- 1:12morning, of course, coming up a little bit later on the show,
- 1:17Secretary of State Mac Warner is going to be here. Also, gubernatorial candidate
- 1:19has been kind of making his rounds and ever since the statement was made during
- 1:23the gubernatorial discussion if you Will debate last week that Secretary Warner feels that the
- 1:30election was stolen. Not only stolen, but it's only by the CIA.
- 1:34He's nominee Dana to make a name for himself. He's really made a name
- 1:38for himself now because this story's going nationwide and he's asked to come on the
- 1:41show to talk about that. So we're going to get to that with Mac
- 1:42Warner coming up a little bit later on. Also, today is the first
- 1:47day of the Charleston Police departments annual toy Drive. It they do with As
- 1:51Torgato. We're going to talk to some folks from the police department coming up
- 1:53a little bit later on. They'll be on for the second straight And we
- 1:56have a gentleman in the studio with us and he is from I've a little
- 2:01deep dive on this last night. The name of the group is Americans for
- 2:06Citizen Voting and we're going to explain to you why that's supporting Charlie Cooleen is
- 2:09whether it's going to join him a little bit later. Rob, Well,
- 2:13we've got a big story I want to get to locally this morning. I
- 2:15want to bring into the show. St Albans up Police Chief Joe Crawford,
- 2:19Good morning, Sara. How are you. Good morning, Dave. I'm
- 2:23doing fine, Thank you for being here. Officer involves shooting. We've got
- 2:27some information available on the website. Give us what you know at this point.
- 2:30What happened in Saint Albans last night, Sir. About twelve twenty five
- 2:36am, Saint Albans Police Department responded to a domestic in the twenty seven hundred
- 2:42block of Lincoln Avenue there in the east end of the city. Responded to
- 2:46domestic officer he'd gone on seeing there's a male suspect in the house. Mail
- 2:53individual in the house that Brandy Stay a knife during our encounter and the officers
- 3:02attempted to use less lethal force with a taser and it was not able to
- 3:10subdue and bring them into custody. Right now, still early in the investigation,
- 3:15we still have our Sriff's department is on scene finishing up the crime scene.
- 3:23But apparently from preliminary indications, are that there was three officers involved,
- 3:30one from Saint Albans and two from Nitro the Sheriff's Department. We're investigating the
- 3:37criminal side of it. We're esciming do the criminal side. Now. Saint
- 3:39Albans and Nitro will respectively be doing their internal reviews as well on the policy
- 3:46issues. But we're conducting the criminal and we're finishing up there at the scene.
- 3:52Really, as we speak, Jue Crawford is with us talking about this
- 3:54officer of all shooting. Joe, You've been doing this for a long time.
- 3:58This is the worst possible outcome anytime that a tragic event like this happens,
- 4:02Sir, it is uh in a time of year. Uh. Always
- 4:08during the holidays you see an increased call volume for domestics. But this one,
- 4:15uh is tragic. Uh In it's in itself. But the officers did
- 4:20what they should have done from freemari in indications that you know, they attempted
- 4:27to use non legal force and ultimately ended up having to re use deadly force.
- 4:34So it's an unfortunate event, uh, during during the holiday season.
- 4:41Yeah. Well, Joe, I appreciate you. I reached out to you
- 4:43early this morning by coming on the show this morning. I know you got
- 4:46the investigation continue, so we'll let you go. Thanks for coming on and
- 4:47updating this on this tragic situation. Thanks a lot, Joe, I appreciate
- 4:50it. Thank you all. You all take care of them. Appreciate you.
- 4:54I thank you a lot against Joe Crawford, that officer involved shooting in
- 4:58St. Albans last night. Again, we've got the investigations continuing. We've
- 5:01got information available on the website and on our social media as well. It's
- 5:05nine to twelve. The show, of course, comes to you from the
- 5:08Parmar Store studio. If there's not a Parmar store near you now, there
- 5:11will be soon. Parmer opening up five stores this week for in Ohio,
- 5:15one and Virginia. That's part of Mar's first Virginia Storre. As a matter
- 5:17of fact, the Ohio stores in the community of Worcester, Loudonville, Winesburg,
- 5:21and Howard, and the Virginia location is in the community of Lowmore.
- 5:25Stopped by your favorite Parmer location and pick up a world's Best Chocolate chocolate bar
- 5:30or red stocking this Christmas season, with all proceeds benefiting the Children's Home Society
- 5:33of West Virginia. If there's not a Parmar store near you now, there
- 5:36will be soon. Okay, So transitioning now, I'm bringing Charlie Cooleen from
- 5:41the group of Americans for Citizen Voting, who asked for some time here in
- 5:44the studio this morning. Charlie, good morning, and welcome to the show.
