Ep. 3729 HUGE BACKLASH as Mamdani Faces MASSIVE SCANDAL!!! · Turley Talks

• 0:00
[SPEAKER_02]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
• 0:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Dr. Steve Turley joined me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
• 0:18
  [SPEAKER_02]: This is Turley Talks.
• 0:20
[SPEAKER_02]: certainly hasn't been a very good start for Zoron the not so magnificent New Yorkers are pissed big time as they ought to be a mere eight days in office that's all it took for the very same voters who complained about affordability to realize that they just elected the guy whose policies will make everything more expensive and it just got a whole lot worse.
• 0:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Hey games, me, Doctor Steve, or a Patre Professor, you don't make sense that the madness with breaking news and analysis, you're not going to hear anywhere else, so make sure to smack that bell and subscribe button.
• 0:59
[SPEAKER_02]: The not so amazing Zoron Mamdoni is facing the wrath of New York City voters today.
• 1:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Just one week in the office in his constituents already feel completely betrayed.
• 1:12
[SPEAKER_02]: On January 4th, just three days after Mamdoni was sworn in as New York City's 112th mayor, promising all of this free stuff.
• 1:22
[SPEAKER_02]: New York Transit and a very different opinion, subway and bus fairs throughout the city officially increased.
• 1:30
  [SPEAKER_02]: They got more expensive.
• 1:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Fairs were raised to $3, so the socialists who promised free this and free that get sworn in and in literally days, transportation costs go up.
• 1:43
[SPEAKER_02]: One New Yorker took to social media and complained, quote,
• 1:51
[SPEAKER_02]: another wrote the mayor promised us free rides and we were deceived.
• 1:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Now to be fair to Mamdoni, he did not actually cause this fair increase.
• 2:02
[SPEAKER_02]: The MTA board, a state run authority controlled by Governor Kathy Hulkel, approved the hike back in September 2025 months before Mamdoni took office.
• 2:12
[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, as it turns out, we're now learning the mayor doesn't even control transit fees.
• 2:20
[SPEAKER_02]: But that didn't stop Mandani from promising this.
• 2:24
[SPEAKER_02]: But the question is, how you'll make them free?
• 2:26
[SPEAKER_03]: We will fund the revenue that would otherwise have been brought in from fairs.
• 2:29
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's something that we would do in partnership with Albany.
• 2:32
[SPEAKER_03]: And I put forward two proposals.
• 2:33
[SPEAKER_03]: The first is to raise taxes on the top 1% of New Yorkers by 2% that would raise $4 billion.
• 2:39
[SPEAKER_03]: The second is to raise the state's top corporate tax rate to match that of New Jersey, which would raise $5 billion.
• 2:43
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to... Now, if you don't know, his numbers there are actually blatantly wrong.
• 2:49
[SPEAKER_02]: The guy, as it turns out, is actually a tax and math illiterate, and of course New York's press course to ideologically infested to notice, Mamdonny fundamentally does not understand or at least at that time did not understand how marginal tax brackets work.
• 3:08
[SPEAKER_02]: So, as you just heard there, Mamdonny promised a 2% income tax on millionaires, which he said would raise $4 billion.
• 3:19
[SPEAKER_02]: There's just one catastrophic problem with that.
• 3:22
[SPEAKER_02]: New York City uses a marginal tax bracket system for its income taxes with four current brackets.
• 3:29
[SPEAKER_02]: So your income is divided into segments, right?
• 3:32
[SPEAKER_02]: With each segment getting taxed at progressively higher rates, it starts with the 3% tax, and goes to a 3.7% 3.8% and finance 3.9% on every dollar above those earning 50,000.
• 3:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Mamdonny's plan would add a fifth bracket at 6% on every dollar earned above $1 million.
• 3:59
  [SPEAKER_02]: Here's the brutal reality.
• 4:02
[SPEAKER_02]: His calculations, which you just heard there, where he gets the $4 billion figure from assumes that the entire $1 million is taxed.
• 4:12
[SPEAKER_02]: The entire $1 million is time.
• 4:15
[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't realize that someone making exactly a million and one dollars would only end up paying an extra six cents because that's how marginal tax rates work.
• 4:27
[SPEAKER_02]: You pay a tax on the income you make.
• 4:30
[SPEAKER_02]: When you pass the specific dollar threshold, it's not a tax on the entire million dollars.
• 4:36
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the guy was voted into office literally on a scam, or in his case, just tax and mathematical illiteracy, and New Yorkers are finding out the hard way that the mathematics of money always ends up winning.
• 4:51
[SPEAKER_02]: Reality, always wins in the end.
• 4:54
[SPEAKER_02]: And here's why that matters.
• 4:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Mamedoni's entire campaign centered on one massive promise, making every bus in New York City completely free.
