- 0:00Several years ago I covered a case that was beyond creepy.
- 0:04If anything, it turned out to be more of a phenomena than a
- 0:08singular case, and it ended up being quite a rabbit hole of
- 0:11information. And of course, being who I am, I
- 0:15couldn't say no to delving into it.
- 0:18What unfolded before me as I dug deep was an extremely elaborate
- 0:23tale of a supposed demon manifesting in people's lives
- 0:27through the use of Ouija boards, hexes and curses tied to this
- 0:31thing, angry and terrifying encounters, and so much more.
- 0:36All tying back to a singular entity or demonic force that
- 0:41went by several names, but it's most famous was Zozo.
- 0:46I've recently revisited this case in my own personal research
- 0:49out of sheer curiosity once again, and have since gained
- 0:53some newer information that I hadn't initially come across.
- 0:57There's details that maybe I missed or omitted in the
- 1:01original video, and I'll be sharing my encounters with some
- 1:04people I had dealt with and spoken to regarding this entity
- 1:09when I originally made the first video.
- 1:12I'm doing these revisited episodes in an effort to not
- 1:15only remain as honest and open about my research into these
- 1:19topics as possible, but to revisit my own roots to better
- 1:23improve my content moving forward.
- 1:26I now present to you a revisited version of this story, and I
- 1:29promise you there is a ton of new information, there's
- 1:33theories, and more to delve into, so you will absolutely
- 1:37want to stick around from start to finish.
- 1:40For some of you, if you are new here, if you enjoy deep dives
- 1:44into real hauntings, dark history, demonic encounters,
- 1:49unsolved disappearances, and so much more, than you're in the
- 1:54right place. This is one of the scarier and
- 1:57perplexing cases I've covered, so I would not recommend
- 2:00watching this video alone, or in the dark, or both if you like a
- 2:06challenge. Now let's begin.
- 2:10Throughout history, it has been speculated that many have been
- 2:15plagued by an ancient demonic force.
- 2:19From Mesopotamia to more modern times, this evil and terrifying
- 2:25entity has said to enter our world and wreak havoc upon those
- 2:31who dwell within it. When a seemingly normal family
- 2:36disregards the warnings and partakes in multiple Ouija board
- 2:41sessions, what happened next nearly destroyed them.
- 2:46This is the untold story of the demonic Zozo House of Oklahoma
- 2:53and the abhorrent creature that stalks its walls.
- 3:33Oklahoma City, A small but growing city in the heartland of
- 3:38America known for blue collar work and brick and mortar shops,
- 3:45red dirt and sports would soon become known for something much
- 3:51darker. A teenager by the name of Darren
- 3:55Evans was growing up here, a normal boy by all accounts,
- 4:01doing things that any teenagers would enjoy, hanging out with
- 4:05friends, shenanigans here and there, and dating girls.
- 4:12He began dating a girl named Brandy who attended school with
- 4:16him, and the two often found themselves visiting each other
- 4:20as often as they could, whether that was walking to and from
- 4:24school in between classes or visiting each other's homes.
- 4:31One day, while Brandy's home was having some plumbing work done
- 4:35on some pipes located underneath the house, the plumber doing the
- 4:40work would soon make a strange discovery.
- 4:45Located below the foundation of the home, covered in dirt, was
- 4:50an old Ouija board. The front letters were partially
- 4:54buried and the back of the board was solid black in color.
- 5:00Off to the side of where the board was found was an aged
- 5:04planchette. What made this finding even more
- 5:08bizarre was that 4 old jars sat on the corners of the board,
- 5:14speckled with dirt as well. Thinking perhaps the kids had
- 5:19stashed the board away and forgot about it, the worker told
- 5:23the young couple after his work was done about what he had
- 5:26found. And it's from here that things
- 5:29seemingly take a darker turn. Upon examining the discovery,
- 5:36they began to brush the dirt away from the jars.
- 5:39They were then shocked by what they found inside each one of
- 5:44the jars, sitting on the four corners of the board where the
- 5:48decaying bodies of blackbirds congealed, blood and matter
- 5:54still present. Bewildered but intrigued, they
- 6:00sat the jars off to the side and picked up the board.
- 6:05As soon as his fingers made contact with the board, Darren
- 6:09seemed to have an instant connection with it.
