- 0:03Speaker 1: All right, Man Boulet Camp podcasts all the way in
- 0:06Speaker 1: the Bay Area.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Keep out here to fuck.
- 0:09Speaker 1: With my got Burner Man Special Edition special edition at
- 0:13Speaker 1: your first of all, it's new compound you have. It
- 0:16Speaker 1: is a man I wish well listen, We're gonna do
- 0:19Speaker 1: a tour on the YouTube channels. People will be able
- 0:21Speaker 1: to see it. But man, this shit is crazy, dog like.
- 0:23Speaker 1: This is is some real like as you would like
- 0:26Speaker 1: to say, some real mafia shit.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It's life ghost shit, dog like shit.
- 0:30Speaker 3: We built everything you've seen today from the house on
- 0:33Speaker 3: the couch in the front room, pacing in the house,
- 0:35Speaker 3: and so you know, landlords could be a pain in
- 0:38Speaker 3: the ass.
- 0:39Speaker 2: So I wanted to wait to build something like this
- 0:41Speaker 2: until I was a.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Landlord, until I could buy the building and kind of
- 0:44Speaker 3: decide what I want to do. I want to do it,
- 0:46Speaker 3: you know, and just not have to answer anyone. I've
- 0:48Speaker 3: seen a lot of big businesses, even in this area,
- 0:52Speaker 3: being pushed out by their landlord.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and that shit. I would never do that. Ever.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I was gonna say, like you've always had like like
- 1:01Speaker 1: you know, you're always diversified, to say the very least, right,
- 1:05Speaker 1: But in terms of like the content space.
- 1:07Speaker 2: You've always you know, I think back.
- 1:09Speaker 1: To the days where you were like going viral on
- 1:11Speaker 1: World Star, you know what I'm saying, like for wild
- 1:14Speaker 1: Things all the way to now Wh're like, you know,
- 1:18Speaker 1: you had a show like Burners Round Table that was dope.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I don't know if you're bringing that back or not.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Are you planning bringing them? Yeah?
- 1:24Speaker 3: You know, like podcasts for me is like a little tough,
- 1:27Speaker 3: Like it's just like it's kind of like you have
- 1:30Speaker 3: to be really consistent, and you've been super consistent, so
- 1:33Speaker 3: I give you props on that. But for me, it's
- 1:35Speaker 3: like I think the cookings were the hearts at not
- 1:39Speaker 3: for sure, Like and I really like a lot of
- 1:41Speaker 3: people like, you know, he's just doing a cooking show,
- 1:43Speaker 3: and I see a lot of people doing cooking shows
- 1:44Speaker 3: and doing cooking content.
- 1:45Speaker 2: But I grew up in a kitchen. My father had
- 1:47Speaker 2: a restaurant growing up. You know that that's a beast
- 1:49Speaker 2: of a cook. He's a good cook. And then but
- 1:52Speaker 2: I feel like, besides the cooking show, I think that.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Like we want to build like the Urban Food Network,
- 1:57Speaker 3: and that's what I'm trying to do over here. That's
- 1:58Speaker 3: why I see this building completely empty. The warehouse you
- 2:03Speaker 3: saw is completely empty. I'm trying to get some capital,
- 2:05Speaker 3: some serious partners and understand the vision to kind of
- 2:08Speaker 3: create like what we'd like to watch on the Food Network.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I mean, the Food Network is dope. We all get
- 2:14Speaker 3: stuck watching it for hours, but it's repetitive. It's the
- 2:16Speaker 3: same chefs, its sky Fieri shout out to him, and
- 2:19Speaker 3: it's for a certain crowd.
- 2:21Speaker 2: It's a certain crowd.
- 2:21Speaker 3: But like there's a whole world out there, like viral Instagram,
- 2:25Speaker 3: chefs killing it.
- 2:26Speaker 2: There's a whole world of like you know, just.
- 2:28Speaker 3: The black and brown community doing their thing, and just
- 2:30Speaker 3: in the food world, it's being ignored by the mainstream television.
- 2:34Speaker 3: So our goal is to build a network. And so
- 2:36Speaker 3: I said, just like podcasting is cool, but I'm in
- 2:39Speaker 3: the Bay one. Not many people roll through here, and too,
- 2:42Speaker 3: I don't really know if I want to share this
- 2:43Speaker 3: place with that many people. Kind of want to keep it, yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 3: do you have too many people coming in and out?
- 2:47Speaker 3: Like you said, like this is a special place. It's
- 2:50Speaker 3: pure right now, right, you know, I got to keep
- 2:52Speaker 3: a little yah, know what I mean. I'm like here,
- 2:54Speaker 3: but that's good with me, Like I don't want to
- 2:55Speaker 3: have food security out and not be able to sleep.
- 2:58Speaker 3: But I like it the way it is now, and
- 3:00Speaker 3: I think food content is pretty pure.
- 3:02Speaker 2: You guys gonna say with the food shit.
- 3:03Speaker 1: So the goal initial, like really is like to eventually
- 3:06Speaker 1: try to have a channel that's on TV.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, either like a channel on TV or
- 3:14Speaker 3: like building my own network that consists of like a
- 3:19Speaker 3: food segment of things, like a like a true crime
- 3:22Speaker 3: series kind of you know style content, short films that
- 3:26Speaker 3: we debut.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I really want to build.
- 3:28Speaker 3: My own network really, yeah, And I got some good
- 3:30Speaker 3: things going on.
- 3:32Speaker 2: We spoke about I don't know the last.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Time I haven't scripted series, and it works a really
- 3:36Speaker 3: big network and it's a big budget, and I think
- 3:40Speaker 3: it's going to do really well.
- 3:41Speaker 2: And I feel like.
- 3:42Speaker 3: While I'm in those doors, you know me, I'm a wiggle.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I'm gonna get to know people. I'm gonna be able
- 3:47Speaker 3: to shake hands, rub shoulders with the right people. And
- 3:49Speaker 3: I feel like if I have a portfolio content that
- 3:52Speaker 3: ranges from like the food space to true crime documentaries,
- 3:57Speaker 3: documentary yeah too, you know, the short film that could
- 4:00Speaker 3: be proof of concepts for real films and maybe there's
- 4:03Speaker 3: like a network partnership, or maybe there's a partnership with
- 4:06Speaker 3: like a bigger network or something like that. So I
- 4:09Speaker 3: just kind of seen what fifty did, and I respect
- 4:11Speaker 3: the fuck out what he did, but I don't want
- 4:13Speaker 3: to have to rely on like networks the whole time.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I would rather kind of build my own portfolio in
- 4:17Speaker 3: the background and do a partnership with the network of
- 4:21Speaker 3: content that I own and produce myself.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I was gonna say, I think we had talked about.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You maybe doing a movie or something that kind of
- 4:28Speaker 1: covered the bitpin aspect of the Bay Yeah.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Actually, my partners in that the script is done. It
- 4:33Speaker 3: called it's called a Splash City.
- 4:35Speaker 2: They're coming here. They'll probably be here in like thirty mans.
- 4:38Speaker 3: So as soon as we're done with our interview and tour,
- 4:39Speaker 3: then I'm gonna sit down with them or view this script.
- 4:42Speaker 3: But that script's ready. There's another script ready as well,
- 4:46Speaker 3: so it just you know, take them on time to
- 4:49Speaker 3: fuck what it do.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like, you know, that is like one
- 4:51Speaker 1: of the things that like is so Bay Area specific
- 4:54Speaker 1: that when I talk to people like they don't know
- 4:56Speaker 1: even they've never even heard the word BIP and the
- 4:59Speaker 1: fact is that it's how.
- 5:00Speaker 2: They get here and they get their ship hitting.
- 5:02Speaker 3: I feel like it's gonna be like the New School
- 5:04Speaker 3: in New Jersey drive almost and it's gonna be dope
- 5:07Speaker 3: because no one's a really covering the Barry. And that's
- 5:10Speaker 3: kind of my goal. I feel like, all right, I
- 5:12Speaker 3: made it to a certain status. I feel like I
- 5:14Speaker 3: put on hard with the music as much as I could,
- 5:16Speaker 3: and I'm gonna still fuck with it. But I feel
- 5:18Speaker 3: like my ultimate goal is to kind of put the
- 5:21Speaker 3: Bay in my back in the sense of telling some
- 5:22Speaker 3: of these stories, tapping into some of this untold content,
- 5:27Speaker 3: like no one's ever attacked to the Bay, Like all
- 5:29Speaker 3: the crime films and movies are based on New York, LA, Chicago, Boston,
- 5:35Speaker 3: you know, like where's the barrier stories at?
- 5:38Speaker 2: Right? And so I.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Feel like I'm trying to get into a position financially
- 5:43Speaker 3: hands you know, just Respectilise where people will trust me
- 5:46Speaker 3: with those stories.
- 5:46Speaker 1: That'd be hard, dude, I haven't we haven't talked on
- 5:50Speaker 1: camera since you made the Forbes magazine. So I just
- 5:52Speaker 1: want to say congrats, thank you. That shit is pretty
- 5:54Speaker 1: gnarly to like be like, yeah, my boys, like my
- 5:57Speaker 1: friend is on.
- 5:58Speaker 2: The cover of Forbes.
- 6:00Speaker 3: The cool thing about that, it's like there's people that
- 6:01Speaker 3: are way richer than me, and there's people that built
- 6:04Speaker 3: way bigger businesses. But to touch that cover is like
- 6:08Speaker 3: every businessman, entrepreneur's dream.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:11Speaker 3: So I have guys that worth like hundreds of millions
- 6:13Speaker 3: of dollars. They gave me like, oh, you did it,
- 6:15Speaker 3: And I'm like, bro, you did it, mother, you did it.
- 6:17Speaker 2: For real, you got it, got it right now? Liquid.
- 6:19Speaker 3: But I just think it's a it's a really cool
- 6:22Speaker 3: thing to come out of cancer and then touch that
- 6:24Speaker 3: cover and then get the Age Award and get a
- 6:27Speaker 3: couple other things that we got, Like it's just really
- 6:29Speaker 3: cool and it's just good morale for like the kind of.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Industry I'm in.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I was gonna say, how does that change your life
- 6:36Speaker 1: being on that cover, because I'm sure it makes people
- 6:38Speaker 1: look at you in a lot different Two ways.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah, No, I mean one, people put more respect on
- 6:43Speaker 3: the business conversations.
- 6:44Speaker 2: But two, everyone thinks.
- 6:46Speaker 3: You just got it, got it, got it, Like they
- 6:48Speaker 3: just seen that word like four hundred million dollars.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Motherfucker.
- 6:52Speaker 3: You could tell me, let me get a half a meal,
- 6:55Speaker 3: let me get let me bo man like, manvest is
- 6:59Speaker 3: two mil behind my company. I know you guys's like
- 7:01Speaker 3: bro like yo, like this this this evaluation that they're
- 7:06Speaker 3: putting on me as a person, you know kind of
- 7:09Speaker 3: like relies on the businesses performing, executing and like you know,
- 7:13Speaker 3: exiting one day, right, that's what the value of my businesses.
- 7:17Speaker 3: And so it was kind of put a lot of
- 7:18Speaker 3: things in perspective. You see even the rich rapper list
- 7:21Speaker 3: that shit was trippy to that's just crazy because that
- 7:24Speaker 3: fourth or fifth I was in before crazy. And then
- 7:28Speaker 3: you put yourself next to rappers like yeah, Doctor dre
- 7:32Speaker 3: jay Z, Kanye Diddy and like people like well, man
- 7:37Speaker 3: Bird's not really rapper. I'm like, wait a minute, hold up,
- 7:40Speaker 3: I do got forty nine albums out. I've been rapping
- 7:42Speaker 3: since two thousand and six. People are saying, well, he
- 7:45Speaker 3: got other businesses, wall so that.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Everybody else, everybody else got, you know, at the times
- 7:50Speaker 1: to rock and you know roten Nation and I mean yeah,
- 7:54Speaker 1: all kind of different.
- 7:55Speaker 2: A whatever you call it, same thing.
- 7:58Speaker 3: It's the same exact thing, except differences in Mexican and
- 8:01Speaker 3: a fucking low key underdog and so it's it's cool
- 8:04Speaker 3: as fun to see that they recognized me on that list,
- 8:07Speaker 3: because that list. I always dreamed about about being on
- 8:10Speaker 3: a list like that, and I always said that that
- 8:13Speaker 3: people are overlooking what I built. And I just remember
- 8:15Speaker 3: one day kind of throwing a fit on Twitter, like, man,
- 8:17Speaker 3: I wish they would look at my ship. And so
- 8:20Speaker 3: when I actually was like, well, i'd beat down to audio.
- 8:22Speaker 3: And that's a really deep audit. They have to look
- 8:24Speaker 3: at everything that you have, your assets, your businesses. It's
- 8:27Speaker 3: like a real They can't just put that ship out
- 8:29Speaker 3: to make the.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Cash, isn't They call it not just just hip hop's health,
- 8:34Speaker 1: you know, wealthiest whatever, maybe.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Top five wealthiest, you know. So they did that and
- 8:41Speaker 3: yeah that ship hit.
- 8:42Speaker 1: So they like really like they turn over all the
- 8:45Speaker 1: pages and look into your ship for real, for real.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Yeah, they do, like a real AUDITIVI for sure. Oh wow,
- 8:50Speaker 2: it ain't no for gazy ass number going out here.
- 8:53Speaker 3: No, no, hell no, No, that's that's a real number.
- 8:56Speaker 3: It's a real situation. It's a real it's just all
- 8:59Speaker 3: around like they're not gonna they're not gonna play you
- 9:02Speaker 3: on that like they're not gonna play themselves. It's real
- 9:04Speaker 3: publications with real credible writers and just you know, they're
- 9:08Speaker 3: they're not playing they're not playing no games with that list.
- 9:10Speaker 3: That list is very strategic, it's very they do a
- 9:13Speaker 3: good job of due diligence.
- 9:15Speaker 2: You know.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I had to have them talk to like business managers
- 9:18Speaker 3: and the people that do my taxes, and yeah, that's
- 9:21Speaker 3: just real.
- 9:22Speaker 2: They're like talking to CPA and all that.
- 9:24Speaker 3: CPAs are looking at like properties, they're looking at the
- 9:27Speaker 3: actual like are you say your business sport this Like,
- 9:29Speaker 3: let's let'sten to the actual audit of your businesses to
- 9:32Speaker 3: you know, let's get it proper.
- 9:33Speaker 2: What what did you.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Raise at last time you raise? You know, like it's
- 9:37Speaker 3: it's real as fun.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's crazy because you've obviously, you know, we've kind of
- 9:43Speaker 1: seen cookies go from like you know, I remember the
- 9:46Speaker 1: first time I smoked cookies was with two chains and
- 9:49Speaker 1: probably two.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Thousands ten shout out to ty.