- 5:46Thank you for having me, Thank you for being here. Tell me
- 5:49about this group, first, Americans for Citizen Voting. What is the group
- 5:54all about and what does this organization stand for. Yeah, so we're a
- 5:57group with a nationwide focus where believe that the only people voting in elections local,
- 6:02state, federal should be US citizens. So, okay, I'm presuming
- 6:09and what I said, I kind of did a deep dive on some some
- 6:11research on this. I thought, I'm presuming that most folks think that in
- 6:15order to cast a ballot in an election in America, you have to be
- 6:19a US citizen. But in doing some research for that, you're saying that
- 6:23that isn't always the case. Yeah, that's a really common misperception. So
- 6:27what we've seen in San Francisco, New York, d C. And some
- 6:30other municipalities, they'll elect for something called home rule and they can decide who
- 6:34votes in their local elections. And we feel it's really fundamental to our country
- 6:40to make sure only citizens are voting. Now, according to what I read,
- 6:44the states of and correct me if I'm wrong, Alabama, Arizona,
- 6:47Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, and North Dakota have provisions in their respective constitutions
- 6:54that say no one can vote in an election who isn't a citizen. Correct.
- 6:59And for this upcoming year as well, voters in the states of Wisconsin
- 7:03and Ohio and Iowa are going to have that choice as well on the ballot.
- 7:09And then we hope to get this in ten other states where voters will
- 7:12be able to choose whether they want to have only citizens voting in their election,
- 7:17which I think many voters really believe is a no brainer. Yeah.
- 7:20And West Virginia is one of those states that does not have a provision in
- 7:25the constitution that prohibits non citizens from voting in local election. Now, there
- 7:30is an interesting distinction between local and federal. Is that right? Correct?
- 7:33Correct? And so our goal in coming to West Virginia is to get a
- 7:38ballot proposal on the twenty twenty four ballot to give West Virginians the choice to
- 7:42vote on citizens only voting, which we believe they'll overwhelmingly support. And so
- 7:46why is this so important to your organization in nationwide? Why is there such
- 7:50a move on this? Explain that. Yeah, well, number one,
- 7:54we've seen a rise in certain people calling for anyone to be able to vote
- 7:58in elections simply you're either a citizen or you're a guest in this country.
- 8:03And we believe only citizens should be voting because they're really the only people who
- 8:07are bought into this country, bought into our values, take a longer term
- 8:11view on voting, and I think would vote more responsibly if someone's just here,
- 8:16for example, from a foreign country and their kids are attending local public
- 8:18school and they argue, well, we should be able to vote in this
- 8:22local school board election because our kids attend that school. Well, they have
- 8:26such a narrow focus interest, they're not taking a holistic view when they're going
- 8:31into the ballot box. Talking with Charlie Colleen again from the group Americans for
- 8:35Citizen Voting here on the Day Allen Show on five to eighty live. Has
- 8:39this sort of thing been a problem in West Virginia or in other states?
- 8:45Yeah, Well, I mean the biggest states we've seen this in is San
- 8:48Francisco, are California, San Francisco, New York City they passed something where
- 8:54eight hundred thousand foreign citizens will be able to vote in their local elections.
- 9:00And I mean, as some of these laws are written as well for nonsistants
- 9:03to vote, you know, you could see people in Washington, d C.
- 9:07Who are working in a foreign embassy for China, Russia, any of
- 9:11these countries voting in a local DC election, which I think is absolutely ridiculous.
- 9:16So I want to kind of circle back to West Virginia here and excuse
- 9:18my ignorance on this, but in order in order to get this changed in
- 9:22West Virginia, as you alluded to a little bit earlier, Charlie here,
- 9:26that would require change to the state's constitution and then would have to be put
- 9:30on the ballot for people to decide. Is that right? Correct? Correct?
- 9:33And we really believe the constitutional amendment route is the best route to go,
- 9:37because you know, politicians come and go and laws can change much more
- 9:41easily. But if we get this in the constitution, it's really a fundamental
- 9:45change to the state to how people vote. And I think it's going to
- 9:48be a long term positive change. Now, has your group in other states
- 9:52that you've worked on to try to get this on the ballot or get it
- 9:56passed or whatever in other states, has your group specifically been successful in this,
- 10:00Yes, we've been successful. So this has been in six states already
- 10:03and we plan to do ten states this year. And so this will be
- 10:07something that the legislature when they gabble in next month would probably be taking a
- 10:13look at. They'll pass it, and then it will go before the voters.
- 10:16Correct. So we're doing everything we can to get this on the attention
- 10:20of legislative leaders, to make sure this is a priority and that they vote
- 10:22on this so it appears on the twenty twenty four ballot. Do you anticipate
- 10:26any issues? I mean, this is a red state, it's a Republican
- 10:28state. Conservative say, I can't imagine a whole lot of people would have
- 10:33issue. There may be some, but I mean, do you anticipate much
- 10:35of a fight here in West Virginia. Well, there's never a lot of
- 10:37pushback on the merits of the argument. I think it's common sense where a
- 10:41lot of people would agree, yes, only usys and should be voting in
- 10:45all elections. But really the biggest thing we face is making sure people take
- 10:48this seriously and push it forward, because they could say, is this really
- 10:52an issue? Could this really happen in West Virginia? But we say,
- 10:56well, look at these other states. If it's happening over there, eventually
- 10:58it's going to come here, So like, deal with it now? Will
- 11:01you have the political will? Where can people learn more about this? I
- 11:05know you're kind of early on in the process in West Virginia, but I
- 11:09was on your website last night. You've got a lot of information from other
- 11:11states on there. Where can people learn more about them? Yeah? So
- 11:13it's Citizens Only Voting dot com and Americans for Citizens Voting dot com and those
- 11:20are the websites that they can check out. You've got an active presence on
- 11:22social media as well, Charlie. Any final words that you'd like to leave
- 11:28the people with, because there could be people listening to this right now that
- 11:31may think, Okay, well, I don't really think that that's that big
- 11:33of a I don't think that this is that big of a deal. You
- 11:37would say to them, what, well, I would say, look at
- 11:39where this is happening in other states. I mean, eight hundred thousand people
- 11:43in New York are going to be voting who aren't US citizens. This is
- 11:48I think a really serious one hundred thousand, eight hundred thousand is what their
- 11:52local law will allow for with electing to do home rule. So I mean,
- 11:56this is something serious that people should pay attention and they're gonna have a
- 12:01choice to actually like make a call on it in twenty twenty four. So
- 12:05like I would say, make the right choice, and you'll never have to
- 12:07deal with it again and again. This has to go before the legislature.
