- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Patrice, thank you so much for being here to do this live coaching session with us.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: I know that the questions that you had for me are going to help everybody so much.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Why don't you take a second to tell everybody who you are and who you serve and how you serve them?
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Tracy.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: So happy to be here.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: So I'm Patrice.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: I am a bookkeeper and a back office support specialist.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: So I service those service providers who are having the issue with the shoebox next to their monitor.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: And they need to get rid of that to get organized.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: That is the frustrating part that a lot of people don't realize.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: You need to be organized when it comes to your bookkeeping so you are ready for attack and audit time.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: So you don't have to postpone them any longer to the end of the year, and you can go ahead and pass them on before the deadline actually comes.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: That's where I come in and that's my job.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: I love the visual of the shoebox because I bet you a bunch of people that are either watching on YouTube or listening on the podcast are probably going, is she in my office right now?
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Does she and she see my shoebox?
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: Um, a lot of people leave live like that.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: That's how they live.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: For sure.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: So let's dive into this topic because I know it's on your mind, but it's also on the mind of everybody in my audience.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: So that's why I'm so glad we're doing this today.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Um, when I was preparing for our live coaching session, based on what you shared with me, I feel like this is where you are right now, but I really want you to tell me if I'm on the right track.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: So I'm kind of feeling like you're thinking I'm posting, I have my free lead magnets, but that's but nothing is bringing in the leads or the clients consistently.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Correct.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, perfect.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: So based on that, I just I just made some a few notes, um, some initial thoughts on how we might proceed and how we might work through that.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Um, it doesn't sound like to me that you have an effort problem or a motivation problem.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: It sounds like to me you're doing the work and you're creating the content.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Does that is that correct?
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Correct.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, perfect.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Um and also because you're doing the work and you're visible, um I feel it it feels like you might have uh actually you might have more of a visibility to conversation problem than the creating the content and putting it out on social media.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Does that sound accurate also?
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: That sounds accurate.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about what's what's currently happening in your business.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: I'd love for you to tell me a little bit about what you're currently doing for visibility each week.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Um outside of posting content and offering different freebie that I have and also my mailing list, I'm also offering, give me emailing list, I'm offering that as well.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: So they can jump in and they maybe they can grab a freebie or two here and there.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Um, I am having little conversations here and there with people because I know that just having certain conversations can drive people to turn into an actual client.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: And some of them have led to copy chat, and they're like, oh, okay, well, if I need someone like that or if my clients need someone like that, I will recommend you.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: That's the kind of conversation they're turning into.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: So that's where the stopping point becomes a stopping point.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: So tell me, um, you know that I teach that we don't have to be on all the platforms all the time to have success.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: What platforms feel the most natural to you right now?
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Where are you showing up?
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Instagram is the most um my main focus right now because I was trying to show up on Instagram, threads, and LinkedIn, and that's like that was too much.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: So I mainly focus on Instagram.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: That's where I can drive a lot more leads.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: And of course, it'll trickle over to Facebook from me posting on Instagram, but it'll drive people to my Instagram from my Facebook.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: And I tried to make sure my Facebook information is updated so it can trickle over to the other way.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: So and tell me, um, share with us what kind of content are you posting more most often?
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Is it more educational about bookkeeping or is it more relational about maybe what's going on in the mind of your ideal client?
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: It's a little of both.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: I try to um kind of target what's going on in the world today.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: So uh with the way gas prices are going right now, I know a lot of people are struggling with that type of aspect.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: So I'll just take a picture of maybe a gas pump or something like that to kind of make it more relatable.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: But it is kind of educational on that line, as well as I have posted a picture of maybe my son or something like that, so it can kind of lighten the load or give a positive quote to someone.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: I have done stuff like that.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: Um, but it's mainly mostly educational and pain points that some clients may be experiencing.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: And you are giving them clear calls to action to follow from your content, like joining your list or grabbing a freebie or booking a call, something like that.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: Yes, I'm always trying to make sure that I direct them to something to do.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Okay, perfect.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Tell me during the course of one week, how often are you promoting your top of funnel lead magnets?
