- 0:00Speaker 1: The In This League Podcast Network.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is Dynasty Sports Life, a podcast about playing fantasy baseball, basketball, football.
- 0:11Speaker 1: And hockey 365 days a year. Here's your host, Jesse Sevier.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Welcome to the Dynasty Sports Life. Jesse Sevier here telling
- 0:22Speaker 1: you about the wonderful world of Dynasty Fantasy Sports. What
- 0:26Speaker 1: do we got going on, folks? We've got three seasons
- 0:29Speaker 1: in various stages of almost here. In fact, by the
- 0:32Speaker 1: time you listen to this, I bet you football could
- 0:34Speaker 1: be on. You could be watching it just maybe hours
- 0:38Speaker 1: away from each other. And in addition to that, basketball,
- 0:42Speaker 1: hockey are right around the corner. Hockey starts in September
- 0:45Speaker 1: this year. So now's the time. If you ever thought
- 0:48Speaker 1: about trying a hockey draft, just do it, man. Just
- 0:50Speaker 1: try it. man, lady, whoever's listening, play some hockey this year,
- 0:55Speaker 1: and then get yourself ready for some basketball in later October.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Baseball just wrapping up. I'm tense. I'm chewing my fingernails.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I don't chew fingernails, but if I were a fingernail-chewing man,
- 1:08Speaker 1: I'd be doing it for my finals going on this week.
- 1:10Speaker 1: That is all well and good, but football is the
- 1:13Speaker 1: topic today. My guy, CK, is back. He's back to
- 1:18Speaker 1: talk a little bit of NFL football right after this.
- 1:25Speaker 1: One of our best friends of the show, CK, is
- 1:28Speaker 1: back to talk some NFL football. How you doing today, CK?
- 1:32Speaker 2: I am doing great. I got to get used to
- 1:34Speaker 2: a new background for you. We've done quite a few
- 1:36Speaker 2: shows over the years, but new background, new Jesse Sevier here,
- 1:39Speaker 2: I feel like, and I'm just happy to come along
- 1:41Speaker 2: for the ride.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I was just a slacker. I didn't fix the background.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It's all good, man. We're still the same old show
- 1:47Speaker 1: around here. I think probably it pisses off Welsh because
- 1:50Speaker 1: I don't change it back when I'm done, and I
- 1:52Speaker 1: suspect when he logs in, then it's saying the other thing,
- 1:55Speaker 1: but Yeah. No, it's been a fun summer, but football
- 1:59Speaker 1: is back. And I got to admit, CK, I spend
- 2:02Speaker 1: the summer recording six episodes of NHL Draft plus 32
- 2:06Speaker 1: team previews for NHL Draft, doing episodes on the NBA Draft,
- 2:12Speaker 1: all those, you know, my rookie drafts and all those things,
- 2:15Speaker 1: and then playing baseball all summer. And football sneaks up
- 2:18Speaker 1: on me, dude. I was all, I was fired up
- 2:21Speaker 1: and ready to go in May with rookie drafts. And
- 2:23Speaker 1: now- It's September, and I've got to do real drafts
- 2:27Speaker 1: right now. I did one last weekend. Yeah. We're going
- 2:29Speaker 1: to get to talking about some of the good NFL
- 2:33Speaker 1: draft situations. Some of the guys today, CK and I
- 2:35Speaker 1: are going to talk about guys, I guess, that we're
- 2:38Speaker 1: kind of high on, maybe compared to consensus rankings. and
- 2:43Speaker 1: maybe make our cases. I don't have any negatives today, CK.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Sometimes it's like, oh, this guy's overrated. It's actually harder
- 2:50Speaker 1: when you sit down to talk about underrated guys than
- 2:53Speaker 1: to talk about overrated because you can't just bash on somebody.
- 2:56Speaker 1: But I don't know. Are you all ready for football?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Is it just me?
- 3:00Speaker 2: Oh, I am ready to see some actual NFL games.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Still not done with the fantasy drafts either. I think
- 3:07Speaker 2: I have, we're recording this on Friday before Labor Day,
- 3:09Speaker 2: I think I have two left before next Wednesday night's
- 3:12Speaker 2: opening kickoff game between the seahawks and the niners and
- 3:16Speaker 2: then i don't know what day whatever day the week
- 3:19Speaker 2: at game next week is that they get the australia
- 3:21Speaker 2: game in there that should be fun to see so
- 3:23Speaker 2: yeah i'm looking forward to some fun football that actually
- 3:25Speaker 2: counts here instead of watching a lot of i love
- 3:27Speaker 2: don't get me wrong i love the deep guys in
- 3:29Speaker 2: the league i like the nfl draft and that stuff
- 3:31Speaker 2: but i'm ready to see some actual starting football galloper
- 3:33Speaker 2: play out there too instead of preseason.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Yeah, you are such a college football guy. Your draft
- 3:39Speaker 1: ranks are outstanding. Every year, they're one of the sources
- 3:43Speaker 1: that I rely on to figure out who the heck
- 3:45Speaker 1: I want to draft in these rookie drafts. So I
- 3:47Speaker 1: know you're way into them. But yeah, seeing a little
- 3:49Speaker 1: bit of pro-level NFL, that'll be nice. That'll be nice.
- 3:52Speaker 1: We're going to get into some of these players that
- 3:54Speaker 1: we have today. I will give you the first player up,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and we'll kind of go back and forth and discuss
- 4:00Speaker 1: some of the ideas you got. But who's the first
- 4:02Speaker 1: guy you have on your mind today, CK?
- 4:05Speaker 2: So going off the consensus ranks, I think the biggest
- 4:08Speaker 2: differential that I have at quarterback is with Jackson Dart.
- 4:13Speaker 2: And I get the concerns with Jackson Dart. It is
- 4:16Speaker 2: the play style that certainly can lead to injury concerns.
- 4:19Speaker 2: But if I'm just, other than that, it's really hard
- 4:22Speaker 2: to pick a nit. And other than there is a
- 4:23Speaker 2: chance of injury, which I can really say that for anybody.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Now his play style might lead more into that. But
- 4:29Speaker 2: as far as I look at Jackson Dart's profile and
- 4:30Speaker 2: I say, is there really a difference between what Jackson
- 4:33Speaker 2: Dart could be and what Jalen Hurts has been, where
- 4:36Speaker 2: Jalen Hurts consistently top four to five quarterback usually in
- 4:40Speaker 2: the way we approach fantasy football. Officially, Dart played 14
- 4:44Speaker 2: games last season, but really it's 12. When you look
- 4:46Speaker 2: at it, it'll say 14, but he came in two
- 4:48Speaker 2: games early in the year. I think they were starting
- 4:50Speaker 2: Jameis at that point, or maybe it was even Russell Wilson,
- 4:53Speaker 2: and he was a designated rushing player. So he really
- 4:56Speaker 2: started and completed, actually didn't complete one because he got concussed,
- 4:58Speaker 2: but he started 12 games and played a substantial amount
- 5:01Speaker 2: of time in 12 games 2,272 passing yards, 15 touchdowns
- 5:05Speaker 2: to five interceptions passing. That's actually really good. I don't
- 5:08Speaker 2: think people appreciate how good of a passer he was.
- 5:10Speaker 2: That is one half of a game with Malik Neighbors, too.
- 5:13Speaker 2: The other receivers he was thrown into, so Malik Neighbors
- 5:16Speaker 2: played four games. He had Wandale Robinson. Wandale's good, right?
- 5:19Speaker 2: Now he's gone now, but Wandale was good. Other than that,
- 5:21Speaker 2: the only players on this team who had more targets
- 5:23Speaker 2: last year than Malik Neighbors were Theo Johnson, who has
- 5:26Speaker 2: since been replaced, Darius Layton, who has since been replaced,
- 5:29Speaker 2: I love Tyrone Tracy, but he's since been replaced. They
- 5:32Speaker 2: are all further down the Jets chart. Those were their
- 5:34Speaker 2: best receivers after Malik Nabors got hurt last year. Instead,
- 5:37Speaker 2: we should get Malik Nabors back, whether that's 100% week
- 5:40Speaker 2: one or not. I do feel confident he's going to play. Again,
- 5:43Speaker 2: he could get injured again, but he's going to be
- 5:44Speaker 2: back and better than some of the stuff he had
- 5:46Speaker 2: last year. They added Isaiah Likely, better tight end than
- 5:48Speaker 2: Theo Johnson, and they drafted Malachi Fields. Say what you want.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Malachi Fields had a touchdown in the preseason. Looked pretty
- 5:53Speaker 2: good out there. Sounds like he's going to start. And
- 5:56Speaker 2: so then that's his passing ability. Then it's the rushing
- 5:58Speaker 2: where the ups is the real exciting aspect when it
- 6:01Speaker 2: comes to Jackson Dart, right? 88 carries 487 yards and
- 6:05Speaker 2: nine touchdowns. There is inherent risk with injury, but with
- 6:07Speaker 2: the way he plays, if you told me you get
- 6:09Speaker 2: something like 3,800 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, 600 rushing yards,
- 6:14Speaker 2: and I'm going to say 15 rushing touchdowns is in
- 6:16Speaker 2: play for Jalen Hurts. And the reason I use that
- 6:18Speaker 2: number is that's essentially the season that Jalen Hurts had
- 6:21Speaker 2: in 2023 when he finished as the QB2. That's in
- 6:24Speaker 2: there for Jalen Hurts if he stays healthy and if
- 6:26Speaker 2: that's the only real knock you have on him as
- 6:29Speaker 2: deepest quarterback is, I'm willing to push up the upside
- 6:31Speaker 2: that Jackson dark showed.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Wow. I love that. I love that. Yeah. That, you know,
- 6:36Speaker 1: one of probably one of the themes of some of
- 6:38Speaker 1: the guys that I'm looking at here as well are
- 6:41Speaker 1: guys who didn't quite get a full season. So no
- 6:44Speaker 1: matter how you parse it and look at it, when
- 6:47Speaker 1: the numbers don't match up to the top guys for
- 6:50Speaker 1: the season, It's always a bit of an optical illusion
- 6:53Speaker 1: to realize that actually they were on pace to do
- 6:55Speaker 1: some things. And again, Jackson Dart didn't do that. And
- 6:58Speaker 1: even if you look at the number of games he
- 7:00Speaker 1: played in, it doesn't even match up to the number
- 7:02Speaker 1: of games he started. And it's not really a fair comparison.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I am in love with the fact that you're talking
- 7:07Speaker 1: about Malachi Fields because I think I have shares of
- 7:09Speaker 1: him in all my dynasty leagues. So let's go Malachi. Ike,
- 7:13Speaker 1: gotta love that guy. Let's bring on Ike. And yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I'm with this. I don't know. Is it the Danny
- 7:18Speaker 1: Dimes effect? Is it still the... There was the DJ initials,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and now it's the JD initials. Is there just something?
