Ohio’s Summer Crisis Program is back to help low-income families beat the heat — from July 1 to September 30, you could get electric bill help, a new AC, or repairs on your old unit. Last year, over 55,000 households received more than $12 million in aid. Priority goes to those already disconnected, at risk of being shut off, or with medical needs like asthma or elderly residents. Qualify if your household income is at or below 175% of the federal poverty line — about $57,750 for a family of four.