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: It may be three times a week.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: Uh and I was doing Saturday and Sunday, but I was like, well, let me just take a break on the weekend and try to mainly focus on during the week.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: And after um you're doing the content and you've posted it and all that, are people DMing you?
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: Are they commenting?
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Or can you see if they're clicking on the lead magnet?
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: I can only see that they're basically viewing the content.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: So I do have a lot of views, but no kind of conversion of those views.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: So I have noticed that.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: So I have kind of um I pull my stats every week so I'll know how they go.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: Um, and I can know which way I need to lean or what I need to focus more on.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: Um, and they're viewing it, but they're not gaining tractions as far as converting getting the DMs or the lights or anything like that.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: So they're not really uh liking or harding, uh, they're not commenting and they're not DMing you.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: Are they are you growing followers?
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: I have over 600 followers in the um on Instagram.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: So it's like I they people will flop and follow me for a different thing, but they won't.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: And they may like and share some things, but it most of the things that I post is really low.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: Okay, got it.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, so the visibility is there, the content is there.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Um, but as you know, we need a pathway for people to actually make that connection and to know what to do next.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: So I want to dive into your freebies for a second.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: Um, could you give me an example of one of your free lead magnets, maybe the one that's become the most popular?
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: What kind of problem does it solve?
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: Um, it's a stop starting over freebie.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: So it basically gives them a touch of bookkeeping, a touch of organizing for their follow-up, making track all of those in that particular um template that they're getting from there.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: And do you feel like um that did you well let me let me phrase it this way.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: When you created this free lead magnet, was it based on an urgent problem that your clients are absolutely without question experiencing?
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: I have noticed that um people have said that they're having issues with following up as an issue.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: Um, and of course, with the bookkeeping thing, they're just not tracking their expenses or knowing how to house correctly.
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: So that's the remain two reasons why I focused on those two items.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Okay, got it.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: And are those two items you said those are in the same template?
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: They're in the same lead magnet?
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: Yes, they are.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: So, because one of the things is gonna help me be more organized with my bookkeeping.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: The other part of it, if I'm understanding, is gonna help me be more organized in my follow-ups with my prospective clients.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Is that right?
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: Correct.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: And I think um without looking at the social media copy that you're using for this, my guess is it's confusing your audience as to what your specialty actually is, because those two things, while you understand that they go together under the organization umbrella, and I understand it because I know what you do, but somebody that's brand new to you might look at that and go, well, is she a bookkeeper or is she a sales coach?
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: So just you know, so there may be some blending there of the messaging that's confusing to the audience where they can't see themselves in exactly what you're offering.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Um, when you created a lead magnet, is it based on your paid offer?
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Does it lead right to your paid offer?
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: It will lead to a paid offer, but I don't want to um automatically say, hey, this is what you should do after you done grabbed it and you should go ahead and book a call.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: It's more of a um, here you go, here's a touch of what you can get as far as help person purposes, excuse me, and let's talk about it if you need to move on to something else.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: And I most likely will pass out some other kind of freebies or something like that.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Okay, so when they when I opt in for this free lead magnet, what is the next step that I can see very clearly that I can take with you?
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: Um the email subscription is the next step that I have set up right now at this moment.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: But I don't immediately know that how how I could hire you from that lead magnet.
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: No.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking about it correctly now.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: Um do you feel like your audience wakes up thinking I need bookkeeping bookkeeping help?
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Or do you feel like they wake up thinking and feeling overwhelmed, disorganized, stressed out about their money, wanting to put their head in the sand about their their numbers, scared at tax time.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: Which one of those things do you feel like I think it might be more of waking up trying to figure out where they want to start or how they want to tackle their day-to-day items.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: I think that's the biggest thing for them.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Um, because it is causing them to have the overwhelm and stress and all that, right?
