- 2:27Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Son of a Boy Dad podcast.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Today.
- 2:30Speaker 4: It is.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It is October twenty first.
- 2:37Speaker 4: October twenty first. It's eleven eleven, am. Make a wish.
- 2:42Speaker 5: October goes faster than any month of the year. Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 5: Probably stand on that business.
- 2:46Speaker 1: You kind of go all the same rate, just the
- 2:48Speaker 1: standard rate of time.
- 2:50Speaker 5: You know, no more than.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I'm with you and I are on the same page
- 2:57Speaker 1: always because I brought it in. Tomorrow's a treat for
- 3:01Speaker 1: all of us. I have my Tamali. Francis wolfed his

- 3:07Speaker 1: won't touch it or shas one touches tomorrow.
- 3:09Speaker 4: No, I said, I'll have my Tomali after the show.
- 3:11Speaker 1: It's a hot, hot tomal Tamali.
- 3:14Speaker 4: You want a cold I think I'm gonna throw it
- 3:16Speaker 4: in the air fryer when I get home. Moist it
- 3:18Speaker 4: got extra cooking on it. Make sure it's all the
- 3:21Speaker 4: bacteria is gone.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Why would there be any bacteria. That's street phobic.
- 3:24Speaker 4: You got it, You got it on the street.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah, you're xenophobic. You're deeply racist. If you don't eat
- 3:30Speaker 1: the street met you.
- 3:32Speaker 4: They literally have bothas on the subway.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Yeah, all the way over. You eat Dominoes three in
- 3:37Speaker 5: the morning, So you.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Know that's different. That's clean.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And these are front clean. These are front facing immigrants.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I buy it from. You're buying from back of house
- 3:45Speaker 1: immigrants at the fucking Dominoes who aren't even like the
- 3:48Speaker 1: cash register.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Dominoes is it's you know, it's a proper restaurant.
- 3:55Speaker 5: His immigrants are hearing the footsteps of ie. Oh yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 5: they have to be mobile, you know how like when
- 3:59Speaker 5: you roll pass over the middle and like your slot receiver, right,
- 4:03Speaker 5: he won't catch it. Footsteps. Yeah, they're hearing the boots.
- 4:09Speaker 5: Yeah of ice exact towards this is hot.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Was just like fucking duck and they're.
- 4:14Speaker 5: One undercooked turo away from heading back.
- 4:18Speaker 1: And that's how they that's how they determine it. If
- 4:20Speaker 1: you give it rotten street food, the ice will be
- 4:22Speaker 1: on your ass.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Yeah, a turo?
- 4:24Speaker 1: You got a churro in know that so has a
- 4:27Speaker 1: subway turo. The subway tros are the most disgusting thing.
- 4:30Speaker 1: They've been there since the nineteen seventies. It's the same
- 4:33Speaker 1: stack of like two hundred high fucking truros.
- 4:37Speaker 5: You know the ones I'm talking about, of course I do.
- 4:40Speaker 5: And I never understand how that works because I don't
- 4:42Speaker 5: know who's Like, I got three minutes till the A train,
- 4:45Speaker 5: just enough time for a chure.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Oh thank god? Like lady walking by, Yeah, thank god,
- 4:52Speaker 4: I was starving.
- 4:53Speaker 1: You buy a bag and they fucking put eighteen in
- 4:56Speaker 1: there because they know that they're so bad that they
- 4:58Speaker 1: might as well give you volume as opposed to quality.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Churo's got to be a pretty cheap, cheap product to make.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah it's tomali. Yeah it's tomali and cinnamon without the corn.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Yeah is a corn?
- 5:11Speaker 1: What is the dough of truro?
- 5:12Speaker 5: I would think it's just bread dough. Yeah, and they
- 5:15Speaker 5: fry it and then roll it. It's pretty much the
- 5:18Speaker 5: same thing as fried dough.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it's definitely frip, but they've served at like high
- 5:25Speaker 1: end restaurants now with like a mole chocolate dipping sauce
- 5:29Speaker 1: fried dough.
- 5:30Speaker 4: No, sure, oh yeah I've seen that.
- 5:32Speaker 5: No you haven't. Yeah, I have.
- 5:35Speaker 4: I've seen I've seen like you know, photos videos, I've
- 5:40Speaker 4: ever seen it in person. Was a but I I
- 5:44Speaker 4: thought you meant they started serving fried dough at restaurants
- 5:46Speaker 4: that would be funny.
- 5:48Speaker 1: What do you mean, like a funnel cake?
- 5:51Speaker 4: I don't know. Have you ever had fried do look
- 5:53Speaker 4: at like a fair?
- 5:54Speaker 1: Yeah? Like funnel cake is just fried dough.
- 5:56Speaker 4: He's never had fried dough. I don't know if you've
- 5:58Speaker 4: a man who's never had fried really, what's the difference?
- 6:01Speaker 5: What do you think? Yeah, like fried dough is the
- 6:04Speaker 5: funnel cake. What pounded out chicken cutlets are to a
- 6:09Speaker 5: full breast. Fried dough is like flat, a little bubbly.
- 6:14Speaker 5: It's like a non yeah yeah, yeah, but it's thin,
- 6:17Speaker 5: it's crispy.
- 6:18Speaker 4: It's like American And if you're if.
- 6:19Speaker 5: You're lucky, you'll get like a little pool of the
- 6:21Speaker 5: oil in.
- 6:22Speaker 4: One of the little bunch of powdered sugar.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Powdered sugar, brown sugar.
- 6:27Speaker 1: What is it?
- 6:27Speaker 5: So?
- 6:29Speaker 4: I had it's a fair food.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Is it a New England thing or is it is everywhere?
- 6:34Speaker 4: I have a hard time believing it is fried dough?
- 6:37Speaker 1: Have you had fried dough? See?
- 6:40Speaker 5: I'm thinking it might be a New England thing. Dude,
- 6:42Speaker 5: it's just.
- 6:43Speaker 4: News to me.
- 6:44Speaker 5: It's great.
- 6:45Speaker 4: You should try it.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, really, cake is just like it's just it's
- 6:52Speaker 1: drizzled like yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Interesting. I never really maybe I've never had funnel.
- 6:56Speaker 5: I don't think. I'm quite sure I've never had we're
- 6:59Speaker 5: talking about.
- 6:59Speaker 1: The exacting corn and maize.
- 7:03Speaker 4: I think I've never never had.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Me speaking of corn mazes, have you guys ever gone
- 7:07Speaker 5: to haunted hay ride? Did you have those? Yeah?
- 7:11Speaker 4: But of course I don't think I ever went to
- 7:13Speaker 4: like a real one.
- 7:15Speaker 1: They're awesome.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Why didn't you go to the real ones.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Like a haunted house, a haunted hay.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Rode, hunted hay ride. And I said, hey ride, and
- 7:22Speaker 5: don't you dare tell me?
- 7:23Speaker 4: I said no, no, you said hey ride. I'm just
- 7:25Speaker 4: trying to get a get a good idea of what's
- 7:27Speaker 4: a picture here.
- 7:28Speaker 1: We're talking to go Now, you're on the back of
- 7:30Speaker 1: a truck that has bales of hay and people sit
- 7:33Speaker 1: on it, and there's frights and spooks.
- 7:35Speaker 4: I've been on the back of a hay truck or
- 7:37Speaker 4: of a truck while people sit on Hey, but we
- 7:40Speaker 4: weren't telling scary stories.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Ours was either it's not like a do it yourself
- 7:46Speaker 5: spook a fon it's uh, it's more like they they
- 7:51Speaker 5: have people in the woods with masks on and and.
- 7:55Speaker 4: It's like a drive through horror. Or yeah, it's like a.
- 7:58Speaker 5: Yeah, we had a really good and gorham Maine. It
- 8:01Speaker 5: was really scary, I'm sure. And the tractor with the
- 8:05Speaker 5: hay tractor part was pulled by a tractor. It was
- 8:08Speaker 5: pulled by a tractor. At one point that the real
- 8:10Speaker 5: big spook of the whole time was when they had
- 8:14Speaker 5: an eighteen wheeler that out of nowhere would turn on
- 8:17Speaker 5: its lights and drive at you like and stop because
- 8:22Speaker 5: they had some logs that would stop it quickly as
- 8:26Speaker 5: if it was going to hit you.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Imagine the driver. Was that just getting fucking whiplashed every time?
- 8:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean like a tush push.
- 8:32Speaker 1: You're like, fuck me.
- 8:33Speaker 5: These were kids, you know, kids driving the eighteen wheeler,
- 8:36Speaker 5: kids driving the tractor.
- 8:38Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 8:39Speaker 1: That is fucking nuts. I went to one recently, and
- 8:41Speaker 1: they had like a haunted monster truck that you could
- 8:44Speaker 1: rip through a corn field, like you sit in the
- 8:46Speaker 1: back of it and strap in like six people at
- 8:48Speaker 1: a time. It was fucking sick.
- 8:50Speaker 5: That is cool.
- 8:52Speaker 1: It was like an outdoor one you could booze beforehand.
- 8:55Speaker 1: There was an area for the adults. You kind of
- 8:57Speaker 1: get almost like a cabana type area. Yeah, you're just
- 9:00Speaker 1: booze and you have a section of booze. Where was
- 9:02Speaker 1: this Probably a pencil rural Pennsylvania.
- 9:04Speaker 4: It sounds like two years ago. Oh, I thought you
- 9:07Speaker 4: meant you went like last week.
- 9:08Speaker 1: No, I didn't want to go back with children. There's
- 9:10Speaker 1: so many activities for children in the fall.
- 9:12Speaker 5: I know, the most daring people on the hay ride
- 9:15Speaker 5: would sit on the end with their legs dangling off,
- 9:19Speaker 5: and I would do that, and then I would wiggle
- 9:21Speaker 5: them to make sure that the guys in the masks knew.
- 9:23Speaker 5: I wasn't that scared. You're not doing it?
- 9:28Speaker 1: Did you have a boyish joy to you?
- 9:30Speaker 4: Yeah? And I never I never went to one of those,
- 9:33Speaker 4: and I've been to I went to a couple haunted houses,
- 9:35Speaker 4: I think, but when I was very young, I was
- 9:38Speaker 4: never big into it.
