- 0:00Speaker 1: Wanted to know, back in the day, serenading was a thing.
- 0:03Speaker 1: But like, what is something nowadays, if you did it today,
- 0:07Speaker 1: it'd be considered kind of creepy. But back in the day,
- 0:09Speaker 1: it wasn't. Or what did someone ever do to impress you? Michelle,
- 0:12Speaker 1: good morning.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Hi. So showing up to your house unexpectedly.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I mean, it's happened to me where someone's just knocking
- 0:21Speaker 2: on the door and I was like, oh, my God,
- 0:23Speaker 2: it's this guy. And he's literally just showing up with coffee.
- 0:28Speaker 2: But my dad would do that. Like back in the
- 0:30Speaker 2: day when he first met my mom, she said she
- 0:34Speaker 2: was trying to get his attention. But the next day
- 0:37Speaker 2: she heard someone in her house and she came out
- 0:39Speaker 2: and it was my dad. in the morning with her
- 0:42Speaker 2: mom and dad, you know? And I mean, he ended
- 0:46Speaker 2: up like sweeping her off her feet, but now it'd
- 0:48Speaker 2: be like, what the heck?
- 0:50Speaker 3: That's for sure.
- 0:51Speaker 4: You are a hundred percent right. Like when I hear
- 0:53Speaker 4: about your parents, like, ah, they're in love. That's cute.
- 0:55Speaker 4: But if that happened now, you'd be like, get out.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Like, why are you here?
- 0:59Speaker 1: Like what used to be romantic? That is creepy today.
- 1:02Speaker 1: In fact, I posted this on Facebook last night, secret admirers.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Think about it for a second. You start getting somebody
- 1:09Speaker 1: that is a stalker.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Well, the thing is that now we have phones, so
- 1:15Speaker 2: it's like you've got to let us know.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Sending flowers to ask someone out.
- 1:20Speaker 4: That's nice.
- 1:21Speaker 5: I don't know if that's... If you just.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Got flowers out of nowhere.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Well, yeah.
- 1:25Speaker 5: Like, how did you get my address? From a secret admirer, yeah.
- 1:28Speaker 6: Yeah, but like if they knew where you worked and
- 1:31Speaker 6: they sent it to your job and they were like, hey,
- 1:33Speaker 6: get them to.
- 1:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I could let that one slide.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I think you guys say that now.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Oh, God. I got a letter like that to work before.
- 1:40Speaker 2: It was so creepy. It was a guy I talked
- 1:43Speaker 2: to maybe once in my life and they called me
- 1:45Speaker 2: to HR to my new job. I was only there
- 1:48Speaker 2: one week and I received this letter of apology and
- 1:52Speaker 2: saying good things about me and I freaked out. It
- 1:55Speaker 2: was so creepy. And I remembered who this guy was. Like,
- 1:59Speaker 2: I talked to him once, and he asked me what
- 2:01Speaker 2: my body count was. But I instantly blocked him.
- 2:04Speaker 7: We didn't even, like, talk.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And he went online and found my job and sent
- 2:09Speaker 2: me a handwritten letter all the way from Texas to Arizona.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:13Speaker 2: That's creepy.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Tracking someone down you thought was beautiful is on this list.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Yeah, that's creepy.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Yeah, that's not going to work out.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Waiting outside their apartment. Yeah, those are all creepy. Michelle's
- 2:24Speaker 1: like an expert. Thanks, Michelle.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yes, thanks, guys.
- 2:28Speaker 1: So, yeah, I want to know what's something that somebody
- 2:30Speaker 1: did to impress you that would be creepy today, but
- 2:32Speaker 1: it was romantic. Tim. Tim, good morning.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Good morning, sir.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Do you do something?
- 2:40Speaker 8: So, no.
- 2:42Speaker 3: So, like, all the... So, I'm in my 40s, and, like.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Back in the 90s, early 2000s, making the custom mixtape stuff.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Now granted, nobody has tape players anymore and burning CDs
- 2:55Speaker 3: and stuff. That's long failed. But if you look back now,
- 2:59Speaker 3: we all had the Boyz II Men songs. We had
- 3:00Speaker 3: the NSYNC songs. We had Shania Twain, Faith Hill. You
- 3:04Speaker 3: had all those songs. This song is for you. Savage Garden.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Savage Garden. That's a killer.
