- 0:25Speaker 1: Hi, and welcome back to Pinky Boo Hauntings. I'll be
- 0:29Speaker 1: your witchy host Shy, and I'll be your guide to
- 0:32Speaker 1: all things paranormal, weird and spooky. So today is actually
- 0:39Speaker 1: my thirteenth Reddit Story episode. I know that probably means
- 0:44Speaker 1: nothing to you, guys, but thirteen has always been a
- 0:48Speaker 1: lucky number for me, So I'm just happy we've made
- 0:51Speaker 1: it to this episode. And now I'm not expecting anything
- 0:56Speaker 1: much from the episode itself. Oh it's my lucky number.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Not crazy enough to assume that this one will blow up.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I'd love for that to happen, but I'm realistic at
- 1:07Speaker 1: the end of the day that virgo of me does
- 1:11Speaker 1: try to keep me grounded, at least most of the time.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Oh but with that rambling out of the way, can
- 1:20Speaker 1: you guys give me a little more space to gush
- 1:23Speaker 1: about something else before we begin. I know I'm going
- 1:26Speaker 1: from one ramble to the other, but I got adhd.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Y'all better get ready to keep up with my topic
- 1:33Speaker 1: bouncing from time to time. But with all of that,
- 1:37Speaker 1: I wanted to talk about how much I love the craft.
- 1:41Speaker 1: As you may or may not know, I'm a baby witch,
- 1:46Speaker 1: so I'm still learning and whatever. But I feel like
- 1:50Speaker 1: even if you've been doing this for years, sometimes you
- 1:53Speaker 1: just got to admire the magic around you, Like how
- 1:57Speaker 1: I've been talking and admiring the moon again. I've always
- 2:01Speaker 1: loved the moon, but I've kind of got out of
- 2:04Speaker 1: talking to her and just being in OLLIVERR. But lately
- 2:08Speaker 1: I started admiring her again, So tell me why. After
- 2:14Speaker 1: doing that, my time of the month gets SYNCD back
- 2:18Speaker 1: up with the full moon. I didn't think anything of
- 2:21Speaker 1: it at first, mostly because I was just mad it
- 2:23Speaker 1: came back after I just got off of it a
- 2:26Speaker 1: week before. But out of nowhere, I got what some
- 2:31Speaker 1: might call a download that kind of was like someone
- 2:35Speaker 1: was telling me it was because I started talking to
- 2:38Speaker 1: the moon again, and one of my witchy friends said
- 2:41Speaker 1: the moon was claiming me, which I feel like that
- 2:45Speaker 1: happened a long time ago, but maybe the moon was
- 2:48Speaker 1: reminding me of it. Also, the other day, I didn't
- 2:53Speaker 1: realize we didn't have any money, and I thought I
- 2:56Speaker 1: was going to be screwed as far as lunch went.
