Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on relatables was the bare minimum for the
- 0:02Speaker 1: modern man being there for cuddle time.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Oh I like that as much as we aren't.
- 0:10Speaker 1: I mean, I actually like so.
- 0:13Speaker 3: The bare minimum for the modern woman is it's okay
- 0:15Speaker 3: to be the big experience.
- 0:16Speaker 4: Sometimes you are listening to relatables.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Welcome back, everybody to another episode today. I am joined
- 0:38Speaker 1: on my right by my better looking, shorter mister Jake Craig.
- 0:45Speaker 3: That's started so good, And to my left is the
- 0:49Speaker 3: non car door opening for his girlfriend Oddie Clark.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Hey, don't expose me straight, I would like to point
- 0:59Speaker 1: out they don't.
- 1:01Speaker 5: We went out for dinner.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Oddie, my girlfriend. Sorry, yeah, Oddie, his girlfriend, me, my girlfriend,
- 1:09Speaker 3: and some other friends.
- 1:10Speaker 6: We were leaving, okay, I could see. I could see
- 1:14Speaker 6: them going to their car, and I could see that
- 1:16Speaker 6: he had forgotten, although he never does it, he had
- 1:20Speaker 6: forgotten to open her door for her. And then as
- 1:22Speaker 6: soon as I noticed she was going to have to
- 1:23Speaker 6: open it, it was too late.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I had to.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Called him out. That's how did to help you?
- 1:29Speaker 3: I did, Yeah, so you jump in and open it
- 1:31Speaker 3: through the other side, you fucking cheat?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Still did it?
- 1:37Speaker 5: Wow?
- 1:38Speaker 1: I do do it when I pick it up in
- 1:39Speaker 1: her house because it's like I remember, because as we're
- 1:41Speaker 1: walking out of her house.
- 1:42Speaker 5: You get out, Yeah, you see her card office her
- 1:45Speaker 5: card off.
- 1:45Speaker 3: First, I would like to point out that we went
- 1:50Speaker 3: and picked up a puppy, yes the other day, and.
- 1:55Speaker 2: We didn't take my car.
- 1:56Speaker 3: So my car, I drive a little tiny car do
- 1:58Speaker 3: I didn't want to drive a three hours on the
- 2:00Speaker 3: freeway and but my car doesn't doesn't have the clickie fob.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I have to go manually, and so it works in
- 2:05Speaker 3: my advantage because I always remember to open the door
- 2:07Speaker 3: for her.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Okay, But we used my girlfriend's.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Dad's car, and the first, like the morning we were leaving,
- 2:16Speaker 3: was the first time we were getting in it. I
- 2:18Speaker 3: went over and I realized. I was like, oh, I
- 2:19Speaker 3: can open it from here. And I opened it and
- 2:22Speaker 3: I had forgot. I was about to go open my
- 2:24Speaker 3: door and I forgot, and she also had like forgotten,
- 2:27Speaker 3: but I don't know how I did. I quickly locked
- 2:29Speaker 3: it again and she tried to open it and it
- 2:31Speaker 3: would so I went around.
- 2:32Speaker 5: I was like, just be patient, and.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So she didn't even know you forgot. I was about
- 2:38Speaker 1: to say, your key technique is kind of a cop out.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Is it though, because I don't forget no.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Because you have to do it anyway. You have to
- 2:45Speaker 1: unlock her car.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Now, if I unlock my door, it opens all the doors.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Oh okay, so I can open So I do still
- 2:51Speaker 3: go open her door first.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Okay, I'll give you that.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yeah, how fun.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I'll get better. But today I wanted to start things
- 3:02Speaker 1: with what's the bare minimum for the modern man?
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:06Speaker 1: And I thought, because things are changing in society, the
- 3:10Speaker 1: standard for men is very different. Yeah, so I thought
- 3:13Speaker 1: we could compose a bit of a list to help
- 3:14Speaker 1: the dudes out there.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I think that I think there's there is some some
- 3:18Speaker 3: women out there that are saying like, no, no, no.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I need I need more than the bare minimum.
- 3:23Speaker 3: All right, So we would like to give you, guys,
- 3:25Speaker 3: guys and girls the bare minimum, so you know that
- 3:28Speaker 3: that's what you deserve.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And more exactly. Yeah, you want to start on me,
- 3:33Speaker 1: you go first. Okay, what's the bare minimum for the
- 3:36Speaker 1: modern man? Planning romantic dates? Often? Hey, I like that simple.
- 3:41Speaker 2: It's not hard.
- 3:42Speaker 1: It's not hard.
- 3:43Speaker 3: It's really okay if you really think about it. Yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 3: some guys are just like, oh, I don't like doing that.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I mean I think, who doesn't actually enjoy going out for.
- 3:51Speaker 2: A nice dinner?
- 3:52Speaker 1: And you're also not doing it for them?
- 3:54Speaker 3: Yeah, you're not doing it for yourself for them, And
- 3:57Speaker 3: this is what you do TikTok nice nice restaurants wherever
- 4:02Speaker 3: you live in my area.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Someone's made a.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Video about it online book two weeks, five minutes maximum.
- 4:10Speaker 1: And who doesn't like nice food?
- 4:12Speaker 5: I love the.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Act of actually going out, getting dressed.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Up together, looking good together, Yeah, gassing each other.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 4:21Speaker 3: I've got a couple. I've got a few simple ones
- 4:23Speaker 3: and a few like a little bit more intricate. But
- 4:24Speaker 3: I'm gonna go simple first, the bare minimum for the
- 4:27Speaker 3: modern man.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Buy her flowers?
- 4:29Speaker 1: Love it?
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:30Speaker 5: Simple?
- 4:31Speaker 1: And again I've got the similar one I said, grocery shopping.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Flowers are little gifts here and there randomly, just pick
- 4:37Speaker 1: them up. It's not hard, it's not hard at all.
- 4:39Speaker 5: And it's always like, yeah, but what's she gonna get me?
- 4:40Speaker 2: What's the guy version of flowers?
- 4:41Speaker 5: You know what? Fucking nothing? We don't need that ship.
- 4:47Speaker 1: That's a great point.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Honestly, we've done it before. We've asked everyone what's the
- 4:51Speaker 5: guy with fucking nothing?
