- 0:04Speaker 1: You're damn right, Tom, it's gonna start any moment, damn right.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I mean, we're live, but you know, we got to
- 0:11Speaker 1: hit that intro first. This is like the prequel. It's
- 0:15Speaker 1: what happens sometimes to Logan when he gets too excited.
- 0:18Speaker 2: He has a pocket full of prequel.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Right, that's how it goes, at least too excited. Yeah,
- 0:26Speaker 1: you've made a song about that. I think, all right,
- 0:30Speaker 1: let's hit him within the intro and then we're just
- 0:31Speaker 1: gonna get into this. We're gonna wait for everybody this time.
- 0:34Speaker 1: All right, let's do it. Intro time. Rock out backstage,
- 0:37Speaker 1: Matt Ready, what's.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Up, ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Welcome to Beard Laws Episode twenty four. Tell you what,
- 0:57Speaker 1: we got another pretty mediocre show lined up.
- 0:59Speaker 2: For you, guys.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I'm excited that that dude's excited over there. That's where
- 1:03Speaker 1: he normally sits, but it's Corona season. It's officially Corona season.
- 1:08Speaker 1: So he's there, I'm here. We're abiding by every single
- 1:12Speaker 1: rule possible that we feel like. And yeah, so tonight's
- 1:17Speaker 1: guest in the Beard the Laws Podcast Episode twenty four
- 1:19Speaker 1: is Matt Groorke. He is just a barbecue wizard. He's
- 1:24Speaker 1: a teacher by trade. We got the chance to chat
- 1:28Speaker 1: with him a little before, just a little bit. He's
- 1:30Speaker 1: actually hanging out backstage.
- 1:31Speaker 2: We're not gonna tell you which backstage because it's kind
- 1:33Speaker 2: of like a magic trick. We just do our little
- 1:35Speaker 2: magic of band.
- 1:36Speaker 1: There's Matt, So we're gonna try to get in our normal,
- 1:40Speaker 1: you know segments. The gear in my thoughts logan has
- 1:42Speaker 1: one this time, so that school. He's done a lot
- 1:44Speaker 1: of peeing while he's you know, in quarantine. We're gonna
- 1:47Speaker 1: potentually get to some beerd news. We have that trick
- 1:50Speaker 1: up our sleeve. We maybe we're gonna do a little
- 1:53Speaker 1: music segment. Tuesday, we had a great music trivia which
- 1:56Speaker 1: was a lot of fun. I know, we had a
- 1:57Speaker 1: good time with it, and thank you to all the
- 1:59Speaker 1: Gregs that took part of it. I'm pretty sure we
- 2:01Speaker 1: broke some kind of record for the most Gregs in
- 2:05Speaker 1: a music trivia thing. Waiting for Joel Dart to get
- 2:08Speaker 1: back to us with the Guinness confirmation and don't really have.
- 2:13Speaker 2: A sports segment.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Not a lot of sports going on, but we do
- 2:15Speaker 1: have a new segment, food trivia that was whipped up
- 2:18Speaker 1: by our buddies Jeff and Brian, so hopefully we have that.
- 2:22Speaker 1: So you guys are not allowed to partake in the
- 2:24Speaker 1: food trivia because you give us the answers and you
- 2:27Speaker 1: would probably win, unless you drank too much Jeff, then
- 2:30Speaker 1: maybe you wouldn't known.
- 2:31Speaker 2: This level of playing field.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So creative bit of that's listening just strictly on the podcast.
- 2:35Speaker 1: You're confused about a couple of things that's going on.
- 2:37Speaker 1: We're live every Thursday on beard blas facebook page, which
- 2:42Speaker 1: is Facebook dot com slash official beard Blaws. We're also
- 2:45Speaker 1: live on the YouTube, so go show the YouTube some love,
- 2:48Speaker 1: really trying to kind of push the brand in that direction.
- 2:50Speaker 2: It's just beard Blaws.
- 2:51Speaker 1: YouTube every Thursday, nine pm Eastern Standard Logan time, although
- 2:55Speaker 1: with quarantine, Logan is pretty much always on time.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Just there so he's there. So yeah, there's not a
- 3:05Speaker 2: lot to.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Do, So continue to listen to us on a podcast
- 3:08Speaker 1: if that's what you like to do, Spotify, Apple, whatever
- 3:11Speaker 1: it is. And yeah, that's that's what are you thinking? Man,
- 3:15Speaker 1: I'm excited for this interview.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I don't know about you.
- 3:18Speaker 3: I have been this excited and today, oh hey.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Shout out talking beards guys. They go live every Tuesday
- 3:26Speaker 1: eight pm.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Their news guys pretty decent, so make sure to check
- 3:31Speaker 2: them out.
- 3:32Speaker 1: He's not a member of the fair Haven Volunteer Fire Department,
- 3:35Speaker 1: but he is a member of Talking Beard's an amazing community.
- 3:38Speaker 2: To make sure you guys check them out.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Right there, top fan here, this is the guy, one
- 3:42Speaker 1: of the guys that provided the answer.
- 3:44Speaker 2: So many laws, all of the laws.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Laws for the clause, it's Corona time wizard. Two great mats.
- 3:53Speaker 1: One lives near me and the other not so close.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Shout out Tom he donated a stein to the trivia
- 4:00Speaker 1: to the winner, and shout out to Cody as well
- 4:03Speaker 1: for donating a T shirt to the Tribua winners last week.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Than Yeah, it was a good show, Steve Zay says
- 4:10Speaker 2: high logan. Fuck you Steve. Oh, I'm too cool to
- 4:15Speaker 2: say hi to Matt him over there.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Whatever, you short little prick, grow some hair, just kid,
- 4:20Speaker 1: remember Steve, seriously grow some hair.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, shout out and juju.
- 4:25Speaker 1: All right, ladies and gentlemen, let's get into the interview.
- 4:28Speaker 1: He's backstage, he's ready to go, So let's do the
- 4:31Speaker 1: little intro and then another intro. So this is the
- 4:35Speaker 1: prequel to the intro, and then we're gonna get in
- 4:37Speaker 1: at this interview. Are you ready for it? I'm wicked ready,
- 4:41Speaker 1: You're wicked ready. All right, I'm working ready to Let's
- 4:42Speaker 1: do this.
- 5:04Speaker 2: That for an intro? Are you ready? Let's introduce this man.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Let's let's do it. I gotta rate. I gotta right here,
- 5:10Speaker 2: don't worry, you gotta right here.
- 5:12Speaker 1: A man who educates the youth on how to put
- 5:15Speaker 1: protection on fruit. A man who got smoking in the
- 5:17Speaker 1: boys room, but not tobacco meat allegedly. A man who
- 5:21Speaker 1: has a bigger heart than the Grinch right before he
- 5:24Speaker 1: saves Christmas and Moville.
- 5:25Speaker 2: A man who plays with more meat than Jenna Jamison.
- 5:28Speaker 1: A man who's barbecue brings all the people and probably
- 5:31Speaker 1: some animals to the art because damn right, it's just
- 5:33Speaker 1: better than yours. A man who's love for Philly rivals Rocky.
- 5:37Speaker 1: A man with one of, if not the best first
- 5:41Speaker 1: names in all of the world, the one, the only
- 5:44Speaker 1: Matt roock.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Man.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Love it Love that not a bad intro.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Here, You guys can't see my beautiful face. So I
- 5:54Speaker 1: need to get rid of I need to gotta mo Yeah.
- 5:58Speaker 2: So I mean anytime you need a you need a
- 6:00Speaker 2: man or anything I got you?
- 6:01Speaker 4: That was that was perfect. Yeah, the name was was
- 6:06Speaker 4: on point.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It's one of the greatest greatest names in the history
- 6:10Speaker 1: of the world. And you know, not to get into
- 6:12Speaker 1: you know, the putting of you know, protection on fruit.
- 6:16Speaker 2: But it's that was good.
- 6:18Speaker 3: That was good.
- 6:18Speaker 2: I'm guilty. I have done it. You've done it. I
- 6:21Speaker 2: mean you have to. You get paid to do it.
- 6:23Speaker 2: That's the best part. How could I not do?
- 6:25Speaker 3: You mean he did it when he was ten and practicing.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah, practice, and he's got it. I got some stories.
- 6:33Speaker 4: But we're not talking about health, high school health and
- 6:37Speaker 4: sex ad today.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So yeah, we should probably move on from there. We're
- 6:40Speaker 2: gonna skip that.
- 6:41Speaker 1: So obviously we became friends on TikTok first, Yeah, and
- 6:46Speaker 1: then you know, obviously went to the social media's and everything.
- 6:48Speaker 2: What got you onto TikTok man, I'll tell you what.
- 6:52Speaker 3: It's.
- 6:53Speaker 4: It's funny because it's it kind of works out in
- 6:56Speaker 4: terms of the conversation here and I teach it at
- 6:58Speaker 4: high school, so you know, I mean half the time
- 7:02Speaker 4: I yell at kids for having their phones in class.
- 7:06Speaker 2: What do you think they're doing? According to the they're tiktoking.
- 7:12Speaker 2: So you know, I've I've been on for a while.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Now I deal with that stuff now in school, but
- 7:18Speaker 4: I've actually been on TikTok since before it was TikTok.
- 7:25Speaker 4: So it was actually called Vigo Video prior. I believe
- 7:31Speaker 4: that's what it was before it actually became TikTok. And
- 7:35Speaker 4: I was hooked up through a mutual friend on Instagram
- 7:39Speaker 4: plugged for al Dente Diva. Not only is she acutie,
- 7:43Speaker 4: but she cooks her ass off. So she actually was
- 7:47Speaker 4: on TikTok before it was TikTok in their Creator program
- 7:52Speaker 4: and she was getting paid for it. So yeah, so
- 7:57Speaker 4: that's kind of how I started. She referred to me,
- 7:59Speaker 4: I had an interview you with them, and I got
- 8:01Speaker 4: on that Creator program and I was doing it for
- 8:03Speaker 4: like the better part of the year, getting paid for
- 8:06Speaker 4: it monthly for a certain amount of posts, all food,
- 8:10Speaker 4: and that's when it kind of saw. I mean, I
- 8:12Speaker 4: went for a year before anybody even knew who I
- 8:14Speaker 4: was on TikTok. You know, I had like a couple
- 8:17Speaker 4: thousand followers, nothing crazy, and then you know, it takes
- 8:20Speaker 4: one video, man, one video blows up, and next thing,
- 8:23Speaker 4: you know, you're like six figures on TikTok. And now
- 8:26Speaker 4: my kids in high school, they don't take videos of themselves.
- 8:30Speaker 4: They try to get me to do a TikTok with
- 8:32Speaker 4: them so that they can get TikTok famous because that's
- 8:35Speaker 4: what they call me. And I'm just like, yeah, I'm
- 8:37Speaker 4: far from far from famous.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Man.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Cooking Their logic is insane. You got to do it
- 8:43Speaker 2: like cooking food. And you had that one video.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I had to put a ton of shit in my beard,
- 8:46Speaker 1: not actual shit, but like Christmas ornaments and all sorts
- 8:49Speaker 1: of stuff. That stuff hurts.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that wasn't fun.
- 8:52Speaker 4: I jumped on that bandwagon this past Christmas and I
- 8:55Speaker 4: did it. And I actually wore it to school the
- 8:59Speaker 4: last day for Christmas break and I did it.
