- 0:00Angel Reese. Oh, here we go.
- 0:02Angel Reese is quickly becoming one of the most annoying
- 0:05athletes in sports. Did you see her yesterday crying
- 0:09about how popular Caitlyn Clark is?
- 0:11How about you try to set yourself apart on the court like
- 0:13Clark did, shooting from the logo and breaking every college
- 0:17record instead of just crying in the post game presser?
- 0:20She sucks. Cole, what's your take on that?
- 0:23Because I think you have a different take on Ames or Reese
- 0:25than most people go. Interesting.
- 0:27We have 4 pieces of audio that we can go through and you guys
- 0:30can that's. It for WNBA only four.
- 0:32Only four. Only four.
- 0:34We got a lot. Four pieces we usually have.
- 0:36Four pieces of We don't even have Cardinals audio.
- 0:39We have 4 pieces of WNBA audio. That's the first time it's ever
- 0:42been said in the history of Saint Louis Radio, and I love
- 0:44it. Wow, that's funny dude.
- 0:47OK, we got to set. So what's up?
- 0:49We got to set the stage here. What do we got?
- 0:51We got we got Stephen A Smith going and getting in a fight
- 0:54with all the people on his show about whether or not people
- 0:57actually care about the WNBA. We got Pat McAfee.
- 1:00Oh God. We got him.
- 1:01We got Angel Reese responding to Pat McAfee.
- 1:04Oh, wow. I.
- 1:05Didn't see that yet either. And then, well, I mean, that's
- 1:07what they're. Talking about, then we have Pat
- 1:08McAfee responding to Angel Reese's comments on Pat McAfee.
- 1:13OK, So let's just go in chronological order here.
- 1:16So we're going to start at the beginning, beginning of the day,
- 1:19I guess, because I guess it'd be first take is on 9 to 11 and
- 1:24this is a bit a little bit longer, but this is Stephen A
- 1:27Smith going back and forth with Monica Mcnutt.
- 1:30A lot of you may not know who that is unless you watch ESPN
- 1:33regularly, but she's kind of had an expanded role in their
- 1:36programming, in part because the WNBA has become more popular.
- 1:40Women's basketball has become more popular.
- 1:41I think she, I think she played at Georgetown.
- 1:44I may be wrong in saying that, but she was a college basketball
- 1:49player. And so with this new influx of
- 1:51women's basketball being more and more of a topic, she'd
- 1:54become more and more of a, a persona, if you will.
- 1:58And so this is the really what started it out at the beginning
- 2:01of the day yesterday on ESPN. We're talking about them
- 2:05maximizing their great potential, and because we bring
- 2:09that up and talk about what potentially might get in their
- 2:11way, which we do to men all the time now, we got to sit up here
- 2:15and watch every syllable. I resent that and I'll leave it
- 2:19all. Right, So let me.
- 2:20So let me. I know we got to go to break.
- 2:21I know we got to break. Welcome to the world's of being
- 2:24a woman, Stephen A and how you have to dance about your word
- 2:27choice and you have to please everybody and anybody as you
- 2:30navigate your being. We are talking about the world's
- 2:33greatest about being a black man.
- 2:37So, so this is what I'm saying to y'all though.
- 2:39And I know we got to go to break and we didn't necessarily go
- 2:41there and maybe we should. There are so many layers in this
- 2:44conversation around the way that is being discussed When you
- 2:47right, No, no. And yes, Shannon, I know y'all
- 2:49are going to say, you know, and Steven, I know you're going to
- 2:51you. You just shared that you talked
- 2:52about the on your program too. You guys may not have said
- 2:56everybody, but the prevailing sentiment for folks that are
- 2:59just joining the WNBA and following women's sports is
- 3:02unfair to the women of this league.
- 3:04To your point, who have laid the groundwork for Caitlin Clark to
- 3:06come in and now take it to the next level.
- 3:09That's all I'm saying in these conversations.
- 3:11Kennedy Carters behavior is not indicative of the entire league.
- 3:14We are still talking about competition where you are
- 3:16allowed to get a little extra elbow and if you are competing
- 3:19and you do it within the parameters of the game, the game
- 3:22is physical. Caitlin is helping to grow the
- 3:24league, these women understand that, but she cannot be babied
- 3:26as a rookie. That's all I'm at.
- 3:29Who talks about The Who talks about the WNBA?
- 3:31Who talks about women? Who talk about women's sports?
- 3:33More. More than the more than first
- 3:35take. Stephen A, respectfully with
- 3:38your platform, you could have been doing this three years ago
- 3:40if you wanted to. Ohh.
- 3:43Gotcha. Wow.
- 3:44Alright, we gotta go you guys. Did You Know?
- 3:46You're my God, but. Who does more?
- 3:49I'm talking to you. I'm talking to you.
- 3:51Don't do that. I'm talking to you about the
- 3:53power. That you have, OK.
- 3:54I'm talking to you. OK.
- 3:58You, my God, but I'm talking to you guys, guys.
- 4:00Guys, guys, I really. Appreciate my girl, would you my
- 4:03girl, You, my girl. You my girl, Steven.
