- 0:06Speaker 1: So, Angie, I saw on social media, you had a
- 0:08Speaker 1: fun weekend?
- 0:09Speaker 2: Are the men?
- 0:10Speaker 3: Okay?
- 0:12Speaker 2: No one is more pressed about my breast reduction than
- 0:17Speaker 2: men who were never gonna see my boobs?
- 0:19Speaker 3: Okay? Why excuse me? So I got a rest reduction
- 0:24Speaker 3: at the beginning of the year.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Oh my guys, I used to be a size the
- 0:30Speaker 2: biggest thing in the world, and they were dragging on
- 0:32Speaker 2: the floor. And so then I got them reduced and
- 0:35Speaker 2: they're still pretty dang.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Big if I'm being honest.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Now, I posted a before and after picture to celebrate
- 0:42Speaker 2: the fact that now I can live a normal life.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I don't have the back pain I used to have.
- 0:48Speaker 2: It's easier to get.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Dressed, all these things.
- 0:50Speaker 2: So on my page, I posted a little before and
- 0:52Speaker 2: after on my Instagram page, But when I posted Instagram,
- 0:56Speaker 2: I also posts to threads, and on threads is where
- 1:00Speaker 2: the men.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Were losing it.
- 1:02Speaker 4: They just weren't having it.
- 1:03Speaker 2: They were so upset that I got a reduction that
- 1:08Speaker 2: I thought, well, I gotta make a little real about
- 1:11Speaker 2: the comments. These men feel so comfortable leaving on a
- 1:16Speaker 2: woman's post, and so, I mean, there's one that I
- 1:20Speaker 2: actually thought.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Was really funny.
- 1:21Speaker 2: So if you're gonna be a piece of trash. At
- 1:23Speaker 2: least make me laugh. But these were the comments to
- 1:26Speaker 2: my before.
- 1:26Speaker 3: And after boo reduction. Why people trying hard to make big?
- 1:35Speaker 4: That sounds so like caveman.
- 1:37Speaker 3: That's exactly the mentality there. Yeah, right, then a gift.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Of Michael Scott from the office going no, and then
- 1:46Speaker 2: my favorite from eight to six.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Bad.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I wasn't eight, but now I'm a sick and that's bad?
- 1:56Speaker 2: And what did these men like?
- 1:59Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:59Speaker 3: I was about to send them pictures but.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Now, but now that they don't like it, I'm going
- 2:04Speaker 2: to keep it to myself.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Be so for real and what do you think or
- 2:07Speaker 4: what do they think?
- 2:08Speaker 1: That you're gonna sprint right back to your doctor and
- 2:10Speaker 1: be like, hey, you know what, there's there's about five
- 2:12Speaker 1: of these unhinged comments.
- 2:14Speaker 3: We need to go back to noise. I need implants now.
- 2:17Speaker 2: The irony is that now that they are smaller is
- 2:22Speaker 2: probably when I would show up them off more. Sure, Yeah,
- 2:25Speaker 2: I suppose, but not not on the internet because the internet.
- 2:29Speaker 3: These men this too.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Bold before the internet lasts forever, and it's also where
- 2:34Speaker 1: dudes think nobody can see their name.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Oh I did not block out their names when I
- 2:40Speaker 2: made my reel. Right if they put that on the internet, made.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Your mother find your comments.
- 2:47Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories victory every morning we practice gratitude
- 2:52Speaker 5: on big ninety eight points out.
- 2:54Speaker 4: If I could, I.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Would keep this feeling in a plastic job busted out
- 2:58Speaker 5: when it was someone's acting hard. It is really needed
- 3:00Speaker 5: to win, you know, sure your little victories with us
- 3:03Speaker 5: at seven oh one seven?
- 3:06Speaker 1: All right, miss ANGI do you have a little victory
- 3:09Speaker 1: for us here today?
