- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to rain a little this weekend, but still, I don't know, not a bad thing.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was hoping for some sustained good weather to get some striping dawn on the parking lot and all that.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_05]: Part of just, you know, making a place look nice for spring.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: Somewhere, all of that.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_05]: For the semi-quincentennial.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: You want a little good for that, too.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody should try to spruce up their property, put some bunting out and flags.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you don't believe in America anymore, do you?
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's right.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: I read it in the news this morning.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: We live in a state where the legislature and it goes on to Governor Hockel's desk, passed a bill of removing the word mother from all state law.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: We just had mother's day.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: Apparently, it's the last mother's day once the governor signs it because the mother is now known
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not kidding ya.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not kidding ya.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: And a father is known as a non-justidating parent.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: Remember when they used to get into custody battles and we'll call it that anymore, but you're no longer the punitive father or the alleged parent.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_05]: It gives a little criminal tone to it.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, non-justidating parent, hey, mom!
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: thank god horseback raise out of the forest business or he doesn't have to have somebody call up and say i want to send some flowers to my non-justating parent no he'd be on it don't get me wrong he's smart guy but hey did you hear we're scot gray went to France oh party vuchet yeah all that bonesure he probably taught him a few words before he went over there um...
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you met with President Macron or not, apparently looking at some nuclear plants.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_02]: Couldn't you just look at them online?
- 7:15[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Paris is nice this time, I guess he went up to Normandy, sent some pictures from there of the cemetery, which is quite a site, quite a site to see those crosses lined up.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_02]: and uh... i don't know if he was in Paris we do not have a photo yet and i would think he would send one standing in front of the i full tower that's the iconic photo if you go to france and don't come back with the i full tower picture i don't know missing something is supposed to do that okay so we don't know if that picture exists but i did see the pictures he sent from normandy in a very nice
- 8:01[SPEAKER_02]: OK, all you gestating parents and non-justating parents and other people who are sterile baron and infertile like some, you know, that's a protected glass of people down in New York.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_05]: You can say that, so you're being picked on and you get money.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's amazing this state.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: Why would someone, well, nothing better to go down to Albany as a legislator,
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: and say, I want to sponsor that bill that eliminate mothers from the all state law.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: Why would someone do that?
- 8:41[SPEAKER_02]: What what kind, what is wrong with these people?
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: And you're on them.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: Hockel will sign it because she has to.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: And approximately a 43% of you will go out and vote for her.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: Here in the city probably over 50%.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: and she always said she's the first mom governor we're the first gestating parent guy crazy stuff
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we still have a California election results, you know, we, we get ours here, I mean, you know, by 11 30 or so that night on election night, you know, there's always the ones that are trickling in in the mail that were mail the day before or something and you're going to get that and everybody understands that, but in California, they still are unable to call elections, because there's always 56% of the vote counted or 60% or something like that, now I don't know how they're computing that,
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: Whether those are ballots that were mailed out to the accounting and all of that may never be mailed back in.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: There's people here that somebody wrote into my blog, that they got a ballot from California and never lived there in years.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know how you can take election seriously.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the Democrats, they had to talk about all that.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not hyped up on the IDs and all that stuff.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: talk about our democracy all the time.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: Our democracy is more often than not a joke and it isn't California when it's Thursday afternoon, and you can't say who won the election.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: We think we know because the margins are pretty substantial, but we don't know.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, price of a stamp going up to 82 cents on July 12, you know, people complain about that, but I always say,
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: customer complaints I say listen if I gave you a letter that walked down to shootings and I said I'll give you 82 cents to do it they tell me to get lost but you can send that letter all the way to LA or Seattle or Miami or something for 82 cents I think it's a good deal I like we like our mailman and all of that stuff so that story doesn't bother us
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: Well, when I'm up in Hewvolts, and it's right outside of Ogden'sburg, a nice bedroom community, I guess, of the Maple City, or what's left of the Maple City.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: Two kids, they were at Newsy Council, it was at a demonstration at Hewvoltsons, but they didn't say what the demonstration was about.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: Was it an anti-Trump rally?
