- 1:39Speaker 4: an hour. But if your phone rings and it says
- 1:41Speaker 4: no caller ID, just pick it up and take the chance.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Someone texted us yesterday at seven seven zero three one
- 1:47Speaker 4: and said they did just that on Tuesday and won
- 1:50Speaker 4: a suite on thousand dollars.
- 1:52Speaker 2: That's right. And if not for that directive, people do forget. Yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 2: they they're like, how did they tell you? I'm think, well,
- 1:57Speaker 2: if you're playing the game's strummer.
- 1:58Speaker 4: I mean, it could be an email, like, be a
- 2:00Speaker 4: text message, it could be a phone call, it could
- 2:02Speaker 4: be any number away.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:03Speaker 2: The number one thing they like to do is try
- 2:04Speaker 2: to fool you with that no callor ID or out
- 2:06Speaker 2: of the area or yeah, the number you don't recognize.
- 2:10Speaker 2: And that's trippy because sometimes you'll pick it up into
- 2:12Speaker 2: that long lost brother you haven't talk to do in
- 2:13Speaker 2: thirty years, or that bill collector, No, that bill collector
- 2:15Speaker 2: both uncomfortable.
- 2:16Speaker 3: That's wunning, just to say, no, Oblow.
- 2:19Speaker 2: How you guys doing today? Good Friday?
- 2:20Speaker 3: Oh it's Friday.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Angels already done a full seventeen hour shift with the monsters.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Dud.
- 2:26Speaker 2: You didn't even go home?
- 2:27Speaker 5: Did you?
- 2:27Speaker 2: Just kind of kicked it back there in the lounge po.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Yeah, just the lounge. It's become my office. Yeah. I
- 2:33Speaker 5: like that place, great great lighting in there.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Are you going home after this? For a few minutes
- 2:37Speaker 2: before your show tonight, I'll go home, my gosh.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I'll go home for a little bit and then
- 2:42Speaker 6: I think I'm gonna so just was talking with my kid,
- 2:46Speaker 6: so just to take her mind off some stuff, and
- 2:47Speaker 6: I think we're gonna go to a petrified forest.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Oh we're going tonight too.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Yeah, so I think we'll be out there, dude. Yeah,
- 2:52Speaker 6: so I'll probably more than likely programming note just amongst
- 2:56Speaker 6: us friends, tonight might be the best of what the okay,
- 2:59Speaker 6: very you do it live, it'll be uh. I'll probably
- 3:03Speaker 6: start later.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and one of the real do you man
- 3:05Speaker 2: if I share what you were talking about earlier?
- 3:08Speaker 5: Absolutely?
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I mean, you know, we really didn't talk
- 3:10Speaker 2: about this this week very much because it's not one
- 3:12Speaker 2: of those subjects you were like bringing up when people
- 3:14Speaker 2: tune into you to maybe, you know, laugh and blow
- 3:16Speaker 2: off real life. Occasionally, sometimes we do get into some
- 3:19Speaker 2: serious stuff. We talked about the case with Grady Judd
- 3:21Speaker 2: and that poor young lady who had leaned on that
- 3:23Speaker 2: Sheriff's department to protect them.
- 3:26Speaker 5: They did not.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Now they're facing a lawsuit. We do talk about that
- 3:28Speaker 2: stuff occasionally. We all also talk about tame fishing.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly and earlier we did get some text messages
- 3:35Speaker 4: actually from people who alerted us to this story, but
- 3:37Speaker 4: there was no way to verify the information. So at
- 3:40Speaker 4: that point I just simply wasn't comfortable going on the
- 3:43Speaker 4: air with.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It, and interesting pulling the show today. You know a
- 3:46Speaker 2: lot of the local news agencies have really kind of
- 3:49Speaker 2: pointed that out, like, look, we were waiting for some
- 3:51Speaker 2: clarification to make sure we had all this right before
- 3:53Speaker 2: we said anything, name namely, our friend Amy Kaufeld over
- 3:56Speaker 2: at Fox thirty five, I believe put up a Facebook
- 3:59Speaker 2: Facebook post today talking about it. What we're talking about is, unfortunately,
- 4:02Speaker 2: this past week, we had three young people take their
- 4:05Speaker 2: own lives, all in Seminal County high schools.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Which is I mean, one is too many, but three
- 4:10Speaker 3: in one week, and.
- 4:12Speaker 2: You know they were all in that fourteen to fifteen
- 4:14Speaker 2: year old Range Lake. Let's see, we had winter springs,
- 4:18Speaker 2: we had Haggarty, and we had Limeman. I believe, yes,
- 4:23Speaker 2: all had three young people take their own lives. And
- 4:26Speaker 2: it's been a very difficult week for those schools, you know,
- 4:29Speaker 2: and you know know a lot of those people had
- 4:31Speaker 2: friends and family and you know that's tough on students.
- 4:35Speaker 6: You know, this is the first one time, guys where
- 4:39Speaker 6: and it's one of those things as a parent, like so,
- 4:40Speaker 6: I guess sometimes it's not in the front of mine
- 4:42Speaker 6: that these are probably conversations that you have, I guess
- 4:46Speaker 6: going up.
- 4:46Speaker 5: So you just don't you don't think of it. Yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 5: in the case.
- 4:50Speaker 6: My daughter, she had actual she was in class with
- 4:53Speaker 6: the softball player. They sat next to each other and
- 4:55Speaker 6: in that class, and then the other ballplayer.
- 4:57Speaker 5: She was friends with him.
- 4:59Speaker 6: Wow, and so and like when you were walking by
- 5:02Speaker 6: just now, she was telling me how in the class
- 5:05Speaker 6: that they she had with the softball player, the teacher
- 5:07Speaker 6: had decorated her desk and everything and all that.
- 5:10Speaker 5: But it's just a.
- 5:10Speaker 6: Heavy conversation it is to have with the especially or
- 5:15Speaker 6: not especially, but with any fifteen year old. But you know,
- 5:18Speaker 6: young lady, and it's you know, another young woman, uh,
- 5:21Speaker 6: taking her life and and they that proximity to.
- 5:24Speaker 4: It, you know, don't do what my dad did when
- 5:26Speaker 4: it happened to me when I had a classmate take
- 5:30Speaker 4: their own lives when I was a sophomore in high school.
- 5:33Speaker 5: That's what she is.
- 5:33Speaker 4: And he you know, this is back in the old
- 5:37Speaker 4: school days, right, Well, that kid's just stupid. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 5:41Speaker 4: you know that was a dumb choice, and it was like,
- 5:44Speaker 4: I hear your dad, but this is not the time, yeah,
- 5:47Speaker 4: to be using.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Those words the room because our school is raw.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Yeah yeah. And the funny thing is, in my high
- 5:55Speaker 2: school we didn't deal with this ever. There were no
- 5:58Speaker 2: no we did with We dealt with the death couple
- 6:00Speaker 2: of traffic deaths, but no one that would take their
- 6:03Speaker 2: own life. So I you know, we would have not
- 6:04Speaker 2: had any like I would have had any faculty or
- 6:08Speaker 2: reason to have a conversation with like that with any
- 6:10Speaker 2: of my kids, because again, just both like what Angel said,
- 6:13Speaker 2: you know, how do you even draw that? Oh, everybody,
- 6:15Speaker 2: come and sit down for a minute, and we're going
- 6:16Speaker 2: to give you a just in case conversation. Yeah, how
- 6:19Speaker 2: do you? I mean, how would you even approach that?
- 6:21Speaker 2: Because you know your kids are at that point also
- 6:23Speaker 2: they're so kind of convinced they know more about life
- 6:26Speaker 2: than you already, it would kind of come off as
- 6:29Speaker 2: almost kind of disingenuous. But you know, of course we
- 6:32Speaker 2: see now that's obviously not the case.
- 6:34Speaker 4: I think a lot of it is just checking in
- 6:37Speaker 4: and saying you know, I was a teenager once too,
- 6:40Speaker 4: and I remember it was very confusing and very depressing. Right,
- 6:43Speaker 4: it's very depressing, and that was before the advent of
- 6:46Speaker 4: social media and everything else. But it's always been depressing.
- 6:50Speaker 4: It's always been challenging and confusing.
- 6:53Speaker 6: At that age where you've got that so like everything
- 6:56Speaker 6: else thing like everything goes is going on and sometimes
- 6:58Speaker 6: I think, you know, at that age, you think that
- 7:00Speaker 6: it's just happening to you exactly.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Life is changing, your body is changing, the way you
- 7:04Speaker 2: perceive life is changing, the world is changing.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Think about it. When we were, you know, under the
- 7:09Speaker 4: constant threat of nuclear war, it was like, well, our
- 7:11Speaker 4: parents don't understand what that was like, you know, when
- 7:14Speaker 4: oh yeah, well they probably went through their own challenges.
- 7:18Speaker 4: So it's easy to feel like it's not a conversation.
- 7:21Speaker 4: But at the same time, Angel, I mean just having
- 7:24Speaker 4: your shoulder available for her, taking her somewhere to you know,
- 7:28Speaker 4: engage her in something different.
- 7:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm grabbing her and her friends tonight, and you.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Can't say take her mind off of it. But it's
- 7:34Speaker 4: a strong time a distraction exactly.
- 7:37Speaker 2: And by the way, we have a teacher from Liman
- 7:39Speaker 2: that listens all the time, and he's texting me right
- 7:40Speaker 2: now and said, hey, you know I talked to you
- 7:42Speaker 2: and told you guys about this earlier this week, and
- 7:44Speaker 2: I wasn't ignoring you, brother, but you know, we have
- 7:46Speaker 2: a certain protocol we have to carry and follow here
- 7:49Speaker 2: at the station before we get anything out there, and
- 7:51Speaker 2: it has to be confirmed. And you have to be
- 7:52Speaker 2: very careful about the sensitivity of this stuff, man, I
- 7:55Speaker 2: mean these are children. Yeah, we can't just go on
- 7:57Speaker 2: the air off of a text. I just keep that serious.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Hard to put a subject like that on blast when
- 8:02Speaker 2: you want to make sure that you're being sensitive to
- 8:04Speaker 2: the families and the people around and the other students
- 8:06Speaker 2: whose parents could listen to this show. And we actually
- 8:09Speaker 2: we know that to be the case. So again, no
- 8:11Speaker 2: disrespect dog, because I appreciate you listening. But you know,
- 8:14Speaker 2: this is one of those things we kind of know
- 8:15Speaker 2: our business here and we have to make sure that
- 8:17Speaker 2: we pay attention to those things and don't want to
- 8:19Speaker 2: cause a bigger issue than might already be there. You know.
- 8:23Speaker 2: But that is just absolutely horrifying information. And yeah, something
- 8:27Speaker 2: I never had to do with as a kid, never
- 8:29Speaker 2: dealt with that whatever. I never had anybody close to
- 8:31Speaker 2: me take their own life.
- 8:32Speaker 4: I only had that one experience, but that one experience
- 8:35Speaker 4: literally changed our school overnight.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, all right, seven seven zero three one. You
- 8:39Speaker 2: can always text us there if you have a comment.
- 8:41Speaker 2: We have a bunch of them coming in right now.
- 8:43Speaker 2: There is a lot of stuff going on out there
- 8:45Speaker 2: this weekend, man, A lot of stuff happening in the
- 8:47Speaker 2: in the news. But I will I want to ask
- 8:49Speaker 2: you guys something. Did you ever have one of your
- 8:51Speaker 2: favorite spots closed down and you didn't know about it?
- 8:55Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 8:56Speaker 6: In Orlando, in the last let's say five six Yeris
- 8:59Speaker 6: has been a ton of spottive closed out.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Well.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Two have closed on me and I found out one
- 9:04Speaker 2: this afternoon by walking up the door and trying to
- 9:06Speaker 2: pull it open and it was closed. And dude, look,
- 9:08Speaker 2: I know this is gonna sound ridiculous, but there's this
- 9:11Speaker 2: Japanese buffet that was right up the street here and
- 9:14Speaker 2: that Public's plaz that I used to like to hit
- 9:16Speaker 2: about once every two weeks as it was like, oh,
- 9:18Speaker 2: you can eat sushi, and the food was great. It
- 9:21Speaker 2: really was good for a buffet until you came in
- 9:23Speaker 2: here and burped and then snored. Man, that is they
- 9:27Speaker 2: closed down. I went up to pull the door today.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I was gonna sneak in there and grab me some food.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I went to grab the door, I noticed it was
- 9:32Speaker 2: also closed on Monday. I thought, maybe they're just maybe
- 9:35Speaker 2: closing on Monday. There's no sign on the door. Went
- 9:38Speaker 2: to the you know truck, opened up. Their Facebook page
- 9:40Speaker 2: permanently closed, and then on top of that, the damn
- 9:43Speaker 2: Post Time Lounge is closing permanently. I think after a
- 9:46Speaker 2: petrified forest tonight, we're gonna slide over and try to
- 9:49Speaker 2: catch a show. But their Facebook pages down, their websites
- 9:52Speaker 2: down already.
- 9:52Speaker 5: I think they're done at the end of this month.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Number second is their last show. Okay, that's
- 9:56Speaker 2: their last show or their last opening night. So I'm
- 9:59Speaker 2: just trying to kick it out there tonight and at
- 10:00Speaker 2: least uh kind of go in there and stir around
- 10:02Speaker 2: and do one shot of yager for old times. That's
- 10:05Speaker 2: kind of a bummer, man, I mean, I don't I
- 10:08Speaker 2: hate that kind of thing when you when something becomes
- 10:10Speaker 2: part of your normal, like day or week or month
- 10:13Speaker 2: or whatever, you're just used to popping in there. I
- 10:16Speaker 2: remember when they even moved the Starbucks I went to
- 10:18Speaker 2: they just moved to the block away and I was pissed.
- 10:20Speaker 5: Yea, and that way. I know exactly what you're talking about.
- 10:23Speaker 6: And it wasn't it wasn't conducive to the way when
- 10:26Speaker 6: you came in the morning.
- 10:27Speaker 5: They they made it a paint in.
- 10:28Speaker 2: A stupid drive through under the apartment complex. Get out
- 10:32Speaker 2: of here.
- 10:32Speaker 5: That I quick going to that place. That's funny.
- 10:34Speaker 6: I did the same thing, and they kind of went
- 10:35Speaker 6: to AT and T cell phone started the otherwise.
- 10:38Speaker 5: No, not dismissing AT and T. I'm just saying it
- 10:40Speaker 5: was a liquor store.
- 10:41Speaker 2: First they turned into the public liquor store, and then
- 10:43Speaker 2: they turned into an AT and Dai.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Yeah, man, oh man, it's the Wow Factory.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, a little shop at Mount Dora where
- 10:49Speaker 4: you used to get all your funky fun socks for
- 10:51Speaker 4: Christmas and some great kitchen magnets. Went there to go
- 10:55Speaker 4: buy a gift a couple of weeks ago, and it
- 10:56Speaker 4: was store.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Where's the store? You know, My wife and I were
- 10:59Speaker 2: kind of getting tenderly. How do you even go out
- 11:01Speaker 2: of business out there? I mean literally, they bring in
- 11:03Speaker 2: like one hundred thousand people a weekend for like three
- 11:05Speaker 2: quarters of the year. Well, I mean, you have to
- 11:08Speaker 2: be selling aids in there. My god, ahm, Maddy, how
- 11:12Speaker 2: do you out a business in a store that has
- 11:14Speaker 2: five hundred thousand people walking mic ever twenty minutes?
- 11:16Speaker 4: I don't know, but they still apparently didn't get the
- 11:19Speaker 4: memos stay open for me.
- 11:20Speaker 5: They didn't make it good, damn it.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Looking forward to a petrified forest. I'm not much of
- 11:25Speaker 2: a Halloween har Knights guy because there's so much walking.
- 11:28Speaker 2: So my wife and her friend goes. But man, I
- 11:30Speaker 2: am dying to get a petrified forest and I it's
- 11:32Speaker 2: so much fun. And it is. It's become like a
- 11:34Speaker 2: Central Florida legend, has it not?
- 11:36Speaker 5: Absolutely?
- 11:37Speaker 2: There's a couple of trails out there in the Lake
- 11:40Speaker 2: Counting area that are also supposed to be pretty good.
- 11:41Speaker 2: There's a lot of stuff out there to do. This
- 11:43Speaker 2: coming because the weather's so good. All right, seven seven
- 11:46Speaker 2: zero three one. There's a bunch of stuff to talk
- 11:47Speaker 2: about today. Today. The ruling from an air line on
- 11:52Speaker 2: dogs is going to be interesting. We didn't talk about
- 11:55Speaker 2: the twenty four year old Hooters assistant manager that wants
- 11:59Speaker 2: to be the mayor of Aklyin. We're going to talk
- 12:00Speaker 2: about that a little bit. A Winter Springs cop has
- 12:03Speaker 2: got himself in some trouble, and divorce rates are changing
- 12:06Speaker 2: in America as well. What do you have for news
- 12:08Speaker 2: for us today?
- 12:08Speaker 4: Well, we're going to talk about air delays to grow
- 12:11Speaker 4: as the government shut down. Lingers, keep that in mind
- 12:13Speaker 4: with your Thanksgiving and holiday travel. DeSantis announces a plan
- 12:17Speaker 4: to relieve traffic in central Florida and police arrest Postal Malone. Okay,
- 12:24Speaker 4: we'll talk about that and more coming up next during
- 12:27Speaker 4: JCS news.

- 13:11Speaker 2: tomorrow and possibly across the nation. Yeah.
- 13:13Speaker 7: Who is it?
- 13:14Speaker 2: Who do you think it is? I don't know who
- 13:18Speaker 2: does that fit that we know from our past.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Oh, it's it's got to be the great Jim Phillips.

