- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 2: On air, on air, on.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I don't want to break it to you, but if
- 0:11Speaker 1: you're planning your fit today, it's going to be even hotter.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Highs in the upper 90s. 110 inland, Sisney and Tanya,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and good morning.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I'm in the back room. Michaela, are you still single?
- 0:24Speaker 4: I still am.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Bella, are you still getting credit at USC for being here?
- 0:31Speaker 4: I'm not, actually.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't know that.
- 0:33Speaker 5: No.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's a paid internship.
- 0:35Speaker 3: No, they get paid.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:36Speaker 5: What?
- 0:36Speaker 1: That's not an internship. That's not earning your stripes.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. We didn't get paid. That's a bunch of.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Ruby?
- 0:43Speaker 4: How are you? I am still here. Okay, good.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Nice to know. Still driving, yeah. Sunshine and heat. 90s,
- 0:50Speaker 1: 110 inland. Wow. It's crazy. So, Tanya Sisfini.
- 0:54Speaker 5: What? Oh, no.
- 0:55Speaker 1: You know, I've been doing yoga.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I didn't know you were doing yoga.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Oh, I've been Yoga-ing. I'm not a yogi. I'm not
- 1:02Speaker 1: like that zen-y about it.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Like all summer?
- 1:05Speaker 1: The last four weeks. So I just want to stretch
- 1:08Speaker 1: it out.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I need to relieve the tension. I want the central
- 1:11Speaker 1: nervous system to have a little relief, and that's what
- 1:13Speaker 1: they say it does. So anyway, I got my mat.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I roll it up. I had the Velcro thing. I
- 1:17Speaker 1: roll into the class. Guess what happened to me last night?
- 1:20Speaker 1: I do it five or six.
- 1:21Speaker 3: You passed gas in class.
- 1:23Speaker 6: No.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:24Speaker 1: That's usually in a massage. Yeah. The teacher, what do
- 1:29Speaker 1: they call it? Instructor.
- 1:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 1: She says, welcome to your practice today. I don't know
- 1:33Speaker 1: why she calls it a practice. No, they do. I'm
- 1:36Speaker 1: not practicing anything. I'm just wanting to get stressed out.
- 1:37Speaker 3: You practice yoga. That's what you're practicing.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I'm not practicing it. I'm just doing it. That's how,
- 1:41Speaker 1: that's the lingo. I'm not practicing for a big match.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that's like what they say.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Like, it's like, it's the lingo.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I know what they say. They say it to me.
- 1:47Speaker 1: And she said to me, in front of the class,
- 1:49Speaker 1: she went around the class and asked the question, well,
- 1:52Speaker 1: how is everybody? Okay, we're going to go around the room.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I'm going to find out the answers to these questions. Ryan.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I don't want to be called out.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I hate being called out in class.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I don't want to be called. Don't call on me.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I'm supposed to be relaxing my central nervous system. And
- 2:08Speaker 1: here comes it ignited. She says, well, what are you celebrating?
- 2:12Speaker 1: What are you navigating?
- 2:13Speaker 3: What are you navigating?
- 2:15Speaker 1: Like what? First of all, personal. What am I celebrating?
- 2:20Speaker 1: What am I navigating? Now I'm trying to think of
- 2:22Speaker 1: what's the response I should say in front of these
- 2:24Speaker 1: people that are in this yoga class.
- 2:25Speaker 3: And do you have to project in front of the
- 2:26Speaker 3: whole class?
- 2:27Speaker 4: No, but this is so good because it helps you
- 2:29Speaker 4: channel your practice into one like thought.
- 2:32Speaker 1: No, it was thoroughly embarrassing. I did not want to
- 2:35Speaker 1: be called on. I was put on the spot. I
- 2:37Speaker 1: am a shy yogi.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I wouldn't have liked this either at all.
- 2:41Speaker 1: So I didn't know what to say.
- 2:42Speaker 3: What did you say?
- 2:43Speaker 1: This morning, coffee is a celebration for me. And I'm navigating.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I said I'm navigating units of time on a daily basis.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Silence in the room.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's a weird response.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I was judged by the yogis. Yeah, I know. At
- 2:56Speaker 1: the end, she says it's a no judgment zone. I
- 3:00Speaker 1: was judged from the gate. What would you say? What
- 3:04Speaker 1: am I now? Then she went around the room. People
- 3:05Speaker 1: like my new era. Oh, my God. Essence. Essence. Essence.
- 3:12Speaker 5: What?
- 3:12Speaker 1: What are people essence in? Who's celebrating essence? I don't
- 3:15Speaker 1: even know what that means.
- 3:16Speaker 3: You're judging other people now.
- 3:18Speaker 1: She asked the question and went.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Around the room.
- 3:21Speaker 3: It was a judging setup.
- 3:23Speaker 1: So I don't know what to do. Do I go back?
- 3:25Speaker 5: No.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Or you can tell her, just don't call on me.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I just want to be quiet.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Who calls on people in class that are adults? You
- 3:32Speaker 1: don't call on adults who are paying for a class.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Unless they're saying good job. Like, I love that. Hey, great.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Great lunch, Sissany. That's good. Hold it. That type of
- 3:40Speaker 3: stuff I'm okay with. I don't want to answer a question.
- 3:43Speaker 1: No calling on adults paying for classes, please. What would
- 3:46Speaker 1: you say you're celebrating, Sisini?
- 3:49Speaker 3: My kids being back at school today, finally.
- 3:51Speaker 1: What are you navigating?
- 3:54Speaker 3: Navigating alone time.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Oh, that's fair. Tanya, what were you celebrating?
- 4:01Speaker 4: I'm still celebrating three nights opening up for the Jonas Brothers.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Really?
- 4:05Speaker 1: So you'd be stared at. You'd be stared at like
- 4:07Speaker 1: I was.
- 4:08Speaker 4: I wouldn't even care. Bring on the judgment.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I don't know why I care.
- 4:11Speaker 6: I care.
- 4:12Speaker 1: So what?
- 4:12Speaker 3: I care.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I'm not ashamed to care what people think in that
- 4:14Speaker 1: yoga room when I said that. What were you navigating?
- 4:18Speaker 4: I'm navigating trying to have a baby, which is quite
- 4:22Speaker 4: the navigation.
- 4:23Speaker 1: This is an odd conversation to have about yoga.
- 4:25Speaker 3: It's a lot of work.
- 4:26Speaker 4: It's a lot of work.
- 4:27Speaker 1: All right. Well, we'll get you out.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Of here on time.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Robbie, she's ready for you.
- 4:33Speaker 3: 1030, Robbie.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Do what you got to do.
- 4:38Speaker 3: I got to remember those days. It's like every day.
- 4:44Speaker 1: You know, on the other side, it's like not every day.
- 4:47Speaker 1: It's like lucky on a third Friday of the month.
- 4:49Speaker 3: That's true. Some people get lucky like that.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Olivia Rodrigo, Ryan Seacrest, Cicely Tanya, the back room. Today
- 4:57Speaker 1: is Wednesday, August 26th. Oh, I just start thinking about
- 5:01Speaker 1: Labor Day. Yeah.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Are we off on Labor Day, Mark? We're off on
- 5:06Speaker 1: Labor Day itself, yes. We are. Did I know that?
