- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: All right, good.
- 0:03Speaker 3: Morning, everybody.
- 0:04Speaker 4: Welcome to Thursday.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Thank you for starting with us. Ricky's got those three
- 0:07Speaker 3: things presented by MarksBain Real Estate. What is happening, Ricky?
- 0:10Speaker 2: Jenny has made Billboard Hot 100 history. She's become the
- 0:14Speaker 2: first K-pop artist to spend 20 weeks in the charts
- 0:17Speaker 2: top 10 for her collaboration with Tame Impala on Dracula.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I'm sure you know it. We play it quite often
- 0:21Speaker 2: here on 107.5 The River. The song reached number five
- 0:24Speaker 2: on the chart. It's a first for both artists. Tame
- 0:28Speaker 2: Impala said how excited he was about the success of
- 0:30Speaker 2: the original song, Dracula, but he always felt like it
- 0:33Speaker 2: needed a female singer. Jenny was perfect for it. So
- 0:36Speaker 2: congrats to her on making history. Early voting for the
- 0:40Speaker 2: midterms has started as of yesterday. The voting period runs
- 0:43Speaker 2: until October 29th for early voting. Please check online for
- 0:47Speaker 2: a location near you that has early voting available to you.
- 0:50Speaker 2: You can go to votetn.gov in order to find all
- 0:54Speaker 2: the information that you need. Election day is November 3rd.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Get out there and vote. It is important that you
- 0:59Speaker 2: do so. Also, on that website, there is a lot
- 1:02Speaker 2: of information on voting. you know who's on the ballot
- 1:05Speaker 2: what they are all about uh there's also some other
- 1:09Speaker 2: things that you're going to be voting for on this
- 1:10Speaker 2: ballot that you should know about all that information is
- 1:13Speaker 2: right there it's a one-stop shop for everything you need
- 1:15Speaker 2: to know which makes it really easy and scientists at
- 1:18Speaker 2: the university of colorado have created a new tattoo ink
- 1:22Speaker 2: that can be turned on and off They use different
- 1:26Speaker 2: types of light to turn it on and off. It's
- 1:29Speaker 2: called Phototat, and it's light-sensitive ink. It changes colors in
- 1:33Speaker 2: seconds when it's exposed to ultraviolet light, so it allows
- 1:36Speaker 2: you to show off completely hidden body art, essentially.
- 1:39Speaker 3: So, like, if you've ever.
- 1:41Speaker 2: thought about getting a tattoo, but you're kind of afraid
- 1:43Speaker 2: of getting a tattoo because you don't want it to
- 1:45Speaker 2: be visible all the time. This is a great option
- 1:47Speaker 2: for you. It used to be white ink used to
- 1:50Speaker 2: be something that people would do because they're like, oh,
- 1:52Speaker 2: it's not really as noticeable on some skin tone. So
- 1:55Speaker 2: they would go with that. But this is a whole
- 1:57Speaker 2: new thing.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Whole new way to do it, right?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Kind of crazy.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 2: The researchers are still trying to perfect it. They're still
- 2:04Speaker 2: working on it because they want to make sure that
- 2:06Speaker 2: it's safely inside your skin and isn't going to cause
- 2:08Speaker 2: any problems. But if they can figure that out, this
- 2:12Speaker 2: can be really helpful. And it could also be really
- 2:14Speaker 2: helpful for medical markings for surgeries as well. So we'll see.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Like this ink, obviously they're not going to tattoo you,
- 2:21Speaker 2: but using the ink.
- 2:22Speaker 5: In a pen.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Wanted to clarify that. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are
- 2:26Speaker 2: the three things.
- 2:26Speaker 3: You need to know. Lots of potential applications for that, though.
- 2:29Speaker 3: That sounds very, very cool. Thank you for that, Ricky.
- 2:32Speaker 3: We've got Carly Rae Jepsen tickets on the way for
- 2:35Speaker 3: the first call, or you can get those within 10 minutes.
- 2:37Speaker 3: We've got them today and tomorrow. If you want them,
- 2:39Speaker 3: start your day with us. Here's Ariana as we get
- 2:42Speaker 3: back into the music.
- 2:42Speaker 4: On The World. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Say hello to Maria in Lebanon, everyone.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Hello, Maria in Lebanon.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Hi, everybody. Good morning.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Normally, they do it in unison a little bit better
- 2:54Speaker 2: than that, Maria, but I think they're a little tired today. Yeah,
- 2:57Speaker 2: that was bad. That was pretty bad.
- 2:59Speaker 6: I'll forgive them.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I'll forgive them.
- 3:01Speaker 6: I'm a little tired, too.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Maria, I have a question, because I got really into
- 3:05Speaker 2: spooky season over the weekend, and through the week, I
- 3:09Speaker 2: keep watching all of my favorite horror movies. Do you
- 3:11Speaker 2: know what you're going to be for Halloween?
- 3:13Speaker 3: I do, actually.
- 3:14Speaker 6: What are you going to be?
- 3:15Speaker 7: It's just stalking for me.
- 3:16Speaker 6: I'm going to be rogue from the X-Men.
- 3:20Speaker 2: From the X-Men, yeah.
- 3:22Speaker 6: I have my hair dyed blonde in the front, brown
- 3:25Speaker 6: in the back. And my husband was like, do you
- 3:27Speaker 6: know who you look like? And I was like, I
- 3:29Speaker 6: guess I do.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Wow.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Okay, first off, Maria, I love that you have your
- 3:33Speaker 2: hair dyed like that. That sounds sick. And that is
- 3:35Speaker 2: the perfect, perfect costume. Zach just Googled it because he
- 3:39Speaker 2: has no idea who the X-Men are.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I did look her up and she has so many
- 3:43Speaker 3: cool different outfits. Is it rogue sick? Are you going
- 3:45Speaker 3: to wear the green and yellow one?
- 3:46Speaker 7: Yes, I have the.
- 3:47Speaker 6: Whole body suit and like the jacket and the headband
- 3:50Speaker 6: and the vest. I have like every single piece.
