Transcript
- 0:00Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 62.
- 0:03Sean McAllister: We are talking with a Las Vegas chef who's appearing on the new season of Top Chef.
- 0:08Sean McAllister: You'll hear from chef Jamie Tran coming up in just a few minutes.
- 0:13Dayna Roselli: And in our exclusive Vegas Revealed Twitter poll, some surprising results to a question we asked about how do you feel when you see Las Vegas getting a little bit packed again?
- 0:24Sean McAllister: And Dana and I just received our second vaccine shot.
- 0:29Sean McAllister: You'll hear our unscientific advice to avoid side effects in our tips.
- 0:36Dayna Roselli: It's time to spin the wheel.
- 0:51Sean McAllister: SmackDab in the middle of spring break, March madness continuing, and visitors are back in droves here in Las Vegas.
- 1:01Sean McAllister: I'm Sean McAllister.
- 1:02Dayna Roselli: And I'm Dana Roselli.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: And yeah, that leads us to our Twitter poll this week.
- 1:05Dayna Roselli: We're gonna get right to it, Sean, because this is something that everyone is talking about here in Las Vegas and really around the world, because images from our city are plastered on TV and in magazines and all over the internet lately because people are coming back and they're in the sports book, they're on the strip walking, they're in our pools watching March Madness, places like Circa, and you know, some of our other pools are open as well, I believe, Encore Beach Club and things like that.
- 1:35Dayna Roselli: So let's cue the music.
- 1:39Sean McAllister: We asked, and you have responded to our exclusive Vegas Revealed Weekly poll.
- 1:50Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal.
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal.
- 1:53Dayna Roselli: This is an exclusive poll.
- 1:54Dayna Roselli: And we've had um close to 500 respond on this one.
- 2:00Sean McAllister: I mean, and it uh that's a pretty good response, and it's it's was kind of a surprising response too.
- 2:06Sean McAllister: So our question this week that we asked you on the at Vegas Revealed Twitter page when you see images of a packed Las Vegas, you dot dot dot jump for joy, want to get here ASAP, you cringe and stay home, or you have one foot out the door.
- 2:27Sean McAllister: You just can't wait.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: Now I thought a lot of people would have picked have one foot out the door.
- 2:31Dayna Roselli: Like you kind of want to be a part of that, but you aren't sure just yet, but yay, that's cool, that kind of feeling.
- 2:38Sean McAllister: But no, that was our lowest vote.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, I was surprised by that too, because I was I'm on the same page as you, Dana, that I thought one foot out the door people would be kind of excited, but a little apprehensive.
- 2:51Sean McAllister: Only 7% of the people who responded to our exclusive Vegas revealed poll said that they have one foot out the door.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, really interesting.
- 3:00Dayna Roselli: But our highest number comes from cringe and stay home.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: 49% of the voters say that's how they feel.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: And when we talk about the images, there's, you know, like when we kicked off March Madness recently, you know, Circa is one of our new hotel resorts, and they have a pool area called Stadium Swim where you can actually watch games outside.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: There were a lot of, you know, videos and pictures going around, and it looked, you know, pretty busy.
- 3:26Dayna Roselli: And some people were like, hey, great.
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: Others were like, ooh, a little too close for comfort.
- 3:30Sean McAllister: Yeah, as a matter of fact, there were uh reminders put out by uh the Nevada Gaming Control Board that said, Hey, Vegas casinos, remember we're at 50% capacity here, and that applies to your pool.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: Yes, it's so true.
- 3:47Dayna Roselli: And a lot of our resort casinos are busy and you know, reservations are back and all that good stuff.
- 3:51Dayna Roselli: So, yeah, when we talk about that, that's kind of what we're referring to.
- 3:55Dayna Roselli: And, you know, close to 50% of you say, you know what, that made you cringe and just want to stay home, which was interesting.
- 4:01Dayna Roselli: But we did have a 25% respond that they jump for joy when they see that, and others about 19% wanting to get here ASAP.
- 4:11Dayna Roselli: So it's you know, kind of spread up out across the board there.
- 4:14Sean McAllister: Yeah, it is.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: I mean, there's a decent number.
- 4:17Sean McAllister: Wanting to get here and jumping for joy is almost tied with cringing and staying home.
- 4:23Sean McAllister: So about, you know, half of the half of the respondents were were excited, the other half probably not gonna be here anytime soon.
- 4:32Sean McAllister: But you know, I I think this also applies to people who live here in Las Vegas who just aren't excited to get down to the strip just yet, especially with the spring break traffic and the March Madness traffic.
- 4:46Sean McAllister: And, you know, we just had NASCAR here in uh Las Vegas at the beginning of March as well.
- 4:52Sean McAllister: So there are a lot of visitors coming in from out of state, and the way that states have been handling the the reopenings, I I mean, is just across the board.
- 5:04Sean McAllister: There's places like Texas that say, uh, we're just you know lifting all restrictions.
- 5:10Sean McAllister: Do whatever you want.
- 5:11Sean McAllister: If you want to stay home, do it.
- 5:13Sean McAllister: If you want to, you know, walk around without your mask and you know do that too.
- 5:18Dayna Roselli: But and then Florida's been like a big old free-for-all, but then when it came to spring break, you know, everyone was packing the place and now they had to have curfews put in place, so that whole thing kind of backfired.
- 5:29Sean McAllister: Which that was a weird scene.
- 5:30Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:31Sean McAllister: Seeing the video out of Miami Beach where at uh what eleven o'clock at night uh there were police officers going up and down the main drag there and clearing the spring break people off the streets, which is something that you would never see here in Las Vegas.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: No, that's true.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: And our numbers continue to go down.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: So I'm hoping that you know we can stay that way because there have been like little places, like I think it was like uh Michigan was having some issues with spikes and things like that.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: So um, and a quick mention from Jeff on Twitter.
