- 0:20Thank you again for joining me here at America Outloud.
- 0:26News.
- 0:27Love that name, folks.
- 0:29I tell you all the time I love that name because it's on this broadcast network, America Can Be Out Loud, and we bring to you news.
- 0:37You're listening to Rogers for America.
- 0:39Why Rogers for America?
- 0:41Well, I am for America, and I am Steve Rogers.
- 0:45Makes sense, don't it?
- 0:47Yep, common sense in this world.
- 0:49That's all we need to do is put it together, and we come out with some of the most profound statements, if you will.
- 0:54What do you think of that, folks?
- 0:56I am proud of this network.
- 0:57I am proud of what we do at this broadcast, and I am proud of the American people who are standing up for God and country.
- 1:05Now, for years, it used to be for months, used to be for weeks, but now for years, as time just whizzes by.
- 1:19They don't belong anymore on U.S.
- 1:22soil.
- 1:22Now, I would have not said that many years ago, but the fact of the matter is that most of the nations now, at least in my view, are not friendly to the United States of America.
- 1:33You know, it was a promising idea when the UN was founded in 1945, no doubt about that.
- 1:40I think it was a great idea.
- 1:42UN was created after the League of Nations was created.
- 1:45You know, the whole idea was to let's get some leaders together in one room in one building in one place when there are conflicts going on, and let's settle them between ourselves.
- 1:56Great idea.
- 1:57Great idea.
- 1:58But now, in this century, the 21st century, well after 1945, based on its radical membership and its thirst for anti-American positions and the corruption that's going on in the United Nations.
- 2:16I say it's time to go.
- 2:19Absolutely time to go.
- 2:22Now, after World War II, the United Nations was formed to help prevent further global conflicts, as I said earlier.
- 2:31And it was supposed to, and it did years ago, encourage international cooperation.
- 2:38That's what it was all about, right after World War II.
- 2:42Look it, we had just gone through two world wars, World War I, World War II, many, many people died as a result of many, many leaders for some reason not being able to sit down and straighten out their problems.
- 2:54You got a maniac in the name of Adolf Hitler who decided that he was going to conquer the world.
- 2:59Well, he got conquered.
- 3:01After the United States of America got involved in that war, he got conquered.
- 3:06In fact, anybody who rises up against freedom and liberty around the world will end up at the very, very bad end of the military might of the United States of America.
- 3:20Now, don't you think I should be saying, well, anybody who dares create conflicts around the world and tries to rise up against freedom and liberty worldwide, that they're going to deal with the United Nations?
- 3:33Well, that's impossible these days, folks, because the United Nations is now part of the problem instead of part of the solution.
- 3:42And unfortunately, it's just continuing on and on and on as an irrelevant, unwanted organization, at least in my view, here in the United States of America.
- 3:56You know, the concept of the United Nations again arose during the war, war World War II when President Franklin Roosevelt of the United States of America pushed for an institution that would replace the League of Nations.
- 4:12And it would be led by the United States.
- 4:14The United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, and China.
- 4:18Those were some of the most powerful nations on Earth back then, soon after World War II.
- 4:23So uh President Roosevelt suggested and was successful in bringing the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union and China into the fold.
- 4:34Now I am sure that the Soviet Union and China saw this concept, if you will, at that time as an effective method to do what?
- 4:46To collect intelligence.
- 4:50Meaning to collect intelligence on the United States of America.
- 4:55And that hasn't stopped since then.
- 4:57In fact, it's grown and grown and grown.
- 4:59And now I'm sure they've got so many spies running around the United Nations that uh probably every single one of those Chinese uh representatives belong to the Chinese Communist Party, and they are Chinese intelligence agents.
- 5:16Soviet Union's gone, but Russia's still around.
- 5:18Yeah, Russia has their agents in there too.
- 5:20Look at the old saying, a leopard doesn't change its colors.
- 5:24Well, communists don't change their colors, and Russia, as far as I'm concerned, uh they're no fools.
- 5:31All right.
- 5:31Vladimir Putin is not a fool.
- 5:33So they have outposts now.
- 5:35And the outposts are in New York City.
- 5:38That's right.
- 5:40Intelligence gathering outposts all over the world.
- 5:43And the biggest intelligence gathering outpost in my view is in the United States of America in New York City.
- 5:50Yep.
- 5:51That's from the Chinese and from the Russians and from the Iranians, and let's go down the list of enemies of the United States of America.
- 5:58You could believe they are collaborating with each other, trying to find a way to destroy our beloved nation.
- 6:05That's why I have said over and over and over again, they gotta go.
- 6:11Now, when the United States was founded, delegates from 50 nations, 50, they came together to draft and sign what they call the UN Charter, which set out the organization's goals, its principles, and its structure.
- 6:26So far, so good, well organized.
- 6:29Good thinkers, common sense, putting together an organization that would promote world peace.
- 6:36So the charter was then ratified by the main allied powers.
- 6:41China, France, Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
- 6:46So it appeared for the most part that there was a balance that was running the United Nations.
- 6:53There were the bad guys, which I identify as China and the Soviet Union at that time.
- 6:59And then there were the good guys, United Kingdom, France, and the United States.
- 7:00With the good guys, United Kingdom, France, and the United States.
- 7:04Boy, hasn't that changed lately?
- 7:04Boy, hasn't that changed lately?
- 7:06So let's look at that a minute.
- 7:06So let's look at that a minute.
- 7:07China, still a bad guy.
- 7:07China, still a bad guy.
- 7:09France?
- 7:09France, I don't think they're a good guy.
- 7:10I don't think they're a good guy.
- 7:12Maybe not fully a bad guy, but getting there.
- 7:12Maybe not fully a bad guy, but getting there.
- 7:14Soviet Union, well, they're gone, but Russia took their place.
- 7:14Soviet Union, well, they're gone, but Russia took their place.
- 7:18United Kingdom?
- 7:18United Kingdom, yeah, you know, not a bad uh uh a certified bad guy, but not a good guy either, at least at this point.