- 9:01Speaker 2: TikTok.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I do remember seeing that, Yeah, I remember. I couldn't
- 9:05Speaker 1: wear mine. It was heavy.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Oh I can't imagine. I mean, you you have like
- 9:09Speaker 4: three times the beard I had when mine was at
- 9:12Speaker 4: its biggest.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Times maybe three times what you see but the camera,
- 9:19Speaker 1: the camera's gotten.
- 9:20Speaker 2: It all.
- 9:21Speaker 3: And then and then back down again.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, but yeah, that's how TikTok started. It
- 9:26Speaker 4: kind of just you know, it was another platform to
- 9:28Speaker 4: be able to be creative and.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Have some fun with it.
- 9:32Speaker 4: And that's kind of what I did, you know, and
- 9:35Speaker 4: it kind of just the rest took care of itself.
- 9:37Speaker 4: You just you make content and you do something you enjoy.
- 9:41Speaker 4: It doesn't matter what platform you're on. You're going to
- 9:43Speaker 4: find success if you just be consistent with it, you
- 9:46Speaker 4: know what I mean?
- 9:47Speaker 2: Yep, Hey, what's your TikTok name? Grok Boys Barbecue?
- 9:52Speaker 3: There?
- 9:52Speaker 2: It is Cody g r O A.
- 9:55Speaker 1: R K and Tom can't wait to be able to
- 9:57Speaker 1: meet up with Matt for some barbecue.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm talking to Tom quite a bit. Yeah, Yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 2: he's been excited. He's exciting for this episode for a
- 10:05Speaker 2: little bit. I don't know you excited him or me?
- 10:09Speaker 4: I wish, I wish if it wasn't later, if it
- 10:11Speaker 4: was like a daytime thing, I'd have the grill fired up.
- 10:14Speaker 4: But I figured it'd be cool to come out in
- 10:17Speaker 4: my trailer. And I mean, there's there's black Betty right there.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Hell yeah, and hey, we got a lot of time
- 10:23Speaker 1: on our hands, so we can probably still make this
- 10:25Speaker 1: afternoon thing happen one of these days.
- 10:27Speaker 2: That would be cool, man, because ideas.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Well we'll talk, you know, when we're not live ourselves
- 10:33Speaker 1: talking Beard Dancy, A couple of us are looking for
- 10:35Speaker 1: different style collaborations, so we have I got an idea
- 10:39Speaker 1: for a for a cooking thing. So you're gonna have
- 10:41Speaker 1: to be the first, because yeah, I'm down for that.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Just set the bar high and then you know, everybody
- 10:46Speaker 1: because our buddy Jeff Kennedy actually he came up a
- 10:48Speaker 1: couple of probably a month or two ago and was like,
- 10:50Speaker 1: you've got to have a segment where somebody's actually doing
- 10:53Speaker 1: some live cooking like cooking.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm down, man. What is your so got you?
- 10:59Speaker 5: What's your tip for sending Uh? I don't know, a hot,
- 11:02Speaker 5: fresh plate of meat through ups because that's really the
- 11:08Speaker 5: only way we're going to accept it.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Hot.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Hot is the key word is getting it up there,
- 11:13Speaker 4: getting it up to where, Like how many hours are
- 11:16Speaker 4: you guys from South Jersey?
- 11:18Speaker 3: I mean I am five hours from Northwest Jersey where
- 11:23Speaker 3: my brother in law lives.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, so you're probably seven seven from from me.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:30Speaker 4: I mean I could throw some hot food in my
- 11:32Speaker 4: hot box that I have and get it there still
- 11:34Speaker 4: be hot.
- 11:35Speaker 2: But so that's not a road trip huh road trip,
- 11:40Speaker 2: I could.
- 11:41Speaker 4: I could get it to you still like food handler, certified,
- 11:46Speaker 4: health inspected, safe temperatures, and ready to grub in a car.
- 11:51Speaker 4: If I drove to you seven hours, I could keep
- 11:53Speaker 4: keep the food hot.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Yeah, what he normally is. So that's okay.
- 11:59Speaker 4: So I'm actually talk to a buddy of mine who
- 12:01Speaker 4: owns a business about dry ice and uh he ships
- 12:05Speaker 4: you know, uh with dry ice, and he's asked me
- 12:08Speaker 4: about doing something like that with him, where I would
- 12:10Speaker 4: pre cook a bunch of pulled pork a brisket, and
- 12:13Speaker 4: then he has the manufacturing to be able to seal
- 12:16Speaker 4: it and ship it and all that stuff. So we're
- 12:18Speaker 4: kind of slowly in discussions about that kind of stuff too.
- 12:22Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 12:22Speaker 1: So I want to thank you for educating everyone how
- 12:25Speaker 1: to cook a perfect steak s and p Yeah, Iron,
- 12:28Speaker 1: that's that's the go to flip it with your hands because.
- 12:31Speaker 2: You're not a bitch. That's ever. I think we need
- 12:34Speaker 2: to get that on a T shirt.
- 12:36Speaker 1: So I got you all fired up to make everyone
- 12:39Speaker 1: you know, to get that video you know in production.
- 12:43Speaker 4: And that's actually I think you're you're picking out the
- 12:45Speaker 4: video that really blew up first, that's my first video
- 12:49Speaker 4: is really good. Yeah, that really blew up and uh yeah,
- 12:53Speaker 4: So I was just seeing a lot of steaks being
- 12:56Speaker 4: cooked on TikTok and it was it started with a
- 13:00Speaker 4: couple that I saw, and then it started to become
- 13:03Speaker 4: what they all on TikTok as.
- 13:04Speaker 2: A trend and like everybody was doing it.
- 13:07Speaker 4: And then I saw a video of a kid that
- 13:12Speaker 4: swore it was the best steak ever. And no hate
- 13:15Speaker 4: to anybody, everybody likes what they like, but he he
- 13:18Speaker 4: marinated it, marinated it in pineapple juice something like that,
- 13:24Speaker 4: and like it was. I was just like, what is happening?
- 13:27Speaker 4: And up to that point, I don't know that I
- 13:30Speaker 4: saw any really done well on cast iron either so
- 13:34Speaker 4: or at least the cast iron wasn't the star of
- 13:37Speaker 4: the video, and it should be. If you're teaching someone
- 13:41Speaker 4: how to cook a steak, that what the thing that
- 13:43Speaker 4: you're cooking it on is.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Such a big player that it.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Cast iron.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Yeah, so, I mean a steak on cast iron just
- 13:54Speaker 4: you don't get a better crust on a steak than
- 13:58Speaker 4: with cast iron. I mean it's the best way to go.
- 14:01Speaker 4: And I eat my steak a here, So don't I
- 14:03Speaker 4: don't need that much either. It's like cold on the inside,
- 14:06Speaker 4: so oh yeah yeah, which also gets a rise out
- 14:10Speaker 4: of TikTok people. You want to blow up on TikTok.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Cook a steak for like one minute on each side,
- 14:15Speaker 4: slice it open and show everybody, and you'll trigger millions
- 14:19Speaker 4: of people.
- 14:20Speaker 2: You want two million. Don't even cook it, just eat it.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Oh I'm telling it, I'll tell yeah. Yeah, Well that
- 14:26Speaker 4: is funny. So I caught a lot of I got
- 14:28Speaker 4: a lot of hate on that video too, which is
- 14:31Speaker 4: what makes videos successful is when you do something that
- 14:34Speaker 4: people disagree with, and the temperature of that steak or
- 14:38Speaker 4: how rare it was is what people hated. So I
- 14:40Speaker 4: actually did another video shortly after it. Maybe I don't
- 14:44Speaker 4: know how many videos after, but it was within a week.
- 14:48Speaker 4: I did another video and I just took a cold
- 14:50Speaker 4: cast iron pan and I slapped a raw piece of
- 14:52Speaker 4: steak on it, and I was like, then you flip
- 14:54Speaker 4: it and it was just a raw steak and I
- 14:57Speaker 4: sliced it and yeah, I didn't take a bite of it.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I should have. I love that flip it with your
- 15:02Speaker 2: hands because you're not You're not a bit yea.
- 15:05Speaker 3: That definitely needs to be a shirt.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna talk off live again. We'll get that
- 15:10Speaker 1: on a shirt and we'll.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Get you would be cool.
- 15:13Speaker 4: I would love that. Yeah, I gotch I'll wear it.
- 15:16Speaker 4: I'll wear it when we do the live cooking segment.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Hell yeah, I'm gonna rock up all the time. Wear
- 15:22Speaker 2: it's a school, a little selfless plug.
- 15:24Speaker 1: If anybody else eats merchandise, custom merchandise, anything you want,
- 15:27Speaker 1: I'll put your face.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Hell I'll put Logan's face on it.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Get a hold of me, Metapo, I do merchant I
- 15:31Speaker 1: do all sorts of stuff, so I met. Going through
- 15:33Speaker 1: your social media's for research has probably the toughest so far,
- 15:38Speaker 1: not because you're not out there, but because I take
- 15:40Speaker 1: like four breaks to grab something to stop and eat,
- 15:43Speaker 1: like you just researching him non stop. Beautiful brisket, beautiful,
- 15:48Speaker 1: old park, beautiful, let's smoke some chicken, Let's do It's
- 15:53Speaker 1: a tough one.
- 15:54Speaker 2: It was a good one, but it was tough to
- 15:56Speaker 2: get through. It was really cool is.
- 15:58Speaker 1: How you kind of went Like in your at least
- 15:59Speaker 1: the video that I saw your early videos, you kind
- 16:01Speaker 1: of went from like the pit barrel cooker.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Yeah, kind of portbal trail.
- 16:04Speaker 1: If you're doing a live and a portbal trailer, like
- 16:07Speaker 1: let's let's can you kind of give us a little
- 16:09Speaker 1: bit of you know, like advice. Somebody that's kind of
- 16:12Speaker 1: up and coming, you know, that has a huge passion,
- 16:15Speaker 1: started off kind of the same way as you.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Just kind of one piece of.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Advice that gets you to where you are, get you
- 16:20Speaker 1: not to the next level, but to this level, to
- 16:23Speaker 1: be where you're at.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I started like no, but like like everybody else,
- 16:27Speaker 4: just in my backyard cooking, you know. That's that's how
- 16:30Speaker 4: I started. That's what I've always done, and just up
- 16:34Speaker 4: until a couple of years ago, I've my business has
- 16:37Speaker 4: been open. It'll be two years in August, so it's
- 16:41Speaker 4: not like I've been in business for ten years. You know,
- 16:44Speaker 4: this has all happened really fast. So in terms of
- 16:48Speaker 4: that transition you're talking about, and a lot of it
- 16:52Speaker 4: is thanks to social media and the way that I've
- 16:55Speaker 4: marketed it. A lot of it is thanks to being
- 16:58Speaker 4: a teacher and having that that marketing just kind of
- 17:02Speaker 4: built in. You know, I have kids, parents, families that
- 17:08Speaker 4: I get I leave my house and go walk around
- 17:11Speaker 4: town and typically everyone knows me and knows my name,
- 17:15Speaker 4: and which is why I wanted my name and my business. Uh,
- 17:19Speaker 4: there was just for that recognize of you know, recognition
- 17:23Speaker 4: of the names. So so yeah, that's kind of how
- 17:27Speaker 4: that happened. And but I I just went from cooking
- 17:31Speaker 4: on a kettle and the pit barrel, which I still
- 17:34Speaker 4: do daily cook on those. But once I started with
- 17:38Speaker 4: the whole passion of it, it kind of I went
- 17:41Speaker 4: from just cooking myself and nobody knew I was doing it,
- 17:45Speaker 4: to them being like, all right, let's start putting some
- 17:47Speaker 4: stuff on Instagram.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And I did.
