- 0:49Speaker 1: Lumbe your eyes and make yourself comfortable. Take a deep
- 0:55breath in through your nose mhm, and slowly and gently
- 1:02breathe out through your mouth. Again, take a deep breath
- 1:10in through your nose and slowly and gently breathe out
- 1:16through your mouth. One more time. Deep breath in through
- 1:24your nose and slowly and gently breathe out through your mouth. Fantastic,
- 1:33You're doing really really well. Imagine that your feet feel
- 1:41all floppy and loose, but very very relaxed, almost as
- 1:47if the falling asleep by themselves. And now all of
- 1:52your body feels the same way too, all floppy and loose,
- 2:00and you're so relaxed, but you feel ever so happy. Now,
- 2:07imagine that you have roots growing out from the soles
- 2:10of your feet, roots that look just like the roots
- 2:14of a tree, very long and very nobly. And you
- 2:20can hear your roots growing through the ground, and you
- 2:25can hear them as they push their way through the soil,
- 2:29and it tickles a little bit. Can you feel it?
- 2:34Can you feel the soil under your feet? Can you
- 2:38hear it? This is called grounding, and this keeps your
- 2:46energy planted in the ground so that you too can
- 2:50grow big and strong, just like the tree. Now, imagine
- 2:57a beautiful white light that's your whole body, a light
- 3:03so bright that you shine much brighter than the brighter star.
- 3:10But it doesn't hurt you to look at it. And
- 3:13this beautiful, pure white light is always protecting you, and
- 3:18it's with you always, even if you can't see it,
- 3:21It's always there. Now, imagine that you're standing on a
- 3:28bright pink path and it feels very soft as you
- 3:33begin to walk on it, and as you walk, it
- 3:38feels like your feet are sticking to it a little bit,
- 3:41how strange. So you keep walking. You look ahead of
- 3:47you and you see that the path is a bit windy,
- 3:51it's not straight at all, and you wonder where it leads,
- 3:56so you decide to follow it and see. And as
- 4:00you walk, you notice the tall trees swaying gently in
- 4:05the breeze, and you can hear the sounds of the
- 4:08birds singing to each other. You can even hear some
- 4:12small animals scurrying in the grass, and you wonder what
- 4:15they're doing. You think that they're probably looking for something
- 4:19to eat, and maybe just having fun playing with their friends.
- 4:23You can't see them now, they're moving far too quickly.
- 4:29You follow the path as it sneaks through the trees,
- 4:33and they are so tall, these trees, that you can't
- 4:36see the top of them. But you can see the
- 4:39sunshine breaking through the tops of the branches though, and
- 4:43it almost looks like stars shining in the daylight as
- 4:47it peeks out through the highest branches. Suddenly you come
- 4:54across a bright, pink fence with a gate in the
- 4:57middle of it. A sign on the gate, and it says,
- 5:02please enter if you want to have the best night's sleep. Ever,
- 5:07you think that sounds like a very good idea. Indeed,
- 5:12the fence and the gate are made of the same
- 5:15stuff that the path is made of. Can you think
- 5:18to yourself that the more you look at the fence
- 5:20and the gate and the path, it kind of looks
- 5:24like icing, sticky, gooey icing. Well, that would explain why
- 5:31your feet have been feeling like they were sticking to
- 5:33the path, now, wouldn't it. You open the gate and
- 5:38walk through. On the other side of the gate is
- 5:43something quite amazing. You can see a big blue lake
- 5:50and it has an island in the middle of it.
- 5:54The pink, sticky, gooey path is still there, and it
- 5:57leads down to the water's edge, where there's a little
- 5:59bow waiting just for you. You hurry down the path,
- 6:05feeling ever so excited now, and as you've reached the
- 6:07little boat, you see that someone is waiting for you.
- 6:11That someone is a very cheeky monkey with a big
- 6:14grin on his face, and he says, come on, now,
- 6:17come on, I've been waiting for you. The monkey has
- 6:22on a striped green and yellow T shirt, bright range
- 6:26short and a big purple hat with a feather sticking
- 6:28out of it. He's very colorful. You happily jump into
- 6:34the boat and sit down next to the monkey, whose
- 6:37name is Sausage, by the way. He says this is
- 6:40because he just loves sausages. He has them for his breakfast,
- 6:47he has them for his lunch, he has them for
- 6:50his dinner. He even has them for a bedtime snack too.
- 6:55My word, at a lot of sausages, no wonder. They
- 6:59call him Sausage, and you think that if he keeps
- 7:02eating that many sausages, he'll start to look like one.
- 7:08Now that you've settled in your seat, Sausage begins to row.
- 7:13He is really quite strong, and he seems to be
- 7:16rowing very quickly, indeed, because within minutes you've arrived at
- 7:21the island in the middle of the lake. He jump
- 7:24out of the boat and turned to thank Sausage for
- 7:26bringing you here. But he's already off. He's rowing again.