- 3:10Speaker 3: The obvious one is that you are back, my friend.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I know when you were under the weather.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I'm so glad that you're I think feeling better at
- 3:19Speaker 2: the very least you're here, and life is just way
- 3:22Speaker 2: more interesting and more fun when I get to do
- 3:25Speaker 2: the show with you.
- 3:26Speaker 3: So that ob be little victory now.
- 3:28Speaker 2: The other one is over the weekend, your girl played
- 3:32Speaker 2: tennis for the first time in years.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I want to say, it's.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Been six years, no, seven years since I got out
- 3:41Speaker 2: on a tennis court.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Okay, girls still got it. Okay.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I was doing my best Michael Chang, going for every
- 3:49Speaker 2: single shot.
- 3:50Speaker 3: That is a nineties tennis player reference.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I am so delighted to finally be back on a
- 3:58Speaker 2: tennis court with someone who like I went with Mikey
- 4:01Speaker 2: and my kids. It's sometimes it's hard to find people
- 4:04Speaker 2: who want to play tennis with you, and that's why
- 4:06Speaker 2: it's been so long. But I'm back, baby, I'm very
- 4:10Speaker 2: excited now. Is my right knee kind of screaming at
- 4:14Speaker 2: me ever since I've played tennis?
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yes?
- 4:17Speaker 2: Is it very good at telling me when it's going
- 4:21Speaker 2: to rain?
- 4:21Speaker 3: Has that heightened ever since?
- 4:24Speaker 4: Yes?
- 4:25Speaker 3: My poor Trickney. But I am very excited.
- 4:28Speaker 2: And I'm someone who I'm on like a fitness journey
- 4:31Speaker 2: or whatever, and I do.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Work out, but I don't love that.
- 4:35Speaker 2: So now that I can get back on the court
- 4:37Speaker 2: the weather's nice, I think in lieu of a traditional workout,
- 4:41Speaker 2: I'm just going to try to be really active on
- 4:43Speaker 2: the tennis court.
- 4:44Speaker 3: And I'm very excited for that and for.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Me, do do you we have a bunch of tennis
- 4:49Speaker 1: courts kind of by where we live.
- 4:51Speaker 3: I went and I played at Davy.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I was going to say, whenever Corey and I are
- 4:55Speaker 1: walking Wanona, we always see people playing tennis over there.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Weather.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Now one day it'll be yeah, that's right, it just
- 5:01Speaker 1: might be well, that's wonderful. I went through a big
- 5:04Speaker 1: tennis phase one summer when I was in high school.
- 5:07Speaker 1: My buddies and I we'd all go play tennis. I think,
- 5:10Speaker 1: you know, because when you're young and you don't have
- 5:11Speaker 1: any money, you're trying to do things that are free
- 5:13Speaker 1: and yeah, fun and free.
- 5:15Speaker 6: You know.
- 5:15Speaker 1: We all got a couple of tennis rackets, a couple
- 5:16Speaker 1: of tennis balls, and we went through a big summer
- 5:19Speaker 1: tennis phase.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Gabe, let's play tennis together.
- 5:21Speaker 4: It'd be great. Yeah, I'd love to. I'd love to
- 5:23Speaker 4: play some tennis here.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yes, I feel I feel just so back to myself
- 5:29Speaker 2: and I love that.
- 5:29Speaker 3: What about you, Gabe? What's your little victory?
- 5:31Speaker 4: My little victory?
- 5:33Speaker 1: We and by we, I mean my wife and I
- 5:35Speaker 1: rented this camper to do a big family reunion this
- 5:40Speaker 1: past past weekend. My little victory was it all went
- 5:45Speaker 1: off without a hitch, no pun intended, but it was
- 5:50Speaker 1: just so fun. I don't know what it is, and
- 5:52Speaker 1: maybe I'm just kind of a loser, okay, but there's
- 5:56Speaker 1: just there's just something so dude. There's something just so
- 6:01Speaker 1: like guy about when you got your truck and you're
- 6:04Speaker 1: driving down the highway and you're towing something behind it. Yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 1: there's just something inside of a dude's body that wants
- 6:12Speaker 1: to erupt into a pretty butterfly when you are doing
- 6:17Speaker 1: any kind of like towing or hauling.