- 4:05At three years ago, you were not talking about the W at this
- 4:07level. Don't do that, guys, guys.
- 4:09Guys, guys, guys, guys, nobody. Was Monica.
- 4:11You making Steven A? Poor Monica.
- 4:13Monica. You are making Steven me do my
- 4:15job. Please.
- 4:17We've gone for get her. Hi.
- 4:19So there you go. Who's done more for women's
- 4:22sports than me? Stephen A Smith.
- 4:25Who has done more for women? When I talk about women's
- 4:29sports, I do so much for them. Man, that's funny, dude.
- 4:34Yeah, I'm sorry. That's funny to me.
- 4:35Yeah, so there was A and then you're.
- 4:38My guy, though, you're my guy. You're my girl, you're my guy.
- 4:41I like how Shannon chimed in there at the end.
- 4:42He's like, you're making his point.
- 4:43None of us were talking about this, but so that was kind of
- 4:48the powder keg, I think they call it.
- 4:52And so that that's how. So let's hear Angel.
- 4:55And this is where Cole, when I came in this morning, I kind of
- 4:57said we. Gotta hear Pat McAfee before we
- 4:59hear Angel 'cause he's gonna lead into that.
- 5:00We. Need at least 10 clips.
- 5:02Yeah, you got any more? You know what tomorrow no audio
- 5:05you to it on the. Show no no, no, it's I like this
- 5:08I'm. Sure you do 100.
- 5:10Percent. I do.
- 5:11Charlie's the one. Chirping.
- 5:12No, I like it. All right.
- 5:13And so the show right after that, the hour right after that,
- 5:17probably. Second take.
- 5:19Yeah, was three was Pat McAfee, and he let his show with an
- 5:25entire PowerPoint explaining how Caitlin Clark is the star of the
- 5:29WNBA. And people are distracting by
- 5:32saying, no, it's this rookie class.
- 5:34It's it's the entire rookie class.
- 5:36They're saying no, it's actually Caitlin Clark.
- 5:38And he had some choice language. Maybe came on brink.
- 5:41That I think she's the Stanford bombshell that one of our Texas
- 5:46were talking about recently. She does it.
- 5:48But here's what he had to say regarding Caitlin Clark, because
- 5:52that's all ESPN talked about yesterday.
- 5:54I think we're all learning the WNBA.
- 5:57That's old school football. That is old school football.
- 6:02But I would like the media people that continue to say this
- 6:05rookie class, this rookie class, this rookie class, not just call
- 6:09it for what it is. There's one white bitch for the
- 6:12Indiana team who is a superstar. And is it because she stayed in
- 6:17Iowa, put an entire state on her back, took a program from
- 6:19nothing to a multiple year success story?
- 6:23Is it because she would go on to break the entire points records
- 6:26in the history of the NC double? Not just the women's record by
- 6:29Kelsey Plum shout out, but also Pistol Pete Maravich's the dudes
- 6:33record as well. Is there a chance that people
- 6:36just enjoy watching her play basketball because how
- 6:38electrifying she is? What she did she stood for, how
- 6:41she went about going, what she went for?
- 6:43Maybe. But instead we have to hear
- 6:45people say that we only like her because she's white and she's
- 6:48the only popular because the rest of the rookie class is
- 6:51doing what they're doing. Well, that's a bunch of Bulls,
- 6:54and we think the WNBA, more specifically their refs, need to
- 6:57stop trying to screw her over at every single turn.
- 7:02Wow, the white biatch. Dang Dang Dang Dang.
- 7:06But he said it as a joke, correct?
- 7:08Yeah. That was not the overarching
- 7:11point, I'd say that. Was jokey poo.
- 7:13But somebody didn't take it. Although I think, I think that I
- 7:17get it. I think, I think you can say
- 7:20that and it's it's not right, but you can say that as a
- 7:22comedian on ESPN. There's kind of different rules.
- 7:27But this goes back to your whole point of if we're all trying to
- 7:29be funny, then aren't we just doing the same thing as
- 7:31comedians but they get a pass and we don't because they're
- 7:34funnier? Cole.
- 7:36No, I'm disagreeing with myself. There you go, Cole.
- 7:39I'm just telling you like. He's not used to.
- 7:41That it just lands. No, it just lands.
- 7:44It just lands differently. And it's not, it's not right,
- 7:47it's not fair. But otherwise he wouldn't
- 7:50apologize. If he was doing that as a stand
- 7:52up act, you never would apologize.
- 7:53But it's because you're the worldwide leader.
- 7:56You're owned by freaking Disney. You know, did he actually
- 7:59apologize because he wanted to or was he forced to?
- 8:04I think probably because just he, he felt the pressure, yeah,
- 8:08forced. To I don't know that's what
- 8:10well. Forced to by who?
- 8:11No, by the pressure. OK, well Force 2 implies that
- 8:15your bosses came to you and said apologize.
- 8:17Maybe they did, too. He could have said, no, I'm not,
- 8:20and he probably would have been OK, But he probably just caved
- 8:22in and said, yeah, the pressure. He's got other people ripping
- 8:25them, too, about this. And so now the boss has come
- 8:27down, he's probably like, yeah, I might.