- 13:54Speaker 1: Here's the news on the Jim Colber Show.
- 13:58Speaker 4: JCS News is brought to you by that mortgage guy.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Don give him a listen tomorrow morning when he's host
- 14:03Speaker 4: of the Home Loans radio show. Florida lawmakers are pushing
- 14:07Speaker 4: a series of bills aimed at cutting property taxes, mostly
- 14:10Speaker 4: for homeowners with a homestead exemption. The proposals range from
- 14:14Speaker 4: eliminating non school taxes to capping how fast property values
- 14:19Speaker 4: can rise. How Speaker Daniel Perez says voters should decide
- 14:22Speaker 4: which ideas make it into law on the twenty twenty
- 14:25Speaker 4: six ballot.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Let me just say that again.
- 14:28Speaker 4: House Speaker Daniel Perez says voters should decide which ideas
- 14:33Speaker 4: make it into law on the twenty twenty six ballot.
- 14:36Speaker 3: That felt so refreshing to say. Governor A.
- 14:39Speaker 4: DeSantis has called for major property tax relief, but school
- 14:42Speaker 4: funding would remain untouched under all plans good. The National
- 14:47Speaker 4: Hurricane Center is monitoring two areas for potential tropical development.
- 14:51Speaker 4: In areas south of Nova Scotia never expected to hear
- 14:54Speaker 4: that in the National Hurricane Center has a low ten
- 14:56Speaker 4: percent chance of development due to cooler waters outside of
- 14:59Speaker 4: the Gulf Stream. However, an area east of the Windward
- 15:02Speaker 4: Islands may eventually develop into a tropical system as it
- 15:06Speaker 4: moves westward into the Caribbean. Forecasters say that could happen
- 15:10Speaker 4: by the end of next week. The next potential named
- 15:12Speaker 4: storm is Melissa, and you know she's just going to
- 15:15Speaker 4: be a deer.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Yeah, Sweet Melissa, Sweet Melissa. All right.
- 15:19Speaker 4: A man accused of tying his dog to a fence
- 15:22Speaker 4: as Hurricane Milton approached the Tampa Bay area last year
- 15:25Speaker 4: is no longer facing criminal charges Dalesboro State Attorney's Office
- 15:30Speaker 4: as prosecutors didn't have enough evidence Giovanni Aldama Garcia acted intentionally.
- 15:36Speaker 4: The dog, later named Trooper, was rescued by a state
- 15:40Speaker 4: trooper and became the face of a new Florida law
- 15:42Speaker 4: protecting pats during disasters. Governor DeSantis signed Trooper's Law in
- 15:47Speaker 4: May after it passed unanimously in the state legislature. And
- 15:50Speaker 4: if you remember, after Trooper was rescued, the governor himself
- 15:54Speaker 4: had taken to Twitter, like let's find this guy.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Right and how did he get off? He said that
- 15:58Speaker 2: there was no intention that he was going to harm
- 16:00Speaker 2: the only he chained the animal to a fence while
- 16:02Speaker 2: the water was right.
- 16:03Speaker 3: I know, I know.
- 16:04Speaker 4: And the prosecutor is having to defend this decision. They're
- 16:07Speaker 4: having to defend this decision. I think, if anything, maybe
- 16:10Speaker 4: the consolation is that now there is a law going
- 16:13Speaker 4: forward that not only can Giovanni not do this again,
- 16:17Speaker 4: but nor can anyone else.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I say, I meant he got to quit it. I
- 16:22Speaker 2: mean how much tea? I mean, how many teeth can
- 16:24Speaker 2: the law have if they let the guy who did
- 16:26Speaker 2: it go.
- 16:27Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 16:27Speaker 4: I don't know, but like I said, the prosecutor is
- 16:29Speaker 4: having to answer for that decision.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Florida coming through like a drunk count.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Northeast Florida congressman wants to keep air traffic controllers paid
- 16:39Speaker 4: during the government shutdown. Representative Aaron Bean has introduced the
- 16:43Speaker 4: Aviation Funding Stability Act to protect essential FAA workers. Bean
- 16:49Speaker 4: says the bill is a preemptive strike against chaos and
- 16:52Speaker 4: the control tower. Transportation officials say staffing shortages among air
- 16:56Speaker 4: traffic controllers have caused more than half of all flight
- 17:00Speaker 4: delays since the shutdown began, up from five percent in
- 17:04Speaker 4: normal times, raising serious concerns about safety and reliability. And
- 17:09Speaker 4: In a related story, as the government shutdown heads into
- 17:11Speaker 4: another weekend, experts are warning anyone planning.
- 17:15Speaker 3: To fly to be prepared to wait.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Travel editor Peter Greenberg says the average delay is forty
- 17:21Speaker 4: five minutes, and it goes up drastically during peak travel times.
- 17:26Speaker 6: I've been on probably four flights this week none of
- 17:28Speaker 6: them took off on time.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Air traffic control wouldn't release them to take off because
- 17:33Speaker 2: they could not handle the load.
- 17:35Speaker 4: And he predicts these delays are going to go up
- 17:36Speaker 4: exponentially as more and more controllers call in sick the
- 17:40Speaker 4: longer the shutdown continues. I mean, that's a pretty stressful
- 17:44Speaker 4: job without a paycheck. Absolutely, if the shutdown stretches into
- 17:47Speaker 4: the Thanksgiving travel period, which is about five weeks away,
- 17:51Speaker 4: Greenberg fears things are going to get really really messy
- 17:54Speaker 4: because so far travel numbers are trending two percent higher
- 17:59Speaker 4: above last year's record numbers of travelers. So I imagine
- 18:03Speaker 4: you have air traffic controllers and TSA security people who
- 18:07Speaker 4: are not getting paid working that horrendous holiday travel season.
- 18:12Speaker 4: And the longer that delay goes on, the more and
- 18:14Speaker 4: more of these folks are just going to call and
- 18:16Speaker 4: see I mean, they're not getting to do with all
- 18:18Speaker 4: that s Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 2: My wife flew home from Austin yesterday and I was like, good.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Let's just say I'm very happy to know the Bradshaws
- 18:27Speaker 4: are flying this weekend as well and not waiting.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Your policy too. I was like, I up your value there.
- 18:37Speaker 4: An elected official in Bervard County may sue his colleagues.
- 18:41Speaker 4: The Palm Bay City Council voted yesterday to censure councilman
- 18:45Speaker 4: Chandler Langevin. The vote was in response to social media
- 18:48Speaker 4: posts he made accusing Indians of exploiting the US immigration
- 18:52Speaker 4: system and called for every single one of them to
- 18:54Speaker 4: be deported. Some called the post xenophobic and racist. Langevin
- 18:59Speaker 4: says he may sue the council because lawyer tells WESH
- 19:03Speaker 4: two the council is trying to limit Langavan's.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Free speech rights. Baby, little baby.
- 19:10Speaker 4: I mean, if that's what we're telling teachers with their
- 19:12Speaker 4: social media posts, then why is yours any difference? It's
- 19:16Speaker 4: not so guess what you you exercised your first amendmaphize,
- 19:20Speaker 4: and now you're getting the consequences.
- 19:22Speaker 3: That's part of being an adult. But his name is Chandler.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we mean come on, we know, right, we know,
- 19:31Speaker 2: private school Chandler, all right, king of adversity exactly. Little baby.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Baby, a Central Florida babysitter man is accused of poisoning
- 19:45Speaker 4: a baby she was caring for. Okay, Chobe County authorities
- 19:49Speaker 4: say fifty nine year old Anna Adamo used, apparently Annie
- 19:53Speaker 4: Freeze to poison the love month old boy, who was
- 19:55Speaker 4: put on life support. The incident happened back in February,
- 20:00Speaker 4: but Adama wasn't taken into custody until last week. She's
- 20:03Speaker 4: been charged with aggravated child abuse, attempted murder, and poisoning
- 20:07Speaker 4: with the tend to kill. Adamo has since been released
- 20:10Speaker 4: on a six hundred thousand dollars bond. And what's more
- 20:13Speaker 4: fascinating than that she faced these accusations before, but unfortunately
- 20:18Speaker 4: there was not enough evidence in that case to arrest her,
- 20:21Speaker 4: so she was released and years later, she's babysitting another child.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Well, got a mighty let's get her back out in
- 20:27Speaker 2: the public. Then let's do whatever we can to get
- 20:30Speaker 2: her back out in public. Did she postpond by the way.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Ah, yes, six hundred, so she came up with, yes,
- 20:36Speaker 4: that's sixty grand esuise. Probably should have used that for
- 20:40Speaker 4: your defense, but that's just me. Wow, man, Apparently babysitting
- 20:44Speaker 4: must be paying pretty good.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I think they had a babysitter these days.
- 20:48Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I haven't gotten one in a while because all my
- 20:50Speaker 2: kids are older. But I mean, when we when we
- 20:52Speaker 2: were just getting out of the game. It was still
- 20:54Speaker 2: it was twenty five bucks an hour for anybody that
- 20:57Speaker 2: you can even remotely trust. Twenty five dollars an hour.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I mean, you know, I could get somebody that was
- 21:01Speaker 2: living behind seven to eleven and do it for a
- 21:02Speaker 2: buck and a half, and I did twice. But you
- 21:05Speaker 2: know it didn't turn out great, and they just went
- 21:07Speaker 2: up passing out. My kids did what they wanted. But
- 21:09Speaker 2: when one of those will actually call you when something
- 21:11Speaker 2: goes on that's going to cost you time thirty I'm
- 21:13Speaker 2: its probably fifty bucks an hour right now, I wouldn't.
- 21:15Speaker 2: I mean, I bet it's one hundred dollars to get
- 21:16Speaker 2: a babysitter for like an evening for maybe three or
- 21:18Speaker 2: four hours.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Right now, Man, part of me wishes I was babysitting
- 21:22Speaker 4: right now, like cause back in all day, Yeah, you'd
- 21:24Speaker 4: make twenty five bucks.
- 21:25Speaker 3: The whole night.
- 21:26Speaker 2: That's how that Virginia Goyfery or whatever fray right, that's
- 21:30Speaker 2: how she started with the Epstein cruise. She did not
- 21:32Speaker 2: know that she actually got in at mar Lago right
- 21:36Speaker 2: by babysitting for the rich and famous there, and then
- 21:39Speaker 2: they kind of co mingled and she wound up in
- 21:41Speaker 2: that in that circle.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Well, speaking of that, I know you're going to talk
- 21:43Speaker 4: a little bit later about the new changes for one
- 21:46Speaker 4: now Andrew, Yeah, I don't have this guy's out in
- 21:48Speaker 4: jail an englishman named Andrew Yeah, formerly prince. All right, Well,
- 21:53Speaker 4: this next story said, hold my beer. And Orlando church
- 21:57Speaker 4: leader is facing criminal charges. Gary Wheeler is accused of
- 22:00Speaker 4: using someone else's identity without her consent to apply for
- 22:04Speaker 4: a life insurance policy that had him as the sole beneficiary.
- 22:09Speaker 4: He's bishop at Ocoe's Changing your World church. I guess
- 22:13Speaker 4: he meant that literally. But the alleged victim says Wheeler
- 22:20Speaker 4: used to be pastor at her church in Wisconsin. Makes
- 22:25Speaker 4: you wonder how many states exactly, how many people has
- 22:29Speaker 4: he victimized as pastor around the country.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I don't know that that's that uncommon in those circles
- 22:35Speaker 2: like that that we know what the Catholic Church, they
- 22:37Speaker 2: will shuffle him around some and I don't think that
- 22:38Speaker 2: that's I don't think that's saved for just the Catholic Church.
- 22:41Speaker 2: I think that I think that a lot of religious
- 22:43Speaker 2: organizations when they find somebody that have some trouble in
- 22:45Speaker 2: a certain area, they'll ship them off or send them out.
- 22:48Speaker 2: They won't. They won't. They won't do what they should do.
- 22:51Speaker 2: They'll protect him because of they're part of the game.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Well, I don't know if there is a senior organization
- 22:56Speaker 4: over or if this is just a pastor who travels
- 22:59Speaker 4: the country, but he's charge rather with three felonies. Insurance
- 23:03Speaker 4: agent Katrina an Phillips is also charged. This is some
- 23:07Speaker 4: good news. Barvard County Sheriff's Office is doing its part
- 23:10Speaker 4: to improve some neighborhoods. We've talked about this particular house
- 23:13Speaker 4: in the news before, but the bcso's High Intensity Target
- 23:18Speaker 4: or Hit unit is tearing down nuisance homes. Think of
- 23:23Speaker 4: that squatter in your neighborhood that you've been calling code
- 23:26Speaker 4: enforcement for years now. The first home taken down was
- 23:29Speaker 4: in Melbourne on Seneca Drive. A neighbor says the home
- 23:32Speaker 4: had been neglected since the owner died five years ago,
- 23:36Speaker 4: driving property values down. Kids can no longer walk in
- 23:39Speaker 4: the neighborhood without being accosted by the squatters.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Is this part of the compound that was over there?
- 23:43Speaker 2: Eth No, that's Vlucia County.
- 23:45Speaker 4: This is down in Bervard County and the homeowners around
- 23:48Speaker 4: in the neighborhood, would call the Sheriff's office. They're like, listen,
- 23:51Speaker 4: it's in probate. There's nothing we can do, you know.
- 23:55Speaker 4: But finally the Sheriff's office got this hit unit together
- 23:58Speaker 4: and they're going to be going after these NUIs and
- 24:00Speaker 4: homes throughout Bavard County. A neighbor so he also tells
- 24:04Speaker 4: Spectrum News thirteen that that house was screwing up the
- 24:07Speaker 4: whole neighborhood.
- 24:08Speaker 3: But now there may be light at the end of
- 24:10Speaker 3: the tunnel.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Speaking of light at the end of the tunnel, Florida
- 24:13Speaker 4: is taking what the governor calls major steps to relieve
- 24:16Speaker 4: traffic congestion in central Florida. Governor Ron DeSantis announced yesterday
- 24:20Speaker 4: the state is adding seventeen miles of new express lanes
- 24:25Speaker 4: to I four in Hillsboro County, oh Nice. There will
- 24:28Speaker 4: also be a new truck parking facility along the I
- 24:31Speaker 4: four corridor in Polk County, oh Cool. Desanta says the
- 24:34Speaker 4: state is also breaking ground on the nation's first infrastructure
- 24:38Speaker 4: for advanced air mobility or AAM.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Are those flying cars.
- 24:44Speaker 4: The FAA describes AAM as a new aviation concept that
- 24:48Speaker 4: uses highly automated electric or hybrid aircraft to transport people
- 24:54Speaker 4: and goods.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I heard that. I saw a story that's been
- 24:56Speaker 2: repeating on a Think newsweek that says you can learn
- 24:58Speaker 2: how to fly one of these flying cars in like
- 25:01Speaker 2: five minutes. And by the way, there used to be
- 25:06Speaker 2: a truck rest area out in that Polk County area.
- 25:09Speaker 2: My dad used to tell me about it. The the
- 25:14Speaker 2: salacious sexual transfer of humanity out there was so bad
- 25:19Speaker 2: that the f do OT literally shut it down. That's
- 25:22Speaker 2: how bad it was. Really. The old man used to
- 25:24Speaker 2: tell me stories. You'd pull up, there were your brights on,
- 25:26Speaker 2: and they would come out of the woodwork like fleas.
- 25:29Speaker 2: It was a crazy dude, he said, what was going
- 25:32Speaker 2: on in those places? Oh?
- 25:33Speaker 3: Man, So when truckers.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Tell you it's sketchy, exactly, when a trucker tells you
- 25:39Speaker 2: it's sketchy, take their word for it.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Man, that's another level of sketchy.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Like a Carnie going, I wouldn't ride that. I wouldn't
- 25:49Speaker 2: ride that, dude. I mean, it looks fun, but it
- 25:53Speaker 2: is literally held together with gum and duct paint.
- 25:57Speaker 4: Meanwhile, the traffic project is in the works in Orange
- 25:59Speaker 4: and Ostiola Counties to help with gridlock there NARCUSI Road,
- 26:03Speaker 4: you know, little old Narcusi.
- 26:06Speaker 2: What's brand to see here? What's crazy about that is
- 26:08Speaker 2: they built, they built, literally a new city of Orlando.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Did that? Isn't that word that just got knew? That
- 26:13Speaker 2: new annexation for Orange County. Isn't that one of the
- 26:16Speaker 2: areas like Lakenna area? I believe so it's a two
- 26:18Speaker 2: lane cow road that's been going out there, this major
- 26:22Speaker 2: facility for the longest time. It's so insane.
- 26:25Speaker 4: Well, NARCUSI is a crucial north south corridor in the area,
- 26:28Speaker 4: and traffic officials say the daily vehicle count exceeds the
- 26:32Speaker 4: road's capacity. I'm sure officials hope their new toll road project,
- 26:36Speaker 4: State Road five point thirty four will offer relief. However,
- 26:40Speaker 4: it won't be completed for several years. All right, this
- 26:44Speaker 4: is a troubling sign for sea life. Some dead dolphins
- 26:49Speaker 4: are showing signs of Alzheimer's like disease. A study of
- 26:54Speaker 4: the brains of twenty bottlenose dolphins that washed ashore along
- 26:57Speaker 4: Florida's Indian River Lagoon had high concentrates of a deadly chemical.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Experts say that chemical is scarring their brains in a
- 27:05Speaker 4: way that resembles the brain of a human patient who
- 27:08Speaker 4: has Alzheimer's.
- 27:09Speaker 5: Wow.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Really, it's interesting. Now.
- 27:11Speaker 4: The bacteria is found in blue green algae blooms and
- 27:15Speaker 4: are highly toxic to brain regions related to memory, thinking,
- 27:18Speaker 4: and communication. The toxin levels are extremely high during peak
- 27:23Speaker 4: LGA season. And of course this is again just part
- 27:26Speaker 4: of that push to clean up the Indian River Lagoon
- 27:28Speaker 4: and protect the.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Sea life that lives there.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Wow, it's crazy because you don't want to be a
- 27:32Speaker 4: parent like this.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Next couple, I hate it when you say stuff like
- 27:36Speaker 2: that and then look at me the way you just
- 27:38Speaker 2: looked at me. Wow. I know it's going to be
- 27:41Speaker 2: really bad. Well, it's it's all in context.
- 27:44Speaker 5: Jimmy nuanced Jimmy.
- 27:46Speaker 4: A Texas couple is accused of leaving their six month
- 27:50Speaker 4: old baby on a Florida beach for nearly an hour.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Oh I saw the story.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Witnesses found the child under a tent on Miramar Beach
- 27:58Speaker 4: and stayed there until a alreadys arrived. The couple, identified
- 28:03Speaker 4: as Brian and Sarah Wilkes from Houston, admitted to leaving
- 28:06Speaker 4: their child and simply losing track of time. They and
- 28:08Speaker 4: their three other children, took a walk along the beach,
- 28:11Speaker 4: didn't bring their cell phone, said it was the baby's
- 28:13Speaker 4: nap time, so they just left.
- 28:14Speaker 3: The baby being.
- 28:17Speaker 4: The baby and its siblings were taken into state custody.
- 28:20Speaker 3: Boy, that beach vacation ended a lot differently than you
- 28:23Speaker 3: expected it.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Well, I would love is close caption television footage of
- 28:28Speaker 2: as they're walking back to the tent and they see like.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Eight cops, oh, witnesses.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I want to see that dude's soul fall out of
- 28:36Speaker 2: his ass as he watches as he walks into what
- 28:40Speaker 2: he knows is going to be a very bad year. Yah,
- 28:47Speaker 2: you know you're eating sand.
- 28:48Speaker 4: The parents were charged with child neglect and the kids
- 28:51Speaker 4: were held in DCF custody until relatives could travel here
- 28:54Speaker 4: from Texas.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Wow, man, yeah, unbelievable.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Yeah again, they.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Said they lost track of time they walked away, and
- 29:00Speaker 2: it was like forty five minutes to an hour. Imagine
- 29:02Speaker 2: that when you just come to you come too and
- 29:06Speaker 2: you just realize os, Well.
- 29:08Speaker 4: I'm thinking, Okay, I understand wanting to take a walk
- 29:11Speaker 4: along the beach with your other children, but if you're
- 29:13Speaker 4: not going to take a cell phone with you and
- 29:15Speaker 4: you've got three other kids, then one parent stays behind
- 29:17Speaker 4: with the infant.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Or you know, you leave the youngest kid back there
- 29:20Speaker 2: to watch the other youngest kid. Everybody knows that that's
- 29:24Speaker 2: the move. Yeah, you leave your two year old to
- 29:26Speaker 2: watch your six month old pre dial nine one one
- 29:29Speaker 2: and you say, push the pretty red button if that
- 29:31Speaker 2: one stops breathing. Everybody knows that. In Houston, I think
- 29:35Speaker 2: it's low and.
- 29:36Speaker 3: You wonder why the judgmentals stare.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Finally, police in southern California have arrested a suspected package
- 29:42Speaker 4: thief who's earned an amusing moniker. The Irvine Police Department
- 29:47Speaker 4: arrested Jacob Daniel Rodriguez of Santa Ana this week. Officers
- 29:51Speaker 4: called him Postal Malone because of his vague resemblance to
- 29:55Speaker 4: the music star post Malone, along with plenty of tattoos
- 29:59Speaker 4: on his own face. Officer say Rodriguez is responsible for
- 30:03Speaker 4: several package thefts from an apartment complex and Irvine. Wow
- 30:08Speaker 4: postal Malone. Yeah, Hey, if he's lucky like the guy
- 30:11Speaker 4: in Florida with all his face tattoos, maybe he'll get
- 30:14Speaker 4: a spot in gta's next video game.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Is it what Happened?
- 30:16Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 30:17Speaker 6: Remember the Florida Yeah, that was hysterical Florida, Florida Joker,
- 30:22Speaker 6: Florida Joker. So the update to that, this is the
- 30:25Speaker 6: funniest part about that. So he did GTA drop the
- 30:27Speaker 6: trailer for Grand Theft Auto six that's coming out in May. Ye,
- 30:30Speaker 6: if you're selling a PS five Holarts boy, want the
- 30:33Speaker 6: one with a hard drive and the extra memory, we
- 30:35Speaker 6: could make a deal. That's neither here nor there. So
- 30:37Speaker 6: that guy in the trailer for the video game, yep,
- 30:40Speaker 6: there's a character in there and it looks like the
- 30:41Speaker 6: Florida Joker. Right, So the dude somebody got in his
- 30:45Speaker 6: hair announces that he's gonna suegra a Rockstar, rocks Star.
- 30:50Speaker 6: He's going to assue them. He wanted like one point
- 30:53Speaker 6: two million, this that whatever, right exactly, And then it
- 30:55Speaker 6: appears at one of his more sober, non drug taking
- 30:58Speaker 6: friends whispered in his ears like, bro, that is from
- 31:01Speaker 6: your arrest. That's public domain. You don't get to copyright that.
- 31:07Speaker 6: So he came back over the top and he's like, hey,
- 31:10Speaker 6: you know what, I'm gonna take my lawsuit back, but
- 31:12Speaker 6: I'm gonna let GTA know. Hey, if you need to
- 31:15Speaker 6: voice the character. I want to I want to work
- 31:18Speaker 6: in partnership with you, guys, was the latest update all
- 31:21Speaker 6: that story.
- 31:21Speaker 2: I love that. Oh I can't do it, my bad guys.
- 31:26Speaker 2: You guys want to work together. I mean I know
- 31:30Speaker 2: just eight minutes ago one and a half million from you,
- 31:32Speaker 2: but right now I want to work together. I do
- 31:35Speaker 2: a voice over for Pizza exactly.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Let's just be friends either way.
- 31:41Speaker 4: That concludes your JCS NEWSROUN.