- 7:18Yeah, you know, not a bad uh uh a certified bad guy, but not a good guy either, at least at this point.
- 7:26And then we have the United States.
- 7:26And then we have the United States, always was, is now, and always will be the good guys.
- 7:27Always was, is now an old.
- 7:32And then they had uh some other signatories on this uh UN charter, and then they officially established the United Nations, believe it was on October 24th, 1945.
- 7:44Why do I believe that?
- 7:46Because I understand by many from many people that October 24th, 1945 is a date that is recognized as United Nations Day.
- 7:56I didn't know that.
- 7:57I didn't know it because I never heard of it, and I never heard of it because I don't know if anybody celebrates it anymore.
- 8:05Is there truly a United Nations?
- 8:07And if there's not truly United Nations, you're not gonna celebrate United Nations Day.
- 8:13In fact, I don't even think the United Nations celebrates United Nations Day.
- 8:18Something we got to look into, folks.
- 8:20Another one of those things that just come and go.
- 8:23United Nations Day.
- 8:25And if there is a day where you celebrate United Nations Day, you could be sure I will not be attending any celebrations that celebrate the United Nations, at least at this point in time in the history of not only our nation, but of the world.
- 8:40So now you got the United Nations was created again for what reason?
- 8:44It was created to help maintain worldwide peace and security, promote human rights, support social and economic advancement, all good things, great things, and encourage international cooperation on what?
- 9:00Humanitarian issues.
- 9:02That's what it was created for.
- 9:04Now I could tell you there was a difference between the League of Nations and the UN, because unlike the League of Nations, the UN developed a stronger systems of collective security and engaged countries more actively.
- 9:18Look, the League of Nations, they didn't have much of a strong, strong uh structure where they could actually come to the aid of each other in the events of some enemy rising up and attacking, attacking a member of the League of Nations.
- 9:30But now, with the United Nations intact, uh, there's this big, very strong collective security uh put together that will join countries together in the event that uh one peaceful nation is attacked from a belligerent nation.
- 9:47Really?
- 9:48I tell you, I think about this.
- 9:50Really?
- 9:51You think that's really ever happened before?
- 9:54Look at it, I've I've heard over the years of my lifetime that when some countries were attacked, you've got the the United Nations sending what they call UN troops into hostile areas, the Middle East, in the beginning of uh the Vietnam war uh developing over there way back then in history, uh UN forces went into the UN, uh went into Vietnam and uh and on and on and on, where there were problems uh arising up in Africa, certain parts of Europe and Asia.
- 10:23Uh these were the guys running around with blue helmets on.
- 10:26You see a blue Hamlet, you don't shoot them.
- 10:28They're the United Nations.
- 10:31Guess what?
- 10:32The enemies of freedom and liberty didn't care if you had a green helmet, brown helmet, or blue helmet.
- 10:40If you weren't the enemy of freedom and liberty, you were gonna get shot.
- 10:44So that's what uh has been going on throughout the history as far as the UN.
- 10:48Now, look at I understand that uh the UN, yeah.
- 10:52I I know in the past they've done a lot of good things, right?
- 10:56Food, humanitarian aid all over the world.
- 10:59I mean, they've done a lot of good things.
- 11:01And you know how they're able to do a lot of good things, folks?
- 11:04Because we pay for that.
- 11:06That's right.
- 11:07The American taxpayers, we pay for all of that.
- 11:10We give more money to the UN than any other country on the face of the earth.
- 11:15That's right.
- 11:16That's absolutely right.
- 11:17And we're gonna continue to do that, I guess, until such time that uh we begin to do what we've done here in the United States.
- 11:25We audit the books.
- 11:27We do a doge.
- 11:28Remember Doge by Elon Musk?
- 11:30We go in there and we clean house financially.
- 11:33Let's find out how much we're spending on the United Nations.
- 11:37Let's see how much we're giving to world peace, and then uh take it from there.
- 11:42I think we ought to stop giving to the UN and uh just maybe, maybe as I think about this, help advance President Trump's new Board of Peace.
- 11:53That's pretty neat.
- 11:54He created a Board of Peace, and he brought the you know, Russia in, he brought other countries from around the world in to sit down and to truly have discussions regarding world peace.
- 12:04Hasn't gotten very far right now because we're engaged in a major war over there with Iran, but I'll tell you what, he he the president thought out of the box, and uh why not?
- 12:15Why not give it a try?
- 12:16Probably more will be more effective than the United Nations and a lot less expensive.
- 12:22But um the United Nations created to help maintain worldwide peace.
- 12:27Has it done that?
- 12:28I don't believe it's achieved that goal since its inception in the 1940 and 1945.
- 12:35Encourage international cooperation.
- 12:38Well, have they done that?
- 12:40I think they've done more damage to international cooperation.
- 12:43Seems to me that they're taking radical progressive uh positions on just about every issue that comes before that body.
- 12:52Condemning Israel, condemning America, right?
- 12:55Think about that, folks.
- 12:57You talk about uh biting the hand off that feed you.
- 13:00Well, you bite our hand off, well, you're not gonna get fed anymore.
- 13:04I mean, have they really stood up in the UN?
- 13:06I mean, in a real strong, tough demonstrative way for freedom, liberty, and justice worldwide?
- 13:11I haven't seen that.
- 13:13If you have, let me know.
- 13:14I'd like to find out where you get your information.
- 13:17So uh that's what's been going on.
- 13:19The uh they haven't been able to really, really uh abide by their charter.
- 13:25So since its establishment, the United Nations has gradually violated its own charter by neglecting to promote human rights and failing to foster international cooperation for maintaining global peace.
- 13:40Have we heard a peep, a peep out of the mouths of the UN to condemn Iran over its slaughtering of their own citizens on the streets of Tehran who were protesting?
- 13:54Hear anything from the UN folks?
- 13:56The public hanging of people, this execution of children in front of their moms and their dads in Iran.
- 14:00This execution of children in front of their moms and their dads in Iran.
- 14:06Any words coming out of the UN?
- 14:06Any words coming out of the UN?
- 14:09I don't hear anything.
