- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he's a funny dude, Reggie Langhorn.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think I don't even want to say he's like Michael Irvin Light because he was playing ball before Michael Irvin was in the NFL.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: And he's just his own cap, but he's got a big personality.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: The Prueits were cool, got not a graph ball from those guys.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: What a time, what a time.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was a phenomenal event.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: So if you guys, first of all, if you joined us for the livestream on Saturday at Bullying With The Pros, thank you.

- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it was.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: incredible and I guess a big thing, I haven't even told these guys this yet.

- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: So go check it out.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's really cool.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: Really cool.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know, do you know if he still has that coffee?
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: I know they have the coffee mugs on there.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: I have to go look again.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll take a look.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: I just thought you might have might have saw that.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: gets to it.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: If you guys obviously saw the title of the show tonight, big news today.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: We got to talk about Brennan Source B.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: So this thing has been up down and all around.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: We were, you know, he's definitely not coming back to college and then it was, oh, he's got eligibility.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: He's going back to Texas Tech for 2026 and then all the other teams in the NCAA said, bull crap you are,
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: Source B, Texas Tech, mutually decided to part ways, and he is filing his paper work to go into the supplemental draft.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about the supplemental draft and some of these rumors and notes and things going on before we do guys make sure you go to join the dogs.com.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: Get into our dog pack community, hang out in the private discord channel with everybody over there.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: Awesome place to be.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: got a lot of stuff going on in there right now.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: The big thing is fantasy football registrations are going on.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: So if you want to play fantasy football with us this year, which I suggest it's a ton of fun.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to come into a league and try to take down me just in Kenny, last year didn't go so well for the dogs overall.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think Blake might have won one of his leagues.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: But the year before that, we were just.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: stacking body and those yeah and those legs so get into fantasy guys it's a ton of fun and if you if you've been considering joining the dog pack or you thought about it but just weren't sure if you were just do it just jumping there in five bucks a month hang out and see if you like it and if you don't no harm no foul no one will hold against you if you don't stick around but I have a feeling you guys will like it so I's joined the dogs dot com okay so Brennan source me I'll kick it over to Justin first and
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: And what are your initial thoughts?
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: Because obviously the big topic conversation is should the Brown's bid on him.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: We can talk about supplemental draft here and then it just to clarify some stuff.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_02]: But what do you think, man?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: Because it worth it.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'll tell you, it makes me very nervous, very, very, very nervous.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_03]: Athletically, but kids, he's got traits.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 4:40[SPEAKER_03]: The dude is, he's got a big arm, he's explosive in space as far as a rusher.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_03]: He has attributes, you know, can translate.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_03]: My problem is I just feel like we don't need that kind of attention, coming to Cleveland, Ohio.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_03]: Just me personally, fan, fan, you know,
- 4:58[SPEAKER_03]: from the heart, we have a lot going on already as far as news and speculation and just drama.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_03]: The last thing I really need is a guy that spent almost $100,000 on bets betting on, and I know he'd bet on his own team and he wasn't playing, but just the whole thing is just bad news to me.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_03]: I know people can make the argument, hey, you know,
- 5:23[SPEAKER_03]: We've supported Watson, you know, and obviously those allegations were much worse, and you know, what this kid is, you know, being accused of, but it scares the crap out of me.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_03]: I think back to last year with the Guardians, with Klausay, and just with all what ifs, you know, that's an organization that like, they get it, they do it, they do well, and to have that kind of cloud over them.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and then you speculate, you know, that Yankee series, what happened there?
- 5:51[SPEAKER_03]: We thought we were going to the world series and all of a sudden, we're, you know, our all-star is throwing, you know, right down the middle of strikes and they're leaving the park.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_03]: The whole thing just makes me very, very nervous.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_03]: And then at the same time, I'm like,
- 6:04[SPEAKER_03]: we already were in the situation before.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_03]: We did this last year.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: Who's taking these reps?
- 6:10[SPEAKER_03]: We're already talking about it right now.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_03]: Who's taking the reps?
- 6:14[SPEAKER_03]: Do we really need to add another guy where then we're even more unsure of what we have at quarterback?
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: Can we at least, it would make sense to me if they even like the green?
- 6:26[SPEAKER_03]: they were like, hey, we're going to make him a wide receiver or, you know, whatever.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_03]: That makes sense to me, okay, move Gabriel or do whatever you have to do, but just we don't need four or five quarterbacks.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_03]: And for people that say, you know, the his stats were nice last few years, you know, like his last year and like, yeah, okay, go look at Shouldors numbers and the same conference.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_03]: and it's outrageous how big of a diff do you have the numbers his career wise and just that last season i mean even the game where they went heads up i thought he diced him up bro so i got the numbers okay cool i want to say it was something crazy like 14,000 yards career wise to 7,000 and then touchdowns and stuff like that i don't
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have the career, but I do have just their final collegiate season, so the last year that should have played at your all-around on 2024, Brendan Sorsby last year since in that year, in 2025, should door Sanders completed more passes than Brendan Sorsby attempted.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, first of all.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: As far as experience goes, and the amount of reps actually in the game should or Sanders was 353 out of 477 damn near through the ball 500 times for a 74% completion rate.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: So you're talking about a kid that had no offensive line, no run game completed a 74% of his passes compared to Soursby's 61.6.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: That's not very far out of the 50s at 61.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_02]: Anything around that, in the 50 range, low 60s is a little bit concerning coming from college and NFL.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: We've seen that.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: Their final seasons, 4,134 yards for Shador, 2800 for Soresby, 37 touchdowns, to 10 picks for Shador, 27 touchdowns to 5 picks for Brendan Soresby, Soresby has them in the rushing.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: He had 580 rushing yards, 9 touchdowns, Shador got sacked a lot.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's not a...
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a secret.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: Negative 50 total yards is final season.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: He had four rushing touchdowns, but as far as the passing goes, not even close.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess that's where, and I'll let Kenny all let you take it, but I guess that's just where I'm confused.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: What, where's, where's the debate at?
