- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with i R Radio. Hey Ben Higgins, Hello, Ashley, Hike
- 0:09Speaker 1: and Nettie. How are you doing. I'm good. How are
- 0:12Speaker 1: you feeling feeling I'm feeling okay. I didn't sleep good
- 0:16Speaker 1: last night. I'm I'm I'm making it honestly. The recovery
- 0:20Speaker 1: is easier than I expected. But at the same time,
- 0:23Speaker 1: I'm more uncomfortable because six weeks of crutching around just
- 0:28Speaker 1: a little tough. But it's not the biggest issue in
- 0:30Speaker 1: the world. Um, but yeah, I'm not sleeping great, so
- 0:33Speaker 1: I'm just a little worn out all the time. That sucks.
- 0:37Speaker 1: What what kind of sleeper? Are you? Normally? A stomach
- 0:39Speaker 1: sleeper or back sleeper, a side sleeper. I'm I've always,
- 0:43Speaker 1: since I was a little kid, had a body pillow,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and so, oh yeah, so I have a body put
- 0:48Speaker 1: the pregnancy pillow, Oh I always have. I put my
- 0:52Speaker 1: right leg on that, I wrapped my arm, my right
- 0:56Speaker 1: arm around that in my left arm hanging straight to
- 0:59Speaker 1: my side, and I kind of put my pillow up
- 1:01Speaker 1: so my neck isn't that crunched. I kind of put
- 1:03Speaker 1: it up on my shoulders so like it's a weird position.
- 1:06Speaker 1: And I've also gotten really into these like bamboo like
- 1:09Speaker 1: pillows like the like years ago, Like they're like tempera pedic,
- 1:13Speaker 1: so they're a little skinnier. What about you, Well, I'm
- 1:18Speaker 1: just curious. Do you stay in that same very specific
- 1:20Speaker 1: position all night long? No? I don't think so I
- 1:23Speaker 1: wake up okay, that's you're falling asleep position. Yeah, and
- 1:26Speaker 1: then I usually I usually wake up on my back.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I had this fear as a kid that if I
- 1:32Speaker 1: didn't sleep on my back, um, it was like bad
- 1:35Speaker 1: for me. And so I've always taught myself this somehow
- 1:37Speaker 1: make it to my back, like, well, that's amazing. That's
- 1:40Speaker 1: been like a goal in my life for the past
- 1:42Speaker 1: couple of years, ever since I started seeing sleep wrinkles,
- 1:46Speaker 1: which is so not a concern of mine right now,
- 1:49Speaker 1: because I too, have not been able to sleep very
- 1:51Speaker 1: well consistently for the past couple of months. Because they
- 1:55Speaker 1: tell pregnant women that you shouldn't be sleeping on your
- 1:58Speaker 1: stomach or your back, But there's like conflicting reports out there.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Some say it's totally fine to do unless, like you
- 2:07Speaker 1: wake up uncomfortable, like your body will tell you if
- 2:09Speaker 1: it's not good for you. But anyway, I've been trying
- 2:12Speaker 1: to sleep on my side and it's just not very good.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I finally kind of fat because I've always been a
- 2:16Speaker 1: stomach sleeper, always um, and I kind of just found
- 2:20Speaker 1: a new position where it's just kind of like my
- 2:22Speaker 1: chest is down but my stomach I twist to the side. Yeah,
- 2:28Speaker 1: And I've been having crazy night sweats. It wasn't until like,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I mean consistently for weeks, and this week it's been
- 2:36Speaker 1: like every other night. So it's promising. But I'm telling you,
- 2:39Speaker 1: waking up so gross gross gross. Actually you are crushing
- 2:44Speaker 1: it right now. Jared is just living a dream. Oh
- 2:47Speaker 1: I know. And a couple of months ago, at the
- 2:49Speaker 1: beginning of it all, it smelled like urine. The sweat
- 2:54Speaker 1: smelled like urine. I got out of that, thank goodness.
- 2:57Speaker 1: But he felt so bad because one morning he was like,
- 3:00Speaker 1: oh God, did you what the It's just uh I
- 3:05Speaker 1: it isn't wild with the human body. Does like as
- 3:11Speaker 1: absolutely bizarre and you're you're a trooper through it. Well, Ashley,
- 3:15Speaker 1: we have a lot to do on this podcast. We're
- 3:17Speaker 1: gonna break down this week's episode of Bachelor and Paradise.
- 3:20Speaker 1: We're also gonna bring on Taitia Adams to help us
- 3:22Speaker 1: break down everything going on in Paradise and also uh
- 3:26Speaker 1: talk about with her about the Bachelorette, about My Heart
- 3:30Speaker 1: media festival. It's gonna be a crazy good podcast and
- 3:35Speaker 1: then we're gonna find a finish this thing with Bachelor headlines.
- 3:38Speaker 1: But before we do, Ashley, you and I have had
- 3:40Speaker 1: something going on all year for Bachelor Paradise. It's been
- 3:42Speaker 1: a ton of fun for us. We've been playing the
- 3:45Speaker 1: Bachelor in Paradise. Brack are like fantasy um pool, and
- 3:50Speaker 1: uh we've done that because we really want to engage
- 3:53Speaker 1: with all of you listeners a little bit more bringing in.
- 3:56Speaker 1: We've had a great, I mean a tremendous response for it,
- 4:00Speaker 1: and every week we announced a rule uh that will
- 4:03Speaker 1: you know be a part of this week. This week's
- 4:05Speaker 1: rule is this. Anybody gets ten more points if a
- 4:09Speaker 1: contestant mentions that they can see a future with a
- 4:14Speaker 1: another contestant. Again, you get ten more points if a
- 4:16Speaker 1: contestant that you've picked in your fantasy pool mentions that
- 4:20Speaker 1: they can see a future with another contestant. That's the
- 4:24Speaker 1: rule for this week. Best of luck, Uh, we're getting
- 4:27Speaker 1: closer and closer than end so the winner will be
- 4:29Speaker 1: announced very soon. That should be easy for this week,
- 4:34Speaker 1: you know, because we're getting serious serious. Yeah, we're talking engagements.
- 4:39Speaker 1: All right, Let's take a quick break and then we
- 4:41Speaker 1: will get right into the Bachelor in Paradise recap. All right,
- 4:55Speaker 1: So we start out this episode, Ashley with the sneak peak,
- 4:58Speaker 1: which is always an engaging piece of an episode. Starts
- 5:02Speaker 1: out with, uh, with a lot of serious conversations. We
- 5:06Speaker 1: know relationships are gonna start getting serious, we just don't
- 5:08Speaker 1: know how serious they're gonna become. Uh. We all see
- 5:11Speaker 1: that Kenny is falling in love with Mari DeMar has
- 5:14Speaker 1: come to the island. We know that's gonna shake things up.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And also Joe is all about Serena. That's where the
- 5:21Speaker 1: sneak peek ends and Ashley take it away from part one. Alright, Well,
- 5:25Speaker 1: the sneak peek and exactly where we left off last week,
- 5:30Speaker 1: which was Joe and Serena telling each other they were
- 5:33Speaker 1: falling in love with each other and us having to
- 5:35Speaker 1: seek Kendall be tortured by just being steps away from
- 5:40Speaker 1: this very romantic scene we see her walk away last
- 5:44Speaker 1: week and that's where we leave off, and man, so
- 5:49Speaker 1: so heartbreaking. She ends up soon after going over to
- 5:52Speaker 1: Joe and just saying that she needs to talk. And
- 5:57Speaker 1: I respect Kendall for being so tough this moment, but
- 6:01Speaker 1: I also just like feel like she may have been
- 6:05Speaker 1: too tough, maybe throughout the entire thing, even from the
- 6:09Speaker 1: day she got there, Like maybe the best thing would
- 6:12Speaker 1: have just been like, hey, Joe, I'm actually just here
- 6:15Speaker 1: to see we can work out. And if we can't
- 6:19Speaker 1: work out, I don't think I can do anything. Can't
- 6:22Speaker 1: I can't although if I can find love here. Maybe
- 6:24Speaker 1: she was hoping hopelessly optimistic. Um, I just I don't.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel so bad because she says
- 6:33Speaker 1: in the car as she leaves, because Joe, you know,
- 6:36Speaker 1: says he says flat out that like they're not going
- 6:40Speaker 1: to be together. Um, And she says in the car
- 6:45Speaker 1: Joe is my person and stuff like that. And I
- 6:48Speaker 1: feel like in those in the moment interviews we get
- 6:52Speaker 1: to see like more of her being open, and I
- 6:56Speaker 1: think with Joe, she she just tries to kind of
- 7:01Speaker 1: be a little bit tougher, and you felt like she
- 7:03Speaker 1: had back a hell back. I mean I possibly I
- 7:06Speaker 1: felt like that that scene was really raw. Um. But
- 7:10Speaker 1: that being said, even though I think she did hold back, UM,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I don't think that it would have gone her way
- 7:17Speaker 1: even if she didn't, you know what I mean. No,
- 7:20Speaker 1: it's not I never watched this ever since the last
- 7:23Speaker 1: like seeing Joe and serene and kind of hearing Joe's emotion.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I wasn't watching this kindle Joe scene thinking that anything
- 7:31Speaker 1: was going to come from it necessarily. I was mostly
- 7:35Speaker 1: wanting like some healing for her, or some closure or
- 7:39Speaker 1: like again the band aid kind of being ripped off,
- 7:42Speaker 1: and this to be like kind of something that now
- 7:44Speaker 1: she has to process that this is done. And I
- 7:47Speaker 1: think we got there. I think it took a long
- 7:49Speaker 1: time to get there. But I never felt like, even
- 7:53Speaker 1: if she made the full press on Joe, that it
- 7:56Speaker 1: was ever gonna go any direction other than how it ended.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I completely agree. I completely agree. So like, even if
- 8:03Speaker 1: she were more out there about her feelings, which I
- 8:07Speaker 1: think it's evident by like the behavior, like the nonverbal behavior,
- 8:11Speaker 1: that she just wanted to be there to be with him,
- 8:14Speaker 1: but never really fully admitted that. I don't think that
- 8:18Speaker 1: I think it was over over and I guess it's
- 8:21Speaker 1: just hard for me. It's really hard for me to
- 8:23Speaker 1: watch one the heartbreak and like she says with wells
- 8:27Speaker 1: at at the bar, She's like, have you ever seen
- 8:29Speaker 1: your ex kiss somebody? You know, it's just like such
- 8:32Speaker 1: an unnatural environment to be in and it's like the
- 8:35Speaker 1: most heartbreaking thing. And then, um, I just feel like
- 8:43Speaker 1: a lot of me was I don't want to use
- 8:46Speaker 1: the word frustrated, but let's just go with it that
- 8:50Speaker 1: Kendall didn't come out about these feelings in the whole
- 8:53Speaker 1: past year that she had the opportunity to do so
- 8:56Speaker 1: before Paradise, because they seemed so strong. Why wait until
- 9:03Speaker 1: he's given this opportunity to like find love again. I mean,
- 9:07Speaker 1: he gets the opportunity every day and you know, regular life,
- 9:10Speaker 1: But in Paradise, I just feel like she missed out
- 9:15Speaker 1: on a chance to be with him again. I I'm
- 9:20Speaker 1: with you. I wonder what caused it to happen now?
