- 34:44Speaker 22: To che that's it could be the line I actually thereaga.
- 34:55Speaker 5: I see them all well, fucking girl Abo.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Let's go well I'm different.
- 35:15Speaker 7: That track right there is called Murder. Let's see them
- 35:18Speaker 7: out and their collaboration with Young Sammy and folks. Let's
- 35:22Speaker 7: invite Dj Geat into the episode.
- 35:24Speaker 2: How are you?
- 35:25Speaker 5: Dj Geat?
- 35:27Speaker 35: Hey Sammy, I'm doing great.
- 35:28Speaker 36: How are you?
- 35:29Speaker 7: We're doing well. We've been big fans of Zen Molly
- 35:33Speaker 7: care on the Bridge for a while. Happy to see
- 35:35Speaker 7: that you're reviewing one of his latest songs here.
- 35:39Speaker 35: Yes, I'm really excited to talk about this one. So
- 35:43Speaker 35: Vein has been stepping into this different space with his
- 35:46Speaker 35: upcoming album Gonacle, which is set to release April seventeenth
- 35:51Speaker 35: and very quickly. Gonacle is a South Indian vocal style
- 35:55Speaker 35: where rhythms are spoken for percussion rather than being played
- 36:00Speaker 35: on an instrument.
- 36:01Speaker 5: So interesting, Yeah, really cool.
- 36:04Speaker 35: And I don't think he picked that title randomly, so
- 36:08Speaker 35: I think we're in for a fusion. And so his
- 36:12Speaker 35: news track Sideways is already out. Production wise, it's minimal,
- 36:17Speaker 35: but you can hear this softness in his voice, the
- 36:21Speaker 35: ambient layers, and there's a very cyclical and controlled percussive rhythm.
- 36:28Speaker 35: There's a subtle pull towards South Asian influence, but it's
- 36:32Speaker 35: not super obvious, and vocally, Vain is definitely showing off
- 36:38Speaker 35: how vast of a vocal range he has without forcing it.
- 36:43Speaker 35: He moves very softly and smoothly between the tones, and
- 36:48Speaker 35: he lets control and tone do the work instead of
- 36:51Speaker 35: over singing.
- 36:52Speaker 13: So I love the flow he has in this song with.
- 36:56Speaker 35: His lyrics and production, and I think bigger pictures. Zain
- 37:00Speaker 35: has always been vocal and in touch with his South
- 37:04Speaker 35: Asian roots, but now I feel like he's leaning into
- 37:08Speaker 35: them with stronger intention. And as we can see, South
- 37:12Speaker 35: Asian sound isn't just niche anymore. It's become a very
- 37:17Speaker 35: popular influence. So Sideways feels less like a drop and
- 37:22Speaker 35: more like a preview. And with Gonna Go dropping April seventeenth,
- 37:27Speaker 35: I think this could be one of his most culturally
- 37:30Speaker 35: grounded intention eras yet.
- 37:33Speaker 7: I think so too well when I look at the
- 37:36Speaker 7: playlist of this album that he's dropping here on the
- 37:38Speaker 7: seventeenth of this month. The opening track on here is
- 37:42Speaker 7: called Nusret, which, as you guys know, I'm a Hugeli confan,
- 37:46Speaker 7: so I'm excited to see what that's all about, you know,
- 37:49Speaker 7: it should be very interesting. DJ Gee, thank you very
- 37:53Speaker 7: much for doing a review on this track. We're always
- 37:56Speaker 7: big fans of Zen Malik. Please do the honor and
- 38:00Speaker 7: introducing this track for everybody out there.
- 38:03Speaker 35: Thank you so much. I'm really excited to see what
- 38:05Speaker 35: he has in store for us, ladies and gentlemen. This
- 38:09Speaker 35: is they Knowlick and his song Sideways.
- 38:12Speaker 14: You're sorry, the.
- 38:16Speaker 37: You're here but ginns night, your eyes on the seat,
- 38:23Speaker 37: your body from my Yeah.
- 38:26Speaker 38: You plickas with love. Yeah, you plickas with love until
- 38:32Speaker 38: he's gone. You never get to know, You never get
- 38:38Speaker 38: to know for what you are.
