- 0:00Speaker 1: Toby and Chili Mornings on Demand on ninety seven point
- 0:04Speaker 1: one wash Out.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Good morning, It's Toby and Chili ninety seven point one
- 0:07Speaker 2: wash FM. I'm kidd oshe mark today October twenty third,
- 0:11Speaker 2: twenty twenty five as a major milestone in our relationship.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Chiliamar, Yes it is, and I'm it's very bittersweet. See
- 0:19Speaker 3: you're not.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought.
- 0:21Speaker 3: I'd be happier, to be quite honest. So our headphones
- 0:25Speaker 3: have to have an adapter or like a headphone jack
- 0:28Speaker 3: so that kid can plug into the equipment here. And
- 0:32Speaker 3: he never had this special little piece of even though
- 0:35Speaker 3: it's not that expensive.
- 0:37Speaker 4: No, it's like maybe three dollars on Amazon.
- 0:40Speaker 3: And he would borrow an extra one of mine, and
- 0:42Speaker 3: every morning I would have it there for you, or
- 0:43Speaker 3: you would ask me for it, and then you'd give
- 0:45Speaker 3: it back. And this went on for years, for really
- 0:48Speaker 3: long time, and just now you gave mine back and said,
- 0:52Speaker 3: I will no longer need that.
- 0:54Speaker 4: I no longer need your support.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I have my own.
- 0:58Speaker 4: And I thought, oh, the Amazon truck delivered it yesterday.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Had I known it was so easy to buy on Amazon,
- 1:03Speaker 2: I would have done it a long time ago.
- 1:05Speaker 3: No, But I think a part of you liked I
- 1:07Speaker 3: liked you. See, it's the little gift that you would
- 1:09Speaker 3: get in the morning, my little headphone jack on your
- 1:12Speaker 3: on your side of the thing.
- 1:13Speaker 2: And if you have a morning routine similar to something
- 1:15Speaker 2: like that, when you walk into the office or something,
- 1:17Speaker 2: it's just like that.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Every day. I knew I had to ask Chili for
- 1:20Speaker 4: the headphone jacks.
- 1:20Speaker 3: It would maybe be like when a coworker has a
- 1:24Speaker 3: coffee waiting for you, Yeah, and then they just stop.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Well, we'll see how this goes for us. Maybe we'll
- 1:29Speaker 2: have to replace it with something else we could, But
- 1:32Speaker 2: for now that stage of our relationship is over. Until
- 1:36Speaker 2: I probably lose it, I'll have to ask you again.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Sure I haven't, all right? Du Chili is working on
- 1:41Speaker 2: top stories on this Thursday morning. That's coming up next.
- 1:43Speaker 3: In case you missed it, Commander's quarterback Jade and Daniel's
- 1:46Speaker 3: going to be missing Monday night's game against the Chiefs.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I've got more on that and just a few as
- 1:51Speaker 3: Toby and Chili in the Morning continues on ninety seven
- 1:54Speaker 3: point one wash Effo Top Stories Top of the Hour
- 2:00Speaker 3: Top Stories presented by Celsius Energy Drinks. The federal government
- 2:04Speaker 3: shut down shows no sign of ending, with no clear
- 2:07Speaker 3: path forward at this point. Yesterday, the Senate once again
- 2:10Speaker 3: failed to advance a House approved bill aimed at reopening
- 2:13Speaker 3: the government. Fire investigators say that two major house fires
- 2:17Speaker 3: in Labn County this week were caused by preventable issues
- 2:21Speaker 3: and unattended candles. Sparked a four hundred and fifty thousand
- 2:25Speaker 3: dollars blaze in Alday on Monday night and that displaced
- 2:28Speaker 3: a family of three, while a clogged chimney led to
- 2:31Speaker 3: a four hundred thousand dollars fire in Perceville early Tuesday.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Maryland is offering free Mark train and commuter bus rides
- 2:39Speaker 3: to federal workers who were required to report during the
- 2:43Speaker 3: government shutdowns, so employees can ride at no cost by
- 2:47Speaker 3: showing their federal ID with service covering areas like Baltimore, Perryville,
- 2:51Speaker 3: and Martinsburg, West Virginia. Washington Commander's quarterback Jaden Daniels is
- 2:56Speaker 3: going to be missing the upcoming game against the Kansas
- 2:59Speaker 3: City Chiefs because of that right hamstring injury, so it
- 3:03Speaker 3: was announced that backup QB Marcus Sameriotta is going to
- 3:07Speaker 3: be starting in his place. Spirit Halloween's festive sibling spirit,
- 3:12Speaker 3: Christmas is going to be popping up soon, just weeks
- 3:14Speaker 3: after a Halloween wraps up. The temporary Holiday Store plans
- 3:18Speaker 3: to open dozens of locations throughout the Northeast, including a
- 3:21Speaker 3: new one in Waldorf, Maryland. And a new study shows
- 3:25Speaker 3: depression and anxiety are rising among US construction workers, with
- 3:30Speaker 3: sixty four percent of them reporting struggles in the past year.
