Transcript
- 0:02Happy Tuesday morning, everybody.
- 0:06A little cloudy out today. Breaking news in the NASCAR
- 0:14garage area. And buddy, this one's juicy.
- 0:17Haven't heard of, haven't heard of this stuff in a long time.
- 0:20This is a soap opera. This one's a soap opera, as
- 0:25reported by Adam Stern. That's where I got it from.
- 0:30I read it and now I'm commenting on it, Adam Stern says.
- 0:36He says that NASCAR is aware that a Joe Gibbs engineer in the
- 0:47last year of his contract has sold some information to a team
- 0:56that is out of the playoffs. All right, let's break this
- 1:04down. I'm not going to repeat it.
- 1:07I'm hoping you understood that I'm going to.
- 1:09This is your first Test. All right.
- 1:13So years ago I worked for a great crew chief slash slash
- 1:22chassis man named Jake Elder Jake, so little bit of chassis
- 1:29information for $500.00 cash and, and I watched it happen.
- 1:35I didn't think anything of it. I thought, well, Jake J Keller
- 1:39made $500 and back in those days, everybody, you know, it
- 1:46wasn't that big of a deal. Now, you got to remember back in
- 1:48the 80s, there was about 70s and 80s, there was about maybe six
- 1:53cars that could win, you know, maybe Earnhardt, Waltrip,
- 1:58Allison, Petty, Pearson, Yarborough, That's about it.
- 2:04So although NASCAR was awesome, the competition wasn't as stiff.
- 2:11So, you know, you couldn't make as much money back then.
- 2:14So Jake Elder, I watched him and it was at Daytona, the right
- 2:18outside the old tunnel, some money was exchanged.
- 2:22So nowadays you don't tell nobody nothing because as we
- 2:27know, we have 18 winners right now.
- 2:30So when when these teams hire these engineers that they sign a
- 2:37big old contract, I think their word is proprietary or something
- 2:42like that. It's instead of just saying
- 2:44don't share no information, they go proprietary information.
- 2:48It's like, it's like when you sign a contract and you read it
- 2:51and they use the words they're of.
- 2:53Therefore, it's like, get that out of there.
- 2:56That's just stupid language. So Joe Gibbs engineer has been
- 3:02caught selling proprietary information.
- 3:06It means that these engineers signed a contract with Joe Gibbs
- 3:11that they would never breathe a word of anything.
- 3:15Now, what's this mean? Well, right now, until anybody
- 3:19does anything about it, it don't mean a hill of beans.
- 3:22However, it's like Days of Our Lives.
- 3:26It's soap opera in unless Joe Gibbs does something about it,
- 3:32it really don't. It really don't mean a hill of
- 3:34beans. But here's what I find funny.
- 3:37NASCAR knows about it. So I mean, is it?
- 3:44I don't think it's the same thing as, you know, Michigan
- 3:50spying on Ohio, right? I mean, they, they, they don't
- 3:54even make they, they got rid of that dumb deal.
- 3:56So the Michigan football team, you remember that documentary on
- 3:59Netflix? You can find it right now where
- 4:02you know, you you can't film even if even if you're at the
- 4:06game, you can't film Ohio. So, so Michigan, that guy took
- 4:10it upon himself to film some of what Ohio was doing.
- 4:14Well, this is a little bit different deal because you know,
- 4:19this engineer most most likely this is my opinion.
- 4:24This engineer most likely is pissed because he's in the last
- 4:29year of his contract with Gibbs, as reported by Adam Stern.
- 4:34And he said hell, and I'm make me some money hell.
- 4:38They might they might have given him 10 grand and the guy gives,
- 4:41you know, this team outside the playoffs a chassis setup and who
- 4:46is the team outside the playoffs?
- 4:47You know there there's not really any bad teams anymore.
- 4:51So anyway, let's pay attention and see where that story goes.
- 4:55But I thought, oh boy, this is a good one here.
- 4:58This is Days of Our Lives. This is soap opera.
- 5:01What's his name? We don't know.