- 12:11You're gonna be working the phones and working and shaking a lot of hands and
- 12:13whatever with the legislators to try to get this on the ballot. And if
- 12:18it does make it to a ballot, initiate, because again it would have
- 12:20to be agreed upon by the voters, it would be in I guess the
- 12:22November twenty twenty four election, correct, Charlie. I appreciate you taking time
- 12:26on your schedule to be here. Now, where's home for you? Where
- 12:28are you from? Dallas, Texas? You know you're speaking to the world's
- 12:33biggest Dallas cowboy fan here right, excellent? I'll go Cowboys all right,
- 12:37all right, we'll leave it at that. This is our year, right
- 12:39it is. It's just like every year. It's just like every year.

- 16:22if contributing to the country is the standard for voting, should migrant workers
- 16:26be able to vote? Their labor is invaluable, they have taxes taken out
- 16:30and pay taxes on products they purchase. Texas camp The guests mentioned that the
- 16:40university proposal for local voting by non citizens was invalidated by a judge. Or
- 16:44does he need to pretend it still exists for fear mongering? Texas says,
- 16:51must be all those soft on crime policies of the Saint Albans mayor that led
- 16:53to the criminal threatening police with the knife. We all know the woke policies
- 16:57of Mayor James enables criminals. Or does this bad faith argument only work when
- 17:02you try to own the libs, says a Texter. Texas says, if
- 17:07you've been to this country for more than ten years to pay taxes, you
- 17:10can vote. We have rich people in this country that don't pay a diamond
- 17:12taxes that vote, and that doesn't stop them. Texas Western India's leadership has
- 17:18made it clear they don't want to welcome anyone who's different from us in any
- 17:22way. So we really don't have to worry about hordes of non citizens taking
- 17:25over local elections or even coming here. Remember this only affects local elections.
- 17:29No need to panic. According to a texture, well, today is the
- 17:33opening day, if you will, of the two day Charleston Police Department's Annuel
- 17:37Toy drive good folks into Astorgado. Assisting with that it gets underway in a
- 17:41couple of hours. A good friend, Lieutenant David Payne, is here for
- 17:44the Charleston Police Department. Good morning, sir, how are you? Good
- 17:45morning? Thanks for having us, and we also have another guest with us
- 17:48today. Would you like to introduce yourself to the folks. Good morning,
- 17:52I'm Lauren Swanson. Now, Lauren, what is your part in all this?
- 17:55So? I am helping raise brand awareness with graphic design, little bit
- 18:00of public relations PR my field next to broadcasting, and I'm not good at
- 18:04either one. Again, there's no need for comments, no need for comments.
- 18:11You know somebody, Dave, it's kind of rare to have somebody on
- 18:12the show two days in a row, but you're able to pull it off
- 18:15because here at the station, we really believe in this and what you guys
- 18:19are going to be doing. What time do you start today? We kick
- 18:22off at eleven o'clock. Saanta arrives at noon at the parking lot of anny
- 18:26keatam. It'll go on today from eleven to seven. We're accepting new unwrapped
- 18:33toys for kids up to eighteen years of age. And I know, Dave,
- 18:37that the sometimes, and I've planned a lot of events in my time,
- 18:40I know that sometimes the day is leading up to an event can be
- 18:42more stressful than the actual event itself. Sometimes it takes care of itself once
- 18:47you're there. Talk about what it's been like, both of either one of
- 18:49you running around like crazy trying to get things ready for this two days.
- 18:53You know what, it hasn't really has been as hard as you think,
- 18:56I think, because of our love and passion for what we're doing for the
- 18:59kids. But Leeah, last night we were in that parking lot. We
- 19:02transformed the parking lot to a wonderland for the kids. Our officers worked really
- 19:06hard. I said, this is really the only place you can mix match
- 19:08the lights without your wife really getting mad at you. But it's a it's
- 19:12a really nice place over there. It's He'll be surprised once you come and
- 19:15enjoy it. Talk about the buy in guys from the community on this Oh,
- 19:21it's been huge. You know. Without their support, we really couldn't
- 19:23pull this off. We've had a lot of organizations and individuals come together to
- 19:27help this out. Last year, we were able to serve seven hundred and
- 19:32fifty children and we hope to beat that this year. And the weather looks
- 19:37good. I always like to talk about the weather. Next couple of days.
