- 0:08Speaker 1: scrible advice. Welcome to the naughty the night show, I
- 0:17Speaker 1: mean how s rubbed shooter. And it is Friday, which
- 0:21Speaker 1: means our dear friend Corey Andrew is joining us. Hey, Corey,
- 0:24Speaker 1: are you there? I am here. Happy Friday, every one.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Happy Friday, my friend. It's been a long, long week.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I hope you all had a good one, but we're
- 0:33Speaker 1: going to end with a lot of delicious, silly celebrity gossips,
- 0:37Speaker 1: so let's jump in. What time is it, my friends?
- 0:39Speaker 1: It is d this story sort of broke my heart.
- 0:43Speaker 1: This really pulled up my heart strings. So apparently the
- 0:46Speaker 1: queen and Queen Elizabeth was exhausted by the turmoil created
- 0:50Speaker 1: by Harry and Megan, oh so the cream was hot,
- 0:54Speaker 1: and exhausted by Harry and Meghan's decision to quit royal
- 0:58Speaker 1: life and the ensuing in drama that they cause. There's
- 1:02Speaker 1: a new book out by Katie Nichols. She's a fabulous
- 1:05Speaker 1: royal reporter. I think she is a royal reporter for
- 1:08Speaker 1: Vanity Fair here in America. She's British them. I've known
- 1:11Speaker 1: her forever. She's really great. She's a new book out.
- 1:14Speaker 1: She's going to make a million dollars and she is
- 1:16Speaker 1: vicious it. Also, I got a copy in advance of
- 1:20Speaker 1: the book and this is what she's saying. She said
- 1:22Speaker 1: the late monarch confided in a friend that she was
- 1:25Speaker 1: just exhausted by all the turmoil resulting from their decision.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I get that there was a lot of turmoil. So
- 1:32Speaker 1: even if you support their decision, a lot of us do,
- 1:35Speaker 1: it's their life, it's their decision. When you make a
- 1:38Speaker 1: decision in life it could be about anything. It does
- 1:40Speaker 1: affect other people and the great grandma was just exhausted
- 1:45Speaker 1: by this. States went on to write that she was
- 1:47Speaker 1: really hurt and claims the queen said, I don't know,
- 1:51Speaker 1: I don't care, I don't want to think about it anymore.
- 1:55Speaker 1: You know when you get to that point where you're
- 1:56Speaker 1: just like, I can't talk about this anymore. The Queen
- 2:00Speaker 1: got to that point. So Katie also noted that there
- 2:04Speaker 1: was a sadness from the Queen. She just couldn't understand
- 2:07Speaker 1: this because her whole life was about service. She was
- 2:11Speaker 1: not a person that took a day off work, let
- 2:13Speaker 1: alone cry. She didn't do that. Once again, here I'm
- 2:17Speaker 1: not saying that Harry and they can made the wrong decision.
- 2:20Speaker 1: But look at it through Queen Elizabeth's eye. Seventy years
- 2:23Speaker 1: on the throne. This was a woman that was working.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Literally we saw her two days before she passed. She
- 2:29Speaker 1: was meeting the new prime minister. Her job was everything. Also,
- 2:32Speaker 1: and this part, this made me sad. They said the
- 2:36Speaker 1: Queen was upset that she never got to spend much
- 2:38Speaker 1: time with archie or Lily Bett and she used to
- 2:41Speaker 1: have sleepovers at bell moral just for the grandchildren and
- 2:44Speaker 1: the great grandchildren. How Nice is that? I love that.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I can imagine a sleepover a bell moral castle with
- 2:52Speaker 1: the Queen. Oh yes, the queen's neighbor, Elizabeth, between Elizabeth
- 2:59Speaker 1: and all those on the ground. So this story, it
- 3:02Speaker 1: made me, made me sad and I think potentially this
- 3:06Speaker 1: is gonna make Harry and Megan looked really bad. What
- 3:09Speaker 1: do you think? Well, you know, I have to say
- 3:12Speaker 1: that there's a little bit of a different approach from me,
- 3:15Speaker 1: which is I think again Megan is being scapegoated. It's
- 3:19Speaker 1: Megan killed the Queen. That's what I'm seeing when I
- 3:22Speaker 1: read this story and I think it's a little unfair.
