Cardinals Lose Wetherholt to Wrist Injury | St. Louis Cardinals News
St. Louis Cardinals rookie infielder JJ Wetherholt is sidelined with tendinitis in his right wrist, forcing a roster shuffle as the team calls up Cesar Prieto from Triple-A Memphis to fill his spot. Wetherholt, batting .242 with 17 homers and 88 runs scored, has been a key offensive spark at the top of the lineup — his absence is a major blow. With tendinitis often tricky to manage, the Cardinals hope for a quick recovery, while fans watch to see if Prieto can step up and carry the load.
