- Jarod McInroy: I hate the Cowboys. Never been a fan. Love watching them choke every year. I'm looking at the roster. They're my Dark Horse Super Bowl contender. Nathan Hawthorne: outside of Malik Neighbors, you've just got a bunch of wide receiver three and wide receiver fours. So who's he actually gonna throw the ball to? Jarod McInroy: the commanders. they have seven point four wins as their over under. I'm not gonna say the number five because in all respect to Jaden Daniels, he didn't give us his the rights to use that number on this podcast. Nathan Hawthorne: the Eagles have one of the best rosters in the NFL, but certainly the best roster in the NFC East. They're going to win the division going away. This is going to be a 12-win team revived by Sean Manion in the offense with Jalen Hurts. Stop right there. Make sure you like and subscribe to KYP, AKA Know Your Personnel. My name's Nathan Hawthorne. This is my co-host Jared McEnroy. We have been breaking down every division in the NFL by the week this year, delivering the content to you guys. And if you have loved the breakdowns and you've watched everyone, number one, thank you. Number two, again, please like and subscribe. Today we've got another special episode coming your way. We are breaking down the NFC East Division. Doing it in classic KYP style. We're gonna break down what Vegas is telling us and then we're just gonna tell you the truth. You might like it, you might not, but at the end of the day, make sure you leave a comment and tell us how you are feeling about your team. So, Jared, what is Vegas saying about the NFC East? Jarod McInroy: Vegas. They got the Eagles at ten and a half wins. The Cowboys at nine and a half. The Giants at seven and a half. And the Commanders seven and a half wins. first impressions. They have the AFC South and the NFC West on their schedule this year. and that's gonna account for a lot of losses. I I'm Nathan Hawthorne: Lot of L's. Jarod McInroy: it's gonna be a really hard schedule for all of these teams. and Ten wins could probably win you the division. Not gonna lie to you. Like that that really could get it done. which is very abnormal for for this division historically. I mean, at least in the 2000s, 2010s. it's been a really good powerhouse division. we've seen some Super Bowls come from here. So yeah, let's let's start us off. why don't you why don't you tell me a little bit about the Eagles? Because I I feel like you're itching on that ten and a half number to tell me. Tell me what you got. Nathan Hawthorne: Listen, the Eagles have one of the best rosters in the NFL, but certainly the best roster in the NFC East. They're going to win the division going away. This is going to be a 12-win team revived by Sean Manion in the offense with Jalen Hurts. It's going to look entirely different this year. But the Eagles are winning this division going away, and I feel incredibly comfortable saying that. I hate to say that Sirianni is a better coach than I'm giving credit for, but Sirianni's proven that when he gets a solid staff around him. Things go well in that building. He's retained Vic Fangio, which is huge on defense, which means Vic Fangio Vic Fangio thinks there's something there. Sean Mannion, he went for the new hire, the new guy, right? Can I get somebody in the building to help change up how we've traditionally done the offense right here? They took that chance with Kellen Moore when he was maybe a little bit more proven with the Cowboys, but now you've got Sean Mannion in the building bringing new types of offensive looks in. And I think that they're gonna do it. Again, their roster is one to be rivaled across the entire NFL. And I just think that they have that aura of confidence about them. They've got kind of that that cancer of AJ Brown out of the way. This is your division winner clear cut. And it's twelve wins. Jarod McInroy: I I couldn't disagree with you more. I I really couldn't. I really couldn't disagree with you more. Nathan Hawthorne: Talk to me. Leave a comment. Jarod McInroy: well here's what I will say. I agree with you on the fact that talent wise, talent's never been the problem in Philadelphia. They've been held back by coaching, they've been held back by y when they've had a clear identity, it has worked and they have succeeded. They had a clear identity two years ago when they won the Super Bowl and they won it convincingly. But then last year there was a lot of the same things of who w how can we get the ball to our different weapons? How