- 32:10Speaker 4: If not texts, say either that or it's something I
- 32:13Speaker 4: forgot to take out in the log.
- 32:17Speaker 5: I don't have a yacht.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, there's a say.
- 32:19Speaker 6: You know what you want to? You want to play?
- 32:21Speaker 6: Give me the parameters because do I play a song
- 32:23Speaker 6: for you?
- 32:23Speaker 2: So here's what Jack usually does Sinker sale. Basically, he
- 32:26Speaker 2: plays a song and we decide whether or not it
- 32:29Speaker 2: is you got rock or not? All right? I got you,
- 32:31Speaker 2: all right, I'll do this while you do that, all right,
- 32:32Speaker 2: So we'll do a little impromptu here. What do you have?
- 32:34Speaker 2: Ember's only coming up in a few minutes, and Rosen
- 32:37Speaker 2: is here from Harry Sipp and Savor and they were cooking.
- 32:39Speaker 2: It's so funny because we have a way you get
- 32:41Speaker 2: in the building where you send a text out basically
- 32:43Speaker 2: when you get into the lobby and it lets everybody
- 32:44Speaker 2: know that you're here. And as I was texting or
- 32:48Speaker 2: you did you get into the studio, I smelled it
- 32:51Speaker 2: wafting through the doors because we're about to enjoy some
- 32:54Speaker 2: great food from Harry Sipp and Savor for that fall
- 32:56Speaker 2: of it coming up next Saturday.
- 32:57Speaker 3: With tickets that you can. I think there's still tickets
- 33:00Speaker 3: to fail.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Actually to find out from Adrian where we are on that,
- 33:02Speaker 2: because usually these things sell out, you know, to the
- 33:04Speaker 2: point where we only have like maybe twenty or thirty
- 33:06Speaker 2: tickets to sell. So we'll tell you more about that
- 33:09Speaker 2: in a second. We do have them outside cooking right now,
- 33:10Speaker 2: and I've been telling you about that menu, and I'll
- 33:12Speaker 2: tell you more here in a few minutes.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Whish we had smell of visionary? I really did, all right,
- 33:16Speaker 3: did it?
- 33:17Speaker 5: So? Do I tell you anything about the song?
- 33:19Speaker 2: Or I just Usually after that intro, the song will
- 33:22Speaker 2: just start playing, ok, all right, let he.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Rip, all right?
- 33:31Speaker 2: Although now close your eyes a boat time, let's drift.
- 33:37Speaker 9: This rock got the road.
- 33:41Speaker 7: Road and made my good away.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Wow you have there, angel. One of the things about
- 33:49Speaker 2: the singer sails Is is jack Is has actually been
- 33:53Speaker 2: pretty good at finding a song that really rides the
- 33:56Speaker 2: fence on whether or not if it's too.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Up the night.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Is this a spins rider? I mean to me, this
- 34:02Speaker 2: is like a home run rock song. Note up for you.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Oh absolutely yeah.
- 34:07Speaker 4: I already got the stink face on and everything.
- 34:11Speaker 6: A couple of cold beers and yeah this happened.
- 34:15Speaker 5: Just chilling.
- 34:16Speaker 3: You're at that sandbar with everybody else's.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Boat grabbing an ass the whole time. That's what you do.
- 34:26Speaker 6: For people that want to know. This is a climax.
- 34:28Speaker 6: Blues band crack Is couldn't get it right.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, and then keep it going with the course
- 34:33Speaker 2: is very cool. The corse gonna smooths out? Oh yeah,
- 34:36Speaker 2: this is when the pantings come off right, here, right here,
- 34:39Speaker 2: right here, right here, right here. Oh yeah, that's good.
- 34:49Speaker 5: A couple of real quick toots and a beer and
- 34:51Speaker 5: you're where you go.
- 34:54Speaker 3: I want to party with you.
- 34:57Speaker 2: That sure, we're sailing it on Friday. Singers Hell brought
- 35:01Speaker 2: to you by your good friends over at Core Flooring Group.
- 35:03Speaker 2: That's a Core Flooring and they're awesome people. So go
- 35:06Speaker 2: up there and grab some flooring from Core Flooring.
- 35:08Speaker 4: Not only that, you mentioned Jack's name. You'll get fifty
- 35:10Speaker 4: dollars off. And Corey is such a cool guy that
- 35:12Speaker 4: he also donates when you hire him to a pet
- 35:15Speaker 4: rescue here in Central Florida. A great business to spend
- 35:19Speaker 4: your money with.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Absolutely, thanks Corey. We appreciate that. Corey, thanks for sponsoring
- 35:22Speaker 2: sinker sale. We'll do Embers only here in just one
- 35:25Speaker 2: second of man, I can't get over that smell.
- 35:27Speaker 1: I know.
- 35:27Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 35:28Speaker 2: I hope you like poork, yes, And I hope you
- 35:31Speaker 2: like scallops. I hope you like little cocktails, little pumpkin pies,
- 35:35Speaker 2: all of those things. God almighty, did you see the
- 35:37Speaker 2: cocktails they're making. I did not cinnamon toast crunch martini.
- 35:43Speaker 5: I'm in.
- 35:45Speaker 2: A passion fruit Rosemary my tie.
- 35:48Speaker 4: And again, these are all cocktails that they pair with
- 35:51Speaker 4: the dishes. So when you get your tickets to next
- 35:53Speaker 4: week's event, you're gonna get.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Six courses and six cocktails for like eighty bucks, which.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Find me a restaurant camp anywhere.
- 36:02Speaker 2: I went to a noodle place the other night and
- 36:03Speaker 2: dropped eighty dollars. I'm not kidding. I went to a
- 36:05Speaker 2: Ramen place the other night, Ramen for my wife and
- 36:08Speaker 2: I an appetizer, two beers, eighty bucks. There were five
- 36:12Speaker 2: or six cocktails sick. There's a reception cocktail as well.
- 36:15Speaker 2: On top of everything else you get, there's a damn
- 36:17Speaker 2: reception cocktail. They get your hammered before you even get
- 36:20Speaker 2: in the joint.
- 36:20Speaker 4: So it's seven cocktails kinda six courses.
- 36:23Speaker 2: But what's really cool.
- 36:26Speaker 4: But what's really cool is the way that Chef tell
- 36:29Speaker 4: Luna and his crew collaborate on these dishes, and they
- 36:32Speaker 4: pair these cocktails up perfectly with the dish that they're
- 36:35Speaker 4: serving it with, so that martini is going to go
- 36:37Speaker 4: really well with that particular dish was paired with. I
- 36:41Speaker 4: just think that that adds to the experience. I'm normally
- 36:43Speaker 4: not one who likes to have alcohol with my food.
- 36:46Speaker 2: I'm not really that you're just wine.
- 36:48Speaker 3: I don't like any but I have to tell you
- 36:49Speaker 3: the cocktail.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Thing I had to get used to, but it actually
- 36:52Speaker 2: is the it's these pairing dimers that really did it
- 36:55Speaker 2: for me. Beer has always actually been very good with food.
- 36:58Speaker 2: I mean even the carbonation, which kind of throws me
- 37:00Speaker 2: for a loop sometimes. And you know, the thing is
- 37:02Speaker 2: what cocktails is alcohol can really overpower, especially delicate proteins
- 37:06Speaker 2: like scallops and things like that fish. But man, they
- 37:09Speaker 2: really know what they're doing. Eddrington is the company that's
- 37:12Speaker 2: bringing in they're management company for like McCallen, London Dry
- 37:15Speaker 2: or London Dry Gen and other spirits as well, and
- 37:18Speaker 2: that's what they're gonna be using to make these cocktails with.
- 37:21Speaker 2: And they do just a very very good job. And
- 37:23Speaker 2: the crazy thing is, and I will tell you as
- 37:25Speaker 2: a bit of a cook and being around Tella doesn't drink.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Tell a Luna does not drink. So he's able to
- 37:32Speaker 2: create all these pairings without. He will have his chefs
- 37:34Speaker 2: taste the alcohol and say, well, you know, what's the
- 37:36Speaker 2: predominant flavor in that, what's the predominant what do you
- 37:39Speaker 2: taste most of and then he'll build the dish around that,
- 37:41Speaker 2: and then they will kind of taste test it until
- 37:43Speaker 2: it's ready to go. And they work on this menu
- 37:45Speaker 2: for literally three or four weeks before they break it out.
- 37:48Speaker 2: They will change it four or five times before they're
- 37:49Speaker 2: satisfied with it.
- 37:51Speaker 5: And it's a good time.
- 37:52Speaker 6: Man, years ago, when I got to go in the
- 37:54Speaker 6: courtesy of you, that was probably one of the most
- 37:58Speaker 6: fun And if you're like food forward kinda and you're
- 38:01Speaker 6: looking for a little bit of an adventure, it's absolutely
- 38:03Speaker 6: fits the power.
- 38:05Speaker 2: And the cool thing is, too, is even though you
- 38:06Speaker 2: don't know the people you're sitting at the table with,
- 38:08Speaker 2: this is a very cruise experience.
- 38:10Speaker 5: Yea.
- 38:10Speaker 2: By the time, I mean it's fifteen minutes into that place,
- 38:13Speaker 2: you can't hear yourself think because people are just striking
- 38:15Speaker 2: up conversations and it's like the old days, like the
- 38:18Speaker 2: old days, no phones around. I mean, I'm serious, it's awesome.
- 38:21Speaker 2: So all right, let's do members only real quick.
- 38:24Speaker 8: Now it's time to explore the world of cigars, spirits
- 38:29Speaker 8: and other things that make life worth living. This is
- 38:33Speaker 8: Embers Only.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Nimbers Only, brought to you by our good friends over
- 38:36Speaker 2: Corona Cigar Company. I love these guys. You will as well.
- 38:39Speaker 2: These lounges are just absolutely beautiful downtown Heathrow, San Lake
- 38:43Speaker 2: Road here in town Sarasota and Tampa on the West coast.
- 38:46Speaker 2: You can always find them online at coronasigar dot com.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Of course, they will send you this order here if
- 38:51Speaker 2: you would like to get one of these cigars. And
- 38:53Speaker 2: I will tell you this cigar of the week is
- 38:55Speaker 2: one of the legendary smokes over there. I think is
- 38:57Speaker 2: actually one of the first boxes we ever we ever
- 39:00Speaker 2: reviewed here. It's the Corona Dominican Selection Natural Robusto. Now,
- 39:05Speaker 2: I say this a lot, and it's important to know
- 39:07Speaker 2: and the people who are starting into the cigar world
- 39:11Speaker 2: don't be slighted by their private label cigars. A lot
- 39:15Speaker 2: of companies will produce a private label cigar, and it
- 39:17Speaker 2: really is a second it's a cigar that just didn't
- 39:20Speaker 2: make it into the normal boxes. They'll put their label
- 39:21Speaker 2: on it and ship it out there trying to make
- 39:23Speaker 2: a few bucks on it. They do not do that here.
- 39:25Speaker 2: That's not how they roll these cigars. The Corona cigars
- 39:28Speaker 2: are premium cigars, and I will tell you there's at
- 39:30Speaker 2: least two their twenty acres, and they're nicerrogues that I
- 39:33Speaker 2: would put up against any of the private label brands
- 39:35Speaker 2: out there that you've known forever. They're that high quality.
- 39:39Speaker 2: This is the Corona Dominican selection natural Robusto. Robusto is
- 39:42Speaker 2: my favorite size of cigar as well. And as most
- 39:45Speaker 2: factories try to blend his cigars that's going to knock
- 39:47Speaker 2: you over. They want to create that really bold cigar
- 39:50Speaker 2: so they stand out in the world of you know,
- 39:51Speaker 2: seasoned cigar smokers. That is not how Corona looks at it.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Most people do like mild to medium cigars, and that
- 39:58Speaker 2: is exactly what this is. Creamy, smooth, buttery, super approachable.
- 40:02Speaker 2: If you're looking for an entry level cigar that isn't
- 40:06Speaker 2: a flavored cigar, let me direct you to this one
- 40:09Speaker 2: because this one absolutely kills it. Connecticut Shade wrapper got
- 40:13Speaker 2: the beautiful Dominican tobacco inside for the binder and the filler,
- 40:17Speaker 2: and it just is a really easy cigar to smoke,
- 40:20Speaker 2: to enjoy a couple of times a day easily, and
- 40:23Speaker 2: at this price you can't beat. At only seventy nine
- 40:25Speaker 2: to ninety five a box at thirty eight percent off retail,
- 40:28Speaker 2: so grab a box today. It's the Corona Dominican Selection
- 40:31Speaker 2: Natural Robusto and it is your cigar of the week.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Big thanks, guys, appreciate that.
- 40:37Speaker 3: Thank you Corona.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Coronacigar dot com. If you want to order that outside
- 40:40Speaker 2: of the area, they'll gladly take care of you. All
- 40:42Speaker 2: right for us seven nine one six to take a
- 40:43Speaker 2: little break, will come back. We do have another keyword
- 40:46Speaker 2: for you here at the top of the hour. Back
- 40:47Speaker 2: in a second with more than Jim Colbert show.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Man.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Yeah, no, Hi, Welcome back to the Jim Colber Show,
- 41:03Speaker 2: no prime time kitchen today. My bad, I didn't tell
- 41:05Speaker 2: you Fayaz was not able to be with us today.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Oh man, oh man, that's so good.
- 41:14Speaker 3: God really bummed out.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Welcome back to Jim Colber Show, Real Radio one or
- 41:17Speaker 2: four point one. Your four o'clock keyword is win. W
- 41:19Speaker 2: I N Go to Real Radio dot FM and send
- 41:22Speaker 2: that away for your chance of one thousand bucks. Win. Guys,
- 41:25Speaker 2: that is your four o'clock keyword. Which are the best
- 41:27Speaker 2: good luck?
- 41:27Speaker 3: Yeah, we hope you win.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm Jim. There's deb Hello Angel here as well.
- 41:32Speaker 6: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 41:36Speaker 3: He almost angel. You look like you're in a trance.
- 41:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I am, you are.
- 41:41Speaker 2: That's incredible. So Harry's something. Savor is about to come
- 41:44Speaker 2: in to here next segment to talk about the event
- 41:46Speaker 2: we have coming up next Saturday, which is this. We've
- 41:49Speaker 2: been doing this for six or seven years. Three times
- 41:52Speaker 2: a year we go out to the Rosen Hotel, the
- 41:55Speaker 2: Rosen Center Plaza.
- 41:56Speaker 4: There Harry's pull side bar and grill over at the Rosens, right.
- 41:59Speaker 2: And Chftel Aluna mixes up a six course dinner. They
- 42:04Speaker 2: are usually paired up with either wines, cocktails or beers.
- 42:07Speaker 5: Right.
- 42:07Speaker 2: They make a partnership with a distributor out there. We've
- 42:10Speaker 2: done it with Crooked Can. We've done it with many
- 42:12Speaker 2: wine companies. I think Digress here in town provided some
- 42:15Speaker 2: wines to pair it up. This is Eddrington Spirits, which
- 42:18Speaker 2: is like McCallan Liquors or Whiskeys and London Dry fog
- 42:23Speaker 2: Gin or London Dry Gin, plus some others as well.
- 42:26Speaker 2: They'll build cocktails to provide with these with these meals
- 42:30Speaker 2: and it's all literally custom made for that evening. I've
- 42:33Speaker 2: been to a bunch of them, right, I will tell
- 42:35Speaker 2: you I just tried something that I never thought would
- 42:38Speaker 2: work as a matter of fact, when I saw it on
- 42:40Speaker 2: the menu. And this has happened a number of times.
- 42:42Speaker 2: That's this is really where the genius of Cheftel Aluna
- 42:45Speaker 2: comes into play. I've seen some of these dishes he's
- 42:48Speaker 2: put on there and I'm like, that ain't gonna work.
- 42:50Speaker 2: And I'm like that ain't gonna work. I mean, you
- 42:52Speaker 2: know you, I've tasted some of this stuff before and
- 42:54Speaker 2: I'm like, that is not gonna go with that. I mean,
- 42:55Speaker 2: it's not gonna work. And inevitably, of course, I get
- 42:57Speaker 2: proven wrong every single time, and I'll I'll tell you
- 43:00Speaker 2: the case for that. Today was the pumpkin spiced scallop.
- 43:03Speaker 2: When I saw that on the menu, I was like, okay,
- 43:06Speaker 2: for one thing, Scalps are one of the most expensive
- 43:07Speaker 2: proteins you can.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Buy right now.
- 43:09Speaker 2: They are ridiculously expensive right now, like beef, like crazy, right.
- 43:15Speaker 2: So I just had the plate of food brought.
- 43:16Speaker 5: Over to me.
- 43:18Speaker 2: It's out there on the out there on the desk
- 43:20Speaker 2: just outside the studio, and I smelled the scalp and go, well,
- 43:23Speaker 2: that smells good. Let's see pumpkin spice on a scallop
- 43:28Speaker 2: and I will tell you, guys, that is one of
- 43:30Speaker 2: the more unique flavors I've ever had in my life.
- 43:32Speaker 2: That is a matter of fact. The liquor distributor was
- 43:36Speaker 2: out there. He was bringing the cocktails over and he goes,
- 43:37Speaker 2: wait till you try that scallop. And I'm like, maybe
- 43:40Speaker 2: this kind of know what he's talking about. And apparently
- 43:44Speaker 2: he does. And then when I tried the scallop, he
- 43:46Speaker 2: was right. Now, as good as that was, I was like,
- 43:49Speaker 2: let's move around the plate because usually bring is smaller
- 43:51Speaker 2: plates that are they brought just one big plate this
- 43:54Speaker 2: time and kind of put everything on there so it'd
- 43:55Speaker 2: be easier to kind of manage for us. Right, So oxtail.
- 43:59Speaker 2: I made a chili one time in competition for oxtail,
- 44:03Speaker 2: and it got slammed because people could not get past
- 44:06Speaker 2: the idea that it was oxtail, not understanding how much
- 44:09Speaker 2: it tastes like beef.
- 44:10Speaker 5: Right, it's so delicious. I love it.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Yeah, white people don't know. They just don't understand. So
- 44:20Speaker 2: I was like, I'm gonna go out there and I'm
- 44:21Speaker 2: gonna make an oxtail chili. I want something to stand out.
- 44:23Speaker 2: That was at the time that Russ was making like
- 44:25Speaker 2: kangaroo chili and all these other chilies. I wanted to
- 44:27Speaker 2: kind of slide into that unique protein world and see
- 44:30Speaker 2: how it went. I made it. It was delicious, but
- 44:32Speaker 2: people just could not get past the idea that it
- 44:34Speaker 2: was oxtail. Right fast forward to like eight minutes ago,
- 44:39Speaker 2: he makes an oxtail RIGATONI. So what you have is
- 44:41Speaker 2: a piece of seared, rendered braised oxtail on a beautiful
- 44:47Speaker 2: bed of pasta with a gorgeous, super simple tomato sauce.
- 44:52Speaker 2: You couldn't, it couldn't. This is a dish that you
- 44:54Speaker 2: would see pretty much in probably two thirds of New
- 44:57Speaker 2: York houses in during on you know, when Sunday sauce
- 45:01Speaker 2: is going on. Oh yeah, instead of meatballs, they tried
- 45:04Speaker 2: the oxtail, And I'm telling you, I took one bite
- 45:06Speaker 2: of it and it dropped me to my knees. I'm like,
- 45:08Speaker 2: that is so rich. The beef or the meat is
- 45:11Speaker 2: so rich and so flavorful, and when you pair it
- 45:15Speaker 2: up with that great acidic tomato sauce, it is absolutely
- 45:19Speaker 2: mind blowingly good.
- 45:21Speaker 4: No. I just looked over at you, Angel, just to
- 45:22Speaker 4: make sure you were still sitting there, because if I
- 45:24Speaker 4: needed to jump in and be producer as well. I
- 45:27Speaker 4: just wanted a little bit of a heads up.
- 45:29Speaker 2: So good, I mean so freaking good. You just forget
- 45:34Speaker 2: how good food can be at the fingers of somebody
- 45:37Speaker 2: who really knows what they're doing. And that's just a
- 45:39Speaker 2: couple of things. We'll tell you by hearing a few
- 45:40Speaker 2: seconds when these has come in.
- 45:42Speaker 4: And not only that, it's such a great value it is.
- 45:44Speaker 4: It's such a great value for the money. Eighty dollars
- 45:48Speaker 4: a ticket. You're getting six courses, six cocktails, plus a
- 45:51Speaker 4: welcoming cocktail.
- 45:53Speaker 3: It's outside, the weather.
- 45:55Speaker 4: Couldn't be more beautiful to be able to get your
- 45:57Speaker 4: eat and your drink on, you know, beautiful Rosen Center
- 46:00Speaker 4: at Harry's pool sidebar and grill.
- 46:02Speaker 2: That's right by the way. If you come from outside
- 46:04Speaker 2: of the area, they have stay in you know, stay
- 46:06Speaker 2: in play packages there at the hotel where you can
- 46:08Speaker 2: kind of get a room, come down, enjoy the evening,
- 46:10Speaker 2: kind of hang out here in central Florida for a
- 46:12Speaker 2: little bit and then and then kind of enjoy yourself.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Go to the pool, go to the spy.
- 46:16Speaker 2: We'll have those guys in here in just a few minutes.
- 46:18Speaker 2: So Lakeland, Florida. There's a twenty four year old Lakeland
- 46:21Speaker 2: dur It's one of the youngest candidates ever running for mayor.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Over there. What makes Casey or what makes Caitlin case
- 46:27Speaker 2: Gracie Kramer unique is is she is? She works in Hooters,
- 46:33Speaker 2: all right. She graduated from Bartow High School. She's running
- 46:36Speaker 2: from mayor because she says she wants to challenge the
- 46:37Speaker 2: idea of what leadership looks like. And she goes it
- 46:42Speaker 2: doesn't always come with just a title. It comes from
- 46:44Speaker 2: hard work and grit comes from reaching out to those
- 46:45Speaker 2: in the community and listening to people first and understanding
- 46:48Speaker 2: what they think is working and what they think we
- 46:51Speaker 2: could change for the better. Right, She's no stranger hard work.
- 46:54Speaker 2: She says, she's an hourly manager and bartender at Hooters.
- 46:57Speaker 2: The job has pushed her become the best version of
- 46:59Speaker 2: her she and it's so funny. I love this narrative
- 47:03Speaker 2: because obviously there's preconceived notions about girls or people who
- 47:07Speaker 2: work at Hooters, especially the young ladies. Right, yeah, right,
- 47:10Speaker 2: But she says Hooters has done so much for me.
- 47:12Speaker 2: It's the reason I own a home. It's the reason
- 47:14Speaker 2: I bought my house at twenty years old. The reason
- 47:16Speaker 2: I own a car, the reason I can put myself
- 47:18Speaker 2: through college. It's the reason I have a bachelor's degree
- 47:21Speaker 2: in biology.
- 47:21Speaker 4: Actually, no, that's because you, girlfriend. It sounds like you
- 47:25Speaker 4: would have achieved that no matter what the job was.
- 47:27Speaker 4: You just happen to be working at Hooters.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Her top priority, she says, if she becomes mayor better infrastructure,
- 47:32Speaker 2: has said, We've been having troubles with flooding, traffic, and roadways.
- 47:36Speaker 2: I want to make sure everybody feels safe and comfortable
- 47:38Speaker 2: in their home. Wants to focus on water quality issues
- 47:40Speaker 2: and how to tackle their current issues with affordable housing.
- 47:42Speaker 2: All of those strike pretty easy. You wonder how a
- 47:45Speaker 2: twenty four year old girl, and regardless of what she
- 47:48Speaker 2: does for a living, you know how much life experience
- 47:51Speaker 2: she has. Let me ask you, do you guys think
- 47:52Speaker 2: that needs to happen? I mean, do you believe that
- 47:54Speaker 2: a politician needs to have a lot of life experience
- 47:57Speaker 2: to solve issues and create a better life for people
- 48:00Speaker 2: around them and their communities?
- 48:02Speaker 5: You know what?
- 48:03Speaker 6: It all depends on the community, right, Like, uh, just
- 48:05Speaker 6: try to watch a quick reel on her and being
- 48:07Speaker 6: in Lakeland and that be like it seems like she's
- 48:10Speaker 6: really in tune with her community and she's able to
- 48:13Speaker 6: really engage them and talk to them. And so that
- 48:16Speaker 6: if she's listening to them and she's able to execute
- 48:20Speaker 6: and help them, it seems like that would be like
- 48:23Speaker 6: because she's of the people, you.
- 48:24Speaker 5: Know what I mean.
- 48:25Speaker 6: But I but I can't imagine you know, let's say
- 48:30Speaker 6: her running in a city that's let's say the Siami Miami, Orlando, Orlando.
- 48:35Speaker 6: And I'm saying because then at that point you're dealing with, uh,
- 48:39Speaker 6: let's say, bigger and more diverse kind of community.
- 48:43Speaker 5: You know, but we know, like.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Max, how old is Maxwell Frost? I mean he's not
- 48:47Speaker 2: that old, right, Maxwell Frost. He's in He's in the
- 48:49Speaker 2: early thirties, all right, But we know.
- 48:51Speaker 6: I say that about her with like, you know, just
- 48:55Speaker 6: a couple more years and she could probably do the
- 48:57Speaker 6: same thing in in a bigger city.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean she I mean she grew up in
- 49:00Speaker 2: the Toe, you know, Bartow Man, she would have Bartow
- 49:02Speaker 2: High School. I mean, you can't know Pole count any
- 49:04Speaker 2: better if you grow up in the Toe, I mean,
- 49:06Speaker 2: because I mean that's that place is you know. I mean,
- 49:08Speaker 2: she's got to that's a very that's a very Pole
- 49:11Speaker 2: County scenario over there. You know, I wonder what party
- 49:13Speaker 2: she's running on her It doesn't really say what party
- 49:16Speaker 2: party she's part of, but it is an interesting thing
- 49:20Speaker 2: off rip. Yeah. Yeah, it's interesting to see if people
- 49:22Speaker 2: would vote for somebody who is young, blonde and a
- 49:26Speaker 2: Hooters employee, and if they would discount her opinions just
- 49:29Speaker 2: because of what she does for a living as opposed
- 49:31Speaker 2: to listening to what she says and how she plans
- 49:33Speaker 2: on implementing these plans.
- 49:34Speaker 4: And I think that's the operative word, is listening. If
- 49:37Speaker 4: you're going to walk into that situation with your preconceived
- 49:40Speaker 4: notions or assumptions that you won't allow to change, then
- 49:43Speaker 4: I don't think any candidate unless you know what I'm saying.
- 49:46Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, this is really progressive in the sense of,
- 49:49Speaker 6: like I'm already interested in the sense of young person. Yes,
- 49:53Speaker 6: new new ideas, Yes, different way to look at things. Yes,
- 49:57Speaker 6: those are all things that right now if we need yeah,
- 50:00Speaker 6: if we look at our governments across the board, just
- 50:03Speaker 6: you know, you know, from local to state to I
- 50:07Speaker 6: would love just that the ability to infuse younger mentalities,
- 50:12Speaker 6: younger points of view, because there's way you know, across
- 50:15Speaker 6: the board, there's just way too many career politicians and
- 50:18Speaker 6: way too many guys that kind of get stuck in
- 50:21Speaker 6: their ways, and it doesn't seem like there's any negotiation
- 50:24Speaker 6: there anything we.
- 50:24Speaker 2: See that go from national politics all the way down
- 50:26Speaker 2: to local county, state politics, because I mean, I just
- 50:29Speaker 2: read a piec yesterday about you know, a lot of
- 50:31Speaker 2: ranking Democrats are wondering when they're gonna be able to
- 50:32Speaker 2: get rid of the Schumers and Pelosis, and you know,
- 50:35Speaker 2: you look at what Republicans have done. You know, they've
- 50:37Speaker 2: been able to kind of motivate a very young, younger
- 50:40Speaker 2: audience somehow.
- 50:41Speaker 4: So wait, don't talk about them right now. They really
- 50:43Speaker 4: prefer that you don't mention the young Republicans right now.
- 50:50Speaker 2: A couple of hundred. But I wonder if older people
- 50:52Speaker 2: in an established kind of probably you could assume pretty
- 50:56Speaker 2: Red County over there in Polk County, are going to
- 51:00Speaker 2: to kind of look at a young lady with this
- 51:02Speaker 2: type of provenance and say, you know, what could you
- 51:04Speaker 2: possibly know about what I need in my life? As
- 51:07Speaker 2: opposed to like deb said, and like I was saying,
- 51:09Speaker 2: just listening to what she has to say, how are
- 51:11Speaker 2: you going to fund these programs you want to go?
- 51:13Speaker 2: You know, what do you plan on doing? How are
- 51:14Speaker 2: you going to reach across the aisle to make life
- 51:15Speaker 2: better for everybody? D R R And I think people
- 51:19Speaker 2: with good progressive ideas like that and not progressive in
- 51:21Speaker 2: the sense like left LINGI just ideas that kind of
- 51:24Speaker 2: buck the norm of what we've done for so long
- 51:27Speaker 2: to no avail. Well, it's her world.
- 51:30Speaker 4: We're on the other side of the Bell curve, right,
- 51:33Speaker 4: So for old people to decide, well, I don't know
- 51:36Speaker 4: you're going to do. I understand, I understand. But at
- 51:39Speaker 4: the same time, someone's going to have to take up
- 51:42Speaker 4: the mantle after all of these older politicians are out
- 51:45Speaker 4: of the game. And it's lovely to see people from
- 51:48Speaker 4: all ages, from Bartow from Maxwell Frost to it's great
- 51:52Speaker 4: to see young people not be so disenfranchised from the
- 51:55Speaker 4: process that they actually want to be a part of
- 51:57Speaker 4: it and a part of the solution.
- 51:59Speaker 2: It's their world absolutely.
- 52:00Speaker 6: Maxil Frost is twenty eight. He got elected at twenty
- 52:03Speaker 6: four to twenty five. Yeah, and then Edgewater community wants
- 52:07Speaker 6: to step up and let you know that their mayor
- 52:09Speaker 6: got elected at eighteen.
- 52:10Speaker 2: That's right, that's right, So look at me. It can't happen.
- 52:13Speaker 3: It should happen in someplace.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Again, you just hope that people are able to look
- 52:17Speaker 2: past her employment because again Hooters, as a rule since
- 52:21Speaker 2: the last like four or five decades, women who work
- 52:23Speaker 2: there don't really get the benefit of the doubt when
- 52:25Speaker 2: it comes to their intellect or their ability to lead,
- 52:27Speaker 2: which you know obviously isn't fair. But it does happen.
- 52:29Speaker 2: That's okay.
- 52:30Speaker 3: Lean into it.
- 52:30Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I lean into it and turn it around
- 52:33Speaker 4: and make it the problem of the other person.
- 52:35Speaker 3: That's something you have to answer for.
- 52:36Speaker 2: Just say, hey, look, if you don't come and vote
- 52:38Speaker 2: for me, I'm gonna call you out as a regular
- 52:40Speaker 2: Oh sorry, mister farmer, I'm gonna need your vote, or
- 52:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna show you my fine.
- 52:45Speaker 4: Oh no, we've got enough of that. I'm gonna need