- 2:59Speaker 1: So to say the least, I was kind of annoyed
- 3:02Speaker 1: at myself for not fixing lunch the night before and
- 3:07Speaker 1: thought I was going to starve all day. What I
- 3:11Speaker 1: completely forgot about was a money spell I did way back.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I went from thinking I wasn't going to eat to
- 3:20Speaker 1: having enough from tips to get some food. Tips aren't
- 3:24Speaker 1: always a given at my job, and you can go
- 3:26Speaker 1: the whole day without getting any. So for me to
- 3:29Speaker 1: get enough to eat made me so happy. It wasn't
- 3:33Speaker 1: until afterwards I thought about it and realized it was
- 3:36Speaker 1: probably helping me out. I love magic, all right. Enough
- 3:42Speaker 1: of all that, let's finally get onto the stories. Our
- 3:47Speaker 1: first story is called her Grunting in my ear in
- 3:51Speaker 1: an old basement and never found an explanation. About twenty
- 3:56Speaker 1: years ago, I had an experience that's still dicks with me,
- 4:01Speaker 1: and I've never really known what to make of it.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I was in the basement of an old house that
- 4:08Speaker 1: was close to one hundred years at the time. I
- 4:11Speaker 1: was down there alone looking for Christmas decorations. The basement
- 4:16Speaker 1: had that typical old house feel, low ceilings, unfinished areas,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and not much like. While I was digging through boxes,
- 4:27Speaker 1: I suddenly heard a deep grunting sound right next to
- 4:31Speaker 1: my ear. It was close, like someone was standing right
- 4:35Speaker 1: behind me. Ew no, thank you. I would have been
- 4:39Speaker 1: out of that basement so fast I wouldn't care what
- 4:41Speaker 1: it was. I froze. I'm not surprised. There was no
- 4:48Speaker 1: one else in the house, and when I turned around,
- 4:52Speaker 1: nothing was there. There never fucking is I swear the
- 4:57Speaker 1: sound didn't repeat, but the filling of someone being right
- 5:01Speaker 1: there was intense. I got out of the basement as
- 5:05Speaker 1: fast as I could and didn't go back down alone
- 5:07Speaker 1: for a long time. I ever played it in my
- 5:11Speaker 1: head for years, trying to figure out if it was
- 5:15Speaker 1: something explainable or something else entirely. Has anyone experienced something
- 5:22Speaker 1: similar in an old house or basement? Curious what others
- 5:27Speaker 1: think it could have been. Well, it was most likely
- 5:32Speaker 1: a spirit. Maybe they didn't like you being in their house,
- 5:36Speaker 1: or maybe they were just messing with you, like having
- 5:40Speaker 1: fun with you by scaring you with a house that old.
- 5:45Speaker 1: It could have been anyone, but they definitely wanted to
- 5:48Speaker 1: get your attention for some reason. I know it scared you,
- 5:52Speaker 1: But the good news it most likely was just a
- 5:57Speaker 1: spirit and nothing bad. At least that's what it sounds like,
- 6:03Speaker 1: And hopefully it was just a spirit messing with you
- 6:06Speaker 1: and nothing being a perv. I'm not the only one
- 6:10Speaker 1: that kind of had that thought, right, Please say you
- 6:14Speaker 1: thought it too. Don't leave me here by myself in
- 6:17Speaker 1: my middle school humor. Please, but let's move on from
- 6:24Speaker 1: this grunting ghost and my cooks sense of humor, and
- 6:28Speaker 1: instead let's check out someone that believes they had a
- 6:32Speaker 1: second shadow. The story is called My Second Shadow. So
- 6:38Speaker 1: four years ago I had a second shadow. I was
- 6:42Speaker 1: about four months into a new relationship and we've been
- 6:46Speaker 1: out for our trip to an old estate in South Yorkshire.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I loved how they had to put England in parentheses.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I don't know too many people that doesn't know that
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yorkshire is in England at this point. Huh, maybe I'm wrong?
- 7:01Speaker 1: Who knows. Walking around the grounds, we came across a
- 7:07Speaker 1: pet cemetery. I crouched and touched one of the stones
- 7:11Speaker 1: and felt a sort of hum, Oh my god, is
- 7:15Speaker 1: this going where I think it is? If it is,
- 7:18Speaker 1: it's way cuter than what I thought was going to
- 7:20Speaker 1: happen at first. About a week after, I kept getting
- 7:25Speaker 1: the feeling of being followed, which would happen whether I
- 7:29Speaker 1: was at home, at my partners or at work. I'd
- 7:33Speaker 1: be carrying plates of good to tables and feel as
- 7:36Speaker 1: though someone was following behind, matching my pace. I'm sorry,
- 7:42Speaker 1: what is good to tables? Is that a British thing?