- 9:53Speaker 1: That was around the time Yoko was getting played on
- 9:56Speaker 1: the radio out there when I was on the That
- 9:58Speaker 1: was that was around that time. And I remember you
- 10:00Speaker 1: be coming out the Vegas kicking with Franny and shit,
- 10:03Speaker 1: and I kind of had.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Like really got hit to you.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But it's just wild to see like the like, was
- 10:10Speaker 1: there ever a point in time, let's say in twenty
- 10:13Speaker 1: ten eleven, where you ever could imagine that you'd.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Be turning down some of the exits.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I'm sure you've already been offered and you'd be on
- 10:21Speaker 1: the cover of a publication like Forbes.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Did you ever see it? Nah?
- 10:24Speaker 3: But I always knew too, Like at the end of
- 10:26Speaker 3: the day, it's all about how much work you put
- 10:27Speaker 3: into your craft, right, like if you stayed dedicated to
- 10:30Speaker 3: your craft. Man, Like even last night, Dude, I got
- 10:33Speaker 3: home last night and I just passed the fuck out
- 10:36Speaker 3: hard nine pm, out like dead body.
- 10:40Speaker 2: My girls will goodness, Morney, do you remember how you fell? Steve?
- 10:42Speaker 2: I'm like, nah, Like, man, you were fucking out.
- 10:45Speaker 3: And just because I just work all day long, so
- 10:49Speaker 3: I never a pictured be in this position because I
- 10:51Speaker 3: was always an underdog. I felt like I always had
- 10:53Speaker 3: to prove myself to somebody. I always had to work
- 10:55Speaker 3: harder than others. But I also knew that like one
- 10:57Speaker 3: of my first true believers and what I do, like
- 11:00Speaker 3: one of my first actual investors and partners, and you know,
- 11:04Speaker 3: he told me, he's like, bro, Like I don't really
- 11:07Speaker 3: quite know where you're trying to go with the rap.
- 11:08Speaker 2: But I do know one thing.
- 11:09Speaker 3: He's like, Bro, you don't stop, and people that don't
- 11:11Speaker 3: stop and no queer are the ones that hit. So
- 11:13Speaker 3: I'm gonna stick with you. You should just stick with the pack.
- 11:16Speaker 3: You're good at selling pack. I want bags from you,
- 11:18Speaker 3: and I think that you'd be better. I've just focused
- 11:21Speaker 3: on selling bud But like, man, you just won't stop
- 11:23Speaker 3: with this rap shit, and so I have to stay
- 11:25Speaker 3: behind you. I'm gonna keep pushing you because that's what
- 11:28Speaker 3: motherfuckers like you aren't gonna lose.
- 11:30Speaker 2: And that's stuck with me. I'm like, you're right.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Even the current state of cannabis right now, like the
- 11:34Speaker 3: wee game is fucked up, a lot of people falling out,
- 11:37Speaker 3: a lot of people suing each other, a lot of
- 11:39Speaker 3: people hating each other, a lot of businesses going under,
- 11:42Speaker 3: a lot of grows failing, a lot of stores failing.
- 11:46Speaker 3: You know, but we're still relevant as hell. We're still
- 11:48Speaker 3: going because we still put that passion into it, Like
- 11:51Speaker 3: we still care about this shit.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Do you think it's awesome?
- 11:53Speaker 1: Because you guys have a dope business model I think too,
- 11:56Speaker 1: which is not necessarily dependent on any because I'm sure
- 12:00Speaker 1: where if people don't understand, like you guys will part
- 12:02Speaker 1: Like you guys have partners all over the country. Right,
- 12:04Speaker 1: It's not like if you see a cookie store in Detroit,
- 12:07Speaker 1: it's the same as.
- 12:08Speaker 2: The cookie store in Oklahoma.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Well, and I'm sure some places it is the same partnership, right,
- 12:13Speaker 1: But for you guys, like you guys have kind of
- 12:15Speaker 1: like put put together such an incredible business model on
- 12:18Speaker 1: the storefront side, at least where you know it's a
- 12:22Speaker 1: quality control situation where you obviously have to vet whoever
- 12:25Speaker 1: you partner with. But at the same time, it kind
- 12:28Speaker 1: of puts you guys in a position where you know
- 12:31Speaker 1: people are buying into the name and the brand because
- 12:34Speaker 1: the brand is so prestigious.
- 12:35Speaker 3: It's like it's an asset light business model. We're not
- 12:38Speaker 3: raising hundreds and millions of dollars, which allows me to
- 12:41Speaker 3: stay in control. A lot of other people that raise
- 12:43Speaker 3: hundreds and millions of dollars in the skin, yeah, they
- 12:46Speaker 3: lose all their equity. I've maintained a lot of equity
- 12:48Speaker 3: bro a lot. And but what it does is like
- 12:51Speaker 3: it does three things.
- 12:52Speaker 2: We're able to.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Say asset light, we're able to expand faster anyone else.
- 12:56Speaker 3: We're also able to cherry pick the best operators and
- 13:00Speaker 3: in each market as they open up. So you know,
- 13:03Speaker 3: albert Querque, New Mexico, we opened up eleven three right
- 13:06Speaker 3: November three. That's probably one of our best menus in
- 13:09Speaker 3: the whole country that we looks almost better than some
- 13:13Speaker 3: of the weed in California. The menu is extensive, thirty
- 13:16Speaker 3: genetics on the menu, store fully built out like we
- 13:19Speaker 3: got cherry picked those partners that were dedicated us Nirvana
- 13:22Speaker 3: and Arizona.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it took you a very long time
- 13:24Speaker 1: to get the Arizona and that was a passionate.
- 13:27Speaker 3: You know, we fucked up the first time we did
- 13:30Speaker 3: a deal with the only players in the game, and
- 13:31Speaker 3: they pretty much just shelved they fucked the weaed up,
- 13:34Speaker 3: but they also shelved our growth. But now we found
- 13:37Speaker 3: some independent guys that you know, the team in Nirvana
- 13:40Speaker 3: that understand what this brand means. They put the quality
- 13:43Speaker 3: and we turned down enough badges until it was time
- 13:45Speaker 3: to go, like, bro, it's not hiding, it's not boom.
- 13:48Speaker 3: You got it and they doubt it, and they doubted
- 13:51Speaker 3: it even more from the opening, and so it allows
- 13:54Speaker 3: us to partner with the right people all around the country.
- 13:57Speaker 3: And a lot of people say it's like a franchise.
- 13:59Speaker 3: It's not like a franchise because anyone can open up McDonald's. Yeah,
- 14:03Speaker 3: you guys are being selective on who you're gonna let
- 14:05Speaker 3: We're being selective on who we're gonna fuck with. We're
- 14:08Speaker 3: being selected on which markets are mature enough to open up.
- 14:11Speaker 3: And we're also just really understanding that, like, there's nothing
- 14:14Speaker 3: easy about managing hundreds of partners, right, It'd be easier
- 14:19Speaker 3: to raise the money and to build out your shit
- 14:21Speaker 3: yourself in theory, because then you're the one.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Controlling all that.
- 14:24Speaker 3: There's a lot of egos, there's a lot of there's
- 14:27Speaker 3: a lot of politics, there's a lot of personal you know,
- 14:31Speaker 3: interaction you have to do when you have that many partners.
- 14:33Speaker 2: But I like that shit.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yeah, And it also kind of removes the like bureaucracy
- 14:38Speaker 1: that you would have to deal with in each city
- 14:40Speaker 1: and market because at the end of the day, like
- 14:42Speaker 1: you said in the week Game, unfortunately it's full of
- 14:45Speaker 1: like a lot of cool people, but it's also full
- 14:48Speaker 1: of like on the corporate side, bro.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Like this trash bro.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Like I missed the medical days so much. You know,
- 14:54Speaker 3: when it was medical, it was a big risk till
- 14:56Speaker 3: when people were having to put their neck on the
- 14:58Speaker 3: line and it just was a lot more pure. As
- 15:00Speaker 3: soon as it went legal, A bunch of people that
- 15:03Speaker 3: had no business being in this business got in this business,
- 15:06Speaker 3: and they started getting in you know, partnerships with legacy
- 15:09Speaker 3: guys and kind of changing the way that they think.
- 15:11Speaker 3: And what's really the real goal. I mean, if you
- 15:14Speaker 3: look at the two things I'm truly passionate about food
- 15:17Speaker 3: and weed, it's there's two things that really bring people together.
- 15:22Speaker 3: No matter where you're from, no matter where you're at
- 15:23Speaker 3: in the world, you can connect over food or we right,
- 15:26Speaker 3: so like, I'm in it for a bigger purpose.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I know the brand has value.
- 15:30Speaker 3: I know there's going to be some money associated with this,
- 15:32Speaker 3: with this position later on life. But for right now,
- 15:35Speaker 3: it's a struggle to maintain, to stay relevant, to deal
- 15:38Speaker 3: with all these different partners, make sure everyone's happy, everyone
- 15:41Speaker 3: feels like they're getting the attention in need. But I
- 15:45Speaker 3: wouldn't change our business model or the situation we have
- 15:47Speaker 3: over anything. It's cool to connect with people all over
- 15:50Speaker 3: the world. And you said it not just in the country.
- 15:52Speaker 2: But all over the world.
- 15:53Speaker 3: From Thailand, we got Thailand. We're about to open up London,
- 15:58Speaker 3: you know, medical side of London. We're in Spain, We're
- 16:02Speaker 3: in Amsterdam, We're in Israel. We're selling weed in Germany
- 16:05Speaker 3: right now. Like it's cool to connect with people all
- 16:08Speaker 3: over the world over something you created.
- 16:11Speaker 2: From you know, the ground up in your house. It's
- 16:13Speaker 2: cool es, it's wild. Man.
- 16:15Speaker 1: You obviously went through like some public disputes with some
- 16:17Speaker 1: old partners that were coming out trying to sue you.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Did you end up getting any of that?
- 16:23Speaker 2: Resolve? Was the latest with that? Nah?
- 16:25Speaker 3: Those things take years, and those things are like mentally
- 16:28Speaker 3: training and financially training. But like you know, I said it,
- 16:32Speaker 3: and I can only talk very little on it, but
- 16:34Speaker 3: like I know one hundred percent that we're in the
- 16:36Speaker 3: right and that when everything comes to life, people will
- 16:38Speaker 3: be like, damn, that boy went through all that for
- 16:40Speaker 3: what right? And so I feel very confident where we are.
- 16:44Speaker 3: No one's gonna come take cookies for me. I am
- 16:47Speaker 3: cookies right. No one's going to remove any of the
- 16:49Speaker 3: partners that helped me build this along the way, And
- 16:52Speaker 3: I think that's part of the unfortunate thing about building
- 16:54Speaker 3: something big is when you build something big, people will
- 16:57Speaker 3: try to come take that shit. But growing up, I
- 17:00Speaker 3: didn't give up my lunch at school. I'm not going
- 17:02Speaker 3: to start doing it now. And I'm also not going
- 17:05Speaker 3: to jeopardize what we all build together as a community
- 17:07Speaker 3: because a lot of people feel attached to Cookies and
- 17:11Speaker 3: I mean.
- 17:11Speaker 2: A lot of people got tattoos.
- 17:12Speaker 1: There's a man in Tucson right now with your portrait
- 17:15Speaker 1: and the Cookies logo.
- 17:16Speaker 2: On his belly. Yeah, that's real, right, that's a real
- 17:19Speaker 2: human being. I sold my own eyes.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Yeah, And so the easy way out would be just
- 17:22Speaker 3: to bow down and take something from them and just
- 17:25Speaker 3: step But like, no, dude, people are fully invested in
- 17:27Speaker 3: this vision and this brand and what we built together.
- 17:30Speaker 3: It's not just my shit, it's our shit. All these
- 17:33Speaker 3: operators around the world, they believed in what we built together. Right,
- 17:37Speaker 3: So I'm fighting for it, bro, and I feel like
- 17:40Speaker 3: we're gonna win at the end of the day. I
- 17:41Speaker 3: feel like we're going to come out on top. It's
- 17:43Speaker 3: just going to take a lot of mental strength, It's
- 17:44Speaker 3: going to take a lot of capital, right right. That's
- 17:48Speaker 3: why I stay grinding and it's gonna just take dedication
- 17:51Speaker 3: and loyalty.
- 17:52Speaker 2: From me and my partners. That's it. Man.
- 17:54Speaker 1: How do you deal with coming out of getting through
- 17:57Speaker 1: cancer and then having to deal with just a whole
- 18:00Speaker 1: another hurdle. Obviously you got, you know, stuff in your
- 18:02Speaker 1: personal life going on as well. You know, you're you
- 18:05Speaker 1: it just you know, you got to have some mental
- 18:07Speaker 1: fortitude to really get on the other side of a
- 18:10Speaker 1: battle with cancer.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Well, the fucked up thing is that that lawsuit started
- 18:14Speaker 3: as soon as I got sick, so that so they
- 18:17Speaker 3: were both happening at the same time. Yeah, I was like, well,
- 18:20Speaker 3: when I found out I was sick, the kind of
- 18:21Speaker 3: conversations kind of happened when I was knee deep in
- 18:23Speaker 3: chemo and I.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Was really, really, really sick. It's ain't a sympathy card
- 18:27Speaker 2: at all.
- 18:27Speaker 3: It's just like, you know, people could relate to what
- 18:29Speaker 3: it feels like being sick and thinking you're going to
- 18:32Speaker 3: die and also having the threats of your business being
- 18:35Speaker 3: taken right like it was on purpose, hey man, wild
- 18:38Speaker 3: timing on their end, right, right. Maybe they didn't plant
- 18:42Speaker 3: it that way, but that's the way it worked out.
- 18:43Speaker 3: And so it was kind of tough but like it
- 18:45Speaker 3: really put everything in perspective for me. I'm like, well,
- 18:47Speaker 3: first of all, I really got to stick around, right, like,
- 18:50Speaker 3: I'm really not gonna have to.
- 18:51Speaker 2: I can't go nowhere now.
- 18:53Speaker 3: And it's really really made me realize like the good,
- 18:56Speaker 3: precious moments, like you know, with pure things outside of business.
- 19:00Speaker 3: And so, you know, for me, that's why the cubs
- 19:03Speaker 3: that Forbes cover felt good coming out of that ship.
- 19:06Speaker 3: It was like a band. I'm being recognized. I'm getting
- 19:08Speaker 3: my flowers while I'm here. That's why the Adage Award,
- 19:11Speaker 3: the Klio Ward, these are all big, you know, big
- 19:15Speaker 3: fucking globally recognized platforms that recognize what we're doing. And
- 19:18Speaker 3: so it just was the motivation I needed to keep fighting.
