- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: Good evening everybody.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: This is your host Izzy right here on the built in Buffalo YouTube X and Facebook channel again I am your host of the Red Zone report and before we get going I'm gonna go ahead and put this QR code here
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: This is to the built in Buffalo store where you can get some merch.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: We have some pretty awesome sweaters and t-shirts.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: And so check it out.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: Give it a go.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: If you like something, purchase.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know, where we have merch, we've had merch.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, now I'm going to jump in the game and start pushing a little bit.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: Now, to the topic at hand, new era begins, the new coaching staff.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: The Buffalo Bill is starting a lot of stuff new this year.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: Ladies and gentlemen, new coaching staff, new stadium, and probably quite a bit of a new roster.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: I see you in the comments.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: I already sounded like a king on Facebook and on YouTube.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: Appreciate the views.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: We have quite a bit to talk about.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to start off with the obvious.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: The Buffalo bills have promoted, offensive coordinated Joe Brady, from in-house to be our new head coach.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: Now, there are suspicions that it's a Josh Allen Hunter and he had the final saying it and maybe he did, maybe he didn't, I don't know.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's not really for me to say.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't necessarily like the higher f-first, but I do now.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Now that I see the direction that the coaching staff is taking.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Joe Brady has coach Josh Allen for two and a half years.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: He took over in the Ken Dorsey offense, you know, two years ago, was it this year and the year before he was full, he took over for Ken Dorsey and basically ran his playbook,
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: And it's been pretty good, you know, 30 points, a game almost, you know, in both seasons, Josh Allen didn't more efficient, less turnovers by Josh Allen.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: The run game is exploded.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: We have, you know, Josh Allen won the first MVP last year.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: James Cook wanted what is first Russian title this year and as an MVP candidate this year.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: But a lot has been said about Joe Brady and him moving on to be the head coach.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: And it might have been, you know, they didn't want to
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: to another team, you know, by signing another head coach who was probably in a ring in his own personal.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: So they do, they they interview, I think those nine candidates, including Phil Brevers, including Brian Dave will, including Grant, you didn't ski and a slew of other guys.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that Grant, you didn't ski was probably the favorite among Bill's fans.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: Bill's fans really likes the idea of Grant, you didn't ski.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: Even though he's never called plays before.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: and would probably implement his own offense and would hire a play caller.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: It means that the offense and the defense would both be very, very different.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I think most bills, fans, and most fans in general will say that the offense in Buffalo hasn't really been much of the problem outside of the wider server.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, wider server has been kind of a concern.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: But they decided that Joe Brady is the best candidate to be the next Buffalo Bill said coach.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: meaning that the offense would stay largely the same and it's it may see some some more aggressiveness you know Sean McDermott people have accused of being conservative I don't know if I agree with that he can be at times but for the most part I'd say Sean McDermott can be quite aggressive and you know
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: decisive at times, but then other times he'll fall into the conservative shell and not really do things to attack but more to be safe.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know if that's the best plan of action as a head coach and it hadn't really worked for us getting over the hump it into the Super Bowl.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: So what they do, they made a big time decision to fire Shomic Dermit and then they made another big time decision to hire Joe Brady from within.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see if we can have some comments over here.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: Sandra, can you good evening, Izzy?
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: Sandra's always here, appreciate it.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: My man, John Robert, Jim Leonard could be good for the bill's defense.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: We have to wait and see.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I agree.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: And that's one of the things I really like about this new coaching staff is Jim Leonard.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: It was him, Jim Schwartz, and Rahim Morris, that I was really looking at for a defensive coordinator, and we will get into the people we brought in so far.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: So it was the right move, the only other candidates were dabble and you did ski hard pass on both.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: I agree, you know, dabble his time with the Giants and then, you know, the way he handle Jackson Dart last year, really rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: We mean him watch the jets came together a few years ago, and then I met him again, I believe in Jacksonville for a Bill's Jags game that we lost, but yeah, Dan Mitchell's my boy, much love to him, and yeah, I do participate in their Patreon segments.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I honestly thought it would be Clint Kubieck as head coach was what I thought, but I was wrong.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that they might wait for him.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: If he lost the energy championship game, but once they won that game, I don't think that they wanted to wait.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: And Joe Brady was the guy who was, you know, a big ticket guy.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: The Raiders had him in for interviews twice, and so you risk losing him,
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: now could be excited to the Raiders, but he also had the Cardinals job that he could have gone on to.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Bill's job is much more enticing than both of those jobs, obviously, and the Bill's show is Brady.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that you chose Filiary on offense to keep their quarterback happy and their running game sustained, and then they decided that
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: he's going to be able to hire defensive staff and basically they gutted the coaching room if I'm if I'm reading things right.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they may keep one or two of the coaches that were currently on staff, but I'm not sure, but yeah, the defense is completely overall on that side for sure.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: They may keep guys like Rob Boris and there was one guy who coached with him like
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, who do you think will be the DB's coach?
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: So as of right now, they make me rest with us a little bit now.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: As of right now, the bills are targeting somebody.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: And that is the code difference of coordinator, J.V.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: Live from Oklahoma.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: If you look up, just on Google, Buffel Bill's DB coach, it pulls up Jim Leonard as a defense coordinator.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: And then it also pulls up J.V.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: Live.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: as a target.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see what happens.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Oklahoma had one of the best secondaries in college football this past year.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're going to target somebody from college, they better be, you know, top 10 to be on coaching staff.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: And this guy was, you know, codefense of coordinator.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: He was the passing side of the ball.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: So let's go.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see what happens.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Joe Brady has decided to bring in some familiarity.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: For his offensive coordinator, he's brought in Pete Carmichael, right?
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: Pete Carmichael was with him and with Sean Payton in freaking a New Orleans.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: And P. Carmichael has been with Sean Payton for a long time.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's coached some some offenses that weren't very good because of personnel.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: And he's also coached some offenses that were really good due to good personnel.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't called plays and he's not going to aim Buffalo.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Brady's already said that he's going to be the play caller, but Carmichael was part of that Drew Breeze era.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: And then also, I believe he just came from Denver.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: So part of the helping
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: of the growth of bone X.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: So you bring in peak car Michael to help coordinate since you know he can.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then you're the play caller.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's what Joe Brady's going to do.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to call plays while peak car Michael basically gets offensive game plans and and personnel set up.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Peak car Michael is is a good higher in my opinion just because he knows the system already.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: There's not going to be any new verbiage coming in, there's not going to be any new changes, but the Buffalo Bill is going to have familiarity within the language and the play style.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: So the offense is basically going to be the same.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: style.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I see it be more aggressive.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Brady likes to be aggressive.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he may have been handcuffed a little bit by Sean McDermott, which would explain why we ran the ball so much, and why we ran it as effectively as we did.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: That, in effect, we had Aaron Kromer as our offensive line coach.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: he has since retired.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: So once the season ended, Aaron Kramer decided at his time coaching football was done and he didn't go spend time with his family and you know, wish you nothing but the best in the remainder of your life coach.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: If he comes back to football, I wouldn't mind seeing him back in Buffalo because he's one hell of an offensive line coach and there may be some changes on this offensive line too.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: The offensive line, you know, we have a couple free agents out there with David Edwards and kind of a government hit in the market and they're both according to
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: According to SpotTrack.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: which I already have pulled up.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: If I go to offensive linemen, and I go market value sorting, David Edwards is the second most expensive offensive linemen out there with a value, market value of $19 million, almost 20 is 19.908.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: And then, kind of a govern is fourth, that's 16.274.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: So those guys are looking to potentially cash in if spot track is correct.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: Now they're not always correct with their valuation like that, but we'll see what happens, but yeah.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Love the dog in the background.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: That is my sweet, maybe girl Luna, Luna tick.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: Love you.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: She's a good girl.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: Any candidates for wider zebra coach, you can think of off the top of your head.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: Ooh.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I would love to see him bring back Chad Hall, but I think he's already signed somewhere else.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: Chad Hall, you know, he coached up John Brown and Cole Beesley and Stefan Diggs and Gabe Davis.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: And, like, when the Bill's offense was past heavy, he was...
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: You know, a guy, he's still with the giants.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: So he retains John Haber with James Chedhal as giants for zebra's coach.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's done a fairly good job with the giants as well, but he's going to be there.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: Other than that, no, I don't really have any ideas for the whiter sheepers' coaches.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'd have to be someone who looked at like assistant whiter sheepers' coaches or like the firings, and that's a lot.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's a lot.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: I love football, but
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not watching every single team's, you know, firing the stuff that's, it's a thing.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: So, let's go.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: Good to see you brother.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: Good to see you too, Bobby.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: John Robert, Pat Myers is taking Aaron Crowmer's job.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: Look, man, I already had the thing for that boom.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: Pat Myers signed it as offensive line coach.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: He actually has coached under Aaron Crowmer in the past.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's a disciple of Aaron Kromer.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: He last year with the Steelers, which kind of a dumpster fire, what they're everything that happened there.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: They made a playoffs, but this would be real here.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't a very good team.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: They were in a week division.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: They were only team in that division, two make the playoffs at 9 and 8.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: And they had Aaron Rogers and they did fairly well protecting them.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: They were one of the top teams when it came to protecting the quarterback.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: Now, running a ball, they were not as good.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: They are offensive line and was built there basically to protect Aaron Rodgers or who of their quarterback is because it was built, you know, year or two prior to that when they brought in Isaac Samaloo and all those guys and now he's come to Buffalo with the personal we have and we have some very young guys in the Alec Anderson and Sergeant Grant Granger who are looking to potentially take over at Senator and left guard but
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's better brown and we still have those iris torrents at right guard and these get them all practice together They've been on the team for a couple of years now.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: Alcanism and strategic grand-prang Ranger And so they could it could be them up.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: They could be they guys who are stepping up because the bills can make some some cap space.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: I already did the exercise earlier I've done some notes here To make a salary cap space the Buffalo bills all they got to do is restructure Josh Allen beyond Dawkins
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: You cut Taylor rep, Curtis Samuel, and Duane Carter, and then you trade Josh Palmer, and they're like $25 million dollars under the cap.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I can see the bills making all those moves, maybe a couple more, and then they'll be cap compliant.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they could just restructure Josh Allen and become cap compliant, just like that.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: And so there's gonna be some moves that are made.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: And there's a few more guys that can restructure if they really wanted to make cap space.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah, it's going to be, it's going to be pretty exciting.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be pretty exciting.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, but the offensive line coach has got me pretty excited to.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: I love the fact that Joe Bird is going after experience coaches on the offensive side of the ball to help him with that, because he is going to be a very inexperienced head coach, 36 years old.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's in off.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's a coordinator for two and a half years.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, he was a pass game coordinator at LSU when they had that greatest offensive all time in college football history.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: They had ponies at receiver, though, when he was there.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: They had, you know, jettas and Justin Jefferson.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: They had Jamar Chase.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: They had Teris Marshall.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: They had Randy Moss's son, I forget his name.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: That is Moss, I think.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: They had a great offensive line.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: They had Clyde Edwards a layer who,
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: not so great at running back in the NFL, but he'd definitely a good passing, passing, passing, passing back.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I like what they're doing there and getting Pat Myers as they're, oh, as they're Oline coach is really top shelf for me.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: See David Edwards is weird because they value him at tackle, which he's almost never played.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: David Edwards has been a guard for us this whole time, and he's only played guard for us.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: If you chat a whole sign with the giants, unfortunately, yeah, unfortunately, man, Jacob Spears is a, hey buddy, are you doing alright, I can see Josh helping no problem, yeah, yeah, now, this offensive staff really good for, you know, James Cook, I believe.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: and also really good for Josh Allen.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: Now they have to go make the moves in free agency and or the draft, right?
