- 0:12Speaker 1: excuse me while I whipped this out shoot broadcasting live
- 0:17Speaker 1: and Atlanta, Georgia.
- 0:18Speaker 2: This this is the Sports Shock Ship with Wayne Gandy.
- 0:23Speaker 1: You big began, you lean up there? Can you bling
- 0:27Speaker 1: me down again?
- 0:28Speaker 3: You want frank me down?
- 0:29Speaker 1: Do come to come to pet it comes to Mark?
- 0:33Speaker 4: Is it just joy?
- 0:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it, Bigga. I'm gonna go on the
- 0:40Speaker 1: way you began. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I'll be listening to
- 0:47Speaker 1: the Sports Shock Show. I am the Sport Shock Wayne Candy.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Good morning to you. Happy Monday, I hope. Uh if
- 0:56Speaker 1: you're in the Atlanta area. Uh, you slapped yourself this morning.
- 1:00Speaker 1: You know you were one of those people that overreacted
- 1:06Speaker 1: most places. I'll tell y'all lived in snowy places for
- 1:10Speaker 1: a decade between two cities, Saint Louis and Pittsburgh. And
- 1:14Speaker 1: they just call this Tuesday, and it's a light Tuesday.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Weather storms have counciled games and school and Friday. I mean,
- 1:25Speaker 1: you couldn't even find anything to eat in the city.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Waffle House had a sign take out on the hold
- 1:32Speaker 1: on man. I mean, I know y'all on got some
- 1:35Speaker 1: of them pandemic rules in and now y'all just flexing
- 1:38Speaker 1: when you want. I think those rules ran out. I'm
- 1:42Speaker 1: quite sure they ran out when President Biden took over.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Some of that stuff ran out. But y'all still got
- 1:48Speaker 1: that same signing. And you know you can't be beating
- 1:50Speaker 1: on the door now that that's a bullying. You end
- 1:54Speaker 1: up in jail. Don't be knocking too loud and then
- 1:57Speaker 1: wondering why you hear were you be sitting there in
- 2:01Speaker 1: some cuffs. So when they put that sign up, all
- 2:04Speaker 1: you can do is shrug your shoulders. But I ain't
- 2:06Speaker 1: never seen a WAHF house clothes at one o'clock PM.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I mean, come on, Atlanta, you could do better. A
- 2:16Speaker 1: lot of it is the city, hey advocate people to
- 2:20Speaker 1: drive around. That little bit of snow would have broken up.
- 2:22Speaker 1: It was really just slippery because nobody was riding, and
- 2:25Speaker 1: we let it stick on the ground. But they really
- 2:29Speaker 1: just call it Tuesday. I'm a spring April twelfth in Pittsburgh.
- 2:39Speaker 1: You might just roll over and it's a light dusting
- 2:45Speaker 1: of slump snow. It reinforces global warming command you Greg
- 2:51Speaker 1: for your people who would like to go to the
- 2:53Speaker 1: oil pipelines and you know, and find weird salmon, like
- 2:58Speaker 1: like we already don't found all the species of salmon.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You ever know that people go find something like we
- 3:03Speaker 1: already have a historical record of all we haven't seen everything. Well,
- 3:07Speaker 1: he's still gonna taste it. Yeah, we see you battery,
- 3:11Speaker 1: were still gonna taste because you basically taste anything fried.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Yes you can, you can see it before. But let's
- 3:18Speaker 1: see what the taste. Yeah, let's diet it in this
- 3:20Speaker 1: hot grease and see how it rat how it reacts
- 3:23Speaker 1: to it, if the curl up were good, if it
- 3:26Speaker 1: stayed flat, I need to pay to it out. But
- 3:31Speaker 1: for the people outside of the Atlanta area, thank you
- 3:35Speaker 1: for all your well wishes. Everybody call concern. I got
- 3:38Speaker 1: it my truck and when I got a haircut and
- 3:41Speaker 1: got me some breakfast. I had to drive all the
- 3:42Speaker 1: way to Mariette Diner to get some some some breakfast.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I'm not, I'm not. I had to go all the
- 3:48Speaker 1: way up to Marietta to find somewhere I go and
- 3:51Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, I know waffe house. Okay, this this
- 3:56Speaker 1: waffle house location is just tripping. And the next one
- 4:00Speaker 1: they got one cook. Went to the Aha, they had
- 4:03Speaker 1: one cook. I called Mary of the diner. They said,
- 4:07Speaker 1: we are open and ready to serve you. I drove
- 4:10Speaker 1: about which is what about twenty miles from my house
- 4:13Speaker 1: and got me some breakfast. And it's only about eight
- 4:18Speaker 1: minutes from my house. Okay, and in storm mageddon, regular
- 4:26Speaker 1: drive it's on. And I'm bringing this up because next week,
- 4:30Speaker 1: if you look at the weather report right now, the
- 4:32Speaker 1: National Title Game, yeah, it's got next Monday. I got
- 4:37Speaker 1: a way a long time. I almost forgot those two
- 4:39Speaker 1: teams played this. We can I was writing my notes
- 4:42Speaker 1: and I forgot. Notre Dame and Ohio State won a
- 4:45Speaker 1: couple of days ago. But the National Title Game is
- 4:48Speaker 1: next Monday night here in Atlanta. That's college football. College
- 4:52Speaker 1: football here in Atlanta. But the report said snow. Now,
- 4:59Speaker 1: we were supposed to have a Houston Rocket Atlanta Hawks
- 5:06Speaker 1: game on Saturday. They postponed that due to icy roads,
- 5:11Speaker 1: as they put it. So hopefully the National Title Game
- 5:14Speaker 1: goes off without a hitch. But for those that might
- 5:17Speaker 1: be coming in from places that deal with snow in
- 5:21Speaker 1: a regular way, Atlanta is a little different. So I'm
- 5:25Speaker 1: just throwing out that little warning. They basically have run
- 5:29Speaker 1: the economic numbers, and it works better for them to
- 5:35Speaker 1: make you stay home for two days economically then to
- 5:39Speaker 1: put you out and accident. And you know, the bad producer.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Somebody slipped on the ice. You know, you always have
- 5:48Speaker 1: one of them that make themselves slip. I was sold
- 5:53Speaker 1: for a check. I was so afraid of somebody trying
- 5:56Speaker 1: to deliver a package. You know, the package just come
- 5:59Speaker 1: to my house. That's on them though. Well, well no, no, sir.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Let me tell you we live in these strange times.
- 6:07Speaker 5: You say you went to a closed waffle house. When
- 6:10Speaker 5: I used to work for waffle house, do you know
- 6:12Speaker 5: what the model of waffle house is? We never closed.
- 6:16Speaker 5: That's the first thing they teach you. We never closed,
- 6:19Speaker 5: but they were open. They just they just would not
- 6:22Speaker 5: let you come in to die. You can only get
- 6:23Speaker 5: takeout that's closed.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I mean, I don't want to I don't want to
- 6:29Speaker 1: split hairs here. We're gonna look up the work closed
- 6:32Speaker 1: what it means, but it generally means you can't come in.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Monday night football, the Minnesota Vikings and the rams La
- 6:39Speaker 1: Rams will do battle down in Arizona because of the
- 6:42Speaker 1: wildfires out in LA. They decided just to go ahead
- 6:46Speaker 1: on and move the game, and that was the right choice.
- 6:48Speaker 1: If you're teetering, don't wait till the last moment. Just
- 6:52Speaker 1: let the guys try to form a regular day for
- 6:56Speaker 1: the Vikings. It would have been going into They just
- 6:59Speaker 1: gave a different flight plan to their pilot. They were
- 7:04Speaker 1: traveling anyway. The Rams needed to move. This game will
- 7:09Speaker 1: be eight pm tonight. Hopefully I can stay through it
- 7:13Speaker 1: in the Ram pulling for the Rams right off the bat.
- 7:15Speaker 1: They did beat the Vikings earlier in the season thirty
- 7:19Speaker 1: to twenty out in LA. But the Vikings and the Rams,
- 7:24Speaker 1: the winner of this game will go to Philly and
- 7:30Speaker 1: take on the Eagles. We'll talk about the games from
- 7:33Speaker 1: this weekend as well as the show goes on. But
- 7:39Speaker 1: Big Kenny's in the studio, comand you Craig is in here.
- 7:43Speaker 1: The bat producer has Matt made it in as well,
- 7:48Speaker 1: said you saw some accidents out on the road, accidents,
- 7:51Speaker 1: Stall calls.
- 7:52Speaker 6: I guess this is the first Monday back actually from vacation.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Vacation. It was a bunch of hybrids. One that the
- 8:00Speaker 1: hybrids like half man, half horn, half car half half okay,
- 8:09Speaker 1: half golf cart half hall car okay. Yeah yeah, and
- 8:12Speaker 1: then plus the full moon, so you don't have to
- 8:18Speaker 1: try to find be funny.
- 8:19Speaker 6: Man, I'm trying to tell you that the full moon.
- 8:22Speaker 6: But man, I'm telling you that affects people.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I know you try to say and I don't know
- 8:30Speaker 1: if that was just your theme growing up. No, I'm
- 8:33Speaker 1: telling you the group of people you just plug in
- 8:35Speaker 1: some stuff. We ain't talking about the night time or no, Scott,
- 8:40Speaker 1: we were talking abouts on the side of the road,
- 8:43Speaker 1: that's what. And I'm like, where you grew up, we
- 8:46Speaker 1: verify information, so we know that. So how do you
- 8:50Speaker 1: know the moons caused it? What did the moon do?
- 8:52Speaker 1: The full moon?
- 8:54Speaker 6: In other words, we're in the quarter where the full moon, like,
- 8:57Speaker 6: we're in the full moon that's through the day to ever,
- 9:00Speaker 6: and it causes people to act weird, I mean strangely.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Now, sir, I've looked into the sky I'm in I'm
- 9:09Speaker 1: an habitual early riser, like even when the sun comes
- 9:13Speaker 1: up super this morning. I'm saying, even when the sun
- 9:16Speaker 1: is up, So moon, the moon is why you're late. No,
- 9:21Speaker 1: I say that, I said the people that was No, No, No,
- 9:24Speaker 1: that would explain it. He said, makes people act wirmen.
- 9:27Speaker 1: That's not him, that's not him acting weird. Him one
- 9:30Speaker 1: minute before the show started. That's not weird for him.
- 9:35Speaker 1: So no, yeah, man, don't tell this to your kids. Broh.
- 9:42Speaker 1: They don't miss around to institutionalize you. But let's Jared
- 9:48Speaker 1: wants you to call him oh boy. Now he doesn't
- 9:50Speaker 1: want you to use his name anymore. He says, you're
- 9:54Speaker 1: just you enable him. That's it, he says, don't do
- 9:58Speaker 1: that job to help the guy understand you can find
- 10:03Speaker 1: humor with sensible stuff antidotes without having to try to
- 10:09Speaker 1: reach outside the box. Antoine said, he's showing you the
- 10:14Speaker 1: effects of the full I mean because I haven't seen
- 10:19Speaker 1: the full moon. I look up all the time and
- 10:20Speaker 1: I still haven't seen it. It's in that quarter. But
- 10:23Speaker 1: tonight the vikings What quarter? What quarter? Did you You
- 10:29Speaker 1: keep talking like we know what you're talking about. He
- 10:32Speaker 1: doesn't know what he's talking You have the half. Well,
- 10:34Speaker 1: nobody pays attention. Nobody lives their life on a quarter
- 10:37Speaker 1: I'm talking about most of us are surprised when it's
- 10:40Speaker 1: a full moon. We drive down the road, we look
- 10:42Speaker 1: to the right, we look to the left, or we
- 10:44Speaker 1: look straight, or we look through the rearview mirror and
- 10:46Speaker 1: we look up and think, hey, it's a full moon tonight,
- 10:50Speaker 1: And that how you typically find out it's a full moon.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I don't track it through the calendar, and the next
- 10:57Speaker 1: one's January. Uh, what's today?
- 11:00Speaker 7: Neither do I care when it's the full moon. So
- 11:06Speaker 7: let's relax with that man and let me say, now
- 11:09Speaker 7: you come here with that Mason, no, no.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Shot, just just to see he is killing her, killing me. Yeah,
- 11:18Speaker 1: we're gonna stop. The first full moon, the first full
- 11:22Speaker 1: moon of twenty twenty five will be on January thirteenth,
- 11:31Speaker 1: the first full moon. So that's today. That's why I'm
- 11:34Speaker 1: you was in the fact the lad came in last week.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Never mind, We'll be back and try to have a
- 11:40Speaker 1: real show and not some national inchoirer book of idiotity
- 11:47Speaker 1: by the bad producer. We're going to change his sounds
- 11:51Speaker 1: back right after this. I want people making Cavic to Brinda,
- 11:57Speaker 1: is this talking pellam?
- 11:59Speaker 8: But your head is about to get Joe bow.