- 7:26Speaker 1: Where did he play college? Was it Mississippi?
- 7:31Speaker 2: Ole Miss, yep.
- 7:32Speaker 1: For some reason, I wanted to put him in wherever
- 7:34Speaker 1: Daniel Jones was, too. We've got some different things. Daniel
- 7:39Speaker 1: Jones is a Duke guy. I was thinking North Carolina.
- 7:43Speaker 1: That's Sam Howell.
- 7:44Speaker 2: You're thinking of Sam Howell there.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I am thinking of Sam Howell. Oh, my gosh.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I have a strangely encyclopedic memory of obscure college players
- 7:55Speaker 2: failed quarterbacks except.
- 7:56Speaker 1: For daniel jones who's just a semi-failed quarterback who actually
- 8:00Speaker 1: he would be a good one even for this exercise
- 8:02Speaker 1: but yes he would yeah no i like that man
- 8:04Speaker 1: jackson dart getting a little bit of that rushing upside
- 8:07Speaker 1: that's really what you need in a qb these days
- 8:10Speaker 1: So you look and Justin Herbert is only going to
- 8:12Speaker 1: do so much for you because you're not necessarily going
- 8:16Speaker 1: to get the same rushing from him. Although I remember
- 8:18Speaker 1: the other year seeing Justin Herbert rushing a little bit.
- 8:21Speaker 1: But anyway, point being, yeah, I like it. I like it.
- 8:25Speaker 1: And Jalen Hurts and Jackson Dart also face similar defensive lineups,
- 8:30Speaker 1: except I would rather be going against the Giants defense
- 8:33Speaker 1: than the Eagles defense. But nonetheless, two times a year,
- 8:36Speaker 1: the other two. Anyway, yeah, that's a good one. That's
- 8:39Speaker 1: a good one. My quarterback that I was going to name,
- 8:41Speaker 1: I'm going down a little deeper. I'm going to C.J. Stroud, C.K.
- 8:46Speaker 1: And this is all about capturing some value because there
- 8:50Speaker 1: are so many reasons to be skeptical of C.J. Stroud
- 8:54Speaker 1: this year. I get it. He's taken a huge hit
- 8:57Speaker 1: from his rookie year. He was bad two years ago.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Then we all thought he might bounce back. And then
- 9:03Speaker 1: last year he was still bad. And then after that,
- 9:06Speaker 1: he was in the playoffs and he was even worse.
- 9:08Speaker 1: He was disastrously bad in the playoffs. So there's plenty
- 9:12Speaker 1: of reason to doubt him for that. But let me
- 9:15Speaker 1: say this. He still had very respectable numbers last year.
- 9:19Speaker 1: He only threw for 3,000 yards, but he also only
- 9:22Speaker 1: played 85% of the snaps for the year before. He
- 9:25Speaker 1: was on pace for that. He's not that far off
- 9:26Speaker 1: the pace that he had in his best seasons. a
- 9:30Speaker 1: few more interceptions, but he also didn't lose a fumble
- 9:33Speaker 1: last year, if you're into that. He still ran a bit.
- 9:37Speaker 1: He was the number 16 rusher in only 14 games
- 9:41Speaker 1: among quarterbacks. So he's middle of the road for your
- 9:43Speaker 1: starting quarterbacks in the NFL. Houston is going to use
- 9:45Speaker 1: him this year because they need to make a decision
- 9:47Speaker 1: on whether to pay this guy long-term. There's no doubt
- 9:50Speaker 1: that they are going to want to run him out
- 9:53Speaker 1: there as much as you can. And I just want
- 9:55Speaker 1: you to think about this. We saw what CJ Stroud
- 9:58Speaker 1: could do his rookie year. If he writes the ship
- 10:02Speaker 1: and you buy the dip in dynasty, you're going to
- 10:05Speaker 1: have a 24 year old quarterback. If he is able
- 10:08Speaker 1: to rebound to a level. So I'm not saying he's
- 10:11Speaker 1: a QB one, but I like him a little bit
- 10:14Speaker 1: better higher in the range of the QB two than
- 10:16Speaker 1: lower in the range of the QB two that 23 would, would,
- 10:18Speaker 1: would expect from Because, man, if this guy can get
- 10:21Speaker 1: it right, even though he lost a promising receiver this
- 10:24Speaker 1: year in Jaden Higgins, I think you could capture some
- 10:28Speaker 1: real value out of this, CK. What do you think?
- 10:30Speaker 1: Have I talked into CJ Stroud or is he just
- 10:32Speaker 1: too far gone?
- 10:33Speaker 2: No, I'm still in. I actually made a trade for
- 10:37Speaker 2: him in a Dynasty League this offseason. It's a super
- 10:40Speaker 2: flex league. I'm a competitive team, I would say. It's
- 10:44Speaker 2: a super flex. I have Lamar and Sam Darnold. And
- 10:48Speaker 2: I had JJ McCarthy who's not starting. And so I
- 10:51Speaker 2: wanted a third quarterback who I could rely upon or
- 10:56Speaker 2: feel good enough about relying upon. And so I, somebody
- 11:00Speaker 2: put CJ Stroud on their trade block. I thought, okay,
- 11:05Speaker 2: let's see what it's worth. So it ended up something
- 11:07Speaker 2: where I got CJ Stroud and Parker Washington. I had
- 11:09Speaker 2: to give up a first round pick in 2028. And
- 11:13Speaker 2: I don't remember what, I think maybe Josh Downs, something
- 11:16Speaker 2: like that. So, I felt like that was fair. I
- 11:19Speaker 2: needed another quarterback, and I agree with a lot of
- 11:22Speaker 2: what you're saying here. I also happen to have Nico
- 11:23Speaker 2: Collins on that team, so that was partially appealing. With
- 11:26Speaker 2: Jaden Higgins being injured, Tank Dell being injured, I think
- 11:29Speaker 2: we're a little underselling. There's a legitimate chance Nico Collins
- 11:32Speaker 2: pushes a 32% target share. That's like Jackson Smith and
- 11:35Speaker 2: Jigba levels this year. I don't know who else they're
- 11:37Speaker 2: throwing the ball to other than Dalton Schultz and him,
- 11:39Speaker 2: because there's just... Keyshawn Boutte's been there for six minutes,
- 11:42Speaker 2: and he might be the second receiver, so there's just
- 11:45Speaker 2: no one else there. That's just another discussion, but here's
- 11:49Speaker 2: the way that I think CJ Stroud improves one, their
- 11:51Speaker 2: offensive line has to get better because he's been under
- 11:54Speaker 2: severe amounts of pressure and this throwing it back in
- 11:56Speaker 2: the Texans lawyer. Don't want him to turn into Derek Carr. Sorry,
- 11:59Speaker 2: David Carr, drunk car, David Carr. We've got a little
- 12:01Speaker 2: gun shy there, but what happens if they're right? He
- 12:05Speaker 2: was also gun shy. What happens if their defense isn't
- 12:08Speaker 2: far and away the best? What happens if it's just
- 12:10Speaker 2: good still. And instead of being able to just, rely
- 12:14Speaker 2: on cj stroud and to not turn it over and
- 12:16Speaker 2: let the defense win games if they even have to
- 12:18Speaker 2: throw it a little more because i think he had
- 12:20Speaker 2: 31 pass attempts per game that's pretty much middle of
- 12:22Speaker 2: the pack again but if he has to throw it
- 12:25Speaker 2: a little more i think we can get back to
- 12:28Speaker 2: maybe not rookie season cj stroud but better than we
- 12:32Speaker 2: have seen cj stroud and like you said he's still
- 12:35Speaker 2: really young it's hard to believe it but 24 with
- 12:37Speaker 2: three years of nfl experience already yeah that's someone i'm
- 12:40Speaker 2: willing to take a chance on in dynasty and even
- 12:42Speaker 2: in redraft too if it's late enough.
- 12:44Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. All right. Who's your
- 12:46Speaker 1: second guy, CK?
- 12:48Speaker 2: So anybody who's listened to me on any of the
- 12:50Speaker 2: shows knows that I'm just all in on Devani Chan.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I think he's one of the best running backs in
- 12:54Speaker 2: the NFL. He's just not on as good of a
- 12:56Speaker 2: team as Jameer Gibbs and B. John Robinson. Other than that,
- 12:59Speaker 2: I think he's right up there as far as talent
- 13:00Speaker 2: is concerned. Another one I traded for him in a
- 13:03Speaker 2: couple of dynasty leagues this offseason. The most recent one
- 13:05Speaker 2: was I traded. I had the first pick by a
- 13:08Speaker 2: different trade I made. I wasn't the first team. So
- 13:10Speaker 2: don't like don't stop listing. I wasn't the worst team.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I had the first pick and I traded the first
- 13:14Speaker 2: pick and Woody Marks for Devon HN in a league.
