- 1:01Speaker 3: On the last time he said it. Yeah, last time.
- 1:03Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure you agreed.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Because I think I was just in the zone of
- 1:07Speaker 1: saying mummy and daddy, But you said, Robin to my batman,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I don't know, man. I'll cop mummy because I can
- 1:13Speaker 1: talk about my feelings. But Robin to my batman, you agreed.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Last on What's don't go back on your words, what's
- 1:19Speaker 1: the better duo that's equal? We're all about a quality here,
- 1:21Speaker 1: made about a duo that's equal? A not Batman and
- 1:24Speaker 1: Robin sound like a bitch. Robin's a vital part of
- 1:28Speaker 1: the team. Okay, I don't want to be Robin, right,
- 1:31Speaker 1: you're you? What about the Jarvis to my Tony Stark
- 1:36Speaker 1: SpongeBob and Patrick SpongeBob. You know you're more Patrick, but
- 1:41Speaker 1: I'm SpongeBob. Why just because thays you are annoying intellectual intellectual?
- 1:46Speaker 1: SpongeBob intellectual compared to Patrick. He lives under a rock mate.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Compared to Patrick.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Anyway, guys, now that we've established it, I'm SpongeBob. I
- 1:58Speaker 1: want to I wanted to start off, but I g
- 2:02Speaker 1: question of the week. What did you try and change
- 2:04Speaker 1: about a man?
- 2:04Speaker 3: We're back. We're doing it again.
- 2:06Speaker 1: We did this a couple of weeks ago, and it
- 2:07Speaker 1: was so good that we had to do it twice.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I had to, all right, want me to kick it off? Yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 1: what did you try and change about a man? His
- 2:15Speaker 1: skinny jean error?
- 2:17Speaker 2: Please tell me it worked?
- 2:19Speaker 3: Please tell me it worked? As a male? We all
- 2:22Speaker 3: went through this era.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Did you God?
- 2:24Speaker 3: If you're a bit of a pioneer of the old
- 2:27Speaker 3: wide pants.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I definitely have worn skinny jeans before, but I will
- 2:32Speaker 2: proudly say I went to the baggy dogs very early
- 2:37Speaker 2: in the friendship group.
- 2:38Speaker 3: You did you did? I will proudly say that I
- 2:40Speaker 3: think I was. I was a bit of an earlier one.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I wouldn't say you were late, like I wouldn't say
- 2:45Speaker 2: you were wearing skinny jeans like late.
- 2:46Speaker 3: But they're still ask some friends in our friendship group.
- 2:50Speaker 1: YEA, the ripped jeans that are quite tired on the
- 2:53Speaker 1: old quadriceps.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Not good.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I saw a video and it was a girl saying
- 3:00Speaker 2: dates really mad at me because I told him to
- 3:01Speaker 2: drop me home because he was wearing these jeans and
- 3:03Speaker 2: it was those jeans with like a rip skinny and
- 3:06Speaker 2: then they also had like that that pattern of like
- 3:08Speaker 2: the crunchiness or whatever. And I was like, good on
- 3:10Speaker 2: you back in the day. Oh really, I reckon, there's
- 3:14Speaker 2: I think my mum bought them for me.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I'm trying to think if I had a pair of them,
- 3:17Speaker 2: or if I just had like the classic skinny with holes.
- 3:19Speaker 2: There's got to be a photos I had both what
- 3:22Speaker 2: did you try and change about him his victim mentality? Oh?
- 3:26Speaker 3: Meaning like, oh what does it poor me? The world
- 3:30Speaker 3: out to get me?
- 3:32Speaker 2: Shut up, my god, get over it?
- 3:35Speaker 3: Yeah, wells houn to get everyone fair. Yeah, it's not
- 3:38Speaker 3: just you, it's howd to get everyone?
- 3:40Speaker 1: What did you try and change about him to be
- 3:42Speaker 1: a better text that's also?
- 3:45Speaker 3: I hope it worked. How are you good at texting
- 3:47Speaker 3: now you have a girl? Am I good at texting?
- 3:49Speaker 2: Now?
- 3:49Speaker 3: That have a girlfriend? I text her back because you
- 3:51Speaker 3: used to say like, oh no, no, no, no, no no.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I was never a bad texter. I just hate texting
- 3:57Speaker 2: and I would prefer a voice message.
- 3:58Speaker 1: True, true, true, but I I do recall in my mind. Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 1: you wouldn't reply very quickly.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Yeah. No, true. But you're good now?
- 4:06Speaker 2: No, I'm good now, I'm good now, I'm good now.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I'm good with I'm good with my girlfriend.
- 4:08Speaker 3: I'm just not good with everyone else. She changed.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I'm good with her because I actually want
- 4:12Speaker 2: to talk to her, but I'm not good with everyone else.
- 4:14Speaker 2: You can wait, you're fuck What did you try and
- 4:18Speaker 2: change about him him not brushing his teeth?
- 4:22Speaker 3: Hopefully that changed?