- 8:28As well. Just no.
- 8:29He likes Caitlin though. I think I agree.
- 8:31That's where I also, because I think Pat McAfee is a really
- 8:33good dude, honestly. And here's what happens.
- 8:36We talk about this all the time on Twitter.
- 8:38You make a joke that you're making for your followers, they
- 8:42get your sense of humor, Then the whole peanut gallery comes
- 8:46in and they don't realize you're making a joke.
- 8:48So and, and by the way, I bring this up all the time.
- 8:51That's why Twitter is annoying to me.
- 8:53You're trying to have fun and be sarcastic, but then you end up
- 8:56with half your mentions are are idiots who don't understand the
- 9:00context of what you're saying. So if I'm Pat McAfee, I also now
- 9:04think, oh, people aren't even realizing I'm making a joke.
- 9:08They now think I'm this misogynist piece of.
- 9:11Crap, that's why. Part of that too is explaining
- 9:14like and you can't even do it because you have to watch the
- 9:17show to understand his sense of humor.
- 9:19But now people think he's actually crapping on her when
- 9:22he's not. He's doing the opposite.
- 9:26So you feel the need. He did apologize, but also I
- 9:28would understand why you'd you'd need to explain what you're
- 9:31actually. Who'd he apologize to?
- 9:33Caitlin. Yes, I think he put it out there
- 9:35on Twitter. I read it yesterday.
- 9:36Now, it was kind of a lengthier apology than I wish it were.
- 9:40And I wish he would have just texted, which he did.
- 9:42He said that he texted her and like, she's in Indianapolis and
- 9:46so is Pat and she's been on this show multiple times.
- 9:49So she probably likes they know each other.
- 9:51And the the greatest irony of it all is him calling her a white
- 9:55biatch is him kind of taking on the persona in that moment of
- 9:59the other people who are Caitlin haters and he's denouncing them.
- 10:03So the 100%, I agree with Charlie on that.
- 10:08Show's over, the show's over. Here we go.
- 10:10This is 590. The fan.
- 10:14But no, we're back. We're back, folks.
- 10:17We're back. Welcome into Hot Tag Central
- 10:18here on a Tuesday morning. But no, I also think that when
- 10:23the peanut gallery, as you said, kind of takes over, they can
- 10:26kind of cloud the judgment of Caitlin and how she may
- 10:29interpret it. And so Pat's probably like,
- 10:31well, this all right, this didn't go how I thought it was
- 10:32going to go. And I wish he.
- 10:35He was getting rocked. I wish he didn't even announce
- 10:37his apology because I wish he would have just texted her.
- 10:40And then if he were like, why don't you apologize?
- 10:41He'd be like, I did. And they'd be like, well, why
- 10:43don't we know about it so you don't need to.
- 10:45It's like, I think, and they're going to be like Caitlin, did he
- 10:46apologize? She'll say yes.
- 10:48It's like, it's like, why do I need to run my apology to her
- 10:50through you? Because you got to Well, because
- 10:52he probably wants to disagree it over with.
- 10:55And by the way, I agree with what you said, which is why I
- 10:58was disagreeing with myself. But it is true over the years,
- 11:02the way you talk, for example, I would say totally different
- 11:06things on the radio than I would on Fox 2.
- 11:09Totally different. Thank you, Dave.
- 11:11Totally different language, totally different conversations.
- 11:15Topics that you would never broach on TV, you would on the
- 11:18radio. Sarcastic language and
- 11:21borderline, you know, not swearing, but the things you can
- 11:24say on on radio that are allowed, I would never say on
- 11:28TV. There's different kind of radio
- 11:29too, like the stuff I say on here, like I'm not going to dip
- 11:32into you, you know, you're on with curbs or whatever the case
- 11:36is. Like no way, no way.
- 11:38There's a balance to it on 590. Let's.
- 11:44Go maybe? Pray for all let's.
- 11:45Go. That's all right.
- 11:47It's also the, the format because we have long form stuff.
- 11:50So if we talk for three hours, it's a lot different than you
- 11:53talk for 5 minutes and where if you step in it, you don't have
- 11:55that much time to recover and show people.
- 11:57It's like, no that. Well, I was trying to be funny.
- 11:59You could still throw in some risque things during that 5
- 12:03minutes. Too, if we were doing a Rams
- 12:05pregame show and we had 6 minutes to talk about a topic
- 12:09and you're trying to make a funny analogy, the funny analogy
- 12:11I would make on the radio would be much more risque than the one
- 12:15I would make on TV. There it is.
- 12:17And that's why I think Pat McAfee long term, I mean, if
- 12:20they let him be himself, it works.
- 12:22But he's not. He's not a corporate guy.
- 12:26He doesn't fit the corporate mole.
- 12:27Like, he's probably better off on his own.
- 12:30Well, so I'm saying. But everything about his show,
- 12:32it's more of a funny podcast. Yeah.
- 12:35So what did Angel Reese say? OK, so.
- 12:37And I need to get your opinion because you stole.