- 6:04Dayna Roselli: He says, Why can't I jump for joy and get their ASAP all in one?
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: And we said, you can.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: I'll mention it on the podcast.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: So a lot of people feel that way as well.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: So, you know, we're trying to keep it safe and we've got everyone monitoring, you know, all the hotel casinos.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: We still have to wear masks, so you can't be on property unless you have a mask, or unless unless you have a mask on, I should say.
- 6:23Sean McAllister: But as we are seeing uh, you know, visitors returning, we're seeing all of uh the Las Vegas resorts on the strip opening up 24-7, uh, no longer operating on you know reduced hours during the week.
- 6:39Sean McAllister: However, uh, as entertainment comes back, we are getting word that there is uh another uh entertainment venue that has fallen victim to everything that's gone on for the past year, Dana.
- 6:51Dayna Roselli: Yes, Rose Rabbit Lie at the Cosmopolitan has shut down, and I know it had closed, you know, they thought maybe temporarily for a while, but now it's confirmed it it won't reopen as that anyway.
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: It was basically a dinner kind of like a dinner cabaret.
- 7:07Sean McAllister: So you go in, you eat dinner, and there's live performances happening around the room.
- 7:12Sean McAllister: There's tap dancers up on the up on the piano, and Sky D.
- 7:17Sean McAllister: Miles is belting out all the tunes.
- 7:19Sean McAllister: So that was a cool environment, and sad that that that's not returning.
- 7:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it was in a cool kind of like hidden area.
- 7:26Dayna Roselli: Like the cosmopolitan has lots of nooks and crannies.
- 7:29Sean McAllister: Tons.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: You know, like the secret pizza place, and then Rose Rabbit Live.
- 7:32Dayna Roselli: Like there wasn't tons of signs pointing you that way.
- 7:34Dayna Roselli: It was like you had to know it was there.
- 7:36Sean McAllister: The cosmopolitan is kind of like the the English muffin of resorts.
- 7:40Sean McAllister: I know.
- 7:41Sean McAllister: There's all sorts of nooks and crannies.
- 7:42Dayna Roselli: And then you and I were just reading the list of celebs that turned out for the opening of Virgin Hotels.
- 7:48Sean McAllister: Can you call them celebs?
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: And we just have to listen, we try and be honest here on Vegas Reveal some of our feelings and some of our, you know, experience living here for a long time, and and we'll shout out when we think Vegas can do better.
- 8:03Dayna Roselli: But the list of celebs that turned out for the virgin opening, I don't know.
- 8:08Dayna Roselli: I mean, it worries me because I feel like we're going in that D and C list area.
- 8:15Sean McAllister: I mean, Mario Lopez was here, and I think he's probably the biggest name of uh any of them.
- 8:23Sean McAllister: And Dana White, I guess, would be pretty big as well as well Dana White, but I he's not like No, he's he's a a Las Vegas institution.
- 8:31Sean McAllister: Dana White, I would expect him to be there, of course, the you know, head of the UFC.
- 8:35Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:36Dayna Roselli: Um Real Housewife star Melissa Gorga.
- 8:39Dayna Roselli: Is she a big deal?
- 8:41Sean McAllister: I mean, if you're a Bravo watcher.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: And then um a lot of the owners of the actual casino that opened.
- 8:50Sean McAllister: Which of course they're gonna be there.
- 8:51Sean McAllister: I would be shocked.
- 8:53Sean McAllister: I think it would be news if the the owners and the the operators weren't there for the grand opening.
- 8:59Sean McAllister: The Raiders coach?
- 9:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, great.
- 9:02Sean McAllister: He was there.
- 9:03SPEAKER_02: CSLU.
- 9:04SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah, now he is.
- 9:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, okay.
- 9:07SPEAKER_02: Um, and well, that's about it.
- 9:12Sean McAllister: Well, and there's Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: They're from Vanderpump Rules.
- 9:17Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 9:17Sean McAllister: Uh Matt James.
- 9:19Sean McAllister: He was the the most recent Bachelor.
- 9:22Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 9:22Sean McAllister: Uh Chris El Strauss.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: I mean, you know what's the deal?
- 9:26Sean McAllister: And like selling selling LA, is that the show on Netflix?
- 9:30unknown: I don't know.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: Listen, you know what the deal is?
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: You're you're opening and like I get it, it's a whole new thing.
- 9:36Dayna Roselli: It's not the hard rock.
- 9:37Dayna Roselli: But the hard rock brought out, especially when it's the biggest of the big.
- 9:42Dayna Roselli: And listen, I know we're in COVID, blah, blah, blah.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: But even more so, we've got a bunch of celebs that are like glued to LA and can't go anywhere right now.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: So they could take that three-hour drive, a four-hour drive, or a quick private jet, or a quick jet suite airplane ride to be at the opening of a brand new casino just off the strip.
- 10:04Dayna Roselli: So, anyway, I don't know.
- 10:06Dayna Roselli: We gotta bring it.
- 10:06Dayna Roselli: And I was even thinking some people that live here are bigger than some of those people.
- 10:10Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: That's my two cents.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: I guess we'll move on.
- 10:14Sean McAllister: Yeah, I've got nothing more to add about that.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: Okay, on a completely different note, Sean and I just got our second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
- 10:22Dayna Roselli: And, you know, we weren't gonna really post anything about it on our social media and this and that, but we made some mentions, and then I did do a post after the guy who was giving me the shot said, you know, it's good to let people know you got it, you're still around, you're still live.
