- 0:00Speaker 1: Stirring the pot one morning at a time. Welcome looking
- 0:05Speaker 1: through the Alabama Show.
- 0:16Speaker 2: All right, give me producer Blake's random question of the day.
- 0:19Speaker 2: You always ask weird questions. What's the one that is
- 0:23Speaker 2: the master recent?
- 0:24Speaker 3: Okay? If you were a pair of sunglasses, what would
- 0:27Speaker 3: your shape be?
- 0:29Speaker 2: I don't know the name of the shape. I would
- 0:33Speaker 2: be hair ray bands. No, I would be aviators. I
- 0:35Speaker 2: like the big aviators are cool. I know I'd be
- 0:38Speaker 2: something seventies. I look like a seventies spy.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Okay, like a lady James Bond, Jamie Bond.
- 0:46Speaker 2: What shape would you be? I think you'd be spectacles,
- 0:49Speaker 2: the round ones.
- 0:51Speaker 4: I was going to say, well, it's like, you know,
- 0:52Speaker 4: the Harry Potter glasses, but put that with shades on them.
- 0:55Speaker 2: That's completely I knew it. You'd be Ozzy Osbourne's glasses.
- 0:58Speaker 3: I actually have some of those in my car.
- 1:01Speaker 2: What about remember the sunglasses you stole from the studio
- 1:04Speaker 2: next door?
- 1:04Speaker 3: I stole them.
- 1:06Speaker 2: They were they were expensive pair of ray bands that
- 1:10Speaker 2: you did not look for the owner. You still got
- 1:12Speaker 2: those there were they were women's sunglasses. You don't even
- 1:15Speaker 2: know where they are. And they were women's sunglasses. That
- 1:18Speaker 2: is correct. We had a guest come in and she
- 1:20Speaker 2: left her sunglasses and somebody's studio and producer Blake said, keepsies.
- 1:25Speaker 5: It was like a month.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna keep on this over a month.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Everyone was asked, I hope she's listening anyway, Good morning,
- 1:33Speaker 2: Happy Thursday. Thank you for listening. You can call the
- 1:36Speaker 2: show if you want. Eight three thirty five x one.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Bama is the number.
- 1:41Speaker 1: It's what the hell headlines?
- 1:42Speaker 5: What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:44Speaker 1: On the Alabama Show.
- 1:47Speaker 2: There's a new pill that can report if you have
- 1:49Speaker 2: swallowed it.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Are you serious?
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yes, mit, researchers just developed and experimental pill that transmits
- 2:01Speaker 2: radio signals from inside your stomach to confirm the medication
- 2:06Speaker 2: was taken. It has a biodegradable zinc cellulose antenna. What
- 2:11Speaker 2: so you're literally swallowing miniature antennas.
- 2:14Speaker 3: The conspiracy theorists are about to have a field day.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah. It works with the small radio chip to send
- 2:19Speaker 2: confirmation signals within ten minutes. So no more lying about
- 2:23Speaker 2: taking your medicine.
- 2:26Speaker 6: It's super easy trivia with the Alabama Show.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Producer Blake, come on down, coming down. You are the
- 2:35Speaker 2: contestant today for really hard trivia.
- 2:37Speaker 3: All right, I'm okay because.
- 2:40Speaker 2: You always get the really easy ones. We're going to
- 2:42Speaker 2: see how good you are?
- 2:43Speaker 3: You ready? Okay?
- 2:44Speaker 2: Question number one producer Blake. What city is nicknamed the
- 2:49Speaker 2: Windy City?
- 2:51Speaker 3: That would be Chicago?
- 2:53Speaker 2: Good job?
- 2:54Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Next one, The Starry Night is a famous painting.
- 2:59Speaker 5: From which artist Vincent Van go Good job buddy.
- 3:04Speaker 2: By the way, if you're playing along in your car,
- 3:06Speaker 2: I don't know how. I don't know how you know
- 3:08Speaker 2: all these hard questions.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I know my stuff somewhat.
- 3:11Speaker 2: This will make you smarter on your way to work
- 3:13Speaker 2: this morning. Last one for the wind producer Blake. Okay,
- 3:16Speaker 2: what is the tallest mountain in the world? Tallest mountain
- 3:21Speaker 2: in the world.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I think it says on their Mount Everest.
- 3:26Speaker 2: But what was your best?
- 3:27Speaker 3: That's not the actual answer.
- 3:28Speaker 4: There's like two mountains that are taller, but no Mount
- 3:32Speaker 4: Everest is the one that's known from Evereston.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Yes, congratulations, buddy, you won.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Thank you. I needed this win.