- 9:39Speaker 5: What about what about some of these interactive haunted houses.
- 9:42Speaker 5: I'm sure we've talked about.
- 9:43Speaker 4: This before, but when they like touch you.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Yeah, the ones that are like truly psychologically traumatically altering.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't.
- 9:52Speaker 5: You go into a room and there's a woman being
- 9:55Speaker 5: like suffocated with a plastic bag, ye target or something.
- 10:00Speaker 4: She's like screaming.
- 10:01Speaker 5: It was you could just see the mouth part kind
- 10:04Speaker 5: of going, and you're like, I only need a finger,
- 10:09Speaker 5: Do you mind? Can I just save her life really quick?
- 10:14Speaker 5: You can't. There's no way. The bag is taught, it's
- 10:17Speaker 5: got duct tape around the neck. What are we doing here? People?
- 10:23Speaker 1: Did you guys watch Task Still Having?
- 10:26Speaker 4: Still Having?
- 10:26Speaker 1: There's a second to last episode. This is something like
- 10:30Speaker 1: that happens.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Oh yeah yeah, yah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, oh yeah.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Yeah that of course.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I just poked a finger through.
- 10:40Speaker 5: That's a tough way, tough way to go.
- 10:41Speaker 4: I don't think you could take me out with a
- 10:42Speaker 4: plastic bag.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Oh definitely, you could take it without. You could take
- 10:46Speaker 1: him out. Take you out with a newspaper, a wet newspaper.
- 10:54Speaker 5: Like a big glass of water too quickly.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I think New York Times from like twenty years ago
- 11:02Speaker 1: could get you.
- 11:03Speaker 4: I remember one time I put a plastic bag over
- 11:05Speaker 4: my own head to see what would happen. So I
- 11:06Speaker 4: was like, everyone was like, it's so like, never put
- 11:09Speaker 4: a plastic bag on your head. It's just so dangerous.
- 11:12Speaker 4: And I was like, there's no way, it's that dangerous.
- 11:15Speaker 4: And then I put it over my head and I
- 11:16Speaker 4: didn't like tighten it. I thought it was like, as
- 11:19Speaker 4: soon as it went over my head, I Was going
- 11:20Speaker 4: to like explode or some shit. And I put it
- 11:23Speaker 4: over and nothing happened. Took it off.
- 11:25Speaker 1: How did you guys both do this?
- 11:26Speaker 5: Is this? I curiosity every every door that said do
- 11:31Speaker 5: not enter. When I was a kid, I fucking went through. Yeah,
- 11:34Speaker 5: I went to I remember going to a museum with
- 11:36Speaker 5: my family and there was a fire exit and it
- 11:41Speaker 5: had a sign that was like dude, you know fire,
- 11:43Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, And I like walked up to it, looked around,
- 11:49Speaker 5: and I just touched the metal bar that you had
- 11:53Speaker 5: to push in and immediately the alarms throughout the museum went.
- 11:58Speaker 5: I didn't push it, I did compress it. I just
- 12:01Speaker 5: touched it. And then a security guard came out and
- 12:05Speaker 5: to his credit, I mean I was seven or eight
- 12:07Speaker 5: or something like that. My face beat red and he
- 12:10Speaker 5: comes out and he like comes over and he turns
- 12:12Speaker 5: a key to stop the alarm. And my parents had
- 12:15Speaker 5: come grabbed me and they'd realized I had set this off.
- 12:17Speaker 5: And he came over and he was like, I was
- 12:19Speaker 5: watching him through the security camera. Don't do it. Don't
- 12:23Speaker 5: do it, kid, And he did it. Oh my god.
- 12:27Speaker 5: But he wasn't mad, you know.
- 12:28Speaker 4: I mean that happens. That's gonna happen all the time. Yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 4: kids love doing that. We had, We had so many kids,
- 12:35Speaker 4: Like I remember being in multiple like places where just
- 12:38Speaker 4: a kid would pull the fire alarm and like the
- 12:40Speaker 4: whole day it was fucked.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean on this job, you've done that. On
- 12:45Speaker 1: what most Dangerous Game show? You grabbed a walkie talking
- 12:49Speaker 1: into one.
- 12:53Speaker 4: That's a little different.
- 12:54Speaker 1: No, no, it's the exact same thing. It's not being
- 12:57Speaker 1: able to control your impulses a little.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Bit different in a in a different way. Well, the
- 13:03Speaker 4: fire alarm is like you just got to take a
- 13:05Speaker 4: couple of like just walk away, you know what.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Same with the walkie talkie, just walk away.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Right by me all day.
- 13:12Speaker 5: Yell.
- 13:13Speaker 4: It's like if you were walking around with the fire alarm.
- 13:15Speaker 1: It's like you It's like when you see a cops
- 13:18Speaker 1: gun on his hip and you're like, I could just
- 13:19Speaker 1: fucking grab it. The fucking walkie talkie just dangling off
- 13:23Speaker 1: that guy's waist and you grabbed it off him.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Apparently the cops guns have like a certain holster now
- 13:29Speaker 4: so that you can't grab it.
- 13:30Speaker 5: It's got the button thing. Yeah, but if you know
- 13:31Speaker 5: your way around, you can get in there.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Talk about the angle.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I'm sure the only ones who are perplexed by it.
- 13:37Speaker 1: What do I do here?
- 13:40Speaker 8: Uh?
- 13:41Speaker 5: I think that you know, in lieu of meeting Travis
- 13:45Speaker 5: Pastrana on my Make a Wish, what I would prefer
- 13:49Speaker 5: is a day filled with being allowed to pull the
- 13:52Speaker 5: levers and press the buttons that we are so forbidden
- 13:55Speaker 5: from doing our whole lives. So, you know, just day
- 14:01Speaker 5: on an airplane it can be parked, I get to
- 14:04Speaker 5: pull the emergency exit. That's the slide, unfurl watch the slide,
- 14:10Speaker 5: just totally. Yeah, that would be nice, like a tongue.
- 14:11Speaker 4: I wouldn't even hate just opening the door. Yeah, that'd
- 14:14Speaker 4: be fun to like just just doing the latch.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that big red latch on the main door
- 14:19Speaker 1: that everybody walks in. I mean I feel like that
- 14:22Speaker 1: would that immediately depressurize the cabin and kill everybody and
- 14:25Speaker 1: stuck everyone out of the plane.
- 14:26Speaker 4: Or oh if you open that in the area, Yeah,
- 14:28Speaker 4: depends on your altitude, right, no, yeah, but it wouldn't.
- 14:31Speaker 4: I don't think it would be good for any altitude.
- 14:33Speaker 1: How high? Will probably skydivers open the door.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I'm true.
- 14:38Speaker 5: So if you're at I don't know, I don't know
- 14:40Speaker 5: where the altitude is that.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Jump from ten thousand feet.
- 14:45Speaker 4: I feel like if you guys one of those doors
- 14:47Speaker 4: on a commercial flight.
- 14:49Speaker 5: At cruising altitude, yeah, big drum.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Yeah for sure, But even at like ten thousand feet,
- 14:55Speaker 4: I feel like that's gonna be.
- 14:58Speaker 5: Maybe. I think that the those planes would be able
- 15:00Speaker 5: to land with that door open, but I couldn't.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Yeah, you're probably right, I think those planes are pretty much.
- 15:05Speaker 1: But it's also just imagine trying to close the door
- 15:07Speaker 1: as the fucking wind as it's going seven hundred miles
- 15:10Speaker 1: an hour.
- 15:10Speaker 4: I don't think it's possible.
- 15:12Speaker 5: This is one of those moments on the podcast where
- 15:14Speaker 5: I'm gonna either get one hundred dms being like you
- 15:17Speaker 5: fucking retard. You really think you can open a door
- 15:20Speaker 5: on a Boeing seven?
- 15:21Speaker 4: Oh, you definitely should be able to.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Or it's gonna be like you were pretty close on that.
- 15:26Speaker 5: I've worked in the federal FAA for twelve years, and
- 15:30Speaker 5: here's what happens. It's a slight turn to the left,
- 15:33Speaker 5: but most pilots can overpower it back to right.
- 15:36Speaker 1: I can't even trust Boeing anyway. Do they fucking kill
- 15:39Speaker 1: all their own fucking workers?
- 15:41Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 15:41Speaker 4: Yeah, Boeing's trouble. That's why I've always been in an airbus
- 15:44Speaker 4: man big trouble. Yeah.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I can't believe how big Boeing is. It's a fucking
- 15:51Speaker 1: massive company.
- 15:52Speaker 10: I know.
- 15:53Speaker 1: So it's like you can't They can't even be responsible
- 15:55Speaker 1: for all the desks, Like people who work there don't
- 15:57Speaker 1: even know about the desk. I'm grilling bowing people all
- 15:59Speaker 1: the time.
- 16:00Speaker 5: You know who I really like, though? It is Lockheed Martin.
- 16:03Speaker 1: The arms manufacturers.
- 16:05Speaker 5: Yeah, what do you like about them? I like the name,
- 16:08Speaker 5: it's such a good name, and I like what they do.
- 16:11Speaker 1: What is this Lockheed Martin?
- 16:12Speaker 5: I don't know what that is.
- 16:13Speaker 1: They make like weapons and bombs and uh.
- 16:16Speaker 5: They make rockets, rockets. Yeah, they make missiles.
- 16:18Speaker 4: And it's like a company. Yeah yeah, I didn't know
- 16:22Speaker 4: that there was like companies that did that. I thought
- 16:23Speaker 4: that was just like only the military knew how to
- 16:25Speaker 4: do that.
- 16:25Speaker 5: The military does contracting through them, right, So like the
- 16:29Speaker 5: Lost Martin is going to make the bombs and sell
- 16:32Speaker 5: them to the military. That's their biggest contract. For sure.
- 16:35Speaker 4: It's a tough business to be in. Why because it's
- 16:38Speaker 4: not like there, it's not like.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Your national defense like the resion.
- 16:44Speaker 11: Oh you mean morally, yeah, it's not.