• 5:06
  [SPEAKER_02]: You heard him yourself.
• 5:07
[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, Mamedoni responded to the rate hike that went into effect just a couple of days after he was inaugurated by hopping on the Q70 bus.
• 5:17
[SPEAKER_02]: New York's only free bus route to La Guardia Airport, and he posted photos to social media
• 5:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, great questions, or on.
• 5:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's imagine that, especially given the fact that it turns out that you as mayor have nothing to do with that.
• 5:36
[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, the numbers tell a very different story than your campaign rhetoric.
• 5:42
[SPEAKER_02]: As it turns out, making New York City buses quote, free, whatever that means.
• 5:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I just consider that, network would require full state funding, state funding.
• 5:53
  [SPEAKER_02]: right from Albany.
• 5:55
[SPEAKER_02]: It would require full-state funding and it would require MTA approval.
• 6:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Governor Hulkel has already said there is simply no budget allocation for it imaginable.
• 6:06
  [SPEAKER_02]: None.
• 6:07
  [SPEAKER_02]: Zipo.
• 6:08
[SPEAKER_02]: The MTA is currently fighting a massive fair evasion crisis and expects to lose $1 billion that's billion with a B by 2028 if they don't get it under control.
• 6:21
[SPEAKER_02]: The agency just raised fair specifically to generate an additional $350 million in annual revenue.
• 6:30
[SPEAKER_02]: They're not about to eliminate bus fairs and lose billions more.
• 6:35
[SPEAKER_02]: Just not going to happen especially when you're proposals based on a fundamental misunderstanding of how marginal tax rates work.
• 6:43
  [SPEAKER_02]: And here's the kicker.
• 6:46
[SPEAKER_02]: One in five New Yorkers already can't afford.
• 6:49
[SPEAKER_02]: public transportation and current prices.
• 6:51
[SPEAKER_02]: The city has a fair fairs F-A-I-R-F-A-R-E-S fair fairs program for low-income residents, but the application process is just so burdensome and the income thresholds so strict that a family of four has to earn less than $48,000 a year to qualify far below the city's median household income.
• 7:19
[SPEAKER_02]: to unaffordable transit isn't to make it more efficient or expand discount programs or whatever, even for the privatizer, like no, it's to make it quote free.
• 7:31
[SPEAKER_02]: There's that socialist efforts, which means taxpayers foot the bill while service quality continues to decline classic socialist math, but if you thought that was bad.
• 7:44
[SPEAKER_02]: wait until you see the disaster.
• 7:46
[SPEAKER_02]: The utter disaster waiting in the wings.
• 7:50
[SPEAKER_02]: This is going to absolutely blow your mind.
• 7:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Let me ask you a very serious question.
• 7:57
[SPEAKER_02]: If you could earn consistent double digit returns that are actually guaranteed by the government,
• 8:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Why on earth would you continue to gamble on Wall Street?
• 8:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Because Iranians are watching their currency lose 60% of its value in six months.
• 8:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Most Americans don't realize that their own investments come with some serious risk as well.
• 8:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I just learned about a method that's completely different from a good friend of mine, Jay.
• 8:25
[SPEAKER_02]: It's backed by government authority.
• 8:27
[SPEAKER_02]: The returns are set by law, and you can actually test the waters with this little $50.
• 8:33
  [SPEAKER_02]: No market timing, no.
• 8:35
[SPEAKER_02]: complicated strategies, no dealing with tenants, just a couple of spare hours a week.
• 8:41
[SPEAKER_02]: That's it with minimal cash, but maximum returns.
• 8:46
[SPEAKER_02]: This is the kind of predictable, law-based yield strategy that institutions and hedge funds have quietly relied on for years, but most Americans don't even know about it.
• 8:56
  [SPEAKER_02]: That isn't till now.
• 8:57
[SPEAKER_02]: I asked Jay how long it would take to teach me.
• 9:00
[SPEAKER_02]: He said, yeah, less than an hour, not only explained the strategy, but actually implement right in front of me, shows me how to do it.
• 9:08
[SPEAKER_02]: So I asked him if he could do the same thing for a few hundred of my friends, and Jay said, of course he could.
• 9:16
[SPEAKER_02]: So he's going to host a free live masterclass this Tuesday evening.
• 9:22
  [SPEAKER_02]: at 8 p.m. Eastern.
• 9:24
[SPEAKER_02]: It's all online, absolutely free, and he's going to show you exactly how the system works, why the government guarantees the returns, and how everyday Americans can get started with very little time and very little money.
• 9:38
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's live only, no replays
• 9:44
[SPEAKER_02]: to register that's turlyclass.com or just text turly to 72,000 that's turly to 72,000.