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: And the needs I have free agency and draft.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: Why receiver, linebacker, edge, safety, and interior offensive line, right?
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: Because let's say that we do go with Alec Anderson and Sergeant Grand Panc Ranger.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: We still have to replace them as backups, right?
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: If they're moving on to start, then they have to have backups replace them.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: Right, and I don't think we have anybody in the team, you know, Santana Futures deals who I'm like, yeah, they need to make the 53.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: We need to have competition for them.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: And if they, if they have, we have competition for them, that competition can also back them up.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: We need, we need new guys.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, I mean, spot track values, Edwards as a tackle, despite never playing.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: Do they?
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: Now they have them as a guard.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: I have them on screen right here.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: David Edwards, guard to age 28, six years in the NFL, previous salary, $3 million, market value, 19.98.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guard on here, and in common with Governor Nehabit Center, previous annual evaluation, 7.45 for his previous contract, and his next one is 16.274.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: See, I'm praying he gets key on on point.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: You and me both, you and me both.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: Whoever they bring in, as a wire service coach, needs to be somebody who can help co-chop key on Coleman.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: Key on Coleman has the talent to be a solid number two I receiver, maybe a number one.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: But I think definitely a solid number two.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's had his flashes, and there maybe he was just a rift between him and McDermott, and Coach Pagoulas, or not Coach Pagoulowow, Mr. Pagoulow, coming in and saying, hey, Brennan being wasn't really the guy who wanted Keyon Coleman, the coaching staff really pushed for him, and I'm Joe Brady coming out and saying, hey, yeah, I stood on the table for Keyon Coleman, I wanted him.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: and then him's driving a job ready as the head coach kind of makes sense, but also doesn't make sense.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't make sense because it seemed like he was throwing the dominant into the bus for one and he had a cold, but even though he never directly said it was Sean McDermott.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: But then he drove ready coming out saying, I was the one who wanted them, and I think I can do great things with him makes sense because now you have the chance.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: So here, here's your shot, big guy.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: Go ahead and do what you can.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: This is your pick.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see what you got.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: to do you think they're resigned branding cooks.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they may resign branding cooks, because I think that Curtis Samuel and Joshua Palmer are likely out of here.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: Unless they want to give Joshua Palmer another shot, he wasn't healthy all year.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: He was hurt in camp and then just never really recovered throughout the season.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: So he could get another shot here and maybe they believe that they can do more with him.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that I would bring him back.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he'd be a solid wire see for three or four, you know, you have close your care in your slot as your slot guaranteed.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: You have key on Coleman who they may use in the slot more.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: Then you go get Brandon Cook's breaking back because he's not going to be very expensive and then if you look at the wide receiver market, there's a bunch of interesting candidates at wide receiver that you could sign as free agents, some of them quite expensive and some of them quite cheap, like one day Robinson from the Giants, the dude was targeted 131 times at 92 receptions over a thousand yard receiving at, you know, 114 you only have four four touchdowns though.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: And that's, you know, with his number one riders who were being out and him becoming that number one guy, and with a rookie with a rookie quarterback in Jackson Dart, getting hurt, and then, you know, having Russell Wilson placed some snaps for the first few games, Jackson Dart taking over, getting hurt, James Winston going out there, the quarterback situation in New York was terrible.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: So the guys like Mondale Robinson, being out there, guys like Janet Coker from the Panthers who excuse me, who really picked it up later in the year.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: He was not really a heavy influence on the offense early on in the season but later on in the season.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: Bryce Young really took some shots at him and he didn't let down.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: He was targeted four to three times.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: He caught 33 of those passes.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: So close to 75%, probably around 70%.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: The passer rating went targeted.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: 117.8 for Jen and Coker.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: So he's a guy that can bring in.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: Probably is more like a wire to your four or five.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: Further down to Dept chart, someone to take over that Gabe David's role because obviously Gabe David's end.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: Um, title shepherds are probably not going to be available this coming season.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: All right, they, they got her way too late in this season, and they'll probably out their main their next season as well.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: If we decide to retain game Davis, we look at our wide receiver room as of right now.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: Available to play comes September.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: You have Kalushikir, Kian Coleman, Joshua Palmer, and Curtis Samuel.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody else is basically, you know, broken.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: And so,
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: Gabe Davis being up for the year next year and Tyrell Shavers being up for the year next year they're going to have to bring in some guys and Jayden Coker I believe is a is a really good player who with time can see the field and he's a good blocker six with three to one and 13 pounds that that kid can block so Jayden Coker is a guy that's out there that like Tyquan Thornton for the chiefs
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: $625, so not much of a blocker, but he's probably more of a situational pass catcher.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he had 275 pass naps.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_00]: He had 36 targets, 19 receptions, on those 19 receptions, 438 receiving yards.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: That is a ridiculous number, 23.1 yards per reception.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: Downfield threat right there.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's a speedster, more of a straight line guy.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: Receiving touchdowns three.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: Um, let's see, uh, Brandon cooks this year, didn't have a great year.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't have any touchdowns, but most of his year was with the Saints and then it took him, you know, his first four or five weeks with the bills to really get the offense and learn Josh Allen.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: And then the playoffs, he started making splashes for us.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: I really liked what he did here.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: Then you look at some of the bigger names.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: You have Joann Jennings from the Niners who's 28 years old now.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know if he's as much of a Target he had 643 yards.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I see him more in that Curtis Samuel Joshua Palmer bucket 88 targets 55 receptions Prekin 643 yards nine touchdowns so he did score touchdowns, but
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: Just his production just wasn't super great for me.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: And then the top two guys, I like George Pickens production.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't necessarily like his attitude.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: Do had 131 targets, 93 receptions, 1429 yards and nine touchdowns.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: He did have five drops, so drops are still kind of an issue with him at times, but he is,
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty sure handed and you know when you thrown the ball 131 he only dropped it five times It's not bad 15.4 yards per reception and a passer rating of 120 when they threw them ball He's he's a guy who you know is on my radar and he's only 24 years old
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: But the fact that he's been on, you know, two teams and the Cobb was probably kind of for him and his price tag is looking around 30 million hours a year.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see him being somebody that bills looked wring in.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: But this guy right here, Alex Pierce, who I'm looking at, six foot three, two hundred 11 pounds, 25 results from the Colts.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: He was targeted 83 times, 47 receptions with 1,000 three yards on 47 catches.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: He had one drop all year.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: He had six touchdowns.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: He averaged 21.3 yards per section.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: So he's like Taekwant Thornton in the type of receiver he is, but on a much better scale.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: Passer rating with targeted, 113.7.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: So those are receiver targets.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: I look at in the free agency market.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: He looks about 20 million dollars a year so I don't know if he somebody that the bills are going to look to afford either, but you know Brandon means a wizard at you know Finaling the numbers and making them work so we'll see Definitely want to see Jimbo catch the ball at the backfield.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: I agree there.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: I want Jimbo to to be more integrated in the passing game
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, guess I was wrong, that's a huge money for a guard.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: It is a huge money for a guard, but he did have an excellent season.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like David Edwards had an excellent year.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's 20 years old too, so he's probably gonna be looking to cash in and make that bread.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, if he does, you know, I wish him nothing but the best with his next team.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: He is, you know, in the second half of his cut of his NFL career, it's probably got five, six years left in the NFL.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: you know, guards usually play to about 35 is usually they're sealing, you know, some exceptions, but not a ton of them.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this year, PFF graded him as a 71.4, past blocking was 73, 73, flat, and run blocking 69.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_00]: He played 1,035 offensive snaps, 594 were past blocks, snaps 4 and 41 were run snaps.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: He only committed three penalties and allowed three
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: and then allowed 27 total pressures on the year.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: So he had himself an excellent year.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: Had himself an excellent year.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: See, I hope so Josh really trusts him.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: See, hopefully, Michael Hoyt stays healthy.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: He can play lineback, also.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to get into the defensive personnel because we do have more coaches to talk about.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I mean, I'm really impressed by him.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: See, is there any good wire sheet and free agency?
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: Jacob and Bledger asked that because I already covered it.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, it probably worked before I started covering it, but I went into it and gave you guys about seven or eight names.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: So Bobby Hall, Houghty brought excitement to the team he did.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: He did.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: So I heard some others talking about DJ Moore.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Moore is a guy who is potentially on the trademark it.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he's a number one anymore.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's not really in Chicago anymore.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's what my doing is obviously, but he's probably still capable of being a number one, and he still has the speed.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I want to really trade for water seabird because the price tag is going to be a first-round pick for guys like Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase and the top guys.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be first-round picks, not a first-round pick, multiple first-round picks.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: Don't know if I want to go that route, not to mention you can't get Jamar Chase nor Justin Jefferson most likely because of the deadcap if they're going to cause their team.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: Justin Jefferson is like 72 million dollars dead cap to the Vikings if they trade him pre June 1 and it's like 40 or 50 post June 1.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: So that's likely off the table unless they're looking to completely reset and and eat that cap hit this year and then rebuild next year.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: See, I believe big game game is done.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: He probably is done.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: Unfortunately, I like game as a person and I like him as a as a Why are you before on the team good blocking receiver?