- 6:13And with this soon came a burning curiosity to examine it.
- 6:18And this curiosity would manifest into obsession.
- 6:24With this, the couple took the board inside the home where they
- 6:28spoke with Brandy's mother. She actively practiced the
- 6:32Wiccan religion but had no idea who could have put the board
- 6:37there several days later. Curious as most teenagers are,
- 6:43Darren was an avid music fan and one night, after building up the
- 6:49courage to do it, he decided he was going to contact the
- 6:53deceased singer of the popular band ACDC, a man named Ronald
- 6:59Belfort Scott, using the board. Scott had passed away from
- 7:04alcohol poisoning in 1980. After lighting several candles,
- 7:10laying the board with letters facing towards him, and placing
- 7:14the planchette upon the board, he began his session.
- 7:19At first, nothing seemed to happen, but Darem was still
- 7:24feeling this otherworldly connection to something within
- 7:27the board itself. After trying for half an hour,
- 7:33to his shock and amazement, the planchette began to move.
- 7:39Slowly at first, it then frantically began to move by
- 7:43itself, moving from Z to OZ to O over and over and over again,
- 7:54spelling out the name Sozo. Shocked and unsure of what or
- 8:01who he had contacted, Darren said goodbye in an attempt to
- 8:05end the session. Before his eyes he saw the plain
- 8:10chest spell out See you in hell and then it threw itself across
- 8:16the room. A now terrified and bewildered
- 8:19Darren ran out of his room and tried to make sense of what had
- 8:23just taken place. But this was just the beginning
- 8:28of what was to come. It started with horrible night
- 8:32terrors. He would wake up unable to move
- 8:36or speak and would hear whispering in his ears.
- 8:41These episodes at night were soon followed by banging and
- 8:44knocking throughout his house during the daytime, as well as a
- 8:48constant feeling as if he was being watched by something he
- 8:53couldn't see. But despite the presence he was
- 8:57feeling, Darren now sought answers to his ever growing list
- 9:01of questions, just what exactly he had uncovered.
- 9:06So he continued to hold sessions with the board.
- 9:11For better or for worse. Darren would later quote this.
- 9:17The sessions now were as intense and paranormal as anything I've
- 9:22ever witnessed. A deep and terrible moaning
- 9:25could be heard emanating through the walls.
- 9:28After these sessions, I developed sleep paralysis and
- 9:33became reclusive to society in general.
- 9:36I was once again messing with Zozo and Ouija boards, despite
- 9:41the terrors of my earlier sessions, which I had promised
- 9:45myself I would never do it again.
- 9:48But again, and again I did. When not in use, the board was
- 9:55kept in a purple silk cloth and stored in his bedroom closet.
- 10:00It would also often go missing, sometimes for days on end.
- 10:06When checking back where he had placed it in order to set up and
- 10:10initiate a new session, the board would seemingly vanish,
- 10:16only to reappear at random times as if it was the one calling the
- 10:20shots of when it could be seen and used.
- 10:26The years came in wind and the sessions on the Mystical Ouija
- 10:30board continued. Darren by this time started
- 10:35inviting his friends to partake in the sessions, and although
- 10:39their sessions with him would prove he's not insane, it's of
- 10:43little consolation considering the tragedy they would seemingly
- 10:48manifest later on. Darren's best friend was a man
- 10:53by the name of Randy. The two had bonded over their
- 10:56love for the band ACDC in high school and had been inseparable
- 11:01ever since. Randy's idol also being the late
- 11:05Bon Scott, whose lifestyle seemingly imprinted upon the
- 11:09youthful teens Once Upon a time and perhaps would ultimately
- 11:15lead to the downfall of one of them.
- 11:18By now, Darren was living in his own apartment and working
- 11:22construction at a job site he was on.
- 11:26He would make a strange but familiar discovery.
- 11:31As he was digging down into the earth, he found what appeared to
- 11:35be a jar. Upon picking it up to discard
- 11:38it, he wiped away the dirt and debris only to be shocked by its
- 11:44familiar contents. Loan and behold, within the jar
- 11:49was a congealed and rotting Blackbird, extremely similar if
- 11:55not identical to the ones initially found alongside the
- 11:59Ouija board under underneath his high school girlfriend's home
- 12:03all those years ago. It was particularly weird not
- 12:09just because of this, but the fact that he had found it
- 12:13digging down deep into the earth.
