Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Fauci. I inherited Fauci. He was here from the nineteen eighty,
- 0:04Speaker 1: so I had him for a period of time, and
- 0:06Speaker 1: I disagreed with him a lot. I would have kind
- 0:09Speaker 1: of closed down the whole country if I listened to him.
- 0:11Speaker 1: I went the federalist way, which is basically to let
- 0:14Speaker 1: the governors decide. And generally speaking, the Republican governors did
- 0:18Speaker 1: very well. The Democrat governors did not very well. But
- 0:22Speaker 1: Fauci wanted to have nobody wearing masks, if you remember,
- 0:25Speaker 1: and then everybody had to wear five masks, as many
- 0:28Speaker 1: masks as you could get, and it's made a lot
- 0:30Speaker 1: of mistakes.
- 0:31Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Good Thursday morning.
- 0:35Speaker 4: It's so nice to have you on the forty seven
- 0:37Speaker 4: Morning Update, and we've got two big stories for you.
- 0:39Speaker 3: First up, Anthony Fauci.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Yeah, he showed up in Congress yesterday and let's just
- 0:45Speaker 4: say it didn't go very well.
- 0:47Speaker 3: We break down exactly what he had to say.
- 0:50Speaker 4: And the second part of the story is the response Americans.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Furious members of Congress, lived and lawyers for Anthony Fauci.
- 1:00Speaker 3: It's literally being kicked out of the room. So what
- 1:03Speaker 3: happens next we break it all down for you.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Now, before we get to that, I want to ask
- 1:07Speaker 4: you to join me in praying for the people that
- 1:10Speaker 4: are in need right now in Israel. There are so
- 1:14Speaker 4: many needs in Israel and they are still dealing with
- 1:16Speaker 4: the attacks from terras And that is where I want
- 1:20Speaker 4: you to join me and go right now to find
- 1:22Speaker 4: out who you can help pray for by going to
- 1:25Speaker 4: PRAYIFCJ dot org. As Christians were called to stand with
- 1:30Speaker 4: God's people and pray for those defending Israel and protecting
- 1:33Speaker 4: the freedoms we hold, dear, and you have an important
- 1:37Speaker 4: role that you can play right now, and that is
- 1:40Speaker 4: understanding that even as the headlines move on the heartache
- 1:43Speaker 4: and the terror, they do not I Ran and It's
- 1:46Speaker 4: Terrist proxies are continuing to target the people in Israel.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Hezbala is continuing its attacks in the North, forcing families
- 1:53Speaker 4: to live under constant threat. But Israel is not only
- 1:56Speaker 4: defending her people, she is standing on the front lines
- 1:58Speaker 4: against terror that threaten us all.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And that is why the.
- 2:02Speaker 4: International Fellowship of Christen and jewsus standing firm and standing
- 2:06Speaker 4: with the people every day they're on the ground providing
- 2:10Speaker 4: life saving aid near Israel's border with Lebanon. A hes
- 2:13Speaker 4: blood drone recently struck the home of Yolina. She was
- 2:16Speaker 4: widowed earlier this year and living alone. Not only was
- 2:19Speaker 4: she trapped inside by the blasts, but she also said
- 2:22Speaker 4: this after she was rescued, it's hard these days. I
- 2:26Speaker 4: don't want to leave and why should she have to
- 2:29Speaker 4: leave her home? And that is why I'm asking you
- 2:32Speaker 4: to pray for peace and for Jerusalem and for the
- 2:35Speaker 4: soldiers and the families and the civilians that are carrying
- 2:38Speaker 4: this burden. Right now, go to PREYIFCJ dot org to
- 2:43Speaker 4: get involved. That's PREYIFCJ dot org. It's the forty seven
- 2:48Speaker 4: Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Well, if you missed it, it was fireworks on Capitol
- 2:55Speaker 4: Hill and it had nothing to do with the two
- 2:56Speaker 4: hundred and fiftieth anniversary celebrating the United States of America.
