- Tita Lors: Welcome back everyone. This is Petty Unbothered. I Petty and Unbothered. I'm Tita Lors and here with me is Robin Ax Line. Hi. Robin Axline: Woo hoo! Hello. Tita Lors: So this is the episode where we provide our healed and unhinged suggestions to those who may be asking for a little third-party perspective. While one of us is actively a therapist, and one of us is soon to be a therapist, neither of us is your therapist. So take everything we say with a grain of salt. This is a podcast for entertainment purposes and entertain entertainment purposes alone. But let's get into it, Robin. Robin Axline: Yes. feeling pretty healed today. I feel like Tita Lors: Yeah. Robin Axline: I'm doing pretty well. I just had to kind of remember to breathe today earlier. And everything... Tita Lors: You had an eventful afternoon. Robin Axline: Yeah. And then things started to kind of start aligning. I was like, okay, I just have to like realize... I'm doing this one thing, I don't have to worry about all these other things right now. And then onto the next thing, I don't have to worry about it. So it was very helpful for me to like remember that. then so that's therefore I'm feeling pretty healed at the moment. What about you? Tita Lors: Yay. what am I? I'm somewhere between healed and unhinged. Yeah, we're coming up on the first day of school in a couple weeks. And that also comes with my big's birthday. And even though I was like, it's not her birthday year, it's just gonna be low-key. Just invite a few people. We're not gonna have a lot of people in the house. Pizza and Cake. That is so not what this is turning into. It's turning into a full-on rager. Robin Axline: geez. Tita Lors: gonna have a partay. My basically this vers like this Moments version of DDR it just arrived at my doorstep. Yeah dude it's getting we're gonna have a dance parte in our I'm gonna turn my living room into a kids club Robin Axline: That sounds like so much fun! Tita Lors: Right? I'm so excited. And then I decided like so you there's my dining area, you can see into the living room area. So I'm gonna like clear out the living room, and put the sofa in the dining room and put like our dining table up against the area where you would normally walk through, and that's gonna be the like a bar area or whatever. or the like DJ area. And then behind that is going to be the VIP section, which stands for very important parents. I'm so stoked. And it was supposed to be like a rainbow party because she's been asking, I want like a surprise rainbow party and I Babe, it's not a surprise if you tell me what you want. Or like you keep Robin Axline: Thank Tita Lors: tell like you keep telling me. So I'm like, okay, it's not gonna be surprise, but we are gonna do this rainbow party. And then while I'm making the invitation, she's watching me. It just one thing leads to another and it's Lisa Frank themed. I'm so excited for her. Robin Axline: Classic. Tita Lors: I know. So I'm like, yes. What do I need to buy? So I'm I know I have to keep it under a certain amount of monies, but I'm so stoked for this. Robin Axline: Yeah, that sounds really cool. I want to be invited. Tita Lors: Right? I'm pretty sure you are. You absolutely are. I'm pretty sure that all of her first grade friends are going to judge me. Or not her friends, but her parents are gonna be like, Hey, you're that mom and I'm like, What? Robin Axline: Yeah, like what? Tita Lors: So she knows how to party when she's six years old. And Robin Axline: That's awesome. Yeah, seriously, I mean, you should just be so lucky you're here. Tita Lors: You wanna come with us? Robin Axline: Yeah. And then you can like, I know you could, screen the Lisa Frank documentary in the VIPs. It's kind of a downer. I don't know if you've watched it, but it's like Amazon Prime, think something like that. You don't, yeah, you probably don't want to. Tita Lors: No, I'm not going to. no No. Robin Axline: It's interesting, but yeah. Tita Lors: Yeah, we will not be screening that. But we will have a whole bunch of Lisa Frank things. I'm gonna have like a whole section for the kids to get ready and I'm trying to think of like well how do how do boys get ready and what like things can I have. So it's 'cause I'm not a boy mom as much as I thought it'd be