- 12:16He wondered what were the odds of this, and although he had no
- 12:20way of knowing for sure, his gut began to tell him that there was
- 12:24some kind of witchcraft or a cult expertise at play here.
- 12:30Perhaps someone or a group of people were knowingly contacting
- 12:34this entity known as Zozo. But for what remained to be
- 12:39known, one evening in 1985, Darren and Randy were relaxing
- 12:46at Darren's apartment when they decided to host a session on the
- 12:50Ouija board. Randy, more than anything,
- 12:54wanted to try and make contact with his late idol, Bon Scott
- 13:00while wearing a Highway to Hell ACDC shirt.
- 13:04Randy's intent was clear. The two dimmed the lights, lit a
- 13:09couple of candles, and began the session upon the board.
- 13:14They made contact within a few minutes once the planchette was
- 13:19moving. Randy exclaimed.
- 13:23We want to talk to Bon Scott of ACDC.
- 13:28With this sentence, the planchet seemingly obliged.
- 13:33It moved in circles, eventually spelling out a YEMATE.
- 13:41The 2 looked at each other in amazement.
- 13:44The entity was using Australian dialects, and for anyone who
- 13:48doesn't know, Bon Scott was Australian.
- 13:53After several more questions, both of the young men were
- 13:56convinced they were speaking with their idol.
- 13:59The spirit seemed to know every little detail to any question
- 14:03they asked and during the session the entity then made a
- 14:08strange request from the men. It asked them to light a
- 14:11cigarette and place it in the hole in the plane jet.
- 14:16What proceeded to make both of them laugh also made them quite
- 14:19spooked as well. So they lit a couple cigarettes,
- 14:24one for each of them and one for this entity.
- 14:29They took a few drags to keep it lit and then placed it cherry
- 14:33side up in the Blanchette hole. The Blanchette then spelled out
- 14:37thanks. They then watched an utter
- 14:40amazement as the cherry of the cigarette lit up as if Bon
- 14:45himself was taking puffs off of it.
- 14:49But this amusement was short lived.
- 14:54Once the cigarette had seemingly been smoked, playing Chet began
- 14:58to spell something very different.
- 15:02It's spelled F you Randy. I will have your soul and I'll
- 15:08see you in hell. Zo Zo terrified the men quickly
- 15:16into the session by saying goodbye and tossing the board
- 15:19outside the second story apartment balcony door.
- 15:24Clearly scared and upset, Randy also didn't take kindly to
- 15:28threats. He began cussing out Zozo with
- 15:32complete and utter rage. The board would later be
- 15:36returned by his downstairs neighbor and after this session,
- 15:41a series of lows for both of the men seemed to manifest in the
- 15:45years to come. Influenced by the lifestyle of
- 15:49his idol, Randy fell victim to alcoholism.
- 15:53He soon would lose his wife to divorce and have split custody
- 15:57with his son. And although many opportunities
- 16:01presented themselves for Randy to better his life, for one
- 16:05reason or another, he was always just too far away to be able to
- 16:09grasp them, he often said to Darren, I feel like I'm in a
- 16:14prison and I can't escape for old time's sake.
- 16:20The two did one last Ouija board session together in 2005, in
- 16:26which Randy asked the board how he would die.
- 16:30The board responded in a car at night alone.
- 16:37In 2007, after spending the evening with Darren, the last
- 16:41words he would say to him were Darren, I will see you in hell.
- 16:47The next morning, Darren received a phone call from
- 16:50Randy's girlfriend Alicia, saying that Randy never made it
- 16:54home after he left. Instead, he had passed away in a
- 16:59violent head on collision, ultimately passing away in a car
- 17:05at night and alone. This devastating passing, along
- 17:10with the frequent contact with the entity known as Zozo over
- 17:14the years, led to a fascination and borderline obsession with
- 17:19the search for answers for Darren Evans.
- 17:23During the time before and after Randy's death, he had been
- 17:27living in a home in Oklahoma City, OK that would become
- 17:32synonymous with the demon's name.
- 17:35It was here that the worst afflictions brought on by the
- 17:38entity would take place to him and his family.