- 3:01Speaker 4: This time, it was one of the most controversial public
- 3:05Speaker 4: officials and I say that in air quotes of this
- 3:09Speaker 4: country's history in my lifetime. The man in charge of
- 3:13Speaker 4: the COVID air doctor Anthony Fauci, was forced to return
- 3:17Speaker 4: and faced lawmakers for the countless lies he's now being
- 3:21Speaker 4: accused of telling, and within moments the hearing turned into
- 3:26Speaker 4: political theater unlike anything we've actually seen in Washington in years.
- 3:30Speaker 3: And that's saying something.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Anthony Fauci read a simple opening statement not just for
- 3:37Speaker 4: this country but also for the world to see and
- 3:40Speaker 4: think about how different this statement is than the man
- 3:44Speaker 4: that was obsessed with his image, obsessed with being famous,
- 3:48Speaker 4: obsessed with telling you what you could and couldn't do
- 3:51Speaker 4: for years during COVID, A man that obsessed with locking
- 3:55Speaker 4: down the country. A man that said, if you got
- 3:58Speaker 4: the vaccine, had nothing to worry about. A man that
- 4:02Speaker 4: said we were going to quarantine to stop the spread
- 4:04Speaker 4: in two weeks. A man that said you must wear
- 4:07Speaker 4: a mask, A man that said you couldn't go to
- 4:10Speaker 4: the hospitals, say goodbody or loved ones.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Who were dying.
- 4:13Speaker 4: A man that said you shouldn't gather for Christmas or Thanksgiving.
- 4:17Speaker 4: A man that said you shouldn't get married and have
- 4:20Speaker 4: an actual wedding during COVID because it was too dangerous.
- 4:24Speaker 3: So a man that had.
- 4:25Speaker 4: No problem telling you what to do with your life,
- 4:29Speaker 4: shutting down our schools, shutting down countless small businesses ended
- 4:33Speaker 4: up going bankrupt, shutting down an entire economy where inflation
- 4:37Speaker 4: went through the roof. Now he didn't have a lot
- 4:41Speaker 4: to say anymore, isn't that interesting?
- 4:45Speaker 5: Although it pains me to do so because of the
- 4:48Speaker 5: respect I have for the legislative branch of government and
- 4:54Speaker 5: my decades long record of cooperating with Congress. Under the
- 4:59Speaker 5: advice of my attorneys, I will invoke my right under
- 5:04Speaker 5: the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution to refrain from answering
- 5:08Speaker 5: your questions. Thank you.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Wow, that is doctor Anthony Fauci invoking his Fifth Amendment
- 5:16Speaker 4: right against self incrimination. The same guy, by the way,
- 5:19Speaker 4: who also got a presidential pardon from Joe Biden declining
- 5:24Speaker 4: to answer any questions from sinners investigating the government's pandemic response. Now,
- 5:30Speaker 4: this is the highest paid member of the United States government.
- 5:34Speaker 4: We're trying to make sure we never let it happen again.
- 5:38Speaker 4: And the guy who has quote all the answers and
- 5:40Speaker 4: had no problem telling you what you could and couldn't
- 5:42Speaker 4: do with your life, will not answer basic questions.
- 5:46Speaker 3: There also was another extraordinary moment.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Fauci's attorney repeatedly attempted to speak during the proceedings, despite
- 5:55Speaker 4: the committee's chairman's instructions not to. Chairman ran Paul ultimately
- 6:00Speaker 4: he ordered Capitol police to remove the attorney from the
- 6:03Speaker 4: hearing room after concluding he was disrupting that hearing.
- 6:09Speaker 6: Mind you, sir, that's where you were told to sit
- 6:11Speaker 6: and you're not and now you're disrupting the proceedings. And
- 6:15Speaker 6: so look, this is the way Anthony Fauchi wants to
- 6:17Speaker 6: be remembered for a lawyer, not listening to the rules.