- 3:49Speaker 1: There's three things you need to know you.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Don't forget.
- 3:53Speaker 2: You can name a cockroach after your ex at the
- 3:57Speaker 2: Birmingham Zoo and all the money goes to ben fit
- 4:00Speaker 2: the animals.
- 4:00Speaker 5: At the zoo.
- 4:01Speaker 2: So you name your ex after a cockroach and help
- 4:03Speaker 2: an animal and you.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Get a certificate.
- 4:05Speaker 2: It's great. If you want to do it, you got
- 4:07Speaker 2: to do it. By February twelfth. You can get more
- 4:09Speaker 2: at the Birmingham Zoos website. You can now take your
- 4:13Speaker 2: vacation on the moon.
- 4:15Speaker 3: What do you mean you can take your vacation on
- 4:16Speaker 3: the moon.
- 4:17Speaker 2: A new company is officially taking reservations for a luxury
- 4:20Speaker 2: hotel on the Moon. They are accepting early bird deposits
- 4:25Speaker 2: of one million dollars. They plan to launch its first
- 4:29Speaker 2: inflatable hotel for guests by twenty thirty two, eventually upgrading
- 4:34Speaker 2: to a more permanent structure built out of moon bricks
- 4:37Speaker 2: made from lunar soil.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Okay, that honestly, that sounds kind of cool.
- 4:41Speaker 5: There's no gravity.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I know that you're gonna float in the air off
- 4:45Speaker 2: your bed.
- 4:46Speaker 3: That's why you put on bungee streams. You keep coming back.
- 4:50Speaker 5: It's an inflatable hotel.
- 4:52Speaker 2: What if it detaches from the Moon and you go
- 4:55Speaker 2: floating off into space. That's the worst idea ever to
- 4:58Speaker 2: be staying in a giant balloon where there's no gravity.
- 5:00Speaker 3: No, if there's nothing that pushes you forward in momentum
- 5:03Speaker 3: in space. You're fine.
- 5:04Speaker 2: We don't know if the moon has earthquakes. We don't
- 5:06Speaker 2: know if there's evil aliens out there.
- 5:09Speaker 3: There might.
- 5:10Speaker 2: There's a new TikTok trend saying that you should jump
- 5:13Speaker 2: up and down fifty times every morning. What of course,
- 5:16Speaker 2: experts way in they say there are benefits. It'll build
- 5:19Speaker 2: bomb density and muscle and circulation. So let's do fifty
- 5:23Speaker 2: jump jacks right now.
- 5:24Speaker 3: How you doing that?
- 5:25Speaker 2: They do say, have your coffee first. Don't go right
- 5:28Speaker 2: out of bed and start jumping up and down fifty times,
- 5:30Speaker 2: because you can injure yourself. If you're not fully away,
- 5:34Speaker 2: somebody's gonna fall on their face. But as a trend,
- 5:37Speaker 2: I could get behind. That's three things you need to know.
- 5:40Speaker 2: More at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 5:42Speaker 6: The Alabama Show on to Man Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 5:46Speaker 2: When's the worst time your car has ever broken down?
- 5:50Speaker 2: Call the show by the way, Hi, I'm Alabama, almost said, Hey,
- 5:54Speaker 2: I'm producer, play Cliff Alabama, Alabama. It's been one of
- 5:58Speaker 2: those days.
- 5:59Speaker 5: You know, I had to call you.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I had to miss work because my car wouldn't start.
- 6:03Speaker 3: That is true, you were here, not at all.
- 6:06Speaker 2: It was like the biggest panic. So I ended up
- 6:09Speaker 2: having to get any battery because it's been so cold
- 6:12Speaker 2: this week. The battery just went on my car. I
- 6:15Speaker 2: couldn't even jump it, it was so dead. So I
- 6:17Speaker 2: finally started it, or I finally got a new battery,
- 6:21Speaker 2: put it in, started the car. Then I started driving.
- 6:24Speaker 2: This was a whole adventure. I started driving that day.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I was like, I'm gonna go get some groceries. So
- 6:28Speaker 2: I drove like thirty minutes to go get groceries. On
- 6:31Speaker 2: the highway. My car all of the lights start dinging
- 6:36Speaker 2: and the doors start locking and unlocking, and I was.
- 6:40Speaker 5: Like, oh my god, what am we gonna do?
- 6:42Speaker 2: And I called on Facebook Andrew Poor Andrew Manick mechanic.
- 6:46Speaker 2: He calls our show all the time. He is a mechanic.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I call him. I was like, Andrew, what's going on?