- 4:53Speaker 1: Just fair? I like that one. What's the bare minimum
- 4:58Speaker 1: for the modern man? Being an emotiontional outlet for your girl?
- 5:01Speaker 3: Oh, when she's venting, no logical solutions, all right, no
- 5:09Speaker 3: logical solutions, be there emotionally yes, be there emotionally bare
- 5:13Speaker 3: minimum for the modern man. Look at what face creams
- 5:17Speaker 3: and other ship she uses? All right, and buy her
- 5:19Speaker 3: a double to have in your bathroom.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Wow, pack atoletry's bag all the time.
- 5:25Speaker 1: That's so smart, that's all. Imagine you did that.
- 5:30Speaker 3: And then in your bathroom she's you're at her house,
- 5:32Speaker 3: maybe she's packing a bag to come to your house,
- 5:34Speaker 3: and you're and she's and she's packing up. You're like, well,
- 5:36Speaker 3: you don't need that. You don't need that, you don't
- 5:38Speaker 3: need that. She's like why, and she's like, I have
- 5:39Speaker 3: it at my house for you.
- 5:41Speaker 1: The only thing with that sometimes it's very very expensive
- 5:44Speaker 1: that stuff.
- 5:44Speaker 5: I'm talking just like face creams, like face wash.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I would even just say toothbrush and toothpaste.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Stuff like that. Yeah, just simple things. I wouldn't go. Look,
- 5:51Speaker 2: I'm thinking like if it's if it's over thirty bucks,
- 5:54Speaker 2: if you.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Really loves it, some of those creams get us like
- 5:58Speaker 1: two hundred dollars.
- 5:59Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Yeah, you got that kills. Shit, I'm not paying I'm
- 6:04Speaker 5: not playing for kills.
- 6:06Speaker 1: What's the bare minimum for the modern man? Kind of
- 6:09Speaker 1: goes in hand with the last one. Being in touch
- 6:11Speaker 1: with your emotions. Yeah, being able to talk about how
- 6:14Speaker 1: you feel. Yeah, that's a big struggle for a lot
- 6:17Speaker 1: of guys.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Actually, yeah, sometimes it's a little scary. I think the
- 6:22Speaker 3: biggest thing for me is the one thing that makes
- 6:25Speaker 3: me not want to talk about feelings, Like, one of
- 6:26Speaker 3: the biggest things is that I just.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I'm so I'm.
- 6:31Speaker 3: A little bit scared about how they will react because
- 6:35Speaker 3: I don't want to word it improperly.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Oh you know what I mean, not being able to
- 6:40Speaker 2: articulate it. I don't want to. I don't ever want
- 6:42Speaker 2: to be like, oh you do this.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I might even changed being in touch with your feelings
- 6:46Speaker 1: to trying to be in touch with your feelings.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I think it's the effort in trying to talk about
- 6:50Speaker 1: your feelings and they should appreciate that even if you
- 6:52Speaker 1: do spit it out wrong.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah, agreed, agreed. Bare minimum for the modern man, when.
- 6:58Speaker 5: At a restaurant pull her chair out for her is
- 7:01Speaker 5: that it that's it.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Yeah, just agree, gentlemen, be a gentleman and pulled the chair.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Agree. What is it when you're growing up as a dude.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I don't know what goes on in your mind. It's
- 7:11Speaker 1: not Is it not cool? Like when I was eighteen
- 7:13Speaker 1: nineteen twenty, There's no way in the world I'll be
- 7:15Speaker 1: doing something like that. Is it because I'm not confident?
- 7:17Speaker 1: I honestly think it's because I didn't know. But I
- 7:20Speaker 1: knew the thing of romantics, Like you pull the chair.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I knew the chair.
- 7:23Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever been afraid to do that.
- 7:25Speaker 3: I think I just always forget. I've never I've never
- 7:28Speaker 3: thought that. I think I was afraid. No, I was afraid.
- 7:31Speaker 3: I don't think I was never afraid. I was just
- 7:32Speaker 3: always I just forgot it.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's funny.
- 7:35Speaker 3: It's also a little bit awkward as well, because it's like,
- 7:37Speaker 3: so when you pull it out and she sits down,
- 7:40Speaker 3: do you then.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Help her push it back in or do you just
- 7:42Speaker 5: let her screoch in on her own.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I've seen Russ from friends do it and he like
- 7:46Speaker 1: skeoches you back in and it looks so awkward. We
- 7:48Speaker 1: don't want to be like, what's the bare minimum for
- 7:52Speaker 1: the modern man? Being there for cuddle time?
- 7:56Speaker 2: Oh I like that as much as we aren't.
- 8:00Speaker 5: I mean, I actually like light cuddle so.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm hidden miss. Yeah, I'm sometimes there for it, sometimes not,
- 8:05Speaker 1: but being there for them because they like cut of time.
- 8:08Speaker 1: It's sort of the thing they grow funder when they're together. Yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 1: it's in those moments of cuddling, whereas where grow funder
- 8:14Speaker 1: when we're apart.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, agreed, agreed, I do agree with you.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I'm a big fan of though, Like I don't know,
- 8:20Speaker 3: just kind of you're a bit of a big teddy bear. Yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 3: just kind of liked, I don't know, just acting like
- 8:26Speaker 3: a baby almost like.
- 8:31Speaker 1: You should add on yours. The bare minimum for the
- 8:33Speaker 1: modern man, It's okay to be the little spoon.
- 8:36Speaker 2: It's okay to be.
- 8:39Speaker 5: The bare minimum for the modern woman. Is it's okay
- 8:41Speaker 5: to be the big spoon?
- 8:42Speaker 3: Sometimes bare minimum for the modern man. When you're done
- 8:52Speaker 3: your meal at the restaurant and she has a few
- 8:55Speaker 3: bites left because you're always going to finish before her, Yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 3: you say you need the bathroom, but you actually go
- 8:59Speaker 3: pay the bill.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yours are like just cheeky, little things that are really smart.
- 9:06Speaker 1: That's really good because normally they're like, oh, no, i'll
- 9:09Speaker 1: pay this, you want to split it, let's avoid the awkwardness.