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: Was it anti-IS?
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: What was it?
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, some guy from my gunsburg showed up at the demonstration at the school.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: I guess roughed up a couple kids.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: You got charged with the tempest strangulation.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_05]: Well, that is something.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_05]: That is something.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, what else were you going, uh, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just, just
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: It is hardball, and that's going to happen.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm who would think it while you're talking about a congressional seat, one of 435 in the country, of course, they're going to, you know, this is a seat that could determine the control of Congress.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: Now some of you think it's a wave election, the Democrats are going to win 50 seats, and I get that.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: But, oh, they're saying it's going to be close, and this race is close.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: Who's the best candidate to beat?
- 12:47[SPEAKER_02]: I assume, like, gender-been.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: the cows and carhurt guy from Lisbon, yeah, I don't know, I don't know, I had a chance to meet him once he stopped by the bar with his lovely bride and I wasn't there at the time or she had been to meet him, you'd like to meet these candidates, life met Constantine Ocasis, he's been here at the station.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_05]: I haven't met Mr. Smallen, I doubt you.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not a voter in the district.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: And the guy from Lake Plaza, I don't know anything about him.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_02]: Good afternoon around the air.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: Good afternoon around the air.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_21]: Good afternoon Jeff, I thought I'd share with you the fact that the water town DMV is closed today for computer work, but it'll be reopened tomorrow in water town.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: All right, thank you.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: Huh?
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: There's things to know.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, any government agency that wants to get the word out on something is welcome to just call in and say, No.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: Just want to tell you.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: But we depend on our listeners to be crack at things.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_02]: They got that building torn down yet downtown.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: Did anybody go through that and see what's in it?
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: Is anybody know what's in it?
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: I've talked to people who had gone through.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not being critical.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying, you know, a city staff aren't wonderful people, but I just didn't know.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: Is anybody gone through it?
- 14:16[SPEAKER_02]: Is there anything in it to value furnishings, equipment, fixtures?
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: You know, a lot of doors and commercial doors and windows are wicked, expensive, wicked.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: And there might be some salvage value in all that.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: But after noon you're on the air.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, good afternoon there.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_05]: Fuel will turn.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_05]: I believe that it may have been not a demonstration that you would think I was a demonstration.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_05]: It was a march with may have been a martial arts demonstration and maybe was showing some holes that didn't quite work the way you wanted to.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, who is this guy from Ogden'sburg?
- 14:59[SPEAKER_05]: I don't really know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don't really know, I don
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: may have gone awry a little bit, but Well, they might have gone home and said something, and then all of a sudden, yep, yep, I'm in dad see y'all, litigation, so who knows?
- 15:42[SPEAKER_05]: As long as you got on the line, I've been listening to you for years, I've never called in.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: Don't live in the city.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_05]: I live outside, and I keep hearing people say it's a city manager, and only people need to be a resident of the city.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_02]: to be looking for the best person, not for the person that happened to live in the city.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: Well, my hope is that they would want to live here and be part of the community.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: But that's, you know, I understand your view.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_05]: Well, look at how many people have moved out of the city over the last four years because they want to get out in the country where it's nice and have an ice home and I think that's where it boils down to a year.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: Well, maybe we got too many, then we don't need as many administrators, maybe.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm just saying that I think it's important to really look as a best qualified person when they live in the city You think the mayor should live in the city That might be I think the mayor and the council people should live in the city really again I'm on the outside.
- 16:45[UNKNOWN]: I'm out.
- 16:46[UNKNOWN]: I'm out in the country.
- 16:47[UNKNOWN]: I'm not in the city.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't been for you.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: Now where do you what where do you live?
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not by a very
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: You get the cheap electricity, right?