- 5:03But we do know he works for Coach Joe Gibbs and I guess
- 5:08Coach Joe Gibbs or somebody told NASCAR about it.
- 5:10So as of right now, unless they do something about it, it's it's
- 5:16not breaking the law. However, we do know that the
- 5:20that the contracts with the teams, the engineers, that is
- 5:24breaking the law because they all, all the engineers sign
- 5:27contracts with the teams. I will not share anything with
- 5:31anybody. All right, I think I broke that
- 5:34one down long enough for you. The next on the docket, Haley
- 5:39Diggin. Haley Diggin finally found a
- 5:43home. She is going to go race Indy
- 5:47NXTI believe with HBM Motorsports.
- 5:53What is Indy NXT? Indy NXT is a feeder series to
- 6:00the IndyCar Series. So in other words, Haley, in
- 6:05NASCAR terms, Haley is going to go run the Xfinity Series
- 6:10basically in the IndyCar Series. So if if Haley does good in Indy
- 6:17NXT, her next step would be the Indy 500 and she would move up
- 6:22to the IndyCar Series. Now man, I've been talking a
- 6:27lot. What's the new Herman?
- 6:33Now, I think this is a great idea and here's why.
- 6:36Hold on. I'm going to tell you why.
- 6:39I don't care if you don't think it's a good idea.
- 6:42She don't even run in the NASCAR series and you still don't like
- 6:45her, simmer down people. The reason I think this is a
- 6:52good idea, and this is a controversial take and I know it
- 6:54is, they can't run into her like they did in NASCAR.
- 7:00There's so many jealous men that race in NASCAR that they could
- 7:05take the vehicle and use it like a weapon and they would just run
- 7:08into her and spin her out and wreck her.
- 7:11And it happened all the time. We watched it.
- 7:14So she says to hell with this NASCAR.
- 7:18They're not ready for a woman. NASCAR is not ready for a lady
- 7:22racer. I said it.
- 7:24I said it. So she goes over the IndyCar and
- 7:29if you notice, Danica Patrick had success over there.
- 7:33And I believe this is a better opportunity for Haley.
- 7:36And here's why. Because you cannot take your
- 7:41IndyCar and run into another competitor because it will break
- 7:45your own car. You see what I'm saying?
- 7:48In NASCAR, you can run into somebody, you can body slam, you
- 7:52can get away with it. In the IndyCar Series, you
- 7:56cannot take your car and use it as a weapon because the car
- 8:00break right away. Now you might be able to get
- 8:02away with a little bit of a body slam because you know of this,
- 8:06the side tub on those Indycars. But listen, I know what I said
- 8:13is a little controversial, but it goes back to what I said.
- 8:18Say, you know, say what you mean, mean what you say.
- 8:22So I said it all right? I just think this is a better
- 8:26fit for Haley because now it's car against car.
- 8:28It's driver against driver. It's not like, oh, I don't like
- 8:31a girl out running me. I'm going to wreck her because
- 8:33they did that all day long in NASCAR to Haley and they did it
- 8:36to Danica too. So it's just it's just simple.
- 8:39Here's a quote. NASCAR is not ready.
- 8:43The upper series, the NASCAR Xfinity, the NASCAR Cup Series,
- 8:48those guys are just not ready for a lady racer.
- 8:50They can't take them. They run into them, they wreck
- 8:53them. So congratulations to Haley
- 8:55Deegan. She did not fold her tent.
- 8:58She did not fold her tent. She's she's still racing.
- 9:02So congratulations, Haley. All right, all right, that was 2
- 9:07pieces of news today. We we talked about the soap
- 9:13opera, the engineers selling information to who we don't
- 9:16know. It was reported in NASCAR unless
- 9:20they do anything about it, then that's that.
- 9:23Hayley Deegan going to the basically IndyCar league to
- 9:28their feeder series called Indy NXT.
- 9:30All right, hey, have a great Tuesday.
- 9:35It's a beautiful day, said Herman Munster.