- 17:43Darren's fascination with the occult led him to hanging on to
- 17:48and possessing multiple Ouija boards and other various occult
- 17:52objects. It was here that he began to
- 17:56study on a much more in depth and organized basis, just trying
- 18:00to figure out who or what Zozo was.
- 18:05But this research would soon be interrupted, and this home lived
- 18:11himself, his wife Kathleen, and their young daughter at the
- 18:15time. During a session with his wife
- 18:19Kathleen one evening while their daughter slept rooms away, Zozo
- 18:25would once again make itself present in their lives, but this
- 18:29time seemed to take possession of Darren.
- 18:33Kathleen trembled with fear and bated breath as something stared
- 18:38at her through Darren's eyes, something that clearly wasn't
- 18:43human. He then turned violent,
- 18:47attempting to attack her. Fortunately for Kathleen, she
- 18:52was able to say goodbye and get away before any harm could be
- 18:56done to her. Several minutes later, Darren
- 19:00would come back to himself with no memory of what had taken
- 19:04place. After this session, things
- 19:09seemed to escalate in intensity. Sounds began to rap throughout
- 19:15the entire home, from knocking to hissing, footsteps and
- 19:22banging, all seemingly with no explainable origin.
- 19:29The family got so terrified that they sectioned off a particular
- 19:33bedroom upstairs, calling it their safe room.
- 19:38One night. However, not everyone was within
- 19:41the safe room. Suddenly, an overwhelming sense
- 19:46of terror creeped upon Darren as he was trying to sleep.
- 19:51He rushed to the safe room to attempt to stop what he was
- 19:54feeling, but quickly realizing he couldn't leave his family
- 19:58behind, he rushed back out of the room and then attempt to
- 20:02gather them and bring them to safety as well.
- 20:07As he was heading towards the stairs, his daughter had heard
- 20:11his cries. And was now at the foot of the
- 20:14stairs. It was here that Darren saw her
- 20:18being lifted by invisible hands into the air and carried away
- 20:24from him, screaming for his child as she screamed for her
- 20:30father. Darren ran down the stairs as
- 20:33fast as he possibly could, but couldn't see her anywhere.
- 20:37Insight. He then heard her muffled
- 20:40screams coming from the basement.
- 20:44At first the door was locked and wouldn't open, but after
- 20:49adrenaline and brute force, Darren thankfully was able to
- 20:53open it. He then retrieved his hysterical
- 20:56child and brought her to the safety of the safe room.
- 21:01Once inside the room, the family huddled together in fear as they
- 21:06continued to hear movement and noises all throughout the house.
- 21:11After this abhorrent nightmare of a situation, the family knew
- 21:15they had to get out of the house.
- 21:18This situation and the many other paranormal experiences had
- 21:22led to a lifelong fascination for Darren Evans with the occult
- 21:27and finding out just exactly what Sozo is.
- 21:32But was it worth jeopardizing his family's safety?
- 21:36It took some time, but the family would soon relocate to
- 21:40another home. And once his family was safe,
- 21:45Darren was able to continue his deep dive into the unknown to
- 21:49try and track down and decipher just what this entity could be
- 21:55and where it came from. And although he knew the topic
- 21:58was vast, I think it went far deeper than he ever anticipated.
- 22:04Whilst trying to dig up more information, he posted his
- 22:08experiences to an old paranormal forum in 2009.
- 22:14And since then, many, many people have shared their
- 22:19experiences with the demonic force, many of which have been
- 22:24documented and compared by Darren himself on his website.
- 22:29But these experiences are not just the 21st or even 20th
- 22:34century phenomena, they date back far older than that.
- 22:39Not every fine detail will be mentioned here, but I will do my
- 22:43best to list the most important details that I could find in
- 22:48regards to the origin of Zozo. According to Darren and other
- 22:52online sources, Zozo in the old Basque language means Blackbird
- 22:59or crow. The Zo people of Haiti practiced
- 23:03a form of voodoo whose rituals involve horrific scarification
- 23:08as well as the intake and passing around of bodily fluids
- 23:13and bizarre rituals. Their witch doctors are called
- 23:18Zozo and wear demonic looking masks as part of their death
- 23:23ritual. When someone is passing away,
- 23:27they lift up the mask at the moment of death to take in the
- 23:30person's final breath. This is apparently done to
- 23:34absorb the soul of the person to gain more spiritual power.