- 17:49Speaker 4: I took my regular Instagram that I just poked the
- 17:53Speaker 4: pictures of my kids and my family and everything that
- 17:55Speaker 4: you see people post pictures about. And I started putting
- 17:59Speaker 4: food on there, and some people loved it, some people didn't,
- 18:03Speaker 4: and some people were like, I don't want to see
- 18:05Speaker 4: your food. I just want to see your kids because
- 18:07Speaker 4: they're adorable. And I was like, all right, well, unfollow
- 18:10Speaker 4: me then, because I'm putting food on there. And I
- 18:14Speaker 4: actually tried starting a different Instagram, separate, and so he's
- 18:19Speaker 4: those people, so that I would have one of just
- 18:22Speaker 4: food and a good buddy of mine and my real
- 18:25Speaker 4: like mentor in barbecue is a guy named Kurt Paul's
- 18:29Speaker 4: and he lives down in Florida. You see you see
- 18:32Speaker 4: my videos. He owns Caribeque, which is a spice and
- 18:36Speaker 4: rub company that I use for my business. And he's
- 18:39Speaker 4: a great friend. And he called me and it was
- 18:42Speaker 4: the first time he ever seen he DMD me and
- 18:45Speaker 4: he was like, Matt, listen, I love what you're doing.
- 18:48Speaker 4: He's a big brand and who's all over social media,
- 18:51Speaker 4: and he said, listen, nix that separate account. Don't have
- 18:55Speaker 4: two accounts. Do it with your own account. You are
- 19:00Speaker 4: your brand. Like people want your food and they want
- 19:03Speaker 4: to see your food, but they almost want to. They
- 19:06Speaker 4: want to, they want your They're buying you as much
- 19:09Speaker 4: as they are your food. They're following you for you, right.
- 19:15Speaker 4: So I took that to heart man like big time,
- 19:18Speaker 4: and I really made that kind of my my my
- 19:22Speaker 4: mantra moving forward that not only are people buying from
- 19:26Speaker 4: a business standpoint, my barbecue, but they're buying me. They're
- 19:29Speaker 4: coming to see me, and uh, you know it's it's
- 19:33Speaker 4: it's worked out well because you know, the businesses is successful.
- 19:38Speaker 4: And that's kind of how it started. I started posting
- 19:43Speaker 4: and then you have friends that are like, hey, can
- 19:45Speaker 4: you make me some food. I'll try it, and I'm
- 19:48Speaker 4: feeding some friends and they're paying me cash. Here, here's
- 19:51Speaker 4: food for pulled pork or brisket. And then it got
- 19:54Speaker 4: to a point where it was like, you might be
- 19:56Speaker 4: able to make some money off this, and I started
- 19:58Speaker 4: researching a business catering and all that goes along with it,
- 20:03Speaker 4: and it became a real possibility. Then my wife's saw
- 20:06Speaker 4: The big change happened when my wife noticed how passionate
- 20:10Speaker 4: I was about it, and then I actually was pretty
- 20:13Speaker 4: good at it. And she got me for my fortieth
- 20:17Speaker 4: birthday and I'm forty two now. For my fortieth birthday,
- 20:21Speaker 4: she got me a trip down to fly into Atlanta, Georgia.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I took about an hour and a half drive south
- 20:30Speaker 4: of Atlanta to a town called Unadilla, and she bought
- 20:35Speaker 4: me a weekend with Myran Mixon, who is like, that's
- 20:41Speaker 4: the brand smoker that I have. It's a Myran mixing smoker.
- 20:44Speaker 4: And Meyern Mixon, for anyone who doesn't know, is the
- 20:47Speaker 4: star of Barbecue Pitmasters on you know, Food Network, and
- 20:52Speaker 4: he's the world's winningest barbecue competition.
- 20:55Speaker 2: You know personality.
- 20:57Speaker 4: So yeah, I spent weekend with him and learned how
- 21:01Speaker 4: to cook everything on a smoker, and I fell in
- 21:04Speaker 4: love with these water smokers and I had to have one.
- 21:07Speaker 4: So when I got home from that, that's when it
- 21:10Speaker 4: really kicked in and I was like, man, I'm frigging
- 21:13Speaker 4: running with this, and I did. And it was all
- 21:16Speaker 4: kind of pushed along by my vegetarian wife.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Wow.
- 21:23Speaker 4: See the mouth drop I did. Valetarian wife?
- 21:27Speaker 3: Yeah, how is that even possible?
- 21:32Speaker 2: Isn't that great? It's amazing? Yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 4: Yo, I'm trying to get her to I'm trying to
- 21:38Speaker 4: get her to watch Tiger King on Netflix because I
- 21:41Speaker 4: want to watch it so bad.
- 21:43Speaker 2: She will not watch it with me. Team hashtag No
- 21:48Speaker 2: Tiger King can't do it. This.
- 21:49Speaker 4: This is a woman. I haven't watched it yet, but
- 21:51Speaker 4: this is a woman. She's like, no, I'm not watching
- 21:53Speaker 4: that show with you. She says she has like been
- 21:56Speaker 4: on the front line at circuses protesting, you know, when
- 22:00Speaker 4: she was like twenty years old.
- 22:03Speaker 2: When I'm on her team, I don't. Yeah, the show's
- 22:06Speaker 2: about I've seen pictures. Everybody and the brother's talking about it.
- 22:08Speaker 2: It's not for me.
- 22:09Speaker 4: Nope, that's what she said, So I still have yet
- 22:11Speaker 4: to watch it.
- 22:12Speaker 6: When I was bartending, the bar I worked at had
- 22:15Speaker 6: a rabbit Dirty and my wife girlfriend at the time,
- 22:21Speaker 6: she was she's from here, but she had just moved
- 22:24Speaker 6: home from Boston to be with me.
- 22:27Speaker 3: So she's like, hey, you're working the rabbit I was
- 22:29Speaker 3: like yeah. She's like, oh, I'll come down. And I'm like,
- 22:31Speaker 3: I don't think you want to do that, and she's like, no,
- 22:33Speaker 3: I will probably better not, but she does. So she
- 22:37Speaker 3: comes down here with her cousin or her friends or whatever,
- 22:40Speaker 3: wearing like little rabbit ears and stuff. She thought it
- 22:43Speaker 3: was race. Not the race, Nope, not this place. Basically,
- 22:51Speaker 3: everyone you know does the rabbit dirty. And then after
- 22:54Speaker 3: the way in this one dude, redneck out of a tree,
- 22:58Speaker 3: backs his garbage truck up and everyone just throws the
- 23:02Speaker 3: carcasses and everything and anything extra into the back of
- 23:07Speaker 3: this guy's truck. And it's right outside the door. It's
- 23:10Speaker 3: like ten feet from the door that she walked in.
- 23:12Speaker 3: So as she's walking in the door, she realizes it
- 23:14Speaker 3: blood all over the steps, and she looks over and
- 23:18Speaker 3: there's this garbage, this makeshift pick up just full of
- 23:22Speaker 3: dead rabbits. I'd smoke a rabbit, Yeah, I'd be pretty good.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Yeah, rabbits tasty. Yeah, maybe that. Maybe we'll do that.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Maybe we'll have you.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Up for a rabbit derby at Dougs. That will smoke
- 23:37Speaker 1: them right on. It'll be a good thing, you know
- 23:39Speaker 1: what I mean, they're gonna kill them. You get this free.
- 23:41Speaker 1: You're gonna make some money just cooking what.
- 23:43Speaker 2: They've already took. And the next year we'll have.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Somebody make you a sweet hat out of it or something.
- 23:50Speaker 1: So next year amongst all sorts of Philly fans. And
- 23:55Speaker 1: that's absolutely gros. But we're gonna move on past that.
- 23:57Speaker 1: But what is one of your favorite birds that you
- 24:01Speaker 1: like to cook or smoke?
- 24:04Speaker 2: One of my favorite birds?
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I honestly I had the most.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Don't say bald eagle. We can't say bald eagle on
- 24:13Speaker 2: the show.
- 24:16Speaker 4: My My favorite cook that I've done poultry wise has
- 24:22Speaker 4: been Thanksgiving turkey. Oh yeah, I just oh man, it's
- 24:26Speaker 4: so much fun.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Have you ever have you ever smoked a turducan?
- 24:30Speaker 4: No, I haven't, but we're gonna have to do that
- 24:32Speaker 4: Turduccan's and let me November.
- 24:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to do that. Tell you what, it's
- 24:37Speaker 2: it's a game changer.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Oh oh yeah.
- 24:40Speaker 1: The best part was me and me and a buddy Jim,
- 24:42Speaker 1: which I have a lot of buddy gym's, but we smoke,
- 24:45Speaker 1: We did a we did a tur ducan, spent all
- 24:47Speaker 1: day and then he had to leave, so he just
- 24:48Speaker 1: took a little bit and the rest of the people
- 24:50Speaker 1: at the party just got to devour it, just devoured it.
- 24:53Speaker 2: It's it's it's not only fun to do, but it's
- 24:56Speaker 2: it's delicious.
- 24:57Speaker 4: As said, the turkey was fun. I enjoyed doing turkey.
- 25:00Speaker 4: I love hanging some chicken in the pit barrel. Something
- 25:04Speaker 4: about hanging your meat, you know, there's something about about
- 25:08Speaker 4: about prepping it and then getting a hook and just
- 25:11Speaker 4: hooking it and having over fire, like there's just something
- 25:15Speaker 4: really cool about that.
- 25:16Speaker 3: You're off.
- 25:17Speaker 2: You guys knew all these innuendos were gonna happen.
- 25:19Speaker 3: And yes, this conversation just took a hard turn left.
- 25:26Speaker 2: So being a Philly fan, have you you've been to Philly?
- 25:29Speaker 2: I assume have you ever run up the stairs like Rocky?
- 25:33Speaker 1: No, I actually haven't believe it or not. No, I've
- 25:37Speaker 1: been there.
- 25:37Speaker 4: I've walked up them, but I guess the keyword is
- 25:40Speaker 4: like Rocky. I've never done it like Rocky. I've gone,
- 25:44Speaker 4: I've walked up the steps. I've hung out up there.
- 25:46Speaker 2: You know, I ran up there with a pretty good
- 25:49Speaker 2: buzz on. But I've never done that.
- 25:52Speaker 1: And then I throw up and go to get back
- 25:55Speaker 1: on the bus.
- 25:57Speaker 2: It was it was an adventure, but that's something that
- 25:59Speaker 2: you got to do in I feel like you need
- 26:00Speaker 2: to TikTok that one. Yeah.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Probably, maybe we meet you in Philly for a baseball game.
- 26:05Speaker 1: When it happens Philly, I guess whatever, I'll make you.
- 26:12Speaker 4: A better I'll make you a better cheese steak at
- 26:15Speaker 4: my house. Then you'll have anywhere in Philly.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Deal.
- 26:18Speaker 2: I agree, we need Philly for sure.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Your cheese steak, I will not need a cheese steak.
- 26:24Speaker 7: I had.
- 26:25Speaker 2: What I'm saying.
- 26:26Speaker 4: I feel like cheese was his key. You're gonna, yeah,
- 26:28Speaker 4: I've had some good ones in Philly. There's definitely some
- 26:30Speaker 4: good ones. But I'll make a better one at home.
