- 1:13It's very, very easy. And now, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:18he's never, I don't remember him being on a show.
- 1:21He's never been on a show. And very surprising because
- 1:24we've had a lot of Hall of Fame play by play guys on our show.
- 1:27And we are now talking to one, the one and only Hall of Fame,
- 1:31play by play broadcaster. The one, the only.
- 1:35Yes, the Atlanta Hawks. The Atlanta Hawks broadcaster.
- 1:39Bob Rathbin. Bob, what's up, buddy?
- 1:43Hey guys, it's good to be with you.
- 1:45How are you all? We're good, man.
- 1:47I mean, obviously you're doing better than we are.
- 1:49I mean, how many sports are you broadcasting right now being a
- 1:53play by play guy? You're doing football, you're
- 1:56doing basketball, college basketball, you're doing NBA
- 1:59basketball, you're doing WNBA basketball.
- 2:02Who's better than you? Bob, it's a very short list.
- 2:07No, I'm just kidding. Listen, I've been doing this
- 2:10since I was 12 years old and I was on the air full time when I
- 2:15was 19. I would not know how to get
- 2:18another job. So I'm very fortunate that it
- 2:20all worked out. It definitely has.
- 2:23I mean, you're a Hall of Famer. How many Hall of Famers are
- 2:26there in broadcasting? Not many of them, especially
- 2:28play by play guys. So it's pretty incredible.
- 2:31We have one of them on the show. We've interviewed a lot of them.
- 2:34Speedy has got a lot of Hall of Famers on our show.
- 2:37I'm intrigued to hear what you got to say about your Atlanta
- 2:40Hawks because I can't stand two players on that roster right
- 2:44now. One of them that was just traded
- 2:47to your team. And Chris tops for singers, but
- 2:49one that every single time he comes to Madison Square Garden,
- 2:54he has interesting things to say about the fans.
- 2:58The one and only Trey Young. Your thoughts to two guys that I
- 3:02can't stand. Well, I've got to get to know
- 3:07Porzingis. I, I only know him from afar.
- 3:09He's played against this with about 10 different teams, so
- 3:12it's going to be fun to have him on the Hawks.
- 3:14But of course, everybody's favorite villain is Troy Young.
- 3:19You love to hate because of all of his antics, but I tell you
- 3:22what, in the history of NBA, there are very few people at his
- 3:27size who've been able to do what he has done.
- 3:31You know, three times he's led the league in total assists.
- 3:33He led the league in average assists last year.
- 3:36And this guy's, you know, barely 6 feet tall and weighs 180 lbs
- 3:40silk and wet. And for him to do that in the
- 3:42land of the Giants is is pretty remarkable.
- 3:46You know, it's it, but it is I must say it is a big year for
- 3:49Trey because it's he does not have an extension on his on his
- 3:54contract yet. It could happen, but I think
- 3:57they're going to play out the year and they've surrounded him
- 4:00with a really good team and I think it's up to Trey now to
- 4:03make it into a playoff team and a team that could maybe finish
- 4:08in the top four in the Eastern Conference this year.
- 4:11So I think he's got a lot of pressure on his shoulders.
- 4:13So in your time broadcasting the Atlanta Hawks, they actually had
- 4:16the longest playoff streak in the NBA for a while too, with
- 4:19the guys like Kyle Korver, Jeff Teague, Al Horford was a younger
- 4:22player. What was it like?
- 4:22Broadcast got a lot of those players and a lot of the they
- 4:25didn't make the NBA Finals, but good playoff runs that they had.
- 4:29They did. It was a lot of fun.
- 4:30I think the sixty win team that we had, what was it 10 years
- 4:34ago, something like that was was so exciting because it it just
- 4:39kind of came together. We were a 500 ball club around
- 4:41Thanksgiving and just caught fire all of a sudden and did
- 4:45something that no team and NBA history has ever done and I
- 4:49doubt we'll ever do again. And that was to play the entire
- 4:52month of January and go unbeaten.
- 4:55That's that. It's unheard of.
- 4:57And this team did it. They won 19 straight games at
- 5:00one point, which, you know, that's a basically a quarter of
- 5:03your entire 82 game schedule. So it was a pretty remarkable
- 5:07run. And I swear, if we could have
- 5:10stayed healthy. And how many times have you
- 5:12heard that in the last 10 years? As a Nick fan forever.
- 5:15If, if, yeah, if you, if we could have stayed healthy, I
- 5:18really think we're going to go to the finals.
- 5:19I don't know that we would have beaten Golden State, but I think
- 5:22we would have beaten Cleveland. We sort of had their number, but
- 5:26by the time we got to the Eastern Conference Finals, we
- 5:28were gassed and half the guys were banged up and we couldn't
- 5:32pull it off. But it was a remarkable run.
- 5:34It turned the city on fire. And you know, our our sports
- 5:37history down here in Atlanta is not the best.
- 5:40We've come close with several of our teams.
- 5:42The Braves have broken through a couple of times, but overall
- 5:45that's more heartbreak than anything else.
- 5:47But that was our year is a lot of fun.
- 5:50Yeah, Bob, as you like look back on your career, which you know
- 5:55spans decades and and not many people can say that is, is there
- 5:59one moment where we all have that I've made it moment and for
- 6:03somebody that's done it as long as you have, what was what was
- 6:07that like? First one where you like, you
- 6:09know what, I belong here and and I think I could do this for a
- 6:12long time. Oh boy, that's a great question.
- 6:16I, I think probably going from my hometown, a small town in
- 6:23North Carolina to go to work in Norfolk, VA.
- 6:27And it doesn't sound like that big of a leap.
- 6:30But when you're a young, when you're a young guy just starting
- 6:33off and all of a sudden you're in a Top 40 market and you're on
- 6:37radio and TV and you're calling football, basketball, AAA
- 6:42baseball. I was there at the start of the
- 6:45regional Sports Network when when all that sort of came into
- 6:49existence in the 80s and to do Orioles games and Bullets games
- 6:54and stuff like that. Now that might not move the
- 6:56needle for anybody else, but it, it really did make me that that
- 7:01feeling you're talking about, which is, hey, you've arrived.
- 7:03You, you've got enough talent to do this.
- 7:06Now it's a matter of getting better and, and, and improving
- 7:11and moving up the ladder. And I did from that, I went on
- 7:14to career at CBS and ESPN and you know, we've been here in
- 7:18Atlanta 30 years doing the Hawks, which is an incredibly
- 7:21long run for anybody in any chair in broadcasting.
- 7:24And but I, I look back at that. That's a great question.
- 7:28I, I never really had thought about it, but I think that move,
- 7:30your first big job, sort of gives you that confidence that
- 7:35you, you somebody wanting to take a chance on you and you got
- 7:38a shot. We are talking to Hall of Famer,
- 7:41broadcaster for the Atlanta Hawks, the Atlanta Dream, and
- 7:45many different college football and basketball games.
- 7:48The one and only Bob Rathbin. You know Bob, I am a big and
- 7:54I'll, I'll say this because I've been a big fan of Dominique
- 7:57Wilkins. I love his slam dunk contest
- 7:59with Michael Jordan. I love the back and forth banter
- 8:02that he had against the the one and only Celtics.
- 8:05I mean, Dominique Wilkins was one of my favorite high flying
- 8:10basketball players of of my time watching basketball in the late
- 8:1580s and early 90s. What was it like getting a
- 8:19chance to watch this guy play every single day?
- 8:24Well, not only that, but I, I had a chance to broadcast his
- 8:27games when he was in high school.
- 8:29And we, you know, he grew up in North Carolina.
- 8:32I grew up in North Carolina. And the team that I broadcast
- 8:35for ended up playing his team in the state tournament.
- 8:38And then when I got to Norfolk, VA, talked about I was doing Old
- 8:41Dominion and we played Georgia in an NIT game that Nick played
- 8:46in, and I got to broadcast that. And then I had a chance to
- 8:49broadcast him in the NBA and he's been my partner on the
- 8:51Hawks TV broadcast for the last 15 years.
- 8:54I was just going. To so we have, we have been
- 8:56joined at the hip for a very long time.
- 8:59And I'll tell you guys it, it's with what happens today with
- 9:05load management and all this other nonsense that goes on.
- 9:09People just don't have an appreciation of, you know,
- 9:13unless you're older, but appreciation of what Dominique
- 9:17Wilkins brought every night. He did not disappoint.
- 9:22I mean, he played every game. There was no load management.
- 9:26He he was out there and he was in a in an Eastern Conference
- 9:31with the Celtics and Bird, the Pistons, the Bulls, Milwaukee,
- 9:36Philadelphia, when the East was like the West is today.
- 9:39And he brought it every night. And I don't think people today
- 9:43really can appreciate just how great he was and how hard he
- 9:47played. You know, it's funny, we talk
- 9:49about this a lot. He, it was a badge of honor back
- 9:56in the 80s and 90s in the NBA to play every game.
- 9:58He just didn't come out. You know, first of all, you
- 10:01know, the money wasn't that big and you were kind of scared of
- 10:04losing your job in a way. But you you played every night.
- 10:08It wasn't even a thought of taking a night off, and then
- 10:12today it's a badge of honor to see how many games you can miss
- 10:14and still get paid. That's, that's the crazy thing.
- 10:17I'm sorry to cut you off. That's the crazy thing.
- 10:19And I, I don't like the way the NBA works anymore.
- 10:22And Michael Jordan said it best many, many times.
- 10:25And I, there are many documentaries I've read about
- 10:27Michael Jordan, he said play people.
- 10:29Fans are coming to watch us play.
- 10:32They're going to buy our sneaker.
- 10:33I'm playing 82 games in a season because they're coming to see me
- 10:37play. I think the players don't
- 10:39understand. That's why they don't they come
- 10:42to see these players play. It's not about it's not about
- 10:45how many games they can sit out to play in a playoff game.
- 10:47It's about how many people want to go to get a chance to watch
- 10:51LeBron James play because he's only going to be in a league for
- 10:53a certain amount of time. How many players want to see
- 10:55Mano Ginobili and and Tim Duncan play because there's only a
- 11:00certain amount of time that you going to get a chance to see
- 11:01them. And some of these people over
- 11:04the years, when you when you go to see a game, because Popovich
- 11:08was one of those guys that really, you know, trotted his
- 11:10players out and say, OK, you're sitting tonight and you're
- 11:13playing. You're sitting tonight and
- 11:15you're playing. Greg Popovich was the one that
- 11:17started this. I mean, I don't know if you
- 11:19know. I'm sure you do know that, Bob,
- 11:21but he's the one that started this.
- 11:23And the only reason he got away with it is because they won.
- 11:27If if they had not won championships, it probably would
- 11:30not have caught fire. But it's such a copycat league
- 11:33that, that, that oh, well, the Spurs did it.
- 11:36So let's let we'll try it. You know, it's nonsense.
- 11:40Look at the dunk contest. Nick will say, if you hadn't had
- 11:45him on your show, he would say, why did you compete in all these
- 11:48dunk contests? So we did it because of the
- 11:50fans. The stars of the game owed it to
- 11:54the fans to go out and perform. They didn't care who won.
- 11:59LeBron James has never been in a dunk contest.
- 12:05That's hard to believe. I've got something.
- 12:08I've got something for you, Bob. I got something for you.
- 12:11Because it's not the NBA. It's the LJA, the LeBron James
- 12:15Association. I've said this many times on
- 12:18this show, Adam. And I'll say that Adam Silver
- 12:22over the years has been LeBron James's bitch.
- 12:24OK, Just speaking the truth here.
- 12:27LeBron James does whatever he wants and he gets away with it.
- 12:30And the problem right now with the NBA really stirs because of
- 12:34what LeBron James has done over the Could you, could you tell me
- 12:38a season LeBron James has ever played 82 games?
- 12:41How about this 80 games in a season?
- 12:45Could you remember? Yeah, probably it is younger
- 12:48days, but certainly that's not the case now.
- 12:52But I do think, I do think that's changing.
- 12:54I, I think with our younger stars, I think that is, is
- 12:57changing. But you take a guy like Anthony
- 13:00Edwards, an Atlanta native, just getting a plug in for the
- 13:04hometown kid. But you know, Ant man wants to
- 13:07play, wants to compete, giving it all his all every night
- 13:10doesn't take any nights off. Victor Wimbanyama, when he's
- 13:13healthy, I think he's going to be a guy that's going to play
- 13:15every night and not come out of games.
- 13:17I, I think that's changing and I and I do think it's changing for
- 13:20the better. Owners, shift gears to something
- 13:23earlier in your broadcasting career.
- 13:25In 1987, you did Arena Bowl 87 with Lee Corso, who's one of my
- 13:28favorite, one of my favorite college football guys.