- 8:30[SPEAKER_03]: Especially when we're talking about giving up draft equity and a draft where everybody is saying,
- 8:36[SPEAKER_03]: there's talent everywhere.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_03]: So if we're really going to do this, we're talking about giving up a second.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_03]: I hope we don't give up one of our first, you know, for a project quarterback, though, where that has tons of clouds and and crap around him as far as this gambling thing goes, it's just, I, I, I am out.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_03]: I am out on it.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, I 100% agree with you, and I mean, I think you really hit everything that is pertinent to not wanting him, and I do not want to deal with this, especially you touched on the the Guardian's thing, and Gary Bush touched on it with the media and how they right
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: and Louise Ortiz gambling investigation left a huge stain on the guardians.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: But then we flip it six months because I'm paraphrasing him for the rest of this and then we're all okay with it because we're that starved for a quarterback.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's craziness, you know, I want nothing to do with this at all but the other thing that you pointed about on about is
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: specifically the quarterback situation we have right now.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: We've got too many guys and can't we want to throw five guys into a pot and see how it happens or throw them all against a wall and see what sticks.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just see what we have, you know, and I like what we have in Shidorah.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I've heard good things about Watson.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see Zach Jackson differs and there's some confusing things about him, but Taylor and Greens got some juice to him.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's just got to work on his mechanics, but I just don't want anything to do with a guy.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: that even though it's not drugs, it's not alcohol and that's even more of a known gambling is just such an oddity to me that you would want to do this when he hit it so like he knew what he was doing when he was doing this.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: You hit it on his brother-in-law's phone is that correct?
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, family members.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: He would place bets on his brother-in-law's account.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: He had friends that he would go into their accounts and use their accounts to place bets like
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody knows you can't do this.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_02]: He knew you can't do it.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like you cannot do this.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: It is then you can't do it.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know, absolutely.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: He was kicked out of school.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: If you do this, you cannot only sports and he found ways to do it.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and he bet on a team that he was on, you know, like Pete Rose that banned forever for that stuff.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: And so I don't know why this kid is getting
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: The golden treatment is because this Texas Texas tech wants them that bad.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think you're probably explained a little bit and I do have a question about it because generally you have to petition the NFL to get this supplemental nomination to going right what you have to it completely exhaust.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: the eligibility, which he really hasn't done yet.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: He got an injunction to play.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: The injunction still there, but they decided to part ways.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's, if the injunction still there, is the injunction really just for the state of Texas, so he can't play anywhere else and nobody will take him, because that's the one thing that hasn't been explained to me yet, and I don't get.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_03]: Now, this is just me speculating, right?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_03]: I think this is really bad for college football.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_03]: Like, this is a major, major black eye for college football.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_03]: And the fact that Texas Tech was ready to ruin their reputation, and go down, you know, with the ship with him, is crazy to me.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to turn the show into something that it's not.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't know if you guys have ever seen anybody that's been addicted to drugs or alcohol.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_03]: Addiction is no joke.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_03]: Just because you go to a treatment program, you know, it doesn't mean that you're not going to do it again.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's just a normal thing.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, anybody that's seen that in life, in general, it's a vicious circle.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I know it's not drugs, but I'm saying,
- 12:41[SPEAKER_03]: is very naive.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: I was very naive on their part to say, yeah, he threw it is cured, you know, which I'm kind of understanding why the judge gave this in juncture.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: Now, he also, the judge did say that he would sustain significant injury if he did.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: The injury was specifically financially, you know, and that's why an I.O.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I mean, again, like, he, if he relapses in the NFL, he will sustain that injury anyways.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: So it's often posed.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: So the judge is a Texas tech fan.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't know.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, well, I, I know there's a lot of speculation about them judge shopping.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't gone down that path.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: I can't speak to him.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I won't let him fall in the chat.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: And what?
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: But what you guys are talking about?
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: Rich reloaded in the chat actually said this.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: He said one click away from a permanent band That's what he takes and yeah So so for me, I'm kind of going through this today and thinking okay, so whatever team so say it's the Browns We we invest a A draft pick whether it's a second a third or whatever you cannot do a first for this guy, but whatever You invest a pick he comes here.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna be suspended
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: I, you have to imagine the NFL is going to suspend him to start his career.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: So, and I think, can he even alluded to it?
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's not even approved to enter the supplemental draft yet.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: He has to get the NFL has to approve him.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I think they will.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're going to do an investigation, everything, and all that, but you've had other guys get caught doing the betting thing in the NFL.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: They've been spending for like a full season and things like that, but not band yet because there was no repeat offenses side.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_02]: The thing is you're getting a guy, like you guys said, who's admitted at it.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: has been doing this in high school with this gambling addiction.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's gotten worse and worse and worse to the point where we're at right now.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's 100 plus $1,000, this is insane.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's crazy, yeah, exactly.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: So I think the risk is too much.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_02]: I saw all I figured it was, put the tweet out earlier, said, first round talent, second round tape, third round risk assessment.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably the best analysis you're gonna see for Brendan Soros being
- 14:58[SPEAKER_03]: fair.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's completely fair.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_03]: Just considering all the things that we've already seen, like this team struggle with, we were joking before we went on, we've only had like 14 quarterbacks in the last three years, you know, like we just, it's a constant thing.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that there is something to that where we just bail on guys before we even give them a chance, like I'm just, I don't even wrong.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_03]: Some guys they didn't have it.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't straight up.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_03]: You, we, Cody cast Dylan Gabriel.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_03]: Telling Gabriel, you can go, hey, you know, I just, I don't think that that's how that's going to translate.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_03]: But to just throw more at it, like Kenny said, I just, I don't understand it.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_03]: I just, it just, it muddies it up and figure out, figure out if you even like a guy here, you know what I mean?
- 15:42[SPEAKER_03]: Like, and it'll say a lot too when they do, if he does a pro day and everything, it'll say a lot.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_03]: If they're there, there's interest, you know.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_03]: If they go and see him work out and everything like that,
- 15:52[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's where it gets interesting, but other teams are going to be on the mix too.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_03]: We've got to kind of hope that the jets like decide to burn one of their first round picks.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_03]: They got three.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, there's, I have seen people talk about, you know, the Browns drafted Joe Royer, the tight end out since, and now he obviously, when they were doing their research on him and watching tape and scouting, they were also scouting Brennan source because he was the quarterback throwing to Joe Royer.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: So there is familiarity there.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, man, we go back at the golf outing on June 1st.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_02]: Todd Munkin was asked about it then.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: And he said, slippery slope, don't think we need it.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_02]: He said, I like the quarterbacks we have.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_02]: Basically, shut the door on it.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't want anything to do with Brennan Sores to be.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_02]: But he did also say, during that quote, now that's my opinion, not Andrew Barry.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'm not speaking for Andrew Barry.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_02]: And then when Andrew Barry was asked about it, he gave a more diplomatic answer.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like he always does, of course.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: But he did say, you know, I believe in life.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, people deserve second chances and you can't argue that Andrew Barry is not the GM of second chances with these guys.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_02]: He has brought in a lot of players that have had prior incidents and off-field stuff and character concerns.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_02]: And I would say the majority of them have not worked out in our favor, but there's a couple bright spots in there like cream hunt, you know, like I felt like
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: had a great bounce back, but he didn't bring cream on in.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_02]: That was that's very well.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's true.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: True.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: Good point.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: Good point.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, the actual second chance, because I kind of added that in my list today too, it was cream pump.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, yeah, recign.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like he didn't.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: But like I say a bond last year.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think as an example of a great example.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he had the allegations and everything again.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing was ever proven all that.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: Everything was let go.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: This one's just more because this one is like he admitted to this.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: He went to rehab for this.

- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: to messy for me is just absolutely too messy for me and as a buddy in the chat like tell me has anybody done film worker watch tape on Brennan source me I admit I have not I have not studied him I don't really look at quarterback prospects until they're in the upcoming draft class like I got to get through the season because I focus so much on the Browns but
- 19:52[SPEAKER_03]: I've watched some explosive explosive runner like p that is like the arpeo part of that he could be electric in that aspect but like for me like he has a huge arm but then like you look at his pros and cons and stuff like that and it's a lot of hey you put pressure on him
- 20:12[SPEAKER_03]: not great, you know, not great.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_03]: Completion percentage goes down, you know, and so I just with a team that we're not sure what 100% we have with our offensive line.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_03]: We think it'll be better, but obviously, I think we all have concerns, you know, we've all been bangin' the table for about two, three months now, going, how's the chemistry gonna look with this line, you know?
- 20:33[SPEAKER_03]: Who's even playing where, you know?
- 20:37[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I just,
- 20:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's very risky and I don't think he sees the field even if we let's say you throw it in.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it's realistic to see him on the field for two years.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: I just sat out, you know what, I think if someone gets or is me, my, my prerogative, and I listen to them on some shows today, and they're like, oh, the Browns are number one, because they're taking a look at our quarterback situation.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: And sorry if I replicate this, I just had double voices in my head for the last five minutes.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I could understand what you guys were saying.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: But it's gone now.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: And, but, can you hear the equals talking about you being significantly older than us?
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know if I got that dressing on Saturday.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like, glad I didn't.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's a stray.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's a stray.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's a stray.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'll get old Blake, roast him, you man.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: But anyways, yeah, what I was going to say though is like, you know, you get the typical teams like us, the jets, the cardinals, like everyone's like, who's going to throw a second down on it?
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's like kind of like, hey, let's talk about this and get it all hyped up.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: The way I see it.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: is this guy's got a year to f up.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: If someone's going to take him, it's got to be Dallas who's going to like mold them.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: So they can see him go through the whole year and maybe waste a fifth on it, right?
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: You get a guy, you get maybe even the Eagles, you know, or somebody that does this all the time and always works out for him, you know, our neighbors down to the South there, the Ravens, or I guess the more like to the East, Southeast, or what
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: somebody like that may take a flyer on them.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: If you're a team that needs a quarter back, and you're kind of like slated not to be good, why bother?
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: Why take the chance?
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: Unless you're putting a six that are fifth down.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: But like for somebody, like the Cleveland area, like we're saying, the whole
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: B.S.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: with the Guardians.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: Why subject those fans to that?
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: Because sometimes guess what baseball fans are football fans, you know, Cleveland fans are Cleveland fans, so just don't do it.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's no point.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_02]: And the note I had here, because I was reading the tweets earlier, his lawyer, like I said, already working with the NFL to make sure that one, he's even a
- 22:57[SPEAKER_02]: if he does go through and get into the draft and get drafted.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: So like they're already preparing for this suspension coming.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the last time the Browns made a move for a quarterback that they knew was going to be suspended.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't work out so well.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_02]: And he had already proven on the field that he could play.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_02]: Or at least we thought.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_03]: What do you guys think on suspension?
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: Like because I think a jamo, you know, and Detroit when he got caught.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_03]: And I believe it was six games.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and for that suspension really was a year wasn't it.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_03]: Calvin Ridley was a whole year.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_03]: You're right.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_03]: So I mean, I don't think it's either the question to see him.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, he's going to sit for a year, but, you know, like your, your suspended, like your, you're not even,
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know man like he didn't do it in the NFL.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not sure like I know he bet it on he bet on games that he was in But I mean he wasn't under the NFL's jurisdiction.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_02]: So it doesn't they consider they can Open their own investigation and suspend like they suspended to real prior I think it was five games or something whenever you know what mental draft
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: So I did want to know that.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: I could not find that information.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I take that back.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: So, and I was looking it up.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: I know we had mentioned earlier.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_02]: He does technically still have this eligibility or whatever from the injunction, but you don't necessarily have to have lost your eligibility to enter the supplemental draft.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: There have been other cases where guys still had a year of eligibility, but
- 24:29[SPEAKER_02]: do to whatever circumstances they applied for at, you know, the supplemental draft and were accepted.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: So this would fall under that category.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: Gotcha.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_02]: I guess we can just run through real quick what the supplemental draft even is.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: I know I've done this before on the show.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_02]: So if anybody hasn't heard before, just we'll just go through real quick.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: So like, like we're saying, if somebody loses eligibility or there's a special case, the NFL draft is already passed and then the situation comes up, then the NFL has this supplemental draft that a guy can apply for.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_02]: So teams are broken up into three tiers.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: You got tier one, tier two, tier three tier one are all the teams from the previous season that won fewer than seven games.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: tier 2 are all the teams that won more than 7 games but didn't make the playoffs and tier 3 are all the teams that made the playoffs and it's a blind bidding system so teams just they bid whatever round pick.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_02]: They want to make on that player, so they can say, we bit a third, we bit a fourth, we bit a second.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_02]: Say two teams, bit a second round pick, and that's the winning bid.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: Then it goes by the tier.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: So if a tier one team bit a second round pick and a tier two team, bit the second round pick, it goes to the tier one team.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: And if it was like two tier one teams had the same bid, then there's a weighted lottery order randomized order, kind of like the NBA draft, within each tier.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: So, you might have had the worst record last year, it doesn't mean you'll be at the top of the list.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_02]: You have a better chance of being at the top.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: but it's just the way it shakes out when they do their randomized order.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: So, it's kind of how it works.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: And then if you are awarded the bid, we bid a second, we got them.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_02]: That means you give up your second round pick in the upcoming draft, so 2027 draft.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: You have to have a pick in that round, obviously, to do it.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: So the Browns have two first round picks.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: I see people saying, well, can they bid the Rams picks and it's projected to be later?
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: If they bid a first round pick and they have two picks in the first round from what I've read,
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: It all, it, the NFL decides after the season and it's the higher of the two picks.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_02]: So they don't get to choose which first round pick is just by the end of the season, whichever one was higher, that's the one you lose.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_03]: Not worth no thanks.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_03]: I do, uh, I do think it's crazy though, the rounds have done this twice.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_03]: Do you guys know the two guys?