cool to have a boy, you know, it just didn't pan out for me. So now I'm like, I don't know, how what friends tell me what do boys do to get ready? I'm not about to have like a whole bunch of cologne get sprayed because I have I don't like smells, so I'm trying to think of things that are it doesn't necessarily have to be boy or girl, but like if you want to do this then then yeah. So we'll see. Probably have like an accessories table with like sunglasses and rings and bracelets or whatever and like I'm thinking about it, but I might just scratch this where like if the moms or the parents or whatever wanna do their kids' makeup, have that there too. And I got this like it's like a comb that colors the hair. Yeah, so it's gonna be a vibe. I told Ryan that he's gonna be a bouncer and then I'm gonna be like The DJ slash bottle service chick. So Robin Axline: Yeah, Bottle service check. Wow, okay. Tita Lors: Well, 'cause you know the people who like come up with a sign that's like, Happy birthday, yay and then you have like a cake. Yeah. We'll see if this gets actualized. I don't know. Robin Axline: Yes. Yes. That sounds like so much fun. my gosh. sounds great. Sounds like you, mean, cause you were telling me before it was literally just going to be like soda and pizza or something. Whatever. Tita Lors: It definitely that was the plan. But we're going to a baby rave for my little birthday. So I'm like, well if she gets a rave, then, you know, the other one can get a party. Robin Axline: Yeah, no, absolutely. My, one of my nephew's favorite color is rainbow. And so, he would absolutely adore that party. Tita Lors: Sounds like my big. Robin Axline: He loves rainbow and he loves unicorns, everything. So, he would probably love that party. Yeah. He's come from California. Tita Lors: these should come. He's totally invited. Teleport on over, it's fine. Robin Axline: Probably. Yeah, that's not, I, straight to mind, I was like, man, he would just go crazy. Tita Lors: I know. Yeah, so I'm so excited for these kids. But I'm also excited for the parents to just like sit on a couch and like chill for a moment while their kids just dance, like, you know. Yeah, just for a little bit. Like just Wusa. Literally the doors closed. No one's going anywhere. All the kids are gonna be in one central location where they you can see them, but you don't have to be with them and just like how often do parents actually get a time to just chill? So they're all gonna be there. Yeah. And if like thanks. Robin Axline: And you're such a great hostess, so I can see this. Tita Lors: We'll see. gosh. I'm I'm a little bit scared, but I think it's gonna be fine. Alright. So this is why I'm somewhere between heeled and unhinged because I think I'm crazy for doing this, but it's gonna be fun. Robin Axline: Sounds great. But I'm picking up what you're putting down. Tita Lors: Yeah. All right, everyone. Well, we have stories for you. That's probably also somewhere between healed and unhinged. I'm gonna go first if that's okay with you. Okay, cool. So this is from Threads because Threads has just been giving all of the good tea for me recently. And I don't even have to look for it. If I go to Reddit, I have to actually search. But Threads like, Hey, this is interesting. Have you heard this? And I'm like, no. Tell me more. my god, threads, you are all so interesting. I can't believe I ever dis I was ever like on the fence about getting thread. It's so good. It's just so good. But anyways, this comes from our friend. Their name is Devastating T. And they're asking, I need a ruling. So here's what they say. Y'all, Robin Axline: Okay. Tita Lors: I need a ruling because I know I'm not the only one who would have noticed this. Yesterday was my birthday and I had a murder mystery dinner because apparently regular birthday dinners aren't dramatic enough for me. I told Me either, friend! my god. Robin Axline: Yeah, I know how on like, how on topic is this? Tita Lors: No, and I didn't even plan it. So I told everybody coming, wear polka dots. Black and white. Cute. Simple. Fun. We're taking pictures. We're coordinated. We're giving a birthday party with a theme. One of my friends asked if she could bring a guest. I said, sure. The friend told the guest about the polka dot dress code. About