- 13:18Speaker 2: And I felt good about that. But I feel, again,
- 13:21Speaker 2: all of the concerns that people are having with Devon
- 13:23Speaker 2: HN is the Dolphins are going to be historically bad.
- 13:26Speaker 2: And oh, look at the Dolphins. Nobody knows the receivers.
- 13:29Speaker 2: And what if they're just bad? What if they're not
- 13:32Speaker 2: historically bad? What if they're just not good? They weren't
- 13:34Speaker 2: good last season. They were the eighth worst scoring team
- 13:36Speaker 2: last season. And he finished fifth at running back. That's
- 13:39Speaker 2: really the only concerns that you hear with Devon H.
- 13:41Speaker 2: And it's all, they're so bad. He can't do anything.
- 13:43Speaker 2: They've never been good while he's been there yet. He's
- 13:45Speaker 2: averaged historic efficient numbers, 7.8 yards per carry as a
- 13:48Speaker 2: rookie four and a half in a second season. When
- 13:51Speaker 2: that's your bad season, that's ridiculously good. 5.7 yards per
- 13:54Speaker 2: carry last year on a, bad team then too. They
- 13:57Speaker 2: added Malik Willis. Maybe they just hold their own and
- 14:00Speaker 2: they're still eighth worst. Maybe they move up to 10th
- 14:02Speaker 2: worst team in the league. And that's even more upside
- 14:05Speaker 2: for Devon H and a score. I do agree with that.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I do think the target volume will come down. He
- 14:10Speaker 2: had 87 targets two years ago. We had 85 targets
- 14:13Speaker 2: last year. Just some of those times when instead of
- 14:16Speaker 2: dumping the ball to, it was a statue back there.
- 14:18Speaker 2: It was trying to avoid getting concussed and Malik Willis
- 14:20Speaker 2: is not. So I do expect some of those times
- 14:22Speaker 2: Malik Willis will tuck it and run, but I still
- 14:25Speaker 2: think the floor is, 55 targets for Devon HN, something
- 14:29Speaker 2: like that. And rushing efficiency mixed with passing upside. And
- 14:33Speaker 2: for a player who I think can literally score from
- 14:35Speaker 2: anywhere on the field, I have him at RB5. I
- 14:38Speaker 2: really think it's not that different from him and what
- 14:40Speaker 2: Christian McCaffrey could offer. If they got the same amount
- 14:42Speaker 2: of touches, I think Devon HN would be better. He
- 14:43Speaker 2: just isn't going to get that many touches. So I
- 14:46Speaker 2: have him at RB5 and I am willing to take
- 14:48Speaker 2: him in a redraft. I take him at the back
- 14:49Speaker 2: of the first round all the time when he's there.
- 14:51Speaker 2: And for Dynasty, I put my money in my mouth
- 14:53Speaker 2: as he is an RB1 and we'll see. He's still
- 14:55Speaker 2: really young too.
- 14:58Speaker 1: When a team gets really far behind, they need to
- 15:02Speaker 1: go for some home run plays. That's why they throw
- 15:04Speaker 1: the ball. They throw the ball long. They need to
- 15:06Speaker 1: hurry up. In Miami, isn't just handing the ball to
- 15:11Speaker 1: A-Chan a better chance of a big play than throwing
- 15:14Speaker 1: the ball 40 yards down the field?
- 15:17Speaker 2: You got it.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I think it's crazy. My favorite number is about A-Chan.
- 15:20Speaker 1: 17 and 16. That's the number of games he's played
- 15:23Speaker 1: the last two years. That was my fear with him
- 15:25Speaker 1: at the beginning is he had that amazing rookie season,
- 15:27Speaker 1: but he got hurt. I was skeptical last year. I
- 15:30Speaker 1: was wrong. And he, he really blew up. So I'm
- 15:34Speaker 1: with you. I don't know why he would be a Lord.
- 15:36Speaker 1: I would, frankly, I would like him over Christian McCaffrey
- 15:39Speaker 1: this year now, because I'm much less confident that McCaffrey
- 15:42Speaker 1: is going to be able to stay healthy actually than,
- 15:45Speaker 1: than a chance. So, all right. I see you, your
- 15:49Speaker 1: bad offense in Miami, and I raise you the Las
- 15:53Speaker 1: Vegas Raiders, CK, because Ashton Gentry is going to be
- 15:56Speaker 1: my pick. My eyes popped when I saw that he
- 15:59Speaker 1: dropped to RB12. And I get it. It's about the injury, right?
- 16:03Speaker 1: He's been hurt. And then it's also about the team. Oh,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and then it's also about the quarterback. There's all kinds
- 16:09Speaker 1: of things with Ashton Gentry. But look, let's hope that
- 16:12Speaker 1: like love. Talent conquers all in the end because I
- 16:15Speaker 1: think Ashton Gentry is going to do that for us.
- 16:18Speaker 1: The depth chart of the offensive line has improved, folks.
- 16:23Speaker 1: The offensive line is better. Tyler Linderbaum, my Hawkeye, is
- 16:27Speaker 1: a good change coming in there. Clint Kubiak is a
- 16:30Speaker 1: good coach for the offense. I think they won't be
- 16:32Speaker 1: the 32nd best rushing line this year, the way they
- 16:36Speaker 1: were last year. Even the dead cat bounce will get
- 16:39Speaker 1: them into some better territory than that. I don't trust
- 16:42Speaker 1: anybody behind Ashton Gentry in that running back room and, frankly,
- 16:47Speaker 1: in the entire offensive depth chart, right? So I don't
- 16:51Speaker 1: think anybody really doubts. Aside from Brock Bowers, this is
- 16:53Speaker 1: the most talented player on the offense. And whether Mendoza,
- 16:57Speaker 1: when Mendoza comes in, who knows? Kirk Cousins. Who knows?
- 17:01Speaker 1: But I just think that Ashton Genting is going to
- 17:04Speaker 1: be a lot better than the running back 12. I
- 17:06Speaker 1: don't like taking injured players who are already injured coming
- 17:09Speaker 1: into the season like this, but this is going to
- 17:12Speaker 1: be an exception, man, because this is in the late
- 17:15Speaker 1: single digits at worst to me is Ashton Genting, not
- 17:20Speaker 1: RB12 as he is in the ECR. What do you think, CK?
- 17:25Speaker 2: I think the expectations were so high that there's this
- 17:27Speaker 2: perception that his rookie season was bad. 975 rushing yards,
- 17:31Speaker 2: five touchdowns, 346 receiving yards, and another five touchdowns is
- 17:35Speaker 2: a phenomenal rookie season for most players. On the lowest,
- 17:40Speaker 2: I don't think people understand how bad the Raiders offense
- 17:42Speaker 2: was last year. They scored 14.2 points per game. The
- 17:45Speaker 2: next lowest was Cleveland at 16.4. That's two points per
- 17:49Speaker 2: game less than Cleveland. They scored 25 total touchdowns all season. 25.
- 17:54Speaker 2: He had 10 of them. For perspective, the Rams scored
- 17:56Speaker 2: 63 touchdowns. That is how few points the Raiders scored
- 18:01Speaker 2: last season. And he had 10 of their 25 touchdowns
- 18:04Speaker 2: went to Ashton Genting. He's really good. Their team can
- 18:08Speaker 2: only be better, whether it's Kirk Cousins, I believe, has
- 18:10Speaker 2: already been named as the opening season starter. I think
- 18:13Speaker 2: he'll hold that job for a while. Fernando Mendoza looked
- 18:17Speaker 2: a little rough in preseason. Again, preseason, take it for
- 18:19Speaker 2: what it's worth. But I do expect Fernando Mendoza takes over.
- 18:21Speaker 2: And I think they'll be better. They have to be better.
- 18:24Speaker 2: They brought in Jalen Naylor. We're going to get a
- 18:25Speaker 2: better version of the Raiders. And if they're just not
- 18:27Speaker 2: abysmally bad, Ashton Chenty can easily finish as a top
- 18:31Speaker 2: 10 running back. Do not be worried about Ashton Chenty
- 18:32Speaker 2: at all in redraft or dynasty. He will be just fine.
- 18:34Speaker 2: It was just a terrible situation. And he made the
- 18:36Speaker 2: most of it. 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns is not
- 18:39Speaker 2: a bad rookie season on a team that bad.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Absolutely. All right. Who is your next guy, CK?
- 18:46Speaker 2: I guess we have to talk about Marshawn Lloyd here.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I know you're out of Wisconsin. I'm still here. But
- 18:51Speaker 2: it's the talk of Wisconsin right now, right? So Josh Jacobs,
- 18:54Speaker 2: the latest update is they moved up the trial or
- 18:57Speaker 2: pre-trial date. I don't remember exactly the wording that's used,
- 18:59Speaker 2: but it's going to be, this is coming out probably
- 19:01Speaker 2: sometime next week. It's going to be Thursday, September 10th.
- 19:05Speaker 2: And I don't know if that means he's getting off
- 19:06Speaker 2: the exempt list. I honestly have no clue. No one
- 19:08Speaker 2: has a clue. Everything that you hear about Josh Jacobs
- 19:11Speaker 2: is pure speculation. Now that leaves us with what's remaining, right?