- 19:21Speaker 3: But cancer was really really hard on me. I have
- 19:24Speaker 3: major PTSD from that shit, and I'm noticing more and
- 19:27Speaker 3: more people getting colon cancer at a young ass age
- 19:30Speaker 3: and it's just scary, bro. It's just like really really
- 19:34Speaker 3: and like a lot of men don't go and get
- 19:35Speaker 3: checked for that shit, no, because the symptoms are so
- 19:39Speaker 3: I didn't have zero symptoms. I had early sagetree colon cancer.
- 19:42Speaker 3: That means another six months of letting that ride. It
- 19:45Speaker 3: would have took my ass out, So I probably would
- 19:48Speaker 3: have had a year or so. If I would have
- 19:50Speaker 3: waited six months or more to even get checked, I
- 19:52Speaker 3: probably would have had a year or two years at most.
- 19:55Speaker 2: The hardest thing for me.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Watch was like the brother, you know, a shout out
- 19:58Speaker 3: to his whole family, his kids and his wife. He
- 20:02Speaker 3: but you know, seeing the inky boys go through that
- 20:04Speaker 3: we found out at the same time, you know what
- 20:07Speaker 3: I mean. And I'm just like, damn, bro, like that
- 20:10Speaker 3: shit hurt and it hit hard because I'm like, damn,
- 20:12Speaker 3: everyone's gonna have a chance to make it through this.
- 20:15Speaker 3: And so I just take a lot more calmer approach
- 20:18Speaker 3: on life and like stress and I just I feel
- 20:21Speaker 3: blessed to even be here, bro. And that's why I
- 20:23Speaker 3: try to tell people when people get stressed out about
- 20:25Speaker 3: money and things that's going on. But today's world, I'm like, bro,
- 20:28Speaker 3: like it's just stuff with You're alive, man, Like you
- 20:30Speaker 3: can't you can't even downplay how big that is right now?
- 20:35Speaker 2: For sure?
- 20:35Speaker 1: Brother, that is I think that some people forget that
- 20:38Speaker 1: what was the like what made you get tested for it?
- 20:42Speaker 2: Was it just like a.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Normal run of the male doctor's visit, nah, because I
- 20:47Speaker 1: was with the doctor already that wouldn't even have ever
- 20:50Speaker 1: looked for that.
- 20:50Speaker 3: It was like some weird, like universal gut feeling I
- 20:55Speaker 3: just had. I just woke up one day, was looking
- 20:57Speaker 3: at my window. I'm like, damn, I actually got a
- 20:59Speaker 3: good life here. Things are going good. I'm successful. I
- 21:03Speaker 3: feel like Cookies is going to be something incredible that's
- 21:06Speaker 3: going to live forever. Like what am I actually missing
- 21:07Speaker 3: in life? That where am I missing at?
- 21:09Speaker 2: I'm like.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Maybe health, Like I'm you know, I'm losing a little weight,
- 21:13Speaker 3: I'm not as big as I used to be. But
- 21:15Speaker 3: maybe I should like get myself a private doctor to
- 21:17Speaker 3: really look into what I got going on, because you know,
- 21:21Speaker 3: I just want to make sure I'm good. It's crazy
- 21:23Speaker 3: because five years before this, I had a fear of
- 21:26Speaker 3: having Summit cancer like my mom. I went and got
- 21:28Speaker 3: a kolonosk be one hundred percent clean. Wow five years.
- 21:32Speaker 3: So in five years, in five years that cancer developed
- 21:35Speaker 3: and got to early stage three.
- 21:36Speaker 2: And so I picked a random mass.
- 21:39Speaker 3: I picked a random ass day to call my partner
- 21:42Speaker 3: or Parker and asked them, do we know any concier doctors,
- 21:45Speaker 3: any private doctors that could actually care about me as
- 21:47Speaker 3: a human and really looking at me. And we found
- 21:50Speaker 3: a doctor that was not only you know, willing to
- 21:53Speaker 3: take me on, but he's also an investor into our business,
- 21:56Speaker 3: and he's the only doctor in the country that did
- 22:00Speaker 3: does this test, the gallery test. So when I went
- 22:04Speaker 3: to go see me, it's like, yo, we can run
- 22:05Speaker 3: you know, all your blood work and make sure it
- 22:07Speaker 3: could But like this new test came out two months ago,
- 22:10Speaker 3: I want to run on you and test for cancer
- 22:12Speaker 3: for fifty types of cancer student blood. I'm like, let's
- 22:14Speaker 3: run it. That's how you find this shit. And an
- 22:18Speaker 3: article came out like maybe like three weeks ago. I'm
- 22:20Speaker 3: kind of like one of the first people that publicly
- 22:22Speaker 3: took that test, found that I had cancer, addressed it,
- 22:26Speaker 3: and made it through the situation. So there's a big
- 22:29Speaker 3: debate about this test right now, and not a lot
- 22:31Speaker 3: of doctors want to take it on because false positives.
- 22:35Speaker 3: That's the craziest shit I've ever heard in my life.
- 22:38Speaker 3: I saw a work for me, saved me. That's why
- 22:41Speaker 3: I'm here right now. And I appreciate about this. Every
- 22:44Speaker 3: time I get a chance that that test should be available.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I mean, it feels like an easy test to take too,
- 22:49Speaker 1: Like in terms of like do you think, like, yeah,
- 22:51Speaker 1: it's a blood test, blood test, and I would rather
- 22:54Speaker 1: get a false positive and think I'm going to have
- 22:56Speaker 1: cancer for a week and a half until they go
- 22:57Speaker 1: look inside my body and then find out them.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Good, right then like not know anything at all.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Yeah, because you got doctors that are doctors are I mean, man,
- 23:07Speaker 1: you got good doctors. You got doctors are just getting
- 23:09Speaker 1: checked like teachers doctors and teachers kind of it's like
- 23:13Speaker 1: anything in business, doctors being a doctor's business.
- 23:16Speaker 3: And you know, some of the institutions like even though
- 23:19Speaker 3: they're good doctors, they just don't have the bandwidth. Like
- 23:21Speaker 3: if you're at Kaiser Permanente, you're seeing four thousand patients, right.
- 23:26Speaker 2: How could you actually truly keep up with one of
- 23:28Speaker 2: those patients?
- 23:29Speaker 3: Facts like, even if you're a really good person, even
- 23:32Speaker 3: if you don't have a hidden agender, you're not getting raid.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Yeah you can't. Your bandwidth is going to be done.
- 23:38Speaker 3: You're not gonna be able to keep track of average.
- 23:40Speaker 3: And so you know, for all my people out there
- 23:42Speaker 3: with money that got money that care about their health,
- 23:45Speaker 3: you know, the new flex is getting concer doctor Yeah,
- 23:50Speaker 3: all the rad cats out there living fast on the road,
- 23:52Speaker 3: not eating so well, Like, you know, fuck that Gucci belt,
- 23:57Speaker 3: fuck that fuck that new whip, you know, fuck that
- 24:00Speaker 3: new chain.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Motherfucker.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Get yourself a concier doctor and make sure you pay
- 24:03Speaker 3: attention to your health. That's the new flex. Really, that's
- 24:06Speaker 3: some real shit.
- 24:07Speaker 1: And so you've you've made so much money over the years,
- 24:09Speaker 1: what are some of the I always wonder when people
- 24:11Speaker 1: because I started to make like money, where I need
- 24:15Speaker 1: to figure.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Out every year how to not pay taxes.
- 24:20Speaker 1: What are some of the tips the tidbits you've picked
- 24:24Speaker 1: up in the last decade or so since you've been
- 24:27Speaker 1: dealing with you know, certain quantities of legal money.
- 24:30Speaker 2: You know.
- 24:30Speaker 3: The thing is, I know a lot of shit you
- 24:33Speaker 3: could do, but I'm just too stubborn to change my lifestyle.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Like you could live in Miami, you could live in Nevada,
- 24:38Speaker 2: you could live in places where state tax.
- 24:40Speaker 3: You could live in Puerto Rican pays zero tax. But like,
- 24:43Speaker 3: do I want to change the quality of my lifestyle
- 24:45Speaker 3: to save a little bit of bread after cancer?
- 24:47Speaker 2: Especially?
- 24:48Speaker 3: Hell no, Yeah, I'm just gonna pay. You know, it
- 24:51Speaker 3: is frustrating. You get a million dollar check, you got
- 24:53Speaker 3: to give over a fifty percent of that to the
- 24:55Speaker 3: government right up the top. Like if I got twenty
- 24:58Speaker 3: million dollars right now, I'm a to give over ten
- 25:00Speaker 3: million dollars to the.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Government right now for what right, But I'm not going
- 25:06Speaker 2: to use in those tricks now.
- 25:07Speaker 3: The one thing I just learned recently is that you're
- 25:09Speaker 3: allowed to gift up to X amount of money a year,
- 25:13Speaker 3: you know, without it without it being taxed, you know,
- 25:16Speaker 3: to someone you love. So I'm gonna start making sure
- 25:18Speaker 3: every year I put X amount of money as a
- 25:20Speaker 3: gift aside from my kid as tax free at least
- 25:23Speaker 3: you could have that.
- 25:25Speaker 2: So that's one thing I learned, you know.
- 25:27Speaker 3: But otherwise, like it's really all about like where you
- 25:31Speaker 3: live and where you reside and like things you could
- 25:33Speaker 3: write off. And the fucked up thing is because I'm
- 25:36Speaker 3: burned because I'm cookies. I get audited every year anyway,
- 25:39Speaker 3: so I'm sure they just find it.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Your has to be like super buttoned up. But you know,
- 25:44Speaker 1: if you get a tour bus, like your bus, that's
- 25:45Speaker 1: a big ass right off.
- 25:46Speaker 2: You know. Yeah, No, it is for the business. It is.
- 25:49Speaker 2: It's a good way to travel.
- 25:50Speaker 3: It's a good way to brand your shit too, So
- 25:52Speaker 3: you know, I would just say, like, look, man, just
- 25:55Speaker 3: pay attention to your ship. If you go out eat,
- 25:57Speaker 3: take pictures of your receipts. If you're paying cash. You
- 26:00Speaker 3: can write off a lot of things as it entertainer
- 26:02Speaker 3: your outfits.
- 26:03Speaker 2: You know, some of the things you gotta do.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, for sure, Yo, I gotta ask you.
- 26:11Speaker 2: You're a big alien guy.
- 26:12Speaker 1: And recently things have gotten like it feels like, for
- 26:15Speaker 1: whatever reason, the last like twelve to eighteen months, they
- 26:19Speaker 1: keep kind of just like sprinkling little like breadcrumbs, preparing
- 26:24Speaker 1: us for the inevitable.
- 26:26Speaker 2: In my opinion, you know, whether it's the.
- 26:31Speaker 1: That hearing with that dude who blew the you know,
- 26:34Speaker 1: the pretty much said that we're in possession of alien
- 26:39Speaker 1: aircraft or whatever the hell. And then there's the Mexican
- 26:43Speaker 1: to look. I don't know, I don't know how legit
- 26:46Speaker 1: that one was. I believe that shit.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I believe it too. I believe it.
- 26:51Speaker 1: I mean, look, if you go back, like maybe seven
- 26:52Speaker 1: or eight years ago, there was that guy who was
- 26:54Speaker 1: in the Canadian Parliament talking about it. But yeah, man,
- 26:58Speaker 1: like this shit is crazy, Like we used to all
- 27:00Speaker 1: the Mexican aliens, like what were your thoughts? Because they
- 27:02Speaker 1: really bowled them out like an official Mexican government.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Like, now that shit's official. Here's the problem with the world.
- 27:09Speaker 3: We've been lied to and fucked with us for so
- 27:11Speaker 3: long that every single time someone posted something, it's just
- 27:14Speaker 3: memes and and people.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Just social media jokes, and that's what they want.
- 27:20Speaker 3: They don't want us to think, like, you know, there's
- 27:22Speaker 3: a there's a bigger purpose out there. There's something that
- 27:24Speaker 3: we totally don't even know about. There's not there's something
- 27:27Speaker 3: that maybe higher people in our civilization actually communicate with
- 27:32Speaker 3: and get game from.
- 27:33Speaker 2: If you look how fast the world grew.
- 27:35Speaker 3: It went from fucking riding horses to whips and iPhones
- 27:38Speaker 3: and shit for in a small amount of time.
- 27:40Speaker 2: That's coming from somewhere.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Some geniuses just wake up, like I can fucking make
- 27:44Speaker 3: it till we can bomb them. Now we're getting gained
- 27:47Speaker 3: from somewhere, right, And so I believe that shit. I
- 27:50Speaker 3: also believe that they're never going to tell us what's real.
- 27:53Speaker 3: They're probably just trying to prepare us for some kind
- 27:55Speaker 3: of bullshit agenda. But there's a lot of truth in
- 27:58Speaker 3: some of that bullshit as well. So I if it's
- 28:01Speaker 3: me talking, I know there's a bigger purpose out here.
- 28:04Speaker 3: The gut feeling I got that day to go find
- 28:07Speaker 3: a conc here doctor Brom.
- 28:08Speaker 2: What the fuck?
- 28:09Speaker 3: Like that was bigger than just like me thinking that
- 28:12Speaker 3: I should get a private doctor. There's no reason why
- 28:14Speaker 3: on that day I even felt that in here, in
- 28:16Speaker 3: your gut, your second brain, right. I've been watching like
- 28:20Speaker 3: a lot of near death experience stuff because obviously I
- 28:23Speaker 3: had a near death experience in my opinion, I didn't
- 28:25Speaker 3: just die and wake up, but like I came close
- 28:27Speaker 3: to it.
- 28:28Speaker 2: So in watching all that stuff, I just.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Understand there's bigger purpose as as conscious as like the
- 28:34Speaker 3: universe goes.
- 28:35Speaker 2: And so I believe that little alien was real.
- 28:39Speaker 3: I believe that Mexico was the first one is actually
- 28:41Speaker 3: so something they've been holding. I feel like all these
- 28:44Speaker 3: civilizations are uncovering, like and and you know in the
- 28:48Speaker 3: Jungles and ship, all these different pyramids were seeking man
- 28:51Speaker 3: and no humans built that shit.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Bro fuck out of here, bro. Yeah, it's crazy.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Like it's crazy too that like some of them are
- 28:57Speaker 1: so they match up other pyramids that are so.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Far apart, well, they align with the stars perfectly.
- 29:03Speaker 3: They're all like in strategic guys, you know places in
- 29:07Speaker 3: the world that like will line up with like the
- 29:09Speaker 3: universe perfectly.