- 6:52Speaker 3: Why is my car doing this?
- 6:53Speaker 2: He goes, oh, you're alltnators going out?
- 6:58Speaker 3: Well, just one day after another.
- 7:00Speaker 2: He goes, you need an alternator. You can't get the voltage.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Your battery is gonna be dead tomorrow. I was like
- 7:04Speaker 2: what He was like, Yeah, if you don't, if you
- 7:06Speaker 2: don't get any alternator. You're not gonna be able to
- 7:08Speaker 2: make it to work tomorrow.
- 7:10Speaker 3: So did you go get an alternator?
- 7:12Speaker 2: No. I start freaking out and I hang up the
- 7:14Speaker 2: phone with him, and I'm like, there's no way because
- 7:17Speaker 2: I just bought this car three years ago. So I
- 7:20Speaker 2: call the car dealership and I was like, Hey, I
- 7:23Speaker 2: just don't put any battery in my car today, and
- 7:25Speaker 2: now it's doing this. And finally the guy was like,
- 7:27Speaker 2: I'm gonna be real honest with you. Okay, he goes,
- 7:31Speaker 2: it's just your car. Neate's a minute to power up.
- 7:33Speaker 2: It'll all resolve itself. He goes, If you bring your
- 7:35Speaker 2: car in right now to test it, we'll charge you
- 7:37Speaker 2: one hundred and sixty seven dollars, drive it for a
- 7:40Speaker 2: few more days, and then bring it back and then
- 7:43Speaker 2: call me if it's still doing it. It stopped doing it,
- 7:45Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 7:46Speaker 3: An't you telling me it was just an easy fix?
- 7:48Speaker 5: It was.
- 7:49Speaker 2: There was nothing to do, so my battery died. But
- 7:51Speaker 2: it was really inconvenient because I can't come to work,
- 7:53Speaker 2: and you were frustrated that day, The boss was frustrated,
- 7:56Speaker 2: everybody was frustrated. So my question is, yeah, most inconvenient time.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Your car is broken down on the way to college.
- 8:04Speaker 4: When I was in college, I was on the way
- 8:06Speaker 4: to my morning class and I was doing a presentation
- 8:09Speaker 4: and I go, oh, they're gonna think I'm lying. They're
- 8:12Speaker 4: gonna think I am making this up.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Do you take pictures?
- 8:15Speaker 3: I did.
- 8:15Speaker 4: I sent a video showing that I was on the
- 8:18Speaker 4: side of the highway going I literally can't move and
- 8:22Speaker 4: I turn over the ignition. I sent it to my
- 8:24Speaker 4: teacher through Facebook and he goes, Okay, I'm gonna trust
- 8:28Speaker 4: you this time.
- 8:28Speaker 3: But just no, I'll do it again. I'll do this again.
- 8:31Speaker 3: I said, yeah, okay, I'll be in charge of that.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Call the show. Eight three three five A one BAMA
- 8:37Speaker 2: is the number. What's the worst time your car has

- 9:46Speaker 2: Mbama is the number of rob Good morning. When was
- 9:48Speaker 2: the worst time ever that your car broke down?
- 9:52Speaker 7: Like right now?
- 9:53Speaker 8: Like I was on my way to work yesterday, I
- 9:55Speaker 8: got a wheelbaran like going wahahah.
- 9:57Speaker 7: And I don't know where I me can't shop is here?
- 10:00Speaker 7: I've only been dinner about a month and a half,
- 10:02Speaker 7: two months.
- 10:02Speaker 3: But what'd you do?
- 10:03Speaker 8: I called the guy and he's well, I googled okay
- 10:08Speaker 8: and it brought up some local places and I got
- 10:11Speaker 8: a hold of this guy. I don't speak Spanish real well,
- 10:14Speaker 8: but I know enough to get me in trouble. And
- 10:16Speaker 8: I was like, mucho problem.
- 10:21Speaker 7: Because he didn't speak English. And then he's like, like
- 10:23Speaker 7: halfway through me struggling with my Spanish, He's like, oh, yeah,
- 10:27Speaker 7: we got you do He's like, yeah, just be here
- 10:33Speaker 7: at eight am. I was like, what the slip?

- 10:39Speaker 7: Yeah. I've got like a convoy of friends behind me,
- 10:42Speaker 7: some work because they knew my baron was going out.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Yeah, and really good guys.