- 13:27Speaker 11: We've all felt left out, and for some that feeling

- 13:43Speaker 12: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 13:47Speaker 12: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 13:49Speaker 12: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes where
- 13:52Speaker 12: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 13:55Speaker 12: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 13:59Speaker 12: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 14:02Speaker 12: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 14:06Speaker 12: a positive. I knew I needed more tools on my
- 14:09Speaker 12: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 14:12Speaker 12: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 14:14Speaker 12: father that I knew I could be.
- 14:16Speaker 13: I think just being that good role model as well,
- 14:19Speaker 13: that model's good behavior in front of them, going to
- 14:22Speaker 13: work every day, coming home and being able to put
- 14:25Speaker 13: on that smile. The biggest reward about being a dad

- 14:55Speaker 8: can afford.

- 14:58Speaker 1: It's time to present but the Day on the Sports
- 15:01Speaker 1: Jock's taking it to a completely different level this year.
- 15:04Speaker 8: Where we highlight an accolade that has taken their game
- 15:07Speaker 8: to the next level.
- 15:12Speaker 16: Yeah, I'm trying to claim things I haven't earned.
- 15:30Speaker 6: Bon Us man snick rigging out on this jam blood
- 15:34Speaker 6: kid time on a SENSU brand, trying to help raise eze.
- 15:37Speaker 16: You.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Welcome back to this What Shock Show. I'm this What
- 15:40Speaker 1: Shock Dwayne Gantee. It's all about the you. It's all
- 15:45Speaker 1: about the you. That's what Carson Beck is letting everybody know.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Out of Georgia. The superstar quarterback declared for the NFL
- 15:54Speaker 1: for about a week and we talked about it here
- 15:57Speaker 1: on the show. I said that the best thing I
- 15:59Speaker 1: think that Carson Beck could do but go back to college.
- 16:04Speaker 1: He didn't have the year last year that I think
- 16:07Speaker 1: would have even solidified him to be a first round pick.
- 16:11Speaker 1: And when that's in question, you don't want to take
- 16:15Speaker 1: that chance when you have the ability to go out
- 16:18Speaker 1: and solidify that come back player, get healthy, because at
- 16:23Speaker 1: this point with his elbow, he was not going to
- 16:25Speaker 1: be able to throw performed like he probably wanted to
- 16:29Speaker 1: in the Combine and things like that pro date, so
- 16:34Speaker 1: that won't allow him to reafirm his position with teams.
- 16:39Speaker 1: But he decided to come back and head to South Beach.
- 16:45Speaker 1: For some that might know and some that don't, the
- 16:48Speaker 1: young lady that Carson Beck dates, she plays basketball for
- 16:55Speaker 1: the University of Miami, and she left ash year. Her
- 17:02Speaker 1: and her twin sister, the Cavender sisters. They left. There
- 17:07Speaker 1: was word that they might go join the w w E.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I guess maybe the lucrative nil money drew him back
- 17:15Speaker 1: to Miami to play one more year. But now Georgia Bulldog,
- 17:21Speaker 1: I mean, a guy that was in the Heisman consideration
- 17:24Speaker 1: when the season started now is at the University of Miami,
- 17:29Speaker 1: where we just saw cam Ward make himself a top
- 17:34Speaker 1: ten pick in the draft in that system, and I
- 17:39Speaker 1: think that's something that you cannot hold against the player
- 17:43Speaker 1: the bo knicks from the Broncos yesterday. If he had
- 17:47Speaker 1: left Auburn with what we saw at Auburn them four years,
- 17:53Speaker 1: he probably would have been maybe a third round pick.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Most people would have kind of maybe got him as
- 17:59Speaker 1: a project or a backup quarterback. He left when the
- 18:03Speaker 1: Oregon for two years developed his past game and now
- 18:07Speaker 1: and became a top ten, top fifteen pick. I forget
- 18:11Speaker 1: which one he went and ended up in Denver and
- 18:14Speaker 1: ended up in the playoffs and looks looks like a
- 18:17Speaker 1: quarterback complete different bow knicks out there. Guys, are you surprised?
- 18:23Speaker 1: I guess that he didn't go back to Georgia. Would
- 18:27Speaker 1: that be the biggest surprise of this story? There's not
- 18:31Speaker 1: so much. Him coming back is not as surprising as
- 18:34Speaker 1: where he might have went to coming back after so
- 18:36Speaker 1: long at george.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Well, I think that in this new landscape, maybe the money,
- 18:46Speaker 5: maybe the opportunities for lucrative nil deals, drew him to Miami.
- 18:52Speaker 5: But if he hadn't done what it was that he
- 18:56Speaker 5: was supposed to do in the time that he was
- 18:58Speaker 5: at Georgia already, how was that system going to showcase
- 19:01Speaker 5: him differently this upcoming season? Like, uh, you know, a
- 19:07Speaker 5: lot of what I see Georgia's game predicated on is
- 19:11Speaker 5: their defense. So I mean, they've always had a serviceable,
- 19:15Speaker 5: really good quarterback, and a lot of those guys go
- 19:17Speaker 5: straight to the NFL, but if they're not.
- 19:21Speaker 1: First round, top three.
- 19:23Speaker 5: Four or five pick, they usually don't get talked about much.
- 19:27Speaker 5: So for him to go back there where he's already
- 19:31Speaker 5: been the starting guy and still wasn't that guy guy.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Maybe he'll shine a lot brighter in Miami. Yeah you're
- 19:38Speaker 1: a bulldog.
- 19:39Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, they pretty much his after the gunner came
- 19:44Speaker 6: in had went down with the injury. You know, Georgia
- 19:48Speaker 6: fans was already on the fence because of this year.
- 19:50Speaker 6: He didn't have the year as we stated that he
- 19:52Speaker 6: should have. They felt that he should have had. And
- 19:56Speaker 6: then then you get everybody talking about the money deal,
- 19:59Speaker 6: uh and and everything, and you got people in Miami
- 20:02Speaker 6: saying the cam Ward bring him up, saying that he
- 20:04Speaker 6: was disrespected because he wasn't getting paid as much as
- 20:07Speaker 6: Carson back. But they don't realize that a lot of
- 20:10Speaker 6: this stuff is sponsorship money and it's not really coming
- 20:12Speaker 6: from the those where they think it was coming from.
- 20:15Speaker 1: What people I haven't seen anything, not one. I seen
- 20:19Speaker 1: one person. Well you got he hadn't even gotten Miami
- 20:23Speaker 1: really yet.
- 20:23Speaker 6: Austin Bondley, a writer full of Miami Carson Beck's reported
- 20:28Speaker 6: an ideals flat out disrespect for the cam Ward. He's
- 20:30Speaker 6: one of Like I said, you have people that are
- 20:33Speaker 6: writing did say different things.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Now, how would he have added that up? When you
- 20:40Speaker 1: say how we I don't know how he came to
- 20:41Speaker 1: that conclusion. So I'm just I'm slow down. I'm not
- 20:44Speaker 1: against you. I'm just trying to say when people throw
- 20:47Speaker 1: things out and you read them. Remember we're in the
- 20:49Speaker 1: twenty four hour news cycles. Everybody throw things out really
- 20:54Speaker 1: just to draw attention to themselves. They don't care whether
- 20:58Speaker 1: it's real or not. So how do you know that
- 21:01Speaker 1: if cam Ward had came back to Miami, if he
- 21:05Speaker 1: had another year, that wouldn't have been the four million
- 21:08Speaker 1: dollars they gave him. Does he have any evidence of that?
- 21:12Speaker 1: Or he's just going off of last year? I would
- 21:15Speaker 1: say he's going off for last year. Okay, so he
- 21:17Speaker 1: doesn't know. And how much did cam Ward get last year?
- 21:22Speaker 1: Cam Ward made round one point six million. Now did
- 21:25Speaker 1: cam Ward tell them that did kim Ward, tell, who
- 21:33Speaker 1: is who told you? What I made? The ni LA
- 21:37Speaker 1: is not some kind of contractual monetary device. You don't
- 21:45Speaker 1: know what somebody actually is getting. You're just projecting of
- 21:48Speaker 1: what you think. Most of the time those are like
- 21:52Speaker 1: they are called evaluations of what you think somebody is getting.
- 21:58Speaker 1: So so it sounds just one of those aspects. I'm
- 22:02Speaker 1: just gonna try to ride in. And another thing, maybe
- 22:05Speaker 1: Carson Beck thinks that, uh cam Moore was considered for
- 22:11Speaker 1: the Heisman down there, wasn't he.
- 22:13Speaker 5: Yeah, well he was a follow us, That's what I'm saying. So,
- 22:17Speaker 5: I mean, maybe this is the system.
- 22:20Speaker 6: But they're saying that he's getting fair market value by
- 22:23Speaker 6: coming to Miami.
- 22:24Speaker 5: What and what difference would it make about cam Ward's
- 22:28Speaker 5: position at Miami when he's now going to the NFL.
- 22:33Speaker 1: He doesn't care about that. That was that was the gravy.
- 22:37Speaker 1: It used to be.
- 22:38Speaker 5: They had to throw us this little one million dollars
- 22:41Speaker 5: under the table.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I'd have got a hundred thousand back in the day
- 22:44Speaker 1: because they'd had to give it to me all cash
- 22:46Speaker 1: or buy my mom a trailer. Now I can just
- 22:49Speaker 1: get the one point seven and sit around and prepare
- 22:52Speaker 1: myself for my next level in the NFL, which they'll
- 22:55Speaker 1: list the money that I get there. I think Carson
- 22:58Speaker 1: Beck saw this as maybe the system that Georgia is
- 23:01Speaker 1: running versus the system that Miami is running and give
- 23:04Speaker 1: him a better ability to show what the pros want
- 23:08Speaker 1: him to see from him exactly. I think that's the
- 23:12Speaker 1: same reason I used the bow knicks thing. Yes, what
- 23:15Speaker 1: Auburn was doing with bow Knicks and what Organ did
- 23:17Speaker 1: when it was two different, two different things things, and
- 23:20Speaker 1: you can see me in a much different light. It's
- 23:22Speaker 1: like a Jaylen Milroe if he decided to leave and
- 23:25Speaker 1: come back, because he's another guy I believed should go
- 23:27Speaker 1: back to college, he should find just like my guide
- 23:31Speaker 1: the Eagles. What's the quarterbacks name? Jalen Hurts went and
- 23:35Speaker 1: found somewhere to learn how to throw when he went
- 23:39Speaker 1: to Oklahoma. I think it's just similar. We'll be back