- 23:40Zozo, also in the Malay language is the same as it is in English,
- 23:45but it translates to wandering spirit, which is the spirit they
- 23:50believe to steal people's souls while they sleep, which is also
- 23:55bizarre because sleep is often considered the cousin of death.
- 24:00Zozo has been called the minister of deception.
- 24:04It is known to convince you that it is the deceased loved one or
- 24:07friend or even someone you've idolized, when in reality it's
- 24:14not. Sessions typically start out
- 24:17friendly and inviting but soon turn malevolent and dangerous.
- 24:24During his research over the years, Derren made contact with
- 24:29and spoke to famous demonologist John Zappos, who shared with him
- 24:34that in his experience of over 40 years of studying the demonic
- 24:38and paranormal, the name Zozo and other pseudonyms of its name
- 24:44kept coming up in his investigations, which too led
- 24:48him to seek answers as to what it could be.
- 24:52And some of those investigations, when questioned,
- 24:56the demon stated that it was the son of Satan himself.
- 25:00But Zapfis thinks perhaps is with many deities that seem to
- 25:04be lurking in the shadows, Zozo could be an entity that's
- 25:08existed far before the founding of Christianity.
- 25:13Besides evidence showing up in Africa and Egypt, there's also
- 25:18evidence found linking Zozo to ancient Mesopotamia as well.
- 25:24Other names Zozo has gone by throughout the ages have been
- 25:28Zuzu, Zaza, and Mamo, among many others.
- 25:34The name Zuzu could refer to Pazuzu, the famed demon from the
- 25:39film The Exorcist, which in reality was a demonic entity
- 25:43from ancient Mesopotamian religion.
- 25:47It's incredibly strange to note the following as well.
- 25:51Zozo was replaced in the story of the exorcism of Roland Doe
- 25:56and Peter Blatty was using it as inspiration to write The
- 25:59Exorcist. He changed Zozo to Pazuzu.
- 26:05Zozo is believed to be the demon that possessed Roland.
- 26:10It was described as a terrifying form that first appeared in the
- 26:14Neo Assyrian period, roughly around 934 to 610 BC.
- 26:21It had a monstrous head resembling A fierce lion or a
- 26:25dog with horns, and had an emaciated human body with clawed
- 26:31hands, a scorpion's tail, and two sets of wings, One
- 26:38translation reads. I am Pazuzu, the son of Hambu,
- 26:44king of the Lilu demons. I have scaled the powerful
- 26:49mountains. They trembled.
- 26:52The contrary winds were headed West 1 by 1.
- 26:57I broke their wings. Pazuzu and other demons like it
- 27:02were held responsible for ailments like disease, fetal
- 27:06death, nightmares, and much more.
- 27:11Could it be that this ancient demonic force is what could be
- 27:14plaguing people all the way into modern times?
- 27:19The demon Zozo is also mentioned in the French Demonic
- 27:23Encyclopedia. Is one of the demons responsible
- 27:26for diabolical possession and corruption.
- 27:31The possession of a young girl in 1816 is noted as a documented
- 27:36case where Zozo, among several other demons, were present.
- 27:42Other noteworthy possession cases over the ages ranging
- 27:45closer to modern times that bears Ozo's name other than the
- 27:50exorcism of rolling dough in the 1950s are the possession of
- 27:55Doris Blither in 1972 in Los Angeles, the Enfield Poltergeist
- 28:01incident in 1977 in the UK, and as recent as 2012 where a
- 28:10possession incident led to an attempted murder.
- 28:15Other theories with how this entity could communicate with so
- 28:18many people so quickly and across the globe over the years,
- 28:23besides supernatural ability of its own, would be that its own
- 28:27reach is perhaps being strengthened by an agrigor or a
- 28:32collective group of thaw form created by occultists for a
- 28:37certain purpose. However this seems unlikely
- 28:42considering the entity doesn't seem to serve any human interest
- 28:47other than to destroy the person or people's lives it makes
- 28:51contact with. Agrigors are typically formed to
- 28:55bring control over a summoned deity for the person or groups
- 29:00bidding. But perhaps instead there is a
- 29:03cold worshipping Zozo? I mean, that would make more
- 29:06sense to me. People who have made contact
- 29:10with the entity via spirit or Ouija board have also been asked
- 29:14to chant or spell out phrases in Hebrew or Latin, which has
- 29:20convinced many of the intelligence of the being that
- 29:22they're speaking with. What is also interesting is that
- 29:27the letter Z was actually removed from the original Latin
- 29:31alphabet because it was considered too evil when
- 29:34pronouncing it. It was said that one's face
- 29:37would make a death's grimace like that of a corpse, and that
- 29:42it mimicked the letter S like an evil twin.