- 9:12Speaker 3: And then like basically, when you come back from the
- 9:15Speaker 3: toilet she's done, you just like, hew, you're ready to go.
- 9:17Speaker 2: And then you get up to go and she goes,
- 9:18Speaker 2: what about the billing?
- 9:19Speaker 1: Sort of you know, that's one thing wrong with that me.
- 9:23Speaker 1: If she goes, what about the bill, I'll be like,
- 9:24Speaker 1: let's run. I just paid it, so she like, but
- 9:30Speaker 1: then I seem like a bad boy. True.
- 9:33Speaker 2: True, he also looks cheap.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Oh no, bad boy overrules. The cheapness was the bare
- 9:40Speaker 1: minimum for the modern man. Knowing what you want in your.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Future, oh boy, that's such a good point. Every guy's
- 9:48Speaker 3: kind of like, I don't know what I want. I'm
- 9:49Speaker 3: going with the flow.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Yeah, the word.
- 9:51Speaker 2: The girls don't They don't like that.
- 9:54Speaker 3: No, they just want to know that They at least
- 9:55Speaker 3: want to know if you plan to get married one day,
- 9:57Speaker 3: you want kids, and you want to buy a house
- 9:59Speaker 3: or something like, just the simple things.
- 10:01Speaker 1: And even if you don't tell them like say I
- 10:03Speaker 1: don't want to have kids, yeah, yeah, be honest. Yeah,
- 10:05Speaker 1: from the start, I don't be like, oh, I don't know,
- 10:07Speaker 1: you know, like you'll see what happens.
- 10:08Speaker 2: I actually really like that.
- 10:09Speaker 3: That's a really good one because I'm definitely guilty of
- 10:11Speaker 3: doing it in the past, Like I don't know, I don't.
- 10:13Speaker 5: Know I'm going to be in two months, I don't
- 10:14Speaker 5: know where I'm going to be in year.
- 10:16Speaker 2: You're just giving them all this like you're gonna be
- 10:18Speaker 2: with me, even.
- 10:20Speaker 1: I've never realized used to do that as well. It's like,
- 10:22Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm doing this week. Yeah, I
- 10:24Speaker 1: don't even know what to have for breakfast? Was like,
- 10:29Speaker 1: all right, bare minimum for the modern man? Tell us
- 10:34Speaker 1: she looks beautiful, Yes, you are beautiful. Tell her she
- 10:38Speaker 1: looks beautiful man, pretty beautiful, stunning, gorgeous, smart, anything like that. Yeah,
- 10:42Speaker 1: let's go intellectual as well.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Yeah, let's go smart, impressive. I'm proud of you. I'm
- 10:47Speaker 3: proud to be your boyfriend.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I'm lucky to be both. I'm lucky to be your boyfriend.
- 10:51Speaker 2: I admire you all that different stuff.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I love you. Rolls off the tongue. Dude, what's
- 10:58Speaker 1: the bare minimum for the modern man being able to
- 11:01Speaker 1: take candid photos of them without the masking.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Okay, I'm sorry.
- 11:04Speaker 5: I would like to say, yes, that is something that
- 11:09Speaker 5: you should be able to do.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Try again with the try at least it's the effort
- 11:15Speaker 3: being put in.
- 11:15Speaker 2: That they will like.
- 11:16Speaker 3: They will like the effort. And if they say, oh,
- 11:20Speaker 3: what are you taking photos for? Maybe and like just
- 11:22Speaker 3: be like, just say that you want.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Them for you.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Because I have a theory and I'm really sticking to
- 11:28Speaker 3: it that girls tell you that the photos you take
- 11:32Speaker 3: are bad and you have to take a million of
- 11:33Speaker 3: them purely because you're a boy and social media has
- 11:36Speaker 3: told them the boys can't take photos. I tend to agree,
- 11:39Speaker 3: because I swear to God, what I really want to
- 11:42Speaker 3: do is get me to take a photo her best
- 11:45Speaker 3: friend to take a photo, all right, the exact same one,
- 11:48Speaker 3: all right, and I want and she's gonna like the
- 11:51Speaker 3: best friends one for some reason, and she's gonna hate mine,
- 11:55Speaker 3: exact same photo.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Bare minimum for the modern man. Send her funny memes.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Yes, yes, it's like another level to the relationship, and
- 12:05Speaker 1: and reply to her.
- 12:08Speaker 3: You should have put that one. Reply to her memes
- 12:10Speaker 3: another one bare minim for the modern man. When she
- 12:14Speaker 3: sends you a text message of two questions in a row.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Answer both of them. Don't just answer the most recent one.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Have you been caught out doing that?
- 12:23Speaker 2: Yes?
- 12:24Speaker 5: I fucking suck at that.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I need to answer both because on text on my message,
- 12:29Speaker 1: you can like click up the thing reply to this one.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I'm pretty look, I'm pretty good at it.
- 12:34Speaker 5: I'm good at it.
- 12:35Speaker 2: The person I'm not good at it with is my sister.
- 12:37Speaker 2: So at least it doesn't matter.
- 12:46Speaker 1: What's the bare minimum for the modern man making an
- 12:49Speaker 1: effort with their friends, Oh, to know them ship.
- 12:53Speaker 2: That's a good one, I would say, I'm I lack
- 12:55Speaker 2: in that area.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I think so too a little bit. It's just like,
- 12:58Speaker 1: as a guy, I can definitely do better. It's just
- 13:01Speaker 1: like I don't know, just I don't know why we
- 13:04Speaker 1: don't do it. Yeah, I don't have an answer.
- 13:06Speaker 3: I kind of want just making an effort of you
- 13:09Speaker 3: want to be part of their life.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I guess it's not just being there, being present.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Yeah, if they have no friends and come lucky, I'm
- 13:19Speaker 3: the only friend.
- 13:21Speaker 2: My last one is bare minimum for the modern man.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Just use your brain.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Use just in the situation you're in, just just use
- 13:32Speaker 3: your brain.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Please.
- 13:33Speaker 1: It's there for a reason.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you have it for a reason. You know right
- 13:36Speaker 2: from wrong.
- 13:37Speaker 3: You know what's disrespectful, you know what's going to make
- 13:40Speaker 3: her happy, you know what's going to make her sad.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Just use it.