- 13:30What was he like then, and is he like any different from what he
- 13:33is now? No, he's he's the best.
- 13:36Oh my God, he's the best. When he was coaching Indiana, I
- 13:39don't know if you guys know this story, but they had a game at
- 13:42Ohio State and at the Horseshoe and Indiana somehow scores on
- 13:49their first possession. You're like, they win the
- 13:51opening toss coin and and they get the ball and they go down
- 13:55the field and score. And Corso takes the entire team
- 14:00out onto the field, gets the team photographer out there and
- 14:04they take a picture of the entire Indiana football team
- 14:08with the scoreboard in the background.
- 14:09Indiana 7, Ohio State, nothing. And court penalty flags are, you
- 14:16know, there's a hundred flags on the field.
- 14:17Woody Hayes is losing his mind. But that was Lee Corso.
- 14:20And that's the same guy that you saw all those years on ESPN.
- 14:24Funny as all get out. He was terrific.
- 14:26We had so much fun in the summer of 87 doing arena football.
- 14:32You I want to talk about the Braves tenure that you had
- 14:37because being a kid from Nebraska, we we got the Braves
- 14:41every day. So I grew up a Braves fan for
- 14:43TBS. So appreciate that.
- 14:45So a lot of lot of days here in you and and all that stuff on
- 14:49Fox Sports like that team in the 15 pence, but then only went in
- 14:53once. Like to call a team with such
- 14:56great talent and all the time and to come up short like being
- 14:59there and seeing it every day. Was it just as frustrating for
- 15:02you as it was for me as a Braves fan growing up?
- 15:05Yeah, it was, you know, probably in the early to mid 90s when
- 15:12they were at their absolute best.
- 15:14You know, I think down here they feel like the 96 was was the one
- 15:19that really got away. You know, to be up to nothing,
- 15:24to win both games at Yankee Stadium and come home and not be
- 15:28able to put it away. You know, the Layrits 1 nothing
- 15:31game prob. You know, it was just a dagger
- 15:35down here. But when you got into the later
- 15:38years of that run, they really weren't the best team.
- 15:41I mean, they were beat up in 99 when they lost and you know, it
- 15:45was just they were great. The the NL E was not that
- 15:49competitive. So they they were able to
- 15:52dominate the division. But I thought the early 90s when
- 15:55they finally got it going, the Minnesota series, you know, in
- 16:0091, they should have won that one.
- 16:02Probably they they broke through in 95, should have won in 96.
- 16:07So if they'd have won those three, I think we'd have a much,
- 16:10much different opinion about that Braves dinosaur.
- 16:13We are talking to Hall of Famer play by play broadcaster Bob
- 16:16Rathbin. And by the way, this guy's a
- 16:18legend when it comes to broadcasting the Atlanta Hawks,
- 16:21Atlanta Dream right now, WNBA, and both college football and
- 16:25college basketball. He's done it all, ladies and
- 16:27gentlemen, for decades. You know, you look at the NBA,
- 16:31in the state of the NBA right now, we're going into a new
- 16:33season. A lot of questions on right now.
- 16:37Who is going to be the dominant force in the West and a dominant
- 16:41force in the E 1st with the East, the Eastern Conference,
- 16:45obviously over there in Boston, no Tatum this year.
- 16:48He's out for the season. A lot of moves that Boston has
- 16:51made, so they might fall out of the top two.
- 16:55Could you see the Knicks being the number one seed right now in
- 16:59the Eastern Conference? And as far as the West is
- 17:02concerned, who do you think is it Houston after the move they
- 17:06made with Kevin Durant? Is there another team that you
- 17:09see right now, young team that could surprise everybody out of
- 17:13the Western Conference, just not just the OK C Thunder?
- 17:17Oh, other than OK, C yes, Well, I, I think for sure the Rockets
- 17:23are a team that, you know, they they learned the hard way last
- 17:26year, right? I mean they they got a big dose
- 17:28of reality in the playoffs. So I think that will serve them
- 17:31well. They're still fairly young team.
- 17:33Obviously they they add KD, but you know, that's still a bunch.
- 17:37That's that's learning how to win, you know, major trades.
- 17:41So a reconfigured team, but I think Houston is going to be
- 17:44pretty good. The thing I love it the most
- 17:47about it. It's wide open.
- 17:49I I just think this is the best thing that's happened in the NBA
- 17:52in years. I mean, come on, Cleveland and
- 17:55Golden State in the Finals? Four straight years.
- 17:58I mean. Dullesville now everybody's got
- 18:02a chance and I think everybody's fan base is energized.
- 18:06There's only a handful of teams that are going to be, you know,
- 18:09really bottom feeders, the Utah, Washington, you know, Brooklyn,
- 18:14people like that. But it from the middle of the
- 18:16top. I think it's great.
- 18:17I think anybody can, can, can make a move, and that just
- 18:20invigorates a fan base and it really caps interest in the full
- 18:2582 because that's something I think that's been lacking for
- 18:29NBA fans that, you know, a Tuesday night in January.
- 18:32Well, you got a chance now. See a really competitive game.
- 18:34So yeah, I'm, I'm all for parody.
- 18:37I think it's fantastic. Of course, that's, you know, the
- 18:40voice of the Atlanta Hawks speaking.
- 18:42You know, I'm all for knocking the big boys off and everybody
- 18:45having a chance. But I, I do think that's kind of
- 18:47where we are in the East. You know, you got three major
- 18:49injuries with Halliburton going down and Dame Lillard going
- 18:54down, going down, that that makes a big change at the top of
- 18:59the East. I don't think anybody in the
- 19:00East is scared of anybody else and that's going to make it
- 19:03great. You know, it's so interesting
- 19:04because Le Bron James has been really the talk of the NBA over
- 19:09the last, I would say 2 weeks and Luka Don Chick just got a
- 19:13big contract. He was the only one of his
- 19:16teammates not at that conference call.
- 19:20And then all of a sudden he, he, he sends, he sends
- 19:24congratulations to Luka Dodgic on Twitter, on X, and that's
- 19:28all. Does LeBron James at the trade
- 19:31deadline play for another team? Do you see him staying with the
- 19:35Lakers, especially when the Lakers look like they're going
- 19:38to start to rebuild around Luka Dodgic?
- 19:43Well, you know, the the sun is starting to set on his career.
- 19:48I mean, he's still give him his due, you know, for 40 years old,
- 19:52he's still getting it done. Like few players in our league
- 19:55can get it done. But he's on the downhill slide.
- 19:58There's no question about that. And I think the biggest question
- 20:02is not so much his stats or winning and stuff like that,
- 20:06It's his ego. Can he handle being the second
- 20:09banana to Luca? I don't know.
- 20:12We're going to find out. But the thing about him leaving
- 20:15the Lakers, that means he also has to leave his son.
- 20:17And I don't know that that is going to happen.
- 20:21He may ride it out to get Brawny through, but you know, the end
- 20:27is coming. And it's the first time really,
- 20:31since he's got established in the early days in Cleveland that
- 20:35he is not the face of this league.
- 20:38He's not the most dominant player in this league anymore.
- 20:42And I don't know that he can handle that.
- 20:44That's gonna be very interesting to see.
- 20:46So my last question, I know you spent some time with the
- 20:48Washington Bullets, so one of the friends of our show is
- 20:50Charlie Slows, the play by play voice of the Washington.
- 20:52Yeah. Have you had any experiences
- 20:54with him? Oh yeah, back to Virginia when
- 20:58Charlie was coming along. He did the team that I did the
- 21:02Tidewater Tides, then a Mets AAA affiliate.
- 21:05So yeah, we've known Charlie for years.
- 21:09What a what a fine young man and great broadcaster.
- 21:11I, I mean, I'm going to end this with with this from my last one.
- 21:14How much longer do you want to do this?
- 21:16You know, I, I think often of a quote from Don Shula, the Hall
- 21:21of Fame football coach, and he once said, the closer I get to
- 21:26the stadium, the faster I walk. And I still feel that way, guys.
- 21:31I love the games. I, I still get excited about
- 21:37preparing. You know, we get the schedule
- 21:39tomorrow. It's like the half, I'm like a
- 21:40kid on Christmas Eve tonight. I can't wait to get my hands on
- 21:43the schedule tomorrow, see where we're going, where the travels
- 21:48will take us. And I, I'm just a, a kid in that
- 21:52regard. So I still love it.
- 21:54I think the big thing for me is I've still got my health
- 21:57enthusiasm to do it every day. And I love the players.
- 22:01And we're, you know, they're, we're 50 years apart, 40 years
- 22:05apart and you know, they have my back.
- 22:10I've got their back. I love them and I love traveling
- 22:13with them and being with them. It's just so great.
- 22:16And, and I hope that, you know, the Hawks and the NBA will allow
- 22:20me to continue to do it because I absolutely love it.
- 22:23I love our fans. We have such great interaction
- 22:25with them. I'm sitting next to a Hall of
- 22:27Famer every night and Dominique Wilkins having a blast, so I
- 22:31hope I get the chance to do it for a long time to come.
- 22:33Well, I'm cool with Charlie Slows and he's another guy.
- 22:36He's a broadcaster that's worked for many different leagues from
- 22:39the NBA down to the MLBS, the nationals radio broadcaster,
- 22:43voice of the the Washington Nationals.
- 22:46And I asked him when it when is it going to be over for you?
- 22:49And, and we're very close and we have these conversations all the
- 22:51time. And he says, well, as long as
- 22:53I'm getting a paycheck week by week, I'm going to be here.
- 22:56So I, I do believe that is the way Charlie and I, I wouldn't, I
- 23:01would not want to hear anybody else but you, Bob, for what you
- 23:05do, not only for the Atlanta Hawks, but you are really been
- 23:08one of the voices of NBA basketball.
- 23:11I really do appreciate the time, not only as a personality on
- 23:15what you do for the radio and television, but who you are as a
- 23:20person and a person that I look up to.
- 23:21So thank you for joining us and I definitely off air, I'd love
- 23:25to have a conversation with you. You're a person that I would
- 23:28love to pick your brain with. You're a sensational human
- 23:31being. And I just can only imagine your
- 23:35wife all these years getting a chance to hear you and and your
- 23:39kids getting a chance to see what you have done as a
- 23:41professional. It's an amazing, amazing career
- 23:44as a broadcaster. Broadcaster.
- 23:46Thank you so much man. Well, that I that that really is
- 23:50kind of you to say that, and I appreciate that we do it all for
- 23:53the fans. And yes, reach out to me
- 23:55anytime. Love the chat.
- 23:58I'm I'm pretty easy to find, so you can e-mail, text, whatever.
- 24:03Love, love the interaction and and love to spend time with you.
- 24:07Absolutely. He's been fantastic.
- 24:09Thank you, Bob. We'll definitely talk to you
- 24:11soon, man. I'll definitely reach out to
- 24:12you. Congratulations on the great
- 24:14career that you've had and many, many, many, many, many, many,
- 24:18many more years to go. Thank you so much.
- 24:21Thank you so much. Great being with you.
- 24:23Thank you. Bob Rathben, fantastic, one of
- 24:26the best in the business guys, one of the best.
- 24:30Everything that he is doing right now, not only for the NBA
- 24:33to WNBA, it is amazing how long he's been doing it and doing it
- 24:38at a high level. It's it's sensational.
- 24:40Just think about it. You're talking about four
- 24:43decades, 4 decades of maybe even a little, almost almost 5
- 24:49decades of, you know, being a broadcaster for somebody like
- 24:53that to pick somebody's brain in this industry, those are the
- 24:57guys you want to pick their brains because these guys are
- 25:00the best in the business. And, and for him to do it as
- 25:03long as he's done it and at a high level, those are the guys.
- 25:06Guys, if you didn't hear that interview, that is a sensational
- 25:09interview. He's and guys, when you talk
- 25:12about the top 10 play by play NBA guys, he's definitely in the
- 25:17top 10. So if you're an NBA fan, he's
- 25:20he's one of the best in the business.
- 25:22So just to have him on a show, it's to me, it's an honor.
- 25:25I think everybody would say that Jabba, I mean, Speedy is
- 25:30infatuated right now as we speak.
- 25:32I mean seriously, look at him. He's fantastic.
- 25:38All right, we got another segment, a new one.
- 25:42We call this the one and only Jabba rules.
- 25:47Jabba rules. I got the bubble gums.
- 25:51I'll let you lick my butt. Here we are for another edition
- 25:56of Jabba Rules. Jabba, they gave you a lot of
- 25:59rules back in the day. Why don't you tell us what
- 26:02rules? You know what I'm going to, I'm
- 26:04going to go on the positive side.
