  [SPEAKER_00]: It's just the list goes on and on and Liam Cohen is certainly an offensive play caller and designer that is going to utilize that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: with the Jaguar as this year, then you did with the Buccaneers last year, and the Buccaneers utilized at a very high clip.

  [SPEAKER_00]: On play number one again, you had motion at the snap, you had strange kind of switching the numbers going across the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A decent little run for tank bigs, but nothing special, nothing right home about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But also keeping you on schedule, getting a few yards, three yards on first down.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Then you had a big time play action shot against a two deep zone.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is a guy that throughout his time at LSU, a lot of folks talked about how his practices weren't very impressive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Look what he did when he got a ton of reps during his final year at LSU.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He absolutely dominated last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Practices, not very impressive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Look what it does in the regular season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This year, same thing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not worried about it until it's a problem.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a problem right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, you have to drop.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now you have third down, you have motion, of course.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have crossing patterns, patterns that don't get open.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Hainesy kind of got bullied on the play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so Lawrence is dealing with pressure pretty quickly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Strange sells an out-rout, whips it back inside, and Lawrence is able to get through his progressions, avoid the pressure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There was a guy right in his face when Hansie got beat.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Avoid the pressure, step to his left, step up in the pocket, deliver to Britain Strange on the move.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It really was cool to see.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely loved that play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Motion on the next play to get blocking numbers on a toss to tank Bigsby.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was a solid run, nothing crazy, but you motion strange over to get numbers in your favor on the left side of the offensive field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So again, you're seeing the different utilizations of motion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: On the next drop back, you have strange in motion again.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was moving all over the place.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This one felt a little wonky.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I felt like the timing was off.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You had a tight end and a back going out to where on the right side of the field where Lawrence could have dumped it off and then the back has a blocker in front of him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then on the offensive left side, you have a one-on-one with Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It looked like he wanted to hit Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: early, but then it wasn't open, tried to move off of it, worked through his progressions, didn't see anything, ended up evading the pocket coming back to Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and getting a first down so I thought that overall very good blocking on that play just a little wonky probably something that they talked about try to figure out

  [SPEAKER_00]: how to make sure that that is a little bit better execution next time, but it's still worked out very nicely for the Jaguars offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Next play Lawrence worked through his progression again to find Britain strange, good base, accurate football, nice gain, then you had a sweep to Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Good to see Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: getting involved in the jet sweep game, and that actually was

  [SPEAKER_00]: a play that they faked a sweep to Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: later on, so kind of the play sequencing and the ability to show one thing, get it even used to use to that and then flip it on and sad later on, always a good thing and something you'll see a lot in Liam Cohen's offense, then you had tank

  [SPEAKER_00]: Biggs be motioning into the backfield, had a screen and it was a really nice design on the screen because only two of the offensive linemen behaved as they were going to be screening the rest of the offensive line kind of stayed in the normal pass pro.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't as clear as it normally is to the defense that this was gonna be a screen, but it was well executed.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tank Biggs be made several guys mess in space picked up like twenty plus yards.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Really good play by tank.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously he needs to show that he can catch the football to be in on passing down to be in on screen type plays.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He did a good job there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Very good stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then on the next play you have Cleveland getting Trevor's foot and turnover.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence has to not fumble the ball as your Cleveland has to not

  [SPEAKER_00]: Step on his foot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That type of play probably won't happen again all year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the issue here is this is the type of play that can cost you a football game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they're going to work the kinks out in that again.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If ever, it's probably not going to get stepped on by as you're Cleveland again this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's these types of issues, not this specific issue, but issues where you just have a mental mistake and unforester, whatever it is, and it costs the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Preseason, don't wanna overreact, but this is a team that you've seen a lot of mental errors.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not saying Trevor had a mental error.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That was more on Cleveland in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But it's something you can't have, something you gotta work out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Drops, you can't have them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: These types of plays can't have them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Passes that get dropped and pop up to be intercepted.