- 4:23Speaker 2: Hopefully Why did you even try and change it. Girl,
- 4:26Speaker 2: that should have been a red flag from the start,
- 4:28Speaker 2: and I should have left.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Your kiss in that mouth. You brea the breath.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Imagine the breath, and imagine like the build up of
- 4:34Speaker 2: the white placky shit.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Yeah, it looks sometimes it's with people.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It looks like you can get a chisel and knock
- 4:39Speaker 2: it off, and it's the grossest thing in the world.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Oh yeah, there was a girl that used to work
- 4:45Speaker 2: and my girlfriend's work, right, she quit, but she works
- 4:50Speaker 2: there long enough for me to meet her. Yeah, okay,
- 4:53Speaker 2: And because I was slightly taller than her, she could see.
- 4:59Speaker 3: I could see damn while she was talking.
- 5:02Speaker 2: And let me tell you, it looked like I could
- 5:05Speaker 2: put my hand in there and just pick it up.
- 5:07Speaker 2: It looked like it was a mouthpiece. It looked like
- 5:09Speaker 2: it was fake teeth. But they made him look ugly
- 5:11Speaker 2: on purpose.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I feel bad. Sometimes it's probably down to like her
- 5:14Speaker 1: parents not teaching how to brush your teeth properly.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I don't know, though, you get told all the time,
- 5:20Speaker 2: even on the ads on TV.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Nine out of ten dentists say you should brush your
- 5:25Speaker 3: teeth twice a day.
- 5:26Speaker 2: You know that tenth one shouldn't be a dentist, but
- 5:29Speaker 2: nine out.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Of ten, I don't know. It's fucking ridiculous. I don't
- 5:33Speaker 3: know why she tried to change that either. No, yeah,
- 5:35Speaker 3: I think you should have left.
- 5:37Speaker 1: What did you try and change in a man that
- 5:39Speaker 1: the de Lulu could be the tru Lulu?
- 5:47Speaker 3: He's been all real, like, come on, let's get serious that.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I don't think. That's not how things work. And you're like,
- 5:54Speaker 3: let me live, Oh Lulu.
- 6:00Speaker 2: What did you try and change about him? His skid marks?
- 6:04Speaker 3: Please hope you did. That's the first thing I check.
- 6:07Speaker 1: If I had to take a shit in my girlfriend's place, like,
- 6:09Speaker 1: turn like a flush, turn around like and then use
- 6:12Speaker 1: that little brushing next to it.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I have a confession. I don't know if I've confessed
- 6:15Speaker 3: to this.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Stop me if I have about fresh dating me? My
- 6:22Speaker 2: im fresh? All right, I would like to quickly add
- 6:25Speaker 2: into the start of the story. She will clean her
- 6:27Speaker 2: ears with the cutibs, or she'll use.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Her cutips to wipe off some makeup or whatever. Hey
- 6:30Speaker 3: whatever you.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Yeah, she doesn't throw them in the bin.
- 6:33Speaker 3: She's like, oh, she throws them in the toilet.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, they float? I know they float. And also,
- 6:38Speaker 2: you're not supposed to flush them in the toilet so
- 6:40Speaker 2: they can get stuck in the pipes. That's what I'm
- 6:42Speaker 2: starting the story with. Okay, yeah, okay, fresh dating. I'm
- 6:48Speaker 2: at her place. Her bathroom's downstairs. Up says I'm going.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm going downstairs.
- 6:51Speaker 3: You got a toilet.
- 6:52Speaker 2: I'm not afraid early on to be like, I got
- 6:54Speaker 2: a shit.
- 6:55Speaker 3: You know, just people do it. Everyone does.
- 6:57Speaker 2: And so I go down and take a ship flush
- 6:59Speaker 2: and you know me, I preach, close it, then flush
- 7:02Speaker 2: because of the germs.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Yeah, flush, think nothing of it. Wash my hands. Go
- 7:07Speaker 3: back upstairs. We're doing with fucking man. We go do something.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Come back.
- 7:09Speaker 2: A couple of hours later, we're down in there. She
- 7:11Speaker 2: goes to take a pee while we're in her room.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Like her room has the on sweet thing.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Yeah, and then she opens the toy.
- 7:18Speaker 2: She starts laughing, and she starts saying she's I don't
- 7:21Speaker 2: even remember what she said, but she starts laughing, and
- 7:25Speaker 2: I'm like, what what what?
- 7:26Speaker 3: What?
- 7:27Speaker 2: She's like, did you flush earlier? And I was like,
- 7:29Speaker 2: don't tell me there's a nugget in there. Don't tell
- 7:31Speaker 2: me I left a nugget, because I always leave a nugget.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Something about me is I'm just a big fat shitter
- 7:38Speaker 2: and I left a nugget and I go and she goes, nah,
- 7:41Speaker 2: you did it, And I go in clogged it. I
- 7:44Speaker 2: was filled the brim and I was like no, I
- 7:48Speaker 2: was losing my ship.
- 7:49Speaker 3: I was like no, no, and she's laughing and she goes,
- 7:54Speaker 3: don't worry. This happens all the time. And I'm like,
- 7:56Speaker 3: it's because you put fucking Q tips in there.
- 7:58Speaker 2: This is your fault I had to do. She doesn't
- 8:01Speaker 2: have a plunger. Oh, she goes, don't worry, this has
- 8:04Speaker 2: happened before. You have to get a coat hanger, break
- 8:07Speaker 2: it and shove it in.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Oh what the hell?
