John 7:30 So they were seeking to seize Him; and no man laid his hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come. We see God’s providence at work in this verse. The rulers wanted to take Him into custody with the intent to kill Him, but they didn’t because God’s time for that to occur had not come. There was more work to be done, more truth to be spoken, more love revealed to those who were His. So no man could touch Him with evil intent.