- 3:10Speaker 4: They're good songs, but it's so cringy. Yeah, see, what
- 3:14Speaker 4: you got to do, though, is I definitely made a
- 3:17Speaker 4: lot of mixed CDs in my day. You got to
- 3:20Speaker 4: hide the sentimental one, all long, cool stuff. So you
- 3:24Speaker 4: put it in there as like a little, what's the
- 3:28Speaker 4: Easter egg? You got to sandwich it right in the middle.
- 3:29Speaker 4: You don't start with the Savage Garden. You can't start
- 3:33Speaker 4: with that. You got to go tempo.
- 3:36Speaker 3: But the whole CD is going to be like that.
- 3:38Speaker 1: That's the thing.
- 3:38Speaker 3: It's like my wife now, when she hears Shania Twain
- 3:40Speaker 3: on the radio or like it pops up in like
- 3:43Speaker 3: a a spotify playlist or apple music playlist or whatever
- 3:46Speaker 3: uh she's like i i cannot listen to this because
- 3:48Speaker 3: the amount of like boys are like oh this is
- 3:50Speaker 3: for you baby this is our song and like it's
- 3:53Speaker 3: so it's so bad it's so so bad.
- 3:56Speaker 1: All right tim i agree with you man thanks for
- 3:59Speaker 1: calling in no problem hey so we'll get into that
- 4:01Speaker 1: and also i think because of the girl got serenaded
- 4:04Speaker 1: on the date in the car That was a pretty
- 4:06Speaker 1: funny story. I'm just going to throw it out there.
- 4:08Speaker 1: If anyone's got a very funny first date story, 877-937-1047.
- 4:11Speaker 1: In fact, this is funny. A great prize would be
- 4:14Speaker 1: the Dave Chappelle tickets because Dave Chappelle is hilarious. So
- 4:17Speaker 1: tell us a funny first date story. We'll set you
- 4:20Speaker 1: up a Dave Chappelle ticket. Now, I don't know if
- 4:23Speaker 1: Peyton has heard this story. I don't even know if
- 4:25Speaker 1: Kyle's heard this story. But I think we wrap up.
- 4:28Speaker 1: the creepy thing with rich sharing the story of when
- 4:30Speaker 1: you serenaded that girl.
- 4:33Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not surprised, but I want to know.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Rich is a fantastic guitar player.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Well, so there was this girl in my apartment when
- 4:41Speaker 4: I lived in San Diego that I would talk to
- 4:44Speaker 4: by the mailbox, by the pool. And she had a
- 4:47Speaker 4: French accent and I was gone. I was like, so
- 4:51Speaker 4: into her. And I'm like, you know, it might be
- 4:54Speaker 4: fun if like one of these evenings, uh, I'd just
- 4:57Speaker 4: get my guitar and knock on her door and sing
- 5:00Speaker 4: her a song. I did that, and there was a
- 5:03Speaker 4: dude on her futon sitting in his boxers with no
- 5:06Speaker 4: shirt on.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Her boyfriend.
- 5:08Speaker 5: While you were singing?
- 5:09Speaker 4: Did you keep going? I didn't see him until I
- 5:11Speaker 4: was about halfway through. Then I wrapped it up.
- 5:13Speaker 1: What song were you singing?
- 5:15Speaker 4: It was a Chris Isaac song. I want to fall
- 5:19Speaker 4: in love. It's a wicked game. He's like, hey, bro.
- 5:23Speaker 4: He looks around.
- 5:24Speaker 1: He's like, hey, bro. That's pretty good. He was rich
- 5:27Speaker 1: on a $ 5 bill. See you later. Thanks.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Well, see you later. That did not work out for me.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I wonder if this is the same. I wonder what
- 5:35Speaker 4: ever happened to Eve's. Her name was Eve.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Tim, are you the Tim that just called, or are
- 5:38Speaker 1: you a different Tim?
- 5:39Speaker 3: I am the Tim that just called because now I
- 5:41Speaker 3: have a phony first date. Oh, okay, Tim.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Welcome to the show.
- 5:43Speaker 6: Tim, Timmy.
- 5:44Speaker 1: What is it, Timmy?
- 5:46Speaker 3: All right, so I met my current wife. I met
- 5:48Speaker 3: her online. I met her on Yahoo Personals, right? And
- 5:51Speaker 3: so I lived in the East Valley. She lived in
- 5:53Speaker 3: the West Valley. We met up at a school, and
- 5:57Speaker 3: then we were going to drive together. And so I
- 6:00Speaker 3: parked my truck at the school and we drove to
- 6:02Speaker 3: like Applebee's and we had did the two for 20 thing.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Fine.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Everything's good.