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: Good, you know, picking up slants and also good at getting behind the defense, but not a really big separator I wish him the best See, he was wrecking these two games.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: He played.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: Hoight was a wrecking machine.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: See, a DJ Moore is a lazy rower would not touch.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he's a lazy rower, but, you know, I don't watch the bears much and I don't watch the pants as much.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: I watch the bills a ton.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: If there's a good game on, I'll watch it.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: But if he's a lazy rower, yeah, I'm with you.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't touch him either.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: Keep that.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm good to go.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: Now, back to the subject of coaching.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: We've been over the offensive staff now, special team staff.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Rogers, we signed, I believe he was with the Cardinals last.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: Their special team's unit was, you know, middle of the pack.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: So this is nothing special.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty good, uh, special team's coordinator, but, you know, we had like one of the best special team's coordinators this past season.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: And now we have, you know, kind of a guy who had an average unit last year now was that a personal issue or was that a him issue we don't know we shall see Do we still have a hoit?
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, we do we still have a hoit.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: He signed a three-year deal.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: So we have him for the next two years We have an out in his contract after this year, but if he goes out there and he dominates he's gonna get resigned He's gonna get resigned.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_00]: Hoit is still on the team.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yes
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: now moving on to the defense and this is the big one right this may be even more important than Joe Brady being hired as the head coach and Pete Carmichael is the offense coordinator right the defense is what's getting the change and the defense is what those fans can unanimously say needed the change our defense has been excellent in the regular season right we had the number one past defense this regular season but when it comes to the playoffs we're giving up 30 points again
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: That is an issue.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you can't go from playing in the regular season and game we've got 19 points of game to then the playoff start and all of a sudden giving up 30 points of game.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: Now I understand.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: And agree with the point that during the playoffs, we've had a lot of injuries.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_00]: So like the year where we had to open art on the shelf, met my own shelf and freaking title doubts, and was our only semi-healthy linebacker.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, semi-healthy literally, he was on the injury report.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: And if we had more linebackers, he probably doesn't play.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_00]: But Bayland Spectre was also out.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: So we had to call up freaking AJ Klein,
- 29:50[SPEAKER_00]: off the RV to come to Buffalo to play in the playoffs and we lost that game.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: We gave up 30 points of the chiefs, but we can't keep doing that.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: There's the other year where Trevius White got hurt and Dane Jackson and Levi Walsh were starting corners.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: That was the 13 second game, right?
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: We need to have good depth, but we also need to have a defensive scheme that is aggressive and forces the hand of the offense to do something
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: somewhat of a stake.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: And the Buffalo Bills went out there and they signed Jim Leonard to be their defensive coordinator.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: Now Jim Leonard, people, if you're old enough, we're able to watch the bills, understand the bills, pay attention, and recognize that he was an undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Wisconsin, came to the bills, took a starting job, was a really good safety for us.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: Then when he was no longer on the team, played a couple other places and
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: And started when he retired, he became a coach.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: He then went on to coach at the University of Wisconsin as a defensive coordinator, where for five out of his six years, that defense dominated the Big 10, which is Ohio State, Michigan, freakin' who else isn't that Penn State.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: Some big programs are in the Big 10.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: Some really, really big programs are in the Big 10.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: They dominated.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: They had linebackers like Lil Chanel.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_00]: They had linebackers like Dang.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm brain-fighting on this list of linebackers.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: Wisconsin.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: Leo Chanel Jack Sandborn Nick Herbig is, that's a big one right there, like he had some really, really, really good linebackers know a Berks.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: He was, he was an excellent coach for linebackers and then I was going to come here and implement his new odd front defense because he's not going to run a four three.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: But his subpackage in nickel is a three four is a three four guy he he was coach under Rex Ryan.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: He studied under Rex Ryan and that's kind of the defense he's going to bring in.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_00]: Now I know Bill's fans don't really see Rex Ryan that fondly as a coach, but as a defensive coordinator when he was with the Ravens, they were an excellent defense when he went to the jets.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: That defense carried Mark Sanchez to two AFC championship games in a row.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_00]: They did not win the division those years, but they went to the A.C. Championship two years straight and they lost, but that defense carried them.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: If you're sitting here believing that Mark Sanchez and that offense did, you're out of your mind, right?
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: That restaurant defense is nasty.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: Now.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: I see we need to stud nose tackle.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think we got one, right?
- 33:04[SPEAKER_00]: Deon Walker wasn't one of the most highly rated rookie tackles out of this rap class who generally is a penetrator is like 340 pounds, right?
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna end up being the nose tackle.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: You need to go get another nose tackle to be a depth piece.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's the thing.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: Right, Connor, Pia, do I think Joey Bosa will be resigned?
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: Possibly, very possible.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_00]: We do need some edge depth, but if you look at the edges, right?
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: Because we're going to be running a three, four in base formation, I got, I actually drew it out.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_00]: I know more about four three defenses than I do three fours, but I do understand conceptually with how to run on run a three four In a three four, Joey Bosa, I believe played on the line on the end for the chargers.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's been in.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's been a hand in the dirt guy the whole time Well, I could be wrong about that because him and Kaleel Mack were were there and Kaleel Mack's always been kind of a off the ball
- 34:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I could be wrong.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: I also don't know much about the Charger, so maybe you know there.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: He could be resigned and I'm not sure where they'd play him.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that the bills may not, but they could.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: Playoffs, too many turnovers and penalties.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: Too many turnovers in the Josh Elm, in this playoff game against the Broncos, four turnovers by himself and in James Cook was won.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: We still put up 30 points.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: If Josh hits Dawson Knox on that touch that would have been touchdown past, the games over we win.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: But Josh was out there playing with the broken foot, hurt fingers, and just overall beat up throughout the season.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of it was from his own, you know,
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: He went out there, he held the ball too long, he didn't trust his receivers, and he, you know, he had some guys get open that he just didn't throw the ball to.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of this, a lot of the season on offense, when we had woes was Josh Allen, being in his own head, or just not trusting the weapons.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's, that's a problem.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: And they should address that, but yeah, the turnovers really did us in.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_00]: We had to climb out of a hole, we did, we got to overtime, and then what happened happened.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_00]: So he was up with Milano, will he resign him?
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: No, probably not.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: And he's my favorite defensive player on on on the bills, right, since he was drafted.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: I've said that many times in many my shows.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: See, do you think Jimmy Charlo?
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: will be a good fit for the new three four Jimmy Charles could be yeah because he can play nickel and outside linebacker He's not gonna be a Pass-Russia per se, but he can rush the passer He would be a guy you put out there in a big nickel as a big nickel and Just be a guy who's a rush guy Basically what we would look at Jordan Hancock to be
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: What up, Izzy?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_00]: Joseph A. Brerton, Jr.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: See, I hope they do man.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, if they bring back both, so I wouldn't be mad, but the numbers have to make sense, right?
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: They got to add up.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_00]: Gerard Smith, our Scott, excuse me, is what's good, bro?
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: How are you doing, man?
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's good to see you.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you go by a gerrier Gerard, but welcome back.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: I remember his name.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't seen you in a while, though.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for being here.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_00]: I heard he made join his brother.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_00]: So if Joey Bosa goes to San Fran, good luck to him.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: They those guys get hurt over there.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what it is if it's the coaching staff or the health and wellness staff that they got there,
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but if he goes to, you know, play with his brother, you know, it was nice having you.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_00]: So he love Rex for real for real, sucks as a head coach.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: He does suck as a head coach.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: But as a defensive coordinator, you can't go wrong with Rex, right?
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: I try.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_00]: See, I was the, I was the last year on his deal.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: He took a pay cut last season.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he'll be back, but he was out there doing some things.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_00]: Say, I like the offensive coordinator hiring.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: He worked with Sean Payton in New Orleans and helped Drew Breeze win a Super Bowl.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: He can do the same for Josh Allen.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Josh Allen is not Drew Breeze.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: Drew Breeze is not Josh Allen.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: There are two different quarterbacks.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's not the point.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: The point is greatness, right?
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: Drew Breeze was a great quarterback.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_00]: Skills.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: You can't deny it.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: I remember hearing players talk about Druparies and comparing them to other great quarterbacks and I felt like Cam Newton, who was great while he played.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: His career was shortened due to the injuries and hits that he sustained.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: Don't take away Superman's cape and all that stuff.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: He would say,
- 37:54[SPEAKER_00]: This person, I don't remember who it was, but they said the difference between a quarterback like Drew Breeze and Cam Newton is they both can put the ball wherever they want, but when Cam Newton hits you with the ball, you catch the ball and self defense, which I feel Josh Allen's more like that, but with Drew Breeze when he hits you with the ball, it says if you ran up to you and handed it to you, it's like the touch on the ball is so different.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I mean, Joe Reeves just doesn't have the canon.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Reeves could launch that ball pretty damn far.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_00]: But is this, he knew how hard every time I throw the ball.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_00]: He knew where to place the ball.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: He knew how to keep you and strive and how to take advantage of your momentum.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_00]: And that's really, really key.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's my favorite linebacker, too.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's been my favorite linebacker since he came in.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he should have been an all-pro in one once.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: When training Edmunds was here, he really helped build up
- 38:52[SPEAKER_00]: though.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_00]: If Rex had Jay 17, they would have went to the rule.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: That is a statement.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: That is a heavy statement.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: Because when Rex showed up here, he pissed off a lot of players.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: He pissed off a lot of players.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_00]: Mario Williams, to be one of them, like you got Mario Williams dropping in coverage, he's like, what the hell are we doing?