- 3:53Speaker 3: This outfit is going to be so cool. Is anybody
- 3:56Speaker 3: else in your family or your friends going as other X-Men?
- 3:59Speaker 6: No, I'm trying to get my husband to go with Gambit,
- 4:02Speaker 6: which is Rogue's love interest, but he's not really a
- 4:06Speaker 6: spooky season guy.
- 4:08Speaker 2: What do you mean, Maria?
- 4:10Speaker 6: I mean, to be honest, I'm also not a spooky
- 4:13Speaker 6: season girl. Just like dressing up. And we have four kids,
- 4:17Speaker 6: so we go trick-or-treating together. Every year, and I don't
- 4:20Speaker 6: really get to do as much as I would like
- 4:23Speaker 6: to do.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Fair. Tell your husband, if my wife was putting on
- 4:27Speaker 3: Rogue's bodysuit, I would do pretty much whatever she wanted
- 4:30Speaker 3: me to do.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Wow.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:35Speaker 4: All right. So what?
- 4:37Speaker 6: I'll give him that recommendation. I think it'll work.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Kevin's feeling some type of way this morning. Maria, who
- 4:45Speaker 2: knows where he's going to go with this next? And
- 4:48Speaker 2: I can tell he's getting awkward because he's in the corner.
- 4:51Speaker 2: His shoulders are shrinking.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Just tell her she won, Ricky.
- 4:54Speaker 2: You won tickets to see Carly Rae Jepsen at The
- 4:57Speaker 2: Truth on May 10th.
- 5:00Speaker 6: I've never won anything.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Oh, congrats.
- 5:03Speaker 3: It's a big day. Congratulations.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Hey, thank you.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Thank you for calling the show. It's going to be
- 5:08Speaker 3: May 10th. We love Carly Rae Jepsen. We've got these
- 5:11Speaker 3: tickets again tomorrow. Happy Halloween to you. Send us pictures
- 5:14Speaker 3: or don't, whatever. We're going to put you on hold
- 5:18Speaker 3: to get all your information, okay?
- 5:20Speaker 6: Thank you so much. I'll stay on the line.
- 5:23Speaker 2: She's got a great laugh.
- 5:25Speaker 3: She does.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Kevin, how do you constantly do this? You make it
- 5:29Speaker 5: more and more awkward every single day.
- 5:31Speaker 3: That's just me, baby. It's a gift. It's something. Be
- 5:35Speaker 3: here tomorrow if you want those tickets.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Zach had a pretty wild experience over the weekend, and
- 5:43Speaker 2: I cannot wait for you to hear it, but I
- 5:45Speaker 2: also need to apologize to him for something.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Oh, I'd love an apology, but you guys.
- 5:50Speaker 5: My rental car, like we rented a car, it was
- 5:52Speaker 5: repoed while we were renting it.
- 5:54Speaker 2: That's the funniest thing.
- 5:56Speaker 3: I've ever heard. We're going to get the whole story
- 5:58Speaker 3: right after Dominic Fyke and Ricky's apology, which is a
- 6:01Speaker 3: nice little added bonus. We don't hear those too often.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Coming right after this song.
- 6:05Speaker 1: On the river.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 6:08Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Something just happened to Zach that I have never heard
- 6:13Speaker 3: of before. He took a quick trip down to Florida.
- 6:16Speaker 3: And while you were there, what happened, Zach?
- 6:18Speaker 5: So my boyfriend and I took a quick trip down
- 6:20Speaker 5: to Florida. And so we rented a car via Turo.
- 6:23Speaker 5: Have you heard of the app?
- 6:24Speaker 1: Yes.
- 6:24Speaker 2: That's where you rent other people's cars.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:26Speaker 5: So like somebody owns a car, you rent it for
- 6:28Speaker 5: the day. So we rented it for the day so
- 6:30Speaker 5: we could kind of beach hop like because we were
- 6:32Speaker 5: down in Tampa and there's St. Pete, there's Clearwater, like
- 6:35Speaker 5: a bunch of beaches around. So we just wanted to
- 6:37Speaker 5: go beach hop. So we rented the car.
- 6:39Speaker 3: We ended up in St.
- 6:40Speaker 5: Pete and we were like walking around the St. Pete
- 6:43Speaker 5: Pier and was like, oh, this is so pretty. Walk
- 6:45Speaker 5: back to the parking lot. The car is gone. Like
- 6:49Speaker 5: literally nowhere to be found. So we called the customer
- 6:51Speaker 5: service number on like the parking lot, whatever, the sign.
- 6:55Speaker 5: And they were like, oh, we don't tow cars. We
- 6:57Speaker 5: only ticket them. My mind immediately was like, This car's
- 7:01Speaker 5: been stolen.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Yeah, sure.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Well, we do live in Nashville and that does happen
- 7:06Speaker 2: quite often. So it makes sense that that's exactly where
- 7:08Speaker 2: your brain went.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:09Speaker 5: And so I went in, there was a restaurant nearby
- 7:11Speaker 5: and I was like, hey, did you guys see a
- 7:13Speaker 5: car being towed? And they were like, yeah, it actually
- 7:15Speaker 5: just left. So we ended up calling the St. Pete
- 7:18Speaker 5: police and we were like, hi, here's the license plate number.
- 7:21Speaker 3: What do we do? And they were like, the car's
- 7:23Speaker 3: been repossessed.
- 7:25Speaker 5: In the middle of our day trip that we literally,
- 7:28Speaker 5: we drove an hour from Clearwater down to St.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Pete and it literally, our car was gone.
- 7:33Speaker 5: And so we're just stuck there with no car because
- 7:36Speaker 5: it's been repossessed.
- 7:39Speaker 2: My God.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I didn't know that that could happen.
- 7:43Speaker 2: That a car could be repossessed?
- 7:46Speaker 5: That there's not more like protocol for the owner being
- 7:49Speaker 5: up to date on their payments.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that makes sense.
- 7:51Speaker 1: What?
- 7:53Speaker 2: The app's got to figure that situation out for sure.