- 3:24Speaker 1: We would never understand those dynamics and rob you know
- 3:26Speaker 1: I mean you know, it's not like Harry is the
- 3:29Speaker 1: first person to abdicate the throne and leave the royal family.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I mean Queen Elizabeth is Queen almost because it happened
- 3:35Speaker 1: in her with her uncle, her father, becoming king, and
- 3:39Speaker 1: so it's just, you know, I don't think she likes
- 3:42Speaker 1: that dynamic. But you know, Harry is not the first
- 3:44Speaker 1: one to leave that family. Let's just yeah, now, you're right.
- 3:47Speaker 1: We have to make decisions in life that are right
- 3:49Speaker 1: for us, but I do like to think that we
- 3:51Speaker 1: think of others when we make those decisions. I knew
- 3:54Speaker 1: moving to America was the right decision for me. I
- 3:56Speaker 1: fell in love, I wanted to come here, but I
- 3:59Speaker 1: knew it would hurt my mom. I knew it would
- 4:00Speaker 1: devastate my mom because I just don't get to see
- 4:03Speaker 1: her as much as my brothers and sisters do. So
- 4:05Speaker 1: I do get those decisions and I would imagine Harry particularly,
- 4:09Speaker 1: and Megan, though, do understand what this decision was. It's
- 4:13Speaker 1: it's interesting in life, particularly people of an older generation.
- 4:17Speaker 1: It's very hard for them to understand something that is
- 4:22Speaker 1: alien to them. So I think a lot of older
- 4:25Speaker 1: people struggle with gay people because it's just not part
- 4:28Speaker 1: of their generation. My Mom and dad and my grandparents
- 4:31Speaker 1: gay people, did not say they were gay. They lived
- 4:33Speaker 1: in the shadows. And so I do understand, like you're
- 4:37Speaker 1: never going to change someone in their nineties, like the
- 4:40Speaker 1: Queen was in her nineties. She wasn't going to change
- 4:43Speaker 1: this decision to leave an institution that she had spent
- 4:47Speaker 1: her life building, repairing promoting. That must have been rough. Yeah,
- 4:53Speaker 1: she couldn't understand why or how he could leave there.
- 4:55Speaker 1: But you bring up a great point. My grandair path,
- 4:57Speaker 1: for the way, at like nine three and you and
- 5:00Speaker 1: Um and I was not out to him. I was
- 5:02Speaker 1: out of the entire family, but we couldn't tell about
- 5:05Speaker 1: he was born in and he just wouldn't understand. And
- 5:09Speaker 1: but I got to tell you, rob I think now,
- 5:11Speaker 1: in hindsight, my Granddad was a very smart man and
- 5:13Speaker 1: I think maybe what if we didn't allow him to
- 5:16Speaker 1: come forward because we were so busy trying to police?
- 5:20Speaker 1: I think he'd say so, maybe, Harry, you know, maybe
- 5:23Speaker 1: the queen needed needed this to forward to the Times. Yeah,
- 5:27Speaker 1: I'm a big believer in telling the truth and letting
- 5:31Speaker 1: people make their own decisions. Like keeping a secret from
- 5:35Speaker 1: somebody because you're worried about how they're going to react.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It's not good for your mental and so this is
- 5:41Speaker 1: a very complicated story. But there's just something about Queen
- 5:44Speaker 1: Elizabeth missing her grandkids. And yes, I know that can
- 5:47Speaker 1: be manipulative. If I know, I get it and I
- 5:50Speaker 1: get Katie. I like Katie, but she wants to sell
- 5:52Speaker 1: books and so that is such an interesting story. But
- 5:55Speaker 1: I do understand too. I love it that she's just
- 5:58Speaker 1: exhausted by it, like like the rest of us, she
- 6:00Speaker 1: sees the newspapers every day. She's like, I just don't
- 6:05Speaker 1: care pretty more because it was a big headline, like
- 6:09Speaker 1: about every single day, which brings us to my pole
- 6:12Speaker 1: question of the day. Queen Elizabeth was exhausted by all
- 6:15Speaker 1: the turmoil caused by Harry and Megan's decision. Should Harry
- 6:19Speaker 1: and Megan feel guilty? Should they feel guilty about it?
