A behavioral health technician at Ethan Crossing Addiction Treatment Center, Jessica McBrayer, bravely recounts a terrifying attack by patient Nicholas Thompson, who allegedly assaulted her with brutal force after a smoke break dispute. Despite being knocked down near a shredder, McBrayer survived thanks to fellow patients who intervened — including 62-year-old Glenn Brown. Thompson fled into the woods, returned armed with rage, and began smashing windows before being subdued by staff and patients until police arrived.