- 26:06We fish and I were talking earlier and we're kind of going
- 26:09to keep you guys on your toes with this one in I wanted to
- 26:13talk about something that rules not only in the game of
- 26:16baseball, but also in in our hearts and in our parents.
- 26:21I would like to give a hats off to actually having Major League
- 26:25Baseball step up and let players be players and have players
- 26:28weekend and get to do some some really cool things and show
- 26:32their personality, their hometowns, you know, their
- 26:34families and and stuff like that.
- 26:36And specifically, I wanted to touch on Juan on on a subject
- 26:41that, you know, we we didn't want to harp on too long because
- 26:44it's that guy didn't deserve the amount of time that we actually
- 26:47talked about it. But could tell Marte obviously
- 26:49losing his mother and going through what he did, you know,
- 26:55this this year and having to deal with that.
- 26:58And he got gifted. I don't know if you guys have
- 27:00saw this, but he got gifted for for players weekend a a custom
- 27:06bat with a picture of him and his mother in the shape, like in
- 27:10a heart around it. And you could just really,
- 27:13really, you know, see the joy and the smile and his eyes start
- 27:17to well up and just how much you know, that meant.
- 27:21And then I was kind of like I was thinking how that rules.
- 27:23But then I'm like, at the same time, I'm like, you know, what
- 27:26if you what if you get jammed and and you break the bat and
- 27:29it's right beats in and splits you and your mom up.
- 27:31I'm like, maybe I don't want to use that bat, but just to be
- 27:35able to have that opportunity to, to share that memory and the
- 27:40bad company to be able to do that.
- 27:42And, and for Major League Baseball to allow these, you
- 27:47know, players weekends where, you know, it, it back then you,
- 27:50you really couldn't, you know, show your personality per SE
- 27:54with like one of my favorite is when they first started it,
- 27:58Shane Bieber and his jersey said, not Justin, like, you
- 28:02know, just just where you get AC, you know, the personality of
- 28:07guys. Another one of my favorites was
- 28:09the Seeger brothers and they just like younger brother and
- 28:13like just just being able to do that.
- 28:15And I, I think it, it shows and it gets the younger crowd and,
- 28:19and for me, it's, it's something really, really cool.
- 28:21And the Catelle Marte just kind of said it over the top because
- 28:24I look forward to these, you know, players weekends to see,
- 28:28you know, kind of, you know, more more of their personality
- 28:32instead of just, you know, the baseball players side.
- 28:34And you know what, you know, maybe their interest, maybe
- 28:37they're into, you know, anime and something and we've seen,
- 28:41you know, cleats and stuff like that.
- 28:42So yeah, that's something that I wish I was able to do.
- 28:46But, you know, I think it it it rules in the aspect of letting
- 28:49these letting these guys be themselves and, you know,
- 28:53showing a little bit of the funny side with, you know, names
- 28:55on jerseys and and these really sentimental things too, that
- 28:58that mean a lot to these guys at play all.
- 29:01Right, that's what rules, according to Jabba.
- 29:05I will say this and I, I don't usually, you know, express
- 29:09myself with my private life, but I for the show today and, and
- 29:14really for the last three hours, my sister's been in the hospital
- 29:17and she sent me a message before the show telling me that she had
- 29:22a partial heart attack and she was rushed to St.
- 29:27John's Hospital. So my heart goes out to my
- 29:30sister. I hope everything's OK.
- 29:31I haven't really spoken to her. She's been dealing with what
- 29:35she's been dealing with and it's been hard doing the show and
- 29:39thinking about her and getting text messages with her, her
- 29:42boyfriend and and my niece through the show.
- 29:45It is, it's not very easy concentrating on all the stuff
- 29:49that's going offset of the show. So I'm, I'm trying to be a, a
- 29:53player here and a, and a team player here and, and I'm trying
- 29:57to get through the show, but it's been really, really hard
- 30:00throughout the show. I told Speedy, I was telling
- 30:02poops during the break what I've been dealing with during the
- 30:05show. It's not it's, it's, it's very,
- 30:07very hard to do something like this knowing that one of your
- 30:10family members is, is not doing so well in the hospital.
- 30:12So I'm my, if my sister's listening, what she probably
- 30:16isn't right now. I hope she's OK so.
- 30:19Same here, hopefully I'm praying for her.
- 30:21So all right, that's, that's been, it's been going on
- 30:27throughout the show. I've been like, I've been really
- 30:29trying to get through the show and, and trying to keep my head
- 30:33up and, and think it's not easy doing this.
- 30:35So it's, you know, anyways, we got a new, we got another
- 30:40segment. He's in, ladies and gentlemen.
- 30:43Goodies. Bag of balls.
- 30:45My mom was going to wire a car battery on my testicles.
- 30:47Trying to put Tiger. Bomb on this jungle's nuts.
- 30:50Goodies Bag of balls. That's how you become great,
- 30:53man. And your balls out there.
- 30:55All right. Well, I hope your sister, I hope
- 30:57your sister is doing good. That's scary, man.
- 30:59It's scary. It's crazy because she called me
- 31:02today and she told me that her her left hand was going numb and
- 31:07today and I'm like, why aren't you calling 911?
- 31:10And she was crying to me on the phone.
- 31:12I said call 911. I called a boyfriend, then I
- 31:16called my mother and then I said Samantha call 911.
- 31:20So she called 911 and then I got a text before the show getting
- 31:23out of the shower. She says the doctors in here
- 31:26right now told me that I had a partial heart attack.
- 31:28So they admitted her into Saint John's Hospital and she's
- 31:32getting tests done right now as we speak.
- 31:34She'll probably be there for a couple of days.
- 31:36So, you know, I've been dealing with this the whole show trying
- 31:40to, you know, trying to get my mind off of it.
- 31:42It's just, it's so it's just so hard to do that when you have a
- 31:45family member in the hospital right now.
- 31:47And hopefully she's doing OK so. Yeah, that's crazy, man.
- 31:51Well, I hope she is all right. I hope that, you know, at least
- 31:53you guys caught it early. So inside 2020.
- 31:57Well, all right, we'll get off the somber topic there.
- 32:00This August, August 11th, UFC President Dana White announced
- 32:04that they got a massive $7.7 billion partnership with
- 32:08Paramount. And it doesn't only include UFC
- 32:11events, but it also is including power slapping.
- 32:15Have you seen the power slapping?
- 32:17Yes. Of course, flat fighting show
- 32:19within this package. All right, So to me, I think
- 32:22this is going to be wild to see on mainstream combat
- 32:25entertainment and how this is stretching into the fighting and
- 32:29stretching into slap fighting. There we go, right?
- 32:34Boom. The deal signals just how much
- 32:37value Paramount sees in a niche, even if it's a fringe content to
- 32:43attract eyeballs and subscribers across their ecosystem.
- 32:49I'm expecting a little bit of backlash from the combat
- 32:53fighting purist, but I will say it is definitely entertaining to
- 32:59watch grown men slap the absolute shit out of each other.
- 33:01Now I've watched it, I've I've got a chance to check out some
- 33:04of the different tournaments that they have, the heavyweight
- 33:06division, the light heavyweight division, the welterweight
- 33:09division. It's, it's it's pretty
- 33:10remarkable. Dana White's been supporting
- 33:13this for a while. He goes to all the events he
- 33:16supports. Didn't he start it?
- 33:18No, he didn't start it. He actually now is promoting it
- 33:22and help running the organization because the
- 33:24organization is just so poorly run and the way they're
- 33:28promoting it. So he's helping promote the
- 33:30product and that's why he's got a deal with Paramount.
- 33:33He brought them in on the deal with Paramount and that was one
- 33:37of the deals that he he made. Because here's the thing, what
- 33:40I've heard is ESPN wanted to re sign them.
- 33:43ESPN wanted to take them back on after bringing in the WWE.
- 33:47The problem is Dana White wanted to bring in power slapping and
- 33:51and I I was. I think it's a great idea.
- 33:54I think it is. I think obviously the combat
- 33:56sport fighting right now, especially the UFC, there's very
- 34:00few big fighters right now. They're they're trying to
- 34:02develop certain young fighters to come up.
- 34:05We've, we talk about it all the time.
- 34:07There's, there's still some of those veteran fighters that are
- 34:10keeping it afloat. But power slapping has been a
- 34:13unique sport and it's promoted all over the Facebook and
- 34:18TikTok, you know, platforms. I definitely enjoy doom
- 34:22scrolling and and catching a clip of freaking.
- 34:26It is it is right, Errol, you're right.
- 34:28It like it on TikTok like everywhere.
- 34:31It's the the ones that get me though is when they do the slow
- 34:34moan it shows like their jaw like on the other side.
- 34:37What I don't understand is. Have you seen the one where the
- 34:40women slap their butts? Yeah, I've seen.
- 34:43That's in a different country though.
- 34:45Yeah, like he needs to buy that one.
- 34:47What I don't understand is why are they holding like a pad on
- 34:50the like putting it on the back of their back?
- 34:53I understand the whole mouthpiece thing because they,
- 34:55they don't, they don't want to have a concussion, but I, I, I
- 34:58don't get that whole pad thing that they're holding in the back
- 35:01of their, their arms when they're getting smacked in the
- 35:03face. I, I don't get that.
- 35:05I really don't. But I didn't even know Dana
- 35:07White obviously created this thing.
- 35:09But I as a kid, I did slap boxing in Brooklyn.
- 35:13And it's different because in slap boxing you have to stand in
- 35:17a box, you can't pass the line or you get a free slap.
- 35:20Slap boxing has been around for forever.
- 35:23So to make it a professional sport, it's pretty unique.
- 35:26It's pretty cool, so. Congratulations.
- 35:28Will it be the neck Olympic sport?
- 35:30No. And what country will take over?
- 35:33Probably one of those like weightlifting countries in
- 35:35Eastern Europe. That's pretty cool.
- 35:36That Dana White. You imagine the mountain you
- 35:38know the mountain from. What's that?
- 35:43The yarn board? Yeah, Game of Thrones.
- 35:46Game of Thrones You imagine the Mountain slapping you.
- 35:48No broken neck instantly. How about Andre the Giant
- 35:52smacking the crap out of you? Could you imagine?
- 35:55His hands like this, His hands take my whole face off.
- 35:58Could you imagine? But the crazy part too, they do
- 36:00it. They do it and the like.
- 36:02The prize money isn't crazy. Like no out there it's like 2550
- 36:07grand or something. It's more than UFC fighters.
- 36:10Do you know the undercoat of the UFC is $10,000 10 grand?
- 36:14That's what they make. That's if you win.
- 36:17Yeah. No, no, no, it it depends.
- 36:19Now obviously, if you fight of the night.
- 36:21You can get like fight of the night for like 50 grand.
- 36:23But I, I think it's $10,000 no matter what, win or lose, I
- 36:26think you get $10,000 because what are you fighting for?
- 36:30If you're on a, if you're the undercard of a like a main event
- 36:34or something like that, you're getting, I think it's $10,000
- 36:37win or lose. I think the winner gets a little
- 36:39bit more than that. But you don't make any money.
- 36:42You don't make nothing. That's why Jake.
- 36:44Yeah, Good. Isn't that why Jake Paul's the
- 36:47same with boxing? Like that's why Jake Paul's
- 36:49trying to promote the boxing thing, help the help the fight.
- 36:51He also just, I don't know if you saw, he gave like $5 million
- 36:54of Ben Askren who had a collapsed lung, which I thought
- 36:57was pretty cool. Well, Ben Askren is is a guy
- 37:01that Jake really doesn't like, but he went out of his way to to
- 37:04try to help the guy. The guy was dying and to go out
- 37:07of his way to get him along and, and all the other stuff and
- 37:10promoting it. I think Jake, Jake Paul is very
- 37:14well, well respected in the industry outside of the lines of
- 37:18the stupidity in his promotion. So you can't take shots at him
- 37:22and Logan. They're they're money grabbers.
- 37:24They're they're marketers. That's what they do for a
- 37:26living. But as far as I'm concerned,
- 37:28what Jake is doing, he's attacked Dana White on not
- 37:31giving insurances and and stuff like that to the fighters that
- 37:34he has in his, in his company and his corporation.
- 37:37I think Jake's right. And that's why Jake has now
- 37:40become a promoter and he's pushed boxing, boxing and combat
- 37:43sports and trying to promote it with MVP.
- 37:45I think Jake Paul's doing a great job on just trying to
- 37:48market his product and getting his product to the top.
- 37:50So. My first year.
- 37:52Well, let's move along. Let's talk a little bit about
- 37:54baseball is the Houston Astros are now without their prime
- 37:58closure here, Josh haters. So their star closer.