- 29:47Perhaps the entity uses this name as some sort of mocking,
- 29:51whether to God or something else.
- 29:56One may also ask, despite the origin, theories, and historical
- 30:00details that could be linked to this ancient demonic force, how
- 30:05would one know if they encountered such a thing?
- 30:08These are what's known as Zozo's calling cards when it's being
- 30:12summoned using a Ouija board. The obvious is there that the
- 30:17planchette will begin to move on its own, but some less obvious
- 30:22signs are there as well and are as follows.
- 30:26The planchette will move in a rainbow pattern from side to
- 30:30side, spelling ZOZO over and over again, also known as the
- 30:38rainbow effect. It can also move in repeating
- 30:42Figure 8 movements like an Infinity sign.
- 30:46The planchet will spell out various versions of the demon's
- 30:50name, like Zozo, Zoso, Zaza, Zuzu, or Mama.
- 30:58You may also begin to see shadows moving around the area
- 31:02where you were hosting the session, like you're seeing
- 31:06through the thinnest sheet and to a Dark World that exists just
- 31:11behind your vision. And you and whoever you may be
- 31:15with may start to feel scared, uneasy, or upset, seemingly for
- 31:22no other reason. Before or after this takes place
- 31:28when you tell this entity goodbye.
- 31:30Typically the best way to close a session, it may not truly be
- 31:35goodbye because often times, depending on how long the
- 31:40session has been for, like an ever widening door, the entity
- 31:45may have had just enough time to sneak in to begin to wreak havoc
- 31:50upon your life. And thus begins what many
- 31:53demonologists and religious leaders alike call demonic
- 31:57obsession, which is where the entity becomes aware of you and
- 32:02begins to crave you, which then leads to oppression or begins to
- 32:08inflict various forms of torture upon you in an effort to break
- 32:12you down, whether that's physically, psychologically, or
- 32:18spiritually. It will also work to isolate you
- 32:21from others, especially those who care about you.
- 32:26And finally, if you're incredibly unlucky, possession,
- 32:32where the entity finally takes control of you as its vessel.
- 32:37All of which to me, are absolutely terrifying in every
- 32:41imaginable way. Darren Evans to this day
- 32:45continues to research the Zozo Phenomena, having been involved
- 32:49in the number of paranormal investigations, shows, and
- 32:54various other public and private events, as well as radio shows
- 32:58and podcasts, many of which he goes into various degrees of
- 33:03details regarding his encounters, other people's
- 33:06encounters, and other various historical details.
- 33:11He also in 2016 compiled his year's worth of research and
- 33:15experiences into a book, also titled The Zozo Phenomena, which
- 33:20you can read and learn more about the entity and the topic
- 33:23as a whole. If you're interested, I'll link
- 33:27it below. I also pulled a lot of this
- 33:30information from various interviews, which I'll also be
- 33:33linking below, as well as an older website he runs that
- 33:37doesn't seem to have been updated in a while, but supplied
- 33:41me with much information to get the story as cohesive as I
- 33:45possibly could. I also sourced the photos of the
- 33:48apparitions from this site, some of which were taken by Evans
- 33:52himself over the years. So does this demon or ancient
- 33:57force truly exist? Is it some kind of elder God, a
- 34:03pre Christian deity or being or manifestation of occult or
- 34:09Luciferian practices? Did Darren Evans just make it up
- 34:15and did thousands of people find it interesting enough to make up
- 34:18their own stories and partake in a mass charade that has lasted
- 34:22years? All of these answers may never
- 34:25truly be known, but my opinion is this I think not only given
- 34:31the wide array of strange coincidences and details
- 34:35throughout history. From the origins to the stories
- 34:38of this creature existing in distant past to the present, to
- 34:44literally thousands of people. From casual interest in the
- 34:47occult, to more hardcore fanatics, religious scholars,
- 34:53demonologists, and more claiming to have had experiences with
- 34:58this thing. With all of these details in
- 35:01mind, I certainly think it very well could be real.