is Jalen Hurts gonna get the ball you know, to AJ Brown, Devontae Smith, all these different people, you know, there's o they say there's only one ball, right? not Nathan Hawthorne: Yeah, I I will Jarod McInroy: not much of that has changed. Like, I mean they ha they still have Barkley, they Smith, they have Dontavian Wicks now, they Mikai Lehman, like they got a lot of people, of course. They still have a guy who isn't great at distributing the football. Like That in and that's I I believe in Jalen Hurts a lot. And I hear you on the Sean Mannion thing. Is is a fresh, brand new head or offensive coordinator really the answer? Is he really gonna does he have all the all all the puzzle pieces to fit into his plan? Like who knows? Like of course he wants the job, he's taking the job, but in his perfect system, are all of these the players that fit in the system he's envisioned? We don't know. That could be a growing pain. then on the defensive side of the ball, I think we've seen enough of Fangio that people are gonna it's a it's a one dimensional defense. It worked his first year 'cause he got brand new weapons in it. he got brand new toys. And then last year it was just okay. Like it we've seen Vic Fangio's been in the league for how long now? Like we we've seen it. They've seen it. All these all these coaches have seen what he does. Nathan Hawthorne: And they can't do anything about it. Jarod McInroy: They do a lot about it. Yeah. They do a lot about it. They looked embarrassing last year against the 49ers, to be fair. So I have them at nine wins is their absolute ceiling. okay. Ten wins is their absolute ceiling. The under is their ceiling. I'm taking the under ten and a half, and I don't even think, even if they do somehow squeak out ten wins, which I think it's closer to nine or eight. Ten wins isn't gonna get you a wildcard spot in in this NFC right now. Again, we we went we already went through the NFC West, we already went through the NFC North, like they got all the wildcard spots locked in. Either you win the division or you don't get a playoff spot. It's as simple as that. And I like a different team better than them, personally. Nathan Hawthorne: This team, despite all their struggles, won 11 games last year. And their defense gave up 19 points per game. Jarod McInroy: is good for them. Nathan Hawthorne: They were fifth in the NFL in that. That's really good. And that's why that's Jarod McInroy: How'd the postseason work out? Nathan Hawthorne: why you have an offense with Kevin Petulo. Do you remember when it me just talking about Frank Reich? That's who Kevin Petulo worked under, whether that was with the Colts or whether that was with the or working with the Eagles through this last several years, right? And he got promoted to offensive coordinator. probably wasn't ready for it, completely shattered that offense. We've seen Jalen Hurts with a good offensive coordinator be elevated by that coordinator. Now we don't know if Sean Manion is the right coordinator for it, but what I'm saying is I think that there's something there just by getting Petulo out of the building. And I think that things are going to look better. Again, the defense looks fantastic, is fantastic is fantastic, will be fantastic once again. And this offense, if it just looks a little bit better, is going to be tough to deal with, man. They're going to be tough to deal with. They've drafted extremely well on the offensive side. Of course, you still have Saquon Barkley. You've drafted Mikai Lemon. Hopefully he stays healthy. Like this, this team is, again, we already talked about so loaded with talent. They just needed a little bit of a mentality shift and they needed a fresh year. And I think that they have that this year, which is why I think, again, they win this division. They have 12 wins and it's not close. No one, no one else has the identity that they already have. Jarod McInroy: I'm not convinced by that explanation at all. If you replace a chair with a chair, do you have a table? No. We just cause you got Kevin Petulo out of the building and you replace him with Sean Mannion, does that mean he's gonna be the guy? No. We do we don't know anything about this guy. Except for Oregon Nathan Hawthorne: No, we don't know, but I think sometimes if you get rid of it Jarod McInroy: State legend, I will give you that. We do know that about him. Nathan Hawthorne: If we if we get rid of a chair with a broken leg and r replace it with a chair that at least has a leg, all four legs, it