- 54:14Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 54:15Speaker 2: I don't know about three times a year we slide
- 54:19Speaker 2: out to I drive to the Rosen Center Hotel to
- 54:22Speaker 2: have a really nice meal prepared to prepared for us
- 54:25Speaker 2: by chef Tlaluna. They call him the Harry's Sipin' Saber events.
- 54:29Speaker 2: We've done him now for like six years. They are
- 54:32Speaker 2: very successful and they're very in demand. And there's a
- 54:35Speaker 2: reason why the quality of these products is simply overboard.
- 54:39Speaker 2: The pairings are unbelievable and again they have knocked it
- 54:41Speaker 2: out of the park. Guys, give it up from our
- 54:43Speaker 2: friends for Harry Sipping Saver. What he says, Adrian and
- 54:47Speaker 2: Chef Tello with us today, Adrian, how you doing great?
- 54:50Speaker 2: How are you all doing? Wonderful?
- 54:51Speaker 5: What?
- 54:51Speaker 2: I'm really looking forward to this it Actually I reminded
- 54:54Speaker 2: my wife this morning. I said, hey, don't forget we
- 54:57Speaker 2: have Harry Sipping Saver next week and we can't wait.
- 55:00Speaker 2: She goes, well, what are they doing? And I said,
- 55:02Speaker 2: he said, I said, when you see this mean you
- 55:05Speaker 2: you are going to fall over. It is so good, Chef?
- 55:08Speaker 2: How you doing? You as always goodness? You is always
- 55:13Speaker 2: uh So, today they brought in a few things that
- 55:15Speaker 2: we like to try and pair up with these cocktails.
- 55:17Speaker 2: The cocktails are brought to us by Eddrington uh that
- 55:20Speaker 2: provide a They manage a number of different spirit companies,
- 55:23Speaker 2: McAllen being one, London Drygen is another, and they're using
- 55:27Speaker 2: some of those to create wonderful cocktails. Those are querver
- 55:30Speaker 2: in Tho as well. As a matter of fact, the
- 55:32Speaker 2: reception cocktail is a Jovese a Cuervo blanco pineapple juice, clove,
- 55:37Speaker 2: cinnamon and brown sugar cocktail. I don't even know what
- 55:40Speaker 2: that thing is called the tapetiapinay? Did I get that right?
- 55:44Speaker 10: I think so?
- 55:46Speaker 2: Debach, Yeah, don't laugh at me. I don't care for it,
- 55:51Speaker 2: all right, Chef. Look, you know, one of the most
- 55:53Speaker 2: amazing things since I've known you for like you know,
- 55:56Speaker 2: eight years now, is how you're able to create these
- 55:58Speaker 2: pairings and yet you do not drink alcohol. I was
- 56:01Speaker 2: telling the audience earlier. Of course you have your soux chefs,
- 56:03Speaker 2: your chef's tasted, give you an idea of what is
- 56:07Speaker 2: in there, and then you go off and build a
- 56:09Speaker 2: dish with the protein that you want and pair it up.
- 56:11Speaker 2: And I will tell you, dude, just right before we
- 56:13Speaker 2: came in, I ran in and I and I took
- 56:16Speaker 2: a bite and pair of each one of these things today.
- 56:18Speaker 2: And this dessert one, this dessert one may be the
- 56:23Speaker 2: best one you've ever done. Wow, I'm telling you. This
- 56:26Speaker 2: pumpkin cheesecake with this cinnamon toast crunch martini.
- 56:30Speaker 3: Oh my god, that sounds like breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- 56:33Speaker 2: It's so next level. It's hard to explain. You would
- 56:36Speaker 2: think for a fact that it would be overwhelmingly coiningly sweet,
- 56:40Speaker 2: and it isn't any of those things. Bro, I gotta
- 56:43Speaker 2: tell you that may be the best pairing you ever created.
- 56:46Speaker 2: That it tell it. It's so good, it is so complimentary.
- 56:50Speaker 9: Sood that we want to put that set on the
- 56:52Speaker 9: regular minim.
- 56:52Speaker 2: Are you really really next week?
- 56:54Speaker 9: Yes?
- 56:55Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 56:55Speaker 5: Yes?
- 56:56Speaker 11: We had lots of compliments when we did the tasting,
- 56:58Speaker 11: from the monishments to the cooks on servers.
- 57:02Speaker 9: We decided to put on the menu.
- 57:03Speaker 2: And another one and you told me the story. Right
- 57:05Speaker 2: before we came back in, I said, you know, one
- 57:06Speaker 2: of the unique things is you and I have a
- 57:08Speaker 2: good enough relationship. Or if I see something on this
- 57:10Speaker 2: menum like I don't know, dude, I mean, we'll go
- 57:12Speaker 2: to the shot. I mean, you know better than I do.
- 57:14Speaker 2: You're a chef. I'm not. But when I saw the
- 57:16Speaker 2: pumpkin spiced seared scallops, I really I was like, I
- 57:19Speaker 2: don't know, man, pompcast but people, because we already have
- 57:22Speaker 2: pumpkin on the menu, I was like, are we doing
- 57:23Speaker 2: pumpkin twice? That's really kind of a unique idea. Then
- 57:26Speaker 2: a gentleman from Ed Drington's here and when I walked in.
- 57:29Speaker 2: When I walked into the kitchen, I said, do you
- 57:31Speaker 2: have the cocktails? He said yes, Wait until you eat
- 57:33Speaker 2: that scallop. He didn't even mention his own drinks. He
- 57:36Speaker 2: just said, wait until you have that scallop. Dude. It's
- 57:43Speaker 2: so different.
- 57:44Speaker 4: It is different, and it's very light, and it doesn't
- 57:46Speaker 4: overwhelm the scallop, but it doesn't also take second place
- 57:49Speaker 4: to the scalp.
- 57:50Speaker 12: And that's kind of the point we want it to be.
- 57:52Speaker 12: You take a bite, you have a sip, you take
- 57:54Speaker 12: a bite, you have a sip, and enjoy the pairing
- 57:55Speaker 12: all the way through.
- 57:56Speaker 2: It is so good. And you said, wasn't this This
- 57:58Speaker 2: is okay? So we have a lot of people that
- 57:59Speaker 2: come to these events over and over because they're so good.
- 58:02Speaker 2: It's a lot of repeat customers. And you said it
- 58:04Speaker 2: was one of your repeat customers.
- 58:05Speaker 9: Yes, she asked me.
- 58:06Speaker 11: I don't remember her name, but she asked me, can
- 58:09Speaker 11: you put scallos next time? I'll say yes, But can
- 58:12Speaker 11: you perry with punking? I said, okay, so, and I
- 58:16Speaker 11: tried three different ways, but I like this one better.
- 58:19Speaker 11: The other one was scallowed with punkin purete. But I
- 58:21Speaker 11: want the punking with the scallop. Yea, yeah, yeah, na
- 58:24Speaker 11: a side dish.
- 58:25Speaker 2: And it's so good. And you would think, you know,
- 58:27Speaker 2: scallops and scallops can kind of take on a lot
- 58:29Speaker 2: of different flavors. The cool thing about a scallop is
- 58:31Speaker 2: you can make a bunch of different sauces with it.
- 58:33Speaker 2: And as long as you sear the scallop, well you're
- 58:36Speaker 2: gonna the scalop is gonna really kind of almost assume
- 58:38Speaker 2: a little bit of the flavor from that thing. I
- 58:40Speaker 2: thought that the pumpkin spices would overwhelm this easily. Man.
- 58:44Speaker 2: It's not even close, so.
- 58:45Speaker 9: Not at all. It's not too sweet. It had the
- 58:48Speaker 9: flavor from the punkin so and it is very good.
- 58:51Speaker 2: It's so good. And then then the one that kind
- 58:53Speaker 2: of blew me away. I was telling everybody that, you know,
- 58:55Speaker 2: I've made an oxtail chili in my life for a
- 58:57Speaker 2: competition one time. It did not go over very very
- 59:00Speaker 2: well because although it was very good, it tasted great,
- 59:03Speaker 2: people kind of couldn't get past the oxtail aspect of it, right.
- 59:06Speaker 2: They just couldn't get past it, right. So I get
- 59:09Speaker 2: over there and I look at the plate, and I
- 59:10Speaker 2: look at the tomato sauce, which looks like a really
- 59:13Speaker 2: super basic tomato garlic olive oil, simple, very simple, right,
- 59:18Speaker 2: good pasta. And I'm like, well, let's taste this, and
- 59:20Speaker 2: it just kind of reminded me of why I love
- 59:23Speaker 2: oxtail so much. It's so rich, it's got that if
- 59:26Speaker 2: you take beef and just kind of pump it up
- 59:28Speaker 2: to that next level. That's what oxtail is like. And
- 59:31Speaker 2: with that beautiful red sauce, so delicious.
- 59:33Speaker 9: Dude, thank you, thank you very much.
- 59:35Speaker 2: I mean so delicious and the pairing is absolutely great
- 59:38Speaker 2: as well.
- 59:38Speaker 12: Oh yeah, that clarified milk punch that we're dealing with it,
- 59:40Speaker 12: it's like we turn it into a New York sour.
- 59:42Speaker 10: It's so much fun.
- 59:43Speaker 5: It's so good.
- 59:44Speaker 2: And like when this menu came together, I mean, the
- 59:47Speaker 2: fall menus, is this your favorite time? Like this favorite menu?
- 59:50Speaker 2: The fall menu is your favorite to cooker?
- 59:51Speaker 5: No?
- 59:52Speaker 9: Oh, I don't know. I like more summer menu.
- 59:55Speaker 11: Like summer, you know, being here in Florida, there's small
- 59:58Speaker 11: ingredients available for us.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Yea, yeah, yeah, So what we have for the menu
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: this week is you get this tapachad pina, which is
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: Jose Cuervo pineapple juice, clothes, cinnamon, and brown schuer. That's
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: the reception cocktails. So when you show up around six
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: thirty or so, they'll just be bringing trays of these
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: around while we wait to get into the room and
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: get set up. A really wonderful way to start because
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: the weather is so nice at time of.
- 1:00:19Speaker 10: Year it is, and it's not too heavy.
- 1:00:21Speaker 12: Something nice and refreshing to kick it off while you're
- 1:00:22Speaker 12: waiting for everyone else to arrive.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, yeah, and then right into the very first thing, right,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: off at you get to try this pumpkin spiced seared
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: scallop with beluga lentils and apple salad, which is delicious,
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: and paired up with this lemon cello London Fog martini,
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: which again is a crazy pairing because you're talking about
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: lemon cello martini with pumpkin spice. They're like, there's no way,
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: there's no way that look that tastes good, and it's amazing.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: It works, It works unbelievably well.
- 1:00:49Speaker 12: That was a really fun pairing too, because the London
- 1:00:52Speaker 12: Fog martini is almost when we were making it, the
- 1:00:54Speaker 12: base of it is hanger One lemon vodka, so we
- 1:00:57Speaker 12: we're like, oh gosh, lemon vodka and lemon cello, but
- 1:01:00Speaker 12: don't you add in that Earl Gray syrup.
- 1:01:01Speaker 10: It bounces out so well.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: It really is amazing. That was actually the perring that
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: I thought was one of the more surprising. Not only
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: would did I think the protein would be weird. I
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: thought that parry when I read it would be weird,
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: and I just popped out there and I did it
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: and it was absolutely delicious. Absolutely goes to honey garlic,
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: pork tenderloin, parsonip puree with this beautiful lime, moho sauce,
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: a passion fruit and rosemary. My tie that goes with that,
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: and again another wonderful, delicious pearing perfectly cooked tenderloin. Hey,
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: could you agree with me? Maybe most underrated protein out
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: there is pork tenderloin. Yes, very inexpensive, extremely tender, very
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: easy to cook. More people should eat pork tenderloin. It
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: is hard to mess up. And it's like chicken breast
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: cost it really isn't because when you buy them usually
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: at two of the tenderloins and a package for like
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: eighteen dollars, it's crazy, a delicious dish and it comes
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: with this passion fruit and rosemary. My tie with passion fruit,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: rosemary and fu syrup, lemon juice, pineapple juice. Very delicious.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: It really cuts through that that the honey garlic of
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: the pork.
- 1:02:04Speaker 10: And in the pork.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Absolutely Now we didn't get to try the monk fish.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Tell me about the monk fish, so.
- 1:02:10Speaker 9: We couldn't be in today.
- 1:02:11Speaker 11: But yeah, we have monkfish that we're gonna sellarate with
- 1:02:14Speaker 11: corn childer and a little of the we're gonna take
- 1:02:17Speaker 11: some barchetta and we're gonna like with the little dice,
- 1:02:22Speaker 11: we know to fry and we haven't gone into gonna
- 1:02:24Speaker 11: cheat our own thing on the top.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: As soon as you said.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Change as the rest of it, angel, you've had you've
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: had the ability to taste a little this were you thinking.
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: Man, it's absolutely magnificent.
- 1:02:38Speaker 6: Again, the pairing with the oxtail is uh, incredible and
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: it's just what's awesome. Uh, I'll tell her what you
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: do is sometimes I like thinking outside of the box makes
- 1:02:48Speaker 6: it an adventure. And but in the best way past
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: was a culinary sense of it. And then the pairing
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: with the drink is just like the little a little
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: extra spice on it, you know.
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: So it's really fantastic.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: And it's so funny. You say milk punch sour, whiskey sour,
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: and you're like, what in the hell even is that?
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Because it's purple, right you look at it, it's like
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: a purple. But man, when you have oxtail that's got
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: that beautiful rich flavor to it with that nice bright
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: tomato sauce and then you take that in it's got
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: a tiny bit of sweet, a tiny bit of sour
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: in that cocktail with some plumb in there just absolutely wonderful.
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: And it smells so good.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: It doesn't smell so great, that's amazing. And then uh,
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: we're gonna ended up with the pumpkin and goat cheese
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: cheesecake and this comes with this insane cinnamon toast crunch
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: espresso martini. I love the way, Adrian. I want to
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: know the stories behind all of that.
- 1:03:39Speaker 12: How did you all come up with these team? They're
- 1:03:41Speaker 12: a bunch of mad scientists. They get so creative and
- 1:03:44Speaker 12: have so much fun. We're just like, you know what,
- 1:03:45Speaker 12: run with it. What do you think will work? Let's
- 1:03:47Speaker 12: try it out, Let's see what?
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: Yeah, oh good.
- 1:03:49Speaker 12: So this is the Brugal eighteen eighty eight rum. It
- 1:03:52Speaker 12: has espresso, it has cinnamon. What you don't have because
- 1:03:56Speaker 12: we're just tasting today and it's just plastic cups. So
- 1:03:58Speaker 12: I couldn't do this. But it'll have a torch crimberly
- 1:04:02Speaker 12: top on there.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: No it's not.
- 1:04:03Speaker 10: Yeah, it'll be really pretty.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Are you serious? You guys gonna like torch the top
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: with sugar. Yeah.
- 1:04:09Speaker 10: I couldn't do it in your plastic cup today.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: I don't want you to do I can't get over
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: it. It's fun. I cannot get over how good this pumpkin
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: goat cheese cheesecake is with this, with this pairing, it
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: is it is like ethereal good. It banana is good,
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: so good, and it's light too.
- 1:04:27Speaker 10: I don't know how it is.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: It's like you would think it would be super sweet
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: and very overpowering with the espress, so it's none of
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: those things. It actually is a bit dry, so that
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: when you have the cheesecake, it really gets in there
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: and blends with those spices in the cheesecake and just
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: kind of lights up in your mouth. Dude, there is
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: a lot happening in that good. There is a lot
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: happening in that pairing. Okay, so this is October twenty fifth,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: that's next Saturday night right now. The tickets you can