  [SPEAKER_00]: These are the types of plays that have plagued the Jaguars for a long time that you want to try to avoid.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Overall, very good first drive finished just as bad as it possibly can outside of like them returning it for a touchdown.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, you have more motion to start, and then you have a nice play action, shot, progressing, you know, play action to Travis ETN.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody picks up ETN out of the backfield, and he's wide open, Lawrence quickly hits him for like eight yards.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Then you have that motion, fake Jep's Jet Sweep to Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Brent and Strange pulled into the interior of the line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: ETN got a chunk play broke two tackles.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was really good to see that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He, I know people want to write him off or write Bigsby off and just get the rookies out there and I think that Basel Tutan is their best back, but I think having all four of these guys available to utilize with Bigsby, with ETN, with two, and then Lee Quint Allen is going to be the best outcome for the Jaguar this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You had a front side dig concept complete to Parker Washington.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Lawrence did good getting it out quick because Fred Johnson got cooked on the interior, not on the interior, but on an inside move.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Up next, you had a short easy completion of Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it was good to see Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: recover from the early drop and make plays for his quarterback.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's obviously an encouraging sign.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Lawrence can't the next play at the line, which is like their kill there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, we're going to change the play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Patrick McCary messed up his assignment, wrote down a different word in my notes, but Patrick McCary messed up his assignment.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Otherwise, I think that Biggs could have picked up a few more yards on that run, but it was good to see again talking about players bouncing back on the very next play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Patrick McCary buried.

  [SPEAKER_00]: the opponent opposing defense of Lyman and Fred Johnson got to the second level, ETN ran straight through the C gap there for a very nice gain.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think ETN wanted to score a touchdown, but it was a nice gain nonetheless.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then on the next play, Lawrence does a good job getting rid of it quickly, because Strange got beat one on one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Lawrence trying to give BT a little opportunity in the back of the end zone, but really just getting rid of the football in a bad situation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, strange getting matched up within a defensive end, one on one is not going to be like your ideal recipe for success.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You'd like him to do a little bit better job than he did, but at the same time,

  [SPEAKER_00]: that's not going to be typically what you want to see.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then the final play for the Jaguars starting offense, Parker Washington touched down.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have strange coming through to clear out some space and then Parker Washington coming in to sit right behind it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is something you see utilized in Liam Cohen's offense a lot where you have one player running through his own, kind of clearing out some space, the other player coming in right behind

  [SPEAKER_00]: where the initial player was and the space is vacated a little bit by the defense and you have good timing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Lawrence gets the ball to Parker Washington.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Parker Washington makes a guy miss.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Finds the end zone.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Great end to what was really a good day for the Jaguar starting off ends.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the jag starting off and should have put up fourteen points easily.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were moving the ball up and down the field with ease.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They just had one big mistake and one big mistake and you lose you a game in the NFL.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And this situation didn't lose them the game, but had they gone up fourteen nothing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They probably don't end up in a situation where they tie the game in the end.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, you don't want to harp too much on the results of a pre-season game, but these are the types of things that you want to work out the kinks before you get into the regular season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Overall, very, very good performance by Trevor Lawrence in this offense, but can't have that crucial mistake.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I love the way Liam Cummins dialing it up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I love the way he's improving the run game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It feels like now what you do have to say is this was against backups and it was against backups against Steelers and week one as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the jacks didn't have their full compliment either.