- 27:22Speaker 1: I'm this what Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you
- 27:25Speaker 1: out there listening. Land Glad to be here with you.
- 27:28Speaker 1: We left talking about Carson bed headed to Miami. I
- 27:32Speaker 1: think one thing too before we move on to the NFL.
- 27:35Speaker 1: There is the NIO deal, and then there's the collective
- 27:40Speaker 1: what they call a collective where everybody is getting a check.
- 27:45Speaker 1: So a school like Notre Dame who's playing in a
- 27:47Speaker 1: national title game, their scholarship players, they all get one
- 27:53Speaker 1: check that is the same, right, almost like a check
- 27:56Speaker 1: for being one scholarship at Notre Dame. It was something
- 28:01Speaker 1: that someone like a Nick Saban and a couple of
- 28:04Speaker 1: coaches were trying to pioneer to create more of a
- 28:08Speaker 1: balance to where the money is not just going to
- 28:11Speaker 1: the same four guys that has always went to for
- 28:15Speaker 1: the last one hundred years. It just used to be
- 28:18Speaker 1: not spoken. But the running back, the star receiver, the
- 28:22Speaker 1: star line, you know the same people, and when we
- 28:25Speaker 1: report it's the same thing. It's always Carson Beck or
- 28:29Speaker 1: you know someone that's getting the money and the line
- 28:33Speaker 1: and positions like that tight end. They're getting q pons
- 28:37Speaker 1: the Hooters, which if you've ever been, is in decent day.
- 28:42Speaker 1: But the collectives are starting to especially with which state
- 28:46Speaker 1: you live in, where you really can go as a
- 28:49Speaker 1: scholarship player make eighty ninety thousand dollars a year outside
- 28:54Speaker 1: of whatever your individual NIL deals might be. Also, you
- 28:59Speaker 1: should let that write. No, maybe the University of Miami
- 29:02Speaker 1: had to outbid someone. I thought about that part too,
- 29:08Speaker 1: Carson Carson Beck says, because you got to offer me
- 29:11Speaker 1: something equivalent to what I think I could have made
- 29:14Speaker 1: as a draft pick in year one. I come back.
- 29:18Speaker 1: I got a lot of power. I'm Carson Beck from Georgia,
- 29:21Speaker 1: proven product for the most part. Yeah, and I got
- 29:25Speaker 1: a couple of teams and you got to outbid me.
- 29:31Speaker 6: So before it was a quick process because he was
- 29:33Speaker 6: only in the portal for twenty four hours.
- 29:34Speaker 1: So and that's the leverage. This, all of this has
- 29:38Speaker 1: been strategized to push numbers.
- 29:42Speaker 5: Up because you understand that this is a business now.
- 29:45Speaker 5: So the same way that they have predictions and prognostications
- 29:50Speaker 5: of where players go in the draft and other teams
- 29:53Speaker 5: know who's planning to draft them, they're putting everything together,
- 29:56Speaker 5: so when we come to you, we've got our plan
- 29:59Speaker 5: to to gather. So the minute he went into the portal,
- 30:03Speaker 5: the teams interested started chatting and somebody was just like,
- 30:08Speaker 5: look can you beat this number?
- 30:10Speaker 1: Okay, come play for us. Similar to as I said
- 30:13Speaker 1: the young lady, he is rumored to be dating one
- 30:16Speaker 1: of the Cavender sisters. They had decided they were going
- 30:19Speaker 1: to leave. They had built up enough fame and they
- 30:23Speaker 1: were going to try their hand out basically social media,
- 30:27Speaker 1: reality TV WWE. Those companies that would have been trying
- 30:31Speaker 1: to get them would have had to be offering them
- 30:33Speaker 1: more than what they could have just went back to
- 30:35Speaker 1: the University of Miami and walked around and made playing basketball.
- 30:40Speaker 1: And that's why I called College PCL. It's the professional
- 30:45Speaker 1: college League, That's all it is. And that's why I
- 30:48Speaker 1: keep asking and keep throwing on the table. I will
- 30:51Speaker 1: continue to do it. Why leave? Why do I have
- 30:56Speaker 1: to stop playing college football? Why? Why? Captive audience here,
- 31:02Speaker 1: I've got Carroll, I have to if I'm Carson back
- 31:07Speaker 1: ever stopped playing college football? Ever? Ever? When was Georgia founder?
- 31:13Speaker 1: I'm saying, does any why? When when was Georgia founded?
- 31:17Speaker 1: Eighteen eleven something like that up eighteen ninety three up
- 31:22Speaker 1: until twenty twenty five. My fan base is a minute.
- 31:26Speaker 1: If you're still alive and you're Georgia Love, now, you'll
- 31:29Speaker 1: root for me for every year that I play here,
- 31:32Speaker 1: and then they'll pay me, and so I can just
- 31:35Speaker 1: stay here. All the girls think I'm cute. Why can't
- 31:37Speaker 1: Jennie get pay for beer anyway? Why not? Why can't
- 31:43Speaker 1: he just go and be Dave? J Stroud is going
- 31:47Speaker 1: back to Ohio State? Well that's what. Then I have
- 31:50Speaker 1: to go down here to Ohio. But why can't I
- 31:55Speaker 1: just go back? Why can't I go back? The money
- 31:57Speaker 1: will follow me where I go. I don't have to.
- 32:00Speaker 1: I can make three I can make three million dollars
- 32:02Speaker 1: as a backup for the stillers. I can go make
- 32:04Speaker 1: four million dollars at Western Idaho. Who willing to pay that?
- 32:10Speaker 1: Why can't? I'm really serious? People think I'd be jumping
- 32:14Speaker 1: if it's just gonna be professional ball, Because shouldn't it
- 32:17Speaker 1: just be professional ball?
- 32:19Speaker 10: What we've seen with the the new ruling that junior
- 32:26Speaker 10: that you can play on the JUCO level, that you'll
- 32:29Speaker 10: still have the four years when you go up to
- 32:33Speaker 10: the Division one level, and someone put laid out that
- 32:37Speaker 10: theoretically someone could play eleven years of college football by
- 32:43Speaker 10: using red shirts or getting an extra year somehow you
- 32:47Speaker 10: could do that for a.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Medical red shirt. There's a red shirt. There's a medical
- 32:51Speaker 1: red shirt. Yeah, on top of your two JUCO that's
- 32:54Speaker 1: four and then your four or five in college. That
- 32:57Speaker 1: Elaine Coffin is pounding the table. You got a couple
- 33:01Speaker 1: of college coaches that's saying you should just be able
- 33:02Speaker 1: to play the five years without the red shirt. So
- 33:07Speaker 1: at that so yet that that was a red shirt,
- 33:09Speaker 1: that's six plus the two JUCO years. If you wait
- 33:12Speaker 1: that round seven, pluss a medical red shirt for that
- 33:16Speaker 1: one year I did get hurt. We could do a
- 33:19Speaker 1: reflective best year. So yeah, it could be as a
- 33:26Speaker 1: friend for you know, that's a friend off air. Please
- 33:29Speaker 1: give me. I've been looking for an answer for somebody
- 33:32Speaker 1: to show me why that and if you and if
- 33:35Speaker 1: you could do ten years in college, that's longer than
- 33:37Speaker 1: some NFL careers. You could play that ten years in
- 33:41Speaker 1: college and just afge NFL career is still three and
- 33:44Speaker 1: a half. Most people get three and a half.
- 33:46Speaker 5: They back home, So you know, you get ten in college.
- 33:49Speaker 5: You can retire I'm serious, you can retire NFL action
- 33:56Speaker 5: this weekend.
- 33:57Speaker 1: The Stillers did not look like still look more like
- 34:02Speaker 1: silk this weekend up in Baltimore, mainly in that first
- 34:08Speaker 1: half where they let the Ravens get out to a
- 34:10Speaker 1: twenty one to zero lead at half. Showed a little
- 34:14Speaker 1: fight there in the second half. The Ravens moving on
- 34:18Speaker 1: now headed to Buffalo to take on Josh Allen and
- 34:24Speaker 1: that crew on a Sunday at six point thirty. But
- 34:29Speaker 1: the Stillers have a lot of questions in the offseason.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Do we go justin fields? Do we try to bring
- 34:35Speaker 1: back Russell Wilson once again? Something I think they felt
- 34:41Speaker 1: like they was plugging, which is the quarterback position is
- 34:46Speaker 1: back to being open of what direction to go with.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Now they've been able to pull the Las Vegas Raiders
- 34:59Speaker 1: Cleveland Brown situation and win, mainly because they kept the
- 35:05Speaker 1: same head coach. But they Stillers have had since been Roethlisberger.
- 35:10Speaker 1: It's been a little carousel of quarterbacks now. Dug hodges
- 35:15Speaker 1: On left and married a country music star. Remember Dug
- 35:20Speaker 1: hodges Yeah, I mean Landy Wilson or yeah, and I'm
- 35:28Speaker 1: like Duck, But we've allated a country music style. I'm
- 35:32Speaker 1: just saying, Dunk ain't. But like thirty, you ain't give
- 35:34Speaker 1: it another track. Duck he ready on tour. He got
- 35:40Speaker 1: it a hound dog, you got my bottle of whiskey.
- 35:42Speaker 1: He played the games. Come on now, come on, now,
- 35:47Speaker 1: that's a career in the NFL A branch. That's what
- 35:50Speaker 1: you end up with. A hound dog, a pick up truck,
- 35:52Speaker 1: and a bottle of whiskey. And like you ain't gonna
- 35:58Speaker 1: just try to. But I'm just giving one of the examples.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Duck can he. Pickett has been through their Trubisky has
- 36:06Speaker 1: been through there. Now we got Russell, we got Justin Fields,
- 36:11Speaker 1: Mason Rudolph rd. Yeah he was dating the tennis star right, yeah,
- 36:18Speaker 1: from Canada. So we've had a carousel here since Ben,
- 36:22Speaker 1: and Ben has been retired now five years. See next
- 36:27Speaker 1: year he'll be up for the Hall of Fame. Yep.
- 36:30Speaker 1: So in just that five year window, we just named
- 36:32Speaker 1: off what three six quarterbacks? Yeah? Seven? Well, and I'm
- 36:37Speaker 1: just saying like six quarterbacks in that tenure. So the
- 36:41Speaker 1: Steelers are back there, and it's more problems with the Steelers,
- 36:44Speaker 1: just like there's more problems with most of these teams,
- 36:46Speaker 1: because I keep telling you myself, for the job I do,
- 36:50Speaker 1: we say the quarterbacks name as much as possible. They
- 36:54Speaker 1: love it. It's hard for me to fight not to
- 36:57Speaker 1: give the game ball the producer and the truck, the
- 36:59Speaker 1: fan as that want to see. They want to give
- 37:01Speaker 1: the game ball to the quarterback each and every game
- 37:04Speaker 1: if they want to. They asked us about what little
- 37:07Speaker 1: vote I already know. I don't know why you're asking me.
- 37:12Speaker 1: No matter how many yards the receiver has, no matter
- 37:15Speaker 1: how many yards of running back had, if the quarterback
- 37:18Speaker 1: had any kind of good game, they want to make
- 37:21Speaker 1: them to play of the game. Yeah, and that's kind
- 37:24Speaker 1: of how people keep seeing their team. Oh we need
- 37:28Speaker 1: a quarterback, Well, you need everything. That's how you win.
- 37:36Speaker 1: You needed everything because they do need to have a
- 37:39Speaker 1: quarterback and receiver that can't catch or running back and
- 37:43Speaker 1: no olne you need everything. That's how you win. Or
- 37:47Speaker 1: if they wouldn't have the position, do you do? It's
- 37:49Speaker 1: eleven people out there, each player, right.
- 37:51Speaker 5: Do you think that a lot of these teams are
- 37:54Speaker 5: getting these quarterbacks based on their what they perceive as
- 37:58Speaker 5: their ability to market these players. I mean, because we
- 38:01Speaker 5: don't really see people at other positions showing that personality,
- 38:07Speaker 5: maybe because they're not asking them questions, maybe because they
- 38:10Speaker 5: don't want to give them the game ball. But it's
- 38:14Speaker 5: it's not like they have to win anymore to get
- 38:17Speaker 5: these contracts. It's not like they have to win anymore
- 38:19Speaker 5: to get all of these great following. So if we
- 38:21Speaker 5: get somebody that chickens sell some tickets, we're doing okay.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I mean because a lot of what what what? Sometimes
- 38:28Speaker 1: I feel like I see our dudes just I'm here
- 38:32Speaker 1: because I'm just a little bit better than the dude
- 38:35Speaker 1: behind me. I'm not outstanding. We'll talk about on the

- 39:59Speaker 4: Hi.
- 39:59Speaker 11: I'm Ryan Lay, a third generation race car driver, and
- 40:02Speaker 11: we dedicate a lot of our time to going as
- 40:04Speaker 11: fast as possible. My Grandpa lou is the reason why
- 40:06Speaker 11: my dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud
- 40:08Speaker 11: to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was
- 40:10Speaker 11: diagnosed with Alzheimer's it was a very unexpected bump in