- 9:23Speaker 1: I mean it could have been worse timing, because one,
- 9:26Speaker 1: it has to be done on the beach on camera
- 9:29Speaker 1: in a very real moment too. You know, she came
- 9:32Speaker 1: in late and Joe is already in a relationship, so
- 9:35Speaker 1: that had to be you know, that was going to
- 9:36Speaker 1: get to like what what what caused this to happen? Now?
- 9:40Speaker 1: And maybe it's not a question we'll ever figure out
- 9:42Speaker 1: because we really get any answers to it, um, but
- 9:46Speaker 1: it it is something to explore. And it was hard
- 9:49Speaker 1: to watch, you know, because we you know, as we've mentioned,
- 9:52Speaker 1: she's she's a tremendous human and it's it's hard to
- 9:55Speaker 1: see these things happen. But the one question I have
- 9:59Speaker 1: for you to kind of move on then, is how
- 10:01Speaker 1: do we know anything about Kendall's relationship with Ivan? Because
- 10:06Speaker 1: that just kind of got pushed aside, and like Ivan
- 10:08Speaker 1: is upset, kind of confused, Like we don't get a
- 10:11Speaker 1: lot about it, but like, is this a really tough
- 10:14Speaker 1: situation for him to sit in? No, Okay, it doesn't
- 10:17Speaker 1: seem like he was that attached. And I think it's
- 10:21Speaker 1: like super stupid of me to say, like, oh, he's
- 10:24Speaker 1: the only noted for a few days, because we all
- 10:26Speaker 1: know how I've acted after only knowing somebody for a
- 10:29Speaker 1: few days. But it just seemed like Ivan was more
- 10:32Speaker 1: obsessed to like where his rose was coming from, and
- 10:35Speaker 1: not so much Kendall. I'm sure he got vibes throughout
- 10:39Speaker 1: their time together that she wasn't completely in it and
- 10:43Speaker 1: that ye know, her focus was Joe. I'm not concerned
- 10:46Speaker 1: about Ivan. Ivan such a sweet guy. I hope the
- 10:49Speaker 1: best for him. I really don't care that things didn't
- 10:51Speaker 1: work out for him at Kendall. Yeah, there's there. Well,
- 10:54Speaker 1: there's a lot of Ivan that we're gonna see at
- 10:56Speaker 1: the end of the episode that we'll get to too,
- 10:57Speaker 1: and a different side of Ivan that we haven't seen
- 11:00Speaker 1: at well. All right, so I can end up leaving
- 11:02Speaker 1: the beach, and so the relationships that are left here
- 11:06Speaker 1: on the beach at this point, just to give a
- 11:08Speaker 1: recap or Mari and kN Kenny, Abigail, Noah, Serena and Joe,
- 11:12Speaker 1: Thomas and Becca, which we haven't seen a lot from,
- 11:14Speaker 1: which is super weird to me. UH and Riley and
- 11:17Speaker 1: Marissa Little John is hosting UH this week. He announces
- 11:22Speaker 1: that two people and two new people are coming to
- 11:24Speaker 1: the beach. Damar and Ed I'm not shocked with Demorrow,
- 11:28Speaker 1: was like, yeah, Demorrow makes it. I'm a little shocked
- 11:31Speaker 1: that Egg caused UH, like some mix up on the beach,
- 11:36Speaker 1: some interest, Like it's just not somebody I thought would
- 11:39Speaker 1: come to the beach and shake things up, but him
- 11:40Speaker 1: and Natasha actually click like it like is working. M hmm.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I don't know why we think of Ed as like
- 11:48Speaker 1: such a character. I kind of think of him like
- 11:50Speaker 1: Daniel Um. What's daniels last name? Uh, yeah, I know
- 11:54Speaker 1: it's from Canada. Yeah, Canadian speedo Daniel Um. I don't
- 12:00Speaker 1: know why we think of him like in a such
- 12:02Speaker 1: a silly way, but he just has like that caricature personality.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And I agree, like, I never thought that that would
- 12:09Speaker 1: be somebody that Natasha would click with, but it definitely
- 12:12Speaker 1: seems that there's something there. I don't think that this
- 12:14Speaker 1: is like going to go very far, but I'm happy
- 12:17Speaker 1: that Natasha just has somebody that she wants to make
- 12:19Speaker 1: out with. Yeah that she's Yeah, you're in paradise. It's
- 12:22Speaker 1: nice that you have somebody you're gonna kiss. The the
- 12:24Speaker 1: interesting one and and we still haven't seen it, and
- 12:26Speaker 1: we have to flash back to last week. I know
- 12:29Speaker 1: our listeners are are very interested in this scene because
- 12:32Speaker 1: we were, and we've heard about it from them. The
- 12:35Speaker 1: Marissa kissing somebody seen never shows up this week, and
- 12:40Speaker 1: so is that still yet to come? Because we see
- 12:42Speaker 1: some issues coming on there is it still yet to come? Well,
- 12:46Speaker 1: it wasn't in the preview, and I would think it'd
- 12:49Speaker 1: be in the preview, but it happened. We saw it
- 12:51Speaker 1: on tape. We must know what's going on. And my
- 12:54Speaker 1: best guess is if if it does happen, it will
- 12:57Speaker 1: be during the rest of the date time cocktail party.
- 13:02Speaker 1: It would Yeah, it would be a shock. And I
- 13:06Speaker 1: know that she had mentioned during this episode and you
- 13:09Speaker 1: know that there's some issues going on with her and
- 13:11Speaker 1: Riley or she wasn't like necessarily knowing where he was at.
- 13:13Speaker 1: But that kind of got fixed. It felt like, um.
- 13:16Speaker 1: She also had, you know, straight up said that she
- 13:18Speaker 1: was there for tomorrow, like she went to the beach
- 13:20Speaker 1: for tomorrow. So there's obviously like this going in interest.
- 13:23Speaker 1: It honestly threw me off because I was I was
- 13:26Speaker 1: really thinking that Riley and Merissa had this like really strong,
- 13:30Speaker 1: almost impenetrable like connection and then we see it kind
- 13:35Speaker 1: of fall apart within a few minutes during this episode,
- 13:39Speaker 1: just for a few minutes. But I think she would
- 13:41Speaker 1: have said yes to a date. I'm assuming, but I
- 13:43Speaker 1: think she would have said yes to a date with
- 13:44Speaker 1: tomorrow if you would ask. I'm a little confused how
- 13:47Speaker 1: it went. So, Yeah, I initially thought she was gonna
- 13:51Speaker 1: say yes, And then when he didn't ask Marissa, I
- 13:54Speaker 1: thought that maybe we didn't see a part where she said, like,
- 13:58Speaker 1: I've been really into you, been waiting for you to come. However,
- 14:02Speaker 1: I'm too far in with Riley, um, and I'm respecting
- 14:05Speaker 1: that relationship. I'm really excited where it's going. And then
- 14:10Speaker 1: if we do get the kiss, then I'm going to
- 14:14Speaker 1: be like super super duper confused. Yeah, and then Riley
- 14:19Speaker 1: was all defensive and he was like, I wouldn't have
- 14:22Speaker 1: said anything, but I would have been upset, and I
- 14:25Speaker 1: just kind of wish that he would have just said
- 14:27Speaker 1: I would have I would have been upset, and I
- 14:29Speaker 1: would have wished that you didn't go. And then he
- 14:32Speaker 1: kind of breaks his barriers and it's like, I'm just
- 14:35Speaker 1: so scared to open up, and this is why, and
- 14:38Speaker 1: you know, and I get there and and that was
- 14:39Speaker 1: a good scene to have because it did fill some gaps.
- 14:42Speaker 1: But am I wrong Ashley to be saying that? Like
- 14:46Speaker 1: I was thrown off on the Marissa right, like, are
- 14:50Speaker 1: we are we leaning too far into this? Because a
- 14:53Speaker 1: few weeks ago, we would have said this, this relationship
- 14:55Speaker 1: seems like it's going to last way outside of Paradise.
- 14:58Speaker 1: How do you go from saying I'm falling in love
- 15:01Speaker 1: with you too within forty eight hours kissing somebody else?
- 15:05Speaker 1: I don't know. I really don't know. And that's something
- 15:07Speaker 1: to watch. And so note that everybody for the upcoming
- 15:10Speaker 1: episodes is like, what is going to go on here?
- 15:13Speaker 1: Because it's it's gonna be very shocking. Um to me,
- 15:18Speaker 1: I have a feeling this the end of Paradise, Uh
- 15:22Speaker 1: is gonna be It's gonna be something that we've never
- 15:26Speaker 1: seen before. I might have some insight knowledge on that too.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Oh is that the Wells tease when he said that
- 15:32Speaker 1: there's something that happens that he's never seen before? Or
- 15:35Speaker 1: did we already get past that? I don't think we've
- 15:37Speaker 1: gotten past it yet. Oh really? Oh fantastic. Yeah, there's
- 15:41Speaker 1: still more to come, and so as good as this
- 15:43Speaker 1: season's been, it's only gonna get better. With that tease,
- 15:47Speaker 1: let's take a break here, Ashley. When we come back,
- 15:49Speaker 1: we're going to talk about the couples of the beach,
- 15:52Speaker 1: the new group date that's going on, and everything else
- 15:55Speaker 1: in paradise. Alright, Ashley, So back at the beach, Um,
- 16:11Speaker 1: we have some cute things going on. We have Joe,
- 16:13Speaker 1: who we love. Dr Joe playing the ukulele, makes a
- 16:16Speaker 1: little scene. Know and Abigail have a little date. We
- 16:19Speaker 1: haven't seen enough from them this season. It's been a
- 16:22Speaker 1: very quiet, which can only make me imagine that it's
- 16:26Speaker 1: going nowhere. Really, you know, yeah, because we've seen so
- 16:31Speaker 1: little from them, and yet they've been together pretty much
- 16:34Speaker 1: the entire time, with like maybe one day out of it.