- 10:34Dayna Roselli: If they have questions, they can ask you for comfort.
- 10:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, and a lot of people were reaching out and asking questions about, you know, any potential side effects.
- 10:43Sean McAllister: What was it really like?
- 10:45Sean McAllister: And so there's been a lot of discussion happening uh on social media.
- 10:49Sean McAllister: So we wanted to clue you in on what our vaccine process was like, what we did that we think helped us avoid some of the side effects of the second dose.
- 11:01Sean McAllister: Uh, so that's coming up in our tips.
- 11:05Dayna Roselli: For this week's interview, we traveled off the strip in the southwest part of Las Vegas to a restaurant called The Black Sheep.
- 11:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, this is a Vietnamese-influenced restaurant uh by chef Jamie Tran.
- 11:19Sean McAllister: She has worked on the strip under some of the most famous chefs that there are in the world, really.
- 11:26Sean McAllister: And then she's branched out, opened up her own restaurant, The Black Sheep, as Dana mentioned.
- 11:32Sean McAllister: But now, Chef Tran is appearing on season 18 of the hit Bravo Cooking Reality series Top Chef.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: So we're here at The Black Sheep, and we're super excited to have Chef Jamie Tran with us.
- 11:46Sean McAllister: Because you're on the the new season of Top Chef, which is coming out uh April 1st.
- 11:52Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 11:53Sean McAllister: This has become one of the top culinary competition shows on TV.
- 11:59Sean McAllister: How did you even get involved with the show?
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: Uh the show reached out to me.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: Uh, and then I uh called them back and then talked to them.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: I'm honestly I do have anxiety doing competitions, so I rejected every competition show you can name of.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: And then even local stuff, I'm like, no, thank you, no, thank you.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: And then they asked me like um why did I reject it the first time?
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: I was like, I don't even know if I rejected, I reject everybody.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: I was like, reject, reject, reject, reject.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: But uh just because they reached out and then I think during COVID time and a lot of thinking during COVID time, and just that's when I was like, all right, here goes.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: And and did you enjoy the experience?
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: The experience, yes.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: I I met a lot of cool people, um, behind the scenes, even my castmates, like the everybody bonded.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: It was like one of the close-knit kind of uh experience.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: But competition wise, I was having a hard time, like anxiety-wise, it was like my nerves that were I was like shaking.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: I was like, what's going on?
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Is this is there an earthquake going on?
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: My hands are shaking.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: My body's shaking.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Um, that was nerve-wracking, but it actually I got out of my comfort zone and it definitely I grew from the show for sure.
- 13:16Sean McAllister: And and there's a lot about um the whole food competition uh idea in general that that I want to get into.
- 13:24Sean McAllister: But but filming, especially now, there are strict uh rules in place for food in general, but when you add COVID restrictions on top of it and a production, the what was that like?
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: Honestly, I felt safe and it it it it was a lot more sh it was strict, but um the the the team, um top chef team, the Bravo team kept us safe, so it was like I just felt really safe in our bubble.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: I would never once thought I would catch COVID, never once thought I was gonna be in like harm's way.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: They kept it super, super safe for us, and I actually felt protected for sure.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, all these bubble shows have really worked, and it's it's provided thank goodness entertainment for everyone now that we're getting back to somewhat normal, that we have actually new content on TV.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: And I also love that you're a female chef.
- 14:12Dayna Roselli: Luckily, I do know a a few hand uh a handful probably of female chefs here in town in Las Vegas, but we love, you know, uh that our female chefs are getting more attention.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: Uh is that part of also why you maybe went on?
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: The main reason I I I love the fact that yeah, I I do want to represent like the like Vegas culture in general off strip and as being a female chef in Vegas, like I it shows that it's possible to like be a female in this industry and make your own like uh become an entrepreneur, open your own business, build your own culture, create your own mission, and create like the people and the team you want.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Um because you can't do that when you're working with other people, you stay with other people, you jump around.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: But I made it my mission when I went to Starbucks State that I was gonna create a business, I was gonna open a restaurant, I'm gonna create a coach that people doubt, and I'm gonna hire people that people doubt like me.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: I give them the opportunity.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: Uh my Zek Sue was doubt at the same thing.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Um and he's 26 and he's my Zek Sue.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: And he thinks me all the time.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: And we're like he's like a little brother to me, so he's like a family.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Uh he encouraged me and my other friend encouraged me to do the show, and I said, fine, if I do this, then if I can do this and you guys can do anything, you can't tell me you can't do anything if I do this.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: So the main reason I went on that and also to just to grow that Vegas is not just a strip.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: It's we are we are developing culture, it's young, but it's gonna, we're gonna have that.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: I do want that vibe like it's San Francisco or New York or something like that, besides thinking like we're just like, hey, let's get lit.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: There's something else.
- 15:48Dayna Roselli: And it is great, you're right.
- 15:49Dayna Roselli: We have great restaurants all over town, you know.
- 15:51Dayna Roselli: I mean, that's the thing.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: I always when people say, Where should I go to?
- 15:54Dayna Roselli: and I'm like, well, do you want on or off the strip, you know?
- 15:56Dayna Roselli: And then from there, uh the list goes on and on.
- 15:59Dayna Roselli: And and this is a great part of town, and you guys have been going strong for four years.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: We have.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I I love the fact that we're like right in the center of where Cars Jr.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: And they're like, You're next to the Cars Jr.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I'm not plugging Cars Jr., but this is Vegas sponsored menu.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Not sponsored, unless you want to sponsor.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: Hit me up.