- 6:20Speaker 4: And it was so fun. It was great.
- 6:22Speaker 1: It was such a cool experience. I haven't had a
- 6:24Speaker 1: toe anything in a while. I used to do when
- 6:26Speaker 1: I was landscaping, you know, we'd pulled around equipment or whatever.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But like this camper thing. Oh, it was so great
- 6:32Speaker 1: and it went off without any problems.
- 6:34Speaker 4: You know, we paid and all that went well.
- 6:36Speaker 1: They didn't charge us extra for anything, so it all
- 6:38Speaker 1: apparently went pretty well.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Do you feel like you got like an extra stamp
- 6:42Speaker 2: on your man card kinda Yeah.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I kind of woke up this morning feeling a little
- 6:47Speaker 1: bit tougher for you, which is rare.
- 6:50Speaker 5: All right, bag work weg worg works to me work,
- 6:56Speaker 5: wag work.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I found this very interesting from Steven's Bielberg, the obviously
- 7:01Speaker 1: famous director. He said it there, yes, is one job
- 7:05Speaker 1: in Hollywood he never got, and it was directing a
- 7:10Speaker 1: James Bond movie.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Spielber.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Spielberg revealed he asked the Bond producers twice once after
- 7:17Speaker 1: Jaws and then again after Close Encounters of the Third kind,
- 7:21Speaker 1: but he was turned down both times, and the funny
- 7:26Speaker 1: part that that rejection eventually led George Lucas to pitch
- 7:30Speaker 1: him for Indiana, Jones and Now and Now. Spielberg jokes
- 7:36Speaker 1: that if you know the Bond movies ever came calling,
- 7:39Speaker 1: his answer would be, you can't afford me?
- 7:42Speaker 3: What a flex?
- 7:43Speaker 5: I know what.
- 7:45Speaker 6: I mean?
- 7:46Speaker 1: Other than just wanting to because he loves the franchise,
- 7:49Speaker 1: it's not he needs to direct a Bond movie at
- 7:52Speaker 1: this point. Yeah, yeah, And it brings the question, what
- 7:56Speaker 1: would you say to the one job that turned you down?
- 8:00Speaker 1: And it might not be bad, it might be funny,
- 8:02Speaker 1: it might be nice, it might be something sweet or
- 8:05Speaker 1: you're throwing daggers seven zero one two eight zero one
- 8:09Speaker 1: nine eight seven, What would you say to the job
- 8:12Speaker 1: that turned you down?
- 8:14Speaker 4: This morning?
- 8:14Speaker 1: As Spielberg really flexen on James Bond, because one could argue,
- 8:20Speaker 1: is Spielberg bigger than the Bond.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Franchise at this point?
- 8:23Speaker 3: Obviously?
- 8:24Speaker 5: I think he is.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I couldn't tell you a single person who directed a
- 8:28Speaker 2: Bond me either.
- 8:29Speaker 3: I just know that Bond movies exist.
- 8:31Speaker 2: You're Steven Spielberg and you immediately know, yeah, exactly.
- 8:36Speaker 3: I gosh, I'm trying to think.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I have any job that's ever turned me down, I
- 8:41Speaker 2: would probably say, like, good call. Actually I was not
- 8:46Speaker 2: I was not qualified. I don't think I'm really qualified
- 8:49Speaker 2: for any job in this life other than this one.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Other than yapping away on the radio. I'm not really
- 8:57Speaker 3: good at anything else.