- 13:43Speaker 1: That's funny. Jake's last one was kind of very responsible. Yeah,
- 13:47Speaker 1: my one, on the other hand, what's the bare minimum
- 13:50Speaker 1: for the modern man being able to make each other finish?
- 13:58Speaker 5: Oh?
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah, hopefully, hopefully, try try That's all you can do. Okay?
- 14:15Speaker 1: Up next is girl next door or man eater? Jake,
- 14:19Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you to clarify what is a
- 14:21Speaker 1: man eater? What is a man eater? Okay?
- 14:23Speaker 3: A man eater is someone that looks like they're gonna
- 14:26Speaker 3: eat you up, spit you out, and break your heart.
- 14:28Speaker 2: All right, That's what a man eater is.
- 14:30Speaker 1: And the girl next door is a.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Girl next door is like I would say, you know
- 14:35Speaker 3: that there's a song, a Taylor Swift song where it's
- 14:37Speaker 3: like she wears shorts.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Skirts, I wear t shirts, She's.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers. In that song,
- 14:45Speaker 3: Taylor Swift is the girl next door and.
- 14:48Speaker 2: She is the man eater. The girl that she says
- 14:50Speaker 2: is she she's.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Describing and what we do on YouTube is get sending
- 14:54Speaker 1: a couple of pictures and we've got to figure out
- 14:56Speaker 1: whether or not they are a girl next door a
- 14:57Speaker 1: man eater. So if you want some visuals, on over
- 15:00Speaker 1: to YouTube. Otherwise the episode is going to be the same.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Up next is the lemmas sent in by you guys,
- 15:15Speaker 1: and this one's title is Juicy Tea Alert. Last year
- 15:20Speaker 1: my brother's twenty first I got tipsy and ended up
- 15:22Speaker 1: hooking up with a mutual friend. Before things got heated,
- 15:26Speaker 1: I asked if he still had a girlfriend and he
- 15:28Speaker 1: said no, but the next morning he confessed he had lied.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Now he occasionally messages me begging for a repeat performance
- 15:35Speaker 1: because it was in quotes so good. I've told him
- 15:41Speaker 1: to back off unless he's single, but he's been persistent
- 15:44Speaker 1: until recently. Fast forward till today. He and his girlfriend
- 15:48Speaker 1: are no longer together, but still expecting a baby in November.
- 15:53Speaker 1: So do I spill the tea and tell his girlfriend
- 15:55Speaker 1: about his antics, potentially wrecking his future family plans? Or
- 16:00Speaker 1: do I just sit on the door, she said? Or
- 16:02Speaker 1: do I just sip on the tee and stay out
- 16:04Speaker 1: of it. I have zero interest in him sexually, anymore,
- 16:07Speaker 1: But I can't help, but wonder if I'm the only
- 16:09Speaker 1: one he's been getting cozy up to. What's your take? Whoa?
- 16:15Speaker 1: We wait?
- 16:15Speaker 3: Okay, they're not together anymore, the guy and the girl.
- 16:18Speaker 1: No, but they got a baby, so like potentially there's
- 16:20Speaker 1: a family going on there.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Look, because they're not together. Depending on how it ended,
- 16:29Speaker 3: she may have caught him cheating with someone else anyway,
- 16:31Speaker 3: and it's ended, I would say, does this girl say
- 16:34Speaker 3: she knows the girl?
- 16:35Speaker 1: No?
- 16:36Speaker 2: I ah, okay?
- 16:37Speaker 1: Should she just stay out of it?
- 16:39Speaker 3: You slept with him one night out, you didn't know
- 16:40Speaker 3: we had a girlfriend, and then it come out that
- 16:43Speaker 3: he had a girlfriend. Really you kind of if you
- 16:46Speaker 3: were going to tell her, you really could have should
- 16:48Speaker 3: have told her it's yeah, exact instead.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Of waiting till now. But that she have a right
- 16:52Speaker 2: to know is.
- 16:52Speaker 1: The girlfriend who's having her baby his baby?
- 16:55Speaker 2: But I mean, because they're not together.
- 16:57Speaker 1: No, she just sit on it.
- 17:01Speaker 5: Should she sit on it again? I'm kidding, I'm kidding,
- 17:05Speaker 5: Im kidding on getting on kidding.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Should she sip on the tea as she would say.
- 17:12Speaker 2: If I was her?
- 17:13Speaker 1: Okay, so I've just had sex with this guy and
- 17:15Speaker 1: as he would say, round of applause was great, he's
- 17:22Speaker 1: asking to do it again. I'm like, no, you're taking
- 17:24Speaker 1: like this is the wrong thing to do. I found
- 17:25Speaker 1: out fast forward. I find out they've broken up and
- 17:28Speaker 1: they're having a kid together. But I feel like there's
- 17:30Speaker 1: something in me that just wants to tell this girl
- 17:32Speaker 1: what a dad of the child's going to has been doing.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Maybe maybe if you should tell her in case they
- 17:39Speaker 1: do get back together in the future, I say leave it,
- 17:43Speaker 1: you reckon, leave it.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I say leave it, because if there's a chance for
- 17:45Speaker 3: me to get back together in the future, that means
- 17:47Speaker 3: that kid's going to have a non broken family.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Good point, I would say, leave it. I am agreeing.
- 17:53Speaker 3: It's unfortunately he's a shit dude, yes, but now there's
- 17:55Speaker 3: a kid involved.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I agree the benefit of the kid. Yeah, leave it.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Definitely leave it.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Leave it. Simple as that. Okay, up next, guys. We
- 18:09Speaker 1: often preach for a man to be in touch with
- 18:12Speaker 1: their feelings and be an emotional outlet for their girl.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Yeah, and Addie and I I wouldn't say we're the
- 18:19Speaker 3: most in touch of our feelings, but we do.