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Because I'm wondering if repositioning your content around those outcomes might be the key to gaining more actual conversations.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Because the reason why I was asking you about um the if if people are liking, hearting, or commenting, DMing, or following, that's what we want them to do.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: But then after they've done that, we it's up to us to reach out and go first to have the DM conversation, if there are on our email list, to have the inbox conversation, creating fun ways to get them to reply back so we can actually have a conversation with them so that we can lead them to booking that info call.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Um, so in talking with you, it sounds like your audience really wants that peace of mind.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: They want more time.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: They don't want to have to worry about their books and their numbers, and they're wanting to feel more put together and just have more business stability.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: Do you think that's accurate?
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that sounds about right.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: What they need.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: Um, because what I'm trying to get to is in in repositioning the your content around those outcomes, we're we'll we'll be moving from here's a bookkeeping tip to something more like here's why you're back in chaos is costing you time, creating stress, it's costing you money, and things like that.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: And that's that, that's that bringing in the emotion side of it.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: Do you feel like in your content, um, because I haven't looked at your content, do you feel like your content represents that emotional relevance and recognizing truly what they're feeling and going through?
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: Sometimes it does.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: It has um gear towards the emotional aspect of it to kind of bringing in people to look at.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Um, when it comes to your content each week, do you have one anchor topic per week?
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: Or are you trying to create like go ahead.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: Mo most of the time it is um anchored towards a certain topic, not necessarily just me all over the place.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: So if I'm going um bookkeeper tips or anything like that, then that's what I focus on for that week.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: And then the next week I might work on organizational tips or something like that.
- 16:03SPEAKER_01: But I don't try to give too many tips or tricks in the same week because I know that can be kind of messy if um that makes sense.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: It does make sense.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Do you have a regular piece of weekly content?
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: And what I mean by that is um a podcast, or are you going live on Instagram or are you writing a blog?
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: What's your what's your regular piece of weekly content?
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: Um, outside of posting, I don't have anything else that I'm working on right now, this present moment.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: I think that would really help you um reach more people.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: You know, there's nothing more powerful with regard to the algorithm than going live.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Um, the the second best thing is doing a reel.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: The problem I have with reels, me personally, they take a long time for me to do just because tech's not my love language.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: And also, people have to consume hours of our content before they're going to start to pay attention and really understand what we're all about and know whether or not they want to hire us.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: And so consuming hours of reels is going to take a lot longer than consuming maybe um a few hours of a live of you going live on Instagram.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: So have you ever considered doing that and presenting some of your tips and your um, you know, discussing the the stress they feel at tax time and the great ways that they can minimize that?
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: The um if they're the CEO and they feel like they're stuck doing the admin work, the ideas you have around overcoming that, um, you know, how they can take that shoebox and really organize themselves.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: So have you thought about having one?
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: I call it an anchor piece.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: I have thought about doing um different reels or quick stories here and there since um I know Instagram has changed their requirements for going live.
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: Um, so to get around that, I've been doing quick stories here and there, or just maybe some quick reels that'll pop up with some wording.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: So then that way they can make sure they're understanding what I'm posting clearly or trying to say clearly.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: Um, but I have been on um TikTok live here and there since I have over a thousand followers on there and talked about different things to them so they are well aware of different tips and tricks that might come about.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: Now, I may not have people come and watch the live at the time, but I just still be talking regardless because at the end of the day, I could uh gain a lot of traction just from talking or having a conversation.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: Do you feel like Instagram is the right platform for you to be on for your audience?
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: Yes, because uh and the only reason why I say that is because I know a lot of service providers are on Instagram.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: So they use that more so than maybe Facebook or something like that, especially the younger generation or younger crowd uses Instagram.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: If I want to target more of the older crowd, I know I need to get on Facebook and get and start talking to them.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Okay, gotcha.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Um, so when you are um when you're using your content uh on your Instagram profile, are you using it intentionally and giving something that grows your list?
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: One call to action that grows your list?