- 8:59Speaker 2: In fact, anytime I would work I worked retail before this,
- 9:03Speaker 2: and anytime I would get promoted to like a managerial position,
- 9:09Speaker 2: I would demote myself after a couple months because I
- 9:12Speaker 2: fully believe in the you know, the world needs ditch
- 9:15Speaker 2: diggers too. Yeah, I'm a follower, so I would be
- 9:18Speaker 2: a really good employee because I would follow directions and
- 9:20Speaker 2: they're like, let's promoter, and it's like wait, wait, wait
- 9:23Speaker 2: once I have to manage.
- 9:25Speaker 3: People, Absolutely not. But then I had it in my
- 9:27Speaker 3: head like maybe I should.
- 9:28Speaker 2: So I applied for a management position somewhere and the
- 9:31Speaker 2: interview was not great and they did not give me
- 9:33Speaker 2: the job, to which I say.
- 9:35Speaker 5: You right, you're right.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Well, you know what, Angie, you have something in common
- 9:42Speaker 1: with Leslie. Leslie said on Facebook, thank god you didn't
- 9:46Speaker 1: hire me. Now, maybe that maybe that's not quite a
- 9:50Speaker 1: nice response, per se, but it's honest. And what we
- 9:53Speaker 1: love the most about Big ninety eight point seven in
- 9:55Speaker 1: our Facebook page, and when you chime in is when
- 9:58Speaker 1: you are honest.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Well yeah, it's brutal sometimes, but we like it.
- 10:02Speaker 4: That's right.
- 10:03Speaker 1: We do have Whitney on the phone. Whitney, what would
- 10:04Speaker 1: you say to the job that didn't hire you?
- 10:07Speaker 6: Just so you know, the company that hired me after
- 10:10Speaker 6: you passed, they pay me more, treat me better, and
- 10:13Speaker 6: let me work from home.
- 10:14Speaker 5: So thanks for the motivation.
- 10:16Speaker 4: There you go.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Absolutely, yeah, for sure. We also had Dustin who said
- 10:21Speaker 1: new phone? Who dis is just a classic response.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Have you ever been turned down for a job? Gabe?
- 10:28Speaker 3: What's what would you say?
- 10:30Speaker 4: I don't want to tell you tell me I in
- 10:33Speaker 4: my thirty five years of life.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Okay, this is one of those your labster's two buttery situations.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I am pretty sure I have never interviewed for a job,
- 10:44Speaker 1: got to the interview part and.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Then not gotten it.
- 10:47Speaker 3: But I hope you get fired.
- 10:51Speaker 4: But I have been a radio guy since I was
- 10:55Speaker 4: like twenty, so.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I have Okay, so you were already in my feel
- 10:58Speaker 2: already kind of was there.
- 11:00Speaker 1: But you know, I interviewed to work at restaurants before,
- 11:03Speaker 1: and I was a busser and servers and things along
- 11:06Speaker 1: those lines. But as far as once I turned twenty,
- 11:10Speaker 1: thank the good Lord above, you know, fingers crossed. It
- 11:13Speaker 1: has all gone well. But I didn't want to share
- 11:15Speaker 1: that with you because it sounds so arrogant, like fuck
- 11:19Speaker 1: me down. You let me get in the room, okay,
- 11:22Speaker 1: and we'll be just fine. We did have Mark on
- 11:25Speaker 1: the phone, Mark, what about you?
- 11:26Speaker 6: I would tell them thank you because I am so
- 11:29Speaker 6: glad that they turned me down. I know I would
- 11:31Speaker 6: have been miserable there. So Alex Tracy O'Neil, who interviewed me,
- 11:36Speaker 6: thank you for not giving me a terrible job with
- 11:38Speaker 6: no future.
- 11:39Speaker 4: I gotta be honest, I respect me. I gotta Mark
- 11:43Speaker 4: this morning.
- 11:50Speaker 1: This past weekend, I got to be a part of
- 11:52Speaker 1: the Corey family camping trip. They do this thing kind
- 11:57Speaker 1: of every single year. It's sort of a family get together.
