- 0:00Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, lean in close. Because
- 0:05Speaker 1: I've come to tell you something that may shift the
- 0:08Speaker 1: way you see your waiting season. Sometimes life doesn't move
- 0:14Speaker 1: at the pace we expect. Sometimes the doors don't open
- 0:18Speaker 1: when we knock. Sometimes heaven goes silent and we start
- 0:23Speaker 1: to wonder, did God forget me? Did he abandon me?
- 0:27Speaker 1: But I stopped by to declare to somebody, God's pause
- 0:31Speaker 1: is not God's punishment. His delay is not his denial.
- 0:36Speaker 1: His silence does not mean he's absent. When God presses
- 0:41Speaker 1: pause in your life, it's because he's orchestrating something greater
- 0:46Speaker 1: than you can see. So don't despise the waiting. Don't
- 0:50Speaker 1: curse the silence because God's pause always has a purpose.
- 0:55Speaker 1: And if you can endure the pause, you'll step into
- 0:58Speaker 1: the promise. When we hear the word delay, something inside
- 1:03Speaker 1: us tightens. We live in a world of instant access,
- 1:07Speaker 1: instant messages, instant results. We are conditioned to believe that
- 1:13Speaker 1: if it doesn't happen now, it won't happen at all.
- 1:17Speaker 1: But the truth of the matter is that God does
- 1:20Speaker 1: not move according to man's clock, nor does he operate
- 1:23Speaker 1: on our impatience. Delay is not denial. The fact that
- 1:29Speaker 1: God has pressed pause on your request, your vision, or
- 1:33Speaker 1: your dream does not mean that heaven has stamped it
- 1:37Speaker 1: with rejection. It simply means the timing is not yet right,
- 1:42Speaker 1: the foundation is not yet firm, and the preparation is
- 1:45Speaker 1: not yet complete. Think about the farmer who plants a seed.
- 1:50Speaker 1: He does not expect a harvest overnight. He understands that time, soil,
- 1:55Speaker 1: and weather must all do their work before he sees
- 1:58Speaker 1: the fruit of his labor. When God delays, he is
- 2:03Speaker 1: not ignoring your prayers. He is cultivating the ground of
- 2:07Speaker 1: your life so that when the blessing comes, you will
- 2:11Speaker 1: have the capacity to hold it. If he gave it
- 2:14Speaker 1: to you too soon, you might mishandle it. If he
- 2:18Speaker 1: opened the door too early, you might walk in unprepared
- 2:22Speaker 1: and lose what was meant to last. Delay is God's
- 2:26Speaker 1: way of saying, I love you too much to give
- 2:30Speaker 1: you what you're asking for before you're ready to carry it.
- 2:34Speaker 1: So many of us confuse silence with absence. When the
- 2:39Speaker 1: heavens are quiet, when the answer doesn't come immediately, we
- 2:43Speaker 1: assume God has turned his face from us. But silence
- 2:48Speaker 1: is not rejection. Silence is strategy. God is often working
- 2:53Speaker 1: behind the scenes in ways you cannot see. Just because
- 2:56Speaker 1: the stage looks empty doesn't mean the actors aren't preparing backstage.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Your life may feel paused, but heaven is arranging things
- 3:06Speaker 1: for your good. What you thought was wasted time is
- 3:10Speaker 1: actually invested time. Every delay has divine intention stamped on it.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Look at Abraham and Sarah. God promised them a son,
- 3:20Speaker 1: but the fulfillment of that promise took years. In the delay,
- 3:25Speaker 1: doubt crept in, and they tried to manufacture the blessing
- 3:28Speaker 1: on their own terms. But God's promise was not denied,
- 3:33Speaker 1: only delayed until the fullness of time. The miracle of
- 3:37Speaker 1: Isaac came right on schedule, God's schedule. Delay teaches us patience,
- 3:43Speaker 1: strengthens our faith, and reminds us that God's word never
- 3:47Speaker 1: returns void. He may not come when you want him,
- 3:52Speaker 1: but he will always come right on time. And then
- 3:55Speaker 1: there's Joseph. He dreamed of greatness, of influence, of authority.
- 4:01Speaker 1: But instead of stepping directly into the palace, he was
- 4:05Speaker 1: thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, and locked in prison.
- 4:10Speaker 1: If you looked at his life in those moments, you
- 4:13Speaker 1: would have thought the dream was dead. But the delay
- 4:16Speaker 1: was not denial. It was preparation. Every pit taught him humility.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Every prison tested his faith. Every pause built the character
- 4:27Speaker 1: needed for the palace. When the moment came, Joseph was
- 4:32Speaker 1: not only ready to wear the crown, but to handle
- 4:35Speaker 1: the responsibility it carried. The delay positioned him for destiny.
- 4:40Speaker 1: We must learn to see delay differently. Delay is God's
- 4:45Speaker 1: way of stretching us, teaching us, and growing us into
- 4:49Speaker 1: who he has called us to be. It is in
- 4:52Speaker 1: the waiting that endurance is forged, in the silence that
- 4:55Speaker 1: faith is purified, in the pause that purpose is clarified.