- 7:55Speaker 5: Yeah, and we had clothes in the back of the car,
- 7:57Speaker 5: so then we had to, like, find out what tow
- 7:59Speaker 5: truck company came and picked it up. And then we
- 8:01Speaker 5: had to Uber to the tow lot to figure out
- 8:03Speaker 5: where it was and then go get our clothes from
- 8:05Speaker 5: the back of the car.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I was just like, what is happening? What a pain, man.
- 8:09Speaker 2: This is perfect because this leads into my apology.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Okay.
- 8:12Speaker 2: One sec. told both kevin and i that this happened
- 8:16Speaker 2: my initial reaction was wow that really sucks for the
- 8:19Speaker 2: owners i didn't even think about zach in this situation
- 8:24Speaker 2: because i didn't realize that you were an hour away
- 8:27Speaker 2: from where you were like where you originally were staying
- 8:30Speaker 2: and that all of your clothes were in the back
- 8:32Speaker 2: of the car i thought you just like rented this
- 8:34Speaker 2: car and we're taking it around like i was like
- 8:36Speaker 2: oh he'll just take an uber home it probably cost
- 8:38Speaker 2: 10 bucks i didn't realize all of the circumstances I
- 8:41Speaker 2: was like, wow, that really sucks to the owners.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Like they got their.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Also, we don't have any clothes now and we're an
- 8:48Speaker 2: hour away from where we're staying.
- 8:49Speaker 4: And I went.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, that also.
- 8:51Speaker 3: You just assumed it was, like, outside of the hotel
- 8:53Speaker 3: or wherever.
- 8:53Speaker 4: They were staying.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Yeah, like, I figured, like, you were right where you
- 8:55Speaker 2: needed to be, and it wasn't, like, that big of
- 8:57Speaker 2: a deal, so my bad for not.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Initially thinking about you. Hold on, I scrolled back in
- 9:01Speaker 3: the group chat, and Ricky's exact response was, that's super
- 9:05Speaker 3: unfortunate for the owners, LOL. Not a single concern for Zach.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Just to make... I didn't realize....
- 9:15Speaker 5: The picture in your head even better because we had
- 9:18Speaker 5: just left the beach, so I'm just standing there in
- 9:20Speaker 5: a Speedo with no.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Car, no clothes.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Oh, my God, Nick.
- 9:24Speaker 4: No.
- 9:24Speaker 3: See, I didn't know any of that. You had no clothes.
- 9:27Speaker 3: You had to take an Uber ride in just a Speedo?
- 9:29Speaker 4: Yes.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 9:33Speaker 5: I'm sorry. We brought clothes to change into to go
- 9:36Speaker 5: out to dinner.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Have you checked your Uber rating since this? I wonder
- 9:42Speaker 3: what the guy rated you. I'm sure I got five stars. Oh,
- 9:44Speaker 3: it went up.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:46Speaker 3: It went up after that. Let's be real. Well, dude,
- 9:49Speaker 3: we're glad you made a bag. I've never heard of
- 9:51Speaker 3: that in my life. So thank you.
- 9:53Speaker 5: I will say it happens very often because when we
- 9:56Speaker 5: went to the tow lot, they were like, oh, it's
- 9:57Speaker 5: a Turo car.
- 9:58Speaker 3: This happens all the time.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Dang.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Apparently don't rent the car from Turo because this can
- 10:02Speaker 5: happen to you.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Wow. PSA of the day. I don't think they're a sponsor,
- 10:07Speaker 3: but let's hope not. They're not now.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Let's do it. It's just after seven o'clock on this
- 10:15Speaker 3: Thursday morning. Welcome to it. Ricky's got those three things
- 10:18Speaker 3: presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Olivia Rodrigo and Chaperone have a remix coming out tonight.
- 10:24Speaker 2: They've got a remix of Expectations coming tonight with a
- 10:27Speaker 2: music video. I love when they still do music videos
- 10:30Speaker 2: with their songs because it's so fun for me to watch.
- 10:33Speaker 2: It just brings me back. MTV, watching music videos all
- 10:36Speaker 2: the time. There's something about it. Fans had suspected that
- 10:40Speaker 2: a remix was coming. There was a German retailer that
- 10:42Speaker 2: briefly listed the song online, which kind of gave it away.
- 10:46Speaker 2: And as you know, fans find these things and they
- 10:48Speaker 2: find them very quickly. The two know each other pretty well,
- 10:51Speaker 2: so it's really not surprising that they would do something
- 10:52Speaker 2: like this together. They've previously toured together. They both took
- 10:56Speaker 2: part in Olivia's Daisy Chain Fields Festival as well. I'm
- 10:59Speaker 2: really excited to hear it. I cannot wait. And especially,
- 11:02Speaker 2: like I said, for the music video. Dark Rain Tattoo
- 11:06Speaker 2: in Clarksville is doing Out of the Darkness tattoos this weekend.
- 11:09Speaker 2: This is really cool. So their flash tattoos are going
- 11:11Speaker 2: to serve as a fundraiser benefiting the American Foundation for
- 11:14Speaker 2: Suicide Prevention to support suicide prevention, education, advocacy and support.
- 11:19Speaker 2: So you can stop in the shop this Saturday, the
- 11:21Speaker 2: 17th from 12 to 8 p.m. to support their efforts.
- 11:24Speaker 2: No appointments.
- 11:25Speaker 3: It's only walk-ins.
- 11:27Speaker 2: You can check them out on Instagram at darkrainetattoo for
- 11:30Speaker 2: more info. I love this. You guys know I'm a
- 11:32Speaker 2: huge mental health advocate. We all are here on Ricky's
- 11:36Speaker 2: Sacramento in the morning. And this is a cool way
- 11:38Speaker 2: to get involved. Tattoos last forever. And, you know, a
- 11:41Speaker 2: lot of them can really mean something. Some of mine
- 11:43Speaker 2: don't mean anything at all, but some of them really do.