- 6:07Speaker 8: Whatever.
- 6:08Speaker 3: We, when she goes back to drop me off, cause
- 6:11Speaker 3: she doesn't want to go into her house yet. You know,
- 6:12Speaker 3: it's the first date, right? You know, it's, it's kind
- 6:14Speaker 3: of creepy, right? I start my truck and that's the
- 6:19Speaker 3: end of it. Well, I had forgot that my truck
- 6:23Speaker 3: automatically locked after like 15 seconds after it was started.
- 6:26Speaker 3: So I was talking to her. Started my truck, closed
- 6:29Speaker 3: my door, and then I got locked.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Out of my truck.
- 6:32Speaker 3: So my truck is sitting there running. I'm locked out
- 6:34Speaker 3: of my truck. I'm sitting in the middle of a
- 6:35Speaker 3: school parking lot. I'm like, what do I do? I
- 6:37Speaker 3: don't have a coat hanger. I don't have any of
- 6:39Speaker 3: this stuff. I was like, I got an idea. Call
- 6:42Speaker 3: the police because they have Slim Jims. And they can
- 6:46Speaker 3: unlock the car. Yeah, and so she calls the police.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Glendale Police shows up. They're like, get away from the car.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Step away from the car. They got their hands on
- 6:54Speaker 3: their guns. They're ready to freaking take me down. They're like, yo,
- 6:57Speaker 3: this is my ride. I'm like, well, prove it. All
- 6:59Speaker 3: my crap's in the car. I can't prove it. And
- 7:01Speaker 3: so they brand my license plate, and I had to
- 7:04Speaker 3: give my name. It had to verify, and everything was great.
- 7:06Speaker 3: And at the end of the day, they're like, oh, yeah,
- 7:08Speaker 3: we can call a tow truck for you, and we
- 7:09Speaker 3: can't open the door. But even though they had the
- 7:11Speaker 3: ability to, they didn't. They just say, oh, yeah, no,
- 7:12Speaker 3: we're not going to open the door for you. We could,
- 7:15Speaker 3: but we're just– we don't have an emergency.
- 7:17Speaker 1: This is an emergency.
- 7:17Speaker 3: You've got to call a tow truck. We can do
- 7:19Speaker 3: that for you.
- 7:20Speaker 1: This is all on the first date?
- 7:21Speaker 3: This is all on the first date. I locked my
- 7:23Speaker 3: keys in my truck with it running. And then she–
- 7:27Speaker 3: She fell in love. She went to tell her friends. Yeah, well,
- 7:30Speaker 3: her friends were like, well, how was the date? He's like, well,
- 7:33Speaker 3: he talks a lot, and he locked his keys in
- 7:36Speaker 3: his truck on the first date. And they're all like,
- 7:39Speaker 3: I don't know. Is this the dude you want? Well,
- 7:41Speaker 3: that was 20 years ago, and here we are.
- 7:45Speaker 1: You want to go see Dave Chappelle, Tim? That's a
- 7:47Speaker 1: funny story.
- 7:49Speaker 3: I'd go see Dave Chappelle.
- 7:50Speaker 1: You don't have to. We've got other prizes. You want
- 7:52Speaker 1: to go to Wicked Ball? That's on Halloween.
- 7:55Speaker 3: No, I'd rather go to Dave Chappelle.
- 7:56Speaker 1: All right, hold on. We'll set you up, Tim. It's
- 7:57Speaker 1: a great story. Wait, hold on. I cut you off.
- 8:00Speaker 1: What did you say? You got to do what?
- 8:02Speaker 3: Got to go see the goat.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's great. There's a lot of comedians
- 8:06Speaker 1: with that lineup, too. It's going to be great.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 8:09Speaker 1: We do need a contestant for a minute to win it. 877-937-1047. Robin,
- 8:13Speaker 1: you got a creepy story? It was. It's creepy now,
- 8:17Speaker 1: but if it happened back in the day, it was
- 8:19Speaker 1: kind of romantic. What was it?
- 8:21Speaker 7: Yeah, it didn't happen to me, but I was just
- 8:23Speaker 7: thinking about it. Back in the day, remember when they.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Used to throw pebbles at your window?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:29Speaker 3: To get your attention?