- 38:40Speaker 39: I'm just looking at your side fast, face to face,
- 38:44Speaker 39: with your.
- 38:45Speaker 31: Lips a much had a legs on the poocase sidewise

- 39:15Speaker 38: They dangle your words like diamond. They caught me. Bod
- 39:20Speaker 38: eyes hit you. Yeah you plickas with love, Yeah, you
- 39:26Speaker 38: plickas with love.
- 39:27Speaker 9: Some feel it's gone.
- 39:29Speaker 6: You never get enough, you never getting Now you are.
- 39:36Speaker 39: I'most looking at your side, please face to face with
- 39:40Speaker 39: your lips somewhere and a legs on look ocase sidewise,
- 39:46Speaker 39: head and know where your long line lets to.
- 39:49Speaker 6: My almost looking at you.
- 39:52Speaker 40: Silwise sidewise sideways. Amos looking at you sidise sid.
- 40:02Speaker 9: Yeah, it has me to watch you and it hurs
- 40:09Speaker 9: me to watch you.
- 40:11Speaker 31: Sir had a lord it's going on bay, but I
- 40:16Speaker 31: just want to stay silence.
- 40:18Speaker 6: I'mus looking to your side. Where's face the face?
- 40:22Speaker 2: While your lips and Mike had a lex on the
- 40:25Speaker 2: pillow case.
- 40:27Speaker 14: Sidewise they didn't. Not with your long.
- 40:30Speaker 40: Line next to me, I must looking let you sidewise
- 40:35Speaker 40: sideways sad see. I'mos looking at you silence sidways.
- 40:44Speaker 31: Yeah, I was looking what you said fast face the
- 40:50Speaker 31: face while the lips a Mike had alex and suitcase
- 40:55Speaker 31: sidewise they didn't not with the love.
- 40:58Speaker 14: Lane next to my.
- 41:02Speaker 7: A new song by Zen Malik right there, and a
- 41:04Speaker 7: big shout out to DJ Geets for that big review.
- 41:08Speaker 5: Now let's pull in my money, man e the first
- 41:10Speaker 5: to the show. What's up? E?
- 41:12Speaker 36: Yeah, yo yo, what's happening man?
- 41:15Speaker 5: In this crazy world of ours?
- 41:18Speaker 7: I am always all ears for people that are looking
- 41:21Speaker 7: to be centered and looking to find some sort of
- 41:24Speaker 7: grounding in all of it. And in this new world,
- 41:27Speaker 7: there are definitely new ways of finding that spirituality. And
- 41:30Speaker 7: I couldn't think of a better person than you to.
- 41:33Speaker 5: Pontificate upon this topic with me, my man, So what
- 41:35Speaker 5: you got?
- 41:36Speaker 7: What are you thinking about the New age's spiritual life?
- 41:40Speaker 12: What is that?
- 41:40Speaker 36: What is that?
- 41:41Speaker 12: Like?
- 41:41Speaker 35: Now?
- 41:43Speaker 36: You know, I know you're out in Cali. We're all
- 41:46Speaker 36: the Bay Area or not be Area, but just out
- 41:49Speaker 36: in Cali. There's like that New Age spiritual movement always
- 41:52Speaker 36: you know, the hippie bippy culture. But I did this
- 41:55Speaker 36: episode on Monday kind of going deep into how like
- 42:00Speaker 36: the way meditation is supposed to work isn't just this
- 42:04Speaker 36: like mind what do they call it? A mindfulness or
- 42:08Speaker 36: whatever like bullshit white word that they've come up with.
- 42:12Speaker 36: But it's supposed to be more about this idea of
- 42:16Speaker 36: like always remembering your your true self, you know, and
- 42:23Speaker 36: you know in Seki, those are the kind of things
- 42:25Speaker 36: that the good is always kind of like saying. And
- 42:28Speaker 36: I think even when you look at Buddhism, it's the
- 42:30Speaker 36: same thing that you're you're not yourself, that you're you're
- 42:34Speaker 36: more than that, you're just like part of it all.
- 42:37Speaker 35: You're part of the.
- 42:37Speaker 36: Grand scheme, You're part of the universe, et cetera, et cetera.