doesn't matter. Jarod McInroy: Still not a table. We're looking for a table. Nathan Hawthorne: At least it's somewhere that you can actually have a seat. I don't need Jarod McInroy: Hmm. Nathan Hawthorne: I don't need this offense to be top five. I just need it to be somewhere in and around the 10 to 12 range. And they'll win more. Again, for all the garbage you were just saying about them, they won eleven games last year. And that was while things looked horrible. Jarod McInroy: What did they do when they hit the postseason? Nathan Hawthorne: Yeah, the wheels had already fallen off. It was a tough season. You remember a couple years ago, after they had been to the Super Bowl and when they lost to the Chiefs, they came back after all their coordinators being sniped. They won eleven games and had a horrible close to the season. Like that Philly media wears on you. If it goes bad with Sean Mannion, I totally agree with you. But if not, th this is a disgusting team. Now I'm not saying that they're gonna go be an NFC championship contender, but they're certainly gonna beat the brakes off of everybody in this division. Jarod McInroy: Not so fast. I'll tell you what. Dude, and not to mention, we just talked about the teams they have to play. You got them against the Bears, right? The Bears convincingly will beat them. You they gotta go at the go Nathan Hawthorne: Convincingly? Jarod McInroy: they gotta go to the Texans and play that defense. Good luck. They won't score a point on a team like that. th they're they gotta play the Seahawks, the Rams, the 49 like good luck. Twelve th twelve wins, like get me Nathan Hawthorne: So just Don Davion Wicks, Devontae Smith, Hollywood Jarod McInroy: Outta here, bro. Nathan Hawthorne: Brown, Makai Lemon. You don't think anything can happen there? Saquon Barkley. They still have they still have the they've got the biggest O line. Jarod McInroy: No, I hear I hear you on the names. I hear you on the talent. Nathan Hawthorne: And that's what I mean with Kevin Patulo. They got the biggest O line in the league. They've got literal monsters. Cam Jarod McInroy: Mm-hmm. Nathan Hawthorne: Jurgens, Jordan Mylata, Landon Dickerson, Lane Johnson. Like these guys are massive. Right. And that's what I'm telling Jarod McInroy: No, we know all the names. We know all. They've been around. Nathan Hawthorne: you. You know the names because they're dogs. They're horses. Jarod McInroy: Yeah. They didn't look like dogs or horses against a terrible beat up forty niners team. Nathan Hawthorne: And that the offense was I think you're underestimating. I think you're under I think you're underestimating. I think you're underestimating how much they were being held back. Jarod McInroy: they're still being held Nathan Hawthorne: I think so. Jarod McInroy: back. They're they're being held back by a head or a high school head coaching level head coach, Nick Siriani, who n knows next to zero ball. Nathan Hawthorne: This guy's been to two Super Bowls, but he's been to two Super Bowls. Jarod McInroy: Wow, yeah, he's he's legit. I don't think he knows what's going on in that building at all. And yeah, they're going downhill. I let me tell you why they're going downhill and why they won't win the division. Nathan Hawthorne: Okay. We we just don't agree here. Yeah. Tell me tell me why. Jarod McInroy: because the Cowboys at nine and a half, go win you some free money. There's an over button and you should hit it. This is Nathan Hawthorne: No way. Jarod McInroy: you were talking about the Vikings as a Dark Horse Super Bowl contender. Also, let me start this with. Nobody wants to say this less than me. I hate the Cowboys. Never been a fan. Love watching them choke every year. They're very similar to the Oregon Ducks, to the Patriots, the Bills. I love watching them all lose every year. I love watching them lose every year. However, Nathan Hawthorne: There was no reason to say that. There's no reason to say that. You didn't need to throw that in there. Jarod McInroy: I'm trying to be objective. I'm looking at the roster. I'm looking at everything they have. They're my Dark Horse Super Bowl contender. it's gonna come down to Can they utilize the regular season to sharpen their offense, to sharpen their consistency, to show up as a as a unit every single week and win a football game? It's not just to put up the stats. It's not can we spread the love and have all these you know, top ranked receivers, fantasy players, Dak Prescott getting his numbers, all those different