  [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, after keeps saying it, Jaguar season, 20 25 season, it's officially over, fell to the bills yesterday, very disappointing end to the season for a lot of reasons.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There was uncharacteristic mistakes from a lot of players in a lot of situations yesterday that led to some big place for the bills.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Allen was tough as all good out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But some uncharacteristic mistakes and ultimately do think Liam Cohen was not sticking with the run consistently enough when the running game was where the jackwares had a true advantage yesterday consistently.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar is they have four picks right now in the first three rounds on the PFF mock draft simulator.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They do not have a first round pick traded the 2026 first round pick in the Travis Hunter deal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I know there's some ridiculous national narratives and people out there talking about how that was a wasted pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm really, really excited that you get to kind of put Travis Hunter now back into the picture after you lost him for the second half of the season, you get him back now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And one of the biggest pivot points and questions that we don't really know the answer to is what exactly the Jaguars are going to do with Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you obviously talk about

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have to talk about free agency as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: What's going to happen there?

  [SPEAKER_00]: What are your team needs actually going to be once you get to the draft?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Because there's a lot of impending free agents on the Jaguar's roster.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Some of them will stick around, some of them won't.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And we don't know which ones will be there and which ones won't.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, those are pieces you have to factor in when you're doing a mock draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have to factor in need, you have to factor in talent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now that we kind of seemingly have a feel for what the type of people, this regime is going to be looking forward, which is like football, die hard.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like football is everything for them, type of guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Team first, type of guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can kind of start to understand what they're looking for

  [SPEAKER_00]: identify players that they would be fond of.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So the guys over at NFL draft stock exchange with the 59th pick, which is the first pick right now for the Jaguars, they went with Dominique Orange, the defensive tackle out of Iowa State.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a nose tackle type, he's 320 plus pounds, he's big, he's physical, strong hands, great run defender, can hold up against double teams, can really destroy one-on-one blocks in the run game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's gonna be like an impact past Russia at the next level, I think there will be flashes.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But,

  [SPEAKER_00]: The guy I'm describing sounds a lot like Devon Hamilton, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Devon Hamilton has come an often incredible year where he was the anchor, the nose of the best-run defense and football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And to me, there's no argument.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have the best-run defense in the NFL right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They do, or they did.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he was at the heart of that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Are you going to draft his replacement when he's still under contract?

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're not putting those guys on the field together.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Very often, if ever, because I mean, they're going to be trying to fulfill the same role for you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, you could be drafting him for the future.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like 2027, you bring him in, you get him ready to go in 2026, and he can be your

  [SPEAKER_00]: at 59, with your first pick, you're going to draft a developmental role player, and I don't mean developmental in terms of like his actual ability to get on the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he get on the field in his work a year and make an impact as a run defender, but you're not going to need that unless you cut the Vaughn Hamilton.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you cut him, pre-June 1, you're not getting anything.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you cut him post-June 1, I believe you can save a little bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you cut the Von Hamilton post June one, you could save eight million dollars against the cap in 2026, but that eight million doesn't come till after June 1st.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like you're getting it for that that free agent time period in March.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're getting it for.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you could get into a free agency more in the summer.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That money could help you, or that cap space could help you with signing your draft class, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I'll tell you what, I'm not cutting to Von Hamilton right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's in his prime.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I just, I don't really see a world where, because again, no stack will, it is a role playing position.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not like a full time you want them on the field all the time, type of position.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So drafting one of those guys that high anyways in the second round is a bit early and then drafting one when you don't

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he can fulfill the role that we're talking about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I do think he's a good athlete at his size.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like I think he has some foot quickness and just that explosiveness at his size that is impressive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But he's not getting to Von Hamilton off the field and he's not gonna be a primary pass rusher from the interior.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're just talking about a Devon Hamilton replacement for the future, and I don't really see the need for that that early.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And look, there's gonna be a lot of mock drafts out there this year where I don't agree with things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Who knows, maybe Dominique Orange is the player that the Jaguar's take with the 59th overall pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then the next one also doesn't make any sense to me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And now one thing I will say, you can't just look at team need and say, well, the jag wars are good at this position or they're they're fine at this position, so they can't upgrade it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're trying to find the best players that can make the most impact