- 19:38You can't can't beat it. Shine. It's really going to be nice.
- 19:42The kids are really excited about seeing Santa Lauren. Let's I'm gonna talk
- 19:48to you for a second. Let's talk about getting the word out to people.
- 19:51I mean, you've used this show, but not just this show that's
- 19:52the only one that matters anyway, I'm kidding, But you've gotten the word
- 19:56out and through the media and through social media. Talk about what that's like.
- 20:00Absolutely so. The Charleston Police Department has done a wonderful job with the
- 20:04relationships that they have that are existing, and also our sponsors, you know,
- 20:08as Lieutenant Pain said, it truly takes the village and are the sponsors
- 20:15who have served as drop off locations for us, those who have helped out
- 20:18with our event. Everybody has really gone out of their way to you know,
- 20:23volunteer their time, volunteer their space, make food for people, but
- 20:27also help us get the word out. And that has been instrumental in this
- 20:32process. And you've discussed this in the past, but just in case,
- 20:36Lieutenant, people are listening for the first time, how do you go about
- 20:40gathering the toys? How do you go about choosing who gets them? And
- 20:45then the distribution? Talk about that all right, So there's an application process.
- 20:48So we actually put it out on our Facebook page on Sunday. We
- 20:51reached a point where we had to cut it off because and then we reached
- 20:55that point probably within about two hours. We hope to put that site back
- 20:57up to accept an applications once we receive additional toys. But once we we're
- 21:04collect them at benny keatam, we'll take them on Friday over to the Colisseum
- 21:08and that's where we're bag and tagging all the toys for pickup on Monday and
- 21:12Tuesday for those that filled out the application. And talk about the help that
- 21:18you get from the folks there at Benny Keaton, because they do a great
- 21:22job as well. All they're wonderful, they're they're a really good host,
- 21:26they're just really wonderful people. We've worked with them now for four years and
- 21:29they're very accommodating, just very good people to work with. And again you've
- 21:33discussed this because you've been in this third times you've been on the show to
- 21:36talk about this, But I just want to make sure we get the message
- 21:37out there as far as the history of this and where it came from and
- 21:41this whole idea. Talk about that. Sure. So it really started off
- 21:44during COVID where the FOP provides us with one thousand dollars to do shop with
- 21:49the cop and we usually give five kids two hundred dollars, but that year
- 21:55the funds that they weren't there, so I basically approached the chief and said,
- 21:59hey, I'd like to do a toy drive. My idea at the
- 22:00time was really just taking our pickup truck and going under the Interstate or at
- 22:03an intersection and really hoping to get maybe a truckload of toys. You know,
- 22:11one thing led to another. During the Cassie Johnson's funeral, I was
- 22:15standing in the Civic Center and looking over the Minnie Keeman's parking lot and all
- 22:18the police officers cars were lit up in blue unfortunately, and it gave me
- 22:22the idea, maybe this would be a good place to have our toy drive.
- 22:26And then I've received a call from Astorgatto and Lows and helped me decorate
- 22:33and provide the funds to kick it off that year and we went from really
- 22:37a small idea to serving over seven hundred and fifty children. Over seven hundred
- 22:40and fifty children and again this started out as a Charleston think, but it's
- 22:44gone well beyond that now. Oh sure, Yeah, we have Astore god
- 22:47Or like I said, they're involved there. They're big sponsor to pull this,
- 22:49to help us pull this off. Really without them, it wouldn't be
- 22:53as big as it is. And without the help from the community also.
- 22:56Yeah, and speaking of the community, I've brought this up and you've been
- 23:00on the show in the past. If people are listening today and they're part
- 23:03of a church or a civic organization or a business or individuals or whatever.
- 23:08You'll take whatever help that they can give right, Oh, for sure,
- 23:11And no donation is too small. We have a we have a site on
- 23:15our Facebook page where you can actually donate online. We take monetary donations.
- 23:19If you come through the drive through, you write in a check just right
- 23:22after CPAA A. But sure, I mean opportunities there for us to help
- 23:29out this holiday season. Vede Valancho on five. Any Live is broad to
- 23:32part by General Hardware and Lumber of Winfield. Get with them for your quote
- 23:34before you start your project. If you're trying to sorting through a bunch of
- 23:37crooked boards, get a General Hardware lumber. They have a straight quality lumber
- 23:41you're looking for, with great pricing and the service you would expect from a
- 23:44locally owned business. And there's a little added incentive Lieutenant for people that come
- 23:51through the line today and tomorrow. Correct. So Tick fil A has helped
- 23:53us, has given us one hundred and fifty be our guest cards to help
- 23:59us reach our goal. So the first one hundred and fifty people that drop
- 24:02off of unwrapped toy will receive one of these gift cards. And everybody likes
- 24:06Chick fil A, right, everybody. It's the Lord's chick out. That's
- 24:10what they that's what they say about it. But I will say this about
- 24:12the folks at Chick fil A, Tom men Turned and those folks we've had,
- 24:15I mean, anytime that there's ever when we do our radiothons that we
- 24:18do here, they always provide food for us any time we're doing anything out
- 24:22in the community. I wish all corporations because I always preach shop locally,
- 24:29shop locally, but you know, these locations are locally owned, and I
- 24:33wish all corporations across the country would give back as much to the community as
- 24:37Chick fil A does, because they really do a great job, specifically here
- 24:40in the Kanaal Valley. Oh for sure. Sometimes I wonder how they actually
- 24:42pull it off, because they've always come to our aid when we've asked.