- 16:47Speaker 4: It's like worse than being like a drug dealer.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Yeah, but well hold on a second. Again, that's a
- 16:52Speaker 5: very leftist take, if you most people would say, like
- 16:55Speaker 5: protecting the homeland, protecting America.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, army arming are.
- 17:00Speaker 5: Serves and stores is a noble cause.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Definitely the best way to blow up venezuela and ships
- 17:04Speaker 1: for no reason.
- 17:07Speaker 4: There and then you gotta what was that one of ours?
- 17:11Speaker 4: That one of our bombs, Like.
- 17:15Speaker 1: It couldn't have been a possible But you know how
- 17:18Speaker 1: like the Hershey's factory, there are scientists who come up
- 17:22Speaker 1: with innovative flavors for the next wave of Reese's cups.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Or whatever. Imagine being that guy at the Lockheed Martin
- 17:29Speaker 1: factory being like, I got a hot, new fucking bomb vaporizes.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Yeah, this one could take out the world. Let's put
- 17:39Speaker 4: that one up to the side for a little bit.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Just bomb creators, like a bomb innovators.
- 17:44Speaker 4: I mean it must it must. Is it hard to
- 17:47Speaker 4: make like a missile? Probably not, god like, I mean obviously,
- 17:51Speaker 4: and I can't do it. But like if you if
- 17:52Speaker 4: you have the re like, is it hard to get
- 17:54Speaker 4: the resources to make.
- 17:55Speaker 1: If those gimps from the fucking Boston bombing could make one,
- 18:00Speaker 1: I should be able to make.
- 18:00Speaker 4: I didn't mean it like that. That's not what I meant.
- 18:03Speaker 4: I didn't mean like, is it easy to make a bomb?
- 18:05Speaker 4: I meant like to make it fly through the It's
- 18:08Speaker 4: not like those guys are building like hydrogen bombs.
- 18:10Speaker 1: But it's like if you just if you can make
- 18:11Speaker 1: a paper airplane, and if you can make a bomb
- 18:14Speaker 1: with a pressure cooker, then you can make a missile.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:17Speaker 4: I bet it's even easier.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you just tape it to the back of the paper.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Take the big tip.
- 18:21Speaker 1: You'll screw it on. That's what the hunt for Red
- 18:24Speaker 1: October is kind of about they're them going from like
- 18:27Speaker 1: making like little rockets.
- 18:29Speaker 4: I bet it's like setting up like a chair.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Are you talking about October Sky?
- 18:33Speaker 1: Yes, they got the Hunt for Red October, which is
- 18:37Speaker 1: like the Sean Connery.
- 18:38Speaker 5: The Submarine movie, which I'm like, did they have lower,
- 18:42Speaker 5: smaller dreams and then their.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Way up We're going to make some rockets.
- 18:47Speaker 5: I don't remember the plot of the movie going that way. Yeah,
- 18:50Speaker 5: October Sky.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Did you guys watch that new horror movie, the one
- 18:53Speaker 4: with the Boy?
- 18:55Speaker 5: No, you only need to be more specifically the.
- 18:57Speaker 4: A twenty four to one. It's it's with the little ball.
- 19:01Speaker 4: He plays like the devil or some shit.
- 19:04Speaker 5: No, definitely, not really.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I can't believe that you don't like you didn't go
- 19:08Speaker 1: to haunted houses, but you spend all this time watching
- 19:11Speaker 1: horror movies. Wouldn't it be the same effect?
- 19:14Speaker 4: You know, I also don't love horror. I was gonna
- 19:18Speaker 4: say I shut.
- 19:18Speaker 1: It off because you were so spooked.
- 19:20Speaker 4: It was too scary.
- 19:21Speaker 5: It was too scary.
- 19:22Speaker 4: It was just like I wasn't failing it. It's too gold.
- 19:24Speaker 4: It was very gory.
- 19:25Speaker 5: Your your recommendations for horror movies are pretty good. I'm
- 19:28Speaker 5: gonna give you that which once, well, you told me
- 19:30Speaker 5: to watch that one oddity and that fucking my eyes
- 19:34Speaker 5: were streaming. Yeah, that's my weird feared reaction, eyes start
- 19:40Speaker 5: to water. It's not tears in the same way that like,
- 19:43Speaker 5: I don't know, squirt isn't p but it is kind of.
- 19:46Speaker 5: I think it's like probably similar chemical compounds two tears,
- 19:50Speaker 5: but not all the way that And people would be like,
- 19:52Speaker 5: you're just making that up to make me feel better,
- 19:54Speaker 5: and it's like, no, these are real. I'm one of
- 19:57Speaker 5: the few people that actually does have the water ejacular. Yeah,
- 20:01Speaker 5: when I see one, terrifying.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like your piecemell like asparagus.
- 20:05Speaker 4: But yeah, that movie was great. Did you ever watch it?
- 20:08Speaker 1: No, I don't like to be spooked by movies. I
- 20:10Speaker 1: don't think that that's like a fun activity, a fun
- 20:12Speaker 1: way to spend your movie watching time.
- 20:14Speaker 4: I kind of agree, like that's kind of I go up,
- 20:16Speaker 4: I go back and forth, like I only watch horror movies.
- 20:19Speaker 4: If I'm like, really in the mood for a horror movie.
- 20:21Speaker 1: What makes you? What puts you in the mood?
- 20:23Speaker 5: Nice sativa? Probably a head really Yeah, yeah, I was
- 20:30Speaker 5: gonna say, like a couple of rips of the old
- 20:32Speaker 5: nikky Blazer.
- 20:35Speaker 4: I was gonna say, just like I like seeing horror
- 20:37Speaker 4: movies in the theaters, but at home in my sanctuary.
- 20:42Speaker 4: You can't want to be scared in your space.
- 20:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I get that, But you know what, the horror
- 20:48Speaker 5: movies with your buddies are fun. Yeah, we could do that.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, they kind of Yeah, they can be got
- 20:54Speaker 4: off on the wrong floor there little They can be
- 20:57Speaker 4: like awful though, Like I remember me and my buddies
- 20:59Speaker 4: when we were young. We were we were sleeping over
- 21:02Speaker 4: at Peter's house, Matt, Yeah, and we watched The Gallows
- 21:06Speaker 4: and I had to call I think I texted my
- 21:08Speaker 4: mom at like three am, and I was like, yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Yeah, there are their parents touching you? Or is there
- 21:15Speaker 1: inappropriate drinking going on?
- 21:17Speaker 7: No?
- 21:17Speaker 1: I have the willies. Get me out of here. The
- 21:21Speaker 1: willy is really bad.
- 21:22Speaker 5: I have self induced lack of sleep.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Yeah, that was like the That was the last time
- 21:27Speaker 4: I probably did that.
- 21:28Speaker 1: We could do either on the uh on the trip
- 21:31Speaker 1: to to upstate to your residence upstate, we could watch
- 21:34Speaker 1: a horror movie, or we could do it when we
- 21:37Speaker 1: do our sleepover at the office.
- 21:40Speaker 5: Would people want to watch us watching the Sleepover.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Oh then maybe we just excuse me a horror movie.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Well maybe when we just go upstate, we just do
- 21:48Speaker 1: it off camp.
- 21:49Speaker 5: I think that's a fun idea. Yeah, yeah, and.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Just when we do check and speaking of we have
- 21:54Speaker 1: a do you want to do? You want to show
- 21:55Speaker 1: them the people that, oh are we should we might
- 21:58Speaker 1: as well?
- 22:00Speaker 5: Should we display hang on a second? Wait? Wait? Wait,
- 22:04Speaker 5: I thought Pollard told us to wait because they're going
- 22:09Speaker 5: to launch it for the Black Friday sale and then
- 22:11Speaker 5: people who bought it soon would be mad that.
- 22:14Speaker 4: I don't think it's gonna go on sale until the flash.
- 22:17Speaker 1: It just to show flash, show them what's coming. And
- 22:21Speaker 1: it just feels naughty if someone tells you not. People
- 22:23Speaker 1: want to want to see it, even it's pushing the button,
- 22:25Speaker 1: you know, really just son of a Boy Dad inaugural
- 22:30Speaker 1: fishing trip upstate New York, Fall twenty twenty five. Hold
- 22:34Speaker 1: that up.
- 22:34Speaker 5: Square to the care, Hold that up square square square it.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Square that God And that's the back of the shirt,
- 22:42Speaker 1: front of the shirt pocket.
- 22:44Speaker 5: That's for all your dry flies. You're you know, maybe
- 22:47Speaker 5: like a nice couple pre pre rolls for Harry whatever it.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Is, small gun yeah, put a very small pocket for
- 22:54Speaker 1: the breasts. Yeah, the pocket is coming for the Who
- 23:00Speaker 1: are you talking to, brother, I know your audience, dumbass.
- 23:04Speaker 4: It's for the tits. It's to cover up the tits.
- 23:07Speaker 5: But there's only one you need to you'd be the
- 23:09Speaker 5: guy with.
- 23:11Speaker 4: I saw on an extra yeah, and then one across
- 23:13Speaker 4: the Yeah. I just bought a ship ton of pockets online.
- 23:19Speaker 5: They're great.
- 23:20Speaker 4: You just gotta sell many.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Then show show me the other thing.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Oh yeah, sweatshirt.
- 23:26Speaker 5: This one's really cool of a boy dad.
- 23:32Speaker 1: And then on the Johann Sebastian.
- 23:37Speaker 5: Smoking lounge. It's got some cigars and some whiskey and
- 23:40Speaker 5: what's that last part there? And a lot lighter. Yeah,
- 23:43Speaker 5: and we're talking gentlemanly. There's a GEO tag on there,
- 23:48Speaker 5: h Q three.
- 23:50Speaker 1: HQ and you can Yeah, it's just it's just wearable stuff.
- 23:53Speaker 1: That's just wearable merch.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Earth tones, nice little zippo lighter.
- 23:57Speaker 1: They call me the earth done Ron. You know I
- 23:58Speaker 1: need some earth tones. Oh yeah, same day and earth stones.
- 24:02Speaker 5: So do we have a sense of when we're launching
- 24:04Speaker 5: those Black Friday? Yeah? Black Friday, I think is the idea, right.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Is it? For one of them. I think it's Black
- 24:11Speaker 1: Friday one of them, maybe before one of them. I
- 24:13Speaker 1: thought one was going to be in accordance with that
- 24:15Speaker 1: that trip upstate. See, this is why it doesn't matter.