- 12:39Yeah. You said you agreed with
- 12:41everything she said. When I walked in here, this
- 12:43almost. And I brought up Angel Reese and
- 12:45I go, what do you think? You.
- 12:46Oh, you go. I agree with everything she
- 12:48said. But you said almost.
- 12:49OK, let's look. There may be one thing that I'd
- 12:51take back now. Just to be clear, she may not
- 12:53have been responding directly to in to, uh, Pat McAfee, but we
- 12:58just played the clip of Pat McAfee where he's saying people
- 13:00are trying to take the attention away from Caitlin Clark and make
- 13:03it a bigger deal about the general population of the rookie
- 13:07class. But he was saying, no, no, no,
- 13:09no, you got to cut it out. Let's be honest with ourselves.
- 13:10Caitlin's a star. And then Angel talking about
- 13:14those same points, just in a little bit of a different
- 13:17direction. It all started from the national
- 13:18championship game. And I've been dealing with this
- 13:20for two years now and understanding like, yeah,
- 13:23negative things have probably been said about me.
- 13:25But honestly, I'll take that because look where women's
- 13:28basketball is. People are talking about women's
- 13:30basketball, but you never would think that we talked about
- 13:32women's basketball. People are pulling up to games.
- 13:34We got celebrities coming to games sold out Arena is like
- 13:36just because of one single game. And just looking at that, like
- 13:40I'll take that role, I'll take the bad guy role and I'll
- 13:42continue to take that on and be that for the for my teammates.
- 13:45And if I want to be that, and I know I'll go down to history,
- 13:47I'll look back in 20 years and be like, yeah, the reason why we
- 13:50watching women's basketball is not just because of one person,
- 13:52It's because of me too. And I want y'all to realize
- 13:54that. I hate her so much.
- 13:55Yeah, I she's her. Personality sucks, she sucks.
- 13:58But wait a second. Wait, wait.
- 13:59You just said you but OK. I thought you said you love her.
- 14:01She said all this attention so you agree you want to.
- 14:03Date her. Well, yeah, he does.
- 14:05She's. Pretty looking, no?
- 14:07She looks whatever. I'll take Cameron.
- 14:09What? I'll take Cameron.
- 14:10Brain. No, no, no.
- 14:11OK, but she's good looking. If I have my choice.
- 14:16But she did say this is all because of one game.
- 14:19I agree with that. You do dude that one game but
- 14:23but the other games too. Last year she was ever all the
- 14:27attention was on Caitlin cartoon, but it's but it started
- 14:30last the the year 2 years ago. I.
- 14:31Mean if you're talking about two 2 championships ago, so 2023.
- 14:36It started whenever they went toe to toe together.
- 14:38I agree with that. And then all the momentum but
- 14:40all. The when she antagonized her
- 14:42walking around the floor following her going to John Cena
- 14:45I. Remember we were talking about
- 14:47that the day that happened. Charlie Tuna said that the
- 14:50Monday after on the radio, Charlie Tuna said people are
- 14:52going to go to the ballot polls in 2024 in the presidential
- 14:56election, thinking of what took place, in which side they were
- 14:59on, and that's the true vote. Well, if you don't like either,
- 15:03if you don't like either candidate.
- 15:05So does that mean, hold on, does that mean white people have to
- 15:08vote for Caitlin Clark and black people have to vote for Angel?
- 15:10Reese Yes, even though neither of them are eligible because
- 15:13they're not 35 years old. I do.
- 15:14Think it's funny though with like.
- 15:16I have no idea that, by the way, I have zero clue.
- 15:19Look who's back at all. By the way.
- 15:21Kramer, Michael Richards. But I have zero idea what
- 15:25Caitlin Clark's politics are. But I think people just assume
- 15:28because she's white and she went to Iowa that she's conservative.
- 15:31But she might be. I have no idea.
- 15:33She's quiet, OK, you would think, but also like.
- 15:36I would think, I would think most WNBA players are probably
- 15:40Democrats and I don't care. I just, I just think it's funny.
- 15:44Like I have no clue what her politics are.
- 15:47But, but, but society has lined this up along racial lines,
- 15:51which is why I've said all along that I find this so hilarious,
- 15:54funny and fascinating because even Angel Reese back in the
- 15:58day, her coach was the most conservative coach.
- 16:01Like, people did not. Yeah, Everybody who tries to
- 16:03politicize everything and all these cable news networks try to
- 16:06do that. Their heads were exploding.
- 16:08The national anthem. Everything with Ohio.
- 16:10How do I think, who do I root for?
- 16:12I have to root for. Oh my gosh.
- 16:14Wait, she's black, but her coach is conservative.
- 16:16Oh my God. It's great, it's hilarious.
- 16:19Hey, just ask them. I'm gonna ask you then.
- 16:21OK, so if Caitlin Clark was out of the picture and it was just
- 16:26Angel Reese playing and she was doing her thing, would they get
- 16:28it? Would the WB, Would we even be
- 16:30talking? Okay, well if Caitlin Clark was
- 16:33in there doing her thing and Andrew Reese wasn't doing her
- 16:36thing, would the WBA be where it's at right now just because
- 16:38of Caitlin Clark and not Angel Reese?