- 29:10Speaker 2: And I mean whatever. Also, I know.
- 29:13Speaker 3: That humans have dumbed down hard since back in the day.
- 29:15Speaker 3: It's like and that's what they want. Like, they put
- 29:19Speaker 3: so much bullshit in propaganda, and they've created the word
- 29:22Speaker 3: like conspiracy theories and all that stuff so that way
- 29:26Speaker 3: that things that are real, Like look at all the
- 29:28Speaker 3: people in my seeing UFOs back in the days, it
- 29:30Speaker 3: made them seem like fucking looney bins, dude.
- 29:32Speaker 2: For sure.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I mean I think they're like just like if you
- 29:34Speaker 1: were to go back twenty years and if some of
- 29:36Speaker 1: this news would have broke, how big of a deal
- 29:38Speaker 1: it would.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Be compared to now.
- 29:40Speaker 1: And now it's like no one cares because no one
- 29:42Speaker 1: gives a fucking whatever bullshit.
- 29:45Speaker 3: They're worried about like how to make the next dollar,
- 29:47Speaker 3: who's bitch cheese on who? Or fucking what Kim Kardashian
- 29:50Speaker 3: is doing. Yeah, they're worried about some shit that's like, Yo,
- 29:54Speaker 3: my man, they just showed an alien from.
- 29:56Speaker 2: A thousand aliens.
- 29:57Speaker 3: There's a thousand years ago proofs were not alone a
- 30:00Speaker 3: little motherfucker look real.
- 30:01Speaker 2: As fucked and like they're happy seeing them comments right now.
- 30:05Speaker 1: The thing is is, like I think once people really
- 30:07Speaker 1: like have to realize, there'll be a moment where they
- 30:10Speaker 1: have to really like be like, oh, it kind of
- 30:13Speaker 1: like it, you know, for me, I know it's gonna
- 30:16Speaker 1: make a lot of people who grew up super religious,
- 30:19Speaker 1: who grew up believing certain things. It's gonna kind of
- 30:21Speaker 1: poke a lot of random holes in the dude. Besides
- 30:24Speaker 1: on that, have you ever seen Judah in the Black Onside?
- 30:26Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 30:27Speaker 3: All right, Like, look how the government did them? Bro,
- 30:29Speaker 3: Look how they did the panthers? Right, Like, Bro, they
- 30:32Speaker 3: will do things to fuck you off, right, Like, I'm
- 30:35Speaker 3: not gonna say no names. I don't want to know
- 30:36Speaker 3: smoke with nobody. But I think there's people in our
- 30:39Speaker 3: in our culture right now that cause a lot of
- 30:42Speaker 3: trouble on the end, on the internet and with other celebrities.
- 30:45Speaker 3: I believe they're working for the CIA. That's that's my
- 30:48Speaker 3: honest being. I'm like, Yo, there's no way this guy
- 30:51Speaker 3: is constantly trying to tempt people and throw people out
- 30:53Speaker 3: their game and get them to say or do other
- 30:55Speaker 3: things that might put them in jail. It's been their
- 30:58Speaker 3: agenda against minorities for a long time.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I think like there is some sort of like and
- 31:03Speaker 1: like you said, that word conspiracy theorist has gotten. It's
- 31:08Speaker 1: gotten to the point where like you can't question anything
- 31:12Speaker 1: without being called crazy.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Do that have fact checkers doom? Well?
- 31:15Speaker 1: And to me, it's like, you know, I remember when
- 31:20Speaker 1: conspiracy theories were like.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Nine to eleven and you'd be like, oh, you know,
- 31:25Speaker 2: let me look into this.
- 31:26Speaker 1: But now it's like if you question anything, they put
- 31:31Speaker 1: you in that box. Like I look at you know,
- 31:34Speaker 1: RFK Junior, who's somebody who I think it's dope. You know,
- 31:38Speaker 1: I've watched his interviews and I don't think he's said
- 31:40Speaker 1: anything crazy, you know what I mean. I just think
- 31:42Speaker 1: he's just a curious dude who's wants to question shit.
- 31:44Speaker 1: But they are so they just put him in that box.
- 31:48Speaker 1: And then people who don't do the work or the
- 31:52Speaker 1: like my mom, Like I told my mom, I was like, hey,
- 31:54Speaker 1: I fuck with RFK, and she.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Was like, he's a fucking kook, he's crazy. And I
- 31:59Speaker 2: was like, have you ever heard him speak like.
- 32:01Speaker 3: He's asking he's at least addressing the real world issues. Yeah,
- 32:05Speaker 3: he's addressing the fact that like multiple corporations really run everything.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Which is crazy.
- 32:10Speaker 1: That's a concern which should be the number one thing
- 32:14Speaker 1: everyone should be worried about.
- 32:15Speaker 2: That's a concern. Monopoly sucks. Yeah, the Guard, the Black Rock,
- 32:18Speaker 2: and State Street.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Are like kind of running your entire life and no
- 32:23Speaker 1: one's talking about it. But but but that also might
- 32:25Speaker 1: be the reason why he's he's getting boxed out, you know.
- 32:28Speaker 3: I mean, he's the only presidential candidate that doesn't have
- 32:31Speaker 3: secret service at his disposal.
- 32:33Speaker 2: And someone trying to just run a bom. Yeah. So
- 32:36Speaker 2: you know, the world is full of hidden agendas.
- 32:39Speaker 3: The more older you get, more money, you touch some
- 32:43Speaker 3: more bull should you deal with like this, Shaw, I'm
- 32:45Speaker 3: jahn with with these lawsuits and powerful groups and big
- 32:48Speaker 3: money guys. You realize that, Yo, this shit's real dog
- 32:51Speaker 3: Like it's different. Like it's different, It's definitely different. You
- 32:55Speaker 3: mentioned having forty nine albums. I always say this.
- 32:59Speaker 1: When we talk about just consistency as an MC, as
- 33:03Speaker 1: a rapper, as an artist.
- 33:05Speaker 2: I feel like you're one of the most consistent guys
- 33:07Speaker 2: in the game.
- 33:07Speaker 1: You've always been extremely I mean no matter what was
- 33:10Speaker 1: going on in your life, you always have the time
- 33:13Speaker 1: to you know, hone in and create and make an album,
- 33:16Speaker 1: more collabor with an artists to make a project for you.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Like you know, obviously it's a passion thing.
- 33:24Speaker 1: But like for whatever reason, is it's still bother you
- 33:27Speaker 1: that maybe you don't get the acknowledgement or the accolades
- 33:31Speaker 1: or the.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Flowers as a rapper that you do for all the
- 33:34Speaker 2: other shit.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Nah, because I knew if I put one hundred percent
- 33:38Speaker 3: energy behind music, it'd probably be a lot bigger, right.
- 33:40Speaker 3: And I argue with my DJ, you know tep on
- 33:43Speaker 3: this too, about changing our setup and trying new things.
- 33:47Speaker 3: I just told my I said, bro, it's a bandwidth issue
- 33:49Speaker 3: at this point. Like I'm running cookies, clothing. I'm running
- 33:51Speaker 3: cookies and we business. I'm running vibes, papers, I'm running
- 33:55Speaker 3: you know, this compound and our media as you know
- 33:57Speaker 3: company that we're trying to build, and I have so
- 34:00Speaker 3: much time for music. I told the music is my therapy, bro,
- 34:02Speaker 3: Like I don't really look at like it's my business.
- 34:05Speaker 3: If I treat it more like a business, I probably
- 34:07Speaker 3: make way more money, I probably get way more respect.
- 34:09Speaker 3: I've had people like to chains to be like, bro,
- 34:11Speaker 3: like why don't you be like our like Mexican version
- 34:16Speaker 3: of Rick Bross, Like you got that talk, you got
- 34:18Speaker 3: that respect, Like people fuck with you, but you're not
- 34:20Speaker 3: putting enough respect on like your image and the way.
- 34:23Speaker 3: I'm like, Bro, I'm just a real dude. Bro, I
- 34:25Speaker 3: don't really be tripping off, like really trying to build
- 34:28Speaker 3: myself as this big old facade. Yeah, like like you're
- 34:31Speaker 3: not a character. No, I just feel like music is
- 34:34Speaker 3: a good it's a good therapy for me. It's a
- 34:36Speaker 3: challenge for me to still to try and stay relevant
- 34:38Speaker 3: after all this time. It's a it's a way for me,
- 34:41Speaker 3: like to be creative outside of like all this other stuff.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I have fun doing it, but I don't treat like
- 34:46Speaker 3: my number one priority. I feel like if I did,
- 34:48Speaker 3: I could be like a French Montana or something like that. Right,
- 34:50Speaker 3: Like I could be looked at as like a bigger artist, right,
- 34:54Speaker 3: I could wear jewelry every day and glasses and be
- 34:56Speaker 3: fitted up. But like, I'm comfortable in this rest shit
- 34:58Speaker 3: right now. I'm rich, motherfucker. I don't need to show it, right,
- 35:02Speaker 3: Like for what, Like my new flex is not the flex.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I got a pair of earrings on, but I'm not
- 35:07Speaker 3: worrying my you know, twenty different rings. I'm not wearing
- 35:10Speaker 3: big old chains or I'm not really worried about my
- 35:13Speaker 3: outfit so much. I don't give a fuck. All the
- 35:15Speaker 3: billionaires I meet look like fucking bumps. They pull up
- 35:19Speaker 3: looking real humble, and some dress down that shit. And
- 35:22Speaker 3: that's how that's what I want to be like at
- 35:24Speaker 3: this point. Like, bro, if you've seen the whip I'm
- 35:26Speaker 3: driving in right now, I gave the mayback truck back.
- 35:28Speaker 3: I'm like, bro, fuck all this flashy shit.
- 35:30Speaker 2: I got it.
- 35:31Speaker 3: There's the world knows I got it, so why even
- 35:34Speaker 3: try to prove it anymore?

- 38:46Speaker 1: Now, I feel you I'm on that safe shit when
- 38:48Speaker 1: I mean, obviously I'm much lower over lower level, but.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Like, yeah, I'm not.
- 38:53Speaker 1: You know, I have ow a nightclub now and Scott's
- 38:55Speaker 1: still you bet you were there. But my partners man,
- 38:57Speaker 1: they love the beamers and they.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Get that's just oh I feel like that's just you're
- 39:02Speaker 3: just rubbing that shit in people's faces.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Care Yeah, I don't care. My wife is a nice whip.
- 39:07Speaker 1: I drive my car that I don't mind driving to
- 39:11Speaker 1: the band and putting miles on, and you know, my
- 39:14Speaker 1: wife is sitting nice.
- 39:15Speaker 3: And I feel like I feel like right now we
- 39:18Speaker 3: learn a lot like recipes to P and B bro
- 39:20Speaker 3: like and recipes, so all these other situations, all these
- 39:22Speaker 3: other people that are losing their lives, But like, I
- 39:24Speaker 3: feel like, right now, the world's in the most fucked
- 39:27Speaker 3: up position we've seen it in our generation. Besides two
- 39:30Speaker 3: thousand and eight, people are broke, people are hurting.
- 39:33Speaker 1: It feels it does feel though the energy is not
- 39:35Speaker 1: the same in terms of like literal loss that's happening
- 39:38Speaker 1: in a wait, but it feels almost like like you
- 39:42Speaker 1: could feel it.
- 39:43Speaker 3: The amount of calls to get every day for people
- 39:45Speaker 3: trying to get money or trying to figure out ways
- 39:47Speaker 3: to make money, or people feeling the loss of motion
- 39:50Speaker 3: is crazy. And so I don't want to be the
- 39:52Speaker 3: one to be rubbing no shit in people's faces right now.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Rather just stay okey, do my thing. But as far
- 39:58Speaker 3: as music goes, I'm gonna keep trying like I'm gonna
- 40:01Speaker 3: keep doing my thing, having fun with it. I know,
- 40:02Speaker 3: me and O Jeezi are locked in for next month
- 40:04Speaker 3: to knock out a EP, which will be dope.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Brings some good young energy around for sure. You know
- 40:10Speaker 2: you let him use the bus before.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Yeah, that's my little bro right and and I think
- 40:14Speaker 3: he's super dope. And I'm like, let me get next
- 40:16Speaker 3: to O Gz and just kind of soak up some
- 40:18Speaker 3: of the energy real quick. I already got the beats
- 40:20Speaker 3: picked out, you know. Rory called the other days like, Bro, like,
- 40:22Speaker 3: do we need some man? They pick beats I'm like, bro, Bro,
- 40:25Speaker 3: you are great. You are there's one thing you do well.
- 40:27Speaker 3: You picked fucking.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Beats man for me and no JEZ project. I got
- 40:30Speaker 2: some ship. You are great.
- 40:32Speaker 3: You're great an r Yeah, that's why I told Roy. Yes,
- 40:34Speaker 3: I said, Bro, I don't like to say this too often, but.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I got us that record you dropped, one of my
- 40:40Speaker 1: favorite records you dropped recently.
- 40:42Speaker 2: It was you, Conway Jayda. Who else was on that record?
- 40:46Speaker 3: It was me, Conway, Mazi Mazi uh styles P.
- 40:52Speaker 2: No, it wasn't Jaya styles and styles P And that
- 40:55Speaker 2: shit was crazy.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Yeah, sh it was hard, but I got the me
- 40:58Speaker 3: and O g Z project lined up. I got me
- 41:00Speaker 3: and Larry June want to do another one, but I wanted.
- 41:03Speaker 3: I told them I want to take the time and
- 41:04Speaker 3: have all live music being placed and we could performing
- 41:07Speaker 3: that ship with the band Me and Mazzi got another
- 41:10Speaker 3: one coming. I already got individuals too. Yeah, I already
- 41:12Speaker 3: got the beats picked. Me and Bureau, got a full
- 41:15Speaker 3: album already done, produced by Scott Storch. I just need
- 41:17Speaker 3: to find the time to like added like two more hooks,
- 41:20Speaker 3: maybe like three features.
- 41:22Speaker 2: You would be real.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Haven't done anything for a while, I mean at least
- 41:25Speaker 1: what it's been like six seven.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Years, no four now Lost Meadows was the last that
- 41:31Speaker 2: was a great album.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Just happened during COVID and we've got you know, yeah
- 41:36Speaker 3: we got discouraged because the album was so good. But
- 41:39Speaker 3: then for COVID, we just got fucked on the promo
- 41:41Speaker 3: for it. But yeah, man, I got me and o
- 41:44Speaker 3: g Zy, I got me, and Mazi got me, and
- 41:46Speaker 3: Larry June, I got me, and be real, I'm gonna
- 41:48Speaker 3: bring one back with my brother and Pacino, you know,
- 41:51Speaker 3: for old school purposes, just old school mob sound. But
- 41:55Speaker 3: I'm going all group projects right now for a while.
