- 1:08Speaker 5: Yeah right, I mean that'd be great.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Pearl River Resort dot com.
- 1:15Speaker 5: I was up there yesterday for the big ribbon cutting
- 1:18Speaker 5: of the one hundred and fifty million dollar new school,
- 1:21Speaker 5: Chactaws Central. It is an unbelievable state of the art campus.
- 1:28Speaker 5: The classrooms look like my kids classrooms a Mississippi state.
- 1:34Speaker 5: They've got all the new it's got all the new
- 1:37Speaker 5: technology in it. It's InCred it's incredible. And then the uh,
- 1:43Speaker 5: their arena is beautiful and the uh the weight room
- 1:48Speaker 5: is kind of on the second level overlooking the arena,
- 1:51Speaker 5: which is really really nice. It's it's great, gonna be
- 1:54Speaker 5: a tremendous asset when you're when you're driving in from
- 1:59Speaker 5: cars Didge to Philadelphia or Jackson Carthage Piladelphia, whatever you
- 2:05Speaker 5: want to say. It's just right there when you kind
- 2:08Speaker 5: of right before you get to Dancing Rabbit.
- 2:10Speaker 4: It's on the right. You can't miss it.
- 2:11Speaker 5: They've been building it for you know, two years, so
- 2:14Speaker 5: it's I mean, it's a massive, matt big campus. Jackson
- 2:21Speaker 5: was just looking at me like where is it? And
- 2:23Speaker 5: he's been up to Pearl River Resort, So I don't
- 2:25Speaker 5: know how you would miss it because you come straight
- 2:27Speaker 5: up the hill, you're you're there. You can see the moon.
- 2:32Speaker 5: It's right on the right, and it's like that's the problem.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Fourteen buildings, you know, I see the moon and then
- 2:37Speaker 4: my eyes get you know.
- 2:38Speaker 5: They getting glazed over, excited and glazed. Are you do
- 2:42Speaker 5: you see money signs?
- 2:43Speaker 1: I mean that's all I do see.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Do you go Johnny Manziel? When I see how way
- 2:46Speaker 4: twenty five signs? I know I mean, all I'm seeing
- 2:48Speaker 4: is money.
- 2:49Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, well it's uh, it is a US.
- 2:54Speaker 5: It's state of the art, just absolutely totally state of
- 2:57Speaker 5: the art. It's beautiful, it's great, great ribbon cutting, and
- 3:03Speaker 5: all kinds of people spoke.
- 3:05Speaker 4: It was awesome.
- 3:06Speaker 5: The Chief was there, of course, and so it was
- 3:09Speaker 5: good to see everybody. I saw a lot of coaches
- 3:12Speaker 5: there too, not even uh not just Choctaw Central coaches.
- 3:16Speaker 4: So it was it was a who's who of dignitaries.
- 3:20Speaker 5: And Choctaw Central has a brand new state of the
- 3:25Speaker 5: art school, academics, athletics, trade it's really nice. So that
- 3:31Speaker 5: was fun. I don't think I have to go anywhere today. Actually,
- 3:36Speaker 5: I woke up this morning thinking that I had to
- 3:38Speaker 5: go to Old Waverley and then I was like, I
- 3:40Speaker 5: don't think it's today, So I'll figure that out later.
- 3:44Speaker 5: But a couple of different ways that you can get
- 3:46Speaker 5: in touch with us. The Dancing Rabbit Golf text line
- 3:50Speaker 5: six oh one eight eight five three, seven seven six.
- 3:56Speaker 6: It is not super hard to get to Omaha.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Okay, find us on X at bow Bounds. Now let's
- 4:03Speaker 5: give the text line one more time. Dancing Rabbit Golf
- 4:05Speaker 5: text line six oh one eight eight five three, seven,
- 4:09Speaker 5: seven six. Let's see who's with us the first five
- 4:12Speaker 5: minutes of the show. Out of bounds roll call, you
- 4:14Speaker 5: get VIP points. All right, let's go out of bounds nation.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Who's with us? Who is with us? Are you listening?
- 4:22Speaker 5: Give us a what's up? Or hey, or or whatnot?
- 4:25Speaker 4: I mean, I'd like to know how you're listening and
- 4:27Speaker 4: where you're listening from. But hey, anything would be good.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Six oh one eight eight, five, three, seven, seven six.
- 4:38Speaker 6: I would say getting to Omaha is its equivalent maybe
- 4:41Speaker 6: to a Sweet sixteen in basketball, maybe shotging by maybe
- 4:45Speaker 6: a round of thirty two.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Well, there you go, Old Miss fans.
- 4:48Speaker 5: It's kind of like going to the round of thirty
- 4:49Speaker 5: two in the NCAA basketball tournament. You can find us
- 4:52Speaker 5: on X at bow bounds in the ice cold Budweiser,
- 4:56Speaker 5: Budweiser and wings. That's a winning combo. The caller line
- 5:00Speaker 5: one seven zero seven thirty seven fifty. So we're off
- 5:07Speaker 5: and running. Jake Thompson will join us at eight thirty.
- 5:11Speaker 5: We'll get the latest Hunter Elliott's coming back for his
- 5:14Speaker 5: twelfth year at Ole Miss, which is a great deal
- 5:18Speaker 5: for Mike Bianco and Mangham, and I assume he's just
- 5:24Speaker 5: he's just not a pro. But he's a phenomenal college pitcher.
- 5:27Speaker 5: And that's me just guessing and speculating with him. With
- 5:33Speaker 5: him coming back for another year. He got I'm sure
- 5:36Speaker 5: a six figure deal, didn't have any leverage, you know,
- 5:39Speaker 5: with the draft or MLB at this point, I guess,
- 5:43Speaker 5: And and he'll be rolling with I mean, he gives
- 5:48Speaker 5: you a bona fide left handed arm. And I guess
- 5:55Speaker 5: he'll be the Friday Night Yuh. If not, he'll be Saturday.