things. It's can we do it and win football games? That is the result that they've been chasing for however long now. And I look at their their offense, man. I mean Javante Williams and Jaden Blue are legitimate one two punch in the backfield. George Pickens, what? What what are you gonna say? Let's let yes, Jaden Blue. Nathan Hawthorne: Jaden Jaden Blue? What did he what has he done? Jarod McInroy: He hasn't done anything. He's this is second year in the league. What what do you want him to do? You evaluate you evaluate Nathan Hawthorne: That's what I'm talking about. So how can you say legitimate one two punch if last year Jarod McInroy: strictly on talent. That's how you deal with rookies and second year players. Nathan Hawthorne: He had a hundred and twenty nine yards last year because he wasn't good. Jarod McInroy: He hardly got any carries. He d he's gonna get a lot more of the w my Can I get through this? Can I Nathan Hawthorne: Yes, you can keep going. Jarod McInroy: get through this? Fine. Take his name out of the mix. Javante Williams was one of the best running backs in the NFL last year. George Pickens was one of the best receivers in the NFL last year. They believe in this Florinoy guy. I'm not sold on his tape. Jake Ferguson is gonna finish in the top five tight ends in receiving this year. CeeDee Lamb is on his revenge tour. He's gonna stay healthy. He is going to come for the wide receiver one belt in terms of yards this year. He wants to be in that top top five conversation. He was in it before his injury and he wants to get back to it. Now that we've ha we've seen George Pickens do what he did last year, he's gonna get a lot more opportunity. Having a a wide receiver on the other side with that kind of production only frees you up more. Dak's got plenty of time to sling the ball to both of them. So don't say one's gonna take away from the other. Yeah, I and then defensively, I mean they got they got Caleb Downs, they got Daron Bland, Kobe Duran coming over from the LA Rams, Kenny Clark, Rashawn Gary, Quinn and Williams, like they're stacked, they're ready to go. That this is this is the best Cowboys team we've seen in a while. they're gonna win the division and I'm taking the over. Nathan Hawthorne: Okay. Okay. You can you can take the over. I'm gonna take the under because I think it's nine wins. I think nine wins is what they're gonna leave with at the end of this season. Now, if the Cowboys defense can just be top fifteen, because they were literally the worst defense in the NFL last year, if they can just be top fifteen, this team looks drastically better. But they lost four out of their last five games last year. They looked atrocious closing out this season. And is that coaching? Is that schematics figured out? Was it just Matt Iberflus was not the right defensive coordinator? Was it Schottenheimer's offense kind of getting figured out? And they, you know, and obviously Dak Prescott isn't known for having the big performance when it matters. I don't know. But if you're gonna look at me and tell me that by hiring Christian Parker, that this defen this defense is gonna be completely turned around, a first year defensive coordinator, you know, I don't know. Maybe he is the truth. He's coming from a fangio tree, that aggressive style. You've got Caleb Downs. again, you already mentioned Quinn Williams, Kenny Clark, Rashawn Gary. The talent is there, but we don't necessarily know what to make of it. I love the offense. I love CeeDee Lamb. I love George Pickens. That's obviously fantastic. Javante Williams, twelve hundred yards last year, really slowed down towards the back half of the year. I don't think he runs for twelve hundred again. I think he can run for probably nine hundred, but I don't think it's gonna look quite the same. All that being said. I like the Cowboys. I just don't think that they are a 10-win team. I think that they're a nine-win team again. And I think more of that is due to the coaching staff and putting together a full season from an install to the communication of what the vision is down through the rest of the team. Like I just have no faith in the staff. I love the players, and we've loved the players with Mike McCarthy as well, when their offense was going crazy and Dak Prescott was in MVP conversations and throwing for 5K yards. But if you're gonna tell me that Schottenheimer's the guy to get us across the bridge, I don't think it is. Jarod McInroy: Damn right. Let's go. that's fine. We have a clear disagreement. is