- 5:01Speaker 1: If God answered every prayer immediately, you would never learn
- 5:05Speaker 1: to trust him. You would never grow in patience. You
- 5:09Speaker 1: would never lean on his wisdom. Delay teaches us to
- 5:13Speaker 1: surrender control and rely fully on his plan. Some of
- 5:17Speaker 1: you are frustrated because the job hasn't opened, the relationship
- 5:22Speaker 1: hasn't happened, the healing hasn't manifested, the breakthrough hasn't arrived.
- 5:29Speaker 1: But don't mistake the delay for denial. God is not
- 5:33Speaker 1: saying no. He is saying not yet. Not yet because
- 5:37Speaker 1: he's still preparing you. Not yet, because he's still aligning
- 5:42Speaker 1: the people and the places that will hold your blessing.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Not yet, because the promise is too big to be rushed.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Not yet, because the testimony is still being written. If
- 5:56Speaker 1: you could see what God sees, you would thank him
- 5:59Speaker 1: for the delay. You would realize he is protecting you
- 6:04Speaker 1: from opportunities that look good, but aren't good for you.
- 6:08Speaker 1: You would recognize that he is building resilience in you
- 6:12Speaker 1: for battles you don't even know are coming. You would
- 6:16Speaker 1: understand that the delay is shaping you into someone who
- 6:20Speaker 1: can steward the blessing without losing it. Denial says, this
- 6:25Speaker 1: will never happen. Delay says, it will happen. But in
- 6:30Speaker 1: due season, the Bible reminds us that those who wait
- 6:34Speaker 1: on the Lord shall renew their strength. Waiting is not
- 6:38Speaker 1: wasted when it's waiting on God. The delay is not
- 6:42Speaker 1: meant to discourage you, but to develop you. It is
- 6:46Speaker 1: not meant to stop you, but to stabilize you. God
- 6:49Speaker 1: is not finished. The story is not over. The blessing
- 6:54Speaker 1: is still on the way. You cannot rush heaven's clock.
- 6:58Speaker 1: You cannot pressure the author of time. But you can
- 7:02Speaker 1: trust that his timing is perfect. His ways are higher.
- 7:06Speaker 1: and his promises are sure. So the next time you
- 7:10Speaker 1: find yourself in a holding pattern, the next time your
- 7:14Speaker 1: prayer seems unanswered, the next time the door remains closed,
- 7:18Speaker 1: remember this delay is not denial. God is faithful. God
- 7:23Speaker 1: is intentional. God is working all things together for your good.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And when the appointed time comes... You will see that
- 7:32Speaker 1: every second of the delay was worth it because it
- 7:35Speaker 1: prepared you for the fullness of what God had planned.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Hold on in the pause. Trust him in the waiting.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Don't give up because it hasn't happened yet. Delay is
- 7:48Speaker 1: not denial. It is divine preparation for destiny. There are
- 7:52Speaker 1: seasons in life when heaven goes quiet. You pray, but
- 7:57Speaker 1: you don't hear anything back. You seek, but the answer
- 8:00Speaker 1: does not come. You knock and the door does not open.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And in those moments, doubt creeps in. We begin to
- 8:09Speaker 1: ask ourselves, did God forget me? Did he walk away?
- 8:13Speaker 1: Did my prayers get lost somewhere between here and heaven?
- 8:18Speaker 1: But I want you to understand something deep, something that
- 8:22Speaker 1: will shift your perspective. God's silence is not random. God's
- 8:27Speaker 1: silence is strategic. When God goes quiet, It is not
- 8:31Speaker 1: because he has abandoned you. It is not because he
- 8:35Speaker 1: has turned his back on you. It is because he
- 8:39Speaker 1: is working in ways that cannot yet be revealed. The
- 8:43Speaker 1: silence of God is often the womb of your next season.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It is the hidden place where purpose is conceived, where
- 8:51Speaker 1: destiny is formed, where your breakthrough is being fashioned in secret.
- 8:56Speaker 1: What you call silence, God calls strategy. Think about a
- 9:01Speaker 1: teacher during a test. The teacher doesn't speak, not because
- 9:05Speaker 1: they don't care, but because they want the student to
- 9:08Speaker 1: apply what they've already learned. Sometimes, heaven is silent because
- 9:15Speaker 1: God is saying, you already have what you need to
- 9:19Speaker 1: get through this season. You already have the word, the wisdom,
- 9:24Speaker 1: the strength I poured into you. Now walk it out.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Silence is not the absence of God. Silence is the
- 9:32Speaker 1: confirmation that you are strong enough to handle the moment
- 9:37Speaker 1: with what he has already deposited inside you. And then
- 9:40Speaker 1: there are times when silence is God's way of protecting
- 9:44Speaker 1: the process. If you knew every detail of what he
- 9:48Speaker 1: was arranging, you might try to manipulate it, control it,
- 9:52Speaker 1: or even sabotage it out of fear. So God says,
- 9:56Speaker 1: Be still and trust me, you don't need to know
- 10:00Speaker 1: every move I'm making. Just follow me one step at
- 10:03Speaker 1: a time. Silence is heaven's way of saying, stay in
- 10:08Speaker 1: position because I am orchestrating something too big for you
- 10:12Speaker 1: to comprehend right now. Look at Jesus on the cross.