the polka dot dress code. So tell me why this woman walks in in a solid orange dress. Yeah. Pause for dramatic effect. She didn't say that I did. Not a polka dot in sight. Everybody else. Black and white. Polka dot her. And somebody actually asked her, What happened to your polka dots? Her response, Robin, do you want to take a guess? Robin Axline: They fell off. Tita Lors: That probably would have been a better response. That would have been better, I think. Honestly, that would've made me laugh and I would have been like, Fine, whatever. Robin Axline: I would have said but I also wouldn't be wearing Bogot so anyways. No, that's wild. That is crazy. Unhinged. So far. Tita Lors: I wouldn't be wearing orange to a black and white party. My god. Ugh. Unhinged. It gets more unhinged. Her response? I forgot. It was last minute. I figured the orange would stand out. I'm making faces, people. Yes. Robin Axline: Yeah, I made some big face also. Tita Lors: Yes. Stand out, ma'am. Stand out where? This is a birthday party, not your personal fashion week debut. And before y'all say, maybe she didn't have anything polka dot, I found out she knew about the theme for a whole week. A whole week. Mm-hmm. Robin's making faces again. Yes. So now I'm sitting here wondering if I'm being petty because personally if I'm invited to your birthday party and you say, Hey, wear polka dots, I'm gonna find me some damn polka dots. I don't care if it's a shirt, earrings, shoes, scarf, something. Because where did everybody else understand the excit assignment? Except Miss, I'm going to stand out. sorry, not where. Because why did everybody else understand the assignment except Miss, I'm going to stand out. And let me be very clear before the comments start. No, I'm not mad that she looked good. No, she did not outshine me. No, I'm not jealous of the orange dress. I'm questioning the audacity. Because if you were invited to somebody else's birthday party by a guest, knew the dress code a week in advance, and still deliberately showed up as the only person who didn't follow it, are you inconsiderate? Oblivious or was this a little attention seeking? Threads, please argue amongst yourselves. Robin Axline: nice. I like how she's like, hold on, hear me out, and then now go. Tita Lors: Exactly. Yeah, yeah. Go, go, go, go. It r I just I definitely showed up to somebody's party. It was like a pastel party and I ended up going in a red dress. But I know. It was really bad and I did apologize. It was really, really bad. I did apologize. I was like, I'm so sorry. It was like just packed, busy with like work and I thought I had something pastel. I'm like looking through my closet, I really and it was like this some other theme too and I was trying to I stuck to the dress code theme, but the color was wrong. And I was like, I I'm so sorry. Like I I accept the anger. I I know. Bad, bad, tiss, tiss, shame, shame. Bad best friend. Robin Axline: You were a plus one or just you? Tita Lors: No, it was my best friend's like bridal shower or something. Robin Axline: Okay, I feel like that's a little different than being a plus one. Tita Lors: Yeah, right. I th there's some like underlying things here that we don't have to get into. Robin Axline: Okay, gotcha, gotcha. Tita Lors: But yeah. So I I was keeping that in mind while I was thinking about the orange dress. But orange is so far from black and white. Orange is so far from polka dot, right? At least I stuck to one part of the theme. It was like a specific dress code. I forget. It was high T or whatever. Like I I picked a dress that fit the high T theme. I just didn't pick the right color. So she didn't do any of it. E even if she came in like orange polka dot, that's still partly on theme. Robin Axline: Yeah. Tita Lors: Something. Robin Axline: To me it sounds like she had a dress in her mind and nothing could change her from wanting to wear that specific dress. Like, she probably was feeling herself or something and was like, I'm gonna wear this to the wedding. it's polka dot theme. I'm gonna stand out. I'm so proud of this dress and I look good. Yeah, that's my take. Why in the world would you do that? Yeah. Tita Lors: Yeah, I look good, blah blah blah. Yep. But it's not your birthday. Robin Axline: I mean, I'm still- yeah, not