- 11:46Speaker 2: And this is a great, meaningful way to, you know,
- 11:49Speaker 2: give back to that community and help support suicide prevention.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Wingstop has a Sour Patch Kids collab. Sour Patch Kids.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Wingstop? Uh-huh.
- 12:00Speaker 2: It's a special flavor to celebrate Halloween. They wanted to
- 12:03Speaker 2: incorporate candy, I guess, in some way. Sour Patch Kids
- 12:06Speaker 2: Wicked Punch. It was created by mixing sour, then sweet,
- 12:10Speaker 2: red berry glaze. And then they finish it with Sour
- 12:15Speaker 2: Patch Kids bits. So little pieces of them as well.
- 12:17Speaker 2: So you're going to get actual pieces of the candy
- 12:19Speaker 2: on top of the wings. The flavor is going to
- 12:22Speaker 2: be on the menu October 23rd for Club Wingstop members.
- 12:26Speaker 2: And then it goes nationwide on October 27th for everybody
- 12:28Speaker 2: to try. Just a weird collab. I love telling you
- 12:32Speaker 2: guys about the weird collabs.
- 12:33Speaker 3: It sounds like they let a kid just make his
- 12:35Speaker 3: own thing, like all of his favorite foods. Just put
- 12:37Speaker 3: them all in one dish.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Make your dreams come true. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those
- 12:41Speaker 2: are the three things you need to know.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Thank you very much, Ricky. We're going to play Bruno Mars,
- 12:45Speaker 3: and then we are going to learn. We are lifelong learners.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Zach's facts every day after 7 o'clock. He teaches us
- 12:51Speaker 3: something new. We've got one coming next on The River.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Class is in session.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 13:00Speaker 2: On 107.5 The River.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Did you guys know that only male toads make the
- 13:04Speaker 5: loud croaking noise?
- 13:05Speaker 3: Oh, because they're trying to call the women over to say...
- 13:09Speaker 3: Men are so obnoxious.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Every species.
- 13:13Speaker 3: That is actually why, Kevin.
- 13:14Speaker 5: They advertise their presence to attract females to breeding ponds.
- 13:18Speaker 5: It can also establish dominance in warm, competing males to
- 13:22Speaker 5: stay away from prime spots near the water.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Sure, this is my territory. You're so dramatic. That's facts.
- 13:29Speaker 3: And there's your fact of the day. Thank you, Zach.
- 13:31Speaker 3: I'm not defending the male toad or any males at all.
- 13:35Speaker 2: It is obnoxious.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Should we get Halloween off? It's Ricky, Zach, and Mano
- 13:42Speaker 2: in the morning. Halloween is right around the corner. I'm
- 13:44Speaker 2: so excited. I love spooky season. And there's a new
- 13:47Speaker 2: survey that says 58% of American adults say Halloween should
- 13:52Speaker 2: be a national holiday. We should get off on that day.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Okay, well, this specific year, it falls on a Saturday.
- 13:57Speaker 3: But just in general, future years and stuff, do you
- 13:59Speaker 3: think we should get it off? Should we get the
- 14:01Speaker 3: next day off? I have a reason I do think
- 14:03Speaker 3: we should get the next day off. You're not going
- 14:05Speaker 3: to like my reason?
- 14:07Speaker 2: You're already setting yourself up for failure.
- 14:08Speaker 3: You're going to hate this. But yeah, we'll go around
- 14:11Speaker 3: and discuss if Halloween should be off next time.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 14:16Speaker 3: 58% of American adults think that Halloween should be a
- 14:19Speaker 3: national holiday and we get the day off. either Halloween
- 14:22Speaker 3: day or the next day or both. I don't know
- 14:25Speaker 3: where you fall on this.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Or both. I mean, as a resident spooky gal, I think, yes,
- 14:29Speaker 2: we should have Halloween off. Why not? It's a holiday.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Let's celebrate. Let's take the day off. Let's take some
- 14:36Speaker 2: time to like really get in the spooky spirit, get
- 14:38Speaker 2: dressed up and have a good time.
- 14:40Speaker 3: I think it makes more sense the next day because
- 14:42Speaker 3: you were going to stay up late, you know, passing
- 14:44Speaker 3: out candy, going trick or treating with the kids. The
- 14:46Speaker 3: kids want to have a good time. Nobody wants to
- 14:48Speaker 3: be aware.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Let's do the next day. We can agree on that.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Okay, good.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Yeah, nobody wants to be aware of bedtimes, but can
- 14:53Speaker 3: I give you my very specific reason?
- 14:55Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 14:55Speaker 2: We're on your side right now. Well, at least I'm
- 14:57Speaker 2: on your side right now, and I feel like you're
- 14:59Speaker 2: going to ruin it.
- 14:59Speaker 3: The next day, November 1st, all the Halloween stuff gets
- 15:04Speaker 3: taken down and the Christmas decorations go up, baby.
- 15:07Speaker 7: No.
- 15:07Speaker 5: That's why it should be a holiday. I just feel
- 15:09Speaker 5: like it shouldn't be a holiday to begin with. Like,
- 15:12Speaker 5: to me, it's just like corporate greed.
- 15:15Speaker 3: It's just people.
- 15:16Speaker 4: It is.
- 15:16Speaker 3: People getting dressed up. Now you have to go out
- 15:18Speaker 3: and buy more candy.
- 15:19Speaker 5: I was at the grocery store the other day and
- 15:21Speaker 5: a bag of candy was over $ 30.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Well, that's inflation.
- 15:24Speaker 3: That's different. Corporate greed.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Because.
- 15:27Speaker 3: And then you have to buy costumes. You have to
- 15:29Speaker 3: do all of this stuff. You have to buy pumpkins.
- 15:31Speaker 4: No.
- 15:31Speaker 3: You don't have to do any of these things. You
- 15:33Speaker 3: use the same costume every single year. So you're not
- 15:35Speaker 3: out there buying a new costume every year. I'm not.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Because I don't.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Even like Halloween.
- 15:39Speaker 2: You've been peanut butter and jelly with your boyfriend for
- 15:42Speaker 2: as long as I've known you.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Eight years. Halloween rules, Zach, and you're not going to
- 15:46Speaker 3: change our opinion. No, Halloween is not a holiday. It's
- 15:48Speaker 3: the best holiday there is.