- 12:00Speaker 1: You know a lot of families have that where they'll
- 12:02Speaker 1: do the one thing that they all go to yeah
- 12:05Speaker 1: throughout the year. And there was something I was consistently
- 12:08Speaker 1: reminded of for the three or two and a half
- 12:10Speaker 1: days that I was there or whatever. Oh wow, like
- 12:13Speaker 1: your summer's over, and I kind of stopped and I
- 12:17Speaker 1: had this moment of realization, like, oh no, yeah, you're right.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I do nothing for the rest of the summer, absolutely nothing.
- 12:24Speaker 3: I mean maybe the rest of the year.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe not until like Christmas.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:30Speaker 1: And I know there will be some people who say
- 12:33Speaker 1: you might be thinking it right now, and it's you're
- 12:35Speaker 1: fair in thinking this, like, oh, your life's just about
- 12:38Speaker 1: to start.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Baby, g you'll arrive.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Let me tell you, Okay, this will be the first
- 12:43Speaker 1: summer in my life where I go do nothing from
- 12:46Speaker 1: now until for about a month. I'm kind of just
- 12:49Speaker 1: putting my phone on loud ready for the hey do
- 12:53Speaker 1: we got to get to going text or phone? Yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 1: my wife. And it was just very funny. So a
- 12:58Speaker 1: big thank you to Corey's fan for letting me know
- 13:00Speaker 1: that my summer in life is over.
- 13:02Speaker 3: That is true, it is over, but it's over in
- 13:06Speaker 3: a fun way. It's you will You'll have all.
- 13:09Speaker 2: These great experiences with the new baby. It is going
- 13:12Speaker 2: to change your life.
- 13:13Speaker 3: But yeah, it's very fair to mourn that summer as
- 13:18Speaker 3: you've known it for the past.
- 13:19Speaker 2: However many years thirty five, that's not going to be
- 13:22Speaker 2: the same, Like your life is not only about you
- 13:25Speaker 2: and you know, your relationship anymore. This this new little
- 13:29Speaker 2: baby that's going to take up all this time. So
- 13:31Speaker 2: to that, I say, Gabe, we got to do a
- 13:33Speaker 2: bunch of stuff. We gotta do like one final hurrah
- 13:36Speaker 2: week for you.
- 13:37Speaker 4: We'll have to try to put something together.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I for sure, there's gotta be golf,
- 13:41Speaker 2: there's got to be karaoke, and there's got to be, oh, tennis,
- 13:44Speaker 2: because now we're going to play tennis. And what does
- 13:47Speaker 2: Gabe need to get out of his system as his
- 13:50Speaker 2: final hurrah before becoming a dad?
- 13:53Speaker 3: Let us know seven oh one two, eight h one
- 13:55Speaker 3: nine eight seven.
- 13:57Speaker 2: We got to get you to really jam pack an
- 13:59Speaker 2: entire suntil like a week.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I know because we I was sitting there, you know,
- 14:03Speaker 1: and we're obviously all having a good time in chit
- 14:04Speaker 1: chating and just talking.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Yeah, and everyone was just like, oh it was I don't.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Think they were trying to do this, but you know
- 14:11Speaker 1: how many times I heard like, oh yeah, just like
- 14:13Speaker 1: when you want to go somewhere for the weekend, you
- 14:15Speaker 1: really kind of can't anymore, and blah blah, blah.
- 14:17Speaker 4: I'm like, gee, what thanks? You know what's over?
- 14:22Speaker 2: Sometimes you'll be able to because I got baby fever,
- 14:25Speaker 2: but I A'm pubbing out anymore kids, So I'll watch
- 14:27Speaker 2: baby Gene.
- 14:28Speaker 3: You can, you and Corey can go live a life.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Yeah there was.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Corey's aunt kept referring to it as like, oh, yeah,
- 14:34Speaker 1: we can almost just have this be like gabees bachelor party,
- 14:37Speaker 1: which is what you kind of just described, golf, karaoke,
- 14:41Speaker 1: just the weekend's worth of fun. So but it was
- 14:44Speaker 1: very funny to have a moment of man, I will
- 14:46Speaker 1: never have the same summer ever again. And the last
- 14:50Speaker 1: summer is with the one where we can't go do anything.