- 16:20Dayna Roselli: You can always feel free to sponsor Vegas Revealed as well.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: It is all up.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just being in this little strip mall, and uh people like when they come up to you, like, we didn't expect you to be in here, and then when they come in, it's a different like experience for them.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: And me and my partner, we always talk about it.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Um we talk about we want to have the guests to have an experience like they're having it on the strip, and I'm not knocking the strip at all.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: It it gave birth to me and a lot of sh uh chefs all out here, and I I appreciate it so much, and it gave us like this kind of like the service to the community where we will take the same thing that we would do for like any tourist or anybody on the strip.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: We took it off and we brought it here to the neighborhood, and we want to show our community that we want to support them and give them that um experience while at the expense.
- 17:04Sean McAllister: And and uh your culinary evolution in Las Vegas, you've worked under some incredible chefs here, and you've branched out, started your own thing, and in a such a competitive city like Las Vegas, how did that prepare you for the competition on TV?
- 17:24Sean McAllister: Or did it?
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: The name Vincent Possell, he my mentor prepared me for life.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: My dad and my mentor uh uh worked under Chef Charlie, but my mentor was uh executive chef at Oriol.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: He I was put through the ringer, not kidding you, uh put through the ringer, worked with him, learned so much from him.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: Honestly, after working uh at Oriol, I just decided like nothing's like impossible.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: So I just like whatever, throw it at me, I can handle it.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: Just just keep your head straight, work hard, put your head down, and then just go for it.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: And and then I think that prepared me for a lot in life.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: Like just working under my mentor, like you again, like the mentors don't choose you, you choose your mentor, and I I think I did a good job.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: I should have gambled that day, too.
- 18:12Sean McAllister: And that chef Charlie that you mentioned is Charlie Palmer.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Charlie Palmer.
- 18:15Dayna Roselli: Wow, amazing.
- 18:16Dayna Roselli: And talk a little bit about your restaurant right now, um, for folks that don't know, and tell us kind of some about some of the dishes that you you let Sean and I taste, which were exploding.
- 18:28Dayna Roselli: So good.
- 18:28Dayna Roselli: We have another one.
- 18:29Dayna Roselli: What's this?
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: So this is our one of our famous dishes here.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: It's the we do like a curry couscous and it's a Vietnamese-style curry.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Um, it's vegan if you take the duck off because I'm very conscious as well.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: Um, the duck confit is like uh I'm French uh trained, so I do the classical French stuff.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: And Vietnamese and French food goes kind of well together because of the whole like you know colonization.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: Um we have a lot of French influences in our dishes growing up.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: So uh I picked up French food pretty fast.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: Uh but this is our duck konfit.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: I do a lemongrass, I do a short cure because I don't like it too salty.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: I do a lemongrass cure and then different spices, and then we pull it out and then we confit it.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: Uh pan sear it, and then we do a little bit of uh uh Chinese broccoli just to balance off the uh plum, the sweetness from the plum and the curry.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Um we put coconut milk in.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: There you go.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: I just play on like texture, sweet, like like it's very Southeast Asian Vietnamese where you play on the spices, a lot of Asian uh things like spices, heat, sweetness, it's just all that the I don't know, the umami impact for me.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: Um the other dish you tried is a classic Vietnamese uh turmeric crepe.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: Um I did a twist on it and wanted to do lingua and should do some another thing that people are scared of eating, but even you have it, it just tastes like braised short rib.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: So I do in that, I cooked up before that was four to six.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: And you said just dive in.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: You just dive in.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: I was like, get dirty with it.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: You were like, just pick it up.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: Let's go already.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: So pickles, like I put pickles, I love pickles in everything.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: I love the acid and like Vinami Sweet, we have a lot of pickles.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: Uh it just breaks out the fattiness and fresh herbs.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Um, I just love texture.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Like I I think of a lot of stuff.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I want this, and then you tried one of our new dish, the hamachi crudol with the agua chili.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Um, do a Vietnamese style with a little Vietnamese herbs and stuff like that.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: So I I baby shrimps.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: Do you get people um that are actually staying on the strip that come here as a destination point that say, Oh, we heard about your place or we wanted to try to do that?
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Yes, we do.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: It was uh before COVID, we were it was big, and then we still even when we started opening again, it's still people come here.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: Um they always say that like when they pop up like the like the best place to eat or whatever, they always look it up and we're a numbered like we're part of that little group, and then so they come off strip, and we do get a lot of off-strip people, not off-strip, but we get a lot of people on the strip coming off-strip to come see us.
- 21:02Sean McAllister: And and I mean that's a good thing to note for our listeners.
- 21:05Sean McAllister: People listen in 50 plus countries around the world, they love Las Vegas, always want to know what else they can add to their itinerary during their next trip, which thank God Vegas looks like it'll be opening up and we'll be able to be start welcoming our international travel travelers back pretty soon.
- 21:26Sean McAllister: So, I mean, this is a great stopping point and a great addition to the itinerary for anybody coming to town.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: I would yeah, I I think so too.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: Like if they come by and they sir they say they heard us on the podcast, I was like, you get a shot.
- 21:40Sean McAllister: Oh, look at that.
- 21:41Sean McAllister: All right.
- 21:42Sean McAllister: Mention Vegas revealed, then you get a shot down your gullet.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: You get a shot from the shot.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, free shot.
- 21:48Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: You get lit.
- 21:51Dayna Roselli: And I love that you guys are open five o'clock on like dinner time.
- 21:54Dayna Roselli: And it it you know, I asked you, I said, is that because of COVID?
