Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: I almost feel as though the broadcast today should come with some kind of warning label.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_01]: You say, why brother Micah?
- 0:08[SPEAKER_01]: Well because our founder, Dr. Paul Levine, though he has been in heaven since 1996, he's been preaching a powerful thought-provoking soul stirring message throughout this week on the Bible Trek echoes radio broadcast and he continues today.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: book and I tell you, he menses no words.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_01]: He gets blunt, he gets in our faces.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna ask you, would you have opened ears and soft hearts to what the man of God for this hour has for us?
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's preaching a message titled The Demand of Discipleship.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: Now that word demand, it has some intensity about it.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: It has some connotations of commandment behind it.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, friend, the Bible does display some demands of discipleship and I hope you'll listen in today as Dr. Paul preaches about those things before we go any further though.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you about a gospel track.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: We just got re-stocked with these.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's called, do you know for sure?
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: And we have thousands of them in stock when people ask me, what's the best gospel track for people that are in a cult?
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: or people that are in a way of thinking and they just can't seem to break out of it, something that's completely anti-bibble, something that has no bearing on things of God, how do I help them with that?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, this gospel track may be one of the best.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's called do you know for sure and it asks some great questions.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: What is the purpose for which God created us?
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: What is sin?
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: It also talks about how Jesus Christ is the creator of all things and it backs all it up with Bible.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'd like to ask you.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: Would you go to our website bibletracksink.org and order some of these today?
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: Now listen in as Dr. Paul Preaches.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: Very bluntly, but so very truthfully.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_01]: Will you listen?
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: In America.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have a lot of people being killed because of their Christians, but they are being killed all over the world because of their Christians.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: I've read some terrible things that have happened to the Christians just because of their Christians.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: I have read where they take a Christian, I mean an hour-day, and put him in a box with his head sticking out, a wooden box, neatly inside of the box with his head sticking out, and inside the box, live, hungry, rats.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: I read one place, I take a Christian, I spread him out on the ground and force water into him, and then the guy would get up with big army boots on from a high elevation and jump down in land on that Christian stomach and burst him right open.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you can't look for Jesus Christ in America, you are a first class A number one
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: about anybody or duty for living for a place in America is make fun of you.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's about all they'll do.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: One, some pressures of this world, if you're a Christian, you know.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: The history of the Christian church is a long crimson stream of human blood.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Read facts as Book of Markers and read about how they burned them at the stake and how they'd sent them to a metal stake and know they'd hang and then they'd have brushed that they'd set fire to and sometimes they wouldn't burn very much and just burn the legs off.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: Just burn the flesh off and know they'd be hanging.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes when they fire, would be blown by the flames, they'd have blown the flames away from the person.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: And they try and they stretch the length of those chains and try to get themselves into the fire.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: So the fire would eat away at the vital organs in their body to bring merciful death.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Young people, they suffer that rather than to say I renounce Jesus Christ.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: The words, what a freedom from that state.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: I will announce Jesus Christ.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's all I'd have to say.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's what their enemies wanted them to say.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: They'd rather they would have renounced Christ than they'd burned at the state.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: There was one girl I remember reading about.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: Her name was Gene Ascue.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: She was a little skinny, fray, a little thing only 19 years of age.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: And so they're going to bring her out, and they said, boy, when she sees the fact gets in, when she sees the fire, and when she sees the change, and when she sees that iron steak, and when she finds out that they are going to burn her alive, she'll recant.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: So they brought her out, and they showed her what they're about to do to her.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: All you have to do is we're now in Jesus Christ, we're such a free.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: What's your answer?
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know what she said?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: He was their answer.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: My only regret is that I don't have 10,000 lives to give for him who gave his life for me.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: There's disciples here for you, there's courage, there's strength, and she had it.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's a couple of my name at John and Betty Stan.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: If you know how they were martyred for Christ's sake over in China, listen.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: John and Betty Stan had a little baby.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't kill a baby, but the first of all, they took John out there and made him kneel and made his wife stand there and watch.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: She watched them while they chopped these head off.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: Her husband, she loved them dearly.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: She had to stand there and watch, so they chopped these head off.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then she had to submit to the same thing and by her neck, then they chopped her head off.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: The Lord says, I'm going out to die.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: Don't you want you to follow me?
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: What do you mean?
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: Tell on supper?
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: Follow and be misunderstood.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: Follow and be right about yes.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Follow and be criticized.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Follow and be persecuted.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: Follow and die.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: Literally so.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: by the minions, down for the last 2,000 years.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: We've got easy here in America, but there is a death that you and I have to die for everyone mountain thing for God.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: We have to die to ourselves.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's hard to die.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: What does that mean to die to ourselves?
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: We need to die to, well, we won't.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: See?