- 6:02Speaker 5: But he's a guy that can. He's done it all.
- 6:05Speaker 5: I mean nothing, nothing's fased him. Christian says, uh oh,
- 6:10Speaker 5: we do have some people listening. Christian leaving Glugstat headed
- 6:14Speaker 5: to drop the little one off at daycare, listening on
- 6:17Speaker 5: the radio till work. Then I played the show off
- 6:20Speaker 5: the app once I'm in the office. All right, Pensacola,
- 6:27Speaker 5: I see.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Here we go. I think that's Charlie nighton.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Brad Martin's coming in strong from Madison County. And then
- 6:37Speaker 5: we got wardamn Eagle from war Eagle, Rich and what's
- 6:41Speaker 5: going on listening to y'all on the radio. That's a
- 6:44Speaker 5: six to oh one love it. They're coming in baby early.
- 6:48Speaker 5: Here's another one dropping off the five year old. He's
- 6:50Speaker 5: caught on to our morning drive entertainment.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Destined. I know exactly who Destin is.
- 6:57Speaker 5: He was in New Orleans last week and he was
- 6:59Speaker 5: he and his brother were tweeting to us all the
- 7:02Speaker 5: good food that they were having down there. Made me jealous.
- 7:06Speaker 5: Made me think of a Chapelayah and Greegree and Pallador
- 7:09Speaker 5: five eleven and all the amazing places and then the
- 7:13Speaker 5: little the little die bars and really cool hotel lobbies
- 7:20Speaker 5: that you want to get a cocktail in as you're
- 7:22Speaker 5: doing a little day drinking and bouncing around Nola.
- 7:26Speaker 4: I love Nola year round.
- 7:28Speaker 5: You got to stay in the air conditioning a little
- 7:30Speaker 5: bit more when you go down this time of year,
- 7:32Speaker 5: because that place is a sauna the way it's as
- 7:35Speaker 5: everybody knows, the way it's built. But man, October through yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 5: October through May, goodness, gracious, doesn't get better. And then
- 7:46Speaker 5: the winter time it's just a ton of fun, isn't it,
- 7:49Speaker 5: with all the lights going up Saint Charles and walking
- 7:52Speaker 5: in the Roosevelt And then I mean, then you go
- 7:57Speaker 5: to the other side and it's they love to party
- 8:01Speaker 5: and do the lights too, so it gets very festive
- 8:04Speaker 5: down there. Hell, old mis fans got to go down
- 8:06Speaker 5: there and and well that was right after the holidays,
- 8:09Speaker 5: but still it was it was still a holiday. When
- 8:11Speaker 5: you're in the Sugar Bowl and beating Georgia, right, that's
- 8:15Speaker 5: that's a ton of fun. That that'll make other other
- 8:19Speaker 5: fan bases jealous for sure, when you're.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Down there in Nola partying and winning. I'm in.
- 8:26Speaker 5: I love to hear from you guys though, Thanks for
- 8:29Speaker 5: saying hello, and uh, we've got a good show lined
- 8:33Speaker 5: up for you today.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Some more good audio too. Our guests this week have
- 8:37Speaker 4: been yeah, just on fire.
- 8:42Speaker 5: And we're not even close to don so we're in fact,
- 8:44Speaker 5: we're just getting we're just getting started. It's National hot
- 8:47Speaker 5: Dog Day. Not a big hot dog fan. If I
- 8:51Speaker 5: do have a hot dog, I want it to be
- 8:53Speaker 5: as quality as it can be. But I've always thought
- 8:57Speaker 5: how quality, even the top top shelf, highest quality hot dog,
- 9:03Speaker 5: what is that? I haven't had one this year. I
- 9:07Speaker 5: did cook him on the grill. I know that takes
- 9:09Speaker 5: like three minutes. You just move him around a little bit.
- 9:13Speaker 5: But Wendy thought some of the kids needed him for
- 9:16Speaker 5: Fourth of July, so I threw a few on the
- 9:19Speaker 5: fancy ninety nine dollars weather that I have. We're live
- 9:22Speaker 5: in the bank plus studio. Good morning, Welcome in, Buckle up,
- 9:25Speaker 5: hang out with us. We want to hear from you
- 9:26Speaker 5: on the text line.
- 9:47Speaker 1: On the big board.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Oh, I think I have something on guys trips and
- 10:14Speaker 5: bachelor parties. Oh, this could be fun. Good morning, welcome in.
- 10:21Speaker 5: I didn't hear from all of you on who you're
- 10:24Speaker 5: picking to win the SEC and who you're picking to
- 10:26Speaker 5: win the national title. So far the leaders in the
- 10:30Speaker 5: clubhouse for the out of bounds Nation from yesterday or
- 10:33Speaker 5: Georgia and Ohio State.
- 10:36Speaker 4: So you know.
- 10:40Speaker 5: Texas got a vote. You know what's interesting is Bama
- 10:45Speaker 5: did not get a vote as far as winning the
- 10:49Speaker 5: SEC or the national championship.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Here's what's.
- 10:53Speaker 5: If Bama is as good as people believe that they
- 10:56Speaker 5: can be on defense, watch out they could really have.
- 11:00Speaker 5: I know this is so weird and probably bat blank
- 11:05Speaker 5: crazy framing it up like this, but because they went
- 11:08Speaker 5: to the College Football Playoff and won a road game.
- 11:12Speaker 5: But it was a disappointing season when you get beat
- 11:14Speaker 5: whatever it was, thirty eight to three by Indiana.
- 11:17Speaker 4: But if they're, if they're rolling on d then watch out.