- 1:05:07Speaker 2: slash Harry's Sip and Saver and reserve it there. We

- 1:05:18Speaker 2: date night. What if the tickets eighty is it eight
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: seventy five seventy five dollars.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: Even cheaper than what we were talking about earlier.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Seventy five bucks. And again I will tell you, Uh,
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Wednesday night, took my wife to a ramen place, got
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: two bowls of ramen a and a thing of etemami
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: and two beers and it was ninety dollars. You're gonna
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: get six premium cocktails, six dishes. And by the way,
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: you do not leave here hungry like other tastings. I've
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: actually left tastings that cost twice this much and had
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: to leave and go get something to eat afterwards. You
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: will not deal with that here. You will get plenty
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: of food, plenty of drink. And I know that the
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: hotel even offers a package as well.
- 1:05:54Speaker 12: We do offer a discount for a guest room as well,
- 1:05:57Speaker 12: and that also get you a discount on the spot.
- 1:05:59Speaker 12: If you want to make a stay cation out of
- 1:06:00Speaker 12: it and just hang for the weekend, it'll be a
- 1:06:02Speaker 12: fun time.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: And we know a lot of people who come over
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: from the coast when they do this, because we get
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: a big crowd over the coast and we have a
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: lot of people to come over from Melbourne and Coco
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: Beach in that area there. And when they do, they
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: book this room and then they stay, they do the event,
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: and then after the event they go out and hang
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: out on eyedrive, go to some places, chill out by
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: the pool there at the hotel, whatever the case may be.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: It's a very reasonable rate and you get to stay there.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: You don't have to worry about drinking and driving or
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: any of that stuff.
- 1:06:24Speaker 10: Right, and yeah, make a staycation out of it.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: It's the best, man. Love this. You're gonna have to
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: leave a bunch of this these cocktails. I'm serious, You're
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: gonna have to leave it. And remember and the one
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: thing we don't talk about, and we should talk about it.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: For one thing, I know you probably give yourself more
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: credit for being a savory chef, and you shouldn't, because
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: I'm telling you, dude, you may be one of the
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: best sweets chefs I've ever I think he's sweet too. Bro.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: I'm telling you. I've told you this for so many
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: years and it's so true. Every single time that we
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: do one of these things. The sweet the dessert is
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: like one of the stars of the show every single time.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Tell it is genius.
- 1:06:58Speaker 9: That's my weakness.
- 1:07:00Speaker 11: So that's why I make something when I would do
- 1:07:02Speaker 11: the desairs, it's very easy and simple. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:07:05Speaker 11: don't want to go to crazy, you know, like other
- 1:07:06Speaker 11: shares that they make all kind of phone stoff and
- 1:07:10Speaker 11: you know, and this one, thank you appreciate it.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: Yeah, this one has a little white chocolate leaf sticking
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: on top of it. Well, but it's it's the sorbets.
- 1:07:18Speaker 11: Like, my god, I can't be insurved, but this is
- 1:07:21Speaker 11: very nice. I am very happy with this orange ginger sorbad.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Orange and ginger sobody. So after the third meal, they
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: will bring out a sorbet as a palate cleanser to
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: move on until the next wave of food. And it's
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: so funny when you when we first started these, this
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: was just kind of a novelty thing you started doing.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: And then I started telling you, dude, you're really good
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: at these little sorbets. You should kind of put some
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: time into these things.
- 1:07:44Speaker 11: No, don't expect a sweet served, no, no, no, no, very
- 1:07:47Speaker 11: savor and this is very I'm very happy you know.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: I love it. This is where he really stretches and
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: and the cool thing is is the hotel really does
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: port anything you really want to do. They never tell
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: you no. Scouts are very expensive. A lot of these
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: proteins are very expensive. But the cool thing is they
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: never really pinch you on this. They allow you to
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: stretch out and build something really cool, so the customer
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: gets a really unique experience.
- 1:08:13Speaker 9: They give me a wins. You know, I can go
- 1:08:15Speaker 9: whatever I want, buy whatever I need.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: I love it.
- 1:08:18Speaker 10: We're just like you know what, have fun, have fun,
- 1:08:20Speaker 10: and that's all we can do.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: And the other aspect of this, and again I can't
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: tell you enough, it's so hard to kind of tell
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: you on the air is the camaraderie that happens in
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: these events. And it's true to tell this is Adrian.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Adrian's here. She'll tell you the truth within five minutes.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: Best friends within. You can't you can't hear yourself.
- 1:08:38Speaker 12: Thinking, right, I'm on this side of the dining room,
- 1:08:40Speaker 12: I'm shopping at my friend or on that side of
- 1:08:41Speaker 12: the dining room.
- 1:08:42Speaker 10: And by the end of the.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: Night, everybody's like minded. Because when you come to these things,
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: the star, the food is the star. So you just
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: strip strike up a conversation about what you're expecting, what
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: you like, and then when the meals start rolling out,
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: when the dishes start coming out, the conversation switches to
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: what you liked about it, Well, you didn't like about it?
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: You know how it hits you. You do, you want more,
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: And it's just a really cool event to meet new people,
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: to enjoy a really nice evening out for a good price.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Six cocktails, six six menu items and for only seventy
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: five dollars is unheard of. It really is, guys.
- 1:09:15Speaker 10: It's a nice date night, nice little escape. We hope
- 1:09:17Speaker 10: you come and enjoy it.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna be out there with my wife,
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: so I hope you get to make it. It'd be great.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: It's four oh seven nine ninety six thirty nine seventy
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: again four oh seven nine nine six three ninety seven

- 1:10:29Speaker 2: Angel here with us today. He's still chill.
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: I was doing that. How did they get that?
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: It was the mol Oh my gosh, it's so delicious,
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: even when it comes back back to my favorite thing,
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: like Angel comes walking out of the room. I actually
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: I went in and I poked my head in the
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: master control and I said, have you did you do
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: the cheesecake and the cinnamon toast martini yet and he
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: goes not to get any cheesecake. So I went over
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: and I said, come out here for a sec. And
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: the cheesecakes are these little small cheesecakes that he brought
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: for us today. And it's you know, for a normal person,
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: it's two bites. For a DJ giant, however, it is
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: one bite when I said, eat that cheesecake and wash
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: it down with that cinnamon toast crinch martini. That's the
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: eyes roll back in your head scenario.
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: That is you take a pause there.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: That is I can't explain what's happening to me right now,
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: Like the first time you ever had section, you don't
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: know what's going on. I mean I didn't, this kind
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: of happened to me. And yeah, I know, you know.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: And somebody asked a very important question on the on
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: the texting service said, is this do you have to tip? No?
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: I mean it's included and everything is included in the price.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: If you want to leave a few bucks, you can,
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: And I mean I've never tipped at this event. Is
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: it's one I promote, It's just not one. It's not
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: that kind of culture out there, you know. They everything's
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: built into the price. They don't want you to feel
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: pressured to do anything more than you're asked to do.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: I mean, if you feel so motivated to leave a
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: few bucks, you're certainly welcome to do that. But they
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: don't ever make one one pressure one nothing. And I'm
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: telling you, guys, if you want to really fun evening,
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: I'll be there with my wife hanging out and kind
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: of walking around and saying hey everybody and asking them
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: how they feel about it, trying to explain a few
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: of the things going on. Please do it because it
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: is so much fun and it's just an awesome crowd
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: of people. One of the reasons we've had a long
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: relationship with the guys over at the Rosen and we
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: help them promote their Thanksgiving dinners and their Christmas dinners
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: is because they're such wonderful community partners. On top of
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: everything else they do when hurricanes hit, when things get tough,
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: they're the first property in Orlando to drop those prices
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: down to where people can afford if they need to
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: leave their house for safety, that they can come to
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: the hotel and bring their pets and have a place
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: and bring their damn pets. It's amazing that's kind of
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: part of Harris Rosen's legacy. God rest his soul. Of
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: course we lost them earlier this year, but it doesn't
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: really matter. That same vibe keeps going through those properties,
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: and Adrian and Tella have been turning this thing out
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: for years and they do such a great job. So again,
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: if you can, we would love to see you next
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: Saturday for the event. It's Harry'spoolside dot com slash Harry's
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: Sip and Savor. Grab your tickets there and we will
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: see you next Saturday. And you will understand why we
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: freak out so much when they come in. You will
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: know immediately.
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: Bring your appetite.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: Angel brought his plate out of his studio. We could
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: put that right back in the cupboard.
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: It was good, dude.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: I like the portions, yeah yeah, and they're bigger at
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: the unit or at the event, bigger unit.
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: It's just kind of say you like the food that much?
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: What are you doing? All right?
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: That's a different kind of Sip and Savor.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: I don't want to get crazy on this old man,
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: but you know it's did you guys hear about this
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: eighty one year old man in Osciola County that was killed.
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: Unfortunately, the oh are you talking about the shed fire?
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: Yeah, the junk yard. Do you know how that started?
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: I do not know how it started.
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: So if you have been watching the news, there was
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: a giant fire over it. What it was like a.
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: It was like a junk yard, like a junk yard,
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: right basically, and it's shut down. What was it, Yeah,
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: seventeen ninety two for several several hours yesterday, and you
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: would think.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: Of yourself, well, it'd be pretty easy for something. I mean,
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: you know, there's so much you know, oil and gas
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: around those old cars for a spark to happen, or
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: you know, a piece of glass to catch the sun,
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: just riders. I mean, all that silly stuff has happened before.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: That was not the case. Here's exactly how this fire started. Now, again,
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: someone lost their lives. We're not making fun of it,
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: but this is one of those situations where maybe generationally
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: the gentleman didn't understand he was trying to drill a
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: hole in a propane tank.
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: What oh, that's what cause explosion.
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: He he was drilling a hole in a propane tank.
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: Old propane.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: It just set a propane tank. It doesn't even say
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: if it was empty or not, but that doesn't matter,
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: because even if you think they're empty, you should never
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: ever blanking, ever do that, man, because even a little
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: bit of gas in those things can really cause a
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: gnarly scenario. And that's exactly what happened. He was drilling
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: a hole into this tank. It exploded and blew him
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: into the shed that was adjacent to this junk yard,
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: and the explosion caught the shed on fire, and then
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: of course it caught the entire junk yard on fire.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: But that's how that started.
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: Damn.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: He was sitting in the doorway of the shed with
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: a drill and a propane tank. As he attempted to
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: drill a hole into the tank, it exploded and he
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: was thrown into the shed. The shed became engulfed in flames,
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: and then of course it burned throughout the scrapyard and
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: forced seventeen ninety two to shut down.
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: Do we know if he was caught chasing?
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: I will tell you that's something that it seems like
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: when I was in high school, it seems like this
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: should have been like a story a day in Putnam
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: Counties in his paper, just because I mean, it's just like,
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: you know, you just do silly stuff. You don't think
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: about it. You know, maybe he wanted to use the
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: tank for something else, maybe you know who knows, and
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: never thought in the second that even if it was
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: completely empty, that it could have enough gas in there
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: to cause an explosion. But you know, we know that
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: to be the case.
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: I mean, I've seen some decorative items recently made with
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: you know, discarded propane tanks, right yeah, yeah, and thought, wow,
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: that's a really cool like permanent jack O lander design.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: But how do you make it right?
- 1:16:06Speaker 5: Right?
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: I think if you, if you, and maybe there's some
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: people out there in the scrap yards can help me
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: out with this, because we have a number of them
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: out on the east side of town. I think that
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: it's protocol that even when they bring a car in,
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: like a vehicle in that's scrap, the first thing they
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: do is puncture the gas tank. Wow, the very first
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: thing they do is tear or puncture the gas tank
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: to make sure that no fuel because even a little
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: bit of fuel that stays in those tanks can turn
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: into the fumes. And that's where the real problem happens.
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: It's the fumes. So in the Florida heat if there's
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: even a cup of gas that gets left in one
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: of these tanks and it gets punctured and there's a spark,
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: it could cause a massive explosion. So I think the
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: protocol there is is they just puncture them completely. And
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: I know that when I had an old Z car
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: and old two forty Z and I was going to
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: clean the gas tank out myself, and I called a
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: buddy who actually owned a shop that specifically worked on
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: that kind of vehicle, and I said, hey, man, I'm
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: about to I'm about to clean this gas tank open
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: or a gas tank. You know what should I do?
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: When he goes don't touch it. Don't touch it. Take
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: it to a company that does that, because man, I've
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: heard so many nightmare stories about people thinking they're going
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: to do this, not understanding that it really doesn't take
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: that much gasoline to create a really bad scenario. And
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: sure enough, he was right. When I took the tank
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: over to the guy, he told me, because the best
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: thing you ever did is not f with this thing. Really, yeah,
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: because you just don't realize how volatile that stuff is.
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: Well, somebody just texted us at seven seven zero three
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: one saying propane tanks have two hundred and fifty PSI.
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: Oh man, that's all right.
- 1:17:36Speaker 6: You ever do that science experiment or in science class?
- 1:17:38Speaker 6: So what's the one of the neat things? Are components
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: about gasoline liquid?
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: Right?
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: You can actually drop a match into gasoline and it
- 1:17:47Speaker 6: won't start on fire.
- 1:17:48Speaker 5: It's the it's the few that are costable, right, right, right.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: And that's why when you go in a like when
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: cops you know, in our homes or whatever, and there's
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: been a gas league, you know, the number one thing
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: is you you don't go in. You just try to
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: air it out or let it go. My I told
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: you guys, I left my on my fifth wheel, my
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: camper for my hat for a while. I left the
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: stove on a accident and my we're sitting over there
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: drinking and having a good time, and my propane alarm
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: my seat is it CO two alarm or whatever? It
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: goes off in my camper and as I'm walking toward it,
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: my buddy Shane yells and he goes, don't open the door, dude,
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: And I said, why, he goes, it's a bomb. And
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: sure enough we had to wait for that whole thing
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: to play out. I opened the door, let the thing go,
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: you know, and let the gas go out, went in
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: and turned it off, and he goes. That's how a
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: lot of people wind up dying in those things if
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: you don't have one of those carbon monoxide detectors, or
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: you have a giant explosion, because all it takes is
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: a tiny little spark and it's compressed gas or it's
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: open gas. Damn gnarly.
- 1:18:47Speaker 5: Isn't that what creates a backdraft? Yeah?
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: I think so, something like that. All right, four seven
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: nine one six one four one text us at seven
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: seven zero three. I'm gonna take at break, will come
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: back in a second and tell you how airplanes and
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: airlines are are kind of looking at dogs these days.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: I'll tell you what that is. Next radio Wait, way early,
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: way early.
- 1:19:09Speaker 5: That's what good food does in a.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: Couple of cocktails for you. There, here we do it
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: right now here we go. Welcome back to the Jim
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: Bloomberg Show, Real Radio one four point one. I'm Jim.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: There's deb Hello angels here as well. Thanks coming by, Budd.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Appreciate very man.
- 1:19:26Speaker 5: I was always a pleasure to hang out with you guys.
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: Five clock keyword is bank b A n K. Get
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: over to Real Radio. Dot of Himinston. Then I'll bring
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: your chance of the thousand bucks bank. Guys is your
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: five o'clock keyword. We wish you the very.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: Best get that money.
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Angel going to Petrick ped Forest for the very
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: first time.
- 1:19:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm going to.
- 1:19:44Speaker 6: Take my daughter and her friends and uh, you know,
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: just like we were reference on earlier in the show, just
- 1:19:50Speaker 6: something to take their mind off of everything. They're really
- 1:19:53Speaker 6: excited about it. And you're talking about like her and
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: her circle of friends. They're the universal u.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: W Halloween har Howard Ights.
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: They are like pros at that, but they've never done
- 1:20:03Speaker 6: something like this, right, right, and so they're really excited
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: about it. And you know it's in the community. It's
- 1:20:07Speaker 6: up the street from them, and they've driven by it
- 1:20:10Speaker 6: a million times, but they've never you know, had a
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: chance to go.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: So it's so fun, you know, I have to tell
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: you know, of course everybody likes the Halloween Harknits thing
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: because there's a bunch of people therebody's having a good time.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: You know, everything's very pro level, but it's also very
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: busy and it's very expensive, right, really expensive. If you
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: get in there and you get a Halloween haar night
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: tickets in a fast pass. You're talking, you know, north
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: of four hundred dollars for that experience. And there are
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: so many great little haunts across Central.
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: Florida that are you're doing that, that are that are.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: Kind of doing this, and Petrified Forest has been one
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: of those that really has endeared itself to the entire
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: Central Florida area. But I know Lake County has a
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: couple of the Haunted mazes and other haunted houses. And
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: if you go online, if you go to Orlando danagid
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: dot com, I believe they have an entire list of
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: the mount there. I know Orlando Weekly does as well,
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: if you want to check that out. But Petrified Forest tonight,
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: and they're supposed to go way back in the woods
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: on this one y. Yeah, there are different trails and
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: it's real. And I will tell you I'm not gonna
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: say anybody stole or bit anything from anybody. I'll just
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: say this. About five years ago, a Petrified Forest came
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: up with a really unique idea for this thing. It
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: was basically it was like a laser lake, all right,
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: And what they would do is they shot a series
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: of lasers across this one area and then they fogged
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: it up right, So when the lasers went across the fog,
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: it literally looked like water. You couldn't really see where
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: you were going. You're just wandering through this this, this whole,
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: this pit of fog. But what you don't know is
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: if they got scary dudes under the fog, that'll just
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: pop up right in front of you. Oh geez, and bro,
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: let me tell you that was an unbelievable experience. And
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say anything happened, but it was incorporated
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: into let's say, a bigger haunted house theory just two
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: years after that. Oh really, yeah, that idea was bit
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: as they say in the hip hop.
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: Community, Well you know, if they say flattery, is this
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: since or what is it?
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: Imitation? Is this sincerest form of flatter?
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: Does?
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: I don't even have a drink?
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: Hey? And by the way, Angel, how that happened? I'm
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: on an eighties hip hop run right now and four
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: hour what'd you do? That's new segment? Two weeks ago,
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: I made the guys listen to Paid and Full by
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: Eric ban ruckhim and guess why I hit him with
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: this week? Something a little bit more political, public enemy.
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: It takes a nation of millions to hold.
- 1:22:27Speaker 5: Us back and iconic album of all time.
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: I said, I said this to these guys, I said,
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: maybe the most important hip hop group ever, or at
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: least top five most important hip hop groups ever, and
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: you will hear what is considered to be one of
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: their masterpieces.
- 1:22:42Speaker 5: Yeah, that is definitely.
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: It's it's funny to say that because it's it's weird
- 1:22:47Speaker 6: how life or situations become cyclical, and so the themes
- 1:22:53Speaker 6: and some of the things that are they are talking about.
- 1:22:56Speaker 6: And this is late eighties, early nineties and we're still
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: in the thick of it today, coming right back around.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: Kind of like the book nineteen eighty four.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:23:05Speaker 6: Yeah, And just so you know, Pe just dropped a
- 1:23:07Speaker 6: brand new album and it's actually, I mean, to their credit,
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: is actually really good.
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: I got to check it out. I say, I did
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: hear that they did one, and I know that you know,
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: Chuck D didn't really come out. He was the lead wrapper.
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: Everybody knows Flavor Flave, right, and it's so weird that,
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: you know, not as many people know who Chuck D
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: is and he's the guy. Uh, Flavor got all the
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: attention because he's Flavor Flave. But you know, for the
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: longest time, they didn't really do a whole lot. They
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: kind of had a bit of a falling out. Flavor
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: had a little weird run in his life till he
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: went out. Yeah. Yeah, and I think Progressor Professor Griff
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: and some of the s nws also kind of went
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: a little sideways, and but they've all kind of come
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: back together. In the last few years. I've seen Chuck
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: de doing more pro public appearances and more of these
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: pickup performances, and it's been really cool to see him
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: back out there at it.
- 1:23:48Speaker 5: But I'll shoot this over to you.
- 1:23:50Speaker 6: I played this today earlier today for the Pick of
- 1:23:53Speaker 6: the Day to modiate Pick of the Day. But it's
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: a group called the Brown Brown Out and they did
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: a Fear of a Brown Planet and we're talking horns, uh,
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: a mixture of horns drums like this, like just all
- 1:24:08Speaker 6: and saw instrumental and they covered it takes it takes
- 1:24:11Speaker 6: a nation.
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: Really Yeah, it's.
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: Really really cool.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: I would love to see them do a tiny desk.
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: They didn't do it. I would love to see that,
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: you know, genuine, I'm not genuine, juvenile did a tiny
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: desk and it was great.
- 1:24:24Speaker 6: Yeah, it ends up being iconic, you know, and you
- 1:24:28Speaker 6: realize that, like you're like thinking about none, some of
- 1:24:30Speaker 6: these this music can't work there or some of these
- 1:24:32Speaker 6: songs aren't going to work there out here, and they
- 1:24:33Speaker 6: pull it off and it's and it's so good.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: It's so I mean it because it's it's usually something
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: you've not heard before or anything like that from them.
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: So check that out, all right, So I tease this story.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: We'll get to it. This is a CBS News story.
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: So here in America, if you fly with an animal,
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: deb do you know the protocol there? Are you familiar
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: with it? Like if you have a cat, you have
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: to put it in a crate or something.
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: Same thing with the dog if it's small enough to
- 1:24:55Speaker 4: fit underneath the seat. I actually shipped a German shepherd overseas,
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: so well, yeah, it's you don't sedate them, you put
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: them in a crate, they go in the baggage hold.
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: They're supposed to be the last thing that's loaded onto
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: the plane. And then of course there's special rules when
- 1:25:10Speaker 4: you live in a state like say Florida, Arizona, Texas,
- 1:25:13Speaker 4: where the heat is a big issue and you might
- 1:25:15Speaker 4: have a plane that's been delayed in sitting out on
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: the runway.
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: Right, yeah, Oh well, the European Union's top court ruled
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: Thursday that a dog traveling in an airplane's cargo hold
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: counts as baggage. Now it is not, It is not
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: considered what was it considered before? But in other words,
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: it's a livestock. Yeah, it's a possession and not like
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: a life kind of thing. And the reason why is.
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: Oh yeah, for lawsuits.
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: Yeah, they don't want to be required to pay higher
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: compensation if the animal is either killed or lost. And
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: what happened is a terrible story. I say terrible. The
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: dog did not die, but I mean, could you imagine
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: this happening to you. It stems from a dispute between
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: a Spanish airline and a passenger whose dog went missing
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: before a flight from Buenos Aires to Barcelona in twenty nineteen. Yeah,
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: by Thalona right, Jaro. The dog was traveling in a
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: pet carrier in the aircraft's hold. Due to its size
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: and weight, it escaped while being taken to the plane
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: and was never seen again. But the problem with this
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: story is the woman was sitting on the plane and
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: looks out to the right and she sees her dog
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: and sees her beloved dog running across the tarmac being
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: chased by three employees and vans trying to find that
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: the dog is never found again, never found, and and
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: she sued them and wanted to complete you know, we
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: just wanted to be completely compensated for everything was happening.
- 1:26:38Speaker 6: Otional damage, all that kind of stuff. So she hit
- 1:26:40Speaker 6: up for what ten million dollars?
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: Ye, she was only seeking like fifty four hundred dollars.
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: She is offering a cash reward. But the company basically
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: accepted responsibility, but argued that the compensation should be limited
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: to the lower amount set for check baggage. In other words,
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: no differently than if they just lost at her luggage.
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: That's all. They wanted to pay whatever the replacements for
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: a suitcase full of clothes a couple hundred bucks, Yeah,
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: whatever that is. Yeah, they don't want to have to
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: pay for it being a life or being you know,
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: your your love or beloved pet, none of that.
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: Dude, that's a Pixar movie waiting to be made, no joke, right,
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: you know. But then and on this version of it,
- 1:27:15Speaker 6: you have the fairy tale ending, and you know, she
- 1:27:19Speaker 6: ends up getting her dog. But that just that scene alone.
- 1:27:21Speaker 6: You're sitting on the plane on the tarbin, you watch
- 1:27:24Speaker 6: your dog run across the you know, the runways.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: And of course, if you know, if you're a little
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: bit older and this woman was a little bit older,
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: your dog is basically your life partner. That's all she had.
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: And when you know she sees her dog running across,
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: I mean, you might as well just picture your own kid.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: I know, young people that would react the same way. Yeah,
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: but I mean for her, it was her, you know it,
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: it's basically her life partners. But she spent every minute
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: with you know.
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that was what my golden was like
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: before I met Chris.
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: Oh really.
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: I mean I've always been reticent about traveling with big
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: dogs because they have to go in the cargo hold.
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: Yeah, I just buy a plane.
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: Yeah, right after hearing that story.
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: I mean, because you know, like my my my brother's
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: service dog, he was a seizure alert dog. He came
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: to us from Washington State, so he flew, like I said,
- 1:28:07Speaker 4: he's sending my ex husband's German Shepherd back over to England.
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: You know, it's traumatic for you and the dog because
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: you realize once you let that airline have control of
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: your animal. You don't have any control anymore. And if
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: they're going to see an animal like that, then I
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: don't want to give them my money or my business.
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: Yeah, but in that same sense, yeah, I mean, the
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: biggest nightmare flight I've ever been on in my entire life,
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: outside of the one where he almost crashed in Chicago,
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: was a woman sitting straight across and two rows back,
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: brought her cat with her on an overnight flight from
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: Las Vegas to Florida. It was a red line, you know,
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: red Eye, And I get on the plane, I'm like,
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: oh man, it's gonna be great. I'm just gonna just
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: tune out and go to sleep here. And then I
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: get about ten minutes into my nap, and this is
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: what I hear from behind me to the right.
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, Well maybe you should have just gone
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: on the cargo hold.
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: Yeah. Every five seconds for four and a half.
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: Hours was before you could get the good gummies.
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: Every five seconds for four and a half hours, the
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: need the entire plane. The entire plane would have collectively
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: voted to throw them both off the plane in mid flight.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: That's how bad it was. You should have seen the
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: vitriol toward this woman, and I felt at the end
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: of it, I was super pissed off, but I felt
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: really bad for her because I'm not joking.
- 1:29:31Speaker 5: You could feel like the whole the focus.
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: The entire ass into the plane was absolutely hating. I mean,
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: it'd be like she dropped the touchdown passes. They did not.
- 1:29:43Speaker 6: She had like a couple hundred pairs of eyes on her,
- 1:29:45Speaker 6: just like daggers.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: And she finally wound up yelling to everybody. She literally like,
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: it's not my fault. I didn't know he was going
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: to do this, and we're like, everybody's just like, well,
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: didn't you give it something, you know, or try to
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: calm it down or whatever. Nothing. She just let the
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: things that they're meal the entire night.
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: Yeah, that's not that's not gonna be fun.
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: It was not cool, dude, man, it was. It was
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: just so fun to watch everybody get so mad. You
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: could do anything. She was an old lady. What do
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: youna do, puncher, what do you do to yell at her?
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: She's an old lady.
- 1:30:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:30:15Speaker 6: Does pressure, like the air pressure in the cab and
- 1:30:18Speaker 6: stuff like that, Does that affect the animals the same
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: way as humans.
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: I would imagine it.
- 1:30:22Speaker 5: How do you so, how do you pop up cat's ears?
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: I don't know, maybe get them to drink something, chewing
- 1:30:27Speaker 4: them because I know is yeah.
- 1:30:29Speaker 5: Because you know, trying to think of the things that
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: would be annoying and cat like.
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: I don't know. I just think it was just the
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: cat was just out of swords, you know, all right?