- 26:46[SPEAKER_03]: I know for sure two guys that have done this.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: Bernie Cozer.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: Bernie Cozer was one.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_03]: And the other was Josh Gordon.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_03]: Correct.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_03]: My friend.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_03]: Good job.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: You got one.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: We got one of the guys that did.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: We had to all prior for a bit too.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: We did not draft him.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: We did not draft him.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: True.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: True.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: It was the rate as.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and I posted this earlier too online.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: Remember how frustrating it was with Josh Gordon, because he would come out with the feeling to be like, oh, man, this guy's freaking awesome.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: Suspended.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, okay, just wait for him to come back.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: He gets back from suspension.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he's awesome.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: Suspended crazy.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, well, when can he be reinstated?
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: Not until next year.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, we got to wait.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: And this went over and over and over for like a decade, it felt like just nonstop, suspended, and also suspended.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: And the thing you have with Brennan Sorsby, like we've already mentioned,
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: If that happens one time, you're not sitting around waiting for him to come back.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: He's probably going to have a lifetime ban.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: Kicked out of the league.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know what, he's got the color's red and black for the Texas Red Raiders.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: He can come up here, play for the Ottawa Red Blacks.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: And then we don't have to worry about this anymore.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: So just come up here, buddy.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's very selfish if you can.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think you have a selfish move.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: Take a look.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm all ready if like, it happens to the Red Blacks don't bring it to my Browns, man.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we, you mentioned Bernie Cousar.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: So what's the other quarterback that we've had in Browns history, who came through the supplemental draft.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: Probably the greatest quarterback.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_02]: And anybody right now has ever seen, right?
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: And our lives.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: The most winning that I've seen for sure.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: I like he's a Cleveland legend.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: He sat down with us Saturday.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: And
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: unprompted.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: So just I know you had to miss the event because you were vacation, but I wish you could have been there.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: Man, it was awesome.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: I'm salty.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_02]: He sat down and of course we were planned to ask him like, hey, give us your take on this quarterback situations and you know, you were a quarterback just what do you think?
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: But we didn't get chance to ask him.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: He sat down and Blake's first question was, you excited for the season and Bernie said boom.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm excited.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait to watch Shador.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: And went into this whole speel about Shador Sanders and what he saw from him as a rookie and why, you know, with this new line and these new weapons and, you know, Bernie said, I don't want to get in trouble standing anything too negative about the team last year, but it wasn't good.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: The offense was not good and he came in and still made things happen and we're just like,
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, cool.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's how we've seen it.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: I know Justin you do too.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like yeah, he showed those flashes last year and to have one of the all-time great quarterbacks sit down and say exactly that too was like, okay, we got that confirmation Bernie sees it too.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, if Bernie's going to comment about something like, you know, Bernie wasn't the most athletic quarterback, I mean, if you've seen him run, he makes fun of his own running style, right, it's like he's in molasses just slow or like, you know, the roadrunner, but not running like that style, right, but I mean with him, he could pick a part of defense.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: And generally, if he's going to say a quarterback's good, it's not going to have to do much with athletic merit.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: What it's going to do is it's picking part of defense going to the right read, because he can still see that stuff.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: At some point, I will always thought he was going to be an offensive coordinator.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's not, but generally, when he likes a quarterback, is because of the intelligence and what they're doing with the football.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the throwing part of it.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: some.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, that gets that, you know, we've kind of exhausted the Brennan source.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_02]: We think none of us want anything to do with them.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's not worth the headache.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if guys in the chat, people in the chat, like, sell me on it.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: No, either, yeah, I don't think I don't think we're out, but it's not any questions about this whole situation.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: The Brennan source.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: We think the supplemental drafting.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't explain or talk about that you want to hear drop it in the chat.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_02]: As far as some things with like
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: I keep seeing, and there's so many people that just hate him because they just hate him.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: And that's never, ever.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: If that's how you're going to be, that's how you're going to be.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_02]: But people were saying, well, all he did last year was run back, where it didn't take sacks.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_02]: So I went and I looked, because I'm like, I don't really remember him doing that.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: I remember worrying about if that was going to come over from the college game.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: And it really didn't.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_02]: If you go back and you look, his Sacks per game, he took the fewest Sacks per game of all the rookie quarterbacks last year.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: So Jackson, Dart, Cam, War, Tyler, Chuck, they all took more Sacks per game than Shador did.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's because the only two games people remember is his final preseason game and the game that he played against the Ravens where he wasn't ready didn't take any snaps and we clearly look that way.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: Game if you know or Dan catches that pass in his own.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, fair point.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: He and the one thing he's not afraid to do is launch it down the field.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: He hits the flat well.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's just this year.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully with Casey conception, we get an intermediate game as well.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the whole thing that we need.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: It'll happen with Fanon.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: Fanon missed what the last two game.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he missed the last game, but the last the second last one he was like hobbled severely, right?
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: But the whole point is that we know he can pass long.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: We can hit the flats for the most part.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: Just got to open up that unlock that intermediate part.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: And that's hopefully what Monks is gonna do with a great run game and some better weapons.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_03]: My thing with it, too, is if you're not sure, just go watch the Tennessee game.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_03]: Go watch the Browns absolutely roll over and be down multiple touchdowns and sit back and enjoy it.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_03]: Because the kid leads the team back into the thing and has some absolutely dime throws in it.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_03]: Get some right there and then it's just bad coaching, bad management.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's what it all comes down to.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't be wrong.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_03]: I know that it got kind of ugly at the end.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, mistakes were made and stuff.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_03]: And but we've seen other quarterbacks do that.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_03]: And they've ended up being fine.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of people love to bring up Josh Allen.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_03]: His, the beginning of his career was, whoa, like bad, bad, bad, bad.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_03]: So the point where I dropped him in a dinosaur league, biggest regret of my life.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 32:59[SPEAKER_03]: Cause the guy came back the next year and was like a little better by a little better.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_03]: It was just not two years and then he was the dude.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for bringing that up.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: Cause I think a lot of people, we have such short memories as football fans.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm guilty of it too.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: Just as a general NFL, sometimes I'm not even reminded of those things.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: But Josh Allen sucked his friend season.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's what it is.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: He was terrible.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_02]: His competitors.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_02]: You remember a paid man?
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, man.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: He threw 19 interceptions.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: He was awful.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's, uh, uh, what's his name, but Farvin is first year, uh, first couple years.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: He was like 30 interceptions or 29 or 25, like, using interception can you just could match touchdown for touchdown.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the thing that should doer has that I think is, uh,
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's like his personal superpower is not giving a crap what anybody else thinks.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: Thank God, you, man.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_02]: Thank God, you know, whenever it was like draft prep before last year and everything and I was researching and learning about shit or especially after we drafted them, too.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, okay, is this guy kind of full of crap?