excusing it, but it- I'm just trying to get into her head. Tita Lors: Like y stick do at least one part of the theme. Black and white, perhaps. Everyone's got some form of black and everyone's got some form of white. I don't want anybody's closet that doesn't have either black or white in it. Right? Or even if you don't have any black, maybe you can wear all white. Or if you don't have any white, wear all black. Like Robin Axline: Yeah, well I was even thinking like if I didn't even have a wig or something, I would take like a black shirt and then I'd do like bleach tie-dye and try to make like white dots Tita Lors: my god. Robin Axline: on it somehow. Tita Lors: my gosh, yeah. So some people even, right, were like, j cut out some circles and paste that, like tape that onto your body. Robin Axline: Yeah, I mean, then you would at least not stand out. Tita Lors: Yeah, or have some kind of a polka dot. Damn. Robin Axline: Yeah, just actually also I would go to a thrift store probably too. Tita Lors: Mm-hmm. Yeah, tickets su like even if you don't have enough time, come on. Yeah. So a lot of people were like, just hand her the camera. She no longer she's not allowed to be in any pictures. She is now the camera person. Here you go. Yeah. And then I found out that a lot of people don't like polka dots. Yeah. I was like, what does everyone have against polka dots? Why don't we like them? What am I missing? Robin Axline: I lot of- or not a lot, but I have a few of Pokédex things. Tita Lors: I don't I think I used to. I had this really great brown and cream colored polka dot dress, but it doesn't fit anymore, so I had to give it away. Yeah, sort of. But more like the rouche fitting here and then just like a line f like fall type of thing, whereas the the pretty woman I feel like had more structure to it. Robin Axline: Yeah, it was more like a, yeah. Tita Lors: Yeah, more A line, but mine just like. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Robin Axline: But the colors made me think of that. Tita Lors: That's one of the reasons why I bought that. Robin Axline: Aw, you're the best. That's so funny. Tita Lors: Okay, I'm gonna show you the picture, but I'm not gonna show everyone else. Robin Axline: What in the world? Tita Lors: Yeah, and so the chick in the pink, that was the person in the murder mystery who like died who was murdered, right? And then the one in the white dress and the black polka dots, I'm pretty sure that's the birthday person. And that we all know who the additional friend is. Yeah. Look at her shoes though. I don't know if you can zoom in, but her shoes are so cute. Yes. Robin Axline: I her. A birthday girl shoes? I love- I was just gonna say that. Her shoes are so cute. Yeah. Tita Lors: Right? my gosh. And then her profile picture is of her in an orange dress. She's banging. Just slay. Just beautiful. So no, this chick in the orange was not going to upstage her. It's just not happening. Mm-hmm. Robin Axline: Not happening, yeah. Aw, yeah, that is... Even to say I was hoping it would stand out. Tita Lors: I would never say that. Robin Axline: No, it's not your birthday! Tita Lors: Exactly. I would do everything in my power to just blend in. Robin Axline: Totally, especially if you're plus one, I feel like. Tita Lors: Yeah. Like if I don't know anyone I I would rather just blend it. It's fine. I don't have to stand out. I don't know anybody here. Yep. So that's that's my healed or unhinged story and I guess that's our heeled and unhinged advice. Like I know, we we're so good at this. Why weren't we doing this segment earlier? Just on it. Robin Axline: Yes, yes, it's a gift. Tita Lors: Okay. Let's hear your healed or unhinged story. Robin Axline: Okay, great. Great, great, great. So... Basically, this one is from the independent.com. And I'd say like the long story short part is I spent eight years getting revenge and accidentally saved another woman. Tita Lors: What? Robin Axline: And this... Other ones like, woman claims she spent 15 years acting out revenge on man who wronged her friend. And so a woman has proved that people are capable of holding a grudge for years. The woman named Linda Solly Hurd recently took to TikTok to stitch a video of another creator who has been mocked for suggesting she might be