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then having Mario Williams with his hand out of the dirt standing.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's not Mario Williams game.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: Mario Williams is an inner dirt guy.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: Mario was a 285 pound defensive lineman playing edge and being that athletic.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: If you put him on the line in three four.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: hand the dirt as the defensive end still he wreaks havoc and wrecks makes a bad choices with the bills so I mean I get why bills fence are salty towards him because you know the fact that he pissed off a lot of our guys I mean definitely use Marcel Darius and Kyle Williams in the perfect way and Jerry Hughes
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: And he's the one who discovered Lorenzo Alexander, like he did some really good things, but he also made some really questionable decisions, and that ultimately led to his downfall.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_00]: He think the bills will have the same backup QVs, none are signed.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_00]: It depends on what Mitsubishi wants to do.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I was watching a Joe Brady show earlier, or Joe Marino show earlier, locked on bills.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: I do like Joe Marino.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: Some people don't really mess with him because of his radio personality.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's got like a very radio, hey, how you doing?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Joe Marino, and some people just turned off by that on a video show.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know, on a radio show, people really like that.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: I like Joe Marino.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's very insightful.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_00]: He knows ball and he does fish for views and that doesn't bother me at all, because the point is to get the views.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the guy knows what he's talking about for the most part.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: Man, we did have a good defense, but I think Jim was our DC though.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: So we had a good defense not under Rex Ryan.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: That was under Doug Marone.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: So Doug Marone was our head coach and he hired Jim Schwartz.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_00]: We ran a wide nine, four three style defense.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_00]: where, you know, Kyle Williams and Marcel Davis, we'd have it.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Lorenzo Alexander, Jerry Hughes on the outside.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that defense was nasty.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: It was, Jim Schwartz was a nasty defense of play.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then, Rex Ryan came here and ruined our defense.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: Our defense was top five under Jim Schwartz.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then Rex Ryan took over, and that was it.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the defense.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Benito dropped a ton in coverage.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he did.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: He did.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I like the person that we have kind of right because Greg who's so played wide receiver Greg was so has drop in coverage and can drop in coverage.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: You have a guy in Greg who's so who can do that and has done that.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_00]: So let me break this down.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_00]: In a three four defense, you have three down linemen, usually big dudes, right?
- 41:54[SPEAKER_00]: Usually the size of defensive tackles and the four threes, I want to, you know, four threes, you have your two big fat bastards in the middle and you have two edge rushers.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_00]: In a three four, you have three fat bastards in the middle and two edge rushers.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_00]: Now your fat bastards in the middle are not always like 300 pounds.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: Usually the nose tackle is 315 plus pounds, right?
- 42:12[SPEAKER_00]: Big boys.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then your other guys are usually between like 280 and 315.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_00]: Right, if you look at like the Eagles defense, they have some extra large three four defensive linemen, which is possible and fine, right, when we did it with Chicolium and Marcio Deris, Calamus is like three hundred ten pounds and Marcio Deris is like three thirty, but you have big, big, big, big boys, and so in the three four, you're going to have three guys like like that and you're going to have two edge rushers, right, so basically a five man front.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_00]: Your edge rushers can blitz and fall in the coverage, depending on what the play call is.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think they're moving towards the weak side?
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think they're moving to the strong side?
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: So you have your strong side edge and your weak side edge.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: At linebacker, you have your mic in your jack.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_00]: or your, you know, your two interior linebackers, right?
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: So you have two interior linebackers, two exterior linebackers.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_00]: In this case, the edge rushers are no longer the defensive ends.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: They are the linebackers.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: In a four three, your defensive ends are your edge rushers and your linebackers are generally speaking off the ball, in coverage, all the time, and or blitzers.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: In a three, four, your edge rushers, when they rush the passers are not necessarily blitzing, unless you're rushing both of them.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: That being said, I don't have to explain the front.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: The back end works basically the same as the three four.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_00]: You have your two safety, you have your two corners.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: If you're in nickel, you remove one linebacker or one offensive lineman and you shift.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_00]: Now the way Jim Lennon's defense ran in Denver, when they ran a three four and they were in base because you were only running two wire severs or you were in,
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: 12 personnel or 21 personnel.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, only two receivers out there, two running backs and one tight end or two tight ends and one running back.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: Your linebackers generally speak and covered the tight ends and your wider receiver or your corners were covering the receivers, right?
- 44:10[SPEAKER_00]: In this case, what the Broncos did, which is the system that the gym leaders coming from, the nose tackle would come out, right?
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, in the Buffalo Bill scheme,
- 44:23[SPEAKER_00]: the nose tackle would likely be deon walker.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: Your edge rushers, or excuse me, your defensive ends, no longer edge rushers, but your two guys flanking deon walker, likely TJ Sanders and Ed Oliver, for starters, right?
- 44:38[SPEAKER_00]: We're probably gonna have to gain on the defensive line.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: We'll probably carry more, what we're gonna have to carry more, probably carry six defensive tackles.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_00]: What we call the defensive tackles now
- 44:55[SPEAKER_00]: Your edge rushers are more likely going to be Michael Hoyt and Greg Russo.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: With rotations from Javan Salomon.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_00]: Possibly Dorian Williams because he's he's definitely a good blitzer not so great in coverage, but he can cover now just not that is good as other guys.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: And who are they bringing in right because we don't have a lot we don't have a ton of.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: Of Ed rushes right now on the team pop pull up the Buffalo Bill's roster.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_00]: Sort of a position.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_00]: Joy Bosa's gone.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to say, guys, we're just in a roster.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: Appanessa is on no longer in the contract.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_00]: So it's Greg Russo, Devon Solomon, Michael Hoyt, and is there anybody else?
- 46:05[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see, let me see.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, that's it.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to have to acquire some talent at the edge, which I do have on my list.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: But Michael Hoyt, Jvon Solomon, and Greg Russo, and then potentially linebacker during Williams playing some edge out there.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_00]: linebackers, or going to be obviously to Robrenard, who did come from a three-four scheme, if I recall correctly, from Baylor.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: Right on three-four was a mic in that system.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: So this would be perfect for him.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_00]: You'd have now three fat boys in front of him to help open up rushing lanes for him to get through instead of just two and then, you know, the ends.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_00]: You'd have three more big guys there to help create, you know, havoc in the middle and now to Robrenard will be free
- 46:52[SPEAKER_00]: uh Joanne Drieson still on the team, been spectator during Williams, Milano's gone.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: This is actually good for Joanne Drieson too.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_00]: He ran a 425 at but UB, which we ran here in Buffalo, but if I remember correctly, I believe that they ran some three four stuff at Bryant University where he started off.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: So this is more up his alley.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of the person that we have will fit just fine in the scheme.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: Cole Bishop is a guy who's really, really, really going to benefit from having Jim Leonard on his team.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_00]: Kyle Williams was an effin legend, yes, he was.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: He was a legend.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't put up like gaudy numbers for a difference of tackle, but he was a freaking dog and teams had a game plan for him.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: And the fact that we drafted him in the fifth round of a same draft that we drafted John McCargo in the first round is insanity.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_00]: At Bill's fan, 7883, welcome back, buddy.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm guessing 7883 is your birthday, so July 8th, 83.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: Vance Joseph doesn't use a typical zero.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_00]: He uses a one-shade.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_00]: which Walker can play.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_00]: He also used five texts, which Oliver will fit T. J. Sanders and Theory should fit as well.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're fine.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're fine to first starters, yes, but we're going to need some depth there now, especially with Ogon Jobe no longer being with the team.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: See who we have for D-line defensive tackles.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: Dayquan Jones is out of here.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: If Adiriam Mathes is out of here, Larry or Joe Grees out of here, at Oliver T. Ascender's Dion Walker, are the only three on the roster as of right now.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_00]: And so, yeah, we have our three starters, and they're currently on the roster, but they're the only ones on the roster, so we're going to have to get some guys.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_00]: Land in Jackson, I forgot about Land in Jackson.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we see why he's not on here.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a different section for injury reserve?
- 48:40[SPEAKER_00]: They're certain, they're sure is, yeah.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_00]: uh reserve injured the Wayne Carter another defense tackle as on the roster currently.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he's going to be good in the three four or not, but we'll see Landon Jackson is out there on our is on our team still Taylor rap, I don't see being with the team anymore, but he should be a fine fit as a strong safety in a three four, but he's just didn't look the same as you're he looks scared and skittish ever since that Derek Henry concussion he's not looked the same
- 49:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_00]: On the practice squad, we do have Matthew Jones, but he's likely out of here.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_00]: Shaq Wilson's likely out of here.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we don't really have anybody outside of landing Jackson.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_00]: Who did he get hurt fairly early in the season, so you should be ready to go this season?
- 49:32[SPEAKER_00]: see, TV's days as Mike are done in my opinion, he's a will in his new system and we will either draft the middle linebacker early or throw money at free agent middle linebacker, single tin from Denver.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_00]: Also, my restraint is also a free agent too.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_00]: Denver's got two inside linebackers.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I don't know Bernard's days as Mike are done because he's more of a coverage guy than he is a rusher and in the three four he fits the Mike more than he does the will the the will and his defense is technically a edge rusher right so you have your will you have your your Sam which are your two outside line backers and you have your jack and you have your Mike.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_00]: And your jackline backer, generally speaking, is the one who rushes more.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_00]: You're Mike as a guy who's calling the plays and putting everybody in position and all that stuff, use you covering somebody.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_00]: And that's more of Toro Bernard's strength.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_00]: See, what is Duane Carter doing still in rehab?
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's still in rehab, I think, but I'm not positive.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't heard much about him since the injuries, but we'll see what happens with him.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know if he's on the team this year.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: He might be out of here.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_00]: They may have seen enough, but then again, new coach, new defensive scheme, maybe a perfect fit.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_00]: especially as a rotational piece because he's not going to start.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously we have our three starters on defensive line as of right now that I can tell.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I think our defense will be better next year.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to say.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to say, because our defense, they're out the regular season was very good against the past, not so great against the run.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_00]: Jim Leonard is going to bring in attacking three four style defense more blitzing.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: More simulated pressures, meaning your defensive and we'll drop in the coverage while a lineback of Russia's instead, you can just give me more versatility with who rushes.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, simulated pressures are going to be a big thing within this three four defense.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I do like the simulated pressures because then you don't know where it's coming from right you may rush you know your three down linemen and then your will and then you may rush the three down linemen and your same and you may rush to your down linemen and then both of your edges it just it just really depends.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_00]: it really depends.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_00]: So this defense is going to be very multiple.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's not a basic three four.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a, you know, 10 years back and go.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_00]: It is a very diverse three four defense, which is why when they drop into nickel.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: and other packages, they remove the nose tackle and then keep their defensive ends in.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: So in this case, when they drop to, you know, 425, most likely, if it was just to remove the nose tackle, you'd see the unwalker come off the field, TGS engine, it'll ever on the field, and then have your edge rushers who are your outside linebackers become defensive ends.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_00]: So it's it's very multiple in that sense to where the way your defensive scheme
- 52:28[SPEAKER_00]: is set up will be technically a fourth three on nickel downs when it comes to the schematically a fourth three, even though you're nickel, so you're not in a fourth three and a fourth two five.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_00]: But in base form a three four, it's an odd way to do things.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: And but again, then again, all you're doing is removing that nose tackle defensive ends pinch in outside linebackers come out at the edge, usually still standing, but they could put
- 52:57[SPEAKER_00]: then your two linebackers are still your two linebackers.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_00]: Into your linebackers, then become your will and your mic.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_00]: And then the rest of what's going on there.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: Now that right there is kind of what I think, my man, Bill's friend, seven, eight, eight, three is point is here.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_00]: Because the bill's predominantly with Sean McGermett, ran four, two, five almost exclusively.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_00]: Now this past year, we did go back into our shell four, three quite often.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_00]: Whenever we saw 21,
- 53:26[SPEAKER_00]: 12 13 personnel.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: We did move back into our base formation, and the mic was still to Robert Nard, and then Shack Thompson went to Robert Nard went down with the injury, Dorian Williams and Matt Milano, and Matt Milano definitely got better to have the season look more like Matt Milano at the end, but I want to go back to this comment here, because this could
- 53:56[SPEAKER_00]: I go get Alex Igleton in free agency.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's not to be super expensive, right?