- 41:37Speaker 1: About some of the action on Saturday, the AFC Wildcard
- 41:39Speaker 1: playoff game. The Ravens beat up on the Stillers. Uh,
- 41:43Speaker 1: it was more about the Ravens defense than anything. Yes,
- 41:48Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson had a solid day throwing the ball around
- 41:52Speaker 1: and Derrick Henry had a magical day running for close
- 41:57Speaker 1: to two hundred yards on the ground. Ever since that
- 42:02Speaker 1: first lost to Pittsburgh, the last two times the Ravens
- 42:04Speaker 1: have played the Stillers, the guy that I thought they
- 42:07Speaker 1: should give the ball to, they've been doing that Derrick Henry.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I thought that's why you brought him there to beat
- 42:14Speaker 1: the Stillers, And the last two times you've used him,
- 42:17Speaker 1: he's had dominant knights. And as I said, the Steelers
- 42:20Speaker 1: have more problems than just who's that quarterback. They rushed
- 42:25Speaker 1: for thirty yards as a team. I don't know what
- 42:30Speaker 1: that is. We could do that for a Stiller team.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Thirty yards in a game on eleven carries. That doesn't
- 42:38Speaker 1: even look right like a misprint when you talk about
- 42:40Speaker 1: the Stellers. So big questions for the off seaton season
- 42:44Speaker 1: for Mike Tomlin and as we know a lot of people,
- 42:49Speaker 1: the Stellers, a lot of places tumbling would have been
- 42:51Speaker 1: let go by Now he has some record where he's
- 42:57Speaker 1: never had a losing season, but it just that's it.
- 43:01Speaker 1: I just ain't had a losing season. But that just
- 43:03Speaker 1: means in one game better but called that's what the
- 43:09Speaker 1: kids will called mid me. Okay, Okay, big Kenny. You
- 43:13Speaker 1: don't smoke med though I did not if it exists, No, yeah,
- 43:22Speaker 1: I don't even do that stuff was back. That was
- 43:25Speaker 1: back in the snap rap days. You know what I'm saying.
- 43:29Speaker 6: Last with you saying that, do you think Mike Tomlin
- 43:33Speaker 6: he still good coach. There's a lot of great teams
- 43:35Speaker 6: out there.
- 43:36Speaker 15: Uh.
- 43:37Speaker 1: I think it's changed the scenery. Possibly. I think he'll
- 43:41Speaker 1: do just like Belichick if he left, he'll do just
- 43:44Speaker 1: like Rabel. Mike Rabel now as the new head coach
- 43:46Speaker 1: of the New England Patriots. I think, uh, some of
- 43:49Speaker 1: why Gerarmeo was let go was that Mike Rabel was
- 43:53Speaker 1: ready to come back to coaching. I think that's who
- 43:55Speaker 1: the Patriots wanted to hire last year. But most likely
- 44:00Speaker 1: Mike just like we saw him kind of just he
- 44:02Speaker 1: didn't take the TV road or nothing, just when he
- 44:05Speaker 1: got some rest. I think coaches when that window opens
- 44:09Speaker 1: where they can breathe for a minute. Sean Payton did
- 44:11Speaker 1: it when he left the Saints for like two years,
- 44:14Speaker 1: just went and got some air, you know, came up
- 44:18Speaker 1: for a little oxygen, and then went back in with
- 44:21Speaker 1: the Broncos. I think Vrabel And that's part of why
- 44:25Speaker 1: when I saw that hiring, I was thinking, Yeah, that's
- 44:27Speaker 1: most likely who they wanted. They didn't necessarily have a
- 44:31Speaker 1: timeline of when he would, but we'll go with the
- 44:33Speaker 1: safe bet somebody we know and put Mayo in there,
- 44:37Speaker 1: and it become available. They went and got him. So
- 44:40Speaker 1: now and where's Mayo going now? Is he going back
- 44:43Speaker 1: and hopefully come here to or back to the defensive
- 44:46Speaker 1: coordinator for the Patriots? Defensive coordinator? How the Patriots do it?
- 44:51Speaker 1: You know, the Patriots is one of those teams. Think
- 44:53Speaker 1: about how many guys have come in and went ahead,
- 44:56Speaker 1: coaches come back to be coordinators. So I wouldn't be
- 44:59Speaker 1: surprised if Abel, you know, didn't make him the DC,
- 45:05Speaker 1: or at least ask him that's what he was doing
- 45:07Speaker 1: before they gave That's what I was thinking. At least
- 45:09Speaker 1: ask him about it the Falcons. They released their defensive
- 45:13Speaker 1: coordinator Jimmy Lake this week as well or this weekend.
- 45:20Speaker 1: I don't know Jimmy Lake. Only one year I thought.
- 45:24Speaker 1: I really applauded the Falcon team a lot. I don't
- 45:31Speaker 1: see what everybody. I don't know why I would fire.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I mean, that's all I had was the jap fire
- 45:37Speaker 1: coaches for having more and doing less right. You had
- 45:44Speaker 1: no pass rusher. And when I say that for you
- 45:49Speaker 1: people who have never been in a meeting with the
- 45:51Speaker 1: old line, meaning that who did you circle on the board,
- 45:58Speaker 1: there's no somebody got to get the circle. If nobody
- 46:01Speaker 1: gets the circle, y'all are gonna lose. Right. That means
- 46:06Speaker 1: you don't have the people. That means you know you
- 46:12Speaker 1: The defense that you're scared of is the one where
- 46:14Speaker 1: you got to You got multiple people. We don't know
- 46:16Speaker 1: which direction to go. Who take Big Kenny out the game,
- 46:20Speaker 1: take commands Greg out the game? The Falcons have a defense?
- 46:26Speaker 1: Who who is I supposed to be scared of? Well? No,
- 46:31Speaker 1: two years ago. Yes, Brady gonna make Hi play still
- 46:35Speaker 1: because he's a great player, but not to the point
- 46:37Speaker 1: I have to circle him. I feel like my guard.
- 46:41Speaker 1: It needs help all day, right, But who am I
- 46:45Speaker 1: supposed to be afraid of Kirk coussins or on offense?
- 46:51Speaker 1: I know, but either quarterback and quarterback. But I'm just
- 46:56Speaker 1: asking you, when you're looking at your defense, if you
- 47:00Speaker 1: want to evaluate it, which players you start doing that too?
- 47:06Speaker 1: That linebacker you had, he came on. He had a
- 47:08Speaker 1: great year, I can't remember, fifty five or fifty a
- 47:14Speaker 1: surprising year. You wouldn't know the circle him before the year.
- 47:17Speaker 1: But I'm just giving you an example. Jimmy late wasn't
- 47:19Speaker 1: working with this monster defense that in one year. You
- 47:25Speaker 1: can put that on him. So we will see where
- 47:30Speaker 1: the Falcons go with that. But ever changing Falcons, they
- 47:34Speaker 1: never really are. Do you think that was a look Rahiem,
- 47:37Speaker 1: somebody gotta go? You were him? Hey, Jimmy Man, I'm
- 47:40Speaker 1: sorry they said you gotta go. I think Rahim should
- 47:44Speaker 1: just run the defense. Well he did take over the
- 47:47Speaker 1: last three games and just run the defense. That's what
- 47:49Speaker 1: you do, That's all I don't you know, right, So
- 47:55Speaker 1: we'll see where they go with that. But Rabels in
- 47:58Speaker 1: New England, any other head coach get higher? No, not yet,
- 48:02Speaker 1: not yet? Okay, Carson Beck went back any other college news.
- 48:09Speaker 1: No championship games Monday.
- 48:10Speaker 10: Next Monday, we're going to hear a lot about how
- 48:15Speaker 10: Marcus Freeman played at Ohio State and now he's Yeah,
- 48:19Speaker 10: we're going to hear a bunch of that.
- 48:20Speaker 1: It's already started. Oh, I didn't know he played at
- 48:23Speaker 1: Ohio He played dropping the picture? What position a linebacker?
- 48:29Speaker 1: They dropping picture?
- 48:30Speaker 23: Was?
- 48:30Speaker 1: He kind of on the side linebacker?
- 48:31Speaker 10: He was there with uh lourd nightis James lordiis.
- 48:36Speaker 1: He's a tiny I even knew that story that he's
- 48:41Speaker 1: a small sized linebacker. Maybe he's got a lot of heart. Yeah, well,
- 48:45Speaker 1: good for him. We played at Ohio State. Now he's
- 48:48Speaker 1: coaching against them. But we've heard that story, right, haven't we.
- 48:52Speaker 1: That's not like a how long ago.
- 48:54Speaker 10: Was this uh that he played there? Yes, that was
- 48:58Speaker 10: two thousand and six. Oh okay, okay, we'll be back
- 49:03Speaker 10: water sports Joah show. Marcus Freeman played for Ohio State.
- 49:06Speaker 10: Now he's a nice head coaching Notre Dame. How about
- 49:10Speaker 10: we just get the game played and.
- 49:13Speaker 1: It moved up. Can we get it moved up three days?
- 49:16Speaker 1: Because we know that now we'll be back right after this. Boy,
- 49:20Speaker 1: I know what told you. I'll be true and Latina
- 49:24Speaker 1: got a big old boy. So I'm leaving you. Tina