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, listen, young folks, if you ever expect God to use you like you're using Ron Confort or Bill of Sird, or Jim Statenborough, or Derek Nichols, or Billy Rensen, or Doral Robertson, or in these men, if you ever expect God to raise hand on you and bless you, you won't have to die like they died.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: They died one day, see?
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't mean it died.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: Literally, they died in themselves.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: They died of their own ambitions.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: They died of their own affections.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: They died of their own plans.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: They died of their own future.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: And they said, Lord, not my will, but mine be done.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the Lord Jesus did in the Garden of Guest Semini.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: Not my will, but mine be done.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: It was all settled.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: You see, if you got it once, settled once, it settled for all.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: John chapter 12, verse 24,
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: The Lord Jesus said, if you have a colonel of wheat, maybe you understand corn better than we'll use corn.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: If you had a colonel of corn and you took it to your room young people and put it on your desk, you could leave it there a hundred years and it wouldn't nothing would ever happen.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing would happen, right there on your desk, leave it there.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: The next 50, 60, 75 years, maybe 100 years.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: No, they weren't having to it.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: Cause that didn't die.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's all the Lord Jesus said, except a corner of wheat or a corner of corn and a red except it die in our bides alone.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: So you put this corner of corn on your desk and you come back 50 years later, it's all it's still nearby itself.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's alone, it's alone, it's alone, there's no more corn there, there's no fruit there.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: And the Lord says,
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: Except a corner of wheat be put in the ground and die it abides alone, but if it's planted in the ground and dies Then you have a harvest.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: No, what's he saying?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's saying that's the way it is with your life You have to come to the place young man young lady where you're quitting it about I What I want or I want to go when I want to do it to home me me me and I I it we're getting a press where we say and it's not I Lord.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's you
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: And what do you want?
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll be willing to lay my life and my ambitions and my ideas and my thoughts and my plans and everything that you're feet and I'll do this every day.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like Paul said, I die daily.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Every day I'll do this.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: Every day I'll die on myself.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: If you die that way, you won't abide by yourself.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: Gotta give you fruit.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: Not just a fruit.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: There was a day when Dr. Bill and Dr. Cassie
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: was the day when they died.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: If they hadn't died, they'd have been alone.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: But they did die, so all you were here.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: They're not alone.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: Bill's body is sleeping up there.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: In that Muslim, he's in glory, but he's not alone.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: There's lots of people in glory who are there because he died one day.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Because He said, I'll die to the ranch life.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: I love this ranch life.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'd rather stay on the ranch to rest on my days.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: But Lord, if you want me to leave the ranch, I'll die to that and I'll go away to Bible cards.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: So He died.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: Aren't you glad he died?
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, thank God, they died.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: Thank God, the doctor built died.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: Thank God, that Mrs. Rice died.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: And because they died, they have their not alone.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: You're here.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: There will be more kids than this here, next week.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: There was another big bunch week before last.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then got two more weeks after that, after next week.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: And all of this country, and all of the little people who are saved, people who are serving God, pastors, pasturing churches, and those people are getting more people to save, and people get saved all over the world today in the camps and in the death camps.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: You see, Dr. Bill and Cassie are not abiding all you know, like they died one day.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: Will you do that?
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: Will you come to the place where you be willing to die?
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: He said, I'm going out to be suffered, to be suffer, and to be rejected, those who are to receive me, and I'm going out to be slain, I'm going out to die.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: Then he says, I want you to follow me.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, come on, follow me now.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, young folk, how many of it tonight?
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: Would walk down in the soil and say, Lord, I'll be willing to die.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: Die to myself.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: Die to what I had planned for myself.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: No doubt, everything.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's why Dr. Billy is here singing because one day he died.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: He and Ruby died.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: And all these men on the platform, they're right.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: They don't know dead folks.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: You're certain.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: And because all dead folks, they're not about being alone.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're not alone.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: Wouldn't it be awful to come to heaven someday and not one single there, one single person there, because of you.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: You see, okay, so the Lord says, no, I want you to follow me and die.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: There was a great man who's mind me if God's name is George Mueller and somebody said to him one day, what's the secret of God using you like it in?
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: He says, because one day, George Mueller died, that's the reason.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Young man was going to a very dangerous mission field and somebody said, hey, that's a dangerous place for you to go, don't you know you might get killed out there?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: And he says, I died when I told him I'd go, I'm already dead, don't worry about getting killed, I'm already dead.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: Say, yes, sir.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: And another one was to be summoned for martyrdom, and he said, he said, they forget I'm already dead.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's already settled.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's not high, but it's Christ.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Galatians chapter 2 and verse 20, I am crucified with Christ.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: Nevertheless, I live, yet not I, but Christ live within me.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: Friend, tomorrow Dr. Paul is going to continue and finish this message with a question.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: Are you willing to die?
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: Let's answer that question together as we listen in.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for being a part of the broadcast today.