- 19:15Speaker 2: They recently traded for Hawkeye legend, Caleb Johnson. Yeah, Caleb Johnson,
- 19:20Speaker 2: a racer. Come on, forget Marshawn Lloyd. Come on. Yeah, again,
- 19:24Speaker 2: 12 minutes on the team here. We'll see if he's
- 19:26Speaker 2: got the offense down in that time. But Marshawn Lloyd,
- 19:30Speaker 2: so he's basically been injured for entirety of two full
- 19:33Speaker 2: seasons that he's been in the league right now. He
- 19:35Speaker 2: has had six carries in two years. He has played
- 19:37Speaker 2: in one total game. And it's basically the same exact
- 19:40Speaker 2: story as Jonathan Brooks, who I feel like has been
- 19:42Speaker 2: this dandy. Everybody wants to hype him up all offseason.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Look how good Jonathan Brooks is. Jonathan Brooks hasn't played either.
- 19:47Speaker 2: And so it's essentially the same thing, except for in
- 19:50Speaker 2: Jonathan Brooks's case, Chuba Hubbard's still healthy. Their offense is
- 19:54Speaker 2: not great. Josh Jacobs isn't going to be there. And
- 19:57Speaker 2: the Packers offense, Josh Jacobs gone or not, I feel
- 20:00Speaker 2: very confident is going to be better than the Panthers offense.
- 20:02Speaker 2: So if we get... 15 touches a week out of
- 20:06Speaker 2: Marshawn Lloyd, which is very possible because the Packers were
- 20:09Speaker 2: number one last year in the league in rushing rate
- 20:11Speaker 2: for when the games were in contention, right? Not when
- 20:14Speaker 2: it got out of hand, but when it was in contention,
- 20:16Speaker 2: the Packers want to run the ball. There is no
- 20:17Speaker 2: doubt about that. Maybe it gets a little less without
- 20:19Speaker 2: Josh Jacobs there. Maybe it gets a little closer to neutral,
- 20:21Speaker 2: but this is a team that wants to run the ball.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I expect Marshawn Lloyd to be pretty effective at it.
- 20:25Speaker 2: We just haven't seen it with two injuries and everything
- 20:27Speaker 2: you read seems good about it. So I have him
- 20:30Speaker 2: at RB 26. That's like back end RB to RB.
- 20:34Speaker 2: priority flex play. You should really, if you're playing a
- 20:37Speaker 2: redraft league, you should try to handcuff him with Josh Jacobs.
- 20:40Speaker 2: I know it sounds, if you don't like Josh Jacobs
- 20:41Speaker 2: for these off-field concerns, I get it. Don't take him.
- 20:44Speaker 2: But if you're just going off of fantasy things, if
- 20:47Speaker 2: you take Marshawn Lloyd, you should still try to take
- 20:48Speaker 2: Josh Jacobs. But I think Marshawn Lloyd is going to
- 20:50Speaker 2: be good in this role. And I don't think people
- 20:51Speaker 2: are appreciating how good he was when we last saw
- 20:53Speaker 2: him at USC.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I get it. And yeah, it's something, it's so hard
- 20:59Speaker 1: because when a depth chart collapses and it's just down
- 21:04Speaker 1: to somebody's going to end up having to do it.
- 21:06Speaker 1: It's so hard to know who's going to fill that gap,
- 21:09Speaker 1: but Marshawn Lloyd's as good a bet as anything. And
- 21:11Speaker 1: the Packers offense is going to be good. They're always
- 21:14Speaker 1: good up there. I like that. I do think, yeah,
- 21:17Speaker 1: Josh Jacobs season is off the rails at this point anyway.
- 21:21Speaker 1: So I like that as good as, and I joke
- 21:24Speaker 1: about Caleb Johnson, but Caleb Johnson was with Pittsburgh for
- 21:27Speaker 1: two years and he never learned the playbook. So who
- 21:29Speaker 1: knows if he can do it in green Bay in
- 21:31Speaker 1: three weeks. Oh, anyway, breaking my heart. I'm going to
- 21:36Speaker 1: go for my second running back with Javante Williams is
- 21:39Speaker 1: a little bit more. I can't say this is a
- 21:41Speaker 1: deep sleeper again, right? I haven't gone too deep yet. Javante,
- 21:45Speaker 1: everybody knows Javante Williams, a very prominent player for the
- 21:49Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys. And I guess my point is he is
- 21:54Speaker 1: behind a great offensive line. He's in a great offense.
- 21:57Speaker 1: He catches the ball. He doesn't have the wear and
- 21:59Speaker 1: tear that you'd expect of a six-year guy who finally
- 22:02Speaker 1: found a home because Denver, he didn't get a ton
- 22:04Speaker 1: of usage in Denver the whole time he was there.
- 22:07Speaker 1: He's getting paid now. There's no reason for Dallas to,
- 22:11Speaker 1: not like Dallas would be conservative anyway, but they obviously
- 22:13Speaker 1: paid him like they thought he was going to do
- 22:15Speaker 1: something for him. So he's going to be used plenty.
- 22:18Speaker 1: The backups are getting dumped like, I don't know, dumped
- 22:21Speaker 1: like cow chips off the back of trucks there in
- 22:23Speaker 1: Texas right now. Trucks? I don't know. Maybe like Hayride.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Whatever those Hayride trucks are. Yeah, that's where they dump
- 22:30Speaker 1: the cow chips off of. Anyway, Javante Williams, anyway, where
- 22:34Speaker 1: I was going here. Why do we trust Kenneth Walker
- 22:37Speaker 1: III and Omarion Hampton more than Javante on the ECR?
- 22:41Speaker 1: I don't quite get that. Omarion, yeah, he's kind of
- 22:45Speaker 1: the young, hot thing. Kenneth Walker, yeah, he's the hot
- 22:48Speaker 1: thing that just got a Super Bowl MVP, but that
- 22:50Speaker 1: doesn't always portend future success. He's moving to Kansas City,
- 22:54Speaker 1: who doesn't always have Belkow. I don't know. Kenneth Walker
- 22:58Speaker 1: was a platoon guy a lot of the time when
- 23:00Speaker 1: he was in Seattle, I felt, or he was not
- 23:04Speaker 1: an overwhelming RB1 all the time. To me, Javante Williams,
- 23:08Speaker 1: and yeah, sure, Javante Williams has had that issue too,
- 23:10Speaker 1: but he showed enough last year with Dallas, and there
- 23:13Speaker 1: are enough factors behind him that he is a back-end
- 23:17Speaker 1: RB1 for me for this year. What do you think, CK?
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yeah. Dallas is explosive. Honestly, when you put Javante Williams
- 23:25Speaker 2: and you sent it to me, I thought, Javante, how
- 23:26Speaker 2: old is he? 28, 29? He is 26. I did
- 23:29Speaker 2: not realize he was still only 26 years old. I
- 23:31Speaker 2: was like, oh, he's got to be getting close. And yeah,
- 23:34Speaker 2: that's impressive. The Dallas offense should still be good. I
- 23:36Speaker 2: know he cooled off a little. I had him in
- 23:38Speaker 2: a couple of leagues last year. He could cool off
- 23:39Speaker 2: a bit down the stretch, but he would basically miss
- 23:41Speaker 2: the entire season before with a knee injury. So maybe
- 23:45Speaker 2: it was just starting to wear down a little bit.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Gets better another year in there. Like you said, they
- 23:49Speaker 2: paid him this time. There's no doubt they just released
- 23:51Speaker 2: their presumed backup in Jadon Blue, and it's going to
- 23:54Speaker 2: be Malik Davis instead. But I think I don't see
- 23:58Speaker 2: why much really changes with Javante Williams as long as
- 24:00Speaker 2: he's in Dallas and healthy. I think last year he
- 24:02Speaker 2: had 252 carries. 230-plus seems pretty much like a lock
- 24:07Speaker 2: as long as he's healthy again, and he's going to
- 24:09Speaker 2: get the majority of the pass-catching snaps, pass-catching reps from Dak. So, yeah,
- 24:15Speaker 2: I do like Amari and Hampton. You mentioned Amari and Hampton.
- 24:17Speaker 2: I like him more, but that's just because I just
- 24:19Speaker 2: think Mike McDaniels is just a genius for offense and
- 24:22Speaker 2: how he uses running backs. That's probably why I like
- 24:24Speaker 2: Dane Chan too, but I would be just fine. Devontae
- 24:27Speaker 2: Williams against Kenneth Walker. That is a great competition because
- 24:30Speaker 2: I just think we were getting, if you listen to
- 24:32Speaker 2: some of the shows, again, I've been on that I've
- 24:33Speaker 2: talked about, I just think Kenneth Walker gets a lot
- 24:35Speaker 2: of hype for the fact that they said coming off
- 24:37Speaker 2: the MVP award and things like that. But it was
- 24:40Speaker 2: really the only time we've ever seen him get that
- 24:42Speaker 2: type of a workload in his career. So we'll see
- 24:45Speaker 2: how that goes in Kansas city. But yeah, Speaking of
- 24:48Speaker 2: Kansas City, great transition here because that's where my first
- 24:50Speaker 2: receiver is. I have Rasheed Rice at wide receiver 11,
- 24:55Speaker 2: and I could actually move him up from there if
- 24:57Speaker 2: I really wanted to, I think. But first off, again,
- 24:59Speaker 2: I get it. There are off-season, off-field concerns with the
- 25:04Speaker 2: poor choices he's made in his life, multiple poor choices
- 25:07Speaker 2: he's made in his life. There are injury concerns. Because
- 25:09Speaker 2: of that, we have not seen him play a full
- 25:11Speaker 2: season of games yet. 28 games and 20 starts in
- 25:14Speaker 2: three seasons that he's been in the league. Last year,
- 25:17Speaker 2: he started the year suspended. He came back. You might
- 25:21Speaker 2: not remember it because after Patrick Mahomes got hurt, Rasheed
- 25:24Speaker 2: Rice also didn't play because he got concussed at the
- 25:26Speaker 2: end of the season and he didn't play. So we
- 25:28Speaker 2: got eight games last season. Now, in those eight games,
- 25:32Speaker 2: 78 targets, 53 catches, 571 yards, and five touchdowns. So
- 25:37Speaker 2: if you break it down to per game, that's 9.8
- 25:39Speaker 2: targets per game. That's 6.6 receptions, 71 yards, and a
- 25:43Speaker 2: half of touchdowns. The only wide receivers that averaged over 9.8
- 25:46Speaker 2: targets per game are Jamar Chase, Amandra St. Brown, and
- 25:50Speaker 2: Puka Nakua, who go off the board in the top
- 25:53Speaker 2: eight picks, almost guaranteed of any fantasy draft at this point.