- 52:14Speaker 1: We talked about Russell Wilson. What will it be his
- 52:16Speaker 1: future with Pittsburgh justin fields as what Dion Sanders reports, Sorry,
- 52:23Speaker 1: there is one team that he is interested in coaching.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Our radar frame from New York was hostile when I
- 52:31Speaker 1: passed information over to him. You ever passed some information
- 52:36Speaker 1: to someone and then it made you feel like, you
- 52:38Speaker 1: know what, I'm just not going to ever pass information
- 52:40Speaker 1: onto you because you want of those people that killed
- 52:42Speaker 1: a messenger. I'm just passing you news and you're making
- 52:46Speaker 1: it seem hell it was bad news. Well, I just
- 52:51Speaker 1: news is news. An't you took the job, that's all.
- 52:58Speaker 1: But Dean says that from what the report says, he
- 53:03Speaker 1: would take that Raiders job with the ability in his mind,
- 53:09Speaker 1: I guess to draft should do. He had to be
- 53:14Speaker 1: able to coach his sons. They say that he keeps
- 53:18Speaker 1: telling people, keep telling teams what teams not to draft
- 53:23Speaker 1: his son, like you know, no, we're not going there,
- 53:26Speaker 1: when actually it's not.
- 53:27Speaker 16: You.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Well, there's two prominent teams in that because the Raiders
- 53:31Speaker 1: have the six pick. There's two prominent teams that look
- 53:34Speaker 1: like they will go quarterback, and that would be Tennessee
- 53:37Speaker 1: Titans and the New York Giants. The other four or
- 53:41Speaker 1: five picks up there could possibly, but you're not like sure,
- 53:47Speaker 1: where what will Cleveland do? We don't know. We don't
- 53:50Speaker 1: know how much money that Deshaun took. He just got
- 53:52Speaker 1: recently re injured with their leg. How much money can
- 53:58Speaker 1: they uh, you know, decide to continue to feed into
- 54:02Speaker 1: the quarterback position. We don't know. So anybody can draft anybody.
- 54:08Speaker 1: All you people out there so smart, it's like it's
- 54:11Speaker 1: hard to say something with somebody counterpointing you. There's five
- 54:15Speaker 1: picks before the Raiders, all five of them teams could
- 54:18Speaker 1: take quarterbacks. That's what they chose to do. That's true.
- 54:23Speaker 10: There's a case for each one.
- 54:25Speaker 1: I'm just giving you the two that seems to have
- 54:28Speaker 1: a clear runway to draft a quarterback, right, correct? Correct? Okay,
- 54:36Speaker 1: because when I talked that, I don't know the other
- 54:38Speaker 1: team could. I didn't know if they if they trade
- 54:41Speaker 1: down and then get them set up in the twenty
- 54:44Speaker 1: twenty seven draft, they're just doesn't seem for the Tech
- 54:48Speaker 1: Titans and for the Giants, there's no real issue to
- 54:53Speaker 1: draft them. The other three teams in front of the Raiders,
- 54:56Speaker 1: you kind of have to either replace somebody you just got,
- 55:01Speaker 1: like Jacksonville. You just have to make a big move,
- 55:04Speaker 1: right since you just gave Trevor Lawrence. I was gonna say,
- 55:07Speaker 1: you'd have to explain why. We just got to explain
- 55:11Speaker 1: this kind of Srationyrator fan in New York.
- 55:14Speaker 6: Though, Sports Illustrats reporting that they have the Raiders have
- 55:18Speaker 6: reportedly said they have no interest in hiring Dion Sanders
- 55:21Speaker 6: as a head coach. They just rease Sports Illustrated. Yeah,
- 55:24Speaker 6: last less last twenty four hours.
- 55:29Speaker 1: Yea, and the media always tell the truth. I was
- 55:32Speaker 1: just about to say, how that sounds like, no, no,
- 55:36Speaker 1: we just friends. I don't really even know how I
- 55:39Speaker 1: like that. And why is it? Because why is it
- 55:44Speaker 1: that everybody seems like they don't want Dion to go
- 55:46Speaker 1: to the Raiders. I don't know it only it's impossible
- 55:55Speaker 1: a way. No, they don't want him to go away.
- 55:57Speaker 1: It's just don't seem like they realized that he is
- 56:03Speaker 1: on the move. He's always on the move. What would
- 56:06Speaker 1: you like to see Dion go?
- 56:08Speaker 6: I like to see him stay in Colorado, just for
- 56:10Speaker 6: the kids and everything that he's bought in. At least
- 56:12Speaker 6: at least two more.
- 56:13Speaker 1: You give those. But he has no allegiance to Colorado.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I understand that, but at least give give me two
- 56:17Speaker 1: more right now, right now, right now, right now, now.
- 56:21Speaker 1: This just mean.
- 56:22Speaker 6: And then wherever your son get drafted, if the team
- 56:25Speaker 6: see there's a problem, you could come in and they say, hey,
- 56:28Speaker 6: let's bring Dion in.
- 56:29Speaker 25: Now.
- 56:29Speaker 1: How long? How long has Dion been in Colorado? Two seasons?
- 56:34Speaker 1: Two seasons he came there.
- 56:36Speaker 5: They were two and ten, yeah, one and eleven, one
- 56:41Speaker 5: and eleven, and in two seasons he took them to
- 56:45Speaker 5: the Alimo Ball correct and got them a Heisman Trophy winning.
- 56:51Speaker 1: My work here is done. I'm good. I can go
- 56:54Speaker 1: and do something else. I mean, now, unless you got
- 56:57Speaker 1: somebody that didn't cemitted there, like a see quicker at Colorado,
- 57:02Speaker 1: name that person. Yeah, but.
- 57:04Speaker 6: Stay to Georgia. Man, he took some dogs. He got
- 57:08Speaker 6: nothing to do with him talking. I'm just telling you
- 57:10Speaker 6: just stay two years, give them kids.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Give the kids. I can take them with me. I've
- 57:14Speaker 1: been there two years already.
- 57:15Speaker 25: This is not old.
- 57:16Speaker 1: This is not the eighties. Wherever I can oh, that's
- 57:20Speaker 1: how he built Colorado about.
- 57:22Speaker 6: Say Travis was the Jacksons state state to colin if
- 57:27Speaker 6: he go to the pros, I'm not I'm not thinking
- 57:29Speaker 6: what you're saying in college. My mindset is that he's
- 57:32Speaker 6: trying to go to the pros with just should do
- 57:35Speaker 6: it and I'm hoping that he's staying on the college level.
- 57:39Speaker 1: And that's why he went to college for your door.
- 57:43Speaker 1: He's the only coach your Doer's ever had. He left
- 57:48Speaker 1: wreck ball with your door to go to high school.
- 57:50Speaker 1: He became the offensive coordinator to be his coach. He
- 57:53Speaker 1: left there when you do It, went to college to
- 57:55Speaker 1: somewhere where he could take your door. So what do
- 58:00Speaker 1: you saying he doesn't know?
- 58:05Speaker 6: I just want I mean, like I said, I just
- 58:07Speaker 6: want to get him two more years of Colorado to
- 58:09Speaker 6: the kids that he's bought in and it just showed.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Um this year left some of them left to go
- 58:18Speaker 1: to other teams and show now you can take ju
- 58:21Speaker 1: Ju with him wherever he goes. That's part of why
- 58:25Speaker 1: a lot of coaches and programs are trying to come
- 58:28Speaker 1: up with some laws. That's why Marshall had to get
- 58:30Speaker 1: out of the Bowl game, right the head coach left
- 58:33Speaker 1: Marshall go to Southern miss Right, twenty five players transferred.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Miles College head coach took the Alabama think it's Alabama
- 58:43Speaker 1: A and M job, and everybody from Miles College is
- 58:47Speaker 1: now playing for Alabama A and M. So you know
- 58:51Speaker 1: he coach that way. Yeah, I just don't hear. He
- 58:54Speaker 1: check his coaches right. He move wherever he wants, he
- 58:57Speaker 1: take everything. We just stay on the college level. That's
- 59:02Speaker 1: all I'm open. Okay, okay, thanks, thanks for sharing. We'll
- 59:07Speaker 1: be back to sports it is. I won't to say
- 59:14Speaker 1: you're right now? Can you slip away? Slip away? Sway?
- 59:26Speaker 1: Oh I don't need you, so don't go away.
- 59:31Speaker 9: Or of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Damidius coming
- 59:34Speaker 9: up next.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Hear that.
- 59:40Speaker 26: That's the sound of your life, perfectly imperfect, beating in

- 1:01:38Speaker 1: That council, come to target, comes to Mark.
- 1:01:42Speaker 28: Is it just.
- 1:01:47Speaker 16: I'm gonna do it?
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Begin, I'm gonna go all the way? You may began,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: what direct? This was shock show? This was shock Wayne Game.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Good morning to you. We're on the thirteenth day of January.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: We moving right along in the new year. Have you
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: caught yourself writing twenty twenty four? Still? Have you caught
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: yourself Guys, don't typing or writing?
- 1:02:11Speaker 23: No.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I was going to say I don't write, but no, No,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: if you don't even write too much, you shouldn't write
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: all of you. You've reached the ages. You should find
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: something if it's just crossword puzzles and write, right, I haven't.
- 1:02:23Speaker 10: I haven't written down twenty twenty four yet because I'm like, wait,
- 1:02:27Speaker 10: what year is it for?
- 1:02:28Speaker 17: Right?
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: No, I'm just giving your technique that they tell you
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: once you cross over forty five you should find That's
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: why it cross the word puzzle, something where you actually
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: because it's a it's a. The only thing I still
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: write is jokes. Now, I do keep like actual pen
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: and paper, and they do actually mean right, Yeah, they
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: don't mean it's the only thing. Now, that's the only
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: thing that I physically use pen and paper for. Yeah,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: because you get the more you forget how to do
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: certain things, do certain things. So it's a cognitive to
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: thing of helping you with your memory. But you don't
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: have to. And that's why I just forget me. That's
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: why I write the jokes, is because while I'm writing it,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: it helps me to remember exactly. Yes, writing things help
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: you remember. You remember more writing than you do typing, Yes,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: you do. Typing is just a reflex and writing is
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: a process.
- 1:03:21Speaker 13: Yes it is.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: And I've lived that knowledge to be true, sir, It's true.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: It's still the truth. Monday Night Football, all the Vikings
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: versus the Ram eight pm tonight. Go Rams in that game.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Next Sun, I mean next Monday, we will have a
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: national title game. Notre Dame versus Ohio State. The Ohio
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: State that has been in the playoffs, the Ohio State
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: that has been talked about and grudged, especially their head
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: coach who you know. It's a perfect opportunity to win
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: a title, get naked and walk off. That's what I
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: would do. That's just the that's just the sports guy
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: in me. All that you were going to fire me
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: the other day, Right, all these seasons I give you,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: and just because I lost the Michigan but I'm giving
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: delivered to you twelve and one, thirteen and one fourteen
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: in one seasons. And oh but you didn't do this,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: and you think I should leave. I would win me
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: a national title, and right after I hold a trophy up,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I just take off all Ohio state stuff and leave.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Now are you retiring or just leaving? I'm leaving your program. Okay,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: take that, take my head. Take that. Let me take
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: your last memory of me, be the back of me,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: right because I'll be dang if I'm gonna always just
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: be judged off of one thing. What's that Michigan. You're
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: just judging me off of one thing at the end
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: of the year. That's just how I see it. I
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: don't think coaches take enough moments to do that, but
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: that's what I would do. They lost to Michigan, and
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: the next day I'm talking about anything you tuned in.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Gotta get this man out of here, big Kenny, gotta
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: you suck now. And I know you're like seventy and two.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: But you are a horrible coach. But I'm saying, I'm saying,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: if you're, if you're, if you're, if.
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: You're riding die Ohio State, shouldn't you understand that philosophy,
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: that mentality.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: Look, man, I get the seventy in two. We appreciate
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: that part. But the two are losses to who damn
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: amazing Blue. We don't say their name, them Blue, o them,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: We don't say their colors, we just save them are
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: losses to them. And so that's what we don't now.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: But but did you see how I beat Michigan State
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: last week?
- 1:06:13Speaker 16: Though?
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Yeah? But what about should coaches take it personally? I
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: would take this one personally. I would take if I
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: was rund Day, I would this one. I'm trying to
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: tell you for what he's done and how he's destroyed
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: the competition because he's had some decisive wins.
- 1:06:33Speaker 25: Oh.
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: I know Ohio, I know real Ohio State fans that
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: this is to our show. And they stated they wanted
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: him to leave. Yeah, and I would go if I
- 1:06:42Speaker 6: won this national title, I would just.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Leave and they would have to come and please please
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: don't go, don't leave. I'm talking about leaving not coming back.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: But it's over, over, over. Yes, we're talking about my
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: brother in law and his wife, my sister. They already
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: when we came down here to Atlanta. They went to
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Columbus and packed us up because they knew I didn't
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: get it back on the plane. None of that, None
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: of that. We just I TikTok all the players. Yeah,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: just and set it for later delivery. Just type them
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: all the text set to be delivered in the middle
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: of the night. The call for a person to be fired.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: As much as they clown this man when he lost
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: the Michigan they thought he now had won one game.
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: What do you say about the person that goes, oh,
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: that motivated him to get to where he is now?
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: How do you motivator? I was seventy and two, but
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: I gotta lose. But listen, this is crazy. There are
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: losses in this. Just like did Jim Harball just get
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: up his stuff and he's alumni for you know, he
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: just did it. He did it professionally, but he was
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: he's doing the same. He did the same thing to
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Michigan that I'm saying that he should. He's just left.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: He had no reason to leave. Michigan. They was giving
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: him the key. They were sneaking him in covertly.
- 1:08:16Speaker 10: C I A to meetings and spine and they look
- 1:08:19Speaker 10: like he left because of the n c a A
- 1:08:21Speaker 10: was coming well with whatever.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: But they was giving him that Wolverine power would have
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: protecting him.
- 1:08:29Speaker 10: Man everybody taking away. They didn't want the championship being
- 1:08:36Speaker 10: taken away. So if you go now, they'll leave us out.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: I would just tell you, but that's next Monday for
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: the National Title Game. Big. Can you say we had
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: a couple of comments. One, yes, we have some online
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: comments we had. Uncle Charlie wants to know since we're
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: talking about p CL. So Tom Brady can go back
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: to the University of Michigan. No, yes, I said, they
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: file an anti trust suit then like na anybody but Tom.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: But if we're gonna do the Professional College League, then
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: he could go back. Yeah, or you can make it that.
- 1:09:14Speaker 25: Nil.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: I don't see why not. Okay, okay, why are we
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: limiting You're not limiting the money, You're not limiting the
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: free agency. I suppose you're not. So yeah, so Tom
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: could go back to Michigan. And Donny Brown says that
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Freeman was drafted by the Bears in the fifth round,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: diagnosed with a heart condition, causing him to have to
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: give up the game. He said he read that on Friday,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: which means that if we research it today, it probably
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: be something that came from the onion. You know, I
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: gotta let it brief or I don't know, if you
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: took a job with less stress.
- 1:09:49Speaker 13: I was I was.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Wondering, like, is that even head coach? You know, the
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: name is about the stress. Might as well play football
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: all that let them people hit you. I'm saying now,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: because that and then that not even at a time
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: when the NCAA had a lot of power, they didn't
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: have any power people. They've always been They've always been autonomous.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: So that's stressful, stressful. They always have been an independent.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: And on on top of that, you mentioned God is watching.
- 1:10:17Speaker 6: Since you mentioned that, I know to dame as an independent,
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: still the question comes up, should they enter a conference
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: and now we were just talking about the conference championships.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Should they be eliminated or or should that be a game?
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: And this is like the first time in twenty years,
- 1:10:34Speaker 6: that two times that the SEC doesn't have anybody in
- 1:10:38Speaker 6: the championship game. So is the conference thing going away
- 1:10:43Speaker 6: now with the nil or is this what's what's happening?
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: What you think happening with that Professional College League PCL?
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: No more sec, no more, there's nothing. Y'all don't want
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: any rule, y'all. I'm just and I mean you three
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: when I said y'all, it seems that society don't want
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: to place a rule until the rule affects them. So
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: just like you're saying, what would be wrong with Tom
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Brady coming back to Cottage? Oh y'all want to stop
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: at that right now? Not Tom, but not Tom, But
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: if it was somebody else, you would let Mike Vic
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: go back to cam come back to all. I think
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: that everybody should be able to go everywhere. I think
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: we need to stop there. You we removed all the
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: lines when you were when you started paying flat out pain,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: not a stipend when all this started. I say they
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: should take money for each player, and they should put
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: it in an account based on graduation. Remember when I
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: put it in an annuity and when you gra here
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: and you graduate from here, you get this money. You
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: went completely and said just pay hey, no, no, no,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: no safeguards or wins. It's not to give him a
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: stipend and make him White's archments at the number one
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: on that valuation list.
- 1:12:17Speaker 10: He's number one, and he's the backup quarterback right as
- 1:12:20Speaker 10: of right now, correct. So it's like you don't even
- 1:12:24Speaker 10: have to play, just you be.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: There, just be So why not? Why stop it? I'm
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: trying to find out how to get in honestly, you know,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: I'm saying, can I Can I be a place kicker
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: holder or something like that? Can I hold? How do
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: I get other than other? As we go, other than
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: mentioning a name of a school, what parameters of the sport?
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Is even college? Outside of the name of the school location,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: they still got a mascot on the field. Somebody dressed
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: it up. And well they do that in the NFL too,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: if they have one. You had to go to class
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: so you could be at least Philadelphia Eagle flying. When
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: when do you When do they go to class online?
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: They go online? See I know you lying because if
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: they actually went, they know it was called asynchronous. We'll
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: be back right after this remix single Mom, there were
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: singles go ahead and basy did baby go ahead? And
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: busy and baby go ahead and busy and baby.
- 1:13:43Speaker 9: Go ahead and busy, don't go away Board of the
- 1:13:46Speaker 9: Sports Josh Hill with Wayne Damsidias coming up next.
- 1:13:50Speaker 14: In sitcoms, when someone has a problem, they just blurt it.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Out and move on. Well, I lost my job and
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: my parakeet is missing. How is your day?
- 1:14:01Speaker 14: But the real world is different. Managing life's challenges can
- 1:14:04Speaker 14: be overwhelming.
- 1:14:05Speaker 25: So what do we do?
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: We get support?
- 1:14:07Speaker 14: The Huntsmand Mental Health Institute and the AD Council have