- 54:04[SPEAKER_00]: We see if I go to linebackers.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_00]: I go to linebacker and I go by market value.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Lloyd is the most expensive linebacker here, but tomorrow Davis is a free agent.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's in B38 years old, though.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's 37 now, he's just recently 237.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_00]: Quincy Williams from the Jets is out there.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy who can play in three, four.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_00]: Kate and Ellis of the Falcons who played in the three four with Marie Morris and that defense for the Falcons was good They were damn good Devin Bush is out there.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_00]: Koy Walker is trash.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like him at all and the Kobi Dean hurt too often Bobby Wagner's intriguing.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: You can go get Bobby Wagner To play here Levanta Davis is a reagent, but he's a four three guy, so I wouldn't go after him He's a ease more of a will guy.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_00]: We have enough of those on the team so Bobby Wagner is a guy who I think would fit
- 54:57[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, let's see, Alex Singleton from the Broncos.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's 32 years old, so you'd basically bring him in on a, you know, one or two year deal, a leo shenol from the chiefs of free agent this year.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy who I really like and he played at Wisconsin.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_00]: Leo shenol might be the guy to go after.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted him in the draft, like I wanted the bills to draft leo shenol.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_00]: If he hits the free agent market, the Buffalo Bills.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_00]: Leo and then when they signed him on my next show, I'm hit that doctor evil when they said that they had they owned a movie company and they had signed, actors like Leonardo DiCaprio, I think it was Leo.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's right, right there's me.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_00]: If we get Lielchino, love me some Lielchino.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_00]: I brought back, I guess, warm, hard to tell.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's cracked the bubbly.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I still have to make that one.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just finish it.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_00]: See, Kaine Ellis is good.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_00]: How old is he?
- 56:17[SPEAKER_00]: Kaine Ellis is?
- 56:21[SPEAKER_00]: Right, he came.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's 30.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_00]: in history.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_00]: Other names on the list, Leo Chanel, Matt Malano, who we know we're not going to resign most likely, land and robberies is out there, Justin's friend from the Denver Broncos as well.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's 29 years old.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_00]: So he's young at Alex Simpton.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_00]: You can actually sign him to like a three or four year deal and use him.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_00]: Christian Rose Boone from the Panthers is out there.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_00]: Jermaine Pratt, famously from the Bengals heavy hitting defense from a
- 56:54[SPEAKER_00]: Devon White is out there, Jake Martin, Shack Thompson, not really fit in a three-four, but I mean, he's such a Brainiac, I think he could fit just by anywhere.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_00]: Eric Kendrick's who came out, you know, last second from the Niners and played very well in the playoffs.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_00]: He'd be fairly inexpensive.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_00]: See,
- 57:20[SPEAKER_00]: Brian Osmoa from the Bengals that they haven't really planned out on defense, but every since they fired Joe on the rumo for Lou and a rumo, excuse me, their defense has not really been the same, a chance to rat of the C Hawks, he's 28 years old, he'll be 29 here soon.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_00]: Isaiah Simmons who, you know, has not really
- 57:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I stay away from most of these guys.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_00]: The guys I've I'd look at for the most part are guys like them white question Christian rose brew rose boom leo shin all Alex single tin.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: Stranad.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_00]: Bobby Wagner.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_00]: Quincy Williams.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_00]: Kate Nellis and if you want a tomorrow Davis who's still playing at a high level 13 years in.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, 38 years old after this next conversation, he's 37 now.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_00]: He just turned 37.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you could bring one of those guys in for a one year deal.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_00]: If there's one of the older guys, or like Bobby Wagon and tomorrow Davis, or you could bring one of the younger guys and then draft somebody to sit behind them.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_00]: But I would personally rather look at
- 58:32[SPEAKER_00]: linebacker in free agency, and then draft a wider receiver, then get a wider receiver in free agency, because the position is more expensive.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's just that's the fact of the matter.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_00]: Wider-sever money is way, way, way heavier than the linebacker money.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like as a right now, Lil Chanel, who I love as a player, he was a chief and I hate the chiefs, like all you guys do, the Lil Chanel,
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: Clio Chanel, click it again.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's 25 years old.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_00]: Played at Wisconsin.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_00]: He is market value is 4.6 million annual salary.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_00]: But if we go get an outpears, why do I receive her?
- 59:17[SPEAKER_00]: Who is a number two receiver, right?
- 59:21[SPEAKER_00]: You're looking at $20 million for peers a year versus less than five right about five for the ocean all.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_00]: He knew linebacker.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_00]: How old is Bobby Bobby Wagner's like 35, I think.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_00]: Let me get back to that.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why spot track is making me double click.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_00]: That was over that.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_00]: All right, be wags.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's 35, 0.6 years old, so he'll be 36 when the season starts.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's still playing at a high level.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_00]: His market value is 7.6, 8, 4 million dollars per season.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_00]: So he's valued higher per season than Leo Chanel, but I love me some Leo Chanel dude.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_00]: I love me some Leo Chanel.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, let me check out his production.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I hear people say Leo Chanel,
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_00]: A lot, I don't know if that's the proper way to say it, but it's spelled Chanel, C-H-E-A-S-C-H-E-N-A-L.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_00]: Overall, PFF grade 70.0, Pass Rush grade 56.9, he's done an address, so I don't care about that.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_00]: Run defense grade 76.2, sign me the hell up!
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_00]: coverage grade 72.6, sign me up, Leo Chanel, pounding the table for you, solo tackles 31, assist 14,
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_00]: pass reading allowed 98.8 total pressures 11.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_00]: And he's 25 signed me up.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_00]: See, the Jack is rush linebacker.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Benito, Michael Hoyt for us probably.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_00]: I looked it up.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_00]: Now you're having me look stuff up.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jack linebacker.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you're right, M. Okay, so I had those two crossed in my, I did say, did mention earlier that I'm not as familiar with the fourth three.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so the will is the other interior line record.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, got you.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_00]: So you got me there.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_00]: I am willing to admit when I'm wrong.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_00]: So the jack line record is not what somebody like,
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_00]: freaking a Bernardo play he played play he play will okay so you would you would take away the red the green dot from him and then bring in a leo Chanel or someone like that to then play linebacker like that.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_00]: Gotcha okay.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you there because I would prefer Toro Bernardo to not be the Mike but however I also think I prefer him not to be the will either because the
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_00]: Also, you're saying we don't have a Mike landback in my opinion, but TV can play other inside landback or spot.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_00]: So you'd prefer him to not be the guy calling a defense, you'd prefer him to be the guy who does rush the pasture more.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't agree or disagree with that.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_00]: Because I don't know what he looks like in that scheme on the professional level.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll just let you have this one because I don't know enough about that three four defense to really have as much of a claim.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be studying that a lot more.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_00]: This offseason obviously since we have a three four defense being a little bit of now.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_00]: So this gives me a chance to learn.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think we, do you think there's any way we can work a trade for
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_00]: Nope, and I almost don't want to, the money is going to be crazy.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to have to give up two first round picks.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then on the biking side, it's hell too, because it's $72 billion in dead cap.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's, that's a lot of dead cap.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, let me verify that because I know.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_00]: Um, see, NFC north, sort of Vikings.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_00]: uh... managed roster so just in Jefferson if they were to release him seventy two point two one two million dollar dead cap if they were to trade him for the okay so they could afford to do that but they'd be taking on a forty six point four six two dead cap for them
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_00]: And they are already $40 million over the cap.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I still don't think there's a chance in hell that happens.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_00]: Their cap situation is just too bad.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_00]: They're terrible team right now and they have no cap space.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_00]: And they would have even less cap space if they got rid of them.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think there's a chance in hell, not this year.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, I don't want him.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not because he's not good.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's definitely
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, either the best or the second best wide receiver in the NFL.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_00]: So who wouldn't want that player?
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_00]: I would love that player.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want him because of everything that surrounds him.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_00]: The amount of money the injuries he's he's incurred.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's been in the league for now six years.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he's been injured quite a bit granted a lot of that's because, you know, quarterback putting him in danger.
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I wouldn't I wouldn't want a use of guy.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_00]: I want my own brand new rookie toy.
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I want my own brand new thing.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you guys want, we can do it mock draft too.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we're going over personnel here.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_00]: Let me go over the fourth, three defense.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_00]: A fourth, three defense, not a fourth, three, four, two, five, the nickel.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_00]: If it's run the same way they didn't Denver, that's if, right?
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_00]: Cause I don't know if that's a Jim Leonard thing or if that was a advanced Joseph thing.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_00]: Jim Leonard was not the difference in the coordinator.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_00]: He was the defensive passing game coordinator.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_00]: So he may not run a 425, he may run a 335, which is understandable.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_00]: You're looking at,
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_00]: Starting defensive line in that four, two, five, hoight, Oliver, Dion Walker, I keep him in his nose tackle just because you want a big body there.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_00]: Greg Russo, as you're starting defensive line, then Dorian Williams and Bernard at linebacker, this is only because they're the only ones on the team right now.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so do not take this as I want these guys to start, but the offensive line there, I do.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_00]: The linebackers don't take that as new one and be the starters.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_00]: Take that as that's who's on the team right now, so that's who feels that spot.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_00]: Corners, Christian Benford, Terran Johnson, and Harrison Johnson, obviously as a nickel, and in safety's coal bishop and Taylor rap, and then if you go big nickel, it's like the, why am I, why do I keep thinking this guy's name?