- 15:49Speaker 5: It's just a reason for you to go get dressed up.
- 15:52Speaker 5: You can get dressed up on any Saturday. Why do
- 15:55Speaker 5: you have to have a holiday.
- 15:56Speaker 3: And then take the next day off? Think of the kids, man.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Think of the kids. Maybe Halloween's not designed for you.
- 16:00Speaker 3: It's for the kids and for Ricky.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I do agree that you can... For Ricky. For the kids.
- 16:05Speaker 3: And for Ricky.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I do agree that you can dress up whenever you want.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I think that, yes, that is a solid point. You
- 16:12Speaker 2: could do that whenever you want. Love that. I think
- 16:15Speaker 2: more people should. I think they'd be happier. But it's
- 16:18Speaker 2: a fun holiday.
- 16:19Speaker 3: It's not a holiday.
- 16:20Speaker 2: It's a real holiday.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Celebrating what?
- 16:23Speaker 2: Celebrating the night... Well, we're going to get into a
- 16:28Speaker 2: whole thing because there's multiple different people that celebrate different
- 16:32Speaker 2: things for Halloween. But it is a holiday. It is
- 16:35Speaker 2: actually on your calendar as a holiday. And I think
- 16:38Speaker 2: it's fun to have it off.
- 16:39Speaker 3: No, there's literally no point.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I will also say that I grew up to do
- 16:44Speaker 2: to be lazy. I grew up to also do Goosey Night,
- 16:47Speaker 2: Mischief Night the night before. So I would love to
- 16:50Speaker 2: have Halloween off.
- 16:51Speaker 3: What was it called?
- 16:52Speaker 2: We call it either Goosey Night or Mischief Night.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Wow.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Which I found out after moving here, is a very
- 16:58Speaker 2: New Jersey thing only.
- 17:00Speaker 3: I've never heard of that. So yeah, very New Jersey.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Goosey night, mischief night. It's a night that you go
- 17:04Speaker 2: out and you kind of terrorize the neighborhood a little bit.
- 17:07Speaker 2: So you get like a bunch of toilet paper rolls
- 17:09Speaker 2: and throw them in people's yards.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Unfortunately, some people egg houses.
- 17:13Speaker 2: So now you're vandalizing? Well, a little bit.
- 17:15Speaker 3: No, you're purging bad behavior. When I think about you
- 17:18Speaker 3: growing up in New Jersey, every night was goosey night.
- 17:20Speaker 3: That's what.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I think.
- 17:23Speaker 3: It's chaos constantly. But I think it should be off
- 17:26Speaker 3: because the next day is all about Christmas. We all
- 17:29Speaker 3: have our different reasons. Turn this off.
- 17:30Speaker 4: No, I refuse.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Turn this off. It is not Christmas yet.
- 17:33Speaker 4: I refuse.
- 17:34Speaker 2: We are not doing it.
- 17:35Speaker 4: 615-737.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Oh, did you.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Turn it off?
- 17:37Speaker 2: I turned it off.
- 17:38Speaker 4: 615-737-9107.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Halloween lives on. It's back. I'll turn it.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Off again.
- 17:46Speaker 3: What do you think? Should Halloween be off? Let us
- 17:49Speaker 3: know where you stand on this.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 17:53Speaker 3: There's another one of our jingle ball artists, Teddy Swims.
- 17:56Speaker 3: We'll see him in December. Get your tickets at 107.5theriver.com.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Jason and Clarksville, welcome to 107.5 The River. Do you
- 18:02Speaker 2: think that we should get Halloween off?
- 18:05Speaker 8: Not Halloween, but the day after.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Why?
- 18:10Speaker 8: Because for the same reason that you're going to be
- 18:14Speaker 8: out late for the young kids, they're going to be
- 18:16Speaker 8: out late.
- 18:17Speaker 3: They're going to be eating a ton of sugar.
- 18:18Speaker 8: They're not going to be able to focus in school
- 18:20Speaker 8: the next day. Or even if it's a Saturday, let
- 18:24Speaker 8: them sleep in. Let the parents sleep in. But as
- 18:28Speaker 8: for is Halloween a holiday?
- 18:30Speaker 2: Absolutely it is.
- 18:32Speaker 4: All Hallows Eve.
- 18:33Speaker 8: It is the day before All Saints Day where we're
- 18:36Speaker 8: scaring away evil spirits. But it's not just commercial. It
- 18:41Speaker 8: is the one day year where we can absolutely.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Be whatever we want to be.
- 18:46Speaker 3: We grew up being told we could be.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Whatever we want.
- 18:49Speaker 8: And that's not true.
- 18:50Speaker 4: We learned that.
- 18:50Speaker 8: But Halloween is the one day where you can be
- 18:54Speaker 8: whatever you want.
- 18:56Speaker 5: I have so many rebuttals to your argument. Number one,
- 18:58Speaker 5: just because the kids are going to be up late
- 19:00Speaker 5: eating candy.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Maybe be a better parent and put them to bed
- 19:03Speaker 3: on time.
- 19:04Speaker 5: Limit the amount of candy that your children are having. Well,
- 19:08Speaker 5: God forbid that you have rules for your children. Go
- 19:12Speaker 5: to bed on time. Don't eat so much candy.
- 19:14Speaker 2: The guy who has no kids whatsoever.
- 19:17Speaker 5: And that's the one day a year that you can
- 19:19Speaker 5: be whatever you want. That makes me sad. You should
- 19:22Speaker 5: be able to be whatever you want whenever you want.
- 19:25Speaker 8: I would love to tell my boss that.
- 19:28Speaker 3: I'll tell him.
- 19:29Speaker 2: And listen, that's the thing.
- 19:30Speaker 8: I think you guys need to change your costume to
- 19:33Speaker 8: peanut butter and Karen. Oh!
- 19:37Speaker 6: Damn, dude.