- 25:56Speaker 2: The only players who average more receptions per game than
- 25:58Speaker 2: his six and a half are Jamar Chase, Puka Nakua,
- 26:01Speaker 2: Jackson Smith, and Jigba, and Amandra St. Brown, who are
- 26:03Speaker 2: the top four receivers in nearly every draft you're in.
- 26:07Speaker 2: The only players that average more targets and catches per
- 26:09Speaker 2: game than Rasheed Rice last season. And what I really
- 26:12Speaker 2: love about Rasheed Rice is when they get in the
- 26:13Speaker 2: red zone, It's no doubt anymore who's getting the ball.
- 26:16Speaker 2: And that's another concern I have about Kenneth Walker is
- 26:18Speaker 2: Rasheed Rice in eight games had 18 red zone targets,
- 26:21Speaker 2: not on a per game basis, on a total basis.
- 26:24Speaker 2: That would have been seventh in the league in only
- 26:27Speaker 2: seven or eight games. He had 18 red zone targets,
- 26:29Speaker 2: seventh among all receivers in eight games. When he gets
- 26:32Speaker 2: down there, they scheme him touches to get him the
- 26:34Speaker 2: ball in the red zone. and he's taken advantage of it.
- 26:37Speaker 2: We just need to see a full season of him.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I think he is the last player you can take
- 26:41Speaker 2: in redraft leagues who has a legitimate chance to be
- 26:43Speaker 2: the number one wide receiver overall. That is in the
- 26:45Speaker 2: realm of possibility for him if you get a full
- 26:48Speaker 2: season from him and Patrick Mahomes.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and that is one of the big questions, and
- 26:52Speaker 1: it's looking like Mahomes is going to play week one, right?
- 26:55Speaker 1: They're thinking now that he's going to do it. Yeah,
- 26:58Speaker 1: so we'll see. We'll see how rusty he is or
- 27:01Speaker 1: how he's able to perform when the lights are really
- 27:04Speaker 1: up there on him, but It's pretty hard to bet
- 27:06Speaker 1: against Patrick Mahomes. But yeah, I like it. Yeah, Rasheed Rice,
- 27:09Speaker 1: he again is another guy who's disguised under the incomplete
- 27:12Speaker 1: number of games, like you said. And you have to
- 27:14Speaker 1: consider that when you look at his stats. So yeah, very, very,
- 27:18Speaker 1: very interesting. Rasheed Rice, we will be watching his career
- 27:21Speaker 1: with great interest. Let's take a brief break, come back,
- 27:24Speaker 1: and we're going to talk about a few more guys. CK,
- 27:42Speaker 1: a couple of years ago, I remember thinking that Marvin
- 27:45Speaker 1: Harrison was one of the best dynasty picks that we'd
- 27:49Speaker 1: had in a while. He was the number one overall
- 27:52Speaker 1: in a dynasty rookie draft. He already was, some would
- 27:55Speaker 1: consider him top 10 overall in just overall dynasty ranks
- 27:59Speaker 1: when he came out, just because he was a rookie
- 28:00Speaker 1: and he was so talented, so productive at Ohio State.
- 28:04Speaker 1: And now he's listed as wide receiver 31 in leagues.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And I'm just, I'm not prepared. That aggression will not
- 28:13Speaker 1: stand for me, CK. Marvin Harrison is better than the
- 28:16Speaker 1: 31st best wide receiver. We got to remember his stats
- 28:20Speaker 1: were good last year. He basically was hurt for the
- 28:25Speaker 1: second half of the season. That's what happened to him.
- 28:27Speaker 1: He didn't play or he was inactive for a lot
- 28:31Speaker 1: of the second half of the season with a heel
- 28:33Speaker 1: that messed up a lot of things. And in the
- 28:36Speaker 1: time that he did play, That was the time when
- 28:38Speaker 1: Kyler Murray was just a dang disaster in there. It
- 28:41Speaker 1: was the end of the Kyler Murray era for the
- 28:44Speaker 1: Arizona Cardinals. And we're listing. Now, I haven't gone back
- 28:49Speaker 1: and watched a game tape on this. All right. I'm
- 28:51Speaker 1: going to admit that. But he had a few drops
- 28:54Speaker 1: last year, but those drops were almost entirely when Murray
- 28:59Speaker 1: was the quarterback. I'm going to go ahead and give
- 29:01Speaker 1: him a little bit of a pass on his catch rate,
- 29:05Speaker 1: given that it coincided with Kyler Murray being there. We're
- 29:09Speaker 1: all so fired up about Michael Wilson now. And yes,
- 29:11Speaker 1: Michael Wilson had the majority of the touches last year.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Michael Wilson thrived when Jacoby Brissett was out there. And
- 29:17Speaker 1: he's really being, I don't know, if you took a
- 29:21Speaker 1: drink of something every time you heard Michael Wilson and
- 29:23Speaker 1: Sleeper in the same sentence, you'd probably be dead right now.
- 29:26Speaker 1: But Marvin Harrison is the more talented of the two,
- 29:28Speaker 1: in my opinion. And Jacoby Brissett and him are going
- 29:32Speaker 1: to get along just fine as he gets out there.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I think when we get a healthy Marvin Harrison, we're
- 29:37Speaker 1: going to remember this year why he was so good.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Arizona is going to be playing from way behind, way enough.
- 29:43Speaker 1: That's crazy. Last year, they started 2-0 and then won
- 29:47Speaker 1: one more game the rest of the season against Dallas.
- 29:50Speaker 1: That's hilarious. All right. So Marvin Harrison Jr., what do
- 29:53Speaker 1: you think, CK? Has the world gone too hard against him?
- 29:58Speaker 2: His value will never be lower than it is right now.
- 30:01Speaker 2: And here's the deal. If this is either going to
- 30:03Speaker 2: skyrocket and next year, when we do this show together,
- 30:06Speaker 2: if you'll have me back, he'll be a top 10
- 30:08Speaker 2: wide receiver or it's going to fall to zero. If
- 30:11Speaker 2: it doesn't happen again, this will be it. He'll be
- 30:14Speaker 2: available for anybody, but this is the time to buy him.
- 30:17Speaker 2: If there's a time, because like you said, when he
- 30:18Speaker 2: came out and I don't know if you're in that
- 30:21Speaker 2: league or not, I'm in a dynasty league. I happen
- 30:23Speaker 2: to have the first pick that year. I traded the
- 30:24Speaker 2: first pick that year for Jalen Waddle. And I believe,
- 30:27Speaker 2: four first round picks for, so that somebody could take
- 30:30Speaker 2: Marvin Harrison. I've not always, I finished second in that
- 30:33Speaker 2: league last year. I've not always been super competitive. That was,
- 30:35Speaker 2: I knew that again, just the way his career is
- 30:37Speaker 2: planned out. So people wanted Marvin Harrison jr. Now it's probably,
- 30:41Speaker 2: I don't know, late first for sure. Probably gets it done.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Second round pick for him in a dynasty league. Point one,
- 30:46Speaker 2: he has to stay away from the fluky injuries, right?
- 30:49Speaker 2: It was a concussion last year. It was a heel
- 30:52Speaker 2: injury and it wasn't, appendix surgery that he needed he
- 30:55Speaker 2: needed to have his appendix removed so you're talking about
- 30:58Speaker 2: fluky injuries he has to stay away from the fluky
- 31:00Speaker 2: injuries he's always going to deal you mentioned Michael Wilson
- 31:03Speaker 2: he's always going to deal with Trey McBride that's the
- 31:04Speaker 2: one right he's never I don't think he's ever going
- 31:06Speaker 2: to get the target volume that with because Trey McBride
- 31:08Speaker 2: is there Trey McBride's just proven to be this completely
- 31:10Speaker 2: dominant midfield player who's going to get more targets than
- 31:13Speaker 2: Marvin Harrison but I do think he can be option
- 31:16Speaker 2: two in the offense over Michael Wilson and Jeremiah Love
- 31:20Speaker 2: if you believe in that what his pass catching volume
- 31:22Speaker 2: is I also don't think they're going to throw the
- 31:25Speaker 2: ball as much. They led the league in pass attempts
- 31:27Speaker 2: last year, which is just shocking. Jacoby Brissett got in
- 31:29Speaker 2: there and they started throwing the ball 50 times a
- 31:31Speaker 2: game and Jacoby Brissett was great for fantasy football. If
- 31:34Speaker 2: you picked him up in the mid season, I think
- 31:35Speaker 2: he finished 10 straight weeks, eight straight weeks as a
- 31:37Speaker 2: quarterback one down the stretch. I don't think that's going
- 31:40Speaker 2: to happen again. I have Jacoby Brissett and his backups
- 31:42Speaker 2: and some super flex leagues. I'm not expecting him to
- 31:45Speaker 2: be a QB one. I don't think anybody's expecting that, but.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Even if they throw the ball and they drop from
- 31:49Speaker 2: 38 pass attempts a game to 32, that's still middle
- 31:53Speaker 2: of the pack of the league. And a slightly more
- 31:56Speaker 2: efficient Marvin Harrison. And yeah, I don't remember what you said.