- 26:33Speaker 2: You know I'm in. It'll certainly have more meat in it.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:37Speaker 2: So I see you're.
- 26:38Speaker 3: A Weber guy.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I'm a big I'm a big Weber guy as well. Yeah,
- 26:42Speaker 2: I love I love the people. Why Weber is the
- 26:45Speaker 2: only and the greatest way to grill. Listen.
- 26:49Speaker 4: A good friend of mine once told me again, Kurt
- 26:52Speaker 4: Halls from Caribbeque, he once told me that if he
- 26:55Speaker 4: had to get rid of every and this is a
- 26:57Speaker 4: guy who's back patio is filled more than mine with
- 27:00Speaker 4: different types of grills, he said, if he had to
- 27:02Speaker 4: get rid of every grill and just keep one, he
- 27:06Speaker 4: would have one single Weber kettle sitting on the back
- 27:09Speaker 4: of his porch.
- 27:10Speaker 2: That's it. And here's why.
- 27:13Speaker 4: If you're out there and everyone that messages me, I
- 27:16Speaker 4: get a lot of messages every day saying, hey, I'm
- 27:19Speaker 4: just starting out with grilling smoking. I would love some advice.
- 27:22Speaker 4: What's a cheap good smoker if I'm just getting into it.
- 27:26Speaker 4: And I think most people would tell those people like
- 27:29Speaker 4: a trigger, a pellet smoker, you know that kind of stuff.
- 27:33Speaker 4: And I'm like, man, you could do that if you
- 27:36Speaker 4: just don't really care about learning how to smoke or
- 27:39Speaker 4: control fire, like I have a pellet grill. I'm not
- 27:42Speaker 4: talking bad about them, but if you want to really
- 27:44Speaker 4: learn the art of like controlling fire and heat, and
- 27:47Speaker 4: stuff like that. A pellet grille isn't what you need.
- 27:50Speaker 4: You need a Weber kettle, or like someone just said
- 27:54Speaker 4: the comments there, like an ugly drum smoker, like the
- 27:57Speaker 4: pit barrel, like a garbage can smoker. Cause you're literally
- 28:00Speaker 4: starting a fire and then you have to have events
- 28:03Speaker 4: and control airflow and figure out how to work the temperature.
- 28:07Speaker 4: So my advice to everybody is always go to Low's,
- 28:11Speaker 4: go to home depot, go wherever you need to go,
- 28:13Speaker 4: and get yourself a Weber kettle. You can pick one
- 28:16Speaker 4: up on sale for sixty bucks if you want to.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I got my head off.
- 28:21Speaker 4: I got my red limited edition for ninety nine dollars,
- 28:26Speaker 4: fifty percent off even at regular price one hundred and
- 28:29Speaker 4: ninety nine. It's a steel, it's got the ashpan and everything.
- 28:33Speaker 4: But with the Weber kettle. And here's the main thing.
- 28:36Speaker 4: Not only does it teach you how to control temperature
- 28:39Speaker 4: and fire and all that stuff. You can cook hot
- 28:41Speaker 4: and fast on it. You can smoke low and slow
- 28:44Speaker 4: on it. If you just want a stink and you
- 28:46Speaker 4: want to see it, you can go. You can see
- 28:48Speaker 4: a state, you can make chicken breasts, you can do everything.
- 28:51Speaker 4: The only thing about a weber kettle that I think
- 28:54Speaker 4: people don't aren't attracted to is they just want to
- 28:58Speaker 4: be able to go outside and lick their gas on
- 29:01Speaker 4: and start a fire. Well, okay, if that's what you want,
- 29:05Speaker 4: then you're not really learning how to grill or get
- 29:09Speaker 4: a chimney starter.
- 29:10Speaker 1: You're still ready to cook him fifteen minutes listening of
- 29:14Speaker 1: a propainting, you're still in that ten minute range, you
- 29:17Speaker 1: know what I mean?
- 29:18Speaker 3: Right?
- 29:18Speaker 4: You still just to turn on your propane and fire
- 29:20Speaker 4: up your gas grill. You've got to give it fifteen
- 29:23Speaker 4: minutes to fire up and gets a temperature so while
- 29:26Speaker 4: while my chimney's going that It takes thirteen minutes for
- 29:30Speaker 4: a chimney, a full chimney to get where you need
- 29:33Speaker 4: it to be. A lot of people think you need
- 29:35Speaker 4: that chimney to go all the way and have fire
- 29:38Speaker 4: blowing out the top.
- 29:39Speaker 2: You don't even want that.
- 29:40Speaker 4: If you have a longer cook you want your chimney
- 29:43Speaker 4: to get fired up like three quarters of the way
- 29:45Speaker 4: even half, and then dump it because then you have
- 29:48Speaker 4: hot coals on top of ones that still need to burn.
- 29:52Speaker 2: So it's going to extend your time. Oh yeah, I
- 29:55Speaker 2: can't tell you.
- 29:55Speaker 4: I cooked yesterday and I still have I still have
- 29:59Speaker 4: probably two more cooks of colds in there because I
- 30:01Speaker 4: snuffed it, so I don't It's saving money too, because
- 30:06Speaker 4: you make your cold last Weber kettle. Hands down, no doubt,
- 30:10Speaker 4: wouldn't even question it.
- 30:12Speaker 2: So you go get a weberttle better friends, Matt.
- 30:15Speaker 4: Yep, it's the og. Weber kettle is the og of grilling.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Like there is no question, there is no argument, all right.
- 30:24Speaker 1: So do I have permission to quote that and just
- 30:29Speaker 1: put that on the YouTube about Weber and just show
- 30:32Speaker 1: all my friends, maybe even make it my text tone?
- 30:34Speaker 4: Oh of course, Oh it's it's it's my advice, hands down,
- 30:39Speaker 4: all right.
- 30:40Speaker 1: So what is your biggest challenge being a bearded guy
- 30:43Speaker 1: in the barbecue game? Usually you rock the big beard
- 30:46Speaker 1: because I know, I know when I'm smoking the meat
- 30:48Speaker 1: and then you get all that sent in there and
- 30:50Speaker 1: it's just in there for a day or two.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I absolutely love it. But what's one of your biggest
- 30:54Speaker 2: challenges being a bearded guy in the kitchen?
- 30:56Speaker 4: Actually keeping the beard is the challenge? Like I love what,
- 31:01Speaker 4: I love rocking the big beard. I love it. But
- 31:06Speaker 4: being in business now is opposed to in my backyard
- 31:10Speaker 4: doing my own thing, like where I'm actually serving people.
- 31:14Speaker 4: I just don't feel comfortable as I'm cooking, leaning over
- 31:21Speaker 4: me and seasoning and doing all this stuff with a
- 31:25Speaker 4: big old beard that, you know, a big, badass beard
- 31:29Speaker 4: that could potentially end up in someone's food. So from
- 31:34Speaker 4: a health standpoint, when I'm in barbecue season, I tend
- 31:38Speaker 4: to keep it off or severely trend. So that's kind
- 31:43Speaker 4: of my challenge is for someone who loves a beard.
- 31:46Speaker 4: When I'm in barbecue season, I try to keep it
- 31:48Speaker 4: off just because I'm not rocking a beard net.
- 31:53Speaker 2: If you had a custom if.
- 31:56Speaker 4: I had a custom beard net, beard los oh, now
- 32:01Speaker 4: we're now we're talking about something.
- 32:02Speaker 2: If they're in the works. But this thing is kind
- 32:05Speaker 2: of kind of ruined it.
- 32:06Speaker 3: But it's in the work.
- 32:07Speaker 1: So when this happens Jeff in the chat that came
- 32:10Speaker 1: up with a trivia question everything, my buddy, he's gonna
- 32:12Speaker 1: get one. My cousin grand who works in the food
- 32:14Speaker 1: game is gonna get one, and you're gonna get one.
- 32:16Speaker 2: You guys are gonna be the first three and get one.
- 32:18Speaker 1: I think I like that, And it's gonna growth your hat,
- 32:21Speaker 1: like you know, people obviously are always wearing hats.
- 32:23Speaker 2: It's gonna be and it's gonna look cool. I love
- 32:26Speaker 2: it around.
- 32:31Speaker 1: What is one of the most important things like tools
- 32:35Speaker 1: or anything that you know that you that you always
- 32:38Speaker 1: go to when you're cooking. My personally, I think one
- 32:41Speaker 1: of my favorite things are most important things is a beer.
- 32:43Speaker 2: When I'm cooking. But I'm just curious.
- 32:45Speaker 1: From your aspect, like, what is like one thing that
- 32:48Speaker 1: you bring every single time that that you need.
- 32:53Speaker 4: I mean, that's we can go with the easy answer.
- 32:56Speaker 4: This is all right, let's go with this is this
- 32:58Speaker 4: social answer. This is the social aspect of cooking and
- 33:03Speaker 4: barbecue that I enjoy so much is I can't do it. Shit,
- 33:07Speaker 4: I can't even talk about it without having a beer.
- 33:10Speaker 4: I was like, I put the kids to bed and
- 33:12Speaker 4: I'm like, all right, babe, I'm going outside to do
- 33:14Speaker 4: this interview and I grab beers. Like It's just I
- 33:17Speaker 4: didn't even think about it, like we're talking barbecue, I'm
- 33:19Speaker 4: getting beers. So but so that's my that's that answer.
- 33:24Speaker 4: But if we're talking from a barbecue standpoint and people
- 33:27Speaker 4: want to learn something, you know, I it's two things.
- 33:32Speaker 4: Either a knife you need a really really good knife,
- 33:36Speaker 4: all right, So either to trim like a boning knife
- 33:41Speaker 4: is probably might go to knife bone. So a really
- 33:45Speaker 4: good boning knife for your meat.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:49Speaker 4: And then and then a actually a digital thermometer a
- 33:56Speaker 4: meat to probe.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Your meat, all right.
- 34:00Speaker 4: So of course as you're cooking, I know a lot
- 34:04Speaker 4: of people want to be like, oh, this is rare medium,
- 34:07Speaker 4: rare medium, Like most people can't touch their palm and
- 34:11Speaker 4: tell you what the temperature of meat is. And when
- 34:13Speaker 4: you're serving people from a business standpoint, I know when
- 34:17Speaker 4: my food's done because I've done it long enough. But
- 34:20Speaker 4: because the health department is, you know, on my back,
- 34:25Speaker 4: I'm not even risking a chance that I'm giving undercooked
- 34:30Speaker 4: chicken or something to a customer.
- 34:32Speaker 2: I'm just not.
- 34:33Speaker 4: So I have I always have a digital read thermometer
- 34:36Speaker 4: on meat to check my meat. And it's Therma Works
- 34:40Speaker 4: is the brand. If anybody is in the market for one,
- 34:42Speaker 4: They're affordable, the best in the best in the show
- 34:46Speaker 4: in terms of digital meat thermometers.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Hell yeah, after the after this, shoot me a link
- 34:51Speaker 2: to it.
- 34:51Speaker 1: I'll throw in the description in the Yeah, and along
- 34:55Speaker 1: with that Weber link.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Along with the Weber link, that's going in there.
- 34:58Speaker 4: We're gonna have We're gonna have Weber our live cook.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Already already in the email.
- 35:04Speaker 3: They got it.