- 41:57Speaker 3: I feel like I've done a good amount of solos.
- 41:59Speaker 3: I'm just let me just go group projects and just
- 42:01Speaker 3: bring different energies out.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Have you had the opportunity to tap in or meet
- 42:06Speaker 1: or at least check out Mexican Ot?
- 42:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I was supposed to be involved in
- 42:12Speaker 3: this project. Something fell through the cracks. But I got
- 42:14Speaker 3: a call by like, you know, potentially helping the A
- 42:17Speaker 3: and R hist project and like sitting with him and
- 42:20Speaker 3: helping pick beasts and come up with just like features
- 42:22Speaker 3: and things like that because someone else recognized Chinese ships,
- 42:24Speaker 3: recognized the talent for the year, but something got lost
- 42:28Speaker 3: in communication.
- 42:29Speaker 2: But he's a good kid.
- 42:31Speaker 3: I still want the opportunity though, because I feel like
- 42:33Speaker 3: he's a Doe Baz artist. He has a lot of potential.
- 42:35Speaker 3: He's blowing the fuck up, and I feel like, you know, shit,
- 42:39Speaker 3: if I just sat with him for one album, I like,
- 42:41Speaker 3: I'll bring on some shit. He don't even know what
- 42:43Speaker 3: he got yet. And I feel like he's got a
- 42:45Speaker 3: good sound, he's got a good look, he's got like
- 42:47Speaker 3: a good momentum. But shit, ot, I know the first project,
- 42:52Speaker 3: things slipped through the cracks. I'm running a billion dollar business.
- 42:55Speaker 3: It wasn't on purpose. If you hear this sit down
- 42:58Speaker 3: with me for one project us, I bring a whole
- 43:00Speaker 3: different world out for you brothers, just on some just
- 43:03Speaker 3: whole different vibe with the production, with the features, with
- 43:06Speaker 3: the rollout, like and you know, I think that.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Kid's got a lot of potential.
- 43:10Speaker 4: You know.
- 43:10Speaker 1: I wonder like you sitting back and kind of seeing
- 43:13Speaker 1: because we're talked about how like you know, for whatever reason,
- 43:15Speaker 1: the Bay gets overlooked when you're thinking like.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Stories and how you know, it gets covered.
- 43:21Speaker 1: I mean, I think lately, unfortunately, most of the stuff
- 43:23Speaker 1: we hear about the Bay and the news world like
- 43:26Speaker 1: nationwide is real negative. You know what I'm saying, It's
- 43:28Speaker 1: fucked up out here, whether it's the smashing grabs or
- 43:32Speaker 1: the bippin or you know, whatever the case is. For you, Like,
- 43:37Speaker 1: what do you think is you know, because because if
- 43:40Speaker 1: you go through the city, if you go into San Francisco,
- 43:43Speaker 1: it's a lot of different place than it wasn't five
- 43:45Speaker 1: years ago, four years ago, you know what I mean?
- 43:47Speaker 1: Like for you, what do you think is the remedy?
- 43:49Speaker 1: And what do you think is the cause of kind
- 43:51Speaker 1: of all the chaos in the.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Bay right now? Man, it's gonna be a touchy subject. Bro.
- 43:56Speaker 3: I'm just gonna be real, bro, because at the end
- 43:57Speaker 3: of the day, I'm not I didn't make it as
- 43:59Speaker 3: far to stay is about things. I think they just
- 44:01Speaker 3: let the city go to shit on purpose. They gentified
- 44:03Speaker 3: the fuck out of San Francisco. They moved all the
- 44:05Speaker 3: people that are from there out of there, so the actual.
- 44:08Speaker 2: Care and love is not really there anymore.
- 44:10Speaker 3: From people that grew up in neighborhoods like Hunter's Point
- 44:13Speaker 3: or Lakeview or the Filmore District or the Mission. They
- 44:16Speaker 3: just moved everyone out. They brought big tech in. Big
- 44:18Speaker 3: tech got spoiled, they got you know that, they start
- 44:21Speaker 3: turning the city into what they want to. Even the
- 44:24Speaker 3: neighborhood I grew up in on California and Feelmore. My
- 44:27Speaker 3: dad's restaurant used to be on top of our on
- 44:29Speaker 3: the bottom of our apartment complex, and then there'd be
- 44:31Speaker 3: like a movie store, there'd be a pizza shop, there'd
- 44:34Speaker 3: be a coffee shop, there'd be this Mexican restaurant. It's
- 44:36Speaker 3: all boutie clothing stores around. I was like, who the fuck,
- 44:39Speaker 3: what the fuck? This ain't the neighborhood no more. This
- 44:41Speaker 3: is something like I in techie shit and so I
- 44:44Speaker 3: think the biggest problem with SF is that I got
- 44:46Speaker 3: gentrified and they got way too liberal. Like, Bro, I
- 44:49Speaker 3: like how liberal the barry is. I grew up getting
- 44:51Speaker 3: money because of the laws of how liberal it is.
- 44:53Speaker 3: But Bro, they smash and grab shits some some chump
- 44:56Speaker 3: ass shit. Bro, And like the fact they just let
- 44:59Speaker 3: it ride like that, like the in fact you could
- 45:00Speaker 3: walk into Walgreens and just take whatever you want and.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Walk out and not worry about going to jail.
- 45:05Speaker 3: It's bullshit because at the end of the day, Bro,
- 45:07Speaker 3: we got kids, and I want my kids to feel
- 45:10Speaker 3: safe when they go do their thing in the city.
- 45:12Speaker 1: You like, if your daughter was eighteen nineteen, because she's
- 45:14Speaker 1: getting there right sixteen, you know, you would not feel comfortable.
- 45:18Speaker 2: With her going shopping by herself in San Francisco.
- 45:20Speaker 3: I send somebody with her because I know what it is.
- 45:22Speaker 3: I know that there's a risk for her car to
- 45:24Speaker 3: get broken into. I know there's a risk for someone
- 45:26Speaker 3: to steal someone out of her hand and just move.
- 45:28Speaker 3: And so this is the bear area, y'all. We grew
- 45:31Speaker 3: up selling packs, getting money out of the bitch. We
- 45:34Speaker 3: grew up, you know, doing what we had to do.
- 45:35Speaker 3: We're real hustlers with this home of the independent blueprint
- 45:39Speaker 3: for sure. Forty JT. The bigger figure. We own our
- 45:42Speaker 3: own masters. We were taught how to hustle from our mouthpiece.
- 45:46Speaker 3: I feel like that's where I am.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Where I am in life.
- 45:48Speaker 3: It is because I was bred by the real ones,
- 45:50Speaker 3: were real game. Bring it back to that, dude, go
- 45:53Speaker 3: pick up, go go get back with this shit.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Man.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Go hate to say it as a father, if a
- 45:58Speaker 3: teenage we go break a bitch, Go go go sell
- 46:02Speaker 3: a pack, Go go build an independent fucking portfolio of music.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Go do something dope. Man.
- 46:09Speaker 3: All this other shit is hell a petty It just
- 46:12Speaker 3: it's trash, and like, that's not what we represent. I
- 46:14Speaker 3: see some big players speaking out on it, some real
- 46:17Speaker 3: ones that did a lot of time out of the
- 46:19Speaker 3: Oakland area shout to little d and shouts the real ones,
- 46:22Speaker 3: the real players. We're players in the Bay area. We're
- 46:25Speaker 3: go getters, we're independent husters. We're a different breath than
- 46:28Speaker 3: anyone else. Just put that respect back on the area
- 46:31Speaker 3: because right now we look like a bunch of little
- 46:33Speaker 3: petty ASTs and that's not what it is.
- 46:35Speaker 2: You know, it's crazy.
- 46:36Speaker 1: I have just talk all the time, because you know,
- 46:38Speaker 1: I'm a fucking pretty liberal dude. You know, like I
- 46:41Speaker 1: voted Democrat most of my life, my whole life, me too,
- 46:46Speaker 1: And you know it's like it's like, at what point
- 46:50Speaker 1: in time, It's like, yo, what do they do?
- 46:52Speaker 3: I feel like they're getting too liberal, bro, They're letting
- 46:55Speaker 3: this ship fall and this is.
- 46:56Speaker 2: My belle shit, Like it's like that's coming to La
- 46:59Speaker 2: to first. I'm like, y'all think LA is bad right now? Yeah,
- 47:02Speaker 2: but let me tell you why.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Though I'm a preach man, I feel like they're doing
- 47:07Speaker 3: this shit on purpose so they can implement other laws
- 47:10Speaker 3: that weighs supersede any of this shes so y'all can
- 47:12Speaker 3: get away with some bullshit right now. Keep sucking up
- 47:15Speaker 3: our program, keep making us a look crazy, and they're.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Gonna come They're gonna come in and be like.
- 47:19Speaker 3: You know what, due to all this problems, we're going
- 47:21Speaker 3: to put in this law right here that's boom boom
- 47:23Speaker 3: boom boom boom running by WHOA, so everyone's to show
- 47:27Speaker 3: you're scan your.
- 47:28Speaker 2: ID before you even enter them all soon.
- 47:30Speaker 3: It just I feel like China is leading the way
- 47:33Speaker 3: for like the social credit score ship and they're leading
- 47:37Speaker 3: the way for like this non real lifestyle, like they're monitoring.
- 47:43Speaker 3: They're the real big brother right now. And I feel
- 47:45Speaker 3: like what they're doing in the US, especially in democratic areas,
- 47:50Speaker 3: is they're letting this ship fall apart on purpose so
- 47:53Speaker 3: they can implement bigger laws that just affect and take
- 47:56Speaker 3: all of our freedom away. That's just my opinion. I
- 47:59Speaker 3: could be high.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Maybe guys have been smoke a little too much fun.
- 48:03Speaker 1: There is something to be said about like that social
- 48:04Speaker 1: credit score ship, because it already kind of feels like
- 48:06Speaker 1: it's happening.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Like look, yeah, it's happening. Look at Instagram. Dog, you
- 48:10Speaker 2: act wrong.
- 48:11Speaker 3: You speak about something that I don't want you to
- 48:12Speaker 3: speak about. You get shadow man. They tell you we're
- 48:15Speaker 3: only showing your content to X. My Why who's designing
- 48:18Speaker 3: this ship? That's that big brother shit. That's why you
- 48:21Speaker 3: should join Social club.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Motherfucker. Sh how social Club doing? It's too tough, bro,
- 48:26Speaker 2: I mean bro.
- 48:27Speaker 3: We built out an app that allows you to upload pictures, videos,
- 48:32Speaker 3: text posts. You could put your whole menu if you're
- 48:35Speaker 3: a trapper or if you have a story, you can
- 48:37Speaker 3: put your whole menu of products in price for free.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Attached to your profile or putting audio comments and audio
- 48:44Speaker 3: caption right. No other platform has it, but doing we'll
- 48:48Speaker 3: fuck with the platform. I'm burnt out on it. I'm
- 48:51Speaker 3: thinking about giving up on it again. That's the one
- 48:53Speaker 3: basics second fare out, which is tech.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Because you're competing with like I mean, but think about this, though,
- 49:01Speaker 1: we're competing with a platform that doesn't give a fuck
- 49:04Speaker 1: about any of us.
- 49:04Speaker 2: All shit shadow band.
- 49:06Speaker 3: So when a Facebook tell me, yo, you got two
- 49:08Speaker 3: million followers, you should be at thirteen million followers. But
- 49:11Speaker 3: all the ways you've been in search for, all the
- 49:13Speaker 3: stuff that you've done, the accomplishments you've made, there's no
- 49:15Speaker 3: way I was stuck at one point nine million followers
- 49:17Speaker 3: for two years. You mean to tell me I was
- 49:19Speaker 3: on the cover of Forest magazine and my followers didn't
- 49:21Speaker 3: go up one hundred thousand at all.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Fuck that.
- 49:24Speaker 3: She's like, you should be at thirteen million at least,
- 49:26Speaker 3: but they're capping your growth.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Well, I think what it is, man, is unfortunately, like
- 49:30Speaker 1: everyone's gonna go where the attention is, right. So if
- 49:33Speaker 1: you're like a fucking business owner, you want to be
- 49:36Speaker 1: where everybody's at.
- 49:37Speaker 2: It just is what it is.
- 49:38Speaker 1: So it's like in the same way that like, you know,
- 49:41Speaker 1: like YouTube. Unfortunately, you know, there's other YouTube competitors that
- 49:45Speaker 1: have popped up that like Rumble and shit like that.
- 49:48Speaker 1: But you know, it's like if you got to if
- 49:50Speaker 1: you got a content channel, you kind of have to
- 49:52Speaker 1: depend on YouTube in a certain way because you want,
- 49:56Speaker 1: if you want your shit to scale for real.
- 49:58Speaker 2: That's where the eyes are already get people to switch
- 50:01Speaker 2: from Instagram.
- 50:01Speaker 3: I've offered other celebrities equity and social club to help
- 50:05Speaker 3: me build.
- 50:05Speaker 2: It's like, nah man, it's not gonna work. You know.
- 50:07Speaker 3: I'm like, bro, I put you know, over like two
- 50:11Speaker 3: point five million dollars in.
- 50:13Speaker 2: A social club toll.
- 50:13Speaker 3: I'm trying to give away equity to people, just help
- 50:15Speaker 3: me build it.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Like, nah man, it's not gonna work.
- 50:18Speaker 1: It's just tough because you're you're competing with these guys
- 50:20Speaker 1: in Santa Clara and the Silking Valley, you know what
- 50:22Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 50:24Speaker 3: I mean, at some point people are gonna get sick
- 50:26Speaker 3: having their posts deleted, you know.
- 50:28Speaker 2: So I think I think.
- 50:29Speaker 1: What's gonna happen hopefully is once we probably becomes federally legal,
- 50:32Speaker 1: there will be probably like a need for like a
- 50:34Speaker 1: real platform like Social Club, because it's gonna be such
- 50:39Speaker 1: a it's gonna be It's just I feel like there's
- 50:42Speaker 1: there's there's.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Gotta be it. There's gonna be a weed platform.
- 50:45Speaker 3: Twenty years for well, if you sell weed, if you
- 50:47Speaker 3: smoke weed, if you post weed. You should know this
- 50:49Speaker 3: one hundred percent. Mark Zuckerberg fucking hate sweedes, not want Yeah, yeah,
- 50:55Speaker 3: I mean I've heard it from the top. I'm from here,
- 50:57Speaker 3: I live in the barrier. I know people that work
- 50:59Speaker 3: with the homie and so basically he just doesn't like.