- 16:38Speaker 1: It makes me feel like they're not going anywhere. I
- 16:40Speaker 1: would argue differently because of the Kevin and Astrid situation
- 16:43Speaker 1: when we saw Kevin and Astrod none during that season.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Kevin and Astrid broke up at the end of the season. Um,
- 16:51Speaker 1: you're right, I forgot that piece. But now they haven't
- 16:53Speaker 1: a baby. Wow, things are wild. Okay, you're not wrong there.
- 17:00Speaker 1: So maybe it doesn't go anywhere. Maybe this isn't a
- 17:01Speaker 1: relationship we should get attached to. Um. And again I
- 17:04Speaker 1: mentioned that, you know, Beck and Thomas like we see
- 17:06Speaker 1: nothing from them, and and so really the couples that
- 17:10Speaker 1: like we see the most from her Kenny and Mary, Uh,
- 17:13Speaker 1: Marissa and Riley, uh Joe and Serena, And am I
- 17:17Speaker 1: wrong in saying those are the relationships that we really
- 17:19Speaker 1: like right now, have the most invested into for sure?
- 17:23Speaker 1: For sure? Should we talk about Kenny and Mary's date? Yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 1: I think that's the best place to leave, because really
- 17:29Speaker 1: the new group date where uh Riley happened, Yeah, nothing happened.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I mean Riley didn't end up being upset because Chelsea
- 17:37Speaker 1: went with the mar and Natasha with Ed. As we mentioned,
- 17:40Speaker 1: Natasha and Ed kind of have a connection, but Chelsea
- 17:42Speaker 1: wasn't into Tamar didn't really work out. That was kind
- 17:45Speaker 1: of nothing from them besides the painting. And then we
- 17:48Speaker 1: saw Natasha and Ed kiss in a red lipstick kiss
- 17:51Speaker 1: and I was thinking when she was wearing the red
- 17:53Speaker 1: red lipstick, I was like, is she wearing the red
- 17:55Speaker 1: lipsick because she doesn't want to kiss ed? Because every
- 17:57Speaker 1: girl knows that if you don't want to kiss the
- 17:59Speaker 1: guy you're going on a date with, you should wear
- 18:01Speaker 1: red lipstick because the guys are usually afraid of it.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Ed didn't seem to even realize. I Uh, I think
- 18:09Speaker 1: he was just I think he was just so happy.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I think he was so happy to just be sitting
- 18:14Speaker 1: next to Natasha that he was like, I'm into whatever,
- 18:16Speaker 1: Like I don't care what I like. Um, but that's it. Okay,
- 18:19Speaker 1: So Kenny and Mary date. I actually actually will say this.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I usually watching things like this usually don't kind of
- 18:28Speaker 1: like make me feel any sort of weird way. Um,
- 18:31Speaker 1: awkward conversations make me a little bit, like I feel
- 18:35Speaker 1: a lot more awkward than you know, these kind of dates.
- 18:40Speaker 1: This one like really pushed the boundaries though, Like I
- 18:45Speaker 1: this was this is a wild date for ABC for
- 18:50Speaker 1: eight o'clock ABC. There's been so many there. Well, there's
- 18:55Speaker 1: been the whipped cream looking off toes, and then there
- 18:58Speaker 1: was tea and like the naked volleyball, and then there
- 19:01Speaker 1: was this I'm talking about like I mean the innu
- 19:07Speaker 1: and like it was it was a lot um you know.
- 19:10Speaker 1: And then I don't know, I don't know how you
- 19:14Speaker 1: feel about this actually, but you know, I'm a little
- 19:18Speaker 1: more secretive when it comes to stuff. But like even
- 19:20Speaker 1: Kenny saying, like what people don't know about Mari is
- 19:22Speaker 1: she's like a freak. Like great, that's awesome, good for Mari,
- 19:26Speaker 1: Like do you girl, But like I don't know if
- 19:30Speaker 1: you necessarily want that maybe she does, maybe she doesn't mind,
- 19:33Speaker 1: but like, ont that being said across the eight o'clock
- 19:36Speaker 1: ABC hour. Maybe that's just something that you should keep
- 19:39Speaker 1: between each other. Maybe not. I just feel like it's
- 19:42Speaker 1: it was, it was the whole date was throwing me off. Well,
- 19:45Speaker 1: you and I are both a little bit more conservative
- 19:48Speaker 1: when it comes to that stuff. I think that we
- 19:51Speaker 1: are uncomfortable with if it all depends on the personality,
- 19:54Speaker 1: and I think the two of them are probably actually
- 19:57Speaker 1: pretty comfortable with it. So I mean have to say
- 20:00Speaker 1: that they're not going to be cringing watching it tonight
- 20:03Speaker 1: because their families are probably watching it. Oh my god,
- 20:05Speaker 1: that's what I would be thinking about. It's crazy. And
- 20:09Speaker 1: then the second half was like so sweet, and they
- 20:15Speaker 1: said that they're falling in love with each other, and
- 20:17Speaker 1: it really seemed like Kenny has like never said I
- 20:20Speaker 1: love you before. He said I I don't say that
- 20:23Speaker 1: to humans. I say that to dogs. That's that's sweet. No,
- 20:26Speaker 1: you're right. The second half the day was so sweet,
- 20:28Speaker 1: and you know what, it's been fun to watch their
- 20:30Speaker 1: relationship because it is so different than anything that like
- 20:34Speaker 1: maybe I mean I'm gonna speak for you like that,
- 20:36Speaker 1: you and I are comfortable with it just shows it's
- 20:38Speaker 1: been It's always fun on Paradise to see these different
- 20:40Speaker 1: couples and kind of how they interact and that they
- 20:43Speaker 1: you know, when they get to know each other, like
- 20:45Speaker 1: the kind of dates they set up for each other,
- 20:47Speaker 1: how they speak to each other. Kenny and Mary had
- 20:50Speaker 1: a really sweet evening session, and it makes me think
- 20:52Speaker 1: that there is something very very strong here um and
- 20:56Speaker 1: I hope there an engagement. They're talking engagement, they're talking
- 21:00Speaker 1: future and and they and they feel like they like
- 21:05Speaker 1: you see some depth in it too, like they're both pulling.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Especially with Kenny, you're seeing a depth get pulled out
- 21:10Speaker 1: of him that like I think he had like originally
- 21:13Speaker 1: probably wasn't expecting to like go to you know, he
- 21:16Speaker 1: shows up to the beach naked, kind of having fun,
- 21:18Speaker 1: Like I think he thought this would just be a
- 21:19Speaker 1: good experience. And now you're seeing him like really open up.
- 21:21Speaker 1: And I think that's because of his trust and his
- 21:24Speaker 1: relationship with Mari. He says he's never felt this way before,
- 21:27Speaker 1: and I really actually believe it, even though he's forty.
- 21:31Speaker 1: It's uh, it's it's a relationship to watch. It's one
- 21:34Speaker 1: the root for another relationship going on or a triangle
- 21:37Speaker 1: going on, I don't know what you want to call
- 21:39Speaker 1: it is with Tia. And this is a situation that
- 21:41Speaker 1: I'm super intrigued by because it felt like Tia uh
- 21:45Speaker 1: one on this day with Blake and we we were like,
- 21:47Speaker 1: this was so cute. She was talking about how amazing
- 21:50Speaker 1: it was the vagina dancing and yeah, that's pg R
- 21:54Speaker 1: PG thirteen R thing for this. I want to know
- 21:58Speaker 1: whose idea was to just keep saying that too, and
- 22:01Speaker 1: like how they got over and over over and over
- 22:03Speaker 1: like that, you know, it's it's dancing and we get it.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Girls get it. Yeah, but yeah, it's it's an accurate description,
- 22:13Speaker 1: but like saying it over and over, I'm like, okay,
- 22:16Speaker 1: get it, got it. So this isn't like a new
- 22:19Speaker 1: shocking like revelation that she's like bringing out like all
- 22:21Speaker 1: the girls are watching like, oh yeah, we relate. I
- 22:23Speaker 1: thought this was just like some little like fun things
- 22:26Speaker 1: she was saying. I think they did kind of start
- 22:28Speaker 1: that expression on her season, but like, I think it's
- 22:32Speaker 1: probably just something that like most girls like, we get okay,
- 22:35Speaker 1: Well good for her then, So it's dancing around she's
- 22:38Speaker 1: feeling it um. And then this week we really don't
- 22:41Speaker 1: get any Blake and we saw them talk about this
- 22:43Speaker 1: that like they haven't spoken since their date, which is
- 22:46Speaker 1: just weird to me. I don't know what happened to
- 22:48Speaker 1: cause them to kind of separate, but we see her
- 22:50Speaker 1: super into James, which is almost the opposite of Blake
- 22:54Speaker 1: in a lot of ways, like no tattoos, um, slip
- 22:57Speaker 1: back hare, Like, can we talk about the slip back
- 23:01Speaker 1: hair for a second. It looks good on the beach.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Everybody's talking about the slip back hair, and like, yes,
- 23:06Speaker 1: his brows are overdone too. But then he posted something
- 23:09Speaker 1: on Instagram this week and I really really urge you
- 23:11Speaker 1: guys to go check it out. He goes, this is
- 23:12Speaker 1: the reason that I slicked my hair back, and he
- 23:16Speaker 1: showed us a picture of his natural hair. It's super
- 23:19Speaker 1: it's swoopy, it's got a beautiful color, and I'm all
- 23:24Speaker 1: about it. And I think the guy looks ten years
- 23:27Speaker 1: younger and so much hotter. He think he would have
- 23:31Speaker 1: been like a superstar. He would have been such a
- 23:33Speaker 1: more of a standout if he shows out his hair
- 23:36Speaker 1: like this. So I'm sorry, but if James, if you're listening,
- 23:41Speaker 1: to this, you should definitely start rocking the regular natural
- 23:45Speaker 1: hair looks good. Yeah, I'm looking at it right now.