- 35:05Speaker 7: But the plug that you gave Weber is that should
- 35:09Speaker 7: be their only advertisement for the whole year. They could
- 35:12Speaker 7: from every other thing they decided to do, put you
- 35:15Speaker 7: on there.
- 35:17Speaker 2: And their commercials are terrible.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Like when you're watching like these guys, like your typical dad,
- 35:22Speaker 1: like nineteen eighties, nineteen ninety dads, with their touching flannels
- 35:27Speaker 1: and their new balanced shoes out there and everything Weber
- 35:31Speaker 1: cloves they're probably wearing.
- 35:33Speaker 2: God, no, let's get mad out there. Let's do a real.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Weber thing, drinking, a drinking, a yingling. Let's let's show
- 35:40Speaker 1: the people what they want.
- 35:41Speaker 4: That would be the way to go. That sounds delightful.
- 35:44Speaker 1: So something that no matter how many times you've cooked it,
- 35:48Speaker 1: smoked it and made it, that you still get a
- 35:50Speaker 1: little pumped up every time to make for me, It's
- 35:53Speaker 1: like grilled pizzas. I got the I got the pizzas
- 35:56Speaker 1: Weber grill into a pizza oven. Yeah, so every time,
- 36:00Speaker 1: like a summertime, sometimes wintertime and I'm like, all right,
- 36:03Speaker 1: it's grilled pizza night.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I still get pumped up. There's gotta be something that
- 36:06Speaker 2: still fires you up, no matter how much.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Every single time that I go out and buy ribs,
- 36:13Speaker 4: I like lose my mind. I just basic like pork, ribs,
- 36:18Speaker 4: baby backs, spare, Saint Louis style, whatever they are. Every
- 36:22Speaker 4: single time I buy ribs and I'm ready to cook them,
- 36:26Speaker 4: I have like a little extra pump in me. I
- 36:28Speaker 4: just love I love ribs, and I just love cooking.
- 36:32Speaker 4: I love cooking. I love cooking them. They're fast.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I knock out my ribs in three hours.
- 36:39Speaker 2: It's it.
- 36:40Speaker 4: They're fast and they're tender, and they I just and
- 36:42Speaker 4: they're a little bit of a challenge too, you know,
- 36:44Speaker 4: getting that like perfect bite of a rib. I got
- 36:48Speaker 4: an argument on TikTok with a lot of people. I
- 36:51Speaker 4: think I triggered a bunch of people because I did
- 36:54Speaker 4: a rib post and I told them at the end
- 36:58Speaker 4: that fall off the bone ribs are not good ribs,
- 37:02Speaker 4: you know. And it's not that they're not good because
- 37:06Speaker 4: in general it's what the general public likes. It's fall
- 37:10Speaker 4: off the bone meat. But in terms of a rib
- 37:14Speaker 4: that's done perfectly, it's a nice, easy bite that stays
- 37:21Speaker 4: on the bone. But the bone is clean when you
- 37:24Speaker 4: bite it. The meat isn't sticking to it, but it's
- 37:27Speaker 4: not falling off, you know, right, And that's like the
- 37:33Speaker 4: that's what I said on I said on TikTok, I said,
- 37:36Speaker 4: I made comments people.
- 37:37Speaker 2: I'm like, if you if.
- 37:39Speaker 4: You want fall off the bone ribs, just cook a
- 37:41Speaker 4: pile of meat. Like, what's the point of having rigs
- 37:43Speaker 4: if they just if you're not eating them off a
- 37:45Speaker 4: rib like you said, right, Uh, pork ribs. Yet I
- 37:52Speaker 4: just did b f ridgs yesterday and they turned out phenomenal.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Nice.
- 37:56Speaker 1: What's one of the weirdest what's one of the weirdest
- 37:59Speaker 1: things you've ever seen?
- 38:01Speaker 4: A beef heart?
- 38:03Speaker 3: Oh?
- 38:04Speaker 2: I want to guess that one. Yeah, I did a heart.
- 38:07Speaker 2: It was wicked just with or was it like a request?
- 38:12Speaker 3: No?
- 38:12Speaker 2: So I ordered it.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Actually it was sent to me by a company called
- 38:18Speaker 4: crowd Cow and they they sourced me from small farms.
- 38:23Speaker 2: All over the country. Great company.
- 38:26Speaker 4: Yeah, and I ordered a beef heart just for ships
- 38:29Speaker 4: and giggles. I was like this, I'm want to try this.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I'm going to try cooking it.
- 38:32Speaker 3: It didn't.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Dude, No, it didn't. It didn't either, But but it was.
- 38:39Speaker 4: It was so cool, like to have to trim it
- 38:42Speaker 4: because I read up on it. I never cooked one before,
- 38:44Speaker 4: so I researched a little bit and uh, you know,
- 38:47Speaker 4: I trimmed it and had to take on it was
- 38:48Speaker 4: just crazy because it's legit. Like if you scroll all
- 38:52Speaker 4: the way down my Instagram, there's a picture of it,
- 38:54Speaker 4: like just the heart, not the cook, like not the
- 38:57Speaker 4: video of the cook, but just the heart before I
- 38:59Speaker 4: start to trimming it. And it is such a badass
- 39:02Speaker 4: picture to this in.
- 39:04Speaker 2: The heart while you were cooking it at all, Like
- 39:06Speaker 2: at least one say that again. Did you listen to
- 39:09Speaker 2: any heart while you were cooking it?
- 39:12Speaker 4: I should have you and I need you on my
- 39:15Speaker 4: like in my ear when I'm cooking, so I know God.
- 39:23Speaker 2: With me. You need me in the ear any like
- 39:25Speaker 2: inspiration you hit me up. I know we can do
- 39:27Speaker 2: this live thing, you know an Instagram live.
- 39:32Speaker 3: I got you is a constant earworm if he's your friend.
- 39:36Speaker 8: Like.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Yeah, this guy are tended and like I was there
- 39:41Speaker 1: all the time for him and it was sometimes a little.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Too much, but were serving me a little too much?
- 39:47Speaker 2: I mean, you know one.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Of my TikTok celebrity or not TikTok, my Instagram celebrity
- 39:54Speaker 1: moment before I like really got into social media.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Really big was that heart post?
- 40:02Speaker 4: When I posted the picture of the heart, I kind
- 40:04Speaker 4: of explained how I cooked it, and I made tacos
- 40:07Speaker 4: with him. So I sliced it up and made tacos
- 40:09Speaker 4: and it turned out good, but I felt like it
- 40:11Speaker 4: could have been better.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Yeah, So I.
- 40:14Speaker 4: Got a comment, a comment from Andrew Zimmern. If you
- 40:22Speaker 4: know who he is, Bizarre Foods. Yeah, travel channel, Right,
- 40:27Speaker 4: he goes and eats all that crazy shit. He commented
- 40:30Speaker 4: that he commented on that post. If you go to
- 40:33Speaker 4: that post, you'll see his little blue check and he says,
- 40:36Speaker 4: next time I do it, try doing it black and blue.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Oh have you done it?
- 40:43Speaker 4: So here's the key I learned with heart. I overcooked it.
- 40:47Speaker 4: It was a little tough when you cook heart beef heart.
- 40:50Speaker 4: I have a buddy that hit me up on Instagram
- 40:52Speaker 4: or on TikTok recently. He hunts and he has deer heart.
- 40:57Speaker 4: So I looked up he was asking me how to
- 41:00Speaker 4: cook it, and I don't. I don't know. I just
- 41:02Speaker 4: research it. Like half the stuff I learned to do.
- 41:05Speaker 4: I go on Google and I learned, like, I'm not
- 41:07Speaker 4: creating things on my own for the most part, I'm
- 41:10Speaker 4: just learning how to do it like anybody else. So
- 41:13Speaker 4: I went on YouTube and Google. I was looking up
- 41:15Speaker 4: deer heart and they slice them like deer like steaks,
- 41:19Speaker 4: and there there's all that inside of the heart that's
- 41:22Speaker 4: like the A order and all the valves. So if
- 41:25Speaker 4: you slice it and it has these two holes where
- 41:27Speaker 4: the valves are, and you you slice it about an
- 41:30Speaker 4: inch thick, and you go like thirty seconds on each
- 41:34Speaker 4: side and then you're done.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Is We're gonna We're gonna watch Brave Heart right before
- 41:39Speaker 1: we cook the heart while we.
- 41:42Speaker 4: Are cooking heart for our Live Food Live. That's what
- 41:45Speaker 4: we're doing.
- 41:46Speaker 1: We're doing this and we're gonna get him on there.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Chunky Hustles in the house. Shout out, Chunky Hustle. So Chunky,
- 41:53Speaker 1: Chunky's gonna be a guest on the show here coming up.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Just to let everybody know Chunky's the man.
- 41:59Speaker 4: We're going a little We're doing a little challenge on TikTok, myself, Clinton,
- 42:06Speaker 4: Who's poor Man's Comfort Food, Chunky, a couple other really
- 42:12Speaker 4: good cooks on Instagram. We're doing a a Quarantine comfort
- 42:17Speaker 4: food Challenge.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Well, if anybody, if any of you guys are man
- 42:21Speaker 1: enough to jump on the pizza challenge that I threw
- 42:23Speaker 1: out there a little bit of go, let me know.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I got some sweet pizza skills. I just did a
- 42:27Speaker 2: couple of new pizzas tonight. Pizza challenge you guys wanted, I.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Actually did one that you'd like. It was a barbecue
- 42:34Speaker 1: smoked was a smoke pork.
- 42:37Speaker 2: I'd be down with that.
- 42:38Speaker 1: A smoke Yeah, smoked pork barbecue pizza the other day.
- 42:42Speaker 2: That sounds delicious.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:44Speaker 1: So I know you've had a lot of amazing things
- 42:46Speaker 1: that have happened to your life, but was being named
- 42:49Speaker 1: Beard of the Game on the Fan of Vision one
- 42:52Speaker 1: of your biggest life achievements that was up there? That
- 42:57Speaker 1: was that was so up there?
- 42:59Speaker 2: It was all that was pretty good, showing a couple
- 43:02Speaker 2: of beers, a couple of beards, and I'm.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Like, oh, it's man, it's mad.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Yeah, as a proud moment, man, the best.
- 43:10Speaker 4: I don't know what was better, actually the presentation down
- 43:13Speaker 4: on the court or walking back to my seat all
- 43:16Speaker 4: the way up in the nosebleed section and people pointing
- 43:19Speaker 4: at me, going that's him.
- 43:21Speaker 2: That's him.
- 43:21Speaker 1: I'm like, uh so you want And they didn't even
- 43:26Speaker 1: like bump your seats up.
- 43:27Speaker 2: It wasn't a pack stadium.
- 43:29Speaker 4: No, I was out, we were So I was actually
- 43:32Speaker 4: there for for a uh it was it was called
- 43:36Speaker 4: Township Night at the Sixers. So it was all through
- 43:40Speaker 4: my high school so it happened to be an event
- 43:44Speaker 4: like for our high.
- 43:45Speaker 2: School as well. So so yeah, so I was up.
- 43:50Speaker 4: There just with the high school teachers and kids and
- 43:52Speaker 4: stuff like that. So I probably could have moved down,
- 43:56Speaker 4: if you know, I mean with a beard like that,
- 43:57Speaker 4: I would kiss.
- 44:01Speaker 1: So Mark, either crust you can use, you can be creative.
- 44:05Speaker 1: You some ramen, noodles, you some crackers, whatever, just just
- 44:08Speaker 1: do that. Throw it on the old TikTok hashtag homemade pizza.