- 14:09I don't hear anything.
- 14:10I don't even hear crickets.
- 14:10I don't even hear crickets.
- 14:11Nothing.
- 14:11Nothing.
- 14:12Not a word.
- 14:12Not a word.
- 14:14Remember the uh picture of the Chinese uh guy we saw in uh years and years ago in Tenement Square, standing tough, standing strong in front of a Chinese Communist Party tank.
- 14:14Remember the uh picture of the Chinese uh guy we saw in uh years and years ago in Tenement Square, standing tough, standing strong in front of a Chinese Communist Party tank.
- 14:26Yeah.
- 14:26Yeah.
- 14:26Got on the news, a lot of people spoke up, uh
- 14:26Got on the news, a lot of people spoke up uh in favor of this man's courage.
- 14:32Did you hear anything from the United Nations?
- 14:34Ooh, I didn't.
- 14:35I don't remember a peep coming out of the United Nations.
- 14:38Yep, that's that's those are facts, folks.
- 14:41You know, we're adding it up, fact after fact after fact.
- 14:44You're adding it up, I am, but nobody else seems to be doing that.
- 14:47But maybe our president will.
- 14:49Maybe our Congress should.
- 14:51Maybe we ought to write letters to Congress and say, hey, look, it's time for the UN to go.
- 14:56Maybe here at America Out Loud.news we'll launch some sort of uh uh uh uh an educational uh advocacy program that will enlighten the American people on facts that will lead us to take some action, of course, within the framework of the law, uh that will ask our lawmakers to finally pass legislation to get rid of the United Nations.
- 15:22Get it out of America.
- 15:24You want to keep the UN good, go to Moscow, go to Beijing, go to Tehran, go somewhere far away from U.S.
- 15:32soil.
- 15:33Nowadays there seems to be a watchdog group monitoring every organization, right?
- 15:38Every organization.
- 15:40Well, it doesn't surprise me that there is a watchdog group, and I'm happy to learn about this.
- 15:48There is a watchdog group that is actually monitoring the actions of the United Nations.
- 15:54So in the scheme in the world of everybody tracking each other, everybody watching, everybody, lo and behold, there is somebody, there is some group watching the United Nations.
- 16:07So after they do their watching of the United Nations and they make their discourages discoveries, I wonder what's next.
- 16:14The group is called, from what I understand, UN watch.
- 16:18I like that name because it's short, it's direct, we know what they're doing.
- 16:22They happen to be an independent, non-government organization based in Geneva that monitors the United Nations.
- 16:30And uh I've got to tell you that uh they they recently called out Canada, France, Spain, Norway, the Netherlands, Australia, and the UK.
- 16:43Now listen to this, folks, call them out, and other democratic nations to explain.
- 16:49Hold on to your seats, to explain their participation in doing what?
- 16:55In electing frequent human rights violators to important UN bodies responsible for overseeing human rights.
- 17:05What do you think of that, folks?
- 17:07That's an absolute fact.
- 17:08I did some digging, and yeah, they're right.
- 17:11The UN watch is right.
- 17:12Canada, France, Spain, Norway and the Netherlands, and Australia and the UK, they decide to vote in favor of putting the heads and leaders, I shall say, of countries that violate human rights as a way of life in charge of overseeing human rights.
- 17:29Now, the United Nations, 54 member economic and social council has nominated.
- 17:37Get a load of this, folks.
- 17:38You you I'll tell you what.
- 17:40Uh I hope you're you're sitting very securely in your seats, because when I learned this, it just, you know.
- 17:47Did it surprise me?
- 17:48No.
- 17:49Did it shock me?
- 17:50No, but it disturbed me, yeah.
- 17:53The United Nations 54 member economic and social council.
- 17:57There's always a committee, right?
- 17:59Always a council.
- 18:00Always, always groups of people coming together to do what?
- 18:04All right.
- 18:04What does the economic and social council of the United Nations do?
- 18:08Well, whatever they do, they did do one thing that um I think it's downright dumb.
- 18:15All right.
- 18:15They nominated, yeah, yeah, boy, I tell you, folks, if this wasn't so serious, it would really be laughable.
- 18:22They nominated the Islamic Republic of Iran.
- 18:25Now we know who those characters are, right?
- 18:28To serve on the UN's Committee for Program and Coordination, another committee.
- 18:33Could you imagine?
- 18:34So we're talking about the economic and social council, whatever that is, nominating the Islamic Republic of Iran.
- 18:44We know who those bugs are, to serve on the United Nations Committee for Program and Coordination.
- 18:49What in the world is that all about?
- 18:51Now, this committee, we're supposed to meet in the next few months.
- 18:56Guess what they're responsible for?
- 18:58You ready?
- 18:59This is now the Republic of Iran heading this committee.
- 19:04They're responsible for shaping policies regarding, here you go, sit down, I really mean it, sit down.
- 19:11Women's rights, human rights, disarmament, and efforts to prevent terrorism.
- 19:17You gotta be kidding me.
- 19:19This is what you and I, taxpayers of the United States of America are funding.
- 19:24Oh, yeah.
- 19:25Yep.
- 19:26Want me to say it again to you folks?
- 19:29Iran, the Republic of Iran, the thugs who are running Iran, executing people, violating human rights.
- 19:36There are no women rights in Iran.
- 19:40They're arming themselves to the teeth to destroy Israel and the United States and some of the Arab nations right in the Persian Gulf.
- 19:46They're financing terrorism worldwide.
- 19:49They're now the watchdogs.
- 19:51They are now the committee.
- 19:52They are now responsible with this committee for programs and coordination of the United Nations to do what?
- 20:02To watch human rights, to watch women's rights, to advocate disarmament, and to advocate the dissolution, if you will, the elimination of terrorism.
- 20:18They're the ones committing these crimes.
- 20:21And you put them in charge.
- 20:24I'll tell you.
- 20:29And what's very disturbing is not too many people are paying attention.
- 20:35Look it up, check it out.
- 20:36Look for uh who's in charge of the Committee for Program and Coordination and the United Nations.