- 17:02[SPEAKER_05]: Oh yeah, no, yeah.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_02]: But for you, I'd be running an extension court so the people outside their village and selling it to my friend.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I don't think that's what we're very big.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, you're very lucky.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_02]: So, good for you.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's my thoughts for the day.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: All right, thanks a lot.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: All right, we're being heard in Theresa and I was gentlemen of Carlton to clarify that may have been a martial arts demonstration.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's what he says.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: Of course,
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know whether it's covered up or it's kind of like the streaking incident in Copenhagen we told you about yesterday.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: Cone of silence down over that one, yeah, no doubt about it, so we don't need to know certain things.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_02]: Did you enjoy Steve Jenning's yesterday?
- 17:47[SPEAKER_02]: He had some thoughts on city council and diseases and all of that stuff and well, of course,
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: like if you're at the doctor's office at the dock and I smoke and no they're not supposed to say yes uh... but uh... you shouldn't and i'm glad fewer people smoke i've noticed it just anecdotally uh... don't know if you have her or not but uh... and people are all over that indoor you know smoking and all that so
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's common life, but you know, he said more people are vaping, which we don't even know it.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a little electric thing, you know, I don't even know what it is.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_02]: And then this new thing, these nicotine pouches, calls Zen, and they're all over the place.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: People just take them out of their mouth and throw them in toilets and urine holes and leave them in their drink glass or something.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, you know, you have empty out the drink glass and you're a funnel, and you look what's that thing down there's a funnel as a strainer on it.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: It was kind of gross where he explained how it's got little pieces of charge of glass in it and all of that stuff and Hey Well, it was good to see Mr. Jennings, you know, he's a nice guy.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: He's got some Politically, I don't know he's they'd come with a Harris photo two years ago, but I'm not a hater I don't have
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: you know a democrat derangement syndrome or anything so i don't hate people who voted for comola uh... you know we've got customers we've got even one employee of a comola and uh... it's just one of those things you know but i'm not a hater when it comes to that stuff let's see yeah there's still reporting that
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: And then you could have our, you know, in theory, but this, this happened last year or two years ago in 20 years.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: Or, obviously, you have everybody knew who won the presidential contest there because it was so lopsided, but a lot of congressional seats, they got like 52 of them there.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, you didn't have results for days or weeks and, you know, at ballot in balance is the makeup of the Congress and all that.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's really screwed up.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's some reason that on election night at midnight, you get results from Iowa and it's 99% of the votes counted.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: And in California, it's half of votes are counted.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: And they got the whole high-tech industry out there.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: You think, yeah, you know,
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: But so we were doing it now here in New York.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty good.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if you've got the early voting goes into the computer, and then absentees, which used to have to sit in a file drawer for 10 days after the election.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well now those are, I think, registered when they come in the B.O.E.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: so immediately at 9 o'clock you've got all those early votes and absentees, and then you get the machine vote, and yes, if someone made a ballot the day before the election, it got their three days after that counts.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: So you might have a few hangers out there, but not, but we're seeing in California.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_05]: But they just sit and defend it like crazy.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's that Steve Hilton's been stuck at 1.42 million in Bessarra, you know, and it's just nuts, just nuts.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: Um, anyway, 755, 1240 is the phone number, if you'd like to, yeah, show of shows today.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: uh... uh... i don't know john boulton's gonna plead guilty malinda french gates they're poor she found out how many are how many uh... cheques is it all i'll be there was banging she was she got a half the money so she can give two hundred and fifteen million dollars the health care and everything they're given away money like crazy but uh...
- 22:04[SPEAKER_02]: Then he got guys like that stiger out in California.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't give money to charity.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_02]: He just spends it on vanity campaigns to run for president or governor or whatever.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_02]: So, typical Democrat.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_02]: 755-1240 is the phone number if he'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_02]: And does anyone have any comments on Scott Gray going to France?
- 22:29[SPEAKER_02]: I was shocked when I picked up the paper this morning.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I've got to look at that texty sent me.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he sent me some pictures of Normandy, very moving pictures and the memorial there, but there's no picture of him standing in front.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: roof of trip mr. gray picture i know you could do it with a i but picture in front of the uh... i full tower would be appreciated or a picture with president macron maybe checking out the jewels at the loofly pretty nice are something like that but uh... maybe uh... saying a prayer note for the name he was some landmarks we can look at not very often are assemblyman goes to
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: somewhere.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: I remember the mayor went to Austria one time, and it's about it.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: About it.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, 755.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: What about that Scott Pele, it's the most of you are diehard CBS viewers, a rusty dial syndrome.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_05]: But that CBS evening news is terrible.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: 3.787 million people.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even watch it, Tony decouple, who the hell is he?