- 38:01We know Josh Hader, we see him with the Brewers.
- 38:03We've seen him now with Houston. He signed that big massive like
- 38:07what was it, 3470 something $1,000,000 deal.
- 38:10He's been placed on the injured list with a shoulder injury,
- 38:13which is obviously creates a massive void in the back end of
- 38:17the bullpen for the Houston Astros.
- 38:19Hater this season has converted 28 to the 29 save opportunities
- 38:24and the bullpen path forward is going to be is up for grabs.
- 38:27I don't know what Joe's spot is playing.
- 38:29Dude has shifted if it's going to be a pitch closure by
- 38:33committee, but they do have Brian Abreu and others.
- 38:37So who is he going to trust in this situation and who, who is
- 38:42he going to rely on, you know, to move forward to, to get to
- 38:46this playoff push? It's already a bullpen that was
- 38:48struggling in the after the All Star break anyway, even when
- 38:50hater was healthy. So they're whatever roles
- 38:53they're in now, they're going to have to be a lot more creative.
- 38:55Obviously they'll rely on the starters to get more length,
- 38:58which they've gotten with some of them.
- 38:59But it's still not the it's not the Astro system of pitching
- 39:03that we've seen in the past either that you're seeing.
- 39:05Even though they're winning the division right now, it doesn't
- 39:08still feel like they're like this overpowering identity at
- 39:11this point. Yeah.
- 39:13I mean, Abreu close tonight, I think that's probably the
- 39:18direction you're going to go and everybody kind of just filters
- 39:21up. But yeah, they've struggled a
- 39:23little bit in the second-half and it's it's interesting and
- 39:27haters, one of the guys that's really, I mean, it's stayed
- 39:29pretty healthy for for his tenure over the league, so.
- 39:32I mean, at some point they knew he was going to break down like
- 39:35his, yeah. I mean, yeah, he's and he's
- 39:37thrown a lot. And I mean, and that's not even
- 39:39including dry humps in there too.
- 39:41And that's when it came about. He got dry humped and then
- 39:44that's when he was like he was barking.
- 39:46And then that's when they that's when they did the MRI, so.
- 39:50Fucks do as a shoulder elbow. OK, you can.
- 39:55Worst case scenario, let's say you either break your
- 39:58electronon, you know, or you have Tommy John surgery, right?
- 40:02A shoulder shoulder's a whole different animal to come back
- 40:05from. Yeah, that.
- 40:05Well, yeah, and in your shoulder too.
- 40:08It could. I mean, elbow.
- 40:09It's like you hear flexorship. Elbow goes like this.
- 40:13Shoulder goes like this. Yeah.
- 40:15So I mean, it could be your rotator, your labrum, your
- 40:18capsule, like your bald side, like the shoulder is so
- 40:21different. I mean, we all have, you know,
- 40:25slapped tears in our lab room. I mean, mine's 60% torn.
- 40:28It's just some some bark worse than the others.
- 40:32But yeah, shoulders, shoulders are definitely a lot different
- 40:34than than elbows, especially these days.
- 40:36Elbow now it's like, oh, you're having this.
- 40:38Cool, See ya. Yeah, my shoulders.
- 40:41My first interaction with Doctor James Andrews in Pensacola.
- 40:46I sat down on the table and he goes, all right, big man,
- 40:50shoulder, elbow. I go elbow and he goes thank
- 40:52God. The other thing too that he
- 40:54wasn't a closer his whole career either.
- 40:56He was like a 2-3 inning super reliever before he.
- 40:58Became the Yeah, he was closing, but he was getting the big boy
- 41:03saves 2-3 innings. He was getting old school and
- 41:05then and then he got prima Donna and he was like, I'm not doing
- 41:08that anymore. I'm only doing 1 inning saves.
- 41:10Remember that playoff? Like right at the playoffs he's
- 41:12like, Nope, only one inning. Only one inning.
- 41:15He's getting 8 winnings a year like it wears on you.
- 41:19What is that guy making now? 1820 million.
- 41:21I think it's, I think it was a set five year 95, so I think
- 41:24about 17. Yeah, 5 and 95, yeah.
- 41:26So he's getting paid. He's fine.
- 41:28I mean, he but The thing is, is like that guy's on a trajectory
- 41:31to be one of the greats and this is definitely going to derail
- 41:35him. I mean, his strikeout, his
- 41:37innings pitch, the strikeouts are ridiculous.
- 41:39His saves are ridiculous. His stuff is ridiculous and he's
- 41:44been pretty reliable for the bulk of his career.
- 41:46So I don't know, it's going to be pretty interesting to see
- 41:49what Houston does. I'm not a big fan of closer by
- 41:52committee, to be honest with you.
- 41:53I think it's it sucks when you're sitting down there and
- 41:56you don't really know who's closing that night.
- 41:58Now they give you a little bit of a heads up, but at the same
- 42:00time, like when the phone rings that their their decisions can
- 42:03flip based on who's up in the lineup.
- 42:05So I think if you stick with somebody you stick with, with
- 42:08Bray, you and you just ride them.
- 42:10Isn't that practically half the teams right now that are trying
- 42:14to make the playoffs? They're it's really there's no
- 42:17closer. I mean, the Yankees, how many,
- 42:19how many guys are they using at the closing position they have?
- 42:21No, they should just left Weaver.
- 42:23I like Weaver as a closer. I know he's not like your big
- 42:26time power stuff, but he throws strikes.
- 42:29Like, yeah, you go and sign Devin Williams, but Devin
- 42:31Williams isn't pitching well in New York.
- 42:33So it goes. I mean, and Weaver did it in
- 42:35situations to where he like, and that's that's the crappy part
- 42:39too, is, yeah, you, you bring in Devin Williams, obviously
- 42:43different animal in Milwaukee than what Luke Weaver did and
- 42:46and proved like. And that might have that might
- 42:48have weighed on him too. You know, he's he's had his
- 42:50struggles a little bit like man, I did everything I could to to
- 42:53earn this and you bring this dude in.
- 42:54He's absolutely and all over himself and he's pitching to an
- 42:5811 and I'm still not getting a shot.
- 43:00Like, I mean, it's a, it's a, it's a kick in the Ding a Ling,
- 43:04that's for sure. Oh dude, it sucks.
- 43:06Absolutely sucks A. Kick in a Ding a Ling only job.
- 43:11I don't, no. I feel it because that, that,
- 43:13that that's massive, like contract, like for sure if
- 43:17you're closing in New York and you're doing a well, like a good
- 43:19enough job, like every team wants you.
- 43:22You. Can pretty much have your pick.
- 43:24Of the yeah, they're like there's media scrutiny like boom
- 43:28yeah and he's. You can pitch in New York, you
- 43:30can pitch pretty much any. Yeah, it's a kick in a dingling.
- 43:33Yeah, that's perfect. It's a kick in Dingling for
- 43:35sure, like the last one. I think you guys will like this.
- 43:38This is a little bit of a conspiracy theory here, but
- 43:41Michael Parsons contract stalling to boost the Netflix
- 43:44hype. Fans and media outlets are
- 43:46speculating that the Dallas Cowboys are deliberately
- 43:49delaying the contract negotiations with star
- 43:51linebacker Michael Parsons to drum up attention for their
- 43:54upcoming Netflix documentary called America's Team.
- 43:59The Gambler and his Cowboys set the debut on August 19th.
- 44:03The idea is that the ongoing contract drama will keep the
- 44:05team and the doc buzzworthy in the weeks leading up to the
- 44:10release. I don't know if I believe that
- 44:12story. I've heard about it.
- 44:13Me and Fish were speaking about it today that this documentary
- 44:17is coming out. And there were stories coming
- 44:19out that Jones was dealing with cancer one of the years.
- 44:23So I I mean, I don't know if this mic.
- 44:26Apart. Did he say stage 4 for like a
- 44:29decade or something like that? I haven't had surgery.
- 44:31I have no idea. I haven't when the documentary
- 44:34comes out. Who knows what?
- 44:36That I'm watching right now, the SEC documentary.
- 44:38It's fantastic. Anybody.
- 44:39Pretty good the first one. I watched it last night, the
- 44:41first episode pretty good. I think it's fantastic.
- 44:44I've watched 3 episodes already. I want to finish it up probably
- 44:47tomorrow is sensational. If you like college football or
- 44:50you want to learn a little about a little bit about the inside
- 44:53back end of college football and the SEC, obviously it's the best
- 44:57conference, maybe three class Yeah, come on that's right.
- 45:00It was fantastic. It's been fantastic, but.
- 45:02I watched the first episode with Kate last night and we she fell
- 45:05asleep. But I got through it, through
- 45:07some of it and I'm just like, I'm looking at it.
- 45:09I'm like man, college is so cheesy.
- 45:11Like. Some of this, I mean, listen,
- 45:13it's good. Like I like the way.
- 45:15That, hey, do you think, hey, do you look back and do you think
- 45:17like, we were like, we were that stupid doing that stuff?
- 45:21I want to cringe, like when I see some of these things that
- 45:24they're doing, I'm like. Please tell everybody that's
- 45:27why, like I don't think college coaching college baseball like
- 45:31it's fun. I enjoy the players.
- 45:32I like the, you know, I like the guys and stuff, but I'm like
- 45:34Kate, I would never, I would never do that.
- 45:37I can't stand watching the SEC obviously any giving Saturday,
- 45:43that's what it's called SEC any giving Saturday.
- 45:46I can't stand Brian Kelly and I can't stand him more.
- 45:49Watching that documentary just makes me want to hate him more
- 45:53for. The first episode, I thought he
- 45:54was OK. Like, I was like, all right.
- 45:55I like the way he coaches. There's a lot of.
- 45:57There's a lot of. Why?
- 45:58Because he's coaching your Tigers.
- 46:00Oh no, they don't get me wrong. Like he hasn't won anything.
- 46:03So people are out for his head like he hasn't won anything.
- 46:06And I told her last night like he hasn't won.
- 46:08That's why he can go 10 and three, but it's not good enough.
- 46:11Not good enough for should never left Notre Dame.
- 46:13He should. Have never lost.
- 46:13Left him. I agree.
- 46:17I agree with that. I agree with this statement, but
- 46:20I mean he's with us now. My thing is, is like if the
- 46:24players respect him and the players actually like him and
- 46:27the players will play hard he's. An ass.
- 46:30As long as he doesn't do a stupid accent.
- 46:32Oh God, he. Yeah, I think they should have
- 46:35kept coach out like you've got to keep coach.
- 46:37Cocho is Louisiana State University football, but.
- 46:40You know what I like and you'll get a chance if you watch it,
- 46:43you go watch deeper into it. Vanderbilt, which they're the
- 46:46worst SEC team. Like when it comes to college
- 46:49football, the the coach over there is trying to rebuild that
- 46:54team. I think it's fantastic what he's
- 46:56doing over there and and when you get a chance to check out
- 46:59what he's trying to do and how he recruits players, it's pretty
- 47:02amazing how he's doing it. So I'm telling you, go check it
- 47:05out. You have to be smart to get into
- 47:07that school, yes. But they're not a college
- 47:09football school. They're a college.
- 47:11No, they're a baseball school. They're a great baseball.
- 47:13School. They're a great basketball
- 47:14school, too. What we really need is did you
- 47:17see the group chat with the Benig arrow?
- 47:18How bad W was going to get Brian Kelly?
- 47:20Like he said, he hated him even 10 times more.
- 47:22Dude, Brian Kelly's at Jackass. He really is.
- 47:25He's a complete and his family, you could just see when his
- 47:28father's father's still alive. All his brothers, they're all
- 47:31jackasses. Every one of them.
- 47:33All the Kelly's, they're just stupid.
- 47:35Listen, I don't know the man personally.
- 47:37I will say he needs to start winning the the the big show
- 47:41that you know he needs it. He needs to win at least one if
- 47:43he wants to stick around. He's.
- 47:44Not but one over there. He's not winning.
- 47:47We'll speak. They can't even develop defense
- 47:49anymore. Remember they used to be like
- 47:50cornerback you for a while. They have such bad defenses for.
- 47:53Years, I will say this. He's had brilliant offenses,
- 47:56Jay, you know, but he but aside from that, like it hasn't.
- 47:59I mean, he's the defense is what we were usually known for is our
- 48:03defense. No, he's an offensive minded
- 48:05coach. It definitely is ever since he's
- 48:07gotten there. And by the way, I watch out for
- 48:10Florida the the Gators this year in Langway.
- 48:13I'm telling. You they always play all of you
- 48:15good, but they're not. Watch out for Langway and you
- 48:18got a chance to get to know him during this this.
- 48:22I like the Weeks brothers. I will say that Weeks and.
