- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 0:02Speaker 1: day on this Thanksgiving week, and Junior, you had a
- 0:08Speaker 1: question for Steve. I think you wanted to finish what
- 0:10Speaker 1: you started this morning.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Yeah, this morning when we were talking about what is
- 0:13Speaker 2: God teaching you in this season of your life?
- 0:15Speaker 3: You know, right now, what are you're learning?
- 0:19Speaker 2: It's funny because it's the same thing he been trying
- 0:21Speaker 2: to teach me in every season of my life. It's
- 0:25Speaker 2: just been a hard lesson to learn.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I think.
- 0:31Speaker 2: It's been really coming. It's finally sinking in, you know
- 0:36Speaker 2: what I mean. And it's a dog gone shame though, man,
- 0:39Speaker 2: that it takes so long for some valuable information to
- 0:43Speaker 2: sink in. That's the thing about experience. The experience is priceless.
- 0:52Speaker 2: It's a shame you have to pay for it with
- 0:54Speaker 2: your youth.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Man.
- 0:57Speaker 2: If I could have just known this a long time ago.
- 0:59Speaker 2: And here's what he's teaching me. He's teaching me that
- 1:03Speaker 2: it's just him. It's just him that you are to
- 1:10Speaker 2: really just count on him.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You should trust some people, you should count on some people,
- 1:19Speaker 2: but none too much. And I've done that in my life.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I've counted on some people too much.
- 1:28Speaker 3: You know, man.
- 1:31Speaker 2: There's a poem in the poem that I memorized a
- 1:34Speaker 2: long time ago. It's a poem called if by Rudyard Kipling,
- 1:39Speaker 2: and it says if all men't count with you, but
- 1:43Speaker 2: none too much. That's a very telling line in that
- 1:47Speaker 2: poem because it's saying that you should be kind to people,
- 1:51Speaker 2: you should be considered of people, you should have relationships
- 1:56Speaker 2: with people, and they should count with you. Push it
- 2:00Speaker 2: count with you, but none too much. Don't put all
- 2:05Speaker 2: your faith in a person, man, because they're human beings,
- 2:09Speaker 2: and humans are subject to flaw.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I don't care who they are.
- 2:14Speaker 2: The single best human being I ever met in my
- 2:17Speaker 2: life was Ill loss Vie Harvey, my mama. But even
- 2:21Speaker 2: in that, my mother was human. My mother gave me
- 2:27Speaker 2: some bad advice one time, and I followed it because
- 2:31Speaker 2: she told me to. She didn't mean no harm. She
- 2:36Speaker 2: was just a human. But you know what I'm learning
- 2:40Speaker 2: in this season, it's just God.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Put all your faith in. Trust in God.
- 2:48Speaker 2: He is the one consistent factor in your life that
- 2:54Speaker 2: you can count all.
- 2:55Speaker 3: No matter what you've.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Gotten yourself in, you can actually go to Him with anything. Now, Okay,
- 3:02Speaker 2: I know you married to this person. You say you
- 3:04Speaker 2: could talk to them about anything. Ah, No, you can't.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Now you can't.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Oh you can't. Can't just take anything in there, now, careful.
- 3:13Speaker 2: You got to weigh it out because they gonna have
- 3:16Speaker 2: a different reaction than the one you can even imagine.
- 3:19Speaker 3: So you can't.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I know it's beautiful to say that I can talk
- 3:23Speaker 2: to my wife about anything, I can talk to my
- 3:24Speaker 2: husband about anything. No, you can't. You can't, especially if
- 3:30Speaker 2: you've made a mistake. You can't take every mistake you
- 3:33Speaker 2: make in that. But you could take it all to God.
- 3:36Speaker 2: You could take every last one of them to him,
- 3:40Speaker 2: place it at his feet. He saw you anyway, He
- 3:43Speaker 2: know your flaws. He loves you anyway, and he's going
- 3:46Speaker 2: to forgive you. Every person not gonna forgive you, man,
- 3:51Speaker 2: every person just not. That's what I'm learning. That is
- 3:55Speaker 2: really just God. It is really just God. And now
- 3:59Speaker 2: here's the second part to knowing it's just God.
- 4:02Speaker 3: You gotta trust completely in his timing.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Man asking God for something and believing and trusting any
- 4:11Speaker 2: but then waiting on it for his timing. Oh man,
- 4:14Speaker 2: that's that's Those are the two things I've been focusing
- 4:17Speaker 2: on most of late.
- 4:20Speaker 3: It's just God. Man.
- 4:23Speaker 2: God is the only one I can tell it all too.
- 4:26Speaker 2: I'm talking about all of it, the good, the bad,
- 4:30Speaker 2: the ugly.
- 4:32Speaker 3: You can tell it all to God. Now.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I've had some good partners, man, I've had some good
- 4:40Speaker 2: dudes in my life. Two of my best friends have passed,
- 4:45Speaker 2: and man, I could tell them cats, anything, anything, but
- 4:51Speaker 2: they wasn't God.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Though.
- 4:54Speaker 2: As good as dudes as they was, they wasn't God.
- 4:56Speaker 2: They ain't always have an answer. They was with me though.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Oh man, that's crazy, Steve. So what else happened though?
- 5:04Speaker 2: And then I tell him the rest of it?
- 5:06Speaker 3: God?
- 5:08Speaker 2: Hang in there, Man, hang in there. That what you got,
- 5:12Speaker 2: because that's all they have for me. Hey, hang in there, God.
- 5:16Speaker 2: When I go to God with something detrimental, God not
- 5:19Speaker 2: only gives me the strift of hang in.
- 5:22Speaker 3: There, he provides a solution.
- 5:26Speaker 2: And then He gives me what I need most grace
- 5:29Speaker 2: and mercy. Lord, have mercy so I can get them
- 5:33Speaker 2: go again. Y'all better, y'all better talk to God. You
- 5:36Speaker 2: better have a relationship with God.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Man, and quit playing with this thing.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Man.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Life is too short.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Sitting up in here man and trusting his time is
- 5:46Speaker 2: Steve Harvey, I got what you want. But man, was
- 5:52Speaker 2: something happened in my life, man, where this company didn't
- 5:55Speaker 2: do what they said they was gonna do, and they're
- 5:57Speaker 2: supposed to take this. I'm so happy it didn't work
- 5:59Speaker 2: out that way. Man, I was looking my man, they
- 6:03Speaker 2: didn't do what they said they were gonna do. A
- 6:04Speaker 2: month later I discovered, Man, I'm so glad they didn't
- 6:07Speaker 2: do that. God has covered me, man, through it all.
- 6:11Speaker 2: He's done the same thing for you. Quit looking at
- 6:13Speaker 2: everything that don't go down the way you want to,
- 6:16Speaker 2: and then get mad because it don't go down. You
- 6:17Speaker 2: ever figured out why it didn't go down? Do you
- 6:20Speaker 2: don't know how many times God has protected you from yourself,
- 6:24Speaker 2: from your ignorant decisions. Man, I'm all right now. I'm
- 6:30Speaker 2: alright now because I done gave it all to God.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I don't even worry it no more like I used to. Man. Here,
- 6:36Speaker 2: God God got it. I count on that. Y'all have
- 6:38Speaker 2: a conversation with God today, Okay. He would love to
- 6:41Speaker 2: hear from you, y'all. Stay in peace.