- 16:40Not where it's at right now. I think it would be if.
- 16:43She's throwing breeze from the from half court.
- 16:46She was doing crazy stuff. She's breaking all the records.
- 16:48If Andrew Reese wasn't involved, hold on, She they'd still it
- 16:50would still be a big. Take It takes two to tango.
- 16:53That rivalry stoked the fire that lasted an entire.
- 16:56Year by the way. So here's where I I didn't
- 16:59listen to everything Angel Reese said.
- 17:01After 5 WMB clips my mind starts to go I'm just joking.
- 17:05That was a joke. That was a joke.
- 17:06I was listening if if Angel Reese is making the point that
- 17:10it's 5050, I don't agree with her at all.
- 17:13It's not 5050. It's not Caitlin Clark 50 and
- 17:16you 50. But it might be Caitlin Clark
- 17:207075 and Angel Reese 2530. And I say that because dude,
- 17:27Jill Biden commented on this because of the Angel Reese,
- 17:33Caitlin Clark, you can't see me. I mean, the the presidency was
- 17:38talking about this. Let's invite both of them.
- 17:40That was dumb, by the way. But my point is that doesn't.
- 17:44Happen. Sure.
- 17:45Yeah. I'm sure he stays up late and
- 17:46watches all the games. Of the Flyers.
- 17:48Of all the different teams. Oh my God, but.
- 17:51What I'm saying is that doesn't happen if there isn't the you
- 17:55can't see me. Let's be real.
- 17:57The whole racial aspect of it, which we amplify in this
- 18:00country. So I agree with with that.
- 18:04Look, every great story needs heroes and villains and, and,
- 18:08and some people think Angel Reese is the hero, which is
- 18:10fine. I don't care.
- 18:12I'm just saying, OK, but what I'm saying is most people think
- 18:15that Caitlin Clark is the hero, but Angel Reese is a really
- 18:19captivating villain. And that's what makes a good
- 18:22movie. That's what makes a good story.
- 18:23But The thing is, you, you have a ton of villains now.
- 18:25The other chick that no one knew about, that pusher down, now
- 18:28she's the villain. Everybody could be a villain
- 18:30against Caitlin Clark. But the fact that and the fact I
- 18:33even know this is insane. But the fact that Angel Reese
- 18:36jumped off the bench? To.
- 18:38Clap the second Caitlin Clark got body checked.
- 18:41That shows you right there. By the way, this is all good for
- 18:44the sport. Great for the sport.
- 18:45And people are like, I put this on Twitter the other day and
- 18:48people are like I said, I said if 'cause I was comparing to
- 18:51NASCAR. Saint Louis Cicadas.
- 18:53No, but I was saying, look, NASCAR is so popular now because
- 18:57of the racing but also the fights.
- 18:58People love the fights. I'm like, if we all agree that
- 19:01NASCAR is more popular and it's good for business because of the
- 19:04fights, why is not the same people like, oh, this is
- 19:06terrible for the WNBA. No, this is the greatest thing
- 19:09that's ever happened in the history of the WNBA because
- 19:12people care. Then people are commenting, oh,
- 19:15but there's racial aspects. There has been racial aspects in
- 19:18sports since the beginning of time.
- 19:20Every sport. Oh, you don't think when Bubba
- 19:22Wallace pushes Kyle Larson, who used the N word a couple years
- 19:26preview previously, you don't think there's racial elements
- 19:29that you don't think there's racial elements?
- 19:31Anytime you know the one of 10 black hockey players, something
- 19:35happens with a white player, you don't think racial lines are
- 19:37brought. Same with baseball.
- 19:40Josh Donaldson and. Baseball with Latino players and
- 19:44people say that they're flamboyant, they don't respect
- 19:46the game and oh, the hard white boy from Alabama beans them.
- 19:51I don't think that's racial, OK. Or when there's a bat flip from
- 19:54Acuna or Tim Anderson, you don't think people bring race into
- 19:57that? It happens all the time.
- 19:58So are Angel Reese's numbers. What are they compared to?
- 20:02You think we know this? I'm no well, they.
- 20:04Don't know this on ESPN. Well, that's some point I'm
- 20:06trying to make. Well, I mean, maybe, maybe
- 20:08Monica, people are watching. She's been watching are.
- 20:10People watching Angel Reese's team play, you know.
- 20:13Lots of the same, I agree I. I, you know, she's like, we're
- 20:16selling out every building I watch.
- 20:17I saw some highlights. You weren't selling out in the
- 20:19building. Somebody brought up basically
- 20:21I'll. I'll tell you this, but and, and
- 20:24by the way, don't don't mistake these two things.
- 20:26Just because I think Angel Reese is correct doesn't mean I like
- 20:29that sound bite. I think arrogance is the most
- 20:31ugliest qualities that people can have.
- 20:34If you are going around, walking around telling everybody how
- 20:37great you are and how important you are, who wants to sit and
- 20:39listen to you talk about how awesome you are?
- 20:41No. One, I want to hear about your
- 20:42problems. Yeah.
- 20:43I want to see how bad I want to talk.
- 20:45Be self deprecating. I'll listen, yeah.