- 24:47Yeah, indeed, uh so, uh, let's kind of put put the
- 24:52bow on it here, no pun intended. So it starts in about what
- 24:56an hour, an hour and a half, starts at eleven eleven o'clock.
- 25:00So, so Dave tells me, the more time he spends here, the
- 25:02last time he has toliff boxes. That's right strategic, Lauren. Lauren and
- 25:07Dave were going to say, I was I was on the radio for eight
- 25:08hours. Man a lot to talk about. So it starts eleven o'clock this
- 25:14morning goes until what time, This evening goes until seven, so Santa will
- 25:17arrive at noon. We had the children, like I said, from the
- 25:21the Kingdom Learning Academy, They're going to perform for Santa and actually drops toys
- 25:26off for Sanna. It's they're they're really excited about being there. But yeah,
- 25:30we'll be there all the way till seven o'clock to night, and then
- 25:32you'll be there tomorrowmorrowm eleven to seven, eleven to seven tomorrow. So,
- 25:36uh, if if you can break away from work and go down there,
- 25:38if you can come after work, I mean, and there's a lot of
- 25:41things going on all everybody's busy during the holiday season. But with so much
- 25:45going on, take a couple of minutes down there because and Dave Weill and
- 25:48Lauren will kind of close with this, that smile that you see on a
- 25:53kid's face when they get that toy at Christmas, and we don't know these
- 25:59kids, and you know, you're into police business, Dave. A lot
- 26:02of these kids, you know, they they face things that people of our
- 26:07generation, probably kids of our generation, never had to face. And this
- 26:11may be in many cases it is the only gift that they get this Christmas
- 26:15season, oh for sure. For sure. And we and we really see
- 26:18the appreciation coming from the parents once we deliver these toys. Some of them
- 26:22are individually delivered. You know. We actually use a lot of these toys
- 26:26to for the victims of crime that we've come across throughout the years. So
- 26:30yeah, all these toys go to a good cause, and we really appreciate
- 26:33everyone's help. That's a really good point that you brought that up. And
- 26:37that's something else I may have you on the show to talk about at another
- 26:40time is when an officer or officers go into a situation, you know like
- 26:45this, sometimes you need to diffuse the situation because a lot of them have
- 26:49been taught that police are bad, you know, or they're just scared.
- 26:52I mean it's you know, this is mommy and daddy or whatever's going on
- 26:56in their house. And you utilize some of these toys and things of that
- 27:00nature for that purpose as well. Oh, correct, and it's been a
- 27:03huge help just to you know, to to relax a child, just to
- 27:07bring them on our side, that to know that we are their friend,
- 27:11that we're there to help them, and they and they actually remember that.
- 27:14There's so many times where kids come up to me throughout the year and thank
- 27:18me and know my name or say hi. So it's it's really helpful.
- 27:22All right, Well, guys, we wish you the best of luck.
- 27:23Again. You're eleven to seven to day and tomorrow and uh, first first
- 27:26ones that come through the line, we're going to give you a coupon for
- 27:30for some Chick fil A. You got music out there. Weather is fantastic,
- 27:34can't beat it for this time of year. So we wish you the
- 27:37best of luck with everything. It's a wonderful, wonderful thing you guys are
- 27:40doing. Lauren, you're doing a great job with the with the with the
- 27:42social media aspect of and the graphic design, everything that you do. And
- 27:45Lieutenant Payne you're a rock star man. You just keep doing what you do
- 27:48out there. We appreciate you. Thanks, thank you absolutely all right,
- 27:52Uh, let me just hang out with me here one second. We'll get

- 32:00Good morning, sir, Thank good morning, Dave gread to be with you.
- 32:02Thank you for being here. Let's get right to it. These the
- 32:07comments that you made last week during the gubernatorial forum debate whatever you want to
- 32:13call it, with Hoppy in Morgantown. The comments were not only big news
- 32:16here in West Virginia, but also nationwide. During the gubernatorial debate last Thursday
- 32:23night of Morgantown, that's when you sent a broadcast course here on Metro News
- 32:28and all of our stations, you said about the twenty twenty presidential election that
- 32:31it was it was stolen in part by the CIA, the FBI, big
- 32:37Tech. Do you stand by the comments, sir, and what do you
- 32:39base this on? Absolutely? I do recall it's a bit ironic. I
- 32:45said the same thing back in April in front of Congress. I testified to
- 32:49that, and we put out a press release on it. So it's kind
- 32:51of funny that here we are six months later and it's now making big news.
- 32:53But it's because I'm in a gubernatorial race, and you know the way,
- 32:58And Hoppy asked the question. Hoppy was looking for a yes or no
- 33:00answer, and Hoppy's a talk show host and he gets listeners both sometimes having
- 33:05controversy, and he got the controversial answer he wanted when I said yes.