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever happened to Dan Rather, whatever happened to all of the people there, Walter Cronkite and Bob Sheeper and those people, icons of the industry, and now they've got a guy named Tony decouple on there doing problems, and I go, if you want to find out what's going on, you've got to go out and see me, no, sit at the anchor desk and let the reporters go cover things, buddy, and Scott Pellie got an argument with the management
- 24:29[SPEAKER_02]: I know we live at a time when everybody's got their rights.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: Mr. Pelle, you don't.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: Even though that happened in New York, you too mailed to pale and to stale.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: There are no state agencies for you.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: But the fact that, you know, you feel entitled.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_02]: As I see people who think Jimmy Kimmel's entitled to have a late night comedy.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_05]: No, he isn't.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm not entitled to have a hotline.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here because I produce some massive audience, but I'm not entitled to it, and I'm certainly not entitled to go in the front office and tell off the boss and feel, well, you can't fire me, man.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_02]: So these days, in some circumstances, you can say that, and all of that, but it's crazy.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: And I guess you can go tell the boss and some people's minds, but yeah, first got Kelly, so what, so what, nobody cares, buddy.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody cares.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: We're watching other things for our news.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: I watch news nation quite a bit.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: I know we got a person who writes in to my blog, he says, you go 60,
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: Not the case at all.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: I do watch a lot of Fox, but I also watch News Nation, and I watch CNN.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: I like watching Caitlyn Collins at 9 o'clock.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_02]: This turned a volume down and watch.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like the president said, she's very, very attractive, but very mean.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know she's mean.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: But MSNB, MSNB, that's a little tougher.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: I do watch a little of it.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, I get the paper every day.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in a stalker person, you know, what else?
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's about it.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: Now, if I'm, as far as Channel 7, I might check the website out or something like that.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't really watch the news much and would John Moore off the air.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's just not the same.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_05]: So, I do check their stories and all of that.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: They do some good work here.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: They got some good news.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_02]: uh... seven fry five twelve forty is the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today well but happens in news in these days especially in national and local level is there's no sense of urgency you feel if i want to be in that stream of events i got to go watch the news read the paper and a lot of times like we had that debate with constant you know in small and nothing in the paper
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: And like on news, they grab some video the next day, but they put our turn to the round and had, we didn't had video on right at six, because the damn thing started at 530.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: So there's not that sense of urgency that I think there was years ago when you got to have it now and all of that stuff.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: Just my thoughts, a lot of people disagree with me, I am a failed journalist, but after you're in here,
- 27:48[SPEAKER_03]: another beautiful day.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_03]: I just wanted to mention I wanted to say I can't wait till the press secretary comes back from baby leave.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_03]: But I thought those other guys you're doing at hex phone job.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_03]: Get Mark Rubio in there.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm on a guy's secretary of treasury did you see Marco Rubio it's that congressional hearing yesterday He was great what those people in their place even Danny would have to admit he was on point there And a lot of those Democrats trying to make fun of his shoes or something or other sounded just plain stupid
- 28:23[SPEAKER_03]: my shoulder, what are you writing down and going down, just writing down, who's looking on my shoulder?
- 28:29[SPEAKER_03]: I was funny, but he took the questions pretty well and he answered them excellent.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think he could be an early favorite in our mind for a president in
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: You can't have two people, you know, who are, that much, and I know Reagan took Bush back in 1980, uh, 1980, uh, but, you know, I don't, I don't think I rubio vance to get works for me.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think I, a rubio, taking mayor.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm kind of thinking, uh,
- 29:15[SPEAKER_03]: I got you in the hot spot now you're on the end.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_02]: Who do I want for Vice President?