- 20:47You know, humanize yourself. That's what people.
- 20:50Like is though, hold on. When she cried after the game,
- 20:54she lost and said I've been sexualized.
- 20:56Everybody crushed her. She showed her human side and
- 21:00everybody's like, no, you were making money off sport's real,
- 21:02OK? Why was it not?
- 21:03Real because look at her Instagram feed, man.
- 21:05No, no one else is hacking her account and posting that crap.
- 21:09She's she's posing herself. She'll cry, then she posts more.
- 21:13Get out of here but. She can't win, though.
- 21:16She shows her human side, you know, like she could have
- 21:17wanted. She shows her real side.
- 21:19You say she's too arrogant. That's what's she supposed to
- 21:21do. Cole, why don't you play another
- 21:22clip? I have one more true though.
- 21:25We don't have to play it. We don't have to play it.
- 21:28No, I actually like the clips. I'm joking.
- 21:29Yeah, Because really, I don't follow it this closely.
- 21:32No. So the fact that I'm hearing it,
- 21:34it's interesting. I mean, we're doing 30 minutes
- 21:36on WMD. I might even post this on
- 21:38YouTube. It might do well.
- 21:39Probably not, but we'll see. It might.
- 21:42It could. You know the only.
- 21:43Thing that I do not agree with, and there are people in the
- 21:47media who have been, you know, that the people have been taking
- 21:49her side in this little feud. But the whole thing where I'm
- 21:54paraphrasing at this point is we played my millions of clips so
- 21:57long ago because we've been talking about it.
- 21:58But where? Whenever she's talking about,
- 22:00well, if you want me to be the villain, I guess I'll be the
- 22:02villain. No, she assumed that role
- 22:04herself. Course, nobody was talking about
- 22:06Angel Reese all year long her junior year, until she was
- 22:11following Kaitlyn Clark around, antagonizing her and making a
- 22:14big show of it, and then having a 48 hour social media parade
- 22:19for herself after she won the championship.
- 22:21So she assumed this villain role herself.
- 22:24I don't think people played placed it on her and then
- 22:27obviously, yes, it did kind of avalanche and so it now we're
- 22:31all in on it too. But she initiated this and she's
- 22:36kind of passing the buck. Well, if everyone wants me to be
- 22:38the villain, I guess that's what I am now.
- 22:40No, she initiated that. I agree.
- 22:42But the part about it all started with the national
- 22:46championship. Yes, at least for me and a lot
- 22:49of people who I talk, you're right.
- 22:51Courts with in general I agree with.
- 22:53It started with the national championship and it wasn't just
- 22:55Caitlin Clark because Caitlin Clark was a great basketball
- 22:59player that entire year and she was kind of a cute story.
- 23:01It exploded when Angel Reese came into the mix and and there
- 23:06have been some points where Angel Reese has been more
- 23:09interesting than Caitlin Clark. She just has.
- 23:11She's not better and I would never accuse her of being a
- 23:14better basketball player than Caitlin Clark.
- 23:15But everything that Charlie said about the racial elements,
- 23:18that's absolutely at play. And we don't have to act like
- 23:20it's not just because it's a touchy subject.
- 23:22It absolutely is. And it's more interesting
- 23:24because of it. And we will break this down with
- 23:26tuna tomorrow, by the way. He already texted me yesterday
- 23:29he wants to like. I say this, I say this with
- 23:31love. Caitlin Clark is not
- 23:33interesting. Yes.
- 23:35Am I wrong? She's.
- 23:35Just she's just amazingly good. What are you saying?
- 23:39Cam I? Didn't say any.
- 23:40I didn't. Say anything?
- 23:41Oh, interesting. You're talking.
- 23:42I wish we were on YouTube right now.
- 23:44We had your. I wish we agree with.
- 23:46I wish we had John Boy. You said she looks like Mel
- 23:48Gibson. I easy Antonio Brown.
- 23:51AB said that and I kind of know now he's like comparing her to a
- 23:54couple. Of other guys.
- 23:55And I'm like. The guy from Special Victims
- 23:59Unit, yes. What I'm saying though, is I
- 24:01don't think Caitlin Clark. Caitlin Clark is not this
- 24:04interesting person that has interesting takes.
- 24:07And that's fine. She's an amazing basketball
- 24:09player. But Angel Reese is actually more
- 24:11interesting off the court for me.
- 24:13She, not I. I have to give her credit for
- 24:15this and I can't stand Angel Reese because she is so arrogant
- 24:19and full of herself. It drives me nuts.
- 24:20But Angel Reese took Caitlin Clark to a level that Caitlin
- 24:23Clark could not have gone herself popularity wise.
- 24:26She didn't make her a better basketball player.
- 24:28She's always going to be a great basketball player.
- 24:30Made it more interesting to to to talk about.
- 24:32But and by the way, and. But Angel Reese, she won the
- 24:36championship, you know Caitlin Clark did not.
- 24:39Yeah, by the true, 100% true. Also, the Angel Reese is also
- 24:44kind of at the forefront of this whole like NBA players are sexy
- 24:47or WNBA players are sexy now. Why'd you like, hesitate so much
- 24:51to say that as if it was to get you in trouble?