- 18:20Speaker 1: We do well. We preach trying and that's what we're
- 18:23Speaker 1: going to do right now, So we're both going to
- 18:25Speaker 1: say a time when we've both been hurt in.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Life, and I would like to point out so we
- 18:32Speaker 3: get a lot of dilemmas about it. So I think
- 18:36Speaker 3: it's kind of like a cool It would be someone
- 18:39Speaker 3: that has a dilemma sitting that we may not have
- 18:40Speaker 3: read yet that's about them being hurt and maybe hearing
- 18:43Speaker 3: about us being hurt and then how we dealt with
- 18:46Speaker 3: it or how we didn't deal with it good or
- 18:49Speaker 3: or something.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yeah, yea, yeah, yeah, that's just opening up
- 18:52Speaker 1: a little bit. And hopefully I've never said mine, really
- 18:55Speaker 1: what he's going to go first? Yeah? Thanks, Okay, A
- 19:00Speaker 1: time when I've been hurt. It's quite recent really, So
- 19:04Speaker 1: I've mentioned on the podcast before that my dad has
- 19:09Speaker 1: prostate cancer and there was a period of time there
- 19:14Speaker 1: where he wasn't looking that good. And however, right now
- 19:18Speaker 1: he's actually in remission and there's not many symptoms, almost
- 19:21Speaker 1: point zero, which is really really good. But there was
- 19:23Speaker 1: a period of time there where it wasn't looking good
- 19:26Speaker 1: and on the cards were a timeframe of how long
- 19:29Speaker 1: you'd have left to live, and in my head I
- 19:32Speaker 1: was thinking there's no I was dwelling in my head
- 19:37Speaker 1: that I might lose my dad, and I don't think
- 19:39Speaker 1: there's any way, like any person can ever prepare for that.
- 19:43Speaker 1: And when I was really hurt, it was just like
- 19:46Speaker 1: thinking of what life would be like without him. So
- 19:49Speaker 1: my dilemma hasn't really happened yet, but it's something that
- 19:52Speaker 1: every person will eventually have to go through, and I
- 19:54Speaker 1: don't think they can prepare for it. And I don't
- 19:56Speaker 1: think as a son, there's probably not another man the
- 20:00Speaker 1: world I look up to rely on and he's a
- 20:03Speaker 1: shoulder to lean on other than there's no other person
- 20:06Speaker 1: I like admire one dad, Yeah, as much as my dad,
- 20:10Speaker 1: And I'd never have the I've never had the thought
- 20:12Speaker 1: before of like, what's my life going to be like
- 20:15Speaker 1: when my dad's not here?
- 20:16Speaker 2: Do you think about that? Do you know?
- 20:18Speaker 1: And I'm really really sad, And every time I think
- 20:20Speaker 1: about it even brings my eyes to a little bit
- 20:22Speaker 1: of a water because I'm.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Like, it's nearly a reality.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it was nearly a reality, and I'm not prepared
- 20:29Speaker 1: for it, and I don't think anyone ever can be
- 20:30Speaker 1: prepared for it. And I was just like, fuck, like
- 20:32Speaker 1: this is just like life, like everyone goes through it
- 20:35Speaker 1: and everyone gets through it, but like I don't want
- 20:37Speaker 1: to face that anytime.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Soon, honestly.
- 20:40Speaker 5: No.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that is inside. I feel like, can you even.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Even let's say, when you're older, do you reckon you're
- 20:46Speaker 5: ever ready for it?
- 20:48Speaker 1: That's what I thought. I was like, surely everyone's parents
- 20:50Speaker 1: die and like when they're like thirty and then it happens.
- 20:54Speaker 1: But I don't think you can prepare for it. Like
- 20:56Speaker 1: I'm twenty four almost and I'm just like twenty fourth
- 20:59Speaker 1: too early. Yeah, I think so, But it happens to
- 21:01Speaker 1: a lot of people. We've had friends who's lost their parents.
- 21:03Speaker 3: We've got yeah, we've got quite a few actually, think
- 21:07Speaker 3: like five friends, I think, so some of them have
- 21:10Speaker 3: lost their parents and then some of them have parents
- 21:12Speaker 3: with it.
- 21:13Speaker 1: And I was just I was just thinking to myself.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I was like, there's no possible way I can ever
- 21:17Speaker 1: be ready for this. No, And it made me really
- 21:20Speaker 1: sad to like what life would be like without this
- 21:22Speaker 1: man in my life?
- 21:23Speaker 2: Yeah? Fuck man.
- 21:25Speaker 1: So he's my message would takeaway. Just tell the people
- 21:28Speaker 1: around you love them and make the most of them
- 21:30Speaker 1: while they're here, because they're not here forether you prostrate checked. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:33Speaker 1: that's a good thing for men, even though we don't
- 21:34Speaker 1: have a lot of men listening get checked early. I'm
- 21:36Speaker 1: going to have to because it's genetic.
- 21:37Speaker 2: It's a genetic thing. Yeah, so when when will you
- 21:39Speaker 2: get checked?
- 21:40Speaker 1: When you get checked at thirty? But I even might
- 21:41Speaker 1: get it earlier.
- 21:42Speaker 2: I could.
- 21:42Speaker 3: I could have sworn that it was up to like fifty.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Now really I could be wrong, but all the a.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Lot of things with cancer, if you get it early,
- 21:53Speaker 1: you can treat it. You can Yeah yeah, yeah, so yeah.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Right, Well that's that's that's something you know about Audi
- 22:01Speaker 3: now this is Yeah, that's the thing. We kind of
- 22:03Speaker 3: I feel like we wanted to be some some sort
- 22:05Speaker 3: of personal on the podcast. Yeah, mine would be this is.
- 22:11Speaker 3: It's also very personal.
- 22:13Speaker 2: It's like but it's like I don't know, it's kind
- 22:15Speaker 2: of like part of I guess.
- 22:17Speaker 1: My life, and.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Like, because it also happened to me, I think it's
- 22:24Speaker 3: like I should be allowed to talk about it. I'm
- 22:28Speaker 3: going to go in like a series of events almost
- 22:31Speaker 3: so Audi and I went traveling up. I think I
- 22:35Speaker 3: think I've told you you're gonna know what I'm saying
- 22:38Speaker 3: for the first bit, and I think I have told
- 22:39Speaker 3: you the second bit. So Audi and I went traveling
- 22:44Speaker 3: up the East Coast, Australia, and.
- 22:46Speaker 2: When we left, I had a girlfriend, and.