what it is. while you're just angry and you're going off on teams, why don't we won't we won't we lean No, I hear you. You're upset. Nathan Hawthorne: What do you mean? Well I mean I'm just I'm just trying to say, like I d I don't know. Jarod McInroy: You're upset. let's hop on over to the Giants. Let's keep this like negativity Nathan Hawthorne: Projecting. Jarod McInroy: train rolling and seven and a half. Seven and a half wins. What who gave them that that number? Who who did that? Do you do you know we c Nathan Hawthorne: It's a really strange number. Jarod McInroy: do you know we're allowed to click under? Do you know we're allowed to bet that and win money? Nathan Hawthorne: This team listen. After Thanksgiving, John Harbaugh's gonna be on the hot seat. Take the under. No, yeah, they're they're gonna be the worst we're they're the worst team in the division. Matt Nagy is your offensive coordinator. You know I love to talk coaches, coaching staff. All of the press has been this offense is calibrating and this offense is trying to figure things out and Jackson Dart is struggling. That's not good. What happens when you win? What happens when Mike McDaniel went to the Chargers? It's like, my gosh, this is unseen. When Clint Kubiak went to the Seahawks last year, my gosh, this is unseen. When you start talking about a coordinator coming in and everything is, yeah, we're calibrating. We're working on things. You brought in Greg Roman, who nobody in on the Ravens organization could stand. And you say, Yeah, this is gonna lead our offensive forward. This is gonna lead our offense forward. That's just insane to me. Malik Neighbors is your only offensive talent. You're telling me Cam Scadaboo is a legitimate running back one. I love that he's crazy. I love that he wants to knock heads. He's not. I think Tyrone Tracy's talented, but he's obviously not going to be your Every down back. That's a pretty mediocre one-two punch. And then outside of Malik Neighbors, you've just got a bunch of wide receiver three and wide receiver fours. So who's he actually gonna throw the ball to? I like Isaiah likely. I think that he's gonna be a great piece for him to be able to throw to. But again, I just there's nothing there. And the defense, the defense I think is better than people want to give it credit to. They were so heavy on pass rusher and they're starting to get a little bit bigger up front in terms of plugging the middle, but Denard Wilson's a solid defensive coordinator. I just I think that people thought by hiring Harbaugh this team would take a step forward and not have to lose a year in between. And I think that this is just gonna be a lost year for the New York Giants. Jarod McInroy: Yeah, that's and it makes no sense. You have you have to look at this with at least some reality. Like I feel like the the people making the decisions are non football knowers and that's an issue. The people who are paying the bills who think that they're you Nathan Hawthorne: Mm-hmm. Jarod McInroy: the the owners, the you know, and dude, you guys are far off. You're far, far off. what I will say is I like what we've seen from Jackson Dart for the most part. But it is it's almost in a worse position. It's it's terrible to be in in that we'll call it purgatory, if you will, because we don't know if he's legit. We don't know we you don't have weapons around him, you don't have the right head coach around him, you don't have anything around him to see if he is going to be your quarterback of the future. You drafted him, you invested in him, now you have to sit around for a few years while you rebuild the rest of the team and then you get to figure out if he's your cu quarterback of the future. That's a really tough position to be in. That's that's a tough place because if that answer's no, then all of a sudden you find a new young quarterback and the timeline starts again. man, I don't know what they're doing. It's it's gonna be interesting. They'll certainly finish last. I I got nothing else on these guys. Nathan Hawthorne: No, and I don't think anything else needs to be said. You know how I felt about Harbaugh being hired in the first place. And then again, the staff you put around you guys is so important. But I mean you drafted Abdul Carter last year. You've got Arville Reese and Brian Burns, DJ Reeder. Like this defense is serious. You added Javon Holland. That's a great veteran safety to have. Greg Newsom's a great corner. Hopefully he can get healthy. He's a little nicked up right