- 24:19Speaker 1: It's good to just tease it because those are happening. Yeah,
- 24:23Speaker 1: people know that, they can get that. We can get
- 24:25Speaker 1: a little excitement. Foe in a little excitement, they asked. Yeah,
- 24:28Speaker 1: so we're delivering.
- 24:28Speaker 5: We will give you the proper runout of all of that.
- 24:32Speaker 1: But come on, brother, exactly lukewarm right now? Uh yeah,
- 24:40Speaker 1: I saw that on there. I was like, is that
- 24:41Speaker 1: a bookmark? Was that poop?
- 24:43Speaker 4: I don't know?
- 24:45Speaker 5: Eat it now?
- 24:45Speaker 1: It's because that like I could see poop being at
- 24:51Speaker 1: that part of your body.
- 24:52Speaker 4: If that was the case, we would I would be like,
- 24:53Speaker 4: we're restarting the episode.
- 24:55Speaker 1: I don't think so, yeah, yeah, we're not rebasing.
- 24:59Speaker 4: It turned out that I I'm on my hand, let's say,
- 25:02Speaker 4: all right, we'll just restart start from scratch.
- 25:05Speaker 1: That's the fucking gem and we are not throwing it
- 25:07Speaker 1: back in the fucking river. Dude, We're not getting rid
- 25:10Speaker 1: of a poop wrist.
- 25:12Speaker 5: I have an outrageous thing to tell you, guys, due
- 25:16Speaker 5: to speaking of Upstate. So on Saturday night of this
- 25:21Speaker 5: past weekend, I crashed a wedding for the first time.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Oh wow, so loud.
- 25:26Speaker 5: No. I was with my buddy Dustin.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Oh hell yeah.
- 25:28Speaker 5: And we were up at our place, bombed around in
- 25:31Speaker 5: a golf cart. It was dark, it was probably like
- 25:33Speaker 5: uh ten thirty or something, and we heard really loud music,
- 25:40Speaker 5: really loud, coming from what felt like close. Yeah, And
- 25:44Speaker 5: so we drove the golf cart to the edge of
- 25:45Speaker 5: the property where we heard it loudest, and we would
- 25:48Speaker 5: drive twenty yards, stop the cart and listen and then
- 25:52Speaker 5: turn around like we were honing in on dolphins. And
- 25:55Speaker 5: we got our cart and we started to It's pitch black,
- 26:00Speaker 5: and we started to go through the woods and you know,
- 26:03Speaker 5: we're wearing like golf windbreakers, our sleeves are getting torn
- 26:07Speaker 5: up by the brambles. At one point, we had to
- 26:11Speaker 5: go down a very very steep hill and we couldn't
- 26:14Speaker 5: really see and we slipped and both of us ended
- 26:16Speaker 5: up sort of slipping and sliding down this hill on
- 26:19Speaker 5: the golf cart. No, we had parked the cart. Oh okay, yeah,
- 26:23Speaker 5: but we we get to the bottom of the hill.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Were you guys bombed yeah.
- 26:28Speaker 5: We were pretty drunk. And we get to the bottom
- 26:31Speaker 5: of the hill. We still didn't even know what we
- 26:32Speaker 5: were going to. We didn't know what it was. Well,
- 26:35Speaker 5: we just heard fun. Yeah, And we emerged through the
- 26:40Speaker 5: last sort of wall of branches and things, and there
- 26:43Speaker 5: was this outdoor pavilion that was sort of open air,
- 26:48Speaker 5: and there was a bar that was manned by a
- 26:52Speaker 5: man and a woman who were just part of the wedding.
- 26:54Speaker 5: They weren't. There was no bartender, and then there was
- 26:57Speaker 5: a DJ and pretty quickly we asked that it was
- 27:00Speaker 5: a wedding. So we walked straight up to the bar
- 27:03Speaker 5: and we're like hi, and they're like, where did you
- 27:05Speaker 5: guys come from? And we're like, oh, we don't know. Yeah,
- 27:10Speaker 5: we don't know where we are, but we heard fun
- 27:14Speaker 5: And if you guys don't want us here, like well,
- 27:16Speaker 5: bounce just wanted to say hi or whatever. They're like, no, no, no,
- 27:19Speaker 5: come in. The more the merrier and they were like,
- 27:21Speaker 5: let's pull you a drink, and we were like okay, sure.
- 27:24Speaker 5: The two the drink options. One was for the she
- 27:27Speaker 5: goes for the men. We're making rum and cokes. Oh,
- 27:31Speaker 5: that's the men's drink.
- 27:32Speaker 4: That's interesting.
- 27:33Speaker 5: And then the women. The drink for the women is
- 27:36Speaker 5: a vodka cranberry. Wow, I'm talking just cranberry juice and vodka. Yeah,
- 27:40Speaker 5: no seltzer at all.
- 27:42Speaker 4: That sounds awful.
- 27:43Speaker 5: And then she goes, and then I created this special
- 27:46Speaker 5: wedding cocktail that we're calling the Barney. And it's just
- 27:50Speaker 5: those two drinks mixed up.
- 27:55Speaker 4: That sounds so bad.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Rum coke, vodka and cranberry. And she goes, they've been
- 28:00Speaker 5: a huge hit. And I'm not kidding you. When she
- 28:03Speaker 5: said that, a guy came up and basically cut in
- 28:05Speaker 5: front of me and was like, can I have two
- 28:06Speaker 5: barneys please? And she's like on it, and she shook it.
- 28:13Speaker 5: She shook it all up together to mix it.
- 28:15Speaker 1: It's like a Rhode Island iced team. That ridiculous, ridiculous,
- 28:24Speaker 1: what a crazy combination. Dude, that's gross.
- 28:28Speaker 4: Oh man, So you were drinking like high school.
- 28:33Speaker 5: It's like the child equivalent of putting the soda under
- 28:36Speaker 5: all the fountains. Like I made a perfect drink. Yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 5: uh so we whatever. We ended up just she was
- 28:45Speaker 5: like what we were like, why don't we do a shot?
- 28:47Speaker 5: And she was like, oh great, let's do a shot
- 28:49Speaker 5: and We did a shot with her and her husband,
- 28:51Speaker 5: and they just poured us shots of vodka. That was it. Yeah, vodka.
- 28:54Speaker 5: I haven't done vodka shots in a long time.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like tequila or whiskey shot drinks.
- 29:00Speaker 5: Vodka shots are what you take when you're trying to
- 29:02Speaker 5: get a tapeworm dead in your stomach.
- 29:07Speaker 4: I used to take shots of vodka.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Yeah, well that's probably good for you, so kill all
- 29:11Speaker 5: that bacteria that's rotting your gut.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you maybe need to go back to shots of
- 29:15Speaker 1: vodka after the Dominanto. Just get yourself right, are we talking?
- 29:20Speaker 5: Well yeah, it was well it was a plastic bottle
- 29:23Speaker 5: for sure, you know, something like that robelob or whatever. Anyway,
- 29:31Speaker 5: so we took these shots and then Dustin is a
- 29:38Speaker 5: bit of a troll, and I realized that we were
- 29:42Speaker 5: in a situation that was a little bit precarious because
- 29:45Speaker 5: this was like a cross between a biker wedding and
- 29:50Speaker 5: like the guy that was with the woman pouring the
- 29:53Speaker 5: drinks was the warden at a local maximum security prison.
- 29:58Speaker 4: A prison guard wedding.
- 30:00Speaker 5: I think I don't know if there were more people
- 30:03Speaker 5: than him from the prison. I didn't we didn't really
- 30:05Speaker 5: talk to that many people, but there were people. Nobody
- 30:08Speaker 5: was dressed in anything more dressy than a T shirt
- 30:12Speaker 5: and jeans.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Oh, I was picturing a bunch of you at the wedding.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Yeah no, no, biker gang from.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Test No no no. This was like like we were
- 30:23Speaker 5: wearing wearing nice golf attire. Was a bad It was
- 30:29Speaker 5: an act of aggression.
- 30:30Speaker 1: So warden was he an overweight, bald guy.
- 30:32Speaker 5: He had a buzz cut, and he had scars and
- 30:36Speaker 5: stuff like that. And he started telling us about some
- 30:39Speaker 5: of the prisoners, like the high profile prisoners that.
- 30:43Speaker 4: He kills and.
- 30:48Speaker 5: On a daily basis, and like says good morning too,
- 30:51Speaker 5: even though they like are in there for quadruple murder
- 30:54Speaker 5: of children or something.
- 30:56Speaker 1: In fact, there's one of them over there getting married.
- 31:00Speaker 5: But they were mostly pretty receptive to us. And then
- 31:04Speaker 5: the DJ announced that it was going to be the
- 31:06Speaker 5: last song, and the warden and his wife pulled both
- 31:09Speaker 5: me and Dustin onto the dance floor. And I don't
- 31:12Speaker 5: know why, but the four of us were like doing
- 31:14Speaker 5: this weird square slow dance together with our arms around
- 31:17Speaker 5: each other, and the warden was huge. I had to
- 31:20Speaker 5: reach up, but he had his arm around my shoulder
- 31:23Speaker 5: and like Dustin and I were like kind of touching
- 31:25Speaker 5: with that felt gay and I don't know. Somehow it worked.
- 31:27Speaker 5: We were talking but Dustin being Asian, what started trolling?
- 31:32Speaker 4: Have I met Dustin?
- 31:34Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 31:35Speaker 4: I think I did.
- 31:36Speaker 5: You may have up there, Yeah that's possible people. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:41Speaker 5: stud real troublemaker though, real troublemaker. Yeah. And he was
- 31:47Speaker 5: like when we did the shot, they were like to
- 31:52Speaker 5: long marriage or something, and Dustin was like, ooh, I
- 31:56Speaker 5: don't know. I recently caught my wife fucking my brother,
- 32:00Speaker 5: like marriage doesn't sit well with me. And then the
- 32:04Speaker 5: warden was like I had a very similar experience with
- 32:07Speaker 5: my first wife and somehow they like bonded and I
- 32:10Speaker 5: was like, wow, that was a big swing, but okay,
- 32:13Speaker 5: and then uh, Dustin, they were like, so where are
- 32:18Speaker 5: you guys from? And I was like, I'm from Maine.