- 22:51Speaker 3: I was just like probably pretty young, pretty dumb, pretty immature,
- 22:56Speaker 3: and I just.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Wanted to go traveling with body and then and also
- 23:01Speaker 2: didn't like want to have a timeframe and when I'd
- 23:03Speaker 2: be home.
- 23:04Speaker 3: And so this is what I was telling her as well,
- 23:06Speaker 3: Like I was, I was being pretty fucking bad boyfriend
- 23:09Speaker 3: of the sense of like I'm leaving and I don't
- 23:11Speaker 3: know when I'm coming back. And COVID was happening pretty
- 23:17Speaker 3: heavily down here where we are, and we were running
- 23:20Speaker 3: away from it almost we were getting pretty lucky. And
- 23:23Speaker 3: so we were traveling and then I stayed together for
- 23:26Speaker 3: the first couple of weeks, and then we got to
- 23:28Speaker 3: a place up near Early Beach or no, up pretty
- 23:31Speaker 3: fun north somewhere, and she ended up giving me an
- 23:35Speaker 3: ultimatum like either either come home or we're fucking breaking up,
- 23:38Speaker 3: and so I was like, well, I don't want to come.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Home, and and so then for the first so.
- 23:43Speaker 3: We broke up, and like I think I was like,
- 23:46Speaker 3: I was like sad, but also like our relationship had slowly.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Been coming to an end. Like I look back at
- 23:50Speaker 2: it now and I.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Don't like I mean, I wouldn't say a cringe, but
- 23:53Speaker 3: I just look back at it now and I'm just
- 23:54Speaker 3: like we knew, one hundred percent. We knew, and it's
- 23:58Speaker 3: just funny to think how young and we were to
- 24:00Speaker 3: hold onto it and not realize.
- 24:02Speaker 2: But this is what you're doing.
- 24:03Speaker 1: You always do that, when you hold onto it for
- 24:05Speaker 1: as long as possible.
- 24:06Speaker 2: I suppose that's just what you do.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Yeah, first love, first proper love.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I definitely thought so.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Ah So then after a few weeks of us breaking up,
- 24:18Speaker 3: I don't even know, like I was sweet for a
- 24:21Speaker 3: while and then I can't say how it happened, but
- 24:27Speaker 3: I just it's like a fucking literal switch in my
- 24:31Speaker 3: brain flicked all of a sudden, missed her, and then
- 24:36Speaker 3: I have a feeling what happened was I think she
- 24:39Speaker 3: just messaged mey saying like hey, after a couple of weeks,
- 24:41Speaker 3: like hey, how.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Are you, and the like that's what I must I
- 24:45Speaker 2: guess must have flicked the switch.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I remember, like your demeanor is a complete shift, like
- 24:49Speaker 1: it was weird, happy and bubbly like traveling and then
- 24:52Speaker 1: you're like, oh fuck, And I could see it. I
- 24:55Speaker 1: saw the change in you.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:56Speaker 3: It was just I cannot even explain it, because so
- 25:00Speaker 3: then all of a sudden, I had this feeling of
- 25:02Speaker 3: missing her and thinking I fucked up. And then and
- 25:07Speaker 3: like randomly was like I'd rather be traveling, like I
- 25:09Speaker 3: don't know, I'd rather fucking her, like fly up, I
- 25:12Speaker 3: don't know.
- 25:13Speaker 2: It was dumb.
- 25:13Speaker 3: And then and then so I called my step mom
- 25:18Speaker 3: and I was talking to her about it because I've
- 25:20Speaker 3: grown up with divorced parents, so I've had this skew
- 25:23Speaker 3: if view on it for the longest time, and like
- 25:26Speaker 3: if you're marriage and all that, and I thought that
- 25:28Speaker 3: I didn't want to be with anyone forever. I had
- 25:29Speaker 3: that whole thought process that we get dilemmas all the
- 25:31Speaker 3: time of like, oh, do I need to break up
- 25:33Speaker 3: with the person I'm with now because it doesn't really
- 25:35Speaker 3: work out when you're young in twenty and then do
- 25:37Speaker 3: I need to be alone for a while and grow
- 25:39Speaker 3: and then get in a relationship when I'm later in
- 25:40Speaker 3: my twenties and and then that's going to work out
- 25:43Speaker 3: because I have more life experience, like that's what that's
- 25:45Speaker 3: what my mindset was.
- 25:46Speaker 2: And so then I think she like I was on
- 25:48Speaker 2: the phone, my step mom was crying, and.
- 25:51Speaker 3: She was just like, hey, you just got to do
- 25:52Speaker 3: what you fucking want to do, Like if you want
- 25:54Speaker 3: to get back together, whether it just say you want
- 25:55Speaker 3: to get back together, what do whatever you want to do.
- 25:56Speaker 2: She was like, she was good about it, and so.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Then I I think, Okay, I told my girlfriend I
- 26:01Speaker 3: want to get back together. She was like, oh, I
- 26:03Speaker 3: don't know my ex girlfriend. So I told my ex
- 26:06Speaker 3: girlfriend I will get back and she's like, oh, I don't know.
- 26:08Speaker 3: And I was like, well, I'll come home and I
- 26:10Speaker 3: don't want to see you. So I had just said
- 26:11Speaker 3: to ODDI don't want to go home, which sucked. And
- 26:13Speaker 3: then Addie was fucking so good about.
- 26:14Speaker 2: It, and then went home, like drove back down, went home.
- 26:20Speaker 2: And then when I.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Got home, I told her I was home and she
- 26:25Speaker 3: was like, oh, I'm going through COVID. She was staying
- 26:29Speaker 3: at a family friend's place that she'd known since she
- 26:31Speaker 3: was like born and never thought of him as a threat,
- 26:35Speaker 3: by the way, and so she goes, okay, like cool, whatever,
- 26:44Speaker 3: and she went and she was staying there for the week.
- 26:46Speaker 3: So I got home for a full week I didn't
- 26:48Speaker 3: see her, and then she finally came home and we
- 26:52Speaker 3: saw each other blah blah blah blah, hung out and
- 26:55Speaker 3: then in the end, like it was, she just was
- 26:57Speaker 3: like she just didn't want to and so I ended
- 26:59Speaker 3: up being like really heartbreaking from it from the breakup.