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we gotta have some balance in the check it up about the Senator from Alabama.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh uh, uh uh, uh uh, uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: pick some pull to his name is to be interim director see the problem is trump can't get anybody confirmed in the in the senate because he's got fifty three republicans well is humor but now you got cacity tell us and uh... corn and all
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: cheat off they won't vote for anything trumpets forward and there might be a couple others so i don't think you could get this palty guy i don't even know why he's a d and i i'm as qualified to be d and i as he is maybe more so cuz uh... you know uh... i don't know i've thought she's i believe that he's wicked well we thought about whether she should be the d and i i don't know if that be
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think he'd be in a brutal confirmation fight and uh... you know if if you got nominated and they had to withdraw because of that and i i don't think you want that kind of uh... whatever i think she wants to get out of two thousand twenty six unscath although she's obviously i had some setbacks but you know she holds her house when you're crossing tino or sponk in the get her job now
- 30:54[SPEAKER_03]: And she's out of that one.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: Well, which one do you like among those two?
- 30:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'll take my hand to me.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: Huh?
- 31:02[SPEAKER_03]: Anyways, I think...
- 31:05[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't know.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't think... You know, he's a little Trumpy and sometimes, and the thing he says, but he did have a better demeanor during that debate.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, here's a opponent.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_03]: What is he even to shake me and seeing?
- 31:17[SPEAKER_03]: And I can say, you know, what is the box?
- 31:20[SPEAKER_03]: There's no one going to a box in the house and cover it.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: How do you know that?
- 31:23[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'm but you know what I mean.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: How did you know, Smollin didn't shake us?
- 31:27[SPEAKER_03]: It'd be like, oh, I'm a sore loser.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, how did you know Smollin didn't just shake his hand?
- 31:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's what everybody's saying.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't watch a video all that, but well, wasn't on at local insurance.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_03]: I was trying to, I didn't see him or Tom crap.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, here's the deal, whether he says he saw him or not, that's what's supposed to do with the hundred of me.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_03]: And, uh, yeah, well, you know, I've been, you know, nice to people, you know, I've shaken a lot of hands and been, you know, nice to people, you know, I mean, you know, there's a lady or jamming, even going into a jamming environment.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_03]: You know, the problem there is, as I see it, the second to away from me, I opened the door for him.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_03]: Go, please, it's on it.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and that campaign's been hard hitting.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_02]: No small and commercials, although not many in number.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: Certainly hit hard Constantino calling them not not fit for office and other things.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, obviously, the Constantino commercials are hard hitting.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: Whether they have any effect at this point, I don't know, because I don't even know who's going to vote in that primary.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't know.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_03]: I can't.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not in 21 district.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: and uh... good and that's important because it's that's new or speak i get what i get sick of is i hate to say it because the guy always is telling us he's a marine and we have a marine who listens to the show and god bless him for his service but this small and guy says i'm a marine and any he cries like a little girl about oh he's that's it you know it's picking on me call me names you know buck up buddy get over it man get over it yeah

- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: You know, a lot of you who listen to this show because you're of a generation, remember a song that we all heard as kids, not so much around anymore, but maybe it should be, you know, and whether or not your mother is still with us or you're like, so fortunate or whether she's passed.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_02]: Remember the lyrics, I've been around the world you bet, but never went to school.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: Hard knocks are all I seem to get, perhaps I've been a fool.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_02]: But still some educated folks opposed to be so swell, would fail if they were called upon a simple word to spell.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'd like to put that to the test.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: There's one dear name that I can spell the best, and of course of the song is.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: Teas for the tears were shed to save me, ages for her heart of purest gold.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_02]: I, as for her eyes, with love-light shining, our means right and right shall always be.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: Put them all together, they spell Mother.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: And that means the world to me.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: What a lovely song, isn't it?
- 38:14[SPEAKER_02]: But the state legislature is passed.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: Both thousands and essentially governor who will likely sign to the build
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: And now, mothers will be referred to as justating parents and fathers, fathers, they come at non-justating parents.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: Now, not baby daddy, non-justating parents.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: But is there something intrinsically sick in that?