- 44:12Speaker 4: So what I've learned is cool. You can actually go
- 44:14Speaker 4: to your favorite local pizza shop. I've heard a lot
- 44:18Speaker 4: of people do it and they'll sell you just their dough.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, that's pretty cool. So yeah, so that's almost
- 44:27Speaker 2: all the questions I have.
- 44:28Speaker 1: So what we usually do is we end it with
- 44:29Speaker 1: the trivia, and since you're here, we're going to do
- 44:32Speaker 1: a food trivia.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Just ten to thirty.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Nice.
- 44:34Speaker 2: If you want to stick around and be a part
- 44:35Speaker 2: of it, we'd love to have you. Yeah, I want
- 44:37Speaker 2: to hear this. Okay, you're in awesome.
- 44:39Speaker 1: So anybody in the chat, if anybody can beat him
- 44:43Speaker 1: in food trivia, we will work on a price. Logan
- 44:46Speaker 1: is the official scorekeeper, so he's gonna you think he'd
- 44:49Speaker 1: be prepared for this and actually have every time it
- 44:52Speaker 1: disappears real quick and.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Tries to find something to keep scar.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Hey math today, I got to erase this hold on
- 45:00Speaker 3: fair enough.
- 45:01Speaker 4: Whoever I heard you at the beginning, you said a
- 45:02Speaker 4: couple of people throw in like a sign, and then
- 45:05Speaker 4: someone else through something for the winner at trivia. Yep,
- 45:08Speaker 4: I'm gonna I'm gonna add to that. And whoever wins
- 45:11Speaker 4: the trivia, I want you to send me their info address,
- 45:16Speaker 4: name and address, and I'm gonna send them a boy's
- 45:19Speaker 4: T shirt.
- 45:20Speaker 1: All right, you guys heard it. That's a sweet T shirt.
- 45:23Speaker 1: And I'm going to work on buying and I'm gonna
- 45:27Speaker 1: get some. I wanta so many those shirts are awesome,
- 45:29Speaker 1: so yeah they turned out. I'm gonna buy one off
- 45:32Speaker 1: you and we'll or we'll do a shirt swap. You
- 45:34Speaker 1: know one, I'll send you a beard blas one or
- 45:36Speaker 1: you're linking or.
- 45:37Speaker 2: I'm in all right.
- 45:38Speaker 1: So so what we're gonna do is, we got about
- 45:40Speaker 1: ten to thirteen questions. So if oh, chunky Hustle says,
- 45:44Speaker 1: looks like.
- 45:44Speaker 3: I'm winning.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Real quick, real quick, Matt, what's your take on Pineapple
- 45:49Speaker 2: on pizza.
- 45:51Speaker 1: I'm okay with it, all right, choice, It's not my choice,
- 45:57Speaker 1: but all right, no, see, I'm strong. I even created
- 46:02Speaker 1: a brand that called was called that's called Pizza Laws
- 46:06Speaker 1: and I so if you go to no Pineapple on
- 46:08Speaker 1: pizzas dot com, I own it. If you go to
- 46:10Speaker 1: Pineapple goes on pizza dot com, it actually redirects to
- 46:14Speaker 1: no Pineapple dot com. So hopefully that pays off. Because
- 46:20Speaker 1: I spent a good, you know, forty dollars and a
- 46:22Speaker 1: couple of years. There's potential there, and I had T
- 46:27Speaker 1: shirts and sub merchandise. Can't stay long, got a whole
- 46:30Speaker 1: order to work on some I understand that we'll try
- 46:32Speaker 1: to get through these questions fairly quickly. Jim says he's
- 46:35Speaker 1: a garlic farmer in New York, and oh that's awesome, Jim.
- 46:38Speaker 2: I love garlic. I'm from New York. One of my
- 46:41Speaker 2: favorite things in the world.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Oh love garlic Cee team mom man crying. I think
- 46:46Speaker 1: he's cutting onions. That's the cutting onions. Look I've come
- 46:50Speaker 1: to all right, so pizza a local shop that chicken
- 46:53Speaker 1: wings topped with onion rings. Somebody here today something with
- 46:57Speaker 1: like buffalo chicken and French fries.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Interesting?
- 47:01Speaker 1: All right, So we're gonna get into the trivia. Anybody
- 47:04Speaker 1: at home, Logan, what are.
- 47:05Speaker 2: We gonna do now?
- 47:05Speaker 1: You wanna do the first one right? Or do you
- 47:07Speaker 1: want to mix them up every time in case there's some.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Delay, Let's uh, I'll mix him up, all right. The
- 47:13Speaker 3: number of the question, I'll say, I don't know whoever
- 47:15Speaker 3: gets that third question number one?
- 47:17Speaker 2: What do you want to go with?
- 47:21Speaker 1: Uh?
- 47:21Speaker 3: Question number one should be first, first one to answer,
- 47:23Speaker 3: first one, first one to answer right on our screen.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Well are we going screen against Matt?
- 47:30Speaker 1: So, so what we're gonna do is we're gonna ask
- 47:32Speaker 1: the question and when we see the right answer, then
- 47:35Speaker 1: we'll we'll ask you, Matt. We won't feature it yet,
- 47:37Speaker 1: We're gonna ask the question, don't answer until you Okay, Matt,
- 47:40Speaker 1: what's your answer? And then they have to beat Matt,
- 47:43Speaker 1: So keep track of how many man gets right, and
- 47:45Speaker 1: then you know.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Just keep track of if anybody can beat him.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Whoever beats him gets some sweet merch.
- 47:52Speaker 3: All right? There?
- 47:55Speaker 1: Nutt is traditionally on a Wolldorf salad? What nut is
- 48:01Speaker 1: traditionally on a Wollderf salad? And if I didn't say
- 48:03Speaker 1: it right, I'm sorry, I don't know what the salad is.
- 48:07Speaker 2: I couldn't get this question right.
- 48:09Speaker 1: But you guys hopefully can throw it in. Throw throw
- 48:13Speaker 1: your answers in the chat. What nut is traditionally on
- 48:15Speaker 1: the world Eorf salad?
- 48:17Speaker 3: These nuts? Is that not it?
- 48:21Speaker 2: Oh?
- 48:22Speaker 1: Buffalo joke? Why because you're a little far left? All right,
- 48:31Speaker 1: I see what, Matt? What is your answer?
- 48:34Speaker 2: Walnut?
- 48:35Speaker 1: That is correct? And the first one in our chat
- 48:38Speaker 1: was shout out squeak spirit. I've even done a shutout
- 48:40Speaker 1: squeak Spirit. We've been live for forty eight minutes and
- 48:43Speaker 1: forty three seconds and I didn't shout out your beard.
- 48:45Speaker 3: I'm sorry, squeak, you're slacking.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Congratulations Squeak is the first one there. And we had
- 48:51Speaker 1: some pecans, we had a cashew, we had some other walnuts. Congratulations,
- 48:57Speaker 1: all right, Question number two, what number?
- 49:00Speaker 2: And what number? On the third person.
- 49:02Speaker 1: One answer, So three people at least have to get
- 49:05Speaker 1: this right. Where did the potato chip originate? I didn't
- 49:12Speaker 1: know this one, but I know it now and I
- 49:14Speaker 1: think it's going to stick.
- 49:15Speaker 2: In my brain.
- 49:16Speaker 1: So where did the potato chip originate? Things that make
- 49:22Speaker 1: you go throw the answers in the chat? Where did
- 49:28Speaker 1: the potato chip originate? Third person to get it right?
- 49:37Speaker 1: Will get the point the answers in there?
- 49:42Speaker 2: All right, the potato for the CT. I mean that's
- 49:50Speaker 2: kind of right, but not exactly what we're looking at.
- 49:54Speaker 2: We're looking for a lot of answers coming in.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Uh. I'm pretty sure there's gonna probably be some people
- 50:03Speaker 1: hitting the Google up here soon.
- 50:04Speaker 3: So do we have at least one right? Mob?
- 50:08Speaker 2: Now get a right? Double Mats, Matt, do you know

- 1:17:37Speaker 1: hell shelf hat in the studio. That's gonna be So
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: if anybody has a brand and wants to feature this,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna start doing YouTube videos with this in the
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: background and potential to add on.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: So hat shelf What did I call it? I called
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: it a shelf hat. That's what all the cool.

- 1:18:20Speaker 2: So, uh, there's not a lot of answers coming in.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Yeah, Tom, according to Brian and the Googles because I
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: looked them up.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: After it's called a to Is that a point for Tom?
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: That's a point for Tom.
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: Like I always called like the Beanies a tuk and
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: I think a lot of people in North Country so
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: it's like.
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: Danas as high hig. You're gonna type it in. That's funny.
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: When you have a micro here, that's cool.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: And you haven't been in the studio in a while
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: because like the whole hole Corona and stuff. But we
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: got multiple cameras in the study video now so we
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: can do guests. All sorts of crazy shit happened in here.
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: I'm excited, so are the cops? What? All right? So
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: I'll be staying at your house a lot.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: That is what I do when I dance to surfer
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: our cool. All right, Tom's the only one getting the
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: point on that one.
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: Yeah, Tom's up. Tom's basically I believe it's six to three.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: Now, all right, I've got to have a look at
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: is Messila seven or did you hit eight?
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: I missed that one.
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: Miss too.
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: I'm an o first since we came back.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: Yeah, yep.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: All right, So so if Tom gets this one, then
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: they're tied. This is the last question unless we need
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: a tie breaker. And if we need a tiebreaker, Brian
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: or Jeff can ask a question live all right? What
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: temperature must hot food be held at? What temperature must
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: how food?
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: This is gonna be between Matt and Tom.
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: I better know it.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Hopefully you have what my person said me, where is Squeak?
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: Is he organizing the fridge? So another thing that Jeff
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: came up with during this whole quarantine that we do
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: so every Tuesday, we kind of had like a trivia
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: night to just let you know, Matt, if you ever bore,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: you can come into and everything we do trivia or
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: we do like a call in fan interaction, you know,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: kind of just relax, no no interview, just kind of
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: go everything. And what came a couple of weeks ago
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: was Jeff's decided to do a a What's in my
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: Fridge segment? So do you have this in your fridge?
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: Do you have the So it just turned in this
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: whole game and you got points and everything. It was
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: it's a pretty fun thing, and there's actually keepers for
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: sale on geodlaws dot com slash shop What's in my Fridge?
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: Which it was a great idea, except two days after
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: that we're all quarantined for eight goddamn months. So everything
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: in it is the same fucking thing.
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: Logan, How many people get this correct?
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: You said? Just him and Tom? Anyways, Matt, what's your
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: nobody else matters?
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: Right now?
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: I'm gonna say, uh, I believe one.
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: My guy told me one forty Okay, yeah, it's around there,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: and just to be extra safe, probably.
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: Tom went for so I believe Tom got me.
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: Tom?
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: Kind you right?
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: The first one this was the first one, correct, So
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: perhaps to that, yeah, to a little too late.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: Tom and Matt right now battling. I've got the first one.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: What's that?
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: I think?
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: Is Tom?
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: Is this your first win?
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: It is? This is this is like a lifetime of
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: work here.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: Oh those are sick. Yeah, I'm gonna buy one of
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: them for the ship.

- 1:22:20Speaker 1: and a couple of different colors and those turned out
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: Yeah, this logo is the right size. This is good.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: Yeah, this will be my set in order with these guys.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: This is branded bills. Okay, yeah they are.