- 11:26Speaker 5: I mean, they can't be any worse running the football,
- 11:29Speaker 5: so they're gonna be better. Running the football may not
- 11:31Speaker 5: be great, okay, but they're gonna be better. I mean,
- 11:35Speaker 5: they went and got an offensive line coach that looks
- 11:37Speaker 5: like you've got a pretty damn good pedigree.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Some in the NFL Da da, dada da. I don't
- 11:42Speaker 4: know if.
- 11:42Speaker 5: Grub was the connection through that, but Grubs their offensive coordinator,
- 11:47Speaker 5: and I wonder if he's gonna lean back on running
- 11:49Speaker 5: the football after last year when they couldn't run the
- 11:51Speaker 5: football and it was all on Ty Simpson.
- 11:53Speaker 4: But we'll see between the two schools.
- 11:56Speaker 5: As you know, Mississippi State does play Bama and Olemiss
- 12:01Speaker 5: does not, So just kind of get that on your radar.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Mississippi State doesn't play Georgia and Ole Miss does. Kind
- 12:08Speaker 5: of give you an idea of what's going on there
- 12:10Speaker 5: with your schedule this year, because I know a lot
- 12:12Speaker 5: of you are already getting ready. You're playing the tailgates,
- 12:15Speaker 5: you're planning where you're going, how many home games if
- 12:18Speaker 5: you're not going to all of them? Most write a
- 12:21Speaker 5: lot of them and then away games. We are the
- 12:24Speaker 5: out of Bounds show ESPN one oh five nine to
- 12:27Speaker 5: the Zone. We're powered by Total Transportation of Mississippi. They're
- 12:30Speaker 5: offering nationwide and regional routes for you. Apply right now
- 12:34Speaker 5: total ms dot com, Total ms dot com weekly pay,
- 12:39Speaker 5: monthly bonuses, time off powered by Total Transportation of Mississippi,
- 12:45Speaker 5: totalms dot Com. In fact, I had a guy yesterday
- 12:49Speaker 5: when I was at the Chocktaw Central ribbon cutting. He
- 12:52Speaker 5: came up to me and he asked me if I
- 12:54Speaker 5: was going to road games, and I said, I've retired
- 12:58Speaker 5: from from road games. I did, and I'm not as
- 13:01Speaker 5: mad at it anymore. I know they're fun and if
- 13:04Speaker 5: if somebody calls me with something called a plane, then
- 13:08Speaker 5: I may be in. But I'll be honest at this,
- 13:12Speaker 5: about the last fifteen years of my life, I have
- 13:17Speaker 5: gotten to the point where when I'm not in startbull
- 13:21Speaker 5: for the weekend, I absolutely love being at the house,
- 13:26Speaker 5: waking up, you know, food, game days on, do your thing,
- 13:32Speaker 5: everything you know you got TV's all right, I mean
- 13:34Speaker 5: I don't. I'm sure I'll do the same thing. I'll
- 13:37Speaker 5: put the TV on in the living room kitchen, put
- 13:39Speaker 5: it on in the man room the Whiskey sixty one
- 13:42Speaker 5: man Cave, and even walk down to the boat house
- 13:45Speaker 5: and turn it on just because I like to roam
- 13:49Speaker 5: and talk to myself like y'all do. And that way
- 13:52Speaker 5: everything's on throughout the day and you just kind of
- 13:55Speaker 5: celebrate it. But like getting like somebody was trying to
- 14:01Speaker 5: taught me into going to Columbia South Carolina. I was like,
- 14:05Speaker 5: how would I I mean, unless I'm going direct in
- 14:08Speaker 5: and direct out, I'm not driving it, obviously, because I
- 14:13Speaker 5: don't want to do that on a Sunday before a
- 14:15Speaker 5: big week of five shows during football. But I mean,
- 14:20Speaker 5: that's the last thing I'd want to do is drive
- 14:22Speaker 5: home from Columbia South Carolina, and especially knowing that it's
- 14:25Speaker 5: a sixty to forty chance of South Carolina winning. But yeah,
- 14:35Speaker 5: and even going delta over there and back that none
- 14:37Speaker 5: of that sounds fun. So that's funny On the two
- 14:42Speaker 5: two eight area code on the Dancing Rabbit golf text line,
- 14:46Speaker 5: this is funny.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Ducky.
- 14:51Speaker 5: I'm assuming that's a nickname, but good morning, gentlemen, Jackson.
- 14:55Speaker 5: Tighten up Ducky, and then he says twenty six twenty
- 14:59Speaker 5: seven s champion in Mississippi State, twenty six twenty seven
- 15:03Speaker 5: National Champ Mississippi State. Please add that vote to the
- 15:09Speaker 5: tally and give the people a good laugh. Okay, yeah,
- 15:16Speaker 5: we know that the only team in the state of
- 15:17Speaker 5: Mississippi that can challenge.
- 15:19Speaker 4: For the SEC is the old miss Rebels.
- 15:21Speaker 5: So you know you're in a bad spot and you're
- 15:24Speaker 5: in purgatory when the whole debate around your team is
- 15:28Speaker 5: six and six and that's where Mississippi State is. I mean,
- 15:32Speaker 5: how meh and just boring?
- 15:35Speaker 4: Is that right?
- 15:37Speaker 5: I mean it's like asking me to watch sixty minutes
- 15:39Speaker 5: for like hours today. I just again, just take a
- 15:44Speaker 5: power tool to my knee and my ankle and my hip.
- 15:49Speaker 5: Just go ahead and get it over with. I'd rather
- 15:51Speaker 5: go to the r which you could almost die.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Then then you can almost die watch the sixty minutes.
- 15:59Speaker 4: No kid, I've heard that. That's a strong rumor, is there. Wow?
- 16:05Speaker 4: I think I think Bill maher Or or Tucker Carlson said.
- 16:10Speaker 2: It all right.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Out of bounds. One five nine the zone ESPN is
- 16:15Speaker 4: beer Slayer really weighed in this morning.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Look at that Beer Slayer. I love that name. All
- 16:21Speaker 5: this before seven thirty these guys.