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, perfect.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: And do you have you been tracking the conversions on your lead magnets?
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Do you know what your conversion percentage is?
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: I haven't looked this week, um, but um I have gotten kits set up so I can be able to track my um lead magnets and things like that, but I haven't been out there to look recently.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Do you know what the last time you looked, do you know what your conversion rates were on your lead magnets?
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: It might have been really low, maybe one or two or something like that.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: But it wasn't really high.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: Gotcha.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: And how big is your email list?
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: Um, I don't think it's that big, to be honest.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: When I looked last time, it was mostly friends and family that was out there because that's where I've mainly have promoted a lot of things just to start up the email list and to test it out for different things since I've started using Kit.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, gotcha.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think we all do that.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: We all have some friends and family that we want to be on the list just so that we can make sure things are working correctly.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: So I get you there.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: Um, so are you doing things like, let's talk about your your organic lead growth for a second?
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Um, I know I know you're visible on Instagram.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: It sounds like you're creating the content.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: I do think that it would be valuable to have somebody look at your lead magnets because there's something missing there.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: It's either either that there's either it's not what your audience wants, or it's the messaging is confusing the audience where they can't see that they truly need the thing you're offering.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: Um, because we want to have that those conversions.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: And in the in the funnel, what we have to do is look at the lead magnet itself and make sure that it is something that is based on research that people want.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: And then we have to look at the social media content that we're writing to make sure that it's clear to that person what you're offering and why they need it, the what's in it for them, why do they need it?
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: And then when they get to the landing page of the lead magnet, we want that messaging to be cohesive as well.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: So that because we don't what we don't want to have happen is they see the social media post and they're like, oh my gosh, I need that.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: And then they go to the landing page and there's some messaging there that causes them to not opt in.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: And so we want to make sure that all of that is flowing and cohesive.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: Um, but let's talk about more conversations for a second here, because it does sound like you're creating the content and you have people that are following.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Um we want to work with your copy to get people to comment and and like, but then are you are you actively starting conversations with people in the DMs, asking them for I will start a conversation, especially if they follow me.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: Like I try to give them a hey, thanks for the follow.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: Are you finding better?
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: having any issues or or I'll ask if they have any issues with their back end or their bookkeeping, something like that.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: Or I may ask them, um, check out my freebie that I have.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: The link is in my bio.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: Grab that for free.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: Subscribe to my email list and just go from there.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: Um and we might spark up a general conversation about different things.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: But that's how I've been mostly doing it.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: So the first DM you're sending them is more of a, hey, you can grab my freebie or are you actually taking the time to open up a conversation to get them to share who they are and who they serve and you're sharing who you are and who you serve.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: What what are you leading with in that DM conversation?
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: It just I guess it depends on where I've met them at and how I was able to get them to come to my page.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: If I've met them at maybe a networking event or something like that and me and them may have not have had a conversation, I will lead with hey, I do X, Y, and B and tell and tell them who I service and ask them how their day is going and how they are if they are needing some kind of help or what kind of business they have.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: So I will ask those probing questions to be able to understand more about them as people, not just start with the selling punt.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: Okay, good.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: And are you finding that those conversations are leading to coffee chats and leading to converted clients?
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: They will lead to coffee chats I can say that.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: And they may not lead necessarily to a client that they might need but they are saying okay well I can recommend you to maybe one of my clients or something like that.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: So it's like they will hold the information it has it onto maybe their clientele that they have.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: And then what is your follow-up strategy after you have visited with somebody or you've networked with somebody and they've said that they would refer you to their clients I most of the time I don't really know what to say to them per se.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Outside of thank you for meeting with me.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: It was a pleasure speaking with you.