• 9:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Again, Tuesday at 8 p.m. Eastern, if you want predictable returns without the risk and volatility that we're seeing destroy economies around the world, register now at turlyclass.com or text
• 10:14
[SPEAKER_02]: She is Mamdoni's director, the mayor's office to protect tenants.
• 10:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Weaver is a longtime Democratic socialist of America member and tenant organizer who previously led housing justice for all a non-profit of course funded by George Soros.
• 10:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Within just 48 hours of her appointment, some of her old social media posts started resurfacing.
• 10:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Now we're not talking about edgy tweets from high school, we're talking about explicit calls for communist property seizure in 2018.
• 10:50
[SPEAKER_02]: She posted sees private property in another tweet a year later.
• 10:55
[SPEAKER_02]: She called private property, including especially home ownership is a weapon of white supremacy.
• 11:02
[SPEAKER_02]: And in December 2017, she posted, elect more communists.
• 11:08
[SPEAKER_02]: Now those comments turned out to be rather embarrassingly hypocritical after the New York Post exposed the fact that her own mother, a white woman owns a home in Tennessee worth over $1.6 million.
• 11:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and by the way, that jacket she's wearing in the picture?
• 11:27
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 11:28
  [SPEAKER_02]: $229.
• 11:29
  [SPEAKER_02]: I love the internet.
• 11:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Rules for the, not for me, but if you can believe it, it actually gets worse.
• 11:38
[SPEAKER_02]: A 2021 video has just resurfaced where she said this.
• 11:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the reality is that for centuries, we've really treated property as an individualized good and not a collective good, and we are gonna transition in to treating it as a collective good and towards the model of shared equity will require that we think about it differently, and it will mean that families, especially white families, but some POC families who are homeowners as well,
• 12:13
[SPEAKER_00]: are going to have a different relationship to property than the one that we currently have.
• 12:19
[SPEAKER_02]: So there you have it first man, Donnie promises to tax what he called quote, whiter neighborhoods and now his own administrative officials been caught saying that particularly white families are going to have to have a different relationship to property than the one that they currently have.
• 12:36
  [SPEAKER_02]: Now,
• 12:36
[SPEAKER_02]: The good news that is in DC, Harmeet Dillon, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights and the Trump Administration, she's issued a very public warning to Mamdoni and his administration.
• 12:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Just because you're white doesn't mean you have fewer rights in this country.
• 12:52
[SPEAKER_01]: We all have equal rights in our country.
• 12:54
[SPEAKER_01]: And we will not stand for New York City violating any federal law whatsoever.
• 13:00
[SPEAKER_01]: They should be on notice there on high scrutiny.
• 13:02
[SPEAKER_01]: And we will swoop right in and do what's necessary to protect all citizens and taxpayers and residents of New York where they're legally.
• 13:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Now the irony in all of this is that New York's housing crisis isn't the result of two little regulation.
• 13:18
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the result of too much between 2015 and 2024.
• 13:24
[SPEAKER_02]: New York City enacted at least six major housing interventions.
• 13:30
  [SPEAKER_02]: Rent freezes in 2015, 2016, 2020.
• 13:33
  [SPEAKER_02]: Universal
• 13:37
[SPEAKER_02]: the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act 2019, a COVID eviction moratorium and good cause eviction laws.
• 13:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Each was sold as protecting tenants and restraining rent growth.
• 13:52
[SPEAKER_02]: The result rent prices exploded.
• 13:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Media and rents in Manhattan have gone up 25% since 2015.
• 14:04
[SPEAKER_02]: As many 60,000 rent stabilized apartments, 5% of the cities stabilized stock are now warehouse and sitting empty because landlords can afford code compliant renovations under rent control restrictions.
• 14:19
[SPEAKER_02]: The vacancy rate, city wine, 1.4%, only 1 in 100 apartments is available for rent, and 154,000 New York City public school children, you heard that right, 154,000 are classified as homeless.
• 14:39
  [SPEAKER_02]: Progressive housing policy.
• 14:42
[SPEAKER_02]: did not solve the crisis.
• 14:45
[SPEAKER_02]: It made it exponentially worse as it always does.
• 14:49
[SPEAKER_02]: And Mamedoni's answer is more of the same.
• 14:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Rent freezes public seizure buildings and attacking property owners, especially white ones.
• 15:00
[SPEAKER_02]: The good news is more New Yorkers than ever have had it.
• 15:06
[SPEAKER_02]: They're either fleeing, the refugee crisis has started with the left-to-ge crisis, as we like to call it, has already gotten started, or they're staying, and they're fighting back.
• 15:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Either way, Mamdoni's pipe dreams are being revealed as just that, each and every day.
• 15:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Then, till then, New York City is indeed following a socialist blueprint, and let's just hope the rest of America is paying very close attention.