- 1:23:59Speaker 1: she could be good use of cheating, even though she
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: can't see this far on the sneakers screen. But just
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: in case anybody knows if she does happen to it right,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: she's not cheating. But everybody, there's all of you, whether
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: it's Jeff, Tom's just gonna donate again, but play, just
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: keep this game going.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: If you want, Tom.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: Seven Neldon ct squeak. Everybody get ready. Matt's got an answer.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: First one on the screen is gonna win this amazing shirt.
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: This is gonna be pretty easy, pretty easy. Well, or myself,
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: get it right, then I send you a T shirt.
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: Oh, this is an easy one. That's up to you guys.
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: Though. If we get it right, we'll put in the
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: studio done.
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: What is the internal tent that chicken has to be
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: served at?
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: One?
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: Boom? Oh dude, I'm I'm that's what I do.
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: You're a chicken cooker.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: I'm a chick chicken cooker.
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: Now to someone, to someone that answers it on the text.
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: When the messages, get it too.
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: If some if somebody gets it quickly, Tom Tom again,
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: Tom astered it all right?
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: How about Tom just messages someone's name?
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: Oh Tom? How about this? How about we do a
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: number went in doubt? We do a number game.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: Closer to a number so, so pick a range one
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: through ten, one through twenty.
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: Whatever you want. How about Logan? He usually just writes
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: it down and whoever's closes.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: Because then if Tom wins, then Tom go and buy
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: a scratch off a lottery ticket, whatever you can, because
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: it's just your goddamn lucky day, one through fifteen, one
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: through So in the chat, whoever's closest one through fifteen,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: just as internal chicken temperatures four hundred and twenty, all right,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: closest to one through fifteen, tom' says one through thirty, Well,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: Tom go, you go fifteen through thirty sixty.
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: Nine, giggy, All right?
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: Greg? Are you writing this down?
- 1:26:04Speaker 8: No?
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: But I have it in my head.
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: Your number, all right? Your number down? Ditch you with trust.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: You pay the number that he's thinking and write it
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: on the board right now.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna buy you a T shirt from him.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: I don't have anything to write with, but you know
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: what in your head down I'm challenging. If Logan gets
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: the exact number that you're thinking, I'm buying him a shirt.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: This is get fun. Come on, really with this ship.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: I saw a UFO the other day and I'm already
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: freaked out. Someone gonna write it, all right, So we're
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: gonna give everybody another like ten seconds to get your
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: answer one through fifteen closest way.
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: If they if they wrote it, can I say it?
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, let's give him just five seconds or whenever you're ready,
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: just just say the answer.
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: Okay, seven.
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: First, and then I changed it to four. I wrote seven.
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: Then I just was like, that doesn't.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: Seven? All right? I got it.
- 1:27:12Speaker 4: I need cts. I need his name, address, shirt color,
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: and size.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: All right, CT message it to me or would you
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: rather have him d m you on Instagram and follow?
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: He can DM me on Instagram because then he's got
- 1:27:26Speaker 4: to follow me.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: Perfect, he'll follow you. CT is the man, and that's
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: just good karma. Because CT donated a T shirt to
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: the last show.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: It's a T shirt in this show. That's just good karma, dude.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: He's also been doing like a couple of random lives
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: on his Facebook page for the quarantine stuff. So if
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: you guys are around, make sure you guys check it out.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: CT was my first thought, and give him the shirt.
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: C It's just full circle awesome. Shoot me the info. Yeah,
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: just follow him. So this is the art at the
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: end of the show. Jeff's gonna need everybody's social Security
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: number real quick.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: So if you guys, so.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: This is the time where we not only thank you,
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: but we're gonna make you full screen. Just plug in
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: what you have coming up, all your social media's, whatever
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: you wanna, Just kind of plug yourself. This is all
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: about you. The whole interview is about you, but right
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: now this is really about you. So we're gonna make
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: you big screen. So cet pay attention. You're gonna hear
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: his Instagram, everything else he has going on.
- 1:28:31Speaker 4: Everybody else, show some love for Matt, guys, Thanks for coming,
- 1:28:36Speaker 4: Thanks for hanging out beard last, thanks for having me.

- 1:28:53Speaker 4: Barbecue g r o A r K Boys, BBQ.
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: Follow me on there. Send the love, guys.
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: My business started because of a passion and a willingness
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: to want to give back and make people smile, man,
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: And that's what food does.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: That's what barbecue does.
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: So in this time, especially now, with everybody being you know,
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: kind of hurting in a lot of different ways, that's
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: what we need to do most. So anytime you can
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: give back or do some good, please do it. It
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: means more than you even think, uh to the people
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: that you're doing it for.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: So love y'all.
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: Thanks for having me, and uh can't wait to do
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: this live cook Man.

- 1:29:45Speaker 3: He's got lights. Yeah.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: We were just like, yeah to the man, Matt, can't

- 1:30:00Speaker 1: Obviously, Matt, we can't thank you enough for taking the time,
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: Jeff says, cheers cheers to you as well. Not only
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: are we grateful for having you in the show, but
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: grateful to have you kind of like you know what
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: I mean in our circle. You know what I mean,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: Like a minute, man, I love it our guy, and
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: we appreciate you letting us into your circle. So we
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: can't thank you enough. For taking the time to do this.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: So seriously, man, thank you so much.
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: You're welcome keep telling.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: Thanks put an awesome interview. Thanks trying to bring back
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: the arsenal hull. It's just not catching you all right,
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: but seriously, man, thank you. You're more than welcome to
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: stick around backstage or if you just want to hang
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: out live, it doesn't matter. Logan's gonna do it. You're
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: we're gonna wrap it up. It's up to you.
- 1:30:42Speaker 4: Yeah, sounds good, guys.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: I gotta go when you get to the wife, all right, man, Thanks,
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: thanks a good man.

- 1:30:48Speaker 4: Hey, hey, hey, be well man, I'll see you guys
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: all right later.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: Dude, what an amazing, amazing dude that was. That was
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: an awesome interview, and thanks every buddy. Shout out to
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: Jeff and shout out to Brian for doing the food trivia.
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: That was a lot of fun. Tom. You're just a
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: savage out there.
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: First win. Amazing guy. Donates it back and shout out
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: to CT. Good karma comes around. Donates a T shirt,
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: gets a T shirt. I'm confused. I think I want
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: a T shirt too.
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: If not, I'm gonna buy a T shirt. Logan I
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: really would have bought you one, but you suck dude.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: I fucking wrote seven. I was like, first number came seven,
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: That's how I do my seven at an angle like
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: this or like no this, and then I was like, nah,
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: it gonna be seven to betefore totally. Always go with
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: your gut. I should know better.
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: Always go with your gut. Tom Savage name hit you
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: with the intro? Which one?
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: Is it? All right?
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: You ready for it?
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: It's not time for You're in my thoughts.
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: You're in my thoughts. The good people of Gillette and
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: other face harvesting companies. So COVID nineteen has everyone sitting
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: at home, unemployed, stressed, lazy. They're finding new ways to
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: make love or new ways to avoid it. One common
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: denominator out of all that facial hair. Men who had
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: to be clean shaved for work can now grow beards.
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: Men who had to clean up to go out to
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: the clubs and you know, get laid and shit. They
- 1:32:51Speaker 3: can't go out to the clubs, so they're probably gonna
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: grow a beer too. They kind of want to. So
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: men who grow or groom suspect beards they wouldn't even
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: go out are now like I don't get this shit
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: a chance. And men who employed in lazy as fuck
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: definitely growing beers. And then there's the women. Why the
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: fuck do they need to shave either, they don't hairy legs, Harry, armpits, squirt,
- 1:33:27Speaker 3: we're born with it. Right now, when you can't go out,
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: you might as well just let it go. Who cares?
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: Who cares? So these poor people at Gillette. I don't
- 1:33:39Speaker 3: even know if I can legally do this, and this
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: is my company. If I'm shaming, if I'm shaving, I'm
- 1:33:46Speaker 3: using these guys. I actually spent three or four minutes
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: with this guy today doing my lower and neck up
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: in here into balls and my balls. I didn't do
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: my balls if anything other than a couple of minut
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: with this. The only other thing I'm using for I
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: don't know, well me anytime in near future. But anyone
- 1:34:05Speaker 3: even like these people I just mentioned, they might use
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: some of these tweezes. Maybe maybe if you're a shaving
- 1:34:15Speaker 3: company right now, you're in trouble, because right now you
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: might as well just use one of these like this.
- 1:34:23Speaker 3: This will just get my my fuzz off and then
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: I'm done. But if you're one of these companies who
- 1:34:32Speaker 3: promotes the facial man, then you're doing Okay, Stock's gonna
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: go up because people have no reason to shave, to
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: all be clean cut and go out to the hippie
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: hoppy music clubs. No they shouldn't anyways, but they're gunna
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: long hair. Don't care exactly, Jeff Kennedy, grow it out.
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: COVID nineteen actually does have a good purpose. Couple number one,
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: family time, number two, social isolation. Maybe it's probably a
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: good thing. Maybe we don't need to be hanging out
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: with a thousand people with colds and costs and syphilis.
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: But the other part is maybe now we'll finally start
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: to see some beards. Maybe the fucking New York Yankees
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: will actually have some beards, because you know, damn well,
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: every single one of them.
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: It's like, I can grow a beard now, breaking news.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: So I got we're gonna, we're gonna, We're gonna transition
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: from that.
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: Remark that was a great thing, and these are actually the.
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: Terminology is now quarantine beers.
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: That's what the quarantine bear has. Let his go, uh,
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: let his go. But let me bring up this.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: This my my news article from Talking Beards, and it's
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: gonna kind of go with your very last comment.
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: About the Yankee beards, and I actually I have a
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: good story.
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw the episode, probably not
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: because you don't support me when I'm talking beards.
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: It was a great episode, and it's not it it's not.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: It's not because unfortunately, you know, there was there was.
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: I was needed for the.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: Entire episode and filled those shoes, and you weren't there
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: to support me. And you could have been there for me.
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: You could have been my jackstrap, you could have been
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: my supporter, yea, but you weren't. And I'm trying really
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: hard to find this news article that I thought I had.
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: Remember listening like in the winter, like shortly after the
- 1:36:34Speaker 3: Yankees like either won a fucking world series or missed
- 1:36:38Speaker 3: lost the playoffs. Anyways, somebody interviewed Jombi at one point,
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: and he had his little gray, scruffy beard and he
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: looked like the old Jombie, you know, the Jambi that
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: everybody liked from the A's and there, and people like
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: Edian was like, yes, there is. He'll get his fire back.
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: And then spring spring training start and then we all remembered,
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: oh yeah, Jombi still sucks because he fucking Isy Yankee.
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, you guys ready for beard news.
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: Good evening, I'm mad and this is your talking beer news,
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: brought to you by beard Claws and last week's news.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: For anybody that actually paid attention and went over to
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: Facebook dot com slash talking Beers or talking Beers on YouTube,
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: I mentioned that men are using the quarantine time for
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: an excuse to grow up their beards. If you haven't
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: seen that, watched it on Talking Beards, you're gonna see it.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: Really cool artable about celebrities.
- 1:37:36Speaker 2: And a couple of things.
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: But we have a new group of people that are
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: making the best of their quarantine time to grow theirs
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: out because their employer refuses to let them.
- 1:37:46Speaker 2: Could you imagine working.