- 1:31:57Speaker 2: saw that you sent me brown out, which I cannot
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: wait to see. And we just got a text about
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: like how cool Public Getemy is. We're bringing that up
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: because it is my what you do that's new this
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: week for the guys on the show. I grew up
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: skateboarding and listening to Public gettem Me in the eighties
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: and just fell in love with him and just you know,
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: fell in love with hip hop. Actually they were one
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: of the reasons I fell in love with hip hop
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: is Public Getemy. A lot of the guys that I
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: skated with, I was not familiar with this kind of music.
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: I come from Palatka. It was just all metal up there.
- 1:32:24Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: I was listening to Judas Priests and iron Maid and
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: I came out here got introduced to like nineties alternative
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: and hip hop, and it just changed my life completely,
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: A totally different perspective on music when you do that,
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: totally different.
- 1:32:34Speaker 5: Oh yeah, it changes, it helps, Yeah, it rounds out.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: I want to thank Mike Bianchi and Brandon Kravitz for
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: Coon and the rest of our food out there. That
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: was very nice of them to break into the dumpster
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: and eat it all. I swear on my life. My god,
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: it was like a bunch of hyaenas out there circling
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: the circling the carcass.
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: Well, that's that's on me.
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: Oh is it really gone?
- 1:32:55Speaker 4: Brandon came up before earlier before the show started. Got
- 1:32:57Speaker 4: you got any more of themselves?
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: It's funny to watch sports guys do food pairings. Is
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: they have no idea exactly? This hotdog and this bud
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: light really complimented each other. Yeah, very cool.
- 1:33:11Speaker 5: So yeah, yeah, I like that matchup they did that.
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: Bianchi is one of my favorite cats. You know, he's
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: a Putnam County guy. Is really yeah, he's up there
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: from where I'm from. Oh, right on, Yeah, it's kind
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: of cool because we have small conversations about being from
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: a you know, super small towns and then you know,
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: winding up in Orlando doing what we do here. But
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: he's a great guy man, and he's really good at
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: what he does. Of course, we're talking about the legendary
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: writer for the Orlando Sentlem and of course, uh the
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: co host or host with Brandon Kravitz on ninety six
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: Sign of the Game. Yeah, great guy, all right. Divorce
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: rates is something we've heard about for a long time
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: in the media here in America. And for a long time,
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: divorce rates were going up and up and up, which
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: means more and more people were getting divorced. It was
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: a major point of you know, conversation for years. Right
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: when the divorce rate got more than fifty percent. It
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: became one of those hot talking points for the longest time.
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: And oddly enough, I really never thought that the divorce
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: rate would ever kind of level out. I thought it
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: would maybe get to a point where people just simply
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: didn't get married anymore.
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: That's that's what's happening, mainly with the younger generations.
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it is a little bit. The divorce rate has
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: been has seen a significant decline since the early eighties,
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: and it says the refined divorce rate peaked at or
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: twenty two point six divorces per thousand married women around
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: nineteen eighty. That rate fell slightly to twenty point five
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: in two thousand and eight, but has dropped even more
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: significantly to only fourteen point four since twenty twenty three.
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: And why do you think that people aren't getting divorced
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: as much anymore?
- 1:34:44Speaker 5: Men have figured it out.
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: Men have figured it out.
- 1:34:47Speaker 4: What do you think, deb Oh no, I'm gonna wait
- 1:34:49Speaker 4: for him to finish answering that angel.
- 1:34:52Speaker 5: That's it. That's a hard style.
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: Yeah yeah. What do you think.
- 1:34:57Speaker 4: I think it's finances, Yeah, yeah, seek. A lot of
- 1:35:00Speaker 4: people just can't afford to get divorced, right, you know,
- 1:35:02Speaker 4: Guys don't want to see half their fortune go. I've
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: heard of a lot of couples kind of having like
- 1:35:06Speaker 4: a divorce where they don't really divorce, but one lives
- 1:35:09Speaker 4: on one side of the house and one lives on
- 1:35:10Speaker 4: the other side of the house until their financial situation
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: improves because housing is expensive for everybody, including the newly
- 1:35:17Speaker 4: divorced phrase or the saying.
- 1:35:21Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, And here's the thing, what I've noticed, and
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: I'll give you the answer here in a second. But
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: what I've noticed, you know, just from listening around and
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: talking to people who are in relationships, is you know,
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: even if you come to a even if you come
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: to a conclusion. And I've seen this more lately than
- 1:35:35Speaker 2: ever where. Usually when I was a kid and I
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: was younger, I remember, divorces were always terrible. It was
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: always like I hate you, you hate me, even though
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: we spent the last three years of our life together.
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: It gets real contentious and all of a sudden it's
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: it's and it stays like that. Man, Now it's more
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: of hey, is this working? Hey do you feel the
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: same way?
- 1:35:54Speaker 5: You know?
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: It's almost like a high school conversation about dude, should
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: we be doing this? And then they just basically it's
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: like that uncoupling thing. It isn't like a divorce. Sounds
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: so hard, but it really is more of a hey,
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: we don't really see the world the same anymore, Maybe
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: we should reconsider what we're doing here kind of thing.
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: But really angels kind of right. Actually, what it says here,
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: it's a combination of what you say and what you
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: say a lot of people who are just taking more time.
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: There's more information, there's more clinical studies out there, there's
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: more ability to read more and learn more about how
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: men and women can stay in long term relationships for
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: a while, and we're understanding each other a little bit more.
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: And the other one is exactly what you said. Fewer
- 1:36:36Speaker 2: people who are young are getting married. Yeah, that's basically it.
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: Marriage rates dropped about dropped by sixty percent over the
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: last fifty years, according to the National Center for Family
- 1:36:48Speaker 2: and Marriage Research.
- 1:36:49Speaker 6: Does it indicate in that study of more people also
- 1:36:52Speaker 6: are working on themselves, whether it's professional help, whether it's
- 1:36:56Speaker 6: going to therapy or or figure like kind of figuring
- 1:36:59Speaker 6: yourself out before I try to, you know, jump into
- 1:37:02Speaker 6: a relationship and bring whatever my baggage is into this thing.
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: Buddy, I'll be telling you, I don't I don't know
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: that you could have nailed it any better. I'll tell you,
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: I'll read exactly what it says to you. Tell me
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: if it fits. A decline at a divorce rate might
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: suggest that couples are better prepared for marriage today than
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: in the past, or they may be in relationships longer
- 1:37:20Speaker 2: for making the commitment to marry, leading to longer lasting union.
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: So I think what you just said is exactly what
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: it is. I think people just kind of maybe do
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: more research or kind of stay together and date longer
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: before they get married, before they make that commitment. And
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: I think a lot of people, like deb said, once
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: they get into a relationship where they're very comfortable, they
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: may even have kids together, and they look and they say, well, why,
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: I mean, why other than financial reasons or tax purposes,
- 1:37:45Speaker 2: why do we really need to be marriaged now again married?
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: But you know that comes into medical records comes into
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: play there, right, Oh.
- 1:37:50Speaker 4: Yeah, you can't make decisions. I mean you may not
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: even be allowed at the deathbed of your loved one
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: if there isn't some legal reason for you to be there. Yeah,
- 1:37:59Speaker 4: there's protect there's protections to do it and protections not
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: too Yeah.
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: Yeah. This Pew research things that it uses the refined
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: divorce rate rather than the overall divorce rate, which measures
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: divorces per thousand women regardless of their marital status, because
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: it counts for changes in the number of people who
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: are married at any given time, and that's important since
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: marriage rates have declined in recent decades. So basically, what
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: they're saying is is we're taking this closed group of
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: people that are married. We're not considering everybody out there.
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: And it says many marriages in the very first decade
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: of divorce. So I think, what's the magic number? We
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: always used to hear, if you can make it seven years? Yeah,
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: the seven year itch, Yeah, if you can make it
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: seven years, because I remember in business they would tell you,
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: if you can make it five years, you you got
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: to fight in chance. And then I open a marriage
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: is seven years. So I got a better chance at
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: my doughnut shop than I do my woman. It says
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: sixteen show title.
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: Sixty. Yet you don't.
- 1:39:00Speaker 2: Sixteen percent of divorces in twenty twenty three occurred in
- 1:39:03Speaker 2: the very first five years of marriage, while twenty four
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: percent occurred within five to nine years of marriage. But however,
- 1:39:10Speaker 2: twenty two percent of the divorces that year occurred in
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: marriages that had last for twenty five years or more.
- 1:39:15Speaker 2: That is the one weird trend that we have seen
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: lately that I've read a lot about is a lot
- 1:39:21Speaker 2: of gray divorces out there. A lot of people who
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: have been together a very long time and then just
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: divorce like crazy. And the other part of that that
- 1:39:29Speaker 2: I remember reading about is we always think, and we
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: know it's true, divorces when your kids are young are
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: not good. You know it was. I carried that guilt
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: for years. This is not good. But and you would
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: think that if you're an adult and you get divorced, that
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: your adult kids are gonna handle it.
- 1:39:45Speaker 5: Well. Aha.
- 1:39:46Speaker 2: Turns out in some cases it's way worse on adult
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: children than it is on smaller children.
- 1:39:51Speaker 4: Yeah, because they've had that stability for what four times
- 1:39:54Speaker 4: longer than a younger child, you know. And what happens,
- 1:39:57Speaker 4: I remember you you said something about us actually yesterday
- 1:40:01Speaker 4: Jimmy talking about parents, Oh, when Ross was here and
- 1:40:04Speaker 4: you're talking about how you know he and Olivia are
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: in opposite schedules, and you kind of, you know, you
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: take shifts in a way. And what ends up happening
- 1:40:12Speaker 4: is with a lot of these older couples, they both retire.
- 1:40:15Speaker 4: He's driving her crazy. They look across the kitchen table
- 1:40:18Speaker 4: from each other and go, who are you?
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: That's exactly what I read who are you? And I
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: mean almost to the syllable, that's exactly when you especially
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: my wife and I have four kids right our entire
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: life for about eight years was just raising kids. And
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: when when we got the empty nest thing for a
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: minute we really did, it was kind of a shock.
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: We're like, okay, now what now, what do we do?
- 1:40:39Speaker 2: You know, what do we do with all of our
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: time or not?
- 1:40:40Speaker 5: Quiet?
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: We're not in volleyball tournaments, we're not doing baseball, we're
- 1:40:43Speaker 2: not going to we're not taking our kids back and
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: forth to jiu jitsu or anything round the houses or proms,
- 1:40:51Speaker 2: no proms, no nothing to get ready for, none of that.
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: And it was just, you know, they were on their own.
- 1:40:56Speaker 2: And man, I'm going to tell you it can sake transition.
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: It can be very shocking. You think that's what you
- 1:41:01Speaker 2: dream for, right and then you've become business partners and
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: you know, and you know, my ex wife god Restler
- 1:41:07Speaker 2: Soul and I we became a very good team at
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: raising kids completely no passion, like, no relationship there whatsoever.
- 1:41:15Speaker 2: But as a team we were very good because we
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: could do the things that made that the house run,
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: but there was it was dead inside and I and
- 1:41:24Speaker 2: I learned that that that was no way to run
- 1:41:27Speaker 2: a relationship, and a relationship right now, but in twenty years,
- 1:41:30Speaker 2: you know, we've had, So we've had some fun, knock
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: down drag outs, but it was always for the best
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: reason and we always found our way around it and
- 1:41:37Speaker 2: kind of came back to what we were, which is
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: our love for each other in the fact that we
- 1:41:41Speaker 2: really do each other. We'd like each other's company, and
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: we want to be around each other, and we love
- 1:41:44Speaker 2: talking about stuff and laughing about stupid stuff.
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: And that's why, in a way I remember that there
- 1:41:49Speaker 4: this this is several years ago, but women getting backlash
- 1:41:52Speaker 4: when asked, you know the most important person in your life,
- 1:41:56Speaker 4: and they would say my spouse, And the people would say, well,
- 1:41:59Speaker 4: what about your children, And the woman would reply, well,
- 1:42:02Speaker 4: of course, my children are tops in my heart. But
- 1:42:04Speaker 4: you have to understand, my children are going to grow
- 1:42:07Speaker 4: up and go get their own lives.
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: I don't keep my husband as the top person in
- 1:42:12Speaker 4: my life, then I'm going to wake up one day
- 1:42:14Speaker 4: and not recognize that person that we've made a life
- 1:42:17Speaker 4: and a family together.
- 1:42:19Speaker 2: So, you know, kids, and that's the other thing.
- 1:42:23Speaker 4: I always think they're going to be these magical little
- 1:42:25Speaker 4: lessings and more likely than that, you may end up
- 1:42:27Speaker 4: with that personality that you just clash.
- 1:42:30Speaker 5: Jerk for a daughter or son.
- 1:42:34Speaker 2: To talk to me like, what the hell did we
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: do exactly. That's a very powerful lesson I've learned a
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: lot about lately, which one about the whole idea of yeah,
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: your kids. I mean, you put your kids on a
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: pedestal a little bit and you start kind of you
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: stop paying attention what's really important in your life, and
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: then you have to refocus and that, yeah, I learned that.
- 1:42:52Speaker 2: I've learned that recently at at the nth level.
- 1:42:56Speaker 4: And again, you know, it's not saying that your children
- 1:42:59Speaker 4: there knee or their well being or their happiness doesn't matter.
- 1:43:03Speaker 4: It just means that they can't be the only thing
- 1:43:06Speaker 4: that matters, because at the end of the day, at
- 1:43:08Speaker 4: the end of twenty thirty years, I'm going to be
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: looking at this person that we went through the trenches,
- 1:43:13Speaker 4: and I'd like to remember what their favorite color and
- 1:43:15Speaker 4: favorite food rather than say your.
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: Name right, it's right on the tip of my tongue.
- 1:43:20Speaker 5: It's like what Jimmy says all the time. It was
- 1:43:22Speaker 5: one of his favorite quotes, is like, be water.
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: Man, you have had more to drink than I thought.
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: I don't take that I.
- 1:43:31Speaker 5: Did.
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: He No, I think he's being dumb.
- 1:43:33Speaker 4: No, I don't think he's being dumb. I think he's
- 1:43:34Speaker 4: bringing up a blast from the past.
- 1:43:36Speaker 6: And he's a real deep cut. There is a deep Yeah,
- 1:43:39Speaker 6: that's Bruce Lee. And yeah we were talking. Yeah, we
- 1:43:42Speaker 6: were talking about that he lost his mind?
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: Was be wata?
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: What Jim losing his mind?
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: Imagining he was fantastic wata?
- 1:43:54Speaker 3: Yeah, let it flow and don't fight it.
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: Divorce rates have been inclining since our peak in the
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: seventies and eighties, mostly because marriage has become a more
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: selective of folks who are educated and financially stable. Most
- 1:44:06Speaker 2: of the decline comes from this change in the population
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: that gets married, especially before having children. Yeah, so a
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: lot of that is just, you know, I think maybe
- 1:44:13Speaker 2: some cultural changes as well, that you know, we see
- 1:44:15Speaker 2: the we see younger people kind of just looking in
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: life differently all together, like the American dream for kids.
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: My age was always the same. You want the white
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: pick at bench, you want the house, you want the
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: two point two kids, you know, the whole nine yards,
- 1:44:26Speaker 2: the good job. You could watch though, yeah, the good Watch,
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: the wife meets with the door, Dinner's ready. Man, This
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: new generation, they don't care about any of that they
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: want a small place that they can take care of
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: that costs very little, and they want to go out
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: and travel and have experiences. They don't care about the
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: trappings of the stuff that we cared about when we
- 1:44:42Speaker 2: were kids. It's just not the same. They put no
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: value in it whatsoever.
- 1:44:46Speaker 3: Well, and why should they.
- 1:44:47Speaker 4: It's becoming increasingly unattainable for them to get, so it
- 1:44:51Speaker 4: kind of seems like the carrot at the end of
- 1:44:53Speaker 4: the stick, right, you keep making them chase after this
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: dream that is getting more and more expensive for them
- 1:44:59Speaker 4: to get. I mean, I owned my first home before
- 1:45:01Speaker 4: I was twenty three. Yeah, yeah, I mean, think of
- 1:45:03Speaker 4: the other twenty three year olds. I mean, you have
- 1:45:05Speaker 4: to work exponentially hard to be able to make just
- 1:45:08Speaker 4: that little bit of the dream come to true.
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: My daughter and her guy are just talking to the
- 1:45:11Speaker 2: other day about the idea of like getting a place,
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: and they want to do this and do that, and
- 1:45:14Speaker 2: we're like, hey, man, pump the brakes a little bit,
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: save some money, you know, get get it together, and
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: then do that. But I mean, because you have time,
- 1:45:20Speaker 2: you you know, you're still very very young. But we
- 1:45:22Speaker 2: love that, We love that, go get them. We love
- 1:45:24Speaker 2: the fact they want to do that. But you can't
- 1:45:26Speaker 2: make yourself house poor. But you're right in this market here,
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: unless you're living twenty miles outside of town, it's so
- 1:45:30Speaker 2: difficult to find a place you could even remotely for it. Yeah, exactly,
- 1:45:33Speaker 2: what's the average cost of a house in central Florida?
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: Four hundred at least four hundred.
- 1:45:38Speaker 4: Yeah, if we hadn't bought during COVID and twenty twenty,
- 1:45:41Speaker 4: Chris and I wouldn't qualify for the average price of
- 1:45:43Speaker 4: any home around central Florida. And I think that's another
- 1:45:46Speaker 4: reason why young people are saying, you know, screw that,
- 1:45:49Speaker 4: I'm just gonna rent, right, you know, I'll let the
- 1:45:51Speaker 4: repairs be someone else's problem. I'll just rent. I can travel,
- 1:45:55Speaker 4: you know. It's a set price each and every month.
- 1:45:57Speaker 6: And that was a New York Times report that not
- 1:45:59Speaker 6: so long long ago, where in certain cities, rent was
- 1:46:02Speaker 6: comparable to a house payment.
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it is, and probably here in Central Florida. Dude,
- 1:46:07Speaker 2: Right now, I got a daughter of the pace twenty
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: four hundred dollars a month for a two bedroom apartment.
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: What twenty four hundred dollars a month? And look, it's Okay,
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: I mean it's in Late Mary and I ain't Winter Park,
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: you know, it's it's not a tower in Maitland. It's
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: not downtown in the View or one of those places
- 1:46:23Speaker 2: like that. Twenty four hundo. That's as much as I
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: paid for my first nice house a month when I
- 1:46:29Speaker 2: started making a little bit of money and I bought
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: my first nice place. It was le My mortgage was
- 1:46:34Speaker 2: one thousand dollars less than that.
- 1:46:36Speaker 4: Yeah, we have a two bedroom, two bath house and
- 1:46:39Speaker 4: it's nowhere near and see. And again the problem with
- 1:46:42Speaker 4: the renting is that then you're not building any equity
- 1:46:45Speaker 4: that you can pull on later in life. Right, everything
- 1:46:47Speaker 4: is in exchange, right, everything in exchange. By the way,
- 1:46:50Speaker 4: someone texted us at seven seven zero three one be
- 1:46:53Speaker 4: like wata strong enough to penetrate any surface, get flexible
- 1:46:57Speaker 4: enough to fill any container.
- 1:47:00Speaker 3: That is the Bruce Lee quote from The Very Arrogant.
- 1:47:04Speaker 5: That was the whole argument that we got into.
- 1:47:07Speaker 2: Was it really Yeah, was arrogant? Oh, he was really arrogant.
- 1:47:11Speaker 2: Matter of fact, this is and.
- 1:47:13Speaker 5: This was before dumb Dumb's movie came out.
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: Quentin Tarantinas, Yeah, because that that fired up his his
- 1:47:20Speaker 2: family's estate did not care for that of his daughter.
- 1:47:23Speaker 2: Daughter to sue because you're like, well, my dad wouldn't
- 1:47:25Speaker 2: like that. We're like, I don't know. Your dad was
- 1:47:26Speaker 2: kind of like that. Your dad had a reputation for
- 1:47:28Speaker 2: kind of being like that, really yea, for being almost
- 1:47:30Speaker 2: exactly like he was portraying the movie.
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: I'd never seen the movie.
- 1:47:33Speaker 2: Not this guy.
- 1:47:35Speaker 5: Now we're about to go out.
- 1:47:37Speaker 6: Are you you're to repeat that argument from thirteen.
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: Years agous about him? Well, I'm telling you a little bit.
- 1:47:43Speaker 5: Oh yeah, because Chuck's a saint, all right.