- 33:09And here's the background to that. It's yes because it was an improper it's
- 33:14an unfair election generated by Tony Blinken, who was on Biden's campaign, who
- 33:20went to the former acting CIA director Mike Morell and said, look, the
- 33:24Hunter Biden laptop is going to be breaking news and we have to have a
- 33:29talking point for Biden when Trump brings this up in the debate. And so
- 33:34Morell ran with that, and he got fifty one so called intelligence experts to
- 33:37sign a letter that said the Russian had the Russians had hacked Hunter Biden's laptop,
- 33:44it was Russian disinformation. Well, they both knew that it wasn't and
- 33:47this isn't my opinion. Morell has testified to that under oath. To Jim
- 33:52Jordan, the House Judiciary Chair, he did this in March, and he
- 33:55said, yes, we did that for the express purpose of helping Joe Biden.
- 34:00We did not want Trump to be president. So this isn't conjecture or
- 34:04you know my opinion, this is fact that they've admitted to under oath.
- 34:07And so this was done to change the outcome of the election. And it
- 34:12worked because at the debate Biden used that and it put Trump back on his
- 34:15heels, and there wasn't time between the time of the debate and the election
- 34:20to fact check and get it all out. Well, now here we are
- 34:22two years later. And it took two years, Dave, because the Republicans
- 34:27had to get elected in twenty twenty two November twenty twenty two, and then
- 34:30start holding these hearings in this year January fevery March of this year, and
- 34:36that's when all this started to come out. So that's why we're still talking
- 34:38about this two and three years later. And so when Hoppy asked that question,
- 34:44was it stolen? Had I answered no, then I wouldn't be true
- 34:47to the people of West Virginia. In this unique position of being the chief
- 34:52elections officer for the state of West Virginia, and I owe it to the
- 34:55people to share what information I have. There's probably nobody in this state that
- 35:00has studied this more, looked into it more than I have, and I
- 35:04owe it to people. It's kind of the oath that I led I had
- 35:07as a cadet at West Point, that a cadet will lie, cheaters,
- 35:09deal or tolerate those who do well. The FBI tolerated this lie. They
- 35:15tolerated it by not coming clean. Senator John Kennedy from Now in Louisiana had
- 35:22Christopher Ray, the FBI director, under oath recently and he asked him,
- 35:27why didn't you just come clean with the American people. You didn't have to
- 35:29say Hunter Biden was guilty of anything. Just come clean and say yes,
- 35:32the laptop was real. And he didn't have an answer, So the FBI
- 35:37covered it up, and then it got worse. The FBI went to big
- 35:39Tech and told them to suppress the story, and so you saw Trump being
- 35:43taken off of Twitter. Mark Zuckerberg has admitted to Joe Rogan on his show
- 35:47that yes, the FBI came and told us to suppress the story. So
- 35:52now we're getting into First Amendment rates, the right to free speech and being
- 35:54suppressed. So this is just about as bad as bad can get that this
- 35:59is happening in the United States of America by our own three thatttered agencies.
- 36:04We don't want three thatttered agencies to determine the outcome of an election. We
- 36:07want the American voters to determine that. So that's why we're talking about it.
- 36:12That's why it's important so that we watch for this and don't have this
- 36:15happened to us again in next year's election. Talking to mac one Er against
- 36:19Secretary of Staying Canada for Governor of the Secretary. What do you make of
- 36:22the fact, though, that this has been adjudicated in courts after court after
- 36:27court and they found no merit to the claims. Well, this hasn't been
- 36:31adjudicated day. What you're talking about some specific cases in state courts. See
- 36:36down in Georgia, they wouldn't even appoint a judge to hear the case until
- 36:38after the action was certified and the inauguration has happened. So on that's gamesmanship.
- 36:44It's called lawfair. The one time is using law to try to make
- 36:47their case. So this sort of thing has not been adjudicated. This is
- 36:52the FBI lying to the American people in the military. We call it a
- 36:55psychological operation. You see, I might do this in some other country,
- 37:00but they shouldn't be doing that here in the United States. And that's why
- 37:01it's so important to hold them accountable, call them out. Jim Jordan is
- 37:06doing that with the OSS Judiciary Committee. Other Senators are now on board,
- 37:09asking those same questions so that the voters can go to the polls well educated
- 37:15next time and not have the pulled over their aspect they did in twenty twenty
- 37:20talk with Mack Warner, and again full disclosure in those who listened to this
- 37:22show daily note, I worked for you for four years, starting in January
- 37:27twenty seventeen, until I left on what I hope was good terms in the
- 37:30summer of twenty twenty one. And I know that during that time the state
- 37:32of West Virginia MIC was recognized nationally by various groups for election integrity. I
- 37:37heard you say that when you're on a hobby show with Dave Wilson yesterday,
- 37:42for doing things right in no small part to the hard work of West Virginia's
- 37:45county clerks working in conjunction with your office. Are you concerned that some election
- 37:52officials sre in here in West Virginia may be maybe bothered by the comments that
- 37:58you made that maybe you're bringing into question the integrity of their of their brethren
- 38:00and elections in the elections business in other parts of the country. Have you
- 38:05heard from any of them or is that something that concerned you? Nobody has
- 38:07raised that with me. You see, there was another thing. Back to
- 38:12my West Point days. We prayed every week at Cadet prayer that says,
- 38:15in Dallas, with courage to know no fear when truth and ripe are in
- 38:19jeopardy. Well, I think truth and right are jeopardy when our three hundred
- 38:22agencies are working against basic democracy. It also says, choose the harder right
- 38:28instead of easier wrong. It's not easy to take on hopekirchil Okay and three
- 38:31hundred agencies. All right, but this is what's required of me with the
- 38:37oath that I've taken, And the other is to not be content with a
- 38:42half truth when the whole can be one. What the CIA was doing was
- 38:45playing with these half truths. They said it has all the indisha of Russia
- 38:50disinformation, Well, they knew that that was going to get paid out,
- 38:52that it was Russian distance information and so on. And so my oath as
- 38:55a commissioned officer was that I would support and defend the Constitution of the United
- 39:00States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. And I've never had to worry
- 39:04about the domestic part until right now. This is the first time in my
- 39:07entire career, five decades of service to the state and to the country,
- 39:12that I've ever had to worry about this domestic enemy, and that is our
- 39:15own federal government. I really never thought that I would have to worry about
- 39:21our own federal government, but here we are. So that's why it's important
- 39:23to talk about it. And I appreciate you having me on so I can
- 39:25explain in more detail rather than just a yes or no answer about an election
- 39:30that was taken by trickery. You know, last week you'reing that debate,
- 39:34and I watched it, and I appeared on talk Line the next day.