- 24:53She's OK with that. Well, because they I don't want
- 24:57to. Cam Cam scale is very very
- 25:02strict like I. Think Caitlin Clark idea I
- 25:06think. Caitlin Clarke Attractive.
- 25:09Games like I'm a big Cameron bring fan Caitlin Clark.
- 25:11She. I'm serious.
- 25:13I'm serious virtue signaling. No, I'm not.
- 25:15Oh, yeah, you are. No, I'm not.
- 25:16No, No, you are. I'm really not.
- 25:17No, you are. No, I've actually seen pictures
- 25:20of her where they show her with her boyfriend.
- 25:22You're lying. OK, but I'm not saying she's
- 25:24some superstar model you're comparing.
- 25:27You're comparing her to like, Kate Upton.
- 25:31I'm just saying I'm being. Serious.
- 25:34Why would I? Why would I?
- 25:35Why would I lie? I think.
- 25:36I'm not saying she's the best looking woman WMA.
- 25:39I think she has her days where she's all right.
- 25:41I mean, I'm not. Serious Who's the hottest?
- 25:43Who's the hottest NBA? Has her days that she's all
- 25:46right. There it is.
- 25:47Why? Does this matter?
- 25:48She does. She I'm.
- 25:49I'm serious. She does.
- 25:50Why does this good? That's a good question, Caitlyn.
- 25:52Why? Is he's not unattractive.
- 25:54That's what I'm saying. That's exactly what I'm saying.
- 25:58I mean, she's no camera break. OK, that's different, I know.
- 26:02I'm I'm doing that for listen to Cam.
- 26:03I'm doing that for Cam's sake cause.
- 26:05Everybody right now listening to this, I wish you could see Cam's
- 26:08face. I wish you could see what he's
- 26:11what he's mouthing with his with his lips.
- 26:15You know, I'm just saying. I'm being honest.
- 26:18He's saying 3 words. Why do you think?
- 26:19OK, the second word is not. The third word is hot.
- 26:22But Cam, if you ask me what is and it doesn't matter, but if
- 26:26you ask me is so and so attractive, I would say yes, no,
- 26:30why would it? I'm not.
- 26:31Why do you think you think I'm lying like you think?
- 26:33Virtue signaling. What's up baby?
- 26:36Why I don't? Because.
- 26:37Just disapprove that you're correct.
- 26:39Name one ugly WNBA player. Dude, I'm sure there's a lot of
- 26:42these. I don't know the names of any of
- 26:45the players. Don't answer that question, Good
- 26:48God. Dude, there are ugly people.
- 26:51There are. Ugly.
- 26:52There are ugly dudes, there are ugly women.
- 26:55There are. We have to include trans people.
- 26:56There are ugly trans people, OK, there are ugly people.
- 26:59What percentage of of the world do you think is ugly?
- 27:02Don't you think at least? I would say don't.
- 27:04You think at least 30%? Thirty.
- 27:06Or more, I'd say 60. OK, but there's a difference.
- 27:09More than that. But ugly usually to me means
- 27:12your face. It's a combination.
- 27:17Of also your body good. Face your Your body looks
- 27:19mutated here. You know it.
- 27:21It sets you back. Then there's what I mean.
- 27:23Butter faces I also. With good body this gets into
- 27:26the Antonio Brown thing. I do feel bad for Kaylin Clark
- 27:29because dude, people are so mean, but people are so mean to
- 27:32her. I get it dude, she has millions
- 27:34of dollars but she still goes to Twitter and she sees people with
- 27:385 million subscribers comparing her to dudes.
- 27:42It's so cuddle. It's just it's me.
- 27:46I know it's AB and then he's got his followers.
- 27:50He's crazy. He's.
- 27:50Also giving love to some local ladies.
- 27:53Yes, he is. Yes, he is he.
- 27:55Finds her. Oh, I did.
- 27:56He's also getting chirped by a lot of people too.
- 27:59You broke ass. Hold on, that's what they're
- 28:01saying. I think AB is funny and I think
- 28:03even the even the tweets that I shouldn't laugh at, I clearly
- 28:07do. But still like I just think like
- 28:10what he's talking about. Kaitlyn Clarke, pubic hair.
- 28:12Don't like that? Come on, I know I don't like
- 28:14that. And there's a good example
- 28:15that's something I would not have brought up on Fox 2.
- 28:17There it is. You can talk about on the
- 28:18radius. To me there needs to be a line.
- 28:21When he does compare her to other guys and there is.
- 28:23That's just mean, dude. It's, so it is mean.
- 28:26I see. For girls, like I understand
- 28:27you're supposed to say that. I understand.
- 28:29Oh, women are equal. OK, I get that they are.
- 28:32No. No.
- 28:33That's so no, no. Listen, listen, I want them to
- 28:36make the same amount of money and all that.
- 28:38But my point is, I still think there can be some chivalry of
- 28:40like when you're just crapping on women and children.
- 28:43Like that's not tough. No, I, I know to me, if you're
- 28:46just always ripping on women, OK, they're equal.