- 14:53Speaker 1: It's almost like, man, couldn't we have planned this different?
- 14:56Speaker 1: And you'd have been like three months pregnant?
- 14:57Speaker 3: Right?
- 14:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:00Speaker 1: Nine, Father's Day is right around the corner, if I'm
- 15:09Speaker 1: not mistaken. Father's Day coming up? Is that on Sunday, the.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Day on Sunday, Yes, only a few days away.
- 15:16Speaker 1: This Sunday, that's right, And uh, you know, to honor
- 15:19Speaker 1: dear old dad today here on Big ninety eight point seven,
- 15:23Speaker 1: We've got some things that you will never hear your
- 15:27Speaker 1: dad say, never of this like, for example, you'll never
- 15:32Speaker 1: hear dad say, oh, you just got a new car. Well,
- 15:35Speaker 1: that's awesome. Well, with cars in twenty twenty six, you
- 15:39Speaker 1: don't have to worry about the maintenance at all. They
- 15:41Speaker 1: just fix themselves. You'll never hear dad say this.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Well, dad's hyper focused the moment.
- 15:48Speaker 4: You get a car, right, all right?
- 15:50Speaker 1: What about this, Angie, You'll never hear dad say, do
- 15:53Speaker 1: you fill your tires with premium air stop?
- 15:58Speaker 2: That's that's always the best prank to do on a dad.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I spent two hundred dollars on premium my tires.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yes, that's so funny.
- 16:06Speaker 1: The reactions are so funny. Sometimes they just start laughing.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I feel like they get it a bit. When they
- 16:12Speaker 1: don't get it's a bit. It is very funny.
- 16:14Speaker 3: I mean, that's the surefire way to make your dad mad.
- 16:16Speaker 3: What about this? I mean this is you know, for
- 16:18Speaker 3: a specific group of dads, you're.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Never gonna hear some dad say I'm back from getting
- 16:25Speaker 2: the milk.
- 16:27Speaker 1: That's a dark joke. All right, I have one more
- 16:31Speaker 1: for you here once again. Happy Father's Day, Tenny Dad.
- 16:34Speaker 1: This week and coming up on Sunday, you'll never hear
- 16:37Speaker 1: dad say, yeah, the ac is on, so when you
- 16:41Speaker 1: go outside, you don't have to worry about shutting the door.
- 16:44Speaker 4: No, baby, I am. I am paying to heat the outside.
- 16:48Speaker 4: I feel like to cool the outside. Yeah.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Now here's the thing is that I think, Gabe.
- 16:55Speaker 2: I know that baby g has not arrived yet and
- 16:57Speaker 2: will likely not be here by this sudden day.
- 17:01Speaker 3: But you've been training to be a dad for some
- 17:03Speaker 3: time because I know you'd be saying these type of
- 17:07Speaker 3: things to your wife.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I say these things to you as well, like I
- 17:11Speaker 1: don't know in the winter when it's freezing.
- 17:13Speaker 4: No, no, Angie, you don't need a jacket at all.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I'm the worst. I'm sorry.
- 17:17Speaker 4: I have been trying.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Crydad, training for this exact moment my entire life.
- 17:24Speaker 5: In the world of rules in gray areas, one morning
- 17:27Speaker 5: show dares to ask the hard questions. We both know
- 17:30Speaker 5: you're guilty, he's guilty. Is it legal? You're guilty of
- 17:34Speaker 5: the worst crime of all? On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 17:39Speaker 1: One of my favorite parts about Is It Legal, Angie,
- 17:41Speaker 1: is you know I kind of get to be the judge,
- 17:43Speaker 1: the jury, and the executioner.
- 17:44Speaker 4: I can look up anything.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I love that for you.