- 23:47Speaker 1: He looks good. He does. He has the swoop and
- 23:49Speaker 1: for whatever reason, like he doesn't like it because he
- 23:53Speaker 1: pays that thing down to his head. I can't be
- 23:55Speaker 1: comfortable on the beach, Like at some point you think
- 23:57Speaker 1: you just wake up and not do his hair. It's
- 24:00Speaker 1: it's the beach, and I mean it feels like that's
- 24:02Speaker 1: the one time to let it all hang out, like
- 24:04Speaker 1: just do what you know, be all natural on the beach. Well,
- 24:08Speaker 1: so we we do. We see him in Tia connecting,
- 24:10Speaker 1: We see this relationship blossoming, and but it doesn't really
- 24:13Speaker 1: feel like I mean, from my opinion, there's a lot
- 24:16Speaker 1: there and yet only an emotional way for Tea. She says,
- 24:20Speaker 1: not so much in a physical stance. So what's going
- 24:22Speaker 1: on here? Ashley explained to me where we're at with
- 24:24Speaker 1: Tia and what you think is going to happen? Because
- 24:28Speaker 1: I was really thinking this blake thing was was all
- 24:31Speaker 1: was all you know, gonna really last the end? Well,
- 24:36Speaker 1: if we keep following the pattern of the past, well
- 24:39Speaker 1: maybe like Forever Seasons of Paradise, there's gonna be a
- 24:43Speaker 1: rose ceremony. And then the next day, after the rose ceremony,
- 24:47Speaker 1: Wells is probably gonna get everyone together and say, Okay,
- 24:50Speaker 1: if you're not in as serious enough relationship or you
- 24:53Speaker 1: don't see this possibly ending an engagement, you guys should
- 24:56Speaker 1: probably leave. So I think she's gonna end up giving
- 25:00Speaker 1: Actually think she's gonna end up giving James her rose
- 25:02Speaker 1: because I think that Blake annoyed her well enough too
- 25:07Speaker 1: for her to like be like, Okay, you're going to
- 25:09Speaker 1: go against your type right now, and you're gonna go
- 25:11Speaker 1: for like the good guy and not the bad guy.
- 25:14Speaker 1: And then I think they're gonna like basically split up
- 25:17Speaker 1: the next day. I'm shocked because I really think this
- 25:22Speaker 1: was a relationship that I'm just confused by. But boy,
- 25:24Speaker 1: do you think that she was overreacting? No, I don't
- 25:26Speaker 1: think she was overacting. But I want to know, from
- 25:28Speaker 1: like your point of view, do you think she was
- 25:29Speaker 1: overreacting because she liked the gesture, the extra time, like
- 25:34Speaker 1: the feeling of being courted by James, uh, and then
- 25:38Speaker 1: she felt that that Blake didn't give her any special time,
- 25:41Speaker 1: wasn't making an effort. Do you feel like he wasn't
- 25:44Speaker 1: making an effort, and that she it was warranted for
- 25:47Speaker 1: her to get as annoyed as she did with him.
- 25:49Speaker 1: And then he kept saying like, I care about you
- 25:51Speaker 1: so much. You're all I care about. You're all I
- 25:53Speaker 1: care about. And he said it so many times and
- 25:57Speaker 1: in a way that he just felt like defensive that
- 26:00Speaker 1: I actually stopped believing. I didn't believe him anymore. I
- 26:05Speaker 1: really thought like, oh, he just wants to stick around.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Maybe I here's what I think, uh we I didn't
- 26:11Speaker 1: see enough of their relationship to make any type of judgment.
- 26:16Speaker 1: I think it's a two way street. You know. If
- 26:18Speaker 1: there really the issue is, hey, we haven't talked since
- 26:20Speaker 1: our date, well why like both that's both of their issues.
- 26:24Speaker 1: That's not just one of their issues, that's both of
- 26:26Speaker 1: their issues. If the argument was, hey, I came up
- 26:29Speaker 1: to you and you kind of ignored me and I
- 26:30Speaker 1: felt uncomfortable around you, well that's different, but it's both
- 26:33Speaker 1: of their issues there. I do think he was defensive.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I it just felt like there was like miscommunication and
- 26:39Speaker 1: if you really cared about her that much, um, something
- 26:43Speaker 1: happened to where he didn't like pursue her. Um. But
- 26:49Speaker 1: you know on the beach and in today's age, like
- 26:51Speaker 1: they both pursue each other and she it felt like
- 26:54Speaker 1: every scene we saw with her this episode was with
- 26:57Speaker 1: James and so she was obviously pursuing him, yeah, but
- 27:00Speaker 1: not really pursuing. I think she just liked the fact
- 27:02Speaker 1: that he was trying to pursue her. And I think
- 27:04Speaker 1: what she's trying to tell Blake is that she wants
- 27:06Speaker 1: like an old fashioned type scenario where the guy is
- 27:09Speaker 1: really pursuing her. It's fair and maybe they just weren't
- 27:12Speaker 1: seeing that. Um. I don't know. If I didn't see
- 27:15Speaker 1: enough to say, oh this, somebody was in the wrong there.
- 27:17Speaker 1: It was more confusing to me. Like I said, I
- 27:20Speaker 1: just don't understand what happened. Well, speaking of confusing, we
- 27:24Speaker 1: did touch on and the next scene in the show
- 27:27Speaker 1: was with Morris and Riley, and it was confusing up
- 27:30Speaker 1: to this point because we thought they had something very strong.
- 27:35Speaker 1: It felt like it was falling apart. And this is
- 27:37Speaker 1: where we see Riley, as we mentioned earlier, open up,
- 27:39Speaker 1: and I felt like, as a viewer, their relationship took
- 27:43Speaker 1: another step forward. Um. That's why I'm still confused by
- 27:47Speaker 1: the sneak peak where we see her kissing somebody else.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I don't know where that came from or if it
- 27:50Speaker 1: will ever come up, but I do feel like after
- 27:54Speaker 1: this scene, I'm thinking they're in a good place again,
- 27:56Speaker 1: like this is this is a strong relationship one thousand percent.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I only feel good about it. So again, we have
- 28:03Speaker 1: to note it that we saw a sneak that she's
- 28:06Speaker 1: kissing somebody else where does that happen? And how anxious
- 28:11Speaker 1: do I need to be waiting for the next week
- 28:12Speaker 1: to see when that happens. I'm telling you, they don't
- 28:16Speaker 1: give us this part. We are robbed. We have to
- 28:20Speaker 1: then that'll be our first question whenever we do interview
- 28:23Speaker 1: Riley or Marissa. It's a big deal. Okay, should we
- 28:26Speaker 1: talk about the storm and how stupid that storyline was?
- 28:29Speaker 1: It was weird. Yeah, I don't know if we need
- 28:31Speaker 1: to talk about it right like so, but I think
- 28:33Speaker 1: we have to talk about it because it was so weird,
- 28:36Speaker 1: Like they make a big spectacle of it. Our friends,
- 28:39Speaker 1: our friends Louie and Peter come in and it's very exciting.
- 28:42Speaker 1: When you see the producers on TV. They have the
- 28:45Speaker 1: are showing the whole camera crew and everybody together and
- 28:47Speaker 1: they make it seem like it's so serious, like there's
- 28:49Speaker 1: an actual hurricane, like a tornado. It is just gonna
- 28:52Speaker 1: like show up on the beach, and then they pack up,
- 28:55Speaker 1: they get out, and then all of a sudden, the
- 28:57Speaker 1: next scene is them walking back in. They didn't say
- 29:00Speaker 1: anything about what happened that night. Could they at least
- 29:02Speaker 1: could at least just gotten one little interview clip where
- 29:05Speaker 1: somebody said, oh, we went to the hotel for the night.
- 29:08Speaker 1: The girls and the guy say it separated. Um, we
- 29:10Speaker 1: had a nice night of like being able to get
- 29:12Speaker 1: a normal shower and sleep in air conditioning. Yeah, it
- 29:15Speaker 1: would have been good because it felt the gas. Yeah,
- 29:17Speaker 1: it was a very weird transition. But I don't know
- 29:19Speaker 1: if you caught picked up on this, but we do
- 29:22Speaker 1: see with Ivan, um he is talking about how something
- 29:26Speaker 1: happened over you know, their overnight, and so it would
- 29:32Speaker 1: have been nice to make that more of a storyline
- 29:33Speaker 1: because I feel like I almost forgot that storm even
- 29:35Speaker 1: happened during this, like until you just brought it up.
- 29:38Speaker 1: But now I feel like, you know, in the next
- 29:40Speaker 1: episode it is going to play a part in a relationship.
- 29:43Speaker 1: It's the only reason I could think that they kept
- 29:46Speaker 1: that in is my best gas is that he ends
- 29:50Speaker 1: up talking to Chelsea. Oh so we just need to
- 29:53Speaker 1: be there, We at least need to have context that, hey,
- 29:55Speaker 1: they left the beach because it's going to be such
- 29:57Speaker 1: a storyline that Yeah, yeah, okay, okay, fair enough, that
- 30:00Speaker 1: makes sense. Well, so I guess the last big thing
- 30:03Speaker 1: to talk about is Aaron and Chelsea and Ivan and
- 30:06Speaker 1: that in that whole love triangle that happens during the
- 30:09Speaker 1: cocktail party. Yeah yeah, I mean, um, Aaron, you know
- 30:14Speaker 1: Aaron Is. I don't know Aaron. Um, Aaron. He's always
- 30:17Speaker 1: so angry, but he's always so mad. Um, He's always
- 30:22Speaker 1: so mad, and he's mad at everybody. And uh, it's
- 30:26Speaker 1: at some point like we have to like call it
- 30:28Speaker 1: out right, I mean it loves confrontation. Yeah, it's happened
- 30:32Speaker 1: how many times during this season already four three, four
- 30:35Speaker 1: times and his bachelor seas so at some point we
- 30:39Speaker 1: have to say, like, this dude just likes to confront
- 30:42Speaker 1: people and he feels like it's anything to do. Well,
- 30:45Speaker 1: he does it with Ivan, Ivan doesn't step down from it.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Is it weird that Ivan walks over to the couch
- 30:51Speaker 1: and starts kiss with Chelsea. Maybe maybe not, especially if
- 30:55Speaker 1: there is some storyline here about their time together during
- 30:58Speaker 1: the storm, then it may sense on why they you know,
- 31:03Speaker 1: have this connection. Uh, and maybe Aaron's just catching up
- 31:07Speaker 1: with it. But again to me, and and you're teaching
- 31:10Speaker 1: you've taught me this actually during the season, it's paradise.