- 38:41[SPEAKER_02]: You really support that I imagine, there's people here in the community, I'm sure the school superintendent thinks they should be called justating parents and I'm sure there's a handful of others.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: But good God, I noticed that the council meeting the other day, the mayor, she wouldn't call him homeless people, she uses this word unhoused.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I don't know what they are.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: But they're homeless people.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: The interest, but you can't say that.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, they see what they cut the ribbon on that building on main avenue, the millen main apartment, but what a gorgeous building that is.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: And he got to be, well, if you're living, if you were homeless and you're living there, you're no longer homeless, I guess, but it's, and then people drug addictions and mental health problem.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, people need a place to live, yeah, but I, what's going to happen over there?
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: Is that going to become the new 232 West Main?
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure the police know the numbers 232, well not the younger officers, but the older ones.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: So, um, yeah, it's just incredible, but I, I don't know.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, that building's going up, I guess nobody cares if he can't say more, there's to any more.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_02]: Or you can't in an official proceeding with the state of New York, if you're in front of,

- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody texted me and are the city legal firms expenses public knowledge.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: He says 10 years ago, city law expenses were 148,000 this year, 435.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if those are even accurate.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_02]: Because you really don't know about it right to know, but it's a need to know.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_02]: Even council members are forced into, if they don't want to disclose it, they'll force a council member to do foil proceedings, which is really an abomination.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't know how much they spend on lawyers.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: I would rather have any house council.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: But again, it's like everything in water, Chances.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, there's nobody here who's qualified.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, we can't find anybody in the city who's qualified.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_05]: We can't find this.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_05]: We can.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: Man, what a community of goons we have.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_02]: If that's the case, yeah, but that'd be a nice job for somebody.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, let's say you pay them, I'm going to lawyer get two-and-a-quarter, let's say.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: Plus, they're two-and-a-plus, they're getting the, they're getting the state pension thing.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of these, so-called part-time lawyers for all the towns.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: they get like health benefits and pension credits and doing all of that stuff so they work for four or five towns or something like that so it's i remember the long-time lawyer for the chase the idea you know did it by billable hours but he got county benefits and so so i mean it's not like it's an on a peeling job even the part times so-called part-time city or judge it's full benefits
- 45:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so you tell me you can't find a lawyer who would be in the house council.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't buy it.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of good lawyers in town.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: Trying to think.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: I know some of them.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know all of them.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_02]: There's probably some or somebody here you could probably get.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_02]: You know, recently out of law school or something like that, I think that that lady that ran for mayor just graduated from law school, she's not living up here in Florida, what she's doing?
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: But she'd be a cracker, Jack, you know, she has respect for the system, appreciation for representative government.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think we have that much.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_02]: We've so demeaned and diminished the value of our local elected officials.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_02]: that they're not in on anything like that demolition thing they got an email saying we're going to demolish it not there's a problem with this building and you know we need to get some more information or something like that they just we're doing it and you have to vote for the bonding ordinance or else what but yeah surely you could find a lawyer who's a comfortable that's a good question
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know, this guy they got coming up from Rochester, the guy who was at a recent meeting was not the same.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I reasoned I knew was, you know, the first guy I looked a little like Mandami and he got the second guy looked, you know, a different race and so on.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_02]: It was just fine, I don't care.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, so these people, and then they always get there and they, well, I don't know, I haven't looked into that.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's because you don't know where state street is.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's the problem with remote government.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: And we've gotten into that.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_02]: It used to be a had a Jim Harberson who was Corporation Council one time where a Don Taylor.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_02]: And even the managers, like, if you buy into that form of government, even people like Gamalon and Hillary and those people, they at least were here.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_02]: They at least had to drive by houses with holes in the roof on their way home.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_02]: But we don't have that.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: So your question is about how much is spent on legal, I don't know, and I don't think anybody really knows.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you take this thing about this naming rights on the arena.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm sure they had to have a lawyer drop the request for proposals and I'm sure they're going to have a lawyer at city expense drop whatever contract there is and that'll take forever.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_02]: And then there's going to be arguments over signage and who pays for the electricity to for the sign and all that stuff.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, having had some dealings with lawyers the past couple three years, a lot