- 16:24Speaker 4: You guys are bringing it.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Good morning, listening on the app, the out of Bounds
- 16:28Speaker 5: radio app from Flowwood, I've already walked two miles now, dude,
- 16:32Speaker 5: you're awesome. I got on the shake plate, but I
- 16:35Speaker 5: did not do my walk this morning. I wasn't really
- 16:37Speaker 5: impressed with myself. But I did get on the the
- 16:43Speaker 5: the deal and I shaked it out, shake it out,
- 16:48Speaker 5: shaked it out, shook it out.
- 16:49Speaker 4: I don't know, but yeah, so that's good for you. Man.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Yeah, steps are awesome. I have a buddy who's doing
- 16:58Speaker 5: twenty thousand a day.
- 17:00Speaker 4: That is.
- 17:01Speaker 5: I mean, I've done that many times, but I can't
- 17:04Speaker 5: do that on a regular basis.
- 17:05Speaker 4: I need to, but I can't.
- 17:07Speaker 5: If you can get close to that ten thousand, you're
- 17:10Speaker 5: freaking awesome. But Twinny, yeah, how about that twenty thousand
- 17:17Speaker 5: walks three times a day, morning, midday, and after dinner.
- 17:23Speaker 4: How about that?
- 17:25Speaker 1: That's just dedicated walker. I guess.
- 17:27Speaker 5: Yeah, well you're watching Jeopardy and eating cereal, well, which
- 17:31Speaker 5: is I don't even know what to do with that.
- 17:34Speaker 4: You know, eventually that'll pay all, there's no question about it.
- 17:37Speaker 1: ROI will be returned.
- 17:38Speaker 5: I can't imagine what the ROI is for you on yep,
- 17:43Speaker 5: how would be the word? But I can't imagine what
- 17:46Speaker 5: the ROI would be for you on sitting on your
- 17:51Speaker 5: couch eating cereal watching Jeopardy.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Depends if I can get on Jeopardy or not.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Dude, if you get on Jeopardy, I'm doing a remote
- 17:59Speaker 5: from out I mean, we have broadcast live from Los Angeles,
- 18:02Speaker 5: which is kind of cool to say on multiple occasions,
- 18:05Speaker 5: but hell, yeah, I will be out there. I wouldn't
- 18:09Speaker 5: be I mean I would be doing play by play.
- 18:11Speaker 1: You should.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I wouldn't be last place. I don't think he would.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I don't think I would. Yeah.
- 18:18Speaker 5: I don't think I've ever watched a full Jeopardy episode.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Are they when they get down to the nitty gritty room.
- 18:27Speaker 4: I watched Family Feud when I was a kid, like
- 18:29Speaker 4: nineteen eighty three. They were wearing those real thick flaid
- 18:33Speaker 4: sport coats like they look like they weighed about thirty
- 18:37Speaker 4: two pounds at least. I think we were all walking
- 18:40Speaker 4: around and clothes that weighed thirty pounds.
- 18:42Speaker 5: I'm not sure what our thing was. I don't know
- 18:47Speaker 5: how heavy and thick can we make clothes and drapes.
- 18:50Speaker 5: I don't know how we all did suffocate inside. I mean,
- 18:54Speaker 5: the shag carpet and the drapes in nineteen eighty one
- 18:57Speaker 5: were thick enough to stop a nuclear ward. Plus everybody
- 19:01Speaker 5: was smoking. I don't understand it. I mean I flew
- 19:04Speaker 5: to Alpine A nine years old and eighty percent of
- 19:10Speaker 5: the plane was smoking. Yeah, buddy, I think I should
- 19:13Speaker 5: sue somebody. Richard got to figure out who I'm gonna
- 19:16Speaker 5: do what.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Richard Dawson was the hose that had all these.
- 19:18Speaker 5: Yeah Dawson, you know he was a cat. Oh God,
- 19:22Speaker 5: I wonder how many girlfriends he had. We are the
- 19:24Speaker 5: Out of Bound Show. We're powered by Independent Roofing Systems
- 19:27Speaker 5: number one in the commercial and industrial roofing space. Look
- 19:31Speaker 5: at the projects that they've completed since nineteen eighty Roofing MS. Hey, Hey,
- 20:11Speaker 5: good morning, Welcome into the Out of Bounds Show ESPN
- 20:15Speaker 5: one oh five nine.
- 20:16Speaker 4: The Zone.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Uh Will Trinidad Chambliss be in Heisman contention in November?
- 20:26Speaker 5: We're streaming live on the Out of Bounds Radio app.
- 20:29Speaker 5: Can Camrio Taylor save Jeff Levy's job? A true sophomore
- 20:35Speaker 5: quarterback that started two games, but all in all didn't
- 20:40Speaker 5: play that much. And you can kind of throw away
- 20:43Speaker 5: the Bowl game because that was such a disaster. No,
- 20:47Speaker 5: that's not on Camrio, but I think those are good questions.
- 20:52Speaker 5: Will Trinidad be still be in the hunt for the
- 20:56Speaker 5: Heisman in November? Can Camaro Taylor save Jeff Levy's job?
- 21:05Speaker 5: Holy Mary OL's just seven and eighteen one in fifteen
- 21:10Speaker 5: in conference play talking about just burying yourself, rolling back
- 21:17Speaker 5: Coleman Hustler and Blake shaping and so here you are,
- 21:22Speaker 5: you know again, you could be just around five hundred
- 21:25Speaker 5: and you'd be pretty damn safe. Twelve and thirteen, thirteen
- 21:29Speaker 5: and twelve overall, and it'd be a lot you know,
- 21:34Speaker 5: people would be. People are on the edge, not happy
- 21:39Speaker 5: as they actually they're not even as ticked as they
- 21:42Speaker 5: should be. Like Ole Miss would have already you know,
- 21:45Speaker 5: taken the the proper measures because they want to win,
- 21:50Speaker 5: and other schools, but you would you would actually think
- 21:54Speaker 5: that more people would be absolutely irate and furious, because
- 21:58Speaker 5: that's what pressure drive people, you know, to to make
- 22:03Speaker 5: changes or do what it takes to win. You didn't
- 22:06Speaker 5: have to worry about that, Like when Mullen was a coach.
