- 0:12- Welcome to the divine five one five podcast.
- 0:16- Here is today's prayer.
- 0:23- Hello, and welcome to daily prayers with Valerie
- 0:27- Rocha.
- 0:28- Today's prayer topic is addressing how to take
- 0:31- the next step.
- 0:32- Scripture text comes from Psalms one nineteen one
- 0:35- zero five and says, your word is a
- 0:37- lamp for my feet, a light on my
- 0:40- path.
- 0:41- Well,
- 0:42- the problem
- 0:45- is that sometimes we know what we need
- 0:48- to do.
- 0:50- We're just afraid to do it,
- 0:53- whether it's making the call or start the
- 0:56- application or
- 0:57- have the conversation,
- 1:00- create the boundary,
- 1:02- or
- 1:03- begin again.
- 1:05- We have prayed about it
- 1:07- repeatedly,
- 1:08- but eventually prayer leads us toward action.
- 1:13- But we struggle because we want certainty before
- 1:16- obedience.
- 1:18- But faith often works in the opposite order.
- 1:22- God gives enough light for the next step,
- 1:24- and we discover more as we move.
- 1:28- And prayer helps us make room
- 1:31- by
- 1:32- helping us distinguish between waiting on God and
- 1:36- delaying because we're afraid.
- 1:39- Yes.
- 1:41- He has already shown us what we need
- 1:44- to do.
- 1:46- And, no, we won't need another sign.
- 1:50- We just may need some courage.
- 1:53- That being said, let's go to the throne.
- 1:58- Father god, give us courage to act on
- 2:00- what you've already shown us.
- 2:04- Keep fear from disguising itself as waiting.
- 2:08- Guide our steps through your word, father, and
- 2:11- help us move forward in faith,
- 2:13- and we will bless you in Jesus' name.
- 2:17- Well,
- 2:19- what step
- 2:20- are you praying about that you've been postponing?
- 2:25- We want to encourage you to take one
- 2:27- action.
- 2:29- And if this prayer gave you the push
- 2:31- you needed, share it with someone else who
- 2:33- may be standing at their own next step.
- 2:36- And remember,
- 2:37- you don't need enough light for 10 steps.
- 2:41- Just walk in the light you have.