- 32:21Speaker 5: And Dustin goes North Korea and they go they go,
- 32:25Speaker 5: is that the good one or the bad one? And
- 32:28Speaker 5: he goes, it's the good one and they were like,
- 32:30Speaker 5: that's so funny because there's a huge group of North
- 32:33Speaker 5: Koreans that live in town. And then we like started
- 32:37Speaker 5: talking about this pocket of North Koreans, and she was like,
- 32:41Speaker 5: and it's too bad, you know, because they don't speak
- 32:43Speaker 5: English that well, but they make the best Chinese food.
- 32:47Speaker 5: And she goes, so when I call them to order
- 32:49Speaker 5: my food, I have to I have to speak English
- 32:52Speaker 5: their way so that they understand. And Dustin was like,
- 32:55Speaker 5: show me, and then she re enacted how she speaks
- 32:59Speaker 5: broke in English to perceived North Koreans making general sauvage check.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Can you do what? It sounded like? Please?
- 33:09Speaker 5: It was so far off. It wasn't even close.
- 33:12Speaker 1: To That's why I want to hear.
- 33:13Speaker 5: It, I know. But she would be like hello, like
- 33:17Speaker 5: she wasn't.
- 33:17Speaker 4: R ring her l s h. Yeah, I thought she
- 33:19Speaker 4: was going to do.
- 33:19Speaker 5: We were so excited to hear something very funny, and
- 33:22Speaker 5: she just spoke like halting busted English, but the unbelievable
- 33:27Speaker 5: like tangle.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Of the fact she's bragging about that, like a skill
- 33:32Speaker 1: that she has.
- 33:33Speaker 5: Yeah, and we for the rest of the night it
- 33:35Speaker 5: was like just we were just talking about the North
- 33:37Speaker 5: Koreans in town.
- 33:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I hate to break the relation. Fred Dawn out
- 33:41Speaker 4: theremony park or whatever, went right to fucking upstate New York.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Francis I hate to break this to you. That couple
- 33:51Speaker 1: was trying to fuck you guys.
- 33:52Speaker 5: Yeah, big time boy. Uh well that's possible because oh,
- 33:57Speaker 5: you know what. Then she said, how are you guys
- 34:01Speaker 5: getting home? And we said we're gonna just hike back
- 34:03Speaker 5: up through the woods, and she goes, don't do that.
- 34:04Speaker 5: I'll give you guys a ride. Yeah. I was worried
- 34:08Speaker 5: that she was pretty ship faced, and so I was like, no,
- 34:11Speaker 5: that's okay, We're going to just go. And we started
- 34:14Speaker 5: sort of fading into the woods. She was like, wait, no,
- 34:19Speaker 5: I'll give you a ride. And then Dustin Dustin had
- 34:23Speaker 5: told them.
- 34:23Speaker 4: As you guys like walked into the voice.
- 34:25Speaker 5: Yeah, we just kind of feel the dreams just straight
- 34:28Speaker 5: up faded.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Into the corn and this is my only chance.
- 34:35Speaker 5: Again, dude, we knew. I knew it was time to
- 34:37Speaker 5: go because Dustin Dustin. Then then they were after he
- 34:42Speaker 5: told them about his wife being walked like walking him
- 34:45Speaker 5: walking in on his wife with his brother. He they
- 34:49Speaker 5: were like that happened.
- 34:50Speaker 4: No, yeah, okay, that's what I thought.
- 34:52Speaker 5: He's just throwing out ship to entertain himself. But then
- 34:57Speaker 5: I was then he was they were like what about you?
- 34:59Speaker 5: Are you you married, and I don't know why he
- 35:02Speaker 5: said this, but he goes, no, his wife ran away
- 35:07Speaker 5: with a mountain lion, and I was like, dude, that's
- 35:11Speaker 5: too far, you know, like that's too obvious, and now
- 35:14Speaker 5: you're going to think you're fucking with them. But they didn't.
- 35:17Speaker 5: They laughed. He had read like he had read and
- 35:23Speaker 5: I had the misread. Except when we were close to
- 35:27Speaker 5: the dance floor, a couple came through, big guy and
- 35:30Speaker 5: his wife, and Dustin was holding his barney and the
- 35:34Speaker 5: guy shouldered him in the back and knocked the drink
- 35:37Speaker 5: out of his hand. It had to have been I mean,
- 35:40Speaker 5: they were at that this point in their wedding. There
- 35:41Speaker 5: were only like eighteen people left.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Oh, so, did you think the guy shouldered him for
- 35:46Speaker 1: bringing you guys around or do you think it was
- 35:49Speaker 1: some inner biker gang type.
- 35:51Speaker 5: I think the guy shouldered him for us being wedding
- 35:54Speaker 5: crashers who were probably taking the piss and he knew it.
- 35:59Speaker 5: But they Dustin also told them I was a comedian,
- 36:03Speaker 5: and they kept being like, go up and take the mic,
- 36:05Speaker 5: and I was like, this is the one time in
- 36:07Speaker 5: my life where I kind of want to want to
- 36:12Speaker 5: go up there and I'm going through the jokes from
- 36:15Speaker 5: my act that might land with this group. I'm like,
- 36:18Speaker 5: and it would be all like the marriage stuff, like
- 36:20Speaker 5: trying for kids all that, And I was like, I
- 36:23Speaker 5: have some I have like three minutes that might work
- 36:26Speaker 5: with this incredibly hostile crowd.
- 36:29Speaker 1: In the woods and they're definitely armed. Yeah, and where
- 36:34Speaker 1: like I can't even picture like a road out of here.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Was there like a venue.
- 36:38Speaker 5: Long dirt road, So I think this place was a
- 36:42Speaker 5: hunting and fishing club. Dude, this was straight up you
- 36:47Speaker 5: know delivery. I don't want to say like white power e.
- 36:53Speaker 5: It wasn't far off. It sounds like they'd like dusted
- 36:58Speaker 5: a lot less and less than they like to me.
- 37:00Speaker 4: Yeah, no ship. Yeah, it's like in Red Dead two
- 37:03Speaker 4: when you're like walking in the woods and then you
- 37:05Speaker 4: come across the k K K and you're like, oh ship.
- 37:09Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like that. I say that they were incredibly nice.
- 37:13Speaker 5: They were incredibly nice. The bride and the groom were nice.
- 37:16Speaker 1: What about the guy that shouldered dustin.
- 37:18Speaker 5: Though you shoulder Dustin? And the rest of everyone was
- 37:24Speaker 5: giving us some pretty foul looks. There were people in
- 37:27Speaker 5: true motorcycle vests. There were a couple guys in motorcycle vests.
- 37:32Speaker 5: I mean, it was. It was unlike anything I'd ever experienced.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Do you think that if if a guy had gotten sticky,
- 37:38Speaker 1: what was your exit?
- 37:39Speaker 5: Playing?
- 37:40Speaker 1: Run into the woods?
- 37:41Speaker 5: Run?
- 37:42Speaker 1: But was Dustin on the same page as he pretty fast?
- 37:46Speaker 4: He's quick, he's quick.
- 37:47Speaker 5: Yeah, he played, he played sports. I don't know, I
- 37:54Speaker 5: don't know. I don't think. The problem too, was that
- 37:56Speaker 5: Dustin was more drunk than I was, and he was
- 38:01Speaker 5: not carefully telling the line of like, don't ruffle feathers.
- 38:06Speaker 5: This could be a tough situation. We're not welcome here,
- 38:11Speaker 5: so we're like hanging on.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, but he made it like he wasn't wrong.
- 38:17Speaker 5: We made it because I said we have to go
- 38:20Speaker 5: after the shouldering thing. I said, it's time.
- 38:22Speaker 1: We really based on the shouldering.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Yeah, so it was it was an aggressive shouldering, like
- 38:29Speaker 4: he was holding his drink like this.
- 38:30Speaker 5: The whole thing got knocked out. It was knocked him over. Yeah,
- 38:34Speaker 5: it was a dang Yeah, it was.
- 38:37Speaker 4: A body check.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't remember.
- 38:39Speaker 10: But in any age, let me put it in terms
- 38:50Speaker 10: of ching chung, ching, get the fuck out.
- 38:57Speaker 4: Oh god, that's exactly what I was that's crazy. Just
- 39:05Speaker 4: in the woods too. In the woods they have a
- 39:07Speaker 4: big fire going with a cross.
- 39:09Speaker 5: They had they had one heat lamp that everyone was
- 39:14Speaker 5: sort of huddled under. I mean just cold at this point.
- 39:17Speaker 1: How are they playing music?
- 39:19Speaker 5: A DJ?
- 39:20Speaker 1: And was there a dance floor? Was it like grass?
- 39:23Speaker 5: It was all under a big wooden kind of pavilion,
- 39:27Speaker 5: but that had no It was outdoors, so there was
- 39:30Speaker 5: a roof, but and then it was wood underfoot.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Kind of like, what's that fucking movie that just came
- 39:37Speaker 1: out to Michael B. Jordan one, I didn't see that
- 39:40Speaker 1: great Centers. Yeah, were there ghosts playing hip hop music?
- 39:44Speaker 5: They were not playing hip hop there?
- 39:48Speaker 1: If they could come into your house, could they have
- 39:50Speaker 1: been vampires?
- 39:51Speaker 5: That was a lot of country.
- 39:54Speaker 1: I was looking up, like just like information about the
- 39:57Speaker 1: western coast of Maine, and it looks fascinating, like the north,
- 40:02Speaker 1: northern and western part that hugs Canada. It's like the
- 40:05Speaker 1: least one of the least densely populated parts of the
- 40:07Speaker 1: United States. Yeah, yeah, there's like six thousand people on
- 40:10Speaker 1: like the whole back half of Maryland or something.