- 24:55SPEAKER_01: Here's a copy of maybe my website or my portfolio you can always check that out something like that is what I would follow up with.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: So then that way they'll know it was a pleasure and I was grateful to speak with them and them to take the time to talk to me.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: And then after that though are you following back up with them 30 days later 60 days later I may not even follow up again but I do keep their information so I can follow up and and to be quite honest I need to start doing that because I think that's where the things are dropping off is I will meet with them, have a coffee chat, they'll say, oh refer you and that I believe that's where my problem is coming in at is I will stop literally right there at the end of the thank you email and then won't follow up anymore.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: So I believe that's my biggest problem.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: It could be one of the problems.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: The other one I'm getting at is you know because we have to keep our name out there and if you've taken the time to connect with somebody and have the coffee chat and explain your expertise then it's really great for you to stay in front of them and stay top of mind.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: If they have not joined your email list, then that becomes um a matter of DMing them again and just to check in and say, you know, hope you know the last time we talked you said you were in launch.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: I hope that was going well.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: How did everything go?
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: And just opening up a conversation again, but having your name there and as a reminder of who you are.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: The other thing that I am curious about is are you keeping a list of people that you're visiting with so that you can send them referrals and make connections for them also?
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: Yes, I do.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: I try to make it a point to um give them kind of a make name or something that I can remember them by when I have a conversation with them.
- 26:52SPEAKER_01: Like I met with a coach and she helps you sort out people that are supposed to be meant for your life.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: So I call her a branch or excuse me a tree.
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: That's the best way of describing her.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: She gets you with the permanent people like the root she gets you with the limbs that are the iffy people and then the leaves that are like blowing with the wind.
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: She gets you out of those kind of ruts and helps you be able to get more roots in your life.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: That's how I kind of describe her.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: And that's the best way that I know so I make a note of that when I am taking down those coffee chats and things like that.
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: So I can refer those people to other folks.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: Perfect because one of the fastest ways to bring in more referrals for us is to be a referrer for other people.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: So I'm glad to hear that you are doing that.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: Patrice I know I've gone through a whole you know load of questions so that we can kind of uncover where some of your gaps might be and your leaks that are in your visibility and your content.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: What questions do you have for me today based on what we've talked about?
- 28:01SPEAKER_01: I I really know where to start.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: I don't have any kind of questions but I do have a clear a better understanding of where I need to go and what's causing my holdup and my standstill.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: So I am going to be able to progress further from having a conversation with you.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: So what is what what are you planning to do?
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: My main thing is to make sure that I actually follow up but what I first need to start with doing is not only just giving them an option to subscribe but also give them an actual landing page that actually converts to something so that gives them an endpoint of okay this is how you get a contact with her outside of sending an email every now and then they can get in contact with me by these channels and having them be able to click on what they need to click on to be able to talk to me.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: So when do you have a regular are you emailing your list regularly like once a week twice a month something like that if I haven't set a schedule just yet.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: It's more of a I just started and I really need to compile everything together and get things out there.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: But it will be maybe a weekly or a monthly type thing that I will be sending out those emails once I get right into it.
- 29:27unknown: Okay.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: Gotcha.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: I do I would encourage you to start emailing your list sooner rather than later.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Even if you feel like it's just friends and family it gets that it gets you in the habit of it.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: The the creation of the email becomes easier the more you do it.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: And it's just that muscle memory of you know the habit and just getting yourself into the into the um the system of doing it is really going to be helpful because once you do start having some conversions we want I want you to start having more conversations in the DMs that where you are inviting people to hop on a curiosity call.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: A coffee chat is great um if on the coffee chat you uncover that they have a need, that would be a great opportunity to then say Tracy you've just indicated you know that you have a shoebox of receipts um would you is it okay if if I share with you how I work with people to um to solve the shoebox issue.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: So when you're on a coffee chat if you see an opening are you taking it I will take it if I see the opening because I try to make sure that I'm actually listening and very much focused on what someone is saying to me so I can actually offer where it needs to be offered or give suggestions where I might be able to get suggestions.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: And also are you using a note taker like otter or fathom or something to record the curiosity calls that you're doing the coffee chats that you're doing I am using um I'm not sure what the Google Meet program is called off the top of my head, but I am using that um it does pop up for me to actually subscribe uh to transcribe my things and it will send the um audio information to me in an email.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: So I do have that to be able to fall back on.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: And then are you taking that transcript and putting it into even in the free version of ChatGPT to help you uncover some of the things that they said in the coffee chat or the curiosity call that you might have missed because it's not possible for us to catch everything, you know, because we're listening to the other person.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: We're also thinking about how we want to respond.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: And for me I know I've been able to really have some deeper conversations and deeper follow-ups by doing that research I have not tried to do that with ChatGBT.