  [SPEAKER_00]: But taking a safety, Emmanuel McNeil Warren out of Toledo, who is a fun player, big time producer, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Has ball skills, gives his hands on the football, makes a lot of plays, good run defender, explosive, I don't know how taking a safety at 81 makes sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So with your first two picks here, you're not taking players that can make an impact in my opinion, cause that safety, the Jaguar has have Antonio Johnson, who they want on the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have obviously Caleb Ransal coming back from injury who they drafted to B.A.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Starter for them in the third round last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: missed the season with the injury.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's nothing you can do about that, but there's no reason to believe that he's not gonna be able to come back and be an impact player, but then you also have Eric Murray, who's under contract for the next two years.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you also have, round lane.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm trying, I mean, I guess if you want to make the argument,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think you want Antonio Johnson as a starter next year for sure, for the next couple years, with his under contract.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was the highest rated safety and football this year by PFF.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you want Caleb Ransal on the field too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The one thing you could say about Caleb Ransal is he's dealt with injuries throughout his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So maybe you'd draft another safety because you love the player, A and B.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're worried about Ransal's injuries.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, it seems like a reach to me though, not from a talent standpoint there, but just like, how does that impact your team?

  [SPEAKER_00]: How does that get, how does that really make you better?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Because Antonio Johnson's on the field and Caleb Ransal when he's healthy, I think he's on the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking up Caleb Ransal's injury history.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So he missed this year with the knee.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I know he had some injuries earlier in his career in college as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: how a run defending defensive tackle and a safety is the best use of your resources here if you're the jack wars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They talked about his story, but got in trouble with the law, lost football, his had to work his way back up from like going to super small school, a little bit bigger and then got to Kentucky and he played his butt off this year, really cool to see his story and like he lost everything, had to go to jail, got charged with a felony.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they said larceny at Oklahoma, but he's grown so much, according to Trevor Sigma, he realized what he lost and where his life was having, he didn't think he was going to get football back and he's kind of been just this example of redemption being able to have that redemption story.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that that's the type of player person that the Jaguar's could possibly get on board with, which is an exciting part of it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Trevor mentioned this like he reminds him a little bit of Travis ET and size wise I think some of that's there and that's some of that explosiveness just that short area burst so difficult to get down on the ground he was very productive it can can tuck you this year a little bit older of her prospect but I don't think that really matters that running back especially not a ton of tread on the tires for him but he was a four-star recruit and you know

  [SPEAKER_00]: At Oklahoma, they got kicked out, jail, probation, and all that stuff, worked his way back and finished over at Kentucky in 2025, and good football player now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: His hands are entirely unreliable.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to try to keep Devon Lloyd and I think ETN will probably play somewhere else, but.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If James Ladsstone follows what the Rams have been doing, I mean, the Rams have not valued off while I'm back or at all, but they have shown that they'll sign a running back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it could be the exact opposite of what I'm thinking is going to happen, but I'm thinking Devin Lloyd is going to be in Jacksonville next year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And those are the two big money free agents that you're kind of thinking about a lot right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so you're looking at a running back on day two of the draft, because you want to supplement what you have with Basel Tutan and Lee Quit Allen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not even convinced that you need to get one on day two, honestly, because I really do have a ton of confidence in Basel Tutan and Lee Quit Allen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I would be not shocked if they feel the same way.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, they're not going to just make their decisions based off of need.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So if there's a running back that they just absolutely love on day two, I don't think that Tutan or Alan is going to stop them from making that pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So maybe they don't even draft one until day three with with ETN gone.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the story is really interesting.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The seemingly lack of ability to impact the game positively outside of just toting the rock could be a pretty big negative for them, for the Jack Wars in their evaluation of this player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He also doesn't, I'm not saying he can't have special teams value, but he hasn't in college

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, those are some dings for sure on the, on the scouting report that you got to kind of work work through.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that there might be backs that have a more complete skill set that they would like more, a more versatile skill set.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is a guy who just is not ready to play at the NFL level in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's had some decent games throughout his career and he was at Nevada and then transferred to Oregon this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But when he went up against big time competition this year, especially down the stretch, camera went out of focus again, what are you going to do?

  [SPEAKER_00]: cameras just not wanting to cooperate.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, as a world, he's big, he's six foot eight, three hundred almost 320 pounds, but he's just not a consistent player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Texas tack in Indiana to really good teams that they played the last two games.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And an offensive lineman for me, who has no baseline of fundamentals is really difficult to get excited about, even if they do have a lot of talent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So when I'm looking at this draft, again, a big question mark is like, his Travis Hunter and what they're going to be doing with him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: My gut is that Buster Brown will be back and that Greg Newsome won't be.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if you're focusing more on one side than the other, my guess would be it would be cornerback over wider silver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, love Jacobi, love Parker, Britain Strange is receiving tight end.