- 7:45Speaker 1: I don't understand or maybe just misworded, or am I
- 7:50Speaker 1: just stupid? Can someone please tell me? And no, please
- 7:54Speaker 1: don't say it's a stupid one. I'm kind of aware
- 7:57Speaker 1: of that one. After a two weeks it intensified. I
- 8:03Speaker 1: was cleaning the bottom drawer of the ice cream freezer
- 8:07Speaker 1: and in the corner of my eye I saw a
- 8:10Speaker 1: pair of black legs walking my way at quite a
- 8:14Speaker 1: hasty pace. Never Mind, I was thinking the second shadow
- 8:19Speaker 1: was going to be something cute, like a dog or
- 8:21Speaker 1: a cat that became attached to you, and they were
- 8:24Speaker 1: going to be just a sweet little baby protector. When
- 8:30Speaker 1: I looked directly at it, nothing there. Initially thought it
- 8:35Speaker 1: was another member of the bar team, until seeing no
- 8:38Speaker 1: one was there. Then it was becoming more visible. Corner
- 8:44Speaker 1: of my eye, I could see this humanoid figure approximately
- 8:49Speaker 1: five foot nine inches tall in stocky build. Did I
- 8:55Speaker 1: did I do? What I think I did? No defining features,
- 8:59Speaker 1: but a free standing shadow peeping around corners. I could
- 9:03Speaker 1: see it in the mirrors, but if I was to
- 9:06Speaker 1: directly look at it, it would vanish from sight. Oh
- 9:11Speaker 1: thank god I didn't. I thought they were about to
- 9:14Speaker 1: describe the hat man almost constantly following me. It never
- 9:20Speaker 1: felt harmful, but would make me jump. I started to
- 9:24Speaker 1: get anxious opening the bathroom door at night because I
- 9:28Speaker 1: was scared that it would be standing there, even checking
- 9:32Speaker 1: my rear view mirror to see if it was on
- 9:35Speaker 1: the back seat. I didn't tell anyone about it for weeks.
- 9:42Speaker 1: One of my managers noticed I was a bit jumpy
- 9:45Speaker 1: when helping close the pup. I told her whilst loading
- 9:49Speaker 1: the glass washer and and I saw it run around
- 9:52Speaker 1: the corner at me with hands stretched out. So after
- 9:56Speaker 1: about eight weeks of this, I asked my mom to
- 9:59Speaker 1: do my Harrow cards, believing this shadow had followed me
- 10:03Speaker 1: from the estate I visited. I mean, where else would
- 10:06Speaker 1: you have picked it up? It crazy if that one
- 10:09Speaker 1: gravestone in that pet cemetery wasn't actually an animal. Also,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I love that your mom does haro. By the way,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I told her nothing. All I asked was that she
- 10:23Speaker 1: read the cards. She sat there looking at them seemingly puzzled,
- 10:29Speaker 1: then locked her eyes with mine and calmly said, what's
- 10:34Speaker 1: been following you in the corner of my eye. It
- 10:37Speaker 1: approached in the kitchen. Its featureless face dared hard at me.
- 10:43Speaker 1: The air started to hum, its outline shuddering violently, and
- 10:49Speaker 1: my blood ran cold as it had been recognized by
- 10:53Speaker 1: someone other than myself. My mom repeated the question. I
- 11:01Speaker 1: told her about the estate I visited, the grave I touched,
- 11:05Speaker 1: and how about two months this shadow has been following me,
- 11:09Speaker 1: I asked her, as something attached itself from there. Her
- 11:14Speaker 1: answer scared me more as she said, no, it's your partner.
- 11:21Speaker 1: The cards are saying their trauma is holding on to you.
- 11:26Speaker 1: What she didn't know was they used to suffer night
- 11:30Speaker 1: tares and sleepwalking, talking and crying in their sleep. Well, shit,
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm bad at this to day, aren't, I shouting out
- 11:43Speaker 1: in their first language, which I didn't speak at the time.
- 11:48Speaker 1: With that, the figure just vanished gone. I described its shape,
- 11:54Speaker 1: and my mom noted that it matched the size of
- 11:56Speaker 1: my partner. The following week, when I saw my partner,
- 12:02Speaker 1: I asked them to explain about the night tares, as
- 12:05Speaker 1: it was almost every night and we never spoke about it. Slowly,
- 12:12Speaker 1: they began to tell me about their past and what happened.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Few weeks of these deep chats and the night tars
- 12:21Speaker 1: and all of it stopped, and I haven't experienced a
- 12:27Speaker 1: shadow since the day with the taro and my mom.