- 8:11Speaker 2: So I had to get a wire coat hanger, bend
- 8:13Speaker 2: it to break it, fold it out, shove.
- 8:14Speaker 3: It in and it works. This is bonding on a
- 8:16Speaker 3: whole nother. But it was disgusting.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Tell you what I thought you were going to say
- 8:19Speaker 1: to start prefacing the que tips. Yeah, I thought you
- 8:22Speaker 1: were going to say, so he took a ship and
- 8:24Speaker 1: messed up. You left a massive skid mark. But she
- 8:27Speaker 1: didn't have a ah, a toilet brush. So before you
- 8:31Speaker 1: were going to say you got like one of the
- 8:33Speaker 1: queue tips and clean that toilet.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Imagine that I want to use toilet paper for a
- 8:37Speaker 3: cue tip. You idiot, You're weird.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Guy, Get into it because me. What did you try
- 8:45Speaker 1: and change about him? Paying with the door open?
- 8:48Speaker 3: I like doing that? Guilty. I am also guilty of
- 8:50Speaker 3: that all the time. It's also it's like, at least
- 8:52Speaker 3: you know I'm in there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, can open
- 8:55Speaker 3: the room like, well, sorry, I haven't angle my body
- 8:57Speaker 3: so you can't see me from the door.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, no reflections going to catch its. Not that
- 9:01Speaker 2: it's big enough anyway, but you do you see that
- 9:05Speaker 2: when I want someone to know that I'm in there,
- 9:07Speaker 2: When I want someone to know I'm in there, I'll
- 9:08Speaker 2: pee into the water.
- 9:10Speaker 3: I'm on my own pee on the side.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Don't want to get a noise, Yeah, especially when you
- 9:13Speaker 1: sleep and pen in side.
- 9:15Speaker 2: What did you try and change about him his job
- 9:17Speaker 2: so he could earn more money?
- 9:19Speaker 3: Facts girl, fact girl. You want to be a stay
- 9:21Speaker 3: at home girlfriend, you go get him to earn that brand.
- 9:26Speaker 3: What did you try and change about him? No foreplay,
- 9:29Speaker 3: no for play.
- 9:31Speaker 2: That's the best part.
- 9:32Speaker 3: I think he didn't do full play.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Oh you wanted to add some four play.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Yeah, the best part for you?
- 9:37Speaker 2: What's not the best part. But it's like the build up.
- 9:39Speaker 2: It's like I think that it's because you know you're
- 9:41Speaker 2: going to get set. It's like I love the foreplay
- 9:43Speaker 2: part because it's the build up of it.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Like he said, yeah, you know you're gonna get said yeah, yeah.
- 9:47Speaker 3: I think that's where when the drell and starts to hit.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 9:50Speaker 2: What did you try and change about him? Him liking
- 9:53Speaker 2: girls on Instagram?
- 9:55Speaker 1: I think we said that one said that we doubled up,
- 10:00Speaker 1: but fact we got to say we got to say
- 10:03Speaker 1: it twice.
- 10:04Speaker 3: What did you try and change about him? His type?
- 10:08Speaker 3: Oh you weren't his tied? Yeah, didn't work.
- 10:14Speaker 2: What did you try and change about him? Thought I
- 10:17Speaker 2: could make him fall in love so deep he wouldn't
- 10:19Speaker 2: move overseas for two plus years dot dot dot he left.
- 10:27Speaker 1: It's let her be de Lulu. We back you go
- 10:30Speaker 1: for it, go for it? Going off Instagram again? What
- 10:33Speaker 1: did you try and change about him? His Instagram? I
- 10:38Speaker 1: wonder if he means his feed or his actual or
- 10:40Speaker 1: his following.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Who was he following?
- 10:42Speaker 1: Or is like aesthetically pleasing photos he posted? True guys
- 10:46Speaker 1: don't think about that girls do that. Girls are even
- 10:48Speaker 1: post a reel and then they'll put a cover photo
- 10:51Speaker 1: on the reel that's not even part of the reel,
- 10:53Speaker 1: so it looks good on their feet.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Crazy. That's me that we've got followers, dounds that follows.
- 10:59Speaker 3: There's an order and like I see a lot of
- 11:02Speaker 3: influencers they do.
- 11:04Speaker 1: You can pick a cover photo for like the reels
- 11:06Speaker 1: they post, like it, n it's pretty one, something like
- 11:08Speaker 1: that look really good.
- 11:09Speaker 3: I don't think we don't pick anything. No, we don't
- 11:11Speaker 3: pick a thing.
- 11:11Speaker 2: We just let it land or whatever. I just let
- 11:13Speaker 2: it land and do anything. I don't give a shit. Yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 2: that's part of the thing. What did you try and change?
- 11:19Speaker 2: About him waking up thirty minutes before the desired wake
- 11:23Speaker 2: up time just to hit snooze four times. I hate that,
- 11:26Speaker 2: And he says, come on, just wake up on time.
- 11:28Speaker 3: My girlfriend does that? Hey does she so off it?