- 6:24Speaker 1: So go vote on our twitter page at Naughty and
- 6:26Speaker 1: Ice Rob facebook page is naughty gossip, and be sure
- 6:30Speaker 1: to check back on Monday to hear your results. It's
- 6:34Speaker 1: a good pole, cory. It's a good pole to day is.
- 6:36Speaker 1: It's a tricky one. I feel. I do feel. Doesn't
- 6:39Speaker 1: mean I don't make the right decision or the right
- 6:42Speaker 1: decision for me, but you can also. You can make
- 6:44Speaker 1: the right decision and also feel a little bit of
- 6:46Speaker 1: guilt about it. You can't. I can't wait to see
- 6:49Speaker 1: the results. Anybod are you working on that? Yes, yes, well,
- 6:51Speaker 1: Johnny Depp is dating his lawyer, Joel Rich. This comes
- 6:55Speaker 1: far away the trial, of course, in which rich represented him.
- 6:58Speaker 1: So yeah, Johnny Depp is Dady Joel Rich. He's the
- 7:00Speaker 1: attorney who represented him in his UK libel trial against
- 7:04Speaker 1: the sun, which is that scandalous. It's a lot of
- 7:10Speaker 1: love and it's a lot of fun. So we're told
- 7:12Speaker 1: that the London based lawyer is married, but she separated
- 7:15Speaker 1: and her divorce may not have been finalized. But earlier
- 7:18Speaker 1: this summer depthft sparked romance rumors with another attorney, Camille Vasquez,
- 7:24Speaker 1: who revered him in his victorious US defamation trial against
- 7:28Speaker 1: his ex wife, amber heard now, however, Vasquez quickly quieted
- 7:33Speaker 1: that rumor mill. She called the allegations sexist and unethical,
- 7:37Speaker 1: and she noted that the pirates of the Caribbean star
- 7:39Speaker 1: had been her friend and client for almost four and
- 7:42Speaker 1: a half years. So she says it's an unethical charge
- 7:46Speaker 1: being made at sexist she added. It's unfortunate, it's disappointing,
- 7:50Speaker 1: but at the same time it kind of comes from
- 7:52Speaker 1: the territory. I can't say I was all that surprised.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Now let me just say ironically enough, months ago I
- 7:59Speaker 1: had the opportunity on another podcast. The booker came to
- 8:02Speaker 1: me and says, Hey, what do you think of Camille
- 8:03Speaker 1: Vasques as a guest and I said, well, you know,
- 8:08Speaker 1: I'm not sure that amber heard thing was really the
- 8:10Speaker 1: most positive representation for defending women. I would have said yes,
- 8:14Speaker 1: if you want to do this podcast, call you'll get
- 8:16Speaker 1: head your business. You're too nice for this business. Car.
- 8:21Speaker 1: You just you're like on my shoulder, you're my conscience,
- 8:26Speaker 1: I'm the good angels, believe me. I called him like
- 8:29Speaker 1: after I read a book I read about Camille. Called
- 8:32Speaker 1: him was like, Hey, is Camille still a fair? She
- 8:35Speaker 1: was absolutely not. She's busy. So it's not Camille. So,
- 8:41Speaker 1: just to be clear here, the American lawyer who we
- 8:43Speaker 1: saw him with all the time very, very pretty. It's not.
- 8:47Speaker 1: It's his first lawyer. So before he had the trial
- 8:50Speaker 1: in the USA, he had a trial in Britain. That
- 8:52Speaker 1: he actually lost. So I don't know if I'd be
- 8:55Speaker 1: dating my lawyer that lost. I want to date. I
- 9:01Speaker 1: do get it. There there's people that are in positions
- 9:04Speaker 1: of power that help you, that are very attractive that
- 9:08Speaker 1: you probably might not think so otherwise. I've only ever
- 9:11Speaker 1: had one trial and I was in the Jewry and
- 9:15Speaker 1: I must admit the lawyer was somebody that I probably
- 9:17Speaker 1: wouldn't look at in regular life. But just the fact
- 9:21Speaker 1: they were being up there like l a law I
- 9:24Speaker 1: was like watching. I was like, Oh, this is so excited.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Actually can be intoxicated. Yes, there's a hero dynamic that happenschlogically.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I've read about this. You know where it happened as well.