- 34:04[SPEAKER_02]: Or does he really believe all this, you know, the stuff that he says, he believes it, man.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he doesn't care what anybody else says, thinks anything about him.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: He believes in himself.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_02]: And that's always focused on, because when they ask him about the quarterback competition, he's like, I don't even look at like competition.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just trying to be better than I was yesterday, every day.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: He's only focused on himself.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's not focused on anybody else.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: Competing with anybody, it's how to I get better tomorrow.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: You know, a great athlete, a great player.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: But my must have learned that from Tom Brady, because Tom Brady is the same way, man.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: That guy was always competing against himself.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: In my opinion, you know, he was always looking for the better throw that coach didn't really need to tell him, even though Bella check would probably chew him out, because that's what Bella check did.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he always, always was competing, but it was against himself and making every facet in the game, whether it was one little slight turn of the hip, whether it was just tucking the ball in just a little bit closer to get it out, point second of faster on his throwing it.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I mean, that guy was, and he got coached up by Tom Brady Shidorr.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, this is probably where he learned it from.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: Does it mean it'll transpire into that?
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: level probably not, but I mean, it's always good to be around the greats to be better, you know?
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that that's what that kid exudes.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: I was so 92, three the fan did to Anthony Lima said one of the dumbest things.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: He said, um, you can't one of the one of the most disingenuous things you can do is give shit or any credit for those two wins at the end of the season.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: He said he didn't do anything to help with that those victories over Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like, okay, so when or quarter bat, when when's when loss record a quarterback stat and when isn't it, right?
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: Because if because I guarantee they're going to say they're going to chalk up the losses, including that Tennessee game, which, if you're going to pick and choose how we want to look at games, that should have been a win.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, or the Minnesota one where the defense just hit the bed.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there was a lot of those.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_03]: I felt like we were in a lot of games last year until we were.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_03]: And with bismal, a bismal performances on the offensive side of the ball with no skill players.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm actually, it's, I know we're a ways out, but the more that it gets said, but I'm, I'm blocking out all the quarterback crap for the most part.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm excited about everything that's coming out about the wide receivers and just how well things have gone.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_03]: Denzel Boston is just putting up highlights all over the place.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_03]: People are talking well about Casey conception on as far as what he's doing.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_03]: Chudkins looks great like on, but yeah.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how you don't get at least a little bit excited where last year we were willing to sit down every Sunday and watch a garbage product.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: And we even improved on garbage product and it looks like it's going to be super exciting and we're
- 37:05[SPEAKER_03]: We're we're complaining about quarterbacks.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_03]: We're I think that we just need to really just take a second to appreciate how if it does go right.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_03]: It could be excellent at all depends on quarter pack play.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_01]: Hey man, the best thing is there is a bit of a competition, but the main thing is we got young talent at receiver and as they went through OTAs through the mini camp, you could see them gain confidence and make awesome catches.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you want to see they should be developing.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: looks like they're taking the coaching very well and that's a whole point of that staff that we have and we got football players man they just want to win you got conception going up for passes bosses when catching it all over the park I mean I heard Dylan Samson looks good.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_01]: I heard a Monny Marshall looks good, you know how you can tell that really in shorts I mean again we'll see but again
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: just having those guys, especially the second year guys taking that next step up like bond, that's super important.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not like just the coach is telling this.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's different people around the end of around Cleveland that are beat reporters that all have, you know,
- 38:25[SPEAKER_03]: stockpiling young talent like really really loading up on young talent like we are we went from really really old to we're pretty stinking young and like obviously there's gonna come mistakes with that but that's a raw product.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like you have that many young guys but man
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: I do agree with a lot of the guys that are watching the beat reporters, just on small things like catching a out row or you're catching just a swing pass.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_01]: The guys look do look faster.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I believe there's some buy-in where they're like just more crisp in their practices.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: And that may be why they look faster.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: But you get a guy like bond.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_01]: He just looks fast.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: fast man like it's it that that's what's appealing to me even just I find Quenchon Junkins looks fast yeah maybe it's because I'm expecting the worst from the injury and that he's gonna be slowed by it but he looks explosive looks great you know and again it's I get it guys I get it it's short so only I know that but there's a Christmas about this team right now and it could be because of the buy-in and I'm liking what I see so far
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll give you guys a little preview here, you guys, and everybody else who's out here watching listening.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_02]: I did an interview.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: I did an episode earlier today with the Browns team chaplain, Noble's Darry.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_02]: So the guy who is in the facility at practice, in the room in the locker room with these guys every day, and I ask him about the team and the energy.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_02]: I said, what just talked to me, because it feels like there's more energy, and he said,
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: this this young group of men that they've brought in our hungry he said this it's a hungry group of guys and they want to be great and he said strong leaders great character people like
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: we have something really good building right now.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_02]: And, which is why I don't want Brennan source.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to bring it to you.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to bring it to you.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to bring it to you.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: But I was going to bring it.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, shit, I'm not talking about it anymore.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, that's the point too.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's like everything that you told me that you were drafting.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: In the last two years, you're just going to take a gas cannon and a magical bam, like, come on, you know?
- 40:41[SPEAKER_03]: Or, I'm like, what were we doing?
- 40:43[SPEAKER_03]: What was the philosophy?
- 40:44[SPEAKER_03]: What we've been saying that for two years, like, what was the plan?
- 40:48[SPEAKER_03]: What was the plan?
- 40:49[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if there ever was a plan other than Do it's to fanski's way.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're going to be better.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_03]: We'll be better next week.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_03]: I guess.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_03]: Look at the tape.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, when he's speaking of Stephanski, I'm glad you've mentioned that real quick.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: So the Falcons drafted Zachary branch.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: Why does he really Georgia?
- 41:08[SPEAKER_02]: I was super low on him.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_02]: coming into the draft process.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: Now, maybe he'll be good.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: Just his metrics and what he did in college or didn't do.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I don't think this is a guy.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be very productive.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: So the Falcons take him.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I was reading something the other day, some fantasy stuff, and they were doing like comps coming out of college in the NFL.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: Guess who Zachary branch was comp to?
- 41:31[SPEAKER_02]: Oh God.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: Jerry Judy.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: How about Anthony Schwartz?
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sitting there going.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: Because there's a difference between the way we're drafting right now.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: Then the way we drafted all those years when Kevin was here.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's fair.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_03]: That's.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_03]: Man, that's tough.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_03]: That's a tough comp.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_03]: To overwrite it.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: Let's give that.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_03]: Let's give that kid a chance first.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_03]: Before.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_03]: Cool.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_03]: We are fast.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_03]: You're athletic.

- 43:17[SPEAKER_03]: It's got a guy like you know what I mean?