- 22:09Speaker 5: Cohen was a coach, Schaefer was a coach.
- 22:14Speaker 2: You know.
- 22:14Speaker 4: O'Connor. Of course, you don't have to worry about him.
- 22:16Speaker 4: He works eighteen hours a day.
- 22:18Speaker 5: He never leaves the you know you talk to people,
- 22:20Speaker 5: he never leaves the facility. He's always locked in, always focused. Yes,
- 22:25Speaker 5: I know he picked up the UCLA pitcher yesterday that
- 22:27Speaker 5: y'all are excited about, and you should be. But this
- 22:34Speaker 5: is this is an interesting experiment that's going on in
- 22:40Speaker 5: in Starbull so and then nobody's heard or seen Jeff
- 22:45Speaker 5: Levy or Zack Sulman. You know, you're the only school
- 22:49Speaker 5: in the league that that's not pressing the flesh and
- 22:54Speaker 5: cultivating relationships and so on, which is a head scratcher.
- 22:57Speaker 5: That's what everybody does in every business.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Well, well should too.
- 23:02Speaker 5: And now Ole miss has had a hell of a
- 23:04Speaker 5: whatever they call it road ReBs Tour. They've been everywhere
- 23:08Speaker 5: from Charlotte, North Carolina to Cleveland, Mississippi, which is Pete
- 23:11Speaker 5: Golding's old stomping grounds. He's not from there, but he
- 23:14Speaker 5: played at Delta State, right South Louisiana guy, but played
- 23:20Speaker 5: at UH at Delta State.
- 23:23Speaker 1: They claim him.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Yeah, when I really got to get you know, last
- 23:29Speaker 5: if y'all want to get to know, so to speak, Golding. Now,
- 23:32Speaker 5: granted he's been talking to the press all the time
- 23:37Speaker 5: since he became the head coach a couple of days
- 23:40Speaker 5: after the Battle for the Golden Egg last year.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Right, but.
- 23:45Speaker 5: The the interview that he did last year at the
- 23:50Speaker 5: Delta State Golf Invitational Alumni something something.
- 23:56Speaker 3: That that.
- 23:59Speaker 4: He walked you through.
- 24:02Speaker 5: Lane's whole blueprint, I mean gave you the whole blueprint.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Was an unbelievable interview of the who, what, when, where
- 24:10Speaker 5: and why. I watched it more than once and I
- 24:13Speaker 5: talked about it. I thought it was incredible. Plus, you
- 24:16Speaker 5: don't get them, you know, Laine had the saving deal
- 24:19Speaker 5: where you only got the coaches you like once a year.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Now during the college football playoff. Well, he was already
- 24:25Speaker 5: the head coach in a month. I was about to say,
- 24:28Speaker 5: you get them in the college football playoff, but that's
- 24:31Speaker 5: a different deal because Lane was already gone.
- 24:33Speaker 4: All right, we are the out of Bound Show.
- 25:00Speaker 7: Its six.
- 26:26Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, all right, let's finish that live endorsement. We're
- 26:40Speaker 8: powered by Total Transportation of Mississippi. Tootal ms dot com
- 26:46Speaker 8: tootal ms dot com.
- 26:49Speaker 5: We had a gremlin in the system. We're one oh
- 26:51Speaker 5: five nine to the zone ESPN. I am your host,
- 26:54Speaker 5: Bo Bounds. I want to thank y'all for going to
- 26:56Speaker 5: Spotify and listening to Mike Ntilier, Steve Robertson, Tom Lougan, Bill,
- 27:01Speaker 5: Dave bar Two, Jeff duncan On, Drew Brees, all the
- 27:05Speaker 5: interviews that we have on Spotify search out of Bounds
- 27:08Speaker 5: with Bo Bounds. Bar two was on the show three
- 27:12Speaker 5: years ago talking about the nine game SEC conference schedule.
- 27:16Speaker 5: Now we have it your team as you're listening, All
- 27:20Speaker 5: sixteen teams will play nine conference games. How is that
- 27:24Speaker 5: gonna look? What impact will it have? What will it
- 27:27Speaker 5: do to the league until we expand the college Football
- 27:30Speaker 5: Playoff after this season? How many teams will actually make it?
- 27:34Speaker 5: Knowing that evidently we're gonna take some G five teams
- 27:37Speaker 5: that eats up at least one, if not two spots.
- 27:40Speaker 5: Notre Dame has the easiest schedule. I mean Notre they
- 27:45Speaker 5: said we've got you, We'll trump you to any other,
- 27:50Speaker 5: you know, powerfour team. They've got a cake walk to
- 27:53Speaker 5: the college football Playoff. That's another spot taken. So then
- 27:58Speaker 5: then we're getting into. There's not many spots left if
- 28:02Speaker 5: Notre Dame and one to two G five teams are
- 28:05Speaker 5: gonna make it. This was Dave bar two three years
- 28:08Speaker 5: ago talking about if the SEC goes to a nine
- 28:13Speaker 5: game conference schedule. What did you make of? And you
- 28:18Speaker 5: went on a tear yesterday in between your hoops betting
- 28:22Speaker 5: on Twitter, which was awesome. I love it when you
- 28:24Speaker 5: get all fired up. What did you make of not
- 28:28Speaker 5: just Dellinger, but of where we are going here? Maybe
- 28:31Speaker 5: going to nine, maybe staying at eight.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Okay, so basically everything that I could think of that
- 28:37Speaker 3: I was tweeting about yesterday. So the first thing I
- 28:41Speaker 3: did is I took what Ross had posted in terms
- 28:45Speaker 3: of what the three teams are projected for, you know,
- 28:50Speaker 3: three permanents. Now as for going from eight to nine,
- 28:55Speaker 3: you know, regardless of which three teams they are. Okay,
- 28:58Speaker 3: let's put that out aside. Which three teams and Nick
- 29:01Speaker 3: complaining about it, Let's put that aside just for a second.