- 9:34Speaker 1: To remember the pilot that flew into Hudson River with
- 9:37Speaker 1: the plains scully. He and his wife were headed. I
- 9:41Speaker 1: met him in the seeing n makeup room and I
- 9:45Speaker 1: could have fell to my knees and can speak well.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I mean, yes, he was but he wasn't normally my
- 9:52Speaker 1: but it was just the fact that he saved all
- 9:54Speaker 1: those people, that he and his wife were about to
- 9:56Speaker 1: get divorced during this time and she fell in love
- 9:59Speaker 1: with him in I should begin to see him on news.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I fall in love with every pharmacist. If I've got
- 10:05Speaker 1: a sinus infection, if you give me a z pack,
- 10:07Speaker 1: I'll marry you. I just let you know what you
- 10:09Speaker 1: just feel like you need some help. Anyone that's nice
- 10:12Speaker 1: to me. I know it's totally, totally well, good luck
- 10:15Speaker 1: you two. This story made me scream and I shouldn't.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I should be cross, but it just made me laugh.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Chris Jenna's so wealthy she forgot she owned a condom
- 10:24Speaker 1: in Beverly Hills. So she was looking around her conto
- 10:28Speaker 1: in Beverly Hills and she's with chloe. I love chloe
- 10:31Speaker 1: clothes is my favorite, and she said, Oh, this is
- 10:33Speaker 1: a cute little place, if I say so myself, to
- 10:36Speaker 1: which her daughter equipped you forgot you even had it,
- 10:40Speaker 1: and so then she asked her mom, where was the
- 10:42Speaker 1: last time you went to the luxury unit? And the
- 10:46Speaker 1: MOM said she uses it Christmas as a gift wrapping station.
- 10:50Speaker 1: It's like Santa's workshop, and she said that. She said,
- 10:56Speaker 1: I can't wait to be as well for you. This
- 10:58Speaker 1: is chloe. I can't be way to be as wealthy
- 11:00Speaker 1: as you when I forget that I owned properties and
- 11:03Speaker 1: like one day like, Oh, I've got a Condo in
- 11:06Speaker 1: Beverly Hills and I forgot about it. Can you imagine
- 11:10Speaker 1: two bedroom condo? Yeah, I mean, on one hand is
- 11:13Speaker 1: sort of obnoxious. It's not, but it's also very aspirational.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Like yesterday I cleaned that my closet. It was a
- 11:22Speaker 1: mess cory. I just had to go in there and
- 11:24Speaker 1: fold some sweaters and it's all on the floor. So
- 11:27Speaker 1: I did a bit of a clean ad. Oh, I
- 11:29Speaker 1: discovered some things that I forgot. I owned to it,
- 11:31Speaker 1: but we're talking about t shirts, not condos. You never
- 11:34Speaker 1: done that. I was like, Oh, I forgot I had
- 11:36Speaker 1: that lovely winter jumper, because you put your jumping somewhere,
- 11:38Speaker 1: your sweaters and for the whole I'm not warning them.
- 11:40Speaker 1: For six months it's been so nice, but now it's
- 11:42Speaker 1: getting a bit chilly, and so I was folding some
- 11:44Speaker 1: sweaters was like, oh, that's such a cute sweater I
- 11:47Speaker 1: forgot I had and I sharp a lot and I
- 11:50Speaker 1: don't wear it. So Joey will come in, he'll see
- 11:53Speaker 1: like tags on stuff, he'll think I went sharping like that.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Maybe it's simple. It's not similar. I'm pretended that having
- 12:01Speaker 1: a sweater that I forgot about from gap is the
- 12:04Speaker 1: same US trying. Okay, this story may made angry. Another actress,
- 12:11Speaker 1: a big star, is coming forward saying that they were
- 12:14Speaker 1: told to lose weight. Yeah, it's really crazy, especially because
- 12:18Speaker 1: she's such an amazing actress too. So like let her be.