- 21:57Dayna Roselli: You said no, we've just always done dinner time, and I I like that.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: I appreciate that.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: It's our space too.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: It's so small.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: Like it's like our kitchen is like 300 square feet about.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Like a little over that.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: But it's just a small thing.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: And like I just like we I want to focus on the food.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: So we go prep heavy and then we focus on prep and then we shut it down before 12 or 2.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: And then the uh we got the PM cooks coming in, and all they do is focus on execution.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: So I want to make sure the quality is there, consistency is there.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Sometimes, like, you know, we get tired, but forgive us.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: We're not perfect.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: But it's always strive to like just make sure that the guest experience is there for the guests.
- 22:36Sean McAllister: And and did that serve you well uh in the competition, having that prep work mentality and having everything in place so that when it's go time for service?
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: No, I had a lot of anxiety, so that went out the window.
- 22:51unknown: Who am I?
- 22:54Sean McAllister: And and with the anxiety, does it add to it having Padma, Gal, and uh Tom Calicchio standing in front of you?
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Anybody staring at me, I get nervous.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Like even camera crews, yeah, I don't know, any producer, anybody looking at me, I'm like, don't look at me.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: I'm hideous.
- 23:11unknown: No, you're not.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: I'm joking.
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: That probably made for good TV, though.
- 23:16Dayna Roselli: I can only imagine.
- 23:17Dayna Roselli: That's what I'm guessing.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: I'm a hoot.
- 23:20Dayna Roselli: What about people that watch these shows?
- 23:22Dayna Roselli: I mean, is there any inside?
- 23:23Dayna Roselli: I mean, I know you can't tell us everything that went on or anything, but is there anything that you think like a lot of people always wondered about these shows that you could maybe answer?
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: It's really tough, people.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: It's tough.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: It's the it's it's hard.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: It's hard.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: It's very hard.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Don't judge us.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: It's hard.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: The pressure's on.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: We are a pressure cooker.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: It's hard.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that's not fake.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: It's not fake.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:45Sean McAllister: And the time limits that you're under uh uh while you're in production on the show, is that similar to a kitchen environment or is it like super amped up and intensified?
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: No, I think there's a difference between a competition and then the kitchen.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: The kitchen is like you, your staff trying to um get service out in uh like uh in a respectful time and making sure the quality is there and making sure the guest is happy.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: That's a whole different kind of pressure and making sure like you're just not uh you're not a go-go and just trying to throw stuff on the plate and just you know go.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: Competition-wise is always a different beast and I uh it makes you a stronger person.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: Definitely different, different cooking, different cooking styles.
- 24:27Sean McAllister: You have a bit of a a rebellious side, right?
- 24:29Sean McAllister: And that's kind of where the the name of the black sheep came from.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: Definitely soft spoken at times, very jokey, but when I have to lay down the law or anti-law, I will do it.
- 24:40Sean McAllister: And and will we see that on TV?
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: No, you just see the the spaz girl like blah blah not even speaking English, because when I get flustered, I make sound effects and I don't speak English.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: I don't articulate right.
- 24:56Sean McAllister: Just speak in noises, right?
- 24:58Sean McAllister: Articulate in noises.
- 24:59Dayna Roselli: I was like, oh my.
- 25:01Dayna Roselli: You know, I was just curious because a lot of times I'll go out for you know different kinds of cuisine, and I'll be surprised somebody will be like, Oh, I've never had that kind before, I've never had this before.
- 25:08Dayna Roselli: And you know, maybe we have listeners that are like, well, I've never had Vietnamese.
- 25:11Dayna Roselli: Like, explain it to them.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: Well, it's not it's not traditional Vietnamese.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: I always want to tell people that.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: It's basically because I was always structured and I grew up differently too, as well.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: My dad was like um from Vietnam, they escaped the Vietnam War, went to Korea, went to Houston, Texas.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: From Houston, Texas, they went to uh Monterey, from Monterey, Stockton to back to Monterey.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: We moved around a lot, so um had a lot of like I thought Kim Chi was Vietnamese, it wasn't.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: I just basically for myself, this is not Vietnamese, it was a lot of Vietnamese influence in my dish, and it's not traditional, so I don't want somebody to come here and that's Vietnamese, and they're like, This is not Vietnamese, and I'm like, Well, did I say it was Vietnamese?
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: But it was Vietnamese influence with French technique and American green.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: It's basically me on the plate.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: So I'm like a Vietnamese American and I have Vietnamese influence in everything I do, and then um definitely trained in the French uh technique for sure.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: And that's rude, that's me.
- 26:03SPEAKER_04: Uh uh in the phone call.
- 26:05SPEAKER_04: She she's in demand.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: In demand, in demand.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: I'm not in my booty, it's a booty call now.
- 26:13Dayna Roselli: We love your personality.
- 26:15Dayna Roselli: We think it's gonna be great for the show.
- 26:16Dayna Roselli: I can tell that you're you're full of life, you have fun with it, and even though you say you're you have you're full of anxiety, I have a feeling.
- 26:23Dayna Roselli: Oh, that helps energize me.
- 26:26Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 26:27Sean McAllister: It definitely will make for good TV season 18 of Top Chef premiering on Bravo April 1st, which we're so excited, Chef Jamie Tran, to to see you on.
- 26:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: And the black sheep for folks that are curious, located at Warm Springs and Durango in Las Vegas.
- 26:43Dayna Roselli: It's a southwest part of town, so it's southwest of the strip.
- 26:46Dayna Roselli: And we hope you all come and try out some of uh Jamie's food.
- 26:50Dayna Roselli: It's very good.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: Again, come see us.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: A shot for you.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, a shot.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: Vegas revealed, you get it.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: If it's not me, you don't get it.
- 26:56unknown: I know.
- 26:58Dayna Roselli: Are you here?
- 26:58Dayna Roselli: What how many days a week are you here?
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: Only five days a week.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: Okay, five.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: Good.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: Listen, thanks so much for joining us and best of luck on the show.