- 31:13Speaker 1: This stuff happens. Like you can't get mad. I mean,
- 31:15Speaker 1: you can get hurt, you can be like, it can
- 31:18Speaker 1: feel hard and awkward, but you can't get like visibly
- 31:22Speaker 1: angry because you're kind of agreeing to it. Ben, you
- 31:25Speaker 1: just put it perfectly. He could be super angry invent
- 31:29Speaker 1: to James, but him being like, Yo, you stole my girl,
- 31:32Speaker 1: blah blah blah, like she wasn't your girl yesterday when
- 31:34Speaker 1: she went on a date with another guy. Like come on,
- 31:39Speaker 1: I don't know. Aaron just like his attitude and like
- 31:41Speaker 1: the Brook everything's like yo, dude, man, Like it's just
- 31:46Speaker 1: like so old for me. I'm just like, even if
- 31:50Speaker 1: it maybe looks like Ivan is from out maybe looking
- 31:53Speaker 1: for a rose, I don't think there's much of difference
- 31:55Speaker 1: with Aaron. Uh, I don't. I'm I'm team Ivan in
- 31:59Speaker 1: this situation. This is totally quote legal. Yeah, what happens
- 32:06Speaker 1: all day long. Well that's why I'm confused. Like, you know,
- 32:10Speaker 1: you get angry, he's angry, he's mad, he's like he's
- 32:12Speaker 1: almost getting entering into a physical altercation because of this.
- 32:17Speaker 1: And what you've told me and what you've taught all
- 32:18Speaker 1: of us as we listen and follow from you, is like,
- 32:21Speaker 1: this stuff just happens in Paradise. You have to be
- 32:23Speaker 1: some level okay with it. It's the weirdness of it all,
- 32:27Speaker 1: especially if you know the two of you haven't had
- 32:30Speaker 1: a conversation that says, hey, this is it. We're not
- 32:32Speaker 1: going to date other people. Uh, you know, I could
- 32:35Speaker 1: see him being like upset, but they don't. They're not
- 32:38Speaker 1: on that level, and so there's nothing to be upset about.
- 32:42Speaker 1: But it is how this ends, um. And then we
- 32:46Speaker 1: get the steep for next week or for the rest
- 32:48Speaker 1: of the season, and in two weeks we see people
- 32:52Speaker 1: get engaged. We see Kaylin and Dean show up. Um Becca,
- 32:56Speaker 1: who we haven't seen a lot from yet on Paradise,
- 32:58Speaker 1: is having these internal battle Riley asked if um if
- 33:03Speaker 1: Merissa wants this thing to continue, which as a storyline,
- 33:06Speaker 1: as we've mentioned, we're following and Kenny is packing his bag.
- 33:10Speaker 1: So Ashley, I ask you, does anybody leave here together?
- 33:14Speaker 1: Does anybody get engaged? Actually? Or is this thing just
- 33:19Speaker 1: I mean, for the first time, has it ever happened
- 33:21Speaker 1: where nobody's gotten engaged in Paradise? No, that's never happened.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Could we Could it happened this season? Did that happen?
- 33:27Speaker 1: I think it happened during the Korean season. You know
- 33:29Speaker 1: that this season that everything is shut down for a
- 33:32Speaker 1: bit because Raven and Adam and then Derek got engaged
- 33:39Speaker 1: that season, and Taylor got inkage that season, but it
- 33:42Speaker 1: wasn't until after the fact, but they got like an
- 33:46Speaker 1: excuse for that because they weren't there the entire time
- 33:48Speaker 1: and there was like an abbreviated season. I think people
- 33:51Speaker 1: are going to get engaged. I feel like Joe and
- 33:53Speaker 1: Serina are very steady. But I'm still like, even though
- 33:58Speaker 1: I've been through the process and like I have Tanner,
- 34:00Speaker 1: who you know, have been married for it's gonna be
- 34:03Speaker 1: six years in January, it's already six years, you know,
- 34:05Speaker 1: I think it's already six years. I still think it's
- 34:08Speaker 1: so hard to believe, to be like, I'm going to
- 34:10Speaker 1: put a ring on the finger. Now after this, because
- 34:14Speaker 1: it's only three and a half weeks, I mean during
- 34:16Speaker 1: the Bachelor and Bachelor Wrette, I know you have a
- 34:18Speaker 1: longer it's like a longer stretch of time, but you
- 34:20Speaker 1: actually have less one on one time. But it's still
- 34:23Speaker 1: like mind boggling that these people are saying, I'm falling
- 34:26Speaker 1: in love with you right now, and then next week
- 34:28Speaker 1: they're going to get engaged. It's it is wild. It's
- 34:33Speaker 1: been crazy to watch. I think Jade Tanner ha been
- 34:35Speaker 1: married for five years now. It was January two, sixteen
- 34:42Speaker 1: that they got married. Yeah. Yeah, so, um, well, actually
- 34:48Speaker 1: when we come back, we're have Tatia Adams on uh
- 34:51Speaker 1: to just kind of talk about everything good in Bachelor Nation.
- 34:55Speaker 1: She's in the middle of it all right now, and
- 34:57Speaker 1: to also talk about the I heart fest that she
- 34:59Speaker 1: just got back from. Uh it sounds like an incredible time.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Our team behind the scenes here, uh went as well, Uh,
- 35:07Speaker 1: this is the first year that actually you and I
- 35:09Speaker 1: have missed in what four years? Five years? And it
- 35:11Speaker 1: was weird to not be there, but we've missed it.
- 35:13Speaker 1: You can't wait to get back, Yes, we did. All right, Well,
- 35:17Speaker 1: let's get all the dirty deets from her right after this. Hi, guys,
- 35:32Speaker 1: I want to get this started with one thing and
- 35:34Speaker 1: one thing only. Um East and one of our producers said, Hey,
- 35:37Speaker 1: he wasn't exactly with you at the I Heart Festival,
- 35:40Speaker 1: but he was out in the pit area. You were there,
- 35:43Speaker 1: and you came up and said hi to him, which
- 35:44Speaker 1: made him look really cool and it made him feel
- 35:47Speaker 1: very special, and so it makes us feel very special
- 35:50Speaker 1: right there he is, Yeah, that's him, beautiful man, he is,
- 35:53Speaker 1: he is. He looked great at My Heart Festival. I
- 35:57Speaker 1: know I saw you because I had him seeming in people.
- 35:59Speaker 1: I saw Danielle. But um, it was different not having
- 36:02Speaker 1: you guys all with me this year. So it was fun.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Though we missed. We missed it. I know, Tasia. How
- 36:08Speaker 1: is the weekend? How is Vegas anything to report besides
- 36:13Speaker 1: the Eastern running. Yeah, honestly, I honestly think that I
- 36:18Speaker 1: Heart has the best music festivals. I feel like the
- 36:21Speaker 1: performances are always great, the energy is amazing. Um and
- 36:27Speaker 1: you know, you know what this was. It was the
- 36:29Speaker 1: first public appearance Sac and I made together, which is
- 36:32Speaker 1: so weird to um realized, just because the COVID like
- 36:37Speaker 1: we hadn't gone to anything together, so like MTV, he
- 36:41Speaker 1: actually had like a release thing that weekend, so he
- 36:43Speaker 1: wasn't able to go with me. But like when I
- 36:45Speaker 1: did a m as, we were still like in hiding
- 36:46Speaker 1: and then everything else, we've kind of had like a
- 36:49Speaker 1: limited capacity issue because of COVID. So this is our
- 36:53Speaker 1: first time we've like flown somewhere for an event and
- 36:56Speaker 1: got to like hang out and enjoy it, which is
- 36:58Speaker 1: so bizarre. Did it feel sparkly, Yes, it was. Actually
- 37:02Speaker 1: it was a lot of fun. We danced the night away,
- 37:05Speaker 1: especially on Friday night, and it was it was so funny.
- 37:08Speaker 1: I was like bopping there and I was like, I
- 37:09Speaker 1: don't think I've ever had so much fun out of
- 37:11Speaker 1: content before it. But I think it's just because we
- 37:12Speaker 1: haven't had any music musical festivals or like a concert
- 37:16Speaker 1: in two years. Yeah, that's interesting because too, Like that
- 37:20Speaker 1: was Jessica and I first like event together UM really
- 37:25Speaker 1: and we had a great time. Like I'm I'll be honest,
- 37:27Speaker 1: like sometimes these things aren't that tight, like I don't
- 37:29Speaker 1: love them like it feels, you know, but the I
- 37:32Speaker 1: heart like fest was a blast for us to be
- 37:34Speaker 1: at UM and one of the cool parts too, is
- 37:37Speaker 1: because like when we went what was that she's two
- 37:40Speaker 1: years ago now, Jessica still didn't really this is her
- 37:43Speaker 1: first interview that she's ever done on like camera, was
- 37:46Speaker 1: at that festival, and she was so nervous and so confused,
- 37:49Speaker 1: and she also didn't understand like My World at all,
- 37:52Speaker 1: Like she hadn't watched the season, she didn't wasn't a
- 37:54Speaker 1: big fan of the show. She she she was so
- 37:55Speaker 1: oblivious to it all. And we're back in the green
- 37:58Speaker 1: room and then you have all those like huge names
- 38:01Speaker 1: that go back there and grab a snack or a
- 38:03Speaker 1: drink before they perform or before they present. So I
- 38:06Speaker 1: gotta ask you, was there anybody this year that you
- 38:09Speaker 1: saw that you kind of like got star struck by?
- 38:11Speaker 1: Because it happens to me every time I'm at my
- 38:13Speaker 1: heart fest with without a doubt. I mean honestly, Billie
- 38:17Speaker 1: Eilish just like made me kind of like stop in
- 38:19Speaker 1: my trucks. Um. I just think she's so beyond talented
- 38:23Speaker 1: the fact that she is nineteen years old and you
- 38:25Speaker 1: would have never guessed that is mind blowing to me. Um.
- 38:31Speaker 1: And also Kaleid As I presented to Kaleed, he is
- 38:33Speaker 1: someone that I have kind of followed since the very beginning.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I remember when his first single came out. I don't
- 38:38Speaker 1: even know how I found him, but I have kind
- 38:39Speaker 1: of just followed his success, and that was like, really, um,
- 38:43Speaker 1: cereal should be presenting to him, but um, who else?