- 5:10Speaker 1: Also this year, it's the latest possible Labor Day.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I noticed that.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It's like September 7th or something. Let's barbecue our tips
- 5:17Speaker 1: and eat our potato wedges then, Tanya.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Oh, Tanya, what is it you're refusing to do? Tell everybody.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Okay, so I told you guys I went to New
- 5:26Speaker 4: York and I noticed something that I refuse to do
- 5:31Speaker 4: on planes that my husband just does so willy-nilly. The
- 5:35Speaker 4: minute that you get into the air and they say,
- 5:37Speaker 4: you can unbuckle your seatbelts, do your thing, whatever, he
- 5:40Speaker 4: hits the button on the side of the chair and
- 5:42Speaker 4: he reclines his seat. I cannot do it. Even though
- 5:46Speaker 4: it's so much more comfortable for me to recline, I
- 5:49Speaker 4: just can't do it. And I'm like, but why can't.
- 5:52Speaker 3: I do it?
- 5:53Speaker 1: Because you're being respectful of other people's space behind you.
- 5:57Speaker 1: The compromise is simple. turn around and ask them, do
- 6:01Speaker 1: you mind if I, if you have enough space, if
- 6:03Speaker 1: I recline my seat or if it's too far, let
- 6:05Speaker 1: me know.
- 6:05Speaker 3: That's actually a happy medium. That's not bad.
- 6:07Speaker 1: That's the way to do it. And most people, most
- 6:09Speaker 1: people are going to say, no, no problem.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Right.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Some people, that creates awkwardness. If they say no, now
- 6:16Speaker 1: there's tension. The whole flight.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's so awkward.
- 6:19Speaker 4: I'd rather just not even ask.
- 6:20Speaker 3: By the way, reclining for me is just uncomfortable. I
- 6:23Speaker 3: like being more straight up.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 6:25Speaker 3: Yeah, because I'm just too short. Like, if I recline back,
- 6:27Speaker 3: then I'm just like.
- 6:28Speaker 1: You need a footstool. Yeah, exactly.
- 6:29Speaker 3: It's not comfy.
- 6:30Speaker 4: By the way, you can get those on Amazon. They're
- 6:32Speaker 4: like these little things that you attach to the bottom
- 6:34Speaker 4: of the seat in front of you.
- 6:36Speaker 1: So your feet can sit on something?
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yes!
- 6:38Speaker 3: Man, that's weird.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Holiday gifts for Sistine Ryan.
- 6:43Speaker 4: It's an amazing gift for people, by the way.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I just think, don't make yourself stay in a state of,
- 6:50Speaker 1: if you want to put it back and not put
- 6:51Speaker 1: it back, just ask the person, do you mind if
- 6:53Speaker 1: I recline?
- 6:54Speaker 4: It's the people pleaser in me. I just do stuff
- 6:56Speaker 4: to not ruffle feathers, and I hate that.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Do you still go to that professional every month or week?
- 7:02Speaker 3: I don't do it weekly. I probably see her like, oh,
- 7:04Speaker 3: the one that spits on your head or something?
- 7:07Speaker 4: Him, I only stayed seen once in my life.
- 7:09Speaker 3: See how that was him? Like she knew who I.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Was talking about.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Remember I went to that guru?
- 7:13Speaker 1: Oh, that's what it was. He spit on your head?
- 7:14Speaker 4: He didn't spit. He didn't spit on my head. He
- 7:16Speaker 4: spit into a tin that was on top of my head.
- 7:23Speaker 1: It was cleansing me.
- 7:23Speaker 4: He was cleansing me.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Okay. No.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Yes. Do you see what we're dealing with?
- 7:30Speaker 1: Did you believe him?
- 7:32Speaker 4: Yes. He said I had an evil eye on me
- 7:34Speaker 4: and he was getting rid of the evil eye.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Of course he did. You know, when you've got an
- 7:38Speaker 1: evil eye, I need to hop one on you.
- 7:40Speaker 3: And it was in his apartment.
- 7:42Speaker 4: I had friends that have gone and knew him. So
- 7:44Speaker 4: it's not like a stranger that I found on like Craigslist.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I would question those friends. No spitting, please.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Don't knock until you try it.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Oh, there'll be a Netflix documentary on the LA tin
- 8:00Speaker 1: spitter one day. Oh my gosh, I survived that. Watch
- 8:05Speaker 1: for it.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Right. He's like, oh, she's too public. I'm going to pass.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not going to do it, but I normally do.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Check my fridge.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I spit out my water. Don't look in the tin
- 8:24Speaker 1: spitter's fridge. Bruno Mars. The yoga instructor asked me, what
- 8:32Speaker 1: am I celebrating? Put me on the spot in the class.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I could tell you the answer to a lot of
- 8:36Speaker 1: people answering that question is going to be celebrating the
- 8:39Speaker 1: kids are back to school. Thank above.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Finally. I mean, this, for whatever reason, seemed like the
- 8:47Speaker 3: longest summer of my life.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Going into summer, I have friends that are parents.
- 8:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:55Speaker 1: And I'm always taken aback by some of the things
- 8:58Speaker 1: that we get to talk about. And I'm always thrilled
- 9:00Speaker 1: that I get home and don't have kids.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Why?
- 9:02Speaker 5: Why?
- 9:04Speaker 1: Because of the stuff we talk about.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:07Speaker 1: It's a lot of that. I was so looking forward
- 9:10Speaker 1: to summer and then I couldn't get out of it
- 9:12Speaker 1: soon enough because the kids are making me crazy.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Oh yeah. Beginning of summer, I'm like, oh, we're going
- 9:18Speaker 3: to go to the beach every Friday and we're going
- 9:20Speaker 3: to do this and we're going to do that and
- 9:22Speaker 3: we'll kick it off for the first few weeks. Like
- 9:23Speaker 3: that kind of feeling. And then after 4th of July,
- 9:26Speaker 3: you're like, okay, okay. And they were supposed to start
- 9:29Speaker 3: school on Monday this week. And then we get an
- 9:31Speaker 3: email from the school saying, oh so sorry um the
- 9:35Speaker 3: construction that we were doing is not like yeah it's
- 9:39Speaker 3: and so we need to postpone the first day to
- 9:41Speaker 3: go until.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Wednesday but the kids.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Were thrilled oh they were thrilled they had like you
- 9:45Speaker 3: know two extra days of summer and i made the
- 9:48Speaker 3: most of it i think like monday night since that
- 9:50Speaker 3: was like their last summer night um i we were
- 9:53Speaker 3: having dinner and they were already in their pajamas and
- 9:55Speaker 3: after we're done with dinner i was like do you
- 9:57Speaker 3: guys want to go to menchie's and they thought it
- 9:59Speaker 3: was like the craziest thing ever. And I was like,
- 10:02Speaker 3: don't change. We'll go in our PJs.