- 31:59Speaker 2: He's at 32 in the rankings right now.
- 32:02Speaker 1: He is. Yeah, he's 31 in the.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's probably too low. He should probably be closer.
- 32:06Speaker 2: I think he can still be a wide receiver too.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Pretty easily. It just takes him being a little bit
- 32:10Speaker 2: more efficient. And I said being on the field more.
- 32:12Speaker 2: So yes, I am in on Marvin Harrison too at
- 32:15Speaker 2: that cost. I'm going from talking about raising it from
- 32:19Speaker 2: one offense to another, man, I'm going to the jets
- 32:21Speaker 2: and that is Garrett Wilson. We're just, we're going off
- 32:24Speaker 2: the explosive offenses here. I'm going to Garrett Wilson, who
- 32:28Speaker 2: is quite a bit higher than this. He is, I
- 32:30Speaker 2: have him at wide receiver 13. I think he's about
- 32:31Speaker 2: wide receiver 18. I don't have a step in front
- 32:33Speaker 2: of me on the ECR, but he's played four seasons
- 32:36Speaker 2: in the league. The first three years he finished wide receiver,
- 32:39Speaker 2: 21 wide receiver, 36. wide receiver, 16. Those were total numbers.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Last year, you have to look at a per-game basis where, again,
- 32:45Speaker 2: he finishes a wide receiver 16 on a per-game basis.
- 32:48Speaker 2: He got skewed. Really, that's even skewed because, again, he
- 32:51Speaker 2: played seven games, but one of them, two of them,
- 32:54Speaker 2: he came out early with injuries. He really only played
- 32:55Speaker 2: six weeks. Now, let me remind you, that is four
- 32:58Speaker 2: seasons of being a top 36 wide receiver. Here are
- 33:01Speaker 2: the list of the 10 quarterbacks who Garrett Wilson has
- 33:04Speaker 2: caught passes from. Zach Wilson, Mike White, Joe Flacco, Chris Strebler,
- 33:10Speaker 2: Trevor Simeon, Tim Boyle, the ghost of Aaron Rodgers, Justin Fields,
- 33:15Speaker 2: Tyra Taylor, and Brady Cook. Say what you want about
- 33:19Speaker 2: Gino Smith. I feel confident he's better than at least
- 33:22Speaker 2: about seven or eight names on that list. Bar none.
- 33:25Speaker 2: There's just so much target volume that Garrett Wilson gets
- 33:27Speaker 2: that even with those terrible quarterbacks throwing him the ball,
- 33:30Speaker 2: he is still able to give that type of production.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Last week through the first six weeks, he had at
- 33:35Speaker 2: least eight targets every game. They have a new offensive
- 33:38Speaker 2: coordinator in New York, former head coach of the Colts,
- 33:41Speaker 2: Frank Reich. He's already used words like tunneling target volume
- 33:46Speaker 2: to him, making sure that we keep him involved every week.
- 33:49Speaker 2: His injury last season was a hyperextended knee. There should
- 33:51Speaker 2: be no lingering effects of that. There's just so few
- 33:56Speaker 2: ways that they do not make sure that they get
- 33:59Speaker 2: Garrett Wilson the ball every week, early and often, so often.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I think he could finish as a wide receiver 1-2
- 34:03Speaker 2: this season, and I'm willing to buy it in Dynasty 2.
- 34:07Speaker 2: If you can get him, I would go out and
- 34:08Speaker 2: try and get Garrett Wilson because it can only go up.
- 34:10Speaker 2: The quarterback play can only get higher, Jesse. We can
- 34:12Speaker 2: no longer get even worse.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Just listening to you list off all those Jets quarterbacks,
- 34:18Speaker 1: are they coming for the Browns record? Do they think
- 34:21Speaker 1: that they're going to be able to beat the Browns
- 34:23Speaker 1: quarterback history? At least they've got Benny Testaverde, but then
- 34:26Speaker 1: I think the Browns do too, don't they? I've got
- 34:28Speaker 1: to go back for it. I think Benny was back
- 34:30Speaker 1: there with the Browns at some point. I could be
- 34:32Speaker 1: imagining that. Who the heck knows? But yeah, what a
- 34:35Speaker 1: bereft situation they've had for so many years. And it's
- 34:38Speaker 1: just Garrett Wilson, the problem, every one of the players
- 34:41Speaker 1: I feel like that we brought up, or at least
- 34:45Speaker 1: many of the players that we brought up who are
- 34:47Speaker 1: ranked low. Some of you out there winced when you
- 34:50Speaker 1: heard them because you were in pain from thinking about
- 34:53Speaker 1: past years when you drafted that person high, Marvin Harrison
- 34:57Speaker 1: or all these other guys. Garrett Wilson has been that
- 35:00Speaker 1: guy to me a couple of times. So it's more
- 35:03Speaker 1: painful for me to admit, but he's always had the talent.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I remember a couple of years ago thinking, and the
- 35:09Speaker 1: jets have so many weapons. Now they're absolutely going to thrive.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Nobody could, no quarterback could fail with all these weapons,
- 35:15Speaker 1: but Oh, they failed.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Never underestimates the jets and their ability to fail. Never
- 35:21Speaker 2: underestimate it.
- 35:22Speaker 1: At least those folks in New York have the Mets.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Oh, I mean, that's right.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah. Okay. Garrett Wilson, the talent is there. And
- 35:30Speaker 1: with a little bit of competent quarterback play and how
- 35:33Speaker 1: much fun would it be if Gino Smith turned out
- 35:35Speaker 1: to be the guy who was able to turn that around?
- 35:37Speaker 1: Because he, Mostly until, until a couple of years ago,
- 35:40Speaker 1: he would have fit right into that list that you
- 35:42Speaker 1: just gave us. Yeah. All right. I'm going to go
- 35:46Speaker 1: with another guy who I definitely burned some people last
- 35:49Speaker 1: year because he was pretty high in the rankings. Brian
- 35:51Speaker 1: Thomas jr. Of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He, and only because
- 35:56Speaker 1: he's already down, he's all the way down at wide
- 35:58Speaker 1: receiver 33. That's just too far down for me. I
- 36:02Speaker 1: think this Parker Washington business is, Has gone just about
- 36:05Speaker 1: far enough, CK. You kids settle down with your Parker
- 36:08Speaker 1: Washington business because that's great. Parker Washington is a sleeper. Again,
- 36:14Speaker 1: so much a sleeper that he's not a sleeper. Jacoby Myers,
- 36:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I don't buy into Jacoby Myers just continuing
- 36:21Speaker 1: to be the second. People think he's going to be
- 36:24Speaker 1: the second coming or something. He's a fringe player at
- 36:27Speaker 1: this point. His career, Brian Thomas's, because that's who we're
- 36:30Speaker 1: talking about actually, was highlighted by rookie season December to remember,
- 36:35Speaker 1: just like the commercials say. And then last year, he
- 36:37Speaker 1: looked bad when Jacksonville was trying to make fetch happen
- 36:40Speaker 1: with Travis Hunter early. It was him and Travis Hunter
- 36:42Speaker 1: out there. And then later, he missed some games due
- 36:45Speaker 1: to injury, dealt with an ankle problem when he did
- 36:47Speaker 1: come back. So again, this was a, like Marvin Harrison
- 36:52Speaker 1: in a way, The first part of the season, it
- 36:54Speaker 1: was an unsuccessful pass. There was problems with the passing offense.
- 36:57Speaker 1: The second half of the season, he was hurt. Not there,
- 37:00Speaker 1: but the best player. And the offense got better. But
- 37:03Speaker 1: that doesn't mean he's not a player who's going to
- 37:05Speaker 1: be part of it when the team is at its
- 37:07Speaker 1: most successful. He's going to get all the snaps he wants.
- 37:10Speaker 1: He's better than the 33rd best wide receiver. And Parker
- 37:14Speaker 1: Washington can be valuable, but I think Brian Thomas is
- 37:18Speaker 1: going to be more valuable. What do you think, CK?
- 37:23Speaker 2: Yeah, he was among my most disappointing players last season.
- 37:25Speaker 2: I had a lot of Brian Thomas, I felt like,
- 37:28Speaker 2: and it clearly did not come to fruition as I
- 37:30Speaker 2: was someone I was, I feel like I was probably
- 37:31Speaker 2: taken back in the first round at this time last
- 37:33Speaker 2: year in redraft leagues and didn't work out. You mentioned
- 37:37Speaker 2: the injuries. There was the ankle. There was a shoulder
- 37:40Speaker 2: that he played through and he'd talk about how he
- 37:42Speaker 2: wouldn't get hit. It would hurt him. So that, again,
- 37:44Speaker 2: he's got to avoid the injuries, right? Just be healthy.
- 37:48Speaker 2: It's awesome that you played through it. But the Jaguars
- 37:50Speaker 2: also completely changed the way they used him from one
- 37:53Speaker 2: year to another, which was odd. With all the success
- 37:56Speaker 2: they had the first year with it, we expected it
- 37:58Speaker 2: to pretty much stay the same, and it didn't. The
- 38:01Speaker 2: targets dropped 7.8 for a game as a rookie to 6.5
- 38:03Speaker 2: last year. Okay, maybe that's just adding in Travis Hunter
- 38:06Speaker 2: on offense, like you mentioned. They tried it for Jacoby
- 38:09Speaker 2: Myers in the midseason. Parker Washington emerged. Brenton Strange was
- 38:13Speaker 2: mostly healthy. So I can get behind the targets going down.