- 40:13Speaker 5: Uh yeah, Jesus sort of on the Canada. And is
- 40:19Speaker 5: that new Hampshire up there or is it Vermont at
- 40:22Speaker 5: that point? The fuck me, I'm embarrassed. Well, honestly, I've
- 40:26Speaker 5: never been out there. Main is gigantic as far as
- 40:29Speaker 5: land goes, and I know that after a certain point
- 40:32Speaker 5: it's like logging roads. And I know this because in COVID. Yeah,
- 40:39Speaker 5: let's see here, Son of a Boy, Dad has brought
- 40:41Speaker 5: to you by game Time. We love game Time here
- 40:46Speaker 5: on the show, we've all used their incredible app and
- 40:48Speaker 5: ticketing services on numerous occasions. Most recently I went to
- 40:52Speaker 5: Operation Vincemeat on Broadway. They hooked it up absolutely fantastic. Uh.
- 40:58Speaker 5: And right now college football season is in full swing,
- 41:01Speaker 5: which means tailgates, cheering crowds, and the excitement of being
- 41:03Speaker 5: in the stands before kickoff. That's all happening too. You
- 41:07Speaker 5: ever been at a tailgate? You went out, let's just
- 41:09Speaker 5: get out to the parking lot. I want to be
- 41:11Speaker 5: part of the action. But I don't have a ticket
- 41:12Speaker 5: to the game. Well, if you're in there and you
- 41:14Speaker 5: said it last minute, you want to go. That's where
- 41:16Speaker 5: game Time comes in. The app gives the advantage back
- 41:19Speaker 5: to fans. It's the hack for unlocking amazing tickets and
- 41:22Speaker 5: experiences and a few taps. One thing I love, by
- 41:24Speaker 5: the way, about the game Time app is that the
- 41:26Speaker 5: ticket price that they list on their interactive map includes
- 41:29Speaker 5: all fees and taxes, so you know exactly what you're paying.
- 41:32Speaker 1: You don't get to that last page and you find
- 41:34Speaker 1: out that is five hundred dollars more.
- 41:36Speaker 5: Correct, at which point now you have to make another
- 41:38Speaker 5: calculation of like, do I want it that beast?
- 41:40Speaker 1: It's called all in pricing, yes, I.
- 41:45Speaker 5: So anyway, that's that's Game Time. I think you guys
- 41:48Speaker 5: get the idea for itself. It's the best take the
- 41:50Speaker 5: guesswork out of buying college football tickets with game Time.

- 44:52Speaker 5: Main it's New Hampshire all the way up.
- 44:56Speaker 1: But Main, uh, you know Hampshire rules as well. Maine
- 45:00Speaker 1: is New Hampshire ships on Vermont.
- 45:03Speaker 4: Can I just say that, I don't know about that.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Vermont thinks it's the fucking key.
- 45:07Speaker 4: I don't know about that.
- 45:08Speaker 1: It is not. I don't know how many New Hampshire
- 45:10Speaker 1: hours over.
- 45:11Speaker 4: I don't think you've been in New Hampshire.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Of course I've been in New Hampshire at once. Yeah,
- 45:15Speaker 1: it fucking towers over New Hampshire's little Vermont. Vermont thinks
- 45:20Speaker 1: that it's the fucking king ship.
- 45:22Speaker 4: New Hampshire's got some bad areas, Yeah, badass areas.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Hampshire smacks around, fucking city boy. Vermont it does fucking curve,
- 45:31Speaker 1: does fuck your wife?
- 45:32Speaker 4: It doesn't close.
- 45:35Speaker 1: No, that's exactly what it is.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Hampshter's got some decent stuff. No, it's no Vermont beautiful. No,
- 45:41Speaker 4: it's no second only to Maine.
- 45:44Speaker 5: I think Maine's better than both New Hampshire.
- 45:46Speaker 1: And I said second to Maine. I'm not fucking shipping on.
- 45:49Speaker 4: I almost went to I almost went to Man last
- 45:51Speaker 4: weekend for a day.
- 45:53Speaker 5: What for to fish with whom bo?
- 45:56Speaker 4: Yeah, he got cold feet, couldn't take it. I was like,
- 45:59Speaker 4: I'll fly in because I was gonna go fishing on Saturday.
- 46:02Speaker 4: And I got banned from zip car and the hurts
- 46:06Speaker 4: by my apartment closed.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Do you mean you got banned off zip car?
- 46:09Speaker 4: Zip cars like a failing business, so they'll just ban you,
- 46:13Speaker 4: Like so they want people, yes, exactly, they want people
- 46:16Speaker 4: to stop using zip car like it's going under.
- 46:19Speaker 5: They're trying to phase you out. Yeah.
- 46:20Speaker 4: So I got banned a couple of years ago for
- 46:23Speaker 4: no reason, Like they didn't tell me it. I just
- 46:26Speaker 4: got an email that was like, we reviewed your account.
- 46:28Speaker 4: You're no longer your banned.
- 46:30Speaker 1: They cannot it can't have been for no reason.
- 46:32Speaker 4: It's said it was because of my record, like my
- 46:34Speaker 4: driving record. They were like we did a we did
- 46:36Speaker 4: like an anonymous check. I've been pulled over twice my
- 46:39Speaker 4: entire life, but I've gotta cars, No neither. They just
- 46:44Speaker 4: like checked my like driving record.
- 46:46Speaker 5: Can they check the way that you have driven? Sort
- 46:48Speaker 5: of that you know you're.
- 46:49Speaker 4: Talking like Toileta Corollas.
- 46:51Speaker 1: But maybe what if there's like satellite or speed camera
- 46:54Speaker 1: tickets or something.
- 46:55Speaker 4: I drive very carefully.
- 46:57Speaker 1: You have no speeding tickets that went to zip car
- 46:59Speaker 1: made because it was their car.
- 47:01Speaker 4: I haven't been pulled over since I was I haven't
- 47:03Speaker 4: gotten a ticket since I was in high school. Yeah,
- 47:06Speaker 4: I've been pulled over since.
- 47:07Speaker 1: So they're just bigoted against the youth pretty much.
- 47:10Speaker 5: How many times you've been pulled over? Four?
- 47:13Speaker 4: Five?
- 47:13Speaker 5: Whoa? Really? Yeah?
- 47:15Speaker 4: But I only got a ticket, Like I got a
- 47:16Speaker 4: tit twice for speeding in high school.
- 47:18Speaker 5: Both.
- 47:18Speaker 4: I got a ticket from both of those, then once
- 47:20Speaker 4: because I had a head light out, and then once
- 47:21Speaker 4: when I was going Remember recently, when I was in Atlanta,
- 47:25Speaker 4: I got pulled over going.
- 47:26Speaker 1: To Tenny's for sitting sideways.
- 47:28Speaker 4: Yeah, for no, I got pulled over because my headlight.
- 47:31Speaker 5: Was out in a rental car. Yeah, why do you
- 47:36Speaker 5: keep what? How does that keep happening? I don't know.
- 47:39Speaker 1: It's bad luck.
- 47:41Speaker 4: I didn't even know.
- 47:42Speaker 1: That's God, that's God.
- 47:43Speaker 5: That's crazy. Are you? Are you? What do they do
- 47:46Speaker 5: when you have a head light out in a rental car?
- 47:48Speaker 5: I mean they can't possibly get mad at you.
- 47:51Speaker 4: No, I guess in Atlanta they pulled, Like outside of Atlanta,
- 47:55Speaker 4: they pull over a lot of people.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Yeah, they put the headlights out on purpose spots to
- 48:01Speaker 1: be like, let's check up on our citizens. It's illegal
- 48:03Speaker 1: to stop, but not if it's blinking at us, winking
- 48:06Speaker 1: at us.
- 48:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:07Speaker 4: So I can't go fishing within here really anymore because
- 48:12Speaker 4: I don't have access to a car.
- 48:14Speaker 5: So if only you had a friend who would be
- 48:16Speaker 5: willing to lend you a car.
- 48:18Speaker 4: Well this was pretty last minute I thought about that,
- 48:20Speaker 4: but at any time. Yeah, yeah, I have a car too.
- 48:23Speaker 1: I actually my car actually off roads.
- 48:25Speaker 4: Yeah I know, bitch, No you don't, Yes, I do.
- 48:29Speaker 1: I've been in it, so the fuck you don't know
- 48:30Speaker 1: anything about it off roading?
- 48:32Speaker 4: Yeah I do.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I have a new car since then that's built to
- 48:35Speaker 1: off road down mass you absolute rude factor.
- 48:38Speaker 5: Actually can't drive it on roads.
- 48:39Speaker 1: It doesn't, I see, It's just it's an ATV.
- 48:43Speaker 5: Yeah, the wheels start to smoke if they're not crunching
- 48:47Speaker 5: up the stilts, and you fool. It's like rain gloves
- 48:50Speaker 5: and golf. They don't actually work when it's dry.
- 48:53Speaker 1: It's like women, you gotta pour some water on them.
- 48:57Speaker 5: Gets dry. I like it.
- 48:58Speaker 4: I like to rub them on the green, touch the earth.
- 49:01Speaker 1: You got to take the flight to Maine, though, it's
- 49:03Speaker 1: so much more enjoyable to get to Maine if you
- 49:05Speaker 1: could just take the one hour flight as opposed to this.
- 49:08Speaker 4: Oh I've done that.
- 49:09Speaker 1: I've gone six hour drive.
- 49:10Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely, but I was gonna so that was my
- 49:13Speaker 4: Then I came up with this genius idea. I was like,
- 49:16Speaker 4: how about.
- 49:16Speaker 5: You not do anything and stay home instead?
- 49:18Speaker 4: No, I was like, I'm gonna go how about this,
- 49:21Speaker 4: how about I fly to Maine. There's so many because
- 49:24Speaker 4: I remember you were saying, You're like, there's so many flights.
- 49:27Speaker 5: I checked.
- 49:27Speaker 4: There's like there's more flights to Portland. There are to Chicago. Yeah,
- 49:30Speaker 4: and there was like a there's like a seven am flight,
- 49:33Speaker 4: it's in it at like eight thirty, and then there
- 49:35Speaker 4: was like a nine pm flight that gets home at
- 49:37Speaker 4: like ten thirty. So I was like, I texted Bell.