- 10:04Speaker 1: That's mom wanting to go to Menchie's. That's what I love.
- 10:06Speaker 1: That's you wanting that and they're your excuse to do it. Exactly.
- 10:10Speaker 3: No, it was really fun though. It was like a
- 10:12Speaker 3: fun final of last night of summer memory with the
- 10:15Speaker 3: whole family. But yeah, they're back today. They are back
- 10:18Speaker 3: in school today.
- 10:19Speaker 1: If you're a parent and your kids go back to school,
- 10:23Speaker 1: I know you don't do it, but do you dream
- 10:25Speaker 1: of just darting through the house naked for a few hours?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Sure. I dream of it. You wouldn't do it because
- 10:33Speaker 1: you got to go to work, but I would dream
- 10:34Speaker 1: of it. You know, I don't have kids. I love
- 10:38Speaker 1: to be around my niece for a few hours.
- 10:39Speaker 3: A few hours. It's real.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I was with her over summer. You know, I live
- 10:47Speaker 1: by myself. Got my own house rules.
- 10:49Speaker 5: My house.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Got my rules.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Oh, and she was at your house?
- 10:52Speaker 1: She was at my place.
- 10:53Speaker 5: Uh-huh.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Put my feet up on the table at the dinner
- 10:58Speaker 1: after the food was served. Feet are on the table. Mom,
- 11:02Speaker 1: Uncle Ry-Ry's feet are on the table.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Yeah, why are your feet on the table?
- 11:05Speaker 1: It's gross. My table. I do it sometimes. It wasn't
- 11:09Speaker 1: near food, but it's my thing, my table. So why
- 11:12Speaker 1: are you telling on me? Mom, his feet are on
- 11:15Speaker 1: the table. It's my table. I'm allowed to put, tell
- 11:19Speaker 1: your daughter I can put my feet on my table. Well, Ryan,
- 11:22Speaker 1: that's not a good example. What do you mean it's
- 11:24Speaker 1: not a good example? It's my table. I wouldn't put
- 11:27Speaker 1: it on your table. I can put, don't put your,
- 11:30Speaker 1: then she wouldn't put her feet on the table. So
- 11:32Speaker 1: I said, fine, put your feet on the table. And
- 11:34Speaker 1: then her mom said, no, you can't do that. I said,
- 11:35Speaker 1: it's my table. She can put her feet, I can
- 11:38Speaker 1: put my feet. Put your feet up, everybody's feet on
- 11:40Speaker 1: the table. Like, live a little bit. So rigid.
- 11:43Speaker 5: Oh.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Gosh, this parenting thing is so tough, so rigid.
- 11:47Speaker 3: It's so funny.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Coming up next at Kiss FM, the most stressful amount
- 11:51Speaker 1: of kids to have, speaking of them. You want to
- 11:53Speaker 1: know the number? It's not 12.
- 11:54Speaker 3: I feel like it's going to be mine.
- 11:56Speaker 1: All right, it's Kiss FM. I got a quote of
- 11:57Speaker 1: the day, and also I just read this article. It's
- 11:59Speaker 1: in my algorithm. According to a new survey of over
- 12:02Speaker 1: 7,000 moms, the most stressful number of kids to have
- 12:07Speaker 1: are three. Three. How are you doing, Sisney?
- 12:11Speaker 4: I'm fine.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Everything's fine.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Three kids are the tipping point 7,000 moms were quoted. What?
- 12:18Speaker 3: Come on.
- 12:18Speaker 1: For stress. I thought you'd want to know.
- 12:22Speaker 3: More than like four or five. After that, it doesn't
- 12:24Speaker 3: really matter.
- 12:25Speaker 1: After that, they can't keep track. Three, they're still on
- 12:27Speaker 1: the radar.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Four or five, everyone for themselves. Today's quote, the world
- 12:32Speaker 1: around you is beautiful. When the world within you is peaceful.
- 12:37Speaker 1: This is KISS. 102.7 KISS FM. Well, major news yesterday breaking.
- 12:45Speaker 1: And sad news. She was so beloved. An institution. Dolly
- 12:50Speaker 1: Parton passed away yesterday. Sisney's got details on that. KISS
- 12:55Speaker 1: FM headlines with Sisney.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, the world is remembering Dolly Parton and
- 13:00Speaker 3: tributes poured in last night, including a special pink illumination
- 13:05Speaker 3: on Pacific Park's Ferris wheel in Santa Monica, as well
- 13:09Speaker 3: as the Empire State Building in New York turned pink.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Dolly was 80 and passed away in Nashville after a
- 13:15Speaker 3: brief battle with cancer. In other news, a pickup truck
- 13:19Speaker 3: spilled thousands of cheese balls on the westbound 105 in
- 13:23Speaker 3: Linwood yesterday, and some drivers actually stopped to try to
- 13:26Speaker 3: steal some. An L.A. City Council committee advanced measures that
- 13:30Speaker 3: would increase penalties for the lineage warehouse and make it
- 13:34Speaker 3: harder to rebuild at the Boyle Heights site. And Burning
- 13:38Speaker 3: Man starts on Sunday. Organizers are warning anyone heading out
- 13:42Speaker 3: to the desert to avoid Reno as the Hawk Fire
- 13:45Speaker 3: burns nearby.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Love it that you were here. Good luck getting through it.
- 13:51Speaker 1: If you got something difficult to get through today, just
- 13:53Speaker 1: get it done. Best to be direct and deliberate. Mikayla,
- 13:57Speaker 1: before I give away the Dodger tickets, so you're dating,
- 14:00Speaker 1: you're out there, you're in the flow of it. Yes.
- 14:02Speaker 1: You're in the social flow, the rhythm of L.A.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Dating.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Now, what's the red flag question you have for us?
- 14:08Speaker 6: So, my friend is actually seeing this guy. She's been
- 14:11Speaker 6: seeing him for like five months.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Wow, that's long.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Long.
- 14:15Speaker 6: But our friend group hasn't met him yet, and he
- 14:17Speaker 6: always has an excuse, so... Is this a red flag?
- 14:21Speaker 6: Why doesn't he want to meet us?
- 14:22Speaker 4: Weird.
- 14:23Speaker 1: He doesn't want to meet the friends?
- 14:25Speaker 6: He always has an excuse. He has a work event, birthday,
- 14:28Speaker 6: work late, tired.
- 14:29Speaker 4: But maybe it's not an excuse. Maybe it's legit.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Do you tell your friend that's a red flag that
- 14:36Speaker 1: he's avoiding her friends?
- 14:38Speaker 6: We have, yeah. And we already kind of don't like
- 14:41Speaker 6: him that much because.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Oh, well, then he knows that.
- 14:43Speaker 3: That's what it is.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Bingo.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Yeah, he must know that.
- 14:46Speaker 3: She told that to him.
- 14:47Speaker 1: He says, if you are dating, how do you do it?
- 14:53Speaker 1: How do you put on my shoes? She told him,
- 14:59Speaker 1: my friends say this or question this, but I told
- 15:02Speaker 1: him you're not like that. So he knows you're already
- 15:05Speaker 1: judging him. He doesn't want to face the panel.