- 38:46Speaker 1: Kind of just like shocked me and trying to think,
- 38:51Speaker 1: you present who did you present with? I presented with
- 38:53Speaker 1: Big Boy UM and young Blood and Big Boys a
- 38:59Speaker 1: crazy per since to have by my side because growing up,
- 39:02Speaker 1: like my dad listened to a Big Boy UM on
- 39:05Speaker 1: the radio every single morning taking me to school, So
- 39:08Speaker 1: I've grown up with his voice, like you know, in
- 39:11Speaker 1: the car and like my dad talking about him. So
- 39:13Speaker 1: the fact that he was right there next to me
- 39:15Speaker 1: UM was really cool. But young Blood is actually a
- 39:17Speaker 1: person that I just kind of discovered. I had no
- 39:21Speaker 1: idea who he was, but the impact that he's made
- 39:25Speaker 1: on his community UM has been incredible. So he's definitely
- 39:29Speaker 1: something I kind of want to start following a little
- 39:30Speaker 1: bit more. I'm super intrigued by young Blood. I've I've
- 39:33Speaker 1: known of young Blood, followed young Blood story for a while,
- 39:36Speaker 1: and like he's one of those people that like just
- 39:38Speaker 1: captivates me like I could go on and on and
- 39:41Speaker 1: read more and more stories about him, just because like
- 39:45Speaker 1: he's so different than me, so different. So explain, like
- 39:50Speaker 1: if you can help me out, Like what was your
- 39:51Speaker 1: interaction with the young Blood? Like, truthfully, it was pretty minimal. Again,
- 39:55Speaker 1: there's still a lot of COVID stuff. But he just
- 39:58Speaker 1: walked up to me, was like, hello, love, and he's like,
- 40:03Speaker 1: you like dashing today? How are you doing? I was
- 40:05Speaker 1: just like, oh my god, I don't know what you're saying, really,
- 40:08Speaker 1: but I just you know, anybody with an accent, they
- 40:11Speaker 1: just like are ten times more intriguing, you know what
- 40:13Speaker 1: I mean. But he had just come offset I guess
- 40:17Speaker 1: he like had had a concert maybe like three hours
- 40:20Speaker 1: prior um in Atlanta, and it was just I don't know,
- 40:23Speaker 1: he's just very busy, but he just seemed very sweet,
- 40:27Speaker 1: very kind. But it was more to the people that
- 40:29Speaker 1: were surrounding him that kind of had told me a
- 40:30Speaker 1: little bit more about him, and um, just I'm just
- 40:34Speaker 1: fascinated by him. So and Big Boy also talked so
- 40:38Speaker 1: highly of him, and he's just like, it's so great
- 40:39Speaker 1: the work that you're doing. And it's just I don't know,
- 40:42Speaker 1: he just he kind of slip me off my feet.
- 40:44Speaker 1: I need to submerge myself. But you also have to realize, like,
- 40:47Speaker 1: I've also been kind of in this weird bubble for
- 40:49Speaker 1: the last year, truthfully, like where you go away for
- 40:52Speaker 1: a couple of months at a time where you don't
- 40:54Speaker 1: really listen to music. So I haven't really been introduced
- 40:56Speaker 1: to a lot of like the mainstream. Let's talk about that.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I know, we want to chat about this bubble bubble.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I have to just like cut to the chase because
- 41:08Speaker 1: we know the rumors that Clayton at eckerd Um is
- 41:13Speaker 1: going to be the next Bachelor. You know, there are
- 41:15Speaker 1: pictures of him filming in his hometown, and we know
- 41:20Speaker 1: that he's part of this Michelle of Michelle's cast. I
- 41:23Speaker 1: got to know if he stood out to you immediately
- 41:26Speaker 1: the way that he supposedly stood out to the producers. Um.
- 41:31Speaker 1: I do remember Clayton's entrance, and I do remember like
- 41:37Speaker 1: there was something about him. Um, he had a great presence.
- 41:39Speaker 1: And so I mean because Caitlin and I we kind
- 41:42Speaker 1: of hide in the bushes. Um, we obviously don't go
- 41:45Speaker 1: very far away from our bachelor. So we watch everybody
- 41:49Speaker 1: and we obviously try to make those first impression like
- 41:53Speaker 1: reactions and try to like figure out who is on
- 41:56Speaker 1: our top five and whatnot. But he was definitely someone
- 41:58Speaker 1: that I do remember night one and then um, as
- 42:01Speaker 1: the season kind of gone on, he was I don't know,
- 42:03Speaker 1: he's really cool. I don't I don't hang out too
- 42:06Speaker 1: much with the guys. It's kind of like me, Michelle
- 42:08Speaker 1: and Caitlin. So so let's talk about Michelle for a second. Also,
- 42:12Speaker 1: I want to hear from you, like, um, this is
- 42:14Speaker 1: your your second time hosting a season. Did it feel
- 42:18Speaker 1: different that Night one feel different than to you than
- 42:20Speaker 1: it did with Katie? Like were you more nervous, less nervous?
- 42:23Speaker 1: Was it as exciting? Like walk us through what you
- 42:26Speaker 1: were feeling. I'm super intrigued. As the host for the
- 42:29Speaker 1: second Girl Round, Well, this season was a little different
- 42:32Speaker 1: because now I kind of do have that title as host.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Before we were kind of mentors, and so I don't
- 42:38Speaker 1: really think any of us knew what that really meant.
- 42:41Speaker 1: And so I remember Caitly and I were standing on
- 42:44Speaker 1: that platform on Katie season being like, so like what
- 42:47Speaker 1: do we do? Like we have no idea what was
- 42:49Speaker 1: going on? And the producers had no idea either, and
- 42:51Speaker 1: so we kind of just made it our own. This year,
- 42:54Speaker 1: it was kind of more of like, um, well we're
- 42:58Speaker 1: back at it, let's introduce the guys, let's introduce our girl,
- 43:01Speaker 1: and we kind of had a little bit more rhythm
- 43:03Speaker 1: if you will. Um. But also we kind of just
- 43:08Speaker 1: let Michelle just do her thing. Um. She kind of
- 43:11Speaker 1: came to us when she wanted to, as opposed to
- 43:13Speaker 1: like us checking in every like you know, fifteen minutes. Um.
- 43:18Speaker 1: But I have to say she is such an amazing,
- 43:22Speaker 1: like level headed, well rounded individual that she didn't need
- 43:26Speaker 1: too much help. M I wonder why that is? Like, well,
- 43:31Speaker 1: I mean and then Ashley, I'll stop talking because I
- 43:33Speaker 1: know you have a lot of questions too, but like why,
- 43:36Speaker 1: like what do you think that is? And are you
- 43:38Speaker 1: starting to see now two seasons in like the difference
- 43:41Speaker 1: in leads and the difference in kind of the the
- 43:44Speaker 1: vibe of the show based on the lead, where like Katie,
- 43:47Speaker 1: it felt like you guys were around a lot. There
- 43:49Speaker 1: was like I don't want to say any closer or
- 43:52Speaker 1: less close. We haven't seen Michelle's season with you, but
- 43:54Speaker 1: like you're around a lot, So what do you think
- 43:56Speaker 1: it was that made you this season kind of say, hey,
- 43:58Speaker 1: she doesn't need us as much. You know, I think that, Um, well,
- 44:04Speaker 1: there's a couple of factors. Number one covid um that
- 44:08Speaker 1: was kind of different than we were like in just
- 44:10Speaker 1: a bubble, we couldn't really have any like outside talent
- 44:14Speaker 1: come in. This year, we might have a little or
- 44:16Speaker 1: this season we might have a little bit more of that,
- 44:18Speaker 1: which kind of like you know, made us kind of
- 44:20Speaker 1: take a back seat and let us let her have
- 44:22Speaker 1: fun on her dates. But truthfully, I also think it's
- 44:26Speaker 1: just like how comfortable the lead is and and and
- 44:28Speaker 1: how much help did they want or um, if they
- 44:32Speaker 1: are struggling, if there's drama with the guys, that also
- 44:36Speaker 1: plays a huge part um, and sometimes people just want
- 44:40Speaker 1: to talk things through. I mean, I know for me
- 44:43Speaker 1: when I was bachelorette, I really valued that girl time
- 44:46Speaker 1: when I did get it, and I think Katie did too.
- 44:49Speaker 1: But I think, um, with Michelle, she was just she
- 44:54Speaker 1: kind of just knew what she wanted. Like she she's
- 44:57Speaker 1: also a teacher, you know what I mean. So she's
- 44:58Speaker 1: pretty again level headed and she um pretty realistic. She
- 45:04Speaker 1: doesn't really kind of like she takes you for face value,
- 45:07Speaker 1: she doesn't really read too into it. She also kind
- 45:09Speaker 1: of weeds out who's kind of a drama starter, and
- 45:12Speaker 1: not because she's good at doing that. Um, I don't know,
- 45:16Speaker 1: she was kind of just really independent. We saw Katie
- 45:19Speaker 1: just eliminate guys the second that they seemed like drama starters.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Does that happen again this season or or do we
- 45:26Speaker 1: get more like the guys that like kind of like
- 45:29Speaker 1: last week after week and we're not sure why. I
- 45:31Speaker 1: think if this group of guys are a little bit
- 45:33Speaker 1: and more um, they're a little bit older, but also
- 45:37Speaker 1: at the same time, there's drama starting day one, but
- 45:40Speaker 1: Michelle does not play like okay, they'll see the door
- 45:45Speaker 1: pretty quickly. So um, and I just think that the
- 45:49Speaker 1: guys really respected her too, and so like when she
- 45:52Speaker 1: did kind of confront the first situation or two, like
- 45:55Speaker 1: they kind of kneel like, oh shoot, she means business
- 45:58Speaker 1: and she's not playing around. So um, it's let's just
- 46:03Speaker 1: say night one. It's going to get very interesting. The
- 46:08Speaker 1: guys think that they have a little wiggle room and
- 46:10Speaker 1: they don't. I love it. I can't wait to see
- 46:13Speaker 1: like a teacher as a lead I'm sure there's been
- 46:16Speaker 1: a teacher as a lead before. I can't remember, but like,
- 46:19Speaker 1: I don't know, but I just feel like a teacher.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Like they're they're patient, they do they read through the
- 46:25Speaker 1: BS well, they don't like chaos doesn't really bother them,
- 46:29Speaker 1: Like it doesn't like fluster them. And then like, especially
- 46:33Speaker 1: as the lead and knowing your role, I just have
- 46:36Speaker 1: this feeling that Michelle will put like these dudes in
- 46:39Speaker 1: their place and the like, I think it's awesome. I
- 46:42Speaker 1: think it's I think it's gonna be hilarious. Now, Tasia,
- 46:46Speaker 1: this Michelle season has a two episode of The Bachelor. Okay,
- 46:51Speaker 1: so it's huge. Um, and you know you're your Bachelor
- 46:56Speaker 1: franchise story is a little different than some You're you're
- 47:00Speaker 1: on a season. Um, you know Paradise, took some time off,
- 47:04Speaker 1: came back as a bachelorette. Now you've been the now
- 47:08Speaker 1: you're the host. You were a mentor, which I don't
- 47:10Speaker 1: know what the difference is. I don't know if anybody does,
- 47:13Speaker 1: but I mean, what is this meant to you? Like
- 47:16Speaker 1: overlast I don't know how many years of your life
- 47:18Speaker 1: now four years of your life, three years of your life,
- 47:20Speaker 1: Like what is this franchise meant to you? What is
- 47:22Speaker 1: The Bachelorette meant to you? Truthfully, I feel like, UM,
- 47:27Speaker 1: the franchise as a whole has really made me grow
- 47:33Speaker 1: up and really, um become the woman that I am today.