- 1:51:52Speaker 1: Get kicked here, I'm gonna say number three.
- 1:51:55Speaker 2: No, Rackstar is an actual adult film title, and it's
- 1:51:59Speaker 2: pretty self expl.
- 1:52:00Speaker 5: In a tory.
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: It is some chicks that really really have bad backs. One, two,

- 1:52:24Speaker 5: Dylan?

- 1:53:38Speaker 2: I haven't done it, you legit have no idea how
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: many stenue with that category? How many categories there are?
- 1:53:44Speaker 2: I mean you have, don't Would you let me read
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: some of them?
- 1:53:46Speaker 3: Sure?
- 1:53:47Speaker 2: Okay, on a one second, let me bring up the
- 1:53:48Speaker 2: list on the company server. Blame it on the cocktail,
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: blame it on the cocktails. But then here we go,
- 1:53:57Speaker 2: Oh wow, this is a research Yeah, this is research categories.

- 1:54:09Speaker 2: Airplane, oh, amateur, fetish, amputee, wearing glasses, uh, giantess in
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: other words, gigantic women, gagging foot job, quarantine, I mean
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: it goes hell, it goes uh, pirates, no.
- 1:54:37Speaker 3: Wonder, aliens don't come down here. They're like, dude, you
- 1:54:40Speaker 3: check that out. They've got a category called quarantine.
- 1:54:42Speaker 2: Seem like some of them I can't even read, Like
- 1:54:44Speaker 2: all the ethnics, like Russian Filipino. They have all of those.
- 1:54:49Speaker 2: It in a little box that tells you how many
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: of those titles they have.
- 1:54:52Speaker 3: Now, do they have Colombians? They have to have Columbia.
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: I think they do have only.
- 1:54:58Speaker 5: Our faults under round and brown or Latinos.
- 1:55:00Speaker 4: Yeah, or bad Bunny.
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: No Colombians. No, no, no, no no, because we'll cut you

- 1:55:25Speaker 3: What smell like you'reine in the streets?
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: Can I ask a question about a title if I
- 1:55:30Speaker 2: don't know what the name, if I don't know what
- 1:55:32Speaker 2: it means. In other words, it would be scary for
- 1:55:34Speaker 2: me to say a word that is a title for
- 1:55:37Speaker 2: one of these categories, but I don't know what it means.
- 1:55:40Speaker 2: Is that bad?
- 1:55:41Speaker 5: All right?
- 1:55:42Speaker 3: We can dump it if we have to.
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: What is tribbing?
- 1:55:48Speaker 5: Good question?
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a title for here. I have no idea,
- 1:55:55Speaker 2: you know, I ain't clicking on it that ain't never happen,
- 1:55:59Speaker 2: that ain't ever happened.
- 1:56:00Speaker 5: That shuts down everybody.
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: Yeah do it. There's one here for trampling in other words,
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: I guess you like getting pound or like stomped on?
- 1:56:09Speaker 3: Those are those can be even worse than that?
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: Really? Yeah? What is that?
- 1:56:14Speaker 4: That is a fetish of women wearing high heels?
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that's good. I'm good and trampling
- 1:56:21Speaker 2: tan lines they have about here, that one that just
- 1:56:24Speaker 2: has Swedish language, I guess, and they just talk to
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: you in Swedish.
- 1:56:27Speaker 4: Well, all I know is that when I was growing up,
- 1:56:29Speaker 4: the Swedes were the freaks of the world.
- 1:56:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's where it all started. Like that erotica
- 1:56:33Speaker 2: thing was the whole thing that.
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:56:34Speaker 4: Then you haven't seen a Japanese pillow book, my friend,
- 1:56:41Speaker 4: or read any of the works of in nin.
- 1:56:46Speaker 2: This is what happens on this show.
- 1:56:49Speaker 5: A couple of.
- 1:56:52Speaker 2: Cherry coke. This is what happens on this show. Like
- 1:56:55Speaker 2: known her for a long time, seven off to her
- 1:56:58Speaker 2: every day for four hours more than three feet apart
- 1:57:01Speaker 2: as we sit right now, and then occasionally you'll look
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: over and go no, no, no, And then you'll be bam
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: bam bam right in the face. I'm like, I know,
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: I know it all. I know nothing, I know.
- 1:57:14Speaker 5: Nothing any was it an a Chang nin nin and I.
- 1:57:19Speaker 4: End with an erotica writer from the early nineteen twenty.
- 1:57:24Speaker 5: And I raised you Anne Rice.
- 1:57:26Speaker 3: Ah beauty, the claiming of sleeping beauty.
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: Have you ever read those books?
- 1:57:29Speaker 5: Yes? I did in college.
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: I have. Can I just leave him? Is it good?
- 1:57:33Speaker 4: I have never looked at Anne Rice the same. I
- 1:57:36Speaker 4: mean some of the most brutal BDSM written in those books.
- 1:57:41Speaker 5: But smoke it hot.
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: I mean hot, like worse than the shades of gray stuff.
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: Oh that's that. That's a child's players.
- 1:57:49Speaker 4: That's where they learned it from. I can bring you
- 1:57:53Speaker 4: in the books, but I mean it makes you like, oh.
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: Oh, what are the pictures only in your mind?
- 1:58:05Speaker 5: Really?
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: Japanese pillow books?
- 1:58:07Speaker 2: What's a pillow book? It was something that Japanese.
- 1:58:11Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:58:11Speaker 2: I think it's commerce sutra kind of thing.
- 1:58:13Speaker 4: No commas, because that's Indian. And the first time I
- 1:58:16Speaker 4: saw a copy of the Kamma Sutra, apparently it was
- 1:58:18Speaker 4: still banned in the United States, but I found it
- 1:58:20Speaker 4: in an antique bookstore in Madison, Wisconsin.
- 1:58:23Speaker 2: And that's just a position thing, right, That's just a
- 1:58:25Speaker 2: I mean position, And.
- 1:58:27Speaker 4: Yeah, a way of elevating you know, your consciousness by
- 1:58:31Speaker 4: you know, basically standing on your head for several hours.
- 1:58:34Speaker 4: But you've never like tried to do a checklist off
- 1:58:36Speaker 4: of all of the Comma suits.
- 1:58:37Speaker 5: No.
- 1:58:38Speaker 2: Hell, I've never even opened one of those things. Why
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: would I do that, dude? I'm a straight up missionary
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: Republican with a tiny bit of tain fishing. We talked
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: about this yesterday. Tiny bit and the standard size honky
- 1:58:51Speaker 2: and the standard issue honkey. Everybody knows this.
- 1:58:54Speaker 12: Look.
- 1:58:54Speaker 2: I'm a transparent, im like this administration. I'm a transparent.
- 1:59:00Speaker 2: See you right through me like a piece of cell
- 1:59:02Speaker 2: a fane. Tell us more about yours angel.
- 1:59:07Speaker 5: Taming the Sleeping Beauty.
- 1:59:08Speaker 6: I'm over here trying to order a pillow book. I
- 1:59:13Speaker 6: think the Amazon has it, but I want to make
- 1:59:15Speaker 6: sure it's the right one.
- 1:59:16Speaker 3: I can bring the one I have in tomorrow.
- 1:59:18Speaker 2: Is it well used?
- 1:59:19Speaker 6: It's Saturday. It's Saturday, that's true. And then I would
- 1:59:22Speaker 6: be afraid if like pages were stuck together that that
- 1:59:26Speaker 6: would make it awkward.
- 1:59:27Speaker 2: Does that cheet fingerprint on.
- 1:59:31Speaker 5: Cigarette birds?
- 1:59:33Speaker 4: Oh yeah, a little bit of ashes in the binding,
- 1:59:36Speaker 4: don't worry about it. But aristocracy, Japanese aristocracy. The women
- 1:59:42Speaker 4: would leave these pillow books. They would have drawings, jokes, poems.
- 1:59:47Speaker 4: There is a specific style.
- 1:59:49Speaker 2: Scratch, get out of here, dude, Okay, you very much.
- 1:59:53Speaker 3: There's a specific style of these artistry.
- 1:59:55Speaker 4: You've you've seen the paintings right where everything is oversized. Okay, Well,
- 2:00:00Speaker 4: that's a belief because sexuality is a gift from God.
- 2:00:03Speaker 4: So that's why they always created these oversized genitalia and
- 2:00:06Speaker 4: these pillow books, these aristata, these aristatic aristack. These women
- 2:00:16Speaker 4: who were upper yeah, upper echelon women would leave these
- 2:00:19Speaker 4: on the pillows of their lovers.
- 2:00:21Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:00:21Speaker 2: Really yeah, sexy.
- 2:00:24Speaker 4: Some of the jokes actually still Okay, see, I'm telling
- 2:00:28Speaker 4: you it's not that rare.
- 2:00:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Hold on, I got a feeling I'm being punked
- 2:00:33Speaker 2: right now, and I'm gonna go to this and it's
- 2:00:35Speaker 2: gonna be something swinging it around. You are not well.
- 2:00:39Speaker 5: Remember she said it's exaggerated.
- 2:00:41Speaker 4: It is exaggerated, and and there's a specific reason for that.
- 2:00:44Speaker 4: It's because they they believe that again this artwork, sexuality
- 2:00:49Speaker 4: is a gift from God. So you can't have a
- 2:00:52Speaker 4: standard sized honky when it's a gift from.
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: Oh okay, there you go. Not damn put that thing.
- 2:01:01Speaker 2: Wait before you hurt somebody. I got mine?