- 10:48Speaker 7: Yeah. I mean I work hard for these guys. You know,
- 10:51Speaker 7: my foreman's behind me, and then two other guys we
- 10:53Speaker 7: work with, Like I've learnt real quick that you work
- 10:56Speaker 7: hard for them and they'll they'll show you respect. And
- 10:58Speaker 7: I appreciate you absolutely.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I love that. Well, thank you for sharing.
- 11:02Speaker 7: Yes, ma'am, I hope you all haven't wonderful do you?
- 11:04Speaker 2: A man built a device that lets you scroll TikTok
- 11:08Speaker 2: while you're driving by honking your horn.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Why, it's gonna be a lot of honking.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I think this is cool because I have a really
- 11:16Speaker 2: bad habit of having TikTok up while I'm driving and
- 11:19Speaker 2: I know I'm not supposed to. This guy really did
- 11:21Speaker 2: build it and basically an iPad attached to the back
- 11:24Speaker 2: of your car so drivers can watch it while you're
- 11:26Speaker 2: stuck in traffic. But this is a bad idea. Somebody's
- 11:28Speaker 2: going to crash into him.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Either that or they're going to be so tuned they
- 11:31Speaker 3: won't drive.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know you with the element.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Here's what will be opening closed in Birmingham on Martin
- 11:40Speaker 2: Luther king Day, which is Monday, which is a federal holiday. Yes,
- 11:44Speaker 2: make sure it works see if you have to work
- 11:46Speaker 2: or not. But it is a federal holiday, so schools,
- 11:49Speaker 2: the post office, most major banks will be closed. What
- 11:53Speaker 2: will be open will be grocery stores, drug stores, package
- 11:57Speaker 2: delivery like FedEx and Ups, restaurants, retail and the Birmingham Zoo. Okay,
- 12:02Speaker 2: so there you go. Your airplane water is full of bacteria.
- 12:07Speaker 3: My airplane water if you fly.
- 12:10Speaker 2: If you fly, a study has now come out where
- 12:14Speaker 2: they tested the water in the airplane and it tested
- 12:18Speaker 2: a lot of it dirty with potential disease causing organisms
- 12:21Speaker 2: and some samples even had ecoli in it. That's from
- 12:24Speaker 2: when you go to the bathroom. They say avoid tea
- 12:27Speaker 2: and coffee when you are flying. They even grade the
- 12:31Speaker 2: different airlines who has the dirtiest and the cleanest water.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Just get bottled water, don't get water from the airplane,
- 12:36Speaker 2: don't get coffee, don't get to Okay, okay, and Crumble
- 12:40Speaker 2: Cookie has confirmed they are testing out a donut line.
- 12:44Speaker 2: This came after rumors online started going wild earlier in
- 12:47Speaker 2: the week. Crumble still says though it's in early stages
- 12:51Speaker 2: and there are no immediate plans to latch. They're just
- 12:53Speaker 2: trying out the doughnuts right now to see if they
- 12:55Speaker 2: like them.
- 12:56Speaker 3: So is it gonna be doey donuts?
- 12:57Speaker 2: I don't know, we'll see. That's there things you need
- 12:59Speaker 2: to know. You are at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 13:03Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on to man.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Does your girlfriend have a celebrity crush?
- 13:10Speaker 3: Well, I don't think so. You never asked if I had.
- 13:15Speaker 3: If I had to guess, and probably Nicholas Cage. Oh really,
- 13:18Speaker 3: that'd be my guest.
- 13:20Speaker 2: He could be her grandpa. Eight three three five Obama
- 13:23Speaker 2: is the number. By the way, I'm Alabama with producer Blake.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Thanks for listening to the show. Who is your hall

- 13:48Speaker 2: I'll tell you mine and Steak Daddy, my boyfriend heard
- 13:52Speaker 2: this the other day because remember last week when Kelly
- 13:54Speaker 2: called the show looking for love and we asked her
- 13:57Speaker 2: who her celebrity crush was, and I was like, girl,
- 13:59Speaker 2: because if Jason Momoa walked in the room, I'd be like, ooh,
- 14:04Speaker 2: girl Aquaman and I had that. I was listening to
- 14:09Speaker 2: the audio getting it ready for the show at home,
- 14:11Speaker 2: and Steak Daddy walked by when that part came on,
- 14:14Speaker 2: and he stopped and he goes, really, well, yeah, I
- 14:18Speaker 2: like Jason Momoa.
- 14:20Speaker 3: That is it can't help it. I love him.
- 14:23Speaker 5: He's a buff Jesus.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Well, I wouldn't say that, but also, what is the
- 14:28Speaker 4: hype behind Jason Momoa.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I'm the man Game of Thrones called Drougo all the
- 14:35Speaker 2: tattoo anyway.