- 27:04Dayna Roselli: We can't wait to watch.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: All right, thank you guys for having me.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: I'll introduce that.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, I'm gonna eat.
- 27:09Dayna Roselli: Ready, we're diving in.
- 27:11Sean McAllister: How delicious was the food that Chef Tran served to us.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: Really delicious.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: And what I liked even better is that she told us to just dive in with our hands.
- 27:20Sean McAllister: I know, and get messy.
- 27:21Sean McAllister: She doesn't care.
- 27:22Sean McAllister: Get in there, enjoy it.
- 27:24Sean McAllister: And remember, if you go there, ask for Chef Jamie.
- 27:29Sean McAllister: If you say you heard this conversation on Vegas revealed, Chef Jamie Tran will give you a shot.
- 27:35Dayna Roselli: And speaking of shots, it's a great segue to our tips for this week.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: And we want to talk about Sean and I being vaccinated, uh, dose two, done.
- 27:45Dayna Roselli: We got the Pfizer vaccine.
- 27:47Dayna Roselli: We did it at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and a lot of people have been asking us, like, what was it like?
- 27:53Dayna Roselli: How how long was the line?
- 27:55Dayna Roselli: You know, how how how were your side effects?
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: What did it feel like?
- 27:58Dayna Roselli: And it's really interesting because Sean and I really experienced pretty much the same exact thing to a T.
- 28:05Sean McAllister: Yeah, which is kind of weird.
- 28:06Sean McAllister: It is, isn't it?
- 28:07Sean McAllister: Because everybody's experience uh seems so individual.
- 28:12Sean McAllister: But yeah, we kind of experienced the same thing, which when it comes to physical side effects, I mean, there were virtually none.
- 28:21Dayna Roselli: No.
- 28:22Dayna Roselli: We were very lucky.
- 28:23Dayna Roselli: You know, I was a little nervous about the second dose because everyone said, Oh, you get like fever and chills and all this stuff, but like I didn't do too much research because I was like, I'm just gonna, whatever's gonna happen is gonna happen.
- 28:33Dayna Roselli: And and it doesn't last long, everyone says up to like 36 hours.
- 28:36Dayna Roselli: So you and I both got the Pfizer vaccine.
- 28:39Dayna Roselli: The first round we had sore arms.
- 28:42Dayna Roselli: That was about it.
- 28:44Dayna Roselli: And then the second round, we had sore arms.
- 28:47Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 28:47Dayna Roselli: We were tired a little bit in the day after we got the shot, and then we had weird dreams, both of us.
- 28:55Sean McAllister: Not just weird dreams, the the scary, terrifying dreams.
- 29:00Sean McAllister: I I had nightmares, like three or four different nightmares all within one night's sleep.
- 29:07Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:07Sean McAllister: And I kept waking up after them and like I was drenched in sweat.
- 29:11Sean McAllister: So I guess when people say that, you know, there's like fevery kind of feelings.
- 29:17Sean McAllister: I wouldn't say that I really experienced like the fever kind of thing.
- 29:21Sean McAllister: Right.
- 29:21Sean McAllister: But I had night sweats.
- 29:23Sean McAllister: But I think that I don't know, maybe that ties in with how scared I was because of my horrifying dreams.
- 29:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I had scary dreams, but I I didn't have sweats at all, or chills, or anything like that.
- 29:34Dayna Roselli: I, you know, slept pretty good.
- 29:35Dayna Roselli: It's just that the the nightmare kept you know, when you go back to sleep and then it continues on?
- 29:40Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 29:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that kept happening.
- 29:42Sean McAllister: Well, see, mine were three distinctly different ones.
- 29:46Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 29:46Sean McAllister: Yours was the same one.
- 29:47Dayna Roselli: The continuation, yeah.
- 29:48Dayna Roselli: The phone the old phone rang from work, and I'm not a can I share the dream who was on the other line, and then things from the past, and there was people running through a house and a whole thing.
- 29:59Dayna Roselli: But Wow.
- 30:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and even Sandra O from Gray's Anatomy was in the dream, which is really random.
- 30:05Dayna Roselli: I don't have no idea.
- 30:06Sean McAllister: It was well, you are the big Gray's Anatomy fan.
- 30:08Dayna Roselli: True.
- 30:08Dayna Roselli: Somehow that tied in.
- 30:10Dayna Roselli: I have no idea.
- 30:11Dayna Roselli: But it was a flip phone.
- 30:12Sean McAllister: You couldn't have had McDreamy or McSteam.
- 30:14Sean McAllister: No.
- 30:14Sean McAllister: You had Sandra O?
- 30:16Dayna Roselli: Well, because it wasn't a great dream, it was a nightmare, right?
- 30:18Dayna Roselli: So therefore, you know, McDreamy or McSteamy would be in a happy dream.
- 30:24Dayna Roselli: In a lated dream, a floating on clouds dream.
- 30:28Sean McAllister: So after we got through that first night of scary, terrifying dreams, I woke up feeling pretty well rested, honestly.
- 30:36Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 30:37Sean McAllister: Um, my arm was definitely a lot more sore uh after the second shot than it was the first shot, but really nothing I mean, nothing debilitating, nothing that, you know, knocked me out for any period of time.
- 30:52Sean McAllister: So I feel very lucky about that because I know that in talking with other friends and and family, that has not been the case.
- 30:59Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: And you know, you and I decided, well, we had already planned out that we were gonna stay home separately that day, but we got a lot, we worked all day long, and we did get a lot done that day, in fact.
- 31:10Dayna Roselli: But you know, there were little moments where I guess I felt maybe like a teeny little achy, um, took a couple Advil, things like that.
- 31:17Dayna Roselli: But I mean, we really lucked out.