- 8:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:31Speaker 4: That's like every great movie.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Try doing that now.
- 8:33Speaker 4: No kidding. The alarm goes off, SWAT team.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Cameras everywhere. There are lights come on and helicopters are around. Yeah, no,
- 8:42Speaker 3: I was just bringing that up. I was thinking about it.
- 8:44Speaker 5: Back in the day when they used to throw pebbles
- 8:46Speaker 5: at your windows to get your attention.
- 8:48Speaker 1: There's a movie– remember the movie Say Anything where the
- 8:51Speaker 1: guy holds up the boombox and then– That's.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Where I got the idea for the serenade.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I saw an interview with the star, John Cusack, and
- 9:00Speaker 1: he said if that happened today, it would be creepy.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Oh, for sure.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Do you know what else you see in the movies
- 9:05Speaker 4: that seems romantic in the movies but if it happened now,
- 9:08Speaker 4: I think a girl would be like, what are you doing?
- 9:11Speaker 4: Like when they're at a restaurant– And the guy orders,
- 9:13Speaker 4: then he orders for the girl to, she'll have.
- 9:15Speaker 1: To sell it.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Let me order for myself, you creep.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Right, right. Yeah, don't throw pebbles at my window now.
- 9:25Speaker 5: Red flags.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Thanks, Robin.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Yeah, right. Thank you.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Are you guys, anybody here watching Slow Horses?
- 9:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Are you caught up?
- 9:33Speaker 4: I don't.
- 9:34Speaker 5: I think I'm one episode behind. No, I think I
- 9:36Speaker 5: am caught up.
- 9:36Speaker 1: There's a pebble.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Unless there's a new one from like today.
- 9:39Speaker 1: No, there's a part where one of the episodes where
- 9:41Speaker 1: there's these throwing pebbles.
- 9:42Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 1: But it wasn't romantic. It was work related.
- 9:45Speaker 3: All right.
- 9:47Speaker 1: We play a minute to win it. We got a
- 9:49Speaker 1: thousand dollars of Pat Hickey's money. We also got pay
- 9:52Speaker 1: your bills in about 30 minutes. We also got tickets
- 9:54Speaker 1: to Charlie XCX an hour from now. We got a
- 9:57Speaker 1: lot going on Um, this Saturday though, there's a great
- 10:01Speaker 1: combo event on Saturday, Saturday morning, 8am at deep pet
- 10:06Speaker 1: hotel in Scottsdale is cars and canines. That's where love
- 10:11Speaker 1: pup is hosting this thing. We've got dog rescues. We've
- 10:13Speaker 1: got a handful of dog rescues going to set up.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It's beautiful. The weather's going to be great. And then
- 10:17Speaker 1: we have cars, like lots of like fancy cars, like
- 10:20Speaker 1: Rolls Royces, McLarens, Lamborghinis, all kinds of cars set up.
- 10:25Speaker 1: And they're all where you can just walk up and
- 10:27Speaker 1: down the aisles and take a look at these cars.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And some of them you can sit in. It's really cool.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So that starts at 8 a.m. this Friday. Then after
- 10:34Speaker 1: that Saturday, I'm sorry, this Saturday, then after that at
- 10:38Speaker 1: five o'clock, At Sanderson Ford is Trunk or Treat, which
- 10:41Speaker 1: is fantastic. You bring the family down. Priscilla's going to
- 10:44Speaker 1: be there. Kiss Crew's going to be there. Trunk or Treat, candy,
- 10:46Speaker 1: lots of candy. There's face painting, bounce houses, all that.
- 10:49Speaker 1: So that's at five in Glendale. Okay, we're going to
- 10:53Speaker 1: play Minute to Win It. What's up, Matt? You're on
- 10:55Speaker 1: the air. How are you?
- 10:57Speaker 3: Good. How are you guys doing?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Matt, tell us a fun fact about yourself.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Fun fact about myself.
- 11:05Speaker 3: I am an AMC Stubs A-list member.
- 11:07Speaker 2: So, I mean, I'm pretty popular in society.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Oh, come on now.
- 11:12Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Yes, I'm ready.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Ready to go. That is awesome.
- 11:17Speaker 3: You mean AMC? It's always in the holster.
- 11:19Speaker 1: That's the movie theater, right?
- 11:20Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I have a big, I have a,
- 11:23Speaker 1: there's a good debate, I think, in my own head
- 11:25Speaker 1: about Harkins popcorn and AMC popcorn. They're both good.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Yeah, they both are really good.