- 3:33Speaker 3: That's up from fifty four percent. Researchers cite long hours,
- 3:37Speaker 3: physical strain, and job insecurity as key contributors to the
- 3:41Speaker 3: growing mental health crisis in that industry. Forecast today partly
- 3:45Speaker 3: cloudy and breezy, bit cooler than yesterday. Sixty two the
- 3:48Speaker 3: high right now forty seven in Aspen Hill.
- 3:50Speaker 2: All right, thanks Chili, I'm kiddo'she coming up next. Sometimes
- 3:53Speaker 2: we all just need a little help getting going in
- 3:56Speaker 2: the morning. So that's why we give you the morning mindset.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Chili's going to share an inspirational quote with all of
- 4:00Speaker 2: us to get us through this Thursday together.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Next.
- 4:03Speaker 2: If Thursday's off to a great start, it's Toby and
- 4:06Speaker 2: Chili ninety seven point one WASHEFM, I'm kiddoshe time for
- 4:09Speaker 2: our morning mindset.
- 4:10Speaker 3: This quote is by Walt Whitman, who said, re examine
- 4:14Speaker 3: all that you've been told, dismiss that which insults your soul.
- 4:19Speaker 3: This really encourages us to think for ourselves and not
- 4:22Speaker 3: just accept everything we hear or that we're taught. It's
- 4:25Speaker 3: about trusting your own instincts and your values and protecting
- 4:29Speaker 3: your inner self from anything that feels harmful or disrespectful.
- 4:33Speaker 3: It really is a call for all of us to
- 4:36Speaker 3: be thoughtful, open minded, and true to who you really are.
- 4:40Speaker 3: So again, Walt Whitman said, re examine all that you've
- 4:43Speaker 3: been told and dismiss that which insults your soul. And
- 4:48Speaker 3: you can find that quote on the Toby and Chili
- 4:51Speaker 3: page at waschfm dot com.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I have really connected with all of your morning mind
- 4:55Speaker 2: sets this week Chili. By the way, Chili posts them
- 4:57Speaker 2: on our Instagram page as well at Washefm.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Just search wash Fm on Instagram.
- 5:01Speaker 2: All right, coming up next here, if you were moving
- 5:04Speaker 2: this weekend, when would you start packing? The movers are
- 5:07Speaker 2: showing up at our house on Sunday? Can you guess
- 5:10Speaker 2: how far I am? The answer may surprise you, and
- 5:14Speaker 2: I may need your help. I'll share the details next
- 5:18Speaker 2: ninety seven point one Wash FM with Toby and Chile
- 5:21Speaker 2: in the morning. It's kiddoshe if you were moving this weekend,
- 5:25Speaker 2: when would you start packing. The reason we're asking this
- 5:27Speaker 2: question is because I have movers showing up to our apartment,
- 5:30Speaker 2: our one bedroom apartment in DC on Sunday for a
- 5:34Speaker 2: big move, and Chili, I have not yet started packing.
- 5:38Speaker 2: You have not, not a single box has been packed.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Oh no, no, no, no, no no. That is not
- 5:44Speaker 3: a good thing. You've got to start today. And I
- 5:47Speaker 3: don't understand why you haven't started though.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Well, the boxes only first arrived yesterday that I ordered
- 5:53Speaker 2: on Amazon.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Did I wait too long to order boxes?
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yes, okay, you could have gone to a home depot
- 5:58Speaker 3: and pick them up in two seconds. That's okay.