- 31:19Dayna Roselli: I mean, that's that's as far as it goes, that's the worst of it.
- 31:24Sean McAllister: Yeah, so here's the deal.
- 31:26Sean McAllister: So I guess this gets us to our tip of the week.
- 31:29Sean McAllister: What Dana and I did to try and prevent having side effects, which uh we have zero scientific evidence that this did or did not work.
- 31:42Sean McAllister: However, in our minds, it did work.
- 31:46Dayna Roselli: Right, because we experienced the same exact thing.
- 31:49Dayna Roselli: So maybe this was why.
- 31:50Dayna Roselli: So I live near the convention center, and Sean and I decided both times to walk to the convention center and back.
- 31:57Dayna Roselli: So we walked to get the shot and then we walked home.
- 32:00Dayna Roselli: And I know everyone can't come to where I live, but a suggestion would be if you do go to the convention center and you're in town, is park at the Westgate, huge open lot there, and then take a nice brisk walk.
- 32:12Sean McAllister: Because I feel like before we got there to have the vaccine administered, we got our blood pumping, our systems were going.
- 32:22Sean McAllister: It's not like we sat in the car and then stood in line, like we had the activity going, we got our heart rate up, we had our steps in.
- 32:31Sean McAllister: Dana had her Fitbit going, I had my eye watch and tracking our steps.
- 32:37Sean McAllister: And so I feel like when we got ourselves going, like that blood pumping helped to diffuse the vaccine through our bodies quicker.
- 32:47Dayna Roselli: Possibly.
- 32:48Dayna Roselli: And then after we took a brisk walk back, which, you know, it's like, okay, we just had this whole procedure, but now we're moving, we're moving our arms, and we're like, you know, I don't know, again, getting the blood moving and all that kind of thing, and we think possibly it could have helped.
- 33:03Sean McAllister: But here's the deal we took a pit stop on the way home.
- 33:07Dayna Roselli: The second time.
- 33:08Sean McAllister: The second time.
- 33:09Sean McAllister: So this is after vaccine dose number two, you know, brisk walk to the convention center, got the shot, brisk walk, we're on our way back.
- 33:19Sean McAllister: We stop at the Westgate because we were like, hmm, maybe we should stop in for lunch.
- 33:23Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 33:24Dayna Roselli: Because, you know, I've got the the the VIP card over there because I live nearby.
- 33:28Dayna Roselli: So I said, hey, I get 25% off.
- 33:30Dayna Roselli: Let's go in.
- 33:32Dayna Roselli: And we go to the sports book and we start like Googling, like, can we eat this?
- 33:37Dayna Roselli: Can we drink that?
- 33:38Dayna Roselli: Because we started feeling like, you know what?
- 33:40Dayna Roselli: Like, we want to reward ourselves and treat ourselves a little bit here and eat some things we normally wouldn't eat.
- 33:45Dayna Roselli: It's probably not the best idea, but I heard you're supposed to like make sure you have food and stuff like that and eat.
- 33:51Sean McAllister: So you and I Well, and especially if we're gonna be feeling like crap for the next 24 hours, we want to go out with a really good meal.
- 33:58Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 33:58Dayna Roselli: Now, I mean, I think like maybe like a spinach salad would have been better, but we decided to go Philly steak cheese, onion rings, nachos.
- 34:10Sean McAllister: And you got a salad.
- 34:12Dayna Roselli: I got a salad, but it was full of stuff.
- 34:14Dayna Roselli: Like an antepasta salad.
- 34:17Dayna Roselli: There was like salami and cheese and olives and the whole mine.
- 34:21Dayna Roselli: Um, and then we had ketchup packets going and guacamole on the side.
- 34:25Dayna Roselli: It was a whole feast.
- 34:26Dayna Roselli: I got a diet coke and you got a beer.
- 34:30Sean McAllister: I did.
- 34:31Sean McAllister: I got a uh Corona.
- 34:32Dayna Roselli: We googled it fittingly.
- 34:34Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 34:34Dayna Roselli: We said, can you can you drink alcohol?
- 34:35Dayna Roselli: And he wasn't gonna, he was just gonna have one beer.
- 34:37Dayna Roselli: But I was like, I don't know, but you know what?
- 34:40Dayna Roselli: We felt fine.
- 34:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, it worked, I guess.
- 34:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 34:43Dayna Roselli: So it's uh it's a random thing that we did.
- 34:46Dayna Roselli: We didn't plan on eating like that or drinking like that.
- 34:49Sean McAllister: So have comfort food after your shot.
- 34:52Sean McAllister: Get nice and you know, nice and ready in case you do have some downtime.
- 34:58Sean McAllister: It's true.
- 34:59Sean McAllister: Um and if not, then you're fine to get up the next day and go for another brisk walk.
- 35:04Dayna Roselli: There you go.
- 35:05Dayna Roselli: And we did walk back again, so you know, and then after that we drank plenty of water.
- 35:09Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, I took a nap, you were do you were sleeping in and out, and then as we said, that night wasn't so bad.
- 35:15Dayna Roselli: So that's our experience.
- 35:16Dayna Roselli: I've had so many people ask about, you know, like, well, I heard Johnson and Johnson this, and uh, you know, Moderna has more side effects.
- 35:23Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, I really just think it's each individual person and how your body's gonna handle it.
- 35:27Dayna Roselli: I don't know if there's like a result that's like 100%, yes, this one has more side effects.
- 35:35Sean McAllister: Well, my parents just got the second Moderna vaccine back in New York State, and what they did after they got their shot, they went out for a big Italian meal.
- 35:46Sean McAllister: They had like the spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parms.