- 15:09Speaker 6: You think?
- 15:10Speaker 1: Totally. No, I know. And why don't you like him?
- 15:13Speaker 1: Why don't your friends like him?
- 15:14Speaker 3: So she is.
- 15:16Speaker 6: Kind of the planner. Like if she didn't plan the dates,
- 15:18Speaker 6: pick the nights they're going out, they wouldn't be dating.
- 15:21Speaker 6: She does everything.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And you tell her this.
- 15:23Speaker 6: And I tell her this. Yeah. I'm like, I don't
- 15:25Speaker 6: know if he's even into you.
- 15:28Speaker 1: She's probably conveyed some of this. And he might know
- 15:31Speaker 1: that he's like this and doesn't want to be faced
- 15:33Speaker 1: with the truth of you guys telling him he's like this. So...
- 15:38Speaker 1: I think time will tell. If he's not a good guy,
- 15:41Speaker 1: if he's not good to her, it will end up
- 15:43Speaker 1: working itself out. So just sit back and don't worry
- 15:46Speaker 1: about it. In the meantime, forget about who she's dating.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Who are you dating?
- 15:50Speaker 6: Hey, I want to meet his friends. He can bring
- 15:52Speaker 6: his friends, his single friends.
- 15:56Speaker 1: When all of my friends were single and one got
- 15:59Speaker 1: a girlfriend, that was our first question always. Got any
- 16:03Speaker 1: hot friends, bro? Dude, you got a hot roommate, bro? Yeah.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Right?
- 16:10Speaker 1: It's always like, does she have a roommate? Let's go.
- 16:11Speaker 1: It was like the dream.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Two roommates dating two roommates in the valley. That was it.
- 16:17Speaker 1: That was our series. The best. Roommates dating roommates in
- 16:19Speaker 1: the valley. That's funny. It's true. Tanaz will tell you.
- 16:23Speaker 4: You dated a roommate.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I dated one of my roommates. His name was not Tanaz.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Yes, we know.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Her name was Tiffany.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Those are the good old days. We threw parties. And
- 16:35Speaker 1: for the party, we went to, what was his name? Mr.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Wong's or something. Chinese restaurant in the mall, the shopping mall,
- 16:41Speaker 1: to borrow his ice because he had that great ice.
- 16:43Speaker 1: And we filled a trash can full of beer with
- 16:45Speaker 1: his ice.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Wow, that's very generous of him.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Mr. Wong is great. Neighbor Chinese restaurant.
- 16:50Speaker 4: You can have the good old days again, because when
- 16:53Speaker 4: you get married, you basically, you are roommates with your
- 16:56Speaker 4: wife and you.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Get to have all those fun times. You make it
- 16:58Speaker 1: sound so shiny, but no.
- 16:59Speaker 4: It's so fun.
- 17:00Speaker 3: You don't want to become roommates. That's a red flag.
- 17:04Speaker 4: But you know what I mean?
- 17:05Speaker 1: I don't. All right. Coming up next, Dodger tickets at
- 17:09Speaker 1: Kiss FM. There's a school here in Southern California. I
- 17:12Speaker 1: think it's in Fontana. They're calling it the Harry Potter
- 17:15Speaker 1: School here in Southern California. It's called Oak Grove Prep Academy.
- 17:20Speaker 1: It just opened, right? It's new?
- 17:22Speaker 3: Yeah, it just opened this month. It's a brand new school.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Ribbon cutting on the first day of school earlier this month.
- 17:27Speaker 3: It's a public school. Yeah, so they're comparing it to Hogwarts. Hogwarts.
- 17:31Speaker 3: the Harry Potter school from all the books and movies.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I never saw the movies. Okay.
- 17:36Speaker 4: So even if you don't, you're reminding you is not
- 17:39Speaker 4: going to do anything.
- 17:39Speaker 3: I have to tell you something.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I have been such an imposter. I have imposter syndrome.
- 17:44Speaker 1: You know, when people talk about Harry Potter or they
- 17:46Speaker 1: ask about Harry Potter, we make Harry Potter reference. I
- 17:48Speaker 1: always pretend to get the joke. I've never seen any
- 17:52Speaker 1: of them. I always act like, Oh, for sure, bro. Yeah.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Okay, well, I'll break it down easily for you. Even
- 18:00Speaker 3: if you know nothing about Harry Potter, that's basically how
- 18:03Speaker 3: this school works. So they're going to divide, they assign
- 18:07Speaker 3: you your own smaller team within the school that becomes
- 18:10Speaker 3: your crew. And then you earn points together. for things
- 18:13Speaker 3: like good grades, attendance, behavior, getting involved on campus, things
- 18:18Speaker 3: like that. And that's how basically the school works in
- 18:20Speaker 3: the books and movies. Students are divided into different houses
- 18:23Speaker 3: in the books. And then they become like, that's like
- 18:25Speaker 3: their family. That becomes their school family. And they compete
- 18:28Speaker 3: throughout the year to earn points. So that's why they're
- 18:30Speaker 3: kind of comparing it to like Harry Potter in that sense.
- 18:33Speaker 3: But I think it's really cool because they're They're leaning
- 18:37Speaker 3: more towards things that actually, in my opinion, matter. It's
- 18:39Speaker 3: actually very high tech. They've got labs, media, graphic design studios.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Well, that's what I'm getting at.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Classes in cybersecurity, coding, even ethical use of AI. And
- 18:52Speaker 3: so that is the conversation that's being had. Is this
- 18:55Speaker 3: a direction that schools need to go?
- 18:57Speaker 1: I think so. I think so. I mean, you know,
- 19:01Speaker 1: just there's, I think there's, Potentially, as time goes by,
- 19:05Speaker 1: a lot of outdated curriculum material that is going to
- 19:10Speaker 1: be taught. Even when we grew up, they taught us
- 19:12Speaker 1: stuff like, when am I ever going to need to
- 19:14Speaker 1: know this?
- 19:14Speaker 4: Never. Literally.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Right?
- 19:16Speaker 1: So now, cybersecurity, big deal. That is important that you
- 19:20Speaker 1: know how to do. Coding, great career.
- 19:22Speaker 4: I know.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Ethics and AI. Yeah, that's something we should be... teaching
- 19:28Speaker 1: yeah so i'm very interested to see where this goes
- 19:31Speaker 1: what grades is it because i think they're talking about
- 19:33Speaker 1: expanding it right.
- 19:34Speaker 3: That's right so right now it's grades six through nine
- 19:36Speaker 3: and it will eventually expand through 12th grade and then
- 19:40Speaker 3: they will get rid of the six then it'll be
- 19:41Speaker 3: seven through 12th but yeah exactly.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Uh do they have uh broomsticks.
- 19:47Speaker 3: No they're not teaching magic and flying on is that
- 19:50Speaker 3: a harry potter reference yeah look at you you've got
- 19:52Speaker 3: it little larper what else give.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Me another one broomsticks and that guy with.
- 19:56Speaker 3: The dragon butterbeer oh vodermoff.