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: Hancock, Jordan Hancock, the safety.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_00]: Bigger hitters and Terran Johnson, but if they had
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_00]: He could be that big nickel as well.
- 1:06:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's played nickel.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's, you know, 225 pounds of twisted steel, sex appeal.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_00]: And that guy could be a guy who's plugging that big nickel and wreaks him havoc.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if they were in a three, three, five, you're a three-down line, and you're going to be your three-down line, and your edge rushes are going to be your edge rushers.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then you're going to have one line back in the middle with the nickel and then two corners and two safeties.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_00]: As of right now, the safeties are bishop and rap, which I don't believe perhaps going to be here.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_00]: So he's just, again, he's on the paper, because he's currently on the roster.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the personal look like on defense as of right now if we started today and this was our roster and this is our coaching staff.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_00]: In base defense Sanders Walker Oliver as the defensive line Ed rushers hoit and Russo line backers during Williams to open our safety's bishop and wrap corners Benford and Harrison for two five.
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_00]: Hoyt Oliver Walker Russo on the line.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_00]: Williams Bernard Linebacker, Johnson at Nickel, Harrison and Benford at Corner, Bishop and Rapid Safety.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we'll be looking at with our current personnel.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_00]: Could we make that work?
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_00]: Should we look to improve?
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_00]: Now, earlier didn't exercise, I mentioned earlier in the show where I went into his botrax roster manager, and I restructured Josh Allen, the on-doggans.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_00]: I cut Taylor rap, Curtis Samuel Dwayne Carter, and I traded Joshua Palmer, and created a whole like 35 million dollars in cap space, so we were at 25 million ish, a little over 25 million dollars in cap space, you go, you go get yourself a leo channel, and then
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think a quick bathroom break guys.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_00]: I will be right back and we'll do my draft.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know why not?
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_00]: Why the hell not?
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_00]: Might as well do a my draft.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_01]: And here we go.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm back.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let me see.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_00]: Good night, fam, is please tag next time you're on.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I'm not done yet, man.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_00]: If you're leaving, because you can't, you can't say you got stuff to do, I understand.
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_00]: But if you think I'm leaving, I'm not leaving.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_00]: I have to use a bathroom quick.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_00]: We'll do a mock rap or quick.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_00]: If you can't be here, then don't.
- 1:09:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's fine.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you have money down here for more than an hour and 10 minutes.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_00]: And so, yeah, who do you think will end up starting next to Bishop?
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_00]: I break things down by position again, safety on the roster.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_00]: We have Cole Bishop, Jordan Poir, Darnell Savage.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Poir is probably not going to be back.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_00]: I would, like before, we fired a Sean McDermott and before hiring Jim Leonard, I would say Jordan Poir comes back as a mentor to whatever rookie we draft or whatever to help fit the scheme, but the scheme is not that anymore.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's a totally new scheme.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, Jim Leonard, former safety, will be the teacher.
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_00]: He will be the teacher and he's going to unleash coal Bishop, coal Bishop is about to be a monster in the scheme.
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_00]: Just want to say that.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_00]: Darnell Savage is a guy that could bring back.
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Taylor rap, they could bring back.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see who's on the.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_00]: Reserved did not report.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_00]: There is lay.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's out of here anyway.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_00]: See to Corey couch is a guy who could play, but I thought he starts.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_00]: Darrell Porter Jr. Not a guy.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, the more hamlin, they could bring back, but I don't see that happening.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if they can't afford to bring somebody in, then maybe Taylor rap is probably out of here.
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let me look at free agents real quick and then we'll do this mock draft.
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_00]: So if I'm looking at free agency,
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_00]: And we go to safety, which is not a super expensive position for the most part, sort of out by market value, Kobe Bryant, Brian Cooker out there, expensive Cameron Kerl, is out there.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's expensive, you're Juan Brisker.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's expensive.
- 1:11:46[SPEAKER_00]: See, guys, I could see us bringing in like Gino stone.
- 1:11:49[SPEAKER_00]: If he's if he hits a free edge of market, read blanket shift in the Eagles is another guy.
- 1:11:54[SPEAKER_00]: I do like, see,
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Cross from the Colts.
- 1:11:58[SPEAKER_00]: I liked Kyle Dugger as a free agent.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_00]: He'd be more than in Box Safety and that's kind of what Jordan Polar does.
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I can see Kyle Dugger being a candidate.
- 1:12:10[SPEAKER_00]: He'll be 30 this year.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_00]: See.
- 1:12:16[SPEAKER_00]: Tony Jefferson is the charges of the guy like he's he's aggressive.
- 1:12:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's aggressive.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
- 1:12:22[SPEAKER_00]: Dolphins, uh, Fethu, Melafon will will be a free agent.
- 1:12:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to have a weird career.
- 1:12:28[SPEAKER_00]: I love them coming out of Syracuse, him at Andre Cisco, who's with the jets.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_00]: Those who are characters you can bring in here.
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_00]: and Jim Lennon can coach up no problem, PJ Locke of the Broncos is another guy.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably the favorite.
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_00]: He probably want to follow Jim Lennon here from the Broncos.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_00]: See, in my opinion, if we get a starting middle line back, a safety that can complement Bishop, legit threat at wide receiver and figure out how to get cook more involved.
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_00]: In the past game, we will be in the mix next season.
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think we'll be in the mix next season either way, but
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_00]: Those three positions are the key.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the most important ones that we need to address his linebacker, uh, wire receiver and safety.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Those three, because we have edge rushers, we just need more of them.
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think we have our starters in Michael Hoyt and in Greg Russo.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_00]: I also think we have a good backup in Javanese Solomon.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_00]: Javanese Solomon is a three, four linebacker.
- 1:13:20[SPEAKER_00]: When we drafted him, he had 16 sex his last year at Troy.
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_00]: We drafted him into six round.
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it was, six or seventh, because he was still on the board.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_00]: And bread, it was like, I just couldn't pass it up, like he's going to play in for us with his hand in the dirt, but at Troy, he was an off the ball, not off the ball, but a, you know, a pass rushing linebacker.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_00]: He was not a pass pushing defensive end.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_00]: He was not big enough today.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's like 235 pounds to 140 pounds.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_00]: He is a, you know, rushing edge linebacker.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_00]: So you have him.
- 1:13:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then that's it.
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, with the salary cap going up, I've viewed a post that they can keep everyone and restructure a few.
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_00]: They could restructure Josh Allen and Dianne Dawkins, and then keep everybody I mentioned.
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think they want to.
- 1:14:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they're gonna cut Taylor rap this is this is the year to have an outness in his contract he's been hurt and he's not been as good as he was his first two years here.
- 1:14:25[SPEAKER_00]: Curtis Samuel it just hasn't worked out there's an outness contract get him out of here the way in Carter he's been hurt the whole time the best ability is availability and we can't keep wasting money on somebody who's not available so doing Carter's out of here and when he has been healthy and available it hasn't it hasn't look good.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_00]: And in Joshua Palmer, they may keep him, like he's a trade candidate in my opinion.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's the out in his contract until next year.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that he's when I could stay.
- 1:14:52[SPEAKER_00]: But I got rid of all four of those guys and then did the restructures and we had more than $25 million in caproom.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_00]: And now it'd be more than enough to sign a Bobby Wagner and then a PJ Lock and then to maybe take a shot at a wider seaver.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_00]: unless you want a draft one, but in my opinion, we're getting rid of Taylor Curtis Samuel and Joshua Palmer, we're going to need at least two.
- 1:15:18[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to need at least two.
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_00]: See, rap has to be really good because his cap savings as opposed to what he will make will make it hard not to cut them exactly.
- 1:15:30[SPEAKER_00]: Rap is going to be gone.
- 1:15:33[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Hancock, he is more
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_00]: corner, nickel corner.
- 1:15:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be like a big nickel.
- 1:15:42[SPEAKER_00]: So like when ever we take Terran Johnson off, but we still run nickel because they're more likely to run or they're running maybe safe tight ends instead of three receivers right there.
- 1:15:54[SPEAKER_00]: Denver has some good defensive players that are depth players and will probably be priced out of Denver's range but would fit perfectly for us.
- 1:16:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_00]: like P.J.
- 1:16:03[SPEAKER_00]: Lock, like Alex Singleton, like Strenad, like they have some guys, and we need those positions.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm talking to me too.
- 1:16:14[SPEAKER_00]: Me too.
- 1:16:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you there.
- 1:16:16[SPEAKER_00]: Superomics.
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go to the damn Super Bowl.
- 1:16:21[SPEAKER_00]: We close some of these tabs here so I can open up the NFL draft buzz website.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_00]: And we are going to do mock drafts out the wazoo this off season guys.
- 1:16:33[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to have some fun with them.
- 1:16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Uh draft simulator.
- 1:16:42[SPEAKER_00]: Let me.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_00]: Boom.
- 1:16:53[SPEAKER_00]: Share screen.
- 1:17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom
- 1:17:29[SPEAKER_00]: It all was gonna be just fine in our new defense.
- 1:17:32[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so we're gonna move that one over here so that way is sliding away and if we'll mock draft simulator, seven rounds with the bills speed, we're gonna go 25 seconds.
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna use a standard Jimmy Johnson trade chart.
- 1:17:56[SPEAKER_00]: and use their draft buzz rankings.
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and with the draft, Buffalo Bill is selecting 26 in the first round, 68th in the second round, 91st in the third round, 12 second in the fourth round, 166 in the fifth round, we have 0, 6 round picks, but we have 27th rounders at 220 and 228.
- 1:18:12[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_00]: Let's look at the positions that we need.
- 1:18:16[SPEAKER_00]: We have wider receiver.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_00]: Cardinal Tate has stated he would love to play with Josh Allen.
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_00]: And you have Jordan Tyson, Arizona State, who is more of a slot guy.
- 1:18:25[SPEAKER_00]: A kind of lemon from USC who I do like, but if I'm really quickly, he's also more of a slot guy.
- 1:18:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, slot receiver.
- 1:18:35[SPEAKER_00]: I actually drafted him in Madden.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's a dog.
- 1:18:38[SPEAKER_00]: We have Denzel Boston who I like, but 6409.
- 1:18:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if that weight is going to really compliment that that height, but good player outside extra receiver.
- 1:18:50[SPEAKER_00]: And he's estimated to run a 45 to 40.
- 1:18:52[SPEAKER_00]: So that's kind of a Gabe Davis type of guy.