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: For a company that makes you sign paperwork that bans
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: you from growing out your beard. A company that had
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: so much success back in the day that people who
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: do enjoy them use every reason to throw out old
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: success rate in your bearded face. A company that uses
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: its success in deep pockets to fully smaller companies just
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: so they can continue to succeed. A company that cares
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: so little about their employees that they don't even let
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: them wear their name on their uniform, a company that
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: was also called a moral abomination by its own media.
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: You know what this company is?
- 1:38:18Speaker 3: You write this own shit?
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: Yeah? I wrote that. Yeah, Yeah, it's good. Do you
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: know what that company is, Logan?
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: Yes, I do.
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: Who is it?
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: New York Yankees?
- 1:38:28Speaker 2: It's the fucking New York Yankees.
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: Dan Gartland from si dot com rode article about how
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: he thought it was funny how quickly the Yankee players
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: were growing out their beards now that they are allowed to.
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: He also mentions how so many players leave the Yankees
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: and you can see them during spring training rocking a
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: nice new beard with their.
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: Nice new team.
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: He went on to mention a couple of players recently
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: the head left and how they've started to grow their
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: beards in facial hair. So what I said is, I'm
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: going to, potentially, with Logan's help, write an article if
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: some of the players, at least a list of players
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: that left the Yankees.
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: Then went on to have phenomenal beards.
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: And I'm gonna post talking beards bs button because frankly,
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: we have too much time on our hands.
- 1:39:10Speaker 2: Just as Tommy Shaw. It all came about when.
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: The Yankees released a video to their fans wishing them well.
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: Seven of the twelve players, in Dan's opinion, were sporting
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: enough facial hair to earn them a fine if they
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: were at work.
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: I quickly looked to see what the fine was, and
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: I really couldn't find anything.
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: So I can't wait for someone on the Yankees to
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: be the bearded pioneer and end one of the.
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: Most stupid policies I've ever heard of.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: Even Dan agrees in his article that it's well past
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: time for the Yankees to start treating their players like
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: adults and let them control how they look. Shame on
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: you Yankees and all you Yankee fans for allowing this.
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: Imagine how many other bearded guys would be able to
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: join our bearded community if it wasn't for the damn Yankees.
- 1:39:53Speaker 3: That was good. However, I believe the find is significant
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: per their laws, we should That's funny. The WAFE hates
- 1:40:01Speaker 3: the Yankees at the boy time. I love your wife.
- 1:40:04Speaker 2: Yes, grow a.
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: Mustache, but they can't have like they can't have hair
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: to their shoulders.
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: They can have it down to about down to about here,
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: like basically the bottom of the lip is here. They
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: can't have an eachin I don't I can't remember. I
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: don't know if they can have any here. But the
- 1:40:20Speaker 3: fine is significant enough that players don't use it.
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: David and he was allegedly fine, but it was never
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: released what he was finding fatiguurl go tee.
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: So I don't give a shit. I'm grown a go tea.
- 1:40:31Speaker 3: He also wore Babe Bruce hat during a game, like
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: he didn't give a five.
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: No, And that's why he's pretty decent, except for he
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: was a Yankee.
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: Uh he was a Blue Jay twice. True. But so
- 1:40:46Speaker 3: two things that of course I hate the Yankees, but
- 1:40:49Speaker 3: two things that are important about this. Number one, there
- 1:40:52Speaker 3: is a reason that the Yankees have been as successful
- 1:40:57Speaker 3: and like take aside take out the money in the
- 1:41:00Speaker 3: fact that they're New York, big market, right, so for
- 1:41:02Speaker 3: their whole existence they have they have the pin stripes
- 1:41:07Speaker 3: with no name on the back, and they have there right.
- 1:41:10Speaker 3: So I can't remember what movie is it. I would
- 1:41:12Speaker 3: remember if I wasn't trying to think of it. Why
- 1:41:14Speaker 3: are people afraid of the Yankees or why why do
- 1:41:16Speaker 3: people why does everyone lose the Yankees? They're afraid of
- 1:41:19Speaker 3: the pin stripers? It's a line in the movie, but
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: it's freaking correct. The Minnesota Twins in the Oakland, a's
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: small market teams cannot, for the life of them beat
- 1:41:30Speaker 3: the New York Yankees. And it's not because they're not better,
- 1:41:33Speaker 3: but it's because then I'm not saying it's because the
- 1:41:35Speaker 3: Yankees don't have beards and that shit, but it's because
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: of their persona. So of course I want the Yankee
- 1:41:42Speaker 3: players to have beards because it will change the persona
- 1:41:45Speaker 3: of the New York Yankees. And but not just the players.
- 1:41:48Speaker 3: That changes the persona the fans of the people who
- 1:41:52Speaker 3: could care less about the Yankees lose or win, all
- 1:41:55Speaker 3: of a sudden, they will just become another team. Yeah,
- 1:41:58Speaker 3: And like the the difference between the Yankees and the
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: Dodgers the last few years is that they of course,
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: the Dodgers have got their Yankees haven't. But the Yankees
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: are still the biggest draw in the majors. They're not
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: the best team, they're the biggest straw. And then you
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: get some some players, like those guys that they had
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: last year that kept filling in. It's a Yankee thing.
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: Some people fall into it, some people don't. Randy Johnson
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: didn't like it. That's okay, yep, But like I want
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: the Yankees to a lot of facial hair because quite frankly,
- 1:42:29Speaker 3: it'll knock the Yankees down about seventeen levels. They will
- 1:42:34Speaker 3: become just another good team with money.
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: Yeah, they should be allowed to. I mean, they haven't
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: had any real success ince two thousand and nine, right,
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: don't be who they want to be.
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: There will be something to be said if they ever
- 1:42:46Speaker 3: do that, about attendance and sales and stuff like that,
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: because I really believe I've thought about this forever. Although
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: we must say Thurman Munson, Don Mattingly and a few
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: others did fucking sweet mustache.
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: Do you think Brian Wilson dyed his beard? Ooh yes,
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: dan see from the dan ce Joe on YouTube. We
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: were actually having a baseball conversation pretty recently and he's like,
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: he dies his beard.
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: I was liket it didn't he He might have even said
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: it at one point it was too black. It was
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: blacker than black.
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it was yeah, And I don't know, maybe he
- 1:43:27Speaker 2: did come out and say it.
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: I hadn't looked anything up, but we had a conversation
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: about him, and I've actually reached out to some of
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: his people and I'm waiting on an email to try
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: to get him on the show.
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: Like, I want to think that Brian Wilson's beard was
- 1:43:39Speaker 3: blacker than black because it didn't shine. So I think
- 1:43:42Speaker 3: he probably used rostolium flat black on his beard.
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: Maybe he just had to shoe polished and he just.
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: Polished, dude, he might have. He might have polished it
- 1:43:51Speaker 3: and then combed it while it was wet so that
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: it stuck and then just stuck there because that thing
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: like that, his beard never moved. It was it was
- 1:44:00Speaker 3: black as black. It could not shine. It was the
- 1:44:03Speaker 3: greatest thing in sports for two years. The only reason
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: he didn't last longer because his arm fell off. He
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: was cool.
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: It was probably too much from the beard dying his beard.
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: It just got threight to his brain.
- 1:44:16Speaker 3: It's a good God game possibility if he was dying
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: the stuff black lestoling. Not a fact, just guessing, just guessing.
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: All right, we're gonna wrap this up.
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: We've we've been live for an hour and forty four
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: minutes and it's felt like about ten minutes.
- 1:44:30Speaker 3: Remember when we started this and we were like, you know,
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: forty five minutes and hour tops. You know it'll be good.
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: Yeah, this is fun. Shit, it's fun. We can't thank
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: everybody in here enough. We don't know why you.

- 1:44:59Speaker 1: gonna have it all and it's not gonna be a

- 1:45:59Speaker 1: have a head up of what's going on and everything.
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: Eighty Cakes like the Adirondecks, So just a cool crew,
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: a lot of gamers, you know, they're at the Twitch
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: dot tv. Is is obviously his channel and his brand.
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: So we're gonna get him on usually. Rocks and Beard
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: look on a little baby face right now because the
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: whole quarantine thing so in his job did it to
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: be So he just shaved it off because he said,
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: the hell with it. I'm not one hundred percent sure,
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: but we are going to be doing that tribute Tuesday,
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: and then upcoming next week we have another cool guest
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: who might have even been in the check So stay
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: tuned for that check out on social media and s
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: there's guys.
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: We can't thank you enough. Look, we can't thank you
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: enough as well.
- 1:46:40Speaker 3: Quick quick then, So it's funny you said, like, uh
- 1:46:44Speaker 3: hardcat shade because of the COVID nineteen thing. So I went,
- 1:46:47Speaker 3: I had to go to the store the other day
- 1:46:49Speaker 3: for or yesterday for the family. Right, So I get
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: out there and I have lifestyle in my in my truck,
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: so I'm like, hey, I was like, so I'm spraying
- 1:47:04Speaker 3: myself right, and like I got my I got what's that?
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: Did you shave and then spray?
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: Well, yeah, clearly you know. So like I'm doing that
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: and I start driving and then all of a sudden,
- 1:47:16Speaker 3: I can't breathe. I'm like windows, So I almost like
- 1:47:21Speaker 3: solve myself to death. I finally I get home and
- 1:47:23Speaker 3: I'm like, man, I don't know if like that, I
- 1:47:29Speaker 3: don't know how how this goes. So I took the
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: light alet to my face. Yeah, because well I got
- 1:47:35Speaker 3: a beard. They say, you know, shave your beard.
- 1:47:40Speaker 12: You catch COVID nineteen if you have a beard. So
- 1:47:42Speaker 12: I'm like, all right, cool whatever. So I'm like, take
- 1:47:44Speaker 12: them the lights. I'm like, so I spray my look and
- 1:47:49Speaker 12: then I spray my arms again. Well two facts about
- 1:47:53Speaker 12: this Number one my arms. My skin's very sensitive to
- 1:47:56Speaker 12: like I don't know anything. So if I do dishes,
- 1:47:59Speaker 12: I get like like like bumps some arms and stuff.
- 1:48:02Speaker 12: So I now have bumps on my arm right there,
- 1:48:05Speaker 12: and I know exactly what it's from.
- 1:48:06Speaker 3: It's from the fucking lysol. Because I lie all my
- 1:48:09Speaker 3: body and then like I did my beard and I like,
- 1:48:13Speaker 3: I let it sit for a minute and then I
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: washed it out. But my forehead you can't see it now,
- 1:48:17Speaker 3: but I thought it was still there a couple hours ago.
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: You could still see a line right here. It was
- 1:48:23Speaker 3: a red rash from where my hat was. My hat
- 1:48:26Speaker 3: was like this yesday. But I the liceol. I know it.
- 1:48:29Speaker 3: I just went like this, and I just like that.
- 1:48:32Speaker 3: I lice aled my face yesterday.
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: What is wrong with you?
- 1:48:37Speaker 3: This shit's fucked up.
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: Keep it out of my beard, Keep the lysol, your
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: weird keep anything that's alcohol based except for actual alcohol.
- 1:48:46Speaker 3: Yeah, your beer.
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: I got some new stuff for you to try. So
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: next time we're actually in the studio, we're allowed to
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: hang out. I got some new products. Not only that,
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: we're gonna do some reviews. So if you want to
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: come over, we can do some reviews.
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: All right, I'll do a drive by.
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: You throw it to me, yeah, okay, lax, and then