- 35:06I do think there are things that exist in the shadows, things we
- 35:10can't see or touch that are there watching and waiting to
- 35:15strike when and if the opportunity presents itself.
- 35:21So my advice to all of you to avoid any possibility of opening
- 35:25a door that you can't close and inviting evil into your life is
- 35:30this. Don't mess with Ouija boards.
- 35:35These things are not toys. Whether you believe it or not,
- 35:39these entities do exist and they believe in you.
- 35:43So keep away from them, because you might just let something in
- 35:47that won't want to leave even if you say goodbye.
- 35:59Man, we're to begin with this one.
- 36:01This may end up being a little bit out of order, but so be it.
- 36:05So when I initially made the original Zozo video, the one
- 36:09that we just watched together, I didn't hear anything from Darren
- 36:13himself, but rather someone who claimed to be a friend of his
- 36:17who went by the name of Butch, which is presumably an alias.
- 36:22Butch said that he had known Darren for a long time and that
- 36:25he was a stand up guy. He provided me screenshots of
- 36:29proof and what not of their relationship, so I believed him.
- 36:34Among those screenshots, Darren had said that yes, the majority
- 36:39of the original homes in which the activity had taken place and
- 36:42still stood, including the house that was featured on Ghost
- 36:46Adventures, and that it was in his still standing and is
- 36:50located in Oklahoma City. I think I might have referred to
- 36:54Oklahoma City as a small city, and perhaps compared to some
- 36:58metropolises like Los Angeles or something, may you know?
- 37:03Maybe it is, but for the most part it's considered fairly
- 37:06large, particularly in the Midwest, so my apologies there.
- 37:11But to my knowledge, it is a rental property or was and is
- 37:16more than likely occupied at the moment.
- 37:19So with that being said, please don't ever harass or bother
- 37:23anyone who might live there. Who even knows if they're aware
- 37:27of its particular significance. Anyways, Butch had also said
- 37:31that himself, along with others and especially Darren as well,
- 37:35were scared to even mention the name and albeit that seems to
- 37:38vary from show to show or blog to blog.
- 37:42Of course, if one did indeed have these horrendously scary
- 37:45experiences dealing with this entity, then one would be
- 37:49terrified to even mention it due to its possible return, right?
- 37:54But it also made me think that what if this was all some kind
- 37:58of tulpa? A tulpa, for those unaware, is a
- 38:01thought form or mental entity created through enough focused
- 38:06thought and visualization. Its concept originates from
- 38:10Tibetan Buddhism and has since been popularized in modern
- 38:14Western contexts. The concept describes a being
- 38:18with its own independent consciousness, personality and
- 38:23will that is created by a person, sometimes referred to as
- 38:27a tulpa mancer. And it doesn't really specify if
- 38:30the person has to be fully aware of what they are doing or not in
- 38:34order to create 1. So this is speculative at best.
- 38:38But what if Darren inadvertently created this thought form and it
- 38:42started manifesting more in his life?
- 38:45And as time went on and it gained further strength and due
- 38:49to its story or stories of it being disseminated through the
- 38:53Internet, what if it then essentially took on a life of
- 38:56its own and began manifesting in other people's lives as well?
- 39:01I mean, although Darren and some of my own research conclude that
- 39:05there may perhaps be references to a Soso or Zozo or Mama type
- 39:11entity throughout various ages and whatnot, we do know that
- 39:15Darren was a big fan of Led Zeppelin and probably still is.
- 39:19And this is something I didn't really mention in the previous
- 39:22video, the first one that is. But Jimmy Page, the guitar tars
- 39:27for Led Zeppelin, who kind of deserves a video all of his own,
- 39:31was obsessed with the occult. And his favorite occult symbol
- 39:35that he often used as a trademark of sorts of his works
- 39:39was one that spelled the name Zoso ZOSO.
- 39:44So Darren, who maybe was already interested in the occult himself
- 39:49and maybe had other occult related experiences, might have
- 39:53inadvertently tied the two things together.
- 39:56And one thing led to another and we ended up with this tulpa that
- 40:00keeps showing up and gaining strength, the various forms of
- 40:04media and exposure, kind of like what we're doing now, wink wink.
