ISRAEL VOTES IN CLOSE RACE
Israelis are voting on Tuesday in their first general election since the Hamas attack of October 7, 2023.
Polls point to a tight race between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Gadi Eisenkot, a former military chief. Netanyahu is on trial for corruption. Eisenkot has pledged an independent state commission of inquiry into the security failures that led to October 7, which Netanyahu’s government has resisted.