- 11:31Speaker 3: When I'm over.
- 11:31Speaker 1: She's sort of changing, but she would just because she
- 11:33Speaker 1: can fall back asleep, whereas if I hear want alarm,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I'm awake.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Oh I can fall back asleep. No, I'm good.
- 11:37Speaker 1: So she's one and ten minutes later, another one ten
- 11:40Speaker 1: minutes later, and I'm like, what are you doing to
- 11:41Speaker 1: set one for like eight o'clock?
- 11:43Speaker 3: That's so funny.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I literally this morning, I snoozed mine three times this morning,
- 11:48Speaker 2: but I didn't fall back asleep. I just snoozed it
- 11:50Speaker 2: to like remind me to get up. I was just
- 11:52Speaker 2: sitting there like resting because I was on my own,
- 11:54Speaker 2: so I didn't care.
- 11:55Speaker 3: But if I'm with my girlfriend, I'll wake up. I
- 11:58Speaker 3: just forget to get up.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I was just like because I didn't want to fall
- 12:02Speaker 2: back to sleep. I was because if I fell back asleep
- 12:04Speaker 2: that I wouldn't woke up to you got it?
- 12:05Speaker 3: Yeah, like what are you doing? I would have been rushing.
- 12:07Speaker 3: It would have been fucking annoyed with myself. That's why
- 12:09Speaker 3: I didn't get any dilemmas.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I didn't pick any dilemmas because that's I thought, what
- 12:17Speaker 1: did you try and change about him? His lack of
- 12:20Speaker 1: six pack?
- 12:24Speaker 3: We got.
- 12:24Speaker 1: We gotta praise the getting your man healthy, but come on,
- 12:29Speaker 1: six pack of true.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Six Everyone's or girls out there are like, I want
- 12:34Speaker 2: a dad, but I want a dad boy.
- 12:35Speaker 3: You're lying, You're lying.
- 12:38Speaker 2: If you don't want to set a washboard abs girl,
- 12:40Speaker 2: you could fucking wash your clothes on the back of
- 12:42Speaker 2: the Old Times in a river.
- 12:44Speaker 3: It's soap up on that ship.
- 12:45Speaker 2: All you want to do is feel the bumps and grooves.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I know you do.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Yeah, pillows if you're laying on stomachs that have six packs.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Fuck yeah. All right, that's the start of the episode.
- 12:57Speaker 3: We've got a big episode coming up. Enjoy the rest
- 12:59Speaker 3: of it.
- 13:06Speaker 1: All right, up next, Jake, I want to talk a
- 13:08Speaker 1: little bit about imposter syndrome, and I want to ask, firstly,
- 13:13Speaker 1: did you think it's a very relatable thing to so
- 13:16Speaker 1: Imposter syndrome is sort of like you get maybe someone
- 13:20Speaker 1: get a promotion in job, or you get somewhere a
- 13:22Speaker 1: little bit higher, and you get there and you're like, fuck,
- 13:24Speaker 1: I don't deserve to be here, and you're like I'm
- 13:26Speaker 1: not good enough, that I'm not good enough, feeling and
- 13:27Speaker 1: you just sort.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Of always underqualified. Yeah, you're doubting yourself all the time.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Do you reckon? That's relatable? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I have
- 13:36Speaker 3: to be surely.
- 13:37Speaker 2: I think you've got to be slightly narcissistic in ways
- 13:41Speaker 2: to benefit yourself. But I feel like you've got to
- 13:42Speaker 2: be like sometimes if you truly believe you belong there.
- 13:47Speaker 3: You're stronger than I am.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I know. And so here's where it comes
- 13:51Speaker 1: into me and then we can relate it to everyone.
- 13:54Speaker 1: So recently, very grateful the pot he's doing very very well,
- 13:58Speaker 1: but very over critical on myself, I think. And because
- 14:02Speaker 1: I edit the podcast, I noticed very very little things
- 14:06Speaker 1: and I don't know. I just got in my own head,
- 14:08Speaker 1: like last week with my speech, because I often mumble
- 14:10Speaker 1: and like I say a word that's not the correct thing.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Everyone understands what I'm saying, but I'll say the wrong thing.
- 14:17Speaker 1: And like this past week, I was like doubting my confidence.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I was like, what the fuck's wrong with me? Like
- 14:22Speaker 1: up until a prior, I was like completely fine, ah.
- 14:24Speaker 3: And I don't know what it was.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And I was just like in my own head, and
- 14:27Speaker 1: I've came down to it, I was like, what am
- 14:29Speaker 1: I talking about. I've been doing this flat two years.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I've been grinding, Like I'm good at what I do.
- 14:33Speaker 1: You can, it's evident by the listeners we're getting. Yeah,
- 14:36Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah blah lah lah.
- 14:37Speaker 3: But I was just like that's so relatable.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I'm just doubting myself out of absolutely nowhere for absolutely
- 14:42Speaker 1: no reason.
- 14:42Speaker 3: And I've always talked like this my whole life, like
- 14:44Speaker 3: I can't really change that.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Yeah, And has anyone ever said to you like, fuck
- 14:48Speaker 2: you mumble?
- 14:48Speaker 3: No?