- 10:17Speaker 1: He cried out, My God, my God, why have you
- 10:21Speaker 1: forsaken me? Heaven was silent. No angels descended. No thunder
- 10:26Speaker 1: cracked the sky. No immediate rescue came. But was God absent? No.
- 10:31Speaker 1: The silence was strategic. Redemption was being accomplished in that quiet,
- 10:37Speaker 1: agonizing moment. The silence of God was setting the stage
- 10:41Speaker 1: for the loudest victory in history. The resurrection. What looked
- 10:47Speaker 1: like abandonment was actually alignment. What looked like silence was
- 10:51Speaker 1: the sound of salvation being secured. Consider also the story
- 10:56Speaker 1: of Lazarus. When Jesus heard that his friend was sick,
- 11:01Speaker 1: he didn't rush to heal him. He waited. He allowed
- 11:05Speaker 1: the silence of delay to stretch over four long days.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Everyone thought it was too late. Everyone thought the silence
- 11:13Speaker 1: meant the end. But when Jesus finally spoke, when he
- 11:18Speaker 1: finally called Lazarus out of the tomb, the miracle was
- 11:22Speaker 1: greater than anyone expected. If he had come sooner, Lazarus
- 11:27Speaker 1: would have been healed. But by waiting in silence, Jesus
- 11:31Speaker 1: revealed his power to not just heal the sick, but
- 11:34Speaker 1: to raise the dead. Silence was strategic. It turned a
- 11:39Speaker 1: healing into a resurrection, a moment into a movement. And
- 11:43Speaker 1: maybe that's where you are right now. Maybe you're praying
- 11:47Speaker 1: for God to speak, for God to move, for God
- 11:51Speaker 1: to answer. And all you hear is silence. Do not
- 11:55Speaker 1: misinterpret the silence. It is not rejection. It is not neglect.
- 11:59Speaker 1: It is not indifference. It is strategy. God is lining
- 12:04Speaker 1: things up, working behind the curtain, setting the stage so
- 12:08Speaker 1: that when the moment comes... His glory will be revealed
- 12:12Speaker 1: in ways far greater than you imagined. You see, silence
- 12:17Speaker 1: trains us to lean not on what we hear, but
- 12:20Speaker 1: on what we know. Faith is not built in the noise.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Faith is built in the quiet. It is in silence
- 12:28Speaker 1: that you learn to trust the character of God when
- 12:31Speaker 1: you cannot trace the activity of God. It is in
- 12:35Speaker 1: silence that you learn to stand on his word when
- 12:38Speaker 1: even when his voice feels far. The silence teaches you
- 12:41Speaker 1: that God's presence is not proven by goosebumps or emotional highs,
- 12:47Speaker 1: but by his unchanging promise that he will never leave
- 12:51Speaker 1: you nor forsake you. Sometimes God's silence is also a filter.
- 12:57Speaker 1: It reveals who really trusts him, because it's easy to
- 13:01Speaker 1: praise when the answers are flowing, when doors are opening,
- 13:05Speaker 1: when blessings are pouring. But can you still trust when
- 13:09Speaker 1: the heavens are quiet? Can you still believe when prayers
- 13:13Speaker 1: are met with stillness? Silence separates the shallow from the steadfast.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Silence reveals whether your faith is in God's hand or
- 13:23Speaker 1: in God's heart. And hear me well, silence does not
- 13:28Speaker 1: mean nothing is happening. The seed is silent underground before
- 13:32Speaker 1: it breaks forth. The baby is silent in the womb
- 13:36Speaker 1: before it cries. The night is silent before the dawn breaks.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Silence is not stagnation. Silence is gestation. Something is being
- 13:46Speaker 1: formed in you, around you, and for you. God's silence
- 13:50Speaker 1: is setting you up for manifestation. So don't despise the
- 13:55Speaker 1: quiet seasons. Don't let the silence scare you into quitting.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Learn to rest in the fact that God is too
- 14:02Speaker 1: wise to make mistakes and too loving to forget you.
- 14:06Speaker 1: If he is silent, It's because he is up to
- 14:09Speaker 1: something that requires silence. Trust the strategy. Trust the process.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Trust the God who sees the end from the beginning.
- 14:20Speaker 1: One day, the silence will break. One day, the voice
- 14:24Speaker 1: of God will thunder again in your life. One day,
- 14:28Speaker 1: the breakthrough will manifest and you will look back and say,
- 14:32Speaker 1: now I see why he was silent. Now I see
- 14:35Speaker 1: what he was building. Now I see the strategy. Until then,
- 14:39Speaker 1: stand still, be faithful, keep praying, keep believing, because God's
- 14:45Speaker 1: silence is not his absence. It is his strategy. Life
- 14:49Speaker 1: has a way of putting us in holding patterns. You pray,
- 14:53Speaker 1: you plan, you position yourself, but instead of moving forward,
- 14:58Speaker 1: God presses pause. It feels like everything is on standstill,
- 15:03Speaker 1: like the dream has been shelved, like destiny has been delayed.