- 47:36Speaker 1: I feel like I found a lot of my confidence.
- 47:38Speaker 1: I feel like, um, I have found a sense of
- 47:44Speaker 1: what I finally is important in my life and like
- 47:47Speaker 1: how I want to impact the world. I always knew
- 47:49Speaker 1: that I wanted to, but um, I feel like it's
- 47:52Speaker 1: my life before the Bachelor, Like I was kind of
- 47:54Speaker 1: like floating around and I didn't really I was gonna
- 47:56Speaker 1: go back to school to be a p A because
- 47:58Speaker 1: I had just gotten out of a barious relationships. So
- 48:01Speaker 1: it was kind of like I didn't really know what
- 48:02Speaker 1: to call my own. I didn't really have anything that
- 48:04Speaker 1: was me. And now I think this really pushes you
- 48:07Speaker 1: to be you and authentically you, and if you're somebody
- 48:11Speaker 1: else you can see it well either on the screen
- 48:13Speaker 1: or people are going to tell you you're being fake,
- 48:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So it's really just made
- 48:17Speaker 1: me kind of grow into the woman that I am
- 48:19Speaker 1: and um, but also being a host now I hope
- 48:25Speaker 1: to have an impact on the diversity of the cast,
- 48:29Speaker 1: but also the longevity of these relationships. If I can,
- 48:33Speaker 1: you know, kind of breathe in some advice to any
- 48:37Speaker 1: of these, um, newer couples or any of the guys
- 48:40Speaker 1: looking for love and the girls looking for love. I
- 48:42Speaker 1: feel like it's just there's a lot of advice that
- 48:45Speaker 1: can be given, especially after you leave Okay, so perfect transition,
- 48:53Speaker 1: and to the advice that you would give your old
- 48:56Speaker 1: friend Brendan for what you went through with it Paradise,
- 48:59Speaker 1: and if you were shocked by this behavior, because it
- 49:02Speaker 1: just seemed like such a one eight from the Brennan
- 49:04Speaker 1: that we saw on your season. Oh God, we're gonna
- 49:09Speaker 1: get into this Okay. So, um was I shocked? I
- 49:14Speaker 1: mean I think everyone was shocked. I don't think anybody
- 49:16Speaker 1: could have ever predicted that somebody was gonna act that
- 49:20Speaker 1: way in Paradise. I'm not gonna really even give any
- 49:22Speaker 1: more adjectives to that, but um, I did have a
- 49:27Speaker 1: kind of a gut feeling in the middle of my season.
- 49:29Speaker 1: I've never really kind of like said this, but um,
- 49:33Speaker 1: there is something that was a little off, and there
- 49:36Speaker 1: was something that I kind of felt like he was
- 49:38Speaker 1: kind of pulling away once he got kind of serious. Um,
- 49:41Speaker 1: there were some dates where he was just like I
- 49:43Speaker 1: would say, like are you excited to meet my family?
- 49:46Speaker 1: And there was a lot of detective date where it
- 49:48Speaker 1: said like are you excited to introduce Tasia to your family?
- 49:51Speaker 1: He said something and the live detective said that was
- 49:54Speaker 1: actually false and so it's like there was like little
- 49:56Speaker 1: red flags that I started to see and it just
- 50:00Speaker 1: something felt off. And um, I will say that I
- 50:07Speaker 1: felt like I was being told one thing and then
- 50:09Speaker 1: the fillings were different. Um. So that's my experience with him.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Was I shocked to see his actions absolute I I
- 50:21Speaker 1: would have never thought that that would have happened or
- 50:24Speaker 1: he was when that person. But I have to say
- 50:26Speaker 1: I feel like, um, I'm glad everything worked out the
- 50:29Speaker 1: way that it did for myself. And UM, I wasn't
- 50:33Speaker 1: on you know, the receiving end of anything like that.
- 50:36Speaker 1: But I don't know. It's a messy out there in Paradise,
- 50:40Speaker 1: you know it is. And maybe every season they need
- 50:43Speaker 1: to have a light detector day. I forgot about that. That
- 50:45Speaker 1: That was a good point because it really brought up
- 50:47Speaker 1: some like stuff that now we're seeing to be true,
- 50:49Speaker 1: Like then you watch you like whatever, I think, we
- 50:51Speaker 1: don't really know what this stuff means. Now you're seeing
- 50:53Speaker 1: the behavior of some of those people and you're like,
- 50:55Speaker 1: oh no, like that worked, like seeing they're like these
- 51:01Speaker 1: silly dates and whatnot. But I remember like that and
- 51:04Speaker 1: I felt like something was just a little off. And
- 51:06Speaker 1: I don't know if it aired in my interview at
- 51:09Speaker 1: that time, but like I definitely said it. I said
- 51:12Speaker 1: there was something kind of off. Today. I feel like
- 51:15Speaker 1: we've hit a kind of a climax and it's there's
- 51:17Speaker 1: something preventing us from moving forward. And I don't know
- 51:20Speaker 1: exactly what that was. It must have hurt you because
- 51:23Speaker 1: you're tight with Natasha, who's your co host there um,
- 51:27Speaker 1: and I mean she has just risen above all the grossness,
- 51:31Speaker 1: which we love for her. But I also want to
- 51:33Speaker 1: talk about your other co host in your podcast, which
- 51:36Speaker 1: is Joe, and what he's gone through now with Kendall
- 51:39Speaker 1: and and how you feel about like that kind of
- 51:43Speaker 1: love triangle ish, like do you you think Kendall should
- 51:46Speaker 1: have showed up? Do you feel like Serena is a
- 51:49Speaker 1: better fit for him? You know, I have to say this, Um,
- 51:55Speaker 1: if I were Kendall, I would have I would have
- 51:58Speaker 1: always regretted not trying, you know, at the end of
- 52:01Speaker 1: the day. Um. But I also think that Joe navigated
- 52:04Speaker 1: it very well. I think that he was very kind
- 52:08Speaker 1: and very sweet, even when Kendall would break it down
- 52:10Speaker 1: to him. Um, he was very comforting to her. But
- 52:13Speaker 1: he was also very honest. And I think that Joe
- 52:15Speaker 1: gave himself a chance. I think it. Joe even said, like,
- 52:18Speaker 1: if Kendall would have approached him before Paradise, that's what
- 52:21Speaker 1: I was, was like the fatal like I just like
- 52:26Speaker 1: now I just watch in frustration, knowing it could have
- 52:29Speaker 1: been different for her. But see, that's the thing though, Uh,
- 52:34Speaker 1: that's why you have to be honest with yourself and
- 52:36Speaker 1: like not play games with things. If you want to
- 52:38Speaker 1: be with someone, go freaking tell them. I don't understand
- 52:40Speaker 1: why people wait work it out, like and she and
- 52:45Speaker 1: it was so sad, she said in the car, like
- 52:47Speaker 1: Joe's my person. But Joe was also really happy with Serena,
- 52:51Speaker 1: So like I was, I can't fault him for falling
- 52:54Speaker 1: his heart. What's meant to people be in this situation?
- 52:57Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, like if he and Arena
- 53:00Speaker 1: are meant to you, know live the rest of their
- 53:02Speaker 1: lives together. It was this was meant to be. And
- 53:06Speaker 1: if and if they don't, then maybe Joe will think
- 53:08Speaker 1: about Kendall down the road. Oh boy, I have no idea,
- 53:12Speaker 1: but on TV, he say, should we know you're busy.
- 53:20Speaker 1: We appreciate you. We're gonna let you go here. Thank
- 53:22Speaker 1: you for joining us, Thanks for coming on, thanks for
- 53:24Speaker 1: talking everything, Paradise, the upcoming season, your life at I
- 53:27Speaker 1: heart fast, um, I wish you the best, keep shining
- 53:29Speaker 1: bright and uh we'll talk to you soon. Thanks, guys,
- 53:32Speaker 1: We'll see you later. By you. It's time for Bachelor headlines.
- 53:37Speaker 1: It's a big deal for us. Actually, I want to
- 53:39Speaker 1: start this out by asking you a question that I
- 53:40Speaker 1: don't know that I texted you last night about didn't
- 53:44Speaker 1: answer me. So I'm gonna ask you on the podcast.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Straight up, I did answer you. Oh you did answer me.
- 53:48Speaker 1: That's right, Yeah, I forgot. Okay, Well, anyways, I'm still
- 53:50Speaker 1: gonna ask you because I want to talk it through
- 53:52Speaker 1: with you. We have no clue. The next host of
- 53:54Speaker 1: the Bachelor is right is Tastia and Kaitlin. The host
- 53:57Speaker 1: of this of this upcoming Bachelor season UM is Jesse Palmer,
- 54:03Speaker 1: like we just recently had Like I've heard that there's
- 54:07Speaker 1: some rumors there about the Jesse Palmer and actually I'd
- 54:10Speaker 1: be pretty down with that choice. So we'll see. They've
- 54:13Speaker 1: used them for a few shows now at this point though,
- 54:15Speaker 1: like they love Jesse Palmer. Yeah, I mean think about it.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Didn't like this n z K used him for that
- 54:22Speaker 1: one weird dating show that came out a few years ago.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Oh that's right, and now the Ultimate Surfer. I just
- 54:28Speaker 1: feel like it's kind of a build up. Yeah, it would.