- 49:40Speaker 4: I was like, let's go fishing tomorrow. I'll fly in
- 49:42Speaker 4: dramming off at the airport, I'll fly home. And then
- 49:44Speaker 4: he was like I'm down. And then I called him
- 49:46Speaker 4: like thirty minutes later and he was like, I don't know, man,
- 49:48Speaker 4: I've actually got work tomorrow. So I was like, well,
- 49:51Speaker 4: that was a pretty key part of the plan that
- 49:53Speaker 4: you forgot to leave out is that you're working the
- 49:56Speaker 4: entire day.
- 49:59Speaker 1: Thinking called into work. Maybe he like has seen how
- 50:02Speaker 1: you've been treating Francis, and he's like, if he's not
- 50:04Speaker 1: going to be friends with Francis, he can with me.
- 50:07Speaker 4: He said that you d m him recently.
- 50:09Speaker 5: I did.
- 50:11Speaker 4: Yeah, He's like, yeah, Francis hit me out the other day.
- 50:14Speaker 5: I was like, oh really, I said, give me your
- 50:19Speaker 5: upcoming work schedule so that I can fly to me
- 50:21Speaker 5: and and you can go fishing.
- 50:24Speaker 1: You guys are good. What if he like couldn't because
- 50:27Speaker 1: you were there that day.
- 50:29Speaker 4: Francis is already down here. If you can get here
- 50:31Speaker 4: in time, Yeah.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Actually I have work. It's better for we two men
- 50:35Speaker 1: in Francis there's only two seats in the ATV.
- 50:38Speaker 4: Yes, but yeah, not a bad idea. I think I'm
- 50:40Speaker 4: gonna definitely try to do that before the winter.
- 50:43Speaker 1: How much were the prices.
- 50:45Speaker 4: Same as much same as the same amount of money
- 50:46Speaker 4: as it would have been to rent a zip car
- 50:48Speaker 4: for a day, that's for sure. How much is that
- 50:50Speaker 4: one thousand dollars?
- 50:53Speaker 5: Now?
- 50:54Speaker 4: Zip cars are so expected, what about to even worse?
- 50:58Speaker 5: Really?
- 50:58Speaker 4: Also, they don't have any toros near me. They're all
- 51:00Speaker 4: in like Jersey or Brooklyn.
- 51:02Speaker 1: True. True, true. You could easually get to Brooklyn's like
- 51:05Speaker 1: ten minutes away from your door.
- 51:07Speaker 4: See that was like, so I could still go fishing,
- 51:10Speaker 4: but then I have to I would have to uber
- 51:11Speaker 4: to Newark Airport and then drive from there.
- 51:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:15Speaker 4: Or at that point it's like, or you.
- 51:17Speaker 5: Could take a twelve minute subway to the York Street
- 51:21Speaker 5: station and then walk down into my garage and borrow
- 51:24Speaker 5: my car for the day.
- 51:25Speaker 4: Yeah, But then it's like and then when you're going like,
- 51:29Speaker 4: all of this would be fine if I wasn't coming
- 51:31Speaker 4: in from Jersey.
- 51:33Speaker 5: Okay, So you get my car, then you drive out,
- 51:36Speaker 5: you go fish, and it's the weekend, so you can
- 51:40Speaker 5: park on the street for free. Right, you leave your
- 51:44Speaker 5: car in front of your house and then promise me
- 51:47Speaker 5: that you're going to bring it home. But we both
- 51:49Speaker 5: know that's never going to go happen, so I'll just
- 51:51Speaker 5: pick it up, so never do on the way back
- 51:55Speaker 5: from the office. Problem.
- 51:57Speaker 4: So oh yeah, Francis, I'll get your car. By the way,
- 51:59Speaker 4: what do you want me to unfortunately.
- 52:01Speaker 5: Looks like both front windows are broken this time.
- 52:04Speaker 1: So that's the New York you voted for. I know,
- 52:11Speaker 1: do you guys know who Curtis Slee? Why is? Yes?
- 52:14Speaker 8: Now?
- 52:15Speaker 1: Yeah, he's he's fucking hilarious.
- 52:18Speaker 5: Sounds familiar mayoral candidate for New York right now who
- 52:22Speaker 5: won't win because he's on the right and it's going
- 52:25Speaker 5: to be between.
- 52:26Speaker 1: He wears a red beret. He wears a raspberry boat
- 52:28Speaker 1: beret like he's got goddamn.
- 52:30Speaker 5: He was in the Guardian Angels. Really yeah, and maybe.
- 52:34Speaker 4: He still is, but he might have been at that wedding.
- 52:36Speaker 5: His whole dude, his whole platform. Like my grandmother was
- 52:40Speaker 5: talking about him and remembers being in New York in
- 52:43Speaker 5: the nineteen seventies when Curtis Sleewah and his guys would
- 52:48Speaker 5: come on the subway and just stand on the subway.
- 52:52Speaker 5: They still do that to make sure that shit didn't
- 52:54Speaker 5: go wrong. They've been doing that for sixty years. He
- 52:56Speaker 5: just goes on with like dudes with red berets. I
- 52:59Speaker 5: saw him walking around Sanjannaro festival. It's like maybe eight
- 53:03Speaker 5: dudes in red berets, and half of them are like
- 53:06Speaker 5: seventeen year olds with like thin, wispy.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Ratti mustaches and they like basically pound their fists and
- 53:11Speaker 1: like so anyone.
- 53:13Speaker 4: They're just like protectors of the streets.
- 53:15Speaker 1: You're like plain clothes Batman's.
- 53:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I fuck with it.
- 53:19Speaker 4: Yeah, no problems, Huh, I said, I see no problems.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, no, there is no problems. They're trying to
- 53:24Speaker 1: be protectors of the of the city. And he uh.
- 53:28Speaker 1: They asked him if he ever rides ubers or yellow
- 53:31Speaker 1: cabs in the mayoral debate, and he was like, I
- 53:35Speaker 1: haven't ever since I got shot in a yellow cab
- 53:39Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety two by the Ciceros. And the girardis
- 53:43Speaker 1: like saying, like two crime families came up and found
- 53:46Speaker 1: him in a yellow cab and shot him in I
- 53:48Speaker 1: think in his ass or something like that, or his
- 53:50Speaker 1: leg or something, because he was trying to take down
- 53:53Speaker 1: the crime families. He was like very publicly anti crime
- 53:57Speaker 1: and they shot him in the ass. Two crime families
- 53:59Speaker 1: had once shot him in the ass.
- 54:01Speaker 4: That's not good.
- 54:02Speaker 1: They opened either side, I could just shot. He's such
- 54:07Speaker 1: a fascinating character. Yeah, Like if you saw him in
- 54:10Speaker 1: a movie, you'd be like, this is overwritten.
- 54:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know a ton about him, but uh,
- 54:16Speaker 5: you couldn't have three more different candidates for mayor of
- 54:20Speaker 5: New York right now.
- 54:21Speaker 1: I see lots of tiktoks that are like, you shouldn't
- 54:23Speaker 1: even fucking talk about politics if you don't know the
- 54:25Speaker 1: difference between socialism and democratic socialism? What is what is
- 54:32Speaker 1: the difference of.
- 54:33Speaker 4: Though I'm gonna steer clear.
- 54:37Speaker 1: The definition difference.
- 54:38Speaker 5: My understanding is that democratic socialism still adheres to like you.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Know, don't say democracy, no.
- 54:45Speaker 5: More like it's it's not quite such literal socialism. You know,
- 54:49Speaker 5: it's not like everybody should make an inequal slice of
- 54:52Speaker 5: the pie basically, and that like healthcare and all those
- 54:54Speaker 5: things should be run by the government, and it's it's
- 54:59Speaker 5: what it's or diet socialism, Yeah, that's what it is. Yeah. Uh,
- 55:04Speaker 5: they're not applying to the letter of the law. Some
- 55:07Speaker 5: like communal handout program maybe, but nobody cares about that difference.
- 55:12Speaker 5: When you hear socialism in America, you hear the opposite
- 55:17Speaker 5: of capitalism, which is what people subscribe to here. And
- 55:23Speaker 5: I don't entirely understand how this guy, Mam Donnie has
- 55:27Speaker 5: I mean, he's the runaway favorite to win the mayorship
- 55:31Speaker 5: and uh, he's like like the books have him at
- 55:35Speaker 5: like ten to one favorite or whatever.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Yeah, Draftings has some fucking running away with it like.
- 55:42Speaker 5: He's a ninety percent chance to win.
- 55:44Speaker 4: I had him parlayed with Cooper cup over one interruption
- 55:47Speaker 4: last night.
- 55:47Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I'll look it up. I'm curious about.
- 55:52Speaker 1: That, classy. Is that the site that you can just
- 55:55Speaker 1: like bet on people's like lives, you can bet on
- 55:58Speaker 1: if like Trump's gonna pardon did it? And stuff like that.
- 56:01Speaker 1: I don't know, or is that one of them that
- 56:04Speaker 1: you can like delay payments and one of them like
- 56:07Speaker 1: wars happening and stuff like that. I forget which it
- 56:10Speaker 1: could be the same company it should be.
- 56:13Speaker 5: It probably is.
- 56:14Speaker 1: I need to think of a fucking tech company. I
- 56:16Speaker 1: heard these fucking AI companies are are it costs a
- 56:21Speaker 1: billion dollars or fifty billion dollars for every gig a
- 56:26Speaker 1: WAT and they want to have fifty gigawatts of fucking
- 56:30Speaker 1: computers at these facilities.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Yeah, it's insane.
- 56:33Speaker 1: They're spending so much fucking money spending where's the money
- 56:36Speaker 1: coming from to make AI?
- 56:38Speaker 4: It's in and dude, in videos the I think it's
- 56:41Speaker 4: the highest traded company on the stock market right now.
- 56:44Speaker 1: What the fuck is in video up to?
- 56:46Speaker 4: Because every fucking every single company in the world is
- 56:52Speaker 4: they can from in video.
- 56:53Speaker 1: And they're just trying to make everything into AI companies.