- 11:30Speaker 1: But all right, man.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Harkins is the better popcorn.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Yeah, because you get to put your own butter on
- 11:34Speaker 6: the top, too.
- 11:34Speaker 1: And it's local.
- 11:35Speaker 8: Yep, yep.
- 11:37Speaker 1: All right. Hey, did you go see that Digger movie
- 11:39Speaker 1: by chance since you're an AMC cardholder?
- 11:42Speaker 2: I did not, no. I had some friends that went
- 11:45Speaker 2: to go see it, and I just didn't get a
- 11:46Speaker 2: chance to, no.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I've talked to two people that have seen it.
- 11:49Speaker 2: And?
- 11:49Speaker 1: And they say that it's probably going to win an
- 11:51Speaker 1: Academy Award.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Really?
- 11:53Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's very niche.
- 11:55Speaker 5: My sister went and saw it and said she walked
- 11:56Speaker 5: out because she did not enjoy it.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I guess there's a point where you want to walk out,
- 12:00Speaker 1: and if you don't walk out, it changes. And you go, oh,
- 12:03Speaker 1: it's what I've heard. I know, it's a bummer, right?
- 12:06Speaker 1: But I've heard about it. All right, Matt, let's play
- 12:09Speaker 1: You Got a Thousand Bucks. Let's go.
- 12:10Speaker 9: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 12:13Speaker 9: Peoria Ford right now.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Minute to win it.
- 12:17Speaker 4: 60 seconds on the clock, Matt. Let's go. What candy
- 12:20Speaker 4: bar tells you to give me a break?
- 12:23Speaker 3: Kit Kat.
- 12:26Speaker 4: What actor played Captain America in the Marvel movies?
- 12:30Speaker 3: Chris Evans.
- 12:31Speaker 4: What NBA superstar is nicknamed King James?
- 12:35Speaker 2: LeBron James.
- 12:37Speaker 4: In what year did Arizona get its statehood?
- 12:40Speaker 1: 1914.
- 12:47Speaker 5: That's not it. That's not right.
- 12:50Speaker 4: 1912. Oh, February 14th, right? February 14th, 1912.
- 12:53Speaker 5: Oh, man, I had high hopes. I was getting the
- 12:57Speaker 5: 14th in the 2012.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Is that something we're supposed to know? Yeah. I'm impressed.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I would have never got that. You both would have
- 13:03Speaker 1: got that, right?
- 13:04Speaker 6: Wow. I said 1904, so no.
- 13:07Speaker 5: I just knew it was on the 14th of February.
- 13:09Speaker 5: I do remember when we had like the 100.
- 13:11Speaker 3: I got the 14th and the 12th.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Well, Matt, you get Del Taco gift card.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Yay.
- 13:17Speaker 1: We'll take it.
- 13:17Speaker 5: We'll take it.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Go get Del Taco, then go see a movie.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. All day.
- 13:22Speaker 8: Thank you, guys.
- 13:22Speaker 1: You got it, man. Hold on.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Wow.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I am so impressed that that was something like, first
- 13:26Speaker 1: of all, that you put it on there because I
- 13:27Speaker 1: was like, that's got to be way hard. There's no
- 13:29Speaker 1: way I'm out. And then you guys, that's just top
- 13:30Speaker 1: of knowledge. Top of knowledge.
- 13:33Speaker 5: Top of mind.
- 13:35Speaker 4: I like top of knowledge.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Top of knowledge.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Sure.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Put that in there. I think that's fine.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Top of knowledge.
- 13:39Speaker 5: That's great.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Today's a very special day today. today is october.
- 13:48Speaker 3: 13th national no bra day national no.
- 13:51Speaker 6: Bra day i'm not wearing a bra created for breast
- 13:55Speaker 6: cancer awareness i'm.
- 13:56Speaker 5: Not wearing a bra today.
- 13:58Speaker 3: When i see you have a couple of good points.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Too and i'm not wearing a bra very good points
- 14:03Speaker 2: you got good points don't you.
- 14:04Speaker 8: Tell i'm not wearing a bra yes you have a
- 14:06Speaker 8: good point it's showtime no bra day today that's weird
- 14:12Speaker 8: how that's made like news a lot i.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Know It's the first year that I've heard of this.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Do we do it every year?