- 29:04Speaker 3: There's a few things that I have about that is
- 29:07Speaker 3: number one, why if it ain't broke, it, don't fix it.
- 29:12Speaker 3: I mean, right now, it doesn't matter what anybody does. Okay,
- 29:15Speaker 3: it doesn't matter what the schedule is for State or
- 29:17Speaker 3: Ole mass It doesn't matter what it is for Alabama
- 29:19Speaker 3: or Auburn. Everybody is going to complain about it, right,
- 29:24Speaker 3: it doesn't matter. Nobody's going to complain about it. Change
- 29:26Speaker 3: no change one of the things college. Unless you win
- 29:29Speaker 3: a national title in the SEC, everybody's complaining about the
- 29:32Speaker 3: season for the most part. Right. So, but if it
- 29:35Speaker 3: ain't broke, don't fix it. You're at eight. You've been
- 29:38Speaker 3: winning national titles, that's the goal. And now that we
- 29:41Speaker 3: have expanded playoffs, you want to go to nine and
- 29:45Speaker 3: limit your opportunities. That's dumb because also when you go
- 29:49Speaker 3: to nine, you can't go back. So we're in the
- 29:52Speaker 3: middle of change, of going from four to possibly twelve
- 29:57Speaker 3: team playoffs, and you're conference wants to make a change
- 30:03Speaker 3: right in the middle of a major playoff change. That
- 30:06Speaker 3: doesn't seem very bright to me. I don't care what
- 30:08Speaker 3: the money is. You don't know what's going to come
- 30:11Speaker 3: out of this new playoff system. And to make a change,
- 30:14Speaker 3: basically you're changing lanes in the middle of the intersection
- 30:18Speaker 3: with traffic coming the other way. I don't think that's
- 30:20Speaker 3: a very good idea.
- 30:21Speaker 4: I agree, because once you.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Go there, you can't come back right and you don't
- 30:25Speaker 3: know how this is going to play out now if
- 30:29Speaker 3: you make the change. Here's a few things I think
- 30:31Speaker 3: that are The one wild card is which game are
- 30:36Speaker 3: you changing on your non conference right? Is Mississippi State
- 30:41Speaker 3: adding Texas and dropping the Bahama School of Dentistry? Or
- 30:47Speaker 3: are they adding Texas and dropping Arizona? Okay, there's a
- 30:52Speaker 3: huge difference there. In terms of strength of schedule. There's
- 30:55Speaker 3: a huge difference there, in terms of projecting wind totals.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Are you drap are? Does the SEC want to go
- 31:02Speaker 3: total isolationism and go I'm gonna build a big wall
- 31:05Speaker 3: around the SEC. We're not playing anybody but us in here,
- 31:08Speaker 3: and we're fine on our own, which would totally utterly suck. Okay,
- 31:13Speaker 3: And I don't think they'll do that, But if they don't,
- 31:17Speaker 3: their strength of schedule rankings are gonna beat through the
- 31:19Speaker 3: roof their injury rate. It's already the highest injury rate
- 31:24Speaker 3: per snap in college football the SEC with eight conference games.
- 31:28Speaker 3: You go to nine, guess what more, bigger, faster guys
- 31:31Speaker 3: hitting each other, You're gonna have a higher injury rate
- 31:33Speaker 3: than you already have right now, you're gonna have less
- 31:36Speaker 3: top twenty five teams. Why because you're beating yourself up
- 31:39Speaker 3: unless you make the non conference super cupcake. And if
- 31:43Speaker 3: you have less top twenty five teams, that means you're
- 31:46Speaker 3: taking your safeself out of playoff opportunities. Adding that ninth
- 31:51Speaker 3: game without making your non conference terrible is putting yourself
- 31:57Speaker 3: in a position. With the new playoff format I think
- 32:00Speaker 3: is a poor one.
- 32:02Speaker 2: All right.
- 32:03Speaker 5: That was part two three years ago on the non
- 32:05Speaker 5: game conference schedule in the SEC.
- 32:08Speaker 4: You now have it.
- 32:09Speaker 5: Plus the mandated power four non con is still in place,
- 32:12Speaker 5: so all of you.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Will play ten power four games.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Ten power four games and now down to two non
- 32:23Speaker 5: cons against whoever, right, Tennessee Tech or Florida Atlantic or
- 32:29Speaker 5: Tennessee State, Youngstown State. I'm looking at the first week
- 32:33Speaker 5: of the SEC, Arkansas plays North Alabama. You know UA
- 32:38Speaker 5: PB Kent State and South Carolina Furman and Tennessee, so
- 32:42Speaker 5: you'll know where we're going there.
- 32:44Speaker 4: But now you have ten power four.
- 32:48Speaker 5: Games. The question is what can you do there? You
- 32:51Speaker 5: got to go to a zero in the whatevers, G
- 32:54Speaker 5: five's one, double a's. I don't even know what they're called.
- 32:58Speaker 4: D two and then what.
- 33:03Speaker 5: First of all, the physicality goes up. BAR two has
- 33:05Speaker 5: already told us it's the most injured conference. Then you
- 33:09Speaker 5: add a game, and so how do you navigate that.
- 33:12Speaker 5: There's just there's a lot going on. And again we
- 33:14Speaker 5: won't know all the answers after year one. We'll need
- 33:18Speaker 5: at least three or four years maybe to get an
- 33:21Speaker 5: idea of the who, what, where, when and why on
- 33:25Speaker 5: this the impact it'll never go back once they decided,
- 33:29Speaker 5: you know, this group may regret it.