- 48:26Of course you like them. Yeah, that guy, that kid plays
- 48:29hard, man. Well, it's now we.
- 48:32It's now it's not the weeks, brothers.
- 48:34And now it's just the weeks it's.
- 48:36One the weeks, hey? Well, last.
- 48:38Thing here 2 No, it's. Not off topic.
- 48:41Not 2A. Little off topic, but I'm going
- 48:43to hear your take on the show. Hey, Otani deal that's going on
- 48:46here. You got to.
- 48:48Listen to the beginning of the show, man.
- 48:49I get a chance to you'll you'll I get I was coaching you.
- 48:53Get to listen to it later. You could always listen to the
- 48:56replay of the show like everybody else, yeah. $250
- 49:00million sabotage's deal, pending it on his a.
- 49:02Typical Shayo Otani. What a.
- 49:05Story. We spent an hour on it, dude.
- 49:08Like, yeah, there's a lot. It's wild, that story.
- 49:11That is a wild I missed it. I don't even know what's going
- 49:14on, like I don't. All I read was to.
- 49:16Tell you this, Jabba supports Shay Otani still as we speak.
- 49:22I. Think.
- 49:23I think Jabba and Shay Otani. I think Jabba should be Shay
- 49:26Otani's agent. That's what I think.
- 49:29I I. Would love to be his agent.
- 49:31I I because Jabba Chamberlain. It doesn't matter what Shay
- 49:35Otani is a part of or what he's doing, Jabba says.
- 49:38It's not true. I stand behind it.
- 49:41There's no proof. Innocence.
- 49:42No. Proven guilty.
- 49:43My dad worked in a prison. There's a lot of innocent people
- 49:45in prison, so. That's true.
- 49:47I mean, I agree with that statement.
- 49:49I agree with that statement. It's hard.
- 49:52It's hard to believe that the two biggest baseball stories
- 49:55that come out he's a part of and you say that he's innocent.
- 49:59That's all I'm going to say. I do not believe.
- 50:01That I don't know. I mean he.
- 50:02Wasn't involved goody they saying he didn't even know about
- 50:06it. Again he didn't know about it
- 50:08wasn't him. Nah.
- 50:09He doesn't know he. Was a guy associated with him?
- 50:11Yeah, he doesn't know nothing, absolutely has no clue what's
- 50:14going. On what was he trying to do
- 50:15though? He's trying to build a buy a.
- 50:17House or property for him to sell his injury apartments.
- 50:21It's kind of what they do with Trump.
- 50:23Like Trump doesn't own Trump Towers, they just pay for.
- 50:25His Here's the crazy thing, he signed off on it.
- 50:28So is is John Hancock is on it. So don't tell me he knew nothing
- 50:32about it. That is the.
- 50:33Point OK, where's this John Hancock?
- 50:36Have you seen this personally? That's what they said, that's
- 50:39the. Story OK, so you believe
- 50:40everything that said 100? Percent OK, 100%.
- 50:43Everything that's said on the Internet. 100% I believe it.
- 50:46I believe the. Story.
- 50:47If you believe everything, then you believe that this damn
- 50:50meteor that's coming over here is a damn mothership filler.
- 50:53Aliens. I believe none of you know The
- 50:56Who John Hancock was. He's the first one to sign the
- 51:00Declaration of Independence. Yeah, but besides that, who was
- 51:04he? Like what do you mean?
- 51:07Like he was an important. Person.
- 51:08He was the first person to have his John on his cock.
- 51:12He financed the Sons of Liberty. Speedy, did you get?
- 51:15That yeah, that's super. Well, it's John Hancock
- 51:17Financial. Right.
- 51:19Yeah, it is. Speedy, did you get that?
- 51:22But he was the president. I don't want to get involved in
- 51:24any conversation. Is that what they call the
- 51:26toilet bowl? The John.
- 51:29No, that's actually from the John From No, from not Rob.
- 51:33Yeah, from from Robin Hood. The John from Robin Hood.
- 51:36Speaking of in Lake Flynn, that's King John, The evil King
- 51:40John. That's where it comes from, Yes.
- 51:42Or at least that's what Mel Brooks said in his movie.
- 51:44I could be wrong if that's actually true.
- 51:46Yes, Little John. Little John.
- 51:48Mel Brooks, Yeah. Who was the guy?
- 51:51Who? Who?
- 51:52Okay. Who did Eyes Wide Shut?
- 51:57That was Kubrick. Kubrick I got some kind of stuff
- 52:00on Kubrick. Yeah, you definitely staged them
- 52:03by. The way, just for all the Cowboy
- 52:05fans, Micah Parsons will be a Cowboy before the season starts.
- 52:09He will get his contract. He's going nowhere.
- 52:11The only team that has a chance to get him is the Rams.
- 52:14It's not happening. I want to see Aaron Donald in
- 52:16him. That would I would.
- 52:18I would love and by the way, Aaron Donald, man, I've been you
- 52:22know, I follow his social medias.
- 52:23That man could still play at the top of his dude.
- 52:27The guy is built like an ox. I've never seen a guy his size
- 52:31have an 8 pack. That guy has an 8 pack.
- 52:33I it's it's unbelievable. It's it's.
- 52:35Crazy. It's absolutely.
- 52:40I'm telling you, dude, that guy is is unbelievable.
- 52:43And he came in, he was overweight and everybody was
- 52:45from Pitt and they were like, oh, this guys overweight.
- 52:47He's never going to amount to anything.
- 52:50Teams passed up on him. I Odell Beckham, I think, was
- 52:53drafted beforehand. Right, and it was weird because
- 52:56the Rams weren't even like considered a team on on their
- 52:59radar to take him because they had Michael Brockers and they
- 53:01had Nick fairly like they had set a defensive tackle and then
- 53:04he just became. They.
- 53:05Just didn't realize he wasn't fat Speedy.
- 53:08They didn't realize that some guys that he was shorter.
- 53:12Some guys are just built thick like.
- 53:14That you know when he hear something crazy that I heard
- 53:16about him, he could do like 350 push ups without stopping.
- 53:21That's what I've heard. That's what I've heard.
- 53:23I I couldn't believe it, but there was a story that I've read
- 53:28that he could go 350 push ups without stopping.
- 53:30Full It's like Saquon's build adding like 50 lbs of muscle.
- 53:35It's crazy. Yeah, he's pretty yoked.
- 53:37I'm not gonna lie. He's pretty yoked.
- 53:40The. Guys, it's crazy.
- 53:41It's. Crazy.
- 53:43I would advice much are the size of my freaking legs.
- 53:46Dude, that guy, I've watched this guy, his workouts and but
- 53:51I've never seen. Yeah, I've seen that too.
- 53:54Yeah, that's ridiculous. Bro what?
- 53:57How much? What is he throwing up right
- 53:58there? One 30s.
- 53:59That's like I've seen him do one 50s like that and do.
- 54:02It just pump him out incline no problem.
- 54:05Do it like nothing, yeah. Those are one 30s.
- 54:08I think the most I do now is like 7.
- 54:10Warm up set. Warm up set.
- 54:12You could do 70s. I give you credit for that.
- 54:14Incline I could do 70s. Incline, yeah, OK, that's not
- 54:18bad. That's like, did you ever hear
- 54:20like when you see Aaron Donald, but like James Harrison, why he
- 54:23always wore sweats? Yeah, he's massive.
- 54:25Yeah, because he didn't want to embarrass everybody else, and he
- 54:28wanted to make the sweat jealous, make the.
- 54:32He always wore baggy sweats and the dude was monstrous.
- 54:35Yeah, he's that guy's a beast of a man.
- 54:38I it is pretty crazy and but I what I saw TJ Watt doing the
- 54:43other day doing handstand push ups and he did like 25 of them
- 54:47at his size. I'm I'm sorry, as cool and crazy
- 54:51what Aaron Donnell looks like and what he does is at TJ Watt.
- 54:55That guy is a beast. That guy's a beast.
- 54:59You go you guys, if you ever get a chance, I got to I'll find the
- 55:02video. I think it's a TikTok video.
- 55:03I was watching this guy do this. It's it's it's insane, insane
- 55:08what this guy does. But anyways, all right, final.
- 55:11Segment of the night. That's crazy.
- 55:12King of the Hill. And here's the King of the Hill.
- 55:16This, Bobby, is the Beltline. You never ever hit below that.
- 55:20Not that kind of King of the hill, you dumb ready.
- 55:22Are you ready? This is King of the Hill.
- 55:26Smell my ass. Welcome to King of the Hill.
- 55:30I am a legend in. This game we have to take on the
- 55:34king arrows only ever lost. Once.
- 55:37Woody. The first round is 4 competitors
- 55:40in the peasant fight. The the king will decide who
- 55:43moves on to the joust in round two and the winner gets to take
- 55:48on the king for a chance to sit on his throne.
- 55:51It's time. For King of the Hill Doo Doo you
- 55:56guys ready to play? Who do we got?
- 55:57Aaron's coming in, I believe. So here we go.
- 56:00Suck my indo cameras. Ready for King of the Hill?
- 56:05We got 4 competitors, Goody, our intern Aaron, Speedy and Jabba.
- 56:11Let's get the first question up. We are doing all baseball
- 56:14tonight. The peasant fight.
- 56:16Here is the topic Best power hitting catchers of all time in
- 56:22honor of the Major League Baseball League leader in Cal
- 56:27Raleigh. So here we go.
- 56:30Let's start it off down on the far corner with the big righty.
- 56:36Well, I got 2 choices here, don't I?
- 56:38So we'll go to the bottom right corner.
- 56:39That's Jabba. Jabba, Speedy, Aaron and Goody
- 56:42for two. You know what I mean?
- 56:46I guess I'm just going to get it out of the way.
- 56:50You got to go Piazza, obviously, over 400 homers.
- 56:55I think he has the most 30 home run seasons.
- 56:57If I recall he was number one in bacne also.
- 57:03That's I think that's a great stat to have 1st.
- 57:07I don't know if pizza bag help I.
- 57:10Called it a pizza bag. That's what I used to.
- 57:12Call pizza bag. Oh yeah, I don't know if you
- 57:16want that type of sauce on your pizza.
- 57:23Oh yeah. So I mean, and just signify
- 57:28power at that position and an everyday catcher.
- 57:31It's got to be considered one of the best.
- 57:35All right, Speedy. I'll go with big better machine,
- 57:37Mr. Johnny Bench, about 356 I believe it was that he had in
- 57:43the 70s too, which catchers at that time, there were only a
- 57:45couple of select few that were hitting that many home runs at
- 57:48that time. Obviously played with a great
- 57:49lineup too, but really turned that program around and did it
- 57:52for a very, very long time. So Johnny Bench, Aaron.
- 57:58All right, so I'm going to go with Gary Carter, honestly, to
- 58:01be honest with you. I mean, he's considered one of
- 58:04the best, best couches out there.
- 58:05Obviously with the Mets in the 80s, doing what he did with,
- 58:08like I said, with the Mets power hitting.
- 58:10To be honest with you, I never really known him as a power
- 58:12hitter, but obviously he's one of the better couches out there
- 58:15so all. Right, Goody. 4/2 Nice pick the
- 58:22great ones. I'm going to go with one of the
- 58:24greats, Carlton Fisk. Over 370 homers and an 11 time
- 58:30All Star. Not to mention as an AL rookie
- 58:32of the year, the guy was fantastic.
- 58:34And my next pick I'm going to go with a one and only Yogi Berra.
- 58:40Yogi Berra threw up over 350 home runs and he was the only
- 58:44player to win 10 World Series, most by any player of all time.
- 58:51Yogi. Yoga.
- 58:53See, the best part of the best part of that is he's actually
- 58:56not half the reading off a computer.
- 58:58He actually knows that. So I'll give him credit for
- 59:01that. Hey, hey, the yolkster was
- 59:04pretty tight. He was pretty good back in what,
- 59:07the the 40s? Nice job.
- 59:10Little bit about you. Hey, by the way, one of the
- 59:12craziest stats of Yogi, I don't know, there's one year he had
- 59:15over 600 at bats and he only struck out eight times.
- 59:19Yes. I don't care.
- 59:20I don't care what area you're in.
- 59:21Like to have a 600 and punch out eight time?
- 59:24Yeah, well, they're also throwing 50, but still, that's
- 59:27incredible not to mention. He swung a 44 oz bat.
- 59:31Oh, the other thing is, is how many of those homers came in the
- 59:34postseason? I mean, they got 110 World
- 59:36Series. So like, he's hitting meaningful
- 59:39home runs in the postseason. Running out of fingers, dog.
- 59:41Blow my back up. Moving on, second round, Aaron.