- 15:08Speaker 1: But what we must understand is this, the pause is
- 15:10Speaker 1: not punishment. It is preparation. God uses the pauses of
- 15:16Speaker 1: life to shape us, mold us, and equip us for
- 15:20Speaker 1: the very thing we've been asking him for. Preparation always
- 15:24Speaker 1: happens in the pause. The problem is that we often
- 15:27Speaker 1: despise the waiting room. We want God to move quickly.
- 15:32Speaker 1: We want the promise without the process, the crown without
- 15:36Speaker 1: the cross, the harvest without the planning. But God is
- 15:41Speaker 1: too wise to promote us before we are ready. He
- 15:44Speaker 1: knows what's ahead. He knows the weight of the blessing,
- 15:48Speaker 1: the magnitude of the assignment, the intensity of the battle.
- 15:53Speaker 1: And so he pauses us, not to hold us back,
- 15:57Speaker 1: but to prepare us for what is coming. What looks
- 16:00Speaker 1: like delay is actually development. What feels like waiting is
- 16:05Speaker 1: really training. Think about David. He was anointed king as
- 16:09Speaker 1: a boy, but he did not step into the palace
- 16:12Speaker 1: the next day. Instead, he went back to the fields
- 16:16Speaker 1: to shepherd sheep. He fought lions and bears. He played
- 16:21Speaker 1: music for a tormented king. He hid in caves while
- 16:24Speaker 1: Saul tried to kill him. Those years in the pause
- 16:28Speaker 1: were not wasted. They were preparing him for the throne.
- 16:33Speaker 1: The courage he gained in the fields... the discipline he
- 16:37Speaker 1: developed in obscurity, the wisdom he learned through adversity. All
- 16:42Speaker 1: of it was forged in the pause. By the time
- 16:45Speaker 1: he finally sat on the throne, he was not just anointed,
- 16:49Speaker 1: he was prepared. And look at Moses. God gave him
- 16:53Speaker 1: a burden to deliver Israel, but before he could lead,
- 16:57Speaker 1: he spent 40 years on the backside of the desert
- 17:00Speaker 1: tending sheep. 40 years may sound like wasted time, But
- 17:05Speaker 1: it wasn't wasted. It was preparation. Moses learned patience in
- 17:11Speaker 1: the wilderness. He learned how to navigate the desert terrain.
- 17:15Speaker 1: He learned how to lead flocks so that one day
- 17:18Speaker 1: he could lead people. The pause was necessary to shape
- 17:22Speaker 1: the leader within him. Without the pause, Moses would have
- 17:27Speaker 1: stepped into destiny too soon and failed. Preparation in the
- 17:32Speaker 1: pause is often uncomfortable. because it feels hidden. Nobody claps
- 17:37Speaker 1: for you in the pause. Nobody celebrates the training season.
- 17:43Speaker 1: People may forget your name while you're in the waiting room,
- 17:47Speaker 1: but God never forgets. He is building in you the character,
- 17:52Speaker 1: the endurance, the humility, and the faith required to carry
- 17:56Speaker 1: the next level. If he pushed you forward before the preparation,
- 18:00Speaker 1: the very blessing you prayed for could crush you. The
- 18:04Speaker 1: pause is his mercy. Sometimes the pause is where God
- 18:09Speaker 1: heals you from past wounds before he trusts you with
- 18:13Speaker 1: future responsibilities. Sometimes the pause is where he stretches your capacity,
- 18:19Speaker 1: teaching you patience, teaching you perseverance, teaching you to walk
- 18:24Speaker 1: by faith and not by sight. Sometimes the pause is
- 18:28Speaker 1: where he teaches you obedience because destiny is never reached
- 18:33Speaker 1: without submission. The pause is not wasted. It is sacred.
- 18:38Speaker 1: It is the classroom of heaven. And maybe that is
- 18:41Speaker 1: where you are right now. You're in between the promise
- 18:45Speaker 1: and the fulfillment. You know what God spoke over your life,
- 18:51Speaker 1: but you don't see it yet. You're frustrated because the
- 18:54Speaker 1: door hasn't opened. The opportunity hasn't come. The dream hasn't manifested.