- 14:48Speaker 1: Not really, No, It's just me being an imposter in myself.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I'm like, why is the human nature so fucked about
- 14:54Speaker 1: ourself that we could never be like grateful for the
- 14:56Speaker 1: position we're in. Why can't I just be like I'm
- 14:58Speaker 1: a beast, I could be here.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Well, the funny thing about that is is so once
- 15:02Speaker 2: you start to, like they say, you take a photo
- 15:04Speaker 2: of yourself and you zoom in on it, that's when you,
- 15:05Speaker 2: like and you can really dissect what you look like
- 15:08Speaker 2: or even like, I'll look at myself in the mirror
- 15:10Speaker 2: and I know for a fact, and I hate it.
- 15:13Speaker 2: My face is lopsided, dude, I swear to you. I
- 15:19Speaker 2: don't know if it's a fucking hallucination or a what's
- 15:22Speaker 2: it called when like a whatever you call it. I
- 15:25Speaker 2: swear literally, I swear to God this I and like
- 15:30Speaker 2: this part of my mouth is slightly lower than the
- 15:33Speaker 2: other side. But I don't want to look at you
- 15:34Speaker 2: now because I'm fucking insecure, all right, Yeah, but I am. Also,
- 15:40Speaker 2: what I was getting at was because you edit the podcast.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Of whatever one listens to, and then I had all
- 15:45Speaker 3: of the clips.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you have more time to like dissect everything about yourself.
- 15:53Speaker 2: And I guarantee you that you don't dissect what I do. No,
- 15:57Speaker 2: you only dissect what you do, don't you? Or do
- 15:59Speaker 2: you do both? I probably do myself one hundredercent more. Yeah,
- 16:02Speaker 2: I do a little bit of you sometimes.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Yeah, when we're reading something, I make us both sound
- 16:07Speaker 1: how much had anything to do for me? Not as much,
- 16:12Speaker 1: but but but bringing it back to everybody, I feel like,
- 16:16Speaker 1: even when I was playing soccer, anything you get, you
- 16:18Speaker 1: get in a position where you don't feel like you're
- 16:20Speaker 1: meant to be there, and it comes back down to that.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I often, I really believe in this saying it's like
- 16:26Speaker 1: fake it till you make it. Yeah, okay, even though
- 16:28Speaker 1: some people think we've made it. But that's relatable in
- 16:30Speaker 1: any type of any fashion, Like you're in a position
- 16:33Speaker 1: that you're like, fuck, everyone's like, I don't know, everyone's
- 16:35Speaker 1: better at me a podcast, in this job, everyone's better.
- 16:37Speaker 3: I'm like, just faked a. I think that's a good idea.
- 16:39Speaker 2: We have a friend actually, I'm he probably wouldn't care
- 16:42Speaker 2: to said his name, but I won't say this in case.
- 16:44Speaker 2: But so, we have a friend that's just starting like a.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Little media business and he he bought.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Some equipment and he's just been going and like knocking
- 16:53Speaker 2: on businesses doors and he was like offering free stuff.
- 16:56Speaker 2: And then now he's literally two weeks in and he's
- 16:59Speaker 2: got two pad clients I think definitely one, maybe two, Yeah,
- 17:03Speaker 2: definitely one. And he literally just like just started teaching
- 17:07Speaker 2: himself how to edit, how to like fly a drone,
- 17:10Speaker 2: how to get good camera.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Shots and admirable.
- 17:12Speaker 2: And he also would have just been I know, he
- 17:14Speaker 2: did one for free for a friend's business, and he
- 17:16Speaker 2: would have been going into that soa blind like look,
- 17:18Speaker 2: I don't he probably did it for free because he
- 17:20Speaker 2: was like, I had no expectations, I'll do my best.
- 17:22Speaker 2: This is my first one. I guarantee you he has
- 17:25Speaker 2: had a million times where he's thought, like in the
- 17:27Speaker 2: last two weeks and a million times where.
- 17:28Speaker 3: He's like, fuck, I have what am I doing? You know?
- 17:32Speaker 1: It's so funny, But also I also thought it was
- 17:35Speaker 1: do you think it's because people are overthinkers a lot
- 17:37Speaker 1: of the time? He's my example, being so back in
- 17:40Speaker 1: the day we talk about getting with the opposite sex
- 17:42Speaker 1: a lot of the time. Right, some of our friends
- 17:45Speaker 1: aren't quite the intellectual they're not.
- 17:47Speaker 3: They're a bit thick.
- 17:49Speaker 1: They're not very good at chatting, but they don't know
- 17:50Speaker 1: they're not very good at chatting because they're so thick.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And so if I would go up and talk to
- 17:55Speaker 1: a girl, I wouldn't do it because I was over
- 17:56Speaker 1: think of what I was going to say. I thought
- 17:58Speaker 1: I'd make a fool of myself. Whereas our friends were
- 18:00Speaker 1: very thick, and he would just say some dumb shit,
- 18:02Speaker 1: but he wouldn't know he was dumb and everyone.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Would just laugh.