- 35:50Sean McAllister: So I think they kind of followed our lead on that one.
- 35:53Dayna Roselli: It could be, yeah.
- 35:54Sean McAllister: It could be the big and they and they ended up being after.
- 36:00Dayna Roselli: Um so and also people asking about the line.
- 36:03Dayna Roselli: The line at the convention center moved much better the second time we were there.
- 36:07Dayna Roselli: And when talking with some of the staff there, they said, listen, Clark County has been on this, they're coming up with a great system.
- 36:12Dayna Roselli: Now we're moving crowds through faster, more efficiently, and so it's not so bad.
- 36:17Dayna Roselli: We waited one hour, but the line moved, and it was long the entire time.
- 36:21Sean McAllister: It was really long.
- 36:22Sean McAllister: Although every single time we go, uh the for the first every single time, both times, the first shot and the second shot, we get there for our appointment, we get through the line, and as soon as it's our time to go in and actually get the shot, like the line ends.
- 36:40Sean McAllister: There's no more line out the door.
- 36:41Sean McAllister: So we go at high volume times.
- 36:43Dayna Roselli: We do.
- 36:44Dayna Roselli: We did uh 2 p.m.
- 36:45Dayna Roselli: the first time and a 10 30 a.m.
- 36:48Dayna Roselli: the second time.
- 36:48Dayna Roselli: So um, but anyway, it does look a little crowded in the parking lot.
- 36:52Dayna Roselli: So if you can find a way to to get dropped off, park around there, and take a little walk, it might be worth it.
- 36:57Sean McAllister: Although I did just see uh an uh a report that said that uh demand is starting to slow down for vaccines.
- 37:05Sean McAllister: So we have this huge supply and uh fewer people at this point in the game are registering and signing up to go and get those doses.
- 37:17Sean McAllister: So you know, they they have to be used be otherwise, you know, they'll expire, which isn't a good thing.
- 37:23Dayna Roselli: No, that's for sure.
- 37:24Dayna Roselli: So we we we've been very fortunate here in Nevada.
- 37:27Dayna Roselli: We have, you know, uh moved along with different, you know, age groups and underlying conditions, and what is it, April 5th?
- 37:36Dayna Roselli: Everyone over 16 will be able to get vaccinated?
- 37:38Sean McAllister: I think fifth or sixth, yeah.
- 37:40Dayna Roselli: So that's really good.
- 37:41Dayna Roselli: I think um that will help for everyone who wants to get one.
- 37:45Dayna Roselli: And again, if you have any questions, feel free to send us direct messages on Twitter or you know, a public message, and we can answer as much as we know or can tell you.
- 37:55Sean McAllister: But listen, we're no Fauci.
- 37:57Dayna Roselli: Nope, we are not Fauci.
- 37:58Sean McAllister: We have zero scientific data to back up anything that we say.
- 38:04Sean McAllister: We only talk from personal experience.
- 38:06Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 38:06Dayna Roselli: Now don't go running around telling everyone you should eat nachos.
- 38:09Dayna Roselli: Just say, you know, it worked for Dana and Sean.
- 38:12Sean McAllister: Because listen, we don't want to be liable if a chip gets lodged in someone's throat or or for extra pounds that go on.
- 38:20Sean McAllister: No.
- 38:21Sean McAllister: The disclaimer, we are not responsible for our advice.
- 38:27Dayna Roselli: Oh man.
- 38:28Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 38:28Dayna Roselli: Disclaimer, that's always good.
- 38:30Dayna Roselli: Uh, we've been busy bees lately working on a lot of projects, so we know things are turning around here in Las Vegas.
- 38:35Dayna Roselli: We're hoping all our people that live outside of the USA that are looking forward to coming back to Las Vegas, because I hear that a lot of you are will be able to do that sometime within the year.
- 38:48Dayna Roselli: Things are looking up.
- 38:49Dayna Roselli: We are at spring break mode here in Las Vegas, and I know a lot of different states around the country are in spring break, so people are taking, you know, driving trips and visiting family and doing getaways, and I know Sean's gonna do that.
- 39:03Dayna Roselli: And we decided next week we probably won't do a podcast unless there's some big news that breaks, we'll update.
- 39:10Dayna Roselli: But other than that, keep an eye on our social media because that's where we'll be doing all our updates, and then we'll be back right the following week.
- 39:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, so programming note if you're sitting around waiting for uh episode 63 to drop next week, not gonna happen.
- 39:26Sean McAllister: You'll have to wait one more week.
- 39:27Sean McAllister: We're just gonna skip a week and then we'll be right back at it.
- 39:30Dayna Roselli: Get geared up for what's gonna be a very positive spring here in Las Vegas.
- 39:35Sean McAllister: So that we can be at our best for you.
- 39:39Dayna Roselli: There you go.
- 39:39Dayna Roselli: And now that we're vaccinated, we can run around town.
- 39:41Dayna Roselli: Oh, man.
- 39:42Dayna Roselli: Feel confident with our mask off.
- 39:45Sean McAllister: Ripping the band-aid off.
- 39:46Sean McAllister: Literally.
- 39:47Dayna Roselli: And in our show notes, we do have a link if you'd like to support the show.
- 39:50Dayna Roselli: You know, we do this on our free time, and time is, you know, limited these days.
- 39:56Dayna Roselli: But if you would like us to do more, we'd love to do that.
- 40:00Dayna Roselli: So we do have a support link.
- 40:02Dayna Roselli: It's a PayPal link if you're interested in showing some love.
- 40:05Sean McAllister: Any support is greatly appreciated.
- 40:08Sean McAllister: And we will be back here on Vegas Revealed for you in two weeks.
- 40:13Sean McAllister: Talk to you then.