- 56:55Speaker 5: Yeah, here's traditional socialism versus democratic socialism. So it's they
- 57:02Speaker 5: both agree that there should be social ownership and economic equality,
- 57:07Speaker 5: but the way they get there is different. So like
- 57:09Speaker 5: democratic socialism believes still in having multiparty democracy, re elections,
- 57:15Speaker 5: all that stuff, civil liberties, and it's very like anti authoritarian,
- 57:20Speaker 5: whereas socialism is like Marxism, where it's like the government
- 57:25Speaker 5: is going to be the group that makes us happen,
- 57:27Speaker 5: and we don't mind getting behind a single party that
- 57:31Speaker 5: is authoritarian, centralized, etc.
- 57:35Speaker 1: Did GPT tell you this?
- 57:37Speaker 5: It's the AI. It's the AI overview from Google, which
- 57:41Speaker 5: I have found to be just one of those things
- 57:43Speaker 5: that started happening in my life and is now one
- 57:47Speaker 5: of my favorite things in the world. Oh, why I
- 57:50Speaker 5: don't want to go hunting. I don't want to read
- 57:53Speaker 5: fucking summarizing a Wikipedia thing on democratic socialism. You got
- 57:57Speaker 5: to read fourteen paragraphs.
- 58:00Speaker 4: Yeah, but also I don't know, I just don't trust it,
- 58:03Speaker 4: Like I feel like it's just wrong. Like I'll ask
- 58:06Speaker 4: it things all the like all Google things not intending
- 58:09Speaker 4: to ask AI, and then they'll give me an answer.
- 58:11Speaker 4: Well I'm like, well, immediately that's not right, Like that's
- 58:14Speaker 4: clearly not the.
- 58:15Speaker 1: Craziest part about it is there it's an Indian dude
- 58:17Speaker 1: typing it in real time. It's just like processing, but
- 58:22Speaker 1: he's flying through it like those places at the airport
- 58:26Speaker 1: where you thought that it was like scanning the ship,
- 58:29Speaker 1: but it's really just a dude in Mumbai fucking logging everything.
- 58:32Speaker 4: They've taken those data centers, there's not actually computers in them.
- 58:35Speaker 1: It's just for.
- 58:37Speaker 4: Crank. That's what the cooling systems are for. Like it's
- 58:43Speaker 4: hot here.
- 58:46Speaker 5: AI was originally actually just odd Jay and we couldn't
- 58:50Speaker 5: translate that correctly so that.
- 58:53Speaker 1: No one grinds like them. Have you ever seen the
- 58:55Speaker 1: tiktoks of the dude who has an Indian uh like
- 58:58Speaker 1: repair shop and he's just banging stuff all day. Oh,
- 59:01Speaker 1: he goes through like twenty things simultaneously and so impressive.
- 59:05Speaker 4: That's what I'm trying. I'm trying to get to a
- 59:07Speaker 4: level where I can repair shit like that. Yeah, yeah,
- 59:12Speaker 4: do you.
- 59:12Speaker 5: See the white guys mimicking the people making Indian street food?
- 59:15Speaker 1: Classic? Now, I don't think so true classic.
- 59:17Speaker 5: It's one of the funniest things.
- 59:19Speaker 4: I don't think I've.
- 59:19Speaker 1: Seen it a true British class. Are they British? They
- 59:22Speaker 1: got more?
- 59:24Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not racist if they're British.
- 59:27Speaker 1: They had Indian people first.
- 59:29Speaker 4: Yeah, it's only racist if they're American.
- 59:31Speaker 1: India is Britain basically exactly. They're basically the same.
- 59:35Speaker 5: Place, and a lot of British would say that England
- 59:38Speaker 5: is now India.
- 59:39Speaker 4: Jerry and Mook both didn't know that Asia or that
- 59:42Speaker 4: India was in Asia. He was like this, we were
- 59:46Speaker 4: interviewing a coach for our team and he was like, yeah,
- 59:48Speaker 4: I'm from Asia. He's like He's like, yeah, grew up
- 59:51Speaker 4: in an Asian household. And so I was like, oh,
- 59:53Speaker 4: like really and Jerry was like, you don't look Asian
- 59:56Speaker 4: and he was like, I'm Indian and he was like
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: and he was like in like like Chicken Tika Massala India.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: India is a bit of a curve ball from Asian. Look.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: They kind of did their own thing. They kind of
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: went rogue and just like kind of like a nice look.
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: He the dude Swaggy, the guy that we were interviewing,
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: he called it a subcontinent.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Interesting. I mean, there's enough people.
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: A billion, don't they usually specify like East Asia versus
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: Southeast Asia versus like they that's the pockets or whatever.
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: Yeah, but it is all Asia.
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: Yeah, but I.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Haven't until recently like that. They you would almost differentiate,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: you claim it differently.
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: Yeah. I haven't heard too many people from India say
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: that they're Asian. That feels I don't know.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Maybe it was just a contextualized it's to some barstool bros.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: That's like, I'm a North American, you know.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: If he said probably it was just expecting Jerry to
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: be like, so you're like a.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: Cherokee, what are you up in Wyoming?
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: I got confused about. When I was coming up, I
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: was taught that Australia was both its own country and
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: its own continent and it is. Have we changed that
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: classification since that would?
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I didn't have anything. I didn't change it did.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: No. I was always under the impression.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: It was the same or New Zealand's part.
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: I always like Australasia, and I don't know where all
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: countries are starting to listen. I didn't change that. That
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: wasn't me either, Okay, I don't know why they, but
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: everyone seems to want to claim some piece of Asia,
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: and that makes me worried because it's like, wow, China's
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: got everybody unnoticed exactly.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that's they're trying to, like geopolitically, be like, oh no,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: we've always been friends with.
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: Yeah, you can enter a different sport line. Would you
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: want to come here from you know, China?
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: How long of a flight is it from New zeal
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Or from Australia to China.
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: From I know that from New Zealand to Japan is
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: eleven hours?
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Really mm hmm.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: I looked that's brute because you would think it would
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: be what three Yeah? Yeah, and then I guess I'll
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: just wrap up the trip head over to China for
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: a couple of days.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I thought I would stop at Hawaii on the way
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: to It's like, it does not work like that. It's
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: actually way farther if you go that way instead of
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: going over the top, like ten hours to Hawaii and
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: then ten more hours of Japan. I thought they were
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: right there.
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: It makes you wonder if America is the best place
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: to live for travel like countries?
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: That's a good question.
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: We can go to Europe.
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: I think the answers definitively no, No.
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: Okay, why, like, what's what it wouldn't give me.
- 1:02:56Speaker 5: Your Well, ask yourself, where do you removing America from
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: the equation, if you wanted to travel to different countries,
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: what are the countries that you would want to go
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: to Europe? Well, there you.
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: Go, but but you probably wouldn't want to go to
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: those countries. But it wouldn't be the same if you
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: lived in Europe.
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: I don't agree with that. I think I think if
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: you lived in France or Spain, like those people go
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: on vacation to you know, Iza and fucking the South,
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: but they can also go up to Scandinavia to get
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: a different slice of life. And then if they want
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: to jump to like Turkey and fucking that area is
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: not that bad.
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: That just sounds like America.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: I think sneakily that the best place that you're flying
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: from is Israel. That's like right, that's right in the middle.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: You can go over to Africa, you could go to Asia,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: very East Asia is like so accessible if you're coming
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: from Israel, or you could go to Europe right there
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: pretty simply. Yeah, but that's definitely what they were fighting over.
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: So many of those flights.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Yeah, so many of those flights are what.
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: The fights always get canceled from Israel because the fucking
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: runways and fucking shambles.
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: Not in Israel, they got the Iron Dome.
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: That that you know, you get. They'll still let a
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: couple through. They're like Doctor Manhattan.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Or like Dubai or something like that. But that's too
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: like how.
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: Do you think they tested the iron Dome when they
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: make like do you think they put it up? And
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: they're like, fucking hope it works.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: It's like the cops who put on bulletproof vests and
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: like shoot.
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: Me, yeah, yeah, and then they die.
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: I think it is. I think it is Europe.
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: Though it's the premiere destination. There's the not even destination,
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: it's the premiere location location. Wow.
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: I have a friend who he does a lot of
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: business in Hong Kong and he goes there like once
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: every two months for like two weeks, and he was like, dude,
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: I can't live in America anymore with how much I
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: have to go to Hong Kong. And they moved to
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: Switzerland and so now SWI you'd be like, well, okay,
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: but that's the flight is cut in half. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: and then he can.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Is that much closer.
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: Yeah. The flight to Hong Kong's what fourteen hours or
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: some shit from here? From here, I.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Thought it was seven hours.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: I thought it was like a day.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: From here, it's probably like thirteen fourteen or whatever. And
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: then from Switzerland it's probably seven. Yeah.
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: Seven's light too.
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Seven is California.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: In Europe, you are making a trip to the far
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: flung places you would want or need to go, the
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: equivalent to what it is for us to go to Europe.
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: And to that point, I would even argue that in
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: America there are completely different place like living on the
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: West Coast in America, getting to Europe is a nightmare.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: Oh yeah, big time.
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: It's like that.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: That's like a ten hour flight plus worse eighteen.
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: And a lot of the flights you got it. Well,
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: it's not that bad.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I okay, four hours?
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: How much fuel do you think these planes can fucking hold?
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: A lot? I would I would kill to be on
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: a flight that gets that gets refueled while we're in
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: the air. You ever see that ship.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Yeah, at the penis, the threading of the needle, the
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: oil penis.
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: Isn't that just military space though?
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: Yeah, what would be cool if I did it to
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: like a Boeing. You don't know, spore now, I don't
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: your airbus man, that's why a bowe would need it though, Yeah,
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: Airbus would never need it.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Bone's running out of gas.
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: I do think that I do think that it is Europe.
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: Although it's a good take. I like that take. It's
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: definitely not let's put it this way. It's definitely not
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: South America. Yeah, you have to live somewhat close to
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: the equator to the middle.
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I agree. I think it's definitely Europe.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Iceland is not a bad thought because a lot of
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: people go from the top.
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: You're like four hours to the east coast of America
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: or whatever, and you're maybe five and then you're, yeah,
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: a couple hours to Europe.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Maybe we all go out to Iceland, just as guys.
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: I would definitely go to Iceland.
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: I don't want to go there again. I'm done with Iceland.
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: I'm dying to get back to Iceland, get another chance,
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: get another cast in the fish, just show them what
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: I've learned the same time.