- 12:21Speaker 1: But it's Bryce Dallas Howard, and she revealed that she
- 12:24Speaker 1: was told to lose weight for Jurassic World Three. She
- 12:27Speaker 1: got candid about how she was urged to lose weight
- 12:30Speaker 1: for her role in Jurassic World Dominion, which was like
- 12:33Speaker 1: the third of that. Yeah, it's a big one. It's
- 12:39Speaker 1: a huge franchise. So the forty one year old discussed
- 12:42Speaker 1: that the studio executives told her just before shooting the
- 12:44Speaker 1: third film in the Jurassic World Series. You know, she
- 12:48Speaker 1: says what being in this third film allowed? How do
- 12:51Speaker 1: I say this? I've been asked to not use my
- 12:54Speaker 1: natural body in cinema. That's what she told the Metro
- 12:58Speaker 1: UK in a recent profile. So she was also in
- 13:01Speaker 1: spider man three. Yeah, she she revealed how director Colin
- 13:06Speaker 1: Trevor Roe stood up for her and she she continued
- 13:09Speaker 1: on the third movie. It was actually because there were
- 13:11Speaker 1: so many women in the cast. It was something that
- 13:13Speaker 1: Colin felt strongly about in terms of protecting for him. Yeah,
- 13:18Speaker 1: and that great, because we do need more men to
- 13:20Speaker 1: stand up and women. Right, so she says, because the
- 13:23Speaker 1: conversation came up again. You know, they were told, Hey,
- 13:26Speaker 1: we need to ask Bryce to lose weight now. Bryce
- 13:29Speaker 1: also is the daughter of Ron how just making sure
- 13:32Speaker 1: everyone knows. I wouldn't message Howard, I wouldn't say this
- 13:37Speaker 1: to what I find strange about this those don't cast
- 13:40Speaker 1: me like, if you don't want me, don't have me,
- 13:43Speaker 1: unless they had to because she'd been in the other two.
- 13:45Speaker 1: It's shocking, isn't? I never noticed this stuff. I think
- 13:48Speaker 1: that movie executives focus on this more than the public
- 13:51Speaker 1: does that and it's so sexist to that's the no
- 13:55Speaker 1: one's ever told Jack Nicholson. You remember Jack Nicholson went
- 13:58Speaker 1: to appear in the film. He kept getting older and
- 14:00Speaker 1: fatter and his women his Co Star. I know I
- 14:04Speaker 1: bumped into Leonardo Dicaprio a couple of days ago in
- 14:07Speaker 1: New York. He's not Jack from titanic anymore. Let me
- 14:10Speaker 1: just say that, like we don't work, we don't wait
- 14:13Speaker 1: shame people on the show, but I'm just saying you
- 14:16Speaker 1: do change, and no one's told Leo to lose anyway. Terrible. Hey, quickly,
- 14:21Speaker 1: before we go to break, Hillary Dove's husband, Matthew Como,
- 14:25Speaker 1: and I don't really know at all, but now I do,
- 14:27Speaker 1: because he's trolling Adam Leville. So I Hillary Dove's husband
- 14:33Speaker 1: is trolling Adam over those leaked direct messages which allegedly
- 14:38Speaker 1: show him flirting with Mao multiple other women. I think
- 14:42Speaker 1: that's up to five. So get this, Matthew of the husband.
- 14:46Speaker 1: He posted a screenshot of Adam Levine's alleged messages that
- 14:51Speaker 1: he sent to one of the ladies at read. Holy
- 14:54Speaker 1: F Holy F your body is observed. So he's a
- 14:57Speaker 1: music producer. He photoshopped. He's in me on the DM
- 15:02Speaker 1: sweet looks as if he's responding to Matthew. It's very further.
