  This is what causes inflation. And he pulled up this chart or

  retweeted this chart. Guys, this is astounding.

  This chart shows the US national debt from 1900 through 2020.

  This does not even include the astronomical growth in national

  debt that we've had over the last four years.

  But just even looking at this visually, we can see that the

  United States is on a financial path to possible destruction.

  Something needs to be done and needs to be done quickly because

  Elon is correct. This is what causes inflation.

  And it's even more stunning when we go to the US national debt

  clock of in the upper left hand corner.

  As I'm recording this on September 23rd, 2024, we are
• 2:17
  approaching 35 trillion, 400 billion in U.S.

  National debt as you can see in the upper left corner.

  But remember, when we follow the arrow down to interest on debt,

  we're approaching 1 billion per year in interest expense alone.

  Remember my fellow Americans, you get nothing in return for
• 2:43
  this almost 1 trillion and growing dollars that's used just
• 2:49
  to pay the interest on the national debt that your
• 2:52
  politicians in Washington have wrapped up while making poor
• 2:57
  financial decisions. But think about this.

  That interest on the debt follow the next arrow that feeds into
• 3:04
  the US federal budget deficit, which is at almost $2 trillion.
• 3:10
  That makes that number bigger, which in turn then makes the new
• 3:15
  US national debt get bigger. And when the US national debt
• 3:18
  gets bigger, as it has been doing and is doing right here
• 3:22
  before our very eyes, that will make the interest expense get
• 3:26
  bigger, which will then again, make the federal budget deficit
• 3:30
  get bigger, which will then make the US national debt get even
• 3:34
  bigger, bigger. Do you recognize something here?

  It's called a doom loop, a death spiral.
• 3:41
  It means big trouble for those of us who are alive now, but in
• 3:46
  particular for our children and grandchildren.
• 3:50
  And Elon's right, that is the cause of inflation.

  But what really is inflation? I'll explain it to you.

  Right now, inflation is nothing more than the value of the US
• 4:03
  dollar going down down. the US dollar buys less goods and
• 4:08
  services because everything becomes more expensive.
• 4:11
  Now the Federal Reserve, they have a mandate to keep inflation
• 4:15
  at 2%. But even with their most recent
• 4:18
  half point rate cut, they basically telegraphed to us and
• 4:23
  the world that they're giving up on the fight on inflation.
• 4:27
  And why, you might ask? Because they need inflation.
• 4:31
  They need to inflate away the debt to make that cycle that I
• 4:36
  just showed you work to perpetuate the system.
• 4:40
  The only way it works is with a less valuable dollar.
• 4:43
  It's called inflating away the debt.
• 4:47
  Some people think that we're going to get to a point where
• 4:49
  the Fed will even need to monetize the debt, which means
• 4:53
  print money, right, make up new money just to buy the debt that
• 4:58
  the United States government needs to issue.

  Obviously that will dilute the value of the US dollar.

  It's like getting yourself 1/5 of whiskey coming home, pouring
• 5:09
  it into a great big pitcher, and then pouring another fifth of
• 5:13
  water in there and saying, hey, look, now I have twice as much
• 5:16
  whiskey. No, you don't.

  You've just diluted it by half. You've made it less powerful,
• 5:22
  which is what is happening right now.

  Like we just visually saw to the US dollar, the value of silver

  and gold will do very, very well.