called crazy for not liking store-bought pesto. I cannot top that, Hurd said sarcastically before diving into her wild story. Fifteen years ago, Hurd was at a comedy show with her friends in college when one friend stood up and accidentally knocked over her chair in the process. This caused the man sitting behind her friend to spill his drink all over himself. While Herd's friend apologized, he decided to respond with profanities and even spit on Herd's friend. Tita Lors: No. That's when you get a drink thrown in your face. On purpose, my guy. Keep your bodily fluids to yourself. Robin Axline: right? Yeah, that's really gross. mean, I unfortunately have had drinks spilled on me and it is not pleasant. It's not fun. Tita Lors: No, it's not. But I doubt that you spit on them. Robin Axline: I did though. No, I'm just kidding, I didn't. Tita Lors: You spit on I'd I'd be like Do I even know you? Robin Axline: No, I didn't. I was like, it's okay. It's okay. I'll clean it up myself. Like, I didn't wanna... Anyways. Tita Lors: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Robin Axline: so... yeah, so... responded with profanities and even spit on Herd's friend. We move on to our night... Sorry. We move on with our night. Do not move on with our lives, Herb Si- Herd said in her TikTok, she goes on to eventually find the culprit on Facebook, where it's revealed that he is a fan of the shows Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead. This was back when the shows were airing, so you get one a week and you would do anything to avoid a spoiler, Herd explained. Herd began looking for every spoiler for both shows that she could find and make fake Facebook accounts to send him spoilers on a weekly basis. Tita Lors: my gosh. Robin Axline: He tried to block the accounts on Facebook, but Heard would respond by making another account, which she continued to do for months. That is until he ended up in one of her college classes. Tita Lors: Ha ha. Robin Axline: This reignited her hatred for him, and she decided to send him spoilers again while he stopped sharing his interests on Facebook. Tita Lors: Ha ha ha. Robin Axline: She peeked at his computer screen during class and noticed one of his usernames and tried to figure out which platform he was using the moniker. After finding out it was linked to his reddit account, she started sending him spoilers again. Herd took a break from her grudge for eight years until she noticed a mutual friend and now she was engaged to none other than the man she hated for nearly a decade. Tita Lors: my god. Robin Axline: Out of curiosity, she went back to his reddit page to see what he's been up to for the past eight years. I see some pretty sinister stuff on his reddit, Herd said. There are pictures that he's passing off as her, his fiance. If it was your partner, you would want to know," she continued. As a result, Heard went back to one of her old Facebook accounts and sent his fiance a link to his Reddit account so she could look for herself. The woman then called off the engagement and went on to marry someone else. Since Heard first posted the video on the 17th of October, it has this is not, this is from October 20, 23, by the by. So. I, let's see, October, 17th of October has reached more than three million views. She captioned Tita Lors: Wow. Robin Axline: the TikTok, this is genuinely unhinged. And I do Tita Lors: Ha ha ha. Robin Axline: have permission from his ex to share this. Many people turn to the comment section to applaud Herd's dedication to revenge. You've been quietly dismantling this dumb man's life for years, one person commented with a heart emoji. Tita Lors: Ha ha ha ha. Robin Axline: Another commenter agreed writing, your pettiness ended up saving that girl and I applaud you for that. Tita Lors: Yeah. Robin Axline: When you said eight years later, I almost died. Patience top tier. Another commenter. Tita Lors: Do it for real. Robin Axline: Other commenters commended her for saving for using something as subtle as spoilers to upset the subject of her revenge. You saved her and the spoiler idea is so good and petty lol. So that's basically it. I did have a TikTok to share. If we have time. So let me pause this. I just couldn't like not tell this story when I found it. Tita Lors: No, that is like playing the long game. You had time. You created multiple Facebook s Facebook accounts to be able to like mess with this guy's head, basically. Robin Axline: so I'm gonna play the clip from TikTok and it's pretty funny. you I am. Thank I'm pretty good opening them. Tita Lors: Yeah. Robin Axline: Ha! Tita Lors: I get it. Okay. Robin Axline: Thank Tita Lors: Yay. A hundred percent. You definitely should not. Robin Axline: that that no 100 % I know that was a little lengthy but I felt like we had to hear directly from the scale. Tita Lors: Mm-hmm. Yep. That's awesome. I mean, no notes. That is so impressive. I would get bored after like honestly just searching. How did she find Robin Axline: Yeah. Tita Lors: like no name, nothing, just a face? She could she should be in the FBI. Like what the hell? Robin Axline: Yeah. Yeah, seriously. Because I was, yeah, I was even thinking, like, wait, how did she just find him? Tita Lors: Yeah. Like the I g there has to be more context clues. You can't just be like guy at the comedy show. Robin Axline: Yeah, that spill the drink and spit on me. Tita Lors: Yeah. There's gotta be more context clues than that. And obviously it's small community. Must have been like a college community, right? Because they ended up at they're in the same college together. So this seems like it was maybe a while ago. Hmm. Robin Axline: Yeah, well, yeah, because she said it was when Breaking Bad and Walking Dead were new. Tita Lors: Yeah. Yeah. So you could probably like search people in your school maybe for I don't know. She went she did a lot of work. I would have like, It's not worth it, it's fine. Robin Axline: know, especially when she's like, went on forums and Reddit and this, Tita Lors: Mm. Mm-hmm. Robin Axline: girl. Tita Lors: If you had a lot of time on your hands, I and patience. So much patience. I would have got bored so fast. Robin Axline: Yeah, seriously. So I guess for me, this one was kind of like... She waited eight years and got like her final revenge kind of thing, one she said about the fiance, which was probably kind of shocking. But I'm like, is this more healed or more unhinged? I'm not quite certain. All of it. Tita Lors: Yes, all of it. Well also it wasn't it wasn't like she was in the background waiting like I will have my revenge in eight years. Right? Like it just kind Robin Axline: Yeah, that's fair, yeah. Tita Lors: of fell into her lap. You know, fate was like, remember this guy? Fuck him up. Like Kar Robin Axline: Totally, yeah. Tita Lors: Karma was like, I know just the person to to hat jole out. Yeah. Robin Axline: Like, we're not done with him. Yeah. And especially how she was singing in class, how he was like, double's advocate for everything. I was like, boy, he's not a good person. Super fun. And he's got two girlies, Tita Lors: Mm-hmm. I'm sure he's a fun person to be around. Mm-hmm. Robin Axline: which is surprising. Tita Lors: No. Yeah. Not fun, not fun. I'm so glad she got out of that relationship and that this person had the patience to deal with that. Lord knows I don't. Seriously. Alright, well this one's gonna be a short one, but a good one, hopefully, because Robin's gotta go. She's got big girl things to do. Robin Axline: Hmm... No fun. I'd rather be here with all y'alls. Tita Lors: But we'll be back soon because we have to we have one more episode to record. Robin Axline: So we'll be back. And we'll miss you. So just stay with us and like, subscribe, all the things and tell us, are Tita Lors: Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Robin Axline: you unhinged? Are you healed? Are you whole? Do Tita Lors: Yeah. Robin Axline: you have a story? Tita Lors: Yeah, well, yes, like Robin said, if you have a third party perspective or some unhinged ideas, please reach out to us. or if you sorry, if you would like a third party perspective or some unhinged ideas, please reach out to us. We have the T line, eight one six eight three two five four six three, or email petty and unbothered at gmail dot com, Instagram at petty and unbothered, or just tell us in the comments because we're here for it. yeah. All the stuff. And until next time everyone. Fuck it. Robin Axline: Stay petty. Tita Lors: Bye. Robin Axline: Bye. Tita Lors: Blah blah blah blah blah. Stop.