- 20:44We're gonna do another broadcast on this.
- 20:46I I gotta get somebody to do a little bit more research for me on this, because I really think we ought to speak up here at America Out Loud.news.
- 20:53We need to get out loud on this.
- 20:54I want to get all our ducks in the water.
- 20:56I want to get all the facts together and truly address this in a more formal way, and maybe start a movement here across the United States to address this.
- 21:01In a more formal way, and maybe start a movement here across the United States to address this.
- 21:08I really believe that, folks.
- 21:09I really believe that, folks.
- 21:10That we gotta we gotta get the word out that uh we got a bunch of maniacs running the United Nations.
- 21:10That we gotta we gotta get the word out that uh we got a bunch of maniacs running the United Nations.
- 21:17I know some people don't like to hear me say that, but what up?
- 21:17I know some people don't like to hear me say that, but what up?
- 21:21What do you want me to say?
- 21:21What do you want me to say?
- 21:22We got a bunch of leaders running the UN, good people.
- 21:22We got a bunch of leaders running the UN, good people.
- 21:26We got a group of uh intellectuals running the United Nations.
- 21:26We got a group of uh intellectuals running the United Nations.
- 21:32We got people who are evil running the United Nations.
- 21:36There may be some good people mixed in there.
- 21:38I haven't heard from them lately.
- 21:40China's saying a lot, Russia's saying a lot.
- 21:43Iran, they're saying a lot.
- 21:46Terrorist uh sympathizers and supporters are saying a lot.
- 21:51I don't hear too much coming out of uh, at least in support of freedom and liberty from uh the UK, from France, right?
- 22:00Don't forget the United Kingdom, France, some other countries, they turn their backs on us, you know, as members of NATO.
- 22:08They turn their backs on us.
- 22:10And that uh that doesn't fly with me.
- 22:13And I've you know, the deep, the deep inside of me says, you know what?
- 22:18At some point in time, at some point in time, they better be careful because not if, in my view, but when Russia decides to go after a NATO country, they will be begging us for help.
- 22:35They will be begging the United States to send our treasure in blood to defend them.
- 22:42Now, should we turn our backs on them?
- 22:44Two wrongs don't make a right.
- 22:45Two wrongs don't make a right, but I wouldn't make it easy.
- 22:48I would do what the president of the United States said to them, we'll remember.
- 22:52We will remember.
- 22:54I wouldn't make it easy.
- 22:55And I'd make sure that the bulk of the uh the assistance they need or the armament they need and the manpower they need, they carry the big load, not us.
- 23:07But I wouldn't say turn our back on them because if there is ever an assault on uh a European nation, it's gonna be ugly, it's gonna be bad.
- 23:16China gotta watch out for them, folks.
- 23:19Gotta watch out for them.
- 23:20They're up there in the North Pole along with Russia.
- 23:23Gotta watch out for them.
- 23:25Don't forget Greenland.
- 23:27You know what?
- 23:28Denmark, those Scandinavian countries.
- 23:30We got some NATO countries in there.
- 23:32Greenland's part of that.
- 23:34Man oh man.
- 23:36So it's incredible, don't you think that the country, Iran, has been nominated with the support of many of our allies to oversee the rights, the liberties and freedoms and justice of people all over the world.
- 23:47Yes, the country, Iran that tortures and kills its own citizens for peacefully protesting government policies.
- 23:57It's known that such a nomination is rubber stamp by the entire UN Assembly, and they just simply take the gavel and boom, that's it.
- 24:08Iran, you're now in charge of this new committee to oversee human rights, etc.
- 24:14Well, the United States was the sole member to raise an objection stating that Iran is unfit to serve in this capacity.
- 24:21Of course, they're they're unfit.
- 24:24Dictators are beginning to control important UN committees, ensuring that human rights folks are going to be weakened and in some cases eliminated in some countries.
- 24:36What are the leaders of the West?
- 24:38What are they thinking?
- 24:41Who in the world are in a lot of these countries that are supposed to be our allies are promoting this kind of stuff.
- 24:50I've got to tell you, man, I've got to tell you.
- 24:53It's absolutely incredible.
- 24:55Unbelievable, but that's what's happening.
- 24:59So uh what's next?
- 25:00What do you think is next, folks?
- 25:02What do you think is next?
- 25:03I'll tell you what should be next.
- 25:05Again, as I said earlier.
- 25:07If we're the only ones around the world that are very well aware of what's going on, then we need to take action.

- 31:54All of you out there and all of those families that have loved ones who are now serving in the United States Armed Forces, as well as those who have served.
- 32:02So again, uh welcome and thank you for uh coming back.
- 32:06Uh look at I want to talk a little bit about during the second half about friends, right?
- 32:11We we how many friends do you have?
- 32:13When you count on your finger, I'm sorry, you count on your hands, how many friends can you really count on?
- 32:20But I'm going to talk to you about a friend that uh they're gonna go away.
- 32:23And whether you know it or not, this person is your friend through thick and through thin.
- 32:28Now I could tell you throughout my life, I have often wondered how to become a true friend to one person and one person only.
- 32:36And that person happens to be God.
- 32:39That's right.
- 32:40I remember at a as a young kid, I used to pray a lot.
- 32:43My parents brought me up uh to understand that there's a God above, that I'm accountable to him, and they would constantly share with me every day of your life, try to get closer and closer to him through prayer through reading your Bible.
- 32:58I remember we went to uh catechism classes and communion classes.
- 33:02So my my parents really uh uh grounded me uh as well as my brother and my sister when we were young uh in the holy word of God, in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 33:14And so as time went on, I I truly wanted to uh get to know him personally.
- 33:19And I guess, like many, you know, I knew there was a God because my parents gave me a very well-grounded Christian education, and then they need to always pray and know that God was always watching over me.
- 33:34But I remember my mother used to say, on your right shoulder is God.
- 33:40On your left shoulder is the devil.
- 33:42Yeah, as a kid, as a young kid, she she would say this to us, uh kind of, you know, the the right shoulder figure that's good.