- 27:03Speaker 3: And then I think we were home for a while
- 27:06Speaker 3: just fucking. It was maybe a month had maybe a
- 27:10Speaker 3: month after I was home or something like that, and
- 27:12Speaker 3: I do remember this is what happened. Someone had messaged
- 27:17Speaker 3: me on Instagram as in like a kind of like
- 27:20Speaker 3: it wasn't her, it was just like a girl he
- 27:21Speaker 3: had messed with Instagram, and I was messaging you about
- 27:24Speaker 3: it and I said, I'm just not sure if I
- 27:27Speaker 3: want to go through with anything yet out of respect
- 27:29Speaker 3: for X person, my ex girlfriend. And then Audie goes
- 27:33Speaker 3: I think, I don't know if you said this, but
- 27:35Speaker 3: he was kind of like, nah, fucked that bitch.
- 27:36Speaker 2: I got something to tell you.
- 27:38Speaker 1: I remember that. He was like, oh no, I don't remember.
- 27:42Speaker 5: He was like, she's been sleeping this guy from Sydney,
- 27:44Speaker 5: and I was like.
- 27:45Speaker 7: Oh no, I was so because I found out they
- 27:48Speaker 7: found out, and I didn't tell you because I knew
- 27:51Speaker 7: would break her. And then this girl, like this pretty girl,
- 27:54Speaker 7: like I said, she wanted to hang out with you,
- 27:55Speaker 7: and You're like, oh, I can't do it out of respect.
- 27:58Speaker 3: And then I was like that, fuck yeah, I'm telling him.
- 28:03Speaker 2: And so then all he told me, you know, I
- 28:04Speaker 2: was made it worse. I was like heartbroken, heartbroken.
- 28:07Speaker 5: I needed to hear it.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Obviously.
- 28:08Speaker 3: I was like I was like heartbroken, heartbroken, and so
- 28:12Speaker 3: and then after it was like that was really I
- 28:17Speaker 3: would say, that's like the most heartbroken I've bin.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I remember telling.
- 28:21Speaker 3: My parents and like cause I just knew that there
- 28:24Speaker 3: was no way I was going to be able to
- 28:25Speaker 3: like hide how fucking depressed I felt. And so I
- 28:28Speaker 3: remember telling my parents what happened. That was so they knew,
- 28:30Speaker 3: and then it was just kind of like they were
- 28:33Speaker 3: just like, yeah, fuck, it is what it is, Like
- 28:35Speaker 3: they're supportive, and I was just like, you're actually is
- 28:37Speaker 3: what it is.
- 28:38Speaker 2: And so I just ended up going about my days
- 28:40Speaker 2: or whatever, and I.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Just and it was just like fucking I just would
- 28:45Speaker 3: like it's the most heart wrenching thing. And then so
- 28:51Speaker 3: A few months went by and we got up to
- 28:52Speaker 3: Christmas and I was still like getting over it. Ah,
- 28:59Speaker 3: I definitely there's nowhere near over her. This is twenty
- 29:03Speaker 3: twenty war and so twenty twenty one.
- 29:09Speaker 1: And then.
- 29:11Speaker 3: I found out that she started dating the guy and
- 29:13Speaker 3: I was like, holy shit. I was like, how did
- 29:15Speaker 3: you move on so quick? I was like, this is crazy.
- 29:17Speaker 3: I was like in my head, I was like, you
- 29:18Speaker 3: know what, fuck, I hope that does not.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Work out for you.
- 29:20Speaker 5: I was like, oh, it doesn't work out. I was like,
- 29:22Speaker 5: you've moved on too quick. I doesn't work out for you.
- 29:24Speaker 5: Blah blah blah.
- 29:25Speaker 3: So basically I was like heartbroken neck. I couldn't sleep
- 29:28Speaker 3: for the longest time because the heartbroken the first time.
- 29:31Speaker 3: And then I was starting to get good and then
- 29:32Speaker 3: I find out she starts dating this guy again. I
- 29:34Speaker 3: went through a few weeks of just shitty sleep. I
- 29:36Speaker 3: was sleeping shit, heartbroken.
- 29:38Speaker 2: And then.
- 29:40Speaker 3: My sister came to visit Australia for Christmas. And this
- 29:49Speaker 3: is the part that I was unsure about telling on
- 29:52Speaker 3: the podcast. My mom, for like a lot of my life,
- 29:57Speaker 3: has struggled with addiction, and when my sister came for
- 30:06Speaker 3: she came from Canada. When she came, she came out
- 30:10Speaker 3: and then just I remember, like, so it was still
- 30:12Speaker 3: kind of fresh heartbreak. It's for the second round of
- 30:15Speaker 3: it finding out a daintly guy. And then my sister
- 30:19Speaker 3: comes in. Like the day after my sister comes, she
- 30:21Speaker 3: comes out to where I was stat we're vothing at
- 30:22Speaker 3: my parents' house. She comes into my room, she was like,
- 30:24Speaker 3: have you spoken to Mum?
- 30:26Speaker 5: And I was like what.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I was like no, She's like, oh, I was messaging
- 30:30Speaker 3: her She's and she's like fucking going on about how
- 30:37Speaker 3: she misses us, and then she's so sorry for everything
- 30:40Speaker 3: she's done to us, and I was like what. And
- 30:44Speaker 3: then she goes And then I tried to call her
- 30:45Speaker 3: and tell everything's all good, but she won't answer. She
- 30:47Speaker 3: won't reply, and Johanna said that in the message, she
- 30:52Speaker 3: implied like she's going to miss us, and I was
- 30:55Speaker 3: like what. And so Johanna thinks that she's going to
- 30:59Speaker 3: fucking kill herself m and so I started freaking out.
- 31:03Speaker 3: And for the longest time, I've had like a bit
- 31:04Speaker 3: of a broken relationship with her because I just have
- 31:06Speaker 3: like struggled to forgive, struggled to forget and like I
- 31:09Speaker 3: do sometimes like I'm sure anyone that has the same thing.