- 6:00Speaker 2: So tell me what you think I should be doing
- 6:03Speaker 2: and where I should be at this point. Where would
- 6:05Speaker 2: you be at this point in a move if you
- 6:07Speaker 2: were moving, says.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Before movers showed up, everything except for the okay, a
- 6:12Speaker 3: few clothes I would still have in the house, and
- 6:15Speaker 3: ninety seven percent of the kitchen would have been done
- 6:17Speaker 3: already for sure. For sure, only like a couple of
- 6:20Speaker 3: plates for us to need the fridge would still have
- 6:23Speaker 3: stuff in it.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Yeah, but otherwise most of your house would be packed up.
- 6:26Speaker 3: It's ready red deed for the movers. Here's the thing.
- 6:29Speaker 3: It seems very daunting, and I get it. Andyone who's
- 6:31Speaker 3: ever moved knows it's overwhelming. And one of the things
- 6:34Speaker 3: the mover told me and they helped talk me through it,
- 6:36Speaker 3: is like, first, you take everything off the walls and
- 6:38Speaker 3: you secure those frames. Right, that's the You would have
- 6:41Speaker 3: done that a long time ago, but you haven't.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Fine.
- 6:43Speaker 3: And then what I thought would be the hardest was
- 6:47Speaker 3: the closets. But that's the easiest because you can literally
- 6:49Speaker 3: just take the stuff off of the hangers and with
- 6:51Speaker 3: the hangers put them in a special box that they
- 6:54Speaker 3: have for things that you can hang. The hardest is
- 6:56Speaker 3: always the kitchen. You think it's not going to be
- 6:59Speaker 3: that big of a deal, but oh my god, every
- 7:00Speaker 3: little thing has to be secured because they can chip
- 7:03Speaker 3: or break. So your kitchen is going to be the
- 7:06Speaker 3: most daunting and you really need to start that now.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Okay today, So today when I get home from work, Yes,
- 7:12Speaker 2: I need to get the pictures off the wall.
- 7:14Speaker 4: I have to start packing. Yes, owners are coming.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Where do you go.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I don't know if this helped or made this worse,
- 7:22Speaker 2: but I am a little stressed out.
- 7:23Speaker 4: We'll have an update tomorrow for you. Okay.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Coming up next though, we're working on top stories for
- 7:28Speaker 2: you on this Thursday morning, plus more music to get
- 7:31Speaker 2: you going. It's Toby and Chilly in the Morning ninety
- 7:33Speaker 2: seven point one wash FM. So Sarah McLaughlin is coming
- 7:37Speaker 2: to the Anthem and we'd love to send you to
- 7:39Speaker 2: that show for free.
- 7:40Speaker 3: All you have to do is listen to our nearly
- 7:42Speaker 3: impossible question and get it right and we'll be playing
- 7:45Speaker 3: that right around six twenty this morning.
- 7:47Speaker 2: We appreciate you waking up with Toby and Chili on
- 7:49Speaker 2: ninety seven point one wash FM.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Ninety seven point one WASHFM, Washington, an iHeartRadio station.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Coming up on Top Stories, Top of the Hour.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Safety leaders say Howard County's school bus cameras are catching
- 8:04Speaker 3: a surprising number of drivers ignoring their stop signs.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Chile has that story and more coming up in Top
- 8:10Speaker 2: Stories and kidoshe with Toby and Chili in the Morning
- 8:13Speaker 2: Harley Clappy Breezy Today in sixty two. We also have
- 8:15Speaker 2: the music to start your Thursday. Thank you for being
- 8:18Speaker 2: here ninety seven point.
- 8:19Speaker 4: One wash FM.
- 8:22Speaker 5: Top Stories Top of the Hour.