- 17:48Speaker 1: And if you ever have a suggestion or something you
- 17:50Speaker 1: would like me to dive on into.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Let me know.
- 17:52Speaker 1: It's seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I have no clue what started this thought. Okay, sometimes
- 18:01Speaker 1: I don't even know how my own brain works, but
- 18:04Speaker 1: I don't.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Think any of them.
- 18:06Speaker 1: According to some old school boarding house rules floating around
- 18:11Speaker 1: legal folklore, it is technically illegal to fall asleep or
- 18:16Speaker 1: lie down while still wearing your shoes, the so called
- 18:22Speaker 1: shoeless nap rule. The idea was supposedly like a hygiene
- 18:27Speaker 1: based thing back in the day where landlords didn't want
- 18:30Speaker 1: people tracking in who knows what and then just passing
- 18:35Speaker 1: out mid shoe. So in theory, if you're that person
- 18:38Speaker 1: who gets home, flops on the couch, wakes up three
- 18:40Speaker 1: hours later, still fully dressed, including shoes, congratulations, you may
- 18:45Speaker 1: have just may have just committed a very sleepy misdemeanor.
- 18:49Speaker 1: In eighteen ninety modern law, you're fine. Your couch might
- 18:55Speaker 1: not be, but legally you're in the clear, whether you
- 18:58Speaker 1: are in for fargo more head so obviously an outdated
- 19:03Speaker 1: not realize.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Now we're gonna start having things run like eighteen ninety
- 19:07Speaker 2: in my home because nothing drives me more insane than
- 19:10Speaker 2: Mikey flopping down on the couch with his shoes still
- 19:13Speaker 2: on it.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Yeah, because they always end up.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Being just slightly on the cushion and I'm like shoes
- 19:18Speaker 2: and he moves them just.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Enough to be technically on the couch.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't like it.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I remember growing up my grandmother we had this, not we,
- 19:29Speaker 1: she had this I don't know, white couch, not full white,
- 19:34Speaker 1: but white enough to wear obviously shoes.
- 19:36Speaker 4: That was a god no.
- 19:37Speaker 1: You might as well drive two hours and go back
- 19:39Speaker 1: home if you're gonna do that. But it was also
- 19:42Speaker 1: no feet, like, no socks, no bare feet, nothing. If
- 19:46Speaker 1: you were on this couch, you were sitting up fully vertical.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Did you She didn't have the plastic on it. That's
- 19:53Speaker 2: like a very grandma, I think, to have the plastic
- 19:55Speaker 2: on the couch.
- 19:55Speaker 5: No.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I don't know if she got rid of it or
- 19:57Speaker 1: if she ever had it at one point, But thankfully
- 19:59Speaker 1: I didn't have to hear the old like, as you're
- 20:02Speaker 1: moving around.
- 20:05Speaker 5: You know the thing that you're thinking about, but you're
- 20:08Speaker 5: too polite to say we got you? Are you calling
- 20:11Speaker 5: a coony queen? You dying on the hill of controversial opinion,
- 20:17Speaker 5: so you don't have to be This is sorry, not sorry.
- 20:24Speaker 5: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 20:27Speaker 2: America is turning two hundred fifty years old on July fourth,
- 20:33Speaker 2: very exciting, lots of celebrations to be had.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I get that.
- 20:37Speaker 2: You know what, wouldn't make sense to celebrate America turning
- 20:41Speaker 2: two hundred and forty That doesn't sound right.
- 20:44Speaker 3: That's just kind of an arbitrary thing, right.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Sure, yeah, I'm with you.
- 20:49Speaker 3: So why why do people.
- 20:52Speaker 2: On social media insist on doing this very annoying thing.
- 20:57Speaker 3: I'm as nostalgic as the next person.
- 21:01Speaker 2: But unless it's your literal, actual birthday of a human,
- 21:05Speaker 2: a human's literal birthday, why are we celebrating arbitrary years?
