- 0:00Speaker 1: You know what sound I really like? The sound of
- 0:02Speaker 1: the dishwasher running in the other room while I'm on
- 0:05Speaker 1: the couch pretending I contributed to the cleanup. Or when
- 0:08Speaker 1: I hear the washer and dryer running.
- 0:10Speaker 2: That sounds familiar.
- 0:11Speaker 1: And I'm sitting. Uh-huh. You feel like something's getting done.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:14Speaker 1: But you're not doing anything. Although you filled up the
- 0:16Speaker 1: washer and dryer.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:18Speaker 1: So I have the question here. What's an everyday sound
- 0:21Speaker 1: that you really like? Oh. Here at Light FM. Can
- 0:24Speaker 1: you text us at 44363? Because I'm thinking about like
- 0:27Speaker 1: the sounds of dry leaves.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they're coming, the crunchy leaves.
- 0:31Speaker 1: We had a few leaves in our yard, not like fall,
- 0:34Speaker 1: like orange leaves quite yet, but you know, just probably
- 0:37Speaker 1: dead ones. They're starting. But the crunch.
- 0:40Speaker 2: The crunch.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Love that sound.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You know what sound I love and realized this morning,
- 0:45Speaker 2: it's gone, is waking up to the sound of birds
- 0:48Speaker 2: chirping in the morning.
- 0:49Speaker 1: That's a great point.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Like even at- 3 a.m., Cubby, they would be up
- 0:55Speaker 2: with me. I would hear the birds.
- 0:56Speaker 1: And you hear them, like, even in Midtown. Like, if
- 0:58Speaker 1: we're walking from our parking garage to the radio station.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Like, at 5 a.m., you hear.
- 1:04Speaker 2: And this morning, no birds. Like, they already skipped town.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Do you think they've already flown south?
- 1:09Speaker 2: Have they gone south for the winter or are they
- 1:12Speaker 2: just sleeping in because, you know.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Or is it because, yeah, the time change, I'm thinking.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:17Speaker 1: In the summertime when we're walking in here at 5 a.m.
- 1:19Speaker 1: The sun is starting. It's still kind of orange.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yes, right.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But now the sun doesn't rise until like 7.15. Rain
- 1:26Speaker 1: on windows or roofs. I mean, nothing beats that.
- 1:29Speaker 2: When you're safely inside.
- 1:30Speaker 1: When you're safely inside. Yeah. But normally when it rains
- 1:32Speaker 1: real hard, where are you?
- 1:34Speaker 2: Uh, in a flood on Route 46.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I don't know how that happened.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Oh, it does.
- 1:39Speaker 1: You're always stuck in like flooding weather.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Um, how about a dog snoring and making random dream noises?
- 1:46Speaker 2: That's so cute.
- 1:47Speaker 1: How about that for a nice sound? That's cute.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Kitties do it too.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Uh-huh. A coffee shop when it's busy, but not slammed. Like. Right.
- 1:55Speaker 1: A lot of hustle and bustle, but you've got a
- 1:56Speaker 1: nice seat and you hear the clanking.
- 1:58Speaker 2: So there's like a little hum. Yes. And you hear
- 2:01Speaker 2: the coffee being served.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Yes. That's really. But you're far away from the machine.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It's not too loud.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Even on the Calm app, you can set it as
- 2:08Speaker 2: a background really to calm down.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Like you're in a coffee shop.
- 2:12Speaker 2: They have coffee shop on there because people like it
- 2:14Speaker 2: that much. Interesting.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Give us a text. What sound do you really never
- 2:18Speaker 1: get tired of? You love hearing 44363. Hopefully the sound
- 2:20Speaker 1: of Light FM is on your list.