- 43:19[SPEAKER_03]: I saw that in his role for a couple of
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we probably thought that about Schwartz too, right?
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's probably going to cut out to take a chance.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: Not to go back down a dark road of the past for the Browns, but I guess getting back to real quick another thing that Novel's told me today, I said, talk to me about a Todd Munken.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I said, because in the media, whenever he's talking, when you see clips of him at practice, he seems like he's a very,
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: No, no nonsense, no BS down to Earth type of coach and who, you know, chew out when you need it and he'll praise you when you deserve it and he said, I think he is the perfect coach for this young group of players, which is kind of what we said too on the podcast here.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: So that was cool to hear confirmed from a guy who's actually in the building.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, he's a funny guy like I got a chance to meet him just quickly at the groundbreaking ceremony Yeah, and I'm like, I'm like, hey man.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: My name's Kenny Mack.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: I came all the way from Canada.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: He goes Canada.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: There's holy crap.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: I can tell my wife.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_01]: I met somebody from another country Canada.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna tell her that today
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, can they had me chuckling, you know what I mean?
- 44:22[SPEAKER_01]: And he's just a funny guy.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: And he's got a direct response kind of for everything.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I think someone just mentioned it in the, the chat just now.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's just like a like a nicer version of Bill Purcells, you know?
- 44:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's just always got, he's got this quick sharp wit.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, Purcells was more like a,
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like a dictator and he wasn't as quite as nice as, I guess, marked in, but there is some similarities, you know, and it's either with that raspy voice and that kind of thing too.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: So, but yeah, he cool dude, cool dude.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_03]: I do think there's a pretty cool, like you kind of brought it up, Josh, but you're talking about a young hungry team, how about the coach that waited 30 years to be ahead coach?
- 45:06[SPEAKER_03]: You don't think he's hungry, you don't think he has a point to prove, you don't think that, you know, he thinks the right point, 2019, and then we finally are coming full circle here.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_03]: I think that he has, I love everything he says, and I think it's great, and I buy into it.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_03]: There's got to be results with it too.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we can't be gung-ho.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_03]: This is coach's amazing, and we haven't seen anything yet.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_03]: It is very early on, that's not being pessimistic.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just, you know, my wins and loss is talk, you know.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_03]: And if they give this guy a chance, I think he can get it together, but I agree.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I think one thing, I believe I said this maybe last week a little bit, but I think we all need to have some patience.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: When the season starts,
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: When I was looking at the roster, Zac Jackson put this in his RQI went and made sure I had the numbers right.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_02]: On the 90 man roster right now, there's only five guys who are 30 years older, and by the time the season rolls around and we have an active roster, the 53 man, over half of that roster will probably be players that have two or fewer years experience.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: going into the season.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: We need to just expect there's going to be some mistakes.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: So you're going to be in some procedural things.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_02]: There's going to be some off-size and some illegal formations, illegal motions.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: Guys looking a little confused.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: My big thing for that is how long does it take to fix it and correct?
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it does.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm completely okay with, you know, if we go off sides or we don't have it figured out.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_03]: But if I see it week to week five or six times a game, then I'm getting frustrated.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_03]: Then I'm wondering, why aren't we getting through what's happening here?
- 46:45[SPEAKER_03]: We just keep doing the same.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_03]: We start off first in 15 or first in 20 every freaking drive.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_03]: What are we doing every week?
- 46:51[SPEAKER_03]: If we're getting better, shouldn't we make it second and nine every once in a while?
- 46:55[SPEAKER_03]: Or nope, we'll just make it second and first in 20 every time.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, sounds great.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_03]: Sounds good.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_03]: All the way down.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_01]: Just to feel what we do.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's holding them accountable like he stops practices and he gets the guys to tell him what they did wrong And then they can go sit by themselves and not practice and you know that's a big thing I mean you hear out of training camp that they're teaching more and they're gonna have to because I mean It's a whole new coaching staff, but there is something that we said about teaching just kind of the basics and the
- 47:27[SPEAKER_01]: fundamentals you need, especially when you were saying like you're such a young team, you know, you can get kind of sloppy.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: So having a personal trainer, they got to tell you what to do sometimes, right?
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then you just adjust your form and you're lifting better, same thing by catching the ball and that kind of thing, right?
- 47:43[SPEAKER_01]: Clearly Casey conception has learned something because there's no balls being thrown, not too many are hitting the dirt around him.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now that being said,
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: towards his way versus his previous quarterback, but still I mean you're you're seeing guys that are Chris the balls going to them where they are and I know again, it's just shorts, but I think it's better than last year, man, I think that's a good point.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: because, you know, Justin, we always go to like training camp to stuff.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: We say this all the time.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: We would go to training camp under the Kevin teams and be like, what are they even doing out here?
- 48:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's just the kind of like, through the motions, you have flat, no energy, soft, like, and weak one.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_03]: We come out flat and soft and no energy.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's crazy.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_03]: What a freaking translation.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_02]: Into the center of the world.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_02]: see.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_03]: Practice, right?
- 48:35[SPEAKER_03]: I 100%.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_03]: And well, even like we've asked older guys, you know, the older players, like, hey, what's up?
- 48:40[SPEAKER_03]: We asked them multiple times last year.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_03]: Like, what's going on in our last couple of years?
- 48:43[SPEAKER_03]: Like, what's going on in white?
- 48:45[SPEAKER_03]: You know, don't we want to be participating in training camp?
- 48:48[SPEAKER_03]: Don't we want to be there and like, it's not be so lax and he's like, it's not like it used to be.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like it used to be so bad every day.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_03]: We, we, there was no, we're going to take a few days off.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like it was gritty and character was born out of it.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like baptism by fire, it's ideal.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I didn't go look at that, like generally Josh and I get together and we do want to episode about the OTAs and we have to explain OTAs and like, oh, there was no such thing as organized team activities, but these guys, they had two days, they had two days and they beat the crap out of each other.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: We got ready for the season.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they did, right?
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then when I'm describing these things, I'm like, man, this is so so
- 49:32[SPEAKER_01]: you know what I mean, but obviously they're saving a lot of energy, our energies, injuries and concussions, and that's the main reason why that's happening, but and like these the main thing is getting their timing down with the quarterbacks specifically, the receivers, and the defensivebacks get their timing down and get their,
- 49:52[SPEAKER_01]: they're togetherness, you know, and that's why it's happening, saving their bodies, but it is a lot softer, a lot softer, and I think they could kind of ramp it up a bit.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, right.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: Tool man, 2024 in the chat.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_02]: If everyone wakes up at the end of the season, a surprise playoff run is very possible.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think the best thing we can do is Browns fans this year is not talk about playoffs.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: We can have some hope, like, hey, maybe things will go our way, but don't expect it.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_02]: Don't expect it.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: If that sort of thing happens toward the end of the season, let it be a pleasant surprise, I wanna focus this year on, how is this young group of players come in together, this new core that we've built and that we are building?