- 15:06Speaker 1: So lots of people are doing this. Social Media Does
- 15:10Speaker 1: make me laugh, but also, to Gosh, Adam, this ain't
- 15:13Speaker 1: going away, Adam. I mean he's not the first guy.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I mean people are acting like he was Moses or something,
- 15:19Speaker 1: like he's not the first guy to be got cheating.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Like relax. Like not to say that I think it's normal,
- 15:24Speaker 1: but I mean it's kind of normal. So, Um, yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 1: I mean I love that. You always give us a
- 15:29Speaker 1: new perspective, Corey. We're going to take ourselves a quick
- 15:32Speaker 1: break and we will be right back. Welcome back to
- 15:36Speaker 1: the Naughty but nice and rub shoot it with that
- 15:39Speaker 1: dear friend, Corey Andrew. Hey, Corey, let's get to the pools.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Yesterday we talked about Megan Markle, who wanted to have
- 15:45Speaker 1: a one on one meeting with King Charles, not Prince Charles.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Are gonna get that right. King Charles, the third and
- 15:50Speaker 1: middle all of the drama. Was this a good idea
- 15:52Speaker 1: or a bad idea? Let's have a look. said a
- 15:55Speaker 1: good idea. I think good. I think it's a good
- 15:57Speaker 1: idea speaking through. You're not gonna fake if you don't
- 16:00Speaker 1: talk about it now. I do think Megan's timing was
- 16:03Speaker 1: a little off. I mean it's not very his mother.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Yet give him a minute, although she wanted to get
- 16:09Speaker 1: out of town, so she wanted to do it in Herson.
- 16:12Speaker 1: But that's worth a trip back to the UK for
- 16:15Speaker 1: big summit's a big meeting, that's true. I agree with
- 16:17Speaker 1: you. You You know, I didn't think about that and it's
- 16:20Speaker 1: busy being the king. I was like, I've only been
- 16:22Speaker 1: the king for twenty four rights, honey. I'm busy still
- 16:24Speaker 1: trying to figure out where to put the crowd exactly
- 16:29Speaker 1: when you put it. Where do I hold this orb
- 16:31Speaker 1: my hed, the left of the writer? It's all these
- 16:33Speaker 1: rules you got to learn being the king. Give him
- 16:35Speaker 1: a minute. Maker busy. Don't forget to vote on today's pole.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Going to twitter page at Naughty Nights, ROB and Messu here,
- 16:41Speaker 1: to check back a Monday to hear your results. And
- 16:45Speaker 1: now it's time for a noisiest. Yes, well, beyonce is
- 16:53Speaker 1: finally taking the renaissance on tour next summer. So her
- 16:57Speaker 1: new album, renaissance, of course, which is blowing up everywhere,
- 17:00Speaker 1: extreaming sites and it's just it's like the hottest album
- 17:03Speaker 1: on the planet. But she's gonna be taking that show
- 17:05Speaker 1: on the road, and one insider reveals that the singer,
- 17:07Speaker 1: who is now forty one, if you can believe that it,
- 17:09Speaker 1: is booking stadiums around the world for summer, and a
- 17:13Speaker 1: second source teases that an official announcement will be coming
- 17:17Speaker 1: in the next couple of weeks. Now, since it's released
- 17:20Speaker 1: in July, renaissance has been dominating streaming services nightclubs all
- 17:24Speaker 1: over the world. But beyonce has, uncharacteristically, not any video,
- 17:29Speaker 1: or in that set of words, she's like it's been
- 17:31Speaker 1: kind of a quiet release, but she knows she released it.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Like yeah, I mean, did she involved at all? Did
- 17:37Speaker 1: someone else? It's so strange, but yes. Anyway, though, she
- 17:42Speaker 1: will be doing this finally and she's gonna be teasing
- 17:44Speaker 1: that she's gonna be releasing some videos, but it's yet
- 17:46Speaker 1: to be seen. But you know what, it's got sixteen
- 17:49Speaker 1: hot tracks and it's got the top, the chart, topping single.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Break my soul. I can't wait. Although, beyonce, if you're listening,
- 17:58Speaker 1: do single. Lad you've gotta the hexx to darling throwing
- 18:04Speaker 1: a hit or two. Okay, let's do I notice the
- 18:06Speaker 1: Day Ellen degenerous is protege grace and chances, ripping her