- 51:02Speaker 2: We keeping keep wet off ig, don't want your pay.
- 51:06Speaker 3: Or just join Social Club and post your weed there, Like,
- 51:08Speaker 3: don't be a fucking pussy start up at the count.
- 51:11Speaker 3: If you really claim you trap or die, ship, you've
- 51:13Speaker 3: put your menu up for free right now on my ship.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Yeah you know ship fuck with me, hey man, Social Club,
- 51:20Speaker 3: I got a profile, will follow me on there? Now,
- 51:22Speaker 3: I got a profile doing really interacts on there. That's
- 51:26Speaker 3: I'll be honest place. It's gonna take us to build it, man,
- 51:28Speaker 3: because I don't even like going there and getting like
- 51:30Speaker 3: no response. I get like forty comments and ship, but
- 51:33Speaker 3: like at the end it's a good platform.
- 51:35Speaker 2: If we all move over there, then it's you know,
- 51:37Speaker 2: ship is what it is.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Yo, You've been so good at building brands. I just
- 51:41Speaker 1: saw Vibes clothing launched. I got a pack shot to
- 51:44Speaker 1: Helmie Luck sent me some gear. But you've just been
- 51:48Speaker 1: so you have a knack for brand building, and that's
- 51:51Speaker 1: the talent.
- 51:53Speaker 2: You know.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Cookies obviously is one of the most recognizable brands in the.
- 51:57Speaker 2: World at this point. It's getting bootlegg everywhere to go
- 52:02Speaker 2: to the santy alleys. There's so much fake cookie shit.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Man, fuck it, let them be cheer right right right, Yeah,
- 52:08Speaker 1: it's like a fucking billboard for you.
- 52:09Speaker 2: At the end of the day, you go to the
- 52:11Speaker 2: guy that whatever liquor store.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Shady just empty bags for sale for a dollar a piece.
- 52:17Speaker 1: You can get you your cookie bag and stuff whatever
- 52:19Speaker 1: bullshit weaed in there.
- 52:21Speaker 3: Shadiest fun you've seen those, right, Yeah, they even have
- 52:25Speaker 3: like fake grinders and fink like fucking There's been some
- 52:29Speaker 3: cool blue Legs Ship I've seen, but like, yeah, we
- 52:31Speaker 3: we're probably like one of the most number one bout
- 52:34Speaker 3: leg brands out there.
- 52:35Speaker 2: But when the weed stace, you're definitely number one.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, but even like on the clothing accessory side,
- 52:41Speaker 3: like I'll see like fake bongs and all kinds of cages.
- 52:43Speaker 2: But you know, at the end of day, it's like fluw, dude.
- 52:45Speaker 3: That makes me feel good because if people really want
- 52:47Speaker 3: to take their energy to kind of boot leg what
- 52:50Speaker 3: I'm doing, then it's like that means you're doing something.
- 52:52Speaker 3: If the brands are not getting bout legs something to
- 52:55Speaker 3: worry about it.
- 52:55Speaker 2: They should worry about that.
- 52:56Speaker 1: I was gonna ask you though, in terms of like
- 52:58Speaker 1: brand building, what are some of the things that like
- 53:01Speaker 1: you could give some game on in terms of maybe
- 53:03Speaker 1: if somebody is starting a new business, maybe it's a
- 53:06Speaker 1: coffee shop, maybe it's a pastry line, maybe it's you know,
- 53:09Speaker 1: what are the kind of the general things that you know,
- 53:12Speaker 1: would you would say are important?
- 53:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll give you guys like three and then the
- 53:16Speaker 3: rest you gotta buy the book.
- 53:17Speaker 2: I got a book on the way.
- 53:20Speaker 3: But pretty much like first thing, first, you got to
- 53:22Speaker 3: find your identity. You gotta find your logo and your identity.
- 53:25Speaker 3: You see, cookies got that circle ce and we got
- 53:27Speaker 3: to find on my hands. You want to find your script,
- 53:29Speaker 3: You want to find your identity. I think second thing
- 53:31Speaker 3: that's important is like, find a colorway that sticks out.
- 53:34Speaker 3: We can paint that building blue and you know what
- 53:36Speaker 3: it is. Even in markets where like they won't let
- 53:38Speaker 3: us call the building cookies, not just painted blue. You know,
- 53:41Speaker 3: if there's a medical market we opened up West Virginia,
- 53:44Speaker 3: we couldn't put no signs.
- 53:45Speaker 2: In there, but that bitch is blue. I know exactly
- 53:47Speaker 2: know what is.
- 53:48Speaker 3: So find your identity, find your script, find your color way.
- 53:51Speaker 3: And I think the third thing is like you better
- 53:53Speaker 3: be hands on with your shit, because if you're not
- 53:55Speaker 3: hands on with your shit, you're never going to actually
- 53:57Speaker 3: really own and understand your shit. You could pay agency
- 54:00Speaker 3: to build this for, you can do that for. You
- 54:02Speaker 3: can pay people to do marketing. But if you ain't
- 54:04Speaker 3: really on the ground building that shit, then it's not real.
- 54:08Speaker 2: That's the real shit. Most people like you said, though,
- 54:11Speaker 2: I feel like a lot.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Of people will settle for whatever shitty design to get
- 54:13Speaker 1: back from the graphic designer they paid the first time.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Even deeper.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Now I got hundreds of employees, and some of their
- 54:20Speaker 3: jobs will be like to go see quality and common
- 54:23Speaker 3: in quality. But like when I see something, I'll be like,
- 54:25Speaker 3: can you step a call with the partners from me,
- 54:26Speaker 3: so I can call and be like, Yo, this looks
- 54:28Speaker 3: really good and it burns pretty good, but I feel
- 54:31Speaker 3: like we can do a little better, and I feel
- 54:33Speaker 3: like we do abcfg that can really bring a whole
- 54:35Speaker 3: new product out and yeah, but I don't really know
- 54:40Speaker 3: like if I even have time for that, but I
- 54:42Speaker 3: do it, and by calling them directly, they respect the
- 54:46Speaker 3: fuck out of it and they're fired up that I'm
- 54:48Speaker 3: even paying attention to what's coming out of a random.
- 54:50Speaker 2: Market, right.
- 54:52Speaker 3: And so I just feel like when you put that
- 54:54Speaker 3: work in yourself, then people will respect you as as
- 54:57Speaker 3: that brand and you'll actually know what's going on all
- 55:00Speaker 3: with your brand. I could be clueless sitting in this
- 55:02Speaker 3: building right now, but yeah, Cookies is great.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Man.
- 55:05Speaker 3: We're fucking the biggest and the best, and yeah, fucking
- 55:07Speaker 3: rock on. Or it could be the way I am
- 55:09Speaker 3: antal about everything. Let me see it, Oh man, we
- 55:11Speaker 3: could change this, or this store feels good, but we
- 55:14Speaker 3: should do this, or like, are are they doing sales
- 55:16Speaker 3: every week? Are they you know, are they engaging with
- 55:18Speaker 3: the customer. I'm so hands on with everything from like
- 55:21Speaker 3: design to flower new products to launches, or products to
- 55:25Speaker 3: partners to you know, drama going on here there. That's
- 55:29Speaker 3: why the business is still what it is is because
- 55:31Speaker 3: I know what's up. Yeah, lose touch your shit, You're fucked.
- 55:35Speaker 3: That's some real shit.
- 55:37Speaker 1: I was gonna ask you in terms of, you know,
- 55:42Speaker 1: you've had a journey that we've all watched very closely,
- 55:46Speaker 1: but there was like a point in time where you
- 55:48Speaker 1: were still probably very much like one foot in, one
- 55:52Speaker 1: foot out on, like still being the guy sending packs
- 55:56Speaker 1: and trapping hard and and and and also the guy
- 55:59Speaker 1: trying to build a business in a career as an artist.
- 56:03Speaker 1: A lot of those things parallel with each other. Do
- 56:05Speaker 1: you remember kind of when was the first time you
- 56:10Speaker 1: kind of got like the peace sleep of like I'm
- 56:14Speaker 1: out of that life, like because at the end of
- 56:16Speaker 1: the day, we're still you're still in the weak game, right,
- 56:18Speaker 1: So it's still the weak games. You're still gonna kind
- 56:19Speaker 1: of be involved in certain type of around certain people
- 56:23Speaker 1: and shit. But in terms of just like really being like, man,
- 56:26Speaker 1: I got through that shit.
- 56:27Speaker 3: You know what I mean, Like, yeah, when it hit
- 56:29Speaker 3: that ten year mark, yeah, ten years right, I mean
- 56:32Speaker 3: I think it's statue limitations, like seven years maybe it's
- 56:35Speaker 3: ten years. I don't know, but after ten years, so
- 56:38Speaker 3: like not being fucked with for anything ident the past,
- 56:40Speaker 3: I felt good. I mean, we still get targeted and
- 56:43Speaker 3: still get profile, still get questioned and have issues with
- 56:48Speaker 3: banks and stuff like that, but like from the little
- 56:51Speaker 3: shit I did prior in the very beginning of my career. Yeah,
- 56:55Speaker 3: after that ten year of mark, you know, probably.
- 56:57Speaker 2: You're like, hey, I ain't heard about it yet. I
- 56:59Speaker 2: ain't gonna hear about it, you know.
- 57:01Speaker 3: But I just chose to walk away at the right time.
- 57:04Speaker 2: My mom died.
- 57:05Speaker 3: There's gonna be no one else that could look after
- 57:07Speaker 3: love my daughter the way I would or she would. Yeah,
- 57:09Speaker 3: and I was like, I'm out. It's it took a
- 57:12Speaker 3: lot of dedication. But that again, that's why I feel
- 57:14Speaker 3: like the brand is what it is because I put
- 57:16Speaker 3: it all onto that you could have one foot in
- 57:18Speaker 3: and one foot out, but like you're only giving that
- 57:22Speaker 3: one foot in half attention. Like, bro, I could be
- 57:26Speaker 3: the brown bag boy right now. I could send packs.
- 57:29Speaker 3: I could get more money for weed than anyone else
- 57:32Speaker 3: I could be I know everybody.
- 57:34Speaker 2: I could be killing it, But like, why would I
- 57:35Speaker 2: do that when.
- 57:36Speaker 3: I have cookies potentially being you know, one of the
- 57:39Speaker 3: biggest canvas brands in the world as far as like
- 57:41Speaker 3: being recognized everywhere, right, Like, why did I jeopardize that shit?
- 57:44Speaker 3: And it's tough, it's tempting, and I missed the brown bag,
- 57:47Speaker 3: and I missed hustling and whatnot, But like I just
- 57:49Speaker 3: hustled a different way.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Yeah, what would be your advice? Because we see guys
- 57:55Speaker 1: like jay Z popped up.
- 57:56Speaker 2: And had to be a brand and I don't know
- 57:57Speaker 2: what happened with it, because I think it's called le
- 58:00Speaker 2: came in.
- 58:02Speaker 1: But we kind of see that a version of that
- 58:04Speaker 1: happening a lot with artists, especially artists who don't necessarily
- 58:08Speaker 1: even smoke with right, what would be like, you know,
- 58:12Speaker 1: because because I do feel like there is a misconception
- 58:16Speaker 1: that if you just get it, get your own strain,
- 58:19Speaker 1: you know, man, you see it.
- 58:20Speaker 2: All the time. We don't even got to say names.
- 58:22Speaker 1: But there's so many rappers out here who have gone
- 58:26Speaker 1: in and out of just strained deals and hoard themselves
- 58:28Speaker 1: out to so many different guys, and they're on Instagram
- 58:32Speaker 1: talking to doing posts for people about boxes and you
- 58:36Speaker 1: see these terrible It's fucking crazy. There are these like, Yo,
- 58:41Speaker 1: you're getting paid by the trapper in downtown LA to
- 58:44Speaker 1: shout out their fucking telegram, like.
- 58:48Speaker 2: What are we doing here? Like? Well, the first thing first,
- 58:50Speaker 2: like if I if I was still sending boxes, I
- 58:53Speaker 2: wouldn't pay anyone to shot me out at all. That's crazy.
- 58:56Speaker 2: That's it's crazy. Yeah, you're snitching on yourself.
- 58:58Speaker 3: So that's just I see that, and I'm like what,
- 59:01Speaker 3: I'm like, Well, it's a commercial for them to come
- 59:04Speaker 3: and get you, brother.
- 59:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:05Speaker 3: So you know, it's one thing to shout out like
- 59:06Speaker 3: a different type of weed. Hey I'm smoking this, Like
- 59:09Speaker 3: that's cool, but to say, hey, my guy guarantees touchdowns
- 59:13Speaker 3: and boom boom BOMs.
- 59:14Speaker 2: You need your boxes.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Make sure you follow so and so bro like they
- 59:17Speaker 1: always touch down, trust me.
- 59:19Speaker 4: I know.
- 59:19Speaker 2: So three things.
- 59:20Speaker 3: One, if I was still trapping the Golden Rules, you
- 59:23Speaker 3: don't even talk about that shit like that, right.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Two, you don't know.
- 59:28Speaker 3: Who the fuck you're validating. You might be validating someone
- 59:32Speaker 3: that's got some crazy shit.
- 59:33Speaker 1: So one can give you twenty five hundred dollars and
- 59:35Speaker 1: a half a pounds a week for you stamping, who
- 59:38Speaker 1: knows who the fuck they are?
- 59:39Speaker 3: Yeah, so you know, artists find deals that are a
- 59:42Speaker 3: little more pure, like maybe you get paid to stamp
- 59:45Speaker 3: a different genetic or you get paid to.
- 59:47Speaker 2: Endorse some brand.
- 59:48Speaker 3: But like going back to a whole strained thing, like
- 59:50Speaker 3: a strainer is only good if you have someone that
- 59:53Speaker 3: can consistently grow good and could you know, help make
- 59:57Speaker 3: it tangible in other markets.