- 8:25Speaker 3: The government shut down continues after another failed vote in
- 8:28Speaker 3: the Senate yesterday. It all comes after Oregon Democrat Jeff
- 8:31Speaker 3: Merkley spoke on the floor for over twenty two hours.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Safety leaders say that Howard Counties school bus cameras are
- 8:37Speaker 3: catching a surprising number of drivers ignoring stop signs. Over
- 8:41Speaker 3: eight thousand citations were issued last school year alone. That
- 8:46Speaker 3: is more than forty drivers a day that are illegally
- 8:49Speaker 3: passing stopped school buses. The DC Council is considering a
- 8:53Speaker 3: bill to titan rules on ticket resale. Supporters say it
- 8:57Speaker 3: would stop price gouging and ensure artists get fair pace,
- 9:00Speaker 3: while companies like stub hub argue that it would hurt
- 9:03Speaker 3: efforts to reduce fraud, but no date has been set
- 9:06Speaker 3: to vote on that. Washington Commander's quarterback Jaden Daniels is
- 9:10Speaker 3: going to be sitting out Monday's game against the Kansas
- 9:12Speaker 3: City Chiefs due to a right hamstring injury that he
- 9:15Speaker 3: suffered last week. Backup Marcus Mariotta is set to start
- 9:20Speaker 3: in his place. Amazon Prime Video is gonna be making
- 9:23Speaker 3: its NFL Black Friday game between the Bears and the
- 9:26Speaker 3: Eagles available to stream for free worldwide. It'll mark the
- 9:31Speaker 3: first time that an NFL game on Prime Video is
- 9:34Speaker 3: available to stream to non subscribers. And according to a
- 9:38Speaker 3: recent survey, one in three people believe that they could
- 9:41Speaker 3: actually survive a horror movie. Forty two percent admit that
- 9:45Speaker 3: they would likely be the first one to die, but
- 9:47Speaker 3: fourteen percent think that they could outsmart the killer using
- 9:50Speaker 3: their logic. Now nearly have to agree that the top
- 9:53Speaker 3: survival rule in any horror movie is quite simple. Never
- 9:57Speaker 3: split up. I thought it was never run up stairs. Okay,
- 10:01Speaker 3: there you're stuck. Okay, exactly. Forecast today partly cloppity and breezy.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Highs around sixty two right now forty seven in Annandale.
- 10:09Speaker 2: All Right, I'm kiddo'she coming up next. Wait until you
- 10:11Speaker 2: hear what one industry is proposing for a typical work week.
- 10:15Speaker 2: It completely disrupts the nine to five model, but not
- 10:19Speaker 2: in a good way.
- 10:20Speaker 4: We'll share that with you.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Coming up next, Toby and Chilly in the Morning, ninety
- 10:24Speaker 2: seven point one, Wash FM.
- 10:26Speaker 4: I'm kiddo'she.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Wait until you hear what one industry is proposing for
- 10:30Speaker 2: a typical work week.
- 10:32Speaker 3: It's called the nine to nine to six work trend,
- 10:36Speaker 3: and this is happening in the tech industry. I think
- 10:39Speaker 3: that's important to point out. What they're saying is work
- 10:43Speaker 3: from nine am to nine pm, six days a week.
- 10:48Speaker 3: That's a seventy hour work week.
- 10:50Speaker 6: Wow.
- 10:51Speaker 3: And a lot of these AI startups are normalizing these
- 10:55Speaker 3: extreme work hours, and they explicitly war job candidates of
- 11:01Speaker 3: these seventy hour work weeks, and they're demanding dedication from
- 11:04Speaker 3: its employees because that's how they're going to stay competitive.
- 11:07Speaker 3: You've got to put in the work, You've got to
- 11:09Speaker 3: put in the you know, hustle. And of course there
- 11:12Speaker 3: are a lot of experts who are saying you're going
- 11:15Speaker 3: to create tremendous burnout and you're not gonna This is
- 11:18Speaker 3: not going to be good ultimately for productivity.
- 11:21Speaker 4: No, I wouldn't wand to seeing the paycheck of this
- 11:23Speaker 4: nine nine sixteen.
- 11:24Speaker 2: If it's a big paycheck, maybe I'd sacrifice my life
- 11:27Speaker 2: for it.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Never, I would never consider it. And it's kind of
- 11:29Speaker 3: just discouraging for me because you and I are part
- 11:32Speaker 3: of the generation where we work to live right. You
- 11:36Speaker 3: go to work sick, right, you don't take your lunch breaks. Yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 3: and it's what happened to us. We're a mess. Yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 3: and I like that the younger generation is creating more
- 11:44Speaker 3: work life balance boundaries. So if you were to ask
- 11:48Speaker 3: me what I would love to have as a work week,
- 11:51Speaker 3: I would say I would work five days a week,
- 11:53Speaker 3: but I want to work eight to three, all right.
- 11:55Speaker 4: So that's like a thirty five hour work week.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Sure, and I don't need a whole hour for lunch.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I could just eat a seal it at my desk.