- 33:32Speaker 4: I guess with an expanded all.
- 33:34Speaker 5: The way up to twenty four, you're you're definitely fine
- 33:38Speaker 5: because I mean, you'll take a boatload of SEC teams,
- 33:40Speaker 5: so you'll just have a ton of nine and three
- 33:42Speaker 5: teams going to the college football Playoff. It'll look again,
- 33:46Speaker 5: we're gonna have to wire our brains around the NFL
- 33:49Speaker 5: where nine and eight now you play seventeen games. For
- 33:52Speaker 5: the majority of my life, it was sixteen, so I'm
- 33:54Speaker 5: a little bit less than that early. But yeah, we've
- 34:00Speaker 5: had teams with losing records seven to nine, eight and
- 34:02Speaker 5: eight when we were playing sixteen go eight and nine
- 34:04Speaker 5: can still go. But you'all know where I'm going nine
- 34:07Speaker 5: and eight can get in the playoffs, and ten and seven,
- 34:11Speaker 5: and so it's going to be tough for us as
- 34:14Speaker 5: guys to We're not good on change, and especially on sports.
- 34:19Speaker 5: We cap out at about sixteen years old on what
- 34:21Speaker 5: we think and kind of the landscape of sports, both
- 34:27Speaker 5: our skills and everybody else's, and then what we think
- 34:29Speaker 5: about the teams that we love. So I think this
- 34:33Speaker 5: is gonna be wild. But once they expand the playoffs,
- 34:37Speaker 5: you should be fine. I guess you could have up
- 34:38Speaker 5: to good lord.
- 34:41Speaker 4: I mean when you get to twenty.
- 34:42Speaker 5: Four, right, I mean, are you going to have seven
- 34:47Speaker 5: teams sometimes eight teams that and is it going to
- 34:53Speaker 5: trickle down to eight and four?
- 34:56Speaker 4: I think it could.
- 34:57Speaker 5: I mean, you have teams in the top twenty five
- 34:59Speaker 5: that are ranked eighteenth, twenty first, and twenty fourth that
- 35:02Speaker 5: are that don't have just magnificent records. I don't know,
- 35:10Speaker 5: don't I don't know what they're gonna come up with.
- 35:13Speaker 5: I would think that the eventually the big ten in
- 35:15Speaker 5: the SEC get on the same page and they're gonna
- 35:20Speaker 5: I don't know if we're gonna slowly get there sixteen
- 35:22Speaker 5: twenty twenty four go straight to twenty four, do sixteen
- 35:25Speaker 5: for a couple of years, maybe skip twenty, maybe grab
- 35:28Speaker 5: it for another and then go to twenty four. You know,
- 35:31Speaker 5: TV inventory, they won't live sports. They're chomping at the bit.
- 35:39Speaker 5: I think that's a good question. Will we go to
- 35:41Speaker 5: eight and four college football playoff teams? That would not
- 35:46Speaker 5: surprise me.
- 35:46Speaker 4: If you go to twenty four teams, extend it one
- 35:50Speaker 4: more you gotta fill.
- 35:52Speaker 5: I think eight and four Big ten and eight and
- 35:55Speaker 5: four SEC could be in play. I don't know about
- 35:57Speaker 5: Big twelve and ACC. I'm not sure that that's that's
- 36:03Speaker 5: going to be enough pop and sizzle.
- 36:05Speaker 1: It depends. I guess who's on the committee.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Well yeah, And I don't know why they're still doing this.
- 36:11Speaker 5: I think that you've got two super leagues already. You
- 36:16Speaker 5: do it's called the SEC in the Big ten, and
- 36:20Speaker 5: then you've got two pretty good leagues. I mean, they're
- 36:22Speaker 5: still fun to watch. They still have some good games
- 36:24Speaker 5: throughout the year in the Big twelve, in the ACC,
- 36:28Speaker 5: I mean they have a lot. I mean, the super
- 36:30Speaker 5: leagues have some stinkers, but the Big twelve and ACC
- 36:33Speaker 5: have a bunch. But they've got some sizzle and some
- 36:36Speaker 5: fun games too. Could this get to the point where
- 36:43Speaker 5: eight and four teams make a twenty four team college
- 36:46Speaker 5: football playoff? I want to say yes, just to give
- 36:53Speaker 5: you you know, yeah, I really do. I mean, why
- 36:56Speaker 5: wouldn't they Well, okay, are you going to have six
- 36:59Speaker 5: to seven Big ten and SEC teams? So you just
- 37:03Speaker 5: gobbled up fourteen spots, right, two mid majors, but then
- 37:06Speaker 5: you still have ten spots and Notre Dame sent two
- 37:11Speaker 5: two mid majors and Notre Dame I'm at seventeen, right,
- 37:16Speaker 5: and then we have seven spots to fill out the
- 37:18Speaker 5: ACC in Big twelve like last year at three to
- 37:22Speaker 5: four a piece, Bazoo and Tennessee.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Rate and five last year, that's what they finished.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Well, Banderbilt and Notre Dame were the ones that that
- 37:31Speaker 4: won ten games and got left out.
- 37:33Speaker 1: They had been slam dunkin obviously.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean they're they're so in, they're in in.
- 37:37Speaker 5: They won, and both of those were capable, although not
- 37:41Speaker 5: like super great teams, but not bad at all.
- 37:44Speaker 4: They were both capable of winning first round games.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:47Speaker 5: Yeah, they could have played James Madison right or two
- 37:50Speaker 5: Lane or Boise or SMU. These are teams that have
- 37:52Speaker 5: made the College Football Playoff the last couple of years
- 37:56Speaker 5: that that were not that got in bear you know that,
- 37:59Speaker 5: good Lord, that were snoozers.