- 19:01Speaker 1: But don't despise the pause. The pause is where God
- 19:05Speaker 1: prepares the vessel. The pause is where he pours into
- 19:09Speaker 1: you what you will need to sustain the blessing when
- 19:12Speaker 1: it comes. The pause is where he refines your motives
- 19:18Speaker 1: so that when he lifts you, you'll know it's not
- 19:21Speaker 1: about you but about his glory. Think about a caterpillar
- 19:25Speaker 1: in the cocoon. From the outside, it looks like nothing
- 19:28Speaker 1: is happening. The cocoon is still, quiet, even hidden. But
- 19:34Speaker 1: on the inside, transformation is taking place. The creature is
- 19:38Speaker 1: being restructured, reshaped, and made new. If you rush the
- 19:43Speaker 1: process and cut open the cocoon too soon, the butterfly
- 19:48Speaker 1: will never develop the strength it needs to fly. The
- 19:52Speaker 1: struggle inside the pause is what builds the wings for
- 19:55Speaker 1: the next level. The pause is not death, it's preparation
- 20:00Speaker 1: for flight. God often uses pauses to prepare the stage.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Sometimes he's not just preparing you, he's preparing the environment
- 20:10Speaker 1: around you. He's aligning the right people, positioning the right opportunities,
- 20:16Speaker 1: moving obstacles out of the way. While you're waiting, heaven
- 20:21Speaker 1: is working. The pause is not a sign that nothing
- 20:25Speaker 1: is happening. It's a sign that everything is coming together
- 20:29Speaker 1: in God's timing. So don't rush out of the pause.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Don't force doors open that God has not unlocked. Don't
- 20:39Speaker 1: abandon the process because it feels too slow. Trust the preparation.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Trust that God knows exactly how long the pause needs
- 20:47Speaker 1: to last. Every day you spend in preparation is a
- 20:51Speaker 1: day building your foundation. Every moment in the waiting room
- 20:56Speaker 1: is strengthening your spiritual muscles. Every second in the pause
- 21:01Speaker 1: is equipping you for the weight of your assignment. When
- 21:05Speaker 1: the pause finally ends and the promise is revealed, you
- 21:10Speaker 1: will see that the preparation was worth it. You will
- 21:13Speaker 1: look back and thank God for every quiet season, every
- 21:17Speaker 1: hidden place, every delay that felt like disappointment, because now
- 21:23Speaker 1: you will realize that the pause didn't rob you. It
- 21:27Speaker 1: readied you. The pause didn't hold you back. It set
- 21:30Speaker 1: you up. The pause wasn't wasted. It was the birthplace
- 21:35Speaker 1: of your strength, your wisdom, and your maturity. So the
- 21:40Speaker 1: next time life feels like it's standing still, the next
- 21:44Speaker 1: time heaven feels like it hit the pause button, remind
- 21:48Speaker 1: yourself preparation happens in the pause. Trust what God is
- 21:53Speaker 1: doing behind the scenes. Rest in the process. Hold fast
- 21:57Speaker 1: in the silence. Because when the pause is over, you
- 22:01Speaker 1: won't just step into the promise. you'll step into it prepared, equipped,
- 22:07Speaker 1: and unshakable. There is a place in God where noise ceases,
- 22:12Speaker 1: where striving comes to an end, where the rushing and
- 22:16Speaker 1: pushing of life is silenced, and all that remains is stillness.
- 22:21Speaker 1: And it is in that place that trust is born, tested,
- 22:24Speaker 1: and strengthened. Trust does not grow in chaos. Trust does
- 22:29Speaker 1: not grow in constant motion. Trust grows in stillness. When
- 22:33Speaker 1: God says, be still and know that I am God,
- 22:37Speaker 1: he is not just commanding silence. He is inviting us
- 22:42Speaker 1: into a deeper dimension of faith. He is calling us
- 22:45Speaker 1: into the quiet where our souls can learn to rely
- 22:48Speaker 1: on him without distraction. We often equate movement with progress.
- 22:54Speaker 1: We feel that if we are not doing something, nothing
- 22:57Speaker 1: is happening. But in God's economy, stillness is not an activity.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Stillness is intentional reliance. Stillness is the moment where you
- 23:07Speaker 1: lay down your plans, your strategies, your control, and say, Lord,
- 23:14Speaker 1: I trust you more than I trust myself. It is
- 23:18Speaker 1: easy to trust God when the answers are coming quickly,
- 23:22Speaker 1: when the doors are swinging open, when the blessings are flowing.
- 23:27Speaker 1: But can you trust him when nothing is moving? Can
- 23:30Speaker 1: you trust him when the silence lingers and the waiting
- 23:34Speaker 1: stretches long? That is where trust grows. When stillness presses
- 23:39Speaker 1: against your impatience, and you choose to believe anyway, the
- 23:44Speaker 1: stillness of God is not comfortable. It exposes us. It
- 23:49Speaker 1: shows us our dependency on movement, our addiction to noise,
- 23:53Speaker 1: our fear of silence. We like to keep busy because
- 23:56Speaker 1: business makes us feel in control, but stillness strips away
- 24:01Speaker 1: the illusion of control. Stillness makes you face the truth
- 24:06Speaker 1: that you cannot manipulate God's timing. You cannot force his hand.
- 24:10Speaker 1: You cannot rush his plan. And yet in that stripped
- 24:14Speaker 1: down vulnerable place, something powerful happens. Trust begins to grow.
- 24:22Speaker 1: You learn to lean not on your understanding, but on
- 24:24Speaker 1: his promises. You learn to rest not in what you see,
- 24:28Speaker 1: but in what you know about his character. Think about
- 24:32Speaker 1: Israel at the Red Sea. The Egyptians were chasing them
- 24:36Speaker 1: from behind, the waters blocked them in front, and panic
- 24:40Speaker 1: filled the camp. But Moses told them, stand still and
- 24:45Speaker 1: see the salvation of the Lord. The miracle did not
- 24:49Speaker 1: happen while they were running in circles. screaming in fear.