- 20:03Speaker 1: What's his name? Voldemort. Voldemort.
- 20:05Speaker 3: You're quite the Harry Potter fan over there.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Voldemort.
- 20:11Speaker 4: Voldemort.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Is it just one movie or are there several?
- 20:14Speaker 4: There's like eight movies.
- 20:16Speaker 1: That and Game of Thrones. One movie. Hey, last night
- 20:20Speaker 1: in tub time, I came up with a new game
- 20:22Speaker 1: for Raging Waters.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Is that when you call tubs every night?
- 20:26Speaker 1: Tub time. No, the hot tub, warm tub, my bathtub,
- 20:29Speaker 1: my salt bathtub.
- 20:30Speaker 3: He gets in the tub with his bubbles.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Yeah, and I brainstorm, and I got a great one
- 20:34Speaker 1: coming next. New game. Call me if you want to
- 20:36Speaker 1: play it. We are going to play the game called.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Raging Waters Slide or Mountain Dew Flavor.
- 20:43Speaker 1: So Raging Waterslide or Mountain Dew Flavor. Dawn on me.
- 20:46Speaker 1: This is a great game. Teresa and Santana, good morning.
- 20:49Speaker 1: How are you?
- 20:50Speaker 5: Hi, Ryan.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I'm great.
- 20:53Speaker 5: Good.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Thank you for listening to us. I'm well, thanks.
- 20:57Speaker 4: My favorite thing to do in the morning.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Aw.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Even more than coffee?
- 21:03Speaker 2: Yes, even before morning coffee.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Wow.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Coffee's got one up on this to me. I really
- 21:09Speaker 1: love my coffee, and I love being here. All right.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Here we go. I'm going to give you a phrase,
- 21:15Speaker 1: and Teresa, you tell me if it's a current attraction
- 21:17Speaker 1: at Raging Waters, the park, or a flavor of Mountain Dew.
- 21:22Speaker 1: You've got to get three right before you get three wrong.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Are you ready?
- 21:25Speaker 5: Yes.
- 21:26Speaker 1: First one is Infinite Swirl. Infinite Swirl. Is that Raging
- 21:30Speaker 1: Waters or flavor of Mountain Dew?
- 21:34Speaker 4: Raging Waters.
- 21:36Speaker 1: It is a flavor of Mountain Dew, a bright blue
- 21:38Speaker 1: pineapple berry-flavored soda at 7-Eleven or Speedway. That was trickery.
- 21:42Speaker 2: All right, next one.
- 21:44Speaker 1: High Extreme. High Extreme. Is it Raging Waters or Mountain Dew?
- 21:51Speaker 1: Raging Waters.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:53Speaker 3: I think they advertised that one on the commercials.
- 21:57Speaker 1: It is Raging Waters, a 15-story, 600-foot-long, head-first mat slide
- 22:01Speaker 1: reaching speeds up to 35 mph. Next one.
- 22:04Speaker 3: That sounds fun.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Neptune's Fury. Neptune's Fury. Is it Raging Waters or Flavor
- 22:10Speaker 1: of Mountain Dew?
- 22:12Speaker 5: I think Raging Waters.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Yes, multi-person. Nice! Now for the win, Typhoon. Typhoon is it.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Raging Waters or Mountain Dew?
- 22:28Speaker 2: Typhoon. I'm going to say Mountain Dew.
- 22:36Speaker 1: It's Mountain Dew. Way to go. The counterintuitive reaction. The
- 22:39Speaker 1: pinkish-orange tropical punch. You got it. Congratulations. You got it. Yes, yes, yes.
- 22:43Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 22:44Speaker 3: I'm a vendor for AMPMs, but I don't do 7-Eleven.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. You're a vendor, so you kind of
- 22:49Speaker 1: had a leg up. Wow. Hey.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Meant to be.
- 22:52Speaker 3: You did it.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Wow.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Awesome. Thanks, Ryan. Thank you, Teresa, for listening.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Hi, Tiffany.
- 23:00Speaker 5: Hi, Seth. Hi. Hi.
- 23:02Speaker 1: You have a great day. Enjoy your four-pack, okay? It's
- 23:05Speaker 1: KISS FM. On air with Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest, good morning.
- 23:14Speaker 4: Morning.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Hello. Here we go. It's time to do it. It's
- 23:17Speaker 1: going to be hot. Stupid heat again today. So our intern, Bella,
- 23:22Speaker 1: which I just found out is a paid internship. I
- 23:24Speaker 1: didn't know that. I thought it was credits. That's what
- 23:27Speaker 1: we did back in the day.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Right.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Put in the time, get the credits, a fair trade.
- 23:32Speaker 1: These days we're paying the interns.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Yes.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Anyway, first week of class for USC. What year are
- 23:38Speaker 1: you going to be? Is this your last year?
- 23:39Speaker 5: It's my last year. It's my senior year.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Very exciting. So you got your classes yet?
- 23:45Speaker 5: I do. I have a couple. I have an intro
- 23:47Speaker 5: to sports media.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Okay. So you're staying to be Olivia Dean's publicist.
- 23:52Speaker 5: Olivia Rodrigo.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Publicist.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Yes.
- 23:54Speaker 1: She wants to be a publicist. For one of the
- 23:56Speaker 1: pop stars. Any pop star will do. I mean, Tame
- 23:59Speaker 1: Impala needs a publicist.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Go.
- 24:01Speaker 5: Why not?
- 24:01Speaker 1: All right. So first is intro to sports media. What's
- 24:05Speaker 1: that class?
- 24:06Speaker 5: Just like sports and media and the integration of the two.
- 24:10Speaker 5: A lot with athletes and NIL as well.
- 24:12Speaker 1: You know, sports drives the capital in media.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Right.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Sports funds everything else in media.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Sports funds all, most, I mean, I'm broad stroking it,
- 24:26Speaker 1: but sports, the sports rights that media platforms get fund
- 24:30Speaker 1: a lot of other things.
- 24:33Speaker 3: This class sounds fun. I would want to take that class.
- 24:35Speaker 1: What time does your first class start?
- 24:38Speaker 5: Today it starts at 6 p.m.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Wow!
- 24:41Speaker 5: How late do you go?
- 24:44Speaker 1: 9.30. I'm not a night person.
- 24:46Speaker 3: You gotta do what you gotta do. I mean, she's here,
- 24:49Speaker 3: so she can't take morning classes.
- 24:50Speaker 1: All right, all right. Well, she's getting paid. Next is,
- 24:53Speaker 1: what's another one?
- 24:54Speaker 3: Can't get past that.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Well, I didn't get paid. You didn't get paid. I
- 24:56Speaker 1: didn't get paid.
- 24:57Speaker 4: I know.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I got paid when I was on the air being
- 24:59Speaker 1: a DJ. Times have changed. I'm getting $ 12 an hour,
- 25:02Speaker 1: maybe $ 8 being a DJ. All right, what'd you get?
- 25:05Speaker 1: What's next?
- 25:06Speaker 5: Business and economic foundations of public relations and advertising.