- 12:01Speaker 3: What about you, I.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Would do I would do the twelve hour work day,
- 12:05Speaker 2: four days a week, and then I get three weeks.
- 12:08Speaker 4: I get my full weekends.
- 12:10Speaker 3: So nine to nine, four days a week.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Yeah, you and I aren't working in the same place.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Shelby and Chili's nearly impossible question.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Think of how nice those long weekends would be, all right?
- 12:19Speaker 4: What is today's question?
- 12:20Speaker 3: Forty percent of adults say they would give up this
- 12:24Speaker 3: before they give up their phone. What is it?
- 12:27Speaker 6: All right?
- 12:28Speaker 2: Eight six six nine two seven four three six one
- 12:32Speaker 2: or eight six six wash FM one to play for
- 12:35Speaker 2: Sarah McLaughlin tickets coming to the Anthem thanks to our
- 12:38Speaker 2: friends at Live Nation.
- 12:39Speaker 4: What's that question again.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Forty percent of adults say they would give up this
- 12:43Speaker 3: before they gave up their phone. What is it?
- 12:46Speaker 2: Eight six six nine two seven four three six one
- 12:49Speaker 2: The answer and more music coming up next.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Shelby and Chilli's Nearly Impossible Question, And I'm Kiddoshee and
- 12:57Speaker 1: for Toby.
- 12:57Speaker 2: We're playing for tickets to see Sarah mcgloch then at
- 13:00Speaker 2: the Anthem on November sixteenth, thanks to our friends at
- 13:03Speaker 2: Live Nation.
- 13:04Speaker 4: What is today's question?
- 13:06Speaker 3: Forty percent of adults say they would give up this
- 13:09Speaker 3: before they gave up their phone.
- 13:11Speaker 2: What is it all right? Eight sixty six nine two
- 13:14Speaker 2: seven four three six one.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Good morning, Patrick, thanks for listening to us in Germantown.
- 13:19Speaker 3: How are you today?
- 13:20Speaker 4: I'm doing great?
- 13:21Speaker 3: That is awesome. We're trying to make you better. You've
- 13:24Speaker 3: got the question, what do you think the answer might be?
- 13:27Speaker 4: I would say they're television?
- 13:30Speaker 3: Would you yourself be willing to give up your TV
- 13:34Speaker 3: before you ever gave up your phone?
- 13:36Speaker 6: Oh?
- 13:36Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 13:38Speaker 2: I wouldn't have said that maybe five years ago, but
- 13:40Speaker 2: I'm with you, Patrick Patrick.
- 13:43Speaker 3: That's an excellent guest. It is the correct to answer.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Forty percent of adults say they would give up their
- 13:48Speaker 3: TV before they ever gave up their phone. Congrats, Oh thanks.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Got the Sarah McLaughlin tickets. You're gonna go see here
- 13:55Speaker 2: at the Anthem. It's going to be a great show.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Oh looking forward to it. And we'll have.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Another pair of tickets again for you tomorrow morning, same time,
- 14:01Speaker 2: right here with Toby and Chile in the morning, Chili's
- 14:04Speaker 2: putting together top stories. We're lining up more music as well.
- 14:07Speaker 2: We've got you covered on ninety seven point one wash FM,
- 14:10Speaker 2: and we are getting excited for our best of the
- 14:13Speaker 2: Eighties weekend, which kicks off tomorrow right here on ninety
- 14:15Speaker 2: seven point one wash FM with Toby and Chili in
- 14:18Speaker 2: the morning.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I'm kiddoshe and we want you to nominate a local
- 14:22Speaker 3: public school teacher for a chance for them to win
- 14:24Speaker 3: five thousand dollars to our those much needed classrooms supplies.
- 14:28Speaker 3: It's part of our Iheartradios Thank a Teacher, powered by
- 14:31Speaker 3: donors Choose.

- 14:35Speaker 2: when you get to work, just go to our website

- 15:11Speaker 3: The President announced plans to demolish the entire White House
- 15:15Speaker 3: East Wing to build a new ninety thousand square foot ballroom.