- 24:54Speaker 1: The miracle happened when they were still enough to witness
- 24:57Speaker 1: God's power. The waters parted in the stillness. Their trust
- 25:03Speaker 1: in God grew in that moment when they realized he
- 25:07Speaker 1: could make a way where there was no way. Stillness
- 25:11Speaker 1: revealed his strength. Or look at Elijah on the mountain.
- 25:16Speaker 1: He was wary, discouraged, ready to give up. He was
- 25:20Speaker 1: looking for God in the wind, the earthquake, the fire,
- 25:23Speaker 1: all the noise, all the spectacle. But the Lord was
- 25:27Speaker 1: not in the noise. He came in a still, small voice.
- 25:31Speaker 1: In that quiet moment, Elijah's soul was reminded that God
- 25:35Speaker 1: is not always found in the dramatic, but often in
- 25:38Speaker 1: the stillness. And in that stillness, Elijah's trust was renewed.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Stillness is not passive. It is powerful. It is in
- 25:49Speaker 1: stillness that you learn to let God fight your battles.
- 25:53Speaker 1: It is in stillness that you discover his peace that
- 25:56Speaker 1: surpasses understanding. It is in stillness that you begin to
- 26:01Speaker 1: realize you don't have to carry everything on your own
- 26:05Speaker 1: shoulders because the God who holds the universe is holding you.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Trust grows when you stop striving and start surrendering. Some
- 26:15Speaker 1: of you are in seasons where God has forced stillness
- 26:18Speaker 1: upon you. The job hasn't come through. The relationship is
- 26:23Speaker 1: on pause. The opportunity is delayed and it feels like
- 26:28Speaker 1: you are stuck. But perhaps God has positioned you in
- 26:32Speaker 1: stillness so that trust can take root. Perhaps the pause
- 26:36Speaker 1: is not punishment, but pruning. Cutting away your reliance on
- 26:41Speaker 1: yourself so that you can learn to rely fully on him.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Stillness is a classroom and trust is the lesson. It
- 26:49Speaker 1: takes maturity to embrace stillness. Immaturity runs from silence, filling
- 26:55Speaker 1: the void with noise and activity. Maturity says, even if
- 27:00Speaker 1: I don't see it, I know God is working. Even
- 27:03Speaker 1: if I don't hear it, I know he is speaking.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Even if I can't feel it, I know he is present.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Trust matures in the stillness. It digs its roots deep,
- 27:14Speaker 1: beyond circumstances, beyond emotions, beyond evidence, into the soil of
- 27:20Speaker 1: God's unchanging word. And when trust grows in stillness, it
- 27:24Speaker 1: produces peace. The storm may rage around you, but the
- 27:29Speaker 1: stillness within you holds steady. Jesus showed this when he
- 27:33Speaker 1: slept in the boat while the storm threatened to drown
- 27:36Speaker 1: the disciples. They panicked. He rested. They doubted. He trusted.
- 27:43Speaker 1: And when they woke him, he simply spoke peace to
- 27:46Speaker 1: the storm because he carried peace inside him. That is
- 27:51Speaker 1: what happens when trust grows in stillness. You carry a
- 27:55Speaker 1: calm that the storm cannot take away. So if you
- 27:58Speaker 1: find yourself in a season of stillness, don't resist it.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Embrace it. Let God do the inner work that noise
- 28:07Speaker 1: and business cannot accomplish. Learn to breathe in his presence.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Learn to lean on his word. Learn to let go
- 28:15Speaker 1: of control and rest in his sovereignty. Because when you
- 28:19Speaker 1: come out of the stillness, Your trust will be unshakable.
- 28:23Speaker 1: You will no longer be swayed by delays, discouraged by silence,
- 28:28Speaker 1: or intimidated by storms. You will walk in a confidence
- 28:32Speaker 1: that says, I know the one I have trusted, and
- 28:36Speaker 1: he is faithful. Trust does not grow in noise. Trust
- 28:41Speaker 1: does not grow in constant activity. Trust grows in stillness.
- 28:45Speaker 1: And the stillness you endure today is shaping the strength
- 28:48Speaker 1: you will need tomorrow. Be still, wait on him, trust
- 28:53Speaker 1: in him. Because the God of stillness is also the
- 28:57Speaker 1: God of breakthrough. And when the time is right, he
- 29:02Speaker 1: will move you from waiting to walking, from silence to sound,
- 29:06Speaker 1: from stillness to fulfillment. Purpose is one of those words
- 29:09Speaker 1: that stirs the soul. Deep inside, we all long to
- 29:14Speaker 1: know why we are here, what we were created for,
- 29:18Speaker 1: what assignment God placed upon our lives. But one of
- 29:22Speaker 1: the hardest lessons to learn is that purpose is not
- 29:25Speaker 1: revealed all at once, nor is it rushed by our urgency.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Purpose unfolds in God's timing. It comes layer by layer,
- 29:34Speaker 1: season by season, moment by moment, until one day you
- 29:38Speaker 1: look back and realize that every step, every delay, every
- 29:44Speaker 1: detour was shaping the picture of your destiny. We live
- 29:47Speaker 1: in a world that wants instant clarity. We want to
- 29:51Speaker 1: know the blueprint before we build, the map before we journey,
- 29:56Speaker 1: the outcome before we step out. but God does not
- 29:59Speaker 1: reveal purpose that way. He often shows us just enough
- 30:03Speaker 1: to take the next step, and then in His timing,
- 30:07Speaker 1: He reveals more. Why? Because if He showed you the
- 30:11Speaker 1: fullness of His plan too soon, it would overwhelm you.