- 31:11Speaker 2: He's like knows what I mean by like you'd love him.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Because you love him, but sometimes you're just like why
- 31:14Speaker 3: the fuck can you not get it under control? But
- 31:17Speaker 3: I remember trying to get a hold of my mom
- 31:18Speaker 3: and I was like fucking tried to call on her
- 31:21Speaker 3: and call on her and call on her Facebook and shit,
- 31:22Speaker 3: and she finally answered. She's like crying on the phone,
- 31:26Speaker 3: and I just remember being like I genuinely, genuinely was like,
- 31:30Speaker 3: oh fuck, like my Mom's gonna kill herself because she's
- 31:32Speaker 3: just like relapsed and just can't handle it. And so
- 31:36Speaker 3: then eventually like we got a hold of my aunt
- 31:38Speaker 3: he that lives in the same town. She went over
- 31:39Speaker 3: there and she found her and like my Mom's still alive,
- 31:41Speaker 3: like she's all good. Yeah, But like I just fucking
- 31:44Speaker 3: remembered that mixed with the heartbreak. I remember it breaking
- 31:49Speaker 3: me and Joanna, my older sister. She was kind of
- 31:52Speaker 3: all good after that, but I remember like I like
- 31:56Speaker 3: was walking around, I was like having like heart palpitations,
- 31:58Speaker 3: and I went and I sat down like in this
- 32:00Speaker 3: weird like part of my parents' yard like hidden, and
- 32:03Speaker 3: I just like fucking cried for like ten minutes, and
- 32:05Speaker 3: I was like, what is going on? And then my
- 32:08Speaker 3: dad eventually came around. He was like, fuck, are you okay?
- 32:10Speaker 3: And I just was like I do. I don't know
- 32:11Speaker 3: how to take this a it was like the weird
- 32:13Speaker 3: I just couldn't ah. And then I don't even know.
- 32:17Speaker 2: It's just like I don't know. I went to therapy
- 32:20Speaker 2: once and just like haven't felt the need to go back.
- 32:23Speaker 2: But that was yearsiger now, But I don't know.
- 32:26Speaker 3: I just think like probably a good thing to air
- 32:29Speaker 3: out and people understand that, you know.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I guess we have problems too, Yeah, we do.
- 32:36Speaker 1: We're not perfect by any means.
- 32:37Speaker 2: No, Yeah, just fucking yeah.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I think the hard I think giving advice on the
- 32:43Speaker 3: hard times is like we've been through them too.
- 32:46Speaker 2: I guess.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Yeah, everyone has their own stories. What we could open
- 32:50Speaker 1: up about ours yours? Yeah, that's that's a lot, and
- 32:53Speaker 1: it's just a role on snowball effect kind of thing.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Can't Yeah, so what Yeah, it just made it was
- 32:58Speaker 2: the heartbreak and then that and I was it's like holy, it's.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Like that thing. It's always one thing after another when
- 33:02Speaker 1: it rains a pause.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Yeah, out of the fucking Yeah, you're right, so sorry
- 33:07Speaker 3: if that was like a boring story, I.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Wasn't boring at all, boring, But I just I think
- 33:11Speaker 1: it's struggle.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I think it's.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Admirable how you opened up, because I know that's a
- 33:14Speaker 1: hard thing for a dude, don't you. Yeah, especially the
- 33:17Speaker 1: second part.
- 33:17Speaker 2: For the longest time.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Yeah, the breakup thing, I don't care if that's out there,
- 33:20Speaker 3: like the other thing is just it's just like I
- 33:22Speaker 3: was a bit if you about.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Airing out family drama, but I don't know. I think
- 33:26Speaker 2: it's just I guess.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Everyone has it.
- 33:28Speaker 2: That's the it's part of my life.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Everyone has it. And I think the more you talk
- 33:31Speaker 1: about it and say that you're okay now and your
- 33:34Speaker 1: mom's okay.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely, And like I guess if I don't want
- 33:37Speaker 3: anyone to think, like fuck I hate Jake's mum without
- 33:39Speaker 3: knowing her, like like I love my mom.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like I do.
- 33:42Speaker 2: I love my mom. And I'm going to Canada and
- 33:44Speaker 2: all that, and in I've been. I've been to Canada
- 33:48Speaker 2: after that, and I'm going again obviously in June this year.
- 33:51Speaker 1: And I don't know.
- 33:53Speaker 3: I think it's just like I guess, I guess anyone
- 33:57Speaker 3: else that does deal with something like that, it'd be
- 33:58Speaker 3: interesting to know how they deal with it. Actually, to
- 34:00Speaker 3: be honest with you, I assume there's some people out
- 34:02Speaker 3: there that have had parents with struggle. And I always
- 34:04Speaker 3: am really with the work that my sister does. I
- 34:07Speaker 3: always so with the work that my sister does. You
- 34:10Speaker 3: hear about a lot of bat you with families, and
- 34:13Speaker 3: now I am like, I'm very like, I understand that
- 34:17Speaker 3: stuff that I've been through is hurtful, but I also
- 34:19Speaker 3: have like this mad like gratefulness after hearing some stuff,
- 34:22Speaker 3: like I've always had a roof of a mad always
- 34:24Speaker 3: had clothes, never been hungry, I've always felt love for
- 34:27Speaker 3: my family. Like the only hurt that I feel is
- 34:30Speaker 3: that my mum struggles with these addictions. And just like
- 34:33Speaker 3: the love for us kids doesn't fix the addiction. But
- 34:36Speaker 3: then you come to feel like an addiction is a disease.
- 34:39Speaker 3: And but like I've never like, I've never been hit.
- 34:41Speaker 3: I've always been yeah, like I've had a great upbringing.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Were aged problems has the same magnitude to each person. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 34:48Speaker 1: I think it's Also, it's good to normalize. Like, like
- 34:51Speaker 1: you said, we're not perfect. Everyone has. It's okay to
- 34:53Speaker 1: be hurt and it's good to talk about it. Yeah,
- 34:56Speaker 1: it's like it's just good to get it out of
- 34:58Speaker 1: your system. It's something so beautiful and when humans talk
- 35:01Speaker 1: and you feel better, it's like a weight lifted off
- 35:03Speaker 1: your heart, your chest, everything going on. But yeah, you
- 35:07Speaker 1: wanna leave it on that yeah as well.