- 31:57SPEAKER_01: Um that's something that I don't I use chat GBT but I don't use it as much as I could use it.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: Because I I've heard a lot of times that ChatGBT is a big help especially when it comes to suggestions and things like that.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: But I have not dived into in that aspect yet got it okay um because also when you're having these conversations with people I well here's one one idea I had for you not that I I don't want you to throw out all your lead magnets that's not where I'm going with this but we need some lead magnets we either need to get the ones you've got um perfected in the messaging so that they start to convert or you might need to create one or two new ones but I want them to be based on market research.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: So when you are crafting your offer and crafting the lead magnets did you have market research calls with online entrepreneurs to ask them what's hard about bookkeeping?
- 32:55SPEAKER_00: What do you what part are you okay with?
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: What part are you not okay with?
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: What part do you find that you're avoiding what would be great to help you stop avoiding that and and start organizing the shoebox and were you were you able to do some market research to know that what you're offering is exactly what they're saying and needing my market research was more of um looking to see what people are saying online like on Reddit or just in LinkedIn back on the under some couple of hashtags or things like that that they're currently experiencing or seeing um I didn't actually reach out to any entrepreneurs outside of the few that I might know um and when I ask them they're like oh no I don't have any or anything like that.
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: So that's what made me go to Reddit and LinkedIn to try to find some kind of market researching to kind of give me a pain point to start with.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: Got it.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Well um I think that's a great place to start going to Quora, going to Reddit and having AI help you do that research um because it as much as possible we want our lead magnets to be what our people are wanting and needing.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: And just based on this conversation like we talked about, I don't know that you need more content.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: It sounds like to me maybe you need a content somebody to review your content to make sure that the messaging is very clear, not clever, that it is um on, you know, that there's no confusion there about the message that you're delivering, that there is a clear call to action and again that those lead magnets are something that people really want.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: And then we want to put the strategic pathways underneath them so that when people are liking or harding commenting or following we're doing a DM conversation in an effective way where you're able to uncover what's really on their mind and then take that and then have them take that next step, whether that be offering them another free resource sometimes that's a good place to start or just saying hey I have curiosity calls open this week would you like to chat for 15 minutes about what's going on and see, you know, and hear more about how I might be able to help you.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: So I think that's the good news tell me how you're feeling and um it sounds like you're gonna you're gonna establish a really good follow-up strategy.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: I am I'm I'm feeling very very great about the information that I'm getting because it's like I've been doing a lot of things and I do have a um market expert um that I can always ask questions to so I think I need to go back and have a conversation with him about different things that maybe we can reposition and give him my stats so we can figure out how we can work together and what I need to do from there and give him the suggestions that you provided to me to also help as well.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:57SPEAKER_01: Wonderful is that someone that is um an online business coach as well they are actually um I wouldn't really call him an online business coach.
- 36:07SPEAKER_01: It's more of someone that he's a a really close friend with my husband and he's helped me before with some of my marketing thing he's a marketing expert.
- 36:20SPEAKER_01: That's what he's gone to school for and that's what he does in his own business that he personally has.
- 36:26SPEAKER_01: So I would like I might as well go and ask him for more help if I need some because he's giving me some good advice some good pointers when I first started out so now it's like I've gotten a little further in the game so I need to revisit him again.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: Got it okay um Patrice thank you so much for being here and being willing to go through the live coaching session.