now, but I just I don't I don't like what I'm seeing. I like what I see on paper on defense, but offense, a as soon as they went and brought in Patrick Ricard after Harbaugh got hired, I was like, this is over. Jarod McInroy: Yeah. Nathan Hawthorne: Why are we trying to bring this Ravens fullback identity and offense that didn't work other than Lamar Jackson just being excellent? Why are we trying to bring this here? If you want to be mediocre for years, sure, let's do it. But you're talking about needing to turn over a franchise and change how things looked. And you had Brian Dayball and then you thought a better solution was John Harbaugh. I just I don't know. And it's no disrespect to Yeah, you yeah, you know what? Let's just end it. Let's just end it. Jarod McInroy: If we're gonna end this on s if we're gonna end this on some positivity, no if we're gonna end it on some positivity, at least you do have one side of the football that seems to be heading in a good direction. If you had both sides Nathan Hawthorne: And you drafted Malachi Fields on offense. I love that form. Jarod McInroy: Yeah. Sure. Didn't have a great combine, but hopefully he actually turns out to be pretty decent. last team, the commanders. they have seven point four wins as their over under. I'm not gonna say the number five because in all respect to Jaden Daniels, he didn't give us his the rights to use that number on this podcast. bro. Nathan Hawthorne: that's so good. That's so good. Jarod McInroy: So crazy stuff. So crazy stuff. And I I don't I don't want it to I I really hope the media doesn't spin this into hate 'cause he's a good guy. and he's fine. It's just these these weird battles with with money, it whatever. here's the thing. Jaden Daniels has to get back to his elite form, after his latest injury. 'Cause he he was everybody was throwing his name a top top ten quarterback almost after his rookie season. and I'll tell you what, even if he does that It's still not gonna matter. This team does not have the juice to do a damn thing. Seven and a half wins, I think, was a very calculated number, because dude, take the under. I I'm not convinced by a single thing that this team has going on, and they also have just as hard of a schedule as everybody else. Dude, you're you're you're doing that thing, but like if you take this team and you compare to the Eagles and the Cowboys both, they are Surely worse than both of those two teams. and then they go play, like I said, the AFC South and the NFC West. Like that's a lot of losses coming their way. dude, I don't know. It's just you you have to make big moves. Like they still have Dan Quinn. They still have then you go and you replace Debo Samuel. Nathan Hawthorne: And he's very good. Jarod McInroy: Okay, they replace Debo Samuel. with Stephon Diggs. It's the same type beat, like an old outdated Diva receiver. Like it's i these Nathan Hawthorne: How dated? Jarod McInroy: He's Am I missing something? Am I missing something with you right now? Bro, like come on. no, they need they they need to make sure this doesn't go into another rebuild. That's that's the moral of the story. Is do not get older. You don't need those vets yet. Surround your quarterback with young talent, continue to draft well, and I think you need a a a coach or at least a coordinator with a damn. that fits the timeline of Jaden Daniels because if he is if he does get back to that form, lock him down. Make him your QB and nobody else's. because that's that's the hardest piece of the puzzle to fix. the rest the rest you can turn around in, you know, two, three years. Don't let it get to a rebuild though. You have a lot of good pieces. Nathan Hawthorne: If Jaden Daniels is healthy, this is the second best team in the division. Jarod McInroy: You don't even believe that, bro. You you don't even believe that. Nathan Hawthorne: They are. No, I do believe that. I think Jacori Krosky Merritt is a great running back and they brought in Rashad White. I love that. They also drafted Caitron Allen. So hope whatever rotation they want to try and figure out a way around, I think that's excellent. Their offensive line got better with Brandon Coleman, Chris Paul, Josh Connerly Jr. He's coming into Jarod McInroy: Chris Paul? Nathan Hawthorne: a sec Yeah, literally Chris Paul. Jarod McInroy: C P three? Nathan Hawthorne: Yeah, so he he gained a little weight since retirement and they said, Hey, you got good feet, come on, try out. Josh Carnelly Jr., the the tackle out of Oregon, he's coming into