- 15:18Speaker 3: He downplayed the historic significance of it, calling it a
- 15:22Speaker 3: very small structure that was never thought of as being
- 15:25Speaker 3: much well. The TSA is closing its Lost and Found
- 15:28Speaker 3: service at Reagan National Airport because of the federal government
- 15:31Speaker 3: shut down. Travelers are now being asked to file claims online,
- 15:35Speaker 3: and the TSA has apologized for the inconvenience. Fire investigators
- 15:39Speaker 3: say that two major house firers in Louden County this
- 15:42Speaker 3: week were caused by preventable issues and unattended candles sparked
- 15:46Speaker 3: a four hundred and fifty thousand dollar blaze and alday
- 15:50Speaker 3: on Monday night, and they displaced a family of three,
- 15:53Speaker 3: while a clogged chimney led to a four hundred thousand
- 15:56Speaker 3: dollar fire in Perceval early Tuesday. BI is offering a
- 16:01Speaker 3: five hundred thousand dollars reward for information that leads the

- 16:17Speaker 3: January fifth, of twenty twenty one. Virginians are casting early
- 16:22Speaker 3: ballots in record numbers this year, with more than seven
- 16:25Speaker 3: hundred and fifty thousand people having already voted. That marks
- 16:28Speaker 3: a new high for a non presidential election year. Early
- 16:32Speaker 3: voting the lend November first, a head of election day
- 16:35Speaker 3: November fourth, as the state chooses a new governor and
- 16:38Speaker 3: lieutenant governor.
- 16:40Speaker 6: Now.
- 16:40Speaker 3: According to a recent study, Columbia, Maryland has just been
- 16:44Speaker 3: named the best place for the US for women to live.
- 16:46Speaker 3: That's all thanks to high median earnings, low poverty rates,
- 16:50Speaker 3: and strong health status. Women are also ranked in Colombia
- 16:55Speaker 3: the most physically active in the entire country. Forecast today
- 16:58Speaker 3: partly cloudy and breeze hides around sixty two right now
- 17:02Speaker 3: forty seven in Ashbourn.
- 17:04Speaker 2: All right, and I'm kidd o'she Coming up next. A
- 17:06Speaker 2: new study says most of us have four negative thoughts
- 17:09Speaker 2: about this one thing each day. There's a good chance
- 17:12Speaker 2: you've already done it at least once today. What do
- 17:14Speaker 2: you think it is? We're going to share the new
- 17:16Speaker 2: study with you and what we can all learn from this.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Coming up next.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Good morning, It's Toby and Tilly in the Morning, ninety
- 17:22Speaker 2: seven point one wash FM.
- 17:24Speaker 4: I'm kidd O'Shea. If you looked in the mirror this
- 17:26Speaker 4: morning and.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Had a negative thought about what you saw, guess what,
- 17:29Speaker 2: You're not alone.
- 17:31Speaker 3: No, I think the average person has four negative thoughts
- 17:36Speaker 3: about their bodies a day. Oh man, why aren't we
- 17:39Speaker 3: nicer to ourselves? Sixty nine percent of Americans first notice
- 17:43Speaker 3: something they want to fix when they look in the mirror.
- 17:46Speaker 3: So we're all very similar in this. Like, I think
- 17:49Speaker 3: you make assumptions that, oh, that person looks so confident.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Everybody has an insecurity one percent. So I gotta know,
- 17:55Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever asked you. I don't know
- 17:58Speaker 3: the answer to this, what is your instat security?
- 18:00Speaker 2: I would just like to say. We get up at
- 18:02Speaker 2: three o'clock in the morning for this job. So sometimes
- 18:04Speaker 2: when I'm looking in the mirror, I'm like, boy, oh, boy,
- 18:07Speaker 2: do you look rough?
- 18:08Speaker 6: Oh?
- 18:08Speaker 3: Is there any specific things?
- 18:10Speaker 2: So I used to have a huge insecurity about my
- 18:12Speaker 2: nose because I have a bigger nose and I have
- 18:14Speaker 2: a little bit of the hump that you get or whatever.
- 18:17Speaker 2: But I totally have embraced it now and it's like
- 18:19Speaker 2: part of who I am.
- 18:20Speaker 5: It is.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 18:22Speaker 2: The profile shots not the best, but head on it
- 18:24Speaker 2: looks fine.
- 18:25Speaker 4: What about you?