- 33:49God's on that side, but scared the living daylights out of us that there was this little guy with a pitchfork and horns running around our left shoulder.
- 33:57Uh she said, always look to the right and know that he, meaning God is watching, and you will do what is right.
- 34:04And she was right.
- 34:05I figured, you know, when I was able to do something that I knew was wrong, I actually looked at my right shoulder, and then I kind of quick glance at the left shoulder and said, uh-uh, uh-uh.
- 34:17It didn't always work that way, folks, but I gotta tell you, for the most part, I got uh a good education from mom and dad with regard to how to build a relationship with uh God Almighty.
- 34:28So as the years went on, I did uh grow older and uh had a hunger and thirst to really get to know God.
- 34:37And I think all of us at some point in time perhaps do that as we get older.
- 34:42But uh sometimes a lot of us don't.
- 34:44So in time I took a giant step forward.
- 34:47Yep.
- 34:47Took a long time.
- 34:49Years, a couple of decades, maybe more than a couple decades.
- 34:52Not until I was in my 30s, I would suppose.
- 34:55I took a giant step forward when a fellow Christian had shown me what is written in the Bible in John 14 6.
- 35:00In the Bible in John 14 6.
- 35:02All right.
- 35:02All right.
- 35:03That is when uh this uh guy named Nicodemus comes along.
- 35:03That is when this guy named Nicodemus comes along.
- 35:07He was a leader in the government during the early New Testament days, Roman, Roman soldier, Roman centurion.
- 35:07He was a leader in the government uh during the uh early New Testament days, Roman, Roman soldier, Roman Centurion, and he asked Christ, he says, Let me ask you something.
- 35:15And he asked Christ, he says, Let me ask you something.
- 35:17Basically, he he was saying, Well, how can I, how can I get uh close to you?
- 35:17Basically, he he was saying, Well, how can I how can I get uh close to you?
- 35:23How can I, you know, really become a follower of you?
- 35:23How can I, you know, really become a follower of you?
- 35:27And uh, you know, Jesus said, uh
- 35:27And uh, you know, Jesus said, uh, I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me.
- 35:36And he also said in another scripture in the book of John, unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of heaven.
- 35:44Frankly, what he was told by Jesus was unless a man understand fully from his heart, his soul, and his spirit, who God is, unless a man, including a woman, by the way, we use man uh, you know, in the plural sense, uh, and let's say man and woman get to know who God really is, get to know that he is in fact Jesus Christ, uh, you're not gonna be able to get to know him as a close friend.
- 36:12You can't just say, I believe in God, I believe in Jesus.
- 36:15You gotta say, well, you know what?
- 36:18I do more than just believe in him, I accept him.
- 36:22I accept him as my Lord and Savior.
- 36:25I accept him as who he is.
- 36:29That individual who shed his blood, crucified, died, was buried, shed his blood for me, so that my sins may be forgiven.
- 36:39That's what he did.
- 36:40This is facts, folks.
- 36:41This is not fantasy, this is not a novel.
- 36:43It's written in the word of God.
- 36:46So uh I knew I had to do something.
- 36:49I knew I had to accept Christ as my savior, my friend.
- 36:53Of course, the Bible says a man must be born again.
- 36:56Now, people think, oh, I'm gonna I don't want to change my religion, I don't want to be involved with these born again people and all that.
- 37:02You know, I heard it all, heard it all.
- 37:04Has nothing to do with that.
- 37:06Born again simply means that as Jesus said, a man's born of the water, right?
- 37:10Meaning we're born from our mother's womb, and then later in life, at a time that we may not even know is coming, but it'll come.
- 37:20A man is born of the spirit.
- 37:23Born again.
- 37:24We were already born of the the water, right?
- 37:26The mother's womb.
- 37:27So that's the first time, and then we're born again of the spirit.
- 37:31And that is when the Holy Spirit of God, all right, begins to move in our lives, move in our heart, our soul, and our spirits.
- 37:41That is when you get the message from God Almighty that He wants you to be His friend.
- 37:50So I did that.
- 37:51I came to Him, I came to Christ.
- 37:53I I I actually confessed to Him all of my sins.
- 37:58Some I remembered, and those who I didn't, I said, Well, you know what, Lord, you know what they are.
- 38:02Forgive me for not going down the whole list of a whole bunch of sins I've created, but I want you to know that I don't understand all of this uh this uh stuff, but uh I I'll accept, I'll accept your word on its face value, and I really want you to be and understand that I accept you as my personal friend and my savior.
- 38:22I believe you were crucified, you were died, you were buried, and most importantly, that you shed your bloods, your blood so that my sins may be forgiven.
- 38:33That's it.
- 38:34That's all you gotta do.
- 38:35God wants you to be your friend, and that's the kind of the first steps to be his friend.
- 38:40Remember what I just said at the book of John, right?
- 38:42I am the way, the truth, and the life.
- 38:44No one comes to the Father except through me, meaning through Jesus.
- 38:48You gotta be his friend.
- 38:49You guys can't say, Well, listen, I believe in God, okay.
- 38:53Are you his friend?
- 38:54Oh, yeah, I pray every day.
- 38:55Really?
- 38:56I don't care if you pray every day, go to church every day.
- 38:59If you're not being his friend from the heart, I mean from your heart, for goodness sakes, you're not much of a friend.
- 39:06Hmm.
- 39:06Pretty pretty heavy at times, right?
- 39:09But it's not that hard to show that you're his friend.
- 39:13You just say that prayer, that prayer, that confession of faith from your heart.
- 39:18Now, being friends with God isn't about keeping a bunch of rules or going through all sorts of religious motions.
- 39:25I I gotta tell you, over the years, you know, I I've I've begin to realize that there seems to be a lot of division in in churches these days.
- 39:34Who's got this rule?
- 39:36Who's got that rule?
- 39:37You can't do this, you can't do that, you gotta celebrate a certain ritual on a certain day.
- 39:43Uh you got to do this, you gotta do that.
- 39:45Jesus, he only set up 10 rules.
