Wagaman Sent Down as Robert Jr. Returns | New York Mets News
The Mets send Eric Wagaman back to Triple-A Syracuse to make room for the return of Luis Robert Jr., who’s activated from the 60-day injured list after a strong rehab stint. Robert, acquired in the offseason, hit .323 with two homers in eight games and is expected to energize the struggling offense. Wagaman, who was filling in, now gets consistent playing time in Syracuse — a positive move for his development and future call-ups.