- 12:31Speaker 1: It was a very bizarre experience, and I thought it
- 12:35Speaker 1: was going mad until that moment when she asked if
- 12:39Speaker 1: I was being followed. What I never expected was whatever
- 12:45Speaker 1: began to follow me was not from the old estate,
- 12:49Speaker 1: but from someone's trauma. Being so dark and unspoken, it
- 12:52Speaker 1: could latch onto me. Coming up on five years together,
- 12:57Speaker 1: and they've never been so healed and open about their past,
- 13:03Speaker 1: we worked through a lot together. Weirdly, I think my
- 13:07Speaker 1: second shadow was a positive sign despite its origins. I'm
- 13:11Speaker 1: happy everything worked out in the end, but I'm confused
- 13:15Speaker 1: about one thing. Why did it only start following you
- 13:19Speaker 1: around after visiting that estate. I mean, clearly it disappeared
- 13:24Speaker 1: after your partner worked on their past, but it's just
- 13:27Speaker 1: strange that it didn't happen sooner. Though, now that I'm
- 13:35Speaker 1: thinking about it, I guess maybe it was just a coincidence,
- 13:38Speaker 1: and maybe the trauma finally just built up enough where
- 13:43Speaker 1: all of this could have happened. It's still the crazy
- 13:46Speaker 1: coincidence all right, just one more story to go for
- 13:52Speaker 1: this episode. Are you ready? Guys? This one is called
- 13:58Speaker 1: I don't know what that was, but I want to
- 14:00Speaker 1: know if you also experience something like this. I'm a
- 14:07Speaker 1: master's student pursuing an NBA, and I live alone in
- 14:12Speaker 1: a three room house. I've been living here since my bachelor's.
- 14:19Speaker 1: That's so awesome that not only do you already have
- 14:22Speaker 1: your bachelor's and are now moving on to an NBA.
- 14:26Speaker 1: That really is badass. I'm saying all this like they'll
- 14:31Speaker 1: ever hear. It still awesome, nonetheless, and I've never experienced
- 14:37Speaker 1: anything negative in the house. I'm a very strong person
- 14:41Speaker 1: in this situation because I don't get scared easily. I
- 14:47Speaker 1: have friends from different courses as well. There are four
- 14:52Speaker 1: to five holidays approaching, so I decided to go home.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I went straight home, but my friends from Mfarm and
- 15:01Speaker 1: Environmental Science went to a state government's disaster management camp.
- 15:08Speaker 1: They invited me to come, but I decline because I
- 15:12Speaker 1: just wanted to co halt. Dude, I don't blame you,
- 15:15Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. I assume that is important and
- 15:19Speaker 1: probably interesting to you all, but to me that sounds
- 15:23Speaker 1: boring as hell. I also went to art school. I
- 15:28Speaker 1: was that weird person doing weird shit like doing pencil
- 15:32Speaker 1: impressions at the bottom of my boots for a class project,
- 15:36Speaker 1: so clearly I'm not the target audience. The camp was
- 15:44Speaker 1: organized by the government and police and lasted seven days,
- 15:49Speaker 1: so I went to college before my friends who went
- 15:52Speaker 1: to that camp. A day before returning to university, my
- 15:57Speaker 1: friend from M Farm called me and said, there's some
- 16:01Speaker 1: real scary shit going on. He'll tell me tomorrow when
- 16:05Speaker 1: we meet. Sounds like to me, you made the right
- 16:08Speaker 1: call not going. A day after, they all came straight
- 16:14Speaker 1: to my house and told me that there were twenty
- 16:18Speaker 1: boys in that camp but only nineteen blankets. Time to
- 16:23Speaker 1: fight to the death for a blanket, right Their supervisor,
- 16:27Speaker 1: an officer, told them to manage. Then one guy decided
- 16:34Speaker 1: to sleep on the bed without a blanket and suddenly
- 16:37Speaker 1: started feeling itchy. He was not able to sleep there,
- 16:42Speaker 1: so someone else tried to sleep there, but he fell too.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Then there was a training spot where it really got
- 16:51Speaker 1: messed up. I mean, this sounds pretty messed up already,
- 16:56Speaker 1: how could it possibly get worse? At that spot, my
- 17:03Speaker 1: friend from M Farm broke his right leg due to
- 17:08Speaker 1: a muscle tear, and the very next day a girl
- 17:12Speaker 1: fell in the same way and broke her leg too,
- 17:16Speaker 1: just like my friend. I'm sorry, is the government doing
- 17:21Speaker 1: experiments on them? Do they know they were doing that,
- 17:26Speaker 1: because I wouldn't be surprised, But it's still fucked up. Then,
- 17:31Speaker 1: at the last day, one of the organizers told them
- 17:35Speaker 1: that someone died in that bed, and sometimes, including the officer,
- 17:41Speaker 1: people hear a man yelling, don't sleep in my place again.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry what they're fucking with them? Right in the
- 17:52Speaker 1: place where my friend and that girl broke their leg,
- 17:55Speaker 1: a labor killed another labour's children because of their personal fight.