- 25:10Speaker 3: I didn't even know what that was.
- 25:12Speaker 1: All right, what's the next one?
- 25:15Speaker 5: I'm most excited for this one because the professor said
- 25:18Speaker 5: there would be snacks. It's fundamentals of food communications.
- 25:22Speaker 1: I mean, does somebody just close their eyes and make
- 25:24Speaker 1: up names and brushes? What is food communication?
- 25:29Speaker 5: Like food and media and how it influences culture.
- 25:33Speaker 1: What does that even mean? Food and media now influences culture.
- 25:35Speaker 1: What's the class about?
- 25:36Speaker 3: You want to make commercials for food?
- 25:38Speaker 5: No, I think it's like literally just like culture and
- 25:42Speaker 5: how people interact with food brands and companies.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Or like how things become big, like matcha. Everyone starts
- 25:48Speaker 3: drinking matcha with protein in it and things like that. Yeah,
- 25:51Speaker 3: like popular foods.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Okay, can you come back to me on what you
- 25:54Speaker 1: learned in that class? I don't understand it. I'm very intrigued.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I think it would be the way that we communicate
- 25:59Speaker 1: around our table having food.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Oh, definitely not.
- 26:03Speaker 3: How to speak at Thanksgiving dinner. Definitely not.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Why this food makes me feel good afterwards. Mac and cheese,
- 26:10Speaker 1: it's a great food to talk about. All right, so
- 26:14Speaker 1: 6 o'clock, what are your other scheduled classes?
- 26:16Speaker 5: My last class is advanced writing and critical engagement in business.
- 26:20Speaker 1: That one's going to be the hard one.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Yeah, it is.
- 26:23Speaker 5: And it's a harsh professor.
- 26:24Speaker 1: How about advanced writing when you don't really have to
- 26:28Speaker 1: write ever again?
- 26:29Speaker 5: I just have to take it for USC. Everyone has
- 26:32Speaker 5: to take this class.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Oh, you wait until your senior year to do your prereqs.
- 26:37Speaker 5: No, they don't let you take it until junior year.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 26:39Speaker 5: Okay. So everyone waits to get a good professor, but
- 26:42Speaker 5: I just wanted to get it out of the way.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I took night school.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Well, that's what she's doing. Class starts 6 p.m. on
- 26:48Speaker 3: Mondays and Wednesdays.
- 26:50Speaker 1: But mine was late. I think I was going to
- 26:51Speaker 1: Santa Monica Community College to finish up getting some credits
- 26:56Speaker 1: when I moved out here. And I think it was
- 26:59Speaker 1: like 6 to 10. It was dreadful.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Yeah. I could never do night school.
- 27:06Speaker 1: I couldn't either.
- 27:07Speaker 4: But I also couldn't start before.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Noon or 1 p.m. It's a very narrow window. It
- 27:13Speaker 3: took me five years to graduate.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Very curious about food comms. It's Kiss. Tanya has a
- 27:18Speaker 1: trending report. Tanya, here we go.
- 27:20Speaker 4: So Priyanka Chopra Jonas is getting real about what's actually
- 27:23Speaker 4: kept her and Nick Jonas going strong for eight years.
- 27:26Speaker 4: They've already been married for eight years, which is so crazy.
- 27:29Speaker 4: She sat down with E! News and broke it down
- 27:31Speaker 4: to two things that really matter in their relationship. And
- 27:33Speaker 4: the first one was respect for where your partner comes from.
- 27:36Speaker 4: So Priyanka said that Nick's respect for... For her, Indian
- 27:39Speaker 4: roots is pretty much non-negotiable for her. She put it bluntly.
- 27:43Speaker 4: She said, I don't know if I'd love him if
- 27:44Speaker 4: he didn't. And she went on to say that that's
- 27:46Speaker 4: a big part of any multicultural relationship, having a real
- 27:49Speaker 4: sense of respect for your partner's roots. And I think
- 27:53Speaker 4: that's such a beautiful thing. You know, like people are
- 27:56Speaker 4: marrying different religions and I think it's a beautiful thing.
- 27:58Speaker 4: And then she said the second one, which I found
- 28:00Speaker 4: very interesting. She said, it's very simple. It's almost funny
- 28:03Speaker 4: just being kind to your partner. She said, being kind
- 28:06Speaker 4: to your partner, that's something that's really important. It's not
- 28:09Speaker 4: the grand gestures, not expensive trips, just respect and kindness.
- 28:13Speaker 4: And I feel like That's such an important one because
- 28:16Speaker 4: they always say like you take– whenever you're frustrated or
- 28:19Speaker 4: going through something, you take it out on the people
- 28:20Speaker 4: that you're closest with. And that can often be your partner.
- 28:24Speaker 4: You just like come home and you just unleash and
- 28:27Speaker 4: maybe you're snippy or you're snappy and you just have
- 28:29Speaker 4: to remember to just like be kind to your partner.
- 28:32Speaker 4: It's easy as that.
- 28:35Speaker 1: I've seen them like you've seen them out in the wild.
- 28:39Speaker 1: And what I've noticed is that they're always– as often
- 28:43Speaker 1: as they can be with both of them, you know,
- 28:45Speaker 1: busy supporting each other. Like when, when the Jonas brothers
- 28:49Speaker 1: got their star on the walk of fame, there was
- 28:51Speaker 1: Priyanka front and center. When I hosted the July 4th
- 28:54Speaker 1: special in Nashville, there was Priyanka right there with the
- 28:57Speaker 1: kids being there, supporting a big deal.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I remember a long time ago, I had a relationship
- 29:04Speaker 1: where the person never like came to anything. I was
- 29:07Speaker 1: kind of bummed about it. Yeah.
- 29:09Speaker 3: It was a bummer.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Coming back here at Kiss FM.
- 29:13Speaker 4: That really pulled on a, tugged on a sentimental note there.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Kiss FM. Josh, good morning. How are you, buddy? Hey,
- 29:22Speaker 1: good morning, guys.
- 29:23Speaker 2: How are you?
- 29:24Speaker 4: We're good.
- 29:25Speaker 1: So you're dating someone and you're not ready for her
- 29:29Speaker 1: to move in with her. Are you with she? How's the,
- 29:32Speaker 1: what's the setup?
- 29:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:34Speaker 2: So, so my girlfriend and I have been together for
- 29:37Speaker 2: a little over a year and I own my condo
- 29:41Speaker 2: and she bought up moving in recently and honestly, I
- 29:47Speaker 2: wonder what you guys feel. I just don't think a
- 29:49Speaker 2: year is long enough personally. It's not that I want
- 29:52Speaker 2: to break up with her. I really care about her
- 29:55Speaker 2: but I feel like just moving is like a huge
- 29:58Speaker 2: step Especially because once she's living there, it's not like
- 30:01Speaker 2: we're just dating anymore. We're roommates and it's our home.
- 30:06Speaker 2: And I don't want to say I'm not ready and
- 30:08Speaker 2: have her like immediately think so you don't see a
- 30:10Speaker 2: future with me. But because that's not what I'm saying.
