Transcript
- Lucas: Luna, welcome back. Ready to park ourselves at a park again? Luna: Always. I think I've got birds on the brain now. So are we doing more bird stuff? Lucas: We are. But today, just one new phrase. Something simple but beautiful. Luna: Oh, I like the sound of that. One thing I can really lock in. Lucas: Exactly. So imagine you're at the park, and you see a bird flying in the sky. You want to say: the bird is flying. Luna: The bird is flying. In Telugu? Lucas: పక్షి ఎగురుతుంది. Luna: పక్షి ఎగురుతుంది. Lucas: Perfect. You already know పక్షి means bird. And ఎగురుతుంది means is flying. Luna: So it's like bird + is flying. Nice. Say it once more slowly? Lucas: పక్షి ఎగురుతుంది. పక్షి ఎగురుతుంది. Luna: పక్షి ఎగురుతుంది. I think I've got that. Bird is flying. Lucas: You do. Now imagine you're in the park. You see a little sparrow. You say... Luna: పక్షి ఎగురుతుంది. Lucas: And what if it's a big crow? Luna: పక్షి ఎగురుతుంది. Lucas: Right. The same phrase works for any bird. And you can combine it with what we learned before. Like, పక్షి ఎగురుతుంది and పక్షి పాట పాడుతుంది. Luna: Oh, so: the bird is flying and the bird is singing. That's a whole scene. Lucas: Exactly. You could describe a whole day at the park with just these. Luna: You know, it feels good to be able to say something real in Telugu. Even just a sentence. This show really makes that happen. Lucas: That's the goal. And because we keep it ad-free, we can focus purely on the learning. No distracting commercials. Luna: Yeah, that's actually huge. A lot of language apps are full of ads or upsells. Lucas: We deliberately don't run ads here. If you value that approach and want to support it, there's a link: buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Luna: Totally. And it helps us keep making these episodes. So if you're enjoying it, consider it. Now, where were we? Oh, right — the flying bird. Lucas: Let's practice one more time. Look up at the sky. What do you say? Luna: పక్షి ఎగురుతుంది. Lucas: Beautiful. And if you see two birds? Luna: Wait, we haven't learned plural yet. So I'll just say it for one bird, I guess. Lucas: That works. For now, just focus on this. One bird, flying. Luna: పక్షి ఎగురుతుంది. I love that. It's almost poetic. Lucas: It is. And now it's yours. Keep watching the birds this week and say it to yourself. Luna: I will. Thanks, Lucas. This was a good one. Lucas: You're welcome. Until next time, keep practicing.