- 6:20Speaker 6: That's the way you want to be remembered. And that's
- 6:22Speaker 6: what you're going to do. You are not recognized, sir,
- 6:25Speaker 6: of security police.
- 6:26Speaker 7: Remove in from the room.
- 6:40Speaker 6: Let the records state that doctor Fauschi will still have
- 6:43Speaker 6: the advice of the other half a dozen attorneys that
- 6:45Speaker 6: he brought along today, Senator Peters.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Now, as you could hear Senator ram Paul state, he
- 6:51Speaker 4: still had the counsel literally of like dozens of people
- 6:56Speaker 4: behind him who were attorneys that he brought with him
- 6:59Speaker 4: to the hearing. Now, whether you believe Fauci was a
- 7:02Speaker 4: dedicated public service and he was quote unfairly targeted as
- 7:06Speaker 4: liberals are saying, this is an individual that now refuses
- 7:10Speaker 4: to answer no questions out of hearing that it was
- 7:14Speaker 4: all about what he did after he took away so
- 7:18Speaker 4: many rights of Americans. He completely changed children's lives forever
- 7:24Speaker 4: with school that they missed because they shut down schools.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Doctor Anthony Fauci was the individual behind that, and we
- 7:32Speaker 4: also now know he lied about it, claiming that that
- 7:35Speaker 4: is something he never actually did.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Now.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Donald Trump got in on the action very quickly, stating
- 7:41Speaker 4: this for the record at the White House.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Watch the whole thing today. But more importantly, I was
- 7:46Speaker 1: a part of the whole Fauci. I inherited Fauci. He
- 7:50Speaker 1: was here from the nineteen eighties, so I had him
- 7:52Speaker 1: for a period of time, and I disagreed with him
- 7:55Speaker 1: on a lot. I would have kind of closed down
- 7:56Speaker 1: the whole country if I listened to him. I went
- 7:59Speaker 1: to the federal way, which is basically, let the governors decide,
- 8:02Speaker 1: and generally speaking, the Republican governors did very well. The
- 8:06Speaker 1: Democrat governors did not very well. But FOUCHI wanted to
- 8:10Speaker 1: have nobody wearing masks, if you remember, and then everybody
- 8:13Speaker 1: had to wear five masks, as many masks as you
- 8:15Speaker 1: could get, I mean, made a lot of mistakes, and
- 8:19Speaker 1: he wasn't a big factor for me. He was a
- 8:21Speaker 1: very big factor for Biden. And if you remember, even
- 8:24Speaker 1: though we were sort of prime time in terms of
- 8:28Speaker 1: that whole disaster of COVID, far people died fewer in
- 8:35Speaker 1: the Trump administration than in the Biden administration. We ran
- 8:40Speaker 1: We ran it well. Operation Warp Speed was talked about
- 8:43Speaker 1: as being one of the great success stories anywhere in
- 8:46Speaker 1: the world. Actually, and we did a good job, but
- 8:49Speaker 1: many more people died under Biden than died in the
- 8:51Speaker 1: Trump administration from COVID. COVID was a disaster, but Fauci
- 8:56Speaker 1: did not help.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Now, not only is Donald Trump absolutely right, but it
- 9:00Speaker 4: is important that we remind Americans where we came from
- 9:04Speaker 4: and where all this started and why doctor Faucia is
- 9:07Speaker 4: so important. I also want to be clear for millions
- 9:11Speaker 4: of Americans watching this, Yeah, it's okay to be angry.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Does Anthony Fauci have the conscial right to plead the
- 9:18Speaker 4: fifth He absolutely does, And that is not what I'm
- 9:21Speaker 4: angry about. The question that I'm angry about is this.
- 9:25Speaker 4: How is it that the most influential public health official
- 9:29Speaker 4: in my lifetime a man that chose to shut down.