- 19:38Speaker 3: That was great, Jason. That was good.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Okay, Jason.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Thank you for calling, buddy. Thank you for your opinion
- 19:44Speaker 3: on this. You're well-spoken. You said it well.
- 19:46Speaker 7: You guys have a great day.
- 19:48Speaker 8: Happy Halloween.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Happy Halloween. And Jason is a very fitting name for
- 19:52Speaker 3: a Halloween conversation.
- 19:53Speaker 2: But I do agree. It is sad that we can't
- 19:55Speaker 2: be whatever we want to be every day. People feel
- 19:58Speaker 2: that way.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Yeah, if you want to wear a Pikachu costume, wear it.
- 20:00Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I think he's also more so telling you not so
- 20:03Speaker 2: much about the costume, but that you can't be whatever
- 20:06Speaker 2: you want to be because he said, tell my boss that.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Be what you want. I'll call your boss.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Brittany in Murfreesboro, what do you think about this? Should
- 20:11Speaker 2: we get Halloween off from work?
- 20:13Speaker 6: I think that we should get the day after off.
- 20:16Speaker 7: So that way you can enjoy the night before and
- 20:19Speaker 7: then not be tired or having to worry about waking
- 20:22Speaker 7: up to take kids to school the next day.
- 20:25Speaker 3: You know what's specifically nice about this Halloween? Not only
- 20:28Speaker 3: is it on a Saturday this year, but it's also
- 20:31Speaker 3: we change the clocks. We fall back that night. We're
- 20:34Speaker 3: gaining an hour Halloween night.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's perfect.
- 20:37Speaker 7: But I feel like during the week, it needs to
- 20:39Speaker 7: be the day after needs to be off because personally,
- 20:42Speaker 7: we do a lot of weekend things when it happens,
- 20:44Speaker 7: when Halloween happens during the week. So that way we
- 20:47Speaker 7: can enjoy it and not be tired the next day.
- 20:49Speaker 7: So if Halloween's on a Sunday through... Thursday, we're at home.
- 20:55Speaker 1: That makes sense.
- 20:56Speaker 5: I have two middle schoolers in my car right now,
- 20:58Speaker 5: and they both agreed.
- 20:58Speaker 7: That the day after, and one said both, but, I mean,
- 21:02Speaker 7: you know, that would be a perfect world, too.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I like where the one's head is at, because both
- 21:06Speaker 2: is where my head's at. Let's get both days off.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I'm with you. And then the parents can sleep in
- 21:10Speaker 3: the next day because the kids wake up and breakfast
- 21:12Speaker 3: is boom. It's right there. It's their bowl of candy.
- 21:14Speaker 7: Done.
- 21:15Speaker 5: Old man Kevin has been wanting concerts to start at
- 21:17Speaker 5: 5 p.m. Why don't we start trick-or-treating at 5 p.m.
- 21:20Speaker 5: so you don't have to worry about being out so late.
- 21:22Speaker 3: It needs to be dark. We're with you, Brittany.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Thank you so much for calling in.
- 21:24Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 21:25Speaker 3: It's settled. Sign it into law, Zach.
- 21:28Speaker 4: No.
- 21:30Speaker 2: We're taking it to Congress.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Hey, we've got tickets to see Matt Rife, the comedian,
- 21:34Speaker 3: next with the.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Game of the Day. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 21:38Speaker 6: On 107.5 The River.
- 21:40Speaker 2: We are about to get into Kevin Mano's Game of
- 21:41Speaker 2: the Day on 107.5 The River. We're doing a classic game,
- 21:44Speaker 2: topical trivia, for tickets to see Matt Rife at Bridgestone
- 21:47Speaker 2: Arena next Saturday.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Kelsey and Gallatin is on the line right there. Hey,
- 21:51Speaker 3: it is awesome. Kelsey, what are you doing today?
- 21:53Speaker 8: I'm taking kids to school this morning.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Oh, so you guys don't have fall break right now?
- 21:57Speaker 3: When is your fall break?
- 21:58Speaker 7: Well, it was last week.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Ah, yes. Did you do anything fun?
- 22:02Speaker 1: Not really.
- 22:03Speaker 8: We took a day trip, but, you know, just stayed home.
- 22:06Speaker 2: It was nice.
- 22:06Speaker 3: That is nice. You're playing Topical Trivia. You get two
- 22:09Speaker 3: out of three of these questions right. You get tickets
- 22:11Speaker 3: to see Matt Reif. Are you ready?
- 22:13Speaker 2: I hope I'm ready.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Let's go, Kelsey. Only one way to find out. Your
- 22:17Speaker 3: game starts right now.
- 22:20Speaker 4: What singer.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Recently made news when she was turned away from buying
- 22:25Speaker 3: an animatronic bird named Molly.
- 22:29Speaker 7: Kelly Clarkson.
- 22:30Speaker 1: All right.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Yes, ma'am. Can I ask whose side of that you're on?
- 22:34Speaker 7: I'm going Kelly Clarkson.
- 22:35Speaker 3: So are we. I don't care what she did.
- 22:37Speaker 5: She could do anything, and I'm still team Kelly Clarkson.
- 22:41Speaker 7: It's Kelly Clarkson.
- 22:42Speaker 2: All right.
- 22:44Speaker 3: You get this.
- 22:45Speaker 4: You win.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Question two. Name one of the four baseball teams currently
- 22:51Speaker 3: competing in the playoffs.
- 22:54Speaker 7: One in the baseball playoffs?
- 22:56Speaker 3: Correct. There are four teams still alive.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 23:01Speaker 6: I'm going to go.
- 23:02Speaker 7: I don't do baseball.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Let's say the Yankees. The Yankees are out. They were swept,
- 23:07Speaker 3: I think, by who swept them?
- 23:09Speaker 2: We're not going to get into it.
- 23:10Speaker 3: The Broom.
- 23:11Speaker 4: The Broom. There you go.
- 23:11Speaker 2: We'll go with that.
- 23:12Speaker 5: The Broom.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Good guess, though, Kelsey. Unfortunately, did not get that one.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Okay.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Okay.