- 48:36[SPEAKER_02]: keep you on the treadmill till you're out of money or or just say, you know, cry on color something.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_05]: And I feel like it's that way with the city.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's a school district too.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: Dr. Schmiegel always says, oh, I got to go talk to legal.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's always what he says.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_02]: And legal costs money.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_02]: They got like four law firms for the school district I heard.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_02]: Millie told me, yeah, I get all my information from Millie.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know, just something to think about.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_06]: Around the corner, around the continent, around the clock.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_06]: This is the news in talk authority, AM-1240.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_06]: W-A-T-A.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_19]: Constantino won the debate, and the moment everyone's talking about proved it.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_19]: Trump endorsed businessman Anthony Constantino delivered a commanding performance against career politician Robert Smollin.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_19]: Constantino talked about creating American jobs, building a company with over 1,000 employees,
- 49:36[SPEAKER_19]: all while self-funding his campaign to serve the people of New York's 21st District.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_19]: Smallen appeared angry, defensive, and unprepared, but the most talked about moment came at the end.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_19]: After praising Smallen's military service in his closing remarks, Constantino walked over to shake his hand.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_19]: Smallen refused, turning his back in front of the entire audience.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_19]: Constantino later said, if he can't shake my hand, how can he work with people in Washington?
- 50:00[SPEAKER_19]: The contrast couldn't be clearer.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_19]: On June 23rd, vote for Anthony Constantino.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_19]: He's Trump endorsed the job creator, outsider, and fighter.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_19]: He's nobody's man, but yours.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_19]: Early voting starts June 13th.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_19]: I mean, Anthony Constantino and I approved this message.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_19]: Paid for by Constantino for Congress.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_09]: Do you or someone you know have half empty aerosol cans lying around?
- 50:20[SPEAKER_09]: And you're not sure what to do with them?
- 50:22[SPEAKER_09]: What about anti-freeze or even old pool chemicals?
- 50:26[SPEAKER_09]: Now's your chance to clear them out free of charge.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_09]: On June 6th, the development authority of the North Country is partnering with the New York State DEC to host its annual household hazardous waste recycling day.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_09]: That means you can safely recycle items you can't toss in your regular trash.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_09]: Stop out to 21897 County Route 190 in Watertown on Saturday June 6th from 8 to noon and get rid of these items.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_09]: To pre-register and find out what's accepted, visit NorthCountryRecicles.org-slashhouseholdHazardisWaste.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_09]: Again, that's NorthCountryRecicles.org-slashhouseholdHazardisWaste.

- 51:30[SPEAKER_20]: And don't forget the Summers trucks, because around here, Summers means hauling the camper, pulling the boat, loading up the kayaks, towing the side-by-side, trips to camp, run to the hardware store, and maybe even helping your buddy and move again.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_20]: At FX Quarhonda, we're getting ready for the hot weather, with hot buys on vehicles that make summer more fun.

- 53:34[SPEAKER_02]: Well written, the pacing, everything, and the background music, and that voice of that.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_02]: I wish I could get my voice out of the way.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_02]: That guy, if he doesn't have three balls or something, or it's a, I don't know, but there's something there, that's an incredible voice, but extremely well written.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_02]: I tend to look at those things a lot of people don't, but you know, in this industry, where
- 54:04[SPEAKER_02]: whatever you write or put on the air you can't just you know put 30 seconds a gobbledy group on you've got to make it effective that was a good spot and you know i i would have you know i've seen some of the small and tv spots you know they've been hard hitting to a they had cut to the bone so i'm not you know totally of whatever i i do think it was bad he didn't shake his hand i know that's not been an issue here in this media market but boy it sure was everywhere everywhere else
- 54:33[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, again, I realized the city of water town is not in and right 21, but many of my listeners are, so that's why we talk about it.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_02]: And certainly the staphonic seed has been somewhat iconic here in the North Country for about 12 years now.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm going to be tough to see her out, not in office.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm not going to cry over it, you know.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_02]: But it will be sad.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_02]: 755, 1240, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call, to be on the show of shows today.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_02]: And whatever we got coming up.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're clear at a new, yeah, we got everything's run, everything's done.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_02]: Um, still says CBS Chimes on here.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_02]: They're actually ABC Chimes.