- 39:37Matter of fact, I'm going to be on with Dave Wilson coming up at
- 39:38ten thirty this morning on talk Line, that roundtable discussion yourself Attorney General Patrick
- 39:45Morrissey, Well, he wasn't actually there, but he is one of the
- 39:47candidates, auto dealer, Chris middle Deelli get to more Capital all. You
- 39:52know, I think you would be safe to say that they are all supporters
- 39:58of Trump. I don't know that any has gone to the link though,
- 40:00that you have in discussing this. Because this story, Mac, I mean
- 40:06immediately after it happened and you uttered those words last Thursday night, it went
- 40:10nationwide. I mean Brad's story that he did on it ended up on the
- 40:15Drudge Report. I know You've had interest from some pretty big name talk show
- 40:17host on the talk show circuing Fox News, some of these other outlets.
- 40:23Are you Are you surprised at the reaction that this has gotten well only because
- 40:30we did this six months ago. I raised it right after the testimony when
- 40:34Morell admitted to all of this, and I went to Congress and I raised
- 40:37it at that time, and we put out press release and it didn't get
- 40:39much attention. But now again because I'm running for governor, it has gotten
- 40:44some wider attention and acclaim. And I think people are half the this country
- 40:50has divided. Half of the country want Trump back in there in the worst
- 40:52sort of way, and half the country will do anything they can to stop
- 40:54it. And this is evidence of those people inside our government. They're going
- 40:59to do anything they can to stop it. So they see that this is
- 41:02what's coming in twenty twenty four, and that's why it's so important that we
- 41:07do look back, we analyze what happened, and then prevent it from happening
- 41:09again. Let's have a free and fair election and then see how the chips
- 41:14fall. But we shouldn't be having this influence in proper influence by federal officials
- 41:22weighing in on the election. So let's give credit back to those county clerks
- 41:24that I've worked with very closely now for seven years. We've had That's why
- 41:28West Virginia is doing so well. We have a very clean election system that
- 41:31the legislature is laid out, and we abide by the rules. We don't
- 41:35change the rules in the middle of the game like Pennsylvania did, Michigan,
- 41:37Wisconsin, Arizona and others. That's where the problems occurred when you used unsupervised
- 41:44drop boxes and just allow people to shove ballots in there and the rest.
- 41:47Melson just did a poll here that was released. I saw it yesterday,
- 41:52said twenty one percent of the people that voted by mail cheated in some form
- 41:55or fashion, you know, sending filling a ballot out for their wife or
- 41:59whatever, not signing it and that sort of thing. We have to be
- 42:01very careful about this voting by mail. You want to vote in person at
- 42:06your local precinct under the watchful life train observers of both parties voting on election
- 42:10day. That's the most secure form of voting, and only if the legislature
- 42:14has given you an authorized reason to vote absentee that should be very limited in
- 42:20number. And traditionally West Virginia has voted in person on election day. Before
- 42:24COVID, we only had about seven thousand people voting statewide using the absentee system,
- 42:30and so we've gotten back closer to that now that COVID's over with,
- 42:35and I hope we can continue to move in that direction. Voter ID we
- 42:37have implemented that very successfully here in West Virginia, and we report results on
- 42:43election night. All of those are the things that add confidence to elections.