- 23:17Speaker 4: The Rays.
- 23:17Speaker 3: The Rays swept them. That's who it was. Okay, here
- 23:19Speaker 3: we go. Hopefully you get this one. We've talked about
- 23:22Speaker 3: it enough. Over here at 107.5 The River, we recently
- 23:25Speaker 3: announced a big show coming to Bridgestone in December. What
- 23:28Speaker 3: is the name of that concert?
- 23:31Speaker 2: The Jingle Balls!
- 23:32Speaker 1: Yay!
- 23:35Speaker 3: Way to go. You're going to see Matt Rife. Congratulations.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I love the excitement. We're so pumped for you. Have
- 23:43Speaker 2: so much fun watching Matt Rife. Hang on the line, though.
- 23:45Speaker 2: We got to get your info, OK?
- 23:47Speaker 7: Thank you so much.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Just a hair past eight o'clock here on this Thursday morning.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Ricky's got those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Rumors are starting that Billie Eilish has a new album
- 23:59Speaker 2: coming and a stadium tour to follow. So insiders are
- 24:02Speaker 2: saying that her fourth album will be ready early 2027.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Very soon then. Her team is arranging a stadium tour
- 24:10Speaker 2: apparently in order to promote the album. The schedule would
- 24:13Speaker 2: bleed into 2028. So we can expect both a new
- 24:16Speaker 2: album and a stadium tour all coming next year at
- 24:19Speaker 2: some point. Obviously, as the actual news is solidified, I
- 24:24Speaker 2: will let you know. All sounds really great. I'm really
- 24:26Speaker 2: excited for this. New Billie Eilish is, I think, exactly
- 24:29Speaker 2: what we all need.
- 24:30Speaker 3: I think she's got a movie coming next year, too.
- 24:32Speaker 2: She does. Yes, she does. Tailgate Brewery has purchased Yazoo
- 24:36Speaker 2: Brewing Company's facility in Madison. This location will become Tailgate's
- 24:40Speaker 2: primary brewing hub and ninth taproom. Yazoo beer is going
- 24:45Speaker 2: to continue to be produced there as well, which is
- 24:47Speaker 2: great news. So if you love Yazoo, you can expect
- 24:49Speaker 2: to still get Yazoo beer there. tailgate also offered jobs
- 24:53Speaker 2: to the team of yazoo which is also really amazing
- 24:55Speaker 2: um so hopefully they got that all settled and nobody
- 24:59Speaker 2: needs to lose their job and everybody's happy and everybody's
- 25:01Speaker 2: good i just think this is a great uh idea
- 25:03Speaker 2: if this needed to happen as opposed to yazoo not
- 25:06Speaker 2: existing anymore this partnership kind of deal is really awesome
- 25:09Speaker 2: to see And Priceline's predictions for 2027 travel trends are out.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Popular U.S. destinations include Block Island in Rhode Island and Beacon,
- 25:19Speaker 2: New York. For international spots, people are looking into Adelaide,
- 25:23Speaker 2: Australia and Fez, Morocco. Trip maxing and checkmark chasing. are
- 25:30Speaker 2: the top travel trends for 2027. Trip maxing is for
- 25:33Speaker 2: travelers looking for ways to stretch their budget and save
- 25:36Speaker 2: on one part of the trip so they can splurge
- 25:37Speaker 2: on another. So think long layovers for a nicer hotel.
- 25:41Speaker 2: And checkmark chasers are travelers who don't want to see
- 25:44Speaker 2: the world per se. They just want to like check
- 25:47Speaker 2: off a box. So like people who want to see
- 25:50Speaker 2: every NFL stadium, visit every continent, like they kind of
- 25:53Speaker 2: more want to check that box for something instead. I'm
- 25:57Speaker 2: Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you need
- 25:59Speaker 2: to know.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Thank you, Ricky. Go ahead and pop that mint back
- 26:01Speaker 3: in your mouth. She's been holding a mint this whole time.
- 26:05Speaker 2: I put it in my mouth, and I went, oh, no,
- 26:06Speaker 2: there's only five seconds. So I had to take it out,
- 26:09Speaker 2: and now it's covered in spit, and I've just been
- 26:10Speaker 2: holding it this whole time.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Professionalism is unmatched.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Back in my mouth it goes.
- 26:14Speaker 3: It goes back in. Thank you for taking it.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I didn't leave it in, at least, while.
- 26:17Speaker 3: I was talking.
- 26:17Speaker 4: I know. That's what I'm saying.
- 26:18Speaker 3: We appreciate it.
- 26:19Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Okay, I'm just making sure we're on the same page.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Here's Dominic Fike on the river.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 26:26Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 26:27Speaker 3: I need some financial advice, and I'm coming to Ricky
- 26:30Speaker 3: and Zach for that advice. It's 107.5 The River. I
- 26:33Speaker 3: have a question. I have something going on. It's kind
- 26:36Speaker 3: of annoying, but I want to see what you guys
- 26:37Speaker 3: would do in my situation.
- 26:38Speaker 5: You know what they always say, Kevin. When you need
- 26:40Speaker 5: financial advice, ask Zach and Ricky.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Speak for yourself. I have a 401k, okay? I know finances.
- 26:48Speaker 3: I don't even know what that is.
- 26:49Speaker 2: See? I'll help you, Kev. No worries. That's my credentials.
- 26:53Speaker 2: I have a 401k because this company enrolled.
- 26:56Speaker 4: Me in one.
- 26:59Speaker 3: You didn't do anything. You have a job. You have
- 27:01Speaker 3: a 401k. Right after Kat said, I'm going to tell
- 27:04Speaker 3: you what's going on. I want your honest opinion. Tell
- 27:06Speaker 3: me honestly what you would do in this situation. I
- 27:08Speaker 3: can't wait. The question is coming next.
- 27:11Speaker 4: On the road. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Kevin is about to ask both Zach and I some
- 27:15Speaker 2: financial advice, which I think is the smartest move he
- 27:18Speaker 2: can make. Zach spends unlimited amounts of money on TikTok purchases,
- 27:23Speaker 2: and I have a 401k because the company enrolled.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Me in one.