- 30:14Speaker 2: I'm saying I see a future with you. I just
- 30:17Speaker 2: don't know if we're ready to live together yet.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Why? Why? Why aren't you ready to live together yet?
- 30:28Speaker 3: Oh, that's okay.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Cause, um, a year is when, you know, I feel
- 30:32Speaker 2: like is who you really are in the relationship really
- 30:35Speaker 2: starts to come forward.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:37Speaker 2: And I don't want to like speed up the process
- 30:40Speaker 2: as we're kind of like taking things. We're still getting
- 30:43Speaker 2: to know each other, you know? And then living together
- 30:47Speaker 2: means like, okay, we've kicked it up a notch, which,
- 30:51Speaker 2: and then also, man, to be honest, it's personal space too. Like,
- 30:56Speaker 2: I enjoy my solo time. I enjoy my time alone.
- 30:59Speaker 2: And if she's going to move in, that's definitely going
- 31:02Speaker 2: to change things.
- 31:03Speaker 1: So let me give you, from my view, your stronger argument.
- 31:08Speaker 1: It's the latter of what you just said. I would
- 31:10Speaker 1: not get into we're just feeling each other out zone.
- 31:14Speaker 1: That makes it seem like you're hesitant about her.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:16Speaker 1: That may make her feel not great. I love you saying, honestly, honestly, look,
- 31:23Speaker 1: it's just that I really appreciate this kind of space.
- 31:27Speaker 1: I'm used to this kind of space, and I'm not
- 31:30Speaker 1: ready to give that up. I don't want to give
- 31:31Speaker 1: that up. I mean, whatever you just said at the
- 31:32Speaker 1: end of this conversation is the better way to go. Otherwise,
- 31:36Speaker 1: it's personal to her.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 31:42Speaker 2: But if she starts to take it personally, you know,
- 31:50Speaker 2: she like she will.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the thing.
- 31:52Speaker 4: She will.
- 31:54Speaker 3: It's still kind of a blow.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Well, then she will read into it and decide if
- 32:01Speaker 1: she's fine with it or not. I mean, if she's
- 32:02Speaker 1: not fine with it, then she wants things to move
- 32:04Speaker 1: faster than you guys aren't for each other. But you
- 32:08Speaker 1: shouldn't settle for giving up something you don't want to
- 32:10Speaker 1: give up at the time you don't want to give
- 32:12Speaker 1: it up. At least be honest. Happens, bro.
- 32:16Speaker 2: True. But I feel like I'm trying to be honest,
- 32:18Speaker 2: and I gave a little bit of like, you know,
- 32:21Speaker 2: I was just asking her questions back and gave a
- 32:24Speaker 2: little bit of resistance. And then she started taking it
- 32:26Speaker 2: personally and asked me, if you really love me, why
- 32:28Speaker 2: would you want to move in with me? So I
- 32:31Speaker 2: feel like, how do I tell her, no, not yet.
- 32:34Speaker 1: You just say, I'm not ready for that step yet.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I love you. I still need my space. Period. She's
- 32:40Speaker 1: not good with it. She's not in. She's going to
- 32:41Speaker 1: not stick around.
- 32:42Speaker 4: She needs to be patient.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Good luck.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Thanks, guys.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Bye. You know, I have learned. He's like, I'm calling
- 32:50Speaker 1: somebody else.
- 32:51Speaker 3: I did not like our answer.
- 32:53Speaker 1: I don't know why I asked you guys. I didn't
- 32:55Speaker 1: want to hear that. If I keep asking you, will
- 32:57Speaker 1: you change your answer? I have learned. I've learned over
- 33:00Speaker 1: time that it's best just to be honest about it,
- 33:03Speaker 1: just to be straightforward. Like, look, I just want to
- 33:04Speaker 1: be transparent with you about this. I love you. I
- 33:07Speaker 1: can change the way I love you. I just like
- 33:09Speaker 1: to get my coffee by myself and not have to talk.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I just like to do this and this. That's so rude.
- 33:14Speaker 6: I know.
- 33:14Speaker 4: It's not going to go over well.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Then it's not meant to be.
- 33:18Speaker 3: I just like to get my coffee by myself.
- 33:21Speaker 4: Yeah, and be like, okay, bye.
- 33:22Speaker 3: Get your coffee by yourself for the rest.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Of your life. But I don't date someone like that.
- 33:26Speaker 3: You can't use that as.
- 33:27Speaker 4: Your response for everything from now on.
- 33:29Speaker 1: I don't date someone that would treat it so pettily.
- 33:31Speaker 4: You can't.
- 33:36Speaker 3: It's a good response. He's just overusing it now. On
- 33:41Speaker 3: air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 33:44Speaker 1: It's been a morning, and it's going to be hot today.
- 33:47Speaker 1: You know the heat. It's that brutal heat. There's a
- 33:50Speaker 1: post on Instagram that sparked a little debate. I want
- 33:52Speaker 1: to bring this up about what constitutes a grown-up meal,
- 33:55Speaker 1: like an adult meal, a grown-up meal. In this case,
- 33:57Speaker 1: it was a childhood favorite, buttered noodles. So buttered noodles,
- 34:01Speaker 1: basically just noodles with butter and salt. My niece eats
- 34:03Speaker 1: buttered noodles. The debate is, do buttered noodles count as
- 34:08Speaker 1: grown-up food? As grown-up food. Yeah, as a grown-up meal.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Some say, yeah. So I'm saying no. But if you
- 34:16Speaker 1: have buttered noodles, are you an adult or not?
- 34:19Speaker 3: Can you chop a little garlic in there yeah if
- 34:22Speaker 3: you put some marinara well then.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I don't know i just feel like if you make
- 34:27Speaker 1: buttered noodles i feel like you're not having grown-up.
- 34:30Speaker 4: Food no it's fine for like a side you have
- 34:33Speaker 4: like some chicken and then some buttered.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Noodles but what about mac and cheese that's grown-up food
- 34:36Speaker 1: and that's everybody food that works that that works as grown-up.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Food it's grown-up food if you make if you make
- 34:41Speaker 3: it homemade like fresh like not from the box If.
- 34:46Speaker 1: You came over and I served you SpaghettiOs, is that
- 34:48Speaker 1: grown up?
- 34:48Speaker 3: No.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Ew.
- 34:50Speaker 1: So it's childhood food?
- 34:52Speaker 4: No.
- 34:53Speaker 1: You wouldn't want that?
- 34:54Speaker 6: No.
- 34:54Speaker 3: No, I've never even tried them, to be honest.
- 34:57Speaker 1: What about my niece also loves quesadillas with cheese? To me,
- 35:00Speaker 1: that's both kid and grown up.
- 35:01Speaker 3: That's fine.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Solid.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Cereal for dinner, kid and grown up?
- 35:05Speaker 3: Maybe not for dinner.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Oh, cereal for dinner is the best.
- 35:09Speaker 3: That's not dinner. I don't even think cereal is like
- 35:11Speaker 3: an actual meal. Cereal is like a snack.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I do have, sometimes I'll have grape nuts for dinner.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Such a boring cereal.