- 50:35[SPEAKER_02]: And how are they developing from one week to the next?
- 50:38[SPEAKER_02]: Are they improving or are they getting better?
- 50:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think that this year's going to have a lot of fun moments.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: whether the writers are our favorite or not at the end, I think we're going to look back on this season and say it was at least fun.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_02]: It was watchable.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: There were games and moments that we remember like, wow, that was so awesome to see.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: You know, whatever it is, offense defense special teams could be better this year.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully, can't get a whole lot worse.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, even when Rama, yeah, even when Monkton was here like that that six and 10 Friday Kitchens team there were some fun times of that yeah, I mean the head you had Nick Chubb go off against the ravens You know, we had a 2002 1000 yard receivers is what I'm trying to say was that the Dallas game when we went down there That was with that that was Jarvis and OVJ
- 51:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it was with no Freddy kitchen.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_01]: So no, that's it.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was 20.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: But we had some like, you know, we had some good games, with some games that, you know, where we've made some mistakes, but like with Mountain as the offensive coordinator, anywhere he's been, he's put points up.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's put points up.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: So he'll figure it out.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: And for him to come in here and say something along the lines of like,
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: I take advantage of people's best traits, it looks like he has, and I think that'll translate into what he has right now.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree with you on that big time.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think the way they're exploiting guys, strengths and minimizing their weaknesses has been very good.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to scroll back up here.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_02]: Joe America, one of our dog-packed guys here.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_02]: Dynasty dogs, too.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_02]: He plays in some leads with us.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: This was from early, but he says, I agree giving up early round picks while the law for Brennan source be as not the answer.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: But they said, what do we do about our current situation with Deshawn Watson, Shador Sanders, isn't Sanders the future?
- 52:31[SPEAKER_02]: And I just wanted to go back as we're kind of getting close to the end of the show here and just bring it back to Shador for just a second.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if he's the future.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_02]: But I know Deshawn is not.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_02]: And people can argue that, maybe if he plays well, there's an extension guy, that I see zero percent chance in that.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_02]: Does the team really going to bring this guy back?
- 52:53[SPEAKER_02]: Even as a backup with this young core and the dark cloud that he has been since he's been here.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_02]: Does he even want to be here?
- 53:00[SPEAKER_02]: Would he even sign an extension?
- 53:02[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_02]: I doubt it.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know depending on the show that he listened to.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_01]: I hear that he looks okay in camp.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_01]: I hear that he wants to be here.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: He would sign another deal.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, of course he would.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: We
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: Why would you, you've been the most hated person in Cleveland for five years, you haven't played like I just don't get it.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_01]: Now I do get that he shows up to practice.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_01]: He tries really hard.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not dogging him on that, but just it seems like the ship has sailed, you know, get get shit or out there see what he has.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I don't know if he's going to be the quarterback of the future either.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_01]: What I do know is if I put my executive hat on, he's a guy that's making a minimum amount of money that we can invest way around this team.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_01]: If he does work out and I would rather the odds on that, and that's what I would, that's what I think the Brown should do right now.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_03]: I agree.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think, and I've been pretty steadfast on this for a while.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that there's a future with Watson.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_03]: I don't, it doesn't make sense to me.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that...
- 54:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'll say it.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't think he has anything in the tank.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_03]: He looked like he was washed before the injuries and these are big time injuries and he had two of them to the same Achilles.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_03]: My thing is all I've heard is in shorts.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_03]: They look close and should or is right there with him.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_03]: If we're talking about that, yeah.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_03]: What are we talking about?
- 54:23[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 54:24[SPEAKER_03]: Like, are we thinking that the second year guy won't get better with a better system?
- 54:30[SPEAKER_03]: I would think a better system better, you know, assets around him, or Watson, who is on and to basically an expiring contract, we all can't wait for, you know, next year basically so we can have a fresh slate at things.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_03]: to me it's just no brainer it just doesn't make any sense on what other than if you want to talk about a mentor role okay but i think i think pay to say but i don't think Watson has a career after Cleveland i just don't know if anybody's willing to risk all that and take on the drama and take on the crap that comes with having to shine Watson your team
- 55:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I mean, like it's be unprecedented for someone to be like on and off in five years, 19 games only and come back and have like in all proceeds and like there's guys like Kurt Warner who had kind of
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: Toiled in New York and then came back with the Cardinals and there's, you know, Randall Cunningham had a year off making marble tables and then comes back for the fight kings.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_01]: He thought I mean, and has a stellar season they go 15-1 Michael Junk had, Ed, his problems with the dog bringing and everything like that.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, there's only one-off years, not five, you know.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_03]: and all the injury is just one thing after another there was once a suspension over then it was rust well then once you know we thought the rest was figured out well then the shoulder doesn't work anymore it's broken his shit okay cool so we're off for the rest of the year I'm you know what I mean like I'm just relating as a brownspan so okay we win a big game guys shoulders cooked whatever next year oh we suck he tears his Achilles all right well
- 56:15[SPEAKER_01]: It was also that they could, they could never find a coordinate or that could match his talents.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_01]: But now Moncton is the magical man that could be the next thing to Bill O'Brien for him.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_01]: So then I hear Bill O'Brien all he did was talk of the set.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_01]: This is your read.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_01]: Go to that read.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_01]: If it's not there.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they're doing.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know what I mean?
- 56:34[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I see a lot of people that want to, you know, try to throw the shade it should do about.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: The mini-camped stuff.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_02]: Number one, guys, we all got to realize OTs and mini-camped special for the Brownsyshire was completely installation.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's trying to learn this new offense.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_02]: This is not fine-tuning.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_02]: This is not like the actual live bullets flying out there.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_02]: They're learning.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_02]: They're trying to get all the information and figure out how this offense actually runs.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's number one.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_02]: Number two, a lot of people want to say, well, if the door can't beat up to Sean Watson, he must not be that good.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_02]: Well, hang on, but then we'll also say to Sean Watson, always looks good in camp, right?
- 57:13[SPEAKER_02]: He always looks good in shorts.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_02]: Always.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_02]: So if you think about Sean Watson's tenure vet, he knows how to practice.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he can go out there and look good in practice.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_02]: He knows how to do this.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_02]: Shedor's already making it so muckin' isn't sure who to even pick right now because they both look about the same.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_03]: We're talking about the second year guy right with the any experience from last year talking about the guy that through the trash cans last year Yes, and camp.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're talking about that guy and I would hope that you know this year with real reps and experience and you know We're actually Working on things.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's not hey throw to the trash cans and the ball the ball guys over there We'll we'll figure out what we would do with you when we trade Kenny pick it away and Gabriel can't play anymore
- 57:56[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, man.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_01]: And just do you give me like flashbacks to another year, a five quarterbacks in camp and divvying up things if source becomes, oh my god, I don't know nothing to do with that, man.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_01]: Get out of here.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like cut the quarterback room, give somebody some reps, and that'll let's be done with it, you know?