- 14:20Speaker 1: I guess so. My dad used to do this thing
- 14:21Speaker 1: where he would be like, whenever my mom and my
- 14:24Speaker 1: sister were like stressed or whatever, he'd be like, take
- 14:26Speaker 1: off your bra, put your feet up. And they would
- 14:32Speaker 1: do it and they'd feel better. So it must work
- 14:35Speaker 1: because it's a holiday.
- 14:36Speaker 5: I know a lot of people, that's the first thing
- 14:37Speaker 5: they do when they get home. I like to keep
- 14:40Speaker 5: the babies supported.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Makes sense.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Just to keep with the theme of dating, there's a
- 14:47Speaker 1: video going viral. This woman's going viral for sharing her
- 14:49Speaker 1: story of being stood up and asking Bumble to cover
- 14:54Speaker 1: the $ 100 she lost, including two Ubers and a drink.
- 14:57Speaker 1: She says they owe her for having trash men on
- 15:00Speaker 1: their app. This is her talking about it.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Well, guys, this might be a first.
- 15:04Speaker 9: I might be getting stood up. 9 30 he called
- 15:07Speaker 9: me at 9 0 7 it's like oh i'm a
- 15:08Speaker 9: block away clearly was lying oh and the fact that
- 15:11Speaker 9: i ordered a shrimp cocktail and a drink and now
- 15:13Speaker 9: i'm gonna have to pay for that myself for nothing
- 15:15Speaker 9: for me to sit here oh my god you guys
- 15:18Speaker 9: i just tried to call him to let him know
- 15:20Speaker 9: like hey i'm leaving it went straight to voicemail wow
- 15:25Speaker 9: wow i just got stood up you guys i need
- 15:27Speaker 9: a break i need a break from dating it's too
- 15:29Speaker 9: much my heart can't handle it.
- 15:32Speaker 1: She kind of has a point.
- 15:32Speaker 4: I feel so bad for her.
- 15:34Speaker 5: It's not Bubba's fault. It's the dude's fault.
- 15:37Speaker 6: But she's probably like, can you vet your guys better?
- 15:40Speaker 5: How are they going to vet the guys?
- 15:42Speaker 1: Maybe they got to give them a deposit.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Or.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Maybe they have to do like a.
- 15:45Speaker 5: I don't know. Maybe there's like a rating system.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Like from people who have gone on dates with them before.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Like how Uber.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Like Uber.
- 15:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 15:53Speaker 5: Five star, three and a half.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Well, maybe Bumble.
- 15:55Speaker 5: And then you can see the rating underneath. Like when
- 15:57Speaker 5: you buy stuff on Amazon, you can see like what
- 15:59Speaker 5: people have said about the product. That's genius.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah, the app.
- 16:02Speaker 5: Take that idea, app people.
- 16:04Speaker 1: The app should charge the guy. Another way is the
- 16:06Speaker 1: guy's going to go on a date. Bumble's the women-driven app, right?
- 16:10Speaker 1: The woman picks the guy. Isn't that what it used
- 16:11Speaker 1: to be? So then if the guy agrees to go
- 16:14Speaker 1: on a date, he puts a deposit down in case
- 16:16Speaker 1: something happens. And if it doesn't happen and he screws over,
- 16:19Speaker 1: then Bumble goes, hey, Francine, here's $ 80.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Makes sense to me. If you order DoorDash and they
- 16:23Speaker 4: bring you the wrong food or don't bring you food,
- 16:25Speaker 4: you get a refund. If you're on a date, you
- 16:27Speaker 4: pay for the Uber, and your guy doesn't show up,
- 16:29Speaker 4: then he has to pay for it.
- 16:30Speaker 5: How long would you wait on a date?
- 16:33Speaker 1: It depends where I am. If I'm having fun. I
- 16:35Speaker 1: was going to say. I feel like.
- 16:36Speaker 5: Or you just end up eating by yourself eventually. What
- 16:38Speaker 5: did you just say?
- 16:39Speaker 4: I feel like I've waited about an hour and a
- 16:40Speaker 4: half before. That's a long time.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Loser.
- 16:42Speaker 4: No, I would be out on that. Well, she actually
- 16:44Speaker 4: showed up. She just went. We were meeting at like
- 16:46Speaker 4: a place called Fox and the Hound. It was like
- 16:48Speaker 4: a pool place. And she showed up at one way
- 16:50Speaker 4: across town. She got the wrong one.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Oh, that's different.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I would maybe. I would make 35 minutes.