- 39:48Ten.
- 39:49All right.
- 39:50And out of those ten, when you put it all together, you realize, hey, this guy wants us to be his friend.
- 39:57You know, he gave Moses not a uh uh uh uh 10, 15, 20 volumes of rules and regulations.
- 40:05He goes Moses the Ten Commandments.
- 40:07He said, Hey, share these with the people, and then they'll be my friend, a true friend.
- 40:14We can't even obey ten rules.
- 40:15So, so does one expect that we're gonna uh you know get ourselves involved with thousands, not hundreds, but thousands of rules and regulations.
- 40:24You got this religious institution, you got that one.
- 40:28You got this religious order, you got the other one.
- 40:30Oh, don't go there, they're crazy, don't go there, they're this, don't go there, they're that.
- 40:35I mean, on and on and on.
- 40:37All these different churches with all these doctrines, my goodness.
- 40:41And it gets worse.
- 40:43Oh, yeah, it gets worse.
- 40:44You know, having uh these religious institutions with doctrines that have a motive to get close to God, all right?
- 40:52They do, they have motives that, at least for the most part, I believe that they have motives to get the people to walk closer to God.
- 41:00So the motives are okay, all right?
- 41:02It's how they're getting there that's creating, I think, a lot of problems, a lot of division, a lot of confusion.
- 41:09And I've said over and over again, if the churches go back to talking about two topics, all right, two, only two.
- 41:16Talk about sin and talk about salvation.
- 41:19When you talk about sin, you're talking about the gateway to hell.
- 41:22When you're talking about salvation, you're talking about the gateway to heaven, which is Jesus Christ.
- 41:27Simple, right?
- 41:28There's a lot in the Bible.
- 41:30It could be a lifetime of stuff that they could preach about with regard to sin and salvation.
- 41:36But you don't hear much of that anymore.
- 41:38You hear a lot about obeying doctrines.
- 41:42You hear a lot about all kinds of uh stories that are are somewhat out of this world.
- 41:49And you want me to give you a couple of those stories, folks?
- 41:51How about this?
- 41:52How about uh uh, well, uh, Mr.
- 41:55and Mrs.
- 41:56John Doe were uh very, very, very uh uh financially strapped.
- 42:00Strapped.
- 42:00They came to my church and uh they gave us a seed of faith in the name of 500 and went home and there was a check in the mail for 5,000.
- 42:00They came to my church and uh they gave us a seed of faith in the name of 500 and went home and there was a check in the mail for 5,000.
- 42:10Yeah.
- 42:10Yeah, you've heard that, right?
- 42:11You've heard that, right?
- 42:12That's what's being preached.
- 42:12That's what's being preached.
- 42:13Well, I've got to tell you, those guys and those gals who are preaching that stuff, they got a lot to be held accountable for.
- 42:13Well, I've got to tell you, those guys and those gals who are preaching that stuff, they got a lot to be held accountable for, right?
- 42:19Right?
- 42:20Then you've got the others who will have uh Broadway shows in their churches, right?
- 42:20Then you've got the others who will have uh Broadway shows in their churches, right?
- 42:26To do what?
- 42:26To do what?
- 42:27To collect money.
- 42:27To collect money.
- 42:28You'll have a lot of them go to these big old
- 42:28You'll have a lot of them go to these big auditoriums, Madison Square Garden and some of these stadiums.
- 42:33Man, they'll draw 10,000, 15,000 people in.
- 42:36And some of these guys who are supposed to be preaching the gospel, oh, they're preaching a gospel, all right.
- 42:41They're preaching their gospel, not the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 42:46But you see what's going on today, folks?
- 42:48These these what's going on is that they're not preaching that we become a friend of God's.
- 42:55They're just preaching that God is an acquaintance who we could just go to when we need something to use him, right?
- 43:04To be to use him as a crutch for goodness sakes.
- 43:07That's right.
- 43:08If you're a friend of God, if you're a friend of Jesus Christ, he's not a crutch, he's your friend.
- 43:13And you'll know how to speak with him.
- 43:15And you know how you want to speak with him?
- 43:17You speak with him the way you feel comfortable about.
- 43:20No formal written script, for goodness sakes.
- 43:22You think you're in a Hollywood show and have a script?
- 43:25Oh, this is what I gotta do.
- 43:26This is the words that I gotta use with regard to my discussions with Jesus.
- 43:32No.
- 43:33You want an example?
- 43:35I'll give you an example.
- 43:36The way I talk to you, the way I talk to God.
- 43:39The way I talk to you, I have my conversations and coffee with Jesus.
- 43:43I do.
- 43:44I just lay it out to him.
- 43:45Hey, look it.
- 43:46I got some problems, some challenges here.
- 43:49If we're friends, which I believe we are, I expect some help here.
- 43:53And you know what?
- 43:55The Bible says, go boldly before his throne.
- 43:58If you're a true friend, you're gonna lay it out to him.
- 44:00But keep in mind, he's also gonna lay it out to you.
- 44:04But as a friend, he's already prepared you.
- 44:07The Holy Spirit has already prepared you to take some of the heat, if you will, from him.
- 44:11Hey, look, I rather take heat from God than from the devil.
- 44:14Taking heat from the devil, you're gonna get burned up alive.
- 44:16I mean, yeah, you're you're gonna, you're gonna get destroyed.
- 44:19I mean that.
- 44:20The Bible says the wages of sin is death.
- 44:23Your sin will find you out.
- 44:24How about preaching that stuff, Mr.
- 44:26Preacher?
- 44:27How about preaching that stuff?
- 44:28Oh, I can't preach that.
- 44:30Why can't you?
- 44:30Oh, they'll leave the church fews.
- 44:32They won't come back to church next week.
- 44:34Well, good.
- 44:35Then send them off.
- 44:36Let them go do their thing.
- 44:37They'll come back.
- 44:38And if they don't come back, the Holy Spirit of God will lead people to your church because you are preaching truth.
- 44:44That's the way it is, folks.
- 44:46I want to go to a church where I'm gonna be told about Jesus Christ and how I could be friends with this guy.