his second year. So they've invested in protecting Jaden Daniels. Again, if Jaden Daniels is healthy, I like Terry McClorring and Stephon Diggs. They drafted Antonio Williams out of Clemson, one of the better wide receivers in the draft that kind of got tucked away. I think he's going to be excellent. Okay, so you've got Jaden Daniels, you've got weapons for him to distribute the ball to. I again, I think that this team is better than most people are trying to give them credit for. I'm certainly taking the over for the Washington Commanders. And even when he was healthy last year, you just see his ability to change that football team. Just his presence changes it. His mom on the sideline. Really, I'm just messing around. But then on the defense, this defense hopefully number one is healthy this year, and they hopefully have a little bit more talent this year and they can be aggressive like Dan Quinn wants to be. Dan Quinn wants to have an aggressive, d risk taking defense. Okay. You've got Nick Cross and Jeremy Reeves, who I think are capable of doing that. You drafted Sonny Styles. you've still got Frankie Louvre, you've got Javon Kenlaw, Deron Payne plugging things up in the middle. I think that there's Charles O'Minahue they were able to snag from the Chiefs. So they've got a Jarod McInroy: Bunch of names, dog. That's it. Outside of yes, Sonny Styles is a great pick, but like that's just a bunch of names. Nathan Hawthorne: It right. And I'm telling you, Dan Quinn, Dan Quinn has been one of the best defensive he's been one of the best defensive coaches. They brought in Rasul Douglas, although albeit a couple years too late. What I'm saying is that Dan Quinn, after, you know, an excellent year with Jaden Daniels, and then things kind of take a turn for the worse, you have some injuries and things don't really work out, and now you come back this year, I think that they're gonna be I think that they're gonna be great. And I think Jaden Daniels truly is a game changing quarterback, which is why it's so heavily hinges on him being healthy. If he's healthy and he plays Jarod McInroy: I have a question for you. Nathan Hawthorne: seventeen games, I think that they win. Jarod McInroy: Who was the offensive coordinator when Jane Daniels had his big year? Nathan Hawthorne: Is it was it Cliff Kingsbury? Mm-hmm. Jarod McInroy: Mm-hmm. Who's his offensive coordinator this year? Nathan Hawthorne: No, it's David Blau. Apparently an offensive savant. Someone I'm willing to take a risk with. Jarod McInroy: Apparently d'hoo. Nathan Hawthorne: Apparently to everybody in their building. Apparently to Jaden Daniels, loving the new offense that they have in it and the checks and the options that he has to set his protections and grow out of his kind of college offense fit. I'm excited for him. I'm excited for him. Jarod McInroy: Okay. And I'm not gonna say he's he's a he's gonna be bad. It's it's a it's a gigantic question mark. It's a very important question mark. And Nathan Hawthorne: It's a it's a question mark. I'm it's a question mark. We don't know. It it is. It is. We we ragged on it earlier this year, actually. But I'm buying the training camp juice. Jarod McInroy: We maybe have. Nathan Hawthorne: You know how I tell everybody stay away from the training camp hype, don't watch too many clips, don't read too many articles. I'm I'm Jarod McInroy: That's all you're doing. Nathan Hawthorne: sip I'm sipping the Washington Commanders Kool-Aid. I'm slurping it down. Jarod McInroy: Yeah. Dude do not waste your money. Nathan Hawthorne: I think that no, that's it, they are better than a seven and a half one team. And part of the deal is if they don't win nine games. Dan Quinn's out. He's gonna be doing everything that he can to get this team moving in the right direction. I think it I think that they are a much better team than you are giving them credit for. Substantially. Jarod McInroy: I disagree. here's what we're Nathan Hawthorne: That's fine. Jarod McInroy: gonna do. we're gonna we're gonna end it there. Let's let's finish our final rankings. We'll both do our own because we have two completely different rankings. Nathan Hawthorne: Entirely different. Jarod McInroy: I'll start us off here. It's it's cowboys one, it's Eagles two, it's Commanders three, it's Giants four. It's that's the answer, that's the only answer. but go ahead and give us yours. Nathan Hawthorne: We'll snake draft this because the Giants are gonna remain at the bottom. The Cowboys are gonna finish third. The