- 18:11Speaker 1: as manipulative. So He's saying she is the most manipulative,
- 18:15Speaker 1: most self centered and most blatantly opportunist person he's ever met. So,
- 18:19Speaker 1: if you remember, he was discovered at twelve years old
- 18:23Speaker 1: and he was performing Lady Gaga's Papa Artsi. He was
- 18:26Speaker 1: playing piano and singing. The Youtube Clip when Viral Ellen. Sorry,
- 18:30Speaker 1: she had him on the show and when he was
- 18:32Speaker 1: on the show, that's when she said I'm going to
- 18:34Speaker 1: protect you and I'm here for you and we're doing
- 18:37Speaker 1: this together. She helped him get a record deal, a
- 18:40Speaker 1: publicist and manager. She did all these amazing things to
- 18:43Speaker 1: change his life. But then his career did not exactly explode,
- 18:48Speaker 1: and that's when they had a falling out. He claims
- 18:50Speaker 1: that she became too domineering and too controlling. He also
- 18:55Speaker 1: went on to say that it was her way or
- 18:57Speaker 1: the highway and she would gallop people and degrade ball
- 19:00Speaker 1: and ultimately, when his album flopped, she completely removed herself
- 19:05Speaker 1: and he felt completely abandoned. I haven't mixed feelings about this.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I want people to be kind, but the music business,
- 19:11Speaker 1: show business, is not kind, and so what Ellen did here.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I hate to say this and it shouldn't be the case,
- 19:17Speaker 1: this is how it works. If you sell well, everybody
- 19:20Speaker 1: loves you. The minute your album tanks, it's over. Bette
- 19:24Speaker 1: Midler said you're only as successful as your last album.
- 19:27Speaker 1: So she sold sixty million albums, but if she has
- 19:30Speaker 1: a bad album, it's over. One bad album can end
- 19:33Speaker 1: a career. So I get, yes, Ellen could have been
- 19:36Speaker 1: softer and kinder here, but if you're not selling, they're
- 19:39Speaker 1: not going to keep putting out albums. Think it's complicated.
- 19:43Speaker 1: It is, but I do wonder if if he's indicating
- 19:45Speaker 1: that Ellen got too involved creatively and what the products
- 19:49Speaker 1: sounded like and looks like, and I think that's where
- 19:51Speaker 1: his problem maybe she dominated that process and it's he's like,
- 19:55Speaker 1: that wasn't even my fault. Yeah, I put out a product.
- 19:57Speaker 1: It's tricky, though, isn't it? Because if you sign a
- 20:00Speaker 1: label and she got at you, she's going to want
- 20:02Speaker 1: to have if you don't want her to have an input,
- 20:05Speaker 1: then put out your own songs. You knows that decision
- 20:08Speaker 1: you make. Do you want to sign up with a
- 20:09Speaker 1: big label? Forget Ellen, for him and any label, big
- 20:12Speaker 1: label is going to tell you what to think. Kelly
- 20:14Speaker 1: Clarkson had a notorious fall out with Clive Davis. Yeah, vicious. Yeah,
- 20:19Speaker 1: she didn't want to do what he said and he
- 20:21Speaker 1: didn't want to do it her way, so they parted.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Way is you know, it is very complicated, but I
- 20:28Speaker 1: think the whole problem is the naughtiest of the day here.
- 20:30Speaker 1: We're not going to dosect it anymore. Hey, let's sen
- 20:32Speaker 1: with a moment of Rub something happy. You get a rubbietie.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I love this quote from Jessica Simpson. She makes me smile.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Jess to shed the following quotes. I don't have anything
- 20:41Speaker 1: to prove anymore. What other people think of me is
- 20:45Speaker 1: not my business. But do you think of me? Got
- 20:49Speaker 1: My business and I have a nosy person, so I've
- 20:51Speaker 1: got to stop putting my nose into excess. Not My business.
- 20:54Speaker 1: When do you think of me? Is Your Business, my business.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Mo Mom had another quick a way saying that, which
- 21:00Speaker 1: was a little bit more she does. I don't care
- 21:02Speaker 1: about you what you eat. Don't make me go to
- 21:04Speaker 1: the bathroom. That was my mom's southern expression. We would
- 21:08Speaker 1: say a different word. We love you. It's the same thing.