- 18:05Speaker 1: But I would be overthinking things. And it's sort of
- 18:06Speaker 1: the same thing, Like if it's just so because I'm
- 18:09Speaker 1: an overthinker, I'm like, fuck, am I being I'm so
- 18:10Speaker 1: critical of myself? I was just a little bit like
- 18:12Speaker 1: thicker and me like I should be a bit full
- 18:14Speaker 1: of myself and just go into it blind and be
- 18:16Speaker 1: happy with what I do.
- 18:18Speaker 3: And he got a lot of more girls than I did.
- 18:20Speaker 2: So, but what you're saying is like you're more analytical
- 18:23Speaker 2: in the sense of you you realize when people are
- 18:25Speaker 2: laughing at you, not with you.
- 18:26Speaker 3: He realized.
- 18:27Speaker 2: He doesn't realize if people are laughing at him. He
- 18:29Speaker 2: just is laughing. He thinks they're laughing with yeah, whereas
- 18:31Speaker 2: they're laughing at him, and he just laughs along and
- 18:33Speaker 2: he's like yeah, he plays it off, yeah, yeah, man, which.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Is probably I think that's a better way to be.
- 18:38Speaker 3: I wish I could do that.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Bet you. They don't experience much what's it called. What
- 18:41Speaker 2: are we calling this again, imposterive syndrome. I'm trying to
- 18:44Speaker 2: think of imposter syndrome I have experienced, And I think
- 18:48Speaker 2: the podcast is one where I go through phases where
- 18:55Speaker 2: I definitely think, like I think it's where let's we're
- 19:00Speaker 2: recording in a few days and I'm trying to think
- 19:03Speaker 2: of some content for the podcast, and I'm trying to
- 19:05Speaker 2: think of new stuff. I don't want to keep repeating stuff,
- 19:07Speaker 2: which I think we're pretty good out. We don't really
- 19:08Speaker 2: repeat eat stuff other than like dilemmas and stuff. But
- 19:11Speaker 2: that's the thing that people like to listen to. But
- 19:13Speaker 2: I want to think of new things for just like
- 19:15Speaker 2: kind of funny stuff. And sometimes if I'm struggling to think,
- 19:18Speaker 2: I'm just like are we even funny? Are we even
- 19:21Speaker 2: good at what we do? And I get in my
- 19:23Speaker 2: own head and I think, why the fuck does anyone
- 19:25Speaker 2: listen to what we post? And I get so and
- 19:29Speaker 2: that's the That's probably one of the times where I
- 19:30Speaker 2: feel it. I'm like, why does anyone listen to anything
- 19:33Speaker 2: we have to say?
- 19:34Speaker 1: But it just comes back down the human nature. Hey,
- 19:36Speaker 1: I think that's so reliable everything everybody ever does. You're
- 19:39Speaker 1: just like, is that even good?
- 19:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 19:41Speaker 2: And then in other people's senses of like you're going
- 19:44Speaker 2: to a job that you really want and you feel
- 19:47Speaker 2: underqualified for it, that must be the most insane feeling
- 19:51Speaker 2: of like I don't belong here, but they hired you
- 19:54Speaker 2: for a reason.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Like, it's it's an interesting thing that we go through.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Analytical side takeaway is everyone goes through it. I'm hoping
- 20:04Speaker 1: I'm out of it now, but.
- 20:05Speaker 3: I bet you never will be. I'm just gonna fake
- 20:07Speaker 3: it till I make it.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, there's no way that there's people getting asked
- 20:11Speaker 2: to host big TV shows and they go up there
- 20:14Speaker 2: and they go a this, what why is anyone going
- 20:16Speaker 2: to watch this?
- 20:17Speaker 3: Because of me? There's no way they're going to watch
- 20:18Speaker 3: this because of me. They made a big mistake here.
- 20:19Speaker 3: I can't believe and get to disappoint everyone.
- 20:21Speaker 2: There's no way that's not gone through their heads.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Funny, it doesn't.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Then you're the level of narcissistic that's probably perfect for show.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Beer, is all.
- 20:28Speaker 1: They just don't talk about it because they think they
- 20:29Speaker 1: have to be that like trophy level person, whereas we
- 20:33Speaker 1: are relatables.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Yeah, just relatables. I'll leave it on that.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Okay, guys, we're bringing in a fresh news segment. It's
- 20:46Speaker 2: gonna be a quick little game that we're going to
- 20:48Speaker 2: play every once in a while. We think it's going
- 20:49Speaker 2: to be funny.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Why am I nervous?
- 20:51Speaker 2: Oh, he's a little nervous. He's very rarely nervous. We're
- 20:53Speaker 2: gonna be this is what we're gonna do. Okay, we're
- 20:55Speaker 2: both going to guess of a price. Okay, what we're
- 21:00Speaker 2: gonna do is we're gonna call a cafe local to
- 21:03Speaker 2: us in the area. Whatever we're going to say, Hey,
- 21:07Speaker 2: playing a game on our podcast. How much was your
- 21:11Speaker 2: most recent order? How much did the person spend? But
- 21:15Speaker 2: before we do it, so I'm going to guess a
- 21:17Speaker 2: number like fifteen dollars eighty and he's going to guess
- 21:19Speaker 2: twenty one dollars closest to it wins.
- 21:23Speaker 3: It's a little challenge and.