- 42:45And while we're seeing some record turnout in West Virginia, and I sure hope
- 42:50that we do that again in twenty twenty four. Again, Mike, for
- 42:53the record, are because I've heard you say trickery and I've heard you say
- 42:59stolen. For the record, I'm uninterrupt I'm gonna let you say, do
- 43:02you believe that the twenty twenty presidential election was indeed stolen? Or the Joe
- 43:08Biden? Do you recognize Joe Biden as President of the United States? I
- 43:13recognized Joe as president? But is it legitimate? When you add that word
- 43:16legitimate, now you start to get into another realm. And I love to
- 43:21use the football analogy of the nineteen ninety Colorado Missouri game when Colorado got five
- 43:25downs and they scored on the fifth down and win the game. They won
- 43:29the game, they advanced onto the National Championship. Okay, but was it
- 43:34legitimate? No, the rules of football say you don't have five downs,
- 43:37you get four downs. And so when a ref makes a bad call at
- 43:39the end of a game, what what does every loyal Mountaineer yell, Oh,
- 43:44the game was stolen. So I don't want to get into the you
- 43:46know what the definition definition of stolen is, but if you actually look at
- 43:51it, it's taking something by trickery fits that definition of stolen when you do
- 43:57it deceitful, when you do it surreptitiously. And that's what happened in this
- 44:00election, and I don't want it to happen again. Mac Warner, Secretary
- 44:05of State and a candidate for governor. We wish you the best luck with

- 46:50because what you don't know can hurt you. Going to try to get to
- 46:52as many of these text as I can. Text says ask Mike Warner to
- 46:55correct the lies. The Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shay Moss committed fraud
- 47:00of the twenty twenty election. They were undisputedly defamed, Yet Warner tolerates the
- 47:05lives about Freeman and Moss doesn't even care that those lives cause death threats.
- 47:10If Mac appears on your shows, a candidate in secretary of state who's paying
- 47:14for his time, says a textri can the taxpayers get reimbursed for his use
- 47:17of government time for personal political errands. Well, I'm going to go down
- 47:21that one. You're gonna have to do that for every politician, regardless of
- 47:24party. Tex says it was not the FBI that suppressed the votes. It
- 47:29was a group of folks with foreign policy experience. Also, Trump was kicked
- 47:34off Twitter after January sixth. One thing I don't agree with mac Warner on
- 47:38is the fact that Twitter, Facebook, whatever, they're private entities. They
- 47:44can kick off whoever they want. They're just like their business. It's not
- 47:47free speech, not censorship because they're not controlled by the government. I will
- 47:51say that tech, says Mac Warner. Operating the Secretary of State's office with
- 47:54integrity has now lost all integrity, and my respect is a texture. What
- 48:01a blank loser? Says a Texter, blank being the key thing there,
- 48:06Texas. Former CIA people say a lot of things. Lots of former federal
- 48:09employees say all kinds of things. Crazy town. Trump was taking off Twitter
- 48:14because of the insurrection and nothing else. Tex says. He used to say
- 48:19the election was stolen. Now he says it was by trickery. Snake oil
- 48:22salesman, says a Texter. Texas says, oh so, now the man
- 48:24who won is now an illegitimate president. This is third world foolishness. By
- 48:30the way, you ask good questions, says a texture text says, how
- 48:38do you feel about having a new Trump extremist on your show? Why give
- 48:42this not a platform for anything? Maybe he'll get a Trump endorsement to help
- 48:45his struggling campaign. Well, I give him, and I give him a
- 48:47platform because it's called free speech, and because he asked for it, just
- 48:52as Mike Pushkin, Greg Thomas, all the others asked for it. Because
- 48:57I turned no one away here and he's a candidate for governor and he's Secretary
- 49:00of State tex says Dave. I was leaning toward Patrick Morrison, but now
- 49:05I'm going to vote for Mac Warner. He's a man of courage, maturity,
- 49:07and common sense. His experience and government affairs will make him a great
- 49:10governor, U Texas, Dude's full of it. It was Trump's CIA,
- 49:15FBI, et cetera. I hate this man with a passion for his dire
- 49:17weakness and pathetic subservience to Trump. What an absolute MANI man, a tiny,
- 49:22worthless soul of emasculated pleading to his masters. I cannot wait until he
- 49:28vanishes into the conspiracy trash where all theffeckless goons disappear. Those are some pretty
- 49:34pretty big words there, uh. Tex says Macwarner needs a psychological operation.
- 49:40Texas, forget Mike Warner and his dead brain views. I want to hear
- 49:43Hollywood Jeff's opinion on the Dodgers shining shohey a Tani, Well, we'll do
- 49:47that on another show. Maybe we'll do that on Friday show. We'll talk
- 49:51a little sports then, ud Texas, Warner took voters off the rolls that
- 49:58not voted in two years it was still living. He should not taken anyone
- 50:00off the rolls unless they request to be taken off. Editor's note. I
- 50:04did work in the Secretary of State's office, and there was a big process
- 50:07that led to taking hundreds of thousands of people off the voter roles, including
- 50:10contacting them on two different occasions and asking them if they would like to remain
- 50:15on the voter rolls, and if they heard nothing, then they were taken
- 50:17off. I do know something about that. Tex says, does he think
- 50:22Trump stole the election from Clinton? She was up double digits and he won.
- 50:30Fixes Shame on Warner using West Point as he blows the dog whistle for
- 50:35the cult Trump was president and over the FBI and CIA in twenty twenty.
- 50:39This typical fear mongering to those who are easily led astray disappointed he would stoop
- 50:44so low. What proof, says a Texter secretary, Warner had, that
- 50:49this one issue was enough to sway the election? More conspiracy theories that the
- 50:52election was stolen. I expect better from our state officials. Won't be voting
- 50:57for Mike Warner Texas. What a total joke. Corner is an embarrassment to
- 51:00the people who worked hard on election integrity, says a texture but Dave Island,