Commanders, huge caveat here with a healthy Jaden Daniels finish second. And I think the Eagles run away with this division. They're number one. Jarod McInroy: All right. Ask the question. Nathan Hawthorne: We're gonna have to book, we're gonna have to, we're gonna have to bookmark this one. Now, this one is a little interesting. There's some talent, there's some what if, there's some who really knows. Okay, rank these quarterbacks for me. We have got Jalen Hurts, we've got Jaden Daniels, we've got Dak Dak Prescott, and we've got Jackson Dart. Rank these quarterbacks for me. Jarod McInroy: Well let's get the easy one out of the way. Jackson Dart's at the bottom. He's number four. I have a tough time. No, I'm I'm gonna do it. Just I I don't care. I'm not gonna I'm not here to spare feelings. number three is Jalen Hurts. He is. I I'm sorry. He won the Super Bowl. I I'm so happy for him. but Jalen Hurts at this current moment, I I have to give the nod to Jaden Daniels. I'm not going to now it n If he has, you know, a few more injured seasons, he doesn't quite come back the same way, whatever. I'm taking him just off his most recent playing. Jaden Daniels is is legitimate. He's number two though. Dak Prescott's the best quarterback in this division. And I think anybody who watches football could agree with that. Nathan Hawthorne: Yeah, maybe. Jarod McInroy: Not maybe. It's it's pretty Nathan Hawthorne: Maybe. Jarod McInroy: solidified. He's done it and he's done it time and time again. He does need Nathan Hawthorne: He's the best score. Jarod McInroy: to win the big games. I know, I hear ya. But he's the best. Nathan Hawthorne: If we're going off of I believe you said this in our what would that have been? Our AFC West AFC North video. You talked about putting Caleb Williams up ahead of Goff for potential. So now hear me out. Goff kind of similar to Dak Prescott, right? Puts up a lot of great numbers, but maybe doesn't get you over the hump. Is there could you have that same potential conversation with Jaden Daniels overstepping Dak Prescott? Jarod McInroy: No, because I think Dak Prescott's career is Jaden Daniels ceiling for his career. So that's like that's his at his best. And that's a great ceiling, by the way. This is no disrespect. This is the this is n Nathan Hawthorne: Whoa. Okay. Okay. See clip that folks. Clip that. That's going out tonight. Jarod McInroy: that's no disrespect. Dak Prescott is he's a consummate professional, year in, year out, putting up the numbers, playing a lot of games. yeah, that's that's a great ceiling to have. he has always been a guy who he he will need the right system. He will need the right team, he will need the right guys around him to win the big game. but at the same time he can make some crazy plays that do elevate your team and do make an impact on the game and you know, they're not just it's it's kind of that that realm I was talking about with Jared Goff, like and or not Jared Goff, who was I yeah, Jared Goff. I was saying he's a game Nathan Hawthorne: Mm-hmm. Jarod McInroy: controller. It's there's a different tier there. Right right below game changer. it's right below the Patrick Mahomes, the Josh Allen's, the Lamar Jackson's, the Joe Burrows. Right below that, there's a game controller. They're not necessarily a system quarterback. They're better than that. and that's that's that's kind of where I see them both. But at this given moment I'm I'm giving it to Dad. Nathan Hawthorne: Okay. I can respect that. I appreciate your candidness when it comes to these quarterback Jarod McInroy: Course. Nathan Hawthorne: questions. Some divisions were much easier than others, but yeah, you you stuck it out for all of these. And that does kind of it it almost accurately reflects. No, it does accurately reflect your division standings. Does it not? Or did you have Jarod McInroy: No. No. I'm gonna have the Eagles above Eagles will finish above the commanders. Nathan Hawthorne: I thought you had Jaden above Jalen. Jarod McInroy: Yeah, so my my rankings go Cowboys, Nathan Hawthorne: Yeah, you do. Yeah, yep. Mm mm. Jarod McInroy: Eagles, Commanders, Giants. Nathan Hawthorne: Okay. I just wanted you to double down on that wildness. Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, that's gonna do it. was this the last division we broke down? Is that it? Jarod McInroy: Nope, we got the AFC East coming out. That will be the last Nathan Hawthorne: Okay, Jarod McInroy: one. Nathan Hawthorne: we got the AFC AFCs. Wow, only one more.