- 59:46All right, I'm going to stay in my era.
- 59:48I'm going to go with Salvador Perez.
- 59:51I mean, honestly, yes, he's still in his career.
- 59:53He's still pretty young, but when he's there, he really puts
- 59:56on his power swing. He's obviously a robots
- 59:58champion. The Royals still pretty young.
- 1:00:02To be honest, I thought he was always older.
- 1:00:04But I'm going to go with Salvador Perez.
- 1:00:06He's really someone that can hit the ball out.
- 1:00:08From the goal with him. Speedy.
- 1:00:11All right, I'll go with another one in Yogi Berra's era.
- 1:00:13Not as good of a home run here as him, but still very good at
- 1:00:16over 250, I believe. And that was Roy Campanella for
- 1:00:19the Brooklyn Dodgers. Damn it Speedy, that was mine.
- 1:00:21Yep. And I, I think I used him in
- 1:00:23another one we had in the past too as one of the, I guess
- 1:00:26greatest catchers ever. But definitely again for that
- 1:00:28time too. Not a lot of catchers hitting
- 1:00:30home runs last night's probably Yogi Berra and a few others like
- 1:00:33him having the consistency, the longevity that he had as well.
- 1:00:36So I'll go with him. Yeah, but there's another one
- 1:00:38out there. You play with them.
- 1:00:40I know I was going to do that, but I wanted to use Campanella
- 1:00:43too, because he would have had even more had he not got hurt
- 1:00:49and in the wreck and the way he did it.
- 1:00:51But yeah, he's he's great, obviously.
- 1:00:53Yeah, I'm. I'm going to go Pudge.
- 1:00:56No, no, I wasn't thinking Pudge. Oh, you weren't?
- 1:00:59Well, I played with Pudge too. I think it's PADA.
- 1:01:02Oh no, no, that wasn't the first one.
- 1:01:09I. They're both poured in and.
- 1:01:10Stuff. Jabba was Jabba was scarred by
- 1:01:12the urine. Well, we know what Jabba's going
- 1:01:16with that whole thing, no? Yeah, no, I mean, I just, you
- 1:01:20know, pledged for doing it as long as he did.
- 1:01:23I see why he threw out a lot of people because I had him and
- 1:01:26every time a runner was on fastball away.
- 1:01:28Fastball. I don't want to throw a fastball
- 1:01:30away. I know you want to throw
- 1:01:30somebody out, but no. And you know, hitting over 300
- 1:01:34homers, I don't know if he got to 350, but hit for average too.
- 1:01:40And I think just to do it for as long as he did and how he didn't
- 1:01:46really let off. And obviously he's probably in
- 1:01:48the conversation of steroids, which kind of everybody in that
- 1:01:52era. But to be an everyday catcher to
- 1:01:54hit over 3300 homers and I think he was close to hitting 300 as
- 1:01:58an average to he just got to go down longevity and 300 homers at
- 1:02:02that position is just, and he was one of the guys I looked up
- 1:02:05to grown up. So that was kind of cool too.
- 1:02:08All. Right Java next pick last round.
- 1:02:12My last round I'm going to have to go with and I've used him
- 1:02:16before and I'm a Braves Homer, so I'm obviously going to have
- 1:02:21to use Javi Lopez. You know, it was obviously up
- 1:02:25there for most homers in a year. And Fish and I kind of talked
- 1:02:28about this. There's there's a lot of guys we
- 1:02:30could throw up there that had those one years.
- 1:02:32You know, we're like, hey, but we got still got to.
- 1:02:34Use them, maybe not for career. Wise, but you know, records are
- 1:02:37meant to be broken and he said that was 42, you know, hit over
- 1:02:42250 homers, play for some great teams, caught some great guys.
- 1:02:47I'm just I was a huge Javi Lopez fan.
- 1:02:49I was a big Eddie Perez fan too. Still I.
- 1:02:52Like Eddie Perez. Yeah, but, and I guess I like
- 1:02:56Puerto Rican catchers, so I guess that's that's the way I'm
- 1:02:58going. All right, Speedy.
- 1:03:01I'll round it out with another Atlanta Braves catcher that
- 1:03:02probably would have had about 3:50 if he didn't get hurt a
- 1:03:04lot. Brian McCann I think was
- 1:03:06consistently top five, top ten throughout his career with the
- 1:03:09Braves. I wasn't probably the level of a
- 1:03:11Joe Mauer, Buster Posey at that time, but still probably in the
- 1:03:14next year. Overall, very good left-handed
- 1:03:16power. So I'll round him out with Brian
- 1:03:18McCann as much as I couldn't stand him as a match.
- 1:03:21Fan Aaron. I'll run mine off with Yadia
- 1:03:25Molina. I know he didn't have a lot of
- 1:03:27home runs, but he did have a big presence at the place, so I was
- 1:03:30going to stick with that. Go with Molina.
- 1:03:33All right, and goody finish it off.
- 1:03:35I'm going Jorge Posada, another Yankee, another Yankee.
- 1:03:38Great. How could you not over 270 home
- 1:03:41runs. The guy was the center point for
- 1:03:43the World Series runs. They had five time All Star.
- 1:03:46What do they would? He went 3-4 World Series with
- 1:03:49the New York Yankees and he might be the new New York
- 1:03:51Yankees future manager here next year, depending on what happens
- 1:03:54with Mr. Boone. So we'll see.
- 1:03:56Could the could the captain the captain?
- 1:04:01What's what's underneath the captain?
- 1:04:03Co captain, Assistant captain? Could the Co captain take over?
- 1:04:07Lieutenant. Could the Lieutenant?
- 1:04:09Take over the captain of the ship here in New York, we'll
- 1:04:11find out. But hey, that guy hit over 270
- 1:04:14homers and he was a freaking beast.
- 1:04:17I don't know how he was as a teammate.
- 1:04:18I heard multiple different things, but end of the day, he
- 1:04:22showed up, he showed out and he put on a show for the Yankee
- 1:04:24fans. I shook him off my first my
- 1:04:26first ever outing. I shook him off 3/2.
- 1:04:30He's he's Derek Jeter's bitch. How'd that go?
- 1:04:35I shook him off till he called what I wanted.
- 1:04:39And. I punched him out.
- 1:04:41And then what did he say? Don't.
- 1:04:44They didn't say anything because I punched him out.
- 1:04:45He didn't even know who I was. I was witnessing the chocolate.
- 1:04:48Rules. Yeah, then they finally knew.
- 1:04:51I mean, most thought I was from Alaska.
- 1:04:53Alex thought I was from Africa. Nobody knew who the hell I was.
- 1:04:56Green Pie. Duba I.
- 1:04:59I probably would have put Buster Posey in because he had a lot of
- 1:05:02power before he got hurt. I thought he was one of those
- 1:05:05guys, too. But Errol, who's moving on?
- 1:05:09I'm going to. Let you pick.
- 1:05:11Me. Yeah.
- 1:05:12OK, I'll let you pick. I'm going to I'm.
- 1:05:15I think I'm going to go. I'm going to go.
- 1:05:19Goody. You know what?
- 1:05:22I don't think we've done this before.
- 1:05:23Let's go Goody and Jabba. I was facing off.
- 1:05:26I was waiting for him to do that.
- 1:05:29I don't think we've done that. Let's let's go.
- 1:05:32Former teammates facing off in what?
- 1:05:37In the joust. Here it is.
- 1:05:38Let's see what this is a joust. Best fielding first baseman.
- 1:05:49That's. Easy over the last 50 years
- 1:05:53dating back to the mid mid 70s all right so I don't want to
- 1:05:57hear like about Lou Gehrig's you know school thing you.
- 1:06:01Don't want to hear about Billy Bucks?
- 1:06:04Well, he would be included. Pulled it out of my.
- 1:06:06Ass, but I don't think I would choose him for this.
- 1:06:07See. If Goody was still doing ChatGPT
- 1:06:09for for this one, he'd be searching the the most Gold
- 1:06:11Gloves in the 1920s. I gave up the booty there.
- 1:06:16All right, Errol, who's going first?
- 1:06:18I'm going to let Jabba go first. Oh man, I'm I'm going to be
- 1:06:25super, super biased. I'm I'm going to go text.
- 1:06:32Just huge Good. That's a good pick.
- 1:06:34I've never I, I, I had Gianbi before, so I didn't have.
- 1:06:40I agreed. Geez, one of my dearest friends.
- 1:06:42I love him to death. He would throw knuckleballs back
- 1:06:45to you from if you picked the first.
- 1:06:47So it scared the shit out of me because some would be really
- 1:06:50good, some would be bad. So like then I get text over
- 1:06:53there. I love text but we all hated
- 1:06:56text so much because he got to everything and we would break to
- 1:07:00cover first but he would take it every time.
- 1:07:02I'm like if I'm running my fat ass over there, like can I get
- 1:07:06it me and see would bitch about it all the time.
- 1:07:08I'm like, man, if we run it over there, like come on man, give me
- 1:07:11some love. But just consistently how he
- 1:07:15just he could pick it, he could cover ground, he saved you runs
- 1:07:21and he is the greatest chewer of food of all time.
- 1:07:25He counts, he counts his chews. I mean, the dude did everything
- 1:07:29with a purpose. And it was nice having that
- 1:07:32right side of the infield, Robinson, Cano and Tashara.
- 1:07:35I felt real good when when you got on the bump, that's for
- 1:07:39sure. That's a good pick just going.
- 1:07:41To go back and forth so you don't have to go 2 times.
- 1:07:43So just a goodie and I was. Sleeping on text, but I'm going
- 1:07:47with the gold standard at first base.
- 1:07:48I'm talking about Heath Hernandez is the gold standard
- 1:07:53played what he played 15 years or something in the show, won
- 1:07:58what, 11 gold gloves, five time All Star basement and you think
- 1:08:06about glove work and footwork and like the skill that it takes
- 1:08:11to play first base and where to be on cut offs.
- 1:08:14And how could you not put Keith Hernandez up at the top?
- 1:08:18I mean, the guy, the guy, look at this.
- 1:08:22I mean, that's what you want to teach your kids.
- 1:08:26You know, I mean, my son would be like, why is it so grainy?
- 1:08:29But I did like this is the gold standard of first base Keith
- 1:08:31Hernandez. That's my, that's my thing.
- 1:08:34Jabba, yeah, I do like that one and it's I could go Yankees deep
- 1:08:41in this one too. I'm going to go one who like I
- 1:08:46think was under looked. He did play for the Yankees, but
- 1:08:49I think he was very underrated and almost he had a 995 career
- 1:08:56fielding percentage and that's John Olerud.
- 1:09:00Wow, 1 Gold Gloves, obviously Yankees.
- 1:09:05Did he play with the Mets? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:07And then obviously the Blue Jays and then to to obviously have a
- 1:09:12brain aneurysm and to come back. And I just, it was somebody who
- 1:09:15was very methodical, smooth and just, it was always, it wasn't
- 1:09:21flashy, but just to be able to see him, I had to look up.
- 1:09:25I'm obviously I didn't know that he was that good.
- 1:09:27I obviously liked him as a first baseman because I played first
- 1:09:31two because I was too fat and slow to do anything else.
- 1:09:33But I can pick it. But yeah, to have a career in 17
- 1:09:37years, to have a 995 career and and save, I mean, that just
- 1:09:42makes obviously your guys better.
- 1:09:44So yeah, John Oliver's my dude, the rah rah shish Kumba.
- 1:09:47All right, dude. Dude almost hit 300 for his
- 1:09:52career he's like 295. Yeah, well, then they got the
- 1:09:55next guy that I'm going with was an elite hitter, so I think his
- 1:10:00defense was overshadowed. I watched him when I grew up.
- 1:10:03His name's Eddie Murray. Eddie Murray was a three time
- 1:10:07Gold Glove winner. I don't know how many All Stars
- 1:10:12he had, definitely over 555 time All Star, but.
- 1:10:19You're not looking that up. Yet he was balanced, he hit
- 1:10:23well, played the field obviously really well and he had a very
- 1:10:29long career at first base. And I mean what I mean, what
- 1:10:33could you not? What could you say?
- 1:10:34I mean, that guy was the guy did it all.
- 1:10:36Not only did he field and pick the ball or not, but he was a
- 1:10:39great hitter. And that's what I'm saying.
- 1:10:41I think his fielding got was overshadowed because of how good
- 1:10:44of a hitter he was. Fish What did he hit for his
- 1:10:46career? Folks, First off, 8 time All
- 1:10:48Star was a rookie of the year, never MVP, but he won Gold Glove
- 1:10:54and Silver Sluggard 2 years in a row.