- 27:26Speaker 2: So I feel like we are well qualified.
- 27:28Speaker 3: I agree. I will tell you up front, this is
- 27:31Speaker 3: a very small amount of money we're talking about here
- 27:33Speaker 3: for this financial advice.
- 27:34Speaker 2: That's all we really know.
- 27:37Speaker 3: So I thought to bring it to you guys.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Again, perfect people for this situation.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I just want to know what you would do in
- 27:44Speaker 3: my situation. I have something sitting on my counter at
- 27:46Speaker 3: home and it's been there for a week and it's
- 27:47Speaker 3: just so annoying to look at. And I don't know
- 27:50Speaker 3: if I should throw it away or not. Every once
- 27:51Speaker 3: in a great while, I will get a reimbursement check
- 27:55Speaker 3: from our health insurance that if we overpaid for something,
- 27:58Speaker 3: they'll send us $ 14 or whatever. They're usually pretty small.
- 28:02Speaker 3: But I have a check. It came in the mail
- 28:04Speaker 3: for $ 0.
- 28:05Speaker 2: 03. So is the question whether or not to cash it?
- 28:09Speaker 3: Do I throw it away or do I actually take
- 28:12Speaker 3: the time to sign it and go to the bank
- 28:13Speaker 3: and everything? You don't have to go to the bank.
- 28:16Speaker 3: You can upload it in the app. Oh, I don't
- 28:19Speaker 3: do that. I don't do that.
- 28:20Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 28:20Speaker 3: I'm an old man that's scared of technology.
- 28:21Speaker 2: He also probably doesn't even have the app. You know,
- 28:24Speaker 2: Ali's the one that has the app and does all
- 28:26Speaker 2: of this.
- 28:26Speaker 3: I have my Chase app.
- 28:27Speaker 2: I have my Chase app. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so
- 28:29Speaker 2: then do it that way.
- 28:30Speaker 3: A mobile deposit?
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yes, it's very easy.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Yeah, you just scan the check on your phone.
- 28:35Speaker 2: It's three cents, Kevin. If it scares you so much
- 28:38Speaker 2: and it doesn't work, you're still going to be fine
- 28:40Speaker 2: without the three cents.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Also, Kevin, here's the thing. Health insurance is a racket.
- 28:45Speaker 5: Take them for everything that you can. Take their three cents.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Okay, that's a good point. Show them who's boss. Good point.
- 28:51Speaker 3: And I am a guy. I have a big jar
- 28:53Speaker 3: of change at home. If I find a penny, I'm
- 28:54Speaker 3: picking it up. I'm not ignoring. I'm not disregarding.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you're cheap.
- 28:58Speaker 3: No, I'm not cheap. I'm just, I'm saying like, you know,
- 29:00Speaker 3: a penny, a penny saved is a penny earned. I
- 29:02Speaker 3: still believe that.
- 29:03Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 29:03Speaker 2: You buy sweaters from the kids section at Target. You're cheap, man.
- 29:06Speaker 3: But I was just thinking, well, they fit me. Like,
- 29:10Speaker 3: it's going to cost me more in gas to go
- 29:12Speaker 3: to the bank to deposit this thing.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Don't go to the bank. Do it on the app.
- 29:16Speaker 2: But you should absolutely, like, if you're afraid of doing
- 29:19Speaker 2: it on the app, take the check with you. And
- 29:21Speaker 2: when you're near the bank again, when you're driving around,
- 29:24Speaker 2: go do it then. But you need to cash that.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Three cents is three cents.
- 29:27Speaker 4: My guy.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Cash in. I have almost thrown it in the trash
- 29:30Speaker 3: so many times. I've been sitting there for a week,
- 29:31Speaker 3: and it's just... That makes me, like, Kevin, if you
- 29:34Speaker 3: throw that three cent check in the trash... Why does
- 29:40Speaker 3: this bother you guys so much?
- 29:42Speaker 2: Because it's three cents that was taken from you from
- 29:44Speaker 2: an entity that does not deserve the extra three cents.
- 29:48Speaker 2: So take the three cents and put it back in
- 29:50Speaker 2: your bank account.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Kevin, they rely on people like you.
- 29:52Speaker 5: This is like people that don't use the rest of
- 29:54Speaker 5: the money on their gift card.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Yes.
- 29:56Speaker 3: They rely on people like you. Can you guys FaceTime
- 29:58Speaker 3: me later and walk me through the mobile deposit?
- 30:00Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Kevin found today's Daily Double Tap. And as a parent,
- 30:06Speaker 2: he agrees with what has to be said. It's Ricky
- 30:09Speaker 2: Zaccomano in the morning on 107.5 The River. I would
- 30:13Speaker 2: say parents have either heard this or will hear this
- 30:16Speaker 2: at some point in their lives.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I say it's my mother still to this day as
- 30:19Speaker 3: a grown adult. It's a bulletproof argument as a kid.
- 30:24Speaker 3: So here we go. If you're a kid out there,
- 30:26Speaker 3: this one's for you. parents be like, I put a
- 30:29Speaker 3: roof over your head, clothes on your back, food on
- 30:32Speaker 3: your table.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Ain't that what you're supposed to do? I'm your child.
- 30:35Speaker 1: You have me.
- 30:36Speaker 3: I ain't asked to be here.
- 30:39Speaker 5: That's exactly how I feel when they're like, well, you
- 30:41Speaker 5: should be grateful you have a house.
- 30:43Speaker 3: It is not my fault that I'm here. You chose
- 30:46Speaker 3: this life, bro.
- 30:47Speaker 2: There were multiple things that you could have done to
- 30:49Speaker 2: make sure I wasn't.
- 30:50Speaker 3: They make products for that.
- 30:54Speaker 2: You decided against that. So now, repercussions of your actions.
- 30:58Speaker 3: I mean, the kid, like, I am your responsibility. You know,
- 31:02Speaker 3: I have to have food on the table.
- 31:05Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