- 40:09And that's why it allegedly keeps showing up during people's
- 40:13Ouija board sessions. I'm curious that if it had some
- 40:17other type of medium or tool associated with it, like a
- 40:20scrying mirror for example, if we'd have the same results or if
- 40:25we'd see the phenomena adapted to that said scrying mirror
- 40:29versus a Ouija board. If that isn't the case, then
- 40:32perhaps we are dealing with the real deal.
- 40:35It very well could be an actual entity that maybe we're not
- 40:38fully capable of understanding. Certainly seems to feed off
- 40:42negative energy, human curiosity, and exploits the
- 40:46doorway that is supposedly opened by a Ouija board.
- 40:50Or, and this is all devil's advocate speculation here, it's
- 40:55made-up. But if it was all made-up, the
- 40:58likelihood of a lot of other people having experiences would
- 41:01certainly be much lower. Now.
- 41:04People do want to be a part of things, whether they were or not
- 41:07for one reason or another. It's called confabulation or
- 41:12maladaptive storytelling, depending on the context and
- 41:15intent. Confabulation is often an
- 41:18unconscious act where a person fills in memory gaps with
- 41:22fabricated but believable stories they genuinely believe
- 41:26are true. Maladaptive storytelling,
- 41:29however, is a broader term that can include more intentional
- 41:32lying to create a better self-image, even if it's
- 41:36harmful. So it is possible that maybe
- 41:39that's what's taking place, or maybe, just maybe, the
- 41:43phenomena, the entity or entities perhaps exist and are
- 41:49waiting and lurking from the shadows.
- 41:53I wasn't sure if I was going to mention this or not, but here
- 41:56goes nothing. Darren, from what I recall,
- 41:59didn't say anything to me on the original upload of the Zozo
- 42:02story, but had since commented on my Demonology Archives video
- 42:07at some point, definitely early on when it had come out.
- 42:11And his comment, albeit I can't remember verbatim what he said,
- 42:15seemed angry with me for some reason.
- 42:18And this has happened with multiple people over the years,
- 42:22so he's certainly not the only one.
- 42:24But the comment has since been removed ages ago.
- 42:27But I thought it was worth addressing finally, because
- 42:30maybe he'll watch this too. At some point during my
- 42:33rereading of the emails his friend had sent me, his friend
- 42:37told me that he had been dealing with some kind of copyright
- 42:39issues as a result of some deal that he had made with some
- 42:42project he was involved with. So if that's indeed the case,
- 42:46which honestly and understandably so, I'd be angry
- 42:50too. But that has nothing to do with
- 42:52me, bro. So to Darren, if he happens to
- 42:55be watching, I've done my best to respect your experiences,
- 42:59your bodies of work and the latter, and I wish you nothing
- 43:02but the best. Whatever I did, which I'm not
- 43:05even sure what that was to upset you, it certainly was not done
- 43:09out of malice with him as well as others.
- 43:13All information I provide I get through a variety of sources.
- 43:17It's all publicly available knowledge.
- 43:19Those of us who are in this field, and I'm sure I'm not the
- 43:22only one, can't always find the contacts for those involved in
- 43:26cases we're asked to and end up covering.
- 43:29And I wanted to say this as well.
- 43:32If any of you watch my content, you'll see that I do my absolute
- 43:35best to be understanding and respectful when it comes to
- 43:38telling people's experiences and reminding those who watch that
- 43:43these are real people with real lives and that they need to be
- 43:47respected. That respect and empathy is
- 43:51incredibly important to me. I also, with others, and Darren
- 43:55is no exception here, do my best to link their case back to their
- 43:59bodies of work, whether it's blogs or books or other
- 44:03interviews or what. Have you?
- 44:05I want people to do their own research beyond just my videos,
- 44:09you know? But anyways, just wanted to lay
- 44:12all of that out there for the sake of being transparent and
- 44:16open. As a person as well as a
- 44:18creator. I have nothing but respect for
- 44:20those I deal with and will continue to do my absolute best
- 44:24to uphold integrity with what I do.
- 44:27I'm sure that there are other details, in this case
- 44:30specifically that I could provide, but honestly it's
- 44:33nothing major aside from what I've already mentioned and there
- 44:37are many informational bits that Darren has included in his blogs
- 44:41and books. All of which I will.