- 38:16Speaker 2: It's the way they used him, though. As a rookie, 11.5
- 38:19Speaker 2: yards as an ADOT, which is average depth of target,
- 38:21Speaker 2: that's gold. That's what we want. 11.5 yards is good
- 38:25Speaker 2: enough that when he catches the ball, you're basically picking
- 38:27Speaker 2: up two points for PPR even if you get tackled.
- 38:29Speaker 2: But you can catch a lot of those passes, too,
- 38:30Speaker 2: at 11.5 yards. That's 65% catch rate. That's really strong.
- 38:34Speaker 2: And a 5% drop rate. Last year, though, the ADOT
- 38:36Speaker 2: climbs to 14.5. That's actually, it sounds good, but if
- 38:39Speaker 2: you're at 14.5, it's way harder to catch passes. Players
- 38:42Speaker 2: in that range are Darnell Mooney, like, Ricky Pearsall, if
- 38:46Speaker 2: you get the huge ones, obviously it's Alec Pierce, but
- 38:48Speaker 2: then you're just hoping that he catches Christian Watson, those
- 38:51Speaker 2: type of players where they catch 17, 18 yards downfield.
- 38:54Speaker 2: You're not going to catch as many passes. And we
- 38:55Speaker 2: saw that, right? So the ADOT climbs to 14.5. His
- 38:58Speaker 2: catch rate falls off to 52%. One out of every
- 39:00Speaker 2: two balls, basically, that went to him, he was able
- 39:02Speaker 2: to catch. And then the drop rate climbed to 11%.
- 39:05Speaker 2: So we really need them to blend together. Obviously, that's
- 39:08Speaker 2: what we'd love to see is instead of the– Six
- 39:12Speaker 2: and a half targets. Can we get back to seven
- 39:13Speaker 2: targets instead of being just running downfield, which is what
- 39:16Speaker 2: I'm a little bit worried about with Brian Thomas, is
- 39:18Speaker 2: that he's the one who can stretch the field on
- 39:19Speaker 2: this team. No one is going to accuse Jacoby Myers
- 39:21Speaker 2: of getting downfield. That's not the way that Parker Washington plays.
- 39:24Speaker 2: That's what Brian Thomas does. But instead of 14 yards downfield,
- 39:27Speaker 2: can he get back to run him across the field
- 39:29Speaker 2: a little bit? 11, get him some scheme touches, like
- 39:31Speaker 2: the way that the Chiefs use Rasheed Rice, who also
- 39:34Speaker 2: can get downfield if he needs to, but they don't
- 39:35Speaker 2: use him like that. But I want to believe in
- 39:38Speaker 2: Brian Thomas again. I do. I think Liam Colvin's offense
- 39:40Speaker 2: is great. but there are still a lot of questions
- 39:44Speaker 2: on just how the Jaguars are all going to fit
- 39:46Speaker 2: together that I don't actually get a lot of Brian
- 39:48Speaker 2: Thomas this year. I'm maybe I'm just burned and I
- 39:50Speaker 2: hope that you are right, but not my cup of
- 39:53Speaker 2: tea this season. I'll give you that one. I'm going
- 39:54Speaker 2: to say that about him.
- 39:57Speaker 1: I totally get it. I totally get it. It's it's fair.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:00Speaker 1: He just, at least he didn't rupture an appendix and
- 40:03Speaker 1: let's just hope for Paris. It doesn't have a second
- 40:05Speaker 1: appendix that that's going to go out on him this year.
- 40:08Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Keep your organs inside, man. That's what we want. Just
- 40:12Speaker 2: keep your organs.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Keep them in on Venture Spleen, my friend. All right.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Who is your, I think it's, we're down to the
- 40:16Speaker 1: final one. Who's your final guy, CK? So we're going
- 40:19Speaker 1: to talk a tight end here.
- 40:20Speaker 2: And I love the top seven, maybe not Harold Fannin
- 40:23Speaker 2: all the time, but those ones, you should clearly try
- 40:25Speaker 2: and target those ones in drafts. If you can get
- 40:27Speaker 2: one of those great ones, I get a lot of
- 40:29Speaker 2: Tucker Kraft and Kyle Pitts. But if we're looking a
- 40:31Speaker 2: little deeper, then when it comes to tight end, I
- 40:33Speaker 2: just want to shoot for some upside. And if it
- 40:35Speaker 2: doesn't work out, I'm more than likely just going to
- 40:36Speaker 2: try to essentially stream the position. And I'll go with
- 40:39Speaker 2: someone like Dalton Schultz if he's getting some target volume.
- 40:42Speaker 2: So if I'm going for upside, I'm going to go
- 40:43Speaker 2: with the wildly volatile Aranda Getson from what we saw
- 40:47Speaker 2: last season and what I think we're going to see
- 40:49Speaker 2: this season. Let's start with the good. The stretch in
- 40:52Speaker 2: the middle of the season, it looked like they found
- 40:53Speaker 2: a star. It looked like in the middle of last season,
- 40:56Speaker 2: they had found a star in Aranda Getson week six,
- 40:59Speaker 2: seven catches for 68 yards. That's awesome for a tight end.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Then seven catches for 164 yards and a touchdown finishes
- 41:05Speaker 2: the top side and five catches for 77 yards and
- 41:07Speaker 2: a touchdown five for 68. That's four weeks where he
- 41:10Speaker 2: was great. And then he caught three for 13 on
- 41:13Speaker 2: six targets against Pittsburgh. And then the target line just disappeared.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Five targets, two targets, four targets, five targets, one target,
- 41:19Speaker 2: six targets and two targets. Every time that he had
- 41:22Speaker 2: six targets or more, he finished as a top 15
- 41:23Speaker 2: tight end multiple times, finishing as a top 12 tight end.
- 41:26Speaker 2: And once finishing as the number one tight end. Now, He,
- 41:30Speaker 2: I already mentioned, Mike McDaniels came over as the offensive
- 41:32Speaker 2: coordinator there. He has a substantial track record with having
- 41:35Speaker 2: big-time success with tight ends. China Smith went for 1,000
- 41:38Speaker 2: yards with him. Mike Kosicki had his best receiving year
- 41:41Speaker 2: with him in Miami. Times last year, Greg Dolchess even
- 41:44Speaker 2: was pretty good. That's the success of his offensive system
- 41:47Speaker 2: with tight ends. The unfortunate thing is they brought in
- 41:50Speaker 2: two other tight ends this offseason in both David Njoku
- 41:53Speaker 2: and Charlie Kohler. Otherwise, I'd have been all in on
- 41:56Speaker 2: Aranda Gadsden. Now it's a little more concerning on how
- 41:59Speaker 2: they're going to use it. Like I said, if you're
- 42:01Speaker 2: going to hunt for upside, I don't know if there
- 42:03Speaker 2: is a bigger upside play than a tight end late
- 42:06Speaker 2: in the draft than Aranda Gadsden. We've seen literally a
- 42:10Speaker 2: top five outcome possibility out of him. If we got it,
- 42:14Speaker 2: I think that's in there. I also think he could
- 42:16Speaker 2: be maybe not on a dynasty league, but in a
- 42:18Speaker 2: redraft league, he could be on your waiver wire in
- 42:19Speaker 2: week three because he doesn't play over Charlie Kohler and
- 42:22Speaker 2: Dave Njoku. So I have him in some dynasty leagues.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I'm going to store it, stash him on my bench.
- 42:27Speaker 2: Cause I think he's going to be really good someday,
- 42:29Speaker 2: but in, in redraft, if you can get him late,
- 42:32Speaker 2: take a chance on it, man. I think he's got
- 42:34Speaker 2: a lot of upside and if it doesn't work out,
- 42:35Speaker 2: I don't, I feel confident that most people will be
- 42:37Speaker 2: able to stream the position at tight end most of
- 42:39Speaker 2: the year and still be okay.
- 42:42Speaker 1: I don't know what to think of Ronda Gadsden because
- 42:44Speaker 1: like you said, he had a couple of weeks that
- 42:47Speaker 1: he popped and I was in a trade discussion for
- 42:50Speaker 1: Ronda Gadsden this past off season. And he, Somebody was
- 42:54Speaker 1: asking for the moon for this guy. I thought, all right,
- 42:56Speaker 1: I'll ask for Gadsden and he can be one of
- 42:59Speaker 1: several things that I'm asking for here. And the other
- 43:02Speaker 1: guy was like, look, I think we're valuing this guy
- 43:05Speaker 1: very differently. I'm thinking of him as like a top
- 43:07Speaker 1: 10 dynasty tight end. And I'm thinking, really? There's maybe
- 43:11Speaker 1: rationale to that in terms of the overall talent. But
- 43:15Speaker 1: so I'm not at all doubting what you're saying here,
- 43:18Speaker 1: especially relative to ECR. Could he get up to tight
- 43:21Speaker 1: end 11? or he's your tight end 11, take your
- 43:24Speaker 1: chances at that point. There aren't that many really reliable
- 43:27Speaker 1: tight ends anyway, but I was just surprised. He snuck
- 43:30Speaker 1: up on me, this guy. I thought I was going
- 43:32Speaker 1: to be able to get him at an affordable rate,
- 43:35Speaker 1: but I think some people are already really onto this one. Yeah,
- 43:39Speaker 1: I like it, man. All right. I'm going to tell
- 43:41Speaker 1: you a tale of a tight end, CK. And in
- 43:44Speaker 1: his first four years, He got about 2,000 yards over
- 43:48Speaker 1: the course of his first four years. Has a really
- 43:51Speaker 1: good reputation of being a pretty good tight end, relevant
- 43:53Speaker 1: fantasy tight end. And then after his first four years,
- 43:58Speaker 1: he is going to go to another team with a
- 44:01Speaker 1: much better quarterback, just almost MVP level quarterback. And we're
- 44:05Speaker 1: going to see how much he takes off because he's
- 44:07Speaker 1: 26 now. It's time to make the change. I am
- 44:10Speaker 1: talking about Chika Kongwo. of now the Washington Commanders, but
- 44:15Speaker 1: I'm also talking about Greg Olson, boom, of the Carolina Panthers.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Basically the same stats for the first four years, except
- 44:23Speaker 1: Olson had a lot more touchdowns. But then Olson, after
- 44:27Speaker 1: those 2,000 yards over his first four years, he went
- 44:29Speaker 1: to Cam Newton and then things got nuts. And then
- 44:33Speaker 1: he had his 1,000 yard years instead of his 1,000
- 44:36Speaker 1: yard two years. I kind of think Chikokongo could have
- 44:39Speaker 1: a little bit of the same trajectory because he's going
- 44:41Speaker 1: to the best He's going to the best quarterback he's
- 44:45Speaker 1: ever had. Just like Greg Olson was playing with the
- 44:48Speaker 1: likes of, I don't know, Rex Grossman at that time.