- 44:53Why?
- 44:53Oh, you call him this guy?
- 44:55Yeah, call him this guy.
- 44:56What's wrong with that?
- 44:59Yes, I pay homage and reverence to him as a king.
- 45:03He's my buddy.
- 45:04He's my friend, and I gotta tell you.
- 45:06Up to recently, up to recently, I'm telling you, folks, he has answered just about every single prayer that I've prayed when I truly got close to him and getting closer to him every day.
- 45:18Now, some of those answers to my prayers, you know what, aren't what I expected?
- 45:24Like I expected, oh, I'm praying for A instead of B, right?
- 45:28Oh, I want A to come, A to come, A to come.
- 45:31But he sends B.
- 45:33And I'm thinking, hmm, what is this?
- 45:36And I find out later, B is better than A.
- 45:39In this case, right?
- 45:41He knows what's best.
- 45:42That's why it's thy will be done.
- 45:45All things work together, says the book of Romans 8 28.
- 45:49All things work together for those who love the Lord thy God according to his will.
- 45:54In other words, all things work together for the good for those, in my view, our true friend of Jesus Christ.
- 46:02Yep.
- 46:02Our true friend of Jesus Christ.
- 46:04And you will understand quickly why he doesn't give us exactly the things that we want the way we want it.
- 46:12Because no doubt my mind, most of the time it would hurt us.
- 46:16But he gives us a lot of what we want, but the way he delivers it, not the way we want it delivered.
- 46:25So again, being friends with God isn't about keeping a bunch of rules or getting through some sort of religious motions.
- 46:32We see a lot of that around the world.
- 46:34It's about a real personal relationship.
- 46:37Where he, this is where he delights in you.
- 46:41God, I'm sure at times God gets a kick out of me.
- 46:44And I'm sure he gets a kick out of a lot of people.
- 46:46He delights in me.
- 46:48Why?
- 46:48Because I joke around with him.
- 46:49I really do, folks.
- 46:50That's how personal I get with him.
- 46:53And I gotta tell you, he has a way of joking around with me.
- 46:57He communicates, folks, to all of us through his word.
- 47:00And I gotta tell you, there is a Holy Spirit that's dwells in all of us.
- 47:04I believe the Holy Spirit's a person.
- 47:06I believe in angels.
- 47:07I believe that certain things happened in our life.
- 47:10I sometimes think look up to the sky and say, Man, are you a funny guy?
- 47:15That's how personal you can get with God.
- 47:17He's not walking around with a hammer to hammer your head in over doing something wrong.
- 47:21You do something wrong, you say, hey, come over here.
- 47:23Let's have a talk.
- 47:24And when you're that personal with him, you will get the message.
- 47:29And you learn to delight in him.
- 47:31So he delights in you, and you get to delight in him.
- 47:34I get a kick out of God.
- 47:36I I gotta tell you, I'm involved, as you know, in a lot of stuff.
- 47:39Radio, TV, with the United States military, this and that.
- 47:43The best times of my life are sitting quietly at three in the morning with my German shepherd and with God.
- 47:50Now, don't say anything to my wife about that.
- 47:53You know, I mean, you know, I uh I don't want to get ripped off of that.
- 47:56Uh you know, my wife is in bed at three o'clock in the morning sleeping.
- 48:00And if she was up, believe me, she would be with me.
- 48:03Boy, did I just step into it.
- 48:05Ah, I'm only for I'm only joking, folks, all right?
- 48:08You know what I mean.
- 48:09So, so I'm with my dog, all right.
- 48:13I'm with my Bible.
- 48:15I'm talking to God, having a cup of coffee, and then when my wife gets up, she joins us at a reasonable hour, and you know, the three of us.
- 48:24We're talking to God.
- 48:25Well, I should say the two of us are talking to God, and of course the dog is staring at us, wondering who the heck we're talking to.
- 48:31But you see how personal things could get.
- 48:32You're gonna have fun, enjoy Christ, enjoy God, enjoy him.
- 48:37The Bible says he delights in you, and you could delight in him.
- 48:41That's how personal I am with him.
- 48:43That's why people ask me, how come you're so happy all the time?
- 48:45You're always, you know, uh you're you're just always bringing the glass of water half full.
- 48:51Because Jesus is not just half full, he is full of delight, full of hope, full of love.
- 49:00He's a great guy, for goodness sakes.
- 49:00He's a great guy, for goodness sakes.
- 49:02I mean that, folks.
- 49:02I mean that, folks.
- 49:04And he delights in you.
- 49:04And he delights in you.
- 49:07And we delight in him, don't we?
- 49:07And we delight in him, don't we?
- 49:11So uh, no more layers of rituals, just a genuine heartfelt friendship.
- 49:11So no more layers of rituals, just a genuine, heartfelt friendship.
- 49:17What do you think of that?
- 49:17What do you think of that?
- 49:18What do you think of that?
- 49:18What do you think of that?
- 49:20I gotta tell you, it's the way things were when he was around, the way he preached things, and today that's not happening.
- 49:20I gotta tell you, it's the way things were when he was around, the way he preached things, and today that's not happening.
- 49:26And that friendship between man and God, by the way, globally.
- 49:26And that friendship between man and God, by the way, globally, you know, that fell apart a long time ago.
- 49:34Because we didn't have to go through, you know, trying to explain to people how they could become friendly with God, friendly with Jesus Christ.
- 49:42Because it automatically happened until until sin entered the picture at a place called the Garden of Eden.
- 49:49And after a person named Eve, and may I add Adam, you know, he doesn't escape this either.
- 49:54Some people say Adam didn't do nothing.
- 49:56Another guy, all right?
- 49:57Another guy that uh didn't do what he was told, who Adam and Eve, they had an automatic friendship, I mean genuine friendship with God in the garden.
- 50:10Well, until they decided to uh, you know what, God uh we're gonna be busy with somebody else for a while, we'll see you later.
- 50:18And you know what they did?
- 50:19They befriended the devil.
- 50:21We all know the story, right?