- 18:01Speaker 1: They came straight to my place and told me everything.
- 18:05Speaker 1: We were drinking and joking at the time, but we
- 18:08Speaker 1: were all serious. The next day, I woke up around
- 18:14Speaker 1: eight thirty or nine am and was using my phone
- 18:19Speaker 1: scrolling through reels and was wide awake. I went to
- 18:24Speaker 1: the washroom and then to the roof to check the
- 18:27Speaker 1: water tank, and I'm telling you, I was wide awake.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I put my phone on charging, and I was not
- 18:37Speaker 1: sleeping because all of the noises from outside were grabbing
- 18:41Speaker 1: my attention. I clearly remember there were two men carrying
- 18:47Speaker 1: bricks right outside of my house. I covered my whole
- 18:51Speaker 1: body with a blanket, and I was not sleeping, just
- 18:55Speaker 1: lagging and waiting to get up, and all of a sudden,
- 19:00Speaker 1: I feel someone is walking up to me. It was
- 19:04Speaker 1: so real. I was awake for at least one to
- 19:09Speaker 1: one and a half hours, and that was clear that
- 19:13Speaker 1: someone is walking towards me. But I was so scared
- 19:18Speaker 1: because I knew I locked the door and no one
- 19:22Speaker 1: can enter in this house. And I felt a little
- 19:26Speaker 1: kid laying on my stomach, and it felt so real,
- 19:31Speaker 1: so fucking real, that the blanket also got pressed down
- 19:35Speaker 1: onto me. I got so scared. I just ran outside
- 19:40Speaker 1: and went to the roof, and I called my friends
- 19:44Speaker 1: and told him about it. They said, maybe it's just
- 19:48Speaker 1: I'm thinking a lot. Every single one of us fell
- 19:52Speaker 1: sick after that. I don't know how, but that was
- 19:57Speaker 1: really scary for me. I can't tell you how real
- 20:02Speaker 1: it was, like I was able to see a blurry
- 20:06Speaker 1: shadow of that kid through the blanket. Sounds to me
- 20:10Speaker 1: like your friends might have brought something to your house
- 20:13Speaker 1: when they came to talk to you. I'm assuming it
- 20:17Speaker 1: only happened that once. So at least the spirit didn't stay.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Maybe it could sense you were really scared of them.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I can't tell you why the child would have come
- 20:28Speaker 1: to you like that. That's crazy. Also, am I the
- 20:33Speaker 1: only one that thinks that campus us? Maybe it's just me,
- 20:39Speaker 1: but you hardly ever hear of government employees or cops
- 20:44Speaker 1: so easily admitting to the paranormal like that. But I
- 20:49Speaker 1: don't know, what do you guys think? Well, that's all
- 20:54Speaker 1: I got for you today. Let me know what you
- 20:57Speaker 1: think about. These stories are just about the podcast as