  [SPEAKER_00]: No Travis Hunter out there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: No Anton.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can't control your opponent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can't control how you handle your opponent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the jackwares have handled the opponents that they've been put up against offensively well, very well, overall.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Besides a mistake or two here, there that you want to continue to clean up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Last week, it was more about penalties, pre-snap, and post-snap a little bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One game changing mistake.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Good stuff continues to eliminate on forced errors and you'll be in a good spot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So they don't have a game tomorrow.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that this is also, even though you've seen a lot of refreshing things from a play calling and schematic standpoint from Liam Cohen, they have not even gotten close to showing like the full smorgersport of what they've got in store for the regular season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Nick Mullins, very mad for me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I will give him credit for the threading the needle throw

  [SPEAKER_00]: But on third down he didn't give Dorian Singer a chance on his first drive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's a pass that if it was better coverage could have been intercepted.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He did throw an interception to a linebacker later in the game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I give him credit for the last drive of the first half.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was really moving the ball down the field and executing and all that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But he just always seems to have some really head scratching decision that's some point.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and he does not have the strongest arm he's not the biggest most athletic guy obviously a lot of backups are going to be those things but

  [SPEAKER_00]: Very impressed, however, though, by a basaltooten in Lee Quint Allen, both doing a good job in this game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Basaltooten got his second touch down of the preseason.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He also had another play where he kept those legs churning, kept moving forward, long enough for more jagged wars offensive players to get behind him and help push him forward a little bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I love seeing that type of stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like you never saw that with the previous regime.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Lee Quint Allen had a bunch of catches, some nice runs, had a beautiful hurdle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He did fall one time in the open field, but other than that, he had a really good game overall.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like the guy's competing for the back end of the roster at Wide Receiver, which I had penciled in, C-Face as Wide Receiver five.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that that's really the case at this point, but the guy's, you know, Austin, Tramwell, Tramwell, Tramwell and Joshua C-Face, that all did a good job in this game overall.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One thing that Liam Cohen has tasked the wide receiver group as a whole with is now taking it personally when it comes to the run game in the screen game, making sure they're executing their assignments because that's the next level for the run game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They feel like they've got the offensive line doing a good job in the run game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now it's time for the receivers to really take it to the next level, become really good blockers because if they can do that, this can be a

  [SPEAKER_00]: The reason I brought it up with Tramil and Erwin is Erwin had an opportunity to block for Tramil did not get the job done and the DB made a play in the back field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But overall as receivers, those three Tramil Erwin see if it's continued to do a good job and make plays.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think those are the guys fighting for the bottom of the roster at receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Why am I, I'm dead, get hurt.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's weak to weak unfortunately.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The way he's played is what gave the Jack Wars the confidence to trade Luke Fortner, which is good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, I think he had like one missed assignment, but he made some really nice plays in this one gentleman I'm did in the run game and in pass protection.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So he's progressing nicely.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like John Wolford, you know, back to the quarterback's not doing very good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There was one play where I initially thought he kind of threw

  [SPEAKER_00]: a turnover worthy play, but camp camp or fell on the route.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it wasn't really his fault, but still even getting rid of that, I just don't think Wolford did a whole lot to impress you very much.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's athletic, he can scoot around and make some plays with his legs and evade the pocket and do that all that stuff, but I don't think he was very impressive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then Seth and again didn't really get a chance.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They put him in a insane situation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He threw one amazing throw.

  [SPEAKER_00]: down the field, you're tied seventeen seventeen all you need to do is get in camelittles range which is like around seventy yards and uh... and again threads the needle like wizardry down the field to quit more is in these kind of like your late game preseason uh... you know duo that's really getting the job done

  [SPEAKER_00]: But it wasn't enough because on the next play instead of running the ball or kneeling the ball under center.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were on the Saints' forty-two yard line, which means you are well within Camlittle's field goal range.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Instead of kneeling the ball from under center, which would have lost you like one yard, and you still would have been well within Camlittle's range, or running the ball and calling it time out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: don't understand why they threw the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, I know a lot of people like, oh, they wanted to see what Henningin would do in the situation, how he would perform.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you want to be situational masters, if you have a kicker and I bring up situational masters, because that's what we've been talking about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's what James Gladstone's been talking about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You are more than within Camelittal's field of orange.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Your best option is to get Camelittal on the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you want to try to get a little bit more, run the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you're not worried about getting more and you just want to get to that like two, three seconds left on the clock and get to that field goal, kneel it, time out, field goal.