- 50:22One moment, one moment in time, one bit of temptation, and they gave in to sin.
- 50:31And then that became an entryway into their lives and into the whole world that separated man from God.
- 50:41So sin became the roadblock to a friendship, I mean a real genuine friendship with God.
- 50:48But the loving God we have, the personal God we have, decided to do something about that and sent his son to this earth to die for your sin and my sin, so that we could now in this century delight in him and he delight in us, provided, provided we again accept the fact that he was crucified, died, and was buried, and forgave us for our sins by shedding his blood.
- 51:20The roadblock was removed, folks.
- 51:22It was removed by the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- 51:29So don't you think that's a true friend?
- 51:33Think about it.
- 51:34Would you go get crucified for somebody?
- 51:37Would you actually give up your life for somebody else?
- 51:41I'll tell you what, that's a tough question to answer.
- 51:44But I must tell you, at this point in time in my life, if I knew what was on the line, my I mean, my true, real uncompromising relationship with Jesus Christ, because I know I would be going to heaven.
- 51:59I don't think I would hesitate in saying, hey, look, you know what?
- 52:03Take it then.
- 52:04I'm not going to deny Christ.
- 52:06Just expedite myself to heaven.
- 52:08That's what I say now.
- 52:10I pray that day would never come, but I won't know.
- 52:12None of us will know until that day comes.
- 52:14But right now, my mindset as uh living as long as I could, serving Christ in the capacity and the assignment on earth he gave me, spreading the good news as part of that job, and then uh when my time's up, my time's up.
- 52:27And if I have to sacrifice my life, which I understood when I was a police officer, when I was in the military, then so be it.
- 52:35One way ticket to heaven.
- 52:37John 15, 13.
- 52:40Greater love has no man than this, but to lay down one's life for a friend.
- 52:47He did that.
- 52:48He did that.
- 52:48Are we willing to do that for him?
- 52:51Hmm.
- 52:52It's a tough question to answer.
- 52:54I get it.
- 52:55But it gives you a food for thought, doesn't it?
- 52:58Moving forward.
- 52:59Real friendship sticks with you through thick and through thin.
- 53:04Whether you're on a mountaintop of joy or down in a valley of despair, a true friend does not walk away.
- 53:11And I would venture to say that Jesus never walked away from me.
- 53:16I tell you what, folks, I've walked away from him a few times.
- 53:19Not in the past, uh, I'd say not in the past uh maybe 10 years.
- 53:25You know, I'd say maybe at times I walked away from him unintentionally, doing things that I shouldn't do and say, hmm, we all do that.
- 53:32But we're all sinners, and I say, forgive me.
- 53:34Forgive me, I blew it this time.
- 53:36But I'm talking about really walking away from him, disregarding his sovereignty and supporting uh evil things.
- 53:44You know, people do that, they're really walking away from God.
- 53:47But I can, you know, admit that at times I walked away from him, but I learned never ever to do that again.
- 53:55Proverbs 1824.
- 53:57A man that has friends must show himself friendly.
- 54:01And there is a friend, and listen to this, that sticks closer to you than a brother.
- 54:08And guess who that is?
- 54:10His name is Jesus Christ.
- 54:12There's a friend that sticketh closer to you than a brother.
- 54:18So how do you become his friend?
- 54:20How do you become God's real personal friend?
- 54:23Well, draw close to him.
- 54:25I really mean it, folks.
- 54:26James 4.8 says, draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
- 54:31Now, how do you draw near to him?
- 54:34Pray.
- 54:34But how do I pray?
- 54:36People ask.
- 54:36Talk to him like I am.
- 54:38This is a prayer.
- 54:38When I'm talking to God, I say, Lord, here's my needs.
- 54:42Here's my desires.
- 54:44This is what I'd like to do in life.
- 54:46Or I need help to pass that test.
- 54:49I need help through a medical issue, through a marital issue, and on and on and on.
- 54:53I need that help.
- 54:54And I'm coming to you in faith for your help.
- 54:57That's all you got to do.
- 54:58You don't have to go through a long sermon.
- 55:00That's all you got to do.
- 55:02Spend time in prayer, right?
- 55:04So remember, have those conversations with him and talk to him every day.
- 55:08I do.
- 55:09Let him know how you feel.
- 55:11You remember what the Bible says, ask, seek and knock.
- 55:13Take the word ask, take the word seek, take the word knock.
- 55:17Take the first letter in each of those words, A S K, ask, ask, ask.
- 55:24He's ready to answer.
- 55:26You receive not because you ask not.
- 55:30So get alone with him.
- 55:32And I'll tell you what.
- 55:34If you can, yeah, get on your knees.
- 55:36All right, if you're comfortable, nothing wrong with that.
- 55:38I recommend we do that often, okay?
- 55:41But it's not mandatory.
- 55:42A lot of times I'll sit in a chair.
- 55:44You know, sometimes I'll pray in my car to him.
- 55:47Talking to him.
- 55:49Because that's what a friend does.
- 55:50You don't go through this long ritual.
- 55:53You don't go through the long script.
- 55:55Yet talk to him.
- 55:56You have a conversation with him, for goodness sakes.
- 55:59He's listening, and he answers.
- 56:00And he answers.
- 56:02God is not just your father or creator or a savior.
- 56:02God is not just your father or creator or savior.
- 56:08He is your friend.
- 56:08He is your friend.
- 56:10And now it's up to us to be his friend.
- 56:10And now it's up to us to be his friend.
- 56:14John 15, 15.
- 56:14John 15 15, I have said these things to you, so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
- 56:16I have said these things to you, so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be full.
- 56:24What do you think of that?
- 56:24What do you think of that?
- 56:26A friend really brings you joy.
- 56:26A friend really brings you joy.
- 56:29Take care, my friend.
- 56:31God bless you.
- 56:33Remember, go to him, talk to him today.
- 56:37Today, not tomorrow, not next week.
- 56:39Today become his friend.
- 56:44He's waiting for you.
- 56:45God bless you all.
- 56:46Thank you for listening.