- 59:59Speaker 2: And I think but the problem is that a lot.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Of people get in the week game have one never
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: sold weed, two don't understand the weat industry, and three
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: don't really have enough patience to see it through. They
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: get paid a little bit of bread the biggest thing. Yeah,
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: they get paid a little bit of bread. They put
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: their brand on the shelf, they get a line for
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: the first drop, and then they're not following up.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: And a lot of artists are so.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Fucking get seated with their Instagrams that they won't even
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: post the shit the way they're supposed to. They're like
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: want to post like pictures of their chest and their.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: Their jewelry, fucking worried about their Instagram you know. Personestic Yeah,
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: like you're a static bro. You got a brand.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: It's like, dude, like all right, So you know, I
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: feel like if you're going to try to get in
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: the we game. Understand what the week game is. First
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: of all, Right, like I've been smoking weed forever. I've
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: been in this game legally for like twenty one years already,
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: so I have an unfair advantage of understanding what's going to.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Work and what won't.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: You know, the perfect idea of a celebrity brand that
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: worked is air Cup I do, and I'm gonna tell
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: you why it worked because one, she took her time.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: I tried to approach her many years ago. She wasn't
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: ready yet. She took her time to learn to understand
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: the weed business. She took her time to understand the
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: weed culture, right. She took her time to wait for
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: a genetic that stood out, that made sense, that was different.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: She told me what kind of genetics she wanted. I
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: told her, I said, Sis, we can give you something
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: that's ready already. We can start breeding and try to
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: find something that's that's really gonna check those boxes for you.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: She said, take your time, I'm in no rush. And
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: so it took two years and we present her with Flour,
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: which is like, is a lemon Cello cross that I
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: really really really like?
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: Right? So Erica has a real genetic right.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: Erica took time to understand the business, understands, you know,
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: the culture. She took time to develop her genetics right.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: She also is hands on as fuck, and that goes
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: back to what we talked about earlier. She's on every
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: single call, every single creative call. She's a part of
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: the design process. She's engaged. She's part of the store drops.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: She's part of like coming up with, you know, new
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: products and new names for products.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: She actually gives a fuck.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, we're supposed to go live
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: one day and promote one of the drops in the
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: new market. She said, burn it and fucked around and
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: he stop my live and shadow band my ass for posting.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: I said, you're Erica a bad dude. She said, I know.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: It ain't that a bit. It might be know what though,
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: you're putting in the work.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: And so Erica's brand worked because she understood the purpose
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: of it. She understands it's a medicine actually really connects people.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: She loves her, she loves her audience.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: It's not a lick.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: It's not a lick, but it's a lick. It's not
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: about money for her at all. We've never I could
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: be honest to say I've never discussed money with Eric
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: Abadu about her we business all everyone once. All we
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: talked about is it being great and resonating with the
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: people and it being everywhere that we can put it.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: And that's all she cared about, right, And so her
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: brand's going to continue to work, right, And we have
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: some really cool products with her outside the flower, we
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: got the mushroom tea with her, we got we got
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: this crazy ass other flower formula that's kind of like
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: a I think it's like a blue lotus or something
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: like that that gets you feeling super trippy. She's the
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: truth and like she took the time and put the
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: respect for the culture and for her audience to educate
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: them on what this actually is that she's selling anyone
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: else doing that shit?
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Did you ever anticipate the Gary Payton thing becoming such
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: a thing?
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: No where people were like wrapping about a smoking out
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: like Gary Payton, Like it's like was just a real
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: like staple.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Now it's just a bomb ass weed.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: Yeah, And Gary just made it like even cooler and
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: you know the whole story how And that's again, it's
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: an organic situation he's from Oakland, right, He's from Oakland.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: But like he didn't like, we didn't plan that out.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: That was just like happened random and organically as fu.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and then you see, I mean every basketball player
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: has got their own strain now.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: Yeah, but like again when Gary, he just trusts the process.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: Has like anybody, like a guy like Kevin Durant reached
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: out to you to try to kind of get some game,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: because I do see he's trying to get to the
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: week game a bit.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: I've chilled with Kevin hell of times. Yeah, yeah, you know,
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: like and I've smoked bubble Kevin. Now he's openly talking
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: about that, right, Yeah, he's openly talking about it because
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: now players can smoke.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: I've gotten big high with Kevin Durant and I fuck
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: with him a lot, and we have a game plan
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: for something to do. It just depends whether he still
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: wants to do it or not. But like I've sat
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: with him, I've smoked with him, I've kind of presented
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: a plan for him, and I foke with him because
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: he actually really smokes big Yeah.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: Yeah for Haiti gets big high.
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: Hey, we got to stop the interview to tell you

- 1:07:30Speaker 2: Big I just saw him recently and he was smoking.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: It was like in public too. I was like, oh,
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: you know, it's a give a fuck. I'm glad of you.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: Actually, that was one of the coolest people I've got
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: highway that I couldn't say it before, but yeah, I've
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: got a big.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Who's the coolest person you've gotten with? This has got
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: to be. I mean, you probably got on with everybody
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: at this point. Somebody sticks out where you're like, Wow,
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: I smoked with this person. That's fucking crazy.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: Dude, Dude to me, still be real, dude, Like I
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: almost gonna be honest, like be real.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: Is a guy?
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: Yeah, and he gets he gets really high, and like
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: when I see him, it's like a reunion of like,
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: here's the flavors I've been fucking with, here's the flavors
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: he's been fucking with. We're just rolling back to back
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: and you know, I just this childhood goal ship. It's
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: also like he's a legendary weed man too, you know
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: these years, so like my favorite person.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: You know I've gotten high with this be real straight up?
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Yeah, be real? Obviously tell me how because you was
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: this Snoop Wiz tour. Was this your biggest tour you've done,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: or one of them. At least it felt like one
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: of the biggest. I think it was still because everyone
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: was canceling their tours and the tour dates.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: Yeah, no one wanted to mention that the Snoop Dogg,
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: Whiz Khalif a two short, More and G and Burner
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: tour sold out in every.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Market like and in a time where nobody was selling
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: out shows, everybody.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: Was everyone was canceling.
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: And the coolest thing about this tour for me was
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: I got the opening slot right. It was DJL shout
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: to DJ Drama. Drama was there, Drama was there. He
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: put on, but like it was DJ Drama than me
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: and then be worn too short with Snoop. And when
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: I first got offered this show, I was like, fuck,
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: I got the opening slot about to be fucked.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: I'm like, fuck, yeah, because those opening slats of those
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: ampitheater shows could be they could be interesting.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Bro, I've seen it a hundred different ways too, I've
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: seen it.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: Yeah, But the best thing about this show was that
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: it was never like that. That bitch was eighty five
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: percent full every time I went on. There's videos the
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: whole tour. I go on to seven pm.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: That bitch is full rocking, nice grown, mature crowd getting
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: there early, young and grown. But they were there early
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: because they liked the lineup.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: They didn't want to miss They don't want to miss you,
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: they didn't want to miss me, they didn't want to
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: miss Warren g. They didn't want to miss too short.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: They wanted to see the whole show. And so you
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: know that that tour was life changing for me. I
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: thank Snoop so much for hand selecting that that lineup,
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: because he didn't hand select that lineup, and I feel
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: super grateful for that. I got a chance to bomb
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: with some of my you know, mentors and some of
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: the guys I grew up listening to and looking up to.
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: Got chance to show with the tailor game. You know,
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: that's family.
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: Me and Snoop got some deals coming out that that
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: tour that are pretty big. We got cookies by Cookies
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: coming soon under his food umbrella.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: So word cookies, buy cookies.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: Yeah, just snacks, good snacks like that non confused Palmart.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Baby yo for Snoop, like I feel like have you
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: because because when we think of weed and hip hop,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: we think I think it's Snoop and then I think
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: it is, and I think it'd be really I think
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: of you. But in terms of just like the general public,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: everyone thinks a Snoop dogg Right, you've done some weed
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: stuff with Snoop.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: For whatever reason, it feels like Snoop hasn't fully.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Cracked off into space in a way that you would
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: expect him to.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: I know you guys have done.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Stuff, but have you have you like helped Snoop out
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: at all in that.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: In that space we launched, we launched something together, did hella? Well,
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: the doggy bag killed it. I mean when we dropped
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: it and in LA the lines are down the block.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: We dropped it. In other markets, people loved it, was
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: a good genetic.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: But I think the thing with Snoop is that he's
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: way bigger than just focusing on a weed brand. He's
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: he's an international fucking icon. It's crazy.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I think he's I mean, always tells the people he's
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: the most famous rapper in the world.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: I think he's like famous people.
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: He's like the closest like and I say this this
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: may be a weird say he's like the closest guy
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: to Michael Jackson out there, Like he's knowing like Michael,
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: everyone knows who snooped dogs everybody. I don't care where
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: you go, you know who the dog is. You know
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: who the dog is. So I think that the dog.
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: I think that Soup loves weed. He's a fan of weed.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: He loves smoke good weed. I've gotten high with him
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: for years. He's a multiple brands. I think that he's
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: just so much bigger than trying to focus on a
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: weed brand. He's focused on like the food category now
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: with the ice cream and the cereal. Like, I think
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: he's focused on just like bigger plays that he didn't
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: really think he'd be able to do. You know when
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: he was younger, Snoop and I think that Walmart, Yeah,
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: like that. Yeah, I mean he's not only getting the Walmart,
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: he's opening the doors for other people, Like he didn't
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: have to open that door for me. That's why I
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: bought him the Rolex at the last day of the tour,
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: because I was like, you know, I don't even know
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: if he'll ever wear this watch, but like, I'm so
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: grateful that he opened up the door for me to
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: help normalize my myself as a household name, and by
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: introducing that partner to develop create cookies and to and
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: to actually distributing into places like Walmart. That's big as
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: fuck for me, and I'm grateful for that. And I
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: think that I told him that day. I said, you're
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: the only artist I know that gives back like this. Yeah,
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: you share your platform, you don't want nothing back. He
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: told me, Burn I'm simple. You could have brought me
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: a little bag, and we say, I know I could have,
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: but like, I wanted to give you this from the
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: heart because this is what you know in my world,
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: Like this is what I've always dreamed about being able
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: to do something like this, and like this tour a
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: bought a lot of happiness to my life in a
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: really dark time. And this tour gave me motivation to
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: keep making music. And it showed me that around the
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: country I'm respected all in different markets. I never thought
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: I would be. And shit, bro, like you opening up
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: big doors for us. So shout out to Snoop. He's
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: the only guy that actually really shares his platform and
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: gets back and gives opportunities to other artists when he
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: ain't got to do that shit at all.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: That's that's my role model, really, no Soup.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I always see him popping up on up and coming
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: artist shit too, Like just like just randomly, you'd be like, yeah,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Snoop's on like a Zoeld Simmer remix, so he's on
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: a Scarlet record, like and it's just like, oh he's
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: not only is he like you know, he's just tapped
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: in and I feel like he's generous with his energy.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: Man, Man, that dude ain't gonta do that.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: Dude's caked up for sure, Suop Dog is caked up,
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: liquidly caked up, and like his money's not in equity wanted.
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: He's caked up for real, for real, and he don't
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: have to do none. That shit he's doing, he's doing
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: because he loves it. And that's the dope thing about
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: the dog.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: Have any of the like you.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: Know, like when we think of a guy like Diddy,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: or we think of a guy like oh, have you
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: had any discussions with those guys are all about maybe
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: just kind of gaming them up in terms of the space,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: because it is a space that you know, like you said,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: it helps to be somebody who came from that life,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: you know what I mean, someone who's a smoker, someone
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: who cares about the culture of cannabis, you know what
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: I mean.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: I've sat down with Diddy.
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: I had like really really cool like sit down with
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: him and had a good relationship with him personally. Dude's
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: a fucking legend, bro, He's an iconic dude for sure.
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: We actually had the opportunity to talk with jay Z
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: as well, and you know, it was a very it's
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: like a thirty minute call, but it was like goalshit.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: Talk was that just about just about just like cannabis
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: and like where cannabis is going.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: And he gave me a lot of game.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: You know, We're just were sharing thoughts about things and
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: that's kind of told them that, you know, like my
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: goal with this business is to leave it to my daughter,
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: but I would like to find a way to exit
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: one day and get some liquid. He actually get some
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: real cash, a couple hundred million bucks. Be cool, and
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: he gave me some more game on.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: How to do that.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: I'm grateful for that. I gave him some game. We
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: talked about doing something. He just never really moved like that.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: But like I was on the fucking zoom with jay Z.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: It was pretty cool. It's crazy, you know what I mean.
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: Like I'm pretty cool, you know, talked the whole salute
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: to him. I'm grateful for the game he gave me.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: I hope that he found the game. I gave him valuable.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: I'm here if they ever want to chop it up again.
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: You know, like gave Diddy some good game. He gave
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: me some good game. You know. So I feel blessed.
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: Like it's one thing to be on that list. I
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: even just sat down with doctor Dre belt before.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Really yeah, like face to face. Yeah, what was the
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: to face Dre meeting? Like crazy, because that's really for
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: someone to grow up with that.
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: I told you, I told you I would give you
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: gems on this.
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: I fuck with you. You're very consistent with like caring
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: about my story. But like, yeah, shout out to Slim
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: the Mobster Man. He made a call back.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: In the days yo, Slim the mobster fuck. He went
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: on aftermath.
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: He was in jail and he made a call and
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: from jail was on the phone, and.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: You know, I went and went to go sit down
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: with Dre. They was like not man here, man here.
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: It was like shooting me away. I was like, Slim,
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: I'm here, bro, I ain't tried. He said, hold on,
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: boom boom, boom, and I get let in and I
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: go sit down, and uh Andre sat down with me
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: and I and I showed him a jar of what
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: we wanted to call the Chronic and it was by
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: far the best looking weed we've ever produced. It was incredible, beautiful.
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: It was orange, purple, funky, stanky.
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: Just budd looked.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: It was like it looked like it was out of
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: a fucking movie. How good is we looked? I showed
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: him the Chronic and he was just like, yeah, I
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: fucked with it. And I appreciate Slim putting this play together,
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: and you know, we'll think about it, but like, I
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: don't know if I really want to kind of put
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: myself in the industry. And I got you know, he
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: told me, I got money money, and I don't really
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: want to play with that until you know, maybe it's
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: federally illegal.
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: I just don't want to risk it. I'm like, what
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: year is this?
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: This was like like three or four years ago?
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: Oh shit, so not too far not too long ago.
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: Yeah, And I said, I respect that, and I said,
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: kind of leave this with you for yourself, for those
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: who smoke. He's like for sure, And I got like
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: a nervous picture with him. Fred Reck took the picture
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: for me because he was there. Shott to fred Reck.
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: But yeah, I think it's cool that like being on
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: that hip hop list. I think it's cool because like
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: Dre saw me, he had to see you, like, oh,
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: let's I remember that guy he pitched me on this week.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: It's well, yeah, I guess it worked for him.
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: I think it's cool because I got a chance to
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: share moments with Diddy and I got a chance to
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: share moments with jay Z and the top four. Yeah,
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: and I didn't get I've never met.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: Kanye, you know, I don't know whatever.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: I have no opinion on that, but I'm just saying
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: it's cool because I've ran into all those guys and
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: I felt good for them to see me up there
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: because I told them what I wanted to do and
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: what I was building at the time.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: And now they see they see the list.