- 1:18:55[SPEAKER_00]: Physicality wise.
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_00]: This guy is my guy right here.
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Bell, six foot two, two hundred twenty pounds.
- 1:19:02[SPEAKER_00]: Got kind of that all shot on Jeffrey.
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_00]: He's got that that that AJ Brown that that type of dog and them 72 catches nine hundred seventeen yards six touchdowns.
- 1:19:25[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, this guy right here is the guy that that I really like, I really really like Chris Bell.
- 1:19:35[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if we go to linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., is probably my guy.
- 1:19:42[SPEAKER_00]: I really like him.
- 1:19:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like if he's if it's been him in Chris Bell, I go with the water seaver.
- 1:19:46[SPEAKER_00]: because I think that the bills will target a linebacker in free agency, but if we don't, Anthony Hill Jr. dog got a Texas 230, 8 pounds, 6 foot 3, looking around a 4-5, and he's a multi-role linebacker, so he can play, you know, Mike or Jack, or not Jack, a Mike or Will.
- 1:20:06[SPEAKER_00]: I really do like that guy there, too.
- 1:20:08[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I believe it was Deonté Lawson from Bama, he 62228, the box linebacker, that guy I liked there too, and there was not a guy I'm feeling his name.
- 1:20:22[SPEAKER_00]: See if I can remember when I see it is a little later in draft, but nope, don't remember.
- 1:20:28[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and then the other one was safety.
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_00]: So you have Caleb Downs here, he's probably going to go pretty early in our range, Colton Hood from Tennessee, there's a corner.
- 1:20:42[SPEAKER_00]: So that's not really going to be what we're looking for.
- 1:20:43[SPEAKER_00]: But Camari Ramsey from USC, that's a guy I liked.
- 1:20:48[SPEAKER_00]: And Dylan Thineman, Manslot, Nickel Safety.
- 1:20:56[SPEAKER_00]: So that more of the Hancock kind of role, scroll down a little bit more,
- 1:21:05[SPEAKER_00]: Halsey, how you say zone slot and nickel safety.
- 1:21:09[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of those coming out here, more recently.
- 1:21:14[SPEAKER_00]: Zone box, strong safety, this guy right here is probably a guy who, I don't know, I don't know much about this guy at all, but the type of linebacker he is is probably we're looking for box safety to be a strong safety.
- 1:21:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be a little harder to navigate, but hey, you know what, we're going to go we're going to sit here and we're going to do our best.
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see.
- 1:21:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to see a good bowl, mix.
- 1:21:39[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see a like Malachi fields, I'm a Notre Dame fan, but if we drafted Xavier Watts last season, just saying, hey, I'm with you there.
- 1:21:47[SPEAKER_00]: I went to there.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_00]: Carnell may be gone before we pick.
- 1:21:49[SPEAKER_00]: He might be, yeah, for sure.
- 1:21:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see, you said, Carnell might be gone for red drafts.
- 1:22:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not seeing a car now, but, all right, so we're going to kick this bad boy off and start the draft, let's go.
- 1:22:16[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to pause it at 10.
- 1:22:22[SPEAKER_00]: All right, sneaks one more in.
- 1:22:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:22:24[SPEAKER_00]: So first of all, pick they got for for none of them in dosa and they'll surprise there.
- 1:22:27[SPEAKER_00]: They got to just taking a defensive end.
- 1:22:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm about that.
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_00]: Who's the QB's available?
- 1:22:33[SPEAKER_00]: Grant Garrett.
- 1:22:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's my or he might be too rich.
- 1:22:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:22:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're probably way to round two or three.
- 1:22:40[SPEAKER_00]: So they go defensive end.
- 1:22:41[SPEAKER_00]: Francis, Maui Goa, to the Cardinals.
- 1:22:49[SPEAKER_00]: They do need offensive line help for sure.
- 1:22:50[SPEAKER_00]: Keldrick Falk, Spencer Fano, Ty Simpson, QB, to the Browns.
- 1:22:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about that.
- 1:23:02[SPEAKER_00]: They would barely edge rusher to the commanders.
- 1:23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I can see that they kind of got of their defense.
- 1:23:09[SPEAKER_00]: Peter Woods from Clemson, Caleb Downs, safety Ohio State goes to the chiefs that be horrible for us.
- 1:23:18[SPEAKER_00]: Mason Thomas defensive edge rusher to the Bengals who are losing what's the space, handers and handrics in this year.
- 1:23:26[SPEAKER_00]: and then you have Caden Proctor, Obstacle Alabama, for the dolphins.
- 1:23:31[SPEAKER_00]: They do need Obstacle, they have not been good on their whole line.
- 1:23:35[SPEAKER_00]: Two is basically done because of that.
- 1:23:39[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's continue to draft.
- 1:23:47[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's not to then.
- 1:23:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:23:49[SPEAKER_00]: Now we look at a cash as how edge pressure there's a lot of edge pressures of front corner back Jeremy McCoy to the Rams, Carnell Tate, Wider C, which are the Ravens, they do need receiver help.
- 1:24:01[SPEAKER_00]: TJ Parker defensive end to the bucks, McCoy lemon to the jets.
- 1:24:08[SPEAKER_00]: Him and freaking Garrett Wilson together will be terrifying, but they need
- 1:24:16[SPEAKER_00]: Monsoon delaying corner back to the Lions, Jeremiah loved running back to the Vikings, the other due to running back.
- 1:24:27[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Tyson, why don't you see her as on the state?
- 1:24:30[SPEAKER_00]: To the Panthers, okay.
- 1:24:33[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to go all the way to our bills pick.
- 1:24:38[SPEAKER_00]: And we're being offered a trade.
- 1:24:41[SPEAKER_00]: We're not doing that.
- 1:24:44[SPEAKER_00]: and we're not doing that either, reject all by.
- 1:24:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so on the board still, our very least linebacker Ohio State, which is a dog, by the way, six foot four, 243 pounds.
- 1:24:57[SPEAKER_00]: If we don't have a linebacker in free agency, this guy right here, would be an absolute monster for the Buffalo Bills.
- 1:25:04[SPEAKER_00]: No doubt about it.
- 1:25:05[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 1:25:11[SPEAKER_00]: I like Malica, okay, I already read that one.
- 1:25:16[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so there's more of normal comments really going on here.
- 1:25:18[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 1:25:21[SPEAKER_00]: I really like our velvies.
- 1:25:25[SPEAKER_00]: Really, really like him.
- 1:25:29[SPEAKER_00]: Really like Chris Bell too.
- 1:25:38[SPEAKER_00]: Man, there are some dogs on the board here, still.
- 1:25:40[SPEAKER_00]: Can you see the deep, tight-in from Oregon?
- 1:25:43[SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to tighten the Kaden McDonald defensive Lyme and Ohio State of the Dog.
- 1:25:53[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Bell sticks out to me and Arvel Rees.
- 1:26:00[SPEAKER_00]: What do you guys say?
- 1:26:01[SPEAKER_00]: You guys think I should go with the receiver or the Lymebacker?
- 1:26:06[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see what's left at receiver.
- 1:26:09[SPEAKER_00]: Casey Conception, Elijah Sarat, who I like, but he's too slow.
- 1:26:12[SPEAKER_00]: You remember, Nard, Antonio Williams, your Kobe Lane, Malachi Fields, Malachi Fields.
- 1:26:21[SPEAKER_00]: I really like him.
- 1:26:23[SPEAKER_00]: Outside X-Receiver.
- 1:26:23[SPEAKER_00]: All right, well, because we have not seen free agency yet, I am going to take the best player available at a position of need, part of El Risse, boom, you are a Buffalo Bill.
- 1:26:37[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 1:26:41[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go!
- 1:26:42[SPEAKER_00]: And of course Bell is gone, but that's fine, because I got my second choice, which is
- 1:27:08[SPEAKER_00]: 6 foot 4 to 18 big boy receiver like I wanted outside extra receiver looks around 425 he did go to the senior bowl looks pretty good there got great hands so this is this will be who I'm drafting Malacac fields so I've seen you could be laying before to hopefully laying outside extra receiver but he's not he doesn't have the weight
- 1:27:31[SPEAKER_00]: buying them, right?
- 1:27:32[SPEAKER_00]: They're not enough ass, so to speak.
- 1:27:35[SPEAKER_00]: Antonio Williams from Clemson does intrigue me, but he's only 511-90, and he's a slot guy.
- 1:27:40[SPEAKER_00]: We have Kulishikir.
- 1:27:41[SPEAKER_00]: And we have potentially a big slot in Keyon Coleman, which he may see that more.
- 1:27:44[SPEAKER_00]: So my Alcatheil feels is the obvious choice.
- 1:27:47[SPEAKER_00]: We look at the whole board and see houses there.
- 1:27:50[SPEAKER_00]: Come on, he Ramsey, safety out of USC, is there, sticks out like a sort of thumb to me.
- 1:27:55[SPEAKER_00]: But we don't pick against the 91.
- 1:27:57[SPEAKER_00]: And I believe that wider receiver is the more
- 1:27:59[SPEAKER_00]: pressing need, excuse me.
- 1:28:02[SPEAKER_00]: So, my cat feels, welcome to the bills.
- 1:28:12[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see.
- 1:28:25[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we are almost to our pick.
- 1:28:29[SPEAKER_00]: uh... picked note i'm not imagining anything from next year no thanks but no thanks and this is at my mojo see so safety AJ Halsy LSU six profile i think and i was really looking already zoned slot no
- 1:29:00[SPEAKER_00]: See, uh, center, we might need a center.
- 1:29:04[SPEAKER_00]: We might not.
- 1:29:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what they think of, center of Grand Grand Granger.
- 1:29:07[SPEAKER_00]: I do not see it as a need.
- 1:29:10[SPEAKER_00]: But I do see defensive back as a need safety space safety specifically.
- 1:29:17[SPEAKER_00]: And Bishop Fitzgerald, Manslop, no, Jalen Kilgour
- 1:29:29[SPEAKER_00]: I do like him.
- 1:29:30[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen him play being the living, but he's a man's own free safety.
- 1:29:37[SPEAKER_00]: That would be in Kolbyship Coast in the box, which I think Kolbyship can go into the box.
- 1:29:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that he's really good blitz or so.
- 1:29:42[SPEAKER_00]: This guy could work.
- 1:29:45[SPEAKER_00]: Our next pick is at 126.
- 1:29:47[SPEAKER_00]: So Kilgors probably not there.