- 7:31He shouts goodbye, but carries on rowing. Wow, he really
- 7:34does row fast. He's halfway across the lake already. You
- 7:40take a good look around you, and what you see
- 7:43is wonderful. The whole island. Well, it looks like everything's
- 7:48made of sweets. Oh like, I like sweets. There is
- 7:55icing all over the ground and it's very spongy. The
- 7:59trees have made of sweets. The flowers are made of sweets.
- 8:04And there are massive doughnuts all over the place. Doughnuts, yeah,
- 8:08big donuts. Doughnut with blue icing, yellow icing, chocolate icing,
- 8:15every kind of icing. They're everywhere. And it's then you
- 8:21see another sign, and this sign says this is where
- 8:25the sleepy donuts live. So please don't shout, thank you
- 8:30sleepy donuts. Who on earth could they be? Wonder As
- 8:36you take a close look around, you see that all
- 8:39the doughnuts are actually asleep. Some are sleeping in hammocks,
- 8:46some are sleeping on bean bags, and some of them
- 8:49are just sitting propped up by the trees and are
- 8:51quietly snoring as this lumber. Oh wow, you think this
- 8:55place is so fabulous. You walk quietly aroun, taking care
- 9:01not to wake the sleeping doughnuts, and soon you come
- 9:04across a little house. Now, this house is made of licorice,
- 9:09red licorice. It has a marshmallow chimney. It has sponge
- 9:15cake windows, and its roof is made of toffees, lots
- 9:19and lots of toffees. Ooh, look, ever, some eyes. It
- 9:25has flowers all around it, and they are all made
- 9:29of sweets, sweets of every kind. How fantastic is that?
- 9:37As you stand there looking at the amazing little house,
- 9:41you hear a voice call your name, and it says,
- 9:44come in. I've been waiting for you. Arrive. Sash's told
- 9:47me you were coming. You've no idea how Sausage could
- 9:51have told him you were coming. Maybe he had a
- 9:54mobile phone let him know that way. You walk inside
- 10:00and you see before you another great big donut. This
- 10:04one is all covered in pink icing, and he has
- 10:08the most amazing, sleepy brown eyes with the kindest smile.
- 10:14You have ever seen. He crims at you and tells
- 10:18you his name is Cecil, and this is Doughnut Island.
- 10:23He already knows your name. He tells you that this
- 10:26is the place to come if you want to have
- 10:29a wonderful night's sleep. You look around the little house
- 10:34and you see that it's enchanting. It has a little
- 10:38log fire burning brightly and giving off the most wonderful glow.
- 10:42It has doughnut shaped bean bags everywhere, and there are
- 10:47little lamps in each corner of the room, and there's
- 10:50a big old bookcase filled with all the stories that
- 10:53you love best. Cecel tells you to take a seat
- 10:58in one of the beanbags, so you choose the most
- 11:02comfiest one and sit down. Oh my, you think you
- 11:08could go to sleep right now. It's so comfy. It's
- 11:11like this beanbag was made to fit your body. Cecil
- 11:16hands you a great big mug of hot chocolate to drink.
- 11:20It has marshmallows in it, and it has lovely thick,
- 11:24squirty cream on the top of it. Hmm, and it
- 11:28smells lovely. You take a sip, and it really is delicious.
- 11:34It makes you feel all warm and tingly inside. Then
- 11:39Cecil tells you that everyone that comes here, they come
- 11:43to have a nap or to have a great night's sleep.
- 11:47He asks you which one you would like, so you
- 11:50tell him you would like a great night's sleep. Cecil
- 11:56tells you that he can help you to sleep. He
- 11:59tells you the hero make sure that this would be
- 12:02your best night's sleep ever. First, he gives you a
- 12:08marshmallow pillow. First, he gives you a marshmallow pillow for
- 12:14your head and he can rest it. Then he places
- 12:18a marshmallow blanket on you that is so soft and
- 12:22squishy you can already feel yourself getting sleepy. Cecil picks
- 12:28up a little bag and puts his hand inside, and
- 12:32he tells you it's full of stardust, twinkling beautiful star dust,
- 12:39and he takes some of it out with his hand
- 12:41and he sprinkles it all over your head. Oh my,
- 12:46you feel your eyes closing, You begin to feel your
- 12:49feet falling asleep. Cecil tells you it's time to rest now,
- 12:56after all, that is what you came here for. You
- 13:01are all snuggled up when your being back now with
- 13:05your marshmallow pillow and your marshmallow blanket. Feeling all yummy
- 13:11inside with your hot chocolate drink, and your breathing started
- 13:17to slow down, and your little eyes don't want to open.
- 13:24You can feel yourself drifting to sleep. You can hear
- 13:31Cecil's voice quietly in the background. You have no idea
- 13:36what he's saying. You only know that you feel so
- 13:42safe and so loved that she drift deeper and deeper
- 13:48into a lovely night's sleep such as sleep now. And
- 13:55with Cecil's help, you will have the sweetest dream. I played,