- 16:57Speaker 5: Oh, see, I feel like that's longer than that.
- 16:58Speaker 4: That's pretty long.
- 16:59Speaker 6: 20 minutes is a long time when you're looking at
- 17:01Speaker 6: the clock. But it takes me about that long to
- 17:03Speaker 6: like sit down and have a cocktail. So, you know,
- 17:05Speaker 6: you would drink one cocktail. I would have one drink
- 17:07Speaker 6: and then I'd probably be out of there.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Well, also, would you text the person? Where are you?
- 17:12Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Like if they didn't respond, then I'd be gone.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:15Speaker 5: What if they did respond? But then how much longer
- 17:17Speaker 5: would you wait if you're like.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Let's say you're there for.
- 17:20Speaker 5: 20 minutes and you text and you say, where are you? Oh,
- 17:23Speaker 5: I'm on my way. I'm so sorry. I'm running late.
- 17:25Speaker 5: How much longer would you wait?
- 17:28Speaker 1: I would probably wait a couple more minutes to go,
- 17:29Speaker 1: how long before you're here? If they go 15 minutes,
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'd be like, okay, I got to wait. But if
- 17:32Speaker 1: they're like this lady where they just keep blowing them
- 17:34Speaker 1: off at some point.
- 17:35Speaker 4: That's not cool because he's like, hey, I'm just down
- 17:36Speaker 4: the street, which means two minutes, three minutes away.
- 17:39Speaker 1: He's a jerk. Yeah. Kristen, thanks for holding. What's going on?
- 17:44Speaker 7: Hey, so I've got a story for you guys. The
- 17:46Speaker 7: dumbest fight that I've ever had.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:50Speaker 7: So I was in high school. I was a senior.
- 17:52Speaker 7: My brother was a junior. We are driving home from
- 17:55Speaker 7: school and it takes an hour to get from school
- 17:58Speaker 7: to our house. And he wanted the AC on. It
- 18:02Speaker 7: was in the middle of the summer. And I wanted
- 18:05Speaker 7: the AC off. And just because he was in the
- 18:07Speaker 7: front seat, he thought he was entitled to the AC.
- 18:10Speaker 7: So he turned it on. I turned it off. We
- 18:13Speaker 7: did this for like five, 10 minutes. And finally, he
- 18:16Speaker 7: was just like, well, fine, I'll turn the heater on.
- 18:18Speaker 7: So he turned the heater on full blast. And I
- 18:21Speaker 7: was like, oh, well, that's fine with me.
- 18:22Speaker 3: I can deal with the heat.
- 18:23Speaker 7: So we drove almost a full hour in the summer
- 18:27Speaker 7: with the heater on full blast in my car. He
- 18:29Speaker 7: went to roll the windows down and I was like, no,
- 18:32Speaker 7: you get no window privilege. And so I locked the
- 18:34Speaker 7: windows so he can roll them down. And my poor
- 18:37Speaker 7: cousin is in the backseat and has to endure the
- 18:41Speaker 7: fight that we're having. We pull up to my house finally,
- 18:44Speaker 7: you know, the hour later and they bail out of
- 18:47Speaker 7: the car. they both look like they've been through the
- 18:50Speaker 7: hardest workout of their lives. My dad's like, what happened?
- 18:53Speaker 7: And I'm like, they thought they could touch my buttons.
- 18:55Speaker 7: Don't touch my button. After that, after that, my brother
- 19:01Speaker 7: stopped messing with my AC.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Well, Kristen, thanks for sharing that with us. And thanks
- 19:06Speaker 1: for listening.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely.
- 19:09Speaker 7: You guys are awesome.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Kind of remind me of the story of my mom.
- 19:11Speaker 1: My mom told me she grew up in this little
- 19:13Speaker 1: town in Mexico called Santana. And she had a friend that,
- 19:17Speaker 1: didn't have air conditioning, but he would drive with the
- 19:20Speaker 1: windows rolled up and it was 120 because he wanted
- 19:22Speaker 1: people to think he had air conditioning. Oh, poor guy.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 19:26Speaker 4: That's a forger. He must have AC in that car.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Probably nobody's even looking, right? Nobody's looking at all.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Get out of the car, sweat pits and everything. My
- 19:33Speaker 1: mom would be like, what's going on? Everyone thinks I
- 19:34Speaker 1: have air conditioning.
- 19:35Speaker 4: That's horrible.