- 1:14:52Speaker 29: Have you noticed bad behavior has become normalized at interscholastic
- 1:14:55Speaker 29: athletic events. Some fan seem angry, he lacks the.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: Village toward one another. Some even get aggressive and unruly.
- 1:15:05Speaker 17: Time out.
- 1:15:06Speaker 23: What is going on?
- 1:15:08Speaker 26: This has to stop.
- 1:15:10Speaker 29: Let's not forget school sports aren't just about winning, and
- 1:15:14Speaker 29: they're definitely not an excuse to take your frustrations out
- 1:15:16Speaker 29: on the official or the opponent. They're about teaching lessons
- 1:15:20Speaker 29: like perseverance, respect and empathy so.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Students can learn and grow as people, not just as players.
- 1:15:28Speaker 29: We all have a role to play in setting a

- 1:15:37Speaker 29: behave positively at interscholastic athletic events in Georgia.
- 1:15:42Speaker 9: This message presented by the GHSA and the Georgia Athletic
- 1:15:45Speaker 9: Directors Association.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: And now back to the sports Job, Wayne Gandy, Welcome
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Wayne kN t a couple of birthdays here coming on yesterday, today,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: and tomorrow. One thing Baptis was just talking about something
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: that always makes me laugh. Is this idea that colleges
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: or the people, the powers that be didn't want to
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: play pay players. That's not true. Why do people think
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: that that's what they were told from they were trying
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: to create fair competition so that no team. Now, all leagues,
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: the NFL, the Major League Baseball, they always all have
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: regularations of fairness saying some people don't cross the line,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: and you know, have the teams don't stay under the cap.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: They just pay the luxury tax to it. But there
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: are parameters. In college, there's no parameters on what happens.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: I can just call your starting quarterback every week from
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: the opposing team and say, hey, man, how you feel
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: about it? They're treating you right? And we got we
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: got that. We campering. We got seven point two this
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: time last week it was just six point eight. We
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: got some point two. Come on, it just has to
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: be some kind of how we all have to follow
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: some kind of rule. What is the rule now? And
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: there's a there are no rules, and depending on you,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: you can't. It's basically rule that you that staying.
- 1:17:52Speaker 10: You can't say that you're paying the player from the school.
- 1:17:57Speaker 10: The school can't say we're paying the play to come here.
- 1:18:00Speaker 10: It has to be we've secured an n IL deal
- 1:18:04Speaker 10: for him. It can't the money can't come directly from us,
- 1:18:07Speaker 10: or we can't say the money came directly from us,
- 1:18:10Speaker 10: and so I have to be it's through our nil
- 1:18:14Speaker 10: collect and booster.
- 1:18:16Speaker 5: And not only can a player get called at any time.
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: When they call with the right number, he'll go, okay,
- 1:18:23Speaker 5: see you tomorrow.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: And right now.
- 1:18:26Speaker 6: But I see what you're saying as far as the
- 1:18:28Speaker 6: competitive side, because Saturday night, man, don't you Dame Penn
- 1:18:32Speaker 6: State game. If you love college football, you really enjoyed
- 1:18:36Speaker 6: that game and you can see those kids out there
- 1:18:39Speaker 6: playing with just wasn't about no money.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: He wasn't about what they're gonna get. It was about
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: I'm playing for this title.
- 1:18:45Speaker 6: And I thought, you know that it makes you what
- 1:18:48Speaker 6: you back to what you're saying that it is not
- 1:18:51Speaker 6: like they don't want them to get paid, but we're
- 1:18:52Speaker 6: trying to put the best competition, the best product on
- 1:18:56Speaker 6: the field.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: But all we talk about is the money part. Well,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: there are some programs that feel like because we got
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: the most money, we put the best product on the field.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: Not always, not always.
- 1:19:14Speaker 10: I think that comes from the people watching because we
- 1:19:17Speaker 10: hear like that oh Ohio State spent twenty million dollars
- 1:19:20Speaker 10: in their roster, but like the Ohio State is for them,
- 1:19:26Speaker 10: it's like We're trying to put the best team out there.
- 1:19:29Speaker 10: But I think mentioning the money just comes from everybody
- 1:19:32Speaker 10: outside and you.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Have some programs. They just believe more in the sport,
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: so they'll give more to that. It's like going to
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: a high school. Some people believe in high school sports
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: and their fan base work regular nine to fives, but
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: they believe in Beaufort football, so they're going to meet
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: the needs of everything. It's not like they are Silicon
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: Valley up there. They just leaving high school football. So
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: birthdays here. Julia Luis Dreyfus, she's sixty four years old.

- 1:20:20Speaker 1: I just finished Landman Black. I'm making my way. Yeah,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: and that's what I'm still trying to fels way better
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: than I'm still trying to get into and through the
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: old Man. So oh it's better than the old man.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: And see that's what I'm saying that I got so
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: only so much Black ops in me at one time,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: and I watched I can't do too much Jack Jill Wagner.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: She starts and alone with Zoe's Aaldano. It's forty six, sir,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: what're you about to say? No, everybody was telling them
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: what they were watching, so I was just gonna tell.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: But I mean, it's no big deal. So why just
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: bring it up? You know, because you just wasted five seconds.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: You could have just said it. You could have just
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: been quiet. You what are you watching? Long Beach?

- 1:22:34Speaker 1: twenty four years old. Laurie Harvey twenty eight, which is
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: so surprising, is very surprising. It's not funny because she's
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: the same age as my daughter. And just imagine the
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: names that she's been linked to in just such a
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: short life. Is twenty eight. Liam Hemsworth is fifty five,