- 54:31Speaker 1: I mean, it feels like a build up. I I
- 54:35Speaker 1: wouldn't be shocked, obviously, he was an incredible guest a
- 54:38Speaker 1: few weeks ago to us, Um, super nice guy. Not
- 54:42Speaker 1: gonna be shocked, just a little surprised, Like he wasn't
- 54:45Speaker 1: a he wasn't even in my top five people that
- 54:49Speaker 1: I thought would get the gig um he was in.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I've been thinking about him. Yeah, OK, fair enough. I
- 54:55Speaker 1: mean I'm thinking about him. But I definitely thought they
- 54:56Speaker 1: were going to go with more of a splashy celebrity
- 55:00Speaker 1: unless of a Bachelor alum slash host that like you know, host,
- 55:05Speaker 1: like a traditional host. Um, So we don't know yet,
- 55:08Speaker 1: nothing confirmed, just the rumors. Something looking too. I'm just
- 55:12Speaker 1: surprised because they've obviously kind of started filming, uh this
- 55:15Speaker 1: upcoming season, and uh, well, you would think the host
- 55:18Speaker 1: would have been leaked or announced at this point. I
- 55:20Speaker 1: don't know why it wouldn't. It's just super weird that
- 55:21Speaker 1: it's not. Well, heways, Okay, let's dive into it. The
- 55:24Speaker 1: Bachelor producers chose Clayton. If you haven't heard this, uh
- 55:27Speaker 1: Etchard as the lead. He stood out right off the bat.
- 55:33Speaker 1: This is according to US Weekly. Uh so he's the
- 55:36Speaker 1: next Bachelor. He's on Michelle's season, Ashley, what made him
- 55:41Speaker 1: stand out? Like? It feels like a very quick choice,
- 55:44Speaker 1: And obviously I'm looking at a picture of him with
- 55:45Speaker 1: his shirt off right now. I think something stand out
- 55:49Speaker 1: um from that picture in his muscles. His muscles are massive,
- 55:53Speaker 1: but like everybody in the show's muscles are massive. So
- 55:56Speaker 1: what do they say stood out? Okay, so he's twenty eight,
- 55:59Speaker 1: he's from his lurry. Producers say that he was the
- 56:02Speaker 1: best fit for the role. They wanted to switch things
- 56:06Speaker 1: up and go with someone new and someone who hasn't
- 56:08Speaker 1: been in the spotlight yet. Okay, that's kind of interesting.
- 56:11Speaker 1: But we still don't really have a lot of information
- 56:14Speaker 1: as to why him. Why not somebody else from that season?
- 56:20Speaker 1: Why not from so we'll see. We I wish I
- 56:25Speaker 1: could tell you more, I really do. Um. We know
- 56:28Speaker 1: that he played Division one football and then he played
- 56:31Speaker 1: tight end. Uh. He attended MISSOO and oh he was
- 56:37Speaker 1: signed to the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent for
- 56:39Speaker 1: a little while. He's a big family guy. He's a
- 56:42Speaker 1: big fan of the outdoors and obviously exercising, obviously exercising. Well.
- 56:49Speaker 1: He is the next Bachelor, is to you know, as
- 56:51Speaker 1: far as we know, there hasn't been officially announced. Uh uh,
- 56:55Speaker 1: but you know it's pretty highly like speculated, considering he's
- 57:00Speaker 1: been seen filming. The show themselves haven't came out and
- 57:03Speaker 1: said anything against it. But here's an interesting headline. I've
- 57:08Speaker 1: been able to build a friendship with Michael, a great
- 57:11Speaker 1: guy since his time on the show. He's been great
- 57:14Speaker 1: to me. Um, just gotten to talk a lot about
- 57:16Speaker 1: his life and not a lot about the show. Um,
- 57:20Speaker 1: but this headline reads this and and I kind of
- 57:22Speaker 1: knew this about it. Bachelor lum Michael A says he
- 57:26Speaker 1: doesn't know why he wasn't picked to be the twenty
- 57:28Speaker 1: six Bachelor Succording to US Weekly, this is a shocking
- 57:31Speaker 1: headline to me, Ashley, because I felt like he was
- 57:33Speaker 1: a very clear, clear choice. Wait, I'm very much confused now.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Maybe I haven't read or listened to enough of his
- 57:41Speaker 1: interviews to fully comprehend. However, I thought that it was
- 57:46Speaker 1: offered to him and that he declined. Am I completely wrong?
- 57:49Speaker 1: As far as I understand, That's not the full way
- 57:53Speaker 1: it went. It was offered, it was talked about. Um,
- 57:56Speaker 1: he had a lot of things with his son that
- 57:58Speaker 1: he wanted to work through and then uh then he
- 58:01Speaker 1: kind of I think, was like, hey, uh let's talk
- 58:04Speaker 1: through this, and then it was too late. Like that's
- 58:06Speaker 1: how I understood him hanging. Well, now, I don't know
- 58:10Speaker 1: that to be like, I'm not quoting him. This isn't
- 58:12Speaker 1: coming from Michael. I don't know the story now, but
- 58:15Speaker 1: I mean, if he's saying publicly that he's surprised, I
- 58:19Speaker 1: know enough about this. Um, the whole thing behind the
- 58:24Speaker 1: scenes says go, yeah, something happened, where like he shocked
- 58:27Speaker 1: because it was never like it never felt like it
- 58:32Speaker 1: was gonna work out or something. I don't know, it's
- 58:33Speaker 1: weird though, that they wouldn't go a head like been
- 58:36Speaker 1: over backwards to make him the bachelor if he's wanting it,
- 58:40Speaker 1: I know. These are the quotes we have from him.
- 58:44Speaker 1: He was asked this week, Uh, why he isn't the Bachelor,
- 58:50Speaker 1: and he just said, I don't know. He said, I'm
- 58:53Speaker 1: sure the next one is going to be a really
- 58:55Speaker 1: good one. And then he's also said there have been
- 59:00Speaker 1: This is a couple of weeks ago. He said, there
- 59:01Speaker 1: have been discussions, no decision has been made. Apparently now
- 59:05Speaker 1: the decision has been made. He says he had reservations
- 59:09Speaker 1: being a contestant. Those reservations are heightened even more when
- 59:13Speaker 1: you're the lead. Obviously there's like a lot of shiny
- 59:17Speaker 1: things that come to come with being the lead, but
- 59:21Speaker 1: sometimes not everything that shimmers is gold. My son, my lifestyle,
- 59:25Speaker 1: What do I what do I want after this? Uh?
- 59:28Speaker 1: Maybe am I ready to introduce my son to random
- 59:32Speaker 1: people that he doesn't know? Maybe I don't know. Uh.
- 59:36Speaker 1: He did say that if he was a bachelor on
- 59:39Speaker 1: his son, James would be there. They've made accommodations for
- 59:43Speaker 1: people in the past. Um, he's referring to Jason Mesnick
- 59:47Speaker 1: and Emily Maynard. He said, I'm thirty seven. I'm not
- 59:50Speaker 1: looking to date around and do all that. Casting is
- 59:52Speaker 1: totally different, location is different. Um, that is when they
- 59:56Speaker 1: accommodate the child usually, so I mean, that's in my
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: personal opinion, it sucks. I wanted to see Michael Ay
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: as the bachelor. I wanted to see them accommodate the
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: sun and have a single dad. Uh there's never been
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: a widow before. Uh, a widower before. And uh, I
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: just I thought that he kind of had all the
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: makings of a good bachelor and uh, whenever, maybe we
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: will all fall in love with this guy, Clayton. I'm
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: sure we will. He has big shoes to Phil if
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: you're replaced in Michael Ay. I was a big mic
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: clay fan. Well, hey, former bachelor. Wam Pablo reunites with
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: x Nicki Farrell after seven years wild wild Wild Ashley.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Why they reunite? What's going on? We don't really know
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: why they reunited, but they reunited at the plaza in
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Kansas City where Nikki is a pediatric nurse, and they
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: were all smiley, uh and and um. Wam Pablo captured
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: the picture. Great seven years of catching up with Nicki Farrell.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: So they they got ice cream and they just seemed
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: like very I mean, how bizarre, how bizarre. But I
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: guess maybe they never left off on as bad of
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: terms as we would have thought. We never really did
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: see like how their relationship ended. We just saw how
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: he was on the Bachelor, and I guess we would
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: have assumed that he broke up with their they broke
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: up and it was dirty, because like all his breakups
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: on the show, seems kind of dirty. Well, next headline, Bachelor,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: it's been at Jordan. We're gonna answers to why he
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: wasn't in Paradise because he introduced his girlfriend Emily Chen
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: after skipping Bachelor in Paradise is. According to US Weekly, Yeah,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: he posted on Instagram he said, meet Emily. I'm pretty
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: sure she's a real life angel. He said, Aside from
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: being the most graceful Yogi I've ever seen in my
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: fifteen years of practice, she has the best heart and
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: spirit of anyone I've met. You're going to see a
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: lot more of us. But if you want to feel
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: more inspired, more enlightened, grow stronger, live a little lighter,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: and feel more connected and graded in your life, I
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: encourage you to follow her. I'm pretty much the luckiest girl.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I'm pretty much the luckiest guy in the world. Uh.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I don't know if they were together while Paradise was filming.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: I guess like part of you kind of like assumes
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: that they would be because he wasn't part of the
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Paradise cast, and I would have assumed that he was
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: a shoeing for it. Um So I'm gonna go ahead
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: and assume there was some sort of talking to for
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: a while, but I wouldn't be shocked. And good for him, right,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I mean good for him that he found somebody that said, Hey,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: I'm not gonna want a show. I don't need followers,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I need a girlfriend, I need a partner. I'm happy
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: for him. Well, um so we're celebrating that. And final
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: headline comes from somebody we just had on the podcast today.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: The headline reads this, Tashia Adams. Adams admits to tough
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: times with fiance Zach Clark. We want to make it work,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: So basically, she says, whenever we're asked about the wedding,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: we are no closer to getting a wedding plan than
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: we were a year ago. We just can't wait to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: actually just be together and continue to grow our relationship.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Wedding plans someday on the horizon, but right now, we're
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: enjoying New York and we have a marathon to look
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: forward to. We have a lot on our plate right now.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: She said that there's a true special connection there that
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: they knew that they had instantly, and she says that's
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: what's really helped them carry the relationship through tough circumstances
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: like her being gone for months at a time to
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: film and them living on different coasts at certain times.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: She said, truthfully, if we didn't have that, I don't
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: know that we would have been able to last. But
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: she also says it's been pretty tough the distance, but
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: also at the same time, they love each other so
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: much and they want to make it work, and that's
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: really all you need at the end of the day,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: we hope to make it work. Cheering for those two. Well, Hey,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: that's uh what we got for the Almost Face podcast today.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Great episode. Uh, we had Tacia Adams on. We broke
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: down this week's episode of Bachelor Paradise broke down some headlines.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: It's been awesome, it's been great spending time with you. Ashley,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: but hey, I've been been, and I've been Ashley. Follow