- 30:15Speaker 1: If He revealed the battles ahead before you had the
- 30:19Speaker 1: strength to fight, you might give up. If He handed
- 30:23Speaker 1: you the blessing before your character was ready, You might
- 30:27Speaker 1: lose it. God reveals purpose according to his timing, because
- 30:31Speaker 1: he knows exactly when you are ready to carry it.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Consider Joseph again. As a teenager, he dreamed of greatness,
- 30:40Speaker 1: of influence, of leadership. That was God giving him a
- 30:44Speaker 1: glimpse of purpose. But the full picture didn't unfold immediately. Instead,
- 30:51Speaker 1: he walked through betrayal, slavery, and prison. At each stage,
- 30:55Speaker 1: pieces of his purpose unfolded. In Potiphar's house, he learned administration.
- 31:02Speaker 1: In prison, he learned patience and faithfulness. In the palace,
- 31:07Speaker 1: he learned how to govern. Only after years of development
- 31:11Speaker 1: did the fullness of his purpose unfold. That he was
- 31:15Speaker 1: not just a dreamer, but a deliverer who would save
- 31:18Speaker 1: his family and a nation. Each moment was on God's clock.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Purpose is tied to timing because purpose is not just
- 31:27Speaker 1: about you. It's about how your life intersects with the
- 31:31Speaker 1: lives of others. Sometimes God delays the unfolding of your
- 31:36Speaker 1: purpose because he's preparing the people you will impact. Sometimes
- 31:42Speaker 1: he is positioning you in the right place at the
- 31:45Speaker 1: right time to meet the right person. You may feel
- 31:49Speaker 1: like nothing is happening, But God is aligning your purpose
- 31:52Speaker 1: with divine appointments. Purpose does not just require preparation. It
- 31:58Speaker 1: requires perfect timing. Think about Esther. She was an orphaned
- 32:03Speaker 1: girl taken into the palace, seemingly by chance. But her
- 32:08Speaker 1: purpose did not unfold until the timing was right. When
- 32:12Speaker 1: her people were threatened with destruction, she was positioned to act.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Mordecai told her, Perhaps you were born for such a
- 32:21Speaker 1: time as this. Her purpose was not random. It was
- 32:25Speaker 1: wrapped in timing. She could not have fulfilled it a
- 32:29Speaker 1: day earlier or a day later. It had to happen
- 32:32Speaker 1: exactly when it did. We often become impatient when we
- 32:37Speaker 1: feel delayed, but delay is part of the process. God's
- 32:42Speaker 1: timing is not slow, it is strategic. He knows the
- 32:45Speaker 1: seasons of your life. Just as the farmer cannot harvest
- 32:49Speaker 1: in winter and the seed cannot sprout in dry ground,
- 32:54Speaker 1: purpose will not manifest outside of its appointed season. You
- 32:58Speaker 1: may want it now, but God says not yet. And
- 33:02Speaker 1: when he says not yet, it is because he has
- 33:05Speaker 1: an appointed yes waiting for you at the right time.
- 33:10Speaker 1: The unfolding of purpose also requires trust. It demands that
- 33:14Speaker 1: we surrender our calendars and clocks to the God who
- 33:18Speaker 1: sits outside of time. He is the alpha and the omega,
- 33:23Speaker 1: the beginning and the end. He already knows how the
- 33:26Speaker 1: story will unfold. Our job is not to force it,
- 33:31Speaker 1: but to walk faithfully until his timing reveals it. The
- 33:34Speaker 1: danger of trying to rush purpose is that you might
- 33:38Speaker 1: end up with something premature. A premature blessing can become
- 33:43Speaker 1: a burden. A premature assignment can break you instead of
- 33:47Speaker 1: build you. That is why God waits until the soil
- 33:51Speaker 1: of your heart and the season of your life are ready.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Purpose unfolds slowly because it is layered. At one stage,
- 34:00Speaker 1: you may think your calling is just one thing, but later,
- 34:04Speaker 1: God reveals more. The songwriter David did not start as
- 34:08Speaker 1: a king. He started as a shepherd. then a warrior,
- 34:12Speaker 1: then a worshiper, then a leader. Each stage added another
- 34:17Speaker 1: dimension to his purpose. If you judge your life too early,
- 34:22Speaker 1: you might mistake a chapter for the whole book. Purpose
- 34:25Speaker 1: unfolds in chapters, and only when the author says, it's
- 34:30Speaker 1: time to you move to the next page. Some of
- 34:33Speaker 1: you are frustrated because you see glimpses of your purpose,
- 34:37Speaker 1: but not the fullness. You know God has called you,
- 34:42Speaker 1: but the doors are not open yet. You feel the
- 34:44Speaker 1: fire inside, but the platform is not there. Don't give up.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Don't despise the waiting. Purpose is unfolding even now. The
- 34:55Speaker 1: delay is shaping you. The silence is preparing you. The
- 35:00Speaker 1: hidden season is equipping you. And when God's timing intersects
- 35:04Speaker 1: with your preparation, purpose will burst forth in power. when
- 35:09Speaker 1: you finally step into what you were created for, you
- 35:13Speaker 1: will realize why it had to take time. You will
- 35:16Speaker 1: see that every disappointment was direction, every detour was destiny,
- 35:22Speaker 1: every delay was development. You will thank God that he
- 35:26Speaker 1: did not give it to you too soon because now
- 35:29Speaker 1: you are ready to carry it. Purpose unfolds in God's
- 35:33Speaker 1: timing because his plan is perfect. He knows when you're ready.