- 1:26:41Speaker 8: they say the kid don't play.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: That's behind me a job.
- 1:26:45Speaker 22: I'm kind of win this guy because of the all
- 1:26:47Speaker 22: of mine kind of pinpoint rather that makes you feel
- 1:26:50Speaker 22: chile Man because I'm attacking.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: Welcome back to this spot, Shock Shock, I'm this wort
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: shock Wayne Againdy. We had to comment about one of
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: our listeners is saying it's okay for eighteen year olds
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: to play. Yes, they call that the NBA eighteen year
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: olds to play with or against twenty nine year olds.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: You say they call that the NBA didn't one Lebron
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: eighteen when he guys that was putting an elbow in
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: his back was one Kobe eighteen and them guys putting
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: that elbow in his back was forty KG might have
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: been about sixteen. And I'm quite sure we can find
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: a highlight of Charles Oakley slapping KG sign in the post. Right, Yeah,
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: he was fourteen years find that switch. You know, I'm
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: talking about the age difference. Chawle's Oakley was still playing
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: when KG.
- 1:27:43Speaker 28: Yeah.
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: Yeah, Sean kit Kenny League Sean Kent was nine years old.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: It's the same thing in baseball. A baseball player can
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: be drafted out of high school. He can be dressed
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: on a diamond at eighteen facing a forty two year
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: old pitch. Picture. Yeah, so any can be Serena and
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Venus and those young ladies. At that point they were
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: playing older women. Stephane Roffman was was thirty eight with
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: a seven year old And what about by the time
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: that Cocoa shes playing people so much old and hut
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: she be crying about it. So I understand that reference.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: But he's saying, he said, not football, not football. Well,
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: we see with the COVID we saw some twenty four
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: to twenty five year old guys out there playing against
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: eighteen year olds, did we not? I believe we did,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: Chris Winks. Over the last couple of years, there's been
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: that disparity where there have betten some guys around year
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: six and seven saying it's a freshman. Is that not really?
- 1:28:55Speaker 6: I goes Quincy Carter even went late to school he
- 1:28:58Speaker 6: was older, or when he went to Georgia.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: You got some guys that were seventeen made it to
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: the NFL by twenty that played against whatever age unlimited age.
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: He's saying, isn't that why the three years of school
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: rule was put in place at the NFL. No, the
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: three years of school, Well, first of all, it's not
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: school anything. It's three years removed from high school. Okay,
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: And that city really stated because they were hoping you
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: were twenty one. Yeah, so you have to they didn't
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: have to get in the bar. Yeah, daddy, still not
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: that getting in bars is what you want to do.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: I just want to I'm not advocating, you know, for
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: people to be on some no, shouldn't be Listen. I'm
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: just saying, if you're going to travel with the team
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: to New York and everybody's going to the bar, you
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: kind of want to go. Yeah, so I get the path.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: But I'm saying there were other sport. A NASCAR driver
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: can be eighteen yeah, so you just said he just
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: the Trump series, the truck series. They're younger than that.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: A soccer a great soccer player can be eighteen nineteen
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: years old, yeah against whatever limited age. Yeah. A boxer
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: Mike Tyson was how old when he won the championship
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: twenty yeah, and say he can't And even golf, we
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: had time you were fighting professionally what by what? Eighteen
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: eighteens and which means that he could fight who anyone
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: on the women and the men and they were ducking
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: him like no man, God, let no man do his thing.
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: I'm good. And your children in early your kids, wait,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: the kids were looking all nervous like that. The box's
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: twenty year old was looking at daddy. Don't do that.
- 1:30:45Speaker 6: Even in the early two thousands you had teenage put
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: golf professionals on both sides, the ladies and the men's.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: So it's no age limits. Do you think that's just
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: do you think that's.
- 1:30:57Speaker 5: Just his maternal instinct, like he doesn't want to see
- 1:31:00Speaker 5: one of the little babies hurt by one of these
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: big British men.
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: There are a lot of things that I would like
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: to keep in place, but they have fallen to the wayside.
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: For the dollar, for the dollar, it has fallen to
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: the wayside. So that's what I was saying a little earlier.
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: But people want to keep one of us so they
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: can feel kind of good about cool keeping the strip
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: club in the strip club, but now it's on TikTok.
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: They were saying the other day the receiver from Ohio State,
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: what is his name, the freshman, the receiver Smith Smith.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: They were saying he should challenge the age rule. He's
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: a freshman, just like Markus tried to challenge it. So
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: really that place was they wanted you to be twenty one,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: but they also wanted a pattern to be able to
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: evaluate you against competition. Remember, I'm trying to draft you
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: and pay you a lot of money. I can't. I
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: don't really just want to go by your high school tape. Yeah,
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: it's a it's a crapshoot. As the nf a's the NBA,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: they get stuck with a lot for every kg and
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: lebron and and Tracy McGrady and and Kobe. There's a
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: whole bunch of guys got drafted. There's a whole lot
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: of quarme a bunch of them. They got stuck with
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: Chris Washburn's. Yeah they didn't know, but they just went
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: off potential. So it's a whole bunch of them out there.
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: Robert Quinn arrested h after early morning crash in North Charleston.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: Also Kiren Lacy out of l s U. Both are
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: in trouble. Lacy seems to be an arrest. Warren has
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: been put out him for felony, hit and run and
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: negligent homicide. Robert Quinn, who played about eight nine years
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: in the NFL, I do know the Rams drafted him
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: because I'm a RAM alumnus. For metarial In both of
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: these cases, I'm quite sure, they're probably some drunk driving
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: and both. I don't know, some drugs, who knows. I
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: do want to talk about the part with the hit
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: and the run part, because the hit and run part,
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: it's always been the part of these stories that confuse
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: me now possibly nineteen twenties, thirties, those times before our
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: country decided to consolidate under some letters FBI, CIA, d A,
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: and all those guys where information is shared. Them boys,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: that's what we call them them, boy. Information is shared
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: and it's documented in real time, in real time. They
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: know at ten fifty two that at ten forty eight,
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: you were at the corner of this street. Yes, the
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: run in this always. And I don't know if the
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: young lady here in Atlanta is still in prison or
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: she got out yet. You know she life. But that
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: whole big case we had here in Atlanta with a
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: young girl, I think she might be I leave one.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: She had a crash and she left the scene. She
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: ran home. She got her mom to help her redo
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: the car. The judge gave the mom four or five years.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: I think they tried to they try to conceal that
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: she was part of this. And I think three people
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: died in that car the run, doesn't everybody know the
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: run part will probably be the part of the gavel
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: that hits the hardest, always always, So it's not just me,
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: I know, the run part. They like to whoop you
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: for the want to run part? Do they not be
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: I mean what I'm saying, And they always tell you
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: that to give you two years, But but then you ran,
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: or it could just tell you that, Like, man, you know,
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: I wouldn't have been.
- 1:35:09Speaker 33: That rough on you when I when I pulled up
- 1:35:12Speaker 33: and told you all to free. If you had just frozed,
- 1:35:15Speaker 33: you might have went home. But when you ran that part,
- 1:35:19Speaker 33: that part of that, that's where you're going with us.
- 1:35:23Speaker 33: You're going with us now because you ran.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: Yeah, the hip part, it could have just been an accident.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: It's been an accident and unfortunate. It should have just
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: been a suspended license, su spend license. I mean, if
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: I'm in the run, got the fifteen years? Is that
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: kind of yeah? But this is the thing. And in
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: both of these cases, because I mean they the Lacy
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: the young man is supposed to be a high draft
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: pick out of l s U Felon in hitting hit
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: and run. Now, this is what they call it neglect homicide,
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: that someone using the vehicle. Yeah, that's why this, which
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: means that Robert Quinn got caught with somebody picking him up.
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: Oh so he trying to lead a scene, which led
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: me to remember the boxer in Baltimore, bron Bronner, the
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: little cinnatic agent. No, no, no, he's your problem. No no,
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: he's younger than the problem. He was champed. Yeah, he
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: was the champ uh and he out of Baltimore and
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: he had people following him, like his handlers were following him.
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: Was that Vronte Davis? Yeah, yeah, it was like maybe
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: two years ago. He was with his handlers. And I
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: read the Robert Quinn story. He had had the accident.
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: He called someone, the young lady came to pick him up,
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: and that's how they called him getting into her car,
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: been hiding in the bush. And they but you doing
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: that and getting into that vehicle, was leaving the scene there, Yes,
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: even though he was away from it, him deciding to
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: get into that car to do it, you call somebody,
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: not the authorities. And then with the neglectful homicide, that
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: probably means that the person that they left in at
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: the accident scene was alive. When they left. So had
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: you made a phone call, had you not tried to leave,
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: this person could have lived. So the leaving part.
- 1:37:31Speaker 5: But it's those small infractions suspended license, had a drink
- 1:37:37Speaker 5: or two that makes me think I'm going to the
- 1:37:39Speaker 5: kid for the chiefs.
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: Yes, recently Rushi Rice that's his name, when that part
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: of his charge he left the scene. And that's why
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: I stayed in my mind like how people have forgotten this.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: This the run, don't that typically will be the real part.
- 1:37:56Speaker 6: And don't chase if you if you get hit and run,
- 1:37:59Speaker 6: do not check the people. Just totfully there's a witness
- 1:38:02Speaker 6: that saw the accident, or you get what you can do.
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: Not chase. You don't know what that person may be.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: Like you said, you don't know what's going on with them.
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: And if we're gonna off for advice, if you can
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: stop drinking and driving, let's start there. Let's go with
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: that one first. If if you don't have to drink
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: and drive, don't do that. But in an event that
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: there's an accident, please don't try and flee. But I
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: think sometimes as we go to break people think, well
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: I'll run and if I can get away, they won't
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: have me on the drinking and driving. Yeah that's what
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: they want. Ran, but you ran, so no matter what
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: it's bad, it equaled out once you ran. We'll be
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: back more to sports jock sure right after this.

- 1:41:51Speaker 22: You can see the sports joint I'll see even Burjny
- 1:41:57Speaker 22: what merchants.
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: Warshock Shop, the war Shocky. The Ravens and Bills will
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: do battle on Sunday in a game that both of
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: those teams to me are stronger than the Chiefs. I
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: really look at that game as the winner going to
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. The Chiefs have had a lot of
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: rest to be able to get healthy, they will take
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: on a Houston team their big advantages. Houston is used
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: to playing indoors. Bring them out into that open air
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: at four point thirty on Saturday for that game. So
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: we got two games Saturday and two games on Sunday,
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: and then the National title game will be next Monday.
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: The winner of tonight's game between Minnesota and LA will
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: play the Eagles next Sunday. So you have Sunday at
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: three and Sunday at six thirty. The Commanders, with their
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: late victory over the Buccaneers last night, we'll take on
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: the Lions, a team that just Dan quinn, very resilient
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: team with a quarterback that is just very dangerous and
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: that in those situations. He's shown you three or four
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: times this year with his ability to have that little
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson factor where they can scramble. Yeah, and remember,
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: I just need a field goal. So it's not like,
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: you know, different than a touchdown. The mentality becomes, I
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: just need a field goals. So if I can get
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: me an opportunity to run for thirty yards, I'm almost
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: there about twelve more yards away from a field goal attempt.
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: And that's similar how they win those games the Commander's
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: moving on to take on the Lions on Saturday at
- 1:43:57Speaker 1: eight a clock. RG three wants the hammer to come
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: down on Justin Herbert. He feels like he wants to
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: see if people get on Justin Herbert on the way
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: they get on Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott. I get
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: where you're going, you know, San Diego. Excuse me. The
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: LA Chargers. They did lose the other day to the Texans,
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: and Justin Herbert did not play well. Now, I don't
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: know if this is RG three trying to speak from
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: a racial point because of Dak and Lamar being black.
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: A lot of it, I would imagine, really is. No
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: one knows about Justin Herbert. He plays on the Chargers.
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: The Chargers are not a marquee team. They just really aren't.
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: Let let's be honest, even in their market that plays
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: on the marquee of the marquee team and Lamar Jackson,
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: the Heisman Trophy winner, MVP, the new Mike Vick m
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: v P type game, you know has more eyes on it.
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: You tell somebody the Chargers lost in what you don't
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: even know. You don't know a lot of Charger fans
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: you haven't met a Charger fan, really right, right, and
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: you tell a lot of people the Chargers lost, and
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: they go the football team. I'm a Chargers guy and
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: I watch him because young man Derwin James came through
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: my football camp. He's from Haynes City.
- 1:45:41Speaker 5: And only time I watched the Chargers and hear his name.
- 1:45:45Speaker 5: I mentioned this past weekend that before that guy ever
- 1:45:49Speaker 5: touched the NFL field, we knew that he was going
- 1:45:52Speaker 5: because he came up through the Gandy football camp and
- 1:45:55Speaker 5: he was already tapped to support. Stock told us, wait,
- 1:46:01Speaker 5: you're gonna hear this name in the NFL. And if
- 1:46:04Speaker 5: they don't say that boy name five six times a
- 1:46:07Speaker 5: very time he hit.
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: That, I tune in to watch him. I don't even
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: I actually might turn to something else when justin herbing
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: him go out, I turned to watch the defense. Have
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: you ever had honest a lot of times the it's
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: about the spotlight? Yeah, well, can I say that. I
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: think being a nick or a Laker the spotlight. He's
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: just hotter than it is.
- 1:46:31Speaker 6: And he's in LA that's a big media market now
- 1:46:34Speaker 6: from San Diego, and I think where Archie three is
- 1:46:37Speaker 6: going because at the beginning season, you always have these
- 1:46:40Speaker 6: uh prenounstications of who's going to do this to do that,
- 1:46:44Speaker 6: and they've always put him up there. More so with
- 1:46:47Speaker 6: Josh Allen. They've compared like Aber, they've they they've compared
- 1:46:54Speaker 6: him to that. And I think that he, like you said,
- 1:46:56Speaker 6: he's on the West Coast, he's AFC's and there with
- 1:46:59Speaker 6: my home.
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: He's in that division, so it's hard to get No,
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: he's gotten.
- 1:47:05Speaker 10: That attention like his rookie he won Offensive Rookie of
- 1:47:08Speaker 10: the Year, yes, and he was being looked at as
- 1:47:11Speaker 10: that next guy like he's he's in the same draft
- 1:47:14Speaker 10: class as Burrow and Tua, so he's got he got
- 1:47:18Speaker 10: that attention to start with, but the team hadn't been
- 1:47:21Speaker 10: very good and now they're you know, they made the
- 1:47:24Speaker 10: playoffs this year, so now it's that that expectation just
- 1:47:28Speaker 10: ran back.
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: And RG three.
- 1:47:29Speaker 5: Do you think that sometimes sometimes the people that support
- 1:47:35Speaker 5: could be also the biggest detractor. Do you remember the
- 1:47:38Speaker 5: Pam Oliver issue when they had pulled her from some
- 1:47:42Speaker 5: coverage of the NFL sidelines games because of her look
- 1:47:47Speaker 5: that her community highlighted on social media, which caused her
- 1:47:52Speaker 5: supervisors take closer look at her.
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: Now you're saying that people aren't going after Herbert the
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: same way they go after a DAK or after Lamar Jackson.
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: But they don't talk about Justin Herbert like he's Jesus.
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. When they talk about Lamar Jackson.
- 1:48:09Speaker 5: When they were talking about DAK, they were talking about
- 1:48:12Speaker 5: like these dudes were gonna float out of the sky
- 1:48:14Speaker 5: and wave their hand over the football feel and you know,
- 1:48:17Speaker 5: do this and that whole side of the stadium would
- 1:48:20Speaker 5: fall down and then deliver their team to the Promised Land.
- 1:48:23Speaker 5: So of course when you make a mistake, people are
- 1:48:27Speaker 5: gonna highlight that like he went to walk on water
- 1:48:29Speaker 5: and his garment got wet.
- 1:48:32Speaker 6: And Justice team, if you think about it, charge has
- 1:48:35Speaker 6: been known for the defense for the last four you
- 1:48:36Speaker 6: because you had the Bosa, got Derwin James, and then
- 1:48:39Speaker 6: you had that one acquisition with the linebacker I can't
- 1:48:42Speaker 6: remember from Chicago he came in that time. Kleivend Mack. Yeah,
- 1:48:50Speaker 6: there's still there. So that's where you know the charges
- 1:48:54Speaker 6: are built around the defense.
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: Well, I'm just saying in the claim, I get what
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: maybe he's trying to say, because I guess you know,
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: he played the position, and he would be rightfully to
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: know a little more about I'm just saying the spotlight
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: of the LA Chargers is so small they would actually
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: have to introduce themselves to you at the Super Bowl. Yes,
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson walks in the room. You know that's Lamar Jackson.
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: Same thing with Dak Prescott. They don't really show you
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: justin here, but doesn't even have he doesn't have a gimmick.
- 1:49:27Speaker 5: I was gonna ask you you ever see the Chargers
- 1:49:30Speaker 5: with their helmets on and have to pick him out,
- 1:49:32Speaker 5: like which one he is?
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: That guy like that? So a lot of scrutiny comes
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: from your popularity more than it does you're doing your job.
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean he's a very serviceable quarter and
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: they're built on defense, and he's just recently picked up
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: a good running back. The running back had a great year.
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: See the Lions were just Barry Sanders and then the
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: receiver came along, Calvin Johnson. But they were one of
- 1:50:01Speaker 1: those teams you can get lost. I remember being with
- 1:50:05Speaker 1: the Saint Louis Rams. People thought I was a rookie Pittsburgh.
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: They thought the Pittsburgh still that just drafted me because
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: we were losing nobody to keep up with you.
- 1:50:17Speaker 28: Man.
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: You can't get no traction with no motion. And that's
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: how the Chargers are out there in l a behind
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: the Lakers, not even number one, and they own the
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: Dodger and the Dodgers and everybody else is out there
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: and you was bought in like a redhead step child.
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: They're building a small stadium, no offense to the did
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: y'all know that they're building their own They're building their
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: own stadium, but it's going to be small, so in
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: a couple of years they won't be playing with the RAM.
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean you're not, as it's just gonna
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: be a little smaller than what they can fit. We'll
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this.