- 1:10:56Three time Gold Glove like you're saying 287 hit her 504
- 1:11:01home runs. There you go, I'm.
- 1:11:03Pretty sure he's a Hall of Famer.
- 1:11:04Yes, he. Is yeah, yes.
- 1:11:06Goody. Goody 100.
- 1:11:07Percent. I was in.
- 1:11:08I was in Baltimore two years ago.
- 1:11:10I came in the yard. I know he has his own IPA
- 1:11:12apparently. 21 year career. 21 year career at first base come
- 1:11:17on what did he what was his fielding percentage 990 I'm
- 1:11:21gonna. Have to go in.
- 1:11:23A little deep 995 like the guy was elite Mercedes.
- 1:11:26Benz baseman until like the I mean at the end when he was
- 1:11:30bouncing from teams, he was mostly at DH. 50.
- 1:11:34He the last Gold Glove he won was in his eighth year of his
- 1:11:38career, but he was probably a top fielder for over a decade.
- 1:11:42That's called sex. Yeah.
- 1:11:44All right. Last ones, boys.
- 1:11:45Jabba, I am going to. Go maybe a little overlooked
- 1:11:51more for his hitting, but I'm gonna go Todd Elton, LSU Tiger.
- 1:11:56Yeah, he would. That's great quarterback too, by
- 1:11:58the way. Some of these guys I got to
- 1:12:00watch a little bit more. Obviously being in, you know,
- 1:12:03the middle of the country, being able to see Colorado.
- 1:12:05I don't know if he's ever platinum, but I know he won
- 1:12:06three or four and I think they were back-to-back if I recall,
- 1:12:12did it all with one team I think went underrated.
- 1:12:18Let me look up what his. I'm pretty sure he was a top
- 1:12:23tier guy for a long time. 17 years from 97.
- 1:12:28OK, where's it at? He was a 996 guy for and he
- 1:12:32played first base most of his career.
- 1:12:34He didn't didn't really do that DH and stuff.
- 1:12:36So yeah, I'm going to go Todd Hilton.
- 1:12:38Yeah, another three time Gold Glover.
- 1:12:40Kind of similar profile as Murray.
- 1:12:43Obviously Coors Field assisted a lot.
- 1:12:46Pretty 316 career hitter. Pretty pretty well read 16 yeah,
- 1:12:50he's overshadowed. His offense is overshadowing his
- 1:12:53his defense, his defensive play was there.
- 1:12:55I wonder how many runs did he say?
- 1:12:57953 OPS career. It's pretty impressive.
- 1:13:01All right, Goody winning. So I'm going to go with somebody
- 1:13:06I also watched while I grew up. Pretty pretty smooth, really
- 1:13:13fundamental, not the gold standard like Keith Hernandez,
- 1:13:18but somebody that you couldn't just you can't overlook it.
- 1:13:21And he had a 15 year career Mark Grace, four time Gold Glover,
- 1:13:25two time All Star. Somebody.
- 1:13:29He went raw, no BGS. Yeah, what it was.
- 1:13:32I mean, the guy is the guy is everything you want in the first
- 1:13:35base. He's big, he's physical.
- 1:13:37He's going to make the place, he's going to pick it.
- 1:13:39Like I said, it was smooth, excellent fundamentals, great
- 1:13:44instincts when you watch, if you you know, I don't know people
- 1:13:48watch baseball like we probably look at it through a different
- 1:13:52lens, Java and I than a lot of people do.
- 1:13:54Oh, I'm watching how like all right, when the pitch is being
- 1:13:58made. How are you being right?
- 1:13:59Are you are you one too hot being ready?
- 1:14:01This is somebody who did to AT was extremely diligent in the
- 1:14:09way that he went about his work and I enjoyed watching Mark
- 1:14:12Grace play first base. It was fun, not not as much as
- 1:14:15Keith Hernandez because Keith was making all the crazy plays,
- 1:14:19but Mark Grace was fun to watch 90. 9%.
- 1:14:21I don't know how neither of you said Don Mattingly, but.
- 1:14:24I have no idea that it was. There was a, there was a bunch.
- 1:14:27It's Keith and then Don Matting. Yeah, that was sort of two best.
- 1:14:30To me, I don't know, but Errol, who's moving on.
- 1:14:34I'll let you pick. See, I'm not ready to make those
- 1:14:41decisions. Speedy, I'll let you pick.
- 1:14:44Well, you got to represent the fundamentals of Keith Hernandez.
- 1:14:47I'll go a goody on this one. All right, fair enough.
- 1:14:51Let's get everybody back in. We're going to have the face off
- 1:14:54here, so. Mattingly with a good one.
- 1:14:57Up the hitman Mattingly nine time Gold Glover.
- 1:15:00Nine time. And he was an MVP, Gold Glove
- 1:15:04and Silver Slugger in the same year in 1985.
- 1:15:07You know, my but one of my best friends play for Don Mattingly
- 1:15:09and didn't really like him too much so.
- 1:15:10You know, I kind of want to talk to you about that off the air
- 1:15:13because I've always wondered why he's what's the deal with that?
- 1:15:16But here we are the finalists again.
- 1:15:18Let's get everybody in to vote so we can be in the bottom.
- 1:15:21Here it is last round take on the king most underappreciated
- 1:15:30star players in MLB history. Can't ChatGPT that one now, can
- 1:15:37you? This is your opinion.
- 1:15:40Who do you feel is underappreciated?
- 1:15:42Who do you feel should have gotten a little bit more love
- 1:15:45and can't just be like a role player has to be someone who
- 1:15:48was, you know, at one point in time considered a star.
- 1:15:52So this is really kind of subjective here.
- 1:15:55And it should be fun boys last round the.
- 1:15:58King of the. Hill, Harold.
- 1:16:01First or second I'll. Let him go first.
- 1:16:03Let's hear it. All right, Goody.
- 1:16:06All right, first guy, I'm going to go with underrated player,
- 1:16:12somebody who I like, who came to Yankees camp quite often, not
- 1:16:18invited back to Yankees camp. And I'm talking about the
- 1:16:21Gooseman Gossage. Goose Gossage gets a lot of
- 1:16:25hate, feel like he was underrated, but one of the all
- 1:16:30time save leaders. He's that he's a he's a Hall of
- 1:16:33Fame reliever, very outspoken as we know, but he got overshadowed
- 1:16:40by Mariano Vera when he when he when he came and and obviously
- 1:16:44the public just crushed him. Public absolutely crushed him.
- 1:16:47And I feel like he's one of those guys that is slipping
- 1:16:49through the cracks. But he was an he's underrated,
- 1:16:51one of the best relievers of all time.
- 1:16:54Goose. Gasage, Errol Balls.
- 1:17:00You don't like him, Jabba? Dude, he freaking came out when
- 1:17:02I fist pumped. He's like, this isn't the Yankee
- 1:17:04way I go. Mickey Rivers is jumping on the
- 1:17:06golf cart. Not for yelling at you not to
- 1:17:08come in. And you guys fought.
- 1:17:09Shut up, Goose. Yes, I heard about that story.
- 1:17:13Yeah, I found out a damn Cheesecake Factory International
- 1:17:15Plaza in Tampa. That I heard about that.
- 1:17:18He told that story to me. He told that.
- 1:17:22What a Dick king. Errol.
- 1:17:27I'm going to go with the greatest DH of all time with
- 1:17:30those silly Seattle Mariners, those guys that stand up.
- 1:17:34Everybody talks about Randy Johnson, You talk about Alex
- 1:17:37Rodriguez, Ken Griffey, Junior. Did everybody forget about the
- 1:17:40greatest DH in Edgar Martinez? I mean, seriously, one of the
- 1:17:44most underrated players in Major League history the way he was.
- 1:17:49I mean, he was the most important part of that lineup if
- 1:17:51you really look at it, besides Ken Griffey junior.
- 1:17:54I mean, Alex Rodriguez says he's the greatest player besides Ken
- 1:17:57Griffey junior he's ever played with.
- 1:17:59So I'm going to go with Edgar Martinez.
- 1:18:02The awards named after him now I mean.
- 1:18:05That guy killed the Yankees. I just as a kid, I remember him
- 1:18:08killing us every time. Booty, I'm going to go with the
- 1:18:11Cleveland Indian 2nd baseman, Sandy's brother, Roberto Alamar.
- 1:18:24Roberto Alamar, All right, we talk about second base.
- 1:18:29When we talk about having the hands, when we talk about the
- 1:18:32accolades, we talk about the gold standard, the the gym Mint
- 1:18:3810, the PSA 10. We're talking about Roberto
- 1:18:41Alamar. This guy over 10 time All Star 9
- 1:18:47or 10 Gold Gloves, Hall of Famer, he still does it at this
- 1:18:51age. If you watch his hands, how
- 1:18:53quick they are, their lightning speed.
- 1:18:55This is somebody that Francisco then door looked up to, and to
- 1:18:59me, I don't think he was. He was known, but I think
- 1:19:02because he played for a smaller market team, he wasn't very well
- 1:19:05known as as he didn't get them as much love and respect as he
- 1:19:09should. And he's definitely somebody you
- 1:19:13want to model your game after. If you're a middle infielder or
- 1:19:16even if you play just any position in the infield, the guy
- 1:19:18is incredible. And I think the Hawk to a girl
- 1:19:22modeled her game after him too. Now over here, you guys don't
- 1:19:26get that member of the. Spinning.
- 1:19:27I see what you. I see what you did there, no?
- 1:19:29Nobody. I see what you did there.
- 1:19:31It's. Late.
- 1:19:32Yeah, Well, Errol. Spinning on it, what you got #2?
- 1:19:35I'm going to go with another Cleveland Guardians player,
- 1:19:41yeah. Fuck you.
- 1:19:42Kenny Lofton. That's my next pick.
- 1:19:45Dick Kenny Lofton, 6 All Stars, 4 Gold Gloves.
- 1:19:50I mean, everything about him, 2400 career hits, 600 stolen
- 1:19:54bases. I mean, he was really the heart
- 1:19:58and soul of those Cleveland Guardian teams.
- 1:20:01I I mean, he was a sensational player.
- 1:20:04He hit 296 with 23 stolen bases and a 367 base on base
- 1:20:10percentage. So I'm going to, I'm going to go
- 1:20:12with Kenny Lofton. Pretty good.
- 1:20:15He's good. He should be a Hall of Famer.
- 1:20:17Kenny Lofton should be a Hall of Famer.
- 1:20:19Yeah. I don't understand how he's not
- 1:20:20in, but I'm going to go with another Cleveland Indians
- 1:20:22player, slash guardian player. Of course you are.
- 1:20:25And I'm going with the current Jose Ramirez, one of my good
- 1:20:29friends, somebody I played with, somebody who I love and adore.
- 1:20:32My hold on. One second, what happened?
- 1:20:33He's one of. The best players.
- 1:20:37In the league. Yeah, but he's underrated.
- 1:20:41He's he's just now starting to get the notoriety that he
- 1:20:44should. Prior to that he it was Jose
- 1:20:48Ramirez. Nobody cared because he plays
- 1:20:49for a smaller market or mid market team in Cleveland.
- 1:20:52People don't get to watch him on that big stage.
- 1:20:54You don't. Cleveland doesn't get Sunday
- 1:20:56night baseball every time like a Yankees or a Dodgers or a Mets
- 1:20:59or a Braves or somebody like that.
- 1:21:01But this guy's A7 time All Star, five time Silver Slugger all MLB
- 1:21:07first team last year and he hold his basically on pace to set
- 1:21:12every record for Cleveland offensively.
- 1:21:15He's also I think he just hit the two 5250 club home runs and
- 1:21:19stolen bases. So he's the first third baseman
- 1:21:24in MLB history to do so. And just now that he's starting
- 1:21:28to get the notoriety he's deserved for the past what, 8
- 1:21:31years? He's one of the best and not
- 1:21:33only that, he's I thought he was a really good teammate as well.
- 1:21:36Oh. He's dope.
- 1:21:38Yeah, he's great. Rhyme is great.
- 1:21:40Hosey. I call him Chivo, but.
- 1:21:44He was, he was, he was to my left and he had to be like
- 1:21:46puppy, puppy. Look at my shoes.
- 1:21:48Look at my shoes. Look at my shoes.
- 1:21:51Yeah. What pitch is that?
- 1:21:52All wrong pitch Jose Ramirez. You like finish off the game
- 1:21:59bro? Yeah, OK.
- 1:22:01So nobody, nobody gave him his credit at first base as a
- 1:22:06defensive player, but I'm going to have to give him credit for
- 1:22:09his career. And that's Donnie Baseball.
- 1:22:11Don Mattingly. Never gets the respect that he
- 1:22:15deserves on A5 year span. I don't think anybody has the
- 1:22:19numbers this guy has as an offensive player.