- 35:39Speaker 1: He knows when the world needs what you carry. He
- 35:42Speaker 1: knows when the moment will maximize his glory. So rest
- 35:46Speaker 1: in his timing. Trust his process. Walk faithfully in the
- 35:50Speaker 1: season you are in, because when the appointed time comes,
- 35:55Speaker 1: nothing and no one can stop the purpose of God
- 35:59Speaker 1: from being revealed in your life. Purpose unfolds in God's timing,
- 36:03Speaker 1: and when it does, you will see that the weight
- 36:06Speaker 1: was not wasted. It was the womb of destiny. Every
- 36:10Speaker 1: promise of God is sure. His word does not fail.
- 36:14Speaker 1: His covenant does not break. His intentions do not shift
- 36:18Speaker 1: with the winds of time. But here is the tension.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Between the giving of the promise and the fulfillment of it,
- 36:26Speaker 1: there is always a pause. The pause precedes the promise.
- 36:31Speaker 1: It is the space in between what God said and
- 36:34Speaker 1: what God does. And it is in that space where
- 36:38Speaker 1: faith is tested, where patience is stretched, where trust is forged.
- 36:44Speaker 1: The pause is not the absence of the promise. It
- 36:47Speaker 1: is the proving ground of the promise. We love the
- 36:50Speaker 1: idea of the promise, but we don't always love the
- 36:54Speaker 1: reality of the pause. The pause can feel like confusion.
- 36:59Speaker 1: The pause can feel like contradiction. God told you he
- 37:03Speaker 1: would heal, but you're still waiting on the manifestation. God
- 37:08Speaker 1: told you he would provide, but you're still balancing overdue bills.
- 37:14Speaker 1: God told you he would open the door, but you're
- 37:17Speaker 1: still standing in the hallway. That pause can tempt you
- 37:21Speaker 1: to doubt, to give up, to walk away. But if
- 37:25Speaker 1: you understand that the pause precedes the promise, you'll learn
- 37:29Speaker 1: to endure because the pause is not forever. It's preparation
- 37:34Speaker 1: for fulfillment. Look at Abraham. God told him he would
- 37:39Speaker 1: be the father of many nations, that his descendants would
- 37:42Speaker 1: be as numerous as the stars. Yet years passed with
- 37:46Speaker 1: no child. The pause stretched long. And in that pause,
- 37:51Speaker 1: Abraham and Sarah wrestled with doubt. They even tried to
- 37:56Speaker 1: make their own solution through Hagar, but God's promise did
- 38:00Speaker 1: not change. Isaac still came. The pause was not wasted.
- 38:06Speaker 1: It deepened their dependence on God, and it magnified the
- 38:09Speaker 1: miracle when it finally arrived. The pause proved that the
- 38:13Speaker 1: promise was not Abraham's doing, but God's power. Consider Israel
- 38:18Speaker 1: and Egypt. God promised deliverance. But 400 years went by
- 38:23Speaker 1: before Moses rose up. Generations were born and died in
- 38:27Speaker 1: the pause. Yet in that pause, God was preparing a deliverer.
- 38:33Speaker 1: setting the stage for a mighty exodus. When the promise
- 38:37Speaker 1: finally broke through, it was not just freedom for one family,
- 38:42Speaker 1: but liberation for an entire nation. The pause made the
- 38:46Speaker 1: promise all the more powerful. And think of Jesus after
- 38:50Speaker 1: his crucifixion. He promised resurrection, but for three days the
- 38:55Speaker 1: disciples lived in the pause. Friday was full of pain.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Saturday was full of silence. and it felt like the
- 39:02Speaker 1: story was over. But Sunday came. The promise of resurrection
- 39:08Speaker 1: burst forth, proving that the pause is never the end.
- 39:12Speaker 1: The pause is the setup. The pause precedes the promise.
- 39:17Speaker 1: The pause teaches us that God is not in a hurry.
- 39:20Speaker 1: He does not rush the process. He allows the pause
- 39:24Speaker 1: because the promise is too precious to be delivered prematurely.