- 42:41Speaker 36: And so that's this idea that I'm kind of like
- 42:43Speaker 36: positing out to people, which is that life is being
- 42:48Speaker 36: watered down through a lot of different mediums. But this
- 42:52Speaker 36: what I'm calling spiritual biohacking, you know, just like that
- 42:55Speaker 36: Brian Johnson guys trying to live forever similarly in that
- 42:58Speaker 36: type of arena. Because by hacking is about like, how
- 43:01Speaker 36: do you really connect with these meditative practices, what's the
- 43:04Speaker 36: real essence, what are the real concepts to take out
- 43:07Speaker 36: of them? Because a lot of people, again, they just
- 43:09Speaker 36: think it's like chanting or come doing yoga or doing
- 43:12Speaker 36: psychedelics and stuff like that. And I think that's when
- 43:15Speaker 36: people start getting lost in the sauce because they need
- 43:18Speaker 36: this other element. So when really, like I mean, and
- 43:20Speaker 36: I just argue, this is like it's all in you.
- 43:22Speaker 36: You know, you don't need to go to like Dickham
- 43:24Speaker 36: yoga and get sweated on by some Indian guys. You're
- 43:28Speaker 36: telling you that, like you know that you need to
- 43:31Speaker 36: be with them and whatnot.
- 43:35Speaker 5: Well, it's true. It's true.
- 43:38Speaker 7: The universe is within you, right, the cosmic dust, as
- 43:40Speaker 7: they say, the particles are there, and the same ones
- 43:43Speaker 7: that exist out there in the universe are indeed in you.
- 43:46Speaker 7: So scientifically even true as well to your point, you
- 43:50Speaker 7: don't need somebody to sweat on you to feel spiritual,
- 43:54Speaker 7: as they say.
- 43:56Speaker 36: Hmm.
- 43:58Speaker 7: From my perspective, is there a new path other than
- 44:03Speaker 7: you know looking I mean, I know that it's all
- 44:05Speaker 7: within us, but is there like a method that you
- 44:09Speaker 7: use to find this central kind of you know, grounding.
- 44:15Speaker 36: I think the answer is in the group runs man.
- 44:18Speaker 36: I am one of those like I am kind and
- 44:21Speaker 36: the brain dead like that where I think that, uh,
- 44:25Speaker 36: you know, I talked to you know, Mindeir from the
- 44:29Speaker 36: doctor Mandeir who wrote Sick Philosophy, and I have these
- 44:32Speaker 36: deep conversations and it's like there's just a lot that
- 44:34Speaker 36: we haven't discovered from like the sixth Scripture yet that
- 44:38Speaker 36: is like meant for even all peoples of all races,
- 44:41Speaker 36: of all ethnicities, but we just haven't unlocked it. But
- 44:44Speaker 36: there's a lot of secrets in there, you know. And
- 44:46Speaker 36: I think there's and you can see that in a
- 44:50Speaker 36: very simple message that Grenonic Davy was trying to preach
- 44:54Speaker 36: to many people, you know, and think about that, right,
- 44:57Speaker 36: if you're trying to make your message pallad by opposite
- 45:01Speaker 36: ends of spectrums and both sides can agree that it's amazing.
- 45:06Speaker 36: There is something there that that extends upon universality and
- 45:10Speaker 36: time and it's timeless. And I think that's where it's like,
- 45:14Speaker 36: you know, there's teachings that you don't need to become,
- 45:17Speaker 36: you know, baptized or do all that, but it's like
- 45:19Speaker 36: there's there's beautiful teachings in Sikhism and Buddhism and all
- 45:23Speaker 36: types of isms that you you know that but like, yeah,
- 45:26Speaker 36: if I want to say they're just you know, biased,
- 45:29Speaker 36: team biased, you know, Vickism has a lot more.
- 45:33Speaker 7: I feel your brother well on that note, my man,
- 45:36Speaker 7: thank you very much for hanging out with me. This
- 45:37Speaker 7: is a lot to take in here, of course, thank
- 45:41Speaker 7: you for having me and everybody. Make sure you hang
- 45:44Speaker 7: out and check out the Squared show right after us