- 9:32Speaker 4: The United States of America chose not to publicly defend
- 9:37Speaker 4: those decisions that affected virtually every family in the United
- 9:42Speaker 4: States of America for years. I go back to remind
- 9:46Speaker 4: you Americans were told to quote trust the experts. We
- 9:50Speaker 4: were told to trust the scientists. We were told to
- 9:53Speaker 4: trust the science. We were told that it was your duty,
- 9:58Speaker 4: your obligation as a patriotic American to have your business closed,
- 10:04Speaker 4: for your schools to shut down. Remember when churches went empty.
- 10:08Speaker 4: How many Americans did not find church a safe place.
- 10:14Speaker 4: How many of them will never go back to church
- 10:16Speaker 4: because of what happened. Families literally missed the funerals of
- 10:20Speaker 4: their own loved ones. Children lost countless years of important education,
- 10:28Speaker 4: and it's affecting their education right now. When you lose
- 10:32Speaker 4: those building box of two years of school, we now
- 10:35Speaker 4: know you never get it back. We also know that
- 10:38Speaker 4: workers lost their entire careers, small businesses. They disappeared forever
- 10:44Speaker 4: and never came back. And don't forget about the men
- 10:47Speaker 4: and women in our military that served their country but
- 10:50Speaker 4: were fired under the Biden regime for refusing to get
- 10:53Speaker 4: the vaccine. Now you add that on top of the
- 10:56Speaker 4: sacrifice birthdays, the weddings, the graduations, right the holiday gatherings.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Because government leaders insisted that these were quote extraordinary measures
- 11:07Speaker 4: that were more than necessary. They were mandated, and Anthony
- 11:12Speaker 4: Fauci was the one who delivered those messages each and
- 11:17Speaker 4: every day. That is why so many Americans are angry
- 11:21Speaker 4: and so frustrated by this.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Now story number two.
- 11:24Speaker 4: But there's also another part of this. It is the
- 11:27Speaker 4: fact that Fauci invoked his constitutional right in the most
- 11:31Speaker 4: ridiculous way. Why did he do it because he doesn't
- 11:34Speaker 4: want to go to jail? How simple were the questions? Well,
- 11:39Speaker 4: Senator Josh Hawley, just showing the hypocrisy of Anthony Fauci,
- 11:43Speaker 4: started asking questions like this, what.
- 11:47Speaker 7: Day of the week is it today?
- 11:49Speaker 5: On the divisive Council, I respectfully the client to answer
- 11:53Speaker 5: based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitutional.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Color tie you're wearing on the.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Divisive Council, I respectfully declined to answer, based upon my
- 12:02Speaker 5: rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
- 12:05Speaker 3: What colors the carpet in front of you?
- 12:07Speaker 1: On the adviceive Council?
- 12:08Speaker 5: I respectfully declined to answer based upon my rights under
- 12:12Speaker 5: the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
- 12:15Speaker 4: This is the man that told you how to live
- 12:17Speaker 4: your life for two years. He won't answer the question
- 12:21Speaker 4: what color is the carpet, He won't answer the question
- 12:24Speaker 4: what color tie he was wearing. He won't answer the
- 12:27Speaker 4: question what day of the week is it. This is
- 12:31Speaker 4: who Anthony Fauci is now because the deep state and
- 12:35Speaker 4: the Democratic Party is no longer there to protect him.
- 12:39Speaker 4: There was also another very interesting moment, I want to
- 12:42Speaker 4: play for you as well, senter moreno to. Anthony Fauci
- 12:46Speaker 4: took it up a notch as he explained why so
- 12:49Speaker 4: many Americans are so angry.
- 12:51Speaker 8: Those policies were put in place because you had moronic
- 12:57Speaker 8: politicians listen to the words of a megalomaniac who was
- 13:03Speaker 8: more interested in having met a Kardashian than the suffering
- 13:08Speaker 8: of the American people. And that is you your advice
- 13:14Speaker 8: to communities like that, to idiotic politicians who enforce those rules.
- 13:20Speaker 8: Arrested that mom for watching a football game with her
- 13:25Speaker 8: own family outside. When that story broke, I said to myself,
- 13:31Speaker 8: I cannot stand idly on the side and watch this happen.