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: I, there's somebody in the chat too.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I mean, I get you watched Shidorr in high school and college, bro, there was literally,
- 58:22[SPEAKER_01]: tons of guys that play great high school ball and great college ball and they didn't amount to anything man But I right now I'm saying I want you to or and I hope it should or but then the high school in the College doesn't mean anything take a look at the TD leaders in in college ball all of them didn't amount to nothing one of them is on our team right now is Gabriel you know what I mean and the other guy was
- 58:51[SPEAKER_01]: so I get that he had a great college career.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: He was awesome for the Buffalo's for the Buffalo's and but their high school and their college doesn't matter.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's what you have in the pros so far like you said.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_01]: Throwing to
- 59:08[SPEAKER_01]: trash cans and what he's accomplished as a pro-waller in the NFL looks like he can take the next step.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I mean to be fair, through into trash cans, did prepare him for what he was going to be throwing to when he got to start.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_02]: I had to say it.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_02]: I had to say it.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_02]: I had to come on.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_02]: We're all thinking that right.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, straight.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_02]: But no, I mean, if you want to be honest about it, I mean, you're talking about a wide receiver core that was a lot of UDFA's.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_02]: pretty much that that's an offensive line that's UDFA guys practice squad guys.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_02]: It was rough.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_02]: It was really a rough situation last year and to be able to see those flashes we won more games within them we did with the other two quarterbacks combined.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_02]: It just, it gives everybody a little bit of encouragement for the future here, and at least this year, it's two guys.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_02]: We're not competing, we're not splitting reps for different ways and trying to figure all this crap out.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's two guys, everybody else is just the camp arms.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they always have four quarterbacks in camp, because you have to, you gotta run practice.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_02]: You gotta, you're practice squad.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_02]: There's 90 guys there, there's 90 man roster.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: You gotta have enough, you don't want two quarterbacks throwing all the reps because then they're gonna blow their arms out.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, hey, man, she dorted more with less, you know, I don't know what Anthony Leamon was talking about.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he didn't have fan in the last game.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, any receivers is his offensive lines.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_01]: Stunk, you know, we did have chief last year for what seven games, you know, that.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_01]: It was real, but we don't have quench on junkins.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_01]: Some people blame that.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_01]: His injury on Shidorah, you know, he still did more with less.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think the defense sure, they had a great part in the last three games and keep in the Buffalo game close and winning, but he did enough not to lose the game.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_02]: Agreed, so.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just, with the young roster.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_02]: I, the, the season could go either.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, as far as record goes, it could be, it could be a surprisingly good could be kind of middle range.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_02]: It could be really bad.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_02]: Just depends on how the mistakes get ironed out of things bounce our way if they don't injuries injuries, our team injuries.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's about housing.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_01]: how this line gels you know he's not too many people like just blow up the all five you know what I mean I don't think Kevin Jenkins is starting I don't think so yeah that that fifth starting offensive line spots gonna be a thing to watch too for camp but I did want to or tell you guys
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_02]: Nobles the team chaplain today did tell me like he said Jared verse is the real deal Yeah, he said he has come in and he has immediately a locker room leader like a good dude I said okay, that's I love hearing that man.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_01]: I've heard three interviews and I sit up in my chair when he talks that guy is so intense man Yeah, he's like
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_01]: This is the way I do it, I do yoga, I keep fit, I'm gonna be a team leader and like he's just, he knows what he's gonna say and he knows what his purpose is.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: When you have a guy like that, that is meant, that's, he is basically the Browns, didn't sell off Miles Garrett and have a huge hole.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_01]: They put a guy in there that's a leader, so they lose leadership and they got a guy that can play.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_01]: if he struggles a little bit coming from linebacker to dnd on on the ground with his hand on the ground that may be a thing but like like he said the month of a September don't expect miracles in the wind loss column because these guys got to get playing for real but they should be fully formed by game four and then we'll see what we have.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_02]: Is there anything else you guys wanted to
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_01]: hit on before we wrap it up and say hey Joel love watching you play a brother and got your your number on right now congrats on the retirement got speed yeah absolutely good career you guess think he's gonna be a whole family I don't really guard my guards it's tough
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because taking a look at the guards that are in there like Aron fanica and some of the guys they've got like at least six all pros There's not too many guys that have five and those are sorry I'm talking about Aron fanica.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_01]: He had all first team all pros.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's got two and then he's got three All the second string all pros, so our second team thinks and I just don't think
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's just enough to get him in.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_01]: I need to, he needs at least five first.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_01]: First, I would say.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be interesting to see either way.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like you said, Justin, hell of a career.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_03]: Hell of a career.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_03]: Great.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_03]: I mean.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_03]: I agree.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_03]: The last, however, however, how long is it?
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_03]: Well, years.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_03]: And the, man, 12 rough years for the most part.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, is it, dude?
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_01]: His career started off with Ruby with Johnny Manzell, man.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_01]: So he learned what not to do.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_02]: That quote was whole, dude.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_02]: He was roasting some guys.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_02]: That was pretty good.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that was pretty good.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm retired.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_02]: But all right.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think that's going to do it here for the night.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate everybody jumping in the chat here and hanging out tuning into the show.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_02]: I know we're in the summer break now.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll side of the Brennan Sours beast stuff.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_02]: There's not going to be a whole lot of topic of discussion.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_02]: Probably obviously we're going to still debate quarterbacks and all this stuff.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the Browns are all gone.
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's on summer break until training camp.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll be on vacation next week.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_02]: So we won't be doing like a live show.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_02]: Kenny's got a couple episodes that he's going to have prepared and ready to go for you guys next week.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_02]: And I actually have the jersey dogs.
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_02]: If you guys caught that voice mail.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_02]: a couple weeks ago, Kurt from Jersey said, Hey, I want to get together with Justin from Jersey, Jersey Justin and there are two of our dog pack members and do like a Jersey dog fan show episode of the he was just joking about.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_02]: I said do it.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this is what I love it.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they did one.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_02]: Hell yeah, one.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_02]: They recorded one and it wasn't bad.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_02]: I was like,
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_02]: But I thought you enjoyed listening to it, so I'm going to put that out that will come out next week while I'm gone and everybody can catch the first ever episode of the Jersey dogs the fan show.