- 55:23[UNKNOWN]: No.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_02]: Now there's something that's at effect your life, it's ABC and snow.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to have mutual news, but I guess they don't do that anymore.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_02]: There may be a John Cameron's swazzy in the camel news pair of him.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_02]: Something like that.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: But those days are gone.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_02]: There's no camel news pair of him.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_02]: He can't even mention camels on TV anymore.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_02]: Remember that you used to have the, you know,
- 55:56[SPEAKER_02]: The anchors or sponsors name would be run on a card in front of them like Jack Power would have the You know right in front of him and no stifle people Well, I don't know You know, have anybody good on TV anymore like Carson or Joe Pine?
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: Remember him?
- 56:14[SPEAKER_02]: Who was the other guy who was real?
- 56:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh God.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the cigarettes in his mouth and every nut, that was in more recent years.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_02]: I said, forgot that guy.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_02]: But he was pretty wild on the air too.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_02]: But we don't have anybody interesting anymore on television.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_02]: Cole Bear was just, you know, I, I sometimes get, that's why I'm sick of Hannity because he's a sop for her, the Trump administration.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want somebody who's just,
- 56:42[SPEAKER_02]: you know, blabbering all over their favorite politician, whether it's coal bear or Hannity.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_02]: So it's why I never watched school bear and why I gravitated away from Hannity.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_02]: I watched Caitlyn during that hour.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_02]: 755-1240 is a phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of showers today.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_02]: And whatever you got going on.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's see, um, um, nothing else you want to talk about.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, listen, we have pretty good show today, but I, um, I guess probably the, uh, the big story is that whole Scott Gray and Francis, we want, we want to hear about it.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_02]: Why does, why did he wait a half, we got back to tell everybody.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, see in the old days, you could have had, you know, you could have sent back some pictures for, you know, this text messages go across the ocean, don't they?
- 57:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, but it had it on the news, on newsjunkie and all that covered it in real time, but we find out after the fact, all these senses as a couple of pictures of this.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_20]: Normandy.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_20]: Well, um, we want more.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_02]: We want more photos.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_02]: Not very often.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_02]: Our assembly goes all the way to Paris.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_02]: Alrighty, uh, 755, 1240 is the phone number.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_02]: If any of you have been to Paris, I'm sure you have.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_02]: They say it's lovely in the springtime.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_02]: And, um,
- 58:34[SPEAKER_05]: City of light, saw all of that stuff.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: It looks, you know, like it would be an interesting place.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_02]: Except some neighborhoods over in France are kind of rough now, I hear it.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_02]: You gotta be careful.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_02]: There's actually some neighborhoods that I've heard where the cops won't even go into them.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_02]: and that's the ones controlled by the you know who's and uh... but most of Paris I'm sure is okay and they got a Disney World there and I wonder if uh... yes I'm leaving went to Disney World over there no inspect the magia no line money was there and you visit any wine sellers
- 59:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I didn't We haven't heard anything about what he's other than he was there to look at nuclear plants Well, I can do that online Yeah Ale, anywhere we can take a quick call, good afternoon you're on the air Hey, do you have started double-dub?
- 59:32[SPEAKER_03]: Who's that news broadcast for?
- 59:33[SPEAKER_03]: Eat the smoke on the air and everything else?
- 59:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know, I'm trying to think about it, I'll get it later, okay?
- 59:38[SPEAKER_02]: I got it run, thanks
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm trying to think of who it was.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, somebody's going to tell me and I know they are.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_02]: I know they are.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_02]: Not Tom Snyder, uh, with somebody else, kind of a rockers show, um, oh, maybe somebody will think of it.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, anyway, um, that's our show for today.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_02]: This is the hotline on a