- 44:50Speaker 1: I mean, things were dire in the late aughts in Chicago,
- 44:55Speaker 1: for those who remember. Some Jay Cutler. He had some
- 44:57Speaker 1: prime Jay Cutler years back there. But the Titans have
- 45:01Speaker 1: been rough. But now he's going to the best quarterback
- 45:04Speaker 1: he's ever had. And likewise, Jaden Daniels needs him. If
- 45:09Speaker 1: you look at Jaden Daniels' receiver room, Who is it
- 45:11Speaker 1: that you really trust there? You've got a couple. You've
- 45:14Speaker 1: got Terry McLaurin. You've got Stefan Diggs. They're guys who've
- 45:17Speaker 1: been great in your 2021 fantasy leagues. They were tremendous.
- 45:22Speaker 1: But they're all got a little bit of gray up
- 45:25Speaker 1: under the helmet. And I don't know. In some ways,
- 45:28Speaker 1: Chica Congos is pretty high on the pecking order of
- 45:32Speaker 1: receivers that I like on this team right now. So
- 45:36Speaker 1: he is listed as the number 19 tight end. And
- 45:39Speaker 1: I'll tell you a couple of years ago, I didn't
- 45:40Speaker 1: really think much of Chika Kongo. I didn't think he
- 45:42Speaker 1: could do much, but I think the thing that has
- 45:44Speaker 1: held him back from prominence in fantasy is that he's
- 45:48Speaker 1: only averaging two touchdowns a year. That's because he was
- 45:50Speaker 1: a Titan. I think when he's with the, the Washington commanders,
- 45:55Speaker 1: he's going to get some red zone opportunities and we're
- 45:58Speaker 1: going to get a lot more fantasy points at him.
- 46:01Speaker 1: So give me Chika Kongo. CK, I think you agree
- 46:04Speaker 1: with me on this one. Don't you? Oh, I do.
- 46:07Speaker 2: He was almost, I almost put him as my tight
- 46:09Speaker 2: end that we were going to talk about here too.
- 46:10Speaker 2: A lot of the same reasons you said I did not.
- 46:12Speaker 2: That was a great poll with the Greg Olson, by
- 46:14Speaker 2: the way. But my, my recommendation would have been, we've
- 46:17Speaker 2: seen Jane Daniels was hurt most of last season. So
- 46:19Speaker 2: I'm just kind of writing that one off, but Jane
- 46:21Speaker 2: Daniels rookie season, Zach Hertz was awesome. Zach Hertz was
- 46:24Speaker 2: great with Jane Daniels as a rookie, 91 targets, 66
- 46:26Speaker 2: catches for 674 yards and seven touchdowns. That's awesome. almost
- 46:32Speaker 2: assuredly a top 10 tight end. If he can match
- 46:34Speaker 2: anywhere close to that, like you said, the touchdowns aren't
- 46:36Speaker 2: there right now, but everything else we've seen from Chigakonko
- 46:39Speaker 2: in his first couple of years in the league here
- 46:41Speaker 2: with some pretty bad quarterback play in the Titans, whether
- 46:44Speaker 2: that's Will Levis or Cam Ward has not been very
- 46:47Speaker 2: good for two years yet. And so he still found
- 46:51Speaker 2: a way to be more like a streamer right now
- 46:53Speaker 2: in tight end. But like you said, around 500 yards
- 46:55Speaker 2: and on about 50 ish catches, that's not bad. And
- 46:59Speaker 2: if we get just a little bit more, touchdown volume
- 47:01Speaker 2: out of him. Yeah. I think he can be a
- 47:03Speaker 2: top 10 tight end. So I am very much in
- 47:05Speaker 2: agreement on this one with you.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Yeah. Chica Congo be there, be square. All right. CK.
- 47:11Speaker 1: That's been a great tour around some of the guys
- 47:13Speaker 1: that were high on. You're doing cool things out there.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Why don't you let people know how they can follow
- 47:18Speaker 1: your work?
- 47:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I do a lot of cool things out there.
- 47:20Speaker 2: It seems like you can follow me on the Twitter
- 47:23Speaker 2: at C O P I E P S. I try
- 47:25Speaker 2: to tweet as much stuff out as I can now
- 47:27Speaker 2: when I do it, but for football content and, You
- 47:30Speaker 2: can hear on, I don't know if we're doing it
- 47:33Speaker 2: live this year or not, but we did a few
- 47:35Speaker 2: shows live in the off season. We just finished a mailbag,
- 47:36Speaker 2: but on Wednesday nights or otherwise it'll be on YouTube
- 47:39Speaker 2: and podcasts on Thursday, you can listen to the fantasy
- 47:43Speaker 2: six pack hour where I talk football with show bond
- 47:46Speaker 2: and AJ Applegarth. And on Sunday nights, I do think
- 47:49Speaker 2: this one will be live. I'm writing the waiver article
- 47:52Speaker 2: and we'll do the 20 minute, 25 minute live waiver show.
- 47:56Speaker 2: If you have like waiver questions, uh, On Sunday nights
- 47:58Speaker 2: on YouTube, you can hop in, found out the Fantasy
- 48:00Speaker 2: Six Pack YouTube channel. I'll be on that on Sunday nights.
- 48:04Speaker 2: On Saturday and Sunday, I write the DFS article for
- 48:07Speaker 2: Fantasy Baseball on Fantasy Pros. I do a streaming pitchers article,
- 48:14Speaker 2: which I'll probably do through the end of the regular season.
- 48:16Speaker 2: That comes out on weekends. And I think that's pretty
- 48:20Speaker 2: much it. I do college. I'm going to do some
- 48:21Speaker 2: more college football stuff here coming up probably at least
- 48:23Speaker 2: once a month, if not twice a month with Bogman
- 48:26Speaker 2: for fantasy pros and Seth. So yeah, a lot, but
- 48:30Speaker 2: I think that's pretty much all of it. Just follow
- 48:31Speaker 2: the Twitter. I try to get everything out there. C-O-P-I-E-P-S.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Dang.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Yes.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Outstanding. People definitely need to be following you, CK. And,
- 48:40Speaker 1: I'll be following you just because I'll be probably following
- 48:43Speaker 1: you in the standings in multiple of our leagues, but
- 48:46Speaker 1: we'll see how that turns out this year. We got
- 48:47Speaker 1: a lot of matchups ahead. Yeah. All right. Thank you
- 48:50Speaker 1: so much for coming on CK and good luck with
- 48:52Speaker 1: this coming year. My biggest regret this year is I'm
- 48:54Speaker 1: not playing college fantasy football. That's the biggest regret I
- 48:57Speaker 1: have in my life. I'm okay. But, but I am
- 48:59Speaker 1: definitely going to be following some college football and following
- 49:01Speaker 1: your work. So thanks for coming on, man.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Anytime you ask.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Hope everybody enjoyed that episode. I love having CK on.
- 49:16Speaker 1: He's a very smart guy. You should definitely read his stuff.
- 49:19Speaker 1: He's just a good guy to socialize with, hang out with.
- 49:22Speaker 1: And I think you would enjoy actually following his work
- 49:27Speaker 1: and then also following this podcast. You can keep up
- 49:29Speaker 1: with me. If you're into fantasy hockey, I mentioned that
- 49:33Speaker 1: at the beginning, fantasy hockey life, we're just getting through
- 49:36Speaker 1: with the 32 team previews. Now our show's not really
- 49:39Speaker 1: lined up For people who are just starting in hockey,
- 49:41Speaker 1: I'll be honest, we get into kind of some deep
- 49:44Speaker 1: stuff and some prospects and all that. But if you're
- 49:47Speaker 1: into an NHL team, we've got great beat writers on.
- 49:50Speaker 1: We did previews of all 32 teams that are probably
- 49:54Speaker 1: a bit more accessible. And we just have a good time.
- 49:57Speaker 1: So Victor Nunez and myself, Fantasy Hockey Live, go check
- 50:00Speaker 1: that out. You can also check me out on social media,
- 50:03Speaker 1: DYN Sports Life or Blue Sky Jesse Sevier. Thank you, everybody,
- 50:07Speaker 1: for listening. Until next time, good luck in all your
- 50:10Speaker 1: Dynasty Fantasy leagues.