- 38:01Speaker 4: I mean those games aren't interesting. How many times does
- 38:04Speaker 4: it take for that to like really hammer home what's
- 38:08Speaker 4: really going to like?
- 38:08Speaker 1: Do we need to keep doing this?
- 38:10Speaker 4: Are they going to roll this out year after year
- 38:12Speaker 4: after year?
- 38:13Speaker 5: I think the question that you're asking is will the
- 38:16Speaker 5: SEC and Big Ten, along with the TV network still
- 38:20Speaker 5: be as we expand still be okay with G five
- 38:23Speaker 5: teams in it?
- 38:25Speaker 4: That's I think, what.
- 38:27Speaker 5: Or do they want to fund a final four and
- 38:30Speaker 5: just say we'll fund it. It'll be more interesting, it
- 38:32Speaker 5: makes more sense. We'll do a final four of G
- 38:35Speaker 5: five teams. So Coastal Carolina can play La La La
- 38:37Speaker 5: Fayette and Troy can play Memphis in a final four.
- 38:40Speaker 5: People would bet on it, watch it over Christmas Holidays
- 38:43Speaker 5: because I promise they will. Because you're bouncing around, you're
- 38:46Speaker 5: doing things, and if football is on, it's at least
- 38:49Speaker 5: in the background, and it'll be on bars and restaurants
- 38:51Speaker 5: throughout the country blah blah blah, which is also they
- 38:55Speaker 5: they take that into account too.
- 38:56Speaker 4: Vegas will get plenty of action and the eyeballs would
- 38:59Speaker 4: be there, right and you still get some money. But
- 39:02Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 39:03Speaker 5: Maybe they just say we're gonna we're gonna allow him
- 39:07Speaker 5: to be in, and we're not gonna have interesting games.
- 39:10Speaker 4: Most of the time when they're in depends on how many.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Uh.
- 39:13Speaker 5: It's like UNLV, Like what if Dan broke he won
- 39:16Speaker 5: ten last year. Okay, so let me walk you through this.
- 39:19Speaker 5: Dan Mullen UNLV in an expanded college football playoff. If
- 39:24Speaker 5: he goes ten and two, he's in. But let's be honest,
- 39:26Speaker 5: who all can UNLV beat Maybe a Big twelve or
- 39:30Speaker 5: ACC team that slips.
- 39:32Speaker 4: In absolutely can possibly surely well, I mean you look
- 39:35Speaker 4: at if you're looking at that eighteen to twenty four range, Okay,
- 39:38Speaker 4: fair enough.
- 39:39Speaker 5: I mean if they somehow yeah, the twenty to twenty
- 39:41Speaker 5: four range. Eighteen to twenty four range, I guess. And
- 39:44Speaker 5: a UNLB at no doubt ten and two. Could San
- 39:47Speaker 5: Diego State, Well Coastal Troy, Twulane, La La Fayette, Southern
- 39:53Speaker 5: miss if they get rolling Florida Atlantic ass money and
- 39:57Speaker 5: population and enrollment.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Who am I missing?
- 40:02Speaker 5: Could a MAC team get Yeah, a MAC team two
- 40:06Speaker 5: is capable of going ten and two, eleven and one
- 40:09Speaker 5: and get in like Toledo or something. And Jason Kandell
- 40:13Speaker 5: been able to get out of Toledo. Why has it PJ.
- 40:15Speaker 4: Fleck been able to get out of Minnesota? These are
- 40:18Speaker 4: questions that I asked myself as I'm on the shake plate.
- 40:22Speaker 5: We are the out of Bounds show. We're driven by
- 40:24Speaker 5: your next GMC Sierra truck at Foller, Fowler, Foler, GMC,

- 40:49Speaker 5: and I'll tell you the guys who show up to

- 41:40Speaker 5: and glugs at uh fuel up there too.
- 41:43Speaker 4: I thought that was good. With par two.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we'll.
- 41:46Speaker 5: Go with Steve Das on Michigan versus SEC culture. This
- 41:51Speaker 5: was unbelievable. On the other side, we're going to do this.
- 41:55Speaker 5: It's gonna be really good, some great audio, all right,
- 41:59Speaker 5: and so we'll take a look at that. On the
- 42:02Speaker 5: other side, mister d X says ole miss could beat
- 42:05Speaker 5: the old miss Rebels. Oh wow you UNLV Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 42:11Speaker 5: UNLV could beat the old Miss Rebels. I don't think so.
- 42:15Speaker 4: Nope, No. But to where we were going, like, I
- 42:20Speaker 4: don't know how a twenty four. I really need to.
- 42:22Speaker 5: Know the quality or lack thereof of the eighteen to
- 42:27Speaker 5: twenty four on the back end that get in and
- 42:30Speaker 5: how many are going to be nine and three teams
- 42:32Speaker 5: and how many are going to be eight and four teams,
- 42:35Speaker 5: and how many bo will be G five and how
- 42:37Speaker 5: that looks so that if the UNLB and Dan Mullen
- 42:40Speaker 5: win ten games like they did last year, once this
- 42:43Speaker 5: goes into effect, they'll have to play the first round game.
- 42:48Speaker 4: Got more buys on the front end, Sure, you could
- 42:51Speaker 4: get matched up with another G five, that's true. I
- 42:54Speaker 4: guess that would be the deal.
- 42:56Speaker 5: If UNLB plays Coastal or two lane or like TCU
- 43:00Speaker 5: gets in, sure I think you would.
- 43:02Speaker 4: Yeah, they could beat TCU.
- 43:03Speaker 1: Yeah. Uh.
- 43:05Speaker 5: Like if NC State got in, Yeah, well maybe a
- 43:10Speaker 5: little bit of a stretch, but possible. Barry Odom beat
- 43:13Speaker 5: Power four teams, I don't know if Dan beat one
- 43:15Speaker 5: last year, We'll have to look at that. That Abound