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: Oh shit, because the same guy that does their evaluation
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: and it's kind of making sure that you know their
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: their their network.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: Is credible and relevant is doing mine. So it's real.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: You know, I was gonna say, when that happens, what
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: is the whether it's the FORB or that list, what
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: is like the influx in people just in your DMS
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: or bothering you or all of a sudden trying to
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: fuck with you, it's got to be crazy.
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: It's crazy, bro, it's crazy. I'm not the answer to
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: anyone's problems. I promise you.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: We're just like I would just see people like like
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: posting that would just never ever like post about.
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: You or like even like acknowledge your music or what
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: you're doing, and.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: It's like, oh, now you know, now you know this
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: guy's on the cover of Forbes, and now you know you're.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: Fucking I mean, it's kind of cool. You Obviously, the
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: more successful you get, the more people are gonna come.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: To They're gonna come, They're gonna come and like recognize game.
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: But like again, for me, it's just it's life goal shit.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: Because I grew up.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: Looking up to jay Z, I grew up looking up
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: to Diddy, who didn't right, grew up looking up to
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: Doctor Dre. Kanye is fucking No matter what anyone says
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: about the guy, he's a fucking He's a legend, bro genius.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: He's he's a smart guy.
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: He built he built out easy, hard, and so like
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: his school sitting next to those guys. It's cool to
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: like be acknowledged by the same guys that acknowledged him
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: on a wealth, you know, side of things. But like, fuck,
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: I just felt good when I came out. I was like, damn,
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: I was talked multiply these guys. I told what I
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: wanted to do. I think the coolest thing is, bro, I'm.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Just getting started.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: Yeah, like we just I can't say what, but Vibes
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: just locked.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: In something so big. No, the Vibes papers are going crazy.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: I feel like it's I mean, I feel like it's
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: very hard to take off the top dog, and I
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: feel like you guys have done a really good job
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: of like like if I go to any smoke shop
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: it used to be if I went.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: To a smoke shots shop and I saw Vibes, Oh
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: you guys got vibes, that's fucking sick. You know, Burner's
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: my friend. That's cool. It's everywhere.
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: Yeah, But like the play we just locked in for
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: Vibes is so next level, bro, Like and you know
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: you as we'll see it two years from now because.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: I probably won't be able to talk about it for
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: a while.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: But like it's one of those plays that like goes
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: down to history, bro, and so like I'm just getting started.
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: So if I made that list now, right, it's crazy
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: because this alone, yeah a beast of a business.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: Yeah, mibes just about a hit hard.
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: So like you know what, I feel like, Cookies is
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: nowhere close to where it's going to be, especially because
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: we haven't really added international as much as we could
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: possibly in the future.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: So it's crazy because you've dealt with so many uphill
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: battles in every single one of these spaces you're in,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: Like especially like I remember when you had the public
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: falling out with Josh Raw because it feels like if
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: I'm a guy who has a company that depends on
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: weed users and Burner comes into that space, I'm freaking
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: the fuck out because I know it's gonna work.
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: Yeah, well, especially like if by coming to that space,
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: I getting next to key players that actually make that business.
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: What's about to be? Because I started getting next to
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: everyone real quick, yeah, real quick. Like I didn't just
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: say white label of a rolling paper for me. I
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: went and found the best rolling paper producer. I went
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: and found the best specialty I them producer, like the
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: Cali the could you could have been lazy and did
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: with a lot of people would have then just white
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: label some ship. Yeah, yeah, we ain't doing none of that.
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: And so the fact that we start getting close to
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: real people I think made other rolling paper producers feel
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: their threat. But that threat shouldn't have been felled till
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: today because the document that came through my meal today
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: it's serious. Yeah, motherfuckers better feel that threat because I'm
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: coming for the top space and rolling paper business. And
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: I say that with confidence when my balls hanging down
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: to my feet right now, you know what I mean.
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: Where do you feel like the shrewd game's going?
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Because it feels like, at least on the black market,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: it's the new packs, it's the new it's the new
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: way to get margins, it's the new way to make
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: some fucking serious money. Is out extremely illegal to psulicibin,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: but in certain places like Oakley. I think San Francisco
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: now legal or decriminalized. I don't oh yeah, they don't
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: give a shit about that. I think Strooms is about.
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: To be a big wave.
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: I think it's gonna be just like the cannabis swen.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: Seems like the next thing that's about to get hoord
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: out quickly, get corny quickly.
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: You know, there's obviously.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: High medicinal purposes for it, especially for therapeutics space.
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: Like even without psilocybin, mushrooms are good for your body,
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: that good for your for your for your mind.
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: Because you have caps.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: You have caps, which is legal mushrooms that you could
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: go buy at any I mean, I'm assuming any cookies dispensary.
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: We actually got like a some kind of like.
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: Some kind of like not a war, but like some
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: kind of like some kind of acknowledgment in men's health
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: about caps. But I planned that seed where early caps.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: Right, because whenever psylicyber comes to be a thing, you
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: already have caps.
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: I already have caps, and you know, fucking I'll tell
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: you and whatever. But like we already have a bunch
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: of different like R and D going on with like
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: really you know, psilocybin style mushrooms and like just finding
- 1:23:11Speaker 3: the best, you know, the best type of mushroom and
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: you know, just kind of like doing our research on
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: a very small level in the background. So when that
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: time comes we cheat just like genetics, like.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's nothing, it's nothing different because there's penis envy, there's.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: Tidal waves, there's I mean there's a different strains that
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: do different things that hit you differently that'll give you
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: different emotional you know, reactions and visibilities.
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: And so you know, we're just we're slow playing that.
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: We got the legal side of mushrooms already on deck.
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: And they're really good for your sleep and really good
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: for your daytime, you know, I level, man, Yeah, they're
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: good for you know, for like the mind and being
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: sharp and when you know, recreational hits for psilocybin weren't
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: positioned to introduce it to be ready and in a
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: very good way with like purpose and like with good
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: quality products. But I think that psilocybin would just be
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: just like the canvas industry, All these chats.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: Are going to come in and try to fuck it up.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: They're kind of a I think that's actually happening right
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: now because I I saw I just watch a YouTube
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: video that someone's trying to trademark or copyright like psilocybin therapy,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: which is a weird thing to try to like, it's
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: it's some weirdo shit going on already in that space.
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: Fuck all that shit.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: I'm crazy, like like in your position right being in
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: so many different cities, so many different markets.
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: Do you ever have to deal with like any cause
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: I know right now there are lobbyists that are trying
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: to get the psilocybin shit passed through.
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: But do you ever have to.
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: Deal with like politicians or anybody who's like it, because
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: that's it feels like it feels like there's definitely gotta
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: be uh a agenda or lobby on both sides to
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: make it federally legal and or illegal, And it feels
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: like you.
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: Might have some sort of insight on what only like
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: im like in s certain markets, like when they're holding
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: back our license to open and store.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: I'll talk to like certain uh politicians and kind.
- 1:24:55Speaker 3: Of just say hey, like what's going on, Like we'd
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: love to build you and woo whooping get a chances
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: to say hello.
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: But I mean, bro, if I've ever invited to the
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: White House or if.
- 1:25:04Speaker 3: I'm ever invited somewhere around some of these lawmakers, I
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: would love to give my input.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: I'm gonna say, do you think federally it's gonna happen soon?
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: In terms of no, no, five years, ten years.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: I feel like I don't know why one of these
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: fucking cocksuckers running for president doesn't just fucking say, guys,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna make weed league.
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: Because there's too many old people. Position presidents are just puppets.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: It's just fucking crazy.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: You would think, like you you probably win the election,
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: just run that you're making weed legal and you get
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: a free fucking marijuana prisoners.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: It's crazy. They don't want to do that.
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: There's too much money behind keeping people locked up, and
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: there's too many old people with old thoughts and old
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: agendas in position. We need some of these guys to
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: kind of phase out and let the new generation take office.
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: I give it ten years. I think ten years.
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: I would love to be optimistic and say we can
- 1:25:54Speaker 3: go legal students, I can really build my business away.
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: It should be built, and we can get really these
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: weird ass laws like two eighty and ship. But I
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: don't see it happening anytime soon. That's why I spread
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: my wings really hard and stay relevant and many other ways.
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: Give me your top five rappers ever. Pock Uh.
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: Bone Thugs is a group Crazy Bone trying for crazy
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: Bone right now.
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: Definitely Ship. This is tough. I'm biased, man, I'm fucking
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: I'm an old school dog.
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: I mean, snoop, you got pock Bone Snoop. I mean
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: biggies in there for sure. And fuck, dude, this is tough.
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: I'm so old school man, I'm so old school when
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: it comes to music. Uh.
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: Fuck, I don't get ridiculed for this list. Fifth person bro, DMX,
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: DMX and you got to work with DMX Yeah for
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: the best, which is crazy.
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: I related to his ship a lot. Now there's a
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: bunch of people I should have said politically and whatever,
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: but that's just what comes to my head right out
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: what I'm listening to right now.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: You didn't do the political Bay Area rapper of throwing there.
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: That's his own list, you know, that's his own list.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: Fuck you know the jacka.
- 1:27:27Speaker 3: The jacka Mac dra for sure, E forty san Quin
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: and I mean, bro, you got to give two shortest.
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: Probably too short. Yeah, yeah, it's crazy.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: I feel like people who aren't from the Bay will
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: never quite understand Mac.
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: Dre or san Quinn Quinn or even the Jack of
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: the Jacker.
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: That's one number one Bay Area You know, I'm one
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: of his biggest fans, but the sand Quin is probably
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: one of the best rappers out this out the Bay,
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: I think out the West Coast. He just never got
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: a chance to sean like that on a very very
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: major level, but like Quinn showed that heat to this day.
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: Yeah for sure. Now I think it's crazy because I
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: had that talk with.
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: Somebody else from debate that I won't mention, but we're
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: we're kind of talking about how like, like I understand
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: why mac dre is important. I understand, you know, I
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: also understand from what a lot of people told me
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: that people didn't really in terms of the streets funck
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: with him and like like at least his error shit
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: until he passed.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: It was more like some Berkeley ship.
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: And then once he passed, people kind of really truly
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: appreciated what he did.
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: All right, man, Well, hey before we go, can you
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: give me the last time we hung out?
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: You gave me.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: O G. H.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: Burner in the in the what I figured? What happened?
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: You're afraid you were gonna get robbed in the mountains
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: of Humble County. That shit went super viral. Let's dive
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: back fifteen years, twenty years. Burn give me the another
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: random just storytime with Bernard. Give me a crazy story
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: about a situation that might have been dicey back in
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: the day.
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: It could have been in Humble County. It could have
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: been in the streets in San Francisco.
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: Give me, give me a little ancdot, a little tidbit,
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: man before we go.
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: Well, I guess a good one would be I let
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: someone handle something for me one time. And you know,
- 1:29:32Speaker 3: I just I felt to him my gut, that wouldn't
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: be the right move. I said, bro, like, be it
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: very attentive. These guys are kind of like, these guys
- 1:29:39Speaker 3: are kind of shifting, and I don't think they're gonna
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: rob you by gunpoint, but I feel like some's gonna
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: go wrong. So you know, I'm gonna let you handle
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: this because I'm not around, but like, be very attentive
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: to what happens.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: He's like, for sure, I got you.
- 1:29:50Speaker 3: So he goes to meet up with this guy in
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: the hotel and he gives him the bags in a
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: double bag, and the guy gives him the money.
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: The money's vacuum.
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: Sealed, and you know it looks right, hundreds on top
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: and whatever, and there was two vacuum seal bags. And
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: kind of made a joke like what you don't trust
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: me want to count here? You really want to count
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: it out here.
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: I got to do, I got to move.
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: I gotta go boxes up and get him out of here.
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: And was like, yeah, you know he's a bro. At
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: least bus open one, you can count it real quick.
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: And the dude opened up for him with the vacuum
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: seal back and hand him a stack and counted through
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: the whole stack.
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: It's all hunters. Boom boom boom.
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: Cool put it back and he's like, bro, I gotta go,
- 1:30:26Speaker 3: I gotta move, you know what I mean.
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: Boom.
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: My boy takes off, gets where he's going, opens up
- 1:30:32Speaker 3: the vacuum seals and the rest of all the stacks
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: are just one hundred on.
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: Top of all ones. Oh, and I'm like.
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: He calls me and tells me, like, bro, you really
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: let this man pull out the stack and count it
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: for you. Like I mean, he didn't count it for him,
- 1:30:45Speaker 3: but you really let him open that pack up and
- 1:30:49Speaker 3: probably you let him give you the right corner stack.
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: He didn't go through anything else. He's like, bro, he's.
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: Moving so fast. He was nervous. It was just seems shady.
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: He was opening up the packs and starts smiling the room.
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: I just want to get out of there with all
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: that bread. And I was worried about getting robbed when
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: I left. I might, but you're worried about getting robed
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: when you left. But you got robbed right there. He's
- 1:31:07Speaker 3: calling the Dukes phones for DU's phones out of service?
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: How much? How much money we're talking. I don't even
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: remember at the time.
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: It was like probably like sixteen years ago or something
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: like that, but I just know my boy got fucked
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: big time and it fell on him. I'm like, bro,
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: you were there to handle it. You were there to
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: count the bread. I told you what to do. He
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: didn't do it, So that's all you got to eat.
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: That fucking hell. Yeah, he never claimed me back for it.
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: But that was a random one.
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: So for all them bad boys out there, if someone
- 1:31:35Speaker 3: comes with a neatly stack of hundreds, all flattened out,
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: perfect in the vacuum self, go through it.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: Yeah, you should never just take the vacuum seal of money.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Just open it up, make sure it's that it's.
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: I mean, you're already somewhere doing the deals. I mean,
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: you're already invested in this situation, counted out. So you know,
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: that's just a good old story that happened. Someone pulled
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: a slick one of my little homie and a little
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: homie is supposed to make.
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: Me back, but he did not.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: The crazy shit is like right now in downtown La
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: It's it's it's the wild wild West. Like, if you're
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: downtown and you live in a high rise, I guarantee
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: you there was a trapper on your floor. And if
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: you see guys moving around with tons of luggage all
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: the time, they're not traveling.
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: LA is wild right.
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: Now, Rappers, stop shouting out these these trap guys, man,
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: let them, let them build it or getting following. This
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: shit is crazy, fucking snitching dude, dog, It's like, yeah,
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: it's crazy man.
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: Well look man, obviously, uh people can go.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: I mean you got When's in New Mexico opening a

- 1:32:55Speaker 2: you guys are fucking front and center. Yeah, they've been
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: a great party.

- 1:33:27Speaker 3: No, it's a collab with a pretty big brand, relevant brand.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: And why do you guys stop doing denim? Or is
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: it you guys not do it as much because you're
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: a big gene guy.