- 28:48I get it. But still, like if you're going
- 28:49out of your way to crap on women.
- 28:51I feel like social media and stuff like that.
- 28:53In general. Yeah, I think he's going out of
- 28:56his way to crap on everybody. He's an equal crapper.
- 29:01I just think, I think guys, I just think guys can take it
- 29:04more. I don't know when you're going
- 29:06like I said, dude, when you're talking about.
- 29:08Dude, you should. We're not talking about.
- 29:09Did you hear that? So we're not equal.
- 29:10Did you hear that, Cam that? Oh wow.
- 29:12OK, so tell me, am I wrong then? Because I might be when he makes
- 29:16fun of Shannon Sharp, right? I laugh.
- 29:19I laugh my ass. Off.
- 29:21Is it inappropriate? Yes.
- 29:22But I don't think about it in the same way as when he makes
- 29:25one of Kane Clark, so maybe that's on me.
- 29:27Because he thinks Shannon Sharp is tough enough to take it.
- 29:29Because he's a man. Exactly.
- 29:31That's what I disagree. With but also we are equal.
- 29:33If they wanted to fight, you know, if Shannon Sharp was mad
- 29:36about what AB said, they could fight, you know, I just think.
- 29:38Sometimes Sharp would probably win.
- 29:40Sometimes you're kind of picking on girls.
- 29:42That's what I'm. Saying I agree with.
- 29:44That like Vivek at the debate. I think that one particular.
- 29:47Debate where he just went off on all the women in the Republican
- 29:50Party. I don't give a damn about that
- 29:54right now. What I do care about though, if
- 29:56you do want to take your lovely wife or girlfriend or whatnot,
- 30:01you know who you're equal. To the whatnot part.
- 30:03Or what? Well, you could be a cousin,
- 30:05friend, I don't know. I.
- 30:09Don't know what state? What state are we?
- 30:11In Alabama. Listen, you can take them to Old
- 30:15House in Hog Hollow. You got to check this place out.
- 30:17It is beautiful history, wine, spirits, food, music, plus an
- 30:22awesome name. I'm talking about the Old House
- 30:24in Hog Hollow. This beautiful, historic home
- 30:26has been turned into a wine bar and event venue that can host
- 30:29any and all of your gathering needs.
- 30:32I'm talking about wine tastings, bridal showers, birthday
- 30:35parties, business meetings, or any gathering where you need to
- 30:38wine the flow and the food to be scrumptious.
- 30:42Take a tour while enjoying a glass of wine and see all the
- 30:46original features that are still around from the 1850s.
- 30:49Oh baby. The Old House in Hog Hollow is
- 30:52open Thursday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM serving
- 30:55breakfast, lunch and brunch with live music on select dates

- 31:04The Old House in Hog Hollow is located located at 14319 Olive
- 31:10Blvd. in Chesterfield. Just look up online.
- 31:12Man, this place is beautiful and that is a great date night.
- 31:16Take whoever you want. You can take your buddy, you can
- 31:19take a girlfriend, it doesn't matter.
- 31:21You're going to have a Dang good time.
- 31:23Call your hands raised. What do you need?
- 31:24Well, I, I hope you were finished with that.
- 31:27OK, you are good. All right.
- 31:28Well, hey, we're going to play tribute Tuesday a little bit
- 31:30later and it's going to be brought to you by the Post
- 31:31Sports Bar and Grill. Just wanted to get that in.
- 31:33And we got Jimmy coming up in one minute.
- 31:35Text him so he's not pissy with you.
- 31:37Are we breaking? Phil, can I just say, by the
- 31:39way, part of this too, I am, I am the father of a daughter and
- 31:43I do think about it through that.
- 31:45Lens, of course. As you should.
- 31:46And you know what? I know you guys make fun of me,
- 31:47but I used to think about the same thing with my sister and
- 31:50you know what? This is also funny because like,
- 31:53you shouldn't be like, until I had a daughter, I didn't realize
- 31:56you should treat women well. You know, I treat women well
- 32:00because I have a sister. If not, you know, I shouldn't
- 32:04treat them well. But what I'm saying is I just
- 32:06look at that like if Caitlin Clark was my daughter, I would
- 32:09be. I couldn't even have Twitter.
- 32:10No. Dude I would.
- 32:11I would lose my God Dang mind. If Caitlin Clark was your son,
- 32:16you would. Lose your money.
- 32:19Think about it differently with a guy, dude.
- 32:20That's how I think just do. I had a daughter if I had just
- 32:23do if someone was doing something to my daughter
- 32:24compared to my son, which my son should probably suck it up and
- 32:27tough it out. My daughter, I'd be like.
- 32:29Ah, yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 32:30No, it's not. It's.
- 32:31Not fair, but it's true. Like I would, if somebody's
- 32:34going after my son, he's an adult.
- 32:35I would think, You know what? My son can handle it.
- 32:37You'd still lose your mind. I would, but not even close to
- 32:40the same amount if people were were making fun of my daughter's
- 32:43because weird. Weren't.
- 32:43Oh yeah, come on. No doubt.
- 32:45You would go insane, I know.