- 13:35Speaker 8: It was about six years ago today that I decided
- 13:38Speaker 8: I'm going to give up my businesses, sell them all,
- 13:41Speaker 8: run for office, run for the United States Senate. Here
- 13:45Speaker 8: I am sitting in front of you six years later saying,
- 13:47Speaker 8: who the fuck do you think you were for doing that?
- 13:50Speaker 8: It is a total disgrace what you did to this country.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Now you may have noticed there that there was some
- 13:56Speaker 4: very blunt language used by that senator. Why well, it's
- 14:00Speaker 4: because the newly released diary of Anthony Fauci that has
- 14:03Speaker 4: become a major source of this controversy, because it offered
- 14:07Speaker 4: an inside look at Fauci's private observations during one of
- 14:11Speaker 4: the most consequential periods in modern American history. Yes, he
- 14:16Speaker 4: cared more about me and the Kardashians and he did
- 14:18Speaker 4: about the people that were dying. And Republican lawmakers are
- 14:21Speaker 4: saying this clearly. The diary raises additional questions about his
- 14:26Speaker 4: decision making in his public messaging, while Fauci and his supporters,
- 14:30Speaker 4: of course, are saying, no, no, no, he was amazing. Now,
- 14:33Speaker 4: if you think the media is gonna flinch, you're wrong.
- 14:37Speaker 4: TMZ's Harvey Levin called the attacks on doctor Anthony Fauci
- 14:42Speaker 4: one of the most heartbreaking.
- 14:44Speaker 3: This is not a joke.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Things He's witnessing government, comparing the push to jail him
- 14:49Speaker 4: to the fear and prosecution in the McCarthy error. Now,
- 14:54Speaker 4: to be clear, Harvey didn't give a rats for in
- 14:57Speaker 4: if you missed your kid's wedding, or you didn't get
- 15:01Speaker 4: to go to the hospital and witnesses your grandchild being born.
- 15:05Speaker 4: He doesn't care if your family members couldn't gather for
- 15:08Speaker 4: your funeral, or couldn't hold your hand while you were
- 15:11Speaker 4: in hospice care or in the hospital terminally ill with cancer. No,
- 15:16Speaker 4: he now says you should feel sorry for Anthony Fauci.
- 15:20Speaker 9: I have not used TMZ's YouTube channel to vent personal
- 15:26Speaker 9: feelings about issues, but I'm going to do that today.
- 15:32Speaker 9: Watching Anthony Fauci before a congressional hearing taking the Fifth
- 15:40Speaker 9: Amendment is just one of the most heartbreaking things I
- 15:44Speaker 9: have seen in government in my lifetime, and this is
- 15:51Speaker 9: something we need to reckon with that. I'm going to
- 15:54Speaker 9: say up front. I have problems the way the CDC
- 15:58Speaker 9: handled COVID. Think that they did damage to children to adults,
- 16:07Speaker 9: and I don't think they did it maliciously. I think
- 16:10Speaker 9: they did it because they were using their judgment and
- 16:16Speaker 9: were overprotective. And I think at times overstated things they
- 16:22Speaker 9: said they knew but really didn't. And I have personal
- 16:27Speaker 9: problems with the way that COVID was handled. That said,
- 16:32Speaker 9: Anthony Fauci, over a period of decades, has been an
- 16:39Speaker 9: amazing public servant. In the eighties, I had many friends
- 16:46Speaker 9: who died of AIDS, a horrible, painful death. And I
- 16:52Speaker 9: had friends who lived because of Anthony Fauci, because he
- 16:58Speaker 9: was willing to look at experimental drugs in a different
- 17:03Speaker 9: way than they had looked at them before, and that
- 17:08Speaker 9: really resulted in live saved. And he has done so
- 17:12Speaker 9: many other things in his career to thwart epidemics, to
- 17:20Speaker 9: save lives, not just in the United States but all
- 17:23Speaker 9: over the world. He has been a dedicated public servant
- 17:28Speaker 9: who could have made a lot more money outside of
- 17:31Speaker 9: government than inside, but he stayed. And now we are
- 17:36Speaker 9: at a point where members of Congress and yes, you,
- 17:41Speaker 9: Rand Paul, are on a witch hunt, and you're. The
- 17:47Speaker 9: best I can say for Rand Paul is that he's
- 17:50Speaker 9: being really honest. I mean, he has said now over
- 17:53Speaker 9: a period of years, he wants Anthony Fauci in a
- 17:56Speaker 9: jail cell. He has said it out loud. He wants
- 17:59Speaker 9: him in a jail cell. That's the point of this hearing.