- 1:29:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's a lot of other guys who are still here at this spot.
- 1:30:01[SPEAKER_00]: But that'd be overdrafting any of these guys here.
- 1:30:04[SPEAKER_00]: Also, we could use a defensive lineman, Caden Curry, I'd like him out of Ohio State, Ohio State, they just produced B's on a defensive side of the ball.
- 1:30:14[SPEAKER_00]: 6, we choose 60 though.
- 1:30:16[SPEAKER_00]: So he's undersized for us as Russia.
- 1:30:21[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, defensive tackle, Texas Tech, Gil Howard, Texas Tech was really good this year.
- 1:30:25[SPEAKER_00]: They were really good this year.
- 1:30:34[SPEAKER_00]: Not a lot of production out of this kid.
- 1:30:40[SPEAKER_01]: Man.
- 1:30:44[SPEAKER_01]: Rock and a hard place.
- 1:30:48[SPEAKER_00]: Nickel safety.
- 1:30:51[SPEAKER_00]: So he'd be in the box more.
- 1:30:52[SPEAKER_00]: The talent level is just way too high to pass up here.
- 1:30:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'm gonna take him.
- 1:30:58[SPEAKER_00]: AJ Halsey, LSU, boom, you're a Buffalo Bill.
- 1:31:10[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of live viewers on X or a crap.
- 1:31:19[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see, let's see.
- 1:31:20[SPEAKER_01]: 126 is our next pick.
- 1:31:28[SPEAKER_00]: So the bills do need a backup quarterback.
- 1:31:31[SPEAKER_00]: Could draft a Trinidad Chambleist to coach up and use potentially as a trade target later.
- 1:31:35[SPEAKER_00]: Also, could use some help at corner, since today's white is no longer going to contract.
- 1:31:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see, if I go to spot track here, and I fell, Buffalo Bills, position,
- 1:31:59[SPEAKER_00]: Corners on the team, Terran Johnson, Christian Benford, Max Hirsten, Jordan Hancock, Dorian Strong, Dakota Coach, MJ Devon Shire.
- 1:32:06[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot to be desired there.
- 1:32:07[SPEAKER_00]: It feels good to go fourth round of corner.
- 1:32:12[SPEAKER_00]: I could go quarterback to be the backup.
- 1:32:16[SPEAKER_00]: I do like Trinidad Chambers, and he does fit the Josh Allen Moll 6100 pounds, not the height and height weight mold for sure, but the talent style play.
- 1:32:26[SPEAKER_00]: He does fit that the man, Moll Pocket Passer.
- 1:32:41[SPEAKER_00]: We wouldn't need this so much if freaking Dorian Strong hadn't gotten hurt.
- 1:32:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I really hope his is health recovers.
- 1:32:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to take the corner maybe.
- 1:32:50[SPEAKER_00]: There's another safety here.
- 1:32:53[SPEAKER_00]: Let's save these are on our roster right now.
- 1:33:02[SPEAKER_00]: To the lab cool Bishop one day or one day owns and Dental Porter.
- 1:33:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, we can use the state.
- 1:33:07[SPEAKER_00]: We can use more than one safety in his draft.
- 1:33:13[SPEAKER_00]: See, Maddoz is the 11-mobile item I am assignable.
- 1:33:16[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 1:33:16[SPEAKER_00]: See, if you tell me we're getting Eric Singleton in free agency, I'm going conception on her fields.
- 1:33:22[SPEAKER_00]: If not, Rhys makes the most sense.
- 1:33:25[SPEAKER_00]: Need to get Leonard his QB.
- 1:33:28[SPEAKER_00]: Rhys.
- 1:33:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I did take our real Rhys in the first round.
- 1:33:34[SPEAKER_00]: Because he was just a best player available.
- 1:33:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I saw receivers like I get and I did take Malachi fields in the second round.
- 1:33:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then AJ Halsey, safety in round three, now we're around four.
- 1:33:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm looking and I'm seeing some some good players here.
- 1:33:51[SPEAKER_00]: See you Daniels, why don't you remind me?
- 1:33:52[SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen him.
- 1:33:54[SPEAKER_00]: Another outside receiver.
- 1:33:56[SPEAKER_00]: Looks like he's going to run a four, four, four, six, but two, two, five.
- 1:33:58[SPEAKER_00]: So it's the height weight size.
- 1:34:04[SPEAKER_00]: If we drafted fields and then we picked up Brennan cooks again or another receiver free agency, I'd be comfortable with our why receiver room, but Nobody's always better Eric Rivers from Georgia Tech.
- 1:34:21[SPEAKER_00]: 51180 outside X receiver.
- 1:34:26[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 1:34:26[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 1:34:27[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 1:34:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go with the corner back.
- 1:34:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's a kind of mess is out of California.
- 1:34:33[SPEAKER_00]: Boom.
- 1:34:35[SPEAKER_00]: corner, ooh, Drew Aller, he might be the nope, he's gone, the mind of Jackson corner from Alabama, he's gone too, that's cool, he's drafted a corner, let's see, we're on the
- 1:35:08[SPEAKER_00]: Germain Matthews, Cornerback Ohio State.
- 1:35:12[SPEAKER_00]: I could take two corners in this draft outside zone corner, four, three, eight speed, numbers, two interceptions, 28 interception yards, pass it defended two, 26 tackles.
- 1:35:27[SPEAKER_00]: I might explain why he's so far down the board.
- 1:35:30[SPEAKER_00]: But we're in this round, so it is what it is.
- 1:35:33[SPEAKER_00]: We could also use more safety help.
- 1:35:37[SPEAKER_00]: No one pa can't say his name, but Actually, no one pa.
- 1:35:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's I think that's right.
- 1:35:44[SPEAKER_00]: I Got to find out what that name's from I wonder section 28 He is a zone slot nickel safety 439 speed Man He's 22 years old
- 1:36:11[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, tail and green quarterback from Arkansas, six with six to 29.
- 1:36:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's the Josh Allen mode right there.
- 1:36:22[SPEAKER_00]: Keep it ready, 92.8, 2,714 yards, 19 touchdowns, 11 receptions, dual-threat
- 1:36:36[SPEAKER_00]: thing, it's a perfect place to take a backup quarterback for Josh Allen, like we did, Jake from a few years back, that didn't work out obviously, but boom, taking a QB, an SEC QB.
- 1:36:51[SPEAKER_00]: Just up here, numbers are already drafted one.
- 1:36:54[SPEAKER_00]: I picked up, has a
- 1:36:59[SPEAKER_00]: easy we got to see the scheme our defense going to be it's going to be a three four multiple multiple three four scheme as what Jim Leonard runs he ran that at a as a bill when he was the safety under a wreck Ryan and he learned under a wreck Ryan and then he took that same scheme and went to Wisconsin with it in five out of six years dog this the big ten with that scheme
- 1:37:29[SPEAKER_00]: Do what you want to do with them, picks, hiking Williams.
- 1:37:32[SPEAKER_00]: I heard this name before, oh, Colorado.
- 1:37:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's probably why, because with Coach Prime, six with two, two, twenty outside, extra seaver, four, three, two speed, and we're probably going to need more than one receiver in his draft class.
- 1:37:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, taking the second shot at receiver, hiking Williams, boom, give Josh Allen a threat, deep down the field.
- 1:37:53[SPEAKER_00]: Hell yeah, and our last pick of the draft,
- 1:38:00[SPEAKER_00]: We could use another safety.
- 1:38:01[SPEAKER_00]: We could use another corner.
- 1:38:08[SPEAKER_00]: Safety.
- 1:38:09[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a lot nickel safety.
- 1:38:15[SPEAKER_00]: To Kobe Johnson from Oklahoma.
- 1:38:19[SPEAKER_00]: Looks like his.
- 1:38:22[SPEAKER_00]: Past game coordinator is going to be here in Buffalo.
- 1:38:25[SPEAKER_00]: Outside zone corner for five to speed.
- 1:38:33[SPEAKER_01]: man.
- 1:38:37[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, let's see.
- 1:38:38[SPEAKER_00]: We also will need an interior lineman.
- 1:38:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 1:38:45[SPEAKER_00]: And the bills, for some reason, the bills love to draft offensive lineman later in the draft, just off your numbers
- 1:39:06[SPEAKER_00]: Game performance, weighted rating, run blocking is good, past blocking is not so great.
- 1:39:21[SPEAKER_00]: Can you be coached?
- 1:39:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's the question.
- 1:39:38[SPEAKER_00]: offensive tackle, and we've got tackles, so I'm good there.
- 1:39:43[SPEAKER_00]: Ethan O'Connor, outside zone corner, four or five speed.
- 1:39:49[SPEAKER_00]: You can see Miami.
- 1:39:53[SPEAKER_00]: Looks like he's more of a reserve player.
- 1:39:56[SPEAKER_00]: Passorating or he'll be reading aloud when targeted 72.5.
- 1:40:00[SPEAKER_00]: Sign me the hell up.
- 1:40:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's by guy.
- 1:40:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's the bill's last pick, right there.
- 1:40:04[SPEAKER_00]: Got two corners in the straf class, got two receivers, got a safety, got a linebacker, and got a back of quarterback.
- 1:40:14[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 1:40:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I see what you're saying.
- 1:40:19[SPEAKER_00]: I've been in the fan for 40 plus years and I'm from Alabama.
- 1:40:23[SPEAKER_00]: I get it, man.
- 1:40:27[SPEAKER_00]: I get that one hundred percent, you know, the Buffalo Bills are a team that generally speaking, doesn't do a lot of changing when it comes to schematics like that, but here recently with that coaches we've gone from one to the next, we've been mostly at four three, but we have also ran three four quite a bit.
- 1:40:47[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, my size back on and boom, we'll be back over.
- 1:40:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's been fun.
- 1:40:58[SPEAKER_00]: I hope my little QR code backup.
- 1:41:01[SPEAKER_00]: You guys can check out the Buffalo Bills, our built-in Buffalo Pan store.
- 1:41:07[SPEAKER_00]: We sell sweaters and shirts and all kind of stuff there.
- 1:41:10[SPEAKER_00]: Check it out with that nice beautiful built-in Buffalo logo.
- 1:41:14[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, to the beginning, not the end.
- 1:41:19[SPEAKER_00]: As always, love all you guys for being here with me.
- 1:41:23[SPEAKER_00]: Do good, be good, God bless, and go Bills.