- 21:25Speaker 2: We're kind of hopefully the first cafe says yes, yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 2: so this it's going to be interesting.
- 21:30Speaker 3: So we've got a cafe. What's it called South End
- 21:33Speaker 3: Social Gospel? South End Social Gospel. This is like, it's
- 21:36Speaker 3: funny because it's not even a.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Frank call, like we're just playing a game.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Okay, are you talking to me? Or who do you
- 21:42Speaker 3: want to talk? I don't mind you talk.
- 21:49Speaker 2: You said you don't mind.
- 21:51Speaker 3: I was hoping you'd say I do. I'm nervous.
- 21:54Speaker 1: All right, let's just get the number before we get
- 21:56Speaker 1: into it. Jake, how much do you think the last
- 21:58Speaker 1: order of the cafe was?
- 22:00Speaker 2: So?
- 22:00Speaker 3: What time is it?
- 22:01Speaker 1: It's like one.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Thirty bit after lunch. People could be getting lunch or
- 22:05Speaker 2: they could be getting an afternoon coffee. I think I'm
- 22:07Speaker 2: going to take a risk and I'm going to say
- 22:09Speaker 2: six dollars and fifty cents.
- 22:10Speaker 3: That's it. Someone's just got a coffee. The last order
- 22:13Speaker 3: was a coffee.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I'm going nah, it's lunchtime, dude, way more. I reckon like,
- 22:18Speaker 1: I just got to get more though, so let's go
- 22:21Speaker 1: eighteen dollars okay, cool flat? Yeah, eighteen flat? Are they
- 22:25Speaker 1: going to be piste off that we're like calling them
- 22:27Speaker 1: to ask?
- 22:27Speaker 3: Who cares? Let's see what they say?
- 22:29Speaker 2: Okay, good afternoon social, great speaking today.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Hey Glen, how's it going mate?
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yeah? Living the dream?
- 22:38Speaker 3: Yeah great. I'm actually on a podcast right now. We're
- 22:40Speaker 3: planning a bit of a game.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Is there any chance you could please tell us what
- 22:43Speaker 1: the last how much the last order costs at your cafe?
- 22:48Speaker 3: It last order was four dollars four Yes, thank you
- 23:03Speaker 3: so much, Glenn, You're a legend. I just lost.
- 23:10Speaker 2: I knew it was a coffee that price.
- 23:12Speaker 3: It was probably a piccolo.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Yes, shit, that was fucking beautiful.
- 23:16Speaker 3: I knew it. Afternoon coffee.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Everyone's just had their lunch and they're like, wait, let's
- 23:19Speaker 2: get just get.
- 23:19Speaker 3: A coffee before we go back to work. What a
- 23:21Speaker 3: j though. It was a good bloke. Also, I think
- 23:25Speaker 3: what we should start doing is what was that cafe called?
- 23:28Speaker 3: We shout it out? It was called South End Social,
- 23:31Speaker 3: South End Social. Glen. The way he answers the phone
- 23:35Speaker 3: was brilliant. I've never answered a phone like that in
- 23:39Speaker 3: my life, even when I worked at.
- 23:41Speaker 2: A restaurant, all is like, uh, hello hello, I'll be
- 23:46Speaker 2: like such and such restaurant.
- 23:47Speaker 3: This is jake. That's all I would do.
- 23:49Speaker 2: And then even you're like, how are you going to
- 23:50Speaker 2: living the dreams down?
- 23:51Speaker 3: Yeah? That was amazing. He was good. We should get
- 23:54Speaker 3: him on. Oh sure, this that was fun. Yeah, that
- 23:57Speaker 3: was fun.
- 23:58Speaker 1: And what the game plan is, We're going to do
- 23:59Speaker 1: a few more of these down the track, but eventually
- 24:01Speaker 1: we're going to get a listener to guess the price. Yeah,
- 24:05Speaker 1: and if the listener gets it within a dollar, we're
- 24:07Speaker 1: gonna send them some free merch.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Send them some free merch. So that was funny. That
- 24:11Speaker 3: was that was very scary? Was that so scary talking
- 24:15Speaker 3: to people? Man?
- 24:23Speaker 2: Okay, guys, we're gonna finish it off with a quick dilemma.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Festival dilemma. Oh, my boyfriend is going to a music
- 24:29Speaker 2: festival festival with a couple of work friends, both female.
- 24:34Speaker 2: They know he has a girlfriend now and he talks
- 24:36Speaker 2: about me often. But when me and him were on
- 24:39Speaker 2: a break once a while ago, one of the girls
- 24:41Speaker 2: tried to make a move on him. He said, I
- 24:44Speaker 2: can come too, but knows it's not my sort of music,
- 24:47Speaker 2: which is right. One of the girls is in a
- 24:49Speaker 2: relationship and her boyfriend is also slightly icky about it too,
- 24:54Speaker 2: and the one who made a move is now talking
- 24:55Speaker 2: to someone. He's reassured me nothing would happen, and it
- 24:59Speaker 2: is literally just because they all get on at work
- 25:02Speaker 2: and like the same music. He's in his own tent. Basically,
- 25:06Speaker 2: even though he's reassured me, whilst he's away for the weekend,
- 25:09Speaker 2: I feel nervy. So how can I distract myself?