- 21:09Speaker 2: This happens a lot with movies where it's like, oh,
- 21:13Speaker 2: this movie came out eighteen years ago today, and eighteen
- 21:19Speaker 2: is a random number.
- 21:21Speaker 5: You know what movies?
- 21:22Speaker 4: I'm down.
- 21:24Speaker 2: You know what movies are turning twenty three this year?
- 21:27Speaker 2: Pirates of the Caribbean, the very first one, Finding Nemo
- 21:32Speaker 2: Kill Bill Volume one. Know why we shouldn't celebrate this
- 21:35Speaker 2: because they're turning twenty three at minimum, you gotta wait
- 21:39Speaker 2: until they turn twenty five to say anything about it,
- 21:41Speaker 2: because those that's like a milestone year. Thirty that's great,
- 21:46Speaker 2: thirty years ago this movie came out perfect. You know
- 21:49Speaker 2: it's turning forty four this year, et Blade Runner, Annie,
- 21:55Speaker 2: you know why we can't celebrate that turning forty four
- 21:58Speaker 2: because that doesn't make sense and once you get into
- 22:01Speaker 2: the higher years, turning forty five next year, No, no,
- 22:05Speaker 2: you gotta wait till fifty because that's a milestone year.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Stop celebrating arbitrary years of when things came out.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Okay, I get it. We love nostalgia, but stop, but
- 22:20Speaker 3: stop unless it's someone's actual breath. Like I'm turning thirty
- 22:23Speaker 3: nine this year.
- 22:24Speaker 2: That's right, and that's exciting because that means I haven't
- 22:27Speaker 2: died yet. Okay, right, but really, when am I gonna
- 22:31Speaker 2: have the huge shebang when I.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Turned forty forty?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Yes?
- 22:36Speaker 3: Stop?
- 22:37Speaker 4: You want a nice round even number.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yeah, here's okay, you and I we've been on air
- 22:41Speaker 2: together for a year and some change. We celebrate the year.
- 22:45Speaker 3: I don't think we can do anything big until we hit.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Your five year five. Yeah, I'm with you on this.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Two years that's too random.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good, This is Gabe's
- 23:01Speaker 5: Good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 23:05Speaker 1: A Fargo summer tradition is helping little kids get ready
- 23:08Speaker 1: for a big milestone. The Safety Town program is once
- 23:13Speaker 1: again teaching incoming kindergarteners how to stay safe while having fun.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Kids learn everything from fire safety to water safety, to
- 23:22Speaker 1: traffic rules, bike helmets, and how to interact with first responders.
- 23:26Speaker 1: They even get the chance to meet local police officers
- 23:29Speaker 1: and firefighters and ask all their important questions. Organizers say
- 23:33Speaker 1: the goal is to build good habits early and show
- 23:36Speaker 1: kids that being safe can actually be fun. More than
- 23:39Speaker 1: sixty kids are taking part in each session this summer,
- 23:43Speaker 1: getting ready for kindergarten, one safety lesson at a time.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, this is so sweet.
- 23:51Speaker 2: It feels like just yesterday my kids were going into kindergarten.
- 23:54Speaker 2: But you know what, I feel like they could use
- 23:56Speaker 2: a refresher on safety.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, and you know, kids knowing what to
- 24:00Speaker 1: do in certain situations, how to approach certain situations not
- 24:05Speaker 1: only a builds confidence for them, but I would assume
- 24:08Speaker 1: you know, as a parent, it's like, oh hey, my
- 24:09Speaker 1: kid at the very least has taken some refresher course yea.
- 24:14Speaker 1: What to do if they're in AB or C situations,
- 24:17Speaker 1: So so good, great news for the kiddos and great
- 24:20Speaker 1: news for mom and dad. Here you know my favorite quote,
- 24:23Speaker 1: if you don't hear it is broken crans. They still
- 24:25Speaker 1: color and the world is full of nice people. If
- 24:27Speaker 1: you can't find one, you got to be one.