- 18:03Speaker 9: That's why they're doing this. They want to take something
- 18:07Speaker 9: that Anthony Fauci says and then claim it amounts to perjury,
- 18:14Speaker 9: and they want to prosecute him. They want to convict him,
- 18:18Speaker 9: and they want to throw him in prison. That's the
- 18:21Speaker 9: point of this hearing. There is no other point of
- 18:25Speaker 9: this hearing.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Let me just stop there.
- 18:27Speaker 4: I wanted you to hear how far the media will
- 18:30Speaker 4: go to defend the indefensible. Let me just rebut that
- 18:35Speaker 4: real quick so we can go through what this hearing
- 18:38Speaker 4: was actually about. Okay, why America is frustrated, and I
- 18:44Speaker 4: will say this to Harvey Levin at TMZ. Americans remember
- 18:49Speaker 4: the shifting guidance that wasn't based in science and they
- 18:53Speaker 4: were lied to. We remember being told mass were necessary
- 18:57Speaker 4: before they were then told mandated to wear them. We
- 19:02Speaker 4: remember the six foot distancing became a nationwide standard with
- 19:07Speaker 4: no scientific data backing it. We remember changing guidance on
- 19:12Speaker 4: schools and then travel, and then the vaccines, and then
- 19:14Speaker 4: the boosters and then more boosters and the more vaccine boosters,
- 19:17Speaker 4: and we were told that if we got the vaccine,
- 19:20Speaker 4: we wouldn't get COVID. Those were lies. This has nothing
- 19:23Speaker 4: to do with putting Anthony Faucie in jail. This is
- 19:26Speaker 4: about a man who was drunk on power, who chose
- 19:32Speaker 4: to be a dictator and a tyrant, a take away Americans' rights,
- 19:36Speaker 4: take away our basic ability to gather to worship, to sing,
- 19:42Speaker 4: to go to church, to go to school, to open
- 19:45Speaker 4: our businesses. That is what today was about. It was
- 19:50Speaker 4: about the fact that we were lied to, and we
- 19:52Speaker 4: were told that it was all based on scientific evidence.
- 19:57Speaker 3: We know it to a lie.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Hell, we now even know, apparently that Anthony Fauci suffered
- 20:02Speaker 4: some side effects in the COVID nineteen vaccine.
- 20:05Speaker 3: And then what did he do.
- 20:07Speaker 4: He didn't disclose it and he hid it from the
- 20:10Speaker 4: American people. One of the striking moments came before the
- 20:14Speaker 4: subset of question even got underway, Fauci's attorney, of course,
- 20:18Speaker 4: trying to interject during that hearing, again trying to take
- 20:22Speaker 4: the shots to protect Anthony Fauci. This is about the
- 20:26Speaker 4: lack of transparency. This is why Americans still care. And
- 20:33Speaker 4: when you have the guy that's in charge of this
- 20:35Speaker 4: country yet again sitting there after telling all of us
- 20:39Speaker 4: how to live our lives for two years, invoking the
- 20:42Speaker 4: Fifth Amendment, not even telling us what color tie is
- 20:45Speaker 4: wearing or what color the carpet is, and knowing that
- 20:48Speaker 4: he was a liar to the American people with no accountability.
- 20:52Speaker 4: That is why Americans are angry right now.