- 35:19Speaker 2: On a date.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I'll pass.
- 35:21Speaker 4: I wouldn't date anybody like that.
- 35:23Speaker 5: All right.
- 35:23Speaker 1: What about, oh, chicken nuggets. Chicken nuggets. Is that grown
- 35:27Speaker 1: up food or not?
- 35:30Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Chicken nuggets is kid food.
- 35:32Speaker 3: It is kid food, but he also like sometimes you
- 35:34Speaker 3: go fingers. Yeah. Because they're bigger chicken.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Fingers, grown up chicken nuggets. No child.
- 35:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:44Speaker 1: What if they're shaped like dinosaurs, a grownup food or
- 35:47Speaker 1: kid kid? Yeah, for sure.
- 35:50Speaker 2: All right.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Well, it's good to know pizza rolls. Debatable. Like Pete's
- 35:56Speaker 1: pizza rolls. You know, the, Little pizza rolls that are
- 35:59Speaker 1: frozen to heat up.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Like the bagel bites?
- 36:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Or the deep fried ones.
- 36:03Speaker 5: Oh.
- 36:03Speaker 1: I think those are adult and kid.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Sure, I could be an appetizer for a party.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Actually, a birthday party as an adult with just kid-friendly
- 36:10Speaker 1: food would be the best. That's what we should do.
- 36:14Speaker 1: When you turn 35 or whatever you're going to turn,
- 36:16Speaker 1: get all kids' foods.
- 36:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Well, Halloween's coming up. Tanya and Robbie always go as
- 36:22Speaker 1: a couple. What are you going to be this year, Tanya?
- 36:24Speaker 1: We're debating.
- 36:25Speaker 3: We're debating.
- 36:26Speaker 1: It's early, but it's coming.
- 36:28Speaker 4: Halloween. We have like our, our finalists, our contenders.
- 36:31Speaker 1: You have a place to go.
- 36:32Speaker 5: No, actually.
- 36:35Speaker 1: You're just coming up with a couple costumes. There's not
- 36:37Speaker 1: a place to show them off.
- 36:38Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly. Well, we'll find something to do, whatever it is.
- 36:40Speaker 5: All right.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Sissy, have you thought about this for your kids?
- 36:43Speaker 3: You know what's funny? No, not yet.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Because it's still summer. School's just back.
- 36:47Speaker 3: It's too early. We've been in first day of school
- 36:50Speaker 3: mode and all that. You're cramming my brain too soon.
- 36:52Speaker 6: I know.
- 36:52Speaker 3: But I have started to buy a little Halloween decor.
- 36:55Speaker 3: I was at HomeGoods the other day, and I got
- 36:57Speaker 3: a little bit of that. It's 110 today.
- 37:01Speaker 1: And now you're talking about Halloween.
- 37:02Speaker 3: It's going to be Halloween before you know it. Last
- 37:04Speaker 3: year was so like, just, it was like, we're going
- 37:06Speaker 3: to be the K-pop demon hunters. Like it was just like,
- 37:07Speaker 3: we knew right out the gate.
- 37:08Speaker 1: What is it on your list now?
- 37:10Speaker 4: So this year we're the biggest contender is Justin Bieber
- 37:14Speaker 4: and Billie Eilish from Coachella this year. You know, like
- 37:16Speaker 4: the track suit that she wore and the sleeveless.
- 37:19Speaker 1: You guys are looking like posers.
- 37:21Speaker 7: No that's like our number one i think that's your
- 37:24Speaker 7: number one number two is punch the monkey and his
- 37:26Speaker 7: little stuffed animal friend cute if you don't do that
- 37:29Speaker 7: i want to do that um our third option is
- 37:32Speaker 7: ryan gosling and rocky from project tell me how you
- 37:35Speaker 7: do the rock though i don't know because i would
- 37:37Speaker 7: be ryan gosling.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Well who's right.
- 37:41Speaker 4: I would let my husband be rock figure.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Out how to do why that why that seems like
- 37:46Speaker 1: a hard costume Can I just say something?
- 37:48Speaker 3: Why do you want to be a boy?
- 37:49Speaker 1: I don't want you to have a beard. Yeah, exactly.
- 37:52Speaker 1: If you're my girlfriend, please don't put a beard on
- 37:55Speaker 1: that night.
- 37:56Speaker 4: I feel like my husband usually does the woman.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Why do you guys do this?
- 38:01Speaker 4: He was Vanna White one year, and then last year
- 38:03Speaker 4: he was from Wicked, Cynthia Erivo.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Cynthia Erivo's character.
- 38:08Speaker 1: That's not for me.
- 38:10Speaker 4: So I feel like this year I'll take the L
- 38:11Speaker 4: and I'll be Ryan Gosling.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Okay, I was thinking about this. I'm going to be
- 38:16Speaker 1: a La Boo Boo collector.
- 38:18Speaker 3: A collector?
- 38:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to pin La Boo Boos to my
- 38:21Speaker 1: regular clothes and walk around as a La Boo Boo collector.
- 38:24Speaker 3: I don't hate that, actually. Yeah, it's not bad.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Either that or the guy from The Bear. I can
- 38:28Speaker 1: be the chef, just wear a white t-shirt.
- 38:30Speaker 3: That's kind of hot.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Is it?
- 38:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like you could rock that.
- 38:33Speaker 1: You could make it sleeveless.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't want a bunch of La Boo Boos
- 38:36Speaker 3: on there.
- 38:37Speaker 1: La Boo Boos are out.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Nobody's talking about La Boo Boos anymore.
- 38:39Speaker 1: You know what?
- 38:40Speaker 3: Everyone's talking about dumplings and squishies. Put a bunch of,
- 38:44Speaker 3: be a dumpling collector.
- 38:45Speaker 1: What about, what about, what about, what's that show? White Lotus.
- 38:50Speaker 1: I'll be a White Lotus guest. Which one? I'll wear
- 38:53Speaker 1: a tropical shirt and have a spritzer. What do they
- 38:56Speaker 1: call those spritz?
- 38:57Speaker 4: Hugo spritz.
- 38:58Speaker 1: It's something like that. What's a Hugo spritz?
- 38:59Speaker 3: Hugo spritz. Oh, it's like elderberry. I know. I can
- 39:02Speaker 3: only have one of those.
- 39:04Speaker 1: How about just a blue ribbon, please? Coming up next,
- 39:07Speaker 1: it's Kiss FM nonstop music. You can do it for us, friends.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Kiss FM. Sisney will take it for an hour tomorrow.
- 39:13Speaker 1: We're back with the Ryan's roses. They had a speed
- 39:15Speaker 1: bump in the marriage a few years back, but it
- 39:17Speaker 1: worked out. They worked through it, but she just found
- 39:20Speaker 1: a secret phone. Oh, here we go again. That's tomorrow
- 39:23Speaker 1: morning at 7.40 here at 102.7 KISS FM. Thanks for
- 39:28Speaker 1: listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make sure to
- 39:30Speaker 1: subscribe and we'll talk to you again tomorrow.