- 25:12Speaker 3: Icky? Wicky, dicky, sneaky, wikky. I don't like it.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I say, you don't distract yourself, no, because why should
- 25:20Speaker 2: you have to do that when your boyfriend is putting
- 25:23Speaker 2: him in he's putting himself in a situation that's making
- 25:27Speaker 2: you feel icky. It would be slightly, very slightly, very
- 25:34Speaker 2: very slightly different if he was going with two girls
- 25:37Speaker 2: they both had a boyfriend and while you were on
- 25:39Speaker 2: a break, they had never made.
- 25:40Speaker 3: A move on him before.
- 25:41Speaker 2: But I would still disagree going to a festival because
- 25:45Speaker 2: he's she said, he's in his own tent. It's more
- 25:47Speaker 2: than one day with the opposite sex.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Why does he even want to though? Like why wouldn't
- 25:52Speaker 1: you want to go to a festival with your girlfriend?
- 25:54Speaker 2: He said, he said, you can come, but it's not
- 25:56Speaker 2: her type of music and she doesn't want to go.
- 25:57Speaker 1: That sounds like such like a half as stept, like
- 25:59Speaker 1: you can come if your one.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yeah, you can come too, like, but that's just I
- 26:04Speaker 2: don't why would you put yourself in that situation?
- 26:06Speaker 3: Like, why would you?
- 26:07Speaker 2: He knows for a fact obviously you've said something, and
- 26:10Speaker 2: he knows for a fact you feel key about it,
- 26:12Speaker 2: and he is still going and he's okay with it.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I would say, yeah, So firstly, I don't think it's
- 26:17Speaker 1: right on his part. But if he doesn't see it's
- 26:20Speaker 1: a problem, I reckon, just go and cop the bad music?
- 26:23Speaker 3: Okay, why not? I was gonna say, breakup with him?
- 26:26Speaker 3: It's not really, dude, it's not that bad. You don't
- 26:29Speaker 3: think so oh, it's it's bad that like he doesn't
- 26:32Speaker 3: see it's a problem.
- 26:33Speaker 2: I don't think, no, hes to see this as a
- 26:36Speaker 2: problem doing his breakup worthy. I do think he's break
- 26:40Speaker 2: up with really yeah, I actually do.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Okay, I different there. I don't think it's breakup worthy.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I just think it's like disrespectful.
- 26:46Speaker 3: For yourself and I know it's not your relationship.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Put the fact that the hitting on her ones, but yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 26:51Speaker 1: why is he I just don't understand why he wants
- 26:53Speaker 1: to go.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Yeah, like if my girlfriend and I once had a
- 26:56Speaker 2: break and two and there was two guys that work
- 26:59Speaker 2: he's friends with, and one of them tried to she
- 27:01Speaker 2: said to me when we got back to such and
- 27:03Speaker 2: such tried to make a move on me. And then
- 27:04Speaker 2: a few months later she's like, I'm going to a
- 27:06Speaker 2: festival with the two dudes.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Oh, you're changing my mind. I'd be like, bitch, you
- 27:12Speaker 1: changed my mind. Yeah, I think. Yeah, there's a serious
- 27:15Speaker 1: conversation needs to be hard about how this makes you feel.
- 27:18Speaker 1: And if he does, if he's still going, maybe Jake's
- 27:20Speaker 1: option is the best break up with him.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Unfortunately, Sorry, it's bad. He's got bad music taste anyway,
- 27:26Speaker 3: he's got bad music.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Unless it's a country music festival, good music test.
- 27:34Speaker 3: That's a tricky one.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Some a guy that would do something like this is
- 27:36Speaker 2: always a tough of music. It's like trans music too.
- 27:38Speaker 2: There's no way it's not trans festival. To sorry to appropriate,
- 27:42Speaker 2: but there's no way it's not a trance festival, and
- 27:44Speaker 2: he's like.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Thanks for listening. Guys.
- 27:56Speaker 2: If you want more, hold up, you need more.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys need more. Pay where it's at five
- 28:01Speaker 1: dollars a month. It's basically free. I don't know why
- 28:02Speaker 1: you haven't become a member yet.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Dollars seventy five a week twenty.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Five yeah, don't add extra money. And then we've got
- 28:09Speaker 1: two extra tears. If you want extra Dilemma episodes every fortnight,
- 28:12Speaker 1: it's like ten bucks. And then if you want a
- 28:14Speaker 1: vlog and all the other stuff we just talked about,
- 28:16Speaker 1: it's fifteen dollars and the logs are just behind the
- 28:19Speaker 1: scenes of Jake and I being ourselves.
- 28:21Speaker 3: It's so fun.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Early access to any merchandise that could possibly be coming
- 28:25Speaker 2: out very soon, that is coming out soon.
- 28:27Speaker 3: I've got it there. It's not on camera. You can't
- 28:28Speaker 3: say that.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Guess who's going to get first access patreons.
- 28:33Speaker 3: But either way, we love you. Thanks for tuning in.
- 28:35Speaker 1: We'll see ya whenever we see ya.