- 1:22:22I mean the guy was a power hitter.
- 1:22:24If he didn't hurt his back he could have gone down as one of
- 1:22:27the greatest if not the greatest first baseman of all time.
- 1:22:29Besides Keith Hernandez, I would say he's the second greatest
- 1:22:33defensively. Offensively, Keith Hernandez
- 1:22:36never played the game offensively in a five year span.
- 1:22:39If you look at Keith Hernandez, numbers of his best years could
- 1:22:42even come close to the comparison of Donnie Baseball
- 1:22:45and did it in New York. He just never, he never won a
- 1:22:50championship and a lot of people will look at that.
- 1:22:52But as far as his talents concerned, defense to offense,
- 1:22:56very few Yankees you can compare to him as a defensive, offensive
- 1:23:00player. I'm going Donnie Baseball.
- 1:23:02That's my final guy. All right.
- 1:23:04We're going to go through our votes now.
- 1:23:07I'll start it off. I'm going to vote for Errol.
- 1:23:09I think the whole point of this was underrated star players, and
- 1:23:14these are three guys, one who took forever to get into the
- 1:23:17Hall of Fame and shouldn't, and two that still aren't in and
- 1:23:19should be. I think that kind of defines
- 1:23:21what I was looking for. That's why I didn't understand
- 1:23:23the Ramirez thing, I mean. Well, I and the other thing is
- 1:23:26Gossage is a Hall of Famer, Roberto Alamar is a Hall of
- 1:23:28Famer, and Ramirez will probably be a Hall of Famer.
- 1:23:31Well, that's the way I looked at it.
- 1:23:32I wanted to look at guys that are are not there.
- 1:23:35I thought that was good. Look, I think Jose Ramirez is
- 1:23:38underrated as well because he's all of famous, the top five.
- 1:23:41If he would have, he's a top five, the top ten player in
- 1:23:43baseball, and people don't really think of him that way and
- 1:23:45they should. I think I think Goody's right
- 1:23:47about that, but I think your picks were right on point,
- 1:23:51Aaron. So I'm going to have to disagree
- 1:23:54with you guys. I'm going to go with Goody
- 1:23:55actually, because I do believe the Ramirez, like the way that I
- 1:23:59perceive him right at all the older guys I know the careers,
- 1:24:03but I've never watched them. So Ramirez, I've seen it up up
- 1:24:06close and personal. No one respects him.
- 1:24:09Great player every time. That's why.
- 1:24:12And that's the way I always see it, Like he could be a couple.
- 1:24:16Was it a couple years ago? MVP talks but overshadowed by
- 1:24:20everyone. Listen, I don't care if you took
- 1:24:22him, but is that the only reason why you picked Goody Ramirez?
- 1:24:27For me, yeah. Do you even?
- 1:24:29Let me ask you a question. Let me ask you a question.
- 1:24:31My question to you. My one question.
- 1:24:33Do you even know who Edgar Martinez is?
- 1:24:36Do you know who? Yeah.
- 1:24:37Who is he? Who is he?
- 1:24:39Who is he? He's.
- 1:24:39The DH for the Mariners. DH for the Mariners and do you
- 1:24:42know what he did for the Mariners?
- 1:24:45Dude, he was a good player for the Mariners.
- 1:24:47You know what he. Did without knowing what they're
- 1:24:49talking about all the time. I'm just in every.
- 1:24:51I've just said, I've just said, you know.
- 1:24:54Your audience. In 2016, when Trump beat Hillary
- 1:24:58Clinton, 15,000 people voted for the dead gorilla Harambe.
- 1:25:02I wrote the name in. Kanye, here's another gorilla.
- 1:25:07Just just that's. True story.
- 1:25:09Here's another up and coming Cleveland Indian that they're
- 1:25:12comparing to Jose Ramirez. Angel Martinez switch here.
- 1:25:19I should go grab him my fantasy team.
- 1:25:22If if it's a dynasty team, maybe.
- 1:25:24Yeah, I was just. Going to say he's not, he's not
- 1:25:26there yet. He's still a little bit of ways
- 1:25:27away. Yeah, but they're they're
- 1:25:29they're giving comps the cozy. OK.
- 1:25:32All right, let's go on to Speedy.
- 1:25:34So I actually think because Goody took reliever and and a
- 1:25:38second baseman to that, I think kind of get undervalued to I'm
- 1:25:41actually going to lean him slightly.
- 1:25:43I think the argument for Goose gotchas was very good because I
- 1:25:46think you look at that time with Raleigh Fingers and Dennis
- 1:25:48Eckersley, even in the 80s, Lee Smith, there were other
- 1:25:50relievers I think didn't get as much attention.
- 1:25:52So I think this description of that was good and even second
- 1:25:55base too when you when you look at.
- 1:25:57Like all the Hall of Famers, That's not what we're playing
- 1:26:00here. You.
- 1:26:01If I was going to do that, I could have went with Hall of
- 1:26:03Famers, too. That's not the game you.
- 1:26:05Guys are listening. You just kind of just.
- 1:26:08Dude, I'll give you the win. He doesn't like an uneducated
- 1:26:11electorate. It doesn't.
- 1:26:13How ironic. It doesn't make sense.
- 1:26:15Are you kidding me? They're they were.
- 1:26:17How is that They were not? How does that make?
- 1:26:20Sense to Hall of Farmers, they get their respect.
- 1:26:24That's not the way that that's. Not they got the respect.
- 1:26:26After they're Hall of Famers, dude, they're all.
- 1:26:30Of Famers. All right, Jabba, you can.
- 1:26:33You are going to decide Errol is trailing 2 to one.
- 1:26:38Yeah, Errol's hot right now. You know what you want to.
- 1:26:40Do Java. No, I.
- 1:26:42How are you voting? I I, I like what Speedy said
- 1:26:45too, even though I can't stand Goose, but he tried to make good
- 1:26:48graces with me. So it's water under the bridge.
- 1:26:50Whatever I I do like obviously Errol made good points of who
- 1:26:55they were, but you could have done Hall of Farmers.
- 1:26:59But I'd like goodies take on the fact that like they got their do
- 1:27:04credit after the fact. Like it wasn't as it was
- 1:27:07happening. They did become Hall of Farmers.
- 1:27:10So yeah, I'm going with good. Let's go.
- 1:27:12And that means the king has been dethroned.
- 1:27:18Oh my goodness, say it ain't so. Let's put him right at the top,
- 1:27:24right here, and announce for the world to see Nick Goody.
- 1:27:31Let's go, baby. And all his Charizard holograms,
- 1:27:34I will say, are now king. I will say this, I don't care if
- 1:27:37he won, but that made no sense. I really don't get that Hall of
- 1:27:42farmers or Hall of farmers. If that was the case, I would
- 1:27:45have went the Hall of Farmers and was said, well, this guy
- 1:27:47that's. Guy, would you have gone with?
- 1:27:48It's the. Most underrated players of all
- 1:27:52time, that's. Who would you have gone with?
- 1:27:54What do you mean Hall of Farmers?
- 1:27:56I can go with a lot of guys. You want me to name some of
- 1:27:58them? What's your name?
- 1:28:00A couple. Hall of Famers of all time that
- 1:28:02I could just pull out of my ass all.
- 1:28:04Right, that are that are underrated.
- 1:28:06All right, underrated Pudge Martinez, Pudge Rodriguez.
- 1:28:10Pudge Rodriguez is one of them. I would go at Pudge if I, as far
- 1:28:14as catchers are concerned, if I'm looking at, I would go.
- 1:28:18I don't. Feel like he was underrated bro.
- 1:28:19Nobody wanted to steal on him. One of the best.
- 1:28:22Players in the game. He was underrated compared to
- 1:28:24all the other catchers. How about Todd Hilton?
- 1:28:27How about Todd Hilton? Hilton, I could say, is one.
- 1:28:30Yeah, all. Right.
- 1:28:31So I could have went with a lot of guys.
- 1:28:33If I sat here and thought of them, I would have.
- 1:28:35I would have pulled. Larry Walker I thought was one.
- 1:28:39A guy like that too was like, I mean.
- 1:28:41You don't you, Larry. Walker could have been.
- 1:28:43You don't when you're saying most underrated players of all
- 1:28:46time. Those are the guys that never
- 1:28:48got they're, they're due and that's Billy Wagner.
- 1:28:52Could have been won then. That's why they're not in the
- 1:28:54Hall of Fame. Billy Wagner would have been a
- 1:28:56good pick for this that Billy. Wagner.
- 1:28:58Is another one. You'd have picked that, so it's.
- 1:29:01I didn't think we were talking. About it now.
- 1:29:02It's all right. We're letting you get this out.
- 1:29:04Errol, you lost your crown. You did not like the fact that
- 1:29:07the democracy. No, I don't.
- 1:29:10I I don't get it. That's not what that's not.
- 1:29:13What? A lot of people didn't
- 1:29:14understand what happened in November either.
- 1:29:17Well, I I doubt that's not what everybody thought.
- 1:29:20Only you, because I you know why.
- 1:29:22But that's all another. I would say, you know, 47% of
- 1:29:25the country in like 20% Russian population, you know, they,
- 1:29:28they're the ones that. And that's why.
- 1:29:31And that's why, ladies and gentlemen, we're going to be
- 1:29:33with him right now. Anyways, that's it for our show,
- 1:29:37ladies and gentlemen. I hope everybody enjoyed it.
- 1:29:40I didn't. Anyways, thank you to our very
- 1:29:45special guests. They were fantastic.
- 1:29:47They really were. I I appreciate both of them.
- 1:29:51I will say this, I I'm definitely going to reach out to
- 1:29:54Bob Rathbin for joining us. He's sensational.
- 1:29:57He really was. And and Mr. Lovic, dude, I've
- 1:30:00been dealing with my own shit during the show.
- 1:30:03I don't know if you guys would have done the show when you when
- 1:30:05you get a freaking text the way you did knowing that your
- 1:30:08sister's in the hospital. So I've been dealing with that
- 1:30:11over the last 4 1/2 hours. I don't know if I'm going to
- 1:30:15Saint John's after this. I might, I might do that.
- 1:30:18I don't know. So, but anyways, thank you to
- 1:30:21all the fans on obviously, Spotify, Apple, all the Tik Toks
- 1:30:27that we're on from Worldwide Sports Radio Network and drop in
- 1:30:29the mouth, Instagram, Facebook, Worldwide Sports Radio Network,
- 1:30:34YouTube, all the different platforms, platforms that we're
- 1:30:38on. We really appreciate you guys as
- 1:30:39always. We'll be back on Mondays and
- 1:30:42Monday and Wednesday. Speedy, do we have any guests?
- 1:30:45Niche. I was Nathan for getting this
- 1:30:46one. On Monday at 8:45 we have Jaden
- 1:30:49Fielder. Donald Trump, Donald.
- 1:30:52Trump, Jaden Fielder, Who is the son?
- 1:30:53That's when Fish won't be the executive producer of the show.
- 1:30:56Wrong. Jaden Fielder, the son of Prince
- 1:30:59Fielder and the grandson of Cecil Fielder, left fielder and
- 1:31:022nd baseman, is currently in the Milwaukee Brewers organization
- 1:31:05will be joining us at 8:45 tender.
- 1:31:08Anyways, there you go. So we got somebody on Monday.
- 1:31:10We'll probably have a couple more guys on Wednesday.
- 1:31:14Yeah, it was a good one. And as always, we have to go it.
- 1:31:19It's what is anybody? Is anybody doing anything fun on
- 1:31:22the weekend? I am I'm.
- 1:31:23Going Who cares what you're doing?
- 1:31:26Anybody else have anything fun to do over the weekend?
- 1:31:29I might go to a card show and offload some of these Pokémon.
- 1:31:32Cards. There you go.
- 1:31:34It sounds like a good time I I think.
- 1:31:36My son is like stoked about it if we go, so yeah.
- 1:31:40Well, I'm, I'm, it's my, it's my niece's birthday.
- 1:31:43We're going down to see her. Happy birthday.
- 1:31:45Happy birthday. How old is she 22 and where are
- 1:31:50you going? Going to be right by you down on
- 1:31:52the in Strong Island. Long Island.
- 1:31:56The old, the old fish pot, the old.
- 1:32:01Snatch Warner the Long Island Ducks card Goody nice.
- 1:32:04Spider Man ducks. Neutral ambush, not encouraging.
- 1:32:071 hairstyle dead man's Dick. All right, that's it.
- 1:32:11Good night, everybody. We'll talk to you then.
- 1:32:13It's the worldwide sports radio network, Radio network.