- 18:26Speaker 3: I think typically and as the survey found your weight
- 18:30Speaker 3: right like or where I carry the weight. It's not
- 18:32Speaker 3: so much the number on the scale, but my mid
- 18:34Speaker 3: section is usually where I carry it. But I'm going
- 18:36Speaker 3: to tell you this, and I'm not kidding when I
- 18:38Speaker 3: say I am now, at the age of fifty three,
- 18:42Speaker 3: more secure than I have ever been about right myself
- 18:46Speaker 3: because honestly, I give less. Yeah, you know what, as
- 18:50Speaker 3: I get older, I think for me, being healthy is
- 18:53Speaker 3: the most important part. And the shell is the shell.
- 18:56Speaker 3: It is what it is.
- 18:57Speaker 2: So I love that let's share our insecurities morning, since
- 19:01Speaker 2: we all have them, and then look at the positive
- 19:04Speaker 2: side of things, that we're all together. So we'd love
- 19:06Speaker 2: to have you joined the conversation right now eight sixty
- 19:08Speaker 2: six wash FM one eight six six nine two seven

- 19:14Speaker 2: coming up in just a few minutes, but first we've
- 19:17Speaker 2: got a crazy first date on the way next.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Okay, So Grace in Bethesda said she was on a
- 19:21Speaker 3: date with the guy. Things for going so well until
- 19:25Speaker 3: he asked to get a closer look at her shoes,
- 19:29Speaker 3: and boy did things take a turn. You've got to
- 19:32Speaker 3: hear the story that's on the way next with Toby
- 19:35Speaker 3: and Chili in the morning A ninety seven point one
- 19:37Speaker 3: wash FM.
- 19:42Speaker 1: It's Toby and Chili's crazy first date in.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Bethesda, Grace, we cannot wait to hear this story. What happened?
- 19:50Speaker 6: So I went on a date with this guy who
- 19:52Speaker 6: seemed really nice and sweet. He had a very calm
- 19:55Speaker 6: demeanor and this real gentleman like he would open the
- 19:58Speaker 6: door for me and we connected with well. And so
- 20:01Speaker 6: after dinner he asked if I want to go take
- 20:03Speaker 6: a walk at a park nearby. So I said, sure,
- 20:05Speaker 6: can we drive to the park And when we get there,
- 20:07Speaker 6: before getting out of the car, the guy turns to
- 20:09Speaker 6: me and he says, can I see your shoe? I
- 20:11Speaker 6: just want to see what kind of shoes you're wearing.
- 20:13Speaker 6: I'm like, they're just playing black flats, but okay, whatever,
- 20:15Speaker 6: So I just take off my shoe and I hand
- 20:17Speaker 6: it to him, and he immediately buries his face to
- 20:19Speaker 6: my shoe and he starts smelling it, like very aggressively,
- 20:23Speaker 6: like his eyes are fully closed and he's just smiling
- 20:26Speaker 6: and like sniffing. Meanwhile, I'm so disturbed, so I yell
- 20:28Speaker 6: at him to stop, but he wouldn't stop. So then
- 20:30Speaker 6: I reach over to try to get my shoe back,
- 20:33Speaker 6: but then he becomes more aggressive and he leans over
- 20:36Speaker 6: my seat, he grabs my foot, and then he starts
- 20:38Speaker 6: like rubbing his nose all over my foot. I start
- 20:41Speaker 6: taking and screaming. I'm like so disturbed. But then when
- 20:43Speaker 6: I look at his face, he's like in this complete
- 20:46Speaker 6: days like it's like he can't even.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Hear what I'm saying.
- 20:48Speaker 6: So basically what I did was just like I very
- 20:51Speaker 6: gently tried to push him away, and I started begging
- 20:53Speaker 6: for him to please take me home, and I think
- 20:55Speaker 6: he felt kind of bad, so thankfully, like he listened
- 20:59Speaker 6: to me and he reads it take me home like
- 21:01Speaker 6: the crazy thing is like after he started up the
- 21:03Speaker 6: car again, he just regained his composure, like completely and
- 21:07Speaker 6: just started driving and talking to me like as though
- 21:09Speaker 6: nothing had just happened. And then the next day he
- 21:11Speaker 6: texted me again as though nothing happened, And of course
- 21:14Speaker 6: I never spoke with him again.
- 21:16Speaker 3: I'm so glad he did not show up at your
- 21:18Speaker 3: doorstep because he knew where you lived if he took
- 21:21Speaker 3: you home.
- 21:21Speaker 6: Thankfully he got the message.