- 1:52:20Speaker 3: Now it's time for the school board when we put

- 1:52:28Speaker 1: On the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:35Speaker 20: I don't tell what put your bales, No rich what

- 1:52:40Speaker 1: Why? Because the shoe was always hurt My call. I

- 1:52:45Speaker 1: got a cutting sex spin a second friend your own Wait,
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: wait what shop shop up the sport shock Wayne Ganda.
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: I was thinking something going to break. It's it's talking
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: about Sandy. The La Chargers, A small market team in
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: a big city is what you have. And I was
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: sitting here thinking what it's a good comparative. It's like
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: here for us locally and anyone who's ever been in
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: this area. The Georgia Bulldogs, it's like being Georgia Tech.
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: People are very unaware that Georgia Tech even plays football,
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: and they are literally in the city. They are the
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: center of the city of Atlanta. For you to go
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: from south of Atlanta to north of Atlanta, you have
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: to pass through Georgia Tech. But if you ask people
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: in Atlanta, it's hard to figure out who was even
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: the quarterback last year for them. I have no clue.
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna go ahead on the raid in my hands,
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: command you. I know you know the answer, because you might.
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: I don't know who the quarterback last year. They had
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: a solid season, beat one of two teams they people
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: felt like they shouldn't. I'm kind of on the fringe
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: of knowing who the head coach but we know everything
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: about Georgia. You think Georgia Tech got it bad, it's
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: about within four or five miles of Georgia Tech, about
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: eight of the school. No, I'm saying, go to Georgia State,
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: and I can't tell you who plays. I'm just giving
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: an example of some of Justin Herbert. Even though they
- 1:54:41Speaker 1: moved from San Diego to LA, they still have more
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: of a small market visibility. Yeah, and it's just hard
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: to nobody to get out of all that shade in Hollywood.
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: That's not you. And for how sports reporting is gone,
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: beating up on Justin Herbert is not going to get
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: anyone to really click on.
- 1:55:02Speaker 6: Because you had two teams out of LA that's playing
- 1:55:05Speaker 6: in the playoffs. So I mean, I mean, he did
- 1:55:08Speaker 6: a great.
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: Similar It's similar to Trevor Lawrence. He just plays for
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: a team that nobody's gonna sit there. He's had a
- 1:55:15Speaker 1: terrible last two seasons now, terrible two last year seasons
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: in Dallas. That's that's two or three months of reporting.
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: But in Jacksonville, suspected were just hoping y'all don't leave
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: the city. We just hope y'all don't move. We just
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: hoping you don't move. Nobody's really caring how bad Bryce
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: Young really is for the Panthers. You just don't play
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: for one of them teams. Trust me, I'm one of
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: those guys who really some of the shine that you
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: don't get because you might have started on a team
- 1:55:55Speaker 1: that nobody actually was interested in, Nobody checking for that
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: to be checking for that team like that. Yeah, no
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: matter how much you win, the people we're talking about
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: just having to especially if you don't have a game. Now,
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: you can take Lamar Jackson and put them anywhere because
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: people love that game. That game, that's that skill set
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: that they love that. They love that and the media
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: loves that. They're going to show the highlights. Nobody's going
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: to show Justin Herbert throwing a thirty yard gold route.
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: It's the charges in the Super Bowl. Let's keep it moving.
- 1:56:35Speaker 6: That's how you know they talked more about Harball this
- 1:56:37Speaker 6: year than they did Justin Herbert.
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: Other team who had a great game had a great
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: see he only had three interceptions going into the game.
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: I said the whole season only through three interceptions, and
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: the other night he threw four. Mark Tavis Bennett Martell's
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: Bennett excuse me, for the NFL. He has a children's
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: book coming out, guys, you know, dear black Boy. To
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: make sure y'all get you a copy. I'm gonna go
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: get there. Martella's Bennett, Yeah, get there for us children's
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: dear great cool? Why God, why I got it? Why
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: you're a grown man, you're older than me? Actually to us,
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: should uncle's be giving the great uncle the nephew gifts
- 1:57:22Speaker 1: I want to get. I'll get one and read it
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: to pass it down to us. I'll get one and
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: read it to you guys. Coman Greg probably already got
- 1:57:31Speaker 1: a copy because I'm deal, you know, dear black boy,
- 1:57:34Speaker 1: dear black because when I read the Bad Time Story
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: as I do, the voices and everything, so y'all really
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: enjoyed us, really, dear black boy. Uh Is Martella's been
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: at longtime. NFL ball played about fifteen sixteen years. I
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: want what's it? Does it say what the book is about?
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: It didn't say what. I guess it is about a
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: black boy, Dear. I love it.
- 1:57:58Speaker 6: I mean, is it is it to inspire black boys?
- 1:58:01Speaker 6: An African American boy? I'm glad he said.
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: And for you people out there that's criticizing CNN hosts
- 1:58:07Speaker 1: Wolf Blitzer, Oh about his description. Wolf Blitzer was supporting
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: the bills, and he was showing his TV set up
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: the other day, and people were trying to give him
- 1:58:21Speaker 1: trash because he still had his VCR and CD player.
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: That's the stuff he still has around the house. How
- 1:58:30Speaker 1: would he play his CDs? Wolf Blitzer is like seventy
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: five years old. How would he play the stuff he enjoys.
- 1:58:38Speaker 10: He's supposed to use the streaming, He's supposed to just
- 1:58:41Speaker 10: have the remote everything five stick TV.
- 1:58:46Speaker 1: So you want it? So you want him to take
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: all those CDs and records that he bought off digitizing
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: like everyone else. My mother has a thousand CDs that
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: she doesn't play and has a streaming TV that hasn't
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: been turned on in about two and a half years.
- 1:59:07Speaker 5: I mean, and literally there's no electricity. It's gone through
- 1:59:10Speaker 5: the TV in about two years, because this is just
- 1:59:13Speaker 5: not her thing. Dear black boy. It says, it's a
- 1:59:16Speaker 5: excuse me, sports jack. It says not only was it
- 1:59:20Speaker 5: written but illustrated by Martellus Bennett, and it's a letter
- 1:59:25Speaker 5: of encouragement to all boys of color who feel like
- 1:59:29Speaker 5: sports is their only choice.
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: So it has pictures which make you happy. That's what
- 1:59:35Speaker 1: they called illustrations. Yeah, that's pictures. Get him a copy
- 1:59:39Speaker 1: and read it to him. But Wolf, I want you
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: to know I still have all that equipment too, looked
- 1:59:45Speaker 1: up to one TV in case that's what I need
- 1:59:49Speaker 1: at the moment. I mean you're going to ever use it? Yeah,
- 1:59:54Speaker 1: but if you ever want to go see your wedding
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: or something like that, that was on something that you
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: don't want to risk. You have the v c R
- 2:00:04Speaker 1: as you do right there, that was your era. But
- 2:00:08Speaker 1: I didn't understand what people sitting there, what was killing
- 2:00:13Speaker 1: him about? Right? Like he ain't got no smart glasses.
- 2:00:16Speaker 10: But people shame those who still have older technology that
- 2:00:23Speaker 10: still still trying to figure out how.
- 2:00:25Speaker 1: To step on a CD.
- 2:00:27Speaker 3: And the truth is he will throw your in the ocean.
- 2:00:34Speaker 3: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports jun
- 2:00:37Speaker 3: Show with Wayne.
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: When it is out of those he has a sports
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: Our testa minute to Ben. We'd like to thank you
- 2:01:06Speaker 1: for tuning in to today's show. Remember Monday night football
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: tonight the Minnesota Vikings and the LA Rams at eight
- 2:01:14Speaker 1: pm out in the era Zona due to the wildfires.
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: Our prayers go to those people. Recovering and trying to
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: make sense of such loss devastation out in La. Hopefully
- 2:01:27Speaker 1: the game would give you some moment of something to celebrate.
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: I don't know whether to hug this man, but I'm
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: gonna go ahead on and bring in on my ship.
- 2:01:40Speaker 1: Exal Carolina Panther Xavier look at went viral last week.
- 2:01:49Speaker 1: You know he was taking the clothes off, and for
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: a lot of you don't know what that means. That
- 2:01:56Speaker 1: means when you get that squirrel out there that tree,
- 2:02:01Speaker 1: and you gut him and pull that skin back, that's
- 2:02:04Speaker 1: his clothes right there. And I look at commands you Greg,
- 2:02:06Speaker 1: he's already about to throw up. But all I want
- 2:02:09Speaker 1: to say, Xal, make sure you already want to cook
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: me showing something. Man, don't just be doing this. Give
- 2:02:14Speaker 1: it out that he's squirrel recipes for free. They ken't.
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: He been around almost fifteen years around me, and he
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: just never have believed how we used to get at
- 2:02:24Speaker 1: them squirrels up in that tree. Xavier went online and
- 2:02:29Speaker 1: showed people how to skin him, how to prepare him,
- 2:02:33Speaker 1: cooked him out there and says that's just how he
- 2:02:36Speaker 1: gets down a country boy, and he's like to kill
- 2:02:41Speaker 1: and cook his meat fresh. I haven't had squirrel in
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: about forty years, so it might be a little gamey.
- 2:02:51Speaker 1: I might want to soak in some buttermilk. You went
- 2:02:53Speaker 1: right to the grill. Want a buttermilk? Get that game
- 2:02:56Speaker 1: out of it, stoody Brian Overnight. Yeah, that flavor. But
- 2:03:01Speaker 1: I'm just saying, get your TV show. I mean, you're
- 2:03:04Speaker 1: twenty three, good looking young man. What we gotta just
- 2:03:08Speaker 1: get a name for it. Wild and free squirl word,
- 2:03:11Speaker 1: I got wild and free? He killing all wild, wild
- 2:03:14Speaker 1: and free with x L baby. Okay, come on board, man.
- 2:03:26Speaker 1: I can tell you guys you never cooked squirl No,
- 2:03:31Speaker 1: he would. He would love my house. Squirrels aside and
- 2:03:34Speaker 1: the rabbits and squirrel Shock show over help. I hope
- 2:03:40Speaker 1: you have a good afternoon. Peace.