- 2:02:52Speaker 2: it's been longer than that.
- 2:02:54Speaker 6: Well, I'm getting so being in the building, I'm getting
- 2:02:57Speaker 6: close to eighteen nineteen?
- 2:02:58Speaker 2: Is it really night on?
- 2:03:00Speaker 6: The monsters have been thirteen so in that window, because
- 2:03:04Speaker 6: there was the years that I was working in promo
- 2:03:05Speaker 6: and doing room. I was in the building, but I
- 2:03:08Speaker 6: wasn't working on the station. Yeah, legitimately, anyway.
- 2:03:10Speaker 2: I don't know that you're a gamer or not. I
- 2:03:12Speaker 2: have no idea about your gaming prig I don't, I
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: promise you.
- 2:03:16Speaker 5: I think I'm hurt.
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: Yeah, because you asked them on a PlayStation earlier.
- 2:03:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I was always yeah ps five than yes, thank you.
- 2:03:24Speaker 6: I've been about a grand theft aut it was my favorite.
- 2:03:27Speaker 6: I'm on there like at least ten hours a week.
- 2:03:32Speaker 6: I definitely I still play Madden when I first got
- 2:03:35Speaker 6: put on, when I first was interning.
- 2:03:38Speaker 5: This is back in the day I was.
- 2:03:39Speaker 6: I got invited to where Jack and Auto would host these,
- 2:03:43Speaker 6: uh with Xbox, these Halo kind of elaborate games game
- 2:03:48Speaker 6: nights at their place. Like there'd be ten guys. Everyone
- 2:03:52Speaker 6: brings in their own monitor, they connect them all together
- 2:03:54Speaker 6: and everything, and we would play Halo all night long.
- 2:03:57Speaker 7: Yeah, giant land party. Yeah, yeah, it is called a
- 2:04:01Speaker 7: land party.
- 2:04:01Speaker 2: Really.
- 2:04:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:04:02Speaker 7: Nowadays you can just join an actual party on the console.
- 2:04:05Speaker 7: But back in the days you had before me.
- 2:04:07Speaker 5: Yeah, you had to bring your console and you had
- 2:04:08Speaker 5: to bring your to your monitor.
- 2:04:10Speaker 7: Yeah, you had to bring the whole the whole nine.
- 2:04:12Speaker 7: You had to bring everything you possibly had, and then
- 2:04:14Speaker 7: you just sit in this little like square with your
- 2:04:16Speaker 7: buddies and you're just playing on the.
- 2:04:17Speaker 5: Little lamd party.
- 2:04:18Speaker 2: That sounds so straight.
- 2:04:19Speaker 5: You know.
- 2:04:23Speaker 2: So straight. Jane joins us for eight Bit Update every
- 2:04:26Speaker 2: single Friday around this time. They'll give us an update
- 2:04:28Speaker 2: on what's happening out there in the world of gaming.
- 2:04:29Speaker 2: What is going on out there, buddy.
- 2:04:30Speaker 7: We talked about Wolverine not too long ago. We got
- 2:04:32Speaker 7: a little bit of an update on that. It is
- 2:04:35Speaker 7: now in the PlayStation stores. You can add it to
- 2:04:37Speaker 7: the wish list. You can't pre order it yet, but
- 2:04:39Speaker 7: you can add it to your wish list. So you
- 2:04:41Speaker 7: added to the wish list, it tells you when you
- 2:04:43Speaker 7: can pre order it and everything. So the game's finally
- 2:04:45Speaker 7: coming out. We're just getting closer and closer by the minute.
- 2:04:48Speaker 2: And that's a big deal.
- 2:04:49Speaker 7: Oh yeah, huge deal. This I told you last time.
- 2:04:50Speaker 7: The game has been in development for like five six
- 2:04:52Speaker 7: years at this point. Yeah, so finally we're getting some
- 2:04:55Speaker 7: good news on silverin.
- 2:04:57Speaker 2: So when they put that, when they put that up
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: and they say you can't in advance or whatever, why do
- 2:05:01Speaker 2: they put it up. Is it just like an ad
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: to let you know that it's a trailer.
- 2:05:04Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 2:05:04Speaker 6: Yeah, if you get a chance, you got to watch
- 2:05:06Speaker 6: the trailer for this thing, because it's absolutely.
- 2:05:08Speaker 2: Ridiculous, is it.
- 2:05:09Speaker 6: Yeah? The game played, the movement of Wolverine. Just the
- 2:05:12Speaker 6: things that you're gonna do, and yeah, that's how you
- 2:05:14Speaker 6: get them on the hook, and that you get everybody
- 2:05:16Speaker 6: to put it in there in their basket and everything
- 2:05:18Speaker 6: so when it drops, you know, boom, you.
- 2:05:20Speaker 5: Crash the servers.
- 2:05:21Speaker 2: Better than the game I'm playing now, RoboCop Rogue City.
- 2:05:24Speaker 4: Absolutely okay, Hey, I love the young and the older
- 2:05:29Speaker 4: hate that you're getting your bookmarked.
- 2:05:31Speaker 2: Yeah, my generation is going uh just slow your old ug.
- 2:05:35Speaker 7: Hey, he found a game, he likes it and I
- 2:05:37Speaker 7: support it. So dead Space, the original dead Space creator,
- 2:05:45Speaker 7: after seventeen years, wants to get back into making dead
- 2:05:47Speaker 7: Space video games. There's been three of them. The first
- 2:05:50Speaker 7: two were really good. The fourth one or the third
- 2:05:53Speaker 7: one not good at all, not good reviews. They just
- 2:05:56Speaker 7: remastered the first one. It's like a sci fi horde.
- 2:06:00Speaker 7: It's super dark, like you can't see anything, but you're
- 2:06:03Speaker 7: on the spaceship. You got aliens coming at you and
- 2:06:05Speaker 7: you just gotta survive.
- 2:06:07Speaker 2: When they update these games, because we talked about this
- 2:06:09Speaker 2: last week with a game that you said they updated
- 2:06:11Speaker 2: a couple of times. When they go into update, is
- 2:06:13Speaker 2: it basically like you said just making it, making the
- 2:06:15Speaker 2: graphics better and clearer. Do they add context to it
- 2:06:18Speaker 2: that they add etra characters? Is there more dialogue or
- 2:06:21Speaker 2: anything like that.
- 2:06:22Speaker 7: There might be a little more dialogue stuff that in
- 2:06:24Speaker 7: it they didn't put in the original game, and they
- 2:06:26Speaker 7: found a place for it now. But for the most part,
- 2:06:28Speaker 7: it's just making the game updated.
- 2:06:29Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:06:30Speaker 7: Yeah, that's the best way to go for the remastered.
- 2:06:33Speaker 7: But yeah, the creator after seventeen years is like, hey,
- 2:06:35Speaker 7: you guys aren't doing much with my IP. Give me
- 2:06:38Speaker 7: it back so I can make some video games, which
- 2:06:39Speaker 7: is always a good thing. Original creators on video games
- 2:06:42Speaker 7: is what it should be.
- 2:06:43Speaker 2: Cool.
- 2:06:44Speaker 7: Companies to spaming out games. We talked about the EA buyout.
- 2:06:48Speaker 2: Yeah, fifty five billion dollars from the Saudis.
- 2:06:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:06:51Speaker 5: Well another thing, Saudi Boss. Yeah.
- 2:06:53Speaker 7: Well, we're we're trying to stop this. Senators have put
- 2:06:57Speaker 7: in letters saying, hey, this, this is not right. This
- 2:07:00Speaker 7: is internal affairs. They're trying to get this block. They
- 2:07:03Speaker 7: don't think this is good for the US. They don't
- 2:07:05Speaker 7: think any.
- 2:07:05Speaker 2: Like as a spy capability or whatever, because using the
- 2:07:08Speaker 2: consoles and people's homes to spy on their data and
- 2:07:10Speaker 2: stuff in their computers.
- 2:07:11Speaker 6: That's that's exactly what I think what you could do
- 2:07:14Speaker 6: with the manipulation of titles of games. Yeah, you know,
- 2:07:17Speaker 6: we we're getting freaked out about the content that's on TikTok. Now,
- 2:07:21Speaker 6: imagine you, you know, under the guise if it's a
- 2:07:23Speaker 6: video game and you got you know, some espionage or
- 2:07:25Speaker 6: whatever kind of thing going on, but it's uh, actually
- 2:07:28Speaker 6: that gaming. Sorry, so oh well, let me walk that
- 2:07:31Speaker 6: one back.
- 2:07:35Speaker 2: Uh.
- 2:07:35Speaker 7: So they're just trying to push it back. They're saying,
- 2:07:38Speaker 7: this is not good for America. Please stop this.
- 2:07:40Speaker 5: Now.
- 2:07:41Speaker 7: I don't think it's going to get stopped, but we're
- 2:07:43Speaker 7: making an effort at least.
- 2:07:45Speaker 2: Yeah, fifty five billion says it's probably not a getting
- 2:07:47Speaker 2: even slowed down.
- 2:07:48Speaker 7: Oh, they probably would.
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: And now that the Saudi money has been almost like normalized,
- 2:07:52Speaker 2: now you know, people get this out the reach the
- 2:07:55Speaker 2: comedy fest. I mean, it's almost like completely normalized to
- 2:07:58Speaker 2: bring Soudi money into America. That would have an absolute
- 2:08:01Speaker 2: no no when I was a kid, but now it
- 2:08:02Speaker 2: seems to be like perfectly fine.
- 2:08:03Speaker 7: Every company at this point takes money from Saldi and
- 2:08:06Speaker 7: I just don't understand it. They're everywhere, but at least
- 2:08:08Speaker 7: someone's trying to be like, get back.
- 2:08:10Speaker 6: They'll push it back a little sidebar when you get
- 2:08:12Speaker 6: a chance for Jimmy, look up the the movie studio
- 2:08:15Speaker 6: backed by that same fund out of Saudi Arabia, right
- 2:08:18Speaker 6: and look at the actors and everybody that are excited
- 2:08:21Speaker 6: about it. Wow, it's and we're talking billions of seed,
- 2:08:24Speaker 6: billions of dollars of seed money to start this.
- 2:08:26Speaker 7: Oh yeah, it's something. We got a new Pokemon game.
- 2:08:30Speaker 7: You guys know I love Pokemon. I got a Pokemon
- 2:08:32Speaker 7: tattooed onto me, so I'm very excited for this. Legend
- 2:08:35Speaker 7: Za came out another spin off in their Legends title
- 2:08:38Speaker 7: Legend Archaists came out a couple of years ago. At
- 2:08:41Speaker 7: this point, this is the first huge release for the
- 2:08:43Speaker 7: Nintendo switch to. They couldn't have picked a better game,
- 2:08:46Speaker 7: because Pokemon is always going to sell. No matter what
- 2:08:49Speaker 7: you do to that ip, it will get bought. They
- 2:08:52Speaker 7: changed the battling system, they changed the way you can
- 2:08:54Speaker 7: shiny hunt, They made the game overall easier for new
- 2:08:57Speaker 7: players really to just load into Pokemon.
- 2:09:00Speaker 2: And you say, this is the first major roll out
- 2:09:01Speaker 2: for that new console that handheld, Yeah, switch.
- 2:09:04Speaker 7: Yeah, the switch. This is I mean, they've had a
- 2:09:05Speaker 7: couple releases at this point, but nothing like Pokemon. It's
- 2:09:08Speaker 7: one of their biggest ips.
- 2:09:09Speaker 2: And do they build a game specifically for that machine?
- 2:09:12Speaker 2: Is that what makes it so unique is because the
- 2:09:14Speaker 2: parameters of the game work real easily with the particular
- 2:09:17Speaker 2: like with a monitor that you're provided.
- 2:09:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:09:19Speaker 7: So with these early earlier games come into the switch console.
- 2:09:23Speaker 7: Not everyone's on the switch console the new switch consoles,
- 2:09:25Speaker 7: so they still release it for the old consoles too,
- 2:09:28Speaker 7: but it's just not as good as compared to the
- 2:09:31Speaker 7: to the new reversion. Say, it looks better, there's more
- 2:09:33Speaker 7: stuff you can do, it can handle more. Just if
- 2:09:35Speaker 7: you're gonna play it, I wouldn't buy it on your
- 2:09:38Speaker 7: current switch, like I'm waiting to get the switch to,
- 2:09:40Speaker 7: which honestly, I might get the switch to just to
- 2:09:42Speaker 7: play this game here pretty soon.
- 2:09:43Speaker 5: Are you serious? Oh?
- 2:09:44Speaker 2: Yeah? But do those things resell well? Like if I
- 2:09:47Speaker 2: were to buy a switch to and let's say I
- 2:09:48Speaker 2: played it for three or four months and I didn't
- 2:09:50Speaker 2: like it, would I be able to sell it for
- 2:09:52Speaker 2: almost what I paid for it, like fifty hundred dollars less?
- 2:09:54Speaker 5: Maybe?
- 2:09:55Speaker 7: Uh? Yeah, it really just depends on how the market is,
- 2:09:58Speaker 7: Like if for the x When the Xbox and the
- 2:10:00Speaker 7: PlayStation five came out, I'm sure Angel knows about this, well,
- 2:10:03Speaker 7: yeah you could. They were like a grand five hundred
- 2:10:06Speaker 7: more than retail.
- 2:10:06Speaker 2: Dude code, Like, my buddy gave me a couple of
- 2:10:08Speaker 2: the Xboxes back in the day when they first came
- 2:10:10Speaker 2: out with the one that was the wireless one with
- 2:10:12Speaker 2: all the you know, we was the newest, big time upgrade,
- 2:10:15Speaker 2: and we did a giveaway during the COVID years, a
- 2:10:19Speaker 2: summer of summer of fun is what we called it.
- 2:10:21Speaker 2: We never had more reaction from our audience trying to
- 2:10:25Speaker 2: win one singular thing than we did for that Xbox.
- 2:10:27Speaker 7: I believe it. During that time, anyone in everybody would
- 2:10:31Speaker 7: do anything for a console. No one could get their
- 2:10:33Speaker 7: hands on it. But this Pokemon game looks like the
- 2:10:37Speaker 7: best Pokemon game there is. Yes, because they haven't updated
- 2:10:40Speaker 7: Pokemon since that game has launched. That game has been
- 2:10:43Speaker 7: the same for twenty years, so they them adding new
- 2:10:46Speaker 7: mechanics is great. Nintendo's actually doing something. I've called them
- 2:10:50Speaker 7: the laziest company.
- 2:10:50Speaker 2: But yeah, somebody just texting a question said, do you
- 2:10:55Speaker 2: have a recommendation for the best all in one game system,
- 2:10:57Speaker 2: so I can play Nintendo sets the whole on art.
- 2:11:01Speaker 7: I mean, if you want to play Nintendo, you're only
- 2:11:03Speaker 7: gonna have to get a Nintendo. But honestly, if you
- 2:11:05Speaker 7: want to play everything PC, I say it all the time.
- 2:11:07Speaker 7: PC is Yeah, it's the best way to go.
- 2:11:09Speaker 2: And I know that Alienware sells the PCs, but they're
- 2:11:12Speaker 2: also very, very expensive. Is there another place where you
- 2:11:15Speaker 2: could buy a gaming PC and not have to spend
- 2:11:17Speaker 2: like four grand to get one?
- 2:11:18Speaker 7: I got a pre built from best Buy and it's
- 2:11:20Speaker 7: worked like a charm.
- 2:11:21Speaker 5: I love it.
- 2:11:22Speaker 7: I got it on a Black Friday sales, so it's
- 2:11:24Speaker 7: really watch out for those deals. Those rills are killer.
- 2:11:27Speaker 7: I got my pre built for like four hundred dollars
- 2:11:29Speaker 7: off or something.
- 2:11:30Speaker 2: Really.
- 2:11:31Speaker 5: Oh yeah, And so what.
- 2:11:31Speaker 2: You want to do is find out what process are
- 2:11:33Speaker 2: they're putting in it, and what like video card and
- 2:11:35Speaker 2: sound card, Right, that's the most important thing.
- 2:11:37Speaker 7: Yeah, and they list it out for you. They know
- 2:11:40Speaker 7: everything in that computer. Best Buy is a great place
- 2:11:43Speaker 7: to look for a PC, right, Yeah. I had no.
- 2:11:46Speaker 2: Problems, and a lot of gamers build their own.
- 2:11:48Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I if they're dedicated enough. I'm not dead.
- 2:11:50Speaker 7: I would smash that computer before I'm done building it.
- 2:11:53Speaker 5: You can't know this.
- 2:11:54Speaker 6: And then there's the interesting thing that also there's not
- 2:11:56Speaker 6: gonna says Beef, but there's contention right far between, like
- 2:11:59Speaker 6: the guys that do the PC route to play their
- 2:12:01Speaker 6: games and then the guys to do the console. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 2:12:03Speaker 6: there's always little fricks in there.
- 2:12:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:12:05Speaker 5: And then you have people like me, I heard this
- 2:12:07Speaker 5: about it.
- 2:12:08Speaker 7: Well, don't worry about I have both.
- 2:12:09Speaker 9: I have both.
- 2:12:10Speaker 2: We're good. We're good guys.
- 2:12:13Speaker 7: Speaking of consoles xboxes, it's kind of it's weird what's
- 2:12:17Speaker 7: going on with Xbox. So in twenty twenty five, Costco
- 2:12:20Speaker 7: took off Xbox off the shelf, games, consoles, everything, and
- 2:12:23Speaker 7: now other people are following that trend. Target and Walmart
- 2:12:26Speaker 7: they're taking Xbox off consoles. Sam's Clubs just put all
- 2:12:30Speaker 7: their Xbox on clearance. I'm assuming to get rid of
- 2:12:33Speaker 7: it at all. And I really don't know why. I
- 2:12:35Speaker 7: was trying to like look into this more and figure
- 2:12:38Speaker 7: out what's going on. I can't find anything, and I
- 2:12:40Speaker 7: think it's just the digital markets taking over for Microsoft anything.
- 2:12:44Speaker 2: Really, Yeah, so that would be a sign maybe not
- 2:12:46Speaker 2: to invest one of those things simply because you don't
- 2:12:48Speaker 2: know if it's gonna be around anymore. If I mean,
- 2:12:49Speaker 2: are they gonna rule that, Are they gonna Are they
- 2:12:51Speaker 2: gonna because you said they were about to do a
- 2:12:53Speaker 2: new one, aren't they?
- 2:12:53Speaker 7: Yeah, they're it got it's not totally confirmed that that
- 2:12:57Speaker 7: could be what it is. But at the same time,
- 2:12:58Speaker 7: it's so weird because Xbox three sixties were on shelves
- 2:13:02Speaker 7: for five years after the Xbox One came out, So
- 2:13:05Speaker 7: I just don't it has to be a business decision somewhere.
- 2:13:09Speaker 2: Me if they're about to release a new one're getting
- 2:13:11Speaker 2: ready to drop something. Yeah, yeah, they would pull all
- 2:13:13Speaker 2: that stuff off there and put it in clearance and
- 2:13:14Speaker 2: get the shelves and not have any old inventory out
- 2:13:17Speaker 2: there at all.
- 2:13:18Speaker 7: Yeah, but they they haven't even announced the new console. Everything.
- 2:13:22Speaker 7: Everything that's come out about that new consoles is from
- 2:13:24Speaker 7: insiders or people in the building just chit chatting about it.
- 2:13:28Speaker 7: So if nothing's even fully confirmed, and that's and that's
- 2:13:31Speaker 7: the crazy part, why are you taking your stuff off shelves?
- 2:13:34Speaker 7: Why is it going on clearance?
- 2:13:35Speaker 2: It trust means up by accident, No, no.
- 2:13:37Speaker 4: No for to see a story about that the other day,
- 2:13:39Speaker 4: about how Microsoft is moving away from consoles because they
- 2:13:42Speaker 4: believe digital gaming is going to take it over.
- 2:13:44Speaker 7: They're huge and digital and the problem with digital gaming
- 2:13:47Speaker 7: is they can take games from you whenever they want to.
- 2:13:50Speaker 7: It's not yours when you buy digital.
- 2:13:52Speaker 3: So that explains why they're switching to digital.
- 2:13:54Speaker 7: It's still Microsoft's and Xbox when it's digitally no matter
- 2:13:57Speaker 7: how much you pay for it, no matter what you say,
- 2:13:59Speaker 7: we still own it. You sign it a term in
- 2:14:01Speaker 7: agreements when you make an egdox account.
- 2:14:03Speaker 2: So like you're releasing it almost.
- 2:14:04Speaker 7: Yeah, that's what it is.
- 2:14:05Speaker 4: It was a big story on ABC News this week
- 2:14:07Speaker 4: about how Microsoft is like, yeah, no, we're not in
- 2:14:09Speaker 4: the console game anymore.
- 2:14:10Speaker 3: We think digital is the way to go.
- 2:14:12Speaker 2: And look, man, these people are not making moves that
- 2:14:13Speaker 2: are stupid when you consider the gaming industry is worth
- 2:14:16Speaker 2: more than the movie music and well, there's a podcasting
- 2:14:19Speaker 2: business combined. Like it's bananas, dude. Actually, somebody has a
- 2:14:23Speaker 2: question is do you can you suggest a mod on
- 2:14:25Speaker 2: why T?
- 2:14:27Speaker 5: Why T?
- 2:14:27Speaker 2: I don't know that is YouTube?
- 2:14:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't. You got me to go go?
- 2:14:32Speaker 7: You're fine? How are you liking RoboCop.
- 2:14:37Speaker 5: I love it.
- 2:14:38Speaker 2: I mean, I'm telling you it's so much fun.
- 2:14:39Speaker 5: Man.
- 2:14:39Speaker 2: I've really enjoyed playing it, and you know, before I
- 2:14:43Speaker 2: would have to force myself to find time for it.
- 2:14:45Speaker 2: But I'm always digging up half an hour or you know,
- 2:14:47Speaker 2: forty five minutes or something to sit and just blow
- 2:14:49Speaker 2: people away with my magic pistol.
- 2:14:51Speaker 7: Are you close to the end? Do you have no?
- 2:14:53Speaker 2: No, dude, I'm not even close to the end. I
- 2:14:55Speaker 2: think I'm out of scene one. Maybe you know, but
- 2:14:57Speaker 2: I meant actually, I don't even care, dude. I'm just
- 2:15:00Speaker 2: still trying to make him run a new cool stuff
- 2:15:02Speaker 2: and shoot that pistol as a monster did. I love it,
- 2:15:05Speaker 2: And I'm learning how to outline the bad guy so
- 2:15:07Speaker 2: I can see him in the dark and stuff.
- 2:15:08Speaker 7: It's great, dude, you're really learning right now. We got
- 2:15:11Speaker 7: to get you on a stream one day or something.
- 2:15:12Speaker 2: It's like, I'm not doing that, dude. You'll left at me.
- 2:15:16Speaker 5: That's the point.
- 2:15:16Speaker 7: Yeah, we talked about all these consoles. Xbox isn't really
- 2:15:20Speaker 7: doing what they're supposed to the switches though. They they're
- 2:15:23Speaker 7: producing more and more consoles, which I'm assuming because poke
- 2:15:26Speaker 7: Bon's coming out, it's gonna be in a higher demand
- 2:15:28Speaker 7: for the next couple of months. So they're like, hey,
- 2:15:30Speaker 7: we're gonna put out all these consoles for Christmas time.
- 2:15:32Speaker 7: All of it's coming out. Oh yeah, they're about to
- 2:15:34Speaker 7: make a killing. They will make so much money it
- 2:15:36Speaker 7: will be record.
- 2:15:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:15:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's wild though, that they you know, they make
- 2:15:40Speaker 2: Obviously they make money on the hardware, but you buy
- 2:15:42Speaker 2: that hardware one time every two or three years because
- 2:15:45Speaker 2: it lasts pretty well. But you're writing that software more often.
- 2:15:47Speaker 7: Though, right, Yeah, dude, I've been running my switch since
- 2:15:50Speaker 7: like twenty twenty.
- 2:15:51Speaker 2: Dude, Oh yeah, that switch.
- 2:15:53Speaker 7: Only the only time I even bring out my switch
- 2:15:55Speaker 7: is when I'm on an airplane.
- 2:15:56Speaker 4: Really, oh yeah, you know, every time I see switch,
- 2:15:59Speaker 4: I think someone is gonna have to go out and
- 2:16:00Speaker 4: cut their own switch.
- 2:16:02Speaker 3: To get a beating.
- 2:16:04Speaker 2: It means I have no clue on it.
- 2:16:05Speaker 7: I just laughed like I did.
- 2:16:07Speaker 1: I actually a little bit.
- 2:16:08Speaker 2: Back in the day, when we were kids and we
- 2:16:10Speaker 2: were bad, your own parents would send you out to
- 2:16:12Speaker 2: a tree and you would cut a piece of limb
- 2:16:14Speaker 2: off of it bring that to them so they could
- 2:16:16Speaker 2: beat you with it.
- 2:16:16Speaker 3: If it wasn't bad.
- 2:16:17Speaker 4: Enough or big enough, they'd make you go out and
- 2:16:19Speaker 4: cut it again, or they would go out and make
- 2:16:21Speaker 4: their choice.
- 2:16:22Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:16:22Speaker 7: Oh, that sounds like the worst punishment of all time.
- 2:16:25Speaker 2: It's not fun.
- 2:16:26Speaker 7: That was out your video games back in the day.
- 2:16:28Speaker 1: Right.
- 2:16:31Speaker 3: You?
- 2:16:33Speaker 2: It was Frogger Donkey Kong and avoided beating.
- 2:16:35Speaker 7: Right, that's the top three game of all time, right there?
- 2:16:40Speaker 2: All right, one last thing for us, pig Dog.
- 2:16:43Speaker 7: Well, I really wanted you. I wanted to give you
- 2:16:45Speaker 7: a new game this week. That was gonna be my one.
- 2:16:48Speaker 2: Give me one because I can download it and still
- 2:16:50Speaker 2: kind of tool around. Well I'm still playing the other one.
- 2:16:52Speaker 7: So this game is kind of like Robocock more more jokey.
- 2:16:55Speaker 7: Have you ever watched Rick and Morty?
- 2:16:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, well just with I didn't. I didn't
- 2:17:01Speaker 2: get it as much as they expected me to.
- 2:17:03Speaker 7: Okay, fair enough, Well, this game is made by the
- 2:17:06Speaker 7: same people.
- 2:17:07Speaker 3: We never expected you to get Rick and Morty.
- 2:17:11Speaker 7: This game's made by the same people that made Rick
- 2:17:13Speaker 7: and Morty. Justin Roy Linden not not the greatest guy,
- 2:17:16Speaker 7: but this is a good game.
- 2:17:17Speaker 5: He's a oh yeah, don't do a deep dive on
- 2:17:20Speaker 5: my guy.
- 2:17:20Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, oh yeah, yeah, no.
- 2:17:21Speaker 5: Don't look him up, don't.
- 2:17:29Speaker 2: All right, Welcome back to the jimp Over Show, Roll
- 2:17:31Speaker 2: Radio one oh four point one. If you haven't gotten

- 2:17:51Speaker 3: That's right.
- 2:17:52Speaker 5: Welcome back. I'm Jim.
- 2:17:53Speaker 2: There's Deb Hello Angel here as well. Yeah, thanks Angel again.
- 2:17:56Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 2:17:59Speaker 2: Let's do your heard it here first? Let's do it there.
- 2:18:01Speaker 2: Reason to wait a minute longer? I agree, it's time
- 2:18:06Speaker 2: for you heard it here first?
- 2:18:08Speaker 1: On the Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:18:09Speaker 2: All right.
- 2:18:10Speaker 4: A judge will allow cameras in the court room for
- 2:18:13Speaker 4: former football player Mark Sanchez's criminal case. Sanchez faces multiple
- 2:18:17Speaker 4: charges in connection with an October fourth incident that left
- 2:18:21Speaker 4: him stabbed multiple times. The judge's predecessor and the proceedings
- 2:18:25Speaker 4: had declined to permit cameras, but individual judges have discretion.
- 2:18:29Speaker 3: To allow them.
- 2:18:30Speaker 4: Multiple pre trial hearings have been set in addition to
- 2:18:33Speaker 4: a December eleventh trialed eight back here closer to home,
- 2:18:37Speaker 4: Prosecutors are asking a judge to revoke the bail of
- 2:18:40Speaker 4: a man accused of attacking a jogger on the Little
- 2:18:42Speaker 4: Econ Greenway trail back in July because he made a
- 2:18:46Speaker 4: series of social media posts about a witness in the
- 2:18:49Speaker 4: case after he bailed out, something the judge had specifically said,
- 2:18:53Speaker 4: if I get even an inkling that you have violated
- 2:18:57Speaker 4: under these conditions, you will be held back in jail
- 2:19:00Speaker 4: on a no bond warrant. This comes as he also
- 2:19:03Speaker 4: faces a new charge of attempted murder. Prosecutors also said
- 2:19:07Speaker 4: he had plans to flee to Texas before his arrest.
- 2:19:10Speaker 4: Tilman was also found guilty of a second incident involving
- 2:19:13Speaker 4: a female jogger back in twenty twenty two.
